- 0:02Speaker 2: Good morning, family. Good morning.

- 0:06Speaker 1: Sam Lopez, a.k.a. DJ Sam Rock. So winners with a Z.org live.
- 0:11Speaker 1: So winners with a Z.org. The two platforms that I
- 0:15Speaker 1: highly recommend you go visit for these Morning Devos.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Amen.
- 0:19Speaker 1: Those platforms are much less distractions and much better, in
- 0:24Speaker 1: my opinion, than social media.
- 0:26Speaker 2: But if you're here, welcome back. Amen.
- 0:29Speaker 1: I know a lot of people It's more convenient for
- 0:31Speaker 1: you to get on social media platforms, your favorite platform
- 0:35Speaker 1: to listen or watch.
- 0:36Speaker 2: But the website is always available. Thank you, Jesus. And
- 0:40Speaker 2: that's a better place, in my opinion. It's distraction free.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And you can get more into the word of God
- 0:45Speaker 1: that way with less distractions.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I try to be here weekdays, 530 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Amen.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So that way we can have focus on our faith
- 0:55Speaker 2: and know our purpose in the Lord. Amen. We could
- 0:57Speaker 2: do it one morning at a time. So today I'm
- 1:00Speaker 2: calling this one Salvation for Waiting. Amen. It's a blessing
- 1:05Speaker 2: for waiting upon the Lord. For real.
- 1:08Speaker 1: It's a blessing, tremendous blessing for waiting on God. So
- 1:12Speaker 1: I know that because the word says it.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Amen.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So it's really not my opinion. It's about the word
- 1:20Speaker 1: and what the word is saying. Hebrews chapter 9, verses
- 1:24Speaker 1: 27 and 28. That's where we're going to be at today.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Hebrews 9, 27. And 28, if you have any questions, comments, concerns,
- 1:33Speaker 1: or any prayer requests along those lines, please don't hesitate
- 1:36Speaker 1: to leave it on the live chat.
- 1:37Speaker 2: That's what we're here for. So let's pray.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Father, I thank you so much for your evidence and
- 1:44Speaker 1: your creation, your love for your creation, and your spirit
- 1:49Speaker 1: working through your children. I pray, Lord God, that you
- 1:53Speaker 1: will continue to be high and lifted up on these
- 1:56Speaker 1: morning devos. that you would teach us, inspire us, hold us,
- 2:01Speaker 1: keep us, that we could get to know you more
- 2:04Speaker 1: and more, Lord God. Thank you, Lord God, that you
- 2:06Speaker 1: have given us patience, which is part of the spiritual
- 2:09Speaker 1: gifts that you poured out among your people. And thank you,
- 2:13Speaker 1: Lord God, for your health, your strength, and your protection
- 2:16Speaker 1: that you allow us to experience on this side of eternity.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I pray, Lord God, I had your protection over myself,
- 2:22Speaker 1: my family, our children, our grandchildren, our whole entire bloodline,
- 2:28Speaker 1: in the powerful name of Jesus, that you would guide, guard,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and protect us, set forth arcane angels, ministering angels, warring angels,
- 2:36Speaker 1: to annihilate the tactics of the enemy over our lives.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I pray the same prayer of protection over every single
- 2:41Speaker 1: person that's connecting now or later, behind this microphone, behind
- 2:47Speaker 1: this camera. I thank you, Lord God, for every single
- 2:50Speaker 1: person that's connecting. Protect them, guide them, and guard them
- 2:53Speaker 1: as well. And I pray, Lord God, that the enemy
- 2:56Speaker 1: will not be able to distract us, but we will
- 2:59Speaker 1: stay focused on.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Who you are and what you're doing.
- 3:03Speaker 1: And we'll know our purpose and we'll continue to wait
- 3:06Speaker 1: eagerly for your return. In Jesus' holy name, give you
- 3:09Speaker 1: thanksgiving and praise. And all those who agree, we say
- 3:12Speaker 1: amen to the amen. Help me share this out, ladies
- 3:15Speaker 1: and gentlemen, with as many people as possible. Whoever comes
- 3:17Speaker 1: into your heart, share this out. That's the unction and
- 3:20Speaker 1: that's the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Amen. So let's get into the scripture. Let's get into
- 3:24Speaker 2: this word. Amen.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Hebrews chapter number nine, verses 27 and 28. Word of
- 3:30Speaker 1: God is so powerful, right? Active, relevant, alive, sharper than
- 3:37Speaker 1: any double-edged sword. And the word of God is able
- 3:40Speaker 1: to do what the word is set to do. So
- 3:44Speaker 1: be encouraged and let's start to be transformed.
- 3:47Speaker 2: More and more, right?
- 3:50Speaker 1: Hebrews 9, 27 and 28. Just as man is appointed
- 3:56Speaker 1: to die once and after that to face judgment, so
- 4:01Speaker 1: also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of
- 4:05Speaker 1: many and he will appear a second time, not to
- 4:10Speaker 1: bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly
- 4:16Speaker 1: await him. And that's where the title popped out.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I was like, what? Salvation for waiting? Yes. Amen. Those
- 4:26Speaker 2: who are eagerly awaiting the return of our King, of
- 4:31Speaker 2: our Lord and our Savior. Amen.
- 4:35Speaker 1: We are the ones, right, that God's bringing salvation to.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Isn't that amazing? We're going to be rescued, man. We're
- 4:43Speaker 1: going to get off of this dark planet, earth, right?
- 4:49Speaker 1: And God, through Jesus, Jesus is God. He's going to
- 4:52Speaker 1: come back for his people and it's not to be
- 4:56Speaker 1: in a negotiation mode it's not to be like please
- 4:59Speaker 1: and begging people to you know turn their lives to
- 5:02Speaker 1: him no at that point all of that is going
- 5:05Speaker 1: to be too late amen so let's get it right
- 5:09Speaker 1: right now with the lord it's not hard to get
- 5:11Speaker 1: things right with the lord amen it's about humbling yourself
- 5:15Speaker 1: admitting that you need him believe in him and then
- 5:18Speaker 1: confessing him as your personal lord and savior sister joanne
- 5:20Speaker 1: i see you good morning my sister my friend Good morning,
- 5:23Speaker 1: God bless you. Welcome back to the Morning Devo. So
- 5:26Speaker 1: we know that those who are eagerly awaiting his return
- 5:31Speaker 1: will be saved because the word says it. If God
- 5:34Speaker 1: promises something in his word, we are guaranteed 100% because
- 5:39Speaker 1: of his past reputation, his reputation today, that he will
- 5:44Speaker 1: come through on his promise. All God's promises in the
- 5:48Speaker 1: scriptures are accurate and yea and amen. So if you
- 5:53Speaker 1: ever waited for something so important that you couldn't hardly
- 5:57Speaker 1: contain your excitement, right? When we were kids around Christmas,
- 6:02Speaker 1: at least in my family, when we were kids, amen,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we weren't rich, amen, but we had family and we
- 6:09Speaker 1: had values and we had each other. And when Christmas
- 6:13Speaker 1: came around, we were excited. My siblings were excited because
- 6:17Speaker 1: we knew that something new was coming. We were to
- 6:20Speaker 1: get something, amen. We weren't inspecting. brand new cars, houses,
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, jewelry, but we were expecting something. Our parents
- 6:29Speaker 1: were creative. Our family was creative when it came to
- 6:32Speaker 1: Christmas time. You know, we are, people are more creative
- 6:36Speaker 1: when we have less money and finances, stuff like that,
- 6:40Speaker 1: than when we did, when we do have, at least
- 6:43Speaker 1: in my opinion. So we were excited about what we
- 6:46Speaker 1: were going to get. So we experienced that. I experienced
- 6:49Speaker 1: that when I was young, right?
- 6:51Speaker 2: So, But now, maybe you're looking for something more than that.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Maybe you're looking for a breakthrough.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Maybe you're expecting an answered prayer to come to pass
- 7:04Speaker 1: or a promise that you're trusting God to fulfill. But listen, waiting,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and nowadays, as a grown-up, amen, could be difficult. That
- 7:18Speaker 1: waiting process, not easy. But when it comes to it,
- 7:25Speaker 1: and when it comes to the return of Jesus Christ, amen,
- 7:30Speaker 1: that type of waiting, that type of hope will never
- 7:33Speaker 1: disappoint you, will never disappoint me. All these other things here, right,
- 7:38Speaker 1: these temporary things, is really setting us up for disappointment sometimes, right?
- 7:45Speaker 1: You're waiting for a deal to fall through for your business.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You're waiting for a call and an opportunity for a
- 7:51Speaker 1: new job or a new position. You're waiting for a
- 7:55Speaker 1: stimulus check from the government. Whatever the situation is, those
- 7:59Speaker 1: things will set you up for disappointment sometimes. But when
- 8:03Speaker 1: you are waiting for a promise, when you are waiting
- 8:06Speaker 1: for a breakthrough because of the Lord, when you are
- 8:08Speaker 1: waiting for God to fulfill His promise, that type of hope,
- 8:13Speaker 1: that type of trust, that type of waiting process and patience,
- 8:17Speaker 1: will never disappoint us. 100% accurate all the time. 100%
- 8:24Speaker 1: God will show up on his promise.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Amen?
- 8:28Speaker 1: So we're reminded right here in Hebrews chapter 9 verses
- 8:31Speaker 1: 27 and 28. We're reminded that there are two important truths, right?
- 8:39Speaker 1: That as believers, we could definitely hold on to.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Our lives are temporary. That's one truth. And Eternity is real.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Like this time is short. Eternity is forever times infinity.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Amen?
- 8:55Speaker 1: So therefore, I like to shift my focus off this
- 8:59Speaker 1: temporary thing onto eternal things.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Eternity. It's a very long time.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm not a great mathematician, but I know this, that temporary, right,
- 9:11Speaker 1: is less than eternity.
- 9:14Speaker 2: How about that? Time. Time.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Time waits for no one, my uncle used to tell me.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I realize that now as I get older. But
- 9:23Speaker 1: when you're waiting, amen, on an eternal promise, the temporary
- 9:28Speaker 1: situation here becomes less and less important. Now, I think
- 9:34Speaker 1: that we should be eagerly waiting. And while we're waiting,
- 9:38Speaker 1: we're occupying. And while we're occupying, we're witnessing, we're preaching,
- 9:42Speaker 1: we're making disciples. We're telling people about the Lord Jesus
- 9:46Speaker 1: Christ everywhere we go.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Amen.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I think that's our opportunity to join in in the
- 9:51Speaker 1: kingdom building business of what God is doing.
- 9:54Speaker 2: God builds the kingdom. We don't.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Human hands cannot build the kingdom. I see it all
- 9:59Speaker 1: the time on comments and posts and all that. Brothers
- 10:02Speaker 1: and sisters saying, we're building the kingdom.
- 10:04Speaker 2: No, you're not.
- 10:05Speaker 1: The kingdom of God cannot be built by human hands.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Amen.
- 10:10Speaker 1: But that's not biblically correct by me saying or you
- 10:13Speaker 1: saying that we're building the kingdom. No, we're expanding the
- 10:16Speaker 1: gospel message.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Amen.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And the message is, is being preached all around the world,
- 10:21Speaker 1: expanding the message of God. God himself will be doing
- 10:25Speaker 1: the building of the kingdom. So Jesus did what no
- 10:30Speaker 1: human being could ever do. In this whole entire planet, universe,
- 10:37Speaker 1: no other human being can do.
- 10:39Speaker 2: What Jesus did.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Jesus, the God-man, offered up himself once for all to
- 10:49Speaker 1: bear all of our sins.
- 10:51Speaker 2: How about that?
- 10:52Speaker 1: I can't bear your sins. You can't bear my sins.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And definitely we can't bear everyone's sins of the world.
- 10:58Speaker 1: But Jesus did it, right? That sets him apart from us.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Amen? He's God.
- 11:05Speaker 1: His sacrifice was more than enough. The Bible says his
- 11:10Speaker 1: sacrifice was sufficient. His blood was powerful, is powerful, Amen.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Will remain powerful for all eternity. And his victory opens
- 11:22Speaker 1: up the way.
- 11:23Speaker 2: The way to what?
- 11:25Speaker 1: The way for us to receive salvation through faith in him.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Not through faith in a religion. Not through faith in
- 11:34Speaker 1: a church. Not through faith in a pastor, preacher, evangelist, prophet, apostle, right?
- 11:43Speaker 2: Teacher. No. No.
- 11:46Speaker 1: The way for us to receive this salvation is through
- 11:51Speaker 1: the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 11:53Speaker 2: He makes it plain over.
- 11:55Speaker 1: And over and over again all throughout the scriptures that
- 11:58Speaker 1: he's the only way, the only truth, and the only
- 12:03Speaker 1: life that really matters.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Amen? Everything else is superficial. Everything else is temporary.
- 12:11Speaker 1: But the Lord Jesus' salvation is that we can receive,
- 12:15Speaker 1: that we have as born-again believers, is for all eternity.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Right?
- 12:21Speaker 1: But the promise doesn't end at the cross. It doesn't
- 12:24Speaker 1: end at the cross. I know a lot of people
- 12:25Speaker 1: like to cut it right there. Oh, the cross, the
- 12:28Speaker 1: sin debt was paid, and that's it. It's more than that.
- 12:31Speaker 1: If that was the case, if the cross was it,
- 12:34Speaker 1: then Jesus would not have said, it is finished. No,
- 12:39Speaker 1: he would have just said, okay, I'm done. The cross
- 12:42Speaker 1: was my final effort for humanity. Jesus didn't say that.
- 12:46Speaker 1: He said, it is finished.
- 12:47Speaker 2: The mission that the Father sent the Son, the only
- 12:52Speaker 2: begotten Son of God, was completed. Mission complete.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Now on this side of eternity, we're benefiting off of
- 13:01Speaker 1: the finished, completed work of our.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Lord and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 13:07Speaker 1: So just as man is appointed to die once, the
- 13:10Speaker 1: scripture says it, and after that to face judgment So
- 13:14Speaker 1: whether you believe in God or not, you're appointed once
- 13:17Speaker 1: to die and to face judgment, right? So also Christ
- 13:21Speaker 1: was offered once, once, not 10 times. He's not going
- 13:25Speaker 1: to be going to the cross over and over again
- 13:27Speaker 1: to sacrifice himself. Once for all, for many, to bear
- 13:33Speaker 1: the sins of many, the Bible says. And he will
- 13:35Speaker 1: bear the sins of many and he will appear a
- 13:39Speaker 1: second time, right? Some theologians say this is like the
- 13:43Speaker 1: third appearance.
- 13:44Speaker 2: That he's coming back.
- 13:45Speaker 1: But the scripture says he will appear a second time,
- 13:48Speaker 1: not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to who?
- 13:53Speaker 2: To everybody?
- 13:53Speaker 1: No, not to everybody. He will bring salvation to those
- 13:59Speaker 1: who eagerly await him. So that's why I said in
- 14:04Speaker 1: this title, amen, salvation for waiting, for waiting, amen, for
- 14:11Speaker 1: being patient, Eagerly awaiting the promise of God. Eagerly awaiting
- 14:16Speaker 1: the return of our Lord. Eagerly awaiting the promises of God.
- 14:20Speaker 2: It's so worth it. Jesus came to save us. A
- 14:24Speaker 2: rescue mission. Amen? So there is no other hope. There
- 14:29Speaker 2: is no other life. There is no other way. There
- 14:31Speaker 2: is no other eternal promise that we can count on
- 14:37Speaker 2: other than Jesus. How about that?
- 14:40Speaker 1: Every other religion is really man-made, making stuff up, hopeful,
- 14:46Speaker 1: wishful thinking, amen? But being a Christ follower, following his way,
- 14:52Speaker 1: knowing his word, and trusting in his promises is going
- 14:56Speaker 1: to get us places.
- 14:58Speaker 2: It's going to get us places.
- 15:00Speaker 1: That's why I'm 100% sold into this, because I know
- 15:06Speaker 1: that God is real. Through experience, through his word, through
- 15:09Speaker 1: others' testimonies and everything like that, I could literally see
- 15:13Speaker 1: the move and hand of God on people's.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Lives, including my own. I know who I was in 2001,
- 15:20Speaker 2: and I know who I am now. Amen.
- 15:24Speaker 1: And I identify with this knowing of who I am.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I identify with Christ Jesus. And I suggest you should
- 15:31Speaker 1: do the same. If you're having issues, problems, maybe you're
- 15:35Speaker 1: dealing with doubt, worry, or maybe you are in unbelief
- 15:39Speaker 1: right now, We go through these stages, right, as human beings.
- 15:43Speaker 1: We're learning that. I'm learning that at my church. In
- 15:47Speaker 1: our morning adult Bible studies, faith first doubt, it's a
- 15:52Speaker 1: real thing. What we're going through as believers, but we
- 15:55Speaker 1: can trust in the Lord and know that he is
- 15:58Speaker 1: with us every step of the way. One of the
- 16:01Speaker 1: promises of God is that he will never leave us
- 16:03Speaker 1: nor forsake us, so therefore we're never alone. I remember
- 16:07Speaker 1: I was telling somebody about my church situation and my
- 16:10Speaker 1: family And that I was somewhere else. My family was
- 16:14Speaker 1: somewhere else. And my young sister in Christ said, you're
- 16:18Speaker 1: never alone. She reminded me, you're never alone, Sam. The
- 16:21Speaker 1: Holy Spirit is always with you. And it sounds generic
- 16:23Speaker 1: to some people. But to me, that was the truth.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And it reminded me that God will always be with me.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Amen.
- 16:30Speaker 1: And he will always be with you no matter what
- 16:33Speaker 1: the situation is. Maybe it's relationships, family stuff, whatever's going on.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And there's a divide somewhere.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Amen. Within the family. But you're all serving the Lord. Amen.
- 16:47Speaker 2: There should be order in the home. I absolutely agree
- 16:50Speaker 2: with that.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And because there should be order in the home, God
- 16:53Speaker 1: will still show us and teach us and have grace
- 16:56Speaker 1: upon us. But we need to get things together. But
- 16:59Speaker 1: remember always that God will never leave you nor forsake you.
- 17:02Speaker 1: He will be with you, the Bible says, even to
- 17:05Speaker 1: the end of the age. So that's a promise that
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm holding on to. And it's a knowing promise. And
- 17:11Speaker 1: people will testify that and encourage you when you're going
- 17:15Speaker 1: through your stages of faith, first doubt, unbelief, whatever this
- 17:18Speaker 1: stage you're at.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Amen. Remind yourself that Jesus Christ will never disappoint you.
- 17:24Speaker 1: He would never leave you. He would never forsake you.
- 17:26Speaker 1: He would never put you to shame. He would not
- 17:28Speaker 1: deny you unless you deny him.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Amen.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And you keep on going with God's promises. The promise
- 17:34Speaker 1: of God never ended at the cross.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Same Jesus.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Who died for our sins, and there were many, will
- 17:44Speaker 1: appear again. He is in return and to repeat his
- 17:48Speaker 1: sacrifice for sin.
- 17:49Speaker 2: In other words, this is not going to.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Be a reenactment or a replay of him going back
- 17:55Speaker 1: to the cross. So he's not going to crack open
- 17:57Speaker 1: the sky, right? And come back and say, where's the
- 18:00Speaker 1: second cross? He's not going to do that. I know
- 18:04Speaker 1: people wish that was going to happen, but it's not
- 18:06Speaker 1: going to happen. He's returning to fulfill God's promise and
- 18:11Speaker 1: bring salvation to those who eagerly await him. Those who
- 18:17Speaker 1: are about the kingdom business here right now, waiting on
- 18:21Speaker 1: the Lord, trusting on the Lord.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Amen.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Hoping on the Lord, because we know we're saved by
- 18:26Speaker 1: the Lord. We're eagerly waiting for his return. He's coming
- 18:29Speaker 1: to save us. Salvation doesn't stop at the cross. Salvation
- 18:33Speaker 1: is a day-to-day thing. process right he's saving us from
- 18:37Speaker 1: xyz he saved you and he saved me from things
- 18:40Speaker 1: that we didn't even know we needed salvation from think
- 18:44Speaker 1: about it god knows all things so how should we
- 18:47Speaker 1: live while we're waiting this this is a lot of
- 18:50Speaker 1: things a lot of people i've heard a lot of
- 18:52Speaker 1: people say well might as well just you know forget
- 18:56Speaker 1: about the world and you know just wait for god
- 19:00Speaker 1: no we're commissioned to go and preach the gospel people
- 19:03Speaker 1: forget about that part Evangelism is a thing. Evangelism is
- 19:09Speaker 1: a God idea. Going out and reaching people with the
- 19:12Speaker 1: gospel message is a God idea. I didn't make that up.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You didn't make that up. That was God's idea. So
- 19:20Speaker 1: how should we live while we wait? Ever thought about that?
- 19:24Speaker 1: So while I'm waiting, I might as well do something. Yeah,
- 19:28Speaker 1: do something that's going to make sense According to the
- 19:35Speaker 1: kingdom principles of God. Don't make stuff up. Don't try
- 19:39Speaker 1: to reinvent the wheel, right? Let's do what God called
- 19:42Speaker 1: us to do. So this is one of a couple
- 19:45Speaker 1: of things I've seen.
- 19:47Speaker 2: While we're waiting. What should we be waiting? How should
- 19:49Speaker 2: we wait? well number one wait with faith don't wait
- 19:55Speaker 2: without faith right don't wait thinking that you're just wasting
- 19:58Speaker 2: time no wait with faith trust God's promises even when
- 20:02Speaker 2: you can't see how everything is going to turn out
- 20:07Speaker 2: like you're not I'm not going to be able to
- 20:09Speaker 2: see how everything's going to finally unfold, but I'm trusting
- 20:12Speaker 2: in the one who sees things before I see it.
- 20:16Speaker 1: What about you? Number two, wait with readiness. I say
- 20:21Speaker 1: this all the time. Get ready and stay ready. He's
- 20:24Speaker 1: coming back.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Wait with readiness. Live each day with a heart surrendered
- 20:30Speaker 2: to Christ. That's nobody's business. Amen?
- 20:34Speaker 1: Surrender your heart to Christ. That's number one, right? It's
- 20:39Speaker 1: nobody's business whether or not you're behaving a certain way
- 20:42Speaker 1: that they want you to behave or they want you
- 20:44Speaker 1: to respond a certain way that they want you to respond.
- 20:47Speaker 1: They want you to pray crying and all this other stuff.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Those are opinions. I don't pray a lot crying. Sometimes
- 20:54Speaker 1: I do cry when I pray. That's not a mandate.
- 20:57Speaker 1: It's not necessary, amen, for me to cry every time
- 21:00Speaker 1: I pray. But people will put that on you as
- 21:04Speaker 1: almost like if you're not crying and I don't see
- 21:06Speaker 1: you crying, then you're not really praying.
- 21:08Speaker 2: That's nonsense. That's ridiculous. Amen.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Let's go with our relationship with God. When we pray,
- 21:16Speaker 1: just like when people say, I feel the presence of
- 21:18Speaker 1: the Lord, right? To me, it's a strange statement because
- 21:23Speaker 1: in my mind, if the presence of the Lord is
- 21:27Speaker 1: in the building or wherever you're worshiping, I think everybody
- 21:31Speaker 1: would be on their face. And again, I'm not God
- 21:36Speaker 1: and I'm I don't know everybody's personal relationship with God.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Some people do fall flat when they feel the presence
- 21:42Speaker 1: of the Lord. Some people stay standing. I have my
- 21:44Speaker 1: head down all the time when I feel the presence
- 21:46Speaker 1: of the Lord.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Although God is present right now because of his word, amen,
- 21:51Speaker 2: he's holding me up. I'm sitting.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm looking at a camera. I'm talking through a mic.
- 21:57Speaker 1: He's allowing this to happen. Yes, I understand that the
- 22:01Speaker 1: presence of the Lord brings freedom, liberty. I understand all
- 22:04Speaker 1: of that. But while I'm waiting... I'm going to wait
- 22:07Speaker 1: being ready, living each day with our hearts surrendered to Christ.
- 22:12Speaker 1: That might look something different than you and me. It
- 22:15Speaker 1: might look a little different between us, but let's surrender
- 22:17Speaker 1: our hearts to Christ. It's nobody's business. The reason why
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm saying that is people like to prejudge us.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Oh, you're a Christian?
- 22:25Speaker 1: Shouldn't you be speaking this way? Shouldn't you be dressing
- 22:28Speaker 1: that way? Shouldn't you be reading the Bible 24-7? Shouldn't
- 22:31Speaker 1: you just be a Christian? People have all these opinions.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Amen?
- 22:36Speaker 1: It's none of their business how we surrender our heart
- 22:38Speaker 1: to Christ. That's the business between me and the Lord
- 22:41Speaker 1: and you and the Lord.
- 22:42Speaker 2: And it's a beautiful business. Amen? How about this? Wait
- 22:47Speaker 2: with hope. Wait with hope.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Don't let the troubles of this world, and there are
- 22:52Speaker 1: going to be many. Jesus promised us trials and tribulations
- 22:56Speaker 1: in this world.
- 22:56Speaker 2: That's a promise. Don't let those troubles of this world
- 23:01Speaker 2: steal your confidence. God's eternal promise. Why? Why do I
- 23:08Speaker 2: say steal?
- 23:08Speaker 1: Because the enemy is the prince of the air. He's
- 23:12Speaker 1: in control of this world system, and he's trying to kill, steal,
- 23:17Speaker 1: and destroy.
- 23:18Speaker 2: Amen? That's not good news, right? He's an enemy. He
- 23:22Speaker 2: hates all of God's creation, not just Christians. People swear that,
- 23:29Speaker 2: you The devil only hates Christians. No, the devil hates
- 23:33Speaker 2: all of God's creations. All of God's creation. So get
- 23:37Speaker 2: that straight in your head and your mind. God knows
- 23:42Speaker 2: the enemy. Technically, God created the enemy. Amen.
- 23:47Speaker 1: And because God is love, God allowed the will of
- 23:52Speaker 1: Lucifer at the time, now it's the devil, do what
- 23:56Speaker 1: he wanted to do. You think God was worrying about,
- 23:58Speaker 1: oh my oh my, Lucifer is on the loose. I'm
- 24:01Speaker 1: going to lose my kingdom or I'm going to fall
- 24:05Speaker 1: off my throne.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Nope.
- 24:07Speaker 1: If you read the scriptures correctly, he was kicked out
- 24:10Speaker 1: by an angel. He wasn't even kicked out by God.
- 24:12Speaker 1: God sent an angel to say, can you handle this guy?
- 24:16Speaker 1: He's out of line, unfortunately.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Amen?
- 24:20Speaker 1: So it's not God versus the devil. It's not Jesus
- 24:22Speaker 1: versus the devil. The enemy is already defeated. We see
- 24:26Speaker 1: that in the scriptures, but I know We need to
- 24:28Speaker 1: be reminded about that. He's doing what he does, and
- 24:31Speaker 1: he does it at a level that you're like, wow,
- 24:34Speaker 1: he's just old. He's doing the same thing over and
- 24:38Speaker 1: over again, so he's good at it.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Kill, steal, and destroy. Kill, steal, and destroy.
- 24:42Speaker 1: We do that every time. He's doing that all the time,
- 24:45Speaker 1: so he gets real good at it. That's why I
- 24:47Speaker 1: don't engage with the devil. The devil is defeated. I
- 24:50Speaker 1: engage with my soul, which is saved, and I keep
- 24:57Speaker 1: The flesh, right, that I'm battling every day, I keep
- 25:01Speaker 1: the flesh in check. So wait with hope. Don't let
- 25:04Speaker 1: the troubles of this world steal your confidence. Keep your
- 25:09Speaker 1: confidence in Christ, amen, no matter what. Be stubborn with
- 25:13Speaker 1: your faith. Hold on to it tightly. Don't let nobody
- 25:18Speaker 1: take it away from you, amen. Don't let nobody interrupt
- 25:22Speaker 1: your relationship with the Lord. And wait with purpose. We
- 25:28Speaker 1: have a purpose, right? There's a plan that's perfect for
- 25:32Speaker 1: us individually that God has for us.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Amen?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Wait with purpose. Share the gospel. People might be like, oh,
- 25:41Speaker 1: you know, how about if they reject what I'm saying?
- 25:44Speaker 1: Or how about if I don't know enough of the scriptures?
- 25:46Speaker 1: How about if they want to argue? Well, share the gospel.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Leave the results. Leave all that up to the Lord Jesus.
- 25:53Speaker 1: If you have to walk away from a heated debate
- 25:56Speaker 1: or conversation today, And God is not giving you nothing
- 25:59Speaker 1: to say to this person or to these individuals or
- 26:02Speaker 1: to this group.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Walk away. It's okay. Amen. That's between them and the
- 26:07Speaker 2: Holy Ghost. Share the gospel.
- 26:10Speaker 1: The word of God will never return back void. The
- 26:15Speaker 1: word of God, when you preach it, when you speak it,
- 26:17Speaker 1: will never turn without power.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Right?
- 26:21Speaker 1: Never goes back to God and says, well, the word failed.
- 26:25Speaker 1: The word will never fail. The issue is people are
- 26:29Speaker 1: rejecting the truth of the Lord. People are rejecting the gospel.
- 26:33Speaker 1: That's the truth. Share the gospel anyway. Love others anyway.
- 26:39Speaker 1: And faithfully serve the Lord while you have the opportunity.
- 26:42Speaker 1: While we're here, let's be useful for the kingdom of God.
- 26:47Speaker 1: So this is something that we need to remind ourselves
- 26:51Speaker 1: every day. I remind myself a lot about this. Remembering
- 26:54Speaker 1: that waiting on Jesus... isn't a waste of time, right?
- 27:01Speaker 1: That's why a lot of people have comments about this
- 27:03Speaker 1: ministry and all these other ministries that are out here
- 27:06Speaker 1: doing this type of work, right? Oh, you should be
- 27:09Speaker 1: at a higher level, better place, more members, more followers.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Who said that, right? And where are they getting that from?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Or better yet, if you know a way to do that,
- 27:23Speaker 1: either you help another ministry or you start your own
- 27:26Speaker 1: Because you have all the answers. So go ahead and
- 27:29Speaker 1: preach the gospel and get all those people to follow you.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Right? It's very simple. I can't be telling.
- 27:37Speaker 1: You ever heard somebody say after they've been in ministry
- 27:39Speaker 1: for years and somebody comes in and they prophesy, God
- 27:43Speaker 1: told me this is only the beginning. And the minister
- 27:47Speaker 1: is saying, man, I've been doing this for like 20 years.
- 27:49Speaker 2: What do you mean it's only the beginning? You know
- 27:51Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 27:51Speaker 1: We say things, I guess, in good intention. But sometimes
- 27:58Speaker 1: we're just saying too much at the wrong time. So
- 28:02Speaker 1: we need to remember that waiting on Jesus isn't wasting time.
- 28:06Speaker 1: It's actually an opportunity to grow in faith, to mature spiritually,
- 28:12Speaker 1: and prepare for his return.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Right? So I'm out of time. Thank you so much.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Hebrews chapter 9, verses 27 and 28. Thank you for
- 28:21Speaker 1: allowing me to speak that into your life.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Amen. I know it's speaking into my life right now. Amen.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Read the whole chapter, Hebrews chapter 9. But again, I'm
- 28:29Speaker 1: out of time. Thank you so much for hanging out
- 28:31Speaker 1: with me for these morning devos. God bless you all.
- 28:35Speaker 1: God keep you all. And remember always that God is good.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Peace.
