- 0:27Hey, everybody, Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Talking today about power versus force, there is a big
- 0:34difference. Your power is something that's
- 0:36yours. It is made-up of your mindset.
- 0:39It's made-up of your demeanor. It's made-up of your character.
- 0:43Your power comes in through the elements of you that you
- 0:47cultivate to be yourself. Your integrity, your honor, how
- 0:53you show up, those are all things that fall under your
- 0:55power. Nobody can make you think
- 0:58something that you don't choose to think.
- 1:02Now, force that comes into like, you know when you're angry, when
- 1:06you're going to try to handle something through harsh words.
- 1:11Manipulation, gaslighting, right.
- 1:14Those things tend to fall under the the use of force.
- 1:18How do I go about this? And listen, sometimes you do
- 1:21need to be angry. There have been times in my life
- 1:23when showing up in a situation, it was necessary to show up
- 1:27angry. My son got picked on in school
- 1:29and the school did not want to deal with it for one reason or
- 1:33another. Because it was, you know, people
- 1:37in charge were children were involved.
- 1:40And I had to go in there and I had to use that force as as a
- 1:47weapon in that moment because otherwise I wasn't going to get
- 1:49the attention that needed to be done.
- 1:52But the moment I got the attention, I switched over to
- 1:54the power, which was the wizardry of working with what I
- 1:59had as skill sets. And there's a delicate balance
- 2:03between knowing when to use them and knowing when other people
- 2:08are using them for the wrong reasons, which is why I included
- 2:12in that list. The force comes in under
- 2:15manipulation, narcissism, gaslighting.
- 2:18All those things come in under that feeling of I'm being forced
- 2:22to do something. It is a force that I don't like.
- 2:26I I'm being shoved in that way. And so I'm bringing this up
- 2:31because I think that a lot of people struggle with, do I jump
- 2:37in and defend myself? Well, right now, the way you
- 2:44you're interpreting what's going on in your situation.
- 2:48If you're in this type of a situation, it all comes down to
- 2:52your interpretation and if you are letting people in your head
- 2:56again. Because nobody can make you
- 2:58think or feel or do things that you choose not to do.
- 3:02And you have to ask yourself, am I staying in a state where I'm
- 3:06present and I am in control of myself, or am I letting someone
- 3:09else control me, therefore I am no longer in my power.
- 3:14It's a really vital question to ask because it's imperative to
- 3:18stay in your power, always be checking back in with that,
- 3:22always be looking to working and staying in your power.
- 3:27Nothing is more important than that.
- 3:29Nothing, because it leads to everything great in your life.
- 3:33It leads to every bit of of your your own character development.
- 3:40When you are in your state of power, you're centered.
- 3:43You're certain you have the ability to flow.
- 3:47Sure, you do need to go to others sometimes.
- 3:49Sometimes force is necessary, but it's not often.
- 3:54And you can typically get more places than anything with your
- 4:01power, so it's a tricky thing to pay attention to.
- 4:05But you have to ask yourself, am I using my power or am I using
- 4:09my force to get what I want? And if you are someone who's
- 4:12listening to this, and you are someone who does use emotional
- 4:16manipulation and certain things with people, you have to ask
- 4:20yourself, really, why am I doing this?
- 4:22I don't need to do this. I can get what I want a better
- 4:26way and then feel better about it.
- 4:29If you're someone that's having that happen to you, you have to
- 4:32ask yourself, well, what's the reason I'm giving up my power to
- 4:36something that I know I don't like?
- 4:38And don't make yourself wrong for it, but just really debrief
- 4:42yourself as to what's the reason it's happening.
- 4:45Because ultimately, again, nobody can make you think, feel,
- 4:49do, ACT, be anything that you don't agree to in some way,
- 4:54shape or form. You have to be the person that's
- 4:57in charge of you and it's always necessary to look at it and can
- 5:02and keep asking yourself, am I on task to be the person that I
- 5:05want to be every single day? This is not a like a annual
- 5:09check in where you do it once in 365 days.
- 5:12You have to do it every damn day to stay on task.
- 5:16So really take a look at this power and force in your life,
- 5:20what's showing up for you around you and you.
- 5:23All of it, because it's necessary to understand it in
- 5:27order to work with it. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:30you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:32Bye.
