- 1:34SPEAKER_02: So I know you're gonna love this episode.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: This guest is really interesting.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Her name is Rohini Marathi, and she was actually born in Iran, where her father ran the only Hindu temple in Iran during the Muslim revolution.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: So her family was actually driven out of Iran and then moved to India.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: But she grew up very spiritual.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: And now she uh uses the Akashic Records.
- 2:02SPEAKER_02: She's a spiritual teacher, and she has a very interesting approach to how she teaches people how to work with the Akashic Records and how she works with the Akashic Records.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: So I know you're gonna find this really interesting.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: She has a really great energy, and just her take on things is very fascinating based on just who she is and her background.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: So I know you're gonna love this episode.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: And just a few announcements.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: So right now, my Black Friday event, Bold Moves, is going on.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: And I'm super excited about this because this came through the other night.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: I knew I wanted to do something for Black Friday, but I wasn't sure like what the vibe was gonna be.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: And then I had a client who signed up for trust, and she was like, I'm so excited to be in your world and be fearless and bold.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: And like something about that just struck me.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: And I was like, oh wow, you know, that's really kind of what it's all about.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: And I kind of took that as the vibe for this sale because one of the things I know that has contributed so immensely to my growth is just to move in this very bold way and make these big and bold moves that didn't necessarily make sense or were definitely scary as far as investing, as far as commitment, as far as growth.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: But I did it anyway.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: And those kind of bold moves always yield these very big results.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: So this sale is basically a discount on every single one of my group programs.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: So right now, um until December 1st, you can join Trust, which is my eight-week program to activate a deep level of trust, clarity, confidence, and access to the all-knowing part of yourself and clearing the trauma and programming that creates self-doubt.

- 4:08SPEAKER_02: So the Quantum Accelerator is relaunching in January as a 12-week group private hybrid program.

- 4:25SPEAKER_02: So I just changed up the energy of this.

- 6:55SPEAKER_02: I know you're gonna love this episode.
- 6:57SPEAKER_02: Have an amazing holiday weekend, and I will talk to you soon.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: Hi everyone, welcome back to the show.
- 7:05SPEAKER_03: So, you guys are gonna love today's guest.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: So, today we have Rohini Marathi with us, and she was born into a spiritually driven life in Tehran, Iran, where her father ran the only Hindu temple in the city during the Muslim Revolution.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: During her childhood, her family traveled throughout India, devoted to a colorful yogic life.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: Rohini got to experience an upbringing that was centered around a love for their community.
- 7:30SPEAKER_03: Her days were filled with meditation, chanting yoga, and cleansing the body in an effort to grow as a spiritual being.
- 7:37SPEAKER_03: Today, Rohini is internationally recognized as a teacher of the Akasha and Spiritual Explorer.
- 7:42SPEAKER_03: Through her revolutionary approach to empowering spirituality, spiritually curious individuals, Rohini guides her community through a wondrous journey inward so they can experience the awe of a limitless reality.
- 7:54SPEAKER_03: Well, you couldn't be more aligned for our show.
- 7:57SPEAKER_03: Welcome, Rohini.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 7:59SPEAKER_03: Thanks for having me, Elise.
- 8:01SPEAKER_03: It's wonderful to be here.
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'm so excited to just like dive into your story a little more.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: So I know like your bio described it a little bit.
- 8:09SPEAKER_03: So can you just like tell us a little bit about, you know, kind of your spiritual awakening and kind of how you got to where you are now?
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: I truly believe we're all spiritually awake, you know, when we're born.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: It's not like a crazy thing.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: We're all spiritual beings in these bodies.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: So I feel like my upbringing nurtured that a lot, you know, and helped me understand it a little better.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: It wasn't until our temple was seized and we had to leave Iran and come to America where I feel like my spirituality was really taken away because it was really scary to talk about who I was out loud, especially being like an Iranian woman, you know.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: So for a long time I hid it and it didn't really resurface until uh sadly the passing of my infant daughter, which happened in 2018.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: And I say like my revisit to my spiritual self happened when my first daughter was born, but it wasn't the unwinding took a few years.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: And when this trauma happened with my second daughter, it forced me into finding refuge in the modalities I had grown up with and reconnecting with my essence.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: So I feel like that is when the awakening happened per se.
- 9:32SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 9:33SPEAKER_03: So what are like some of the spiritual modalities that you grew up with?
- 9:38SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, we lived in a Hindu temple, so it it involves a lot of like the westernized things we see and starting to like trickle in at this point.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: But you know, as you know, like yoga has eight limbs or a lot of different ways of living with the ideology of yoga.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: So the way our day looked like was we would wake up early, we would do like the nasal cleansing just to like clear all the gunk out.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: Um, we would do breathing exercises, meditating, and a lot of times one of the most powerful ways of meditation is like uh chanting.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: So we would do chanting for hours and then yoga, sauna, and all that.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: But one um besides like taking care of ourselves in that way, because there's like spirituality isn't just about going inward and like taking care of ourselves, it's about taking what we learn and putting it outward, and a big part of that was connecting with our community.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: So after that, we would like cook big pots of food and stuff like that and go hand it out to neighbors or uh unhoused people in our neighborhood and just to connect and give everyone, you know, a little bit of love.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, you're important.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: We thought about you and we made you this.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: So that was that was another way of living in that type of life.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it was wonderful.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: We we did that in Tehran where we grew up, and we also had our own farm, like in the outskirts of uh Tehran, where we would grow our own vegetables and like fruit and stuff, and then bring that back and like give it to people.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: But we also got to travel all over India and stay at like different amazing temples, like ancient, ancient temples that a lot of people can't even go into these days, and also practice with like these ancient sages, pretty much.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: So it's like a really cool thing.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's really awesome.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: That's really awesome.
- 11:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was really, I mean, it's a very privileged way of growing up in the way I I see it.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: And one of the main reasons we were invited to go to all these places is because my father was able to have a temple during a Muslim revolution.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: Like everyone was like so blown away that he was holding on to this, even though every outside force is like trying to jail him, you know, like come against him in any way they could.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: But he managed to make it work for like eight years, nine years.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: So it's kind of incredible.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: It's incredible.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: He was a star.
- 12:14SPEAKER_03: That's yeah, that's insane.
- 12:16SPEAKER_03: So, like, I want to understand more about that.
- 12:19SPEAKER_03: So, what was going on during the Muslim Revol Revolution?
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: So we can kind of understand, like, so they they didn't want him to, they didn't want any other religions or any other ways of looking at things, obviously, right?
- 12:33SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: I was born a year after the revolution had started.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: So I was just like born into it.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: And they wanted like pretty much church and state to be one and everyone to be under one religion.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: And anyone who was not got tortured, wiped out, and at a certain point, people were not even able to travel out.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: So a lot of people didn't get out, and they were just stuck in this country where the government hates them.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: You know, it was a terrifying thing.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: And I think as a society too, we always have to remember that these things happen because prior to that, Iran was not that way at all.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: It wasn't a Muslim country.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: There were a lot of Muslim practicing people, but it wasn't the church and the state weren't connected in that way.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: You know, people had the freedom of religion to an extent.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: It was there's always been problems in that part of the world, but yeah, it wasn't the way it is now, which is terrifying.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: And, you know, I I went back and visited Iran a few times after we moved away in 1989.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: And it's really, it was really expensive to travel at that time and were like really poor.
- 13:46SPEAKER_01: So it didn't happen that often.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: But the times that it did, it was like completely different places each time.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Like one time we would go and everyone looked joyous and happy and like their head job, the head coverings were like hanging down.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: It's like you have to wear them, but no one really cares.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: And then the next time we went, everyone's like really strict, no one's smiling or looking at each other because like the government had cracked down.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: It's like, no, you're not following this religion to a T.
- 14:12SPEAKER_01: So yeah, growing up in that environment was kind of terrifying.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: I remember crying so hard when I had to start going into first grade.
- 14:21SPEAKER_01: Because up until kindergarten, kids don't have to wear the head job covering, but starting in first grade, you have to start covering up.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: And I didn't grow up with all the specific religious stuff that goes along with being a Muslim.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: We were just kind of surviving amongst you know, this overtaking.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: So when I would go to school, everyone's doing like the prayers and stuff, and I didn't know how to say any of this.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: I was just like looking at everybody else and trying to follow what they're doing so I don't get in trouble.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: Which I often did, but that's a whole nother story.
- 14:59SPEAKER_03: So then, like, what would they try to do to your father?
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: Like, would they tell him he had to leave or like would they threaten him?
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's he went to jail quite a few times.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: And the main reasons he was able to get out was because my mom's family had connections or whatnot.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: And before like they even started torturing him and stuff, he's he was able to get out.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: So that's really cool.
- 15:23SPEAKER_01: But his um restaurant got seized because it was an Indian restaurant, and through like all the social gathering gatherings, we had like we had Sunday cookouts where people would come and you know, they'd read from the Bhadvad Gita, like discuss it, and it's like Bible study, but Hindu.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but they always had a government official standing there making sure he doesn't say anything against the Muslim religion and things like that.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: So wow, yeah, and you know what's funny is like I remember during like the final days, more government officials started showing up, and I'm like, it's kind of interesting.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: We moved away, like, and I was a kid, so I think to protect me, my parents didn't tell me everything, you know, it's probably a good thing because it would be terrifying.
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: But yeah, more government officials started showing up, and then there's like this somber feeling when we left.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: And when we went back, like a five years later or something, I don't remember the exact amount of years.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: One of the government officials who was at every single one of our meetings ended up taking over that house.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: Like, and he lived there with his family.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: Oh wow.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: This is kind of yeah.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: I'm like, ha.
- 16:38SPEAKER_03: You were stalking this building, and now you're gross.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: Wow, that's like such an interesting.
- 16:47SPEAKER_03: So, how old were you when you moved out of there?
- 16:50SPEAKER_03: I was eight years old.
- 16:51SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, 1989.
- 16:54SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 16:55SPEAKER_03: We're like the exact same age then.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: Are we?
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: Oh my gosh, I'm 41.
- 17:00SPEAKER_03: Wow, okay.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: I feel like there's so much to like unpack here because I really want to also talk about your work and everything.
- 17:06SPEAKER_03: So you basically always grew up with this spirituality, like, because it's funny too, because like, you know, I discovered Hinduism and all of that when I was a late teen, early 20s, and like um you mentioned like the channing and stuff.
- 17:21SPEAKER_03: And the first time I ever started to do channing or went to a yoga class where they had channing, it was like it just opened something up for me, and it really like touched me in such a deep way.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: And I feel so it's just so powerful for me to do that.
- 17:39SPEAKER_03: So that's so cool that you got to grow up with that and always kind of have access to all of that.
- 17:45SPEAKER_03: So is that something like you said?
- 17:47SPEAKER_03: I know you said when the trauma happened with losing your daughter, you really drew on that, but was that something that was always kind of a part of your life?
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, absolutely.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: I had built like a very deep personal relationship, I feel, with like the deities and just the just the love, because our lineage comes from like is in the line of bhakti yoga, so it's like devotional love, you know, which is most a lot of Hinduism is that way where you have a deity where you just devote your love to.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: And you know, the purpose of that is to like practice growing your heart so that you connect with others in love, right, and you know, realize your oneness.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: But yeah, I I had built such a stronger relationship in my heart that it's like that didn't go away.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: I would still, you know, call on Krishna or you know, Ganesha, or you know, say prayers of gratitude and whatnot.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: But I have to be honest, like after my daughter passed, I went through a period where I was like mad at all of that, like really angry.
- 18:52SPEAKER_01: Like, how could this happen to people?
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: Like it's not just me, but it happens to like so many people every day.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: Like, how do these horrible things happen?
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: And you say like it's about love, and it's just like it didn't make sense to me.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: So I had to like re-explore and contemplate on that idea and find my meaning.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:14SPEAKER_03: Well, I think that's kind of you know, I my father had told me at one point.
- 19:18SPEAKER_03: So my my father grew up pretty like religious, Jewish, pretty religious, and my grandmother was very religious, and they always went to synagogue.
- 19:28SPEAKER_03: She was like such a good Jew, always there, like every holiday, whatever.
- 19:32SPEAKER_03: And then when she passed away, like she passed away when my dad was pretty young, like maybe you know, a teenager or early 20s or something.
- 19:40SPEAKER_03: And my dad told me that like once she passed away, he couldn't really like practice the religion anymore.
- 19:47SPEAKER_03: Like he, you know, he still considers himself Jewish, but he doesn't fully embrace it the way he used to, because he kind of felt the same way you're describing.
- 19:56SPEAKER_03: Like if she was such a good Jew, then like why did this happen?
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: Type of a thing.
- 20:00SPEAKER_03: And I feel like that is something that happens sometimes where you have like a tragedy happen and then you kind of question like why this happened or what you believed before.
- 20:11SPEAKER_03: But I know that there's always meaning in it if you decide to find that meaning.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I feel like that dismantling aspect of it is quite important actually, because the investigative part of ourselves comes out and we learn how to discern our truth from what we're being told.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: And you know, and that's where a lot of the control with religion comes from, too, is that people just don't discern, they just believe blindly.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: So, you know, and it's just I always say, like, if an idea or something is taking you outside of yourself, you might want to start questioning that a little bit, you know?
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 20:51SPEAKER_03: And I think that's the issue with religion.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: And even I was talking about this earlier with somebody about AA, because I feel like that's kind of like a religion too.
- 20:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 20:58SPEAKER_03: Where like it's like, okay, there's these concepts within it, right?
- 21:01SPEAKER_03: For example, within an AA or within a religion that are very powerful and helpful for people and give people a direction and a connection and an experience of a connection to themselves and the universe in a deeper way.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: However, then there's these other like very dogmatic things that it's like, well, you have to do this.
- 21:21SPEAKER_03: And it's like, but what if that isn't aligned for me?
- 21:24SPEAKER_03: And that was something about religion that always I had a hard time with because when people are just blindly following something, then that creates a problem, right?
- 21:33SPEAKER_03: Which we obviously are seeing in the world to a great degree right now.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: I mean, over and over again though, when have we not seen that in the world?
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: It's always held over people's heads and just like taking their power away, you know.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: And I honestly don't think it's all about just like being sovereign and doing our own thing either.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: I think there's like a balance of just like you know, of knowing our ourselves, but being able to connect with the people around us at the same time without thinking that we have to be a certain way to do so.
- 22:08SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:09SPEAKER_03: So I love to like jump in a little more to like, you know, how you got into what you're doing now and what you do now.
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: It's a weird thing.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: It's definitely a weird jump.
- 22:23SPEAKER_03: Totally.
- 22:24SPEAKER_03: I hear you.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: It's not like the thing where people at parties, people are like, oh, what do you do?
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh well.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: I don't want to tell you.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: I've I've kept one foot like heavily grounded in this reality we've created, and the other foot in the unknown.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: So I feel like I'm I have just like split and it feels nice because at parties, I tell people about my grounded side of I own a bartending school.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: I teach people, you know, like I do that.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: And then if anybody brings the other stuff out, I'm like, yeah, I do that too.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: And I will not be having a discussion.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: But the way I got into all of this is it's still surreal and I'm still processing it.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: It's been like four and a half years, maybe five years.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: But after my daughter passed, I started meditating again.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: And I started, I didn't want my heart to close.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: And it was starting to close.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: I was starting to just shut people out.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: I'm still working on that.
- 23:34SPEAKER_01: I do shut people out still, but it's difficult when you experience trauma.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: But it's like I don't want that, I don't want that pain to come back.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: It's like really uh horrible.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: So when I realized it's starting to close, and I received some really great like feedback information about healing very early on.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: One of my dearest friends introduced me to her healer.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: And this woman is a like a real shamanic healer who gave me like the biggest gift ever, and which is like to not let your heart close.
- 24:10SPEAKER_01: Once you feel it closing, like start working on it.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: So I took that really seriously.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: I started meditating and feeling it opening constantly and worked on my energy centers.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: And one day in like meditation, very painful one, I was feeling all the emotions just healthy.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: I was letting it run through me.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: And when I was working on my heart energy center, I asked him like how can I heal from this?
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: How can this pain lessen?
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Like it's so grand for one person to carry.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: And I honestly think that's why I talk about it so much.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: But um after that point I started seeing the words Akashic records pop up everywhere.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: And I don't I don't know if you remember this period of time, but those words weren't everywhere.
- 25:02SPEAKER_01: It was like a really rare thing.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: And in the last like few years they've become pretty popular.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: But the words Akashic records weren't everywhere.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: So it popped up and at this point I I want to also say like I I think I saw it on social media but I wasn't following anybody because I didn't want to see anybody's happy pictures.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: I just was not in a happy place.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: I didn't I was following zero people and just sharing my story.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: Because I was like I don't care anyone thinks I just have to get it out.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: It's like it's weird stuff happening right now.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: So I ignored the words at first even though they like really struck me they shook me up and there's a familiarity with the energetics of the Akashic records.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: And I let it go I let it go and eventually I'm like fine what is this thing that keeps popping up for me?
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: Why these algorithms know us better than we know ourselves.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: Oh these fucking algorithms I know why is this coming to me so I started Googling it's the first thing we do right and all of this really weird information came up and I was like what no thank you I will not be pursuing this thing and it popped up more.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: Eventually I'm like okay fine I'll investigate I started watching YouTube videos none of it resonated or made sense to me.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: I read all the books I could get my hands on at the time none of it really resonated with me and like and at first I felt myself going on the ride of delusion in a way you know and I thought maybe it's because I don't know something but none of this seems it resonates like it doesn't it kind of had the same feel as like a religion in a way where it's like you have to do it this way this way this way if you're not doing this you're not going to be able to do this this or this and it's like all right I'm very familiar with this this world that that doesn't resonate with me.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Eventually like after like a year or so of going to like external information I'm like this is kind of driving me bonkers.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: It was making me like spin a little bit and there wasn't any real answers as to what this thing is.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: And I knew I had to find out somehow and I started going inward again.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: I put all that stuff away I'm like I can't I can't right now I need to figure out what why I'm so drawn to this.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: And I started meditating more and more specifically on these questions and it started opening up and my childhood upbringing yogic life everything somehow made sense all of a sudden and it was then that I realized like the Vedas like Bhadra Gita like all these like ancient texts are really trying to teach us it's like a manual for our computer bodies on how to live on this plane and the Akashic field at the same time to be aware of the all-knowingness the fabric of the universe while we are creating our lives in this reality.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: I'm like oh my gosh and then my brain blew out like that's what all of that is it's to work in our inner world so that we can connect to the outer world while being completely connected like plugging the wall kind of to the universe so that we can live intentionally holy moly and then the Akasha started making more sense.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: I'm like wow that makes sense it's not just about going and like checking out our past lives or anything it's about connecting to those parts of ourselves not only that we need to heal but to also activate and bring into this lifetime.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: And so it all changed and now I teach people how to do that because I fell down the misinformation rabbit hole myself and just making that realization that every single human even like these teachers who are teaching us about whatever modality it is that's their perception of it because they're a different human than we are.
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: And they're not wrong.
- 29:01SPEAKER_03: It just not everything resonates for everyone so let's find a way for us to work on ourselves so that we can create our own understanding of what this all is not that we'll ever know in this body but that I like the investigation aspect of it nonetheless, you know totally I love that you said that because I really feel like I actually hate when people ask me what the Akashic records are because I feel like it's like okay well I'm gonna tell you like what my interpretation is like my experience but everyone's experience is different right based on who they are and like what they're meant to share.
- 29:41SPEAKER_03: So it really is something that you kind of have to investigate for yourself and kind of figure out what it is to you.
- 29:48SPEAKER_03: And obviously it is a thing right but it it's kind of like the way that it's used I think is is kind of different for everybody.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: And I think it's like the idea of it is resurfacing and you know before the 1900s it was just a part of life for a lot of like indigenous cultures.
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: And then it was after the 1900 that it became a westernized idea through the theosophical society.
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: And I think it's important to bring that up too because that's when it's in my opinion it was colonized in a way and just kind of made into this very specific thing and it people ran with it from that point on because now you can market it and sell it because now there's this thing and um but for anyone listening the Akasha is just the fabric of the universe it's that nothingness that holds the potential for everythingness.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: And since we are made out of energy frequencies vibrations whatever these happenings are recorded within this fabric over time and that's all it is like you can think of it as your soul's ancestry you know your soul's DNA in a way which is all really connected to one DNA.
- 31:08SPEAKER_01: It's very simple yet complicated.
- 31:10SPEAKER_03: I know I totally agree and I love how you were talked about how like before the 1900s it just like was it wasn't like named because that's kind of how I felt about it.
- 31:22SPEAKER_03: You know I kind of had a similar experience where I felt drawn and I felt drawn and I felt drawn and I was like okay and I did this little like four week training on it.
- 31:32SPEAKER_03: And the first time I like went into my records which now I realize that's not something I even really have to do because I'm always there.
- 31:39SPEAKER_03: But like when I did that I had this like overwhelming realization this is what I do.
- 31:45SPEAKER_03: Like this is what I've always been doing.
- 31:46SPEAKER_03: And it just was like now it had a name but it was just me like it was just me being me you know and how I tune into energy but now it had a name right and I feel like like people always ask me about it and I'm like it's just what I do you know and I can explain it and everything but I love how you said that because that really just resonated and hit home for me because that's exactly how I felt about it.
- 32:11SPEAKER_03: So what would you describe as kind of like your flavor or your way that you really use the records and help people and how do you use the records?
- 32:21SPEAKER_03: What is your like flavor of the records?
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: It's evolved it's evolved and it started with just like figuring out who I am and then it started with like trying to figure out why we are all here.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: Like it just expanded into me and then everybody and then it went into like the purpose of the universe like you name it any questions that I've had I've just sat and meditated on.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: Today I don't like intentionally go and ask so many questions anymore.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: Because um at this point I feel like I'm familiar with my senses and I know how to turn them off and on.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: So if I'm feeling uncertain I know how to turn my senses off so that the buzz, the loudness goes away momentarily so I can have like a glimpse of clarity.
- 33:13SPEAKER_01: And I think that's what the Akasha is really for is like to connect with our highest self, which is in my opinion all the same for everybody.
- 33:22SPEAKER_01: But it it makes the chatter go away when you're intentionally connecting to that part of yourself so that you can make intentional decisions.
- 33:31SPEAKER_01: So that's how I use it today.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: I don't have all the questions anymore but it's a daily practice and it's um a part of my meditation and it's a part of working on my muscles, my senses like on how to like just shut them off and on because I feel like in those ancient modalities and all these exercises whether it's yoga sauna breath work whatever you name it you know like it's all teaching ourselves and our body on how to like shut up for a second so we can listen to our soul.
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:05SPEAKER_03: So true it is hard.
- 34:09SPEAKER_03: So like what would your advice be to somebody who's like I don't know how to make myself shut up for a second.
- 34:15SPEAKER_01: Well I think the first step is you don't need to like shut up and I'm sorry I said it that way.
- 34:23SPEAKER_01: I love that you said it that way.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: When we're in our bodies like we're lucky that it's talking and it's alive you know it's a part of being a human.
- 34:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: So it's not about quieting the mind or anything but it's about viewing that layer as it's happening and then slowly like just detaching it letting it happen on the back end instead of the front end.
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: And that way it's still happening don't stop that from happening please because then you wouldn't be here but just detach yourself from like the nags and the pulls and like of the senses and just let them run on autopilot for a moment and then just step here and see what'll happen.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: See how that feels does it feel scary or does it feel like you're at home where you haven't been to for a long time I think that's where I would start is just accepting that we are humans.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: The chatter's not going to stop but it's about putting it off to the side as it's happening.
- 35:24SPEAKER_03: A hundred percent I mean that's it is difficult but it's one of the most powerful things you can do to really start to have a different level of awareness around like yourself and also what you're doing and why you're doing it.
- 35:38SPEAKER_03: Because I always talk to people about giving yourself some like levity where you like can kind of separate from what's happening versus like believing you know like believing everything that you're thinking and getting so attached to all of it where you can really just like watch it for a moment and not have that attachment to believing everything that you're thinking which I think is what you're describing.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah saying the same thing in different ways.
- 36:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah yeah so you teach people how to access their own records.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: I do but I don't focus on that to be honest.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: So the way that I like teaching people is to get them to know their inner world they have to know themselves before they're out going outward right so there's a whole initiation within the self in the beginning and that's what I really focus on.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: And after people have spent enough time and had enough like epiphanies about the self and what they like who they are without the ultimate goal of being tapping into the Akashic records then it's like okay now this is how you can start practicing intentionally silencing this aspect of yourself because now you know it recognizing what that sounds like and then tapping into it or whatever.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: It's just like really funny to me the whole like I can't access the Akashic records and I'm like oh my God see this is what this is what it's done like the colonization of it you know what I mean you're always accessing it.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: There aren't any like giant entities keeping you from doing it which some people believe and you're gonna be okay you're there right now just calm your senses love them be grateful for them and then start asking the big questions and seeing what happens yeah I love that because I feel like I have those questions too with people where they're like I don't nothing's happening like we can't and everything's happening.
- 37:41SPEAKER_03: That's the thing I know I know I know and it's it's also just about cultivating that trust within yourself, you know and I think that's kind of you know I'd love for you to expand a little bit more on what you talked about of just like this inner like initiation because I think that's just such a powerful piece of this.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Oh thanks well I mean it's nothing that I came up with and it's something that's been practiced since the beginning of time.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: Um it's just the power of meditation but intentionally like really digging into the different energy centers I think is really important.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: And you know like chakras were first mentioned in the Vedas but they're really big part of like Tantra yoga and that's a whole like different world of just getting to know your inner universe I think that's really important in the beginning and that's the inner initiation because when it's when we're suppressing everything not of everything but when we're suppressing parts of ourself um we can't fully glow in the light that we were meant to glow in.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: So I think that's that's the first step.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: That's the inner initiation part of it.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: And I think a lot of us like yourself including you know like we all have gone through that and that's why we can do this type of work.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: The reason that's not at the forefront of people's teaching sometimes it's because it's really difficult work and it's not like a quick answer like in one week you'll be able to do this.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: And you're like okay like no hey this is a lifetime thing you're gonna have to do like oh that doesn't seem as desirable this one week or this two hour workshop.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: Hmm which one am I gonna choose it's so true.
- 39:22SPEAKER_03: I feel like I have to not trick people but like come up with these like interesting ways of like talking about doing this work, right?
- 39:32SPEAKER_03: Because no one wants to hear that like the work is never done and sometimes it's really gonna fucking suck.
- 39:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:39SPEAKER_03: You know no one wants to hear that.
- 39:42SPEAKER_03: But I also feel like you get to a point too where you kind of have this understanding and realization that it's the only way so then you just like have to do it.
- 39:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 39:52SPEAKER_03: But yeah it's not it's not easy.
- 39:55SPEAKER_03: No.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: Especially like if you know your soul is in the place where it's open to wanting to do that work and you hold it in and it becomes heavier and heavier and kind of like more difficult to like do at a certain point.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: At least it did for me, you know?
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: And so that's why it's just like I just need a quick answer.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: I know I know what you mean about having to like not trick people but like guide them.
- 40:19SPEAKER_03: It's just something you're gonna have to do okay let's just pull off the band-aid just sit down let's breathe a little bit and then just yeah oh I know and then there are people like oh this is too intense like I can't I'm feeling so much I'm so and I'm like that's what's supposed to happen like you need to feel it and then people get so mad at me because I'm like this is really good you're like you're accessing your feelings you're moving through them and they're like oh like I'm in hell how dare you that contemplation's important it's super important but I feel like once you kind of get through the first hump and then you can like kind of realize what's happening it becomes so much easier to navigate and that's what I always tell people is like once you understand what is happening when you're moving through something then it gives you like that levity where you're not so stuck in it and you don't overly identify with it and you can just kind of watch it move through like okay I'm uncomfortable right now I'm triggered right now.
- 41:22SPEAKER_03: But I understand that it's because I'm growing so I'm just gonna allow it to happen.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: I have a pretty good analogy for that and it's early on when I started exploring the Akasha I was brought to like the record I don't even call it I don't even like calling it the Akashic records to be honest.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: But the information I received was like in the shower my hand went to the shower and turned the water all the way to cold and I was like I'm like a boiling hot shower person.
- 41:52SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 41:53SPEAKER_01: I have like thyroid issues I don't know like I have something going on where I have to be in boiling hot water but once this happened like my body completely like retracted all my muscles tensed up and something in my head kept saying like that's not how you do it.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: You don't go into it holding it all in the you're being confronted with this cold water and like contracting and like tightening all your muscles is only keeping that energy in it's like now you're in this situation you're in a cold shower just like your nightmare um so try to be comfortable in this uncomfortableness like okay so I like let my muscles go and released and as I released it the shower started feeling good.
- 42:42SPEAKER_01: So I feel like that's like a good analogy for like the inner work too where it's like we hold on we hold on but once we're like okay release it's gonna be painful and then you release it and you just like let it soak away like it just goes and it turns into something else.
- 42:58SPEAKER_01: And you're like that actually feels really good.
- 43:01SPEAKER_01: I'm glad I let that go.
- 43:03SPEAKER_01: Why was I holding on to it?
- 43:05SPEAKER_03: Oh my God a hundred percent well it's so funny you brought that up because I always teach because I part of what I teach is breath work.
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: And one of the practices I started doing so long ago is where you actually breathe in a tub of cold water.
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: So you like get in the cold water and you submerge yourself and you use a snorkel and you like fully submerge yourself in the cold water and you breathe.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: And it's like one of the most powerful things you can do to like release fear and pain and trauma and all of that because like if you can allow your body to fully like relax in the cold water it like starts to release stuff and like it's it's like very confronting and you kind of are forced to confront like just like you were saying you know whatever's there that needs to be confronted and it's so powerful.
- 43:57SPEAKER_03: So there's something about cold water.
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: So I'm sure you were like just guided to to do that at that time because you needed to release.
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 44:06SPEAKER_01: Because my nervous system was like all whacked up, you know?
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: And I started looking up the benefits of cold water after that too.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh my gosh, all of those symptoms that it helps alleviate like I had yeah at that time.
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: It blew my mind.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: And to be honest with you, I don't know if you go through this or not, but I every day wake up and I'm like, what the hell am I doing with my life?
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: Is this even real?
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: Like what is going on?
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: I have those moments too.
- 44:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: And then I was like, okay, fine.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna give up.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: Let's see what what's waiting.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: And then there's always something that reassures me like that where it's like, I don't know.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: There's like um this inner guidance that's beyond my capacity of understanding.
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:52SPEAKER_01: And I feel like that's what drives people to doing this type of work.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: That's what drives people to going inward to these like spiritual modalities that sometimes end up taking advantage of them.
- 45:07SPEAKER_01: You know, so once you have that goal of like I want to put my soul in the driver's seat and you keep it about that, then you're able to discern and go and meet people like yourself and you know people who are actually there like really showing the steps that they have taken to be in the place that they are in now.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: So it's a weird world we're living in right now.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: Everything's marketing and capitalism and we have to be really careful with this line of work and talk about it.
- 45:35SPEAKER_03: Totally.
- 45:36SPEAKER_03: And I think that's why it's so important like I was talking about this on one of my like group calls the other day about like if you can trust yourself and your own inner knowing more than anything else at all times and always make that how you're making decisions, then things will really start working, you know but I think we get so wrapped up in like everyone else and what they're doing and what they think and like like you're talking about like the way things are being marketed to you and all of that stuff.
- 46:07SPEAKER_03: And if you don't have that inner stability where you're really able to like tune in with yourself and understand what your truth is, then it can be really difficult.
- 46:18SPEAKER_03: And the other thing that you touched on that I really want to like hone in on is this idea that there is something driving us that's beyond our understanding, right?
- 46:29SPEAKER_03: And I always talk about this with people when it comes to trusting your intuition because I'll have people say to me things like this all the time well I trust in my intuition but then that guy ended up being an asshole or whatever it was right.
- 46:42SPEAKER_03: And I'm like yeah but that doesn't mean that you can't trust your intuition right like there's a majesticness to the universe that is beyond our understanding right that's beyond our human capacity to understand.
- 46:57SPEAKER_03: Like there was a reason why that guy was an asshole that probably you'll look back on a year from now and understand exactly why that happened and how it contributed to your growth and why that situation needed to occur.
- 47:09SPEAKER_03: But in the moment you think that like nothing's working or you can't trust yourself or whatever.
- 47:15SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 47:16SPEAKER_03: But we have to always come back to this idea that like we can't know everything from our vantage point and we have to develop that level of trust within ourselves that we just need to trust that you know inner knowing and not need to understand all the moving parts and everything that's occurring like behind the scenes energetically.
- 47:39SPEAKER_01: Absolutely thank you for bringing that up because right after I said I was like yeah I think we need to expand on this because once we do put our soul in the driver's seat doesn't mean everything's gonna be hunky dory happy perfectly because that's not the world we live in.
- 47:57SPEAKER_01: No that's not the human experience.
- 47:59SPEAKER_01: No how boring would it be?
- 48:01SPEAKER_01: Not that pain is like what makes it interesting but a lot of times when we find these moments of uncomfort is where like our like real growth comes from and that's how we get to meet our essence and how our essence would act in this situation.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: Like how are you going to act in that moment?
- 48:20SPEAKER_01: What is your true character in this moment?
- 48:22SPEAKER_01: And I think that's really important to bring up yes everyone's on their own journey and like it's not that anyone knows anything more than the other person but manifesting doing inner work whatever it is the feeling of it isn't just joy and happiness.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 48:41SPEAKER_01: We live in a universe of like many things and we're in it.
- 48:46SPEAKER_01: We're we have taken the pill the drug has hit us we are now humans and we have no control over the things that happen around us.
- 48:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah I love that I think it's just like making that connection with the soul makes it a little more comfortable in a way because it's like okay I know I am connected like I'm protected even if it's really horrible and uncomfortable I'm gonna be okay.
- 49:16SPEAKER_03: I think that's yeah and it's it's almost like the connection to home or the connection to source it tethers you to something where you feel like okay I'm connected to to home base like I'm not just like flailing out here on my own totally I love that visual that's what it's like sometimes it is it's a weird world.
- 49:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah I know this is like very cliche but this moment is all there really is like everything else is just our imagination whether it's past you know or the future so let that soul sit in the driver's seat in the moment now and find some comfort that someone else is helping you drive and navigate yeah exactly and don't think that it's not working if something bad happens bad quote unquote right and that's again a matter of our perception of reality because I think that's one of the biggest things that I see people struggle with anyway.
- 50:17SPEAKER_03: Like especially if like oh well this thing isn't happening or that thing isn't happening and it's kind of like instead of leaning in to what is happening or the discomfort it's more like oh well like this isn't working or I'm not good enough or whatever.
- 50:35SPEAKER_03: And it's I think it's also just all the kind of ways that we've been programmed to believe that we don't have any power or that yeah you know we can't affect our reality and that's something that takes a lot to kind of turn around.
- 50:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah absolutely I think um our power has been taken away it's very systematic and when we find ourselves in these moments of discomfort maybe we can look for ways to fix it you know especially with what's going on like politically in the world and stuff not to bring politics into it but yeah this whole sold in the driver's seat thing doesn't mean like sitting around being like well bad things are gonna happen that's okay it's like no no no if something's happening that's like causing a trigger within you do everything in your power to like change it get up yeah this is where we connect and we work together right and also just like sharing our own like awarenesses about stuff with other people because I feel like that's so helpful too.
- 51:39SPEAKER_03: Yeah absolutely and not just being like oh okay this just because I'm putting my soul in the driver's seat I'm just gonna be like passive and not do anything.
- 51:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah it's actually the opposite right and everyone has different you know ways of affecting change and and stuff like that.
- 51:55SPEAKER_03: But but yeah it's definitely not a passive thing or a reason to be like oh whatever like we still are responsible for changing the world right and no one's coming to save us and we need to to do it on our own.
- 52:10SPEAKER_03: So I think that's so so important.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: So like one of the last questions I want to ask you is what would your advice be for people you know based on your experience and your understanding of everything like on just how to navigate what's go like the world we live in today.
- 52:27SPEAKER_01: I want to start off by saying I don't understand anything.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: Um I think that's what helps me navigate the world today.
- 52:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah that's that's actually a great place to start I don't know anything but I'm along for the ride and I'm pretty connected to the highest being of myself whatever that you want to call it whether it's your soul your higher self the universe Krishna like whatever like I feel absolute love for that part of myself and with that love comes trust in not knowing anything.
- 53:08SPEAKER_03: I love that thank you I worked on it myself in the moment I mean it's really true because I feel like a lot of people too kind of can get stuck going down this rabbit hole of trying to figure out what's going on.
- 53:23SPEAKER_03: And I think it just leads to more questions and and not that we shouldn't on some level try to figure out what's going on right but I also feel like at a certain level it's like okay I just want to come back to myself and what I'm creating and also just my experience of myself which is you know what you're describing and is coming back to this understanding of like we really don't know and that's okay and to still have that trust like we're talking about so that's really powerful thank you.
- 53:55SPEAKER_01: So how like how do you work with people and how can people get in touch with you if they're interested in your work yay thanks um well if you can find me on magicincline.com and there's lots of different ways to work together where we have you know one-on-one mentorships like courses everyone has courses but courses on inner work and how to be a Nakash practitioner so and a teacher so you can help others and if anyone's interested in connecting with really cool people on like their uh spiritual journey we have like a little online community uh where we share our little perspectives of life so yeah you can work with me any way you like but mainly go to magicincline.com we all have to have our commercials and we will link all of that below and is that your Instagram too magic incline yeah okay cool it's magic incline on everything and I've like really gotten into TikTok recently oh I don't know why but I just like love it I feel like it's that collective unconscious that's been silenced now it's like we can hear everybody else instead of just being fed these perfect pictures on Instagram and stuff like it is I love it and I know it's not like the greatest thing in the world but to be able to hear others is like really cool to me.
- 55:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah I know well like I don't I'm not on TikTok when I see people share things from TikTok I always love it.
- 55:29SPEAKER_03: It just like feels overwhelming to me to like get involved at this point.
- 55:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah it's overwhelming it's really fun.
- 55:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah yeah yeah cool well thank you for sharing that and then for our last question that I always ask everybody for you what is a non-negotiable when it comes to fully reclaiming your consciousness I feel the non-negotiable for me is boundaries setting really strong important boundaries because a lack of boundary um steals our time and our energy and that's the one non-negotiable whether I'm working with someone or if it's in my own life like boundaries are really important.
- 56:06SPEAKER_03: Oh my God literally that's like the journey like for me anyway like every level of growth is like all right what fucking boundaries am I setting now?
- 56:16SPEAKER_03: Like it's literally yeah like it's so I'm like a recovering people pleaser too so I was like always like doing everything for everyone else and it's like it's cut like every it's hitting me all in every direction but it literally like every time you grow is just another level of boundaries and it's so important.
- 56:37SPEAKER_03: So I love that.
- 56:38SPEAKER_01: If you don't mind me adding to boundary doesn't mean shutting anything out it's just about connecting with one's true self more and our needs as well.
- 56:47SPEAKER_03: I just want to make it 100% no I I think that's so important because I think it can be misinterpreted as that but that's a wall not a boundary it's not yeah it's not a wall yeah so yeah I love that well thank you so much for being here this was an amazing conversation and I know everyone's gonna love it.
- 57:08SPEAKER_01: So we appreciate you thank you so much Elise the honor is all mine.
