- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome in ladies and gentlemen to a new episode of the triple coverage podcast we're rolling it over to double coverage tonight with just Benjamin Schupe and Lance Nelson here.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_00]: For you on a nice toasty Thursday and the fourth of July weekend so first and foremost.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Happy Fourth of July.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: Happy Independence Day to everyone out there and hope you stay safe and have a great family and to holiday weekend or whatever your plans are.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Hope that you don't blow a finger off.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like it was that lineman from the Giants.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: JPP.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: Good old ladies.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Don't pull a JPP this weekend for folks with you.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, Ben, what's up, shoot?
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Ah, nothing much, you know, is finally the month where we will leave.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_01]: be able to see football again.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: So it's again getting closer.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: If not, we've been talking past two weeks about how it's just, you know, you're getting that edge to kind of get back into it.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_01]: Even when you just watch highlights, everything is like, oh, I just can't wait and it's finally the month where we will see some life football, even though it's not meaningful football at that point.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: We'll still see some football.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, you know, we're about three weeks out right now from the start of training camp for the bills.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: So we will be able to see some content this month of the bills back in action, some of the new guys, some of the returning guys, some new faces as well that it just veterans coming over.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_01]: So excited, ready to go.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, just can't wait for the next month to get going here.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just fly it right by and get us out there.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be exciting.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: And in the group, we're going to talk about the past catchers tonight is really one of the groups that I'm most excited to get my eyes on obviously at camp, right?
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: So like Josh Allen, I'm going to throw the ball about five hundred times you figure in a year and we'll talk about, you know, how much we think he's going to throw and then you have running backs, tight ends, wide receivers.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about the wide receiver and tight end position mostly.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: hey mom go bills and uh will uh kind of give our give our thoughts on what's gonna go down we did just want to touch on quickly I guess as a as a quick thought as we normally do to start our show as uh you know Max Harrison was named in a civil suit and I guess you know this isn't really new news it was something that has already happened and and been out there and and now some legal proceedings has been filed and things naming him and
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: You know, for me, I'm just going to roll on within us until proven guilty as far as echoes.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: And there's no real criminal investigation going on here.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully the biggest thing I take out of that is hopefully, you know, no disciplinary action, you know, if that KC receiver was it.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it doesn't get punished.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that Harrison doesn't miss any time for that sort of thing.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, it's something that, especially with the bills, obviously, they had the matter as a situation happened when they drafted him.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_01]: So you kind of know that, you know, especially with this regime, and hopefully they lived and, you know, they learned about it, and they got better with it when it comes to max here.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_01]: And it sounds like they did their research, they did their homework, they investigated and, you know, was something that happened, probably in twenty twenty one.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: The school, I think, even investigated at the time, and police investigated a little bit, it had found nothing.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what happens.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anything will really come of it.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, even Max is still posting on Instagram and everything on time and usually when something is serious when it's coming out of it, or they feel like, oh, just lay low for a little bit, that would be a situation where they would tell him.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it, to me, I don't think anything will come of it.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, you're hoping it doesn't, but yeah, we'll see what happens.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, as of now, not worried about it and don't think anything will really come of it.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: right on.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I echo those sentiments.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: I think we should never happen, obviously, or anything like that, but moving forward.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: So please like and share this episode with your friends.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Give us a like over on YouTube, get in the comments on YouTube or Facebook.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you're over there on X, join us over on one of the other platforms of YouTube and Facebook so we can interact with you.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: We have a
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: a pretty loose show or pretty loose offseason template here so we can throw in more comments and kind of get into some things whereas in the season we kind of have more regimented topics that we maybe spend less time on some of the interaction and comments during the season when we're covering recaps and previews and that's where thing but
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'd love to have the comment on our show here.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: And again, please subscribe to that built in Buffalo YouTube channel and click the notification bell to make sure you get notified when we go live.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you to Buffalo B.A.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: Sports and Morales to be below me and Monster Energy, the official energy partner of built in Buffalo, first sponsoring this brand in this show.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: Well, John, so I know it's a sensitive subject.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we should have planned on this and didn't, but he does bring up a quick thought point here that we could get into.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: Ben and I are season ticket holders, so we don't really have to enter the lottery for the general public.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: I was able to get tickets through my season ticket member privilege and
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: was able to get some for a friend of mine as well so I was we're a lot at six tickets per season ticket holder I believe so so I didn't have to enter the lottery the people I know that did enter the lottery did not get selected and so uh... tough that training camps tough man the coolest thing that
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: that we talked about last or two weeks ago now we were off last week is this team is so damn popular like these guys are so popular with this community that training camps are being sold at practices like you can't even go bring your kid to watch a practice
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: It speaks to the popularity of Josh Allen, speaks to popularity for the Buffalo Bills, I think, and it's really cool to see kind of cool to be a part of this.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think about that whole training camp then?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: I know we talked a lot about it a couple of weeks ago, but did you know people that entered the lottery?
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody got in or?
- 6:40[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I said you know, my girlfriend, me and my mom did end to a lot, or even though me and my mom are taking orders.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: We thought, you know, why not?
- 6:48[SPEAKER_01]: We still try.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: I see if we can get some extra tickets there.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: None of us got them.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: So that will again put out there.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: I actually don't know a single person that said they did get win the lottery.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's the funny part is that everybody can kind of take care.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_01]: So everybody's saying they didn't get it, but I didn't see anybody saying, oh, I did win it.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, yeah, it's thinks that they have to do a lottery just because it is that popular, but it's awesome that it is that popular that so many people want to go and it's been an I know it's been an issue for for a few years about
- 7:17[SPEAKER_01]: people go on being able to go certain amounts of tickets you can get everything like that so yeah I mean it stinks for a lot of people that unfortunately won't be able to go and it stinks they have to do it that way but yeah it is awesome just being able to go and being able to
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: see these guys that up close and personal and kind of get, get a feel of what a practice is like.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I know that, you know, we've heard some, some older NFL players saying while training camps aren't the same as it was ten years ago when they were doing two a days and they're not as intense.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: So it's more of like a mental thing for players, but more than physical because it's more of just, you know, you're getting the playbook down, you're around all your teammates, you're trying to get everything down.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: So it is nice to be able to go see, see these guys come in and see what they, how they,
- 8:04[SPEAKER_01]: work and how they react to different situations when guys get beaten and just even, you know, messing around, having fun with each other too.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_01]: So it's awesome.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we talked about it yet two weeks, two weeks, a little bit, but it's just one of those things that
- 8:17[SPEAKER_01]: training camp is if you ever do get the pleasure to go really just to live it up and stay as far as as long as you can and take everything in get there as early as you can to because it's it is an awesome thing to do and it also plays to to go so yeah more sure that they they have to do the lottery but you know when you have this this many people that want to go it's something that they have to do
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it legit gets crazy cramped there.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's when they haven't capped it in previous years as much or had as much control on it.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like it's been really nuts at St.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: John Fisher bench the the whole stands fill up and and there's just really nowhere to go for some people that maybe don't aren't familiar with it or just there kind of
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: trying to figure it out and it can get overwhelming pretty quick for people the heat usually is there so you just got to be safe about a bring water know how to seek shelter and get enough shade for yourself when you go so yeah you know I hope that John that you were able to get some tickets for yourself there as well and
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll be there.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to recruit Ben to come with me, but we'll see about it July twenty fourth.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be there on site and then we'll have a show the night July twenty fourth there right after that talk about how camp is going.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm very excited for that show in three weeks when we can get out there get our eyes on players.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: And really, the cool thing is to see, you know, I will mention this till the day I die, probably, it's something I just have such and drained in my memory now, where Mac Hollins, you know, a new player on the bills last year comes in the training camp, really pressing Christian Benford and Benford ends up after an out route where Hollins smoked him.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: He turns around and throws the ball at at Hollins and stuff.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: So that's sort of the mental game, too, that you get, you have that competitiveness.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and the veterans are able to really, you know, bring some of these young guys along with some mental toughness things and stuff like that.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's really fun to see for me.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: I really like seeing how people interact and just how things are driving with the group too.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, offense defenses a little bit separated during these group activities, but it is fun to see how some of the receivers and dBs react with one another and all that sort of thing.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a really cool time and good time to see, get a first look at the team, obviously.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Moving on now, I mentioned before, there's going to be, I'll ask you this, Ben, do you think
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be over or under five hundred targets for bills.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Pass catchers this season because last year was a four ninety five.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: They really stuck to a sort of run balanced offense.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_00]: And I would sort of expect more of the same, but I want to see where you're at on that five hundred kind of, you know, I guess past attempts.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if every past attempt got a target, but sort of, what do you think about that number and what the bills will do in twenty twenty five?
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think five hundred is the, I mean, when you actually look at the past,
- 11:27[SPEAKER_01]: even six years for Josh Allen at least he's been forty three five seventy nine five sixty seven six forty six five seventy two and four sixty one five hundred I think would be the expectations for this offense even though they are kind of leaning towards that more run run run heavy your offense I didn't want to run heavy run balanced run balance yes run balanced often I don't think that they'll reach the numbers they were done at three four year stretch where they're hitting
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: five seventy nine five sixty seven six forty six five seventy two I think you know at most they might hit that five fifty thirty five twenty five mark five fifty mark at the most so I think five hundreds of pretty fair numbers because again yeah unless teams really start kind of zoning in on the run against the bills which I think would be a mistake because then you're just opening everything else up for Josh Allen with his arm
- 12:17[SPEAKER_01]: Um, then they're going to have some some issues there.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think, yeah, five hundred is probably the mark that they'll hit maybe a little bit over it.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but if they go under, I wouldn't imagine it being well under, I think it would be, you know, like said that like last year, it's for ninety five, you know, with Josh for four, eighty, it at the lowest.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, um, yeah, I think five hundred is that that good benchmark kind of kind of number for them and pretty much what they'll hit because again, at the end of the day, it's the NFL and
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: When you're in close games, which I don't think the bills will have as many blowouts this year as they did last year, just because I think the schedules will top here.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think, yeah, they'll go have to throw the ball so a little bit more, and especially maybe early in the season with some of the tougher masterups, so the Ravens and the New York Kansas City still fairly go down the line.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: They have some top teams.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I would say five hundred pretty good, pretty good number.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: Right on.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm torn.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_00]: They play a lot of home games earlier in the year where this weather may not limit them so much.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: They have the late game against Philadelphia, obviously, and a couple other late games, but I think there's like December seven and then like
- 13:37[SPEAKER_00]: late December and then it'll be like the last game of the year.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: So he got versus a and December seventh, which is like if he and Buffalo, but probably not gonna be like super snowier or terribly cold, then you have the December twenty eighth and week a team game that are probably gonna be pretty cold and we'll see what they do in those games against the Eagles and the Jats.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_00]: But that that that being said, I think they have the opportunity this year.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: to have a more increased now, whether in Buffalo's crazy, it could snow in October.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: We know that, but I just, I really think that
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: I really think that they're going to go over the five hundred mark, but I don't think it's going to be substantially over.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_00]: I was somewhere between five hundred and five fifty.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they're getting near six hundred, but I do think they'll go over the five hundred mark this year.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: Just with the way the schedule plays out the way I think that the weather in the stadiums that they're going to play and will allow them, at least to try to do some more things.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I really expect some different passing concepts that allow them to have the passing game be.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe a little bit more of an extension of the run game, too, so that they're not so predictable.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: Because how often did the hand the ball off on first and second down last year?
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: We talk about it all the time, right?
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: And I just feel like we're not the only ones that hate that as much as we do.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's other folks out there.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_00]: There's other analytics and things saying, like, how successful was that?
- 15:10[SPEAKER_00]: Now people are going to be keen on you in this year to do those things.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: Are you going to change it up more?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that just change up from how much they did that last year on first and second down.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to give us a few more passing attempts from the bills.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and especially if they do this year, look at those, like you said, the analytics and the numbers and the stats that back up, even early down passing, it's beneficial to do so.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_01]: And I think last year we talked about it a lot.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_01]: I got heated a lot during the last year about the first down runs and yes, some of them work, but a lot of them sometimes when they don't work, they can really set a drive back sometimes.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: Especially if you're wrong, you're going to get one, two, first down, then you just had to run it on first down and boom.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: drive control out there.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: So I think if they if they do want to be a more efficient offense, I do think they need to pass the ball more especially on those early mountains and I think when you have a guy like Josh Allen need to now that you have receivers that I think maybe fit the mold of what Joe Brady wants to do.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think that you can more so you know
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: Start to implement more passing plays and more concepts and get these guys on the same page, especially when you bring a guy like Josh Palmer and who can do a lot of things.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Larger more would do a lot of things and you know Samuel who now hopefully is going to be healthy going into this year, Coleman going into the second year.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: So you have guys now that
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully it can take steps and I'm more excited about this receiving Corp than last year's and I think it has to do with the fact that you can really line these guys up a lot of different areas even Coleman who's a guy that a lot of people just look at as oh
- 16:48[SPEAKER_01]: Outside he'll be our outside threat and that's it and it's like no well come out of college people thought he could be a power slot and I think you'll see him a little bit lined up obviously I don't think you'll see him lined up in the slot more than secure even Palmer Samuel more but I think you will see him move around a little bit more than last year so I'm excited to kind of see how they handle the passing game and I do think they'll they'll open a little bit because I think
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: Even last year, there were some games where it felt like they, they put, they didn't pass the ball at all.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, even the targets too, we talked about the targets and completions and sometimes they just kind of straight away from it because passing game wasn't working, especially early on in the year.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they will get, we're not talking about Tarja, the store we're talking about passing targets to receivers.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: And, and look, the title of the show is positionless pass catchers, right?
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: So that goes to your point.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: They talked a lot about it in some of these press conferences
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: throughout the offseason of like, hey, we're going to be multiple.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be dynamic.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to keep you on your toes.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to put a position to this player.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's a football player or he's a past catcher.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what the title, you know, had paid homage to is this that that philosophy here in Buffalo with Joe Brady in company is that these guys can line up in whatever position you want to call it.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: But they're just going to run their concepts out of those formations without whomever's up to play.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to go in and play those roles and they'll mix and match where these guys go.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that doesn't say, Schick here's not going to see a big time slot roll.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_00]: He certainly is.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's most effective there.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: But he has the ability to play outside.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_00]: He has a
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to touch on Hannah a little bit in a little bit here, but Ben, why don't you run through exactly what we're going to go through here with the wide receiver room for now and then we'll get into our kind of our scheduled content here unless you want to take Mary Ann first before we jump into that.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, before we jump in, I'll just take this question from Mary Ann here, which is a good one because I think a lot of people especially a lot of bills fans this year have kind of been wondering
- 18:55[SPEAKER_01]: why they let Mac go.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: He was a good locker room guy.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think he exceeded what his expectations were for Bill's fans, at least his past season.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: Goes to New England.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, my simple answer is I think one, I saw John alluded a little bit as they wanted to get younger.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_01]: And Mac is getting a little bit older.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they did also just want guys that can do a little bit of everything.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: Mac is good as Mac was and it's great of the role he played.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_01]: He really had his role and that was it.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't really do a bunch with him and I think when you bring the guys in, they were going to mention a little bit.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_01]: Like we said, they can do a little bit of everything.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I just think, you know, and I think maybe money was a part of it.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_01]: I thought John mentioned that as well, they did get a, he did get a pretty good deal there and, you know, maybe it was the fact that they didn't want to sign them to a two year deal.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: They wanted all, we're going to do a one year deal if you're going to come back here.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_01]: But I think, you know, it's just a different direction is not always the worst thing.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sometimes it can make you sad and sometimes there's players that you really want.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: I would have loved back back.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I was somebody that I think said, yeah, if you can bring them back, definitely bring them back.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: Great locker room guy.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: played his role well.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: But at the end of the day, there are better players.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I think a guy like Josh Palmer was supposed to get to as well is a guy that I think is an upgrade.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: And when you can get an upgrade, you got to go and get it there.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I think it's just unfortunate how it happened to work out.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Matt got his what he wanted when it came to money and then going to a situation where maybe he does have a bigger role than he would have what if that here.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the way at least I look at what he thinks.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I look at it as they didn't let him go.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: I look at it as he chose the other offer, the other situation, the other place to play.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: He got an offer that he thought both in opportunity and competition was better than the bills could offer him.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_00]: And he wanted to go chase that.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's pretty simple for me as that.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think the bills necessarily wanted to lose him, but they also weren't going to go and kill their salary cap plans and things like that to retain him.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they made what they thought was a fair offer.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_00]: They probably communicated him what that offer went along with as far as a role on this team.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_00]: And he saw how kind of how that played out yet last year.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: Thought he had a pretty good role.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_00]: I thought he did some good things.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_00]: What are you sort of eight touchdowns to me?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: I have right here.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: Mack had five.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_00]: Five, five touchdowns.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I just like what's that.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's a bunch of people in the playoffs.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_00]: I believe that maybe all told that's one thing, but yeah, one of them.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: So six overall between regular season postseason last year.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_00]: But big time catches in some situations.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, felt like he was good.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you know, for, for a guy's like Scott Cass and, you know, our co-host who's not able to, to be on tonight and myself, we were, were you there when he showed up at the tailgate or no?
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: He showed up at the big tree in and, and then we were at, we were doing the tailgate there.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, you did show up that day, but you know, took a picture of him.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_00]: You'll see the picture of Mac on circulating with the snow sculpture of, you know, him and the friend Flynn Stone Garb.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_00]: I took that picture.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: That's really cool to me.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, of course, I love that Mac on would be on this team.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: It was really cool experience for me, but also
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: you know I understand the business side of it too and and school of the guys he was barefoot in the slush and snow when he showed up there and all that a lure at the end of the day he's human too he's got a family to take care of and and all that to think about and I think you know his opportunity with the Patriots was just a little bit more do you go the Patriots right
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, with the Patriots was more and what the bills could offer and or we're willing.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think they let him go.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he chose his opportunity.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: And that's that's his progeny.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: So that's good for him that he's going to get on somewhere else and hopefully wish him all the best except for when he plays Buffalo.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, and he will be here this year.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: We will get to see him again if you go to the game.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: We had something on in prime time too.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: No one, no one hand will probably find a way in the end zone in Buffalo and, you know, I think he'll have some fun with that for sure.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just, you know, on him and being the good locker room guy is, but yeah, but on to the bills or she was, they do have this year.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of put him in a four groups here, and I know Lance, you see it here, but I kind of put him in a four groups.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: The first group is the lock, the roster locks that are returning.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_01]: And that's for me, Collier Shakira and Keon Coleman, right?
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: Those two, I think without a doubt, obviously, you're for your former rookie from last year and then close here, who just got an extension.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's the raster locks that are new.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, that's only one guy from here right now that's Josh Palmer.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's two that are likely to make the team, but that guaranteed.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: And to me, that's Curtis Samuel and Elijah Moore.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_01]: Curtis Samuel, obviously, he had the injury last year, a lot of higher expectations than who he lived up to.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: And Elijah Moore comes out over now with a one-year deal first opportunity to kind of get with a real quarterback here.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think they're both likely, but not again, not guarantee of all.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's the bubble guys, which there's five of them here that I think, I think there's something to have better chances, but that's shivers, should all, virtual, prather, the rookie, and then a hit KJ hammer as well.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys are kind of on the bubble, looking at it depends on how many of you guys they keep, do they keep six?
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: If they do keep six to me, we'll see if those are any of those guys that are looking to make that roster here.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_01]: So first, I talked about the likely but not guaranteed there of those two of Samuel and more, which kind of brings you to the first question we have here.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: Will it be a surprise cut?
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, those are kind of the two we're alluding to, but out of the perceiving, who do you think could be cut?
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: And are you do think any of them will actually happen?
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: When they first signed Elijah Moore, I kind of thought that he was like, oh, try out bases and things, but as time's gone on, I kind of feel like maybe
- 24:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's actually more of a lock than I originally thought and that sort of Samuel might be that guy that could be the surprise cut.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: I know I think his the better out for him is next year.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think that because of the money he does make the team, but if there was a surprise cut or there was any sort of look, we don't know what sort of injuries are going to pop up between now and cut day.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: So that's going to play a factor.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: If I had to guess if it's between, you know, Samuel and more, and you're making me flip a corner, choose one of the two, I almost think I'd more bet on Curtis Samuel being a surprise cut over Elijah Moore.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think, but again, the injury aspect of things, the health, that's really going to play a part in, you know, who makes this team, I think, ultimately.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: And those, as they say, these things shake out, they're shake them things themselves out as time goes on.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I think injuries are
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: really the reason for that.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_00]: But overall, I'd like Samuel and more both being on this team, but if one of them were to get caught, I would almost think that Samuel would be the one just because they've seen a lot of what he could do last year, and if he's not able to really stay healthy again, or what not, you know, I would think it'd be a health situation that is the why one of them would get caught.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I actually tend to agree with you on this one, just because again with Samuel, if he does get hurt and they have to make it up to season.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: You eat the money this year and then you don't have to worry about it going in the next year and at that point, you know, you're free of the money and yeah, it would stink, but again, I don't think.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think either of these guys get cut.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: I do think like that I haven't been the likely but not guaranteed to guess again something happens with either of them.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_01]: I do think both of them are going to make this team just because I think more will come in and impress.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then Samuel I think I think they like what he did started to look like at the end of the year and I think again they had high expectations for him.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think they wanted to use him a lot more last year.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's just he started off the earth the injury and just never really found his way towards kind of the end of the year where he started to kind of find a little bit.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, last year, he ended up with, or it's he ended up with, forty six targets, thirty one reception.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, the same amount of receptions as Matt Collins, which does not seem like it.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: When you were watching the games, it did not seem like it had about a hundred less yards.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: So that's part of it that doesn't help as well.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't mind the end zone.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_01]: except for the one game where we found his only one touchdown.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think they keep him, but yeah, again, it wasn't as exciting as people thought it would be with him last year and I think a lot of that had to do with injuries.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_01]: So if they do have to decide between Samuel or more, I do think they will go with Samuel because again, you get a guy with like more that can come in and he's produced with very poor quarterback play.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: And a former first Trump heck, a guy who come out of college was very high on a lot of people's boards.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people were very high on him.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think he still got some left there.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: And if you can get what you cannot of him for a year, I think the bills are going to go ahead and do that.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think both of them do make it.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: But if you had to choose, I think Samuel is the more likely cuts I grew through there.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I do see some comments here, Tiffany brought up shivers.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: Shavers there is a guy who last year had one reception, one target, six to nine yards, one touchdown.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: So any relation Tiffany, you got Shavers in your name.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_01]: I do think he's a fan favorite.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't John, you love him as well.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, John, you said you're not like Shavers better as the six receiver.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people love Shavers.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: I like him too, because he also can do a little bit on special teams as well.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: So he brings something that I think
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: Some receivers don't, I don't think Samuel or more pop-all-mer, or they're not going to play special themes.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: So if you can keep a guy as your sixth receiver that can also play special themes, it's going to be tough because him, Chanel, or the two that I was going to bring up here is I know there's the other guys in the bubble with her drill, Prath or Hamler.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think for us at least for me Hamler, I should see getting caught for a joy, see getting caught, Prath or I think we'll just end up being a practice squad guy this year.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see him unless he really performs.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that that he'll end up making this squad.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: So I think if they keep six, which I do think they'll do, I don't want to get that little letter, I do think they will keep six.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_01]: I think we'll be between shivers and shinalt.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: So what do both of them have to do to make this roster, this final fifty three?
- 29:26[SPEAKER_01]: Because you know that they like shivers last year, especially with the fact that they weren't willing to let him go and put him on waivers or anything.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: They kept him the entire year.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: They did bring him up.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: He had a big play in that game against the dreads.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think between both of them should all in the shivers?
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think they both have to do to make this roster?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_00]: Soon old, it's got to be a big special team's presence.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we've earned the return roll to make this team.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: Shavers has to just be him.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Shavers showed a little bit last year.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: We saw it.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: We keep seeing one of those guys that are bringing along with this youth movement they're having.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see tell where I'll share.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: Shavers make this team straight out.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I hope that it's not because this guy's injured or whatever and he's got to go and then he's going to make it and go to the practice squad there in the year.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: you know, whatever role they do find for him, but I think that he can be a contributor here in Buffalo, Chanel, just so I like the player, I like the idea of the player throughout his career and maybe just hasn't really amassed the production level that one would kind of think when you talk about Chanel.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_00]: The idea of him is exciting, but again, I don't know, I do
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: Again, this is going to be the exciting thing about going to training camp and watching this position group.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see how he's looking what sort of things they're doing with him.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: What routes are they having him run and things like that?
- 30:54[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think outside of special teams, I'm not sure he has a chance to really do much here in Buffalo, honestly.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, would be happy to be wrong if he did find a role and was able to maybe do both, maybe help in the return games as well as contribute on offense.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: I really want the returner this year to not be caudrington.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: So if someone else can actually play receiver or play a position on the field and not just be a returner, that interests me, but I just don't know if Chanel is gonna be that guy or not, and I would say, shivers has a nice path, has that
- 31:31[SPEAKER_00]: consistency continuity with this staff and the players here and all that that might give him the edge.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the thing with Chanel, that's tough for him is, and I see John even come at tears.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: You already have, well, you already have Connor Chen, who you mentioned, who was very good as a returner last year.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_00]: He's not bad as a returner.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, doesn't, what else can he do?
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: So if there really is a problem, you can return, but what else are you going to do?
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: If there really is dead set on keeping somebody for the returnability, it's going to be tough to, to beat out, conjuring to him if you're a Chanel, that that's all they're looking for is just one guy to be a returner.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be tough, like Chanel.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he had a good year returning in the past and it's he's had the history, but.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, caudron can again was a guy that they look at and they say this guy can be an elite returner in this league.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then you do have Elijah Moore as well, who has passed of being able to return punts and being able to return.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: So for shenalt, it's like, where does he fit in here?
- 32:31[SPEAKER_01]: And again, if they decide to keep both and they decide to go, hey, we're going to go with both and get where the Samuel is contract now.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: That's something that I could also see happening.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, you already know, I mean, you saw out of training camp last year in the preseason last year, they were waving about shapers that not just his ability on special teams, but his ability to be able to receive the ball.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: You saw it.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_01]: They put the ball in his hand one time.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: His auntie's watching.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_00]: So make sure you're nice.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you put the ball on the camera one time last year and he took it the distance.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, I think it's tough to look at that and say, well, no, we can't, we're not going to give them more of a look here.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're not going to go elsewhere for just a returner.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like that to me, and you know that they covered their, the guys that can also play special teams, not just as a returner that can go down and they'll make, make plays in the return team as well.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, if they're going to keep six,
- 33:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm leaning.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: Shave was just, again, in Chanel, he's been in a league for a while, and as a receiver, he hasn't been able to show much.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_01]: And it's like, how much more can you unlock here?
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: And they raved about him last year with Shave's ability to be able to improve and just learn.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: And now going into another year, where he's been with the team the whole year, he has chemistry with Josh Allen from practices.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I just don't see really a route for Chanel.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I know Scott is a big Chanel fan.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: just being a return guy and he sees his high expectations there.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, who knows, maybe they do end up looking at both and saying, hey, we're going to go keep both and we're going to get rid of more and or Samuel instead or more instead.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: That could be a route, but I do think they keep six.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I just, it'll be tough to see for them to say, hey, yeah, we're going to keep Chanel just because he can return when they traded for cotton tin last year, who was good last year to return her.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: And you have other guys that can go back there and turn if you need it to.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't see you making as way to this roster.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be a battle.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_01]: And that's again, we've been a leading training camp.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: This training camp is going to be fun watching this variety of battle towards that.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_01]: Like in that five, six spot because again, who knows if somebody makes a jump, maybe one of them come out and make a jump to say, hey, no, I'm going to be the fourth option.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to jump both Samuel and more and be that fourth option, right?
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be fun to watch a training camp.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: I would say to see these two go addicts, you know that these two are going to be the guys that are going to be fighting for their spot here.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: And especially, I think these two could be two guys that especially when it gets to the show that they're doing that I can't hear hard knocks.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think they could kind of zone in on both of these guys and shave is already kind of a fan favorite to a lot of guys because of what he's done in that with the one time he got the ball.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: And I think when you go on hard knocks, they could kind of even
- 35:26[SPEAKER_01]: hammer that would be like, oh, this guy, you know, he's already guy that people love in Buffalo.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: And he had exceeded expectations last year.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: Can he do it again?
- 35:33[SPEAKER_00]: And through a hundred per cent touchdown rate, one target, one reception, sixty nine yards for a touchdown.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's incredible stuff.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, his analytics on that is just amazing.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we'll see.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we'll see.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be a battle between those two guys and yeah, as Tiffany said, yeah, it's
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: going to be bad or who doesn't love a battle, right?
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: Who doesn't love it?
- 35:54[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see what goes on there.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: Another room for Tyrell, like we said too.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I mean, you know, if you're out at training camp, check me, I'll be wearing this on July, twenty-fourth.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: My uncle's in the chat.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_00]: He loves this says, I'm style.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, Ben, you got to get, I mean, I think we should wear matching Zubo shirts.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think also get one from
- 36:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_00]: You can also go to our partner Buffalo Go.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_00]: They have a nice golf shirt that suits us as well.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: My wife bought me this shirt, I think, from the BFLO store.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_00]: So it's perfect for hot weather, honestly.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_00]: Nice and cool.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I have to try to get you into one.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll see.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: But onto the next topic here, which is another fun one here for those series.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_01]: Is it guy that I think last year, fans do have mixed emotions about them?
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, the bill's traded out and went and got him last year in the first pick of the second round, but Kian Coleman's going into the second year showed flashes of being that guy that can go get the ball.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_01]: He's still got a flat asism, I guess, you know, he ran and being was very critical of him at the end of the last season and they said, you know, he took that to heart and really is coming in now and with the vengeance here.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you kind of expecting on a Kian Coleman in year two?
- 37:06[SPEAKER_00]: yeah had some injuries last year right and hopefully it certainly looks like he's got his body right from what you see so far thirteen games last year so hopefully gets upwards of seventeen games in this regular season and I think
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: You're in that mid-forties receptions, right?
- 37:28[SPEAKER_00]: You had fifty-seven targets last year, twenty-nine catches.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in that, you know, get them between sixty and seventy targets at least and you want to see forty-y to forty-five catches.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he said he thought he could go for a thousand last year.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I know these guys
- 37:48[SPEAKER_00]: are Uber confident in their abilities and that's great, you know, if he hits eight hundred, that would be sick.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's at five fifty six.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I don't know, like it does he, I don't think he needs to blow the doors off of everything and like turn into some like ED catch one thousand, you're twelve hundred yard receiver or anything.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if this offense is built to have
- 38:11[SPEAKER_00]: a guy like that unless his name is clear she's here but uh... i don't know forty to fifty catches uh... for around eight hundred yards and and see if he can get towards eight touchdowns that'd be nice it's it for me it's like you had that that on your fifty percent catch rate when it came to the targets and
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: But even when he caught the ball, he made place.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: He averaged nineteen point two yards per reception.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_00]: See, one of their buildings is pretty dangerous.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_00]: He can kind of use that slant route.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_00]: And really, he'd had that one long touchdown on the slant, I believe.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, that if he can be consistent with that, that's pretty dangerous.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's also, you know, he won out of almost every seven catches he was in the end.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like that, that is something that you should be able to utilize going into your two now and say, hey,
- 38:59[SPEAKER_01]: When you're averaging nineteen point two yards per reception, he should be that deep threat that that guy that you can just throw it up to.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: Now he's not going to burn you with speed, but he's going to be a guy that will out muscle.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: He'll box you out and go open and get it.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: And you saw even, you know, that the one touchdown for getting who was against, but Josh was running around and even pointed back and Coleman running back and forth.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: And he just went up and got it over two guys.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: So it's it's he's it has the ability.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's just about putting it all together.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_01]: And John came in here and then he's saying, oh, yeah, and more ten more pounds of muscle.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: If you can get your route running better, which you know that, you know, it's not going to get worse, like it's going into year two.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's been working on it here.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm excited for Coleman just in that aspect of no other bill besides Ty Johnson was over fifteen yards per reception last year.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: And he's almost five yards more than everybody else.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a guy that that's why you drafted him to be able to be a guy that can make big plays and
- 39:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think he can be this year, and I think he can reach double the trust downs.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_01]: Now for me, if you get seven on drugs, eight hundred yards, it's great.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: But if he still puts up six hundred yards, but he reaches double the touch downs.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: To me, that's phenomenal.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_01]: if you can take mac horns is touchdowns and give it to him.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think that Coleman can be in that spot this year where you see those those posts and you see those slans were Josh just hit them over the middle and he's my muscle and guys.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he can be that guy.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: So I have pretty a lofty expectations for Coleman this year, or at least when it comes to in the red zone.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll look his way and you've already seen it this year.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they did it in skin Seattle.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: They went back to back plays where they just drew it up to him and
- 40:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you know, Josh is going to be looking to do that more this year.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe not a ton more, but at least a little bit more going into a second year.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: So Kian Coleman, I'm excited to see him this year.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he'll necessarily light the leak on fire and put up a thousand yards and get eighty catches like you said.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, if you can put up a six to eight hundred yards season, but he can get eight to ten touchdowns.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_01]: That's a successful year, too.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the jump that I think Bill's fans would be looking for.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 41:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Camel Coleman, I think has some pretty high expectations going into year two.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that's kind of how it always is with Brokees coming into their second year.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: They have higher expectations.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, we'll see if he can live up to him.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: Another guy with pretty lofty expectations this year just got paid to Lille Shakir last year, only at eight hundred twenty one yards, which did lead the bills by
- 41:25[SPEAKER_01]: Almost three hundred yards.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: He had seventy six receptions on the hundred targets four touchdowns.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: Can he live up to the hype that a lot of Bill's fans even just a lot of NFL fans in general have around him.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people know that he's underrated.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people know he kind of flies under the radar.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think he can reach that that one K mark and do you think he can solidify himself around the league as a wide receiver one for close care for for Josh Allen.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just local fans, either.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just sort of fans in general, Ben's soul act just ranked him the best draft pick at one hundred and forty eight in the history of the NFL draft.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: The best draft pick in his draft position ever.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_00]: And he's three years in the league.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's incredible me.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: I was very surprised him and Christian Benford both in that same draft.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_00]: Late round picks there were ranked as the best picks in the history of the NFL at those slots.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: That is pretty good praise for the guy.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: I think that little sure here has earned that praise as well and also
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: I do think he's going to go over a thousand.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's have that, you know, getting towards that one hundred catch one thousand plus yards.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how the touchdowns work out.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's necessarily going to get ten touchdowns.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that number one wider receiver when I think of it, you know, it's like a hundred catches, thousand yards, ten touchdowns sort of sort of line would love to see it.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: Touchdowns are tough.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: The way this team plays in the red zone and things will see how their style kind of
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: allows him to score, but I do think the approaching of a hundred receptions this year will be there because of his catch rate being so high.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then also breaking a thousand yards, I think he's going upwards of twelve hundred, maybe thirteen hundred this year.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think one thousand should be the mark for him that you're looking to get, especially for the bills.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you're just even Joe Brady, you should be looking to get this guy
- 43:41[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you know, you don't hundred targets last year.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: I don't necessarily think whole skyrocket above that.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it'll be at one fifty one forty.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_01]: If you can get them one ten one twenty targets, he'll get at least close to a hundred and you doesn't need a hundred, you're reception that I think to get that a thousand yards.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think, you know, you just paid them that money.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_01]: You just kind of solidified said, hey, no, you're going to be a part of the steam.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be Josh Allen's go to a guy.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, like you said, the touchdowns may not come.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: But that's again, they like to run the ball once they get in the red zone, you know, they have a guy that they have literally a unicorn at a quarterback that can hurdle people into the end zone.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: So, you don't have to throw the ball when you get down that close.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, the touchdowns may stay around that four or five, six mark.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_01]: But if you have, you can get a thousand yards and ninety even ninety receptions.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think you solidify yourself as a go to guy in this league.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: And we looked at that contract as a steal.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: And even if he puts up what he did last year, that still makes it look phenomenal.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: But I threw think he reaches a thousand yards.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_01]: Now does he get towards that that thirteen hundred yard twelve on your mark?
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: He could.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_01]: I could easily see it.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_01]: But we'll see if he can get that amount of targets in that amount of work to be able to grow to get to that point.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think easily he'll get that get to that a thousand yards.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean,
- 45:05[SPEAKER_01]: We went over some of the, some of the marks here with the receivers.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: We didn't really go too much over Palmer or, or more, or Samuel, which we talked a little bit a lot of kind of in the past about those, those three guys because Samuel will go, what his expectations are going to this year, more in Palmer as well.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I think as we get in the camp and everything and how we, how they're going to use them, we'll get more into them.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's going to do it for the receiver part, but we do have still elite tight ends to talk about.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_01]: So go ahead, Lance.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so returning tight ends, Donald King K Dawson knocks right Zach Davidson is back and then you have a tea tight end three battle here because Jackson Haas, a big old tight end.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_00]: drafted in the later rounds by the bills will challenge the philosophy of this offense.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_00]: What do they really want to do?
- 45:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if one of those two accepts a practice squat goal, they can mix and match it.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: and elevate when they need to.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_00]: They may be able to try to play a Russian roulette with that to see if someone gets taken off the practice squad or not.
- 46:13[SPEAKER_00]: But those are the three.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the four guys in the mix and really three are expected to be kept here.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_00]: Let's talk a little bit about the Titan III battle first, and then we'll get into Dalton, King, because we absolutely have to talk about him when we're talking about Titans.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think the philosophy, earth,
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think who they keep here is going to depend on the philosophy moving forward for the season as far as we talked about, I call it a run balance approach in this offense, that lens itself to Jackson Haas being kept here in that T.E.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: three battle if you can do enough in the passing game to at least not be ignored because Zack Davidson has a prowess in the passing game, but maybe leaves a bit to be desired helping out in the run.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think that their choice with this Titan three pick is going to be more dependent upon that run balanced philosophy or do you think it's just going to be?
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the better the better player.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess I don't know how that the two are different, but I want to get your opinion on that whole like how the T three battle kind of tells you something about what the bills want to do this year on offense.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean,
- 47:38[SPEAKER_01]: This, I will say this, I think it's going to be tough for a guy like Zack Davidson to beat out Jackson Hawks for this third round, or for this third tight entry position.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_01]: One, obviously, the Spence Graphic on Jackson Hawks, and they even kind of raved about them so far, and limited, you know, time they've seen them of, hey, yeah, a key out of the draft was supposed to be this guy that's, you know, big blocker will run you over, which when you start about the wrong game will be very useful.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_01]: but then they start talking about them how oh well even though it's still early he's already impressing with how he moves and catches the ball and comes in and out of brakes which you know you won't see a lot of it from the tight end three from the bills anyways I think you see maybe eight to ten targets from the tight end three a year maybe at the most so I do think the philosophy will be get the better blocker it just because when they do like to get those big boys out there they will bring a guy out there that will be able to block and I think it will be tough for Zack Davidson who
- 48:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I think a lot of Bill's fans like Zack Davidson and last year I know a lot of people were kind of saying hey, he's going to he should make it over Quentin Morris and and that I'm not making it over Quentin Morris, but it's just going to be tough for him to beat him out because Jackson Hawes is going to come in and be that guy.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be one hard to beat him as a block because that's that's his thing.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's the reason you drafted him is because he's a guy that will come and he will run you over.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: He will
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: put his head down and he will make you not want to play the game football as a deep defender, right?
- 49:09[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think, yeah, it might allude to, you know, if they do keep Davidson.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that might then raise questions like, oh, well, they are going in a direction of, hey, we just want a guy that will be able to go out there and maybe be a little bit of a better receiver and we don't care too much about blocking because they do bring in that six line in a lot.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_01]: But when you have a guy like Kate who
- 49:29[SPEAKER_01]: Isn't the best blocker?
- 49:31[SPEAKER_01]: And we're not the worst blocker in the world, but he's not the best blocker for a tight end position either.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: If you can then run knocks and jacks and haws out there and then still get a third line without there.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's going to be, that's going to be a force there because you have guys that then can just block and run guys over.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_01]: So if you can put an extra line into and jacks and haws on one side of the line, I mean, what are you going to do there?
- 49:52[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's going to get run over by guys that want to run you over and do it for a living and
- 49:59[SPEAKER_01]: are going out there looking to make you not want to play the game football.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, tight end three battle.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think it has much as I hate to say, I think it pretty much already decided to at least in my head where I think it's going to be Jackson Hawes and you know, you spent wrap back pick on them.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going to risk losing him?
- 50:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be tough to put that out there if you are going to put them on practice while I risk losing them.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I agree.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_00]: Hauls would be my pick and stay out here with this battle.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: Get those big guys, you know, Deon Dawkins and Spencer Brown, some help there on the, you know, sealing up those edges.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: I think that'd be pretty in line with what this regime wants to accomplish in this offense.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_00]: All right, Donald Kingkade, year three expectations, Kenny live up to them.
- 50:49[SPEAKER_00]: I guess what are your expectations for Donald Kingkade?
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, I think people expect big things from him, but, you know, what does that really mean to you and how close to those expectations do you think he'll get?
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough because I think it also is dependent on Josh Allen.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you look at last year, yeah, you can say you can K didn't live up to expectations, which he didn't get a rough year, but there.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_01]: There was not a single player in the NFL that had a higher missed pass rate than then don't can K. I believe like Josh Allen missed him wide open a lot.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, Concade had a lot of drops that he should have made.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_01]: And he didn't make as many plays as he should have made.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_01]: So as much as yes, Concade needs to get in needs to be better than he was last year.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_01]: It's also dependent on can Josh Allen hit a more.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: Can they get on the same page more?
- 51:40[SPEAKER_01]: That's brilliant.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I'm looking for him just to be on the same page as Allen more.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like he last year, he had six drops.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's working your head for.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in that four or five range of drops, obviously it's not you're wanting to hear that.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: If you're in that range, but Josh Allen can hit you to ten more times and instead of forty four receptions on seventy five targets you get you know fifty or sixty receptions on ninety targets or sixty five on ninety that that is an improvement that's something I think those ones would see so for me my expectations I do think they'll get back to that that ninety target eighty the ninety target range.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's seventy five and I only played thirteen games started nine of them.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: So like the only had a sixteen target wrap up from this rookie year and he's rookie year.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: He played all sixteen games.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: So my expectations are that seven hundred yard mark for seventy to eighty were you know receptions.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, it will be dependent on his target range.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_01]: So I think his target range which we'll talk about a little bit will
- 52:44[SPEAKER_01]: be back to that round eighty ninety if you get to a hundred I'll be a fan of it because I do think he is a guy that can can be a reliable target for him now he's not going to be a guy that might have a hundred targets in a hundred or thousand yards you can get a hundred even a ninety targets in seven hundred yards that's good because you know that he made that means he's just catching the ball and doing his job and getting those five six yards that are tough yards so that's that's for me the expectations is to get in that seven hundred yard mark again
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: if you can get higher, I'd absolutely love that.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: But just be a reliable target.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: His catch rate last year, which I'm not even having right here in front of me, I just had it.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: Where is it here?
- 53:25[SPEAKER_01]: His catch rate for Dalton, concave, was fifty-eight percent.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_01]: If you can get that up to seventy, that's perfect for me.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: Even a eighty, that would be unbelievable.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just, yeah, it's a shame kind of how I think some people looked at it last year.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and it's, it just comes with, I think, yeah, like part of what Steve said here.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_01]: He was just the last trans guy in a lot of bad moments that Josh relied on.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it happened.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes it doesn't.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of times it didn't last year, any bad old injuries and he had a rough year, but I think he'll bounce back and get back to that seventy seventy five percent catch rate.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_01]: And if he does that, then he'll be in the top ten tight ends and then we back in that conversation.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, a little bit torn, but I do think that what you said was was pretty spot on as far as don't concave.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_00]: He definitely needs that Josh Allen to have his back.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: So to speak, you mentioned not so many drops, but
- 54:35[SPEAKER_00]: There's a big discrepancy between targets or sections and the amount of times that he was open and I think Joe Marino did a really good job.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: on the locked-on podcast talking about this a lot last year.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_00]: That, you know, that missed throw rate from Josh Allen to don't engage led the league for most of the year.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think it ended up leading league and it just, you know, the injury to concaid as well.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: People are saying here in the comments as well.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_00]: I brought up when you first started on it is, you know, how many games will he appear in?
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: Is he going to sit there and be there for
- 55:14[SPEAKER_00]: all seventeen games or not.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_00]: He plays very physical, but his body type needs to develop more to support that physical play.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's not afraid to put his head down and run into people, but guys that do that also get beat up pretty quickly and concussions become an issue or shoulders and things like that.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_00]: You do have to really hope that his body is going to be in the right shape to start this year and that he can sort of learn to protect himself a little bit more while maintaining that edge.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I do expect an uptick.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_00]: I expect Alan to be more in sync with him.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_00]: I expect
- 55:53[SPEAKER_00]: him to overall just be a better player, be more available and have more success when it comes down to it.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm in line with with what you're saying as far as want to give a stat line for him.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_00]: In the mid maybe.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: Ninety six targets.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say I think they do go back towards we were talking last off season about him.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_00]: And a lot of people I know I talked with Dan Feets and the folks at Buffalo Plus and they pulled my question up on on their show.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_00]: Before last year and it's like, King, it's going to lead this team in targets.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_00]: Well, now, you know, that that's kind of about the window.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think in a lot of people's mind and she cares that clear cut.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_00]: One for that, but I think he does get up towards like, ninety six targets and then.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_00]: From there, you know, let's see, that's twenty one more targets.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully leads hopefully he can get like.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, seventy catches and then where's that leave them about seven hundred and twenty five yards.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_00]: And let's see what he does in the end zone get get the four get the five touchdowns.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_00]: Can you take that step and score a few more touchdowns this year.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think with a few more games played more targets.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_00]: He does get there up around five touchdowns this year.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm also, I was in the fantasy week for the dinosaurs, so I'm hoping he takes that stuff.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_00]: Well, James Cooklass here with that, you know, when I drafted one of my leagues, I was like, man, I'm really kind of thin at getting a running back with Cook was there.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, I know he hasn't scored touchdowns in this career, but I really hope this year is that big step boy did that help me out at time because he took a huge jump.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I think King Kade may not take that level going from like two touchdowns in a year to eat teen, but somewhere in the middle there to get up, you know, five to eight would be, you know, not crazy to think I believe.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think the main thing is going to be targets for him in reception.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, at ninety one is a rookie.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_01]: Ninety one targets as a rookie.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's, and he was hit seventy five and thirteen games.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_01]: I was still second on the team by twenty eight.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_01]: Like, that's her eight teams.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_01]: I can't do math.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_01]: Like, eighteen more targets and he missed three games and actually four games and he only started nine.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I do expect the targets to be back there.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you said, like,
- 58:26[SPEAKER_01]: I had a AD-N-I-D and might, yeah, like you said, maybe even more.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the email you even get a hundred targets.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_01]: You might have two guys with a hundred targets to share in both your care and can cave there.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_01]: So, that is the last thing that we actually do have here, which technically is the in and out, who's gonna be on the team with our prediction of who's gonna make it and the target here.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, I have mine written right in front of me here.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_01]: I got right here with who I got with the targets range.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so, do you want to do one guy and we each say the target range we have?
- 58:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, however you want to play, I'm down for that.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_01]: So first guy, we'll go with Kalusha here for me.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_01]: I have just between one ten one twenty.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's that's the range you should have him in and I hoping that he's in there.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_01]: And you had a hundred last year, if doesn't miss any games again, this is if they don't miss any games, I do believe that he should be in that one ten to one twenty range.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_00]: I had him between one twenty one twenty five.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and again, this is if their injuries are going to happen, some of these guys are not going to reach this.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I mean, he even missed two games last year as well.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_01]: And he's only started nine games last year.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_01]: So he and he reached hundreds.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_01]: So that's sure here for me, Coleman is an interesting one.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_01]: He had fifty seven last year.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_01]: For me, I had him between sixty and seventy.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_01]: If you can still be in that sixty seventy range, it's kind of tough because I don't expect him to get up to eighty.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you're, if you're, if he's up at eighty,
- 59:46[SPEAKER_00]: you're talking about one of the most important receivers I think in the league if he gets I hope he gets there I mean I hope he has the ability to get there but then it's how many times are they going to throw the ball I just wrote down some numbers here in a spreadsheet and I'm at like five hundred and thirty five targets and I'm like man where do I take targets away because they're probably not going to throw you know are they going to throw five hundred and thirty but we talked about the over under number
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_00]: with what this offense is going to do.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_00]: How many more targets are going to be available?
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: Now, ninety nine targets were vacated from last year and where are they going to make those up?
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_00]: Well, they got new guys coming in.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: You got a assume that Palmer, maybe a healthy Samuel, takes some of those off and then lies a more.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_01]: So, well, this is also generally said earlier, it was the first year and six years that they were well under, well under five, like, are they going to replicate that?
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think that they'll get I think that they will improve with how many times they pass like we said earlier on the show with just due to circumstances of scheduling times that they're going to be in bad weather less this year than maybe last year.
- 1:00:53[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think that they do end up improving in that and getting towards that range of of maybe five twenty five forty in this range.
- 1:01:01[SPEAKER_01]: So it will go up so yeah, the targets from last year will seem a little bit skewed as well.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_01]: The next guy I have here is Josh Palmer.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think for Josh Palmer when it comes to targets?
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the fifty to, I'm in the round the fifty range for targets.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just not sure.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I hope you, I say fifty out loud and it's like, man, maybe that's light, but I just don't know.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, again, like, I mean, Matt Collins said fifty last year.
- 1:01:31[SPEAKER_01]: So like, if you, yeah.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_01]: for me I have around sixty just because I do I also have high expectations from Palmer like I could superlistically seeing Palmer get more targets than Coleman I could I don't think it will happen and I hope it doesn't happen because I think I want Coleman to take that step but I just have very high expectations for Palmer this year just because I think it will fit right into this offense
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I think they'll love him this year.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I'm at that sixty-ish mark.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_01]: So a little bit more than you.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I wouldn't be shocked if it's fifty.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't be shocked if it's forty five.
- 1:02:04[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and I wouldn't be, I wouldn't be opposed like the reason why mine's fifty and you're sixty because I had to cure at that one twenty to one twenty five.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_00]: So if you give, you know, take ten away from Shakira that I had, give it to Palmer.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_00]: I'm good.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that's probably working out just well balanced.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: Next guy.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_01]: I have the next two guys actually in a similar range, which is Samuel and more.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I have them both around that thirty to forty somewhere in there.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_01]: One of them.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_00]: I wrote down forty four for Samuel and thirty six for more.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm in writing that range with you.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, again, maybe more comes out and shows out and he gets to fifty sixty.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_01]: Who like that could really happen.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_01]: But I just think both of them will be in that similar range when it comes to that
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_01]: thirty forty maybe one of them gets well above forty maybe one of them stays more towards the high twenty's like I mean Samuel last year though had forty six targets last year.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_01]: Will it improve I don't see it improving just because I think Homer will take a lot more targets but who knows I mean that that's going to be a tough one there for them.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_01]: The last guy up here is Shavers.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_01]: I have Shavers between like ten and fifteen.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think I'm at twelve.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he makes the team and I think they do like him.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_01]: So I have him around ten to fifteen.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_01]: And then we got the tight ends here.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_01]: So it can cade.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_01]: See, I had eighty here.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_01]: But now I was we've been talking.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_01]: I do think I do agree with you.
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think that yeah, maybe he does get between ninety and a hundred here.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like, especially looking at a slash, I didn't realize his work here.
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_01]: He had a ninety one targets.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like I really didn't realize that.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm going to say that ninety to a hundred.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go with you.
- 1:03:42[SPEAKER_01]: I know you said ninety six for him.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I got him in that similar range.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and then Dawson Knox.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_01]: Dawson, I said helpful because Dawson Knox last year at thirty three.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if he reaches that.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't met twenty five that I'm at thirty one.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like again, it's, it's something where it's like, unless concave gets hurt, like concave was hurt last year.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_01]: So concox had to have a little bit of a big role when he had some games where he had three, four or five targets for two, three games stretch.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_01]: So knocks the tough one.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I just have other, I just put other for the receiver running backs.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, who knows?
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_00]: I've got any one targets that are running backs.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_00]: I got thirty seven for cook, twenty six for Ty Johnson and eighteen for a Davis.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I got ninety in total just because again, I think maybe there'll be some random, I mean, even even a tight entry.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm just kind of grouping him in there as well.
- 1:04:34[SPEAKER_01]: So I have about ninety.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I literally have eighty nine for if you count T three and running backs.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because code last year had thirty eight.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_01]: Ty Johnson had twenty five.
- 1:04:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, does Ty Johnson's number go out like this is where it gets tough is like just Ty Johnson's number go out.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_01]: because they decide to back and, you know, they want everyone to go up, right?
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: But it's like, man, well, there's only so many balls going out there.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:04:57[SPEAKER_00]: Just go down.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like, as they say, hey, cook, you know, we're, yeah, I gotta see them using him, you know?
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_00]: I gotta see that roll, go a little bit more.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:05:07[SPEAKER_01]: So, I mean, it's tough.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's kind of our predictions that we're all both kind of in the same range with a lot, like most of these guys.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_01]: Just some of us, we have a few more, but I mean, it's, I think the order is pretty set.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_01]: You might be able to see some guys swapped.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like I could see Palmer and Coleman swapped.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_01]: I could see Palmer and more or same.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_01]: It was swap.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like I could see them swap.
- 1:05:28[SPEAKER_01]: But I think Shakira is the number one for sure.
- 1:05:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I think we both agree that can cage should be the number two leader in targets.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it should come that way.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then when it comes to that three four kind of range, that's when it will kind of be like, okay, there could be multiple guys in that three four five spot even six.
- 1:05:46[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know what you guys are excited to see and hope you hope gets an improvement in targets this year.
- 1:05:55[SPEAKER_01]: If you think somebody should get less, you think somebody should get more.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_01]: Let us know who you guys are most excited about this year.
- 1:06:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and that's basically what we have.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we're going to do we do.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_00]: Who's going to make it?
- 1:06:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, do me.
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_01]: I kind of did that with who I had here.
- 1:06:13[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we, I think we both have that.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_01]: Stamies.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, check here, Coleman Samuel or Secure's Coleman Palmer.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_00]: Let's put him third, I guess.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_00]: Samuel more and shivers with King cave knocks and haws being the tight ends.
- 1:06:26[SPEAKER_01]: The big question will be, I do think they keep sex, but the big question will be if that sex will be shaped or it's will be Chanel.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_01]: Well, both of them make it instead of Samuel or more like that.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_00]: I have this inkling Chanel, but I just don't like, I'm trying to like, all right, you have this just thought of, okay, it's Chanel's gonna make this team.
- 1:06:46[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you think that?
- 1:06:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I cannot explain to myself enough to confidently say, I think Chanel's gonna make the team, because I wanted to say it, and I just,
- 1:06:57[SPEAKER_00]: he's again, he's the thought of him, the the bill, then the skill set that he has, you know, I love it all, but I just think that it's just, um, he has to put it together, but not sure if he's going to be able to do it on this offense.
- 1:07:11[SPEAKER_01]: Scott, I'm okay again, if anybody wants to go read the full article, Scott did wrap an article today, just called a look at the bills, uh, twenty twenty five receiving corpse.
- 1:07:20[SPEAKER_01]: He did wrap it on Bill Lufordock or Bill Luford news.com.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm reading this right now.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_01]: He does have six keeping the roster.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_01]: And he has the top three that are locks.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_01]: Here Coleman Palmer said the same thing about more in Samuel.
- 1:07:34[SPEAKER_01]: He said it's it's hard to imagine them not making the roster.
- 1:07:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then he said it's between.
- 1:07:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he said he's he's hammer hammer has a turn ability.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_01]: Should we should melt more proven or drill on his shivers or salad on special teams as he said from a coverage perspective perspective, but do not have the return ability.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_01]: It says assuming the bills decide to keep the security as close to care can come in Josh Palmer, Carter Stamial, Elijah Moran, he does have Leviska Schnault.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_00]: But he's taken him for that special team's role.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what I exactly what if he's on that special team's role, he will a one hundred percent make this to you know, I think that's
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great thought just threw it up to and read that last paragraph that you mentioned.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_00]: So guys go out and check out built in BuffaloNews.com and look at the bills, two thousand twenty-five and it's even courts.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's fair man.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that's we're all on the same page here with with our thoughts as far as Chanel goes specifically obviously you and I with our
- 1:08:33[SPEAKER_00]: target rates will have to try to get Scott the chime in privately and see if and post these results of our thoughts and get them all in one place.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_00]: But man, shenalt and shivers, that's going to be a battle.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be fun one, too, because those guys are, you know, like I said, those two, I mean, shenalt's kind of this is kind of his last shot here.
- 1:08:54[SPEAKER_01]: And shivers is, again, looking to make another mark, thank you did last year on this front office.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_01]: And we both obviously think he will.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, we'll see what happens, but it's going to be fun.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right, guys.
