- 0:00Speaker 1: Live from Midtown Manhattan, here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on 710WOR.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Well, hey, it's Monday. It's Columbus Day. The rain stopped.
- 0:12Speaker 2: The parade goes on. Mom Donnie is snubbing the Columbus
- 0:16Speaker 2: Day parade. He will not be there. That's just terrible.
- 0:20Speaker 2: He's clearly announcing to everybody he's the mayor for some
- 0:25Speaker 2: of New York, not all of New York, but.
- 0:29Speaker 2: The truth is, I think they're kind of thrilled not
- 0:31Speaker 2: to have him there because all he's going to happen
- 0:34Speaker 2: is he'll get booed all along the way. He could
- 0:36Speaker 2: also argue that maybe he shouldn't come. Most of the
- 0:39Speaker 2: crowd will just boo Mamdani, but he will not be there.
- 0:42Speaker 2: He snubbed the Columbus Day parades yesterday, Queens, Brooklyn, that
- 0:47Speaker 2: sort of stuff. He snubbed other parades. Again, he's a
- 0:50Speaker 2: mayor for a little bit of New York, not all
- 0:52Speaker 2: of New York. We'll get back to Mamdani. President Trump,
- 0:57Speaker 2: busy as ever. Every day, going to another state, another city.
- 1:01Speaker 2: He'll be going to Ohio this afternoon to campaign there.
- 1:06Speaker 2: We'll get all the real poll numbers, not the fake
- 1:08Speaker 2: poll numbers, later on in the show. President Trump shooting
- 1:14Speaker 2: his mouth off all weekend. We love when he does that.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Gives us plenty to talk about. He called for renaming
- 1:22Speaker 2: the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean the Trump Oceans. the trump
- 1:28Speaker 2: oceans all right now why does he do that he
- 1:31Speaker 2: knows it sets you off he knows he knows it
- 1:36Speaker 2: drives the left crazy he knows it gets him in
- 1:39Speaker 2: an uproar and he kind of enjoys that he likes
- 1:42Speaker 2: seeing you run around screaming and yelling so yeah he
- 1:45Speaker 2: did call for renaming it the trump oceans but listen
- 1:49Speaker 2: he doesn't really mean it he said he would like
- 1:51Speaker 2: to have a river but he loves all of our
- 1:53Speaker 2: rivers he loves the mississippi can't rename that hey we
- 1:57Speaker 2: didn't get to uh the Nobel Prize on Friday. The
- 2:03Speaker 2: Nobel Prize has become the most sleazy, dirty, corrupt, biased,
- 2:10Speaker 2: ridiculous award over the last couple of decades. It used
- 2:13Speaker 2: to be quite the legitimate award. First, it went very left-wing,
- 2:18Speaker 2: and then it went very anti-Semitic. It's a really anti-Semitic committee.
- 2:23Speaker 2: You know, it was a legitimate award many, many, many
- 2:26Speaker 2: years ago. The Israeli Prime Minister, Shimon Peres, 1994, got
- 2:31Speaker 2: the Nobel Peace Prize. The Israeli Prime Minister. Well, in
- 2:37Speaker 2: recent decades, this is the Nobel Prize Committee of today.
- 2:41Speaker 2: They've denounced the award. They've said they regret giving an award.
- 2:45Speaker 2: They're just very anti-Semitic. They're anti-Israel. They're anti-Semitic. And they've
- 2:49Speaker 2: been doing this all along. It's an anti-Semitic committee that
- 2:56Speaker 2: does this. this year they picked the biggest anti-Semite on
- 3:01Speaker 2: earth they could find. And it's this woman from the UN. Again,
- 3:05Speaker 2: UN is as anti-Semitic as you can get. So she's
- 3:10Speaker 2: not only from the UN, she's on the International Criminal Court.
- 3:13Speaker 2: That's that fake court that a bunch of crazy left-wingers
- 3:17Speaker 2: created in Norway. You can just create your own court
- 3:20Speaker 2: and declare it an international court of whatever. And that's
- 3:24Speaker 2: all it is. It has absolutely no authority to do
- 3:26Speaker 2: anything Countries don't recognize it. The United States doesn't recognize it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: In fact, we're now in the process of trying to
- 3:34Speaker 2: sanction that international criminal court and put it out of business.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's just a fake organization. Anyway, she's from that. And
- 3:41Speaker 2: in that fake international criminal court, she declared Israel guilty
- 3:46Speaker 2: of genocide. She declared Israel guilty of war crimes, just
- 3:50Speaker 2: anti-Semitic nonsense. Hamas could launch the worst Holocaust on October 7th.
- 3:56Speaker 2: rape women, slit babies' throats. And to her, that's not genocide.
- 4:01Speaker 2: But if Israel responds, as any country would have, it's genocide.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So she's a vicious anti-Semite. So she got the Nobel
- 4:09Speaker 2: Peace Prize. President Trump tweeting out that it's just a
- 4:15Speaker 2: horrible thing. She obviously hates Israel. She hates America. And
- 4:21Speaker 2: he also said it's a stain on the country of Norway.
- 4:26Speaker 2: He says the Nobel Peace Prize has been forever discredited
- 4:29Speaker 2: by a handful of radical ideologues who are anti-democracy. Now,
- 4:34Speaker 2: you know, for years, whoever hates Trump the most, whoever
- 4:38Speaker 2: is the most left-wing kook they give a Nobel Prize to.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Do you know they gave a Nobel Prize to the
- 4:43Speaker 2: worst economist ever in the world, Paul Krugman? He was
- 4:47Speaker 2: that bug-eyed weirdo New York Times economist who always got
- 4:51Speaker 2: everything wrong. Remember when Trump took office in 2016, he
- 4:56Speaker 2: said the whole world economy will collapse because of it.
- 4:58Speaker 2: He gets everything wrong. Do you remember in, I think
- 5:02Speaker 2: it was 99, when Paul Krugman wrote that big thing
- 5:06Speaker 2: about how the Internet would fade away? It was nothing.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It would go the way of the fax machine, that
- 5:13Speaker 2: the Internet would never catch on. That's Paul Krugman, that
- 5:16Speaker 2: complete idiot, and won a Nobel Prize. That's just the
- 5:21Speaker 2: way they do things at that crazy, crazy committee. Speaking
- 5:25Speaker 2: of Columbus Day, President Trump did issue a Columbus Day
- 5:28Speaker 2: message stating that the days of plunder where the radical
- 5:32Speaker 2: left Democrats, socialists and communists tore down Christopher Columbus statues.
- 5:38Speaker 2: He said that's over. Cities and towns will not be
- 5:41Speaker 2: ripping down the beautiful statues of Christopher Columbus. Those days
- 5:45Speaker 2: of plunder are over. The statues are back more magnificent
- 5:49Speaker 2: than ever. I don't know what he's going to do
- 5:50Speaker 2: about it if it happens in the city, but he'll
- 5:53Speaker 2: do whatever he can. So Mamdani's not going to the
- 5:57Speaker 2: Columbus Day Parade. He snubbed the two Columbus Day Parades yesterday.
- 6:03Speaker 2: But he tried to do, this is what he always does,
- 6:05Speaker 2: he tries to do something to make it look like
- 6:08Speaker 2: he's on the right side. But whenever he does that,
- 6:11Speaker 2: whenever he tries to do something noble, he sticks in
- 6:15Speaker 2: there something to let the crazy communist left-wingers know that
- 6:21Speaker 2: he doesn't mean it. So For Italian Heritage Month, he
- 6:25Speaker 2: did a video. He put it up on social media,
- 6:28Speaker 2: a video praising a great Italian. But who did he
- 6:33Speaker 2: pick out? He picked out a communist, crazy Italian who
- 6:39Speaker 2: had ties to the Communist Party, like a real left-wing
- 6:42Speaker 2: kook of a congressman with communist ties. That's the Italian
- 6:45Speaker 2: he honored. A lot of people responded, City Councilwoman Palladino.
- 6:50Speaker 2: of all the men and women of the Italian descent,
- 6:53Speaker 2: that's who he picked, an obscure communist who, by the way,
- 6:57Speaker 2: the guy he picked was against us being in World
- 6:59Speaker 2: War II. He was investigated by the FBI for ties
- 7:03Speaker 2: to the Communist Party. So, you know, remember there's that 2020,
- 7:09Speaker 2: there's a social media post that was uncovered. It was
- 7:13Speaker 2: years ago, but it was Mamdani giving the finger to
- 7:17Speaker 2: the statue of Christopher Columbus in Queens and yelling, take
- 7:21Speaker 2: it down. So this is not the guy you really
- 7:24Speaker 2: want in the Columbus Day Parade. So it's probably a
- 7:26Speaker 2: good thing that he stay home. Now, President Trump also
- 7:32Speaker 2: announced Russia, Ukraine have reached an energy ceasefire. It doesn't
- 7:38Speaker 2: end the war, but they'll stop bombing refineries and oil
- 7:43Speaker 2: facilities because that's what drove the price of diesel way up.
- 7:47Speaker 2: So he announced that they've reached a ceasefire agreement on energy. Now,
- 7:55Speaker 2: the problem is apparently they didn't know they reached an agreement.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Here's Zelensky.
- 7:59Speaker 4: With all respect to President Trump, it's up to our society,
- 8:07Speaker 4: up to our people to choose one or another leader.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 2: So he announced the deal between these two, but forgot
- 8:15Speaker 2: to mention it to these two. So I don't know.
- 8:17Speaker 2: He also called for Ukraine to get a new leader.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Ukraine-Russia should have never happened if I were president. It
- 8:27Speaker 1: never would have happened. But President Zelensky could have solved
- 8:30Speaker 1: this war or he could have made a deal many times.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I've been there many times.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so he's back to not liking Zelensky.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I suggest they get a new leader who can make
- 8:43Speaker 1: a deal.
- 8:43Speaker 2: All right, Zelensky. Tell Putin, give us.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Two months, 60 days of total ceasefire, 60 days, and
- 8:53Speaker 4: we will organize elections. Of course, we will be ready
- 8:57Speaker 4: for any choice of our people. We are open for this.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Don't attack us.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Don't kill our children. We will stop attack your diesel.
- 9:07Speaker 4: And I think it's fair, fair deal.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if you're in a war, you're in
- 9:12Speaker 2: a war. So they're trying to hurt Russia's economy as
- 9:14Speaker 2: much as they could. Russia's only, well, not the only,
- 9:16Speaker 2: but the main business, most of their economy is oil sales,
- 9:20Speaker 2: and diesel oil is a big part of it. So
- 9:24Speaker 2: they were hitting their diesel refineries, their diesel facilities, costing
- 9:28Speaker 2: them a fortune. But the other problem is you knock
- 9:30Speaker 2: out all that Russian diesel oil, it drives up the
- 9:33Speaker 2: price of diesel all over the world and here in America,
- 9:36Speaker 2: and that's what trucks and farmers depend on. So the
- 9:40Speaker 2: price of diesel way up. Now, that caused the fake news.
- 9:44Speaker 2: The Sunday shows were going crazy for a couple of weeks,
- 9:47Speaker 2: screaming and yelling all the fake news, demanding that the
- 9:50Speaker 2: president do something about that. Why, the high price of
- 9:53Speaker 2: diesel fuel, the demanding he fix that. So he did
- 9:59Speaker 2: probably the best thing you. could do. He lifted the
- 10:02Speaker 2: tariffs on all Russian diesel. We were blocking the import,
- 10:05Speaker 2: but now we're going to allow it to come flowing in.
- 10:07Speaker 2: That'll drive the price down. So what happens on the
- 10:10Speaker 2: Sunday shows yesterday? Now they attack him for doing something
- 10:14Speaker 2: about it. for two, three weeks demanding he do it.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Now when he does it, they're attacking him saying, how
- 10:19Speaker 2: could he make a deal with Putin? What is going on?
- 10:22Speaker 2: Why this deal with Putin? So that's why you just
- 10:26Speaker 2: do whatever you want. That's why he doesn't care. You
- 10:28Speaker 2: can't win. The fake news will attack you if you don't.
- 10:30Speaker 2: They'll attack you if you do. They'll attack you if
- 10:33Speaker 2: you do nothing. They'll just keep attacking you. So now
- 10:39Speaker 2: the guy that was shot, this illegal career criminal, You know,
- 10:44Speaker 2: you saw his rap sheet. He was arrested for this.
- 10:46Speaker 2: He was convicted of this. And the guy's only been
- 10:49Speaker 2: here three years. Pretty good rap sheet for just three years.
- 10:52Speaker 2: He was shot by ICE in the neck. Apparently the
- 10:55Speaker 2: bullet is still lodged in his neck. They did take
- 10:57Speaker 2: him to another hospital over the weekend. He's now in
- 11:00Speaker 2: the Brooklyn Detention Center. His lawyer is saying the conditions
- 11:05Speaker 2: are deplorable. Well, I think they're supposed to be in jail.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I think that's the idea.
- 11:11Speaker 3: But.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Mamdani demanding his release, demanding, Mamdani now claiming he will
- 11:18Speaker 2: investigate ICE. And you know this Mamdani, master investigator, why
- 11:23Speaker 2: I'm sure he'll get to the bottom of everything. But ICE, listen,
- 11:28Speaker 2: if you look at the numbers, ICE, you got to
- 11:32Speaker 2: get illegals off the street. And if they're criminals, you
- 11:36Speaker 2: got to get them out of America. If they're illegals
- 11:38Speaker 2: who are raping, robbing, Gang members, you have to get
- 11:42Speaker 2: them out of the country. And so far, they have
- 11:45Speaker 2: arrested and deported 600,000 of them. That's 600,000 criminals off
- 11:54Speaker 2: the streets. That's a pretty good thing. It means a
- 11:56Speaker 2: lot as far as safety for a lot of Americans. Now,
- 11:59Speaker 2: they've also seen 1.9 million self-deportations, a lot of them
- 12:05Speaker 2: fleeing the country before ICE gets them. That way they
- 12:09Speaker 2: can go where they want instead of getting deported to
- 12:11Speaker 2: somewhere they don't want to go. So if you total
- 12:13Speaker 2: that up, that's two and a half million criminals that
- 12:16Speaker 2: have been deported, arrested and deported. Two and a half million.
- 12:21Speaker 2: And that explains why the crime numbers are down everywhere
- 12:25Speaker 2: in cities all over the place. So keep it up.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Mamdani will yell and scream about ICE, but it really...
- 12:36Speaker 2: It shouldn't bother anybody. But he's going to investigate.
- 12:39Speaker 3: In terms of what I will be doing with the
- 12:41Speaker 3: police commissioner is a review of that entire 24-hour period.
- 12:46Speaker 3: That includes ISIS shooting. It includes the NYPD's response to
- 12:49Speaker 3: the incident, as well as the ensuing protest. It includes
- 12:52Speaker 3: ISIS use of a privately owned parking lot as a
- 12:55Speaker 3: staging area. And it includes every tool that is available
- 12:58Speaker 3: to us to protect New Yorkers across the five boroughs.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Well, but that's what he does. You know, he talks
- 13:03Speaker 2: very fast and he sounds like he knows what he's
- 13:05Speaker 2: talking about. And he talks like a guy who's going
- 13:06Speaker 2: to get a lot of stuff done. And he talks
- 13:08Speaker 2: like you can't wait to get it. In the meantime,
- 13:10Speaker 2: he never does anything. So don't worry about it. He's
- 13:12Speaker 2: all talk. Nothing ever actually happens. All right. It's almost Halloween.
- 13:18Speaker 2: It's almost Halloween. What is the most popular Halloween costume
- 13:24Speaker 2: this year? Well, actually, it's a bunch of them. Most
- 13:27Speaker 2: popular Halloween costumes. See if you can guess.
- 13:31Speaker 1: No.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Sabrina Carpenter is one. Dolly Parton is another. A lot
- 13:37Speaker 2: of people will be going as Dolly Parton this year.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Nikki Freeman. K-pop Demon Hunters. Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. See,
- 13:48Speaker 2: this is the problem with Halloween now. A lot of
- 13:50Speaker 2: older people are going to open the door. They're not
- 13:51Speaker 2: going to know who the hell you're supposed to be.
- 13:53Speaker 2: They don't know any of these people. So, just like
- 13:55Speaker 2: everything else, Halloween costumes splintered. Some people will know what
- 13:59Speaker 2: this costume is. Some people will know what that costume is. Anyway, hey, Cornell,
- 14:06Speaker 2: that crazy Cornell University, just making a mess out of everything.
- 14:10Speaker 2: So they've announced a new program. Cornell will now offer
- 14:14Speaker 2: degrees to people in prison. That's right. Don't ask. Who
- 14:22Speaker 2: knows why? They're going to have prison college classes. They're
- 14:29Speaker 2: starting with the Cayuga Correctional Facility. It's the Prison Education Program.
- 14:35Speaker 2: It'll be a three-year bachelor professional studies program. If you're
- 14:40Speaker 2: in jail, you can go to Cornell. You can actually
- 14:42Speaker 2: be a Cornell student while you're in prison. The first
- 14:46Speaker 2: major that's been approved, Organizations, Markets, and Society. And that's
- 14:50Speaker 2: the type of major you could have at Cornell, where
- 14:54Speaker 2: nobody knows what the hell it is. Organizations, Markets, and Society.
- 14:58Speaker 2: What the hell is that? You know, you go to
- 15:00Speaker 2: a Tech school, Lincoln Tech. You come out an electrician.
- 15:04Speaker 2: You come out a plumber. You come out an HVAC expert.
- 15:07Speaker 2: You know what you're doing. You're ready to go to work.
- 15:09Speaker 2: You walk out with your degree in organizations, markets, and society.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Go try to find a job with that stupid degree.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But the first group is 18 inmates. They'll enroll in
- 15:21Speaker 2: classes that will include economics, statistics, Data analytics. Now, if
- 15:27Speaker 2: you're in prison trying to stay alive, I would assume
- 15:30Speaker 2: that's an important skill, data analytics. I assume that would
- 15:33Speaker 2: help you. Entrepreneurship, marketing and finance through a combination of
- 15:39Speaker 2: self-paced learning and in-person sessions with Cornell professors. These left-wing
- 15:45Speaker 2: kooky Cornell professors, they can't wait to go to prison
- 15:48Speaker 2: because they want to help. They want to help the prison. Meantime,
- 15:51Speaker 2: they're going to get robbed blind in prison. They'll be
- 15:54Speaker 2: there for discussion and network. So this is, if you've
- 15:58Speaker 2: sent somebody to Cornell and paying money to Cornell, this
- 16:02Speaker 2: is how your money is being wasted for this nonsense. Anyway,
- 16:06Speaker 2: we've got a lot more to get to and a
- 16:08Speaker 2: lot coming up today. Mark Simone here, 9 to noon,
- 16:11Speaker 2: three hours every day, 9 to noon, here on 710WOR.
