- 6:26Hello there, everyone. Welcome back to the teach you
- 6:29our Channel and welcome to a very, very special God TV radio
- 6:34Podcast. Today, I'm going to be doing a
- 6:36collab that. I'm sure.
- 6:38None of you saw coming because I didn't know until this morning
- 6:42that it was going to happen and you probably never would have
- 6:45thought this a couple of years ago.
- 6:46But I am here, we have Godless girl, The Atheist on YouTube
- 6:51that I actually respect. Add to basically all the others
- 6:54who are more popular than she is.
- 6:57Say hello Godless haha. Thank you.
- 6:59Hi everybody. so Godless has been on a bit of a well I don't
- 7:05think it's necessarily a mission per se, but some of the content
- 7:08that she's put out recently, exposing the behavior and the
- 7:12attitudes and the actions of the general atheist, YouTube
- 7:16internet Community has been quite refreshing to me because I
- 7:20have observed, a lot of the same things ever since I started
- 7:24dealing with the topic of creation versus Evolution /
- 7:27atheism, back in 2000, I think 17 And so I thought it would be
- 7:32fun to have Godless herself. Come on here to go over those
- 7:36pieces of content, maybe provide us with some more details and
- 7:39we'll just swing on from there. So I think Godless before we get
- 7:44into your content, maybe you could give a brief introduction,
- 7:48brief introduction of yourself and what you're all about
- 7:53atheists a YouTuber. I'm a true of big-time troll,
- 7:56but I do have serious debates and discussions to.
- 7:59I know a lot of philosophy. I'm really good at debating
- 8:02anti-feminist, which is a rare position for a female to take.
- 8:08I'm a big fan of Brett Keen. We've been friends for a long
- 8:11time and I've been anti atheists for four years.
- 8:16I think part of it is because I used to be one of those like
- 8:21newbie rookie, arrogant atheist. That was really, really bad at
- 8:26debating but I thought I was good at the time and then I so
- 8:31now I hate that when other ideas because it like reminds me of
- 8:34what I hate about what I myself or what I used to be very very
- 8:39Noble of you to be that introspective unfortunately is
- 8:43we're going to talk about later that kind of introspection
- 8:46doesn't happen a lot in the atheist community.
- 8:49All right, or Humanity in general.
- 8:51But anyway, let me think I think the first thing we should look
- 8:57at as a tweet that you made on December 9th of this month, just
- 9:03got to remember where the share screen button.
- 9:05Is there it is. We'll take Yes actually let's
- 9:10take application window. This should work.
- 9:14All right, I'm on. And here we have and those of
- 9:18you who just That briefly, we are also live on quarter and
- 9:22Josh, you TV. So, if for some reason, this
- 9:25stream gets taken down due to a false flag campaign, or a mod at
- 9:29YouTube, just not liking me for whatever reason.
- 9:32I'll still be live on quarter and joshu TV, even if that
- 9:35happens. So that's what that's all about.
- 9:38So God lists on December 9th in the afternoon, showing a
- 9:43screenshot from The Atheist Experience.
- 9:46I pull they did asking if atheists had the Burden of
- 9:49proof. Now, the reason I find this post
- 9:52interesting is because as you can see in the picture, there
- 9:54were over 12,000 votes on this pole.
- 9:57So I consider that to be a pretty good representative
- 10:01sample of the atheist Community. Assuming that it's mostly
- 10:04atheists who were voting in this poll and so we see with over
- 10:0912,000 votes that only 2% said that atheists have a burden of
- 10:15proof, 27 percent said, no and 70.
- 10:19One percent said only if they make a claim.
- 10:22So what that really means is that of the twelve thousand plus
- 10:25people who voted in this poll, most of whom, I presume were
- 10:29atheists only 2% of 12,000. People said yes, atheist have a
- 10:36burden of proof, and when you pull out your calculator, you
- 10:39find some very interesting math. So you do 12,000 times.
- 10:49Go to that means out of over 12,000.
- 10:52Mostly atheist people who vote in this poll, only 240 of them
- 10:57said yes atheists have a burden of proof when it comes to their
- 11:01worldview. I don't know about you Godless,
- 11:03but I find this very staggering because I told all the time,
- 11:08that's exactly the word I was just thinking, I was told all
- 11:12the time by atheists, who comment on cam, I caught on my
- 11:15videos and as well as in their own videos.
- 11:17You know, I was told all the And that, you know, atheism is true
- 11:21and all the facts of reality pointed at our support.
- 11:24It all the logic, and the reason and the evidence of the
- 11:28observable reality, support, the truthfulness of atheism
- 11:31Evolution billions of years, excetera.
- 11:34And yet, when it comes to, you know, actually proving it 98% of
- 11:38atheists, say nah, we don't have to prove it.
- 11:42Why do they possess the ball on this issue?
- 11:44It's either prove it that I would be asking, it's just like
- 11:46give some kind of evidence for there.
- 11:49Their client. You know, they think the burden
- 11:50is completely on the theist. Which is weird because when you
- 11:54think about atheism as a worldview teaches that there is
- 11:59no God that exists outside of reality that made the reality
- 12:04and everything in it. So you'd think there'd be some
- 12:07pretty compelling evidence that would support that but yet,
- 12:13apparently, 98 percent of them say now, we don't have a burden
- 12:16of proof, we don't have to prove that atheism is true.
- 12:19We don't have to prove if any kind of observational evidence
- 12:23that Evolution as we teach it in schools on the cosmic, scale is
- 12:27true. Not all.
- 12:28The burden of proof is on you to prove us wrong.
- 12:31And that basically from where I've been sitting, for years,
- 12:34allows them to basically dismiss everything that I or another
- 12:38Christian or another creationist presents.
- 12:41No matter how well supported it is with studies observable
- 12:45evidence. In reality, logic reasons, like
- 12:47no matter what we say, they can just dismiss it because they
- 12:50feel like they don't have to prove anything is That been your
- 12:54experience looking at your brethren.
- 12:56Yeah. Well, this is why they, the
- 12:58boring debate about the definition of atheism is so
- 13:01common because they'll either will, they'll either say they're
- 13:04not atheists agnostics. So that then they think they're
- 13:07not to defend their position or they'll they'll say, oh I theism
- 13:11is just a lack of belief. Therefore, I don't really it's
- 13:14not even a position out to defend it, but I can tell you
- 13:18what almost always works to Corner them is You ask them?
- 13:23Well, don't you think it's more likely than not?
- 13:26That no gods exist, you know, like you're not totally on the
- 13:30fence and they'll almost always say?
- 13:31Yeah, I think it's more likely than not, that no, gods exist,
- 13:33still pretty much always admit it when you work, it like that.
- 13:36And it's like, well, that's that's a probabilistic claim.
- 13:39You're making their, what's your evidence, you know, they're not
- 13:42yet now. You have to support it, right?
- 13:44Because in order, then it's like, come on Sir.
- 13:47Come on, you're totally on the fence.
- 13:48Like, if you had to put your money somewhere, just, you just
- 13:50roll the dice. You wouldn't pick the side then
- 13:52Being dishonest obviously dishonest, right?
- 13:55Because when I think about, you know, something being probably
- 13:59true, it's not because of a hunch.
- 14:01I have it's because there's something I'm observing about,
- 14:04whatever it is. I'm thinking is probably true
- 14:06that makes me think. Okay?
- 14:08Even though there's not you know, conclusive evidence that
- 14:10this was true. What I'm seeing makes me think
- 14:13it probably is you would think if that's how they view you
- 14:17know. Well there's probably no God's
- 14:19more, it's more likely than not. It's more probable than not that
- 14:22there's a God. A door that you know or that God
- 14:24doesn't exist, you'd think they'd have something they've
- 14:27seen in reality that it instantly be able to point to
- 14:30and yet we don't get this response to me.
- 14:34Yeah, I mean, I have sophisticated atheist friends on
- 14:36the internet who do know how to defend their position and would,
- 14:39you know, be able to give arguments.
- 14:41But this poles from like the 80s experience fans, the people that
- 14:45watch, you know, that show. Matt Dillahunty used to be on
- 14:47all the time. I guess he's recently left the
- 14:50experience but that's the atheistic.
- 14:52Variance is like what mainstream atheism is on the internet?
- 14:56Yes, that's what I remember to because I remember when I was
- 15:00younger. Like like eight years ago, nine
- 15:04years ago, maybe even 10 years ago, I was seeing clip so that
- 15:07show on YouTube and whatnot. So yeah, I was under the
- 15:11impression by looking at who conducted the poll and how many
- 15:14people voted that this was basically mainstream atheism,
- 15:18being studied in real-time and I don't know, it's just feels
- 15:22really weird. You know, to sit here and be
- 15:25told that my opponents worldview is true, but he never has to
- 15:29prove. Anything just doesn't sit right
- 15:31to me and I don't think it's it writes its right to normal
- 15:34people. And I don't know if you know who
- 15:38Steve McRae is. He's a friend of mine, he's
- 15:40called himself, but he's like a true agnostic because he
- 15:45doesn't, he's been on the Forefront of the fight against
- 15:48atheists about the definition of atheism.
- 15:51He's like made himself enemies with, you know, Matt Dillahunty
- 15:54and raw. Because I don't know if you know
- 15:56who he is, you know who he is. I do know, Steve McCurry is I've
- 15:59actually made content about him in the past.
- 16:03Sounds like he's come a long way from the last time I talked to
- 16:05him. I remember back in 2018, it was
- 16:09he and I were having an argument with other people in a room
- 16:13after a show, I was in. And he actually told me that if
- 16:17I went to the Wikipedia page for wheatgrass, that I would see
- 16:21that wheatgrass is an example of evolution in action.
- 16:24Of course, I take up his advice and I go to the page and there's
- 16:28not one mention of evolution in the entire article, not in the
- 16:31sources, not in the text nowhere.
- 16:35And that was the last time I really interacted with and his
- 16:39content. So from what you're telling me,
- 16:41it sounds like he's come a long way in these last like four
- 16:44years. Well, I mean, he's usually he's
- 16:48really anti-creationist and stuff so you guys are hungry
- 16:52when it comes to that, but he's really done a lot to fight
- 16:55against the definition of atheism nonsense.
- 17:00I see. So I think we've talked about
- 17:05enough of this. Well, actually, maybe we can
- 17:09talk more about the 71% that exists within the 98.
- 17:14The people who in response to this poll said.
- 17:16Well, you know, we only have a burden of proof if we make a
- 17:20claim. What do you think of that entire
- 17:25logic of there's well, see that? So that's what they're doing is
- 17:28they're Actual position is that it's more likely than not that
- 17:31no gods exist. But they think if they just
- 17:33claim that they lack belief that then they don't have to defend
- 17:37it and they're doing that because they don't know how to
- 17:38defend it even though they believe it, even though they do
- 17:42believe, no gods exist. They don't want to defend it.
- 17:45So they won't claim that. No gods exist when they're
- 17:48talking to a Christian or whatever, they'll just say
- 17:51what's the evidence. Because I lack belief but
- 17:53they're just being dishonest about what they actually
- 17:56believe. So that sounds to me like The
- 17:59Christian who says yeah I believe that God exists in the
- 18:02Bible is true. But when press, they can't give
- 18:04you good evidence for why they think that Yes.
- 18:09Oh, I'm saying is, they won't claim what they won't make the
- 18:11claim and what they actually believe, they won't claim that
- 18:14they actually believe, which is an incredibly intellectually
- 18:16dishonest, and then they got around saying people like me or
- 18:19dishonest, the irony is rich in that.
- 18:22But yeah, I kind of get it. I mean, if you believe
- 18:30something, but you can't defend it.
- 18:32If you have any real self-awareness, you definitely
- 18:35wouldn't want to be put in the position of having to defend
- 18:38spend your worldview. Especially if you represent a
- 18:40community like atheists do because then you could be used
- 18:44as cannon fodder to say, well, you know, atheism is false, kind
- 18:49of like, a lot of atheists will go to the low-hanging fruit in
- 18:52the Christian Community and they'll hold that up as, like,
- 18:55this is representative of all, or the best Christians that
- 18:59there are as far as argumentation, and whatnot goes.
- 19:04So I can kind of understand why they would want to, you know,
- 19:08avoid Defending their worldview if they can.
- 19:10It just it just feels weird that they would do this.
- 19:13While simultaneously claiming that, you know, with certainty
- 19:16that my worldview is false or that evidence and logic, and
- 19:20rationality doesn't support my worldview, but does support.
- 19:24There's, it's just, it's all weird to for them to be doing
- 19:27all this at the same time. You know what I mean?
- 19:29Yeah, definitely. So the other thing you did that,
- 19:34I made a video about recently that I was hoping you could give
- 19:37us more examples of an action was this medium post you made
- 19:42called, you are a stupid and dishonest atheist if what I say
- 19:46triggers you. And so you talked about, you
- 19:50know, construction of true fan how it gets us through life and
- 19:53that once allies are repeated often enough that the real truth
- 19:57is suppressed and are constructed truth becomes our
- 20:00perception or what we think. Ink is reality.
- 20:02So I just wanted to go through points 1 through 5 and ask you
- 20:06for more specific examples of those points.
- 20:10Some point number one, you said you only read, watch what you
- 20:15already agree with that. You deliberately stay away from
- 20:18anything that might challenge your existing worldview and that
- 20:21this is to Simply conform to your own prejudices and you stay
- 20:25away from anything that might challenge your worldview.
- 20:29And then because of this, you start unfollowing people on
- 20:32social media who disagree with you.
- 20:34And basically you point out how when we are comfortable, but we
- 20:37believe we have no problem with being faced with dissenting
- 20:41content and you questioned, why someone would shy away if they
- 20:45really thought the truth was on their side?
- 20:47And there, any specific examples of that, that you've observed on
- 20:51the Internet or in real life that you can give regarding
- 20:55point one? Just like atheists.
- 20:58I mean, In. So they will watch the baits,
- 21:00which you know, is I guess watching some kind of opposing
- 21:04content, but then they'll only engage with like watching, you
- 21:10know, atheists review, the debates, rather than a Christian
- 21:13review, the debate and see what their criticisms are stuff like
- 21:19that. So I basically have the opposite
- 21:22approach. You know, I generally avoid
- 21:24debates and instead I'll go to like the V logs or that YouTube
- 21:28video Leo's that are much shorter that you know, the same
- 21:30people are putting out and respond to that.
- 21:34And I do see like Kristen's not that there's not intellectually
- 21:36dishonest Christians but Christians alike, watch The
- 21:39Atheist Experience and stuff, you'll never catch.
- 21:41It's very rare to catch an atheist watching like a
- 21:44Christian podcast or whatever. Yeah, I imagine that would be
- 21:49true. Because like I said, in my
- 21:51original video, about this article, my experience when I go
- 21:55to like atheist YouTube videos by like sir sick and apology and
- 22:02Professor stick and the like, basically.
- 22:04All I ever see in those comments sections practically is
- 22:08affirmation of some kind like you know, I was a great video.
- 22:11Oh, you're so smart. Oh yeah, you really showed us
- 22:14Christians and creationists in this one?
- 22:16But like, rarely ever do, I see any kind of dissent from what
- 22:21was said in the video, Even when there's some horribly wrong or
- 22:25horribly fallacious, things being said in the video that you
- 22:29would think an honest atheist would be saying.
- 22:31Well now, wait a minute buddy. I mean I'm with you on this
- 22:34whole worldview thing, but we can't be saying stuff like that.
- 22:37It makes us look bad. I don't ever see that in comment
- 22:41sections of videos by atheist evolutionist content creators.
- 22:46I make the comment, you know, right?
- 22:50And I mean you're gonna help us find exceptions to everything
- 22:52we're saying but we're just speaking generally the general
- 22:55Trends, I mean, I have seen to say here and there but it's so
- 22:59sporadic and occurs so little, I mean, it's probably like two
- 23:03percent of the comments I see in their sections.
- 23:06Of course. It's been a while since I've
- 23:07been trolling through those comments sections.
- 23:09I'm just speaking from my experience when I used to do.
- 23:12So more often back in like 2018, 2019.
- 23:17Before I got busy, doing all the crazy Tech stuff I've been
- 23:20doing. So Point number two was
- 23:25basically the whole anyone who's a who disagrees with me is
- 23:28stupid thing and that basically how atheists and people who
- 23:32practice this in general, use this as a way to protect
- 23:35themselves, from anything that descends from what they believe.
- 23:38And you said it's this kind of thinking and logic that leads to
- 23:43the creation of terms like magic Sky daddy and Basically, they're
- 23:47reducing Christianity to an ad absurdum level.
- 23:51So why is it so important that atheists, do not reduce
- 23:55Christianity to the ad absurdum level and basically accuse off,
- 23:59Christians are being stupid, simply for not agreeing with
- 24:02them. Why is it so important for
- 24:04atheists and your brethren to do that?
- 24:11I mean I'm not sure we ask the question again.
- 24:15Basically, why is it important to not reduce Christianity to ad
- 24:19absurdum and they can't make us make protective labels to
- 24:24protect yourself from, you know, a Christian who disagrees with
- 24:28you? Why is it important for you guys
- 24:30to do that? I'm sorry, I'm not understanding
- 24:32the question of do we do Christianity, reduce
- 24:34Christianity to a NAB ad? Absurdum yeah, you ready?
- 24:39A contradiction interview. Well you wrote here by reducing
- 24:44Christianity to ad absurdum, we don't need to worry about his
- 24:48potential truth and that you're wrapping yourself in protective
- 24:51labels. So I assumed that sent.
- 24:53Well, maybe I like Miss tight that maybe that was a typo or
- 24:56something. I didn't mean sorry.
- 24:57I messed up there. Okay, well, I the way I
- 25:00interpreted as you don't want to reduce Christianity's to some
- 25:03absurd position. That's not actually taught in
- 25:06any way, by any Christians ever because that's something I've
- 25:09seen to in atheist content. That they will claim that
- 25:13Christians say or teach things that I know for a fact as
- 25:16someone who's been in Christian groups and churches Etc, that no
- 25:20Christian I've ever come across has ever said that.
- 25:23So it's not actually an example is so Aaron Ross, he always
- 25:29strongman's the Christians on their definition of faith and
- 25:34he'll say it's something like you know, I'm in a believe this
- 25:37no matter what the evidence is against it, for no reason.
- 25:41And And he's been exposed by Christians multiple times for
- 25:44that's not the definition of faith, that any of them use.
- 25:47And he's been asked to cite like a single Theologian who says
- 25:50that and he never does. But he goes around continuing to
- 25:53assert that that's their definition of Faith, right.
- 25:57Which is weird to a Christian like me because there's all
- 25:59these parts on the Old and New Testament where God literally
- 26:02calls us to reason together with him.
- 26:05And you see, Jesus telling his enemies as well as his
- 26:08disciples. Hey, if you don't believe what
- 26:10I'm saying, just At the evidence.
- 26:12I'm providing through my works of my actions and you'll
- 26:15understand that I'm telling the truth.
- 26:17And so yeah, when I hear Aaron Ross, say, stuff like that in
- 26:21light of what the Bible records and posts, it's like, well that
- 26:25doesn't sound like the Christian worldview.
- 26:27There, Aaron that kind of Blind Faith though.
- 26:33That ignores all of reality, I have actually seen that before
- 26:37in other sources, there's a name.
- 26:40I think it's an eight. Our magazine article from 1999,
- 26:44where Scott see Todd was reacting in the article to a
- 26:49creation/evolution debate that had just happened what nearby,
- 26:52where he was. And so he was given an analysis
- 26:56of the debate. And at the end of his article,
- 26:58Scott, see Todd The evolutionary biologist, I assumed he was, he
- 27:03literally wrote that, even if all of the data in reality
- 27:07supported, the idea of intelligent design that such a
- 27:10hypothesis. Would be excluded from science
- 27:13because it's not a naturalistic explanation of Origins.
- 27:18And so, when I think about Aaron Roz claim that Christians, you
- 27:23know, they just have faith. That something is true.
- 27:25Even if all the evidence goes against it, we have in writing
- 27:29evolutionists teaching that very thing about Evolution and their
- 27:33rejection of intelligent design. And therefore creationism is
- 27:36that well, you know, even if all the evidence supports
- 27:39intelligent design and or creation, ISM, you know, that's
- 27:42not allowed to be a conclusion. You come to because it's not a
- 27:46naturalistic explanation of Origins.
- 27:49I just thank, you know, if I tried to do that or if a
- 27:52Christian apologist tried doing that saying, well, even if all
- 27:55the evidence, in reality, supports atheism, Evolution
- 27:59billions of years, well, such a conclusion is such a hypothesis
- 28:04is not allowed to become too because it's not a super
- 28:06naturalistic explanation of Origins.
- 28:09If I did that the atheist community Would be up in arms
- 28:12and saying that that's illegitimate.
- 28:14And you can't do that. And, you know, you're a horrible
- 28:17person for doing that. But yet when their own people do
- 28:20it, we don't hear anything from that camp.
- 28:25Right? Which to me is really weird
- 28:28because it's basically, you know, if it's good for the goose
- 28:32is good for the gander. I mean, you know, if you're
- 28:36going to allow yourself to say, yeah, we can just dismiss all of
- 28:39reality. If it doesn't conform to our
- 28:40worldview, I don't see why Christians would be not allowed
- 28:44to have the same luxury, you know what I mean?
- 28:47Yeah, and that, by the way, that magic Sky daddy thing, that's
- 28:51pretty much a 100% correlation between it.
- 28:54If somebody uses that word and that they're us, you know, one
- 28:57of those rookie new be angry, atheists types.
- 29:03You ain't gonna have any sophisticated APS using that
- 29:05word, hope. I hope not because it doesn't
- 29:10quite fit, but Maybe you can answer this since you brought it
- 29:17up a couple of times you talking about the new be atheist being
- 29:20angry, is that traditionally or normally what?
- 29:23It's like being an atheist. When you first become one are
- 29:27such people usually that angry against Christianity or religion
- 29:31and that vocal about it. Usually not always I guess I
- 29:37certainly was like that, I guess.
- 29:41Yeah. So it's pretty normal from what
- 29:42you've seen then on the internet and the world.
- 29:45Yeah. And being very anti-religious so
- 29:48they'll like like, you know, all these 80s organizations.
- 29:52They'll Be the like freak out if somebody like, some Christiane
- 29:58puts up a cross on government property or something because
- 30:01it's unconstitutional, but hey, you know, they're not and
- 30:05they're just like being keyboard Warriors about the, they the 80s
- 30:08II just being like keyboard Warriors about it and all this
- 30:11outrage about a cross. But then, you know, when there's
- 30:16all these human rights disasters and other parts of the world,
- 30:19they're they're not concerned about that stuff.
- 30:22Right, who cares. If you're wearing a cross on
- 30:25your shirt, as long as you're freeing me from the rubble and
- 30:28giving me clean clothes, and food after, you know, this
- 30:32horrible thing just happened. Yeah, I think you care about the
- 30:35cross of that point. Of course, we could be because
- 30:40you're reduced to your most basic survival instincts and
- 30:42extreme situations like that. Although I'm not sure how I
- 30:47would react to being in that situation because often times I
- 30:51find myself being very calm and level-headed in scenarios where
- 30:55normal people for start freaking out or panicking.
- 30:57So I don't know how I would do it.
- 31:00That's scenario. So Point number three, you made
- 31:04in your article was about how a lot of times, a lot of Internet
- 31:08atheists will use words like rational and logical to describe
- 31:12themselves, but they don't actually the terms.
- 31:14Don't actually prove them to be any of those things and that you
- 31:18compare them to a placebo and how these placebos ultimately
- 31:23made. These people the opposite of a
- 31:26free thinker. Is there like a specific example
- 31:29or two that you've seen from your?
- 31:31Brethren in The Atheist community of this like where
- 31:34they claim to be rational and logical but then when they were
- 31:37pressed they couldn't defend anything they said with
- 31:40rationality or logic. So I mean sorry, I keep bringing
- 31:44up Aaron Ross. Just I hate him above all the
- 31:46aps. He uses those words constantly
- 31:49but then he admittedly doesn't care about philosophy or use
- 31:53philosophy. Which is looks like he does he's
- 31:55not even familiar with like what rational thought is and
- 32:00following inference rules. Stuff.
- 32:02All he does is scream scream at Kristen's and youth.
- 32:06Those words when he doesn't even know what those words mean,
- 32:08pretty much. Well, I do know that when you
- 32:11are angry. It is harder to think,
- 32:13rationally and logically but yeah I guess he just I guess he
- 32:17likes the anger feeling. It's the only thing I can think
- 32:20of I thought you'd think for him at some point the anger would
- 32:25subside and more rational logical.
- 32:28You know things would kick into his brain and he'd be like Oh
- 32:31I'm I'm sorry for the way I treated you guys in the past
- 32:35your worldview, still horribly wrong but but I shouldn't have
- 32:37treated you that way you'd think.
- 32:39After all these years, he would get to that point.
- 32:43It's those science, E-Type atheist ones to that they're
- 32:47using those. They use those words a lot, but
- 32:49they're all they can, like, do is whack off to science and
- 32:53worship science, and when they don't actually know any
- 32:56philosophy. So number for you, talked about
- 33:02How a lot of atheists will get angry with those who disagree
- 33:05with them - resulting in behaviors like shouting you down
- 33:11or swearing that you profusely or walking away from the
- 33:14discussion. And basically here as we can see
- 33:17on screen you point out how anger happens in situations
- 33:21where they don't feel in control.
- 33:22And so basically they are flashing out as their way of
- 33:26trying to get control back. Is there any examples other than
- 33:31Aaron Rod that you can point to of this in action?
- 33:36Well, I mean, the first thing that comes to mind is like
- 33:40atheist screaming at Street Preachers.
- 33:42I guess without actually engaging with their saying,
- 33:45maybe. But, I mean, this is just all so
- 33:48right. Like in debates, you know,
- 33:50atheist do a lot of debates on the internet.
- 33:53Yeah. And it gets down to like often
- 33:57just them interrupting the opponent and stuff.
- 34:01Yeah, when Brett comes in later after I opened up the room.
- 34:04I'm sure he has. Plenty of fun stories about
- 34:06that. Thank yous.
- 34:08Have harassed him really bad? I know I remember I remember
- 34:13back when I first met him a couple of years ago over the
- 34:15internet and how he would start up you know channels on like
- 34:18huge tube and bit shoot and whatnot and it seemed like no
- 34:21matter where he went. There was always a couple of
- 34:24atheist trolls in the comment sections of his videos just
- 34:27saying, you know, the worst most horrible things or False things
- 34:31and like, they just follow him around like a sick, puppy.
- 34:34I just don't get it. Yeah.
- 34:38I mean, you have to be well then again I guess I should get it
- 34:41because there was one guy who did the same thing to me years
- 34:44ago when I was starting out as a YouTuber in my 2017 18 and I was
- 34:50starting to put out the creation versus Evolution responding to
- 34:53atheist, YouTuber content. I did forget, what is user name
- 34:56was? I think it was Scott something
- 34:59he would just comment on every single one of my videos.
- 35:02I mean, at the time, my old YouTube channel had like several
- 35:05hundred videos on it and he Commented on Mike half of them.
- 35:10He was my most dedicated follower just and the comments
- 35:13were usually the same about how stupid and silly I am and ad
- 35:17hominem attacks and whatnot. And then what I made the jump
- 35:21from YouTube to making bit shoot my primary and I left posting to
- 35:24YouTube for four years. He actually followed me the
- 35:27bitch shoot and started doing the same thing on all my videos.
- 35:30There for like a year and a half until I guess, eventually he got
- 35:34bored and decided to leave. But yeah, that guy was a lot.
- 35:38The pz, axon watching your content or was he just a minute
- 35:43of it and then commenting, I would say, most of the time, it
- 35:46was probably the latter. There were a couple times where
- 35:49his comments indicated, he watched more than a minute.
- 35:52But yeah, he just did he just had it out for me, like his like
- 35:56my existence. Just bothered him so much and
- 36:00me, you know, disproving or dissenting from the his
- 36:03worldview in my videos. Even if I was responding to
- 36:07someone else and just Just triggered him so much he just
- 36:10couldn't leave me alone until he got bored after like two and a
- 36:13half years of doing this. So, yeah, I can, I can relate to
- 36:18Brett in that regard. Now, number five is actually
- 36:23funny because I've encountered this, like, within the last
- 36:26week, actually, I think it happened on on Twitter or some
- 36:31other site know. I think it happened on gab
- 36:33recently with one other. One of my videos you point out.
- 36:37Number five, how a lot of atheists will post memes or
- 36:40quotes with like their favorite atheists.
- 36:42Like Dillahunty Aaron raw, Richard Dawkins Etc and that
- 36:48basically they act like they've made a point by Sharing a quote
- 36:52from someone they worship them. They worship The Atheist
- 36:55leaders, like their gods. Yeah, that that is definitely
- 37:01the way they behave, but why do you think they do this?
- 37:06Why do you think that? They feel like they can post a
- 37:09quote from these guys and act like an argument has been made?
- 37:15And why do you think that they are unwilling to master the
- 37:19arguments themselves so that when they're pressed about About
- 37:21it. They can actually give a
- 37:22coherent response. Well, they're bully their belief
- 37:27that they think that their arguments are good.
- 37:29They actually think that their arguments are good.
- 37:30So then that belief is getting reinforced by the fellow
- 37:34atheists that come along in the in social media and are like
- 37:38backing up what they're saying and stuff.
- 37:40And then you have the atheist leaders saying the same dumb
- 37:42shit. Oh boy, but leaders following
- 37:47the sheep, that ain't good but I recently just made an Instagram
- 37:52account and I wouldn't be able to think of a specific example
- 37:56without looking. But there's this phenomenon on
- 38:00Instagram where they're putting all these quotes by like
- 38:03philosophers and atheist. And when you break down the
- 38:06quote, it's actually just total gibberish.
- 38:08That doesn't even mean anything, so I can think of one one of
- 38:12them said. Philosophy, you know, desires to
- 38:16something something. I don't remember exactly what it
- 38:18was, but I point out philosophy. Philosophy is just like a system
- 38:23of, you know, rational thought philosophy itself doesn't think
- 38:26of anything. It doesn't have desires hiring
- 38:28his and it had. So the quote was philosophy
- 38:31desire. Something something it's like,
- 38:32philosophy doesn't have any desires.
- 38:34What does that even mean? It's just gibberish but you have
- 38:37like, all these atheists Harding, you know, Harding, it
- 38:40and reposting. It's so they're not even
- 38:43thinking about About what they're saying, but they think
- 38:45that the quote sounds wise or something.
- 38:48There's like, there's like dozens of examples of that I
- 38:50came across. I just can't think of specific
- 38:52examples. That's okay.
- 38:54But yeah, that kind of reminds me of all the people who defend
- 38:58the ideology of Islam at all costs.
- 39:00Even when Muslim jihadis, you know, go on a killing spree and
- 39:05that's something that David would the Christian apologist
- 39:08and YouTuber is pointed out for years, is that ideologies are
- 39:12not people. They don't have rights.
- 39:14You know they're not Beyond criticism and yet it seems like
- 39:17these atheists can't defend their ideologies when they're
- 39:20pushed. One thing though that I'm
- 39:24looking at on screen that maybe you could explain because I've
- 39:27never done it in a video and it would be fun to hear you.
- 39:30Explain why? Now aside from the fact that the
- 39:34quote, you're an atheist when it comes to Zeus atheist, just go
- 39:37one God further in response to that and besides the fact that
- 39:41it's a joke, if that was presented as a serious argument,
- 39:45why would that argument not work?
- 39:50Well, I don't even think it's an argument like yeah, it's not
- 39:54even an argument. Basic what what what about an
- 40:01argument does it lack that prevents it from being an
- 40:04argument just for infants and foreign students going on there?
- 40:10Like an inference to anything like a religious tenant or like
- 40:15what they're supposed to be concluding in the like, atheism,
- 40:18is rational or Christianity is irrational?
- 40:21From the fact. Of that quote.
- 40:24I don't get it. I don't even understand what
- 40:25they're trying to say. So just suggest the joke itself
- 40:31doesn't even make sense to you use if they're trying to use it
- 40:34as an argument it doesn't make sense and I don't even see the
- 40:37point in pointing it out I guess I don't know what they're even
- 40:39getting at. Well I guess the add the other
- 40:41trying to get at is that I'm an atheist in relation to Greek
- 40:45gods or Allah or whatever other gods from other religions you
- 40:50want to talk about. So I think the The claim is that
- 40:53well, you're an atheist in regards to those Gods because
- 40:56you don't believe they exist and we're no different than you.
- 40:59We just apply the same logic to your God.
- 41:01I think that's what their point is, but yeah, I think like, you
- 41:06just said, that doesn't strike me as like, in a serious
- 41:09argument. Just strikes me at best as a
- 41:12restatement of their position. So have you had any interactions
- 41:18with But our debates with well-known atheists or or do you
- 41:22have any debates with a nice at all?
- 41:24I did have a back and forth discussion with Shannon Q back
- 41:29in 2018. And then I think it was the
- 41:34after-show of that where I talked to Steve McRae and a
- 41:39couple other people and I've had back and forth video responses
- 41:42with Professor stick and vice try no.
- 41:45And Sir sick actually Vice dry know to bow out of his back and
- 41:51forth. Responses to me, after I busted
- 41:54him for deceptively editing, one of my videos to make me say
- 41:57something. I never said, he waved the white
- 42:01flag and claim that I was just, you know, like trolling him and
- 42:04just trying to, you know, agitate him.
- 42:06And, you know, basically, just ran off with a 30 second video.
- 42:11Uh-huh. Yes, I definitely consider
- 42:13Shannon q1 of the, you know, typical morons but she's like
- 42:17famous. And so the 22 of the things I've
- 42:22seen in is her debate with side, 10 Bruin, Kate, and Darth
- 42:25Dawkins and their presuppositionalist.
- 42:29So I really like presuppositionalist.
- 42:31I don't know how familiar you are with that
- 42:33presuppositionalist. Apologize.
- 42:35I have a basic idea but you can explain it a little if you want.
- 42:39But she seems like she doesn't even understand the argument,
- 42:42and you have a lot of famous atheists.
- 42:45Like debating, these pre suppers and they think they win and they
- 42:49If his audience thinks they twins but they don't even
- 42:51understand the argument. So actually presuppositionalist
- 42:55apologetics is what first separated me when I realized I
- 42:59was different than the fellow atheists because my fellow
- 43:01atheist because I realized that their responses were horrible
- 43:05and and they didn't realize it, but it's only their responses
- 43:08don't deal with the actual precept arguments.
- 43:11Is that what the problem was? Yeah.
- 43:14So like the priest, uh, business is a attacking pretty much any
- 43:18atheist. It's not well, versed with the
- 43:21argument. They pretty much destroy any
- 43:23atheist in debate that they come across because it's attacking.
- 43:27You have to have a lot of, you have to understand a lot of
- 43:30epistemology to deal with the argument.
- 43:33And um, So the, I mean, the majority of them don't have
- 43:40that. So they just like lose their
- 43:42getting destroyed and all these debates, and it's so bizarre how
- 43:45they think that they're winning. So, yeah.
- 43:50Actually, I'm a big fan of police officers on site and has
- 43:53recently, re-emerged on Twitter. He was gone for a long time, but
- 43:58yeah, I saw that too. Because I think I follow him to
- 44:00are on Twitter as well, but my, since you brought up
- 44:04presuppositionalist, it makes me think of my past.
- 44:07Experiences with people who identify themselves as that the
- 44:11main problem I have with presuppositionalist based on my
- 44:14experience with them is that a lot of the ones I've
- 44:17encountered, will basically throw out the idea that you need
- 44:21to appeal to evidence to prove any of the claims taught in the
- 44:25Bible. Which to me just doesn't make
- 44:28sense. Because like I mentioned
- 44:29earlier, there's passages in the Old and New Testament where God
- 44:32and Jesus both appeal to evidence to justify their
- 44:37Teachings, and their claims. I mean, Jesus, like I said
- 44:40earlier went so far as to say, hey, if you don't believe what
- 44:43I'm saying, believe what I'm saying?
- 44:46On the basis of the evidence, I provide you such as, you know,
- 44:50claiming to be God and then doing things only God can do as
- 44:54far as actions. Go like healing someone or
- 44:56performing some miracle that only God can do according to
- 45:00even my worst enemies. So yeah, when I look at that, it
- 45:04becomes clear to me that, you know, Yeah, every worldview has
- 45:09presuppositions that we believe in biblical worldview included,
- 45:12but when I read the Bible, I just don't get a
- 45:15presuppositionalist approach to apologetics at all.
- 45:18And yet somehow these guys do, and when you start pointing this
- 45:23stuff out to him, well, they tend to get very nasty towards
- 45:25people like me, huh? Um, Brett Keen asked in the
- 45:32comments asked, God is girl. Why it's so important to be
- 45:35honest and intellectual, huh? How does that benefit atheism?
- 45:38Well, in order to for two things?
- 45:41So, I think like, if you're honest and intellectual, that's
- 45:44going to help you reach true beliefs and then also to grow,
- 45:48it's like a growth thing when it comes to your positions, you
- 45:51know, your I think your position should always be like evolving
- 45:55and changing or you adding additional reasons for them at
- 45:58least. Hmm.
- 46:01And then Brett earlier said this most atheists, make the positive
- 46:07claim. We originated through natural
- 46:09processes. They do have burden of proof.
- 46:12That is actually a very good point, Brett.
- 46:14And that's something that I should probably reiterate more
- 46:17in future videos. They'll say a claim that we
- 46:20have, no, they have no burden of proof when it comes to you now
- 46:22proving that their worldviews true.
- 46:24But then, they do make these positive claims about how we
- 46:28evolved over deep time and It happened naturalistically with
- 46:32no intelligent intervention whatsoever, and then of course,
- 46:36there's problems with that. Mainly, the whole length of the
- 46:39process. I don't know if you've dealt
- 46:42with this before Godless, but one of the things that prevents
- 46:47me from believing in The evolutionary atheistic worldview
- 46:51is that the process of evolution is called a naturalistic
- 46:55process, but when you actually look at how long that process,
- 47:00Process takes, it takes so long to occur that nobody can see it
- 47:04happen in action, which ultimately means you can't
- 47:07record it as a historical event. And you can't set up an
- 47:10experiment to verify that this is indeed a naturalistic or
- 47:14naturally occurring process. So it's weird to me when things
- 47:19like Evolution, are claimed to be natural Nats things happen in
- 47:23the nature naturalistic processes, you know.
- 47:26But yet, we can't actually ever observe it happen in nature
- 47:29because it takes just Long. I mean, even the people in the
- 47:32Bible Before the Flood who were living to be 900 to 1,000 years
- 47:37old on average. Even if you accept that at face
- 47:40value, those people weren't living anywhere near long enough
- 47:44to ever come close to observing Evolution happen in action as a
- 47:49naturally occurring process. So, yeah.
- 47:52And that is part of the definition of science, right?
- 47:55Yeah, I mean, most atheists when they use the term science,
- 47:58they're usually referring to observational.
- 48:00Science. And one of the weird things that
- 48:02they do is that when I talk about the difference between
- 48:05observational and historical science, they claimed that
- 48:09creationists like me or just making up the whole category of
- 48:13historical science, even though the actual person who originated
- 48:17the term was an evolutionist in Scientific American who was
- 48:21actually defending Evolution and he claims that Evolution was a
- 48:25historical science before he proceeded to claim that it's in
- 48:30a Appropriate to appeal to observational science to prove a
- 48:34historical science. Of course this same guy.
- 48:38I think his name was Steven Mayer, I think is his name.
- 48:42He also said that Evolution was such a fact that we don't need
- 48:46to actually defend its truthfulness anymore.
- 48:49So he kind of was a little up and down in the way he viewed
- 48:53the whole Origins issue, but he was actually the one that came
- 48:57up with the term historical science but yet when people Like
- 49:00me, start using the term. We're being told by a lot of
- 49:03your brethren that, we're just making that up.
- 49:07I don't have much to say about Evolution because I don't know a
- 49:10lot of science, but it's like, if I was to debate Ken Ham, say
- 49:15and not bring any philosophy into it, just a beta Rivals,
- 49:18I'll get my ass kicked. Um, but one thing I do think is
- 49:23funny, is well, first of all Evolution abiogenesis or two
- 49:27different things, right? So and I don't think they have
- 49:30any Evidence for abiogenesis, right?
- 49:35Like if you put all the evolution stuff inside, but one
- 49:39thing that's funny is the point to Yuri, Miller experiment.
- 49:43Ya know what I'm talking about? Yes, I do actually have a whole
- 49:47video on it somewhere in my library.
- 49:49When they do that, the URI Miller Miller experiment is
- 49:53like, what do they get like DNA from RNA or some ridiculous
- 49:56thing in a lab under controlled conditions by Well with mines,
- 50:01right? So it's like that's actually
- 50:03showing that's like actually a evidence for intelligent design.
- 50:07Exactly. That's what Ox videos, If it
- 50:13took a took a controlled environment with intelligent
- 50:16people intervening in that environment to make something
- 50:19happen that can never prove a naturalistic origin of something
- 50:23that can only prove by definition intelligent design.
- 50:27And yet, I see every single one of the people Professor stick,
- 50:31Vice Rhino, sir, sick, Etc. They all appeal to stuff like
- 50:35that as evidence that life can come from non-life out in
- 50:39nature. And yet we don't see any such
- 50:42thing. I mean, it's not like these
- 50:43guys. Just set up cameras out in
- 50:45nature, recorded Life, coming from non-life and said, see
- 50:48everybody look it happens in nature.
- 50:51They literally had to intervene in an environment.
- 50:53They controlled even make it happen and yet somehow we're
- 50:57supposed to conclude based on that that.
- 50:59Oh, yeah, it happened. Out there in nature, in the wild
- 51:02and like the harshest possible climates on the earth.
- 51:05You can imagine like the hell Creek formation in Montana.
- 51:08Yeah, Al happened out there without us intervening in the
- 51:11situation. I mean, I believe in evolution,
- 51:16so I'm like being biased Against The Atheist here or whatever,
- 51:19but I'm just picking out stuff. I've seen them strong.
- 51:22So it was actually Brett Keen that introduced me to.
- 51:24This fact, there's a evolutionary biologist atheist,
- 51:29pz Myers. I don't know if you I know who
- 51:30he is but I've heard of him. Yeah, he says because of
- 51:35taxonomy, not only were our ancestors fish but we are still
- 51:39fish. So you just get this, just this
- 51:42complete Ridiculousness and then you have like these atheist fans
- 51:45of his that that will like back him up saying that and he'll be
- 51:49like, yeah, I'm a fish. It's like wow.
- 51:52What the fuck, what the fuck is the matter with you just stop
- 51:55it. Yeah, I cleaned out my gills
- 52:00this morning. It was tough.
- 52:03Believe me. But in seriousness though, After
- 52:08everything we've talked about. And despite the silliness of
- 52:11most of the atheist that are part of your community.
- 52:14Technically speaking, you're still an atheist who believes in
- 52:18an in evolution, a naturalistic explanation of Origins.
- 52:22So maybe at this point you could explain to the viewing audience
- 52:25as well as me why you are an atheist who believes in
- 52:29evolution and deep time despite the silliness of the people
- 52:33around you who try to advocate for it.
- 52:37Well, I mean, I just I'm just kind of taking science on
- 52:40Authority when they when they talk about Evolution because I
- 52:44don't know much about it. And then as far as being an
- 52:47atheist, I mean I can give my reasons for atheism, but I don't
- 52:50know if you want like for. Well, I don't know if you want
- 52:53how much you want me to get into that?
- 52:54But then also something that has absolutely nothing to do with me
- 52:58being anti atheist because I was anti atheist before this
- 53:02happened. But when I was offline for a
- 53:04year and a half, I was actually I was a really bad alcoholic.
- 53:06Can I was going to AA? And for a while, I actually did
- 53:10believe in a God, not the Christian God, but I haven't
- 53:13talked about that much because I mean there's been a few streams
- 53:16I talked about on, but I just assume most people are gonna
- 53:17think I'm trolling when I'm saying it.
- 53:19But I think, you know, with time and with the sincerity when I'm
- 53:23talking about it, people will be able to actually see.
- 53:26I am sincere and there's even moments now, or I still believe
- 53:29it, but I never, I don't think at all.
- 53:31It was irrational, belief, especially.
- 53:34I would believe these weird things about About coincidences
- 53:37in my life having meaning. And I think that was like that's
- 53:41it was actually irrational but there's days are I still believe
- 53:44it, but what happened was The I was like really desperate I was
- 53:50going to say and they got me too.
- 53:54They convinced me to actually try to pray and yeah and they
- 53:59did this by pointing out that my attitude towards prayer was like
- 54:04anything but scientific because I wasn't willing to try it and
- 54:08so they just said when you do it really mean it so I like got
- 54:11down on my knees and I prayed for God to give me the
- 54:14willingness to believe and then, you know, after that, even
- 54:17though I was really close. Ended my life like had
- 54:20incredible Transformations and fundamental personality changes
- 54:24which like these, like, I would have a difficult time explaining
- 54:29what the word spiritual means. But like spiritual experiences
- 54:33and stuff that would take, you know, people, a lifetime to
- 54:36accomplish. I accomplished in a very short
- 54:37amount of time by relying on this Todd.
- 54:42But I, yeah, I don't think that was rational and also then I can
- 54:44also get into my reasons why I am an atheist.
- 54:47I don't know if you have anything.
- 54:48Comment about that. All right, I do see you there.
- 54:51Brett. I just need to ask her about a
- 54:53couple of things and then I'm going to let you into.
- 54:57So the first thing I wanted to ask you about was you pointed
- 55:00out? Well, I guess talk with you
- 55:01about you pointed out regarding Evolution that you don't know
- 55:05that much about it. So you kind of just trust what
- 55:08you're being told by the scientific academic Community.
- 55:12Right. Yeah, one of the things that
- 55:15I've I've been thinking about making the video about is
- 55:19exactly that because whether it be a theistic evolutionist like
- 55:22yourself or Catholics or other Christians that believe in
- 55:26evolution and deep time, a common thing I see if a lot of
- 55:30them is they'll say well you know I don't really know enough
- 55:33about you know biology or the Sciences in order to you know
- 55:37really defend it in a technical or informational level and so
- 55:41I'm just going to you know trust these experts over here.
- 55:45I get both really sad. And really angry by that because
- 55:50I don't think people like you or other people who make these kind
- 55:54of claims. I don't think they're that
- 55:56stupid. I think they've been gas-lit and
- 55:59bring condition into thinking that they're too stupid.
- 56:02Essentially to be able to have access to this information and
- 56:07come to their own conclusions regarding whether or not
- 56:10Evolution deep time and big bang cosmology is true.
- 56:14I'm a firm believer that you can Can come to your own
- 56:17conclusions, on those topics, as long as you have access to
- 56:20information in your willing, to actually think through the
- 56:23matter because that's ultimately how I got to where I am today.
- 56:26As a young Earth, creationist follower of Jesus.
- 56:29I didn't come to this position because I was surrounded by
- 56:33people. Who told me it was true.
- 56:34I actually did the work of digging in my Bible and figuring
- 56:38out what it taught on Origins and actually analyzing
- 56:41dissenting views and comparing it to, you know, their own
- 56:44content, the Bible and I own life experiences Etc, and that's
- 56:49how I got to where I was today. I didn't know, I wasn't an
- 56:52expert in like, theology or biology or whatnot.
- 56:56But, you know, I had access to all the information thanks to
- 56:59the internet. And, you know, I know how to
- 57:01understand things and break it down to a way that most people
- 57:05can understand. And I know how to think through
- 57:06things on my own even though I'm not an expert, it's actually
- 57:10something I was commended for in college, was having a knowledge
- 57:14of religion that was really high.
- 57:16Hi, despite the fact that I didn't take a religion major at
- 57:20the college I was at. So I'm a firm believer that
- 57:25atheists. Like you are capable of actually
- 57:28accessing the information that supports at least allegedly
- 57:32supports evolutionary biology or a theistic Evolution.
- 57:36I believe you're capable of accessing that information.
- 57:40Reading it for yourself and processing it and coming to your
- 57:43own conclusions. I just think you've been gas-lit
- 57:46and Thinking you're not and I want you and everyone watching
- 57:50this video to know that you're not that stupid none of you are
- 57:54you just need access to information and you need to take
- 57:58the efforts to think things through and if that takes you
- 58:00like a couple months or takes you years because some people it
- 58:04takes years to process through all that information, I think
- 58:08you're all capable of doing it. And all these people out there
- 58:11who say that, unless you're an expert in evolutionary biology
- 58:14or unless you're like an expert in the science, Dances that are
- 58:17behind Evolution and a theistic Evolution.
- 58:20All those people telling you that they're wrong, they're
- 58:23lying to you, save gas let you guys for years.
- 58:27What do you think the motive is for them?
- 58:29Making it up? Some people don't know that
- 58:32they've been lied to and others are intentionally lying to other
- 58:36people. They are the ones that are
- 58:38intentionally, lying. What's their motive?
- 58:41Well, at the bottom line rejection of, God is their
- 58:44primary motive but what form that takes differs from person
- 58:47to person. And, but it's like a lot of
- 58:50people to say, well, that person did it because of this, and this
- 58:53person did it because of this. The only person I can
- 58:57definitively say something about motives is William Lane.
- 59:00Craig Because he's gone on the record as stating that you know
- 59:05you're not supposed to reinterpret the Bible in light
- 59:07of the majority opinion of the scientific and academic
- 59:10Community. But then he goes on to do
- 59:12exactly that to justify interpreting the Bible the way
- 59:15he does so he can justify his old Earth creationism beliefs.
- 59:19That's a guy who literally knows better has said so publicly and
- 59:23yet does what he does. Anyway, someone like that has
- 59:26made his motives clear and I can say definitive thing.
- 59:31About him. But there are a lot of people
- 59:34who do not have Sinister motives.
- 59:36There are a lot of people who believe in evolution billions of
- 59:39years because that's all they've ever been taught.
- 59:42I mean, I wasn't exposed to what the Bible taught about Origins,
- 59:47mainly young Earth. Creationism, I wasn't exposed to
- 59:49that until my mid-20s, you know, by then I had gone through the
- 59:53entire academic system. I had my college degree, I had
- 59:57only been exposed to evolutionary atheistic, Old
- 1:00:01Earth, creationist thick material.
- 1:00:02So I was never, I could never, I never grew up, knowing about
- 1:00:07young Earth. Creationism, I didn't even know
- 1:00:08what it really was or taught until I saw the bill and I can't
- 1:00:12ham debate in 2014. So is there a is there a
- 1:00:19question you were going to ask me before I finish that little
- 1:00:22monologue? No, no.
- 1:00:24I mean, I just, I don't have much interest in a bit
- 1:00:27interested me. You know, I'd be willing to look
- 1:00:29at this stuff. I just, it's just not important
- 1:00:31to me, I guess. Yeah, that's another factor to
- 1:00:36is that having access to information alone is not enough.
- 1:00:40You have to really want to dig deep and do something to really
- 1:00:44understand it. And for me because I have high
- 1:00:47functioning autism and I have an insane ability to hyper-focus on
- 1:00:51something. It was easy for me to be able
- 1:00:53to, you know, sit down and take the time in the Years necessary
- 1:00:57to sift through information and, you know, come to my own
- 1:01:00conclusions. I had the drive to do.
- 1:01:02Do that. Just because of who I am and how
- 1:01:05God made. I mean, I can't ask you one
- 1:01:07question. So one thing I just take is
- 1:01:09being totally incompatible with. I mean, I don't really want to
- 1:01:13talk about Evolution for long, but we can, I guess one
- 1:01:15question. It just seems to be completely
- 1:01:19incompatible with young Earth. Creationism is like the the
- 1:01:23existence of Neanderthals, and the fact that humans interbred
- 1:01:27with neanderthals, and we have fossils of people that were half
- 1:01:30me, underdahl and half human. What do you think about that?
- 1:01:35Well, I have never done a deep video talking about that but my
- 1:01:39initial gut reaction based off of what I do know is that the
- 1:01:44under tall's were humans for all intents and purposes and the
- 1:01:47fact that they could interbreed so to speak that kind of proves
- 1:01:51that they're in the same family they're humans.
- 1:01:55So you think they descended from Adam?
- 1:01:58Ultimately yes I mean I couldn't give you like a specific
- 1:02:01narrative that explains exactly how that And But ultimately
- 1:02:06based off of what the Bible says.
- 1:02:08I conclude that all people on Earth today who exist as well as
- 1:02:14the people who existed up. Until 4500 years ago, they all
- 1:02:18descend from the eight people who were on Noah's Ark during
- 1:02:21the flood of Noah 4,500 years ago.
- 1:02:24And those eight people descended from Adam and Eve according to
- 1:02:27the genealogies provided by the Bible that have numbers attached
- 1:02:31to them. So that's why I believe that.
- 1:02:35That we all come from Adam and Eve from a genealogical
- 1:02:38perspective. Okay, that's a good answer.
- 1:02:43I guess. Well I'm going to let in Brett
- 1:02:47because you know, Brett School. Hey did you are a Godless girl?
- 1:02:53Hi Brian. Glad you're here.
- 1:02:55If this is if this is the real Mark read please wave your
- 1:02:59hands. There you go.
- 1:03:02Okay. Just wanted to be sure of that.
- 1:03:05Yeah, real real not great place to end up.
- 1:03:09Sure. Sure.
- 1:03:11So now that now that we are all here just Brett or Mark have any
- 1:03:16questions for me or Godless. There's a couple different
- 1:03:20things. I won't go too long on the
- 1:03:22evolution but because another boards hell out of people but
- 1:03:26one of the things you guys brought up was what is the
- 1:03:28motivation of doing? This.
- 1:03:31Well, first of all, I belushin is a billion-dollar business.
- 1:03:34There's big money in it and that works really good for the
- 1:03:37materialistic folks out there. Number two, if you look into any
- 1:03:44of the stuff, have them, do a scientist who have went against
- 1:03:48it, they've lost their jobs. They've been discredited,
- 1:03:51they've been attacked. So it cost people their lives,
- 1:03:54their careers. That's one of the reasons why
- 1:03:56it's such a important thing having to do.
- 1:04:00This was the second DLo I had asked you out here.
- 1:04:04I said, why is it so important to be honest?
- 1:04:07And intellectual? How does this benefit atheism
- 1:04:10and you gave a good answer Godless girl, but atheists have
- 1:04:13always declared themselves as representing themself
- 1:04:16individualism, right. So if Aaron raw gets up on a
- 1:04:20camera and he crashes and burns or Matt Dillahunty makes himself
- 1:04:24look like a funky monkey for the millionth time.
- 1:04:27Why would you care? Why does it matter?
- 1:04:30Of these. These two clowns show any kind
- 1:04:33of advancement in their arguments.
- 1:04:37I'd like to have a crack at those questions.
- 1:04:39If you allow Brett, the idea that it's a billion-dollar
- 1:04:45business hasn't really got anything to do with the truth or
- 1:04:48falsity of it. The same argument is used by
- 1:04:51flat-earthers to sort of say, hey, NASA is a billion-dollar
- 1:04:54business, you know, Aeronautics and Space.
- 1:04:56Travel is a billion-dollar business or even more, so it
- 1:04:58can't be true. You know, one thing has nothing
- 1:05:03to do with the other automotive industry is a billion-dollar
- 1:05:06business. It doesn't Internal combustion
- 1:05:08isn't true. I think that's, you know, sort
- 1:05:13of a very, very bad argument that just because a business,
- 1:05:18something is worth a lot, then it can't be true.
- 1:05:21People have said that though, he was just asking because I asked
- 1:05:24earlier, what is the motive for them lying?
- 1:05:26I had right, right? It's false, but I think that's a
- 1:05:29motive. I think that that's, that's sort
- 1:05:31of a, a consequence of it being true rather than a motivation to
- 1:05:36lie. Why?
- 1:05:37Because if there was another thing happening, there would
- 1:05:41still be scientific research into that.
- 1:05:43Other thing that is happening. I mean, scientific research
- 1:05:46wouldn't stop. It would just be about something
- 1:05:49else, whatever that thing that they found evidence of is.
- 1:05:54And people lose jobs, not because they go again, just
- 1:05:58because they go against Evolution.
- 1:05:59It's because generally, they will fail to back up their
- 1:06:02hypotheses and things like that. They don't work within the
- 1:06:06scientific method. I have three books behind me,
- 1:06:10the slaughter, the dissident series.
- 1:06:12Providing a lot of documentation that what you just said is false
- 1:06:17people. Do get fired from their jobs or
- 1:06:20kicked out of school, or even attempted to be denied their
- 1:06:23Science degrees or whatever other degrees that they're
- 1:06:25trying to earn based on their descent from The evolutionary
- 1:06:29atheistic worldview. And Brett is right, there is a
- 1:06:32lot of money to be gained from saying that evolution is true or
- 1:06:36that there's a evidence supporting it because a lot of
- 1:06:38the grants that come into these universities are based on.
- 1:06:42Well, someone found evidence supporting Evolutions
- 1:06:44truthfulness. So my question to you would be
- 1:06:48if it's not true that people get fired from their jobs, simply
- 1:06:52for dissenting From Evolution. Then, why do we actually see
- 1:06:56this documented in history? Yes, so the ones that I've seen
- 1:07:00personally, when people say hey they were fired for not backing
- 1:07:04up Evolution or going against evolution.
- 1:07:07Actual papers that they've written haven't been supported
- 1:07:11by science and the conclusions that they've reached haven't
- 1:07:15been merited by the work that they've done.
- 1:07:18They've introduced bias into the papers, or they have sort of
- 1:07:22Taken research out of context. The amount of times that I've
- 1:07:26seen papers that come in that have taken, other research out
- 1:07:31of context and misrepresented, those other papers.
- 1:07:34And yes, that will get you a black against your name in
- 1:07:38Academia, not because you're going against the status quo.
- 1:07:41But rather because you're misrepresenting other people's
- 1:07:44work and it happens a lot and not just to sort of religious
- 1:07:51people, it happens to people that are supporting, say that
- 1:07:56want to prove their research and have misrepresented their
- 1:08:02studies. Look at look at Andrew
- 1:08:03Wakefield, for instance, I mean you know, being on the Spectrum
- 1:08:06I'm on Spectrum, you're aware of Andrew Wakefield.
- 1:08:09His has nothing to do with religion, tried to say that
- 1:08:13autism was caused by vaccines, and that, that got him
- 1:08:18blackballed, because it's not true.
- 1:08:21He misrepresented his research and that's been proven
- 1:08:24definitively. So I'll, he has absolutely.
- 1:08:29And his research was well, he has his, he had people
- 1:08:34complaining that he misrepresented, his research on
- 1:08:37Negation, they found exactly that.
- 1:08:38I mean, I can go into that, it might be a bit of a hot topic
- 1:08:41for the this, but the really interesting thing I want to
- 1:08:45address is what benefits atheism to have the truth.
- 1:08:50And it doesn't really, because atheism is just a position, a
- 1:08:54belief position on one subject, right?
- 1:08:58That's all it is. And philosophically speaking.
- 1:09:01That is all it is sort of. So the truth helps me Maintain
- 1:09:08that position short as it would, you know, the truth wouldn't
- 1:09:10help you maintain any other position.
- 1:09:12I don't think it benefits atheism.
- 1:09:14If you're talking about the larger atheism, the movement,
- 1:09:18the truth, always benefits people.
- 1:09:21Because with the truth, you have a better way of you have a more
- 1:09:26accurate evaluation of of reality and your choices are
- 1:09:30going to be better. So if you're talking about
- 1:09:33atheism the position well, I mean, it's a very malformed
- 1:09:38question. If you're talking about the
- 1:09:40atheistic movement, you yeah. Having the truth benefits.
- 1:09:44The decisions we make, because atheist, just aren't atheist.
- 1:09:48We also a secular humanists and believe in other things as well,
- 1:09:53so having the, the truth helps us make decisions about the
- 1:09:57world. Well, one of the other things I
- 1:10:00want to bring up to and not just about the scientist issue, but
- 1:10:04whenever it comes from materialism and money, I have
- 1:10:08noticed because I've been doing social media for a very, very
- 1:10:11long time. That atheists were very calm and
- 1:10:15very chill. They were more into the kind of
- 1:10:17discussions Godless was talking about what she actually
- 1:10:20endorses. She wants the rational
- 1:10:23intellectual discussion, but I noticed when social media
- 1:10:26started offering Partnerships and money and the ability to
- 1:10:30make t-shirts and and just sell sell sell and build products
- 1:10:35atheist, basically one of the Build a business out of
- 1:10:39aggressively going after the god concept, as well as religious
- 1:10:42people. If you do a video where you're
- 1:10:45insulting PTR, Brett Keen or any number a theist out there and
- 1:10:50your monetize, you're going to make a lot of money.
- 1:10:52So I don't think it's really so much about the truth, your
- 1:10:55facts. It's about clicks reviews.
- 1:10:59God bless you have something to comment on that.
- 1:11:03Um well yeah so like Matt Dillahunty for example.
- 1:11:08I know that he says a lot of stuff that he knows actually
- 1:11:12doesn't like arguments don't actually work and stuff or he'll
- 1:11:15like use fallacious reasoning that he just knows.
- 1:11:18He know he's aware that it's fallacious because he's been in
- 1:11:21these debates for so long but he knows his his audience won't
- 1:11:25pick up on it. So that's really the science,
- 1:11:29but Madeline. He's like basically a
- 1:11:30millionaire by now. I mean I think I was I don't
- 1:11:32know if the stuff I was looking at it was network is accurate
- 1:11:35but it is like Enterprise is built upon dishonesty now or
- 1:11:40like I could give the random example of Sam Harris has a
- 1:11:44degree in philosophy. So he knows perfectly well that
- 1:11:48when he writes a book The claiming that he has like a
- 1:11:52science can get us to objective morality.
- 1:11:56He knows perfectly well that he can't escape.
- 1:11:58That is a problem. But his his atheist audience,
- 1:12:01he's going to make millions of dollars off this book, which is
- 1:12:04dishonest and his atheist audience is too stupid to pick
- 1:12:07up on it because they don't know.
- 1:12:08Any philosophy even though he has a degree in philosophy.
- 1:12:10He knows perfectly well, doesn't work.
- 1:12:15Well is right about just like a chime in.
- 1:12:18Yes, is right? It is right, though about
- 1:12:21atheists on the internet, basically making content
- 1:12:24attacking Christians like myself and him and others for money
- 1:12:27because a lot of the ones who do it Well, they do have like
- 1:12:31100,000 200,000 hundreds of thousands of Subs like on
- 1:12:34YouTube, for example and their videos will get anywhere from
- 1:12:37like 80,000 to like hundreds of thousands maybe even a million
- 1:12:41plus views. And if their channels are
- 1:12:43monetized, they actually do make quite a bit of money from Google
- 1:12:47off of that. So, Brett is right, that there
- 1:12:50is definitely a money motivation because the money does exist and
- 1:12:54it does flow from their content that they make on you.
- 1:12:57You can also tell from Oracle practices of non-believers.
- 1:13:02Like I said, I've been around in social media.
- 1:13:04They were calm, they were more till there were.
- 1:13:06Plenty of chat social media sites were atheists and
- 1:13:10religious people got along, just fine and discussed, and debated
- 1:13:14things aren't an intellectual honest level, like, what Godless
- 1:13:19wants to do, and what she's tried to do.
- 1:13:21But now, they get rewarded. And remember, do you notice
- 1:13:25also? It's the big mouse.
- 1:13:27It seemed to be getting the most views.
- 1:13:28They know that the More clownish and crazy.
- 1:13:31They act the more attention they get as opposed to the more calm
- 1:13:36chill types. Okay.
- 1:13:37His name out of it, then they know that one to spend.
- 1:13:41Well, I'd like to just sort of interject if you don't mind.
- 1:13:44Just for one second and sort of say that the sword Cuts both
- 1:13:48ways, that also you have a lot of Christians attacking atheists
- 1:13:52a lot, and they get a lot of views as well, you know, sort of
- 1:13:57so did the antics of Hope. Even with wacken atheist has
- 1:14:01given him a lot of attention, you know, in a lot of views and
- 1:14:04a lot of money coming in because I think he's got over 200,000
- 1:14:07subscribers as well. So yeah, he does.
- 1:14:10Yeah. So there are, you know, I think
- 1:14:12that's sort Cuts both ways and I think there are moderate sort
- 1:14:15of, you know, reasonable atheists out there like Godless
- 1:14:18girl and like these people that don't engage in that kind of
- 1:14:23attack politics kind of thing but that you know I won't I I
- 1:14:29certainly won't argue that there are those those people out there
- 1:14:32and, you know, they may be doing very well, but, but that sort
- 1:14:38goes both ways. And there are, there are
- 1:14:40believers out there who are also sort of doing the attack stuff
- 1:14:43against atheists, for no good reason.
- 1:14:45I can see a lot of it to me. Sounds like theater, you know,
- 1:14:49both sides are sort of engaging in this sort of.
- 1:14:53Well, how is it described to be like a WWE or whatever wrestling
- 1:14:56match kind of thing where they're both sort of?
- 1:14:59Jumping up and down and yelling and saying, I'll Crush you and,
- 1:15:02you know, it's all to me, it's just the actrix.
- 1:15:04It's, you know, I don't take it seriously, but it is a point.
- 1:15:09I definitely think that there are those atheists out there.
- 1:15:12Sure. As you well know, as you all
- 1:15:16know, mr. Kent ogun was incarcerated for a
- 1:15:19while where he wasn't even on social media.
- 1:15:22The internet do wacken atheist whack.
- 1:15:25An atheist was a later on deal that he decided to do.
- 1:15:29Watch his older stuff. He sees a calm guy.
- 1:15:32You know I watched some videos while he was in prison by
- 1:15:36atheists were they made animations of him getting raped
- 1:15:40in prison and these are the tablets in the content.
- 1:15:43Now imagine you get out after several years of being in prison
- 1:15:47you come out you see all these as horrific videos and things
- 1:15:51like that. I'm surprised he hasn't done
- 1:15:53worse than wacken atheists SpongeBob and goofing around and
- 1:15:57give him that smile. Well that's sort of a to quote
- 1:16:01Quay fallacy, sort of, you know, two wrongs don't make a right.
- 1:16:06That that isn't really what we're after we're at.
- 1:16:09Were after, maybe sort of coming to the table with some
- 1:16:15reasonable logical views and sort of saying, well, I'm not
- 1:16:19going to be horrible to you just because you're horrible to me
- 1:16:23because that just escalates things.
- 1:16:25I remember recently that some guy called Praise.
- 1:16:28I am, he made a video Of my face, superimposed on a band in,
- 1:16:33you know, jumping around and doing this.
- 1:16:35And he found it incredibly amusing.
- 1:16:36But, and I mean, I just laughed it off, I just went, oh, well,
- 1:16:39you know, it's sort of what you expect from some of the, more
- 1:16:43theatrical Christians out there. But, you know, I could, I could
- 1:16:47sort of point out instances where people have made videos,
- 1:16:50YouTube, mocking, and deriding me as well.
- 1:16:53And I'm nobody, you know, I'm, I've got no following, I'm not
- 1:16:56anybody in the scene, I'm just a random.
- 1:16:59Guy, you know, and it's just yeah, I didn't really do
- 1:17:02anything to Warrant that attack but you know, I must admit it
- 1:17:08was kind of funny, so I guess there's that.
- 1:17:10But, you know, there are instances of it going the other
- 1:17:14way as well. I think that maybe we've got to
- 1:17:18stop taking revenge for the things, you know, sort of done
- 1:17:21to us and sort of start being authentic and genuine rather
- 1:17:26than sort of going bald, you mocked me.
- 1:17:28I'm going to Mock You and I Nicole all Christians.
- 1:17:30This and look, I call it out. When people are saying, hey, all
- 1:17:34Christians are this. I will say, hey, not all
- 1:17:36Christians are the same. There's a lot of different
- 1:17:38types. There's this, you know, it's a
- 1:17:40myriad of people. You can't lump everybody into
- 1:17:43one category kind of thing, but and and The Stereotype of the
- 1:17:48angry atheist, it kind of exists.
- 1:17:50And there's a number of reasons why that that exists.
- 1:17:53But the The Stereotype of the vengeful, hate hate-filled
- 1:17:58Christian. Exists as well.
- 1:18:00And I think there's good reason for that, Steven Anderson,
- 1:18:03that's why that exist are out there, right?
- 1:18:10I don't know if you were watching the beginning of the
- 1:18:12stream, about the poll from The Atheist Experience.
- 1:18:15Viewers that only 2% of them, think they have a burden to
- 1:18:19approve to defend their atheism. What do you think so?
- 1:18:24Yeah, so I get when Matt's coming from, I sort of see that.
- 1:18:29If you're sort of and let's use a termite, I kind of dislike it,
- 1:18:32but I lack theist, right? So this this burden of proof is
- 1:18:37based upon making a claim that there is no God.
- 1:18:39And that's one that I take on, personally, I'm an atheist under
- 1:18:43the philosophy of religion, atheist definition, sort of in
- 1:18:49The Atheist Community, they're using atheist in a different
- 1:18:53way, it just means you do not believe a God exists rather than
- 1:18:58you believe. Leave that no God exists under
- 1:19:01that definition, you don't necessarily have a burden of
- 1:19:05proof, but in philosophy of religion you would more
- 1:19:09accurately call that a agnostic not an atheist.
- 1:19:13So, it depends on how you're using your definitions, but I
- 1:19:16think they're being like, so this is how I've cornered them
- 1:19:20is by asking them, do you believe that it's more likely
- 1:19:22than not? That, no gods exist.
- 1:19:24And they'll almost always admit when you phrase it like that,
- 1:19:27but they do hold that belief. So they actually do believe.
- 1:19:29No gods exist. That's like a positive belief
- 1:19:32but they don't want to claim it because they don't know how to
- 1:19:35defend it. Is it more likely than not?
- 1:19:38That no gods exist. That that's a difficult
- 1:19:45question. I don't know.
- 1:19:46When I was sort of more agnostic, I don't know how I
- 1:19:49would answer that because I don't know how I'd put a
- 1:19:51probability to a god existing, if I don't believe that a God
- 1:19:56exists. But so it's would be to see you.
- 1:19:59Or totally on the fence. And if you had to put your money
- 1:20:01somewhere, you just do a random Dole roll of the die.
- 1:20:05Never knowing know, because the default position is that we
- 1:20:09generally don't believe things until we have the evidence to
- 1:20:14support them and that goes for everybody.
- 1:20:16Not just not just you know, me or atheists or agnostics.
- 1:20:21So if somebody comes up to you and says you know I want a
- 1:20:27million dollars kind of thing. You would just if you didn't
- 1:20:30know them and you didn't know at all, you just go okay?
- 1:20:33And not you don't believe them but you don't believe that they
- 1:20:37haven't. It's just a work by name because
- 1:20:42week, I mean, right, backgrounds beliefs about people lying like
- 1:20:45How likely it is to win the lottery.
- 1:20:47But I think if you think that the default position is the
- 1:20:52correct, the default position of not believing that it's not the
- 1:20:57case. If you don't have evidence, yes.
- 1:20:59Then if you think that's the correct way to go, then you
- 1:21:01think that's the thing that's going to be more likely to get
- 1:21:04you true beliefs. Right.
- 1:21:06Well, I think that that is a Skeptics default position.
- 1:21:09I'm not sure about anybody else's default position, but
- 1:21:12it's definitely the Skeptics default position.
- 1:21:16Because if you are intellectually consistent, then
- 1:21:20then you would have to believe anything that anybody says to
- 1:21:23you without evidence, and I think that's a really bad way to
- 1:21:26go. So, yeah, I would And you just
- 1:21:30learn have to learn how to argue about making inductive
- 1:21:33inferences and stuff. Well I mean yeah but even if you
- 1:21:37think it's more likely that they are, God does not exist, you're
- 1:21:41still, not making a positive claim, you're still not claiming
- 1:21:45knowledge. So, when we're talking a burden
- 1:21:47of proof, we're talking about a knowledge claim, right?
- 1:21:50No, no. I look a lot of Christians won't
- 1:21:54claim that they know God exists. They just believe God exists.
- 1:21:57And the atheist is still going to ask those questions for us.
- 1:21:59Evidence even though they're not claiming to know it.
- 1:22:01Well, I can't know. I'm us why they believe it but
- 1:22:04I'm not going to demand say. They have a burden of proof if
- 1:22:07they just claim to believe it and I mean I can go on believing
- 1:22:10it doesn't doesn't worry me any. Yeah, I was going to say to wrap
- 1:22:15this up. Usually, when you believe that
- 1:22:19it's more likely that God doesn't exist, then he does
- 1:22:22exist. Or if you believe that it's more
- 1:22:25likely that God does exist, then he doesn't exist.
- 1:22:29Usually, that's because there's something tangible that you've
- 1:22:32observed in reality that causes you to go one way or the other.
- 1:22:37And so I think that's the point that Godless is trying to bring
- 1:22:40up with you. When she all your question, I
- 1:22:44was going to say to TT or yeah, unless because I know Godless
- 1:22:47has participated in an unbelievable amount of debates
- 1:22:51and discussions whether Discord her on her cell, our Channel,
- 1:22:55and also other people stuff I Godless you have repeat Eat
- 1:22:59idli, although atheists claim classically the lack of leaf and
- 1:23:03deities, do they not assert that reality.
- 1:23:07Dictates that everything including the universe and life
- 1:23:10itself, they make the positive claim that it all was a natural
- 1:23:14process by doing. So by completely, giving this
- 1:23:18other perception of reality and stating, the supernatural does
- 1:23:21not exist. Equals out to burden of proof.
- 1:23:27Yeah. Well that's another that's
- 1:23:28another thing is if you ask them to look do you think life came
- 1:23:31from? You know I got like some other
- 1:23:33life like a God they're going to say no and then it's like so are
- 1:23:36you agnostic about abiogenesis? Then we'll know they're going to
- 1:23:40say, they believe life came from non-life which is a positive
- 1:23:43position if they don't admit to that they're being dishonest.
- 1:23:46Well, I'm actually that that naturalism.
- 1:23:49Like I'm not a hard natural, like, I don't believe in
- 1:23:53naturalism. The philosophical thing, that is
- 1:23:57Supernatural things on those things outside of natural world
- 1:24:00can possibly exist. All we've seen is natural
- 1:24:04things. I only have evidence for natural
- 1:24:05things and to answer your question about before, if, if
- 1:24:09you're sort of saying that I have no evidence of a god
- 1:24:12existing that hasn't been demonstrated to me, that is
- 1:24:15fulfilling your burden of proof that sort of says.
- 1:24:18Well, you know, like you were talking about physical evidence
- 1:24:20or some sort of evidence that's enough to fulfill that.
- 1:24:25Well I don't Don't believe that because no evidence has been
- 1:24:29presented to me if you want to see that as a burden of proof
- 1:24:33that you have to prove that no evidence exists.
- 1:24:35I think that that's completely unrealistic.
- 1:24:38But to address naturalism for a second, I don't exclude
- 1:24:43Supernatural things but I've got no reason to believe that
- 1:24:46Supernatural things exist. So it's the lack of evidence for
- 1:24:50the supernatural. That is my I guess meeting my
- 1:24:53burden of proof, if you want to look at it like that but A very
- 1:24:57strange way to describe not having evidence as being
- 1:25:01evidence of something. It's very, very strange man.
- 1:25:05PPR may I throw something out for Mark, see what is viewers
- 1:25:09and something sure go ahead, we still got some time.
- 1:25:12So most most religious people that I've experienced as well as
- 1:25:17non-believers. Accept the common theory of the
- 1:25:19Big Bang, basically that there was a point where time and space
- 1:25:24and matter came into existence. So So would you not say that
- 1:25:28whatever started this was outside of time-space nature?
- 1:25:32Because nature doesn't create itself, isn't that by
- 1:25:35definition, the origin of the universe, big bang, a
- 1:25:38supernatural Association so that's sort of a misconception
- 1:25:45of exactly what the big bang is. So the Big Bang is the
- 1:25:50description of the rapid expansion of space-time from
- 1:25:55from the start. And we I've got a cable at one
- 1:25:58point, we kind of know because of this evidence that we have on
- 1:26:02cosmology that it used to be a singularity a point in space.
- 1:26:06That's very, very small and very dense.
- 1:26:09Insanely dense basically just insanely small and dense.
- 1:26:12However, however, we don't know the origins of the universe, we
- 1:26:17don't know where that came from. We can see backwards as far as
- 1:26:23one plank second, which is an infinitely small Out of time
- 1:26:27before where we sort of presume the origin would have been when
- 1:26:31we sort of say, hey, that's where the origin is.
- 1:26:34But we can't actually see back to that, that point, because
- 1:26:37physics kind of breaks down at that point when you start to get
- 1:26:41into singularities and you know, incredibly complex stuff, it
- 1:26:45just sort of breaks down. So the Big Bang isn't
- 1:26:49technically the origin of the universe.
- 1:26:51The Big Bang just describes the rapid expansion of the
- 1:26:54singularity from very, very Dance small state to the
- 1:27:01universe. As we see it at the moment.
- 1:27:04Well, I don't know, claiming that the nature and space and
- 1:27:08time itself came into existence. And if you don't have nature
- 1:27:13then you don't have the laws of nature.
- 1:27:15Therefore by definition a very definition of something that
- 1:27:18exists outside the laws of nature the universe by
- 1:27:21definition is super natural in origin.
- 1:27:25Yeah, if the law you said The laws of physics are breaking
- 1:27:28down at the Big Bang, so if, when that, so then like whatever
- 1:27:32state was Prior that like, is either breaking are transcending
- 1:27:36the laws of physics, which is Supernatural by definition, but
- 1:27:39I actually have to get going. So, thanks for having me on.
- 1:27:42Okay. I always wonder you Godless.
- 1:27:44I love your intellectual honesty.
- 1:27:46You keep rocking. Thanks, thanks.
- 1:27:49Thanks for joining. Yes, I physics is the
- 1:27:52description of the laws within our universe.
- 1:27:55Like I don't know. Cause I don't know what was
- 1:27:58around before. The Big Bang.
- 1:28:01I don't know, right? So if if they're, what is a
- 1:28:05larger Cosmos that has different laws of physics because physics
- 1:28:10just describe the way that physical interactions happen
- 1:28:13within our universe. There's the better laws of our
- 1:28:15universe. It may still be natural.
- 1:28:19There might just be different parameters and effects of
- 1:28:23physics happening. I don't know.
- 1:28:26I don't know if there's anything outside the universe.
- 1:28:29Like a larger Cosmos. I don't know whether because
- 1:28:33there's another and and bigger question is that if the universe
- 1:28:39expanding and from The Singularity created space time
- 1:28:43and time is just another dimension of space.
- 1:28:47If space-time was was sort of the origins, were the start of
- 1:28:53the universe, then if there was no time For the universe.
- 1:28:58What are we kind of talking about as before?
- 1:29:02Like there can't be a before if there's no time.
- 1:29:06So, it is quite possible that upon like when the singularity
- 1:29:12was condensed time is slowing, slowing, slowing, slowing until
- 1:29:17it is essentially, Eternal essentially.
- 1:29:21But we don't know, this is the problem.
- 1:29:23We can't see into that sauce. So, Multiverse theory that
- 1:29:28there's a lot of stuff out there.
- 1:29:30M-theory membrane theory is also a thing.
- 1:29:34There's a lot of different, you know, theories that we're
- 1:29:36currently. Are there really hypotheses that
- 1:29:38are currently playing with to find out what where the universe
- 1:29:43came from and what's outside of the universe if outside is even
- 1:29:48a concept. Well, I understand, Mark, that
- 1:29:52Yankee history on YouTube, have their own different
- 1:29:54interpretation of what the big bang.
- 1:29:57But if you guys don't mind this is from NASA themself.
- 1:30:00This is their website right here.
- 1:30:02Sure. See the big bang is how
- 1:30:04astronomers explain the way the universe began.
- 1:30:07It is the idea that the Universe began as just a single point,
- 1:30:11then expanded and struts to grow, as large as is well during
- 1:30:15the stretching or expansion process, the nature came into
- 1:30:20existence in space and time now because there was a moment in
- 1:30:24this where nature did not, It exists that it actually had to
- 1:30:28go through this process to be defined as universe.
- 1:30:32That means that there was no laws of nature, therefore, by
- 1:30:36definition Supernatural, Does this make sense ptor?
- 1:30:41See over there? Hope I'm not putting you to
- 1:30:42sleep, brother. I'm fine.
- 1:30:45I'm just typing out a message to someone but yeah, yeah, just
- 1:30:50because we don't understand what speed.
- 1:30:52It doesn't mean it's not natural.
- 1:30:54No, were in there. Did they say that the Big Bang
- 1:30:56Wasn't There Was An Origin point that was not natural or was not
- 1:31:00according to the laws of nature. I think you're sort of reading
- 1:31:04that into it, and that's not what it says, sort of.
- 1:31:09He is kind of reading into it a little bit but that's because
- 1:31:13the Big Bang Theory as you've described it.
- 1:31:15Much like Evolution only describes what happens.
- 1:31:18After a certain point, Evolution at least in the biological
- 1:31:22sense, only describes, what happens after that.
- 1:31:25First wife comes in to rise. That's and then, as you're
- 1:31:28saying, Big Bang, cosmology is what describes its describes,
- 1:31:32what happened after that, Singularity came into existence
- 1:31:36and correct. Yeah, right after it exploded.
- 1:31:39It basically looks bloated is a bad term at it.
- 1:31:42It's back a rapidly rapidly expanded or scratch rapid
- 1:31:46expansion. Yeah.
- 1:31:48So it only describes what happened after that point, but
- 1:31:51the issue that Brett's referring to is the origin of that point
- 1:31:55even existing in the first place.
- 1:31:57And that's the part where I think you're saying we don't
- 1:31:59know. There's another thing too.
- 1:32:02There's another thing here to TT or that, I that I get a chuckle
- 1:32:06out of I've heard a lot of non-believers like are All sigh
- 1:32:10damn. All this where they say no it
- 1:32:12was an expansion, it wasn't an explosion but I'm here on the
- 1:32:17NASA website the NASA side it says the explosion sounds like
- 1:32:23they need an editor according to Mark naivety.
- 1:32:25Yeah well I mean from from my understanding it was a rapid
- 1:32:31expansion sort of saw an explosion has a number of things
- 1:32:35where it suggests that there's there's Sort of matter, being
- 1:32:41thrown out kind of thing. It's just a less precise way of
- 1:32:46doing it. Perhaps they wrote it that way.
- 1:32:47So, people would understand sort of because a rapid expansion
- 1:32:53doesn't really give you the scope of how fast it's
- 1:32:55expanding. Like at the speed of light like
- 1:32:57300,000 meters per second kind of roughly.
- 1:33:01So they may have written it that way to appeal to, you know,
- 1:33:05people's understanding of commonplace things.
- 1:33:09If you say a rapid expansion sauce, it like somebody blowing
- 1:33:12up a balloon. No, no way.
- 1:33:13Faster than that. Like incredible faster than
- 1:33:16that. Well, fair enough know, you do
- 1:33:19obviously realize everybody that whenever they said that this
- 1:33:23happened, not only did it create this expansion, but it was also
- 1:33:27unbelievably hot and this is where things started to cool
- 1:33:31down in the universe and do all this.
- 1:33:34So, we've got set, extremely hot elements.
- 1:33:37So it makes sense that they would use words like explosion.
- 1:33:41It's only the only people that I have noticed.
- 1:33:44A seem to have an issue with that word explosion.
- 1:33:47Are some of the top atheist out there on YouTube?
- 1:33:52Well, I mean cosmologists sort of pointed out, as well.
- 1:33:55I'm sure Neil deGrasse Tyson pointed it out.
- 1:33:57At one point that it is a rapid expansion and not really an
- 1:34:01explosion. I'm sure he pointed out, but, I
- 1:34:05mean, I could find you some, some other sort of cosmologists
- 1:34:09who would sort of say the same thing.
- 1:34:11I mean, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong, I guess.
- 1:34:13But, you know, I think that explosion shh, Just sort of a
- 1:34:17destructive kind of thing where it wasn't destructive, it wasn't
- 1:34:23sort of matter, being a ejected, like, a bomb explodes, you know,
- 1:34:26it's basically destroys the whole lot of things by ejecting
- 1:34:30matter, you know, our into the, to the world and you know, that
- 1:34:36will destroy stuff by impact. I think that that's, I mean, you
- 1:34:40could say that you could say it's an explosion, but you'd be
- 1:34:43using a sort of word that I'm not 100% sure.
- 1:34:47It would be accurate, but let me see what I can find for you.
- 1:34:50So, while he's doing that, I just like to point out to Peter
- 1:34:53here, that Brett does not need to go to Kent hovind or a
- 1:34:57physicist, to understand the Big Bang cosmology concept.
- 1:35:01He just needs the internet and Wikipedia.
- 1:35:04Yeah. I mean, it's the informations
- 1:35:06all out through this, thousands of documentation.
- 1:35:09This isn't like, you know, some kind of complicated deal here.
- 1:35:13They, they pretty much simplify it for you even for a Year old
- 1:35:17to build understand because they believe the universe had a
- 1:35:20beginning and that nature came into existence in the laws.
- 1:35:24And before that there was no laws because what there was no
- 1:35:27nature, so natural, I think you're right.
- 1:35:34I think one thing by the way. Hello.
- 1:35:36Everybody? How's everybody doing?
- 1:35:37Hey, hello, everybody's doing all right?
- 1:35:41Yeah, yeah, that's good to hear. I'm doing.
- 1:35:45Okay, I'm doing okay, thank you. I just wanted to say, I think
- 1:35:48one thing, everybody can agree at least come to a commonality
- 1:35:52whether you believe in God or not, is the fact that we've made
- 1:35:55such incredible strides, in understanding the universe
- 1:35:58around us and how it actually understand actually.
- 1:36:01Works and functions and how all of those different functions
- 1:36:05group together and interact with one another even within the last
- 1:36:08hundred years, we've made such incredible strides towards that
- 1:36:12understanding. And I think that either
- 1:36:15believing in God or not, that's still facilitates a better
- 1:36:20understanding of whether it be creation, or cosmology or
- 1:36:24anything in between How the Universe came about, the beauty
- 1:36:28within it. I think that it's important for
- 1:36:31everybody to have Better understanding of that.
- 1:36:33I do agree that it is true. That there's been a lot of
- 1:36:37advancements made in the understanding of how this
- 1:36:40reality works when we observe it in action, where the
- 1:36:44disagreements come in is, how to interpret that and that's where
- 1:36:47worldviews kitchen your beliefs, your presuppositions, I guess,
- 1:36:52for lack of a better word. Your faith that influences how
- 1:36:57you interpret. Anything.
- 1:36:58I hate to, I hate to quote them. Because I don't like AIG, but
- 1:37:04AIG actually does have it right where they talk about how the
- 1:37:08lens that you view the world with determines, how you
- 1:37:11interpret the world. Basically, if you see, if you
- 1:37:14have a lens that says, a theistic Evolution, that's what
- 1:37:17you're going to see when you look at the world.
- 1:37:19If you have a lens that says you know, biblical creation you wear
- 1:37:22that when you observe the world, that's what you're going to see.
- 1:37:25So you can do, our one is going to get water water views on that
- 1:37:30explains the Susan, worldviews and how people interpret data,
- 1:37:34even though we're all looking at the same thing we'll ever, you
- 1:37:37are what a juror. What are your thoughts on that?
- 1:37:39The claim that everybody's been talking about lately?
- 1:37:42That's been real exciting where they're stating that rocks
- 1:37:47according to these different science websites.
- 1:37:49And for some reason and unbelievers don't like to get
- 1:37:52into a discussion about it. But they're stating that some
- 1:37:56kind of minerals and chemicals came out of a granite rock and
- 1:38:00that's how evolution. Started now it used to be event
- 1:38:04and waves. That used to be primordial ooze
- 1:38:07and now it's walk rocks that. Isn't that good?
- 1:38:12Yeah, that's like my Genesis. If I just could I just want to
- 1:38:15want to sort of push back against that idea.
- 1:38:17That evolution is atheistic. It's not.
- 1:38:19It's a, there's a, there's many people who are Christians,
- 1:38:24Muslims, Buddhists all kinds of different faiths doing work on
- 1:38:29evolution. In fact.
- 1:38:31Largest denomination of Christianity, the Catholic
- 1:38:34Church accepts evolution in, its sure.
- 1:38:37Yeah, I have a Catholic in my life room earlier who was
- 1:38:41pushing and endorsing for evolution only took about two or
- 1:38:45three questions of get him to finally, admit that he doesn't
- 1:38:48even really know what he's talking about on it.
- 1:38:51Well, that aside there's people like Francis Collins for
- 1:38:54instance who used to head up the Human Genome Project and he was
- 1:38:57a very varied about devout Christian and and he He sort of,
- 1:39:02you know, absolutely acknowledge the the the truth of evolution
- 1:39:07and sort of, you know, he'd been doing the Human Genome Project
- 1:39:11so that it's not just just an atheistic thing.
- 1:39:15I'm sorry, I really got to push back on that because it isn't
- 1:39:18just an atheistic thing. It's a, it's a scientific thing
- 1:39:22and and tons of people involved in science of all different
- 1:39:25religions. So it cannot be an atheistic
- 1:39:27thing. It just isn't.
- 1:39:28Why is really just folks? So though go along With that, go
- 1:39:32ahead ptor. And then I'll know is I was just
- 1:39:34going to say yes there's a lot of Christians that believe in
- 1:39:38evolution billions of years, and big bang cosmology, but Biblical
- 1:39:42history and church. History shows that there have
- 1:39:44been Christians compromising on what the Bible teaches
- 1:39:47throughout its entire existence. So it's not really that big of a
- 1:39:51surprise to me that there would be Christians out there.
- 1:39:54Who believe and teach things that are contrary to the
- 1:39:57scriptures, they claim to believe it's been happening, all
- 1:40:00of history. It's like Michael Phelps agree
- 1:40:03with scientific evidence. Which one do you believe First?
- 1:40:06Like if you've got irrefutable scientific evidence and they
- 1:40:09clearly conflict with what the scriptures say, which one do you
- 1:40:16believe? Now, I don't think I will ever
- 1:40:20come to this point because I don't think there's anything in
- 1:40:23reality that can support evolution due to the fact that
- 1:40:26it takes way too long to even be recorded or experimented on to
- 1:40:30verify. It's a Actually occurring
- 1:40:32process, but in your hypothetical scenario, I would
- 1:40:36have to go with what's observable and proven to be
- 1:40:38true. All right.
- 1:40:41Okay. Do you market?
- 1:40:43And you believe that it's objectively.
- 1:40:45True that humans evolved from rocks.
- 1:40:52So, evolved from Bronx is sort of a straw man of the
- 1:40:55abiogenesis position. I can't say that I believe in a
- 1:40:58bar, Genesis is a hypothesis at this point.
- 1:41:02I don't know where life came from.
- 1:41:06If you're saying, do I believe in evolution that Evolution
- 1:41:08explains the biodiversity of Life then.
- 1:41:11Yes. Absolutely.
- 1:41:12There's overwhelming evidence for it and I like talking about
- 1:41:16Evolution. I'm happy to go into it with you
- 1:41:19guys. So what what evidence do we have
- 1:41:21that? Yeah, Mommy coming from rocks.
- 1:41:25Okay, so I can man coming from rocks is a strawman position of
- 1:41:31the abiogenesis position. It's basically men came from
- 1:41:34chemicals and chemical biochemical reactions.
- 1:41:37Would be a more accurate way to say it, if you At all interested
- 1:41:41in accuracy but as I said and I'll repeat myself that I don't
- 1:41:46necessarily believe in abiogenesis that could be other
- 1:41:51explanations. There's panspermia is an
- 1:41:54explanation. There's other explanations of
- 1:41:56where humans came from or life came from rather I should say
- 1:42:00but yes I do believe in evolution which only explains
- 1:42:04the biodiversity of life. It doesn't explain the origin of
- 1:42:07life and that's what you've kind of got understand well, Ian
- 1:42:10sperm is not much different from the whole Rock concept.
- 1:42:14Is it any idea some goo basically was sitting on a rock?
- 1:42:19Anyway, just happen to be out in space first and it magically
- 1:42:22somehow survived, the impact are Living Earth and then went into
- 1:42:27its its self. I don't King.
- 1:42:29So not necessarily that is one even necessarily a matter of
- 1:42:34your Magic Eye. Yeah, just just one sec.
- 1:42:38I'll just address that sorry. I denied.
- 1:42:39You can give him go straight after me.
- 1:42:41So the other explanations is some kind of intelligent
- 1:42:44organism my basically aliens. I don't believe that because
- 1:42:48there's no evidence for it but it is all for me Paradise.
- 1:42:52Funny Peridot is a game that's again.
- 1:42:54Why are you with the word magic? And I'm having fun with it a
- 1:42:57little bit. Here is ptor, you've probably
- 1:43:00seen a dozen movies or so in your lifetime of what happens
- 1:43:04when an asteroid are a rock. Hits the Earth, it's not a
- 1:43:07pretty sight. I mean I have happened a depend
- 1:43:10upon how big it is it's not so. So they're telling us that
- 1:43:13there's this gu about the size of toothpaste sitting on a damn
- 1:43:17Rock that's 100 billion times bigger than the goo.
- 1:43:20It's going to hit the earth and somehow I managed to survive the
- 1:43:25impact and destruction. An apocalyptic elliptic type of
- 1:43:29event like this. You see, it has any onion.
- 1:43:32One bacteria sitting on sorry. Well,
- 1:43:52You're right as well. I mean, we have Myriad different
- 1:43:55artifacts of all kinds of meteorites that hit the earth
- 1:43:58and have a continuing collection of that, which grows every
- 1:44:01single year. And not only that we have
- 1:44:03evidence of plenty of life forms, which are extremely
- 1:44:05resistant to vacuum like conditions.
- 1:44:08Like at the most famous one, obviously being the tardigrade
- 1:44:11is able to survive perfectly comfortably in the vacuum of
- 1:44:14space for quite extended periods of time.
- 1:44:15So I don't necessarily for him. I know you're saying you're
- 1:44:17having fun. I know you're saying that you're
- 1:44:19having fun with magic Brett and I understand, don't you?
- 1:44:22Me wrong. I understand using colorful
- 1:44:23language, it's a very fun thing to do in conversation but I
- 1:44:27think that it is a very plausible thing if that were to
- 1:44:30have happened. But it's just one of countless
- 1:44:32other hypotheses that have been proposed as to how life is come
- 1:44:35about. I mean, there are other are
- 1:44:37other places even Nursery evidence?
- 1:44:41No, no, there isn't any evidence.
- 1:44:43So earlier gosh, I'm forgetting your name.
- 1:44:48You said that you said that you didn't necessarily believe Even
- 1:44:52abiogenesis. So that prompted me, that
- 1:44:56prompted me to go. Look up the article on
- 1:44:59abiogenesis and there are two parts.
- 1:45:02In particular, I want to read for our viewing audience,
- 1:45:06laughter metal lights. They're actually in my state.
- 1:45:08I have seen them that awesome that they're so old, they're
- 1:45:12like relics from the past son, a bacteria incredible.
- 1:45:16Even if you can. Well, the VOR PTR you mind if I
- 1:45:20throw something out there, for some reason, the This is another
- 1:45:23thing non-believers don't get and it's going to go great with
- 1:45:26what you're doing. How can I do a lot of these kids
- 1:45:28don't realize this but abiogenesis is defined as the
- 1:45:33original evolution of life or living organisms from inorganic
- 1:45:38or inanimate substances, so it is actually part of the
- 1:45:42evolution process. It's the very origin.
- 1:45:44What got it going? So I don't know why anybody who
- 1:45:48believes now. Yeah, it says here that they buy
- 1:45:52Genesis is not a single event but it's an evolutionary
- 1:45:56process. So if to me, if you're going to
- 1:45:59believe in evolution, you really should be believing in
- 1:46:02abiogenesis as well. Especially when you go to the
- 1:46:05section, that talks about the earliest evidence of life and
- 1:46:09thus Trumbull lights you were referring to because that's all
- 1:46:12part of abiogenesis. I'm going to go get these hair,
- 1:46:16maybe fatty water on and I'll rejoin you handsome fellows to
- 1:46:21be fair if you want to. Look up a biogenesis in
- 1:46:24Wikipedia and say, that's what it is.
- 1:46:26Because this is sort of an argument that I've heard from
- 1:46:29some something as they sort of go.
- 1:46:31Oh, well, there's multiple different types of evolution and
- 1:46:33technically that's true, there's Stellar Evolution.
- 1:46:36There's there's sort of biological evolution.
- 1:46:39There's there's there's a number of different types and you're
- 1:46:43sort of using the same argument. When people talk about
- 1:46:45Evolution, they're talking about biological evolution in a
- 1:46:49colloquial sense. And I understand that there's
- 1:46:51other types But when we're talking about Evolution, we're
- 1:46:55talking about biological evolution, so Evolution
- 1:46:59basically, if you look that up in Wikipedia to be fair, you
- 1:47:02looked it up and it says, it was an evolutionary process.
- 1:47:05Evolution is the change in heritable characteristics of
- 1:47:08biological populations over successive Generations.
- 1:47:11That is all that it is, it isn't abiogenesis.
- 1:47:14Which is the evolution from sort of bio organic chemicals to some
- 1:47:20form of life. So They're clearly
- 1:47:23differentiating between the tube.
- 1:47:25And when people use evolution in ordinary parlance, they're
- 1:47:29talking about biological evolution.
- 1:47:31So, this sort of conflating with other types.
- 1:47:34I don't think that's very, I'm sorry, I don't think that's very
- 1:47:37honest. What I'm confused by as why you
- 1:47:41don't seem to be wanting to look at the bigger picture of
- 1:47:44bringing it all together. Because if evolution is just
- 1:47:47about changes in a population in a biogenesis, Explains where all
- 1:47:53those populations even came from in the first place in the
- 1:47:56ultimate sense, which apparently the current theory is that
- 1:48:00bacteria microbes formed on rocks, near these thermal vents
- 1:48:04underneath the ocean in like the always these fossils are from
- 1:48:08the Northern Quebec area, I just don't see how we're
- 1:48:11misconstruing. Anything when we talk about Ulta
- 1:48:15in the ultimate sense, men, do come from rocks, not in the
- 1:48:19because that's a very simplified approach that I I know you don't
- 1:48:22like but when you look at the bigger more detailed picture,
- 1:48:26and you trace the evolution timeline of all organisms, all
- 1:48:29the way back, eventually you come to this place where you
- 1:48:33see, okay? Well, bacteria, formed on rocks,
- 1:48:36near hydrothermal vents underneath, what would be the
- 1:48:39ocean? And that's where the first life
- 1:48:42came, and then all the evolution took place after that point.
- 1:48:46So, I don't know how, I don't know why you're having a problem
- 1:48:50with us talking about And we'll act like the Plaid man would
- 1:48:54like to address that. First of what will I was going
- 1:48:57to say? I don't understand why there's
- 1:48:59an issue with that either, that's straight out of the
- 1:49:02dictionary. That's not much me and I didn't
- 1:49:04just invent it on the draw. It's yeah.
- 1:49:08Are on page that he showing as well as the very definition
- 1:49:11sell. Something on the dress that too.
- 1:49:14So I'd like to just like to address that that that
- 1:49:16basically. Yeah it does.
- 1:49:17It does interest me. It concerns me.
- 1:49:18I think that warm vents is probably the best.
- 1:49:22This is as far as I'm aware and I'm not a biologist or a
- 1:49:26paleobiologist. So you know I might be wrong but
- 1:49:30I have to rely on the scientific Community to provide the
- 1:49:35answers. I'm not doing research into
- 1:49:37abiogenesis myself, I have to rely on Experts.
- 1:49:41So I am interested in it and I am interested in the alternate
- 1:49:45alternating hypotheses that people working in a biogenesis
- 1:49:48are coming up with but because their Cease and there are
- 1:49:53competing hypotheses, like warm vents, like panspermia, like,
- 1:49:58like all of these different hypotheses that they have.
- 1:50:02I don't know which one is correct.
- 1:50:04If any of them because they haven't like, they don't know
- 1:50:09themselves. So, how could I possibly as a
- 1:50:12layperson go? Will I'm going to decide which
- 1:50:16one of these abiogenesis if any are correct.
- 1:50:20I would rather Have the position that I don't know, which one is
- 1:50:25correct. If any and, and, and be honest
- 1:50:28because I don't know enough about chemical interactions and
- 1:50:35and paleo biology to unknow. Which one is the correct one.
- 1:50:39I'm not just going to, you know, throw my hat into the warm vent
- 1:50:43Theory, just because I think it might be the most likely one.
- 1:50:46The one that is being supported by a majority at the moment
- 1:50:49because until it becomes scientific consensus and Theory.
- 1:50:54They're basically saying that they don't know for sure and I
- 1:50:56think that's fine, they're still continuing to investigate and it
- 1:50:59does concern me absolutely Brett mentioned.
- 1:51:04That's the dictionary definition and I guess you've missed my
- 1:51:07point. It's just because something
- 1:51:09mentions the word Evolution as a descriptor.
- 1:51:12Doesn't mean it's referring to biological evolution because
- 1:51:17things will say the evolution of our solar system like how a
- 1:51:22Isshin discs formed the solar system and Stellar evolution is
- 1:51:25a thing. It's just a word, but when we
- 1:51:28use the word in common speak, we're talking about biological
- 1:51:32evolution. So well that's where I'm still
- 1:51:35confused, because, right? If we're talking about
- 1:51:37biological evolution, then ultimately on the grand Cosmic
- 1:51:41scale of biological evolution, you have all organic life
- 1:51:46ultimately originating from bacteria that formed on Rocks
- 1:51:51Under the Ocean by Your thermal vents according to the
- 1:51:53prevailing current confront, right?
- 1:51:56So I don't see how that's not part of biological evolution
- 1:52:00because that impression I'm getting from you.
- 1:52:02Well evolution by Genesis Isn't So Evolution has met its burden
- 1:52:10of proof. It's, you know, you may disagree
- 1:52:12but scientifically it has. So it is now Theory by
- 1:52:17scientific consensus. It is it is theory abiogenesis.
- 1:52:22Isn't. So they do not know how
- 1:52:25Evolution Works down to a startling degree, but they don't
- 1:52:30seem to know exactly how abiogenesis Works.
- 1:52:33They've taken a number of steps like they've got.
- 1:52:36I think there's, there's something like a hundred and
- 1:52:39twenty seven steps, and they've got 40.
- 1:52:41So, I am really struggling to remember but they've got some of
- 1:52:45the steps that don't have all of it.
- 1:52:46So he landed want to touch on something that Mark mentioned
- 1:52:51earlier. Earlier you mentioned that
- 1:52:54because you lack in knowledge regarding scientific basically,
- 1:52:59biology and you were right to acknowledge.
- 1:53:02I think it was a good thing to acknowledge that, you know, you
- 1:53:04could be wrong. So could I buy a lot of things?
- 1:53:07But sure, I'm just kind of disturbed by the, the general
- 1:53:13attitude that you have psychologically that well
- 1:53:15because I'm not, you know, a super expert on this topic.
- 1:53:19In the, I haven't degree sense. That somehow You know, I'm not
- 1:53:23qualified to talk about these things.
- 1:53:25Why can't you just look at all the available information that
- 1:53:28you can that's, you know, simplified enough to understand
- 1:53:31in the way, you understand things?
- 1:53:33Why can't you just look at that information and come to your own
- 1:53:36conclusions? Instead of just trusting the
- 1:53:38experts because they came to a consensus.
- 1:53:41Okay, so I well say that I could not talk about it.
- 1:53:45I never said that at all so that's the complete
- 1:53:48misrepresents representation of my position.
- 1:53:51I already I said that I don't I don't see enough evidence for me
- 1:53:57to support abiogenesis as I know this to be true.
- 1:54:01However, I do see more than enough evidence overwhelming
- 1:54:05evidence for biological evolution if you want to get
- 1:54:08precise to support that theory, the theory of evolution.
- 1:54:14So I reserve the right to say that, I don't know if not enough
- 1:54:19evidence has been presented to me and not enough.
- 1:54:22If evidence has been presented to me for abiogenesis, I think
- 1:54:25it's the most likely but not enough evidence has been
- 1:54:29presented me. So hey, I know that that I am, I
- 1:54:32believe that to be true because as I said that, could be
- 1:54:35panspermia. There's a lot of other
- 1:54:37hypotheses out there. I reserve the right to say, I
- 1:54:41don't know and I don't know why anyone would be uncomfortable
- 1:54:45saying, I don't know when they truly don't know II, don't jump
- 1:54:50into it, read some stuff and And go.
- 1:54:52Well I'm going to pick the best one and believe that.
- 1:54:57I think it's okay to say I don't know I think I don't know
- 1:55:00reappeared. So I agree with you that it's
- 1:55:02okay to say that you don't know why you're saying is earlier.
- 1:55:05You made it sound like because you weren't a biologist that
- 1:55:11basically you were just going to trust whatever they say because
- 1:55:14you didn't know enough to know if what they're telling you is
- 1:55:17right or wrong. And that's kind of like my
- 1:55:19question is coming from this not because you do.
- 1:55:22Don't know something or what not it's just why do you feel like
- 1:55:26you have to defer to them in everything when you could just,
- 1:55:30you know, come to your own conclusions?
- 1:55:33It's not everything. It's the the consensus is made
- 1:55:36up of papers that have passed peer-review, right?
- 1:55:40This process that we have the scientific method.
- 1:55:45Now, the scientific method is responsible for giving us every
- 1:55:48single piece of technology we have today, and most of the
- 1:55:51things We know about about everything basically and it's a
- 1:55:55very particular process. One that, you know, I had to
- 1:55:58study in University. It is something that we
- 1:56:02acknowledge has some flaws especially as far as, you know,
- 1:56:06sort of statistical research. Anyway, there's a few flaws, but
- 1:56:10it seems to be the best method we have on deciding what is true
- 1:56:15and what is not true about reality mostly about physical
- 1:56:19reality. If you have a better method,
- 1:56:22Method. That's, that's great but you'd
- 1:56:24have to demonstrate it is more reliable than the scientific
- 1:56:27method. So I'm more talking about the
- 1:56:30scientific process, that produces a scientific consensus
- 1:56:35than the opinions of the people themselves.
- 1:56:38Their opinions don't matter. The papers that are supported by
- 1:56:42the process do matter. Well, hi would be careful about
- 1:56:46that because if you just do a basic Google search about
- 1:56:49problems, with peer review, you're going to be busy for Next
- 1:56:5220 years. And I know you are what we
- 1:56:55better think about this, this and this is he's not confident
- 1:57:01about the experts on the abiogenesis, but he's pretty
- 1:57:04confident about the evolution. So we can move past if it spins
- 1:57:09firm, your aliens dropped us here.
- 1:57:11We can get right into the evolution at that time.
- 1:57:14No, no. That's that's misrepresenting
- 1:57:16me. I've got to push back on that
- 1:57:17because it's not that I'm not confident in the experts, the
- 1:57:21experts themselves. Mmmmm selves say that we haven't
- 1:57:23reached a consensus about the origin of life.
- 1:57:26So you know, I am confident in the expert, so that's completely
- 1:57:30misrepresenting me. It's that they are saying that
- 1:57:34they're not 100% sure. So nice try, Brett nice try but
- 1:57:39misrepresentation so there. The fair enough.
- 1:57:42We like about 15 minutes left before we could get out of here
- 1:57:47and I was going to give Aiden a chance to lead us in a
- 1:57:51discussion. Since he hasn't really said much
- 1:57:53so far. Oh thanks, I appreciate that.
- 1:57:58I've the only thing I was going to say as far as commenting and
- 1:58:01what we were going over there talking about rather earlier was
- 1:58:04that one of the things a lot of people bring up is things like
- 1:58:07the miller-urey experiment. The fact that when you have
- 1:58:10certain simulations, what we believe.
- 1:58:12Anyways, to be early Earth conditions simulated that
- 1:58:15complex organic molecules can form a biotic Lee, basically
- 1:58:21that It doesn't need to necessarily be biological
- 1:58:24processes in order to form complex, organic molecules and
- 1:58:27that was actually proven even further in the 1970s with the
- 1:58:31launching of the Voyager probes. Because although we didn't have
- 1:58:34much of a good concept or understanding of what Saturn's
- 1:58:39moon. Titan was at that point we were
- 1:58:40extremely interested in that because we realize that it was
- 1:58:44the only other body in our solar system.
- 1:58:47That was a roughly earth-sized object that actually had any
- 1:58:50kind of atmosphere that clung to So there was an immediate
- 1:58:53Fascination in this body and was actually the reason why the
- 1:58:56Voyager 1 spacecraft wasn't targeted towards Pluto.
- 1:58:59It could have went towards Pluto and would have actually flown by
- 1:59:02in the 80s rather than New Horizons in 2015.
- 1:59:05But anyways when we ended up going to see Titan, when Voyager
- 1:59:091 flew by what we saw was an atmosphere that seemed to
- 1:59:13contain. Once again, a whole bunch of
- 1:59:15these Advanced organic molecules is Advanced hydrocarbons and
- 1:59:19surely enough when the Cassini spacecraft visited.
- 1:59:21Saturn later on in the 2000's. What we came to realize was that
- 1:59:25it wasn't actually even just tighten that had these organic
- 1:59:28complex molecules that we could detect.
- 1:59:30It was also that moon Enceladus. And in some of this actually has
- 1:59:34a leg up on Titan because although tightened does have an
- 1:59:38atmosphere and it does have it. Even oceans, work of these
- 1:59:42organic molecules propane ethane and the materials with, which
- 1:59:47they can With which they can interact with one another and
- 1:59:50form an atmosphere. Something we thought that only
- 1:59:52organic molecules would be able to form these sorts of things.
- 1:59:55But anyways, it's in a very cold environment when the the Huygens
- 2:00:00part of the cassini-huygens spacecraft touchdown on Titan.
- 2:00:05It was only able to last for a little over an hour before it
- 2:00:07just completely froze solid because of how cold it is.
- 2:00:10But the difference is that in some of this, the other Moon of
- 2:00:13Titan that I referred to a much more closer moving to.
- 2:00:16The Titan is also responsible for Earring, but that's because
- 2:00:20of its geysers that it has beneath its surface.
- 2:00:23It was something the the Voyager spacecraft, never detected on
- 2:00:26its Southern face and part of it, the Moon is these gigantic
- 2:00:29geysers and when we detect the molecules that come out of these
- 2:00:33guys, there's not only are they organic complex molecules come
- 2:00:37and out of these guys is they're coming from a warm ocean
- 2:00:39environment. So what I'm trying to say here
- 2:00:43is this isn't definitive evidence that there's life
- 2:00:45elsewhere in the solar system but there are other Iron ments
- 2:00:49that are way more likely even than places.
- 2:00:51Like Mars, Europa is another great candidate for Jupiter.
- 2:00:53That are very good contenders for life outside of our Earth.
- 2:00:57And I think if we find life outside of our Earth, I think
- 2:00:59that it proves that it's something that is very much.
- 2:01:02So something that has to be common throughout the universe
- 2:01:05that it has to be, even if it only involves to a very
- 2:01:08primitive State before it's cut off by whatever Factor
- 2:01:12circumstance, that there probably is going to be a myriad
- 2:01:15of Life out there. So, sorry, go ahead.
- 2:01:18Well I was going to say TT, you are.
- 2:01:20I'm going to be getting out of here to get me a good Chinese
- 2:01:22dinner with my wife. It was awesome.
- 2:01:25The interview that you did with Godless girl.
- 2:01:27You did great man. I felt like she did fantastic as
- 2:01:30far as the planets and the worlds and all that.
- 2:01:33I find it very inconvenient and sad for evolution that it hasn't
- 2:01:37been able to produce one single sentient life on any of the
- 2:01:41billions of supposed planets that exist are what we've
- 2:01:44observed how to become. Well, I was just about to say,
- 2:01:48The only things that we've actually been able to bring out
- 2:01:51to these environments in the solar system, are things that
- 2:01:54are able to detect these things detect these molecules because
- 2:01:57of things like radar and sonar and other Imaging devices which
- 2:02:02we can read the band width of the image.
- 2:02:04As what is it the spectroscopy? Yeah.
- 2:02:06Yeah. That's pretty common these
- 2:02:08molecules. Yeah.
- 2:02:10But come to these things. Yeah, thank you.
- 2:02:12Thank you. But we haven't ever had
- 2:02:16spacecraft. Go out there that are capable of
- 2:02:18Drew. Drilling down into the surface
- 2:02:20of Europa for example or going and actually seeing the geysers
- 2:02:23of Enceladus and getting a sample of the molecules that are
- 2:02:26coming off of it. Now if we ever do get one out
- 2:02:28there, I wouldn't be surprised if it does at least prove that
- 2:02:32there's even more potential for even more advanced complete
- 2:02:36chemical compounds being produced, a biotic lie, if not
- 2:02:40life itself. And I think that that's just
- 2:02:43another step closer to the big difference.
- 2:02:46The chasm at least I've observed in The creation/evolution
- 2:02:49debate, which is, we've been able to have all of the
- 2:02:52components that can make life that can put life together, but
- 2:02:56we've never been able to animate it.
- 2:02:57So to speak. We've never been able to make it
- 2:02:59so that it can reproduce itself. So that is the point in which
- 2:03:04will it really won't even be a matter of debate that life is
- 2:03:07going to be something that's able to create itself.
- 2:03:10And I'm not saying that as if that's a certainty, it's by no
- 2:03:13means a certainty, but I think that that's something that only
- 2:03:16time is ultimately going to be able to tell Is it as far as how
- 2:03:20we're going to continue on or experimentations and understand
- 2:03:23and expand our data that we have available to us and we haven't
- 2:03:27even managed to get a probe to the next star.
- 2:03:30Much less to the billions of planets that we estimate our out
- 2:03:34there. I think that the farthest we've
- 2:03:36got is is sort of just outside of the Oort cloud around the
- 2:03:40edge of the solar system, kind of thing.
- 2:03:43And that's a Voyager 2, is a Voyager 1 or what, you know, I
- 2:03:47wish we were as far as the or glad the Oort cloud is actually
- 2:03:50something that's not real. One isn't going to reach for a
- 2:03:52couple of centuries. It's so far away even though
- 2:03:55it's traveling, I think it's like 20 or 30 times faster than
- 2:03:58a bullet. But that just proves how immense
- 2:04:01our solar system itself is. And I think if our solar system
- 2:04:04has so many things that point towards, that give us these
- 2:04:07Clues towards how life could potentially emerge in other
- 2:04:10parts of the Universe. I think that speaks very
- 2:04:13profoundly to How likely it could even potentially be for
- 2:04:17these other complexity. Things do Exist Elsewhere.
- 2:04:19Sorry, I'll let you go ahead. No, stay.
- 2:04:22Yeah, that like the I think and correct me if I'm wrong.
- 2:04:26I didn't the the closest star to us is sort of 4.2 light years
- 2:04:31away. And if you actually look at the
- 2:04:33measurement, it's an unfathomably, long distance away
- 2:04:36like just unfathomably, there's no way we can check for life on
- 2:04:43billions of planets, much less a planet outside of our solar
- 2:04:47system. Like the It's the closest thing
- 2:04:49we've been ever be able to even hypothesize with our current
- 2:04:52technology to be able to go. And even visit one of these
- 2:04:55like, even just to visit Proxima Centauri, which is the star that
- 2:04:58you just referenced on, that's four point two light-years away,
- 2:05:01which yes, that is indeed how distant it is.
- 2:05:05The best thing that we have is a project called breakthrough
- 2:05:08starshot. And what breakthrough starshot
- 2:05:10is, it's a hypothesis that you could essentially take a very
- 2:05:13small space probe, we're talking something that's maybe the size
- 2:05:16of like the tip of your thumb. And have it accelerated with
- 2:05:23lasers accelerated with this Laser Technology to the point
- 2:05:26where it's about we could probably theoretically get it to
- 2:05:29about 25 percent. The speed of light with an
- 2:05:32immense amount of electricity, we're talking like the yearly
- 2:05:35consumption of the entire country of Germany or another
- 2:05:38large countries amount of electricity to accelerate just
- 2:05:42one of these things towards it. And we wouldn't want to just
- 2:05:45accelerate one because all matter of, Between us and that
- 2:05:50Stark Edge, destroy it. On the way there.
- 2:05:52It's such a small object, we'd want to send a whole bunch of
- 2:05:55them in order for that to be a successful Mission.
- 2:05:57So although there is feasible for us to maybe one day, get
- 2:06:02vague, a vague understanding of these other stars, without
- 2:06:05faster-than-light technology. I think that there's going to be
- 2:06:08a lot of answers that are going to elude us for many centuries
- 2:06:12as far as this is concerned. And that it's certainly not
- 2:06:17going to be an answer will Like they ever have in our lifetime,
- 2:06:20unfortunately. So as I sit here, listening to
- 2:06:25all of this, the only real observation that I can make
- 2:06:30definitively is that I hear a lot of, you know, possibly I
- 2:06:34believe a lot of hopeful almost seems like wishful thinking on
- 2:06:39my side that one day we're going to find things and discover
- 2:06:42things that will prove, that naturalistic origins of Life are
- 2:06:47real and not just hypothetical. That's right now, you're very
- 2:06:51young to be hearing. You're very well, you're very
- 2:06:55well capable of interpreting it that way.
- 2:06:58I just think that when you look at the available data that's
- 2:07:01available to us even in our solar system as I said before, I
- 2:07:04think that it is something that is certainly not at all
- 2:07:09something that's outside of the realm of possibility.
- 2:07:11I don't think maybe it maybe it is wishful thinking to imagine
- 2:07:14that there is other life out there but I personally would
- 2:07:18find it profoundly sad. If we were the only life It
- 2:07:22would never come to exist in such a vast universe that we
- 2:07:25were the only specimen such a vast and I apologize for using
- 2:07:30the term wishful thinking because it kind of came up - I
- 2:07:33was I couldn't think no no that's okay.
- 2:07:37Yeah, I think Brett Brett brought up earlier the Fermi
- 2:07:40Paradox which is a good very good point that that the chances
- 2:07:44of there not being life somewhere else in the universe.
- 2:07:48If you look at it scientifically are so small like it's just It
- 2:07:52is so big that the chances that we're the only life in the
- 2:07:56universe is almost 0 basically but like if there's like a Drake
- 2:08:01equation. Yeah yeah yeah.
- 2:08:03And and sort of so, so but the chances of one of them becoming
- 2:08:07technologically advanced enough to travel technologically
- 2:08:11advanced enough to travel to ass because the universe is so vast.
- 2:08:17The chances are almost zero. So we wouldn't expect to see
- 2:08:21another life. Form.
- 2:08:24And I think that is that that's the Paradox essentially.
- 2:08:28So, what you're saying, if I'm hearing this right, is that
- 2:08:31because the universe is so big that even if there are Advanced
- 2:08:36alien civilizations out there of Technology Beyond ours?
- 2:08:39The universe is so big that we're just not going to run into
- 2:08:41them. Yeah, essentially that's the
- 2:08:44Paradox. Yeah.
- 2:08:46I'm not very well could be not what I got from the Paradox
- 2:08:49Wikipedia page. Basically, the Paradox is from
- 2:08:54what I understand. That we don't have any
- 2:08:58observable evidence that aliens exist, but because evolution is
- 2:09:03true and because the time is true that and because the
- 2:09:07universe is so big. It's mathematically impossible
- 2:09:11for advanced aliens to not exist or some kind of Alien
- 2:09:16civilization alien race to not exist.
- 2:09:19Yeah, I think I think it's very. I think the Fermi Paradox is
- 2:09:22very often used almost as like a vehicle of frustration for some
- 2:09:28people to express that. Okay, well if there's life and
- 2:09:30if this universe is so gigantic and we've been able to observe
- 2:09:34it as a as much as we have within such a short period of
- 2:09:39time. And why haven't we found any
- 2:09:40aliens behind the Paradox. Basically is attempting to
- 2:09:43answer why we have no observable evidence.
- 2:09:45It's of aliens even though according to evolutionary
- 2:09:48thinking, they should exist then and we should have seen them by
- 2:09:52now. At least some people think.
- 2:09:54Yeah. I think that's a very silly
- 2:09:57notion though. I think that that's the
- 2:09:58equivalent of the know. If you land on a new continent
- 2:10:02and you're trying to find some, you're trying to find any kind
- 2:10:06of life and you land on the western Sahara and Africa.
- 2:10:10And you look around for like, I don't know, you look around for
- 2:10:14a couple of feet around you, you Kind of scan the surroundings
- 2:10:17around you. You're able to have a basic
- 2:10:19understanding of your exact Landing site but you just come
- 2:10:21to the conclusion and I haven't found anything yet.
- 2:10:23That just must not be anything. I think that just, I think the
- 2:10:27fact that we've only been able to observe the universe and any
- 2:10:30depth of detail really Beyond just the very basics of what's
- 2:10:35around us and what we can directly observe.
- 2:10:37I think that to come to the conclusion while they're just
- 2:10:41must not be any. I'm not saying that this is what
- 2:10:42you're doing, but I'm just saying that for anybody to come
- 2:10:45to Conclusion. That there is no other life out
- 2:10:48there that there is no other even intelligent life out.
- 2:10:51There is a little bit. It's a bit quick.
- 2:10:57It's a bit of a very quick conclusion to come to given this
- 2:11:00very small amount of data. We have available to us on that.
- 2:11:03Well from where go ahead? I want to ask a question.
- 2:11:07Are you a young Earth? Creationist.
- 2:11:09Absolutely. Do you accept that stars are
- 2:11:13sort of 4.6? Light years away from us.
- 2:11:18That is being used as a unit of measurement.
- 2:11:21Yes. But I know I'm not really a big
- 2:11:24fan of the term itself because of how it's used, do you believe
- 2:11:28that light can't? Okay.
- 2:11:29So do you believe in the variable speed of light?
- 2:11:31Then do you think that because we observe these things that are
- 2:11:34such a huge measure distance away from us, that there's no
- 2:11:38that there's either no correlation between that and
- 2:11:42time or that, that time can be distorted.
- 2:11:45I didn't. Anyway, sorry, I'm just trying
- 2:11:47to understand what you mean by that.
- 2:11:49Yeah, I have seen be creationist hypothesis about how time can be
- 2:11:54basically manipulated into not being what we see and I have
- 2:11:58studied Big Bang cosmology enough to know that at the
- 2:12:03beginning of the process. Like when they rapid expansion
- 2:12:06first happened until the point where it started to slow down,
- 2:12:10but basically the speed of light, during that brief window
- 2:12:13of time was much faster than it is today.
- 2:12:16And then just like the expansion of the universe.
- 2:12:19It started to slow down after a certain point until it gets to
- 2:12:22the point where the speed of light is what it is today and
- 2:12:25the expansion rate of the universe is what it is today.
- 2:12:28That's what I think. I might say the blood was fast,
- 2:12:31the big bang, I don't think the speed of light changed.
- 2:12:35It's sort of a constant C is a is a constant like the speed of
- 2:12:41light in a vacuum. Wasn't it wasn't creationist to
- 2:12:45resources. That I read that from, although
- 2:12:47I don't remember what it was that I read.
- 2:12:49From. Yeah, I think maybe something to
- 2:12:53do with it, maybe something to do with space because nothing
- 2:12:58according to Einstein, nothing can travel faster than the speed
- 2:13:01of light. But aside from that space can
- 2:13:03kind of do whatever it wants. Like, so the curvature of space
- 2:13:08can affect the, the sort of wave at that time elapses.
- 2:13:13And the way that, but the speed of something I'm really I mean,
- 2:13:20don't get me wrong, I'm not a, not a physicist either, but as
- 2:13:23far as, I know the speed of light is in a vacuum, is an
- 2:13:26absolute constant of see, it's roughly around 300 thousand
- 2:13:30meters per second. Well, we are running out of
- 2:13:33time, so I am going to have to cut us off here soon, but you
- 2:13:37will be sleeves to know that even though I'm a younger fur,
- 2:13:40that's not a flatter honest with you and I think in progress
- 2:13:46ctor, maybe one day we'll get you there.
- 2:13:49There's can treaty. Oh, I don't mean to be
- 2:13:51insulting. I honestly think that might have
- 2:13:53about the same evidence for them and I don't mean that an
- 2:13:56insulting way. That's just, what is the main
- 2:14:02problem with flat Earth theory today?
- 2:14:05What is it? There we go.
- 2:14:09The main reason. I don't believe in Flat Earth.
- 2:14:12Theory actually has nothing to do with the shape of the earth.
- 2:14:14Although there are problems with what they say regarding that
- 2:14:16it's actually their denial of outer space.
- 2:14:19Ace that gives me a problem because the Bible doesn't deny
- 2:14:22outer spaces. Existence, well, I mean that's
- 2:14:25not the only problem. Let's face it right, right?
- 2:14:27But that's the main one that makes me go.
- 2:14:29Yeah, that's not going to entertain anything else because
- 2:14:33that's a big problem. Well I guess from my point of
- 2:14:37view that they both sort of have the same evidence for them
- 2:14:40because of you know, stuff like radioactive decay and the speed
- 2:14:44of light hitting us from from other stars and you know, Ice
- 2:14:49core samples. And all right, this part I did
- 2:14:53debate recently with tax cut you off a ghost man, but we are
- 2:14:57fucked so I'm going to let Mark finish it.
- 2:15:00Is it a quick question? Is it a quick question?
- 2:15:02Goes men. Yeah.
- 2:15:03Is it true? I found out I went over here and
- 2:15:06there's a way around the speed of light by find a way to make
- 2:15:10the universe move. Instead of you like it.
- 2:15:13Do spice, can contract and expand changing the travel time.
- 2:15:19That that something has, however, that would leave some
- 2:15:24sort of evidence of it doing so. And I'm not even sure how you
- 2:15:28would do it. Get that that to work for
- 2:15:31everything is the well, yeah, and gravity is definitely one
- 2:15:35thing that can befall that that but the speed of light does,
- 2:15:39like shaky. So with that, we're going to end
- 2:15:44there. And that is the end of this
- 2:15:46particular. God TV radio podcast.
- 2:15:49A stand. If you stuck with us this long,
- 2:15:51you're a real trooper and if you're watching the replay of
- 2:15:54this, hopefully you have fun watching the entire thing.
- 2:15:58And with that, I say peace out everyone by my life I ever been
- 2:16:02tried.
