- 2:04So this is inspirations for your life.
- 2:06And again, it's so great to be with
- 2:08all of you guys.
- 2:09The master topic for the week, which kicked
- 2:11off last Saturday, is how to let go
- 2:13and level up.
- 2:14It is series five and it is show
- 2:16number 27.
- 2:19And today's episode, this Wednesday, is how discipline
- 2:24beats motivation.
- 2:26Series five, show 27, episode number five.
- 2:29It's a wonderful Wednesday.
- 2:30It is July 1st, if you're watching me
- 2:33live.
- 2:34And discipline is structure.
- 2:37Motivation is noise.
- 2:40Now I know in a long time in
- 2:41the past, we've always heard that, you know,
- 2:45motivation is the key.
- 2:46Well, motivation, as we said, fades sometimes, okay?
- 2:49So welcome everyone to the ever-popular Inspirations
- 2:52for Your Life show.
- 2:53I am John C.
- 2:55Morley, serial entrepreneur, yes, engineer, marketing specialist, video
- 3:02producer, podcast host, coach, keynote speaker, graduate student
- 3:06at Montgomery State University, passionate lifelong learner, and
- 3:11grateful to now be a published author.
- 3:14All right, guys, it is so great to
- 3:16be with everyone here.
- 3:18Today, I'm focusing on a major truth in
- 3:22performance and personal development.
- 3:23What is that?
- 3:24Motivation is not the system.
- 3:27Sorry to tell you that.
- 3:28Discipline is.
- 3:30And the difference between the two determines long
- 3:33-term success.
- 3:34I think that's important for everyone here to
- 3:36understand.
- 3:37The core message is this.
- 3:39Motivation is emotional.
- 3:41Discipline is structural.
- 3:42And I've said you have to have structure
- 3:43and consistency to succeed.
- 3:47Motivation is inconsistent.
- 3:49Discipline is reliable.
- 3:51If you depend on motivation, your results will
- 3:53unfortunately fluctuate because it works on your mood,
- 3:57how you feel.
- 3:58If you depend on discipline, your results will
- 4:00compound, like interest on money in your bank
- 4:03account or CD.
- 4:05This, ladies and gentlemen, is where change begins.
- 4:09And many people, they miss this because they
- 4:12don't understand the whole truth.
- 4:16I think that's an important thing, again, that
- 4:17a lot of people just don't understand.
- 4:22So yeah, it is so great to be
- 4:25with everyone here.
- 4:26The first point is motivation fades, but discipline
- 4:29compounds over time.
- 4:32Consistency is built through structure, not emotion.
- 4:36And that's something that a lot of people
- 4:37miss.
- 4:40And yeah, it's pretty interesting.
- 4:43So number two, stop asking how you feel
- 4:46and start asking what you scheduled.
- 4:49Execution follows structure, okay?
- 4:52Number three, systems make success repeatable and of
- 4:58course scalable.
- 4:59Now, random effort does not compound, right?
- 5:02It just doesn't.
- 5:03We have to have consistency and we have
- 5:05to have structure.
- 5:07Structure.
- 5:08Or guys, we don't get success.
- 5:11We do not get success.
- 5:13Unfortunately, that's how all this works.
- 5:17So yeah, very interesting to understand that.
- 5:21Number four, guys, build routines instead of relying
- 5:24on inspiration.
- 5:27Routines remove decision fatigue, which kind of creeps
- 5:30in on us.
- 5:31Number five, small habits stack daily, outperform big
- 5:35bursts of effort that many people try to
- 5:37put forth.
- 5:39Consistency will always beat the intensity, right?
- 5:42What I tell you, consistency and structure is
- 5:43what you need for success.
- 5:45Number six, guys, make bad choices harder to
- 5:48access in your environment.
- 5:50Design influences the behavior and behavior is what's
- 5:55gonna affect our success going forward, that's important.
- 5:58Number seven, good choices should be easy to
- 6:01start, not hard.
- 6:03Friction determines the action.
- 6:06And friction's actually good, right?
- 6:08We've learned that.
- 6:08If we didn't have friction, guys, you know
- 6:10what we couldn't have?
- 6:11Well, we couldn't walk, right?
- 6:13We need friction to be able to walk.
- 6:15I think that's a very important thing to
- 6:19understand what's going on and why that's going
- 6:26on, because a lot of people just don't
- 6:29seem to understand that.
- 6:31That's a very important thing that most people,
- 6:35they miss.
- 6:36Number eight, design your day around your priorities,
- 6:40not distractions.
- 6:41Structure creates a unique alignment.
- 6:44And the more that we can embrace that,
- 6:45the more chances we're gonna see success sooner
- 6:48than later.
- 6:49Number nine, reset quickly when you slip without
- 6:53emotional drama.
- 6:55Recovery, speed matters, right?
- 7:01I think we always said it's not the
- 7:04case of whether you get up immediately, but
- 7:08you do keep getting up.
- 7:10And the big question is not how many
- 7:12times you go down, but how many times
- 7:13you get back up.
- 7:14I think that's probably one of the most
- 7:15important things that I can actually share with
- 7:17you.
- 7:18So that's a very important thing, guys.
- 7:22Number 10, no zero days means progress every
- 7:27single day.
- 7:28A zero day means you skip, you never
- 7:30skip.
- 7:32Minimum effort still builds momentum.
- 7:34So don't make something so difficult that you're
- 7:36gonna be like, oh, I can never do
- 7:37that every day.
- 7:38Do something small, do something small, but do
- 7:43it over and over again.
- 7:44If you do it over and over again,
- 7:46what's gonna happen is you will get success
- 7:49in your life.
- 7:51So that's a very important thing to understand
- 7:56that that's happening.
- 7:59And so, yeah, it's interesting when we think
- 8:04about that.
- 8:05Number 11, guys, consistency is more powerful than
- 8:08the intensity.
- 8:09And I've said this time and time again,
- 8:11but most people don't get that until they're
- 8:13actually involved with it.
- 8:14They're like, wait a minute, I'm pouring my
- 8:16whole heart out, I'm putting all my energy
- 8:17out, but I'm not getting anywhere.
- 8:20Do it consistently.
- 8:22Don't burn yourself out, right?
- 8:24Sustainable effort always will win.
- 8:26Even when you think doing more than someone
- 8:29else is gonna beat you, it's not doing
- 8:31more, it's doing it consistently.
- 8:33Because if you do more and you can't
- 8:35keep up with it, you're gonna fall out
- 8:37and you're gonna stop.
- 8:38If you do something small and you're consistent,
- 8:41you're probably gonna beat the other person out
- 8:42of it because you're gonna be consistent and
- 8:44you're gonna take the actions every single day.
- 8:45And I think that's the most important thing
- 8:47of life.
- 8:48Number 12, do the hardest task early to
- 8:52build momentum.
- 8:53I learned this a long time ago.
- 8:55Many times I've wanted to do the smaller
- 8:56tasks because I figured it would be easier
- 8:58to do the small one.
- 8:59But no, when you do the harder task
- 9:01first, you actually build stamina, you build momentum,
- 9:06and you get that natural dopamine feeling in
- 9:09your brain that makes you wanna continue going
- 9:11on.
- 9:11And I know a lot of us say,
- 9:13well, I don't wanna do the hard thing
- 9:14first, right?
- 9:15I wanna just complain.
- 9:18But complaining is not what it's about, okay?
- 9:20Complaining is not what it's about.
- 9:23And I think that's an important thing that
- 9:28many people here just don't realize that we
- 9:31have to do the right thing over and
- 9:33over again.
- 9:34And again, that can be a hard thing,
- 9:38right?
- 9:39It can be a hard thing for a
- 9:40lot of people to understand, but we have
- 9:45to keep moving forward with it.
- 9:47And if we keep moving forward with it,
- 9:49then we'll find that it gets a little
- 9:50bit easier.
- 9:53And that's an important thing.
- 9:55So again, consistency and structure.
- 9:59Number 13, guys, if it matters, it belongs
- 10:01on your calendar.
- 10:02I've said this before.
- 10:03If it's not on my calendar, it doesn't
- 10:05exist, okay?
- 10:07If you want something that matters, you gotta
- 10:10make sure it's scheduled and it's on your
- 10:12calendar, all right?
- 10:14So make sure it gets on your calendar.
- 10:16Treat your calendar like money, because your time
- 10:20is money.
- 10:21Scheduling turns intention into execution.
- 10:24So let's stop procrastination and let's keep scheduling,
- 10:27all right, smartly that is.
- 10:29Number 14, self-trust is built through kept
- 10:32promises.
- 10:35I know a lot of people say, I'm
- 10:36gonna do this, I'm gonna do that, but
- 10:37you know what happens?
- 10:38They fall short.
- 10:41And you might think, well, gee, that's terrible.
- 10:43And it is.
- 10:44But if people keep doing this over and
- 10:45over again, then I know that people don't
- 10:48really understand the value of accountability.
- 10:53They don't understand what it means to say
- 10:56yes to yourself and say yes to others.
- 10:58Because if you can't say yes to yourself
- 11:02or to others, you're gonna let yourself down
- 11:05time and time again.
- 11:06You first gotta be able to commit to
- 11:08yourself.
- 11:09Once you start committing yourself, then you commit
- 11:11to others, but don't think you gotta commit
- 11:13to others every single day.
- 11:15You don't.
- 11:15Don't let their tactics try to bulldoze you
- 11:19into that because that's something people are good
- 11:21at doing.
- 11:22Number 15, track your actions, not your emotions.
- 11:26I know you wanna track it because you
- 11:28don't feel good or you feel bad, let
- 11:30the emotions go, okay?
- 11:32Data beats feeling.
- 11:34I remember going into a courtroom the very
- 11:36first time.
- 11:38Luckily I won and other times I win,
- 11:40I won as well.
- 11:41But I have to tell you, it's not
- 11:43about the emotion in the courtroom.
- 11:46Okay, the statistics, the truth.
- 11:49If you start putting in all the emotion
- 11:51in there, the judge has to first of
- 11:54all figure out, well, how do I balance
- 11:56this so that we make sure that this
- 11:58is a fair case?
- 12:00And that becomes a problem.
- 12:01If you just give he or she the
- 12:03truth, then life becomes a lot easier for
- 12:06you and for them.
- 12:07And there's a good shot, you're probably gonna
- 12:09win that case, okay?
- 12:11But track your actions, not your emotions.
- 12:14Data always beats the feelings.
- 12:16And this is not just for things you're
- 12:21doing today or tomorrow, this is things you're
- 12:23doing your entire life.
- 12:25So people say, but John, what happens when
- 12:27it's a friendship or relationship?
- 12:28Well, I get that you wanna do it
- 12:31on emotion, I get it.
- 12:32But you know what?
- 12:33You've gotta use a little bit of logical
- 12:35know-how.
- 12:36You know why?
- 12:37Because sometimes you will decide to do something
- 12:40because of your feelings, but it might not
- 12:42be the best thing for you.
- 12:44So you've gotta make sure that you are
- 12:46doing the right thing all the time.
- 12:50So yes, your emotions can play a little
- 12:52bit in there, but you've gotta make sure
- 12:54that you're doing the right thing day in
- 12:56and day out.
- 12:56And if you are, then that logic and
- 13:00emotion, they're gonna come in tandem.
- 13:02If you're only making a decision just on
- 13:04the emotions for let's say a relationship, well,
- 13:07that's a problem.
- 13:08You've gotta look at both sides of the
- 13:09coin.
- 13:09Now in business, we look at basically the
- 13:14non-emotions all the time.
- 13:15Can there be times that we weigh an
- 13:17emotion in there to have a difference?
- 13:18Yes, but you can't have it tumble the
- 13:20whole thing, right?
- 13:21Can you make something a little bit lighter
- 13:24or weigh it a little bit less heavy
- 13:26because of the emotion, because there's something that
- 13:28was valid?
- 13:29Yes, but just be careful.
- 13:30Don't be a sucker on that because otherwise
- 13:32people will be doing it all the time.
- 13:34Number 17, discipline is self-respect in action.
- 13:39Behavior reflects identity day in and day out.
- 13:42If you don't get that, you will unfortunately
- 13:46miss a lot of lessons.
- 13:48And you'll be coming out very sad because
- 13:51you're gonna wonder why things are happening to
- 13:54you and not to others.
- 13:55It's because you're treating everything with emotion and
- 13:59you're responding only because of emotion.
- 14:03That's the best way I can explain that
- 14:04one to you.
- 14:05Number 18, treat goals like non-negotiable commitments
- 14:10because that's what they are.
- 14:12Seriousness creates structure.
- 14:13What'd I say we need?
- 14:14We need structure and we need consistency.
- 14:19People that are not serious do not create
- 14:23structure and they're not consistent.
- 14:24They just kind of wing it.
- 14:26And they hope that maybe this is the
- 14:28one time.
- 14:29Could they get lucky?
- 14:30Yes, but will they keep getting lucky?
- 14:33No.
- 14:33No.
- 14:34And eventually what'll happen is they'll lose their
- 14:37shirt because they're not operating with a system
- 14:40that's consistency and structure.
- 14:42They just got one win, right?
- 14:44They just got lucky.
- 14:45That doesn't keep happening.
- 14:48Number 19, remove optional behavior from critical habits.
- 14:56Sometimes people have all this extra stuff that
- 14:58they wanna do, but the truth of the
- 15:00matter is it has to come down to
- 15:03who you are.
- 15:05It has to come down to your own
- 15:08personality.
- 15:09And other people are gonna do things to
- 15:12try to tell you that your way isn't
- 15:14right because let's face it, not everybody's fair.
- 15:19And so yes, you've gotta be like your
- 15:21own judge to kind of judge character.
- 15:24And people, why do they do this?
- 15:25Well, because they're trying to manipulate you, right?
- 15:30So remove optional behavior from critical habits and
- 15:33you'll be a lot happier.
- 15:35Remember, ladies and gentlemen, eliminate decision points when
- 15:39you do this, because when you do that,
- 15:41it makes it so you have less things
- 15:43to do and the process is gonna be
- 15:45a lot smoother.
- 15:46Number 20, guys, learn to automate tasks that
- 15:51drain mental energy.
- 15:52This does not mean put your whole life
- 15:54on autopilot.
- 15:55This is not what this means.
- 15:56This means you can use systems like AI
- 15:58to help you automate tasks or scripts, et
- 16:01cetera, but you don't run your whole life
- 16:02on autopilot.
- 16:03Because if you do, you're gonna find your
- 16:07life just passing by you so quickly because
- 16:09you're not enjoying the moments, right?
- 16:12I talk about this in my book, Burnout,
- 16:14Drain to Driven.
- 16:17Many people feel that if they just keep
- 16:19pushing harder, the harder they push, the more
- 16:23they're gonna get done.
- 16:24Well, it might seem like that at first,
- 16:26but then slowly what's gonna happen is they're
- 16:30gonna lose, let's say, desire to wanna do
- 16:35things anymore.
- 16:38And that's the slow attack of burnout.
- 16:43When you recognize that, when you recognize that
- 16:45you're starting to lose interest in things you
- 16:47really love, that's a sign you gotta slow
- 16:50down.
- 16:50That's a sign you gotta start enjoying the
- 16:52moments of life.
- 16:56The problem is most people don't ever learn
- 16:58this lesson until it's too late.
- 17:02By the time they learn the lesson, they've
- 17:06injured themselves.
- 17:06They've done things that precludes them from making
- 17:11it hard to get their dreams.
- 17:13Could they still get them?
- 17:13Yes, but it'll be a lot harder.
- 17:16So automate those tasks that drain mental energy.
- 17:19You can do that right now.
- 17:21And systems will protect your focus.
- 17:24So develop those systems carefully, review them, make
- 17:28sure they're working to produce the same results
- 17:31that you expect, okay?
- 17:34Number 21, learn how to protect your attention
- 17:41like it has high value because every second,
- 17:44every moment of your time has value.
- 17:51Focus is a limited resource.
- 17:54We say, oh, I've got all the time.
- 17:57Don't let people abuse your time because when
- 17:59they abuse your time and you do it
- 18:01once, you'll do it again.
- 18:06Let me give an example.
- 18:08Maybe you take somebody out to lunch, business
- 18:10client, and maybe you're not expecting anything, but
- 18:14you find that they're draining you, right?
- 18:18Or they haven't done what they promised to
- 18:20do.
- 18:20They're supposed to follow up with you, but
- 18:21they don't.
- 18:22What does that mean?
- 18:23That means that that lunch was a loss,
- 18:27right?
- 18:28But it also means you better not give
- 18:30them any more in the future.
- 18:32These are the key things.
- 18:33Anyone says, oh, I was being kind.
- 18:35There's a difference between being kind and being
- 18:39taken advantage of, number 22.
- 18:43Do not wait for a reset moment.
- 18:46Start immediately.
- 18:48Start right now.
- 18:50You see, guys, delay reduces momentum, okay?
- 18:55The more we delay, the more we procrastinate.
- 18:59The more we procrastinate, the more we lose
- 19:03interest.
- 19:04The more we lose interest, the more things
- 19:09don't get done.
- 19:13Number 23, guys.
- 19:15Your daily actions define your personality.
- 19:19So we have to understand something.
- 19:20Behavior will build our identity.
- 19:22We talked a lot about identity last night.
- 19:24So identity is a very, very big part
- 19:26of our lives.
- 19:27If we don't understand that, then I think
- 19:29we gotta go back and really take some
- 19:32understanding to what identity is.
- 19:34Identity comes from our core values.
- 19:37We don't just pull identity out of the
- 19:39air.
- 19:39But when we resonate with identity, the rest
- 19:42of our life just kind of goes into
- 19:44a natural flow.
- 19:46All right, that's important.
- 19:48Number 24.
- 19:50Number 24 is a very important one.
- 19:53And that is your future is built through
- 19:56repetition, not intention.
- 19:59Intentions are good, but you have to keep
- 20:02repeating.
- 20:03You have to keep doing these over and
- 20:04over again, right?
- 20:04You wanna get in shape, you don't just
- 20:06do your exercises one day, right?
- 20:08You have to keep doing them over and
- 20:10over and over and over again, right?
- 20:13We've heard that the mother of skill is
- 20:16repetition.
- 20:18You probably heard before that repetition is destiny.
- 20:23Repetition is not always pleasurable.
- 20:25It has some discomfort, but you gotta keep
- 20:28doing it.
- 20:29Gotta keep doing it until you're like, oh,
- 20:32wait a minute, I just have to do
- 20:33this.
- 20:33It's like, there's no choice, you wanna do
- 20:36it, okay?
- 20:38That is what discipline is.
- 20:40Motivation gets you started, but discipline is what
- 20:45keeps you doing it.
- 20:47Number 25, guys.
- 20:49Each disciplined choice you make trains your brain.
- 20:53What happens?
- 20:55Neural pathways strengthen through these actions.
- 20:58And it makes it part of a very
- 21:03powerful system that keep you doing those tasks.
- 21:08Number 26, guys.
- 21:11Discipline feels hard at first, but it's natural
- 21:16later.
- 21:17Repetition creates ease.
- 21:20But I don't want you to tell you
- 21:21that it's gonna happen tomorrow because repetition is
- 21:24never easy the very first time you do
- 21:25it.
- 21:26But the more you do it, the easier
- 21:29it becomes.
- 21:32Let me give you an example.
- 21:34Many of you remember tying your shoes, right?
- 21:38So I have a question for everybody.
- 21:40Does everybody know, maybe you know the answer
- 21:41to this.
- 21:42How many times, you guys know the answer?
- 21:45How many times does it take to learn
- 21:52how to tie your shoelace?
- 21:58How many times?
- 22:01So most people, it could take a few
- 22:04days to a few weeks.
- 22:07The process usually requires 10 to 30 practice
- 22:12sessions based on people's age, their motor skills.
- 22:18Children typically learn between the ages of four
- 22:21and six as that's when their hand-eye
- 22:23coordination develops, spatial awareness develops.
- 22:27It's completely normal for some to grasp the
- 22:29motion almost immediately.
- 22:32Others may take up to a few months.
- 22:34Adults or older children who never fully learn
- 22:36can often pick up the skill in just
- 22:38a day or two of focused effort.
- 22:41So one thing that I never learned, but
- 22:42I finally did learn, and I actually wound
- 22:44up learning it in, actually wound up learning
- 22:48it in college, which was how to make
- 22:50a tie, right?
- 22:52I had worn clip-on ties even in
- 22:54parochial grammar school.
- 22:56After fifth grade, you're supposed to wear your
- 22:58tie, but I just kept wearing the clip
- 22:59-on tie throughout, just never bothered to learn.
- 23:01And then when a good friend of mine
- 23:03showed me how to do it, it just
- 23:05becomes second nature to me.
- 23:08The pattern, you could use the thing about
- 23:09the rabbit going around the hole, coming up
- 23:12and down and whatever you wanna use, but
- 23:13now it's just natural to me, right?
- 23:15And that pattern, literally what it take, it
- 23:19took, I would say this one person spent
- 23:25like maybe two or three times.
- 23:30The first time they did it with me,
- 23:32put my tie on.
- 23:33A second time they did it, a third
- 23:35time.
- 23:35And each time we did it, we did
- 23:36it maybe two or three times.
- 23:37So I got it after watching and participating
- 23:39because they did it while the tie was
- 23:41on me.
- 23:42So I felt the process.
- 23:43It wasn't just like I was doing it
- 23:44on somebody else.
- 23:44I actually was learning it while they were
- 23:47tying it on me, which is a little
- 23:49bit different because if you just do it
- 23:51not on a person, it's harder, right?
- 23:55So discipline does feel hard, but natural flow
- 24:00happens later.
- 24:02Repetition makes it easier.
- 24:05But in the beginning, you're like, there's no
- 24:08way I can do this.
- 24:10So you need somebody that can give you
- 24:12a little nudge.
- 24:13Somebody that can tell you, you can do
- 24:14this.
- 24:14This isn't that hard, right?
- 24:16Tying your shoelace might be harder than doing
- 24:19a tie, actually.
- 24:20I think tying a shoelace might be harder
- 24:22than tying a tie, actually.
- 24:24Number 27, motivation is a spark, okay?
- 24:29It can die.
- 24:31Discipline is the engine, right?
- 24:35Motivation is that spark you get when you're
- 24:37trying to light a candle.
- 24:40The discipline is actually the fire that keeps
- 24:45the flame going while you ignite the candle.
- 24:49See, sparks do not sustain movement, unfortunately, guys.
- 24:54They're nice, they might be pretty to watch,
- 24:56but they don't cause momentum.
- 25:01They come and they go.
- 25:04That's how they work.
- 25:05Number 28, your calendar reflects your identity direction.
- 25:11Direction.
- 25:12See, time allocation reveals priorities.
- 25:16True story, it was right around COVID time,
- 25:18and that's when I started doing digital calendars
- 25:20a while back, and I remember just opening
- 25:23my whole calendar up.
- 25:25I'm just saying anybody can be on the
- 25:26calendar, right?
- 25:27Didn't realize how a lot of these people,
- 25:30not saying bad about them, but they were
- 25:32trying to pitch me from these online networking
- 25:34events, and I was giving people hours of
- 25:36time.
- 25:38And before I knew it, my day and
- 25:39my week was just getting so filled, I'm
- 25:40like, for what?
- 25:41All this garbage.
- 25:43So now, I still let people schedule time
- 25:47with me, but I give them a controlled
- 25:49length.
- 25:50I might let them have 15 or 30
- 25:51minutes.
- 25:52People that want 60 minutes, I send that
- 25:55out very sparingly, and usually those appointments, most
- 25:59of the time, are charged for it, unless
- 26:00it's a special meeting that I believe would
- 26:02be a mutual benefit.
- 26:03So these are important things to understand, guys.
- 26:05Very important.
- 26:06Number 29, discipline is how you level up
- 26:09and stay there.
- 26:11Maintenance requires structure, right?
- 26:14Requires structure, just like learning how to tie
- 26:16the tie.
- 26:16Once I learned how to tie the tie,
- 26:18I'm pretty much good at it, right?
- 26:20I probably tie a tie once a week,
- 26:22or maybe once every two weeks.
- 26:25Number 30, every repeat action is a vote
- 26:28for your future self.
- 26:30Identity is built through repetition.
- 26:32That's what you need to get.
- 26:34So ladies and gentlemen, in closing, here is
- 26:35the truth.
- 26:36Are you ready for the truth?
- 26:38Motivation will not carry your life, I'm sorry
- 26:40to say.
- 26:41It will start things, but it will not
- 26:44finish them.
- 26:45Discipline is what builds the consistency, and consistency
- 26:47is what builds success.
- 26:49So if you wanna level up, which is
- 26:51what we're doing this whole week, stop chasing
- 26:54motivation.
- 26:57Stop.
- 26:58Because you're not gonna be happy with the
- 27:00results, because motivation will wane, depending on your
- 27:03moods, depending on even the weather, right?
- 27:06Because that'll affect your mood.
- 27:08Start building structure.
- 27:11Ladies and gentlemen, I'm John C.
- 27:13Morley, serial entrepreneur.
- 27:15And this is where discipline becomes your advantage.
- 27:20And ladies and gentlemen, this has been Inspirations
- 27:24for Your Life, where we talked about how
- 27:27discipline beats motivation in our series about something
- 27:35very important, which is how to let go
- 27:37and level up.
- 27:39And I think sometimes when we try to
- 27:42let go, we think we've immediately gotta replace
- 27:46that with something.
- 27:48We don't need to rush.
- 27:50It'll be filled in time.
- 27:52Have a great one, everyone.
- 27:53Be well.
- 27:53And remember to watch BelieveMeAchieve.com for more
