- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five whist Stocking fun
- 0:07Speaker 1: Ball and they are were a whist so yet it's supid,
- 0:11Speaker 1: But what did you expect?
- 0:13Speaker 2: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles te oh blow it?
- 0:20Speaker 1: Okay, So Week one is going to be Patriots and Seahawks.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That's fun. Oh. Kevin's a massive Patriots fan, so it's
- 0:30Speaker 1: fun for us. I think if I'm a Patriots fan,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I don't want that because you're gonna get drummed.
- 0:35Speaker 2: You think so, I would think so.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I guess the benefit is it's Week one and everybody's
- 0:39Speaker 1: a little off kilter week one. But the Seahawks are
- 0:42Speaker 1: just such a better team the Patriots. Not that they
- 0:45Speaker 1: weren't a good team, but there were some things that
- 0:46Speaker 1: really fell their way to get to the Super Bowl,
- 0:48Speaker 1: including playing a court well the second string quarterback for Denver.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and off field drama. Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 1: The variable that is not going to die. It's not
- 0:59Speaker 1: going to die. So are you excited about that?
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah? I am excited because that means that if you're
- 1:04Speaker 3: playing Week one, first game primetime, it means your team
- 1:08Speaker 3: is relevant and you are good.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It means your team was relevant last year for sure,
- 1:12Speaker 1: because a lot of times it is the Super Bowl repeat, right,
- 1:16Speaker 1: I don't know, a lot of times it's either the
- 1:19Speaker 1: super Bowl repeat or like one of the championship. So
- 1:22Speaker 1: that's fine. I just kind of felt bad for Kevin.
- 1:23Speaker 1: He's excited about it.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm ready because I feel like it's like a
- 1:28Speaker 3: revenge game and we have a good shot to your
- 1:31Speaker 3: point week one. You never know what's gonna happen in
- 1:32Speaker 3: Week one, and they have a new team. We have
- 1:34Speaker 3: a new team, and I think the Patriots are gonna
- 1:37Speaker 3: play pissed off this year. I know that the schedule
- 1:39Speaker 3: is gonna be a lot harder, but man, I'm ready.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Hold on, it's a revenge game from the Super Bowl.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Can there be a revenge game from the ultimate Game?
- 1:48Speaker 2: Well, yeah, you lost, so you're gonna get revenge a
- 1:50Speaker 2: different stage.
- 1:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Well, I'm anxious to see if Rabel keeps his job.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 1: The longer this lin, the more the chances are he
- 2:04Speaker 1: does not remain the coach. I've never thought he wasn't
- 2:07Speaker 1: going to be the coach. I would have said ninety
- 2:09Speaker 1: nine percent chance he stays the coach. A week after
- 2:12Speaker 1: the Russini stuff. Now I'm gonna say sixty eight percent
- 2:16Speaker 1: chance he stays the coach.
- 2:17Speaker 4: And what would it be just because it's such a
- 2:19Speaker 4: distraction from the team.
- 2:20Speaker 1: There's just new stuff that keeps coming up, and no
- 2:22Speaker 1: owner wants a distraction. Luckily for him, he went to
- 2:24Speaker 1: the Super Bowl last year. Yeah, I think had they
- 2:26Speaker 1: fell out in the wildcar round, I don't think he'd
- 2:30Speaker 1: have his job still, do you, Kevin?
- 2:32Speaker 3: No, I don't think so either, especially if they miss
- 2:35Speaker 3: the playoffs. It's too much, it really is. It just
- 2:38Speaker 3: keeps coming and coming. So I pray I wake up
- 2:41Speaker 3: every day and I pray that there's no more photos
- 2:43Speaker 3: of being leaked today so he can keep his job
- 2:45Speaker 3: and our team can be good.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Did you see the picture of her kissing her husband?
- 2:49Speaker 3: I did on Mother's Day?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Oh recent picture.
- 2:52Speaker 4: It was for sure set up, but it was taken
- 2:55Speaker 4: by a bystander in public.
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's an interesting person to take it.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yes, yes, okay, bystander. But they kind of
- 3:05Speaker 1: staged it to where they knew they were being looked at,
- 3:07Speaker 1: Like you could see the wedding ring on. He was
- 3:09Speaker 1: kissing her on the mouth. His hat was backwards so
- 3:11Speaker 1: he could see his face.
- 3:13Speaker 3: She had a kid, in her hands.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Oh I didn't remember that part.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah, she had one kid. She was holding one kid.
- 3:19Speaker 2: So yeah, I hope he gets to keep his job.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I hope they were Sini family stays together, bounce and
- 3:26Speaker 1: is stronger from it. Yes, I hope the story goes away. Yeah,
- 3:30Speaker 1: there was a time when I was entertained by it.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Now I feel bad for them. Yeah, man, I'm with
- 3:34Speaker 1: you now. It's like who we're real life. It was
- 3:37Speaker 1: real life to begin with. But for that kind of stuff,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I like to see a glimpse of it and then
- 3:42Speaker 1: go on and fix it. I think the two reasons
- 3:44Speaker 1: that it continues to exist are. Number one, they obviously
- 3:49Speaker 1: lied about it at the beginning, because they released that
- 3:52Speaker 1: statement and they were like, no girls trip driving up.
- 3:56Speaker 2: We just happened to see each other, two old friends.
- 3:59Speaker 1: At this point, we can all agree that's a blatant lie, right,
- 4:02Speaker 1: That's a lie. And so when you lie, what it
- 4:05Speaker 1: does is it encourages people to prove you're lying. So
- 4:07Speaker 1: the story continues. It's just festering, right, So that's one
- 4:12Speaker 1: reason that it is still existing. And the second is
- 4:18Speaker 1: that TMZ didn't break it, and so now TMZ wants
- 4:20Speaker 1: to prove that they still have their chops because I
- 4:22Speaker 1: believe the New York.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Post broke the story. Oh I didn't realize that.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And now it's TMZ that continues it because they weren't
- 4:28Speaker 1: the breaker of the story, so they want to continue
- 4:29Speaker 1: to prove Okay, we didn't break it, but no, guys,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but we're still good at this.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I think that's been a part of it too. Kevin,
- 4:35Speaker 2: your thoughts on.
- 4:36Speaker 3: That, Yeah, that's a good point. I haven't really thought
- 4:38Speaker 3: about that, actually, because I know that New York Posts
- 4:40Speaker 3: did break it, and now everything that is trickled after
- 4:44Speaker 3: has been TMZ for the most part, I believe. So
- 4:46Speaker 3: I haven't even thought about that. And they are ruthless.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and they're embarrassed because they weren't the ones to
- 4:52Speaker 1: break the story. I think they actually passed on the
- 4:55Speaker 1: pictures because whomever was shopping them was a low number
- 4:58Speaker 1: they were shopping them for, I believe if I read correctly,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and I may not have, but I think I did.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I think they passed on the pictures and it ended
- 5:05Speaker 1: up being this massive story and they're like, oh, we
- 5:07Speaker 1: look like fools, because that's that's our beat, just gossip, cheating, celebrities,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and we're not the people owning it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: So what else is making this story last?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Like?
- 5:18Speaker 4: Is it the fact too that this has been going
- 5:20Speaker 4: on for so long that we're finding out that man,
- 5:22Speaker 4: they've been at this forever.
- 5:24Speaker 1: If they just came out immediately they were like, oh, yep,
- 5:28Speaker 1: we got caught.
- 5:29Speaker 2: That sucks, I'll do better.
- 5:30Speaker 1: This story doesn't go past that, Yeah, except in the
- 5:33Speaker 1: NFL circle.
- 5:35Speaker 2: That's the only place that exists.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But it doesn't exist like this because it's not really
- 5:38Speaker 1: a pop culture story.
- 5:39Speaker 2: You got an.
- 5:40Speaker 1: NFL coach that's never been in the popular culture news,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and you got someone that's even less famous than him
- 5:47Speaker 1: that's only known in the NFL circle. So none of
- 5:49Speaker 1: that should have broke and crossed over. And so the
- 5:55Speaker 1: reason it did is because they got caught lying about it.
- 5:58Speaker 2: Yep. So yeah, it's a bizarre story. I'd like for
- 6:02Speaker 2: it to go away.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I feel bad now I've been reporting on it way way,
- 6:04Speaker 1: way less because I do feel bad for them, But
- 6:07Speaker 1: I now the football season is starting.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You don't think he's gonna get that everywhere he goes. Yeah, signs,
- 6:12Speaker 2: it's gonna be everywhere. Yeah, brutal people yelling at.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Him anyway, congrats on week one Kevin. Hey, thanks do
- 6:19Speaker 1: you guys, And this is a real question, it's not
- 6:21Speaker 1: do you want to do you plan to go to
- 6:23Speaker 1: any games this year?
- 6:25Speaker 2: Man? I hadn't planned on it at all.
- 6:28Speaker 4: However, when the schedule came out and this just happened
- 6:31Speaker 4: to be a thing because my son, it turns thirteen
- 6:34Speaker 4: in September, and all my boys when they turned thirteen,
- 6:37Speaker 4: we told him, like, pick one place in the United
- 6:39Speaker 4: States to go that you want to visit, and we will.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Take you there.
- 6:42Speaker 4: It's kind of like your thirteen year old present, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 4: your whatever you're growing up, go see the world. So
- 6:49Speaker 4: my son had already picked New York City as the
- 6:52Speaker 4: place he wants to go when he turns thirteen.
- 6:53Speaker 2: That's in September.
- 6:55Speaker 1: The schedule comes out and the Cowboys are playing the
- 6:57Speaker 1: Giants in New York City, and now he is like, Dad,
- 7:01Speaker 1: do you think we can do this?
- 7:03Speaker 2: That would be cool for you too.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Would be great. However, is it dangerous in there for
- 7:10Speaker 4: visiting teams? No, like I would never go see him
- 7:13Speaker 4: in Philly, like I would never.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Go see you.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I can even do that is if you're not fighting anybody.
- 7:17Speaker 1: It's not gonna be dangerous. The only place I would
- 7:19Speaker 1: ever worry of any stadium of any team period in
- 7:23Speaker 1: all United States sports, and I wouldn't even worry because
- 7:26Speaker 1: I would go. But the only place that I would
- 7:28Speaker 1: worry if I were wearing opposing gear, that anything bad
- 7:32Speaker 1: could happen to me is blank. And it's not Philly. Huh,
- 7:36Speaker 1: where do you think it is, Mike Tennessee. No sc
- 7:41Speaker 1: fans are awesome. Generally speaking, there's some rotten batches. There's
- 7:44Speaker 1: rotten batches everywhere, and usually it's drunkenness.
- 7:47Speaker 2: But not NFL. I'm just any pro sports team.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I was thinking, like the Raiders man in Oakland, that
- 7:52Speaker 1: would have been bad for sure. No, they're awesome too.
- 7:55Speaker 1: They're just passionate. If you don't try to like fight
- 7:57Speaker 1: somebody or drunk. Nobody really messes with folks.
- 7:59Speaker 4: Okay, something in college, now, where would it be dangerous?
- 8:06Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's not college. I don't feel like no colleges are awesome.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I've been to some situations. Texas.
- 8:13Speaker 2: They were really rude to me, but they were really.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Drunk and we were winning like all, and I was
- 8:17Speaker 1: seated in a weird place like, there are a lot
- 8:21Speaker 1: of factors that went that went down for that to happen,
- 8:24Speaker 1: but it's rare.
- 8:26Speaker 2: But we're the only place I would worry. So, Kevin,
- 8:29Speaker 2: you want to take.
- 8:30Speaker 1: A shot, Yeah, Dodger stated, that's exactly it, Dodgers. If
- 8:34Speaker 1: I were rooting for the opposing team and I had
- 8:37Speaker 1: on gear, let's just say I have San Fransco Giants
- 8:40Speaker 1: gear on and I'm walking out, that's the only place
- 8:42Speaker 1: I would be like, hmm, I should just kind of
- 8:44Speaker 1: look around. Really, that's it. Wow, I can get all
- 8:48Speaker 1: the pro sports, but have you been to a game?
- 8:51Speaker 2: Never been?
- 8:51Speaker 4: But and when I watch on TV, I guess I
- 8:53Speaker 4: really don't see a lot of visiting jerseys.
- 8:56Speaker 6: No.
- 8:56Speaker 1: I think it's just what you hear about afterward in
- 8:57Speaker 1: like the parking lots, because a lot of those fights
- 9:00Speaker 1: tend to be after the games in the parking lots.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And it also is probably drunk people. It's probably people
- 9:04Speaker 1: that are mouthed and they won. The Dodgers lost. You
- 9:06Speaker 1: got fair, But that's the only place I've concerned.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Maybe my Instagram algorithm is all on fights and I'm
- 9:14Speaker 4: getting a lot of fights at sports places. People drink
- 9:17Speaker 4: and they don't care kids are around. So I'm like, man,
- 9:19Speaker 4: are they gonna beat me up in front of my
- 9:20Speaker 4: kid if I go to a Giants game?
- 9:22Speaker 1: But they're not if you don't get mouthy back, because
- 9:24Speaker 1: that would be the worst. My dad be like, my
- 9:26Speaker 1: dad got his butt kicked.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Kevin. You love in South of California. Does the Dodgers
- 9:30Speaker 2: thing make sense to you? Yeah?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Absolutely. I actually did go to a twenty eighteen World
- 9:34Speaker 3: Series game when they're playing the Red Sox. I think
- 9:36Speaker 3: it's Game four, I believe, and the Red Sox came
- 9:38Speaker 3: back and won that game. Dodgers fans were pissed, and
- 9:42Speaker 3: I knew, my dad knew, and our friend knew, Like,
- 9:45Speaker 3: don't say anything while walking out, And then there was
- 9:48Speaker 3: my drunk brother just sitting there just screaming, oh yeah
- 9:51Speaker 3: about those Red Sox. And we had to tell them
- 9:52Speaker 3: so many times, you'd shut up, we're gonna get killed.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Did you get beat up?
- 9:56Speaker 3: No, we didn't. But there is definitely some people that
- 9:58Speaker 3: you could tell the look in their eye they wanted to.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It's alcohol that does it?
- 10:03Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 1: And then if you're already generally living on edge, and
- 10:07Speaker 1: then it's the alcohol, and then it's you're obnoxious. Why
- 10:10Speaker 1: you're drunk, because you're just not gonna get beat up
- 10:13Speaker 1: for wearing another team's uniform walking out of any stadium.
- 10:16Speaker 3: You're just not.
- 10:18Speaker 2: No one's that mad. It just picks up.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I should say that that there have been situations where
- 10:21Speaker 1: people have walked up and punched.
- 10:22Speaker 2: People when the guy got like that out of nowhere.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, but that's rare. That's just very
- 10:27Speaker 1: really drunk.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and that was a Philly fan, and that Philly
- 10:30Speaker 4: is yeah, as an Eagles fan.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know that that's true. I
- 10:35Speaker 2: think it was.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know. I don't know a specific instance.
- 10:38Speaker 1: I've just heard of those type stories where people just
- 10:40Speaker 1: punch chewed I remember, and I think he got arrested
- 10:42Speaker 1: and everything. It was a bad deal.
- 10:43Speaker 4: I think you just fight an anti Philly right now
- 10:45Speaker 4: more than any I'll definitely look at the prices. I mean,
- 10:49Speaker 4: season opener in New York.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Against the Cowboys.
- 10:53Speaker 4: I feel like that's a pricey ticket, but I'm gonna
- 10:56Speaker 4: look into it because that would be amazing for both
- 10:58Speaker 4: of us.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Something that the UFL is doing, which I like, is
- 11:02Speaker 1: that they are allowing refs to be interviewed about questionable
- 11:05Speaker 1: calls after games.
- 11:06Speaker 2: That's cool. I love that.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and remember the kickoff rule was first like an
- 11:12Speaker 1: XFL rule, and they can use these leagues to test
- 11:16Speaker 1: out certain things see how they do, possibly move them up.
- 11:18Speaker 1: It's basically the Talcobill test kitchen. Yes, yes, so the UFL,
- 11:24Speaker 1: which is pretty cool. They are even during games, sideline
- 11:28Speaker 1: reporters can approach the officiating crew and interview them in
- 11:31Speaker 1: certain spots of the game, and then referees can explain
- 11:35Speaker 1: what actually happened with calls that appear to be controversial.
- 11:39Speaker 1: It also gives fans a peak behind the curtain. It
- 11:41Speaker 1: gives perspective on the decision making, and then even afterward
- 11:45Speaker 1: they can answer questions about it, which I think is
- 11:48Speaker 1: great and I think in the age of betting, I
- 11:49Speaker 1: think this needs to happen. Yes, pre betting referees are
- 11:54Speaker 1: kind of unicorns. Who knows if they're real or not.
- 11:56Speaker 1: They're making decisions, they disappear. We don't even know what
- 11:58Speaker 1: they look like in real life. Now with being I
- 12:00Speaker 1: think there needs to be explanations even on wrong calls.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It's like what they saw on why.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Otherwise people will go, oh, the gambling is affecting it
- 12:11Speaker 1: and it's rigged, because I don't think it is. I
- 12:15Speaker 1: think there are certain players that will do things, and
- 12:17Speaker 1: we've seen those players get arrested. Yes, like if it's
- 12:21Speaker 1: under two rebounds and somebody puts a million dollars on
- 12:24Speaker 1: under two rebounds for Terry Rogier, Yeah that's and I'm
- 12:28Speaker 1: just making up a story here. Yeah that's screams fish.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So I do like them, that's really cool.
- 12:34Speaker 4: But as fans man, we have to just take that
- 12:38Speaker 4: for what it is, like accept it. If a ref
- 12:41Speaker 4: says like, yeah, he didn't catch the ball, like he
- 12:43Speaker 4: didn't have his feet in whatever, then we can no
- 12:46Speaker 4: longer argue, nah it was a catch, Like nah, no,
- 12:48Speaker 4: we lost it because that call. If he says what
- 12:51Speaker 4: it is and everyone agrees, like, we have to just
- 12:53Speaker 4: take it for what it is. You think fans are
- 12:54Speaker 4: just going to take it for what it is, But
- 12:56Speaker 4: that's no chance we should. There's no chance.
- 12:59Speaker 1: The other thing was I wanted to acknowledge was Kevin's
- 13:02Speaker 1: twins are a year old.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Wow, that's wild.
- 13:06Speaker 3: Yeah, crazy guys, time fly, you're already feeling it. I'm sure, man,
- 13:11Speaker 3: it's crazy.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I saw your Instagram and at first it was Kevin
- 13:14Speaker 1: talking about his babies, and I was like, please, don't
- 13:16Speaker 1: be one of these influencer type things. Yeah, I know,
- 13:19Speaker 1: and I'm all for it, like do your thing. But
- 13:22Speaker 1: a bit I was like, oh this kind of firstimes
- 13:24Speaker 1: I kind of get it's a little crunchy, but it's
- 13:26Speaker 1: got to be crunchy, right, do it till it works
- 13:29Speaker 1: part of it. But I was like, oh no. And
- 13:31Speaker 1: then he's like they're one. I was like, oh, that's awesome.
- 13:34Speaker 1: He's not trying to do bottle station in or whatever
- 13:36Speaker 1: you're doing, but drink station Yeah yeah, yah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Congratulations man, that's really cool.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 3: It's crazy to think about. It's and I was talking
- 13:45Speaker 3: to my wife about it, and it's like they're no
- 13:48Speaker 3: longer you know, eight months old, eight and a half
- 13:50Speaker 3: months old. Now, it's like they're a year old. So
- 13:52Speaker 3: you put the year on it, which is just wild
- 13:55Speaker 3: to wrap our head around because it seemed like we
- 13:57Speaker 3: were never ever going to get there and we're here.
- 14:00Speaker 3: It's gonna take a while to get used to, but
- 14:02Speaker 3: it's just crazy to think about.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Watch out though, because some parents still do the Oh yeah,
- 14:06Speaker 4: my son's fourteen months old.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, what is that? Twelve plus two?
- 14:08Speaker 6: Oh?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Okay, you have trouble.
- 14:10Speaker 1: You have trouble with math, because, like he's right, I
- 14:13Speaker 1: love it when you get to that year point because yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 1: my kids won, my kids two when they you get
- 14:17Speaker 1: rid of those months, dude, it gets so complicated. Do
- 14:20Speaker 1: you have trouble with military time? I don't even try
- 14:22Speaker 1: military time.
- 14:23Speaker 2: That that tricks. Do you have anything in military time?
- 14:26Speaker 1: No? But if somebody says the time, I know exactly
- 14:28Speaker 1: what time it is. Okay, if it's like sixteen twenty,
- 14:30Speaker 1: what's that?
- 14:31Speaker 4: Give me a second, twelve, thirteen fifty six. That's four
- 14:35Speaker 4: o'clock four twenty four to twenty, is that right?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:39Speaker 1: Okay, you get there. Yeah, I have to count it out,
- 14:41Speaker 1: like nineteen seventeen.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Oh boy, sixteen was four sotour?
- 14:48Speaker 2: Uh seven? Which was the second?
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 14:53Speaker 2: Yeah, seventeen seven, yeah, seven seventeen.
- 14:55Speaker 1: The easy way to do it is twelve, right, Yeah,
- 14:59Speaker 1: that's the clock, and then anything plus twelve just starts
- 15:02Speaker 1: over at one. Explain that thirteen hundred hours one o'clock, yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 1: one o'clock. Yeah, fourteen two, fifteen three on down? Is
- 15:10Speaker 1: that not how it goes in your head? I just
- 15:12Speaker 1: have to count it out. I started twelve, but then
- 15:14Speaker 1: if you give me a nineteen, I'm like, oh great,
- 15:18Speaker 1: nineteen minus twelve is oh see.
- 15:20Speaker 4: I'd rather go twenty four minus go to the twenty
- 15:24Speaker 4: four and then making it more difficult.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Really, I just subtract two from it.
- 15:27Speaker 7: What do you mean if it's nineteen, you just say
- 15:30Speaker 7: minus two at seventeen, So I'd just say seven, So
- 15:33Speaker 7: you're doing minus twelve then yeah, hold on, he's here
- 15:36Speaker 7: in my head though.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so it's fifteen. We all have a way that works.
- 15:39Speaker 4: So it's fifteen minus two. So five minus two is three,
- 15:43Speaker 4: so it's three o'clock.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:45Speaker 1: If you don't so, you'd you'd really just be doing
- 15:47Speaker 1: the two off the back number, not the whole thing.
- 15:49Speaker 2: That's legit, Mike, I could do that.
- 15:52Speaker 3: I've never heard that.
- 15:53Speaker 1: So twenty one hundred hours is okay? Twenty one oh
- 15:56Speaker 1: negative one?
- 15:57Speaker 2: Okay, see what time is that? Is that eleven? No,
- 16:04Speaker 2: it's not eleven.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Twenty three would be eleven. Okay, gosh, it's so hard.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And my dumb brother, he liked everything in his car,
- 16:11Speaker 1: his house and clocks. Everything's military time. You're such an idiot.
- 16:16Speaker 2: That's awesome, Kevin, congratulations, man, thank you, that's super cool.
- 16:19Speaker 1: We just did not nine weeks this week, nine weeks
- 16:23Speaker 1: while you're still in the weeks. It's crazy mm.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Hmmm, because if you say two months in one week,
- 16:29Speaker 2: that's too many words. Yes, it is minus two.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Because I'm not that guy who's going to do the
- 16:34Speaker 1: weeks in the months the whole time. But mostly it's
- 16:35Speaker 1: like word efficiency. Yeah, so yeah, we were at nine weeks.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Now you feel like time is flying.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I feel like it is a snap of a fingers
- 16:42Speaker 1: and gone. But there's an element of it that feels
- 16:45Speaker 1: like every freaking day is twenty seven hours long. Yeah,
- 16:50Speaker 1: it's just exhausting, and not like exhausting lifting heavy things,
- 16:55Speaker 1: just constant attention. Like my brain's fried a lot because
- 16:57Speaker 1: I used to get off work and take a minute eat,
- 17:01Speaker 1: maybe do some other work, or if I was like
- 17:03Speaker 1: super fried, thirty minutes, play a little PlayStation, give them
- 17:06Speaker 1: mind right before I start back again, or go work out.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Now it's like, as soon as I get off work,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I might get to do nothing except go to baby.
- 17:13Speaker 1: If Caitlin's not feeling well or and then it's his
- 17:15Speaker 1: baby until bedtime and the days are one hundred years long.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Yeah, feels like man.
- 17:21Speaker 4: My son graduated kindergarten yesterday and they had balloons that
- 17:25Speaker 4: said class of two thousand.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Thirty eight crazy, And I was like, Oh my gosh,
- 17:33Speaker 1: I'm going to be.
- 17:34Speaker 2: So old when this dude graduates high school.
- 17:36Speaker 1: That's what I feel like about picturing my daughter getting older,
- 17:39Speaker 1: is that I'm going to be one hundred Yeah.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like, they're gonna have to put us in
- 17:43Speaker 2: Walkers Zoo to go to this graduation.
- 17:50Speaker 1: All right, let's welcome in Law Murray, NBA writer for
- 17:52Speaker 1: the Athletic based in LA, one of the go two
- 17:55Speaker 1: reporters when it comes to the Clippers and really anything
- 17:57Speaker 1: NBA related. Been covering the NBA for years. Join the
- 18:00Speaker 1: Athletic in twenty twenty one and go check out his riding.
- 18:03Speaker 1: It's fantastic, especially now when it's all NBA. Go to
- 18:06Speaker 1: the Athletic dot com. Law appreciate you coming in. I
- 18:09Speaker 1: do want to go first to Lebron Is he a
- 18:12Speaker 1: Laker next year? Does he play in the NBA at
- 18:14Speaker 1: all next year?
- 18:15Speaker 6: And good morning to you guys. I really think Lebron's
- 18:20Speaker 6: going to be in the NBA, whether it's with the Lakers,
- 18:23Speaker 6: that's what I'm most interested in. I think both sides
- 18:26Speaker 6: would be interested in certain conditions.
- 18:29Speaker 5: I think that's what the posturing is here.
- 18:32Speaker 6: I think the Lakers don't want to pay Lebron like
- 18:36Speaker 6: a MAX player at the age that he's at, the
- 18:38Speaker 6: phase vis career that he's at, given the shortcomings that
- 18:42Speaker 6: they have.
- 18:43Speaker 5: You have to keep in mind like.
- 18:45Speaker 6: Since the bubble, they've only advanced in the playoffs twice
- 18:49Speaker 6: in the last six postseasons, and they and both of
- 18:53Speaker 6: those postseasons ended in sweeps and the conference finals in
- 18:56Speaker 6: twenty twenty three and just now in the Conference semifinals
- 18:59Speaker 6: in twenty twenty. So that's what the Lakers' perspective is.
- 19:03Speaker 6: And for Lebron, he's still that dude. I mean, he
- 19:06Speaker 6: might not be an MVP candidate, he might not be Luca,
- 19:11Speaker 6: but that dude.
- 19:13Speaker 5: Just deferred to Austin Reeves, you know what I'm saying.
- 19:15Speaker 6: Like, he's he's a player who is still one of
- 19:20Speaker 6: the better players in the NBA, certainly in All Star
- 19:23Speaker 6: caliber talent, and he could be that to a number
- 19:27Speaker 6: of teams in the NBA. I would dare say, all,
- 19:30Speaker 6: but you know, we can be reasonable. So he's not
- 19:32Speaker 6: going to consider every NBA team and he shouldn't, So
- 19:35Speaker 6: I think that's that's the tricky part there. I think
- 19:39Speaker 6: both sides in some aspects could use each other and
- 19:43Speaker 6: maybe even need each other. But the Lakers aren't trying
- 19:46Speaker 6: to pay the most Lebron, and Bron's not trying to
- 19:48Speaker 6: pay for the play for the minimum.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It seems to me that from very far out that
- 19:53Speaker 1: Lebron has a decision to make. Does he want to
- 19:56Speaker 1: try to win another championship or does he want to
- 19:59Speaker 1: make a lot of money because both kind of can't
- 20:01Speaker 1: happen because if he gets a max deal somewhere, he's
- 20:04Speaker 1: going to be taking the lion's share of money, maybe
- 20:05Speaker 1: him in one other guy, and that's probably not conducive
- 20:09Speaker 1: to having a team that's gonna win a championship because
- 20:11Speaker 1: he's not gonna be the number one guy, possibly number
- 20:13Speaker 1: two guy. So would you say that that assessment is
- 20:16Speaker 1: accurate that he has to decide between money and maybe
- 20:18Speaker 1: having a shot to win another one.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I think there's a happy medium.
- 20:21Speaker 6: I mean, he's gonna get paid, and where the floor
- 20:26Speaker 6: is for Lebron, I think is the question. Again, We're
- 20:29Speaker 6: not talking about a dude just saying I'll take the
- 20:32Speaker 6: minimum to play. You know, he's Lebron's never taken a
- 20:37Speaker 6: pay cut, not to my recollection, and maybe that's the consideration.
- 20:42Speaker 6: It's like how much if you look at Tom Brady
- 20:45Speaker 6: and I know Lebron that buyers Tom Brady, and especially
- 20:49Speaker 6: what Tom Brady was able to do, not just in
- 20:51Speaker 6: his forties but in his post New England Patriots career,
- 20:55Speaker 6: but playing quarterback in the NFL. It's like, yeah, I'm
- 20:58Speaker 6: gonna make this up by just having the talent to
- 21:02Speaker 6: play with and obviously being Tom Brady, there are options
- 21:07Speaker 6: that you have. Does Lebron have that approach? And that
- 21:11Speaker 6: is an adjustment That's something that you have to kind
- 21:13Speaker 6: of really wrap your mind around. It's like, what are
- 21:16Speaker 6: you playing for? How much are you playing for? What's
- 21:19Speaker 6: going to be satisfying to you to where you can
- 21:22Speaker 6: be happy enough to focus on trying to win that championship,
- 21:26Speaker 6: like Lebron not going to the Sacramento Kings. Like that's
- 21:30Speaker 6: what I meant earlier when I was like, look, every
- 21:33Speaker 6: team could use him in some aspect, but it's not
- 21:35Speaker 6: like you can cut like forty percent of the NBA
- 21:38Speaker 6: out of that conversation. And so that's I think that's
- 21:42Speaker 6: the biggest thing for Lebron is adjusting to what the
- 21:47Speaker 6: adjustment is.
- 21:49Speaker 1: It seemed to me like over the last couple of
- 21:51Speaker 1: years the Lakers they didn't have a big man like
- 21:53Speaker 1: DeAndre and he ain't it. We were able to see that,
- 21:56Speaker 1: and so Lebron had to carry him through the first series. Obviously,
- 22:00Speaker 1: Thunder they just suffocate you. No one really expected the
- 22:03Speaker 1: Lakers to win the series. And it's forty one year old.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Dude's still out there playing like real basketball, like Leber.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Like you said, Lebron may not be a top five guy,
- 22:11Speaker 1: but he's a top twenty five guys still at age
- 22:14Speaker 1: forty one. But for the Lakers to get a big guy,
- 22:16Speaker 1: they need money and they don't have money because they
- 22:18Speaker 1: got three dudes now sucking up all the payroll, which
- 22:21Speaker 1: are Luca, Austin Reeves and Lebron. So something's got a budge, right, right.
- 22:26Speaker 6: It's not just that it's three dudes either, it's those
- 22:29Speaker 6: three dudes. Like you saw what the Oklahoma City thunder
- 22:34Speaker 6: did anytime Austin Reeves was in coverage, like it was
- 22:38Speaker 6: fade on site. So you think that's going to be
- 22:43Speaker 6: better with Luca Dungic like you have. The Lakers are
- 22:47Speaker 6: setting themselves up to have their two most prominent shot
- 22:53Speaker 6: creators be players that they need to protect in one way.
- 22:58Speaker 5: Or the other.
- 22:58Speaker 6: The reason the Lake and people are gonna talk about
- 23:01Speaker 6: DeAndre Ayton and the centers, And I mean, look, DeAndre
- 23:04Speaker 6: Ayton probably should opt out and see what options he
- 23:08Speaker 6: has out there. You know, he's probably better than an
- 23:11Speaker 6: eight million dollar player, but I don't think you find
- 23:14Speaker 6: a lot of teams willing to trust him on a
- 23:16Speaker 6: multi year contract that pays him, say thirty million, right, Like,
- 23:22Speaker 6: if you really look at it, Ayton's not a bad
- 23:25Speaker 6: run protector. He's not a special one. But if he's there,
- 23:27Speaker 6: he's okay. Jackson Hayes was decent in a backup role
- 23:33Speaker 6: when the Lakers had issues offensively, it was because one
- 23:36Speaker 6: of those dudes is away from the basket and your
- 23:38Speaker 6: low man is someone like Austin Reeves or Luka Dancic, Like,
- 23:43Speaker 6: you're gonna make a lot of layup shift. That's your
- 23:45Speaker 6: last line of defense in a help or a rotation situation.
- 23:50Speaker 6: And so that's that's the question. It's like, yeah, Lebron
- 23:54Speaker 6: can't make a lot given the pay bump that Austin
- 23:57Speaker 6: Reeves is about to get, because you have to fill
- 24:01Speaker 6: out your roster because you need depth. And it's not
- 24:03Speaker 6: just a defense. The Lakers were probably a worse offense
- 24:08Speaker 6: than they should have been given to some other parts
- 24:12Speaker 6: because of a depth issue. There was a there's a
- 24:15Speaker 6: lack of skill when one of Lebron or Luca or
- 24:18Speaker 6: Austin were out. And guess what, there were a lot
- 24:21Speaker 6: of games where at least one of those dudes weren't available.
- 24:24Speaker 6: That's why it took until March for those dudes to click.
- 24:27Speaker 6: And that's why I took Lebron sacrificing and saying, Austin,
- 24:30Speaker 6: you do your thing as the second guy and I'll
- 24:33Speaker 6: fall back for it to actually, you know, Marin Nate,
- 24:38Speaker 6: there's a lot to be considered, and Lebron's contract is
- 24:41Speaker 6: the big swing factor.
- 24:43Speaker 1: If Lebron doesn't stay with the Lakers, I don't know
- 24:46Speaker 1: to meet Cleveland Golden State, Like where do you think
- 24:49Speaker 1: Lebron would end up or want to play?
- 24:51Speaker 5: I don't know if he'd want to play.
- 24:53Speaker 6: And be honest with you, I got like I'm just
- 24:56Speaker 6: being real, Like I feel like a lot of people
- 24:58Speaker 6: are just talking Lebron and I'm part of that now,
- 25:01Speaker 6: you know, Like I know that going to Cleveland for
- 25:06Speaker 6: him would serve a whole lot more people that aren't
- 25:09Speaker 6: named Lebron James. And I think you got to really
- 25:13Speaker 6: look at that. It's like every I think everyone looks
- 25:15Speaker 6: at Lebron and looks at the stories that they want
- 25:18Speaker 6: to tell. And you know, they did the same thing
- 25:20Speaker 6: with JJ Reddick. It's like JJ Reddick got mad Steve
- 25:23Speaker 6: Kerb pat Riley comps, you know, which has said more
- 25:28Speaker 6: about the people wanting to write those stories than it
- 25:30Speaker 6: did about JJ Reddick, you know. And I thought and
- 25:33Speaker 6: still think JJ Reddick did really well as head coach
- 25:38Speaker 6: this year. He was better even if the results were
- 25:41Speaker 6: pretty similar to the year before. And I think JJ
- 25:45Speaker 6: would tell you that as well. So I don't want
- 25:48Speaker 6: to see Lebron.
- 25:49Speaker 5: James play for the Golden State Warriors. I'll tell you
- 25:51Speaker 5: that right now.
- 25:52Speaker 6: I don't know if Lebron wants that, Like people want
- 25:56Speaker 6: that because people want to cover the Golden State Warriors,
- 25:59Speaker 6: a team that, if you really zoom out, aren't good
- 26:02Speaker 6: enough to be given this level of coverage and haven't
- 26:04Speaker 6: been for years. So like, I think it's between the
- 26:10Speaker 6: Lakers and the Cavs, to be honest with you, and
- 26:12Speaker 6: the Cleton Cavaliers thing.
- 26:14Speaker 5: It's like it would be easy.
- 26:17Speaker 6: But Lebron would have to get there mentally and emotionally
- 26:20Speaker 6: to do it, whereas with the Lakers, you don't have
- 26:23Speaker 6: to make those same adjustments. It's just a matter of
- 26:25Speaker 6: how much do you want to sacrifice to play with
- 26:27Speaker 6: these dudes again? And you know what, the chemistry wasn't
- 26:30Speaker 6: that bad. It's just going to be a business thing.
- 26:33Speaker 6: Will they handle the business in a way that doesn't
- 26:35Speaker 6: calls Lebron James to be like, Okay, I gotta not
- 26:38Speaker 6: play for these dudes next year.
- 26:40Speaker 2: How pumped up are the clips they got that five pick?
- 26:43Speaker 6: They're very excited, I mean very excited, and they anticipated
- 26:49Speaker 6: the chance of excitement it that's what you do when
- 26:52Speaker 6: you make a trade of the magnitude that they made
- 26:55Speaker 6: in February. It's like, look, there's a slightly less than
- 26:59Speaker 6: fifty to fifty chance that that's going to come up.
- 27:01Speaker 5: Roses for them.
- 27:03Speaker 6: I was sitting there and I'll tell you I emotionally
- 27:06Speaker 6: was not invested in the lottery like that, right, you know.
- 27:09Speaker 6: And I say emostly because naturally I've covered the team
- 27:13Speaker 6: for a long time. I think a lot of fans
- 27:16Speaker 6: think that if you cover a team, it's because you
- 27:18Speaker 6: wore Darius Miles jersey or something like that. And anyone
- 27:21Speaker 6: who knows me knows that's not the case. I think
- 27:23Speaker 6: people just be projecting. But I've been around those dudes.
- 27:26Speaker 6: I've got relationships with that organization, with the players, with
- 27:29Speaker 6: the coaches. I have written critically about them, and they've
- 27:35Speaker 6: let me know in certain terms how they felt about
- 27:39Speaker 6: what I got to say. Sometimes it's agreement. Sometimes they
- 27:43Speaker 6: need to get over themselves.
- 27:44Speaker 5: It is what it is.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Like.
- 27:45Speaker 6: I don't take it personal, but to see that envelope
- 27:49Speaker 6: with the Clippers on it, it put a reaction to
- 27:53Speaker 6: me that I've never had before because I've you know,
- 27:55Speaker 6: I'm from Philly. I moved to LA in twenty ten
- 27:58Speaker 6: when Alfredukaminu was there ten pick over Paul George, you know,
- 28:03Speaker 6: and like they've not had a top five pick since
- 28:06Speaker 6: Blake Griffin in two thousand and nine. Like the Clippers,
- 28:09Speaker 6: say what you want about their shortcomings and their lack
- 28:12Speaker 6: of postseason success, they have a winning record fifteen years
- 28:16Speaker 6: in a row. They have emptied out their asset chests
- 28:19Speaker 6: to get a team that only advanced to the conference
- 28:22Speaker 6: finals once and that was with Kawhi Leonard recovering from
- 28:25Speaker 6: a acl tair that the team didn't want to tell
- 28:27Speaker 6: us about when it happened.
- 28:29Speaker 5: So this is a huge moment for them.
- 28:31Speaker 6: It's a big swing point and they are excited, but
- 28:34Speaker 6: that also means they have a lot of work to
- 28:35Speaker 6: do because if they didn't get that pick, then it
- 28:37Speaker 6: would have been like, you know, business as usual, you know,
- 28:40Speaker 6: being picking in the first round because the Oklahoma City
- 28:44Speaker 6: come to have their lottery pick. But now it's like,
- 28:48Speaker 6: you can be excited, but you got to nail this
- 28:49Speaker 6: pick or you got to nail the decision that comes
- 28:51Speaker 6: with this pick. And looking at some of these dudes,
- 28:55Speaker 6: it's a lot that they're going to have to pick
- 28:58Speaker 6: between you.
- 28:58Speaker 5: As far as prison.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Cons Yeah, probably the best freshman class in college basketball
- 29:03Speaker 1: that I've ever seen in my life, at least based
- 29:05Speaker 1: on all the criteria they use to rank these guys.
- 29:08Speaker 1: Right there, and they've tiered them out the top four,
- 29:11Speaker 1: but even that second tier of like five through nine,
- 29:13Speaker 1: they would have been top three picks the last three
- 29:16Speaker 1: years in the draft. So I feel like you're five six, seven, eight,
- 29:19Speaker 1: like you still have a hard decision to make because
- 29:21Speaker 1: those are actually really good franchise type ball players.
- 29:24Speaker 6: Well they're really good players, but I see floor like
- 29:29Speaker 6: I see skinny dudes. I see dudes with a lack
- 29:33Speaker 6: of explosion. I see dudes with short arms, bad defense,
- 29:38Speaker 6: all kinds of things that you need to even the
- 29:42Speaker 6: better prospects. And there are guys that I like, and
- 29:44Speaker 6: there are traits that I like, But then you got
- 29:47Speaker 6: to look at your own team, like your two best players.
- 29:51Speaker 6: One is thirty four years old on their league investigation
- 29:54Speaker 6: and has a not great track record of durability and availability,
- 30:00Speaker 6: you know, one of the best in the league. But
- 30:01Speaker 6: still that's what we're looking at. How do you support
- 30:04Speaker 6: that player. He's not the biggest player in Kawhi Leonard
- 30:08Speaker 6: for those who thought I could possibly be talking about
- 30:10Speaker 6: anybody else. And then there's Darius Garland, a guy you
- 30:13Speaker 6: traded for, and the biggest thing with Darius besides the durability, availability, issues,
- 30:18Speaker 6: which I'd tell you if Darius Garland was more durable,
- 30:23Speaker 6: if you didn't have as many concerns there, he'd probably
- 30:25Speaker 6: still be in Cleveland.
- 30:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 30:28Speaker 6: A lot of the dudes that you could say make
- 30:31Speaker 6: up the bulk of the depth in this draft are
- 30:35Speaker 6: smaller guards. Like who do you draft that fits in
- 30:40Speaker 6: the short term, knowing that the draft is a long
- 30:43Speaker 6: term endeavor. That is the biggest question facing the Clippers, Like,
- 30:48Speaker 6: there are guys in this draft that can make a real.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Difference down the line.
- 30:53Speaker 6: What does that mean for the guys that you have
- 30:56Speaker 6: today on your roster?
- 30:58Speaker 2: How do you feel about Weimby is on schedule ahead
- 31:01Speaker 2: of it?
- 31:02Speaker 5: I would say a little bit ahead of it.
- 31:04Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean Wenby hasn't even gotten the rookie scale
- 31:09Speaker 6: extension yet that's coming, you know after the season, Like
- 31:15Speaker 6: this is his first playoff run and it's not a
- 31:19Speaker 6: playoff run where they don't have expectations and they're I mean,
- 31:24Speaker 6: these dudes could win a championship. They played like that
- 31:26Speaker 6: all regular season. They beat the best teams regularly all
- 31:30Speaker 6: regular season, and your only question was it just a
- 31:34Speaker 6: matter of the quote unquote experience? And I love this
- 31:38Speaker 6: series with the Minnesota Timberwolves, because Minnesota Timberwolves have made
- 31:41Speaker 6: a living in the last two years of beating teams
- 31:44Speaker 6: that people didn't trust him to beat, both because of
- 31:47Speaker 6: the makeup of their current team as well as the
- 31:49Speaker 6: way we talk about the Timberwolves. The Timberwolves are obviously
- 31:52Speaker 6: a team that win thirteen years by a playoff run.
- 31:57Speaker 5: They squandered most of Kevin Garnett's career.
- 32:00Speaker 6: These aren't those Simmerwolves, like the Timberwolves are going to
- 32:04Speaker 6: They know who they are at this time of the year.
- 32:06Speaker 6: And I'm so sad for the Timberolves because obviously physically
- 32:09Speaker 6: they're not the best version of themselves. But you know what,
- 32:11Speaker 6: a lot of teams are dealing with that. And the Timberwolves,
- 32:14Speaker 6: I remember them being down three to two in the
- 32:17Speaker 6: conference in my finals and beating the defending.
- 32:20Speaker 5: Champs that was just two years ago.
- 32:22Speaker 6: That's going to be the test, and Victor web Benyama
- 32:25Speaker 6: and the San Antonio Spurs closed out a team that
- 32:28Speaker 6: is not dead until they're dead. But I was I
- 32:32Speaker 6: was talking about this recently. I do not want to
- 32:36Speaker 6: get used to taking Victor wen Benyama for granted. Like
- 32:41Speaker 6: we're seeing things that you have to really do some yoga,
- 32:46Speaker 6: bigroom stretching to compare him to contemporaries, compare him to
- 32:53Speaker 6: dudes from previous generations playing a game that ain't being
- 32:57Speaker 6: played today. So yeah, I would say he's ahead even
- 33:02Speaker 6: with everything that has come with the expectations regarding Victor
- 33:06Speaker 6: winm Binyama and the takeover that we all expected when
- 33:09Speaker 6: he was drafted.
- 33:11Speaker 1: What do you think the skill set is he can
- 33:13Speaker 1: improve on in the offseason as he goes from this
- 33:15Speaker 1: season and next.
- 33:16Speaker 6: That's the thing I'm most excited about, because as great
- 33:20Speaker 6: as he is now being an MVP finalist, there are
- 33:23Speaker 6: things that you know he can be better at. Like
- 33:28Speaker 6: he's a good shooter, I wouldn't consider him a great shooter, right,
- 33:31Speaker 6: Like this is a dude who I mean? The Timberls
- 33:34Speaker 6: are in this series still because Victor missed all eight
- 33:38Speaker 6: three pointers that.
- 33:39Speaker 5: He took, which is two problems.
- 33:41Speaker 6: That's a shot selection thing, Like I'm gracious that a
- 33:45Speaker 6: guy with that level of not just size but the
- 33:49Speaker 6: skill to put the ball on the floor and get
- 33:51Speaker 6: to his spots would choose to have half of his
- 33:55Speaker 6: shot attempts come twenty three feet from the basket. So
- 34:00Speaker 6: you know, Victor is going to get better with that
- 34:03Speaker 6: part of it. That's two things, just a shooting skill
- 34:07Speaker 6: as well as the shot selection, the ability to put
- 34:12Speaker 6: the level of pressure offensively on a defense. And I
- 34:18Speaker 6: think he can still be a better playmaker. I think
- 34:20Speaker 6: he's the turnovers went down significantly, and the big part
- 34:23Speaker 6: of that is the ball is in the hands of
- 34:26Speaker 6: so many of those guards, you know.
- 34:28Speaker 5: And they all do different things.
- 34:29Speaker 6: I was not seeing how those guards were all going
- 34:33Speaker 6: to find their role and all play well. But between
- 34:37Speaker 6: the Aaron Fox, who you notice how he closes really well,
- 34:42Speaker 6: and Dylan Harper he comes in and he gives them
- 34:45Speaker 6: that different dynamic off the bench, and Stefan Castle, he
- 34:49Speaker 6: actually has been the guy to soak up more of
- 34:52Speaker 6: the ball handling and that has Fox taken a real
- 34:56Speaker 6: back seat.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Wenby.
- 34:57Speaker 6: Again, he doesn't have the ball in his hands as much,
- 35:01Speaker 6: but I still think Wemby can still be a better
- 35:03Speaker 6: playmaker or better decision maker. I mean a lot of
- 35:05Speaker 6: it is just what it comes down to how he
- 35:08Speaker 6: is Jew's and what he gets out of himself offensively,
- 35:13Speaker 6: Like this is a guy who could average thirty. This
- 35:16Speaker 6: is a guy who could average Morsis. This is a
- 35:18Speaker 6: guy who could be even cleaner with his shots, and
- 35:23Speaker 6: he's got his whole career to do all that.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Law, I really appreciate the time and the insight. And
- 35:28Speaker 1: you guys, not only can you read him on the
- 35:29Speaker 1: athletic we can follow him at law Murray the U.
- 35:32Speaker 1: But appreciate it. Really love your stuff now, especially we're
- 35:35Speaker 1: in the weeds of it. So thanks for taking some
- 35:36Speaker 1: time with us.
- 35:37Speaker 5: Hey, thank you so much. Man, have a great one,
- 35:39Speaker 5: say law.
- 35:45Speaker 1: So, the NFL has put out all the international games
- 35:48Speaker 1: for next year.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Which one would you like to go to most? You
- 35:52Speaker 2: know my answer?
- 35:53Speaker 1: Yeah, But it's not really about the team. It's like
- 35:55Speaker 1: the city. Oh yeah, don't do Cowboys. You can't do Cowboys. Okay,
- 35:58Speaker 1: that's favorite team. Because we could say Cowboys in McAllen,
- 36:01Speaker 1: Texas and you'd pick that one.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Dude, that would be a dream game. Where would they
- 36:05Speaker 2: do that though?
- 36:06Speaker 1: The high school stadium McCallan high School Stadium.
- 36:08Speaker 2: It seats two hundred people. That'd be pretty cool. Though.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's like the Savannah Bananas. They were going around playing
- 36:15Speaker 1: pop up games. They got in a bus and they
- 36:17Speaker 1: drove around like we're gonna play this high school sadium.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Everybody meet us there.
- 36:20Speaker 2: That's cool. What if the Cowboys did that? Amazing? My
- 36:23Speaker 2: whole family, aunts, uncles, cousins, they would love it.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Yeah, you wouldn't get in though, what you mean not
- 36:28Speaker 1: all those people. It's hard to get into two hundred people.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I'm not worried about them. I'm worried about me. Oh
- 36:33Speaker 1: and we got connections.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Here we go. Week one forty nine ers at RAMS
- 36:37Speaker 2: in Melbourne, Australia. One out of ten. How much would
- 36:41Speaker 2: you like to go? One? Wow? Australia is awesome? Yeah,
- 36:46Speaker 2: I know.
- 36:46Speaker 1: If it's a long flight, it's that's a commitment. A
- 36:49Speaker 1: lot of these are gonna be pretty long. I'm gonna
- 36:52Speaker 1: go Okay, I'll factor that in six out of ten
- 36:55Speaker 1: on the Melbourne.
- 36:56Speaker 2: But that's also gonna be a good game. Did you
- 36:58Speaker 2: go to Melbourne? Nope? To Sydney, yep. Okay. I think
- 37:02Speaker 2: the game though, is good.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Because some of these games, if it's like Jacksonville versus
- 37:08Speaker 1: the Jacksonville B team, that's usually what happened some oftime.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Brown Kevin, what about that game?
- 37:14Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a that's like an eight for me. Okay,
- 37:16Speaker 3: I really want to go to Australia. I've never been,
- 37:18Speaker 3: so that on top of the good game, I'm.
- 37:20Speaker 1: It Eddie is going to recuse himself from this one.
- 37:23Speaker 1: The Ravens versus the Cowboys in Rio Dijonario, Brazil, Gionnaro,
- 37:29Speaker 1: Rio desion NaIO.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Kevin, Yeah, man, that's a nine or for me?
- 37:35Speaker 2: Just go ten, dude, it's a five for me. Why
- 37:39Speaker 2: you're scared of Rio?
- 37:41Speaker 6: No?
- 37:43Speaker 1: South America not my thing, dude. It's beautiful over there though.
- 37:49Speaker 1: You have beaches, jungles, I've been mountains, but you've never
- 37:53Speaker 1: even to Brazil. No, But I've been to South America.
- 37:55Speaker 1: You've never even been, And you're trying to tell me
- 37:56Speaker 1: what South America's like. But there's no way, there's no
- 37:58Speaker 1: I have been, I know, but there's no way. All
- 38:00Speaker 1: of South America looks the same. But everything you just
- 38:03Speaker 1: said was in Costa Rica as well. But I like,
- 38:05Speaker 1: I've literally been.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never been. Yeah, not even close.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Mcallen's closest, probably to Mexico. Yeah, but that'd be close
- 38:12Speaker 1: to Central America. Indianapolis Colts and Washington Commanders in London.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Two. London's cool, But that's not the game. I want
- 38:26Speaker 2: to go see in London.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Nah, I don't like those teams and then London really
- 38:31Speaker 1: like my wife is English, I guess, but like you'd
- 38:34Speaker 1: like London though, is it cool?
- 38:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's London's awesome really. The food's fair.
- 38:39Speaker 1: It's always rainy, but everything's so old and it's really cool.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Like all the famous stuff you've ever seen through pictures,
- 38:45Speaker 1: you see them all there.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Just walking around London. That's pretty cool. Have you been
- 38:48Speaker 2: to London?
- 38:49Speaker 1: Right?
- 38:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been a couple of times. I'm not a
- 38:51Speaker 3: big fan of London.
- 38:52Speaker 1: Probably because you've been a couple of times. I meant
- 38:54Speaker 1: the first time you went, you were like, this is crazy.
- 38:55Speaker 2: They'd fish and chips.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Yeah that is true. Yeah, I mean like big band
- 38:59Speaker 3: and that is really cool to see. But it almost
- 39:01Speaker 3: seems like a like a La Europe or something. It's
- 39:06Speaker 3: a lot of money there, a lot of rich people there,
- 39:09Speaker 3: massive city.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:11Speaker 4: I feel like I would expect everything to be old,
- 39:14Speaker 4: but I know that it's modernized, you know, like parts.
- 39:18Speaker 4: But do you walk in a building from twelve hundred? Right,
- 39:20Speaker 4: But isn't it next to a skyscraper that was built
- 39:22Speaker 4: last year?
- 39:23Speaker 5: No?
- 39:23Speaker 2: Not really? Oh, it's like different parts.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, I can understand if you go to London
- 39:28Speaker 1: three times, like I'm over it because it's a massive city.
- 39:30Speaker 2: To me.
- 39:30Speaker 1: The first time I went was super cool because it's
- 39:32Speaker 1: just stuff I'd seen on television. Is that where like
- 39:34Speaker 1: the Mona Lisa is and everything? No, the Mona Lisa
- 39:37Speaker 1: is in Paris.
- 39:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:38Speaker 4: What's cool in London? Other than the big clock, big
- 39:42Speaker 4: bend and the old buildings. It's cool the freaking King
- 39:46Speaker 4: and Queen Buckingham Palace. That's crazy to watch the guards
- 39:48Speaker 4: stand there. I bet that's cool. That ers well that
- 39:53Speaker 4: goes around seeing it. Yeah, yeah, pretty cool.
- 39:55Speaker 5: Cool.
- 39:55Speaker 3: One big eye?
- 39:56Speaker 2: Yeah, is that what it's called?
- 39:58Speaker 3: I think the big Eye is what it's called.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Yet.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Next up Philadelphia Eagles versus Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Same,
- 40:08Speaker 1: I'd I'd rather go watch the Colts and Commanders than
- 40:11Speaker 1: that game. The next Next up, Houston Texans and Jacksonville
- 40:14Speaker 1: Jaguars in London.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Dude, the Jaguars are just going to stay in London,
- 40:18Speaker 2: they live over there. Dude.
- 40:20Speaker 1: Man, that game sucks too, getting worse the Steelers and
- 40:24Speaker 1: Saints in Paris. That sounds cool. That sounds cool. I'll
- 40:30Speaker 1: give that a six. Saints kind of blow, Steelers mid blow.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Paris maybe my second favorite city I've ever been to
- 40:36Speaker 1: out America.
- 40:36Speaker 2: I've heard you say that, so I feel like I
- 40:38Speaker 2: really need to see Paris. Kevin.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's up there. The only reason it's not
- 40:44Speaker 3: higher than the brazil one is because I've been to Paris.
- 40:46Speaker 3: But to your point, I love Paris. Paris is awesome.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Cincinnati versus Atlanta and Madrid.
- 40:54Speaker 4: Yes, ten, give me a ten. That's my homeland. Garcias
- 40:59Speaker 4: do we all came from Spain and you like the game. Nah,
- 41:03Speaker 4: I don't care about the game, but I just want to
- 41:04Speaker 4: go to Spain.
- 41:06Speaker 2: I'll go. I've never been. I go seven Kevin, Yeah,
- 41:13Speaker 2: six and a half. You been in Madrid?
- 41:15Speaker 3: Yeah, just for a quick weekend.
- 41:16Speaker 2: What's that like, Vin, from Barcelona? A bunch of thees
- 41:19Speaker 2: running around?
- 41:22Speaker 3: Actually, no, a Spain.
- 41:23Speaker 5: It's not.
- 41:24Speaker 3: It's not Mexico, but it is Spain. But Barcelona is
- 41:27Speaker 3: better because you're on the beach. Like Madrid is cool,
- 41:29Speaker 3: but it's not the beach, you know, like Madrid's capital.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 41:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 2: How's the food over there? Is it like good food?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Oh?
- 41:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's really good, but it does. It's the
- 41:42Speaker 3: the tapas everywhere you go. You know, you get the
- 41:44Speaker 3: paiea and the tapas everywhere. So it's not like a
- 41:46Speaker 3: big burrito or something like that, more just finger food.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Did you know what top is? That's the individual right,
- 41:52Speaker 1: small plates? Yeah, you get like individual like taco No
- 41:55Speaker 1: small plates.
- 41:56Speaker 2: What do you mean like appetizers?
- 41:58Speaker 4: Oh like okay, yeah yeah, not one? Yeah, but what
- 42:01Speaker 4: do you expect like burritos. I didn't think that was Spanish.
- 42:04Speaker 1: No, he said, like you and you want burritos. So
- 42:06Speaker 1: he's like, hey, dude, it's not burritos.
- 42:08Speaker 2: I know that, dude, it's Spain, it's not Mexico.
- 42:11Speaker 1: The Patriots Week ten, the Patriots versus the Detroit Lions
- 42:15Speaker 1: and Munich, Germany.
- 42:17Speaker 2: That'd be cool. I mean, I think that'd be cool.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I think Germany. Have you been to Germany? Yeah? Best
- 42:21Speaker 2: hot dog you ever had, that's right. Brief.
- 42:24Speaker 1: No, we stayed the night in Germany on the edge France,
- 42:28Speaker 1: Germany across the border, stayed there, so I felt very
- 42:31Speaker 1: French German. But then we stopped at Munich. I think
- 42:33Speaker 1: I'd like to spend more time in Germany. So yeah,
- 42:37Speaker 1: that's cool too. Seven and the game sounds pretty good. Yeah,
- 42:40Speaker 1: the game also would matter to the Patriots and Lions.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Kevin.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good one. I've actually been in that
- 42:45Speaker 3: stadium too, watched a soccer game there Byron Munich game.
- 42:48Speaker 1: It was awesome, kind of so cultured. He lived over there,
- 42:52Speaker 1: he like went to school there. I'm saying, but how
- 42:56Speaker 1: do you like go to school? And where'd you go
- 42:57Speaker 1: to school?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Kevin?
- 42:59Speaker 3: Barcelona, Oh, especially for three months. And I've been to
- 43:02Speaker 3: Europe like a couple times other than that. But she
- 43:05Speaker 3: just bounced around over there, no problem.
- 43:06Speaker 1: It's going state to state there. Yeah, I realize even
- 43:09Speaker 1: smaller than everything's so close.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Yeah, trained it everywhere you wake up you're in another country.
- 43:13Speaker 5: It's awesome.
- 43:14Speaker 1: It'd be like in the Northeast. If you're in New York,
- 43:16Speaker 1: you want to go to Connecticut. It's similar ish to
- 43:19Speaker 1: that Pennsylvania right there, unless you're in Ireland and you
- 43:21Speaker 1: can't get anywhere because I made that mistake and that's
- 43:23Speaker 1: an island.
- 43:24Speaker 2: That's an island.
- 43:24Speaker 1: You gotta go on iroplat It Vikings and forty nine
- 43:28Speaker 1: ers in Mexico City.
- 43:30Speaker 2: Zero zero.
- 43:33Speaker 1: That's a good game. Though zero. Dude, Mexico City is crazy.
- 43:39Speaker 2: I'm telling you.
- 43:39Speaker 4: I went to a Cowboys game there, Cowboys versus the
- 43:42Speaker 4: Raiders in Mexico City. Essteca I think is the name
- 43:47Speaker 4: of the stadium.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Ricky Martin sang the national anthem. Dude, it was crazy.
- 43:53Speaker 4: And then I remember I told you this story, but
- 43:55Speaker 4: I remember they were throwing like I don't know, something
- 43:58Speaker 4: happened like a bad call or something on the and
- 44:00Speaker 4: they started throwing water bottles like down, you know, people
- 44:04Speaker 4: in the top throwing them on the field. And whoever
- 44:06Speaker 4: I was with, he's from Mexico, friend of the family.
- 44:09Speaker 4: He's like, get down, cover yourself. I'm like, why, it's
- 44:12Speaker 4: just water, Like, it's not water. It was pe They
- 44:15Speaker 4: would pee in bottles and then chunk it.
- 44:18Speaker 1: So different world, man, all right, pick one of all those.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Hopefully you guys remembered which one would you go to.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I'm going to Espana. I forgot the game. I think
- 44:28Speaker 1: it's Atlanta and Cincinnati. Cincinnati, that's a that's maybe the
- 44:33Speaker 1: closest one to us.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Spain. Yeah, it's right there, Kevin you.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I hate to say this, but I gotta go.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Ravens Cowboys in in Brazil.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Let it go.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Great area, never been so that'd be awesome.
- 44:49Speaker 4: And it's not during Rio, but like, I'm sure they
- 44:52Speaker 4: party hard down there.
- 44:56Speaker 2: M I'm going to go, You're like, I'll watch them
- 44:59Speaker 2: all from TV.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Yeah, if I'm factoring in my wife going, we'd go
- 45:07Speaker 1: to Paris because that's a close one and you love
- 45:09Speaker 1: it already.
- 45:10Speaker 2: It's great.
- 45:10Speaker 1: But I think i'd probably go because of the game.
- 45:14Speaker 1: And if it was just me by myself to the
- 45:17Speaker 1: Patriots and Lions in.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Munich, Germany.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Nice.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'd put so many wingers in my mouth.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Get that hot dog. Yeah, it'd be NonStop when you
- 45:25Speaker 2: need it, like ah.
- 45:26Speaker 4: You know what I really like out of all those
- 45:28Speaker 4: trips is to see the jersey situation. Like I have
- 45:31Speaker 4: a theory that they're giving away those jerseys at the
- 45:33Speaker 4: door all the different seems because every time they show
- 45:37Speaker 4: the crowd, they were in every single jersey and they
- 45:39Speaker 4: look like they're just kind of like like they got
- 45:41Speaker 4: free tickets to the show.
- 45:43Speaker 1: My theory is there are a bunch of NFL fans
- 45:46Speaker 1: over there for a lot of different teams, but their
- 45:48Speaker 1: team's not coming and they still want to go to
- 45:50Speaker 1: the game. So they just wear the jersey the team
- 45:51Speaker 1: they have. Yeah, that would be the normal. That would
- 45:55Speaker 1: be my theory.
- 45:57Speaker 4: I feel like there's some of the door like, oh,
- 45:58Speaker 4: we never watch football here, here's this the Cincinnati Bengals outside.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Yeah, where is is somebody with a clipboard? Like all right,
- 46:04Speaker 1: we got seventeen Cincinnati jerseys out there?
- 46:06Speaker 5: All right?
- 46:07Speaker 2: Open the Jaguar box up? What team do you think
- 46:11Speaker 2: has the worst jersey helmet?
- 46:14Speaker 1: Like the ugly I was thinking about this yesterday, and
- 46:18Speaker 1: I think a little bit of a two is like
- 46:20Speaker 1: if you meet somebody in life and you don't like them,
- 46:24Speaker 1: their name is kind of spoiled on the list of
- 46:26Speaker 1: good names because you associate that name with that person.
- 46:30Speaker 1: So let's say I love the name Benji, and I
- 46:33Speaker 1: was like, man, Benji, it's a great name. But there's
- 46:35Speaker 1: this dudenamed Benji that beat me up all the time.
- 46:37Speaker 1: So now I kind of hate the name Benji because
- 46:38Speaker 1: that dude was a douchebag.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 1: I kind of feel like I'm letting that seep into
- 46:43Speaker 1: what I think is the ugliest jersey logo because if
- 46:46Speaker 1: they lose a lot, I think that affects it. So
- 46:49Speaker 1: because my number one was the Cardinals, and I love Red,
- 46:52Speaker 1: but I think the Cardinals have the worst logo full
- 46:56Speaker 1: jersey situation to the bird head, the Cardinals the Browns.
- 47:01Speaker 4: That's why I was gonna pick the Browns, because it's
- 47:03Speaker 4: just an orange helmet and then their jersey is brown brown.
- 47:07Speaker 2: I do like the simplicity of it. There's nothing to it.
- 47:11Speaker 2: They might have a band on their arm that's orange. Maybe.
- 47:14Speaker 2: I do like that little elf they have in the field. Elf. Yeah,
- 47:18Speaker 2: fifty yard line. They put the helf out there for
- 47:19Speaker 2: a while. I never don't think I've ever seen that
- 47:22Speaker 2: the Browns have an elf. Look it up.
- 47:25Speaker 3: The fans voted on it.
- 47:26Speaker 2: I think it's Brownie the Yelf, really and he sits
- 47:29Speaker 2: on the field. Yeah, and I think it's old.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Mike.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Would you give us the story of Brownie the Elf?
- 47:32Speaker 7: Bigging back to nineteen forty six the miss I can't
- 47:35Speaker 7: say that word mischiev is folklore characters inspired Tima as
- 47:41Speaker 7: generic thing.
- 47:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a creepy little guy back from the forties.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Hu And they put it last year, and I think
- 47:46Speaker 1: they removed it after a while. But I like that,
- 47:49Speaker 1: although it's not on the helmet. I at least like
- 47:51Speaker 1: the Browns because they're not trying and the logo didn't
- 47:55Speaker 1: end up bad because they were trying too hard. Where
- 47:58Speaker 1: I feel like the Jacksonville Jaguars that one gost that's ugly. Yeah,
- 48:01Speaker 1: I don't like Jacksonville. The Colors when they win, though
- 48:04Speaker 1: it's cool, or I don't like that teal color. Now
- 48:05Speaker 1: I like the color.
- 48:06Speaker 2: I kind of like that.
- 48:07Speaker 1: I'm going Cardinals, Jaguars. I don't like the Seahawks either. Oh,
- 48:11Speaker 1: the Seahawks is so cool. I think they're lame that like,
- 48:14Speaker 1: and the new jerseys are awesome, like, well, the latest,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I need to see them. They got the little checker
- 48:20Speaker 1: almost like you're adescent. It's like dark dark. I don't
- 48:25Speaker 1: know is it dark blue or dark green. So I
- 48:26Speaker 1: might just hate the Colors too. I think they're so cool,
- 48:29Speaker 1: but I'm going these are the bad ones to me,
- 48:31Speaker 1: the Cardinals, the Browns, Jacksonville, and the Seahawks. Three of
- 48:34Speaker 1: those four have been pretty much perennial losers, so that
- 48:38Speaker 1: could affect it.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Also, I just don't like Green.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Like if I were a big, high rated five star
- 48:46Speaker 1: basketball player, I'm not going to play for a Green school.
- 48:48Speaker 2: I don't care. I don't care if.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Michigan State, it's like, we got you come on more
- 48:52Speaker 1: than I owe money. I'm not going to a green school.
- 48:55Speaker 1: That's funny, but I think green could affect it. Ugliest
- 48:57Speaker 1: ones Eddie, I think the Eagles are ugly. Okay, you
- 49:00Speaker 1: hate the Eagles though, that's just a Cowboys ris disgusting
- 49:04Speaker 1: is what it is.
- 49:05Speaker 2: I hate green. I don't hate the Eagles. You don't know.
- 49:07Speaker 4: It's just a just generic green with a dumb feather
- 49:11Speaker 4: on their helmet.
- 49:12Speaker 1: It's like just you hate Philadelphia. You hate the Eagles,
- 49:16Speaker 1: and that's okay. There are no rules, but I that's
- 49:19Speaker 1: that's seeping in. Uh huh okay.
- 49:21Speaker 2: What else? The Browns Okay, just nothing there?
- 49:24Speaker 6: Uh.
- 49:24Speaker 2: The Saints, I don't think.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I don't think they've ever changed their logo or changed
- 49:29Speaker 1: their helmet or changed their uniform. It's just kind of
- 49:32Speaker 1: like they feel so old. I'm mid on the Saints. Yeah,
- 49:36Speaker 1: anything else, and then probably the Texans. No, there's nothing
- 49:43Speaker 1: there for me with the Texans. Dark blue is that
- 49:47Speaker 1: what they are?
- 49:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 49:48Speaker 1: Dark blue with like a cow on their head. The
- 49:50Speaker 1: dark colors mess me up a little bit, just being colorblind. Really. Yeah,
- 49:52Speaker 1: I like the Texans, but maybe I don't know what
- 49:54Speaker 1: color they really are. Ooh, you know what the Titans like?
- 49:57Speaker 1: Oh yeah, Titans terrible, so bad? Their helmets look pretty good. Yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 1: good point, Kevin. This year they've shifted. They're much cooler.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I need to sit on it though. We haven't seen
- 50:04Speaker 1: it enough, Kevin. Who's your ugly list?
- 50:07Speaker 3: Yeah, well pops in my head. Probably the Panthers.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, I like that one. That's a tough one.
- 50:13Speaker 3: I feel like it could be a lot cooler, but
- 50:15Speaker 3: it's just so boring to me.
- 50:16Speaker 2: And they've lost a lot.
- 50:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that has to do with it. And then another one.
- 50:20Speaker 3: I know it's a classic, but man, the Steelers has
- 50:23Speaker 3: always just been so boring to me.
- 50:25Speaker 4: You know what's cool about the Steelers though, is you
- 50:27Speaker 4: know what that logo is with a little colored stars.
- 50:31Speaker 2: I don't know that's the steel logo.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Like if you get a bottle of spray can, like
- 50:36Speaker 4: a spray paint, Yeah, and the can has made a
- 50:38Speaker 4: steel Their little logo is on that bottle.
- 50:41Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Yeah, how fun is that? Fact?
- 50:45Speaker 2: Check it out. It's pretty cool. I'm having fun right now.
- 50:47Speaker 2: What a fact that is?
- 50:47Speaker 4: And then When I was a kid too, I thought
- 50:49Speaker 4: that the Steelers meant like robbers, so I was like, oh,
- 50:52Speaker 4: I don't like these guys.
- 50:53Speaker 1: That would have been cooler, yes, just to us. To them,
- 50:58Speaker 1: that's the coolest because of the Steel city. But to us,
- 51:00Speaker 1: we don't live there, so we don't have a relationship
- 51:02Speaker 1: with steel. So we're like, ah, it's a factory, but
- 51:07Speaker 1: steelers they steal steel. The looters, the bandits, right right,
- 51:13Speaker 1: have you have anybody else?
- 51:14Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 51:14Speaker 3: One more? We're going green here. And it's not because
- 51:16Speaker 3: I hate them, but their new uniforms, the Jets, they're awful.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Oh I like the Jets.
- 51:21Speaker 3: I don't.
- 51:22Speaker 2: I don't really like the green. You don't like that
- 51:24Speaker 2: dark green? Their helmet looks like a lollipop. I don't,
- 51:27Speaker 2: but I don't hate it as much as like that
- 51:28Speaker 2: Jaguar green. The teal is that? So that's not green? No,
- 51:32Speaker 2: it's like a blue green. Or the Seahawks green. Is
- 51:35Speaker 2: that green? Yeah? A different shade of No, that's blueish,
- 51:39Speaker 2: that's more blue green.
- 51:40Speaker 1: So MNE's a struggle color blind man, my coust the
- 51:43Speaker 1: worst logo to you, commanders, Yes, do you like the
- 51:47Speaker 1: new ones?
- 51:47Speaker 2: With a W? No? It's just a w I like it,
- 51:50Speaker 2: and the maroon is just a ghost.
- 51:54Speaker 1: I don't like yellow mixed in, so I can do
- 51:56Speaker 1: without that. But it's like when the Chiefs do heavy yellow,
- 51:59Speaker 1: I don't like that. I like the Chiefs with white
- 52:01Speaker 1: and red. Yeah, I'm just big red games. You can
- 52:03Speaker 1: see that red perfect right.
- 52:05Speaker 2: The red. That red's awesome.
- 52:06Speaker 4: What do you guys think about the the Packers? Is
- 52:10Speaker 4: that too to you?
- 52:12Speaker 1: No?
- 52:12Speaker 2: I like it.
- 52:13Speaker 1: It's a little green and yellow both, which is a
- 52:14Speaker 1: bit contrary to everything I just said, but they've won
- 52:18Speaker 1: enough to make it cool.
- 52:19Speaker 2: I like that.
- 52:19Speaker 1: It's been really old, yeah, like there's something to that.
- 52:22Speaker 1: It's been consistent since the beginning of the NFL. And
- 52:28Speaker 1: it's just a letter, just a dult g Like I
- 52:31Speaker 1: feel like that cardinal on that helmet, that's a lame cardinal,
- 52:34Speaker 1: Like have it killing somebody, ripping a heart out of something.
- 52:37Speaker 2: It's just a pretty little Cardinals it is, yeah, just.
- 52:39Speaker 1: Like And then also I start to think back, maybe
- 52:42Speaker 1: because I hate Saint Louis Cardinals because I'm a cup
- 52:44Speaker 1: of fan, maybe that's affects it.
- 52:45Speaker 2: I don't even realize it. So yeah, so what are
- 52:49Speaker 2: your favorites. Do you like the Rams?
- 52:50Speaker 1: It's now the Bengals by far the coolest helmets in
- 52:52Speaker 1: the NFL. I think the Bengals have the but I
- 52:56Speaker 1: also grew up loving the Bengals because Boomeraside someone's left
- 52:58Speaker 1: handed quarterback, and I played it as left handed quarterback
- 53:01Speaker 1: like early football, and I was like, that's my guy.
- 53:04Speaker 1: But I think the Bengals have the coolest helmets. Do
- 53:07Speaker 1: you feel that way?
- 53:08Speaker 2: Yes, the white Tiger helmets are even good, even cooler.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm gonna go Bengals.
- 53:13Speaker 2: You Rams.
- 53:15Speaker 4: I love the Ram horn just if you can just
- 53:18Speaker 4: picture that being their horn, It's just awesome.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that. Meant to me, but I get it, Kevin.
- 53:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm trying to think. I mean probably the Eagles. Honestly,
- 53:30Speaker 3: Sorry Eddie, but I like that you like that.
- 53:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I kind of liked the Eagle talking about it,
- 53:36Speaker 7: Mike Niners. I love that color scheme.
- 53:38Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Golden red color scheme is good because logo logos kind
- 53:44Speaker 1: of lamb.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Yeah, logos lamb, but the colors look good.
- 53:46Speaker 3: Yea.
- 53:46Speaker 1: But yeah, it's a good color scheme where you know what,
- 53:48Speaker 1: I think the Raiders could really redo their logo.
- 53:52Speaker 4: To something cool because it's a great mascot. But like
- 53:55Speaker 4: there's a louder that's.
- 53:57Speaker 2: The Raiders are a.
- 54:00Speaker 5: God.
- 54:02Speaker 1: Okay, all right, that'll do her. Thank you very much, everybody.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I'll see you next week. I hope you have an
- 54:14Speaker 1: awesome weekend. Congrats to Kevin for one year of having twins.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Congrats to Eddie of finding out military time. I don't know, dude,
- 54:24Speaker 1: there's something there to find out. What what I congratulate you
- 54:27Speaker 1: for today?
- 54:31Speaker 2: Made it another week? Who'd you bet on for the PGA? Oh, Scotty?
- 54:34Speaker 1: Okay, well, Scotty a possible congratulations playing really well?
- 54:37Speaker 2: That would be awesome. And I'd like to congratulate me
- 54:40Speaker 2: on being rich.
- 54:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but that's com I mean, that's that's like congratulates
- 54:49Speaker 1: today for breathing.
- 54:50Speaker 2: It's just every day that it's been the thing for
- 54:51Speaker 2: a while. Having a lot of money, Thank you.
- 54:54Speaker 5: I know.
- 54:54Speaker 2: If there's anything new.
- 54:55Speaker 3: Though, making it two months in one week.
- 54:59Speaker 2: Huh, yeah, that's not that's a congratulation. How's the how's
- 55:02Speaker 2: the softball team going? They played a day in the
- 55:06Speaker 2: first round at first game of regionals. Okay, I don't
- 55:08Speaker 2: know if I have it. Congratulations. Today I saw baseball
- 55:11Speaker 2: was playing. Are they good?
- 55:13Speaker 1: We've really struggled. We're play Arkansas. Baseball is starting to
- 55:16Speaker 1: get a little warmer, almost hot. Possibly we can host
- 55:19Speaker 1: a regional, but we got to be back Kentucky, and
- 55:21Speaker 1: I'll talk about baseball locause softball and baseball are so similar.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I don't want to get them confused. Yeah, yeah, but
- 55:25Speaker 1: I do. Watch have to kind of pick.
- 55:30Speaker 3: What about your cubs? Congrats your Cubs or.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Playing Amen, they're playing great.
- 55:33Speaker 1: I can't wait to tell you, guys the story about
- 55:35Speaker 1: me running into the players and me being like, oh, yes,
- 55:38Speaker 1: I haven't forgot that.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I just can't yet. Yeah, you don't want to give
- 55:41Speaker 2: something away. I can't.
- 55:42Speaker 1: If I reveal that, it reveals other parts of the story.
- 55:45Speaker 1: And I owe it to these people to not say,
- 55:47Speaker 1: like where they were, So I gotta let it.
- 55:49Speaker 2: Got it? You know what. Congratulations? I don't need one
- 55:51Speaker 2: this week. No, you're good, just taking the week off.
