- 0:00Please and gentlemen, welcome to the Three O Take, where we talk
- 0:04all things Major League Baseball.
- 0:06Here's Kyle Corwin and Nate Reyes.
- 0:10It all starts right now. Welcome back to the Three O Take
- 0:19presented by Chinook Cedary. This is episode 545.
- 0:23I don't care. I don't care, Casey.
- 0:37Don't even ask me. Don't even ask me mean this.
- 0:40No, you don't. Genuine.
- 0:42You don't. You don't.
- 0:44How are we? You don't.
- 0:47You couldn't be more sarcastic. I don't.
- 0:51I'm responding to the Red Sox on Twitter right now telling them
- 0:54to shut up. Stand by.
- 0:57They put out a tweet. Yeah, they put out like this
- 1:00forever a champion. Bullcrap too soon?
- 1:05Shut up. Too soon to be posting stuff
- 1:09like that. Shut up, chumps.
- 1:13Have no time for this. Unbelievable.
- 1:17You're asking how I'm doing. All right, so here's the here's
- 1:22the rub, per Michael Scott. We just got off like a three
- 1:30hour how to keep score tutorial Sunday night baseball.
- 1:36It's our second time doing it. I think it was 7 minutes.
- 1:42We're you know, we're on there giving people to rundown like,
- 1:44hey, this is you fill out your lineups and everything.
- 1:46We're giving people to rundown 7 minutes.
- 1:49I think it was we get this, somebody in the chat goes Devers
- 1:54to the Giants and I'm like, is this like a fantasy proposal?
- 2:00I'm like, I don't. Is this the person in your
- 2:03league team name the Giants? I don't like, I don't know,
- 2:06Chuck about it. And then more people kept
- 2:07popping in Devers of the Giants. Yo, is this real?
- 2:10And then you're like, what? And then you're like, no, just
- 2:16got the, just got the official notification.
- 2:18This is real. And I've still have no idea
- 2:20what's what anybody's talking about.
- 2:22So I, I pull up Twitter real fast and I see the passions
- 2:26tweeting about it. I see the Robert Murray, I think
- 2:29was the official tweet that broke the news.
- 2:34And then we had to do a three hour live stream, keep telling
- 2:38people how to keep hook, which was great, by the way,
- 2:39Thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't regret it.
- 2:41It was a great time. But I had no chance really to
- 2:44really process what had happened.
- 2:47The fact that the face of the yeah, I mean the face call space
- 2:56spade face of the franchise traded to the Giants for no
- 3:01disrespect, but sort of disrespect, slop comparatively
- 3:06in return, slop, slop, slop. Holy, you traded away Rafael
- 3:18Devers in the midst of one of his best offensive seasons of
- 3:23his career, if not his best season in his career.
- 3:28No, see, look in the chat. I see.
- 3:30I knew this was going to be a, a, a response, a message needed
- 3:34to be sent. It was sent.
- 3:36Look, if you're the Red Sox, how petty?
- 3:41Like, how petty can you be? Like it was very clear, like
- 3:47very clearly outside of the Boston media who just continued
- 3:52to try to stoke the fire, who wouldn't let this thing die out.
- 3:54I think most reasonable, sensible Red Sox fans had kind
- 3:58of moved on like water under the bridge.
- 4:00What myself included. I'm like, you know, this, this
- 4:02wasn't a great look for Raffi. This wasn't a great way for
- 4:05great look for the team either. Just not a great look for
- 4:08anybody involved. But you know what?
- 4:10We're we're turning the page. Like last episode, I you, you
- 4:14know, we joked hit Trevor hit Trevor Story with the credit
- 4:17cannon, which, by the way, I have an official statement on
- 4:21that, which I was going to share tonight, but I'm I'm pushing
- 4:25that. But anyway, hit Trevor story
- 4:28with the credit cannon last episode.
- 4:29Then they proceed to sweep the the division leading Yankees,
- 4:33your archrival Yankees at home in, you know, somewhat
- 4:38convincing fashion considering the state of the team like a
- 4:41month ago. And then Sunday night baseball
- 4:45rolls around. You're like, let's let's break
- 4:47the news shipping Raffi to the team you're about to watch for
- 4:51the next three hours. Like it was water under the
- 4:57bridge, was it? And we talked about this on the
- 5:00stream. Was this just a situation where
- 5:06you were just waiting till the season turned around to where
- 5:09you could really maximize this value and be like, no, no, no,
- 5:11like this isn't the norm? Like Raffi's back to being
- 5:14Raffi. So let's talk trade.
- 5:16Because if that's the case, I mean, from a business point of
- 5:19view, I get it. But if that's the case, you
- 5:24should be getting a heck of a lot more back in return.
- 5:29Yeah. You trade, we we got nobody
- 5:38left, nobody left. He was the last guy.
- 5:43He was the last guy on that 18 World Series team.
- 5:46OK, again in the chat. If you have a player that can't,
- 5:49you can't plug into your needs of the team, then you remove the
- 5:51cancer. He's literally doing the role
- 5:55that you have moved him to as it did.
- 5:58So like I was, I was sort of like against Raffi there for a
- 6:01while initially when he sort of bucked heads about moving to DH,
- 6:05but then he's like, OK, I'm I'm the DH now.
- 6:08And then proceeds to be one of the best hitters in baseball
- 6:11outside of like Aaron Judge and maybe like a couple other names
- 6:14has been demolishing the baseball.
- 6:20And then you we have nobody left.
- 6:24It was well, we can't keep Mookie, Xander Endeavours, but
- 6:30we can keep 2. You ship Mookie, we'll see you
- 6:37now. We're really going to lock in on
- 6:39Xander Endeavours. Xander, thanks for your service,
- 6:43buddy. Go get your bag in San Diego
- 6:47because we're not going to pay you.
- 6:48We're not even paying you half of that now.
- 6:52We really zero in on devours. This is our guy.
- 6:57You pay them the extension. Hey, thanks for thanks for your
- 7:02service. Raffi, pack your bags.
- 7:05You're going to San Francisco. What are we doing?
- 7:09The back and forth of the up, the down, the positive, the
- 7:13negative? We, we finally, Red Sox fans
- 7:17clamored and like just clamoring to bring up the trio.
- 7:21We finally get the, we finally get the full trio and Meyer,
- 7:25Campbell and, and Anthony and we're like, OK, Trevor's
- 7:29story's, Trevor's story is back to being Trevor's story for the
- 7:32most part. Devers is, is mashing.
- 7:34I mean, he's on a little bit of a slide, but for all intents and
- 7:37purposes, back to mashing. Crochet is leading the way on
- 7:40the bump. Like, things are looking pretty
- 7:42good right now. That's where I'm at with like.
- 7:47No, no, no, we're good. I, I think that's where I'm at
- 7:50with like the timing, you know what I mean?
- 7:54Like I don't quite understand the timing.
- 7:56I don't understand how it was such a rocky start at the
- 8:00beginning of the season. It was so many headaches and so
- 8:05many conversations that had nothing to do with the overall
- 8:08team. It was just it was very much
- 8:10surrounding, you know, bringing bread Bregman in and then the
- 8:13Rafi Dever stuff. And it's like you got past that.
- 8:17You finally like turn the corner and you started playing good
- 8:21baseball. You you're on A5 game-winning
- 8:23streak. Like you have your rotation
- 8:26that's starting to show up like you're doing this without
- 8:29Bregman. I I'm not understanding the
- 8:35timing. I'm not understanding the what
- 8:41message are you trying to send? If there is a message that needs
- 8:44to be sent, I get that. Like in I'm not hopping camps on
- 8:50where we were like you and I were.
- 8:51We agreed that like Rafi Devers should have gone about that
- 8:56whole situation better. The comments weren't great, the
- 8:59reluctance to moving position like none of that was great.
- 9:02The front office should have also handled it better.
- 9:04As 100% like it they it was a very weird thing and you got to
- 9:08remember how late Bregman was brought on like we're already in
- 9:14spring training, you know what I mean?
- 9:15These guys are already starting to get going for the season,
- 9:19like they're starting to settle into spring training.
- 9:21And then you make this change and it's like you kind of put
- 9:28your you put your cornerstone in a very difficult position.
- 9:32Did he handle it well? No, but you put your the face of
- 9:37your franchise in a very weird spot.
- 9:45I'm just very lost with how they've operated and why do you
- 9:52keep doing these trades. That point, that point exactly
- 9:55right there in the chat, Dan says now with all of that money
- 9:59that San Francisco's eating, we had the opportunity to actually
- 10:02extend Bregman, invest some money into Meyer and Anthony
- 10:05while going after more starting pitching this all season.
- 10:07Dan, I appreciate the feedback and I know it's
- 10:09well-intentioned, but like this is this is what they did.
- 10:13They they, it was I, I just explained, we got, we got Mookie
- 10:18Bogarts endeavors. We can't keep all three.
- 10:21I mean, we're the Boston Red Sox.
- 10:23We got a lot of money, but we don't have that much money.
- 10:25So Mookie, best of luck. But now, now is when we really
- 10:29zero in on Xander endeavors. Well, we actually, we take that
- 10:33back. We don't really want to we don't
- 10:34really don't want to pay for Bogarts anymore.
- 10:36So see you buddy. And now, OK, now we now we
- 10:40really zero in on devours. We pay devours gone.
- 10:43So this whole like investing it, it, it, it I would believe it if
- 10:48you if you demonstrated that you would be able to invest in these
- 10:52players and actually keep them around and build a product
- 10:55instead of letting some like little petty disagreement that
- 11:01I, I'm reading now, was at a point of being unsalvageable, a
- 11:05relationship that was unsalvageable.
- 11:07No, it just sounded like nobody wanted to be an adult.
- 11:10And I'm looking at Devers on that too.
- 11:11Like it just sounded like nobody wanted to be an adult.
- 11:13And that is it starts to me with the front office, like you got
- 11:18to, you got to be better. And I know I've, I've taken my
- 11:20shots at Devers over the last month or two, But like you got,
- 11:23you got to have a little bit more transparency.
- 11:25And I understand that the cost injury, the Bregman, it like
- 11:28things happen and sometimes you got to adjust on the fly.
- 11:31But don't you, you do this all the time as the Boston Red Sox.
- 11:35They did it with Tito Francona when when he left town.
- 11:38They, they, they spit on you on the way out.
- 11:41They, they craft this narrative. They essentially control the
- 11:45Boston news market. John Henry, shout out John
- 11:48Henry. He can paint any picture he
- 11:50wants. He can paint any narrative he
- 11:52wants that like, well, like Devers just wasn't being a team
- 11:57player. And yeah, well, maybe that's
- 11:58true. It would be different to me if
- 12:03that was the case and was underperforming in the new DH
- 12:07role that you've given to him, right?
- 12:08But he was. If he was struggling with it, if
- 12:11yeah, if the team was struggling with it, yeah, I agree.
- 12:16So what are what are the chances?
- 12:18I mean, if you want to go like 0 out of 10, like 10 being like he
- 12:23wrote a note and put it on Core's desk, like what?
- 12:27What are the chances he requested this?
- 12:36If he did request it, I I would have to guess that given the
- 12:41fact that he did receive the contract extension, that he
- 12:44probably didn't think there was a realistic chance that it would
- 12:46happen. But then the front office is
- 12:49like, wow, we just got a couple things got to happen here.
- 12:52We got a one wait till he he gets out of this like over 50
- 12:56slump that he's in to start the season.
- 12:58And then we got to find a suitor and seems as though both things
- 13:03happened and they pulled the trigger.
- 13:06But such a such a cowardly move. Such a cowardly move on behalf
- 13:11of Craig Breslow. Figure out a way, like be an
- 13:14adult, figure out a way to make it work for the face of your
- 13:18franchise who's having a great season, by the way, and figure
- 13:23out a way to keep him around like be an adult.
- 13:27This is this is a fireable offense.
- 13:30And I like I'm, I'm, I, I know that maybe I'm like coming on a
- 13:33little strong right now because I'm like, now I'm just
- 13:36processing this as as we're talking it out, but like
- 13:39legitimately A fireable offense. You know, they brought in
- 13:44Heimbloom to to do The Dirty work to, to get rid of Mookie.
- 13:48So I don't, I don't necessarily put that on him, but like this,
- 13:52who else do you have to look at? Who else who, who can you turn
- 13:57to? This is pathetic.
- 14:02Before we hopped on, I threw on MOB Network just kind of see
- 14:07what was being talked about and it was Matt Beskirchen and Chris
- 14:14Young. They were interviewing Jared
- 14:16Carabas, but Matty V brought up a very interesting point.
- 14:19I wanted to see what you're thinking.
- 14:21He talked about how he's like, hey, look, like we've heard of
- 14:24young cores before in Boston. And he was referring to
- 14:28Benintendi, Jackie Bradley Junior.
- 14:33And I was, was Mookie in that. I know like it was like the
- 14:36killer bees between Mookie and and Bogart's, but like who was
- 14:40the youngest out of that? I think it was those 3, right?
- 14:44Sorry, you're saying I I spaced out.
- 14:47I was reading the comments, I'm sorry.
- 14:48Like they were The Who was like your your last core that like
- 14:52everyone was like, hey, promising that this is like the
- 14:55future. And I know Benintendi and Jackie
- 14:57Bradley. I'm just who were the other?
- 15:00Killer bees. I mean, Xander was obviously a
- 15:02part of that. Xander was the older brother to
- 15:04Rafael Devers. You know, they were hoping that
- 15:07Xander would have stayed around long term.
- 15:08They weren't willing to give the contract that that Padres
- 15:11obviously gave him. My point more being around the
- 15:14younger guys and like the fact that everyone was told how good
- 15:18Benintendi and Jackie Bradley Junior were going to be and how
- 15:21they what that meant to the franchise right then obviously,
- 15:25like their overall success wasn't great.
- 15:28There were some rings in there. But like I can't sit there and
- 15:31just say that like those were the guys that the reason behind
- 15:35it, right? Are are you this in on this
- 15:40core? Are you like this sold?
- 15:43Are you comfortable sitting here as a Red Sox fan and saying,
- 15:48like, I can fully look at Marcelo Meyer, Christian
- 15:52Campbell in Roman Anthony and just be like, this is 100% the
- 15:56core future? I know that we're riding with
- 15:59this 100%. Sit there with all three of
- 16:02those names and say you're better off shipping Devers out.
- 16:06No, that's it. It's both.
- 16:08It's yes, I'm 100% in on this core.
- 16:11I've even in just the early going, I've loved what I've
- 16:14seen. I know there's going to be a
- 16:15learning curve. I know there's going to be some
- 16:17struggles, maybe even some some sophomore slumps when the time
- 16:20comes from what I've seen right now mature beyond their age,
- 16:24like without a doubt. And they're they're adjusting
- 16:27well. And I know, like I said, there's
- 16:28going to be a learning curve. The league's going to start to
- 16:30figure them out, but the talent is there.
- 16:33Like, without a doubt. But that doesn't mean that it's
- 16:37an either or situation. You figure out a way to keep
- 16:41Rafael Devers on your team as one of the best players in the
- 16:45league. You figure out the log jam
- 16:48elsewhere. Holy cow.
- 16:52Like I look, I I know, I know. This was the solution to
- 16:56shopping Duran, by the way, 'cause we were just talking
- 16:58about that a few weeks ago and like those.
- 17:00Were surprised if they traded Duran too, like, hey, we could
- 17:03really use some more quadruple A pitching.
- 17:06Let's go, let's go see what we can find.
- 17:08Look, I, I know we stay on here all the time, you know, like
- 17:12we're not, we're not, we're not owners.
- 17:14We're not front office officials.
- 17:18So like, what do we really know in comparison?
- 17:20Like they got stuff going on behind closed doors that we just
- 17:23that we just don't know about. And that's true to an extent.
- 17:26But it's stuff like this where I'm like the average baseball
- 17:30fan can look at this and tell you that this is just not, this
- 17:33is not a good idea. I saw somebody, I don't know if
- 17:36it was on this stream or the last stream where somebody said
- 17:38John Henry's only concerned about jersey sales.
- 17:41So it makes sense if that's the case, you're not trading away
- 17:44Rafael Devers because Rafael Devers is one of your top jersey
- 17:47sales, if not the top. So I don't, I don't from a, from
- 17:52a financial point of view, I don't get it.
- 17:55And frankly, I don't think it was a financial issue.
- 17:57I don't think it was that contract extension.
- 17:59I think they're more than happy paying 300 plus for Adhi.
- 18:02Really don't think that was the the issue there.
- 18:06I think this was a a situation where there was too many
- 18:11children in the room and nobody could nobody could look at this
- 18:15and go, we cannot let hot heads prevail here.
- 18:20Like we have to come to terms with the fact that we have an
- 18:23opportunity in front of us where granted, he might not be the
- 18:27leader that you want him to be as like a vocal, hey, like get
- 18:32on my back kind of guy. Devers is just a hey, pay me and
- 18:36I'll I'll hit you homers. He's even said that.
- 18:39So he's definitely not a leader in that sense, but the talent,
- 18:42the skill set, undeniable, the core that we just talked about,
- 18:46Anthony Campbell, Meyer. And it kind of felt like I, and
- 18:50I know Bregman's not like officially there long term and
- 18:52and who knows if he ends up being there and gets extended,
- 18:55But like, it kind of felt like that box was checked once
- 18:59Bregman came in. Like you have this veteran
- 19:02presence, you like, you have this leader, you have this World
- 19:04Series champion, you know what I'm saying?
- 19:06Like. Look, it felt like that part
- 19:08was. Taken care of.
- 19:09Yeah, Like that was taken care of.
- 19:12And I'm, I don't know, dude, like I, I'm very lost with the
- 19:17time it like you guys finally turned a corner and you're
- 19:19coming off the best weekend, like a highlight weekend of of
- 19:23your season so far. I don't understand what, what
- 19:29what message does this send? Are we in now or are we kind of
- 19:35punting a little bit? Are we fully in this year or are
- 19:40we just saying like, hey, you know what?
- 19:43Because like, I'll be real and, and, and I'm not, I'm not joking
- 19:46when I say this. Like I don't mean disrespect
- 19:50towards Kyle Harrison and Jordan Hicks, but like.
- 19:55That that right there shows you how insignificant this return
- 19:58is, because we haven't even gotten to the return I have.
- 20:00I haven't even mentioned the return yet.
- 20:02Come on. It's not like, oh, Robbie Devers
- 20:05got Robbie Devers got traded, but yo, this socks like let's
- 20:10talk about what they're getting back.
- 20:11We haven't even got that. We're 20 minutes in, haven't
- 20:14even mentioned. That you have more question
- 20:15marks like you have more question marks coming back.
- 20:17If you're talking about your out, you'll being like too too
- 20:21cluttered. Now your rotation is too
- 20:24cluttered and and it's not like you can look at a Kyle Harrison
- 20:28or Jordan Hicks, who by the way, ERA wise, Jordan Hicks has been
- 20:36rough, nine starts so far this year, 647 ERA.
- 20:42He's giving up 35 runs in 48 innings.
- 20:48Didn't they move him back to the pen or am I crazy?
- 20:53I guess I, I, I was over the same boat.
- 20:56By the way, he's given up 12 earn runs in 23 innings in four
- 21:00starts this year. Who has also been in the
- 21:03bullpen. Like I I'm not talking about the
- 21:06Giants quite yet, but like what I'm saying is where are these
- 21:12moves getting you to these are middle of the road inning eater
- 21:17type guys right now. If that.
- 21:20So like do you completely move Jordan Hicks back to an end of
- 21:26the game type reliever and that is it moderate leverage?
- 21:29Like I it still doesn't make sense.
- 21:33It's not going to be here in three years.
- 21:36It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.
- 21:39And the whole the the people saying, well, it's to free up
- 21:42the books. It's to free up the books again.
- 21:46I would believe that if you demonstrated that you were
- 21:49willing and had the the fortitude to extend the guy and
- 21:55actually keep him, like it took you long enough to extend a guy
- 22:00and you finally did that endeavors and then you ship them
- 22:04out of town. So like this whole freeing up
- 22:07the books for what to lighten up the the checkbook for John
- 22:11Henry. I'm sick of it, man.
- 22:14Like we say it all the time, like I and we go back to this
- 22:17point all the time. But like, if you're going to be
- 22:19an owner of a baseball team, I think the, the number one
- 22:24prerequisite for owning a baseball team should be actually
- 22:27caring about baseball and caring about the baseball team that you
- 22:31own. And if you're only interested in
- 22:33using it as a business asset, then hit the road.
- 22:37Like, let somebody else fill the slot.
- 22:39Because like hundreds of thousands, millions of people
- 22:45around the world, like major baseball has made it a point to
- 22:49make this a global game. Shout out to Japan.
- 22:52They're doing their part. Millions of people around the
- 22:57world invest their time, their energy, their money into this
- 23:01product, and you only care about it as a business asset.
- 23:07I go ahead and say like, oh, who?
- 23:09Who really cares what John Henry thinks of Kyle's opinion?
- 23:12He doesn't, and that's the point.
- 23:16There's a there's millions of other people like me that have
- 23:19the same exact reaction to this, and that's the point.
- 23:25Here's the thing with this, by the way, is that if you look up,
- 23:33if you look up value with these teams, then if you want to sit
- 23:38here and say that it's not like the Red Sox have Dodger money,
- 23:41the Dodgers are worth 6.8 billion, Red Sox are worth 4.8.
- 23:46They're third in baseball as far as value goes.
- 23:49So it's yes, there's a little bit of a gap there, but like
- 23:52they're the third most valuable team in baseball.
- 23:59I don't think we can just sit there and say like they don't
- 24:02know how to operate and they like they're they're not a small
- 24:05market team. You're talking about a team
- 24:07who's looking at doing. I don't, we haven't even talked
- 24:10about this, but the massive, massive concepts of renovating
- 24:15around the park and and adding stuff around the field that's
- 24:19being talked about and brought up right now.
- 24:21Like this team has money. This team does not need to ship
- 24:26money out of town and clear books.
- 24:28Then, even if Bregman is the truth, and even if Bregman is
- 24:31going to be a Red Sox for the rest of his career, which is
- 24:33fine. He's not He's.
- 24:35Not what are I don't know if we're going to, I don't know if
- 24:39we're going to spend a ton of money there.
- 24:40That's all like I don't know if we're going to be seeing a $300
- 24:45million contract being forked over for Bregman.
- 24:47I, I could see 100 and 4000 and 50 this offseason.
- 24:52Like I, I, I'm wondering the reasoning behind timing.
- 24:58I'm wondering like the message that this sends, is there
- 25:02something else that, like I, I don't know if we're seeing all
- 25:08of it. I just don't understand the
- 25:09return. None of it adds up.
- 25:13None of it adds up. Then the giants.
- 25:16I mean, if you want to get into the Giants, if you're if you're
- 25:17tired about sock stock, we can get into the Giants and what
- 25:21this does for them. But I think this is a a straight
- 25:26this. This to me makes up for missing
- 25:30in free agency over the last half a decade, whatever it's
- 25:33been on massive free agents. Oh, this is this is huge for the
- 25:37Giants. This is.
- 25:38For 10 years, brother. This is huge you.
- 25:43Got it for 10 years. And like we talked about on the
- 25:48stream, you know, like, I think a word that you and I both
- 25:51arrived at is this legitimizes the giants, especially in a
- 25:55year, in a season right now. You know, granted, they didn't
- 25:59pull out the win tonight on on the stream that we were watching
- 26:02on Sunday night baseball against the Dodgers, but still like
- 26:05contending a a a legitimate threat at this point in the
- 26:10year. And you just added one of the
- 26:12best hitters in baseball. Yeah, Yeah.
- 26:18Now more question marks because third base is not open in San
- 26:26Francisco. I know it's open like
- 26:29immediately because Matt Chapman is on the IL, but you're talking
- 26:35about sliding over to DH again, you're talking about kind of a
- 26:43little bit of a weird scenario with Wilmer Flores, who like has
- 26:46produced for them as of late. Do you move him to 1st?
- 26:51You know, again, not trying to throw shade, but like Dom Smith,
- 26:55we're talking about a little bit on the stream tonight.
- 26:57Like he he's actually hitting pretty decently.
- 26:59Asleep on Dom Smith, Red Sox legend Dom Smith.
- 27:02But they made, I mean they. Cut they cut Lamont Wade Junior
- 27:06to like to kind of make that happen.
- 27:09So I don't think they can just turn around in a couple weeks
- 27:12and and change things. But this is a new day.
- 27:16I I'm looking at the giants a little bit differently than I
- 27:19have in the past. And and I'm going to, I didn't
- 27:23notice this until earlier, but I'm going to attribute some of
- 27:27that credit to A1, Mr. Buster Posey, man like coming in and
- 27:32kind of changing how we go about business over here in San Fran.
- 27:36To my point earlier, that's a guy that cares about winning.
- 27:39That's a guy that's won, cares about winning, doesn't care
- 27:42about money. I know maybe his, his role
- 27:45doesn't involve, you know, the the bottom line as much as a guy
- 27:50like John Henry. That's a guy that cares about
- 27:53winning is going to make the move.
- 27:55He's going to push the right buttons.
- 27:56He's going to talk to the right people to ensure that his team
- 27:58has a chance to do that. John Henry, not so much.
- 28:02Craig Fresno, I don't know what you're doing.
- 28:04This is a massive trade. I mean, this is a big deal.
- 28:07This shakes up this. This clears up this clears up
- 28:12some headaches for me in the east, and it it brings some
- 28:15headaches over to the West. That that was a thing like, you
- 28:18know, kind of jokes aside with this, but like that was that was
- 28:25one of my favorite. That was one of my favorite
- 28:27bits. Like, I just loved being able to
- 28:30stoke that fire every time Ravi Devers took the plate against,
- 28:34you know, stepped into the box against Garrett Cole that like,
- 28:38I. Just Garrett Cole.
- 28:38It was a lot of Garrett Cole. No, no, just like he.
- 28:40For sure, but like that was just one thing I could like
- 28:43regardless how bad the season was going and it's been bad,
- 28:47it's been ugly the last 3-4 years regardless how that what
- 28:51was happening. I could at least count on that.
- 28:53But now. We could we could joke about
- 28:55that, but the truth is, like on the other side of it, Jordan
- 28:58George Steinbrenner would loved anybody that did well against
- 29:02against the Red Sox. Like if if you struggled the
- 29:04rest of the year, but you helped beat the Red Sox and you did it
- 29:07with a note like that went a long way.
- 29:10And so like that does hold weight.
- 29:13You know what I mean? That does hold weight.
- 29:15So I'm interested to see what I don't get me wrong, he's got pop
- 29:19to go out anywhere. But like, I'm interested to see
- 29:21how numbers change in San Francisco.
- 29:25Down definitely goes down. But like, you know, you slot him
- 29:29in. We were talking about on the
- 29:31stream again tonight because they were playing the Dodgers.
- 29:33But like you get into one through three across the league
- 29:39and and impressive lineups with like Junghoo Lee, Willy Adamus
- 29:44and Rafi Devers. Like, that's a, that's a nice,
- 29:49nice start to a game. And I got to imagine Giants fans
- 29:56are coming out of hibernation right now and feeling very
- 30:00excited. No, let's I mean, I I know we
- 30:02say no disrespect, like let's, let's show proper or proper
- 30:06respect. I giants fans, you have to think
- 30:09have been relatively invested into this year.
- 30:11Like we said, I mean, they're having a they're having a
- 30:13quality start to the year now, maybe understandably so maybe
- 30:18they're still a little, you know, upset with just continued.
- 30:23Maybe it's residual from like the past few off seasons of of
- 30:26missing out on the guys they've really wanted.
- 30:29They've they've plugged some holes here and there for sure,
- 30:31but in like a Willy Adamus, for example, but even Willy Adamus
- 30:34is he had a a slow start of the year.
- 30:37But to my point, you mentioned the the 123 maybe have
- 30:40endeavours helps out a guy like Willy Adamus to have a little
- 30:43bit more, little more pop in that lineup, maybe a little bit
- 30:48a little bit of a situation where Adamus can feed off of
- 30:51that. Yeah, yeah, it's, it's going to
- 30:55be nice over there, man. Yeah.
- 30:57Must be nice. Where where you want to go from
- 31:08here, pal? I just this is I, I keep, I, I
- 31:10keep coming back to the money aspect of it because there's so
- 31:13many people like people in the chat and no disrespect, but I
- 31:19keep seeing people that are like, well, it's just clearing
- 31:21up money for Bregman. I've already said it twice.
- 31:25What about the way that they've run this team for the last, call
- 31:29it seven years makes you the post World Series?
- 31:36What makes you think that they're going to keep they're
- 31:38going to keep Bregman around? And even if they do pony up the
- 31:41money like they did for Devers, what makes you think they're
- 31:44going to keep them around long term?
- 31:50I don't know. I don't.
- 31:51And again the the point that it does.
- 31:53Happen. It's a weird transition to go
- 31:55from a young dude who has been in your in your organization.
- 31:59It is the face of it to switch to an older aging.
- 32:02You know what I'm saying? Like like that's a weird mindset
- 32:06shift. Just strictly if he's a better
- 32:10yes man, you know what I mean? Like how does that happen?
- 32:14I don't know. I don't know.
- 32:18It's just. Going back to going back to my
- 32:23point that and we don't have to keep harping on this, but then
- 32:25going back to my point about and let me just say, I apologize if
- 32:31I'm coming on a little strong, like I said, but this is I'm I'm
- 32:36sick of this. And then people say, oh, how bad
- 32:38could it be as a Red Sox fan? It's pretty bad.
- 32:40It's pretty bad. Like I don't have, I don't have
- 32:42anybody to really, you know, consider a favorite player now.
- 32:45Like I'm going to have to wait till some of these young guys
- 32:47grow up. But even then they're like, I'm
- 32:49like 10 years older than some of these guys coming up.
- 32:51So that's a little weird. So I, I don't really know where
- 32:55to go. But the point about, so again,
- 32:57I, I apologize for coming on a little strong, But what I was
- 33:01saying with the leverage thing with Bregman, you, you don't
- 33:05think Bregman's going to Bregman and his camp are going to use
- 33:08this as, as leverage to go. You need me a whole lot more
- 33:14than I need you now. Yeah, that's only going to drive
- 33:18the price tag up for Boston, so. Which is weird because they're,
- 33:23they're willing to say no to a certain extent to most guys so
- 33:26far. And then they randomly say yes.
- 33:29And I don't know, it's a very confusing.
- 33:33I'm confused. I'm I'm very confused.
- 33:38I'm very very very confused on how they're operating.
- 33:44I don't get it, man, I'm over it any I mean we got like a couple
- 33:52other items here to to cover, but do you have do you have any
- 33:56other thoughts on? I mean, I don't know, like, do
- 33:59people that people enjoy here in this, this Devers commentary,
- 34:03like is that I'm guessing that's what's taking over the airwaves
- 34:06starting tomorrow, Monday morning.
- 34:09But I, I, I just don't know. I'm truly, I know we've talked
- 34:13about it for half an hour plus now, but I, I just feel like
- 34:16generally speaking, I'm at a, I'm at a loss for words like big
- 34:19picture here because I, I, they do something stupid and I say
- 34:23there's no way you can do something more stupid than that.
- 34:26And they do it anyway. Is anyone next?
- 34:35Do you see Duran? I know you kind of mentioned it
- 34:37earlier, but do you actually see Duran getting moved I.
- 34:40I mean, realistically no, but could I see them doing it?
- 34:46At this point I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
- 34:50I genuinely couldn't. Who out of the rotation gets
- 34:53moved to Both Hicks and Harrison get moved to the bullpen.
- 34:57I I. Don't care.
- 34:59I I really don't. I really don't like Kyle
- 35:09Harrison and Jordan Hicks. I I get it was a set like you,
- 35:18whatever you're going to chalk it up to get money off the
- 35:20books. But come on, Connor Wong's as
- 35:24good as gone. So that'll close the book on the
- 35:26Mookie Betts trade. Officially, yeah.
- 35:29In the chat, will your Bray use as good as gone?
- 35:32I think they're waiting for him to to turn things well. 1st it's
- 35:35also weird. Yeah, for waiting on him to get
- 35:38healthy and then get him back to to where he was to start the
- 35:42year, which was very hot. And then they'll they'll ship
- 35:45him out. So I, dude, I don't know.
- 35:47I don't know. Whatever, man.
- 35:59You know Red Sox, you know myself, other Red Sox fans have
- 36:04it bad. But do we have it as bad as
- 36:08Aaron Savali? No one does we.
- 36:12Don't have to go too deep into this, but the if you haven't, if
- 36:15you haven't caught it and please in the chat, if if you prefer us
- 36:19to just continue this Rafi Devers rant, we can we can loop
- 36:23back to it at the end, but just want to want to cover this.
- 36:26Aaron Savale trade requested trade on what's today the 13th.
- 36:34I think it was the 12th. It's the 15th.
- 36:38No, sorry, I'm getting my days mixed up.
- 36:40He he requested the trade on the 12th.
- 36:42Today's the 15th. Requested the trade on the 12th.
- 36:4413th Traded. Traded to the White Sox the next
- 36:48day. Yeah, yeah.
- 36:50Classic case. And be careful what you wish
- 36:52for. Yeah.
- 36:55And look, I, I hear the argument that like, it's still a win for
- 36:59Savali because you either you well, you're going to go over
- 37:02there, you're going to start again because he'd been demoted.
- 37:05People are going, well, why would you request a trade?
- 37:06He'd been demoted to the bullpen.
- 37:10He requested trade. People are saying it's a win for
- 37:13him because again, you're going to, you're going to go over
- 37:15there, you're going to start again.
- 37:16You're either. Yeah, but at what cost?
- 37:19That's what I'm that's my, that's my argument.
- 37:22People are like, well, he's he's going to either pitch well, get
- 37:25money in free agency, or at the end of the day, he can still
- 37:27just be a starter and, and, and try again elsewhere.
- 37:31I don't know, whatever, but that's my point.
- 37:37The White Sox. Do you think they called anyone
- 37:43else? Do you think the Brewers called
- 37:45anybody else? Or where they were just like,
- 37:47yo, watch this, Then they called the White Sox and like, let's
- 37:51make this happen. You know what I mean?
- 37:53Shout. Out Well, that's a good point.
- 37:54Shout out to the Brewers, you know, for really protecting the
- 37:58integrity of the trade market in Major League Baseball because I
- 38:03when I saw that I'm going, Oh no, Aaron Savale is the
- 38:09snowflake that begins the avalanche in Major League
- 38:12Baseball, similar to that of the NBA, where I don't like my
- 38:17situation. So I went out and when I saw
- 38:20that he requested the trade, I'm going.
- 38:22I sure hope that he ends up somewhere that he doesn't want
- 38:26to end up, because that'll hopefully at least put a
- 38:29temporary to stop to that. And sure enough, he ends up in
- 38:33Chicago. You want to throw demands?
- 38:36I'm going to send you one of the worst franchises in sports.
- 38:39The literal reigning worst team in Major League history.
- 38:43So Congrats buddy, enjoy make. Sure, I have respect on the make
- 38:49sure pack. Heat while you're out there, by
- 38:50the way. That got me.
- 38:52That got me. Or you can sneak it in.
- 38:54Or you can sneak it in. Yeah, if you have.
- 38:56Yeah, no, yeah, yeah. Yep, Yep, Yep.
- 39:03Yeah, no big, big time respect for the Brewers in in that move.
- 39:08Offloading toxic relationship Devers while clearing money in a
- 39:12season where nothing is happening for the Red Sox.
- 39:15What are we talking about? I need to I.
- 39:17Thought we started to move forward.
- 39:19We did, but I said we'd be willing to revisit.
- 39:21And you know what? I'm willing to revisit.
- 39:23You're back now. You've won.
- 39:25You're 6 1/2 back in the East, you've you're 8 and two in your
- 39:28last 10. You won five in a row.
- 39:30You're a game over 500. Like, I get it.
- 39:34It's not pretty at the moment, but like to sit to just write
- 39:36the season off as though nothing's happening.
- 39:38Like, yeah, maybe 2 weeks ago I would have been like cancel the
- 39:41season. But to say nothing's happening,
- 39:45that's, that's ridiculous, I think, I think.
- 39:47When you said you're a game out of the wild card.
- 39:50No, I I think as of right now, well, you're you're half a game
- 39:55out now. Oh, I actually, I don't know if
- 39:56this is updated completely. Maybe it is.
- 39:58But either way, you're like, right, you're knocking on the
- 40:00door, whatever. Whatever, Aaron Zavali, go have
- 40:08fun in Chicago, whatever. Speaking of which, Shohei Tani,
- 40:17Shohei Tani. We've got the news.
- 40:19Shout out to the chat. By the way, they, they, they
- 40:22broke the news for us because I'm not able to keep completely
- 40:25up to date. Shohei is set.
- 40:32Let me make sure I got got it right here.
- 40:33Shohei Otani set to start for the Dodgers tomorrow night
- 40:39against the Padres. How about that?
- 40:43How about that? Fitting, I think.
- 40:50Very fitting. He said.
- 40:51I don't know why Robert said. Robert said they're throwing in
- 40:54the towel, bro. That's what it.
- 40:55That's what this is. I agree with you.
- 40:57Yeah, sorry, back to this real quick, back to no disrespect,
- 41:01back to this Rafi Devers thing. They're they're throwing a
- 41:05towel. I agree with you on that part.
- 41:07I agree with you. Yeah, by this move.
- 41:08I don't know what you're I don't know what message you're sending
- 41:10now. So yeah, you might as well throw
- 41:12in a towel cause what you just got rid of one of the best
- 41:14leaders in baseball to say that nothing was happening this year
- 41:18for the Red Sox. I disagree.
- 41:20I've I've, I've had my ups and downs, I've been angry.
- 41:22I've been happy. Two weeks ago I would have said,
- 41:24yeah, cancel season, like I said, but that's crazy.
- 41:27I agree with you though. They're throwing in the towel.
- 41:29So Shohei Otani. Volatility.
- 41:38Wait, what? Did the Yankees trade Jason
- 41:40Dominguez? What?
- 41:43Could we please move on to the Yankees and then trading Jason
- 41:45Minguez? What?
- 41:48No. OK, just want to make sure.
- 41:51I mean, I've seems to be a lot going on tonight, so I just want
- 41:54to make sure that didn't that didn't fly under the radar.
- 41:59So Shohei Atani, Yeah, set the pitch against the Dodgers.
- 42:01And I think according to Laura in the chat against Dylan Cease.
- 42:07Yeah, Sorry, Laura. I'm all over the place.
- 42:09You are. That's OK.
- 42:16That, you know what that tells me, that tells me that the
- 42:18Dodgers are a little more worried about their pitching
- 42:20situation than maybe they're letting on.
- 42:22Maybe. Maybe so.
- 42:25Because I don't care how ready Shohei is, it's off.
- 42:29It's a good bit earlier than you you had envisioned for the
- 42:33timeline. And if there is any guy that
- 42:36you're not going to rush back if you can afford it, it's Shohei
- 42:40Otani. But yet here we are.
- 42:44Well. They're panicking dude, but
- 42:48they're pitching situation not I'm not saying as a whole, but
- 42:51with their pitching situation, they're you.
- 42:54You don't do this if if you can afford not to.
- 42:59Yeah, probably, probably right. Probably right.
- 43:08Good news is Kershaw looked good the other day, right?
- 43:11DNL so maybe? Sorry.
- 43:17I'm reading, maybe we can turn back the clock a little bit.
- 43:20I'm reading now that Roki Sasaki no longer throwing.
- 43:26He's been. He's been shut down, huh?
- 43:28Shut down Dave. I'm reading a tweet now, Dave
- 43:32Roberts said. The Dodgers mindset should be to
- 43:37you should prepare so you won't get him back this season.
- 43:41Yeah. Yeah, I don't feel bad.
- 43:55I I it sucks for Roki Sasaki. I mean, I I, that was exciting.
- 43:58I was glad to see him, you know, come over and, like, start to
- 44:01have success. Like, that was cool.
- 44:03That's neat. I mean, what's I, I can't even
- 44:08keep the list of names straight at this point.
- 44:11Like I, I don't know what it is about Tyler Glass now.
- 44:15I just, I have this like feeling that I, he's going to be back
- 44:21and he's going to be fine and like, he's just managed this
- 44:27way, right? Like he's just always going to
- 44:29be kind of hurt. Let's just kind of bypass the
- 44:33regular season, give him a couple starts before the
- 44:35postseason starts, you know what I mean?
- 44:36Like, that's kind of where I'm at.
- 44:38I, I, I don't know, I, I think they're going to be fine.
- 44:42Yamamoto has been kind of off and on, but for the most part
- 44:46it's still pretty good this year.
- 44:47So like I, I'm not. Expected.
- 44:52Expected to activate Emmett Sheehan this week.
- 44:55Yeah, Yeah. Dustin May didn't look great
- 45:01tonight, but he didn't look terrible like it.
- 45:03Yeah, pretty erratic, but. They're going to find innings,
- 45:07they're going they're going to be fine.
- 45:10Interested to interested to see the length of of what show Hey
- 45:15can go and pay attention to, you know, pay attention to the
- 45:22hitting. Does that go down at all?
- 45:24I know we've seen him do both in the past.
- 45:26Like this isn't anything new, but it has been a while, so it
- 45:32would be interesting. I don't know.
- 45:38It's a Romat guy. You all right, You going to make
- 45:55it? Well, you're going to have to
- 46:02sleep on it. You're going to wake up.
- 46:07You're going to be like, did that really occur?
- 46:16It did. Yep.
- 46:20Yeah. Yeah, I don't know, man.
- 46:27That's really all I got. I I could go on about this, but
- 46:31I don't know how much people want to hear me gripe about how
- 46:33much my team sucks. I don't know how much I want to
- 46:36hear about it either. You should be eating this up if
- 46:39anything. I don't like.
- 46:41We got you and I look, I'm worried about you and I we we've
- 46:46been we've been doing this show for too long.
- 46:48We're I think when it comes to the Red Sox, Yankee stuff, we
- 46:51try. We're like, hey, man, I, you
- 46:53know what rivalry. Here's the thing.
- 46:56I really feel for you. You should have been dancing on
- 46:59my grave. Here's why.
- 47:01Here's. Why?
- 47:02Because I don't have a leg to stand on, one.
- 47:06And two, it's been 16 years for us, so it's not like I can, you
- 47:12know what I mean? Like I know what misery feels
- 47:14like because I've felt it for this long.
- 47:17You got to take your chances. I know it's been 16 years.
- 47:21I know you just got swept, but we just traded away the best
- 47:25hitter on our team and one of the best in baseball.
- 47:30I like this question a year. I like this one.
- 47:36Luka Doncic being traded to the Lakers or Deafers being traded
- 47:41to the. A valid question actually.
- 47:43It's a really good question. Is there an answer like I'm I'm
- 47:45not nearly the I'm not really a basketball guy at all, but I
- 47:48know that it was still a crazy. Deal.
- 47:50Now this No I mean I think the Luka one was worse because it
- 47:53was like it just. From the clouds.
- 47:56So there was this one it. Was very much from the clouds,
- 47:58but there's also like conspiracy of like saving the league in a
- 48:03way like I don't I don't the MOP is fine.
- 48:06I don't think this you know, everyone's going to wake up
- 48:08tomorrow and the MOP is going to be thriving still.
- 48:13So like I don't think they're in shambles the way the NBA is.
- 48:16That's fair. But.
- 48:23I still maintain that you should have been dancing on my grave.
- 48:26I. Sweep pales in comparison.
- 48:29I Here's why 10. Years left on the contract,
- 48:33yeah. Here's why I think is that like
- 48:36we both found out during the stream and then it like it let
- 48:44it let it like sit in. Shots fired, shots fired, Josh
- 48:49in the chat says, coughs Nate, with all due respect, you don't
- 48:52know what misery is. Walk over here in my shoes,
- 48:54brother. Bridge to October podcast.
- 48:56That's a pirate show. They know all about misery over
- 48:59there. But hey, you know what?
- 49:01Hey, I'm hearing from a reliable source that schemes cannot wait
- 49:06to put pen to paper for 1214 years.
- 49:11So, you know, the misery hopefully won't last much
- 49:13longer. We'll we'll, we'll see.
- 49:17We'll see. Hey, one of the hey, you sound
- 49:19bad fired. I'm just bad.
- 49:22But you're never down as bad as Pirates fans.
- 49:25That's the. I'm just letting it fire from
- 49:28the hip. I'm off the rails right now.
- 49:32Oh, pal, I, I'm, I'm stoked that I don't have to see him hit in
- 49:39Yankee Stadium anymore because I, I really got, I got sick of
- 49:42it. I got sick of it.
- 49:45So I'm glad to see him go on. Actually real quick on that kind
- 49:50of, you know, why not, why not come back to the the Devers
- 49:53trade? Where come back we've have we
- 49:56even left? There's been 1 foot on it the
- 49:59whole time. Yo, I completely forgot, guess
- 50:08who's going to San Francisco Friday June 20th, the 21st and
- 50:13the 22nd. Really.
- 50:17The team that just shopped you out of town?
- 50:20When? This coming weekend.
- 50:25Oh boy, we're going to have to buckle up for that.
- 50:32I pretty much never put a Red Sox game on when I'm watching
- 50:37games on the TV's. This might have to happen.
- 50:41Please do, Please do. I hope and look at I've I'm
- 50:47always of the belief that no player is above the jersey, as
- 50:52it were, maybe outside of like David Ortiz.
- 50:55I made if they would have mishandled that, which they kind
- 50:58of did at points. But if they were shipped him out
- 51:01of town, I'm following. I'm following Ortiz wherever
- 51:03he's going. I'm put me on your back, big
- 51:05Poppy. I'm going where you're going.
- 51:07But but yeah. But with this, with this
- 51:10situation, again, I don't think Devers is bigger than the
- 51:12jersey. So I'm it's not like I'm just
- 51:14owning the Red Sox to pull for Devers exclusively, but I hope,
- 51:18I hope he puts up 3 or 4 tanks this weekend.
- 51:21I really hope just just to just to put.
- 51:24Salt in the wound, and it's in San Fran.
- 51:26Yes, that's even better. All right, let's I want.
- 51:31I want you to rank these as far as the most painful Let's go
- 51:39Mookie trade. Bogart's trade.
- 51:43Devers trade. Babe Ruth trade.
- 51:48Well, I'm going to put one as the worst trade.
- 51:52I'm put well, I'm just going personal.
- 51:54If I'm yeah, if if I got to rank the babe trade, I'm putting that
- 51:59at the bottom, because without the babe, without the babe
- 52:02trade, we don't have O 4. And really, I mean really, we
- 52:07don't have, we don't have what you and I have had for our
- 52:11entire lives. And I, you know, like I wouldn't
- 52:13I, I get the world. You wouldn't want that.
- 52:15You wouldn't want to undo it. I'd get all that, but like the
- 52:1827 rings, whatever. But like the some of the
- 52:21sweetest moments I've had as a baseball fan stemmed because of
- 52:25that trade back in 1918. So you know what?
- 52:27I sounds crazy the most I'm sure, but I'll take that trade.
- 52:30You got that at 5, OK. So I'll go 5 there.
- 52:35Wait, I thought there was 4. It was the three, the three
- 52:39stars, 444 and then babe. Yeah.
- 52:42So Babe at 4:00. I mean, unless there's another.
- 52:47I'm going Xander at one. This is just personal for me.
- 52:50Like that was my guy and you just, you spit in his face.
- 52:53So that's the worst one. That's worse than Mookie.
- 52:55Huh. No, this personal, this is like,
- 52:57it's not like it's, I'm not like writing an art of a scholarly
- 53:02report. Yeah.
- 53:03If I were, it'd be Mookie just because of the return.
- 53:08Well, Babe, Babe was traded the like to finance a play or
- 53:13something. I I whatever man.
- 53:15Red Sox suck, dude. I hate this team.
- 53:18I hate this team so much. But if I'm making a personalist,
- 53:22I'm going again, personal. I'm going Xander first.
- 53:31You know, I, I felt like he didn't want to be here.
- 53:34There's been conflicting reports.
- 53:36I thought he was gone anyway, but I've still got to put Mookie
- 53:382, Devers three like they, they all suck.
- 53:43That's that's the that's the take away here.
- 53:45It's hard to rank them because they all suck.
- 53:47But whatever, man, the take away, no, the real takeaways is
- 53:50this team just sucks. Like we we don't know what we're
- 53:53doing. Ship without a sale.
- 53:57Oh, I could add a fifth one in. How about the Yuan Mancata sign
- 54:01like signing just be like he's the future he's.
- 54:08I'm never going to fault A-Team for making an addition like
- 54:11that, You just never know. But we all just miss so much
- 54:15it's. Crazy.
- 54:18No, that's not true, though we don't always miss.
- 54:20We get guys like Mookie Betts, Raphael Devers, Those are those
- 54:24are pretty big wins. And they're like, yeah, we'd
- 54:27rather not. Anyway, I've rambled enough.
- 54:29I'm sure the people are sick of you hear me ramble.
- 54:32Yeah, I know you're sick of you hear me, Randall.
- 54:34Ramble. I am.
- 54:36I am. I'm a big fan of your pain.
- 54:40As you should be. Yeah, we got to get back to
- 54:43this, this nicey nice stuff. Well, coming off the sweep, I
- 54:47don't feel great about. So like, I'm not, I'm not
- 54:51feeling the. Fact that this happened and
- 54:53you're still thinking about the sweep is crazy to me.
- 54:55Like you could have. I look, you're you're the Red
- 54:58Sox are sheep. I'm you know, the Yankees are
- 55:00the lion. That's I we don't concern
- 55:03ourselves so. Here we go.
- 55:04Here we go. Like that.
- 55:07That to me is like the you, you weren't really a threat.
- 55:11I'm more upset with the fact that we had a bad weekend.
- 55:15It's not about. Yeah, we just lost.
- 55:17We just lost the face of the franchise for the next 10 years,
- 55:20but you guys lost a few games. We had a rough weekend.
- 55:22Rough weekend, Tough. Tough weekend at the ball yard.
- 55:25Whatever. I'm I'm done.
- 55:28We got anything else? We got anything else to cover?
- 55:31I don't know it's. It's late.
- 55:33We've been talking baseball for like 4 hours.
- 55:36Like it's been, it's been nice. We have.
- 55:38We have. Shout, shout it out, shout out,
- 55:42shout out the folks that have joined us both for the the
- 55:44keeping book stream that we did, which again, that was great.
- 55:48And then this shout out to you guys.
- 55:53I might go try to find a lobster roll somewhere tomorrow.
- 55:56OK, whatever where no, I'm not buying this manufactured No, I I
- 56:01need some real Gen. like legitimate genuine hey man, this
- 56:08manufactured lobster you're not going to buy lobster roll
- 56:11tomorrow I get. Tired.
- 56:12That's probably what it is. Yeah, I'm in Arizona.
- 56:13What are you? Yeah, you're not finding the
- 56:16lobster roll questionable anyway.
- 56:19All right, that's that'll do it. Shout out to Nate for riding
- 56:25this out. You had to vent, pal.
- 56:28I knew you. Yeah, I mentioned it earlier.
- 56:30I did have, I did have a statement regarding the cannon,
- 56:33the credit cannon. Big news.
- 56:37Pushed. That's been pushed to been.
- 56:40Delayed Wednesday. We should.
- 56:41I'd like you to dress a little better for that announcement.
- 56:44I'll try. I'll.
- 56:46Try. So I'll make that.
- 56:49I'll make that announcement on on Wednesday, but I'll make that
- 56:55statement. It's not an announcement really,
- 56:56it's a statement, but we'll see you guys Wednesday.
- 56:59You got anything else? Official statement.
- 57:00Yeah. No, I'm.
- 57:03I'm all out of words. Love it.
- 57:07Yeah, go get Jason Kerr balls. Olivia is always looking forward
- 57:10to talking more baseball with you guys soon.
- 57:12Until next time, stay filthy.
