- 2:05Shout out to everybody in the chat. We're trying, you know,
- 2:07get some questions or something from y'all later, because we are here to discuss
- 2:13the finale of season two of Loki. All right, So that was something
- 2:24I'm not gonna hold you. I was annoyed for half the episode. Wow,
- 2:29okay, starting off strong here the fire right off the bat, Johnny
- 2:34Moon Lune or what up? I listen. I think this was really impactful
- 2:38as a as a as a finale, protect maybe series finale. I guess
- 2:44because that's the end of that. I mean, I don't know what else
- 2:46how you come back from that? I mean the way this should end.
- 2:50It was like it was like both apocalyptic and also like very like what's the
- 2:57word of just I'm looking for the right agitude? Something was just like beyond
- 3:01anything. You probably could have imagined that this would have ended up at Like
- 3:06we kept sitting here saying what is about to happen? Like where exactly are
- 3:08they going with this? But then something in me. I even said it
- 3:12in the last episode that we recorded, I said, I bet you them
- 3:15statues, I said, I said something to the effect I said, well,
- 3:19them statues is about to be of Loki Because I was just like this
- 3:22Nigga's about to take it all too his own hands literally, Like I felt
- 3:25that something was coming where he was just gonna have to do with his damn
- 3:28self. That's usually what happens when you try to do something with other people
- 3:31and it just not working, It usually means you got to do it your
- 3:35damn self. So when he took everything literally into his hands at the end,
- 3:38I was like, Okay, bet, what's the I'm looking for the
- 3:43word that's like not just apocalypse. It's like universal, it's like monumental,
- 3:50something bigger than the word monumental. But just the level of which Loki is
- 3:54like, he's like literally, he's like dead ass God's status now already was
- 4:00yeah, but like to really express that in this way, I don't know,
- 4:05I don't know the word I'm looking for me, but I'll find it
- 4:08later. Yeah. I want to wheel it bat though, because I want
- 4:10to wheel it back to why you said you were annoyed for half of the
- 4:14episode. Let's let's start with that. Let's let's go to that first.
- 4:17Okay, I listen, I just felt like it was some stupid shit happening
- 4:23like literally over and I get it. That's the point. I think we
- 4:26talked about that before. How like episode five was just all about you know,
- 4:30you're you're literally in a pail of what we said, a paradox,
- 4:34right, Like everything's so on the nose, and like the first half of
- 4:38the last episode, I was just like, bro, why are we doing
- 4:41this stupid shit? Why would Loki go back and then say, oh,
- 4:45you just got to do stuff faster, Like you know, that's not what
- 4:47the fuck is you need to do. You need to go all the way
- 4:50back to the beginning when this shit happened. You knew this like as smart
- 4:55as you are, and then it just felt like he was doing things just
- 4:59for for fuck's sake, like it didn't make sense for everything that he knew
- 5:03up until that point, everything that he learned. You are learning to literally
- 5:06control yourself through time, and this is what you come up with for like
- 5:12fifty eleven times, You're gonna run timely through the fucking gam it, like
- 5:17through like you're gonna do that, and like, are you serious? That's
- 5:21so dumb. You're not gonna stop. And at any point over the centuries
- 5:27since you did this, explain to people what you're doing, Like not once
- 5:31did he ever even clue everyone else in, Like that would have helped,
- 5:35you know, if he was, Like it is one point, like,
- 5:38look, I'm traveling through time. I've done this a million times already.
- 5:41I've actually spent centuries doing this over and over again, watching everyone die for
- 5:46centuries. So for some reason, I can learn physics because I think that
- 5:49will help. But over these centuries, I'm not gonna tell one person this.
- 5:55Well, you could say in his defense, he feels like he doesn't
- 5:58have enough time to be telling anybody anything. He's just trying to get it
- 6:00done. When you have tunnel vision, and because I've been there where you
- 6:02have tunnel vision on something with like you're doing a task or a project.
- 6:06And again, I'm not saving every branch of the timeline. But when I
- 6:11understand that, that that having the tunnel vision being so sure like I gotta
- 6:15do this myself. I do this myself. But it also makes me feel
- 6:17like, damn, has he learned nothing. He hasn't learned nothing in the
- 6:20last few episodes. He hasn't learned nothing in the last few years centuries,
- 6:25Like have you not learned that? No man is the island? And then
- 6:28at the very end he becomes an island. Like it's just like how what
- 6:32where is the Where did he learn? Right? Like I don't, I
- 6:34don't know, I don't, I don't know what did they? All?
- 6:40Right? This has been my thing that and I look, I feel I
- 6:44don't feel redemption really because I kind of called this from episode one and I
- 6:48I really feel saddened because I said I was distressing it with a friend of
- 6:53mine last night we were talking about the whole season, and I'll say,
- 6:55yo, maybe there's this film that I feel like everyone should see. It's
- 6:59called a fish Story, I think, or a fish Story. It's a
- 7:01Japanese I want to say film. I don't even want to give anything away,
- 7:05but just so you can find out about it, because there's feels a
- 7:09lot of things called fish Story. It's a movie about a comet hitting the
- 7:13earth. And why I bring it up is because when I watched the film,
- 7:17Mellow Brown put me onto it, and I'm watching it. I'm really
- 7:23enjoying it throughout the movie, but it wasn't until the last ten minutes movie.
- 7:27Throughout the movie, I'm sitting there like, eh, I'm joining this,
- 7:30but I really don't know what census mates. And then at the last
- 7:33ten minutes of the movie, everything fucking comes together in one of the most
- 7:36brilliant pieces of writing I've ever seen, and it's stunning, and it became
- 7:42one of my favorite films I've ever seen. I only watched it one I
- 7:44also blown away and I gotta watch it again. But it was just so
- 7:47incredible and I tell everyone about it. So watching Loki, I was like,
- 7:50Yo, maybe that's what this is going to happen here. Maybe the
- 7:55fifth sixth episode. However, many episodes it was is going to pull everything
- 7:59together to be stunned at the end, and I'm gonna be blown away.
- 8:01Once episode started, I knew that wasn't happening. Like once they started doing
- 8:05tomely Death over and over again, once they started doing Edge of Tomorrow shit,
- 8:09I was like, this ain't happening. And then when they did it
- 8:11over and over again with Sylvie, I really knew it wasn't happening. Or
- 8:16with he who remains being murked off over and over again, then I was
- 8:20like, oh no, this episode is going nowhere, like most of the
- 8:22season has gone nowhere. It's just wasting time. It's using comedy in this
- 8:26episode. You know what should be well, I mean, what should be
- 8:31a horrific moment, but after ten times becomes comedy. When you're sitting there
- 8:35watching time, he get splattered over and over again, and you know it's
- 8:37trying to happen. Nothing funny about it. I was rolling, But when
- 8:43they switched angles, when they gave me a different angles, him getting splattered,
- 8:46it was hilarity. Yeah, it was hilarity by then hilarity. It
- 8:50was funny when we did it right with the pure comedy, pure comedy to
- 8:54me, and then hearing the sound of see you soon squelt like squelch U
- 9:01so you sum every time comedy squelched? Uh? So you see comedy?
- 9:07I was rolling. Yeah, that's what I mean. It was overdone,
- 9:09but like I didn't even get to the point of laughter, right, I
- 9:11just talked to the point of border. Man, you know, why not
- 9:13laugh? Because what else I'm gonna do? Okay, hear what you're saying.
- 9:16So I they spun the block on that man getting linguinied literally infinite number
- 9:24of times, and then I was just like, okay, well, at
- 9:26least that's the end of that. It's been ten minutes of this. And
- 9:28then to your point, when they did the whole go back to Sylvie,
- 9:31like again, spend the block on that to then kill him a different way,
- 9:33I'm like, what are they trying to say here? I was just
- 9:37like, you really don't fuck with this, nigga. I'm like, okay,
- 9:39I get it, but I don't. First of all, I don't
- 9:43even know why you would think that this would come together in like this beautiful
- 9:48ultimate poetry at the end, like they send one episode in ten minutes sitting
- 9:52about eating keylon Pie and that's how Oh, I know you weren't gonna get
- 9:56that. Oh, I knew from the jump, and I look, I
- 9:58called from the trump. I told y'all everyone out there. And I'm gonna
- 10:03get to some points about this episode because there was one person particular who was
- 10:05like arguing, Oh, you just want to see this and you don't get
- 10:09and I've heard a lot of people talk about it. Somebody, Well get
- 10:11to this right now, right, Okay. There's a great run in comic
- 10:16books. It was in Journey into Mystery. I think Loki even had his
- 10:20own comment during this run. But parts of it take place in the Journey
- 10:22into Mystery series, which was by Karen Gillan and some other cats wrote at
- 10:26a time. But this happens after Young Avengers, and this is when Loki
- 10:31a lot of wild terrible shit he's done, Like he's done absolute horrible shit,
- 10:37but he saves Astard and saves everyone and sacrifices himself to do it.
- 10:41So when he's reincarnated, he comes back as like this kid Loki, and
- 10:46everybody still hates him from what he's done before, but he's tutantly trying to
- 10:50prove that he's not that person. And also he has like this memory of
- 10:56the Loki that he killed haunting him, telling him he is that person and
- 11:01he'll always be that person. I remember you killed me, you know,
- 11:03So this happens. Yeah, he's calling himself out basically, and it's really
- 11:09ill series. And it ends with Loki transforming from being the god of lies
- 11:13to the God of stories, which is what they were doing in this series
- 11:18in a very I can't even say condensed form. I just say because to
- 11:22me this episode, if you've never read that comic, you'll never fucking get
- 11:26that reference. And it doesn't really say it with any amount of its chest.
- 11:33It's just like, oh, he's the god of stories, you know,
- 11:35and it's you're kind of meant to infer that, you know, He
- 11:39says, I know you are, well, okay, you're you're mentioned for
- 11:43that. He is now the god of the Tva, I guess, and
- 11:48through that he by holding all the timelines together and allowing all the timelines to
- 11:52have their own story, he becomes the god of stories. You would know
- 11:58that. He didn't read that, and even if you read it, it's
- 12:01just a very weak translation of it. It's not like the book is better.
- 12:05It's like they just took the idea that he's the god of stories and
- 12:07stuck it onto this ending, which once again I lest I called from the
- 12:11first episode is pretty much this whole season was just a waiting pattern to get
- 12:18to Kane Avengers Dynasty, I mean Avengers Kane Dynasty. And that's why I
- 12:22was trying to say, Uh, they left us with this monumental iconography.
- 12:28But it's that's what I was trying to say. Monumental was the word,
- 12:31yes, but like that that the end of him like literally holding the strands
- 12:35of time and lives and all that, and in a tree which could also
- 12:41represent the you know, Joenheim. I think it is the tree young and
- 12:48all that ship. Yeah, I got it. And I'm like, he's,
- 12:50you know, having a throne and all that symbolism behind him. That
- 12:54ship was fire. I will say that. Like the way it looked and
- 12:56the way the image is incredible, incredible, him stepping up to become that
- 13:03god, him shutting his skin and all that stuff, all of these symbolism
- 13:07and all of that literarily, like all of that I got. I thought
- 13:13it looked beautiful, great, great, great, that's it. It's also
- 13:18empty it was also feeling empty and now, don't think that's what you was
- 13:24intended like you're supposed to be like, and I'm sure people will and that's
- 13:28great. God damn that that that nigga went through a journey. He made
- 13:31it there. I was just like, he did some fucking dumb mass ship
- 13:33for forty five minutes and then realized I gotta be the nigga to get up
- 13:37there and not And then it's not just it's a centuries And I guess you
- 13:41can sit there and have the argument that he needed centuries worth of lessons but
- 13:46he was to learn. But I'm just like, but there was no lessons
- 13:48right here, just doing the same shit open over again. He said,
- 13:52Oh shit, it wasn't even like you're doing it wasn't even like you're doing
- 13:54the same shit over right. There's there was so no he those same shit
- 13:58over again up until a point, right, But then the centuries is spent
- 14:03just learning physics, which really didn't amount to anything. It didn't. I
- 14:07was like, what, It's like, why did you need a learn it
- 14:09when this dude already knows it and he's right there, What did you know
- 14:13an he gonna change anything? It didn't because he wanted to do it all
- 14:18on his own. But he accepting that he wanted his friends, and he
- 14:22had his friends there. But no, he wants to change the course of
- 14:24everything on his own. No, but he said he wanted his friends.
- 14:28He's but he didn't say. But listen to what I'm saying. He's doing
- 14:33it on his own. He's not asking for help. He's not explaining other
- 14:35people what's going on or why he's doing what he's doing. He's not he's
- 14:39over centuries. He's doing it himself. Because man sat through the whole Vengeance
- 14:45movie and didn't realize that teamwork helps the dream work. And that's what I
- 14:48said earlier about him not learning anything. I was just like, like he
- 14:52saw he saw a vengurance, he saw throwing one, two or three.
- 14:56Like he ain't figure out. No, he literally did. He sat there
- 15:01and watched the movie of his life. He saw the same joints we did,
- 15:05and he still figured out. Okayay, he didn't live it, but
- 15:07he did watch it. We didn't live it, and we watched the movies
- 15:09and we're like, Yo, being a team works, it's great. You
- 15:11know. You know what I'm saying that wasn't the Loki that went through all
- 15:15the stuff that he watched. He watched the movies. But we watched the
- 15:18movies and we're like we have a knowledge at the end of the movies.
- 15:22We're like, being an adventure is awesome. You know, having a team
- 15:24is great. This man watched the movie. So it's like that shit was
- 15:30height, she was mid and that's okay. It's just here's the It's like,
- 15:35this is the this is the thing that has been happening with this show.
- 15:39There's so many things that look good, that look interesting. There's like
- 15:45on the cusp of greatness. It's just like it's it's not because its defeat
- 15:52from the Jews of victory every time every episode it's sitting there on the like
- 15:58it's like, I say, it's how someone talked about there was this great
- 16:03review of the Star Wars prequels when they talk about how there's all these great
- 16:07lightsaber fights and stuff, but they have no emotion behind them. And it's
- 16:11the same thing that people talk about with Zack Snyder and Justice League. When
- 16:17you have these most I mean, I would never not say Zach Snyder can't
- 16:21put a shot together, because he would have some fucking shots. But I'm
- 16:25not I don't care about any of this. And that is and this is
- 16:30what and like and are saying your hater or your hair hat it. I
- 16:37am not saying it was bad. It's just like it didn't mean anything.
- 16:38No. I said from the beginning, this was wildly entertained, but only
- 16:42because you have Tom Hidlson and Owen Wilson. Beyond that, this show would
- 16:47be a much hotter mess this season. But they are so entertaining. I
- 16:52need these Marvel properties to mean something. Yeah, I really do, because
- 16:57I'm investing you, investing you as the viewer. Listen, you were investing
- 17:02in Norton this amount of time when you put it together and there's and it's
- 17:06just like, god damn like you because you make me feel like an idiot,
- 17:10like I've sat there and you know, I'm waiting. I gotta wait
- 17:12till Thursday, every Thursday, nine pm Eastern to watch you make a fool
- 17:17out of me and watch I sat there like I wish he was in the
- 17:22ruin me when he was doing it. I said, well, why the
- 17:23fuck is he doing it? Yea, I was just sitting there so funny
- 17:27because I was just like Oh my god, this is not getting better.
- 17:32They're really doing Edge of Tomorrow. Like I like that Edge of Tomorrow wasn't
- 17:36a hit, you know what I mean. If y'all done Fish Story,
- 17:37that's a Japanese movie most people haven't seen, y'all could have pulled that shit
- 17:41off, robbed it. You know, nobody would have known the better.
- 17:45But you rob Edge of Tomorrow like Tom Cruise ain't a worldwide superstar. Jesus,
- 17:52I don't know. I don't know, Like how all right? I
- 17:56got, all right, question I got? I got a couple of questions
- 17:59real quick. Right, all right? First I had another one, but
- 18:02I can't remember what it is, so I'll just I'll go back to that,
- 18:06and I'll just ask you this right quick? What the fuck happens to
- 18:08fit the time? At the end of this we all said that that's so
- 18:11funny. That was like, no, wait a minute, where the fuck
- 18:15is Victor? Great question because you saw that they never showed him. There's
- 18:19no answer. All we did see was you saw young Victor, you know,
- 18:23the previous Victor that was supposed to have gotten the t V a handle,
- 18:29but he doesn't get the book. But he does not get the book
- 18:30because because the window because homegirl isn't there to what's her name isn't there to
- 18:37give put the book on the window sill, so it never happens. She
- 18:40ob has a new edition of the book. Oh, he has a new
- 18:42edition the book, and also rens Slayer ends up in that glimbo area with
- 18:45Eliath with also with behind her was the tuts Tva what's what's underneath it?
- 18:56Underground thing where President Loki and them was staying at. Oh, that's behind
- 19:03her the pyramids. You're saying that's rama tuts pyramid the time, I mean,
- 19:07why not fuck it? Okay, you know that's how That's how I
- 19:11felt. That whole scene was why not fuck it? Because so that's Renslayer
- 19:14when she got erased, but when okay, Loki was pruned, when Loki
- 19:18got pruned. But we also sawt member that the ship got reset, So
- 19:22I don't even know when she got pruned, right, because they got reset
- 19:26because the rest of the people who got squashed were there wish people to get
- 19:30squashed little yeah, they were there aware at the very end, at the
- 19:36very end when it was any do you mean general docks and them general docks
- 19:40and then was not in there. Okay, but what happened she never got
- 19:44squashed before little moder because it was it was General Docks and the other one,
- 19:48the one little chair. Yeah, she didn't get No, she wasn't.
- 19:51She was not in that room with them, okay, because she was
- 19:52in their last scene in the wheelchair. It was there because she was the
- 19:56only one that was kind of like, okay, but see that don't make
- 20:00no sense. But they really didn't get squashed like they He reset it a
- 20:03million times one so they never got squashed. But no, you're right,
- 20:08he never No, he didn't go back. He did go back that far
- 20:11when he goes to Sylvie, because that's even before them. When he finally
- 20:15makes a decision, he goes right remember when he find his division. I
- 20:21straight up like he could have gone back and saved him at any point.
- 20:25But could he? But let me explain. When he goes back and makes
- 20:26that final decision to say I'm going to be the God of Stories or whatever
- 20:30you want to call him, he only goes back to well, after all
- 20:32that should have happened well after squashing, after why not just on that last
- 20:37go through, why not go back right before and saved him from getting squatled.
- 20:41For why tunnel vision, for why he wants everything to survive. He
- 20:45wants his friends, and he's going to do it on his own, one
- 20:48way or another. For what those people who got squashed friends? No,
- 20:52my Nigga docks and then was not his friend? Them suicide bombers and the
- 20:56suicide time twelve was not his friends? So why the fun would he go
- 21:00back and save them? They were not on his mind. He wanted to
- 21:03save these five. His definition of friends is fucking very weird, No,
- 21:07man, I mean his definition of want to save everyone is also very weird.
- 21:11What else? What else was your question that you had? Well,
- 21:15my main question was what happened to Victor Tomney? I ask, and there's
- 21:18no answer because they just don't show him. I don't know, and I'm
- 21:22confused about that. And and I gotta also say, I am just confused
- 21:26overall about like, so what's happening? Yeah, And I just this,
- 21:33I gotta tell you. This last episode felt like Loki's speech when he was
- 21:37trying to explain if I if I show him what their live could have been,
- 21:42then maybe they have the choice to make a choice. And I'm like,
- 21:45no, no, can you just make it shut up because you just
- 21:48want your niggas with you, You just want to do who ras shit with
- 21:49your friends like that don't make no sense, And that's what it felt.
- 21:52It doesn't make any sense if Tommy doesn't create the TVA and then who did,
- 21:59Like his inventions lead to it. So if he doesn't get that book,
- 22:04why are they even there? I don't know. I'm sure there's something
- 22:11little that were missing her, some something. I don't think something random narrative
- 22:15point someone's gonna I just feel like they've missed something because then they made the
- 22:18point to make Movius say oh there was some there was a thin Yeah,
- 22:30so that's what happened. It was adjacent. They were in a different realm,
- 22:33adjacent to the main universe. I'm like, why did you bother talking
- 22:36about that? But not because the victor timely because they didn't like that didn't
- 22:42make sense. I feel it's the same thing with Moonnight right because and I
- 22:48was extremely uh, I don't want to say Paton will say aggregate, just
- 22:52like by Moonnight, because the director at one point came out and was like,
- 22:56yo, this is a series you can watch over and and I'm like,
- 23:00no, it's not bad because you don't have the answers through the first
- 23:03time, Like, it doesn't make sense the first time I watched it,
- 23:07I didn't need to go back and see that it didn't make sense. And
- 23:11I feel the same thing about this. I feel like this is a show
- 23:14where the writer's room came together and was like, Okay, we got a
- 23:15lot of things. You know, does this really made sense? No?
- 23:18But people aren't going to figure it out. And that's my problem because we
- 23:22live in an Internet age where people are going to figure it out, or
- 23:26as with Moonnight, a lot of people just blindly were like, Yo,
- 23:27this is great, and I'm like that's cool and all, but you can't
- 23:32tell me this is a show that deserves multiple watches. If you just tell
- 23:34me this has show that you know, watch through and then don't think about
- 23:37it too much, I'm fine with that. But if you act like this
- 23:40is something I'm supposed to think about, then I'm not fine with that.
- 23:42And Loki was acting like something you're supposed to think about. And I don't
- 23:45think they thought it through all the way. I think they just left it
- 23:48open ended like well, and and this is probably my bias being Loki's one
- 23:55of my favorite characters. I just feel like they did them dirty, Like
- 23:59I feel like they did Sylvie super dirty. Why no, you love Sylvie?
- 24:02I don't, really. I still don't. Ain't really. I love
- 24:04Loki too, And that's why I love Sylvie because I love their interaction in
- 24:07the first season and I love what she represented to him in the first season.
- 24:11It was yeah, you know what I'm saying, I love both of
- 24:12them. Trust I love Loki since that man threw iron Man out the window
- 24:15and that was like, oh my god, and like you can sit here
- 24:21and say, like, you know, well, no, Loki is now
- 24:22He's the most selfless god now and I'm like, literally everything he did up
- 24:26until the very end was because of shit that he wanted. Yeah, and
- 24:30even in the end, it's because of shit that he wanted. And he
- 24:33I mean, he says he doesn't want to throw, but he did want
- 24:36the thrown and this Loki did want to throw. Like like this, his
- 24:40motivations were so all over the place in this series, and it's like,
- 24:45but that's not that's just weird, you know what. It's like a character
- 24:48shit at least want things either get them realized, it's not what I want,
- 24:52and then go for someone else. I mean, that's what we all
- 24:55do in life. We go for things and then we get them and we're
- 24:57like, Okay, that's what I wanted, or no to say exactly what
- 25:00I wanted. I gotta go for something else, and he was just doing
- 25:03for whatever. Told the episode it was like, what episode he tells Sophie
- 25:07we are God, we should run this ship and then he's like, I
- 25:11don't want to throw them. What the fuck did you just tell her that
- 25:12for it? Then? And then the other episode he's like, oh,
- 25:15we gotta hope these cops get better. You know, when has that ever
- 25:18worked out, Loki in the history of man? You know, hoping cops
- 25:22get better? Never you know, and that's what you're saying, hope these
- 25:26tom cops there better, And so he says different things. Do you hope
- 25:29Tom Copps dire better? Or are you a god who runs everything? Do
- 25:33you want people to have free choice? Are you a god who runs everything?
- 25:37It's none of this has made sense. Episode line, the line seen
- 25:38the scene sometimes, so h yeah, they did that man dirty, they
- 25:44did everybody dirty, they did us dirty. Then and then you know it
- 25:48got the that's the one thing they got for me. It's like I feel
- 25:51sad for this nigga, but not because like because he's so selfless. I
- 25:53just feel sad how they got him out there, raw dog in the fucking
- 25:57he's the new Loom, Like he's just out there. He's just out there
- 26:02with nothing, like this is what y'all get this nigga, Like y'all tall,
- 26:04this nigga a loser for for centuries and then he goes. Then he
- 26:08just gotta sit there and eat that ship like damn Dirk. And that's it
- 26:14for Tom? Is that how we finish all? Tom Hendleson's run in them?
- 26:18C you for real? Like that's it or or or like or the
- 26:22next thing gonna come along. He's just gonna walk out and like, Okay,
- 26:26you know, gotta be an avenger now, you know if that's because
- 26:29that's how I feel like the series is. It's gonna be either people are
- 26:30gonna ignore it or Tom hendles And that's crazy because it's just like to ignore
- 26:37something that that again monumental iconography at the end, just to be ignored,
- 26:42just to say this nigga gave up everything and look at where he is now
- 26:47because of us. He lived, because we live because of him, and
- 26:49y'all niggas is not even gonna space Jesus, space Jesus, and y'all not
- 26:55gonna watch the ship every fucking again. It's gonna matter and this is gonna
- 27:00come back up again? Or is he gonna end up like a celestial in
- 27:02the middle of the Indian Ocean where nobody mentions it, nobody talks about it?
- 27:07Dude, people know? Will people know? I don't fucking know.
- 27:10Are they gonna replace all the tapestries of the quote three wise men with tapestries
- 27:14of Loki being space Jesus. I mean, who's gonna care? Like,
- 27:18are we Are you gonna really watch the season three of Loki with no Loki?
- 27:21No? Like, when are we gonna see the resolution of rins Layer
- 27:26and whatever? She was? Like? Was that just Aliath? But but
- 27:30I thought was Dawn because he who ran you know, alive was a thing
- 27:33of he who remains right that No, he remained basically just controlled, not
- 27:40control that. That's who remains pad at that point. But he never stopped
- 27:44it, He never turned it off, like a life was just eating ship
- 27:47stop Aliath? So life just stays eating up things they get. And so
- 27:53basically that was like her end or that was her she don't they're gonna keep
- 27:59that fucking at it because you saw the determined looked on her face, and
- 28:02knowing what you know, at least from the com of a history of Havanna,
- 28:06you know that she she's a fucking time time time know what they call
- 28:10it, whatever, But she's a time nigga too, So she and then
- 28:12she gotta get her revenge because you don't fuck with Kang. And then it's
- 28:15gonna be she's gonna they're gonna throw They're gonna keep her in limbon till they
- 28:18need to use her, say like, oh okay, let's fuck up somebody
- 28:22planning to throw her in as a wrench. She's gonna be the new wrench.
- 28:25But I seriously got it because I doubt she shows up and came down.
- 28:27She could be the new wrench. How about that could be in anything
- 28:33they want. Yeah, but when you know, we we just all right,
- 28:37this hathing to be distressed on uh our latest episode, I think,
- 28:41right, but I can't even remember. We've been recording a lot lately.
- 28:44But I'll just bring it up here, right, The real issue with MC
- 28:47right now is because it's so large, and it wasn't That did not have
- 28:52to be an issue. It just became they're not They don't have a focused
- 28:56storyline throughout these series where it's like you're following series into the next movie,
- 29:00into the net series. It's like you're following this series which might be talking
- 29:03about this, you know, echo the street level character over here, and
- 29:07then you're following this series Loki, which is talking about a man, you
- 29:11know, becoming the god of so yeah, and then you're following the Eternals
- 29:17and we're forgetting that there's a celestial in the middle of that. It'll Indian
- 29:21Ocean. Where before you just had Thor, iron Man, then Avengers,
- 29:25and they were back to Iron Man again, and they were back to Thor
- 29:27again, and they were back to the Avengers again. And so that's a
- 29:32problem now And it didn't have to be this way. They could have done
- 29:34it just a little bit more focused. But covid et cetera. And then
- 29:40I have to say bad writing. You know, really it's thrown off a
- 29:42lot of this. This is what Yes, you're reiterating what we've been saying.
- 29:48But I have a question, do you think they went too big,
- 29:51too fast. And when I say too big too fast, I mean from
- 29:55Earth Bound, with the exception of some godlike heroes going from Earth Bounce,
- 30:00Great Eternal Celestields, all these upper crust you know, Glactus, you know
- 30:04what I'm saying. Do you think that that was done too quickly or do
- 30:07you just think it was just wasn't done skillfully enough? Like the universe,
- 30:11the MCU expand too fast for its own good. I always said, and
- 30:15I said this back then, that it was gonna be tough to top Infinity
- 30:18Warren Endgame, because in the comics that is still something that is not rarely
- 30:22top. You know, people still talk about the first time Fanel snapped his
- 30:26fingers and the never I can't think of a moment in comments that ever was
- 30:30so ridiculous like that since other than things like Age of Apocalypse where they completely
- 30:37rewrote the X Men, but that would take a lot to ever get to
- 30:41that point in movies and series. So yeah, in one way, But
- 30:45I also thought that one thing they could do was just focus on characters,
- 30:51and that's what they have been failing to do for a lot of this,
- 30:55because a lot of this has just been well, will just hold the line
- 30:57until the nets even is a movie, and that's not what they were now
- 31:02adventures now what well? I mean, we know we have Kane Dynasty come
- 31:06up, but that's not what they were doing before. Before It's like Iron
- 31:08Man was telling the story. I mean, that's not even what they're doing.
- 31:11You're saying it's not character driven anymore. Yeah, that's it's plot driven.
- 31:15I mean, yeah, it's pot but it's not even plot driven.
- 31:17It's no plot because there's no plot, like endpoint driven. It's like,
- 31:22how do like, how we get to it's holding I want I want to
- 31:26see Silver Surfer? How do we get into Silver Surfer. Let's just through
- 31:29a whole bunch of ship that just to get there. But it's not even
- 31:32it's not even getting it's not even getting the Silver Surfer. It's just holding
- 31:34it until we get to the next thing. And it's it's really bad.
- 31:40You know. This is what I talk about when people talk about content like
- 31:44this is content. This is not a story. This is just entertainment.
- 31:48It's just jokes. It's spectacle and then it's over. There's no real story
- 31:55having been told here. It's nothing sticking to your ribs. No character,
- 31:57there's no meat to it. No character really evolved or grew other than Loki.
- 32:01Suddenly it's like, poof, now I've got a stories. It's not
- 32:05like he grew to that. It's not like all through this series we were
- 32:07seeing it like oh okay, wow, they're planning the seeds, so yo,
- 32:12Okay, he's talking about stories now, you know. Oh, everyone's
- 32:15telling him he's a liar all the time, and he's trying to deny that
- 32:17all the time and trying to show people it's not about lies and how every
- 32:22lie can be a story, because that's what Karen Gillan and all the other
- 32:24writers of that series got into, you know, And there's none of that.
- 32:29There was none of that here. It's just suddenly, poop poop.
- 32:30I'm grabbing all these branches and I'm gonna sit on the throne that I didn't
- 32:34want. But before I said I was a god. Because there was no
- 32:37through line. People didn't have motivations, and when you have a character that
- 32:43has motivations, that's when you have a great story. I was telling somebody
- 32:46this the other day, like, and this is what people have been Like
- 32:50my partner mellow, you know, tries to grind into my head all the
- 32:53time. He's like, Yo, fuck whatever plot you keep coming to me
- 32:57with. Fuck whatever. You know all you got the ill idea for this
- 33:00series? I don't give a shit. What's the character that's trying to drive
- 33:04it? What character and what do they need so badly? That makes you
- 33:08want to write them one and it made other people want to watch them because
- 33:12people want to see them go for something. We didn't see Loki go for
- 33:15shit. We knew at the beginning of this series that Loki wanted to save
- 33:19Sylvie. That's what he ended the last season was where's Sylvie? Where's Sylvie?
- 33:22She just killed? He remains and then halfway through this my man's like
- 33:25I do all my friends and then it's like I want to be in God
- 33:29Sylvie. It's like all this shit. There's a bunch of ideas, but
- 33:32no followed through and he never really got any of them to be like,
- 33:38oh, that's not what I wanted, you know, Like when he gets
- 33:40his friends back, it wasn't that he gets his friends back. He gets
- 33:45a faith to the friends back, and then they all die and then he's
- 33:49you know, reduced to going back to these people who are as friends,
- 33:52but he doesn't get them either, and I don't know, man, I
- 33:57mean, and then it's just I don't know, like I don't even know
- 34:00what to make of it, and it keep getting that empty feeling when I
- 34:04keep telling you about the latest Disney plush shows, where it's just like I
- 34:07don't care, like I don't care about the billions dying on the on the
- 34:10Linguini timeline because I don't. It doesn't matter. I don't care about be
- 34:16fifteen. To be honest with you, I don't. And in fact,
- 34:20they show that twice and are supposed to care the second time. She screams
- 34:22I didn't, or, like somebody said it in a common section today about
- 34:28Infinity War, even you don't give a shit about the billions trillions of people
- 34:31being snapped out of existance, you give a shit, because Peter Parker says,
- 34:36I don't want to go mister Stark like right now, it's you know,
- 34:40the chills up my spine because Tom fucking Holland, you know, in
- 34:44that scene, and that's who I care about about anybody else. But I
- 34:49would even say I would take that further, but also flip it, like
- 34:52you care because these people who have character and story and arcs with yes,
- 34:58this is happening to them, and and then we're like, wait a minute,
- 35:00this's happening to them, and now it's happening to everyone else. It
- 35:04actually fucking matters, right, That's why, like for me, it did
- 35:08eventually matter that everyone's getting fucking popa read because as you say, uh,
- 35:14this little this is not kick he not a little boy. But I'm trying
- 35:16to say Peter Parker fucking dusting the wind. And that's what it is.
- 35:21Because it's hard for the human brain to even comprehend it. It's like when
- 35:22we see someone on the news, you know, thousands of Dowson, where
- 35:25you're like, oh, that's bad, but it's not till it's a friend
- 35:29of yours dies. Then you're like, fuck right, you know this this
- 35:32my question you about did the answer you expand too fast, too soon.
- 35:37My other question goes about like, first of all, I always get nervous
- 35:40whenever time jumps up as a plot or tries to be a plot, because
- 35:45multiverse is a big problem. No I know, but the idea no,
- 35:50no, no, the idea of time travel and controlling time this is and
- 35:52that because it's very rarely done properly. And when I say properly, I
- 35:55mean to a point that it doesn't even confuse the people writing the story,
- 36:00right, Like I could tell, I could tell that they didn't know what
- 36:02the fuck was going on by the end of this this story, because I'm
- 36:06just like, like you said, it just it was just things that wasn't
- 36:08making sense and things that it wasn't just like purposeful narrative, you know,
- 36:13loose end. It was just like, I think your niggas forgot about this.
- 36:15It's like, yeah, they didn't. You don't realize that somebody,
- 36:19no, somebody in that room couldn't sleep about that ship. But they couldn't
- 36:22figure it out. They couldn't figure it out. And that's and that's the
- 36:25problem with stories dealing with time. I'm just like, it is very difficult.
- 36:30Like I think you had said you thought you I think you yeah,
- 36:34I think you said you think the terminity is the or maybe I could be
- 36:36making one of the rare ones that time travel stuff really does work. Time
- 36:43time was one of the hardest things. And and and not because people are
- 36:46stupid or they're not clever enough. The human brain can barely comprehend the mechanics
- 36:52of it. Let alone talk a story about it and make it make sense.
- 36:55Because we only think on a certain dimensional level. We just there's no
- 37:00fucking way outside of that. And I'm like, when you start trying to
- 37:02make conversation and story outside of what you can humanly comprehend and then trying to
- 37:08explain it to someone else, ain't no way. It's gonna become fucking spaghetti,
- 37:14just like fucking Victor Timely fifty eleven times. So I'm just like you.
- 37:19It's one thing to try to be ambitious and anotherhing like, damn,
- 37:22you gotta you gotta relax, like doll it back a little bit. Can
- 37:25you make abc make sense first? Can you make that make sense first?
- 37:29Can you know what I'm saying? Sometimes less, it's more, keep it
- 37:31simple, stupid. I don't know whether youphe Muslims. I gotta say,
- 37:35like, it's just like I think you're doing too much, and maybe that's
- 37:37why it didn't come out the way you wanted it to. The other issue
- 37:42is that you didn't bring up it's toime travel like I think tom travel stories
- 37:46are one of the most difficult things to write. I don't recommend it to
- 37:50anyone I've said I don't want to do it again. I'm not interested in
- 37:53it, you know, unless I mean, there's a few I probably will,
- 37:58but you know, it's tough. But multiverse it presents a whole other
- 38:02problem. And the problem it presents is you don't care about anyone because there's
- 38:08always another iteration of these characters. It was when it was like it came
- 38:12up when people when the recast of Chili Shits started coming out, and people
- 38:15are like, well, we can just bring in it to o'challa from another
- 38:19universe and it doesn't have to look like Chadwick, which is besides the point
- 38:22because the real problem with that is one that's not the T'Challa we know and
- 38:28love, right, even if you bring him in. He used to be
- 38:30like, oh, I don't know these motherfuckers, right, And you know
- 38:31what I mean. It's one of my favorite, uh don't be a Menace,
- 38:37one of my favorite movies, but one of my favorite scenes with the
- 38:39dude goes to visit him to jail and he's like, why you ain't come
- 38:42to see me before? It's like, I don't know you, nigga,
- 38:45you know, And that's exactly how the'challa would be you know, you
- 38:49know, sure he comes up to him, Oh my beloved, and he's
- 38:51like, who's this shorty? You know what I mean? In my dimension,
- 38:53I was married to a white woman. Surprise. You know, everybody's
- 38:57mad. You know I had to and everybody's feelings like there, But that's
- 39:00what I'm saying. And so we have this issue now in the MCU where
- 39:05a character dying nothing really matters because we know there's another iteration and they can
- 39:09just come in. And so that's the thing with this Kane thing. It's
- 39:15I don't I still don't feel any threat and they still have not made me
- 39:20feel any threat. And it's gotten worse that we had a feeling a threat
- 39:23early on in this season when you know Loki, I mean Loki's running all
- 39:28around the TV like, oh my god, this niggas come in, you
- 39:30know. And that's when that was the first time since you know, he
- 39:36remains first dying and said see you soon. When he died and said see
- 39:38you soon, I was like, oh that was like you were like you
- 39:42knew that there was a level of gravitas and they ruined it immediately in a
- 39:49man And so then they had a chance to bring it back with Loki,
- 39:52and when he comes in, I'm like, oh, but the way Loki
- 39:54is just like, oh, well, I'll just call the Universal War at
- 39:57the end of this one. They like, well, it can't be that
- 40:00bad, like because that's literally what he does at this one. He's like,
- 40:05well, okay, I'll be the Goddess stories or whatever you know they
- 40:07want to do. I'm trying to give some hope to this series and know
- 40:09they were thinking about that, but by doing that, he's bringing this war
- 40:14on. Like there's no question. They go into what they say as a
- 40:17war room. They're worried about the variants already, they know they're coming.
- 40:22So once again, this series did exactly what I said it was gonna do.
- 40:24And I'm so tight about that is that it ended exactly where the first
- 40:30season ended. The TVA and people at the TVA know the variants are coming.
- 40:37Yeah, it just took Loki out of the picture. Damn, nothing
- 40:40fucking changed. Huh. It was like the season of Ahska where all the
- 40:47ended. In the end of the season of Ahsoka is Ahsoka and Sabine are
- 40:51now trapped in the other galaxy and Ezra is back in the normal galaxy along
- 40:54with thrown, and it was like nothing else changed. And this all was
- 41:00was we took Loki out of the picture, and the TVA knows the variants
- 41:04are coming, and I guess, am man, those the variants are coming.
- 41:07And that's pretty much it. And no one else learned anything that I
- 41:13can recall. Mobius, yeah, didn't learn or row. I mean,
- 41:17he learned the ad of life, but he knew that already. He just
- 41:21learned specifically what it was. But that's just one of his lives. That
- 41:23was my other point, Like, when you go and look at that,
- 41:25you know, these Mobius with the kids, that's just one of your lives.
- 41:29And that might not from there's infinite Mobius is out there doing infinite amount
- 41:34of things. They're over here. Let me just stand any one toy passes
- 41:37while these fucking variants are gathering an army to destroy everything. Let me just
- 41:40stand here and look at these kids. He already said he was retiring,
- 41:44he was done with that ship, so okay, so he just like,
- 41:45fucking let the war come and destroy everything. I ain't got to do with
- 41:49that. That's what he was talking to Beef. He was like, yo,
- 41:51I'm hanging it up flat screen. I'm not done with this ship,
- 41:53all right. So, so he's not a hero at all. This man
- 41:55is a pure feelin I mean he literally is like knows there is a cataclysmic
- 42:01universal he's supposed to do about it? You at least have knowledge of it.
- 42:06Fam. That'd be like if I was like, yo, there's a
- 42:07cataculistic war coming that I know about, Tatana, but I ain't even gonna
- 42:12tell you about it or do anything to prevent it. That's like, you
- 42:15know, Sarah Connor knowing the thing is coming and she says, fuck it.
- 42:20That's not what Sarah Connor did, because she's a hero, Okay,
- 42:24I like, you know, I mean he's a hero, you know,
- 42:30Like this is mobious, Like you know, he's running around with gods.
- 42:35He has knowledge of time travel. What are you talking about? What is
- 42:37he supposed to do? He can do a lot, you know, but
- 42:43within what we saw, I'm like, what is he supposed to do?
- 42:46I don't know portals? He better figure something out, you know, if
- 42:51I can try. Fans as tired died, so am I you know,
- 42:55but I don't know a universal cataclystmic war is coming, you know, I'm
- 43:00still over here podcasting girls going to Hell. I still gotta do this show.
- 43:05Oh well, what would you rate Loki Season two? Oof? Entertaining?
- 43:15Surprisingly in the fact that I would give him entertaining D a D though,
- 43:20I mean like it's like that that shit is like it's a D with
- 43:25an aspid as to it. And then ask is Tom Hddleton and Owen Wilson
- 43:30that aspect? And also my love for oh my god, miss raw Yeah,
- 43:37yeah, shout out to lock it down regime? What's up, goodies
- 43:42man? Yeah, quiet summer. We like literally just asked that question.
- 43:45She said, we at the end of the day, do you recommend watch
- 43:47if you like Owen Wilson and Thomas and then yes, because they're amazing in
- 43:52this, you know, and if you like wasting time, then yes.
- 43:55But there's so many other better shows out there for I'm sorry, like we
- 44:00gotta, I gotta. I haven't even finished it yet. The Resonation Dolls
- 44:04is three seasons of Perfection. I have two episodes left. Yeah, I'm
- 44:07holding out because I don't want to finish this fucking perfection And it's like this
- 44:13is what perfection looks like. Atlanta is four seasons. I was talking about
- 44:16it with my boy last night. It's four seasons of perfection, you know
- 44:20what I mean. We like me and you were talking about this and we
- 44:22were talking about the Marvels and are a few of it, And you were
- 44:25like, well, the Marvels, you know, the fight scenes. You
- 44:28can't expect it, Yes, you can. Like, I'm tired of these
- 44:30motherfuckers getting away with shit just because they're superhero themes, because we don't like
- 44:37Spider Man. No Way Home shows you you can do better. Across the
- 44:43Spider Verse shows you you can do better. You know, we've seen better.
- 44:46Black Pants are the first one great Iron Man classics. It's like it's
- 44:51not like these things haven't been done, and now it's just like none which
- 44:54did ship mediocre shit because it's Marvel or because of any superhero things. No
- 45:00Man, you could hire an action team and get some really ill action shots,
- 45:05you know what I mean. That's how the Matrix did it. The
- 45:07director, the Cowsis are not the greatest action directors in the world. They
- 45:12hired the best from Japan, right, I thought it was Hong Kong.
- 45:15But okay, I guess you're saying, okay, excuse me. Sorry,
- 45:19you probably write Hong Kong. They hired the best. It's like, that's
- 45:23what I mean. You stop cheaping out, you stop you know lessening ship,
- 45:28you do better, man, and this is just not doing enough.
- 45:31And I really gotta, you know, call them out because like you said,
- 45:35we wasted time. Washington wasted so much time. Ship out there.
- 45:39Man. I'm the other part that that annoys me is like this felt like
- 45:44a product as opposed to art. It looked nice, but it just felt
- 45:47like something you made because it's part of the machine. And we gotta get
- 45:52this. We gotta make this burger. Caitlin Richelle Art says, I just
- 45:55finished the finale. I don't know what the fuck I just watched though.
- 45:58Well they also said that a con edible hopeing we would seem better. Not
- 46:02even weed help. Oh, I'm always roasted. Like, trust me,
- 46:06it doesn't help. No, I hate the spaghetti. The spaghetti imagery like
- 46:09gives me. I don't but it looks creepy. It does. But after
- 46:17the fourth of the time, it's like, and I know, I'm telling
- 46:20you, when they switch the angle, when they switched angles, that's when
- 46:22I oh, y'all already pushing the limit, y'all. Y'all got expect me
- 46:25to laugh. Now, you know when they when they show him or when
- 46:29they show him run out, but they don't show you and it's just the
- 46:32sound effect. Of course, this is comedy. This is pure comedy.
- 46:37Shout out. It's Edge of Tomorrow. When Tom Cruise rolled underneath the truck,
- 46:43I fell out. My tomorrow was really well done. Like come to
- 46:45fact, it's super well done. And it's also hilarity. All those tops
- 46:50he dies over and over again. Well, it was actually funny to me.
- 46:52I I just didn't find these detsfin because I was just like, I
- 46:55know, you're not gonna have and watch this nigga die. The timing maybe
- 47:00not as much, but then he who remains because it was like they kept
- 47:04doing it over again. You know, it's like you know, it's like
- 47:07it's squelchedlch squelched, I say, And his was so funny and then he's
- 47:15like you you know, over again. I was. I wanted to say,
- 47:17shout out to the resident that writes byro don't watch Loki watch forraw nerds,
- 47:22talk about Lookie that shows Widy and the Tady and like you said,
- 47:30it looks so good and there's nothing happening. Are we we shoter sity or
- 47:37think ms miners ain't gonna kill us again? Like what the fuck? Who
- 47:42operates like this? You got old trap just chilling o B I verayed that
- 47:47way. He was like, I don't know, Nigga. I'm just like
- 47:51Obi is not the one, like he's just like Nigga. I don't know
- 47:53if it's gonna kill us. Moby is a villain fan Moby is this is
- 47:58abandoning the university's moral. He's up here again. What is he supposed to
- 48:04hear you? But also run the TVA? Why do you want to run
- 48:07the TV acause because you're the only one who has any sense and you know
- 48:14what you're supposed to be protecting and you care. I must have missed it,
- 48:17but I didn't realize that he used to be a hunter, not until
- 48:22he said that story. And maybe maybe it was telegraphed in the first season,
- 48:24but I think they said that in the first I don't remember. But
- 48:28when he said that, I was like, wait, wait, wait,
- 48:29damn, you used to really be Time twelve. But okay, no,
- 48:32yeah, you were a cop. All these niggas of cops and whatever,
- 48:37and you still cop, you know, like, don't get in twisted.
- 48:39All of them was cops. But that's what I'm saying, you at least,
- 48:43you know, attempting to be the good cop. Shout out to my
- 48:45brother Chris Rampson out there at tended to be a good cop, you know,
- 48:50and make the attempt. Damn, you know, because so where do
- 48:55we go from here? You go to Echo and what if? What If?
- 49:01And that's what you know, what to watch her off of What If?
- 49:06Season two? Now that'd be cool, but that's not gonna happen.
- 49:07But my thing is that's what's so also bizarre. It's like these jarring tonal
- 49:12ships because now you got all this ship and then Echo right or what at
- 49:15first? But or whatever? But I'm just like, and it's just you
- 49:20know, constantly forget about the Celestia on the ocean that should at least come
- 49:25up on Echo, like somebody should be reading the paper about it. You
- 49:28know. It's like, don't you think about my nigga Loki. That's all
- 49:30I gotta say. In my nas is out in the fucking sky sky Daddy.
- 49:35He ain't got nobody he holding it together? What what's Sylvie gonna do
- 49:42no one tears, you know, and Sylvie exists. Yeah, remember she
- 49:45left what's his name? At the end, she left Mobius. She walked
- 49:51off from Obius when he was like, I'm standing here and watch for a
- 49:52while, you know, and then she bounced all these unanswered questions. Where's
- 49:57Victor? Timely? That one is he put him back into his timeline.
- 50:00What happened did they? Yeah? What? Yeah, cause they had a
- 50:05Victor time that. You're there with them, you know at the end,
- 50:07when Loki goes on to be tried out, he's standing right there. So
- 50:12that Victor Tommey still exists. You cannot put that Victor Tomley back into his
- 50:16timeline. That man knows everything. He changes everything about that timeline immediately.
- 50:22If he goes back into it immediately, it's a whole different world. He
- 50:25runs the world from the you know whatever, eighteenth nineteenth century beginning, a
- 50:30man's back in Atlanta. He going scam, Yeah in the story immediately immediately,
- 50:35So it's not gonna happen. So he has to stay there with him
- 50:37and be part of the TVA, which means he's gonna be fighting his own
- 50:42variants. No, why would he want to do that? Why not drewing
- 50:45up with them? Like and he remains new about tomy. I'm not gonna
- 50:51hold you if I was a variant that people was like trying to like keep
- 50:54on the low, and I find out that I got wild other variants gangs
- 50:59of me that is fucking boss bitching up all over the universe. I'm I'm
- 51:04joining them in gang like gang so I did. Yeah, so we'd have
- 51:12to kill him. I mean they'd have to, you know, put that
- 51:15stick on him. He yo, Well, how do you feel about him?
- 51:19The fact that he just could not bring himself to kill Sylvie? What
- 51:23a sucker? I mean, you brought yourself to kill you know, like
- 51:30he couldn't kill himself essentially, you know she's She's just that Loki. But
- 51:35I don't so you're causing I just can't get over to the fact that he's
- 51:38like, Okay, I'll cause the cataclysmic war, you know. But killing
- 51:43Sylvie would have not caused the cataclysmic war because you would have kept he who
- 51:50remains intact, which for some reason he keeps, well, why does he
- 51:54but he keep? But he allowed her to kill him because you just saw
- 51:58he could have stopped her at any point. So, yeah, he could
- 52:01have stopped he killed. Yeah, so he wanted what happened eventually either way,
- 52:08which doesn't make sense with what he was saying. But okay, yeah,
- 52:12but okay. But see, that's that's the problem because what he said
- 52:15at the end of the first season is now contradicted by different writers and a
- 52:19whole different team of people who had their own ideas, and they didn't really
- 52:22seem to take into account what happened in the first season a lot of times,
- 52:27because, like you said, that really just contradicted what he said.
- 52:31And it wasn't like he's the god of lodge raids over her tell lives.
- 52:35He was telling them the truth. I don't know what's going to happen after
- 52:39this point, if you know, But in this it's like, no,
- 52:43he knew exactly what was going to happen. I feel like Leonardo DiCaprio in
- 52:46Inception, he's just sitting there like I just like he's just kind of sitting
- 52:52there like looking at him, like what do you mean? Like I just
- 52:55I I can't even explain it to anybody, Like if they ask me what
- 53:02happens, and that's what I just again, I have to ask to go
- 53:06forward question because it's like, so, what does this matter now? What's
- 53:08going to happen now? I said, like like I said at the beginning
- 53:12of the season, I just feel like nothing in this season is gonna matter,
- 53:15and what whoever writes Avengers Kane Dynasty can do whatever they want because nothing
- 53:22in this season is gonna matter or really be referenced that type, other than
- 53:25something like the Marvels where it's like one quick line, Oh yeah, you
- 53:30know, uh, Loki is holding shit together for us, moving on.
- 53:37All They did not start writing on King Dynasty yet. Oh I'm sure they
- 53:42already did. Yes, they're gonna they could rewrite anything, they could re
- 53:45write. I mean, that's one quick line Loki's holding together for us,
- 53:49but damn, these Knes are coming and that's all they need. And then
- 53:52moving on and it won't This whole season will be moved because you know,
- 53:58the Chats ain't showing up to fight k Like, these ain't the Avengers,
- 54:00you know what I mean. Be fifteen ain't joining any Avengers. You know,
- 54:04It's like, no, famn, nobody wants to see that. That's
- 54:06also why I'm like, what the fuck is I would have loved to see
- 54:08Sylvie be part of the new Avengers team, but it seems like they have
- 54:10other plans of nothing doing with her. You know, well, I guess
- 54:19that's it. Then I feel so empty. They did my Nigga Loki thirty.
- 54:27I'm just like, I wasted a bunch of fucking time. Y'all are
- 54:31not like y'all are. I'm like trying to defend, like everyone's saying,
- 54:36oh, the MCU down, bad da da la, and I'm just like,
- 54:37you know what, y'all not making this easy for me to leave it,
- 54:42And it really hurts because it's like the things that I depended on an
- 54:46MCU were the writers of Christopher Pheeley. I think it is, who wrote
- 54:52you know, pretty much Infinity War, you know, Winter Soldier, all
- 54:55that whole you know, run, you know, I think even the first
- 54:58Captain America, the first of ben for so they were killing it. And
- 55:01then James Dunn, who is killing it over there, and then of course
- 55:05you know we got uh his faces might have a director and writer of Coodler,
- 55:13you know, for Black Panther. So you got Koodler who's still there
- 55:16and everybody else's ghost and I haven't seen anyone on the writing side come in
- 55:22and write something where I'm like, okay, they can you know, handle
- 55:24this because some take it over. I mean it's also might be a problem
- 55:30with you know who. I don't want to say fade but but I mean,
- 55:37you know who knows right now it's how you haven't hired the people who
- 55:42can't do this because man, it hasn't been you know, it's been just
- 55:46mid like writing wise, I've not seen it since then. M I mean,
- 55:53yeah, James Dunn, you know, killed it with Guardians whoever did
- 55:58Spider Man. But that's not you know, that's right now, like that
- 56:00ain't which is wild to say that they got better right in over there right
- 56:04now to Marvel, but they really did. Now you know, it was
- 56:07a solid three series. You know, the Spider Man movies are really solid,
- 56:15cost the Spider Verse really smallowed you know, I know they worked in
- 56:19people like slaves, but you know that's Phil Lord over there. And you
- 56:22know, once again, not Marvel. Who in the chat has seen the
- 56:25Marvels. I saw I think I saw regimes that she just came back from
- 56:30watching the Marvels. I mean, you know another thing that don't matter,
- 56:36Yeah, you know right now, you know, while we're doing this special
- 56:39episode, Chad got any questions for us, you know, real quick,
- 56:44like since now you have an extra day to like sleep on it, and
- 56:47we already we've already done our like no spoiler review. Is there anything else
- 56:51you wanted to change or add on that you didn't get to say about the
- 56:54Marvels? No, you feel like you still feel the same. I feel
- 57:00like And I will say this because today we caught some YouTube comments from the
- 57:05you know, wackness of people talking about, oh, they were woke and
- 57:08they're going broke, you know, and all this other bullshit, you know,
- 57:13or people talk about they knew we'd hate it, when in fact you
- 57:15loved it. It was interesting. Someone said that, But I'm like,
- 57:17I don't think they watched the whole thing, because yeah, they said them
- 57:20a guess y'all gonna hate it, And I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 57:22I didn't watch it. But people always say that about me, that I
- 57:23hate everything, when in fact I'm more just you know, whatever, you're
- 57:27an idiot, shout out to you, not a genius over there, And
- 57:31no, I really don't. I don't think it was that good though,
- 57:36I really say it again and again that I like, I feel like,
- 57:38what's the name held that together boy? Because I liked it, but she
- 57:44was the main singing scene. Man, Jesus Dabs established garbage for me.
- 57:49And that's like, that's what I mean. This movie is only an hour
- 57:51and a half and that was a good ten minutes fifteen minutes of garbage,
- 57:53Like for what and there it is to be funny, Yeah, but you
- 57:59didn't need it, you know, you didn't need it. I needed some
- 58:01heart and some emotion. I don't need dumb jokes. And that's too much
- 58:06of what the MCU is relying on dumb jokes and needle drops instead of character
- 58:08in emotion, like and people talk about you know, there was the you
- 58:15know, Monica and Carol, and I just really did not feel that like
- 58:17that where I was like, oh yeah, they came together. It was
- 58:20more like, you know, it was come together. It wasn't real.
- 58:25It was very sad, but I feel, you know, I like,
- 58:29because I mean there's been like twelve Fast and Furious, so you know,
- 58:32I feel these characters, even with their ridiculousness, I did not feel that,
- 58:37you know, of them coming together. It was just like okay,
- 58:39yeah, they came back together because the strips said they did. You know,
- 58:43I didn't feel like there was a real resolution between those characters. It
- 58:46was just like, okay, they came together just they you know, we
- 58:50said before, we just we don't. We do not have enough time with
- 58:52with Monica. We did not have enough time with Monica. They don't.
- 58:57There's not enough time for Mona to even go into her feelings about all that
- 59:00other stuff. Is just like, well, now we need you to just
- 59:01be friends and keep it pushing so we can have some more fight scenes together.
- 59:06Like yeah, and these fight scenes were just mid to me and I'll
- 59:09say that again, and I like that scene, so that's all life is
- 59:13a thing. But it's like did I am? I do? I want
- 59:15to see it again and be like amazed. No, was there a moment
- 59:19like a Winter soldier when Winter Soldiers flipping that goddamn knife And I can watch
- 59:23that shit over and over again, a two second try to flipping a knife.
- 59:27It's not even under smable, but it's so incredible because it's just it's
- 59:30the time you took to learn to do that and just to really you know,
- 59:35care about this and really put effort into it and I don't feel like
- 59:38that was done here. I feel like it was just like, Okay,
- 59:42you know these we got some cool little power flips. There was that one
- 59:45shot with the hammer, and I liked that, but overall it was no
- 59:47that that was you know, Mid, and you could have hired stunt team,
- 59:51hired somebody better. If you're not the director for that, then you
- 59:53know, get someone who can Mid. But what about Loki? Same like,
- 1:00:05I can't believe they left me. It's so many unanswered, like not
- 1:00:09even unanswered, Like it's questions that I feel like they didn't have the answer
- 1:00:14yeah, Like they didn't have the answers for yeah. And it ain't even
- 1:00:21like it's not like, you know, we're leaving these open for the next
- 1:00:24team. It's like, oh will we don't know how to fix this mess.
- 1:00:30We put ourselves yes, and no one is trying to really go back
- 1:00:32to these people any way, so fuck it, you know. That's what
- 1:00:36it felt like. It felt like, And it wasn't on the level of
- 1:00:39thor Love and Thunder where I felt like it was actively insulting my intelligence,
- 1:00:44right, But it was more like, well, there's to be something else
- 1:00:49in five weeks, and you're not gonna be able to think about this.
- 1:00:52And that's how I really felt it was. It was more like don't look
- 1:00:55too closely or and I swear it might be like The Moonlight had where they
- 1:01:00might come out at it over this and be like you need to watch this
- 1:01:02twice to really understand it, and I'm gonna be like, no, you
- 1:01:05don't, no, no, And I actually I get appalled when people say
- 1:01:08shit like that, like oh, you just didn't get it. I'm like,
- 1:01:12fam, a good story does not mean I need to fucking watch that
- 1:01:15ship five twelve times too. That's not a good story. You should want
- 1:01:20to watch it. It was like when I don't want to write. Yeah.
- 1:01:22Like the first time I ever saw The Usual Suspects, I finished it.
- 1:01:27I sat there and I was like, oh, rewind that shit,
- 1:01:29you know, I mean literally like that or even something. Let's talk about
- 1:01:32something not even you know, mystery. The first time I ever saw Goodwill
- 1:01:37Honey, I watched it one night on DVD witnessleep. Woke up the next
- 1:01:42morning was like, fuck that, you know, play that shit again,
- 1:01:45you know the first time I ever saw Unforgiving about Clint Eastwood, I went
- 1:01:49and saw it in the theater called my boys up the next day, like,
- 1:01:52Yo, come on, we're going to see this shit again? Yeah,
- 1:01:54just now across the Spider verse. I saw it twice in twelve hours.
- 1:01:58I was not disappointed either time. I was so happy that I was
- 1:02:01getting to see that ship again twelve hours later, you know, I mean,
- 1:02:06I was so hyped that, yes, I'm gonna get to see this
- 1:02:07brilliant piece of work right here twelve hours later. I don't ever want to
- 1:02:13see this season of low Ki again. It ain't that fam pie. Yeah,
- 1:02:20Oh my god, fucking waste my fucking time. Jesus Christ, sorry,
- 1:02:24Ben. Yeah, disrespect is real out here. I think we said
- 1:02:29everything. We say everything like I don't want to you know, I'm also
- 1:02:36tempering. I'm trying to temper, but god, damn it, y'all making
- 1:02:37I mean, look, we said the good deeds. It looks beautiful.
- 1:02:40Tom Owen is still fucking entertaining, mostly because of them. I was talking
- 1:02:46to one of my best friends last night, the Business onener the show shout
- 1:02:50outs with my brother Zev. You know that's my brother, shout out to
- 1:02:52you, love you, Bron, love you fam And he said, we
- 1:02:54both agreed if they weren't in it. It's a hot mess, Like it's
- 1:02:59a hot but there's no draw to it. Without that, there's no draw
- 1:03:01because it had no story, no characters at pat yourself to and I said
- 1:03:06me, if you had great characters, it wouldn't matter who's acting them out.
- 1:03:08It helps that these brilliant actors are doing it. But if you have
- 1:03:12great characters, you can take an unknown after and there if something could become
- 1:03:15one of your favorite actors, because you're gonna be like, yo, that
- 1:03:17they played that role, you know what I mean? Fucking care. I'm
- 1:03:21watching Pay Them Full the other night, and I still hate Cameron to this
- 1:03:24day, you know, because of that motherfucker, because he played this shit
- 1:03:28out of you know, that strum bag. So you know you have a
- 1:03:31great character, A semi actor like Cameron didn't kill it because he knew,
- 1:03:37Yo, this is a role right here. I gotta eat this shit.
- 1:03:38You know, it's fuck an amazing role. Yeah, I agreed with the
- 1:03:43chat Caitlin. Season two can be pruned. I just respectful my time can't
- 1:03:49agree. I'm so sorry, Loki man, I'm sorry, so like yeah,
- 1:03:52yeah, like it's funny because you know we had a whole view from
- 1:03:54the six one six. We dedicated a lot of time to Marvel and it
- 1:04:00started to feel like, yo, fuck y'all know, I mean no disrespect,
- 1:04:02but all disrespect, like y'all really have wasted a lot of my time
- 1:04:09and Jesus fam like, well, see you guys next week on another episode
- 1:04:16up for all nights. I mean, we got Echo coming up, you
- 1:04:19know, and I ain't gonna watch it. I'm hyper what if I can't
- 1:04:21lie if? Yeah, what if? Season was pretty entertaining me, so
- 1:04:27I'm hype for that. And I know they've already said, oh, with
- 1:04:30the Echo, you don't need to watch everything else. But it's not about
- 1:04:31that. I already watch everything else. I just want you to tell me
- 1:04:35a good story while I'm watching this one. That's simple. You can't keep
- 1:04:41getting away with this, all right, y'all. Yo. As you see,
- 1:04:46we are alive right now on twitch i tv slash for all nerds.
- 1:04:49I mean, this has been years in the making, but we finally have
- 1:04:53the technology. We've got everything together. Everything is smooth, as you see.
- 1:04:58We just did this trip for straight hour. We live. It's beautiful,
- 1:05:01everything shiny. You can hear us. You can see us clear as
- 1:05:05day. So there will be much more live shows from for our nerds,
- 1:05:10trust and believe. We're trying to figure out ways to do these live shows.
- 1:05:13Like what can we you know, sit here together and perhaps watch,
- 1:05:15you know, and then you know, we could comment on it together as
- 1:05:18we watch it. You know, we're trying to figure out a lot of
- 1:05:21different ways to do this to bring you all this We don't say bonding over
- 1:05:26anymore, you know, bring these different podcasts, bring these different shows,
- 1:05:29bring these different flavor to your ears and eyes out there, so you know,
- 1:05:34let us know, you know, what else we could do. I'm
- 1:05:38not even sure how we could do a watch. I guess if we played
- 1:05:40it on the zoom, we could both see it, what you mean over
- 1:05:43zoom over like like right now, Like if I played something in zoom,
- 1:05:46we could both see it in our zoom and then that way they would see
- 1:05:53it. Yeah, and we get shut down immediately. Yeah, but no,
- 1:05:57there's certain things like YouTube, things of that nature. We could watch
- 1:05:59things on YouTube, you know, it's like that. That's how we could
- 1:06:01get away with it. Yeah, worth watching on YouTube. But we'll figure
- 1:06:05it out. I mean, yo, this is yo shit man, one
- 1:06:08night on Twitch since years ago during the pandemic, somebody recommended to me and
- 1:06:12we watched Shout Out to Quiet Stormburne Comember. They were up in there that
- 1:06:15night, and we watched this wild ass vampire movie. It's some black vampire
- 1:06:19movie. It's allegedly a classic. It is one of the weirdest, wildest
- 1:06:23shit I've ever seen. But it had nudity all kind of shit going on
- 1:06:26in this movie. I mean, full frontal on YouTube, no problem.
- 1:06:30By the way, everyone was mentioning discord as a as a platform to do
- 1:06:33that watch with everybody. We have a discord. We haven't used it,
- 1:06:38no, but we have it. We've been at it, So I don't
- 1:06:42know how that would work either. I don't even know how that words like
- 1:06:44when we put on Twitch in the discord, like y'all asking a lot fan.
- 1:06:47We are just figuring out Twitch over here, like you know what I
- 1:06:49mean. I don't know. We'll figure that out. But like I said,
- 1:06:54we will be doing more live shows one way or the other. We'll
- 1:06:56definitely be doing our regular you know, live show live. So we'll be
- 1:07:00doing a lot of things out here, and I'm definitely DJ more on there
- 1:07:03I'm not gaming man. I finished Spider Man. Oh yeah, we just
- 1:07:05talked about that real quick. I finished Spider Man at school. It's I
- 1:07:10mean, it's still one of the greatest games ever made, you know,
- 1:07:13series. I just thought this story did not live up, excuse me,
- 1:07:16to the stories of Miles and the first one. But it was a lot
- 1:07:21of twists and turns. It's still I mean, look, I'm gonna be
- 1:07:24playing the rest of it for you know, there's still mad missions I gotta
- 1:07:28do. People are talking about how some of the side missions will hit you
- 1:07:30in the heart. There was this one mission where you gotta find his granddad
- 1:07:32in the park and it's you know, a little thing, and it it
- 1:07:38hurt me. I can't lie that that got me, you know what I
- 1:07:40mean. So there's probably still some more little and it's a little, you
- 1:07:43know, ten minute side mission that really got me that, you know.
- 1:07:46It tells stories like immediately I latched onto these two characters. It's his granddaughter
- 1:07:50trying to find her granddad. She can't find them. When you find out
- 1:07:54why he's missing, it would fucking break your heart, you know what I
- 1:07:58mean. So you find them and everything all right, but when you find
- 1:08:00out why he was, you know, lost in the park. It's like,
- 1:08:03oh damn it, y'all. Yeah, so they do. It does
- 1:08:08have its moments, and I've heard that some of these other side missions that
- 1:08:11are a bit longer, I've eve gotten to it just good. So you
- 1:08:14know, it's still one of the greatest games ever made. You know,
- 1:08:15swinging through Manhattan, Berkelon and Queans will never get born. I'm amazing,
- 1:08:20y'all. Jesus oh man. Oh yeah. See, somebody's talk about the
- 1:08:25Pigeon. I haven't done that one yet, but people being I know,
- 1:08:29people been talking about Howard's Pigeons. I got it on the list. I
- 1:08:31might do that tonight. People been talking about that joint, so I know.
- 1:08:34All right. But yeah, so we'll be doing a lot more.
- 1:08:36I'm not gonna be gaming on there though, because it's just too much investment
- 1:08:41and I can't do it. I'm not gonna lie, y'all. Just time
- 1:08:44commitment, especially on Twitch for you got to sit there and I don't.
- 1:08:46I don't game that long, man, And when I do game, I
- 1:08:49just want to enjoy myself and not you know, be on. So but
- 1:08:53I will DJ more. We will be doing more live shows. So twitch
- 1:08:57our tv slash for all nerds, Twitch our tv dj Ben, I mean,

- 1:10:04quarter. I had to put it down for hours, Like I didn't come
- 1:10:08back to it for hours because I was so like, like Tom May and
- 1:10:13Dre did the art, and I don't have the colorist's name right now,
- 1:10:15but I'm gonna start blowing him up on everything so y'all will know and everyone
- 1:10:19will know, and it's just it's sick, man. It's just like to
- 1:10:26see what me and Mellow wrote translating into the medium is so crazy to me.
- 1:10:30And it's like there's little details I see. The colorists brought out so
- 1:10:33much shit that I never even saw in Time's Art before you know the colors
- 1:10:39are applied, and man, I just can't wait for you to read this.
- 1:10:43I'm really really super proud of what we did, Like I really believe

- 1:11:26this fucking book, which means the world to me. So you know,

- 1:11:45and then I don't know what I'll do when I finally get one in my
- 1:11:48hands, Like when I have that hard cover my hands, I might fucking
- 1:11:51ship myself, y'all, like Lord of Mercy. So yeah, please preorder,
