- 2:59But we pray for the strength of the ekklesi of the called out
- 3:02ones. We love you, King Jesus, send
- 3:05your holy and precious name that I pray.
- 3:07Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 3:14After these things, the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a
- 3:17vision, saying, fear not Abram, I am your shield and your
- 3:21exceedingly great reward. What did he have to be afraid
- 3:25of? Well, it could be that he just
- 3:27kicked the tail of the victors there, old Chad Lammer and all
- 3:33of his Confederate armies. And you could see here that
- 3:37there could have been some retaliation and he was fearful.
- 3:40But what did God say? He came in.
- 3:42Anytime we're fearful, we can be consoled by a loving, all
- 3:46powerful God who can instill fear into the hearts of men
- 3:52where they do not retaliate. Praise God, I've seen it with my
- 3:55own eyes too. And Abram said, Lord God, what
- 3:59will you give me, seeing that I go childless and the steward of
- 4:03my house is Eliezer of Damascus. So here real recognizes real.
- 4:09And you see that Abram is like, thanks God for protecting me,
- 4:13but what does it even matter in the end?
- 4:16I'm going to die childless and you promised me a child.
- 4:19And now if I do die, it's going to be Eliezer that takes over my
- 4:23state. 3 And Abram said, Behold to me, you have given me no
- 4:29seed. And lo, one born in my house is
- 4:32my heir. O Eliezer somehow has become the
- 4:36heir. For And behold, the word of the
- 4:39Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be your heir, but he
- 4:45that shall come forth out of your own bowel shall be your
- 4:48heir. So God is promising him again
- 4:51that he's going to give him a child five.
- 4:55And he brought him forth abroad and said, look now towards
- 4:58heaven and tell the stars if you are able to number them.
- 5:03And he said to him, so shall your seed be.
- 5:06He said, look up to the sky and count the stars and see if you
- 5:10can number them. And of course he could not.
- 5:13But God knows them all by name. And he says that he's going to
- 5:17have more descendants than there are stars in the sky.
- 5:22And that is you, friend, and that is me, and that is the
- 5:25Jews, and that is the Gentiles who come in to the fold. 6 And
- 5:35he believed in the Lord, and he counted it to him for
- 5:38righteousness. It was accredited to him, his
- 5:42righteousness, because he believed the Lord.
- 5:44And what he said, he took him at his word.
- 5:47He did not doubt it. He did not try to ask for any
- 5:51kind of sign. He just says OK.
- 5:54And then God put it in his account that he was righteous
- 5:58because of his belief. And it's no different for you
- 6:01and for me. We believe upon the Lord Jesus
- 6:04Christ is our salvation, and then He credits us the Holy
- 6:11Spirit. He credits us the name written
- 6:14in the book of life. He credits to us eternity,
- 6:17friends, because we take Him at His Word.
- 6:20We believe Him on faith. It is faith, friends.
- 6:25It is grace through faith that saves us.
- 6:29And that's what's happening here for Abraham. 7 And he said to
- 6:37him, I am the Lord that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees to
- 6:41give you this land, to inherit it.
- 6:43So he takes them, and he says, look around, look up, look all
- 6:47around, I'm going to give it all to you and your descendants. 8
- 6:53And he said, Lord God, whereby shall I know that I shall
- 6:57inherit it? So here he does ask for a sign.
- 7:00He says, How will I know? 9 And he said to him, take a
- 7:05heifer 3 years old, a female goat three years old, a ram 3
- 7:11years old, a turtle dove and a young pigeon.
- 7:13So here Abraham would have known what this was about.
- 7:17This was in our day, in our hour.
- 7:20What we would do is we'd go down to the bank and we'd get a title
- 7:23deed and you'd have it notarized.
- 7:26And that's what's about to happen.
- 7:28God is saying, listen, we'll make a covenant.
- 7:30We'll cut a covenant together, you and I Let's see how it goes.
- 7:3710 And he took to him all these, and he divided them in the
- 7:40midst, and he laid each piece one against the other, But the
- 7:44birds he did not divide. So here he would have cut the
- 7:48goat, the ram and the bull in half and laid the pieces on one
- 7:53side and laid the other pieces on the other side, and the two
- 7:57would pass through the middle. In this bloody mess.
- 8:01They would pass through the middle.
- 8:03And what it would signify is that if you did not hold up to
- 8:07the your end of the bargain, what happened to these will
- 8:11happen to you. This was serious business,
- 8:16friends, and Abram understood what God was after.
- 8:20So he did what he asked, and then he waited for him.
- 8:24And when the birds came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove
- 8:28them away. What does this signify, friends?
- 8:33He has been waiting so long that now these birds are trying to
- 8:37come down and mess with this sacrifice, and it seems as if
- 8:41God is late. 12 And when the sun had gone down, a deep sleep fell
- 8:48upon Abram, and lo, a horror of great darkness fell upon him.
- 8:57So this is so serious, friends, that God has put him into this
- 9:02trance, and he's seeing this horror that is going to happen
- 9:07upon his descendants. Be careful what you ask for,
- 9:11friends. 13 And he said to Abram, Know of a surety that
- 9:19your seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and
- 9:23shall serve them, and they shall afflict them 400 years.
- 9:28So here Abram's seed is going to prosper and become a great
- 9:34nation, and then in a famine we're going to see it later.
- 9:37But in a famine there drove down to Egypt and into slavery for
- 9:41400 years. And that is what is referenced
- 9:45by God to Abram before he even had his own child, much less a
- 9:50nation. 14 And also that nation whom they shall serve I will
- 9:57judge, and afterward they shall come out with great substance.
- 10:01So you can see here that God prophetically tells Abram that
- 10:06his seed will become a great nation and be driven down into
- 10:10Egypt. But when they come out, they
- 10:12will have many wealth, much wealth, and many goods with
- 10:16them. 15 And you shall go to your father's in peace, and you
- 10:23shall be buried in a good old age.
- 10:26What an amazing thought. Abram has the promise that he
- 10:29will not die prematurely. 16 But in the 4th generation they shall
- 10:36come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not
- 10:40yet full. You could see how long-suffering
- 10:43God is, and he gives us plenty of space to repent and to turn
- 10:48towards him and to let go of all of our disgusting practices.
- 10:52But by and large, we self destruct and God saying that the
- 10:59Amorite's time to be judged has not yet come.
- 11:03And what you need to know is that inept leadership is the
- 11:08first sign of judgment upon a land.
- 11:11And it's given people the time and the space to repent, to turn
- 11:16it around into put godly leaders into positions, and to stop
- 11:23listening to false prophets and false teachers and actually get
- 11:27in tune with what the word of God says.
- 11:30And that is what we need desperately in this time, in
- 11:33this hour. 17 And it came to pass that when the sun went
- 11:39down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace and a burning
- 11:45lamp that passed between those pieces.
- 11:49This is the fire by day, in the pillar of cloud by night.
- 11:53This is the Shekinah glory of God coming and manifesting
- 11:58between the pieces of the animals, and he passes through
- 12:01them with fire and smoke. And God, when he could find no
- 12:10greater to swear by, he swore by himself, and he actually went
- 12:17through it by himself. And he did not even ask Abram to
- 12:20pass through it or to make any kind of agreement, because he
- 12:25knew that sinful man could never live up to their end of the
- 12:29bargain. So He sent Jesus Christ, His
- 12:33only begotten, to save us from ourselves, save us from a sin
- 12:39debt that was piled so high that we could never pay back.
- 12:43And this is the good news and the grace of the Lord Jesus
- 12:47Christ upon us. And there is nothing that we
- 12:50could do to earn it. And it was everything that He
- 12:52did for us on that cross. And you can see it here.
- 12:57It is modeled by God Almighty El Elyon, passing through this
- 13:05title deed, passing through this covenant.
- 13:08He cut the covenant and he swore by his own self that he will
- 13:14make good on his end of the bargain, and didn't even ask
- 13:17Abram to pass through. 18 In the same day the Lord made a
- 13:24covenant with Abram, saying, unto your seed, I have given
- 13:27this land from the river of Egypt to the great river, the
- 13:32river Euphrates. So here you can see that this is
- 13:36still in effect today. Friends, this is the title deed,
- 13:41this is the will, this is the land markers and the boundaries
- 13:47for the nation Israel. And what a sad state that we are
- 13:54in whenever we believe that this is not their rightful land that
- 14:02God has given to him. And God will make sure that they
- 14:07are able to live in the land that he allotted to them.
- 14:11And the satanic revolt and the satanic practices of trying to
- 14:16believe that God is not real and that the Jews are second rate or
- 14:22that they don't deserve to be in that land or to actually inhabit
- 14:27it. That is so incredibly wrong from
- 14:33a biblical sense. In a biblical point of view.
- 14:37You can see the boundaries here, friends, that rightfully belong
- 14:41to them. And we're not the ones who came
- 14:44up with it. It was God Almighty and he is
- 14:46the one that you'll have to take it up with if you have an issue.
- 14:50And you can still see today miracles breaking out in the
- 14:55mighty name of Jesus Christ, miracles breaking out.
- 14:59And you can see the preservation of that ethnic group, the Jews,
- 15:05God's chosen people. What an amazing thought,
- 15:07friends. 19 The Kenites and the Kennesites and the Cadmanites
- 15:13and the Hittites and the Parasites and the Raphaeans will
- 15:16end on 21 and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the
- 15:20Girgashites and the Jebusites. So you can see here that God is
- 15:26going to move out all of these nations to make room for the
- 15:31nation Israel. And during Solomon's time and
- 15:37shortly after, these landmarkers and boundaries were in effect.
- 15:43And what a sad state we're in today, friends, whenever we have
- 15:48mainstream politics and we have mainstream media that do not
- 15:54understand what is biblically accurate and what does the word
- 15:59of God tell us about the boundaries for the nation
- 16:03Israel. And that's why we're in such a
- 16:06mess today is because we're fighting against a holy God who
- 16:12will make good on this covenant with Abram and with his
- 16:16descendants. And that is a period.
- 16:18And that is a fact. There's nothing that we can do
- 16:24to argue against it. You will be fighting against a
- 16:27holy and righteous and powerful God.
- 16:30And that is no place that any human being or any nation or any
- 16:34government or any people group on planet earth ever wants to be
- 16:39in. I sure hope you've been blessed
- 16:42by this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 16:45I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 16:47of you. I love you.
- 16:50We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 16:51God bless you.
