- 1:40Speaker 1: and let's start by hearing a synopsis for Hats Off
- 1:43Speaker 1: to Love.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Stella designs hats and fascinators for socialite Rosalind and meets
- 1:48Speaker 2: her son Christian, who's training a horse to compete in
- 1:51Speaker 2: the Louisville Derby.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Hats Off to Love was directed by Amy Barrett, marking
- 1:56Speaker 1: her first project for Hallmark Channel. Well, this is our
- 1:59Speaker 1: seventeenth director o real credit. Amy is better known for
- 2:01Speaker 1: her works on grittier titles like Couples Retreat, Murder, A
- 2:04Speaker 1: Model Murder and Home Not Alone. That's a great title.
- 2:11Speaker 1: The writers of this script are Lengthy Guys Brucet, Johnson,
- 2:16Speaker 1: Uma and Croachy, Austin Highsmith and director Amy Barrett. Jenna
- 2:22Speaker 1: Claire Mason stars as Stella and Hats Off to Love.
- 2:25Speaker 1: She first made her Hallmark debut in twenty twenty twos
- 2:28Speaker 1: a Holiday Spectacular, and has quickly become a familiar face,
- 2:32Speaker 1: with starring roles in a Heidelberg Holiday and a Carol
- 2:35Speaker 1: for Two upnext, Shelley the highly anticipated twenty twenty five
- 2:40Speaker 1: holiday movie, A Newport Christmas.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Holly Robinson Pete stars as rosalind rosalind Am I saying
- 2:47Speaker 2: that correctly, yes you are It's right right. Hallmark fans
- 2:51Speaker 2: will recognize her from twenty twenty two's Holiday Heritage, her
- 2:55Speaker 2: last appearance on the network until this movie with fifty
- 2:59Speaker 2: five acting It's to her name or thrill to see
- 3:02Speaker 2: her back on Hallmark.
- 3:03Speaker 1: John Clarence Stuart co stars as Christian. You might recognize
- 3:06Speaker 1: John Clarence as Simon from his twenty five episodes of
- 3:10Speaker 1: Zoe's Extraordinary Playlist as well as a half dozen episodes
- 3:13Speaker 1: of Pee Valley. This is his first appearance on Hallmark.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Thank you for reminding me that he is Simon from
- 3:21Speaker 1: a show that I just loved from Zoe's Right, because
- 3:25Speaker 1: not Pee Valley. Pee Valley is Zoe's is a is
- 3:28Speaker 1: a show I very much adored, and Pee Valley is
- 3:31Speaker 1: pretty gritty. Fire recall, fire, recall.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Rina Strober plays Hannah. She has fifty seven acting credits
- 3:40Speaker 2: and her resume filled with voice work and appearances on
- 3:42Speaker 2: shows like Veep Hacks, Nicky, Ricky Dickey, and don do
- 3:46Speaker 2: you remember that show from Nickelodeon.
- 3:47Speaker 1: He don't.
- 3:49Speaker 2: That was one of my daughter's favorites. And when I
- 3:50Speaker 2: was writing these notes, I was.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Like, hey, do you remember Nicky, Ricky Dickey and Dona.
- 3:54Speaker 1: She's like, yes, why are you talking about it? Darla
- 3:58Speaker 1: Delgado plays O. Darla has fifty one acting credits, with
- 4:01Speaker 1: recent roles in Cobra Kai, Sweet Magnolia's and The Resident.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Let's take O quick break and we'll come right back
- 4:09Speaker 1: with first impressions. Hey, Wendy, what was your first impression
- 4:21Speaker 1: of hats off to love?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Some of Stella's hats look like a very particular pine
- 4:28Speaker 2: cone feather turkey my daughter made in first grade.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Do you know the project I'm talking about? Of course?
- 4:38Speaker 1: My first impression is what does it say about me
- 4:40Speaker 1: that the actual horse racing scene was the emotional pannicle
- 4:43Speaker 1: of this movie? And I hate horse racing. I cried
- 4:48Speaker 1: when the horse won. Yes, I have very complicated feelings.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Did you just turn me down? Because I turned as down?
- 5:01Speaker 1: I didn't turned us both down. I have very complicated
- 5:04Speaker 1: feelings about horse racing. It was like a thing. I
- 5:10Speaker 1: just feel weird about it, but I did.
- 5:11Speaker 2: There is something about like rooting for your horse and
- 5:17Speaker 2: and it wins.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's so willing. Yeah, yeah, that's great. Yeah, hey, let's
- 5:22Speaker 1: talk about what we liked about Hats Off to Love. Okay,
- 5:25Speaker 1: can I start? Yeah, when this movie first start started,
- 5:29Speaker 1: I was like, sweet, it's gonna be a movie built
- 5:31Speaker 1: around this storyline of like this hat competition. Yeah, even
- 5:35Speaker 1: the title says it. I mean, and the hat is
- 5:38Speaker 1: the throat line of this movie. Sure, but I thought
- 5:40Speaker 1: it was gonna be like we were gonna get sort
- 5:43Speaker 1: of like that party planning type movie where there we
- 5:50Speaker 1: could see a lot of it happening. Do you know
- 5:53Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Like a montage type sort of thing, task driven energy
- 6:00Speaker 2: I like in movie you do you know.
- 6:01Speaker 1: That this is the likes section of the movie of
- 6:04Speaker 1: the podcast. Oh well, then I liked that we had
- 6:08Speaker 1: well you're right, okay. I like that we did have
- 6:10Speaker 1: a storyline that was kind of built around it, but
- 6:12Speaker 1: it was too light for me. Yeah, yeah, but I
- 6:15Speaker 1: liked I thought I liked where it was going. Okay, Okay, Well,
- 6:20Speaker 1: in a similar vein, I did like the setting of
- 6:22Speaker 1: the fake Kentucky Derby, the Lexington Derby, and I think
- 6:25Speaker 1: the timing of the movie airing on the actual weekend
- 6:28Speaker 1: of the derby was well planned. However, hold on for
- 6:31Speaker 1: some notes about the derby itself.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Well, I would like to this is kind of a
- 6:37Speaker 2: lower like for mine. But aesthetically I thought the sets
- 6:40Speaker 2: and most of the locations were super beautiful.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Yeah, visually I thought it delivered that way. I will
- 6:48Speaker 1: be talking about the costumes in the wishes. Well. One
- 6:52Speaker 1: through line of this movie is Stella as a fish
- 6:55Speaker 1: out of water, doesn't really understand Kentucky high society. And
- 6:59Speaker 1: right at the moment where I was starting to feel
- 7:01Speaker 1: very frustrated with this, like, Okay, we get it. Stella's
- 7:06Speaker 1: a bumpkin from Florida, Tampa, see Tampa. Did you see
- 7:13Speaker 1: her shirt that said Tampa? I didn't. Oh my gosh.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And the way that I'm doing this right now is
- 7:18Speaker 2: because I know you've seen those TikTok videos where the
- 7:20Speaker 2: kids tell where they're.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Going to go to school, their college decisions. It makes
- 7:23Speaker 1: me so uncomfortable the way they do it, and some
- 7:25Speaker 1: of the girls are they're so boob forward when they
- 7:27Speaker 1: do it, They're like, it's a very caressing motion and
- 7:30Speaker 1: if you don't know what we're talking about, and a
- 7:33Speaker 1: lot of them are accompanied by like someone being like
- 7:36Speaker 1: University of Southern California. Have you seen those? No, they'll
- 7:41Speaker 1: have like a guy like announcing their college.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Oh no, I haven't seen that, but yes, go ahead,
- 7:47Speaker 2: sella from Tampa.
- 7:49Speaker 1: So right when I was starting to feel very frustrated
- 7:52Speaker 1: by this behoume, our sweet little old ladies who are
- 7:54Speaker 1: like I haven't had a rubon years, and then they
- 7:56Speaker 1: have their ribs and I thought, look, Stella has moved
- 8:00Speaker 1: n from an outsider and now she's an influencer. Oh influencer,
- 8:03Speaker 1: she's you know, they're starting to realize like there's more
- 8:06Speaker 1: than one right way to do things.
- 8:08Speaker 2: No, was a little was that scene, Like were those
- 8:10Speaker 2: ladies like, we're too prim proper, we don't eat food
- 8:14Speaker 2: with our well, I think the feeling was like they
- 8:17Speaker 2: had been taught like, well, we can't eat ribs because
- 8:20Speaker 2: they're messy, so they hadn't eaten ribs because it wouldn't
- 8:23Speaker 2: be a good look, and then they realized like all
- 8:25Speaker 2: the fun.
- 8:26Speaker 1: They had been missing out on their in their lives.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I did like that scene, but I did think it
- 8:33Speaker 2: was weird. But okay, speaking of Stella, she had this
- 8:38Speaker 2: quirky likability. Yeah, that I enjoyed about her. I enjoyed
- 8:43Speaker 2: her performances. I really loved when she's sang.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Yeah love any excuse for Gina clare Mason to saying totally.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I do think hot take coming in the script in
- 8:54Speaker 2: the story is at the bottom of her other Homewark projects.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Sure like You're never gonna be make me hate Geena
- 9:01Speaker 1: clare Mason. But yeah, this wasn't my favorite project of hers.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Kind of curious why she selected it considering some of
- 9:12Speaker 2: her other projects are.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Did I say products?
- 9:16Speaker 2: Considering considering her other projects are higher level quality?
- 9:24Speaker 1: That's my thought. Everybody's got to make a book, I guess.
- 9:27Speaker 2: And you know this light this year is pretty light
- 9:29Speaker 2: for Hallmark, so I guess if something comes.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Your way, you may take it. Yeah. In a season
- 9:35Speaker 1: where we're just seeing so many Hallmark Plus reairs and look,
- 9:40Speaker 1: we do see some character growth and some of our
- 9:42Speaker 1: female characters. Odette grows to appreciate Stella, She grows to
- 9:48Speaker 1: almost mentor her in a way. Stella does learn the
- 9:51Speaker 1: ways of Lexington High Society. Hannah takes entirely too long
- 9:56Speaker 1: to get there, but in the eleventh hour she does
- 9:59Speaker 1: finally realize the error of her ways I appreciate. I
- 10:02Speaker 1: appreciate some character growth. I agree.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I have thoughts on Hannah and my wishes. Let's talk
- 10:09Speaker 2: Holly Robinson Pete to form. Okay, she is quite enjoyable. Yeah,
- 10:14Speaker 2: this was a great rule for her.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I thought.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I thought, like that southern charm, her warm presence.
- 10:21Speaker 1: You know, she was.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Hard as a boss, I guess, or a client. But
- 10:30Speaker 2: I in the end I thought she was lovely. And
- 10:34Speaker 2: I have some more thoughts about her and my wishes
- 10:36Speaker 2: as well her character.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Okay, okay, my final like, is I love a Southern
- 10:41Speaker 1: fu in the form of a bless your heart? Yes?
- 10:43Speaker 1: I do too.
- 10:45Speaker 2: I laughed at all of that in the beginning it
- 10:48Speaker 2: started to like run a little too long for me.
- 10:50Speaker 1: But yeah, because it's not new to us, is it
- 10:54Speaker 1: new to Stella? We don't live in the South. Yeah,
- 10:58Speaker 1: this is a good point. We're on the opposite end
- 11:01Speaker 1: of where Stella is. So is she just so pure
- 11:05Speaker 1: that she just assumes the best in people? Is that
- 11:07Speaker 1: what we're supposed to believe about her? Maybe?
- 11:10Speaker 2: Maybe I'll tell you I went to Tennessee.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Is that considered the South? I don't know. Okay, we
- 11:16Speaker 1: went to Tennessee, because my sister graduated from high school
- 11:19Speaker 1: and we had my stepmom's mom there, who's an older woman,
- 11:24Speaker 1: and she says stuff like bless your heart, but genuinely
- 11:28Speaker 1: like she doesn't know what it means. And when we
- 11:31Speaker 1: were in the South, she said it and this girl
- 11:34Speaker 1: we were in a restaurant and the girl was like,
- 11:35Speaker 1: let me stop you. She's like, I don't think you
- 11:39Speaker 1: know what that means here, So she is a super insult.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Don't say it. Yeah, that's funny. Yeah, well let's talk
- 11:46Speaker 1: wishes all right. First of all, there is absolutely no
- 11:50Speaker 1: chemistry between Stella and Christian zero Zoro. Okay, I liked Christian,
- 11:58Speaker 1: I like the actor that plays Chris j. I was
- 12:01Speaker 1: very happy that we got kind of a new actor
- 12:05Speaker 1: on our screens. But I didn't I was not feeling
- 12:09Speaker 1: it between these two. Yeah, like at all. Yeah. You
- 12:12Speaker 1: know why I didn't bump on that because there's seven
- 12:15Speaker 1: thousand other things happening in this movie. Okay, there's it's
- 12:19Speaker 1: too much by my ac count. We have Stella's fish
- 12:22Speaker 1: out of water experience, we have her trying to make
- 12:24Speaker 1: it as like a high fashion milliner. Then we have
- 12:28Speaker 1: the hat competition, we have the issue with the horses.
- 12:31Speaker 1: We have the Stella and Christian romance. We have Christian
- 12:33Speaker 1: struggles as a horse trainer. We have Hannah feeling overshadowed
- 12:36Speaker 1: by Stella, Hannah struggling to have her baking business, acknowledge
- 12:39Speaker 1: Rosalind starting to feel like maybe a little bit obsolete.
- 12:41Speaker 1: My brain did not know what to care about.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Well, remember and uh when I went through the news
- 12:47Speaker 2: and notes, you think maybe having four writers on a
- 12:50Speaker 2: script is too.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Many, maybe too many storylines. Maybe, yeah, can we talk
- 12:56Speaker 1: about Hannah? Yeah, let's talk about Hannah. Hannah, my girl.
- 13:00Speaker 1: All Uh, you're the villain one hundred percent. Stella was
- 13:06Speaker 1: lovely to you. She offered supportive advice. And it's not
- 13:11Speaker 1: until she does the absolute least and buys you bakery
- 13:15Speaker 1: boxes that you realize that, no, you're the actual worst.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Look first of all, when Roland sees the bakery boxes
- 13:25Speaker 1: and she's like, this is ingenious, I went, are you
- 13:28Speaker 1: efen kidding me?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Right now?
- 13:30Speaker 1: She was it's a way to catch the crumbs. And
- 13:33Speaker 1: I was like looking around my house, like, what is
- 13:36Speaker 1: happening here? I don't know. I didn't get it. A
- 13:38Speaker 1: plate is also a way to catch the crumbs. This
- 13:40Speaker 1: focus on no crumbs a napkin. Come on, they weren't
- 13:46Speaker 1: even branded. It was like, you can go to the
- 13:49Speaker 1: Michaels and get those bakery doors. Yes, so you're an
- 13:54Speaker 1: assistant who felt a little bit taking advantage of so
- 13:56Speaker 1: you were jealous of the attention the new girl was getting.
- 13:59Speaker 1: It didn't really weren't like the Scooby Doo level of
- 14:03Speaker 1: sabotage that you will bringing to the table.
- 14:05Speaker 2: That's funny. Yes, that was my biggest problem. I was like,
- 14:09Speaker 2: what is Hannah's beef with Stella, Like it was never
- 14:11Speaker 2: established other than she was like the new girl.
- 14:15Speaker 1: But they weren't even like competing for the same job.
- 14:17Speaker 1: So it wasn't like but she was getting all the
- 14:19Speaker 1: attention from Odette break so dumb, so dumb. I this
- 14:26Speaker 1: is I hate when we have like a canniding female
- 14:31Speaker 1: character who's always trying to sabotage like the nice, sweet girl.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm so tired of this narrative how women hate each
- 14:40Speaker 1: other and we're gonna do bad things to each other,
- 14:44Speaker 1: especially at the end when yes, Rosalind was so overcome
- 14:49Speaker 1: with these bakery boxes that she's like you need to
- 14:51Speaker 1: order a or you need to open your own bakery,
- 14:54Speaker 1: and I'm gonna fund it. I was like, Rosalind is
- 14:56Speaker 1: a saint here, Like she's such a wonderful woman, help
- 15:00Speaker 1: another woman up. Hannah should have felt like a big jackass,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I know, but yes, that is a lovely thing for
- 15:07Speaker 1: Rosland to be, like, I'm gonna identify the talent in you,
- 15:10Speaker 1: and I'm gonna support that talent, and I want people
- 15:11Speaker 1: who work with me to be successful too. But also,
- 15:14Speaker 1: what the hell? Because Hannah has been bringing baked goods
- 15:17Speaker 1: to the shop all along, and even Christian's like, one
- 15:20Speaker 1: thing you should know about my mom don't eat the
- 15:21Speaker 1: scones because she's so afraid of a freaking crumb. Yeah,
- 15:24Speaker 1: it's dumb. So like, at what point was she, like,
- 15:26Speaker 1: was she so afraid of the crumbs that she never
- 15:29Speaker 1: tasted Hannah's baking and therefore wasn't aware of her talent?
- 15:32Speaker 1: And now all of a sudden, we have this ingenious
- 15:35Speaker 1: crumb catching bakery box, and so she's able to like
- 15:38Speaker 1: it didn't work for me. It didn't work for me either.
- 15:41Speaker 1: You're not wrong. She's like Monica Geller and her crummies.
- 15:45Speaker 1: You are not wrong.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I have a question, does Christian even know anything about horses.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oh, poor Christian. Look, this is a man who's grown
- 15:57Speaker 1: up in a family of horses right his entire life.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Yeah, he's horse people. They're horse people. Then you have
- 16:06Speaker 2: Stella from Tampa who grew up on a farm apparently, which.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Are there farms in Tampa? No? She was from self Swoop. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: is that a real place in Florida? Sees Saint Petersburg?
- 16:21Speaker 2: Okay, I don't know, guys, It's on the other side
- 16:23Speaker 2: of the world. For me, it feels like would there
- 16:26Speaker 2: be a farm there? Anyway? Here comes Stella and she's
- 16:32Speaker 2: got all the like inside baseball on how to train
- 16:37Speaker 2: a horse and what a horse needs, and Christians is like, oh, this.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Is all new news to me. Yeah. It seemed like
- 16:43Speaker 1: Christian was more like the business guy who had fallen
- 16:46Speaker 1: into the training role because that other dude had left,
- 16:50Speaker 1: who was a nice guy too, Yeah, but who Christian
- 16:53Speaker 1: made out to be like a villain. Yeah, when he
- 16:56Speaker 1: shows up and he was like keep your horse away
- 16:59Speaker 1: from mine or whatever. I expected more from that storyline
- 17:03Speaker 1: other than Christian was just feeling inferior.
- 17:06Speaker 2: There's a lot of people who could use some therapy.
- 17:08Speaker 2: In this movie, who could use just like a quick
- 17:10Speaker 2: like this person is not a threat to you, right, right, right? Yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 2: I have one more wish. I'm gonna circle back to
- 17:18Speaker 2: Holly Robinson's Pete. Holly robinson Pete's character of Rosalind.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I liked that she has this like realization that she really.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Loved being like riding horses, and then you know, she
- 17:38Speaker 2: kind of like steps out of her comfort zone here
- 17:40Speaker 2: at the end. I think I would have enjoyed more
- 17:43Speaker 2: of that story. I think it would have appealed more
- 17:47Speaker 2: to a larger Hallmark audience than this like hat competition
- 17:52Speaker 2: love story with Christian Like when don't you want to
- 17:55Speaker 2: see like a woman of a certain age kind of
- 17:56Speaker 2: have like this rebirth, yeah, find herself in that midlife yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 2: and be like, you know what I used to really
- 18:03Speaker 2: like that. I'm going to lean into that instead of
- 18:05Speaker 2: being this like high society lady that I am. Now.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Anyway, I would have liked to see that movie. Yeah.
- 18:14Speaker 1: My final wish is a big one. What well. I
- 18:19Speaker 1: appreciate the coordinated timing of the movie release on dup
- 18:21Speaker 1: Derby weekend. I'm begging you, movie makers of the world,
- 18:27Speaker 1: do not try and make a high fashion movie on
- 18:31Speaker 1: a no fashion budget. It's in my digit see that's
- 18:35Speaker 1: but we can talk about it now. Okay. The wardrobes.
- 18:40Speaker 1: The ward robe it was whack in this movie. It
- 18:44Speaker 1: was whack. It wasn't giving aspirational. And part of the
- 18:48Speaker 1: problem is with having it on Derby Weekend is that
- 18:50Speaker 1: if you have access to social media, all I was
- 18:52Speaker 1: seeing were like red carpets and influencer events and all
- 18:55Speaker 1: these things where people were showing up and bringing their
- 18:58Speaker 1: best doing a better job. Yeah. So I thought the end,
- 19:06Speaker 1: like at the race, Yes, that was nice. I really
- 19:10Speaker 1: liked the men's outfits at the race. I thought the
- 19:12Speaker 1: men looked great, men looked good. I think maybe maybe
- 19:16Speaker 1: it was harder to get all these kind of like
- 19:18Speaker 1: elevated dresses for a number of women that they needed.
- 19:23Speaker 2: It just looked like cheap fashion, like fast fashion. To me,
- 19:26Speaker 2: it did not look at high society.
- 19:27Speaker 1: The hat competition, I can't I just the most hurt
- 19:32Speaker 1: hurt my feelings. All those like feathers and stuff. We're
- 19:37Speaker 1: to believe that this is like the biggest event of
- 19:38Speaker 1: the summer and there's fifteen people in folding chairs watching it.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yea yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, when they're
- 19:45Speaker 1: all standing up there in line like they're being judged,
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah on their price chickens. Yeah. I didn't like any
- 19:51Speaker 1: of that. The costumeing for Stella I thought was so terrible,
- 19:57Speaker 1: with the exception when she was very casual. At the
- 20:00Speaker 1: very top of the movie, she's in a sweatshirt and
- 20:02Speaker 1: Levi's super cute a sweatshirt. It's like a light blue,
- 20:04Speaker 1: it has a little important farmers really enjoyed that. And
- 20:07Speaker 1: then later in the.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Movie she's in like a buttoned down striped yes white
- 20:11Speaker 2: light jeans, super cute. Anytime she was dressed up it
- 20:15Speaker 2: was horrible. I don't At one point she was in
- 20:17Speaker 2: this huge, like Peter Pan.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Collar shirt that had like a dress over it. It
- 20:22Speaker 1: was so bad and was too short for her too,
- 20:27Speaker 1: felt too like youthful. I did not love. I agree
- 20:31Speaker 1: with you. Her casual jeans outfits were great. Most of
- 20:37Speaker 1: her dresses were not, and I think I think they
- 20:42Speaker 1: were leaning too hard into her as this like country bumpkin.
- 20:46Speaker 1: But then she's got this like purple velvet dress just
- 20:50Speaker 1: in her closet ready to go. I mean, I know
- 20:52Speaker 1: it was the wrong look, but I don't know the
- 20:55Speaker 1: fashion was a miss for me, It was a super miss,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I think, especially like you said, if you're trying to
- 21:02Speaker 1: pull off what looks like a real life event that
- 21:05Speaker 1: is happening on the same weekend and where the fashion
- 21:09Speaker 1: is a key component of the event itself. Well yeah,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and especially the hat game, right, that's a very very
- 21:17Speaker 1: expensive I did.
- 21:19Speaker 2: These whatever was happening, Michaels, Can you imagine, Like I
- 21:27Speaker 2: don't mean to dog so hard, but I can just
- 21:29Speaker 2: see like production team is like hot gluing feathers to hats,
- 21:35Speaker 2: like no rhyme and reason, and like we're calling it quterror,
- 21:40Speaker 2: it just.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Is wolf Wolf. Well we already did at least one
- 21:46Speaker 1: of your digits that do anything more for I sure do. Okay.
- 21:50Speaker 2: There is one scene where they're walking and talking Stelen Christian.
- 21:54Speaker 2: He's talking about like imposter syndrome or whatever He's he's
- 21:58Speaker 2: venting to her about like feeling like he's a true
- 22:02Speaker 2: horse trainer. And the weather is like one scene cloudy
- 22:06Speaker 2: and damp, the next scene bright sunny, Like uh, it
- 22:10Speaker 2: was just you no, And I know, like you can't
- 22:12Speaker 2: control the weather, but it just was like one of
- 22:16Speaker 2: those things I was like, oh, now it's sunny. Now
- 22:18Speaker 2: her hair looks damp, but now it's sunny. No. Anyway,
- 22:21Speaker 2: the other when I have let's talk about that amusement
- 22:25Speaker 2: park that they went to one Why is it empty?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Because he rented it out?
- 22:29Speaker 2: He said, Oh, okay, my bad, I did miss that.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Was it supposed to be amusement park or was it
- 22:35Speaker 2: a county fair? Because that was clearly it was unclear
- 22:38Speaker 2: to me that it looked more like a fair to
- 22:39Speaker 2: me one hundred percent, like the one that comes here
- 22:42Speaker 2: every summer. Right, yeah, it looked because it was like
- 22:44Speaker 2: dirt roads and stuff. It looked like a fair. Okay,
- 22:46Speaker 2: I didn't know. I missed the detail that he rented
- 22:49Speaker 2: it out. Why did he rent it out for their date?
- 22:52Speaker 1: That's dumb. You heard it here first, you know why.
- 22:58Speaker 1: That's dumb.
- 22:59Speaker 2: What I just see, Oh, it's a Gilmore Girls episode
- 23:03Speaker 2: where Jason takes her to dinner and it's like this
- 23:06Speaker 2: in that place, private room. Yeah, they're in the private
- 23:09Speaker 2: room and it was not fun missing.
- 23:11Speaker 1: All the fun stuff.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, that's the fun part about going to like
- 23:15Speaker 2: the county fair or an amusement park is like the
- 23:17Speaker 2: people watching the energy of everything else, Like, you.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Know, I would be so embarrassed to be the one
- 23:21Speaker 1: person in this park. I'm like, can we go play
- 23:24Speaker 1: a game so against nobody?
- 23:26Speaker 2: Don't do that? So dumb, so dumb. I have two more?
- 23:29Speaker 2: Did you see that? Can I just keep going? Yeah?
- 23:33Speaker 2: It was a really cute scene. It was Christian and
- 23:36Speaker 2: Stella and there was a horse and he kisses the
- 23:39Speaker 2: horse on the snout, and I was wondering, like, I
- 23:43Speaker 2: wonder what this guy's experience is with these big, large animals.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I'm scared of horses. Are you terrified? Oh? Terrified? I
- 23:53Speaker 1: would never like.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Kiss a horse on its snout because it was no scary.
- 23:57Speaker 2: It was a very cute moment. And then right after that,
- 24:00Speaker 2: the horse made in his face and like they just
- 24:04Speaker 2: went with it, like they didn't even break character at all.
- 24:08Speaker 2: You can kind of see like Stella like Gina Claire,
- 24:12Speaker 2: you can kind of see her like hesitate a.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Little bit with the line. But other than that, I
- 24:17Speaker 1: was like, look at them, just go right for it.
- 24:18Speaker 1: The teeth are flat, it was right in his face.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I would have ran away. I like horses. I used
- 24:25Speaker 1: to horseback riding somewhere.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Well, that leads into my next my next thing a
- 24:32Speaker 2: job perr the name for those writing pants. I've always
- 24:37Speaker 2: called them writing pants.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Okay, have you ever heard that name before. I've heard
- 24:42Speaker 1: the name. I would never use it.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Rosalind refer to her pants that she's like for a
- 24:48Speaker 2: whole summer, I wore job purs. I'm sure I'm pronouncing
- 24:51Speaker 2: it wrong. And I was like, what the hell is that?
- 24:53Speaker 2: I had to look it up and then I was like, oh,
- 24:54Speaker 2: there's our writing pants.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but Rosalind is a very specific I know. I
- 25:00Speaker 1: just it just was interesting. I heard a new word.
- 25:03Speaker 1: I didn't know what it was.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Maybe not everybody else knows what it was. Either is like,
- 25:10Speaker 2: he's looking at me like you're a demy.
- 25:12Speaker 1: You read a book. I'm not. I'm surprised that it
- 25:15Speaker 1: was remarkable that I didn't know what it was. I'm
- 25:18Speaker 1: not saying that you should know what it was. There's
- 25:22Speaker 1: a lot of words that we're gonna like, we don't
- 25:24Speaker 1: know writing, so there's a lot of words that we're
- 25:26Speaker 1: going to hear that. All right, do you have any
- 25:28Speaker 1: other did you see that? Yes? Oh? Okay, I thought
- 25:33Speaker 1: you only had one. I don't know, so I haven't
- 25:35Speaker 1: even given one gone my did you see that? Is
- 25:44Speaker 1: they spill coffee on that hat and they give up
- 25:46Speaker 1: so fast. I'm like, well, I guess it's through and
- 25:48Speaker 1: better use the other one, like it was ruined though
- 25:50Speaker 1: it was a white hat. What are you gonna do?
- 25:52Speaker 1: Do you even try and tie pen?
- 25:53Speaker 2: It?
- 25:53Speaker 1: Nothing? It's nothing. Brought to you by tied pen.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Yeah, missed branding opportunity there right, sponsorship opportunity.
- 26:02Speaker 1: All right? What did you rate this? That's it? Jesus Christ,
- 26:06Speaker 1: that's it, and that you had a whole list? Why
- 26:12Speaker 1: did I write this movie two point five stars exactly.
- 26:15Speaker 2: The same hour?
- 26:17Speaker 1: I feel bad Sometimes in the two range, I feel
- 26:21Speaker 1: a little bad. This was a low point of this
