- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. Hi Bob,
- 0:06Speaker 1: how are you? Hey? Trist to sudden name Wren. You know,
- 0:11Speaker 1: I'm so glad we're talking about this today because I
- 0:14Speaker 1: intentionally have been avoiding your calls, texts and your emails, uh,
- 0:19Speaker 1: saving my venom for this podcast. First of all, you
- 0:24Speaker 1: looked beautiful at the wedding, as guys named Ryan, Max
- 0:28Speaker 1: and Blakesley all looked gorgeous, and but I felt like
- 0:32Speaker 1: your outfits were missing something. Uh you know, in the
- 0:37Speaker 1: jewels that you were all wearing. They were missing my
- 0:39Speaker 1: reflection because I wasn't there.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I thought you were going to say nice shoes for
- 0:47Speaker 2: Ryan and Max because everyone not everyone. Actually a lot
- 0:52Speaker 2: of people love that they both wore Converse. But it's
- 0:55Speaker 2: been a thing Ryan since the Mesnik wedding. I think
- 1:00Speaker 2: that Ryan actually forgot his nice shoes at that wedding
- 1:03Speaker 2: and he ended up wearing his Converse, and he got
- 1:05Speaker 2: so many compliments that he was like, you know what,
- 1:08Speaker 2: this is now my thing, Like I'm always gonna wear
- 1:11Speaker 2: Converse with no no, actually it was he had just
- 1:15Speaker 2: done like a marathon or triathlon or something iron Man,
- 1:19Speaker 2: something crazy, and his feet were killing him, so he
- 1:22Speaker 2: ended up wearing converse instead, and the rest is history.
- 1:27Speaker 2: So I'm like, you know what, people, you have nothing
- 1:31Speaker 2: better to do and complain about Ryan Sutter and Max
- 1:35Speaker 2: Sutter wearing converse at a televised wedding.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I saw somebody sharpen about that. I think I let
- 1:43Speaker 1: him have it. Actually, I was like, I think they
- 1:44Speaker 1: look great, you know, I mean, thank you. First of all,
- 1:47Speaker 1: I thought it was cool. I loved the fact that
- 1:50Speaker 1: the kids were there with you. But secondly, I really
- 1:53Speaker 1: loved that Max and Ryan did it together. Like, I
- 1:55Speaker 1: thought that was pretty cool, you know, from my perspective,
- 1:57Speaker 1: you know, when your dad, things are so different. Like
- 2:01Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, man, I hope, I hope my kids
- 2:03Speaker 1: want to have matching shoes at me someday. You know.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I thought that was really sweet. Maybe I'll like giggly,
- 2:08Speaker 1: but I thought you guys were absolutely beautiful and and uh,
- 2:12Speaker 1: you know, I definitely you know what we had talked
- 2:15Speaker 1: about it. I knew you guys were going to the
- 2:16Speaker 1: wedding and I knew I wasn't, and uh, you know,
- 2:19Speaker 1: there was that there was that part because I was like,
- 2:21Speaker 1: should I get the chicken or the fish? And then
- 2:24Speaker 1: I was like, oh, maybe I'll get the pasta because
- 2:26Speaker 1: I'm not going and there's no reason for me to
- 2:28Speaker 1: watch my carbon cake because I don't need to look good.
- 2:31Speaker 1: But you guys look great.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Oh thank you. It was really fun. Actually it was
- 2:35Speaker 2: supposed to be just Ryan and I and I asked
- 2:41Speaker 2: if the kids actually come with us, because we had
- 2:44Speaker 2: gone to the after the final rowse for Golden and
- 2:49Speaker 2: I had gone to Golden to do the pickleball date,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and we were going on all these little trips and
- 2:54Speaker 2: my daughter, especially Blakesley, loves to travel like it doesn't
- 2:58Speaker 2: matter what, just get us on a plane and she's
- 3:00Speaker 2: a happy girl. So I was like, they are going
- 3:03Speaker 2: to kill me if we go to this wedding without them.
- 3:07Speaker 2: She especially is just going to be like, what, You're
- 3:10Speaker 2: going to another thing without me? So I asked if
- 3:14Speaker 2: they could come, and they were so awesome to say yes,
- 3:18Speaker 2: of course, they are more than welcome to come to
- 3:20Speaker 2: the wedding.
- 3:21Speaker 1: When was that that you asked? When was that? Because
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm I'm wondering if it was when they called me
- 3:25Speaker 1: and said that I wasn't only invited anymore. They're like,
- 3:30Speaker 1: you know what, Bob, we booked your table because when
- 3:35Speaker 1: they originally called me, they're like, you're sitting with Trista
- 3:37Speaker 1: and Ryan. We wanted to make sure we have like
- 3:39Speaker 1: the all star og table. And I'm like, oh sweet,
- 3:42Speaker 1: And then they're like, oh gosh, Bob, we overbooked.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Stop trying to blind me. It's not my fault.
- 3:48Speaker 1: We had to trim the fat somewhere on the Fat
- 3:50Speaker 1: Guy again. Yeah, we're doing this again. A fat joke. Okay,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I thought it was actually you know what I gotta
- 3:59Speaker 1: tell you. So one of the things that I was
- 4:01Speaker 1: excited about seeing the whole family there because you know,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I feel like one of the turning points for this
- 4:07Speaker 1: franchise was The Golden Bachelor, because you know, we've all
- 4:13Speaker 1: seen the show right a gazillion times, and it was
- 4:17Speaker 1: so nice to see it take this turn with a
- 4:20Speaker 1: more mature lead and and you and I have talked
- 4:23Speaker 1: about this a lot, but my favorite part of The
- 4:25Speaker 1: Golden Bachelor was the fact that the casting wasn't stunt casting.
- 4:29Speaker 1: It was legitimately great casting and age appropriate casting. I
- 4:33Speaker 1: really loved that part of it. And we have to
- 4:35Speaker 1: meet so many of the women from the season, and
- 4:38Speaker 1: and man, I just I loved. I loved them all,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and I loved that your whole family was there because
- 4:44Speaker 1: this show is what, you know, gave rise to your family,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and I think it was really emblematic of all four
- 4:52Speaker 1: of you being there. I think, I think it to me,
- 4:55Speaker 1: it was exactly what that wedding needs or not didn't need.
- 5:00Speaker 1: But you know what I'm saying, Like, I feel like
- 5:02Speaker 1: that the show is really kind of all wrapped up
- 5:05Speaker 1: in that, like you guys being there as a family celebrating,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you know, Jerry Tree, I don't know. I just to me,
- 5:13Speaker 1: it meant a lot. I like seeing you guys there
- 5:15Speaker 1: with Gary Treeson and the whole thing, So it meant
- 5:18Speaker 1: a lot to me. I felt like I was I
- 5:20Speaker 1: was there in spirit.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yes you were, of course, and I wouldn't have.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Been able to go anyway, exuse I had to do
- 5:25Speaker 1: my hair that night and I was a busy you.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Know, no to be able to share it with the
- 5:32Speaker 2: kids like it was really special, you know, like they've
- 5:38Speaker 2: never really gotten to do any of the events with us.
- 5:41Speaker 2: They obviously know our story and they know they you know,
- 5:44Speaker 2: will even get asked to be in pictures with us,
- 5:48Speaker 2: you know, for the last but I don't know, five
- 5:50Speaker 2: ten years, but to be able to be there and
- 5:54Speaker 2: actually share it with them, and like Blakesley especially loves
- 6:00Speaker 2: meeting everybody like she had so much fun. We stood
- 6:04Speaker 2: at the bar for a really long time with Caitlin
- 6:07Speaker 2: and Joey and had the best conversation. Joey was giving
- 6:11Speaker 2: her advice like it was the cutest thing ever. And
- 6:13Speaker 2: then Rachel Reccia just Blakesley audors her. She was the sweetest,
- 6:22Speaker 2: same thing with Christina Mandrel with Blakesley, like pulling her
- 6:25Speaker 2: onto the dance floor and dancing with her. Meanwhile, as
- 6:29Speaker 2: I'm sure you could guess, Ryan and Max were just
- 6:33Speaker 2: sitting at the table watching us do our thing on
- 6:36Speaker 2: the dance floor, which it was. It was hysterical, like
- 6:40Speaker 2: if you saw us at the reception. It was like,
- 6:44Speaker 2: oh yeah, that's exactly where I would have guessed Ryan
- 6:47Speaker 2: would be with Mac, That's exactly where I would have
- 6:49Speaker 2: guessed Dilake would have been. So no, it was fun.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It was really fun.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I always love when we're at events, when we're at
- 6:57Speaker 1: events together and and Ryan'll be like you know it,
- 7:00Speaker 1: and I'll stay to Ryan, I'm like, buddy, I love
- 7:02Speaker 1: that you know, I might not have seen him for
- 7:04Speaker 1: like five years. I haven't seen you in so long.
- 7:05Speaker 1: He's like, nothing's changed. I'm so glad that you interested
- 7:08Speaker 1: can go do that and I'll be over here.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Exactly. That's him, and you know what, he loves it.
- 7:16Speaker 2: He actually loves like he gets joy out of watching
- 7:20Speaker 2: me get to do my thing, like exactly be out
- 7:24Speaker 2: on the dance floor and cut a rug and just
- 7:26Speaker 2: have so much fun, singing songs and just living, you know,
- 7:30Speaker 2: my best life.
- 7:32Speaker 1: He just that's who he fell in love with, that
- 7:34Speaker 1: spirit that you carry and and you love like I mean,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and Canyons, you know, I found my mate and she's
- 7:41Speaker 1: the same way like Canyon is the same way Kanyon
- 7:43Speaker 1: would be sitting right there with Ryan totally, you know,
- 7:45Speaker 1: having a great conversation and being very comfortable in silence
- 7:50Speaker 1: at times too. And it's it, you know. I mean, well,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I go to the Derby every year, as you know,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and I'll walk the red carpet. And I used to
- 7:57Speaker 1: make Jessica walk the red carpet. Yeah, like please, you know, please,
- 8:00Speaker 1: And now we're at the point, you know, ten years
- 8:01Speaker 1: in I'll be like it really means a lot to me.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And you know, now we'll walk through a carpet and
- 8:05Speaker 1: I'll be like, see on the other side.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Yeah, you, me and you were walking the red carpet
- 8:14Speaker 2: together and Max and well Ryan was like, okay, peace out,
- 8:18Speaker 2: we'll see it's on oe side. I'm going to watch
- 8:19Speaker 2: a hockey game on my phone.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Didn't even come. She went to dinner and then went home.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's like, what's going on?
- 8:30Speaker 2: I know, so funny. Yes, it was a really really
- 8:35Speaker 2: fun wedding. I am really happy for Gary and Teresa
- 8:39Speaker 2: and and Branden and Christina. I like I said, I
- 8:45Speaker 2: guess we're going to do this before, so they they
- 8:48Speaker 2: got engaged on the show, and there was all this
- 8:51Speaker 2: controversy surrounding them about proposing to someone. But it's in
- 8:58Speaker 2: the headlines now, and maybe we should just get into
- 9:00Speaker 2: the headlines. Sure that Branden actually talked to Gary and
- 9:06Speaker 2: Teresa before and kind of asked them for their you know,
- 9:12Speaker 2: their what's the.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Word, blessing, Their blessing.
- 9:15Speaker 2: They're blessing, that's the word. So I think that's just
- 9:19Speaker 2: so sweet that he reached out and said, even though
- 9:22Speaker 2: this is a television event, is that's still your wedding
- 9:25Speaker 2: And I want to make sure that this is okay.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So I thought that was very sweet and very mature.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Well, and let's be honest, kind of off brand for
- 9:33Speaker 1: who we've gotten to know this guy, to be right,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I mean he isn't he kind of been like a
- 9:38Speaker 1: little bit of a trouble.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Maker on on the Bachelor when he was on Bachelor
- 9:48Speaker 2: in Paradise, he totally flipped the script. And I feel like, yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 2: at least that that was my take from Bachelor in Paradise.
- 10:00Speaker 2: So and when I met him, he was incredibly sweet
- 10:04Speaker 2: and you know, kind and mature and but like you know,
- 10:08Speaker 2: people were bringing up and I actually have this conversation
- 10:12Speaker 2: with Ben in a podcast that we did after the
- 10:14Speaker 2: wedding about how I think Jess wrote him and said,
- 10:20Speaker 2: why someone else getting married at an at another person's wedding,
- 10:24Speaker 2: And I just, I guess I never really had that.
- 10:30Speaker 2: I didn't take that away. I just thought, this is love.
- 10:35Speaker 2: And now that I know that Braden reached out to
- 10:38Speaker 2: them and had a conversation and they gave him their blessing,
- 10:42Speaker 2: I think even more like more power to him, you know,
- 10:45Speaker 2: if that's if that's how you want to propose and
- 10:48Speaker 2: share it with the world, especially because that's how people
- 10:51Speaker 2: met you then go for it, you know.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Well, and you know it's not a standard wedding, right,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I guess I could get it. Like it's almost like,
- 10:59Speaker 1: you know, don't wear to a wedding, right, and like
- 11:01Speaker 1: people have that kind of mindset. It's like, this isn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: a standard you know, you know wedding in you know,
- 11:10Speaker 1: at a banquet hall in you know, wherever. This is
- 11:12Speaker 1: a televised wedding where everyone that's there, or not everyone
- 11:15Speaker 1: that's there, but a lot of people that are there
- 11:17Speaker 1: are are noteworthy characters from a television show. And you know,
- 11:22Speaker 1: so it's not it's not completely out of the realm
- 11:25Speaker 1: of possibilities that something sensational will happen. I mean, it
- 11:29Speaker 1: is still a television show right at the end of
- 11:31Speaker 1: the day. That is still something that's televised. And I
- 11:34Speaker 1: think that the fact that he kind of treated it,
- 11:37Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I would imagine if he did
- 11:39Speaker 1: that he also asked, you know, her family for their permission,
- 11:43Speaker 1: you know, to ask her to Marryham as well, and
- 11:45Speaker 1: then for him to go to that length to ask
- 11:47Speaker 1: Gary Treesa. I said, okay, if I just sit your wedding.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I think that's sweet. Yeah, it's actually a nice thing.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And yeah, you know, man, it's like it's like you
- 11:55Speaker 1: just made a big here, you know what I mean.
- 11:57Speaker 1: So I think it's pretty awesome.
- 11:58Speaker 2: And actually I do have to say this was before
- 12:02Speaker 2: the wedding, so it was like a little cocktail party
- 12:05Speaker 2: before the wedding. Gary and Teresa hadn't even entered the
- 12:10Speaker 2: picture yet. Obviously the event was about them and their
- 12:13Speaker 2: love story, but they they were none the wiser. They
- 12:17Speaker 2: were probably in their rooms, you know, finishing touches, getting ready,
- 12:21Speaker 2: spending it with family, and they they weren't part of it,
- 12:27Speaker 2: so it wasn't really like part of their wedding. Like
- 12:31Speaker 2: I know, a lot of people don't have a cocktail
- 12:33Speaker 2: party prior to their wedding, you like, you know, get
- 12:36Speaker 2: there when the wedding's supposed to happen. But it was
- 12:39Speaker 2: part of this cocktail party that was just to allow
- 12:43Speaker 2: for the show to you know, introduce everybody who would
- 12:46Speaker 2: who would be there, including the family members and all
- 12:49Speaker 2: of that. So yeah, I really, I really don't think
- 12:54Speaker 2: the drama surrounding it was all that. But hey, that's
- 12:57Speaker 2: just me.
- 12:58Speaker 1: I love love, I got another headline that I love
- 13:12Speaker 1: and I love a couple too, and I know you
- 13:13Speaker 1: do too. Kaylin and Dean Bell moving into their new.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Crib yes in Paulatto.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm telling you, man, I mean it's I love that.
- 13:24Speaker 1: So we Uh when we were all together at the
- 13:26Speaker 1: iHeart event, we got to talk a lot about their
- 13:28Speaker 1: new house and you know, they're telling us all sorts
- 13:31Speaker 1: of different things about it, which I thought sounded amazing.
- 13:33Speaker 1: And uh, man, the pictures, I mean, the descriptions didn't
- 13:37Speaker 1: do it justice. The pictures are absolutely beautiful and they did.
- 13:40Speaker 2: A great they did. I am so excited for them.
- 13:44Speaker 2: I wish we were closer because they are one of
- 13:48Speaker 2: my favorite couples that like Ryan and I actually both
- 13:52Speaker 2: vibe with. Like Ryan had a great conversation with Dean
- 13:56Speaker 2: at iHeart. They're very similar in terms of what they're
- 14:00Speaker 2: venturous nature and.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Bold mountain men.
- 14:02Speaker 2: You know, they are total mountain men. I mean, that
- 14:05Speaker 2: is exactly who they are, and I'm just so excited
- 14:09Speaker 2: for them. I just wish they were closer, but I'm
- 14:10Speaker 2: sure they'll be in Denver and will be that way
- 14:14Speaker 2: that they've extended an invite to come and visit at
- 14:17Speaker 2: some point, which I definitely would love to do. I mean,
- 14:20Speaker 2: we're city people now, which is crazy to me, but
- 14:23Speaker 2: we missed the mountains, so any chance to get to
- 14:26Speaker 2: the mountains I'm all about and just love them. But
- 14:30Speaker 2: it looks like and it sounds like they have so
- 14:32Speaker 2: much space, like so much acreage. Seems like lots of
- 14:37Speaker 2: land and actually really funny side note, acreage the word
- 14:43Speaker 2: always you know, you always laugh about fat jokes. I
- 14:47Speaker 2: don't know if I've shared this yet, but we were
- 14:49Speaker 2: sitting we were sitting on the couch. You were watching
- 14:51Speaker 2: Yellowstone a while ago. This was years ago, maybe a
- 14:55Speaker 2: couple of years ago. And Ryan has this tendency to
- 14:59Speaker 2: like repeat if someone says something, he'll like repeat it
- 15:04Speaker 2: and say you are this, or you are that or what.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Right, like you're a you're this? Yeah. Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 2: So I said, that's a lot of acreage or someone
- 15:14Speaker 2: on the show said that's a lot of acreage. And
- 15:16Speaker 2: he turns to me and he goes, you're a lot
- 15:18Speaker 2: of acreage, and I was like, excuse me, did I
- 15:28Speaker 2: just hear you right? You just called me a lot
- 15:30Speaker 2: of acreage?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's so good. So it's just which
- 15:38Speaker 1: my immediate response would have been, is that a is
- 15:41Speaker 1: that a fat joke?
- 15:41Speaker 2: I think I actually said.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That, I'm glad I've stayed in your lives all these years.
- 15:47Speaker 2: To this day, I still give him crap about it,
- 15:49Speaker 2: but anyway, yes, we have a lot of acreage. And
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm just so so happy for them, and you know,
- 15:57Speaker 2: the progression of their of their love story. They are
- 16:01Speaker 2: one of my favorites.
- 16:02Speaker 1: They're such a lovely couple. They're both such gentle yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: like I don't really know how else to say it, like,
- 16:09Speaker 1: they're just really gentle and kind people, you know, And
- 16:13Speaker 1: I've gotten to know them over the years and I
- 16:15Speaker 1: and I really, I really genuinely like them a lot.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And you know my wife does too. Like Canyon, we'll
- 16:21Speaker 1: come away from these events and you know, Kenyon, as
- 16:23Speaker 1: you know, obviously, wasn't ever a part of Bachelor Nation.
- 16:25Speaker 1: So she's slowly, over the years has gotten to know people.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And she's not a huge outgoing personality, so she is
- 16:31Speaker 1: a slow burn, you know, and she always kind of
- 16:33Speaker 1: hangs back, and you know, and so you know, she'll
- 16:35Speaker 1: come away from these things like, oh my god, I
- 16:37Speaker 1: love her and oh my god, I love her. You know,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and so she's always I love I love her take
- 16:42Speaker 1: on things because I just love everybody, you know, so
- 16:45Speaker 1: it's like to get her take on things is always
- 16:47Speaker 1: pretty cool too. In fact, I wanted to tell you
- 16:50Speaker 1: so it's kind of interesting. I'm not and I this
- 16:51Speaker 1: is more something I can need to talk to Ryan about,
- 16:54Speaker 1: not necessarily for our show. But one of my really
- 16:57Speaker 1: good friends is a guy I met years ago at
- 16:59Speaker 1: the Peaby Hotel in Memphis when I was oddly enough,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I was opening for Matchbox twenty at this rooftop thing
- 17:04Speaker 1: and pretty cool, you know, night and everything, and we
- 17:06Speaker 1: met randomly. And then now twenty years later, I do
- 17:10Speaker 1: some work with him, some consulting work with him. Amaze anyway,
- 17:13Speaker 1: it's crazy. So the other day we're having lunch, just
- 17:16Speaker 1: hanging out, and I said something to him and he
- 17:18Speaker 1: goes uh. He goes, hey, do you do you interest
- 17:21Speaker 1: I do a podcast together. I said yeah, and he goes, uh.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I can't believe it. My wife loves it. She listens
- 17:26Speaker 1: all the time. She's like, she looks for the ogs.
- 17:28Speaker 1: And I said, oh, that's so nice, and he goes,
- 17:30Speaker 1: you know, I would always go out to Colorado with
- 17:36Speaker 1: some buddies of mine on this ski trip, and we
- 17:39Speaker 1: would get a place and it was right near the firehouse,
- 17:42Speaker 1: and I would talk to Ryan all the time and
- 17:44Speaker 1: he's like, and he goes and I'd always bring you
- 17:47Speaker 1: up because you're from Michigan and I'm from Michigan. And
- 17:49Speaker 1: he's like, and I'd be like, yeah, I met Bob
- 17:51Speaker 1: at the Memphis people Audy Hotel one time. He's like, oh,
- 17:53Speaker 1: Bob's my guy. It was just so funny, like a
- 17:56Speaker 1: small world connection. I'm like, I would tell just to
- 17:58Speaker 1: that on our show.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Is such a small world. Seriously, it is so small world.
- 18:07Speaker 2: And going from Colorado couple to another Colorado couple in
- 18:12Speaker 2: the lines, Sarah Harren is pregnant again. I am so
- 18:17Speaker 2: happy with.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I'm so so happy for her. You talk about a
- 18:21Speaker 1: lovely person who went through it, right, I mean I know.
- 18:25Speaker 2: I mean they lost their son right after he was born,
- 18:29Speaker 2: and I just can't I literally can't imagine. My heart
- 18:36Speaker 2: just was broken for them. I actually funny side note,
- 18:41Speaker 2: I took the first picture of them, the first picture
- 18:44Speaker 2: of them together. It was at an event for her
- 18:49Speaker 2: charity organization, and he was a photographer and love seeing
- 18:54Speaker 2: them together. And I'm just so happy for them now
- 18:58Speaker 2: with continuing to pursue IVF and and it actually took
- 19:05Speaker 2: this time and they are expecting twins, so I'm excited.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I'm saying prayers for you know, a successful
- 19:14Speaker 1: and happy birth and pregnancy. And she's a very sweet person.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And man, it's there's nothing harder than to watch someone
- 19:21Speaker 1: struggle with fertility and fertility issues, and especially when you
- 19:25Speaker 1: know how wonderful of a parent they're going to be.
- 19:28Speaker 1: And it's like she's just going to be such a
- 19:29Speaker 1: great mom. And I don't know her husband, but I've
- 19:33Speaker 1: heard great things about him too, and you know, so
- 19:36Speaker 1: I just I'm so excited for them, and I can't wait,
- 19:40Speaker 1: you know, for the great news. It's like, you know,
- 19:42Speaker 1: there's certain people I've only met a few times, you know,
- 19:44Speaker 1: like it's not like I know her, it's like I
- 19:46Speaker 1: you know, but the few times I've met her, I've
- 19:48Speaker 1: been like, God, I love her, man, She's awesome. I
- 19:51Speaker 1: feel like I know her, you know, Like it's one
- 19:52Speaker 1: of those things. And I think we all have that
- 19:55Speaker 1: experience from our show, and like, you know, I think
- 19:58Speaker 1: I think you and I've talked about before our little
- 19:59Speaker 1: for eternity or a little sorority of people that we've
- 20:03Speaker 1: you know, somehow rubbed up with over the twenty some
- 20:05Speaker 1: years that you and I have been around this franchise.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But we might not know these people, but in some
- 20:09Speaker 1: weird way, we kind of are connected and feel like
- 20:11Speaker 1: we know them.
- 20:12Speaker 2: And you know.
- 20:14Speaker 1: With her, I definitely have a hu. We've had dinner
- 20:17Speaker 1: or whatever it might be, and I feel really happy
- 20:20Speaker 1: for her and for her husband, and I'm so excited
- 20:23Speaker 1: for them. And another person who I feel like that
- 20:26Speaker 1: Claire Crawley. Crawley, Oh God, talk about somebody's been through it, man,
- 20:32Speaker 1: You talk about somebody's been through the Ringer.
- 20:33Speaker 2: You know.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I remember a night, and this is years and years
- 20:37Speaker 1: and years ago. I was still living in LA and
- 20:41Speaker 1: I don't even know what was going on, but Sarah
- 20:42Speaker 1: Harron was there too, and Clara was there. She hadn't
- 20:46Speaker 1: even been the bachelorette yet, yeah, and I remember she
- 20:48Speaker 1: was in town and we were not like club hopping
- 20:51Speaker 1: or something, and I was living there, so I kind
- 20:54Speaker 1: of knew a bunch of people. So we would just
- 20:55Speaker 1: walk in the front of the line. I'd be like
- 20:56Speaker 1: rolling in with a troup of people and it was
- 21:00Speaker 1: just super fun, you know, and I remember thinking she
- 21:02Speaker 1: was just so awesome and I loved her. And then
- 21:04Speaker 1: when she went on The Bachelor atte and I just
- 21:06Speaker 1: I loved how she kind of had her own thing
- 21:08Speaker 1: going and she was just you know, putting it out there.
- 21:10Speaker 1: She wasn't afraid and you know, it was gonna do
- 21:13Speaker 1: her own thing, and you know, left the show early
- 21:17Speaker 1: because she found this guy and she's like, this is
- 21:19Speaker 1: my dude, and I'm not messing around, and you know,
- 21:21Speaker 1: it's like things that I mean, we couldn't have done
- 21:24Speaker 1: back in the day, right even if I know for
- 21:27Speaker 1: a fact you knew Ryan was your guy one, and
- 21:30Speaker 1: I I know that you you know, you had that feeling,
- 21:32Speaker 1: but we wouldn't even have thought we could have acted
- 21:35Speaker 1: on it if we knew that. At the time, We're like, oh,
- 21:36Speaker 1: we got to go through this process, and you know, yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 1: and it's just the show. The show had morphed into
- 21:41Speaker 1: such a thing now where you're like, I'm doing this,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you know, But unfortunately it didn't work out for her,
- 21:46Speaker 1: you know, and it was just you know, a bummer
- 21:48Speaker 1: after another bummer, and then now for her to find
- 21:51Speaker 1: you know, just this happiness and and oh my god,
- 21:53Speaker 1: and now her baby girl, and oh, just so happy
- 21:56Speaker 1: for her.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I know it. I know it definitely makes me so
- 22:00Speaker 2: happy when a friend can find that kind of joy
- 22:04Speaker 2: and happiness in life, like she's just wanted it for
- 22:08Speaker 2: so long, it seems. And oh, I was anxiously watching
- 22:16Speaker 2: watching the stories just to see her stories on Instagram,
- 22:20Speaker 2: just to see, you know, make sure that everything was
- 22:23Speaker 2: okay and the baby was healthy, and she just seems
- 22:28Speaker 2: like on cloud nine.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I always felt like she reached out to you a
- 22:32Speaker 1: lot before she was the bachelorette, like because she was
- 22:34Speaker 1: going to be the oldest bachelorette at the time, and
- 22:36Speaker 1: it was like she was a little nervous about all
- 22:38Speaker 1: of it. And I don't know why. I felt like
- 22:40Speaker 1: she told me, you know me in my memory, I don't,
- 22:44Speaker 1: I don't remember.
- 22:45Speaker 2: But yes, I've always felt connected to her. I feel
- 22:48Speaker 2: like from when she was on one Pablo season, I
- 22:51Speaker 2: feel like they connected back then and hung out at
- 22:57Speaker 2: Jaden Tanner's wedding, which was also the like twentieth anniversary
- 23:01Speaker 2: or something like that. So yeah, I just I love her,
- 23:05Speaker 2: and honestly, any woman who shares the sentiment of wanting
- 23:12Speaker 2: to be a mom who has struggled or had any
- 23:16Speaker 2: kind of struggle. I really relate to that because that
- 23:19Speaker 2: was me. I wanted to be a mom so badly.
- 23:22Speaker 2: That was just my entire goal in life, and struggled
- 23:26Speaker 2: with it for two years. So knowing, you know, the
- 23:30Speaker 2: struggles that she had experienced, and and now finding that, like,
- 23:37Speaker 2: I guess, dream come true. I'm just I'm just thrilled
- 23:40Speaker 2: for her. So and then another baby. We've got multiple babies,
- 23:44Speaker 2: Jesse Palmer, which was so funny at the ceremony. So
- 23:51Speaker 2: I found out from a source that that well was
- 23:58Speaker 2: actually rehearsing to step in for Jesse if Jesse had
- 24:05Speaker 2: to leave. So his wife was basically like, I think
- 24:10Speaker 2: I'm in labor, but he was. I think he was
- 24:12Speaker 2: already in California, and so they were like like prepared
- 24:17Speaker 2: for the baby to come and Jesse to have to leave.
- 24:20Speaker 2: So I think that Wells was rehearsing and then or
- 24:24Speaker 2: maybe Jesse was there with his wife and then when
- 24:26Speaker 2: he got the go ahead to come to California and
- 24:29Speaker 2: do it, and I think they had a plane on
- 24:31Speaker 2: standby ready to fly him to Miami in case she
- 24:36Speaker 2: went into labor, and he alluded to that on the
- 24:39Speaker 2: live show. He was like, you know, I'm waiting for
- 24:42Speaker 2: the text from my wife just in case, just in
- 24:45Speaker 2: case things happened before I'm done with this wedding, I
- 24:48Speaker 2: will be heading out.
- 24:50Speaker 1: But I'm happy for them too.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I love all these babies that.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I love it too. I think as I was like
- 24:59Speaker 1: a dad, you know, I didn't become a dad until
- 25:01Speaker 1: later in life, and it's like I almost missed out
- 25:06Speaker 1: on that. And it's like now when I see people
- 25:08Speaker 1: having kids, I'm like, oh, you're gonna be so Oh,
- 25:10Speaker 1: you're gonna be so excited. You're gonna be so happy.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Trust me, this is gonna be the greatest thing you've
- 25:13Speaker 1: ever done in your life. I you know, because in
- 25:15Speaker 1: my mind, I think I had resigned myself to the
- 25:17Speaker 1: fact I maybe I'm not going to have a family,
- 25:19Speaker 1: you know, maybe I have kids whatever. And so now
- 25:22Speaker 1: when I see people, it just brings me back to
- 25:26Speaker 1: the joy that I had in my heart and how
- 25:28Speaker 1: I felt and in those moments and how I feel
- 25:30Speaker 1: every day. And you know, it's like it's one of
- 25:32Speaker 1: those things where you're like, oh, good for you. You know,
- 25:34Speaker 1: like here we go. You know.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so it also kind of makes me a little jealous,
- 25:40Speaker 2: like I wish I could do it again. I wish
- 25:42Speaker 2: I could be even though pregnancy did not agree with me,
- 25:47Speaker 2: I wish I could be pregnant again, have that excitement
- 25:50Speaker 2: of going to the hospital and getting ready to meet
- 25:52Speaker 2: them and watching them, you know, grow from the seeny
- 25:57Speaker 2: tiny little nugget. You know, it makes me a little jealous.
- 26:02Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie of all these babies, I wish
- 26:05Speaker 2: I could. I wish I could do it again.
- 26:07Speaker 1: I do. Well, you've been a great mom to the
- 26:10Speaker 1: two that you do have, so you should definitely celebrate
- 26:13Speaker 1: in that they're lucky to have you. Trista satur nae
- 26:16Speaker 1: rend the naya, oive the nay. You know, we we've
- 26:34Speaker 1: talked about all the good stuff, and with all the
- 26:36Speaker 1: good stuff, of course, you know, there's there's gonna be
- 26:38Speaker 1: some stuff that isn't so great and some unfortunate news. Uh.
- 26:43Speaker 1: In Bachelor Nation, of course, Rachel Lindsay and uh Brian Obslo.
- 26:49Speaker 1: You know, it's odd I don't know either of them personally,
- 26:53Speaker 1: and uh, but oddly enough I have a friend in
- 26:57Speaker 1: common with with Brian, with doctor abs as he was
- 27:01Speaker 1: called for a little bit and it's a it's a
- 27:04Speaker 1: buddy of mine from Iowa. I'll never forget it. He
- 27:06Speaker 1: came up to me, He's like, hey, my friend is
- 27:08Speaker 1: my really good buddies, my chiropractor. He's going to be
- 27:10Speaker 1: on this season with the Bachelor atte Oh he's the
- 27:12Speaker 1: greatest guy. You would love him and uh, and so
- 27:15Speaker 1: I always felt like I kind of had a kinship
- 27:17Speaker 1: with him, you know, and you know, went through the
- 27:19Speaker 1: show and everything, and and so I just my heart
- 27:22Speaker 1: goes out to them as a couple. You know. Obviously
- 27:26Speaker 1: I was a divorced uh, you know, post a Bachelor
- 27:29Speaker 1: and in the in the limelight. My ex wife was
- 27:33Speaker 1: an actress. She wasn't on the show. But you know,
- 27:35Speaker 1: it's really difficult to go through something like that in
- 27:38Speaker 1: the public eye, whether you signed up for it or not.
- 27:40Speaker 1: And one of my biggest pet peas is when someone
- 27:43Speaker 1: like complains to a guy they hardly know about their spouse,
- 27:46Speaker 1: you know what I mean, It just drives me absolutely bananas. Yeah,
- 27:49Speaker 1: And I'll always say to them, I'll say, you know, hey,
- 27:51Speaker 1: look I'll tell you the guy's honest truth. Like getting
- 27:53Speaker 1: divorced even if you want it sucks like it really does,
- 27:57Speaker 1: and it hurts no matter whether you want it or not.
- 28:00Speaker 1: And so whether you think you want it or not.
- 28:03Speaker 1: So my heart goes out to the to Brian and
- 28:05Speaker 1: Rachel because obviously one of them or both of them
- 28:08Speaker 1: wanted it, and now they're going through it, and it's
- 28:10Speaker 1: it's gonna it's gonna get a lot worse before it
- 28:12Speaker 1: gets better. So you know, I think at the end
- 28:15Speaker 1: of the day, I just I feel for him. You know,
- 28:17Speaker 1: it's it's not easy in the spotlight especially, and it's
- 28:20Speaker 1: it's not easy when you're not in the spotlight. So
- 28:22Speaker 1: either way, they're going through it. I mean, the last
- 28:24Speaker 1: I had heard, you know, the last and I know
- 28:27Speaker 1: they were very private, but the last I had heard,
- 28:28Speaker 1: they were talking about expanding their family and no longer
- 28:31Speaker 1: being a long distance couple and all that kind of stuff,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and so I was kind of, you know, optimistic about
- 28:37Speaker 1: what was going to happen next, and you know, then
- 28:39Speaker 1: the other shoe dropped. So I mean, you may know
- 28:42Speaker 1: more I I don't, but I don't.
- 28:44Speaker 2: I haven't talked to Rachel. Actually I need to reach
- 28:47Speaker 2: out to her, I just for that reason.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I know.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I know divorces is hard. I have a lot of
- 28:52Speaker 2: friends going through it or have been through it, and
- 28:56Speaker 2: you know, I'm the I'm a child of divorce, so
- 29:00Speaker 2: I know how hard it is. So I need to
- 29:03Speaker 2: reach out just as my friend and just say I'm
- 29:06Speaker 2: thinking of you. But so I've been I've been a
- 29:10Speaker 2: bad friend, a very bad friend. So Rachel, I hope
- 29:14Speaker 2: you can can forgive me for being a bad friend.
- 29:19Speaker 2: But it's it's not because there's a side for me,
- 29:23Speaker 2: like she is my friend. I don't know, Brian, and
- 29:27Speaker 2: I hate the whole blame game when anyone breaks up.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It doesn't matter if it's a divorce or you know,
- 29:32Speaker 2: like like Caitlin and Jason or Ashley and JP or
- 29:36Speaker 2: who whatever, whoever's breaking up in Bachelor Nation, there's always
- 29:40Speaker 2: like people searching for who who did who cheated? And
- 29:45Speaker 2: who did something wrong? Or can it just be that
- 29:49Speaker 2: it wasn't meant to be a lifelong relationship?
- 29:54Speaker 1: You know? Yeah, I always say that whenever I hear
- 29:56Speaker 1: about people breaking up. My mind it's like, well, there's
- 29:58Speaker 1: three size to every story. There's her side, his side
- 30:00Speaker 1: of the truth, right, because everyone's got their own spin
- 30:03Speaker 1: and their own feeling on things, and that can kind
- 30:05Speaker 1: of sometimes cloud your judgment. But at the end of
- 30:08Speaker 1: the day, it's like, you know, the ultimate thing is
- 30:11Speaker 1: it just didn't work, and so what a bomber And
- 30:13Speaker 1: it's sad, But now it's a new beginning and hopefully,
- 30:16Speaker 1: you know, thankfully that they didn't have children and and
- 30:19Speaker 1: you know, and have that kind of you know, unfortunate
- 30:23Speaker 1: circumstance for the child. So now that they they had
- 30:26Speaker 1: an opportunity to move on and get started fresh and
- 30:28Speaker 1: hopefully find the right person for each each other. So
- 30:31Speaker 1: you know, that'll be a good thing.
- 30:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I did hear her say that in an interview
- 30:38Speaker 2: or it was reported about, and I could so I
- 30:41Speaker 2: could be getting this wrong, because it was reported about
- 30:43Speaker 2: her speaking up in an interviewer on her podcast saying,
- 30:46Speaker 2: you know, they were basically living separate lives. He was
- 30:49Speaker 2: working his basic nine to five, you know, as a chiropractor,
- 30:53Speaker 2: and she was working I think nights essentially like doing
- 31:00Speaker 2: you know, events and things for her correspondent work and
- 31:05Speaker 2: hosting stuff. So that's just hard, you know, like, how
- 31:08Speaker 2: how do you keep a marriage going when you don't
- 31:12Speaker 2: see each other? Right? That's really hard. I don't know
- 31:16Speaker 2: anybody who could so, and that's kind of like also
- 31:21Speaker 2: like the Dancing with the Stars thing. Anytime anytime someone
- 31:25Speaker 2: from the show goes on Dancing with the Stars, I'm like, no,
- 31:29Speaker 2: because you're going to be gone all the time. You
- 31:32Speaker 2: are never going to see the person that you just
- 31:35Speaker 2: chose to be with.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I think the same thing. I always like, oh here we.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Go, here I go, I will say at the wedding,
- 31:42Speaker 2: I talked to Charity about about the Dancing with the
- 31:46Speaker 2: Stars thing, and I told her because we Ben and
- 31:48Speaker 2: I interviewed her for the podcast and I said, I
- 31:53Speaker 2: was worried about you. I was worried about you and
- 31:55Speaker 2: Dutton because you went on the show right afterwards, and
- 31:59Speaker 2: it always worries me my little babies that you know,
- 32:03Speaker 2: you're not going to be able to be successful. And
- 32:07Speaker 2: they're so happy right now and he is amazing. I
- 32:10Speaker 2: love him, So I'm super cool. They got through the
- 32:17Speaker 2: you know, the rigormarole or the gauntlet, the gauntlet, the
- 32:22Speaker 2: Dancing with the Stars bontlet. Yeah, I'm really I'm happy
- 32:25Speaker 2: for them. But they were able to do that, and
- 32:27Speaker 2: sad for Rachel and Brian that they could work things out.
- 32:30Speaker 1: So yeah, well it's unfortunate. I mean, it really is,
- 32:34Speaker 1: but you know, there's there's definitely light at the end
- 32:37Speaker 1: of the tunnel, and and you know, thankfully we had
- 32:40Speaker 1: more happy stories to report in our hope today than
- 32:43Speaker 1: sad ones. So congratulations to everyone for all the babies
- 32:46Speaker 1: and all the good news there. And like you said,
- 32:49Speaker 1: we're so sorry for Rachel and for Brian, but hopefully
- 32:51Speaker 1: they have they have a pot of gold at the
- 32:55Speaker 1: end of the rainbow, so to speak, with the moving
- 32:57Speaker 1: on in their lives, and there's a lot of happiness
- 32:59Speaker 1: in store for them too. So yeah, anyway, that's what
- 33:02Speaker 1: we have today in our headlines for almost famous, not
- 33:06Speaker 1: just the ogs, but almost famous, almost famous, almost.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Famous, almost famous, almost famous. Yeah. I think that Ashley's
- 33:15Speaker 2: in Disney at Disney right now, which I know that you.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I think you've done Disney. Yeah, you've done Disney with
- 33:20Speaker 2: your kids a lot, actually a lot, but you know,
- 33:24Speaker 2: Disney's great great grandson or whatever.
- 33:26Speaker 1: I do. I do. I've only done it with Grayson.
- 33:28Speaker 1: We haven't done it with Blaker's yet, but really, yeah,
- 33:31Speaker 1: but Blake is in love with with Frozen, I mean
- 33:34Speaker 1: the movie Frozen, like it is oh my god, he'll
- 33:38Speaker 1: walk around like he'll speak let it go, okay.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Ohez, you have to be getting video of all that
- 33:44Speaker 2: you have.
- 33:44Speaker 1: We do, we do. He he's in love with Elsa
- 33:48Speaker 1: and he loves all off. And Grayson will be like Daddy,
- 33:52Speaker 1: he wants to watch Frozen again. I'm like, okay, thanks, buddy.
- 33:55Speaker 1: You know.
- 33:57Speaker 2: When we when we needed to start changing things up
- 33:59Speaker 2: because it was constant always on in the car, like
- 34:02Speaker 2: constantly on repeat. We changed so you can choose to
- 34:06Speaker 2: watch it in different languages.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I like it.
- 34:12Speaker 2: So now it probably you can actually learn another language
- 34:17Speaker 2: because he'll learn.
- 34:19Speaker 1: This could be helpful. This could be very Rosetta Stone exactly.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Give me version of Rosetta Stonetta Stone to the tune
- 34:28Speaker 2: of Frozen.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I like it. You can use all the help we
- 34:31Speaker 1: can get. No, you know, it's so funny because Grayson
- 34:33Speaker 1: is like our translator. He'll come over and they'll be like,
- 34:35Speaker 1: daddy Blake wants milk, and to be like, machim, Oh
- 34:38Speaker 1: that's what that's what milk is. Okay, gotcha. Yeah. If
- 34:42Speaker 1: it were for Grayson man, the four kid would starve
- 34:44Speaker 1: to death. I'm telling you, Oh that's cute.
- 34:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Anyway, I hope that Ashley is having a really
- 34:50Speaker 2: fun trip to Disney.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I do.
- 34:53Speaker 2: The memories from Disney vacations are just the best. Ben
- 34:57Speaker 2: is in Florida having the time of his life too,
- 35:01Speaker 2: playing golf, yes, which I know he loves. I think
- 35:05Speaker 2: Wells is out there too, probably Chris Harrison. I don't
- 35:07Speaker 2: know all the golfers.
- 35:08Speaker 1: They're all out there. They're out there, everyone except me,
- 35:11Speaker 1: once again not invited. But it's okay. It's okay because
- 35:17Speaker 1: I am invited next week, which I'm very very excited about.
- 35:22Speaker 2: So there you go.
- 35:24Speaker 1: What. No, I'm just I don't know. I'll be in
- 35:28Speaker 1: Florida next week. I'm going to Florida actually for a
- 35:30Speaker 1: work related thing for a week.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I thought you meant it was like an iHeart thing.
- 35:35Speaker 1: God not the next week. The week after I have
- 35:37Speaker 1: a golf event, so I'll be I'll be golfing in
- 35:40Speaker 1: two weeks.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Okay, Well that's good.
- 35:42Speaker 1: See you're not.
- 35:44Speaker 2: You don't get not invited to everything, right, I don't.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Get shunned from every public event. No, you know, it's funny.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I mean, I love golf, but I am not. I'm
- 35:56Speaker 1: not nearly as good as like Wells and Ben or
- 35:59Speaker 1: Chris Chris as a stick. So it's like when those
- 36:01Speaker 1: things come up and I'm like, oh my god, I
- 36:03Speaker 1: want to do it so bad. Part of me is
- 36:05Speaker 1: like I really want to be there, but the other
- 36:07Speaker 1: part of me is like do I because at the
- 36:09Speaker 1: end of the day, I really want to be you know,
- 36:12Speaker 1: seeing my name up on a big board like that
- 36:14Speaker 1: with my score.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you just want to go hang. It was like
- 36:19Speaker 2: at the wedding, all the boys except Rank because he
- 36:22Speaker 2: hates golf, went and played golf the day of the
- 36:27Speaker 2: wedding just to you know, go have fun. And it
- 36:29Speaker 2: was Palm Springs, so they all got their golf on.
- 36:32Speaker 2: But I think they also all got their drink on.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I would have be surprised by that. They usually go
- 36:38Speaker 1: hand in hand those two activities. Uh yeah, I happened.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I happen to be really good at the second activity
- 36:44Speaker 1: there and not so good at the first one.
- 36:45Speaker 2: So you know, yep, I get it. Awesome, Okay for listening,
- 36:53Speaker 2: Thanks for Ashley and Ben allowing us to engage space
- 36:57Speaker 2: and take over while you're gone. Yes, and until next time,
