- 0:44Speaker 4: We appreciate you pulling up on us man and then
- 0:47Speaker 4: and chopping it up with us for you. Ready to
- 0:50Speaker 4: get started?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah all right?
- 0:52Speaker 4: So first and foremost, where is little.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Kill from Saint Louis?
- 0:56Speaker 4: Okay? Born and raised?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 0:58Speaker 4: Okay, Now where did you start? Because I know we
- 1:01Speaker 4: were talking off camera. Did you start on social media?
- 1:05Speaker 4: But which one? YouTube? Instagram?
- 1:08Speaker 3: Nah? Like I started off like on Instagram okay for me,
- 1:12Speaker 3: Like before the music I had probably like forty thousand
- 1:14Speaker 3: followers already, and then like I started making like funny videos,
- 1:18Speaker 3: like putting music in with it, because I always did music,
- 1:22Speaker 3: but like I was doing like funny videos and that's
- 1:24Speaker 3: really went with viral first.
- 1:26Speaker 4: So you started going viral on all these different platforms. Now,
- 1:30Speaker 4: I'm assuming you get paid a lot on these platforms.
- 1:32Speaker 4: How many Instagram followers do you have?
- 1:33Speaker 3: Two point four million?
- 1:35Speaker 1: God damn man, you got two million subscribers too?
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yeah, like two point four million know on YouTube?
- 1:41Speaker 4: Two point four men subscribers on YouTube? Yeah, Now these
- 1:44Speaker 4: people are bought into lo keale as the artist, the rapper,
- 1:51Speaker 4: the person.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It just depends on whatever they follow me on. Like
- 1:54Speaker 3: I'm a different person on every single social media for me.
- 1:58Speaker 3: So like Instagram be on some like funny like you
- 2:03Speaker 3: fear me, Like YouTube will be on some music and
- 2:07Speaker 3: like TikTok, I just be doing whatever. Yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 1: So where did the name little Kill come from? Because
- 2:13Speaker 1: that's not your real name.
- 2:14Speaker 3: H No, Like it's my middle name.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Okay, your middle name is little Kell.
- 2:19Speaker 3: My middle name is mid Keill. Oh yeah, I love
- 2:23Speaker 3: you just like I don't know. I feel like at
- 2:26Speaker 3: the time when I did, I was young, so like
- 2:28Speaker 3: it was like the l I L was popping. But
- 2:31Speaker 3: then I really just feel like el.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Uh Okay, yeah, that's how y'all talking to.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Lou Yeah, it kind of like when I take my
- 2:38Speaker 3: homeboys and somebody be like, what's up, little bro? Like,
- 2:40Speaker 3: but I'd be like, elu h you feel me? So
- 2:42Speaker 3: I just put that on my name.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Now from from Saint Louis? Who were who inspired you
- 2:48Speaker 1: to do music? Because I know you was in like
- 2:50Speaker 1: a group.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we had a group. Okay, it was the name
- 2:53Speaker 3: of the group Project X. That sounds kind of like
- 2:57Speaker 3: the like the movie, but like we spilled it like
- 2:59Speaker 3: a look different because because every time you would type
- 3:02Speaker 3: our name in like the movie will pop up, so
- 3:05Speaker 3: we like change the way we named it. But yeah,
- 3:08Speaker 3: so what made.
- 3:08Speaker 1: You go solo? Whyle y'all didn't see together.
- 3:10Speaker 3: The manager like he wanted us to sing like Jackson
- 3:14Speaker 3: five all the time, but we wanted to be rappers,
- 3:17Speaker 3: like you mind you We were from the city, so
- 3:19Speaker 3: we're doing shows in different places like with all these kids,
- 3:22Speaker 3: and like every time we went, like we had all
- 3:25Speaker 3: these childish songs, like we wanted to turn up you
- 3:27Speaker 3: feel me? So like it just we wanted to be
- 3:30Speaker 3: you wanted to cuss, not necessarily cuss though.
- 3:33Speaker 1: They wasn't like the button up good boys.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Yeah, like like they was trying to make us like
- 3:39Speaker 3: look like you feel me like they had up there
- 3:41Speaker 3: they had us seeing kids about we want to sing
- 3:44Speaker 3: like migos, you see what I'm saying. So it just
- 3:46Speaker 3: was a difference in what we wanted to do and
- 3:48Speaker 3: what they wanted us to do.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So so they were trying to play a'll like but
- 3:51Speaker 1: boys to men and y'all were like.
- 3:52Speaker 3: We jo to f bro, we ain't there like we
- 3:55Speaker 3: sliding and snapping like for real, we want to jump
- 3:58Speaker 3: you feel me?
- 3:59Speaker 4: So for someone, Now, how did you grow your two
- 4:03Speaker 4: million followers on YouTube?
- 4:05Speaker 5: Like?
- 4:05Speaker 4: How do you? How does something like this grow?
- 4:08Speaker 3: Do you?
- 4:08Speaker 4: It? Just cause some people are really working hard to
- 4:11Speaker 4: trying to get YouTube subscribers and you just have them.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Uh, I don't know. I feel like you just come
- 4:19Speaker 3: Like I feel like you just be yourself. You see
- 4:21Speaker 3: what I'm saying, Stay consistent, do whatever you're doing, but
- 4:24Speaker 3: be different, you know what I'm saying. I feel like
- 4:26Speaker 3: that was the biggest thing with me, Like I was
- 4:27Speaker 3: always different. I never wanted to be the dude in
- 4:30Speaker 3: the back. Just you know what I'm saying like I
- 4:32Speaker 3: never wanted to be there. I always wanted to be
- 4:34Speaker 3: like outgoing and be different. I was never a rap,
- 4:36Speaker 3: I was a singer. You know what I'm saying, Like
- 4:38Speaker 3: I just did everything different. So I guess like people
- 4:40Speaker 3: just gravitate towards that.
- 4:42Speaker 1: So going back real quick to when you left the
- 4:45Speaker 1: group and with Solo, you know Tori's point about the YouTube.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Once you left the group, how did you, you know,
- 4:52Speaker 1: view your career, Like how'd you start?
- 4:54Speaker 3: Well, like we had a manager, we was in a group,
- 4:56Speaker 3: and then like another manager had came with an opportunity
- 4:59Speaker 3: from La. So I'm like, y'all, I'm ready to take
- 5:03Speaker 3: this deal. What y'all want to do? You feel me?
- 5:06Speaker 3: And like two of my homeboys didn't take the deal.
- 5:09Speaker 3: It was four of us, so two of them didn't
- 5:10Speaker 3: take the deal. One of them did, so it was
- 5:12Speaker 3: like a two waight group. But he had like an
- 5:14Speaker 3: attitude problem at the time that he was young, so
- 5:16Speaker 3: he was like always mad. So they was like, yo,
- 5:19Speaker 3: like we can't deal with a little dude attitude, Like
- 5:23Speaker 3: it's just you. I'm like, bed, you feel me?
- 5:26Speaker 1: Now you got your deal? What happens next? Did they
- 5:29Speaker 1: say you need to build your online presence.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Nah, Like it wasn't even nothing like that, like really
- 5:35Speaker 3: like they just had me in the studio, you feel me,
- 5:37Speaker 3: but the crazy party is none of that worked out.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I had moved to LA when I was like fifteen
- 5:43Speaker 3: for like six months, but nothing out there worked out.
- 5:47Speaker 3: So I had moved back and went back to school.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And then when I did that, like music wasn't even
- 5:52Speaker 3: like on my mind for it was more so school.
- 5:55Speaker 3: And I just was already had like a certain amount
- 5:58Speaker 3: of followers from me being in a group already, you
- 6:01Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. So I just started making funny
- 6:02Speaker 3: videos just pop.
- 6:03Speaker 4: You were you were? You were always a popular person. Question.
- 6:08Speaker 4: So I first heard of you when you were in
- 6:12Speaker 4: a relationship with somebody, right, So did you start and
- 6:16Speaker 4: I'm talking about Famous Ocean? Uh you started the YouTube
- 6:20Speaker 4: with her?
- 6:21Speaker 3: Or no, we started, we started a YouTube, but like
- 6:25Speaker 3: we don't feel like that was Yeah, it was separate
- 6:27Speaker 3: from anything I had going on.
- 6:29Speaker 4: So you you had your individual YouTube and yeah, okay.
- 6:32Speaker 3: I think when I was dealing with her, like I
- 6:35Speaker 3: already had one point nine me and subscribers or something
- 6:39Speaker 3: like that. Okay, wow, yeah, so at the time I
- 6:42Speaker 3: was already.
- 6:43Speaker 4: You was already up. Yeah okay, okay, so you was
- 6:46Speaker 4: already up before that. Now I see that you are
- 6:48Speaker 4: in a relationship now yeah, baby on the way yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 4: or it was the baby here yet.
- 6:53Speaker 3: On the way on the way. I didn't know you
- 6:54Speaker 3: knew that that was okay.
- 6:56Speaker 4: And he didn't research. Congratulations. You know what you guys
- 7:01Speaker 4: are having?
- 7:01Speaker 3: Oh boy?
- 7:02Speaker 5: Yeah, look.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Now what we do is having this is your first kid.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah, and you're you're very you know, you're only twenty one.
- 7:12Speaker 3: You think that you know you have a kid, Yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 3: definitely real.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I feel like, you know, you still have things that
- 7:17Speaker 4: you need to accomplish. Correct me if I'm wrong. However, do
- 7:21Speaker 4: you think that you're ready.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Mentally? Your father mentally? Yeah, I don't know, like like
- 7:28Speaker 3: time wise, it might be a little hard, but what's
- 7:31Speaker 3: what's life without a challenge?
- 7:33Speaker 4: Now? Who's this young lady? Who is she?
- 7:35Speaker 3: My girlfriend?
- 7:37Speaker 4: I mean like she is she also big on the
- 7:40Speaker 4: social media?
- 7:42Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:42Speaker 4: What's her name?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Her name is Samaje Leslie.
- 7:45Speaker 4: That's just what you said.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Look, you know exactly.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Now, how does your parents are your parents in your life?
- 7:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:55Speaker 4: Okay, so when you start making all this type of
- 7:57Speaker 4: money from social media. I know sometimes parents could be like, Okay,
- 8:00Speaker 4: what is this? What are you doing? And then now
- 8:03Speaker 4: you have a baby, like how are your parents perceptive
- 8:07Speaker 4: to you and your career and your new families that's
- 8:10Speaker 4: coming that's about to be.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I mean.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Really just supportive for real, Okay, there't really nothing like
- 8:18Speaker 3: they don't really ask me too much about it. They
- 8:20Speaker 3: don't really get into the business for real. They just
- 8:22Speaker 3: be my family and it's just that, you know, they
- 8:25Speaker 3: feel like you're grown and yeah, I just do what
- 8:27Speaker 3: I do.
- 8:28Speaker 5: Okay, we'll be right back with more of The Baller
- 8:31Speaker 5: Alert Show. You're listening to a special edition of The
- 8:41Speaker 5: Baller Alert Show.
- 8:42Speaker 3: What's up your eyes? Look kim Man, make sure y'all
- 8:44Speaker 3: like comments, subscribe, let me know what y'all think about
- 8:47Speaker 3: the interview to talk and just let me know. Man, Gang, you're.
- 8:50Speaker 1: A new project, just dropped the head Melodies tape. What
- 8:53Speaker 1: was the grind to get that project done? Because you
- 8:55Speaker 1: had Wrong one hundred and seventy five million views so
- 8:58Speaker 1: far on YouTube, Like that is massive. The reception for
- 9:02Speaker 1: Wrong is it's pretty high for sure. How'd you feel
- 9:04Speaker 1: when that when that drop?
- 9:06Speaker 3: I was excited for real, just like you know, like
- 9:10Speaker 3: I never really got overwhelmed for real. I always was
- 9:14Speaker 3: just in the moment for real, just like accepting what's
- 9:17Speaker 3: coming to me. You know what I'm saying. It's definitely
- 9:19Speaker 3: just a blessing for real.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Did you expect that record to be so big for you?
- 9:23Speaker 4: Nah?
- 9:23Speaker 3: I didn't expect it to go that crazy. It was
- 9:25Speaker 3: already gaining, like video from videos on like Instagram and
- 9:28Speaker 3: stuff like that was gaining, But I didn't think it
- 9:30Speaker 3: was gonna be like old platinum and plaques and all that.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Seven on the R and B hip hop charts.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you're doing a great job show, but like are
- 9:42Speaker 4: you It looks like you're you're doing it. It's like
- 9:46Speaker 4: this is nothing.
- 9:48Speaker 3: I just feel like I got so much more in store,
- 9:50Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, Like I'm excited.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Seems very easy to you.
- 9:56Speaker 1: So you've been working since you you know, and you
- 9:58Speaker 1: know you've been doing music for a long time.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I wouldn't necessarily say it's easy. It's just this
- 10:05Speaker 3: is what I always wanted to do.
- 10:07Speaker 4: So it's like make it look easy, my brother.
- 10:08Speaker 3: You got to you feel me. I feel like if
- 10:11Speaker 3: you're trying too hard, then it might not be in
- 10:13Speaker 3: for you. You feel me?
- 10:15Speaker 1: How did that record wrong change your life?
- 10:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 10:17Speaker 3: Because I was popular, but I wouldn't like famous is
- 10:22Speaker 3: what people say? You know what I'm saying, Like I
- 10:25Speaker 3: start going to malls and different cities and people knowing
- 10:28Speaker 3: me and like you feel me like everywhere. You know
- 10:30Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 10:31Speaker 1: So did you start getting treated different by hu though people?
- 10:35Speaker 1: Did you get special privileges? Like did you wet? Girls
- 10:38Speaker 1: say they get well famous l YB say they get
- 10:41Speaker 1: like special privileges, they get free things.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Oh yeah yeah, so being a celebrity, yeah, I mean
- 10:48Speaker 3: that people wanted to like post that stuff. So I mean,
- 10:50Speaker 3: I guess it's kind of like a trade, you know.
- 10:53Speaker 3: But yeah, you definitely get a lot of free stuff.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I noticed that. It's kind of weird though, because you
- 10:58Speaker 3: gotta think, like, now that I'm making money, you're giving
- 11:01Speaker 3: me free stuff. But like yeah, when people without the
- 11:03Speaker 3: money they gotta pay. That's crazy.
- 11:05Speaker 1: That's there.
- 11:06Speaker 4: I mean, that's just how it go though.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I guess that's life.
- 11:09Speaker 4: So what's next for you? Like, what are your goals now?
- 11:12Speaker 3: Growing? You know what I'm saying. Everything, like in every
- 11:16Speaker 3: aspect shows, music platforms, everything, personally, mentally, everything. Just want
- 11:23Speaker 3: to grow. The head Melodies tape, Yeah, that's that's definitely
- 11:27Speaker 3: a big one right now, trying to really push that
- 11:29Speaker 3: out there. We already did over a million streams in
- 11:34Speaker 3: the first few days, you know what I'm saying, So
- 11:36Speaker 3: two million streams actually in the first few days.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Would there be a tour coming up with that or Oh?
- 11:42Speaker 3: I wouldn't probably say with the tape because it's just
- 11:44Speaker 3: a mixtape. I didn't really treat it like an album.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I really want to focus on the music first before
- 11:50Speaker 3: really prepare myself to really just hit the rod like
- 11:53Speaker 3: as in people and stuff like that.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, you mentioned, you know, you reaching success financially. What
- 12:01Speaker 1: what's some of the things that you have you had
- 12:03Speaker 1: a chance to really ball out.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I done bought like so much stuff, Like I bought
- 12:08Speaker 3: so many cars and Jerry.
- 12:11Speaker 4: I see god damn different vibes only.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I'm saying, shine for what's the.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Biggest purchase though, like something I'm proud of.
- 12:24Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know. I like studio, did
- 12:28Speaker 3: you studio? Yeah?
- 12:30Speaker 4: Okay, that's fire.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, that's probably like the main thing that because it
- 12:35Speaker 3: allowed me to work. Feel me.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Did you, you know, buy your mama house or or
- 12:40Speaker 1: your parents.
- 12:40Speaker 3: I ain't bought my mama house yet because like the
- 12:43Speaker 3: way I'm trying to do it, Like I'm gonna buy
- 12:44Speaker 3: like like a bunch of land and I'm gonna build
- 12:47Speaker 3: it from the ground up exactly how you want it.
- 12:51Speaker 3: So I'm gonna do it a certain way, Okay, paring
- 12:54Speaker 3: for it.
- 12:55Speaker 1: What's some of the things that you learned so far
- 12:57Speaker 1: being in the industry.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Don't get caught up in it. That's the main thing.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Like it's a lot to go on in the industry,
- 13:05Speaker 3: you feel me, and you just gotta know how to
- 13:07Speaker 3: separate yourself and not get too caught in the limelight.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So for younger up and coming artists, like what do
- 13:13Speaker 1: you advise them to do, you know, going in the
- 13:16Speaker 1: path of you know, trying to be a star.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Growing in the path or trying to be a star.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Just say, be consistent, you know what I'm saying. That's
- 13:23Speaker 3: the main thing. Always staying consistent, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Treat it like it's a business. You feel me, just
- 13:32Speaker 3: and I was just saying, like, don't just treat it
- 13:34Speaker 3: like it's fun. You gotta treat it like a business.
- 13:36Speaker 3: Everything you do is business.
- 13:38Speaker 5: We'll be right by. Stay tuned with more of The
- 13:40Speaker 5: Baller Alert Show. You're listening to a special edition of
- 13:50Speaker 5: The Baller Alert Show. What's up your eyes?

- 13:58Speaker 3: and just let me know man game now.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Mentally, how are you? Because I know sometimes you could
- 14:06Speaker 4: have a bad day. So if little Calle has a
- 14:10Speaker 4: bad day, what do you do? Who do you talk to?
- 14:12Speaker 4: How do you overcome being a regular human being having
- 14:16Speaker 4: a bad day? I don't know, do you have bad days?
- 14:21Speaker 4: I don't know if I really have bad You look
- 14:23Speaker 4: very happy all the time.
- 14:24Speaker 3: I kind of like, just like if I ever was
- 14:26Speaker 3: like going through something or something like that, Like I
- 14:28Speaker 3: just really like keep doing what I'm doing. You feel
- 14:32Speaker 3: me getting my mind off of crazy stuff? You feel
- 14:35Speaker 3: me you talk.
- 14:36Speaker 1: To your mom or your your girlfriend.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Crazy part of it, Like I don't. I don't really
- 14:41Speaker 3: do all that because I don't be looking for sympathy.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I feel like when you talk about certain stuff, like
- 14:45Speaker 3: people give sympathy and I don't really like all that,
- 14:48Speaker 3: Like I woke up this morning, I'm excited for that.
- 14:51Speaker 1: You practice gratitude when you're feeling ungrateful, you just be like,
- 14:54Speaker 1: well look at where I'm at.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Got to accept it. I mean it's life like life,
- 14:59Speaker 3: not feel to be he just in cream for you
- 15:02Speaker 3: know what I'm saying? Like that mentality?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Yeah, well, had Melodies is out right now, what's your
- 15:07Speaker 1: favorite song off the other tape?
- 15:10Speaker 3: I don't think I got a favorite song, God because
- 15:13Speaker 3: I made him. You feel me, It's like it's my
- 15:15Speaker 3: creat like my creativity. But I could definitely say probably
- 15:19Speaker 3: like my the main song here Melodies with a boogie
- 15:21Speaker 3: on it, just because like a boogie a legend, you
- 15:24Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, just growing up listening to a boogie.
- 15:27Speaker 1: What's your What you want your audience to take away
- 15:30Speaker 1: from the album from the mixtape?
- 15:33Speaker 3: Just take away that this this is me, Like I
