- 0:00Speaker 1: Off the Bench. We have to Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:05Speaker 1: The plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Got to come off the bench.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Raising
- 0:12Speaker 1: Kine Studio.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Welcome in our number two, a Tuesday edition of Off
- 0:43Speaker 2: the Bench. Taylor Sharpiluandravil, Rial, Braxton, Risuto all hanging out
- 0:47Speaker 2: with you here this morning. We're busy Hour number one
- 0:51Speaker 2: talking a lot of baseball, mean Lundra kind of broke
- 0:53Speaker 2: down hunts five bold predictions for the Yellow Shoe baseball season,
- 0:56Speaker 2: how they hold up after the first weekend, and we
- 0:58Speaker 2: took a look back at the action last night on
- 1:01Speaker 2: the diamond as LSU takes down the Kent State Golden
- 1:03Speaker 2: Flashes by a score of ten to seven. Right now,
- 1:07Speaker 2: I want to pivot a little bit, just for one
- 1:10Speaker 2: segment to LSU football because LSU Tigers on SI put
- 1:15Speaker 2: out an article of Catholic KI running back Jaden Miles
- 1:19Speaker 2: leaning towards the LSU Tigers. Now shouldn't come as a
- 1:22Speaker 2: huge surprise. LSU does really well with Catholic high and
- 1:25Speaker 2: Jade Miles number one running back in the state of Louisiana.
- 1:28Speaker 2: So it may not come to a surprise to you
- 1:30Speaker 2: that you know, LSU's on his radar. He's on Las
- 1:33Speaker 2: Shoes radar. He's right down the road. He's six ft two,
- 1:37Speaker 2: he's two hundred pounds. He offers from every SEC school
- 1:40Speaker 2: you can think of, I mean Auburn, Oklahoma, Alabama, and
- 1:44Speaker 2: even even some teams in Texas, Houston Cougar's, Texas Tech
- 1:47Speaker 2: Red Raiders. You know, he's looking at a lot of
- 1:50Speaker 2: different schools. Well, last Friday, Sam Spiegelman of Rivals officially
- 1:56Speaker 2: put in his prediction for the LSU Tigers. Now, look,
- 1:59Speaker 2: I get it, it's a little bit down the road.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Things can change, but this makes a lot of sense,
- 2:04Speaker 2: and it's because of Lane Kiffin. Look at some of
- 2:08Speaker 2: the running backs under Lane Kiffen and how they performed.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I mean twenty fifteen when Lane Kiffin was the offensive
- 2:15Speaker 2: coordinator at Alabama, Derrick Henry three hundred and ninety five carries,
- 2:20Speaker 2: two hundred and nineteen yards, twenty eight touchdowns, and oh yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 2: Derick Henry took home the Heisman Trophy that season. Even
- 2:28Speaker 2: even after and you know, twenty sixteen, they had a
- 2:31Speaker 2: good year, but it was a mixture of guys Jalen
- 2:33Speaker 2: Hurts a quarterback. You had Josh Jacobs, Damian Harris, a
- 2:38Speaker 2: lot of those guys, so not all of them had
- 2:40Speaker 2: eye popping numbers, but Alabama still ran the ball really effectively.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Back in twenty sixteen. It was just three or four
- 2:46Speaker 2: different guys and not one monster like you saw at
- 2:49Speaker 2: Derrick Henry running for over two thousand yards. Lane kiffn
- 2:53Speaker 2: gets to call up to Florida Atlantic to be their
- 2:56Speaker 2: head coach. In twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen, he had
- 3:00Speaker 2: Devin Singletary as his starting running back. Who's been a
- 3:02Speaker 2: really good player in the NFL. You know, I mean
- 3:05Speaker 2: he's never been at an all pro level, but just
- 3:07Speaker 2: a solid professional running back is Devin Singletary. His first
- 3:13Speaker 2: year at Florida Atlantic, without Lane Kiffin, he had one
- 3:19Speaker 2: thousand yards twelve touchdowns, really good, really good numbers. But
- 3:24Speaker 2: when Lane Kiffin got there in twenty seventeen, three hundred
- 3:28Speaker 2: and one carries, nineteen hundred yards rushing and thirty two touchdowns.
- 3:34Speaker 2: He also added another two hundred receiving. Followed it up
- 3:39Speaker 2: the next year twenty eighteen, thirteen hundred yards rushing, twenty
- 3:43Speaker 2: two touchdowns Lane Kiffen loves to run the football. I
- 3:48Speaker 2: mean I just gave you multiple examples, but it goes
- 3:50Speaker 2: beyond that. Look at quin Shawn Judkins at Ole Miss.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I mean you saw what quin Shawn did his rookie
- 3:57Speaker 2: year with the Browns. He was really, really good. He
- 3:59Speaker 2: finished with about eight ndred yards rushing. He missed a
- 4:01Speaker 2: couple games. Look at quin Shawn Jugkins at Old Miss
- 4:06Speaker 2: twenty twenty two, fifteen hundred yards rushing, sixteen touchdowns, average
- 4:11Speaker 2: five point seven yards per carrey. And he did it
- 4:15Speaker 2: again the next year eleven hundred yards, eleven hundred and
- 4:19Speaker 2: fifty eight fifteen touchdowns and again hovering around two hundred
- 4:23Speaker 2: yards receiving both of those years. Lane Kiffen loves to
- 4:27Speaker 2: run the football. Look at some of the offenses that
- 4:31Speaker 2: he struggled in and some of the whenever he lost
- 4:34Speaker 2: a big game at Old Miss, he would always go
- 4:35Speaker 2: to the podium and Jake mentions it here all the
- 4:38Speaker 2: time because Jake talked to him at SEC spring meetings,
- 4:40Speaker 2: and going into this past year, we said we lost
- 4:44Speaker 2: to LSU in Depth Valley two years ago because we
- 4:47Speaker 2: couldn't run the football and in the fourth quarter we
- 4:49Speaker 2: kept having to throw it. A lot of people look
- 4:53Speaker 2: at the lane Kiffin offense and think, oh, it's a
- 4:56Speaker 2: spread attack, it's up tempo, Lane Kiffin's gonna throw the
- 4:58Speaker 2: ball forty five fifty times a game. But that's just
- 5:03Speaker 2: not the case. That's that's never been Lane Kiffin. Lane
- 5:07Speaker 2: Kiffin has always prided himself on his offense and his
- 5:10Speaker 2: team's ability to run the football. Look at Kawan Lacy
- 5:15Speaker 2: just last season. Kawan Lacy three hundred and six carries,
- 5:21Speaker 2: one hundred and sixty seven yards, twenty four touchdowns, and
- 5:23Speaker 2: he caught a heck of a lot of balls coming
- 5:25Speaker 2: out of the backfield as well. When Lane Kiffin has
- 5:28Speaker 2: a stud running back, he uses them. It's the workhorse.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I mean, he had three hundred carries. Devin Singletary had
- 5:34Speaker 2: three hundred carries his first year under lane Kiffen. Derek
- 5:37Speaker 2: Henry had almost four hundred carries in twenty fifteen three
- 5:41Speaker 2: ninety five. There's a lot to like if you're a
- 5:44Speaker 2: running back about the Lane Kiffin offense. It's, in my opinion,
- 5:48Speaker 2: a big reason why you were able to get Harlem
- 5:51Speaker 2: Berry and Caden Durham back. I remember Kayden Durham entered
- 5:54Speaker 2: the transfer portal and there were a lot of people
- 5:56Speaker 2: that said, Kiffin's gonna bring in Kawan Lacy and you're
- 5:59Speaker 2: gonna lose Harlan Barry. You're gonna lose Cayden Durham. Now,
- 6:03Speaker 2: you lost Caleb Jackson, but Caleb Jackson was kind of
- 6:05Speaker 2: your fourth runner this year because Barry emerged. You knew
- 6:09Speaker 2: Cayden Durham was at least going to be the number
- 6:11Speaker 2: one guy to start the season because of how he
- 6:14Speaker 2: finished his freshman year, and then Juwan Johnson stepped up
- 6:17Speaker 2: in fall camp. So yes, you lost Caleb Jackson, but
- 6:20Speaker 2: Caleb Jackson was your number four. Anyways, it didn't matter
- 6:23Speaker 2: quite as much. You were able to get Harlan Berry
- 6:27Speaker 2: and Caden Durham back because Lank Kiffin is now your
- 6:31Speaker 2: head coach and what he is able to do running
- 6:33Speaker 2: the football. I mean when I look at Harlan Berry
- 6:36Speaker 2: four ninety one last year on the ground really came
- 6:39Speaker 2: on strong in the back half of the year. The
- 6:42Speaker 2: sky is the limit for Harlan Burry in this offense,
- 6:44Speaker 2: because I fully expect him to be RB one at
- 6:47Speaker 2: least going into Game one against Clemson, Caydenduram's gonna have
- 6:50Speaker 2: a role. We talk about it a lot on this ship.
- 6:55Speaker 2: These running backs are so talented that behind this poor
- 6:58Speaker 2: offensive line, with poor coaching, an awful running scheme where
- 7:02Speaker 2: you basically ran an rpo every play and the alignman
- 7:05Speaker 2: could not get to the second level. Caden Durham and
- 7:07Speaker 2: Harlan Barry both each ran for over four yards per
- 7:11Speaker 2: carry last year. At one point in the season, Kaden
- 7:14Speaker 2: Durham had five yards per carrie until about the halfway point,
- 7:17Speaker 2: but they both still got over four yards per carry.
- 7:21Speaker 2: It's because of Lane Kiffin. Mix in a running back
- 7:24Speaker 2: like Sam Levitt, who, if fully healthy, he showed his
- 7:27Speaker 2: ability to run the football. I mean, a lot of
- 7:29Speaker 2: people forget how athletic Sam Levitt is because yes, he
- 7:32Speaker 2: was hurt last year. I get that he played in
- 7:35Speaker 2: four games for the Sun Devils. But when Sam Levit's
- 7:39Speaker 2: fully healthy, he can run the ball as well. I mean,
- 7:43Speaker 2: look at what he did two years ago when he
- 7:46Speaker 2: was at Arizona State. Played in thirteen games, four and
- 7:50Speaker 2: forty three yard rushing, five rushing touchdowns, four yards per carry.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Even last year in seven games, three hundred yard rushing,
- 7:58Speaker 2: five touchdowns four point two. AKA, you mix Sam Levitt
- 8:02Speaker 2: with Caden Durham and Harlem Berry, and this offense is
- 8:06Speaker 2: going to be built around throwing the football. I know
- 8:08Speaker 2: LSU signed a billion receivers in the transfer portal. We
- 8:12Speaker 2: talked about the three talented freshman yesterday that you have
- 8:14Speaker 2: coming in, But make no mistake about it, this offensi's
- 8:17Speaker 2: identity is going to be running the football. And I'm
- 8:21Speaker 2: not saying they're going to get Jaden Miles out of Catholica.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Jade Miles has a lot of options. He's going to
- 8:26Speaker 2: go where he thinks best fits him. But really, any
- 8:29Speaker 2: running back that steps foot in this offense, I believe
- 8:32Speaker 2: is going to have success because you have the best
- 8:34Speaker 2: offensive mine in college football. I truly believe that. And
- 8:37Speaker 2: then with Charlie Wise junior call in the plays, there's
- 8:39Speaker 2: so much familiarity between him and Lane Kiffen. Any running
- 8:43Speaker 2: back would be hard pressed to find a better situation
- 8:45Speaker 2: than the one LSU is going to provide for them.
- 8:48Speaker 2: And that's why even with Harlem Berry, even with Caden Durham,
- 8:51Speaker 2: you added three running backs in the transfer portal. Now
- 8:54Speaker 2: they look like depth pieces, but Dylan Jones from Wisconsin.
- 8:58Speaker 2: He put up solid numbers last year. He began the
- 9:01Speaker 2: season for Wisconsin as the starting running back. Now he
- 9:04Speaker 2: ultimately got passed up, but he was a guy that
- 9:06Speaker 2: played in big time games for He came here knowing
- 9:09Speaker 2: that you had two returning running backs. Guys like Jade
- 9:13Speaker 2: Miles are going to do the same thing. It doesn't
- 9:15Speaker 2: necessarily have to be Jade Miles. But I mean when
- 9:18Speaker 2: you look at this offense again, like what Lane Kiffin
- 9:22Speaker 2: has done throughout the years, Derrick Henry wins the Heisman Trophy,
- 9:26Speaker 2: Devin Singletary back to back twelve hundred yard plus seasons.
- 9:31Speaker 2: He's still playing in the NFL. Quin John Jenkins elite
- 9:36Speaker 2: college career. Yes, he transferred to Ohio State to win
- 9:39Speaker 2: a national championship, got drafted in the second round. But
- 9:43Speaker 2: if qwen John Jenkins doesn't get hurt last year, who
- 9:45Speaker 2: knows me he's holding up that Rookie of the Year
- 9:46Speaker 2: trophy and not Ted Roan McMillan. And we know about
- 9:50Speaker 2: Kawan Lacy. Everybody in the country wanted Kawan Lacy if
- 9:54Speaker 2: he was going to enter the portal and Old Mills
- 9:55Speaker 2: probably had to pay a pretty penny to keep him
- 9:57Speaker 2: in Oxford. There's a pattern in there. There's one constant,
- 10:02Speaker 2: Derrick Henry six three two forty, Devin Singletary a little
- 10:06Speaker 2: bit on the smaller side, Kawan Lacy known as more
- 10:08Speaker 2: of a receiving back before he got the ole Miss Judkins,
- 10:13Speaker 2: the downhill runner. All of these guys had kind of
- 10:17Speaker 2: different skill sets, but all of them succeeded in the
- 10:20Speaker 2: Lane Kiffin offense, whether it's Jade Miles, whether it's another
- 10:24Speaker 2: top running back. Like yeah, Sam Spiekerman logged his pick
- 10:27Speaker 2: for LSU to to get Jade Miles. It makes a
- 10:31Speaker 2: lot of sense. I think you're gonna see LSU continue
- 10:35Speaker 2: to get these top tier running backs. Like everyone wanted
- 10:37Speaker 2: to talk about the quarterback position with Lane Kiffin, I
- 10:40Speaker 2: don't have to worry about the quarterback position. Lane Kiffin's
- 10:43Speaker 2: who went to land a top quarterback, And you're probably
- 10:45Speaker 2: right because he has a quarterback friendly system, but running
- 10:49Speaker 2: back as well. He uses them a lot. They're all
- 10:52Speaker 2: effective in his offense. And you can see going down
- 10:54Speaker 2: the list of guys Henry Singletary, Judkins, Kawan Lacey, it
- 10:58Speaker 2: works for a lot of different type of running backs.
- 11:01Speaker 2: You're not always gonna have a guy that's a perfect
- 11:03Speaker 2: fit for your scheme. Recruitings fickle like that. You could
- 11:07Speaker 2: be targeting a guy and he can flip somewhere else
- 11:08Speaker 2: last minute. You got to bring in a guy. Lane
- 11:11Speaker 2: Kiffin is an innovative enough offensive mind to overcome that.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So I think whether it's Miles, whether it's other top
- 11:16Speaker 2: running backs, you're gonna see a lot of this in
- 11:19Speaker 2: the future as far as LSU being in the running
- 11:22Speaker 2: for some of these top running backs throughout the high
- 11:23Speaker 2: school football. All right, we're going to take a time out.
- 11:26Speaker 2: When we get back, get your questions in the YouTube chat.

- 13:40Speaker 4: they're gonna have their own stuff there. But when we
- 13:42Speaker 4: say Louisiana, they're in more than just Louisiana.
- 13:45Speaker 3: Across the Gulf coast.
- 13:46Speaker 4: We just went to one Inmobile, Alabama a couple of
- 13:49Speaker 4: weeks ago when we were down there for the Senior Ball.
- 13:51Speaker 4: So again, find that location nearest you.
- 13:53Speaker 3: How do you do that? You go to Rouses dot.

- 14:05Speaker 2: All right, welcome back in Tuesday edition of OTB. Tayler
- 14:08Speaker 2: Sharpy with the Elandra Villarriale Braxton Risuto as well. Okay,
- 14:13Speaker 2: we do it every Tuesday around this time. Let's get
- 14:16Speaker 2: into a little OTB mailbag. I help this special delivery
- 14:21Speaker 2: for doctor bench and look it is marked most urgent.
- 14:23Speaker 3: We'll be writing to you the internet. What the is
- 14:27Speaker 3: the internet?
- 14:38Speaker 2: All right? Hashtag mailbag? So this first one's actually going
- 14:41Speaker 2: to be for a Landra because I am not Catholic. Braxton,
- 14:45Speaker 2: if you're Catholic, feel free to jump in as well.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Are you giving up anything for the Lenten season? So
- 14:51Speaker 2: it ain't gonna be Doctor Pepper.
- 14:52Speaker 6: We know that Doctor Pepper was hard, but what I'm
- 14:55Speaker 6: thinking about giving up is even harder, and it would
- 14:58Speaker 6: include Dr Pepper, But I I don't.
- 15:00Speaker 7: Know if I can do it. Okay, thinking about giving
- 15:04Speaker 7: up caffeine.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Like all together.
- 15:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I know this is someone that drinks a quad
- 15:10Speaker 6: espresso every single morning.
- 15:13Speaker 7: It's gonna be hard. I basically can only drink water.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think there's some rubers that don't have caffeine.
- 15:22Speaker 2: I think, I think, I think that's right. What about Sprite?
- 15:28Speaker 2: I don't, Okay, well then you you have sprite?
- 15:30Speaker 6: Then that's a big I don't know if I can
- 15:34Speaker 6: do it, Like, I just don't want to set myself
- 15:36Speaker 6: up for failure. But I also feel like, you know,
- 15:40Speaker 6: if Jesus sacrificed his life from me, I can sacrifice
- 15:44Speaker 6: some caffeine for forty days.
- 15:47Speaker 2: This is the one of the moments every year where
- 15:50Speaker 2: I realize I'm not tough enough to be Catholic.
- 15:53Speaker 6: I'm not.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I know, I know. I told my mom. I'm like, hey,
- 15:59Speaker 2: that's funny for this, for this this reason, thank you.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Because I couldn't do it. I would fail every year.
- 16:06Speaker 2: It's the same reason why I never set a New
- 16:09Speaker 2: Year's Eve resolution or New Year's resolution, because in two
- 16:12Speaker 2: weeks I'm gonna be done. I'm not gonna do it.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I am I'm I'm weak when it comes to stuff
- 16:16Speaker 2: like that. I'm not gonna be able to follow through.
- 16:18Speaker 7: But I did the note doctor Pepper last year, and
- 16:21Speaker 7: that was hard.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Guys. She would come in some mornings with like a
- 16:23Speaker 2: junkie itch. She'd like, y'all got any more of them
- 16:26Speaker 2: Doctor Peppers.
- 16:27Speaker 6: And then the last one that I had before Lynt
- 16:29Speaker 6: was a regular one because y'all know I drink the zeros, right,
- 16:33Speaker 6: But I had a regular one. And then whenever I
- 16:36Speaker 6: like got one after lint was over, it was a
- 16:38Speaker 6: regular one in a can.
- 16:41Speaker 2: The cams are the best. There is nothing better ice.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Cold can Doctor Pepper, and it was the best Doctor
- 16:47Speaker 6: pepper i'd ever.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Had, by the way, I was looking for you the
- 16:49Speaker 2: other day. I showed a hunt. I tried the first
- 16:53Speaker 2: floor in the first floor kitchen vinie machine. Yeah, ice cold,
- 16:57Speaker 2: really ice cold. Tried it last week.
- 16:59Speaker 7: It used to be hot.
- 17:00Speaker 2: I just I needed I needed a doctor pepper last
- 17:03Speaker 2: week and I was like, Oh, if it's hot, I'll
- 17:04Speaker 2: just put it in the fridge. Yeah, I cold.
- 17:06Speaker 6: I also thought about doing alcohol, which is more doable,
- 17:10Speaker 6: surprisingly more.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Doable than the caffeine. To me, is like giving up alcohol.
- 17:14Speaker 7: But I'm going to New York next weekend.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 7: And when we go to New York is go.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Drink so right, and like if you guess some were fancy,
- 17:22Speaker 2: like you almost have to order wine, right, So.
- 17:26Speaker 7: Gonna drink some champagne.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Hashtag O TB mail bag. How can the Lady Tiger's
- 17:32Speaker 2: softball team be fixed? Easy answer, get hits and score runs.
- 17:36Speaker 2: We talked about it yesterday, Sierra, Daniel, jayl Lassiter, Tory Edwards.
- 17:40Speaker 2: They're doing their part. Everybody else needs to step up
- 17:43Speaker 2: as well. Hashtag mailbag how is the baby room coming along?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Thank you for asking, Daniel basham slowly but surely so
- 17:54Speaker 2: we kind of use that closet in our back bedroom.
- 17:57Speaker 2: So we live in a three and two. We just
- 18:00Speaker 2: got that even though we didn't have any kids. We
- 18:02Speaker 2: were like, look, we're gonna have this house for the
- 18:03Speaker 2: next however many years we want, like, let's just do
- 18:05Speaker 2: it now instead of you know, buying what like close
- 18:09Speaker 2: in on a house. It's not the funnest thing in
- 18:11Speaker 2: the world. So we were like, let's just go ahead
- 18:13Speaker 2: and do it one time. If you know, we happen
- 18:14Speaker 2: to have three or four kids down the road, then
- 18:17Speaker 2: we'll pack up and move. But for the time being,
- 18:19Speaker 2: it works. So we were kind of using that back
- 18:21Speaker 2: bedroom as storage. So like a lot of my winter coats,
- 18:25Speaker 2: a lot of her winter coats were in that back closet.
- 18:29Speaker 2: She did a closet clean out of her stuff Wednesday,
- 18:32Speaker 2: and uh, Friday, I did mine. So that's done. Really,
- 18:36Speaker 2: all I gotta do is get the full size bed
- 18:39Speaker 2: mattress out of there. We gotta wrap it, put it
- 18:41Speaker 2: up in the attic. That's pretty much it, and then
- 18:44Speaker 2: start the process of painting. If Victoria said she wants
- 18:47Speaker 2: to go with a light yellow, because it could be
- 18:49Speaker 2: boy or girl in case we have a girl, somewhere
- 18:51Speaker 2: down the road, and it could fit with an law
- 18:54Speaker 2: shoot theme if we want to do that. So we're
- 18:56Speaker 2: thinking something along the lines of that. But baby room,
- 18:58Speaker 2: baby room, coming along all right, Daniel basham with another
- 19:02Speaker 2: good one. This almost made me cry yesterday. I don't
- 19:04Speaker 2: want this but a landro otb mail bag and a
- 19:08Speaker 2: laundra given update on Punch, So.
- 19:09Speaker 7: I actually have a really good update on Punch.
- 19:12Speaker 2: This is positive.
- 19:13Speaker 7: This is a positive.
- 19:14Speaker 6: Update on Punch because Punch was Honestly, I'm not much
- 19:20Speaker 6: like an emotional person.
- 19:21Speaker 7: That Punch was making me highly emotional.
- 19:25Speaker 6: Like I almost wanted to cry over this little tiny monkey,
- 19:28Speaker 6: and I really want to adopt him.
- 19:30Speaker 7: But it looks like he's making some friends in the troop.
- 19:33Speaker 6: Now. One of the older females did start grooming him.
- 19:39Speaker 6: That sounds wrong, but like grooming is different, no, like.
- 19:43Speaker 7: But yeah, he was getting groomed and.
- 19:48Speaker 6: He also like she hugged him, so he started to
- 19:51Speaker 6: make some friends in the troop.
- 19:53Speaker 2: That's positive, right, Like, Okay, yeah, we like it. We
- 19:56Speaker 2: like Punch, we love it.
- 19:58Speaker 6: Punch is a really cute name for him too, and
- 20:01Speaker 6: he's so tiny. He just carries that big old stuffed
- 20:04Speaker 6: animal around that's way too big for him.
- 20:07Speaker 3: It's bigger than all.
- 20:08Speaker 7: It's bigger than him.
- 20:09Speaker 6: Yeah, oh so he's like a tiny I haven't.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Seen a picture of punch at all. Look on Twitter,
- 20:15Speaker 2: I have not seen a picture of punch.
- 20:18Speaker 6: And just type in punch the monkey on Twitter and
- 20:20Speaker 6: I'm sure you'll find one immediately.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Somebody here says, h Taylor, you don't have to be
- 20:25Speaker 2: Catholic to give up something for lent. Sure, I know
- 20:27Speaker 2: that I'm using an excuse not to that. That's where
- 20:30Speaker 2: we're at.
- 20:31Speaker 3: Guys.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I'm like, uh, not catholic. Guess I can't do it, right,
- 20:34Speaker 2: Guess I can't do it. I wanted to, but uh,
- 20:36Speaker 2: I can't make it up. Guys, I can't give up
- 20:38Speaker 2: anything like because.
- 20:40Speaker 7: You know, or doesn't have will power.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Right Yeah, basically sure, yeah, that's fine, right, we'll take it. Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 2: take it on the chat. Then that's me because I
- 20:49Speaker 2: know whether it's Victoria, whether I let the OTB crew pick,
- 20:53Speaker 2: whether I let the chat pick, They're gonna say, Taylor,
- 20:56Speaker 2: you gotta give up energy drinks, and guys, I ain't happen.
- 20:59Speaker 2: It ain't happening. I mean, what else am I going
- 21:01Speaker 2: to give up. That's the obvious answer, and it's not happening. Look,
- 21:04Speaker 2: we got the we got the energy drink down here today.
- 21:07Speaker 7: That's the good one.
- 21:08Speaker 2: That's that's the good. This is the this is the
- 21:10Speaker 2: sugar Fair.
- 21:10Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, you said you couldn't find sugar free.
- 21:15Speaker 2: They restocked it. But uh, all right, what's punch look like?
- 21:19Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, this.
- 21:21Speaker 2: We got an update of this guy.
- 21:23Speaker 7: Do you help? Oh my gosh, look at this tailor.
- 21:29Speaker 7: You're gonna die.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Oh so he's the gray one. And okay, so the
- 21:37Speaker 2: stuffed animals the orange. He's the gray.
- 21:40Speaker 7: So he's weak. Monkey.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Gosh, he's tiny. I mean that is that's smaller than
- 21:47Speaker 2: I thought it was going to be. Look at the
- 21:49Speaker 2: feet in Yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 7: Wait, scroll because there's another there's more in there.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Hit the arrow, Hit the arrow button.
- 21:57Speaker 7: Oh my gosh.
- 21:58Speaker 2: All right, well I officially loved Punch.
- 22:01Speaker 7: We all love Punch. Look at that.
- 22:05Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, I cannot. If you're Lizzie Radio, go
- 22:08Speaker 6: look up Punch the monkey. He is the cutest little thing.
- 22:12Speaker 6: But it also might.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Make you sad.
- 22:14Speaker 7: But don't be too sad because he has friends.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Now, oh my.
- 22:19Speaker 3: God, I can't we gotta name this stuff anima.
- 22:22Speaker 6: Now I don't know what the stuffed animal's name is,
- 22:24Speaker 6: but his name is punch Fruit, and I love it.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I like fruit punch, Fruit punch. That's actually cute. Really
- 22:30Speaker 2: that aveo. When the chat says, Taylor, you're gonna make
- 22:34Speaker 2: your kids sleep in a closet. No, okay, we're cleaning
- 22:36Speaker 2: out the closet. It did I know? I worded that
- 22:40Speaker 2: very poorly. We're cleaning out the closet in the back bedroom.
- 22:44Speaker 2: We want to get everything out of there and just
- 22:46Speaker 2: work on the baby room all at once. By the way,
- 22:50Speaker 2: anybody may, I guess you two would never have a
- 22:52Speaker 2: reason to do it. But if you've ever looked up
- 22:54Speaker 2: prices of a baby crib, no, not the cheapest thing
- 22:57Speaker 2: in the world.
- 22:58Speaker 7: Guess everything that involves a baby is expensive.
- 23:02Speaker 2: We went and looked a couple of weeks ago some
- 23:04Speaker 2: place I don't even remember where we were, and Victoria's like, oh, yeah,
- 23:07Speaker 2: it's like baby furniture. Went looked and they're like, yeah,
- 23:09Speaker 2: we have a twenty percent off sale. I was like, cool,
- 23:11Speaker 2: how much is this rocking chair? They're like, well, it's
- 23:14Speaker 2: called a glider. Okay, how much is this glider. They're
- 23:17Speaker 2: like eight hundred dollars and I was like, this is
- 23:20Speaker 2: on sale, and then I was like, yeah, it is
- 23:22Speaker 2: on sale because the other one next year it was
- 23:24Speaker 2: twelve hundred. So to me, that's a little ridiculous. But
- 23:28Speaker 2: everything everything baby related, like, it's just it's just one
- 23:31Speaker 2: thing after now.
- 23:32Speaker 7: Do you look up car seats?
- 23:34Speaker 2: So we actually already we got a car seat given
- 23:36Speaker 2: to it.
- 23:36Speaker 7: Is it a Duna no or what is it douna?
- 23:40Speaker 2: That's right, that's right. You're talking about the one that's
- 23:42Speaker 2: like car seat, stroller all in one. That's right, we
- 23:44Speaker 2: don't have that. We weren't given a car seat. It's
- 23:48Speaker 2: just that a Greco or whatever brand, the brand you
- 23:50Speaker 2: see all the time.
- 23:52Speaker 6: We're supposedly being given one time for a baby shower.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Yep.
- 23:57Speaker 7: I was like, do some of y'all want to go
- 23:59Speaker 7: in on this together?
- 24:00Speaker 2: We can go in fourths still be a decent gift. No,
- 24:04Speaker 2: So we've looked at the we've looked at Duna's. We're
- 24:09Speaker 2: apparently going to get one something, but we we already
- 24:11Speaker 2: do have like a temporary car seat right now, Let's
- 24:15Speaker 2: be honest, we're gonna be carrying that baby every where
- 24:17Speaker 2: we go over the first couple of months anyway. So
- 24:20Speaker 2: the stroller, well, we'll get one, though, we're gonna figure
- 24:22Speaker 2: it out. We want to get the baby room figured
- 24:23Speaker 2: out first. Victoria has a a women only baby shower
- 24:28Speaker 2: in April. So I'm not even invited to its? How
- 24:30Speaker 2: they are, Yeah, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not even invited.
- 24:33Speaker 7: And then the men come at the end.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I'm not going at all, apparently. Yeah, I know she
- 24:37Speaker 2: didn't want me. I mean, I get it. I wouldn't
- 24:39Speaker 2: want me there. She doesn't want me there, so uh
- 24:41Speaker 2: it uh.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Just giving baby takes Yeah, the whole.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Time, she's, uh, baby, so you'll love this. We Uh.
- 24:49Speaker 2: One of my good friends his son turned one years
- 24:52Speaker 2: old on Valentine's Day on Saturday, so we went to
- 24:54Speaker 2: the party that morning or that that. Yeah, it was
- 24:56Speaker 2: like newt. We get there and uh, we pull up
- 24:59Speaker 2: and he goes, how's Razor doing. Victoria's like, guys, stop.
- 25:04Speaker 7: Can we just stop calling him?
- 25:05Speaker 2: He's like everybody at the Christmas party and the Garritet
- 25:07Speaker 2: one hundred year celebration, they've all gotten together and claimed
- 25:11Speaker 2: that this baby's gonna be And I mean I didn't
- 25:13Speaker 2: even tell him at a time, and it's just it's
- 25:16Speaker 2: it's the obvious name, guys. A little bit of breaking news.
- 25:21Speaker 2: The baby's not going to be named Razor. I'm would
- 25:23Speaker 2: like to apologize to everyone.
- 25:25Speaker 6: I think I've said something like I commented on y'all's
- 25:28Speaker 6: picture or something else like I can't wait to be Razor,
- 25:30Speaker 6: and Victoria was like, you're so funny, right.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Oh, but it's so funny, Like nobody has talked to
- 25:36Speaker 2: each other about it, and everybody has said that, like
- 25:39Speaker 2: like a friend Ben, he doesn't know, y'all, you can.
- 25:41Speaker 2: We walked in, how's Razor doing. My best friend's last
- 25:45Speaker 2: name is Hunt and he already has a kid. But
- 25:47Speaker 2: he told me he's like, hey, if you name your
- 25:49Speaker 2: son Razor, if I ever have a daughter in the future,
- 25:51Speaker 2: all name or Treasure, so it'd be Razor Sharp and
- 25:54Speaker 2: then Treasure Hunt. And I was like, that's the most
- 25:56Speaker 2: tempting I've heard. The problem is, though, you have to
- 26:00Speaker 2: have another kid and all that, Like, yeah, that's a
- 26:01Speaker 2: risk I can't take, but it would be elite. I'm
- 26:05Speaker 2: trying to work in Razor as a middle name and
- 26:07Speaker 2: maybe just kind of go by that I as a
- 26:09Speaker 2: middle name. We're we're trying to we're trying to workship
- 26:12Speaker 2: that in a little bit. Victoria wants to have my
- 26:14Speaker 2: middle name. I hate my middle name. Malone is my
- 26:17Speaker 2: middle name, family name. Don't know where it originates from,
- 26:20Speaker 2: but I don't know. She wants to kind of keep
- 26:23Speaker 2: it going.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Uh.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I think I'm the last one with Malone because my
- 26:25Speaker 2: younger brother's not. But uh, I don't know. It's it's
- 26:28Speaker 2: not gonna be Razor there, guys, I hate to break
- 26:30Speaker 2: the news to everybody. All Right, We're gonna take a quick,
- 26:33Speaker 2: real quick.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Is a Landra the godmother?
- 26:36Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 26:37Speaker 7: I'd be a great guy.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Here's what we're gonna do, guys, We're gonna take bids.
- 26:42Speaker 7: I'm not bidding on that.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, highest bidder, highest bidder gets to be the god
- 26:46Speaker 2: I would.
- 26:47Speaker 6: Love to be the godmother to Razor, but I'm not
- 26:49Speaker 6: I'm not bidding.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Also, it's not as fun to be a godmother as
- 26:52Speaker 2: someone that's not named Razor. Right, So that's I don't know.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I mean, do people still do godmothers? I mean, is
- 26:58Speaker 2: it like still a thing? Yeah? I know that I
- 27:01Speaker 2: have one somewhere I've never met him. My mom's literally
- 27:04Speaker 2: told me, oh, yeah, these people are your godparents. Never
- 27:06Speaker 2: met him a day in my life. I don't even
- 27:07Speaker 2: think they live around here anymore.
- 27:11Speaker 6: My brother doesn't really know his godfather.
- 27:14Speaker 3: I don't.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, we probably will probably just
- 27:18Speaker 2: pick my my sister and my brother in law, because
- 27:21Speaker 2: I mean, they live right down the road.
- 27:22Speaker 3: RUMs.
- 27:23Speaker 2: I mean, that's probably. I mean, I guess the logical
- 27:25Speaker 2: answer to do. But I don't know. I mean, is
- 27:27Speaker 2: that is that a thing that I didn't realize people
- 27:30Speaker 2: still did that. I like it, but uh, yeah, we'll see.
- 27:35Speaker 2: We'll see. The god parent is well, is not gonna
- 27:38Speaker 2: bid for it, so she's out of the running. Look,
- 27:40Speaker 2: we got we gotta make some we gotta. I'm trying
- 27:42Speaker 2: to make money off that.
- 27:42Speaker 7: They're saying that I'm gonna raise Archie.
- 27:45Speaker 6: They named your baby Archie in the chat, by the way,
- 27:48Speaker 6: actually a kind of cute.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Archie's not a bad name. Archie raisor sharp, Archie is
- 27:52Speaker 2: not a terrible now one.
- 27:53Speaker 7: So they said that, Daniel.
- 27:55Speaker 6: So then they said that I'm gonna be raising Archie
- 27:57Speaker 6: and Punch. I have Punch when in one and Archie
- 28:00Speaker 6: in the other.
- 28:01Speaker 2: My dad is listening. Just got a text. You don't
- 28:04Speaker 2: have godparents. I think that's a Catholic thing.
- 28:06Speaker 7: It is a Catholic thing.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Okay, Well, there you go. I don't have god parents.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I didn't think I did. I don't know if I
- 28:11Speaker 2: did or not. I thought my mom. I thought maybe
- 28:13Speaker 2: a long time ago.
- 28:14Speaker 6: My mom said, I don't know.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I don't know, maybe not. But no, no god parents,
- 28:20Speaker 2: and I don't. I guess we probably won't have any either.
- 28:23Speaker 2: All Right, we're a little long for a break. We're
- 28:25Speaker 2: gonna take a time out and we get back on
- 28:26Speaker 2: the other side. We're gonna be joined by the voice
- 28:28Speaker 2: of the Lady Tigers, Patrick Ride. He was a busy
- 28:30Speaker 2: man over the weekend calling Loshue Baseball the big time

- 30:01Speaker 2: Welcome back in Tuesday edition of Off the Bench, Taylor
- 30:05Speaker 2: Sharp here with you right now. We're gonna go out
- 30:07Speaker 2: to the phone lines the voice of your lady Tigers.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Patrick right joins us. Right now, Patrick, how are you
- 30:12Speaker 2: this morning?
- 30:13Speaker 8: Hey morning Taylor, Good morning sir.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You were a busy man over the weekend. I mean
- 30:19Speaker 2: all three Yelshoe baseball games. You had the electric atmosphere
- 30:22Speaker 2: and the p MAC. That was the women's basketball game.
- 30:26Speaker 2: You tired yet?
- 30:28Speaker 8: No, this is live in the dream for baseball games.
- 30:32Speaker 8: On a basketball game in four days, that's what we
- 30:35Speaker 8: dream of.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Let's start with the women's basketball game. We'll get into
- 30:39Speaker 2: baseball a little bit later. What was the atmosphere like
- 30:43Speaker 2: on Saturday night? I mean I was watching on TV.
- 30:45Speaker 2: I mean, how does that compare me? You've done this
- 30:46Speaker 2: for a number of years. How does that compare among
- 30:48Speaker 2: like some of the big time women's games.
- 30:50Speaker 3: You've done well.
- 30:51Speaker 8: That and probably the game two years ago with South
- 30:54Speaker 8: Carolina kind of the same deal.
- 30:56Speaker 6: That game.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Was.
- 31:00Speaker 8: That game was on a Thursday night, so it was
- 31:03Speaker 8: you're in a week but game day was here that
- 31:05Speaker 8: day as well, and there was a big lead up
- 31:08Speaker 8: to it. So those two are are probably the two best.
- 31:13Speaker 8: Just and with it being kind of on a on
- 31:15Speaker 8: a weekend, it was in prime time. The fans were
- 31:18Speaker 8: able to kind of kind of have all day on
- 31:22Speaker 8: a weekend to get ready for it. I thought it
- 31:24Speaker 8: was even a little more than the one a couple
- 31:27Speaker 8: of years ago. But those are the two best, just
- 31:30Speaker 8: because at South Carolina, it's a team we haven't beaten forever,
- 31:34Speaker 8: a top five matchup. Our fans have had this one
- 31:38Speaker 8: circled for a long time, and that made it a
- 31:39Speaker 8: little even a little tougher to swallow when it just
- 31:42Speaker 8: didn't quite go our way again against South Carolina.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Speaking of that, you know, I saw the graphic on
- 31:49Speaker 2: the broadcast and they were like, oh, seventeen seventeen in
- 31:51Speaker 2: a row for South Carolina over lo Shu Patrick. I
- 31:53Speaker 2: thought it was a typo. I mean, what is it
- 31:55Speaker 2: about this South Carolina program unless you just cannot get.
- 31:58Speaker 8: Over the homep Well, they're they're they're that good. Uh
- 32:03Speaker 8: you know, they're counting this year, their last five years,
- 32:07Speaker 8: they are seventy four and three in the SEC. So
- 32:10Speaker 8: it's not just an LSU thing. It's almost everybody else also. Now,
- 32:17Speaker 8: when the last time we beat him was back in
- 32:20Speaker 8: twenty twelve, and that was just when they started. They
- 32:24Speaker 8: hadn't started making Final four runs yet, but they had
- 32:27Speaker 8: started to get pretty good, and then our program had
- 32:31Speaker 8: you know, we were kind of average, had had a
- 32:33Speaker 8: couple of rough years. Most of those seventeen in a
- 32:37Speaker 8: row were not very close games. A couple were close ish,
- 32:43Speaker 8: but not very close. You know, since coach Malky's got here,
- 32:47Speaker 8: you know, it's it's been six games. Four of them
- 32:50Speaker 8: have been close, you know, the one in the SEC
- 32:54Speaker 8: Tournament Championship a couple of years ago, and all three
- 32:57Speaker 8: games in the PMAC that coaches Coach Malkey's coached against
- 33:01Speaker 8: them have been closed. They just they just make make
- 33:06Speaker 8: the right plays at the right time, and then you know,
- 33:10Speaker 8: sometimes it takes a little bit of good fortune. I mean,
- 33:11Speaker 8: I wouldn't bet on you know, flage A Johnson missing
- 33:15Speaker 8: a couple of free throws late. In fact, you know,
- 33:18Speaker 8: we we shot I think sixty percent from the free
- 33:20Speaker 8: throw and this has been a team that was eighty
- 33:22Speaker 8: percent at SEC play coming in. So it was you know,
- 33:25Speaker 8: if you had to pick away that LSU was going
- 33:27Speaker 8: to lose that game, free throw shooting would have been
- 33:29Speaker 8: kind of toward the bottom of the list. But man,
- 33:32Speaker 8: just stuff just happens that you can't explain. Sometimes I'm
- 33:36Speaker 8: glad you went.
- 33:36Speaker 2: There with the free throws, because you know, when I
- 33:38Speaker 2: was looking at this game going into it, I was like, oh,
- 33:40Speaker 2: I'm worried about South Carolina's you know, size down low.
- 33:43Speaker 2: LSU out rebounds them, and then yeah, like the free throws.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Is that Is that something that's a concern for you
- 33:49Speaker 2: or you just think, hey was a one off, it
- 33:50Speaker 2: was a bad night.
- 33:51Speaker 8: No, it's a one off. I mean it just again,
- 33:54Speaker 8: there's there's no good explanation for it. Just it just happens.
- 33:58Speaker 8: And I think, you know, I've seen enough of these
- 34:00Speaker 8: games through how many years, it seems like contagious in
- 34:04Speaker 8: a game, either either you're gonna shoot super well or
- 34:09Speaker 8: if you start missing a couple then then it kind
- 34:11Speaker 8: of goes that way. Also, but looking at the stat sheet,
- 34:16Speaker 8: I mean, everything that worried you are concerned you going
- 34:19Speaker 8: in was fine. LSU points off, turnovers were pretty even.
- 34:24Speaker 8: You know, you mentioned we out rebounded them pretty heavily,
- 34:27Speaker 8: we did, you know, second chance points were closed, field
- 34:30Speaker 8: goal percent was about even on both sides. If you
- 34:33Speaker 8: take away the free throws and you look at the
- 34:35Speaker 8: stat sheet, LSU is the clear winner in the game
- 34:38Speaker 8: because they controlled a lot of the stats that thought
- 34:41Speaker 8: they needed to control going in again. Just one of
- 34:44Speaker 8: those things you can't predict. And that's what makes it
- 34:47Speaker 8: all the more frustrating, is it's it's more what you
- 34:50Speaker 8: did to yourself than what they did to you.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Patrick, switching from women's basketball to baseball, you had to
- 34:58Speaker 2: do all the games on the diame this week as well.
- 35:01Speaker 2: What were your thoughts on this pitching staff? There was
- 35:03Speaker 2: a lot of excitement. Evans, Cooper Moore, William Schmidt. What
- 35:06Speaker 2: did you see from those guys?
- 35:08Speaker 8: Well, it's a it's a deep group. Last night, some
- 35:13Speaker 8: of the relievers just didn't throw enough strikes. He had
- 35:16Speaker 8: hit a couple of batters and gave up some walks.
- 35:18Speaker 8: But overall, there is there is so much raw talent
- 35:22Speaker 8: in this group. Now, the one that clearly stood out
- 35:26Speaker 8: was Cooper Moore on Saturday, you know the transfer from Kansas.
- 35:29Speaker 8: The guy is a strike throwing machine. He threw eighty
- 35:34Speaker 8: percent of his pitches for strikes and he's got six
- 35:37Speaker 8: different pitches and yeah, I don't remember all the exact numbers,
- 35:42Speaker 8: but Doug had had some numbers that we read off
- 35:47Speaker 8: on Sunday the day after he pitched. He threw like
- 35:49Speaker 8: thirty eight percent change ups. But he's got fastball, curveball,
- 35:54Speaker 8: he's got to think a little splitter that he throws.
- 35:57Speaker 8: He threw six different pitches, all of them for strike
- 36:00Speaker 8: and you know, doesn't necessarily throw the ball through the backstop.
- 36:05Speaker 8: You know he'll go low nineties. But good proof that
- 36:09Speaker 8: you don't have to have that. Now, LSU's got plenty
- 36:12Speaker 8: of pitchers who can do that. Schmidt again kind of
- 36:16Speaker 8: the you know, not throwing maybe enough strikes, but every
- 36:20Speaker 8: pitcher in the grand total of it had a ton
- 36:23Speaker 8: of strikeouts. It was forty nine over the weekend, and
- 36:27Speaker 8: it was about twelve or thirteen last night, So about
- 36:29Speaker 8: sixty strikeouts in four games. I mean, the stuff is
- 36:33Speaker 8: there for just about everybody. It's just a matter of
- 36:35Speaker 8: a few guys just you know, throwing some more strikes.
- 36:37Speaker 8: I mean a little more consistent as far.
- 36:39Speaker 2: As the bullpen goes. Patrick Patrick Wright joining us right now.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Do you think this could be one of the deepest
- 36:45Speaker 2: bullpens in college baseball?
- 36:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 36:48Speaker 8: If you again, if you get, if you get some
- 36:50Speaker 8: of the guys who are throwing throwing strikes. But let
- 36:53Speaker 8: me tell you what you got. You know, Gavin Gidrey,
- 36:55Speaker 8: any guy coming off of a year and a half
- 36:57Speaker 8: without pitching, you're not sure. It looks like he is back,
- 37:01Speaker 8: not only in his in his form, but I think
- 37:03Speaker 8: he's better. Uh, he's he was commanding everything in both appearances.
- 37:09Speaker 8: But then you got guys like Devin Shearon who just
- 37:14Speaker 8: came in and struck at everybody he's face this week,
- 37:16Speaker 8: and he faced four or five batters, struck them all out.
- 37:19Speaker 8: Then you got hard throwers, the guys like Gavin Fonteau.
- 37:25Speaker 8: Just yeah, there's there's a lot of versatility. I don't
- 37:28Speaker 8: know now, maybe Guidry will develop into it. I don't
- 37:32Speaker 8: know if coach Johnson is gonna necessarily name a closer.
- 37:35Speaker 8: I think you got three or four guys who are
- 37:38Speaker 8: who are capable of being somebody who could come in
- 37:41Speaker 8: and give you one or two innings of wipeout pitching
- 37:44Speaker 8: to you know, to close out a one or two
- 37:45Speaker 8: run ball game. It's again four games. You got to
- 37:50Speaker 8: get some performance. But on paper, and then from what
- 37:53Speaker 8: I saw with my eyes, there's there's a lot of
- 37:56Speaker 8: lot of talent out out of that group.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Absolutely, we get you out of here. Going back to uh,
- 38:02Speaker 2: I'll let you women's basketball here real quick. It doesn't
- 38:05Speaker 2: get any easier. I mean, you got to go on
- 38:06Speaker 2: the road to Ole Miss on Thursday. How does this
- 38:10Speaker 2: team how does coach Molkey get this team to to
- 38:12Speaker 2: refocus bounce back? I mean there was a lot of hype,
- 38:15Speaker 2: you know, the game was on ABC and then they
- 38:17Speaker 2: suffer a heartbreaking loss. And how tough do you think
- 38:19Speaker 2: that is to kind of, hey, let's rebound, let's put
- 38:21Speaker 2: this one behind us because we got another top twenty
- 38:23Speaker 2: five team coming up.
- 38:24Speaker 8: Well, I'll tell you what happened two years ago when
- 38:26Speaker 8: they beat us here. We then had to go on
- 38:29Speaker 8: the road a few days later at Mississippi State and
- 38:32Speaker 8: got beat that night. And it was one of it
- 38:35Speaker 8: was a classic situation of we almost It's like we
- 38:37Speaker 8: lost the South Carolina game twice like that game got
- 38:40Speaker 8: us beat again. And I think for the group that
- 38:43Speaker 8: was here a couple of years ago, she will use
- 38:45Speaker 8: that point and say, look, guys, we got to put
- 38:47Speaker 8: this behind us. We've got to you know, not let
- 38:51Speaker 8: that happen again. What happened two years ago? Ole Miss
- 38:54Speaker 8: is a team. Yeah, they beat us last year in
- 38:57Speaker 8: the PMAC on Senior Day. It was a pretty close game,
- 39:00Speaker 8: but they're they're a grinded out team and if you know,
- 39:03Speaker 8: if you don't go in there ready to play, they
- 39:05Speaker 8: can absolutely can take it to you. They've got it.
- 39:07Speaker 8: They had a game postponed with Tennessee a couple of
- 39:12Speaker 8: weeks ago due to the ice storm, so Ole Miss
- 39:14Speaker 8: is playing. They played Sunday at Kentucky and lost. They've
- 39:17Speaker 8: got Tennessee at home tonight, and then they've got us
- 39:20Speaker 8: on Thursday. So it is a rough week for them.
- 39:23Speaker 8: That's something to hope we can kind of take advantage of.
- 39:26Speaker 8: They'll be playing their third game in five days when
- 39:28Speaker 8: we see them up there. But as coaches said all year,
- 39:31Speaker 8: this is a group that they don't lose confidence.
- 39:34Speaker 3: They come to.
- 39:34Speaker 8: Work every day ready to get better for the next game.
- 39:37Speaker 8: So I think kind of getting that focus back. And
- 39:39Speaker 8: there's four big games coming up. We got a lot
- 39:41Speaker 8: to play for. Need to try to finish top four
- 39:44Speaker 8: in the SEC, try to hold on to a two
- 39:47Speaker 8: or three seed for the NCAA. So there's plenty to go,
- 39:51Speaker 8: plenty to go out there and get I think she'll
- 39:53Speaker 8: have them ready.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Patrick Ryde, voice of the LSU Lady Tiger's Good enough
- 39:57Speaker 2: to join us today. Patrick, thank you so much for
- 39:59Speaker 2: your time.

- 42:43Speaker 2: this song, What a What a banger? Good soundtrack of
- 42:48Speaker 2: that movie as well. I love that movie.
- 42:50Speaker 6: I feel like any eighties movie has a good soundtrack.
- 42:53Speaker 2: It's a good point. What's the guy John Hughes? He
- 42:55Speaker 2: does a lot of the any any John Hughes movie. Okay,
- 42:58Speaker 2: so we're here Tuesday, Marty Grawl. I'm not giving anything
- 43:03Speaker 2: up for lent because I'm a weak minded individual. Yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 2: Landra said she was going to give up caffeine. I
- 43:08Speaker 2: got an update for you. Maybe here's some sodas with
- 43:11Speaker 2: no caffeine. Sprite seven up the story that used to
- 43:16Speaker 2: be here on this Any root beer that is not
- 43:21Speaker 2: Bark's brand, so a n W mugs root beer, IBC.
- 43:26Speaker 2: None of the only Barks root beer has caffeine. All
- 43:28Speaker 2: the other root beers, You're good, h Canada dry ginger
- 43:32Speaker 2: any ginger ale, so basically any lemon lime ginger ale,
- 43:36Speaker 2: but you have root beer. Also, how about Phanta orange
- 43:40Speaker 2: an orange crush? Didn't know that.
- 43:42Speaker 6: I'm not twelve years old anymore.
- 43:43Speaker 2: I mean, I'm just we're just throwing out options here
- 43:46Speaker 2: for you.
- 43:46Speaker 6: And then obviously any remember the last time I had
- 43:49Speaker 6: a Fanta anything.
- 43:51Speaker 2: That's a good point. That's a good point. I don't
- 43:54Speaker 2: or like crush orange crush. Yeah, those are your options.
- 44:00Speaker 2: It looks like looks like you're going back to your
- 44:03Speaker 2: childhood with orange crush, or you're going Sprite and root beer.
- 44:07Speaker 2: That's kind of what I like root beer.
- 44:10Speaker 7: But obviously Barks is the best.
- 44:12Speaker 2: One, and of course it's the one with with with
- 44:15Speaker 2: caffeine in it. But uh A and W is not bad.
- 44:18Speaker 6: I truly feel like if I were, yeah, like what
- 44:21Speaker 6: I feel like, if I were to give up caffeine
- 44:23Speaker 6: and go through with this, I would get sick, Like
- 44:27Speaker 6: with I would get sick. My eyes would start to
- 44:30Speaker 6: get sunken in, I'd have dark circles under them. I
- 44:34Speaker 6: would probably, like, I don't know, I feel like I
- 44:38Speaker 6: would get like, truly start going through withdrawals if I
- 44:43Speaker 6: gave up caffeine.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Well, I mean you need to learn to like sprite
- 44:47Speaker 2: is what it seems like that that that's kind of
- 44:50Speaker 2: your that's kind of your option right now. Just go
- 44:54Speaker 2: with water, I mean, yeah, waters. You know it's funny.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I feel like if I drink nothing water, water tastes
- 45:01Speaker 2: really good to me. But if I drink like a
- 45:03Speaker 2: bunch of doctor peppers and I go back to water,
- 45:05Speaker 2: like water's crap. Yeah, I like water too, as long
- 45:09Speaker 2: as like, I feel like just water is better for
- 45:12Speaker 2: me than just than just water back to doctor pepper,
- 45:16Speaker 2: because doctor pepper is so good. When you go back
- 45:19Speaker 2: to water, it's it's it's not great all right here
- 45:22Speaker 2: you go You like, uh, you like hot apple cider. No,
- 45:28Speaker 2: it's true. Apple cider's got a lot of cinnamon in it.
- 45:30Speaker 2: She's not big on cinnamon. Here you go, perfect Camma
- 45:35Speaker 2: mill tea.
- 45:36Speaker 7: I can do some cam of meal that puts you
- 45:38Speaker 7: to sleep.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well, says any herbal tea. So I guess it
- 45:41Speaker 2: doesn't have to be have to be canonil any any caff.
- 45:44Speaker 7: I could do, like decaf coffee. But there's zero point
- 45:47Speaker 7: in a decaf.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Coffee since there's a lot of hot chocolate with no
- 45:50Speaker 2: caffeine in it.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Really good laundry. You ever had a loaded tea?
- 45:56Speaker 7: No, don't those have caffeine in them too?
- 45:58Speaker 3: Inane?
- 45:59Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like drink.
- 46:00Speaker 7: People tell me about them.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Oh, here you go, lemonade and smoothies.
- 46:07Speaker 3: Lemonade is good.
- 46:07Speaker 7: Lemonade is good. Smoothies. But like I do this, I
- 46:11Speaker 7: drink drinks like for the caffeine.
- 46:15Speaker 2: Well then I don't know.
- 46:17Speaker 3: I don't drink much like or anything like that, at
- 46:19Speaker 3: least not anymore.
- 46:21Speaker 2: All Right, that's gonna do it for a hour two
- 46:24Speaker 2: of the show. We got hour three coming up, Nick
- 46:26Speaker 2: Underhill of New Orleans, that football, and we'll close it
- 46:28Speaker 2: out with Ask the Bench that's coming up here on
- 46:30Speaker 2: a TV.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Off the Bench
