- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's move on to the other sec matchup, Florida and
- 0:05Speaker 1: Ole Miss where the number 21 ranked team in the country,
- 0:08Speaker 1: the Florida Gators are a three to three and a
- 0:11Speaker 1: half point favorite against the greatest quarterback to ever walk
- 0:16Speaker 1: the planet. According to Cole Thompson, uh, Trinidad Chambliss, we
- 0:19Speaker 1: are presented by prize picks. Um, some, some concern around
- 0:23Speaker 1: Lacey not playing, which is a big deal, but, uh, I.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Don't want to spend time gloating about Florida. I've done
- 0:30Speaker 2: that enough from that Auburn game.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But Vegas is saying, though Summerall believes that they've got
- 0:35Speaker 1: good drugs out in Vegas, Summerall not really happy with
- 0:39Speaker 1: being a favorite, but Vegas is telling you that Florida's
- 0:41Speaker 1: going to win this game, Cole.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I mean, do you blame them?
- 0:44Speaker 4: When was the last time that Ole Miss won in
- 0:46Speaker 4: the swamp?
- 0:47Speaker 3: Anybody want to tell me?
- 0:49Speaker 1: It's got to be before 2016, because I know they've
- 0:53Speaker 1: lost the last couple.
- 0:53Speaker 4: 2008, when the promise was made, we will not lose
- 0:57Speaker 4: this game.
- 0:58Speaker 3: We will not lose again this season.
- 0:59Speaker 4: So again, this is an emotional place to play for
- 1:03Speaker 4: a lot of teams. We have seen rosters that have
- 1:05Speaker 4: started to figure out who they are immediately slip on
- 1:08Speaker 4: up in countless occasions, not just in last season with Texas.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I mean, we can go all the way back to
- 1:14Speaker 4: years ago in 2010, 2012, 2014. We have seen the
- 1:15Speaker 4: swamp play a major factor. Last week was an emotional
- 1:20Speaker 4: win for Ole Miss.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It was.
- 1:22Speaker 4: It was one of those games that will be living
- 1:25Speaker 4: on in infamy in Oxford because of what it meant.
- 1:28Speaker 2: But.
- 1:30Speaker 3: How do you.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Control your emotions in an environment where you know the
- 1:33Speaker 4: fourth quarter rolls around and Tom Petty starts screaming, I
- 1:36Speaker 4: won't back down, and it gets loud and it gets
- 1:38Speaker 4: ravenous and it can play a major role. Ole Miss,
- 1:41Speaker 4: two years ago, was on the verge of going to
- 1:43Speaker 4: the college football playoff after beating Georgia, and they crapped
- 1:47Speaker 4: the bed against DJ Lagway and Billy Napier. I mean, like,
- 1:50Speaker 4: it's a place that has not been kind to Ole Miss. Meanwhile,
- 1:53Speaker 4: if you're Florida in this game, think about this for
- 1:56Speaker 4: a second.
- 1:56Speaker 3: You're sitting at 3-0.
- 1:58Speaker 4: And you dog walked Auburn. I don't care what that
- 2:00Speaker 4: damn score says. You went into Jordan-Hare, and you made
- 2:02Speaker 4: it Jaden-Hare, the home of Bob.
- 2:05Speaker 3: That's what you did. You win this game, you're 4-0.
- 2:09Speaker 4: People are still sitting, and they're being very cautious about, hey,
- 2:13Speaker 4: do we want to fully buy into Florida yet?
- 2:15Speaker 3: You buy on in this week.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I'll tell you that much. If you beat Ole Miss,
- 2:18Speaker 4: top five team in the country. And then think about
- 2:20Speaker 4: this for a second, boys. You get South Carolina and
- 2:23Speaker 4: Mizzou coming on up. One team, you have no idea
- 2:25Speaker 4: what they are, and another team, they're about ready to
- 2:27Speaker 4: fire their head coach.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Fans are done. 6-0 is a possibility.
- 2:32Speaker 4: 6-0 to start the season is not out of the
- 2:36Speaker 4: realm of success.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So, what do you need to do if you are Florida?
- 2:40Speaker 3: Let's start off with the home team.
- 2:41Speaker 2: For this one. Let's pause for just a moment.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I think a lot is dependent on what Missouri does
- 2:47Speaker 1: against Mississippi State, but Vegas is telling you if chalk holds,
- 2:52Speaker 1: Florida is going to be 6-0.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Like if if Missouri and Florida happen right now. Now,
- 2:58Speaker 1: if Missouri goes and blows out Mississippi State, maybe that's it.
- 3:02Speaker 1: But I would I would wager that Florida is a.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Slight favorite on the road at Missouri next week. That's
- 3:06Speaker 2: my guess.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Yep.
- 3:08Speaker 1: We can revisit that. But Vegas is telling you they
- 3:10Speaker 1: are now. It's not just a slight possibility like offseason talk. Florida,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I don't want to say should be because it's gonna
- 3:17Speaker 1: be three tough games here. But they very well should
- 3:21Speaker 1: be 6-0. So, all right, what do they need to
- 3:23Speaker 1: get done, Cole?
- 3:24Speaker 3: Five and one at the worst.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Number one, do you remember the press conference when they
- 3:29Speaker 4: introduced John Summerall and he had talked about what Jaden
- 3:32Speaker 4: Ball was and how special of a player he was
- 3:35Speaker 4: and how he said, I may run it with him
- 3:37Speaker 4: 50 times. And everyone thought, that's adorable you'd ever do that.
- 3:42Speaker 3: No, not really. This is the game to do it.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Ole Miss is one of the worst run defenses right
- 3:46Speaker 4: now in college football. And they were not able to
- 3:49Speaker 4: slow down Sam Leavitt and Dylan Jones once they.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Got in rhythm.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'll get right back to the power two here on
- 3:55Speaker 1: College Football Addiction. But first, I want to tell you,
- 3:57Speaker 1: on the live show this week, we picked all of
- 4:00Speaker 1: the players that are right next to us. We really
- 4:03Speaker 1: like the more for Trinidad. We really like the more
- 4:05Speaker 1: for Jaden Baugh. I took the less for Arch Manning.
- 4:08Speaker 1: The guys, one of them disagreed with me. I won't
- 4:10Speaker 1: tell you who. I like the more on....
- 4:15Speaker 2: Well, you know what?
- 4:16Speaker 1: Let me not tell you all of them. Go check
- 4:17Speaker 1: out the live show where we picked all of these players.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Pair a couple of things like this together. Set yourself
- 4:22Speaker 1: a lineup. All new users on the Price Picks app
- 4:24Speaker 1: who play a $ 5 lineup get $ 150 in lineups instantly
- 4:28Speaker 1: if they win using code HMA.
- 4:30Speaker 2: We appreciate you guys. Now back to the clip.
- 4:33Speaker 4: We can all agree right now the best running back
- 4:34Speaker 4: and the most dangerous man in a backfield.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Not named Trinidad Champ. This is Jaden freaking Bob.
- 4:39Speaker 4: So if you're going to run it with him a
- 4:40Speaker 4: million times, by all means, if it works, don't steer
- 4:44Speaker 4: away from that competition. You need to win the time
- 4:46Speaker 4: of possession battle. I know that a lot of people
- 4:48Speaker 4: are going to say it's an overrated stat. It doesn't
- 4:51Speaker 4: always mean you walk away with the win. But the
- 4:53Speaker 4: more time that you have Trinidad Chambliss sitting on that sideline,
- 4:56Speaker 4: that is a plus in your category because Trinidad is
- 4:59Speaker 4: going to eat. You have to determine how much is
- 5:01Speaker 4: he going to eat by. Number two, I think that
- 5:03Speaker 4: you got to win third down possessions. What did we
- 5:06Speaker 4: notice last week against LSU? Trinidad through the year was
- 5:10Speaker 4: 9 of 9 passing in the first half on third downs.
- 5:13Speaker 4: If you can do something similar to that and be
- 5:16Speaker 4: able to have Buster Faulkner run some formations and some
- 5:19Speaker 4: trickery that.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Gets you gain a 4. So it's 3rd and 4.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Okay, you just move the 6 and up with Verna Brown.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Get it to the outside with Dallas Wilson.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Move the 6 just enough with him.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Get Evan Pryor, the third running back involved, just a
- 5:32Speaker 4: little bit, alongside what you got with Duke.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Just enough to be able to go ahead and win.
- 5:36Speaker 4: Not only do you win time in possession, you start
- 5:38Speaker 4: tiring down that defense, and you're going to force Pete
- 5:42Speaker 4: Golding to have some slip-ups here and there that could
- 5:44Speaker 4: eventually lead to an explosive play to a Dallas Wilson
- 5:47Speaker 4: for a gain of 40, or it can lead to
- 5:48Speaker 4: a gain of Vernal Brown for a gain of 25.
- 5:51Speaker 4: So I think that's really important. Can you avoid pressure
- 5:54Speaker 4: if you are Aaron Philo in the backfield? Sam Leavitt
- 5:57Speaker 4: last week gave you the full Sam Leavitt experience of,
- 6:00Speaker 4: I really can struggle when I play in structure, but
- 6:03Speaker 4: I'm damn good when I'm out of structure. I don't
- 6:05Speaker 4: think we give Aaron Philo enough credit for being mobile
- 6:07Speaker 4: inside the pocket and sometimes stepping on up.
- 6:09Speaker 3: To avoid sacks.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Can you do something similar like that to be able
- 6:12Speaker 4: to keep the drives going? I think the third thing
- 6:15Speaker 4: is being able to execute inside the red zone. And defensively,
- 6:19Speaker 4: it's not about stopping Trey.Chamis. I'm not even going to
- 6:21Speaker 4: go in that category. But can you make Trinidad Chambers
- 6:23Speaker 4: their leading rusher? We don't know what we're going to
- 6:26Speaker 4: get in Kiwan Lacy's status for this game.
- 6:28Speaker 3: We don't.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I would say right now, this gut intuition says we
- 6:32Speaker 4: do not see him play. So we've seen them use
- 6:34Speaker 4: other running backs, Lindsey being the main one. We also
- 6:37Speaker 4: saw last week Florida's defensive line make Byron Brown the
- 6:41Speaker 4: leading rusher.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Can you do the same thing?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Byron Brown is a hyper-extensive athlete, and I love Traydad Chambliss,
- 6:47Speaker 4: but Traydad Chambliss does the backyard BS stuff at an
- 6:50Speaker 4: efficiently high rate. You don't want him in open space,
- 6:52Speaker 4: but I'll tell you what, his main goal is to
- 6:54Speaker 4: create opportunities for a wide receiver downfield, not him taking
- 6:58Speaker 4: off running downfield. So if you can go ahead and
- 7:00Speaker 4: make him your leading rusher, what are we talking about
- 7:02Speaker 4: in this game?
- 7:03Speaker 3: 40 yards rushing?
- 7:04Speaker 4: 45 yards rushing? 3.2 yards of play? And now you
- 7:08Speaker 4: gotta beat him deep? If your defensive line can be
- 7:10Speaker 4: able to get after Trinidad Chambliss and kind of make
- 7:13Speaker 4: him play with under duress situations, send some really good
- 7:17Speaker 4: design blitzes.
- 7:18Speaker 3: With Jaden Woods coming off the edge.
- 7:20Speaker 4: This may be enough for even a guy who is superhuman.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Look mortal for a quarter. And mortal for a quarter.
- 7:25Speaker 4: May allow you to be able to get some punts,
- 7:28Speaker 4: maybe be able to allow you to get some good
- 7:30Speaker 4: field position with Vernell Brown in the return and give
- 7:33Speaker 4: Aaron Fowler some room to work. Now on the flip
- 7:35Speaker 4: side for Ole Miss, what I will say is the
- 7:37Speaker 4: main element in this game. If you are John David Baker,
- 7:41Speaker 4: do not fall for the Arthur Smith approach. A team
- 7:45Speaker 4: like Florida does not need much to get back in
- 7:47Speaker 4: the game. And you got a damn good, in my opinion,
- 7:50Speaker 4: the best offensive coordinator on the opposing sideline coming up
- 7:53Speaker 4: with schemes while the defense is on the field of
- 7:55Speaker 4: how to get you to slip. If you take a
- 7:58Speaker 4: 10-point lead, John David Baker, go for the freaking jugular.
- 8:02Speaker 4: You have got to be able to win this one
- 8:05Speaker 4: with the receivers on the outside. A Deuce Alexander, a
- 8:08Speaker 4: Traylon Ray, what you get in the Horatio Fields, get
- 8:12Speaker 4: that vertical passing active and open. Go for the strike.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Don't just try to win with conservative play calling. I
- 8:20Speaker 4: understand that you want to be able to go ahead
- 8:22Speaker 4: and win time possessions as much as possible. But if
- 8:25Speaker 4: you can get Trinidad to look like how he did
- 8:27Speaker 4: in the first half, he needs two minutes and seven plays.
- 8:29Speaker 3: That's all you need. Can you dial up seven plays that.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Is going to continuously attack that second and third level
- 8:35Speaker 4: of the defense that will give you opportunities for first downs,
- 8:39Speaker 4: good plays, and explosive opportunities to be able to punch
- 8:42Speaker 4: your way into the end zone. That's my fear right
- 8:44Speaker 4: now is that they're going to play too conservative in
- 8:46Speaker 4: the second half to allow Florida to get back in.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Keep your damn foot on the pedal and let Trinidad
- 8:51Speaker 4: do what Trinidad did best in the first half at
- 8:53Speaker 4: home last.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Week in Oxford. Tom, you want to go?
- 8:59Speaker 5: To me, this is a Pete Golden game. And I
- 9:02Speaker 5: feel similarly about how it was Summerall and Golish last week.
- 9:05Speaker 5: I love that we're getting to see the future of
- 9:07Speaker 5: the SEC from a coaching standpoint the last handful of weeks.
- 9:10Speaker 5: And I think what Golding proved to the world that
- 9:13Speaker 5: he could do against LSU was very impressive. Granted, it's
- 9:16Speaker 5: against somebody who he knew extremely well. Now going up
- 9:19Speaker 5: against Summerall, this is going to be a different test, obviously.
- 9:22Speaker 5: I said it in our reaction to Ole Miss and LSU.
- 9:25Speaker 5: Ole Miss cannot win. Put the game on Trinidad Chambliss
- 9:30Speaker 5: every single week. Eventually, that is going to break. If
- 9:33Speaker 5: they do not have Kiwan Lacy, and it looks like
- 9:36Speaker 5: they probably won't, what Cole was saying, they have to
- 9:39Speaker 5: commit to running the football, the Rebels. You have to
- 9:42Speaker 5: commit to getting something out of the running game. I
- 9:44Speaker 5: talked about it again coming out of the LSU game.
- 9:47Speaker 5: It was 48 pass attempts and nine carries designed for
- 9:52Speaker 5: Trinidad Chambliss. So you can't keep just doing that every
- 9:55Speaker 5: single week. Do I think if Trinidad was put in
- 9:58Speaker 5: that position again, he could overcome it? this Florida defense?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yes.
- 10:02Speaker 5: I don't think it would be nearly as pretty as
- 10:05Speaker 5: it was this past time out against LSU. I think
- 10:08Speaker 5: he had the home field advantage, the adrenaline, the emotion
- 10:10Speaker 5: of that. And he was just playing unconscious football. The
- 10:13Speaker 5: come down, the let down a little bit from last week,
- 10:16Speaker 5: I think is going to be evident. I don't expect
- 10:18Speaker 5: Trinidad to look like Superman again every single week. This
- 10:22Speaker 5: offense for Ole Miss needs to establish something in the
- 10:25Speaker 5: running game that's going to put him into manageable situations
- 10:28Speaker 5: on second and third down. Meanwhile, I think for Pete Golding,
- 10:31Speaker 5: as I mentioned, defensively, stop Jaden Ball and put the
- 10:35Speaker 5: game on Aaron Filo.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Very simple.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Now, credit to Filo, 73% completion percentage this year, eight
- 10:41Speaker 5: total touchdowns, two picks. He's done a very nice job,
- 10:44Speaker 5: but he is a play-within-the-system type of quarterback. I don't
- 10:48Speaker 5: believe that Philo is the type of guy that if
- 10:50Speaker 5: you put it all on him to get it done
- 10:53Speaker 5: through the air, to get it done with his legs,
- 10:55Speaker 5: that that's going to lead Florida to victory.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Load it up in the box.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Make sure that you're preventing Jaden Ball from really doing
- 11:01Speaker 5: a ton of damage and getting a lot of explosives.
- 11:03Speaker 5: They have wide receivers that can get explosives. But if
- 11:06Speaker 5: you can limit Florida to a handful of explosive plays
- 11:09Speaker 5: here and there and a bevy of free and outs,
- 11:11Speaker 5: then Ole Miss should be in good shape here. But
- 11:14Speaker 5: this is another one that it feels like a coin flip. I,
- 11:16Speaker 5: like many, was surprised that Florida was actually favored in
- 11:19Speaker 5: this game. John Summerall felt the exact same way. I
- 11:22Speaker 5: think Ole Miss ends up winning this. I think it's
- 11:25Speaker 5: going to be a lot uglier than the performance we
- 11:28Speaker 5: saw from Ole Miss against LSU. I think it's just
- 11:31Speaker 5: going to be an ugly game in general. This is
- 11:33Speaker 5: going to feel a little bit leather helmet at times.
- 11:36Speaker 5: So give me Ole Miss 24-20.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I think it's a little higher scoring than that. Um,
- 11:45Speaker 1: my big question is Cole, who has a better defense?
- 11:49Speaker 2: Oh, Mr.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Auburn.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I trust Auburn's play calling more.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I trust Auburn's linebackers more, but I also think that
- 11:56Speaker 4: right now we saw a really good defensive front again
- 11:59Speaker 4: after Sam Leavitt. So it's a toss up. Like I,
- 12:03Speaker 4: I think that I think that they're pretty even, but
- 12:05Speaker 4: that run defense is scary. It's very scary to me.
- 12:08Speaker 4: They're allowing far too many yards after contact. And when
- 12:11Speaker 4: a running back gets going and a mobile quarterback gets going, it.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Becomes a concern and it's not. And I get it.
- 12:17Speaker 3: We can say that. Yeah, we know bad open field
- 12:19Speaker 3: tackle guys. It's not just Sam Leavitt.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Lincoln Keenholds did this and Aaron Philo is not Lincoln
- 12:23Speaker 4: Keenholds with his legs and he's not Sam Leavitt with
- 12:26Speaker 4: his legs, but he's not a statue either.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So it's like, you've got a defense that has a
- 12:32Speaker 1: lot of, has given up a lot of broken tackles
- 12:37Speaker 1: going up against Jaden ball on the other side of
- 12:38Speaker 1: that should terrify them. And I don't know what they've
- 12:42Speaker 1: done over the last, you know, what, It's not the
- 12:44Speaker 1: last six days, but for the six days of LSU
- 12:47Speaker 1: being done and Florida being here, but Jaden ball could
- 12:51Speaker 1: go crazy. If broken tackles are, he goes crazy every week. Anyway,
- 12:55Speaker 1: he could go crazy, crazy, like Trinidad crazy. If, if
- 12:59Speaker 1: broken tackles are a problem for Ole Miss. So I,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I do think they play a little bit better there,
- 13:03Speaker 1: but still not perfect, you know, because he makes good
- 13:06Speaker 1: defenses look bad.
- 13:07Speaker 2: And so not that I'm saying Ole Miss doesn't have
- 13:09Speaker 2: a good defense, but.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I think on the other side, Florida's defense is good,
- 13:15Speaker 1: but I do have questions there and same thing for them.
- 13:20Speaker 1: If I've got questions at all on the defense, which
- 13:23Speaker 1: I like Hanks and I like McLean, I think their
- 13:25Speaker 1: corners are good. Um, I want to see what the
- 13:28Speaker 1: defensive lines pressure looks like. Woods had a really good
- 13:30Speaker 1: week last week. What does the pressure look like against
- 13:33Speaker 1: this Ole Miss front? Um, if you have any questions
- 13:36Speaker 1: at all about this defense, which Summerall has had plenty,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and he's talked about how he hasn't been thrilled with
- 13:41Speaker 1: the defense, though they've been really good outside of kind
- 13:43Speaker 1: of garbage time against Auburn, Trinidad's not the guy you
- 13:47Speaker 1: want to see walking into your stadium, right?
- 13:50Speaker 2: So it goes both ways.
- 13:51Speaker 1: The things Ole Miss can be exploited by, Florida's got
- 13:54Speaker 1: the answers. And the things that Florida can be exploited by,
- 13:57Speaker 1: Trinidad's got the, like this matchup, again, last week, Ole Miss,
- 14:02Speaker 1: LSU got a lot of the hype. This week, I
- 14:04Speaker 1: do think this game is getting a ton of hype,
- 14:06Speaker 1: but a lot of people focus on what's going on
- 14:07Speaker 1: in Knoxville. This game is every bit as good. This
- 14:10Speaker 1: is going to be a phenomenal game in front of
- 14:12Speaker 1: a crowd that we talked about in Knoxville.
- 14:15Speaker 2: This place gets wild, too.
- 14:16Speaker 1: I was there in 2016 for the largest sellout crowd
- 14:19Speaker 1: when they played FSU, largest crowd in that stadium's history.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I was there in 2019 when Florida played No.
- 14:24Speaker 2: 5 Auburn. beat them by two scores. Like this place
- 14:29Speaker 2: gets absolutely berserk.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I was there in 2014, 15, whenever the heave to
- 14:34Speaker 1: cleave was against Tennessee. Like this place goes absolutely bad shit.
- 14:39Speaker 1: And I think it will on Saturday. All that said,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I have drank too much Trinidad Kool-Aid to come off
- 14:47Speaker 1: of it. And I'm going to ride with them. I
- 14:50Speaker 1: have Cole asked what my confidence level, not confidence level,
- 14:53Speaker 1: but like how surprised would you be if it went
- 14:55Speaker 1: the other way?
- 14:56Speaker 2: A one out of 10.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Like this is the biggest coin flip. Like, and that's
- 15:00Speaker 1: what Vegas is telling you. It's a three and a
- 15:02Speaker 1: half point spread. How much is home field worth?
- 15:04Speaker 3: Three points.
- 15:05Speaker 1: This is a, these are two really even teams. These
- 15:08Speaker 1: are two really talented teams. If Lacey was there, maybe
- 15:10Speaker 1: I'd feel a little bit better about Ole Miss, man.
- 15:13Speaker 1: This is going to be a phenomenal game. I like
- 15:16Speaker 1: Ole Miss here, but what I'm really saying is I
- 15:18Speaker 1: like Trinidad here. I think that he's probably the difference.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And if you bet on Trinidad and, To be the
- 15:24Speaker 1: difference in a game, you're going to be right a
- 15:26Speaker 1: whole hell of a lot more than you're wrong. Florida
- 15:28Speaker 1: will probably win this game because I'm picking Ole Miss,
- 15:30Speaker 1: but I'll say the Rebels find a way to get
- 15:32Speaker 1: it done. I can't remember any score that I've given
- 15:36Speaker 1: all week, but it's high, 38-31, something like that, 38-35.
- 15:39Speaker 2: It's a close one.
- 15:42Speaker 3: I mean, I'll be real.
- 15:44Speaker 4: The storyline that's going to be the most impressive in
- 15:46Speaker 4: this game is who gets to pull the wool over
- 15:47Speaker 4: someone's eyes first, Pete Golding or Buster Faulkner.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Let's be honest.
- 15:52Speaker 2: The coordinator matchup in this is, gosh, otherworldly.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah, it's incredible in that matchup.
- 15:58Speaker 4: And I think that's a big reason why I can
- 16:00Speaker 4: see Florida easily winning this game.
- 16:02Speaker 3: There is a word where Florida wins by 10, and
- 16:03Speaker 3: I won't be shocked.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I think they can go away.
- 16:06Speaker 4: Because they can easily just go ahead and say, we're
- 16:08Speaker 4: going to trust what we have of Bob, we're going
- 16:10Speaker 4: to set the tone on the opening drive, we're going
- 16:12Speaker 4: to have a script that is just pinpoint perfect, and
- 16:15Speaker 4: then we're going to do some trickery shit in the
- 16:18Speaker 4: third quarter, and we're going to catch Ole Miss slipping,
- 16:20Speaker 4: and that's when the floodgates come on open, and you
- 16:22Speaker 4: start to realize... Holy crap, Florida is different. And I
- 16:26Speaker 4: think that we can all agree at this point, through
- 16:27Speaker 4: three games, John Summerall's Florida is just different than we've
- 16:31Speaker 4: seen in years past. And it will be different moving forward.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I think that Trinidad Chandler is the best player in
- 16:38Speaker 4: college football right now. And the most impactful player in
- 16:40Speaker 4: college football right now. And I don't think that you
- 16:44Speaker 4: can stop him. I think the big question is how
- 16:46Speaker 4: you stop everything else around him. And I don't know
- 16:49Speaker 4: if you have that answer either right now for Florida.
- 16:51Speaker 4: There still are some questions I have with that defense.
- 16:54Speaker 3: So I'm taking Ole Miss.
- 16:55Speaker 4: I'm going to go 38-34. I think that you are
- 16:58Speaker 4: going to see Ole Miss be behind. The man has
- 17:01Speaker 4: nine fourth quarter comebacks. He's going to make a 10
- 17:04Speaker 4: in this game.
- 17:05Speaker 5: I like Adam's point here in the chat. Time of
- 17:07Speaker 5: possession is going to matter. If I'm Florida, you're working
- 17:10Speaker 5: deep into the play clock almost every single time. And
- 17:13Speaker 5: the matchup I'm really going to be paying attention to
- 17:16Speaker 5: is the wide receivers, the pass catchers from Florida up
- 17:19Speaker 5: against this secondary of Ole Miss because they're this is
- 17:22Speaker 5: going to be better than what Ole Miss dealt with
- 17:24Speaker 5: against LSU in terms of pass hit. So I'm very
- 17:27Speaker 5: excited to see what that matchup looks like, but I'm
- 17:30Speaker 5: still going to lean with Trinidad and Ole Miss.
- 17:32Speaker 3: God, we all picked Ole Miss.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Damn it.
- 17:36Speaker 1: I got something to say, boys. Everybody just, you know
- 17:40Speaker 1: how it happens on game day. I'm just getting this
- 17:42Speaker 1: ready so that when you guys clip this for Saturday,
- 17:44Speaker 1: when you guys, when whoever is watching this show clips
- 17:47Speaker 1: this on Saturday.
- 17:48Speaker 2: Night, I did the work for you.
- 17:50Speaker 3: Yep.
- 17:51Speaker 2: We're admitting it. Okay.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Congratulations to Florida for pulling out a win in the swamp. Again,
- 17:57Speaker 1: just great job, guys. I was hoping that I would
- 18:01Speaker 1: be the only hater. Cole's a freaking Gator fan, basically.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I know.
- 18:05Speaker 3: I hate it. I have a play on Trinidad Heisman odds.
- 18:09Speaker 2: It's hard.
- 18:10Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:11Speaker 2: But again, this is such a, Oh man, it's such
- 18:13Speaker 2: a good game.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I can't time out. If Florida wins in the top
- 18:18Speaker 3: 10 or no.
- 18:20Speaker 2: It should be, should absolutely be.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I think they will be a lot.
- 18:23Speaker 1: They won't be because preseason or AP voters do not
- 18:27Speaker 1: like to move off their preseason odds. Pete does the
- 18:29Speaker 1: best job of explaining this as anybody in the, in
- 18:31Speaker 1: the country. But yeah, they're there. Florida should be already
- 18:35Speaker 1: top 15, but, uh, Yeah. They don't like to move
- 18:39Speaker 1: off their preseason. Oh, we thought of this team as a,
- 18:42Speaker 1: as a top team.
- 18:43Speaker 2: We're not moving them off of it. Um, why is
- 18:45Speaker 2: Oregon ranked? Why is Texas A & M ranked? Um,
- 18:48Speaker 2: so yeah, they should be top 10.
- 18:49Speaker 1: They are a top 10 in the team in the
- 18:50Speaker 1: country if they win this game, but, but I don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: think they will be just based on the voting.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Better one. Ole Miss wins number one in the country.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Again, they won't be unless Texas loses.
- 19:01Speaker 3: If Texas loses, then maybe.
- 19:04Speaker 1: And then at that point, you have to give Texas
- 19:06Speaker 1: a lot of credit, too. Now, Ole Miss would have
- 19:08Speaker 1: three great wins. Texas would have two. But Texas did
- 19:11Speaker 1: take down number one. So I'd be fine with that.
- 19:14Speaker 1: If Ole Miss wins, they should be number two, in
- 19:15Speaker 1: my opinion. But they should be number two right now.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Yes, agreed.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Because Ole Miss's resume is better than Texas's right now.
- 19:21Speaker 5: You would potentially have to penalize Georgia for beating Texas.
- 19:25Speaker 5: flimsy Oklahoma team right now and penalize Notre Dame for
- 19:28Speaker 5: beating a bad Purdue team.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Which is fine. I'd penalize Notre Dame.
- 19:32Speaker 5: To the point you were just saying, Ole Miss, in
- 19:35Speaker 5: my opinion, if they win this, they are the best
- 19:37Speaker 5: team in the country. Would they be ranked as such?
- 19:40Speaker 5: I don't know because the AP is stupid.
- 19:42Speaker 3: They would have the best resume. And yes, the AP
- 19:44Speaker 3: is stupid. It's not just Cokie Riley. We hate all
- 19:46Speaker 3: of you equally.
