Transcript
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: This is The Opinionated Ogre Podcast,
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: your weekly rampage through current events with a little snark,
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: a bit of foul language, and a lot of strong opinions.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: There are two episodes every Thursday,
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: and they're not safe for work or polite company of any kind whatsoever.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: I am your podcast host.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: And I will not be getting smuggled out of an airplane on a catering cart and leaving
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: a bunch of other people to act as decoys.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Florida woman had some car troubles this morning, which required immediate attention.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: But also did not require using other people as living decoys.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Because that is not how we roll here at the Og Pod.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Now, this is the recording for August 13th, 2016.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: And we have a lot to get to on episode 109 of the Og Pod.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: Are we ready to do this, Ogre Nation?
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Hell yes we are.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: So let's get to it.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: It's time for the Ogre Nation news update.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Quick note about what I just mentioned, the New York Times Air Force One story.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: Now we know why Trump lost his fucking shit over it.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: If you haven't heard about this yet, remember a couple of weeks ago, the story...
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: The story broke that Trump had to use the old Air Force One
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: because his new one was not up to snuff.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: It wasn't ready.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: So the rest of the story was, and now we know why Trump was so mad about it.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: They had to sneak him out of his plane on the catering carts.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: We're not talking about the little tiny catering cart.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: They didn't shove him in a little tiny cart and roll him out.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: These are the big giant carts they have.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: So they snuck them into one of those.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm sure the flight crew knew because they're the flight crew,
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: but they didn't tell the reporters who were on the plane that they didn't tell.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: And the plane took off and they were none the wiser and they were used pretty much
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: as bait, as decoys.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Now, the part of him being snuck out, I know he's embarrassed about that, right?
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Because he had to sneak But honestly, that's not really the embarrassing thing.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: It was clever and it worked.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And that's exactly how you want Secret Service to do its thing to keep the president safe.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: They do shit like that in the movies all the time.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: And we watch it, we go, wow, that was really clever.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: You know, they snuck him out and blah, blah, blah.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: The whole point is to keep the president safe and however they have to do it,
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: whatever clever shit they have to come up with.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it may seem weird at the time,
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: but the whole point is sleight of hand, keep the president safe.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Ha ha ha, we fooled you.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's the point.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Even if it seems weird at the time, that's their job.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: The actual embarrassing part,
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: and I think this is what they didn't want to get out, is that they left.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: They left everyone else behind to die if something actually happened.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Reporters and civilians.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: The catering carts, they're large.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: They're like 30 feet long.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: They could have emptied themselves.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: They put that cart out onto the plane,
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: put every reporter on board,
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: including non-essential personnel like flight attendants,
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: and cleared them all out of the plane.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: And the pilots would have flown without question.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: They did.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: That's their job.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: They threw it proudly, even for a piece of shit like Donald Trump.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: But they threw all the other people on that plane under the bus.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I get that Secret Service has to put the president's safety above all else.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: That is their function.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: But if Trump
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: Trump had ordered them to take everybody else.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: They would have done it because when the president tells you to fucking do it, you do it.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: You don't have a choice.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: He's giving you an order.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: And it wasn't like it was an imminent threat.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Like if someone's shooting at you,
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: if someone's shooting at the president,
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Secret Service is going to knock him on his ass and drag him away.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: And they're not going to listen to a fucking word he says when it comes to save other people.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: They're like, we don't give a shit.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: We're saving you.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: That's our fucking job also to take a bullet.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: But this wasn't an imminent someone shooting at us threat.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: This was, there's a possibility we're in danger.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Okay, fine.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: We'll get these other people off the plane too because we can do it in a way
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: that no one's going to know.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: But Trump didn't say anything because he...
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: He's a fucking coward who only thinks about himself.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: That's the embarrassing part.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: That's the fucking scandal here.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: And I think that is why he didn't want this story coming out
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: because it makes him look like Selfish, cowardly piece of shit, which he is.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: Joe Biden,
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: if Joe Biden had to do this,
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: he would have come out and said, hey, this happened and I did not want to do this.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: But they told me it was the only fucking way to do it safely.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: This was not my this was not a decision I wanted to make.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: But I was told this was the only way to do it and ensure my safety.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: And I did not like it.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: And he probably would have wanted.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: I want it put on the fucking record.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: I did not like this.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: I didn't want it done.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: I didn't like it.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: And I objected.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: But Trump, I guarantee, did not object at all because he's Trump and he doesn't fucking care.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: So whatever.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: What are you going to do?
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: Now let's move on.
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: When the Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship,
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: we said here on the Agpad,
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: this was not the end of the battle because it was very clear
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: that birthright citizenship had become the new abortion fight.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Ten years ago, the idea that children born in the United States shouldn't be given citizenship.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: Automatically was a fringe idea on the far, far right.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: Pre-Trump conservatives didn't give that any attention whatsoever
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: because it was like, that's whatever, right?
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: That's stupid.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: But as we've said numerous times, the fringe of the right never stays the fringe.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: As Stephen Miller has led the Nazification of the Republican Party,
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: ending birthright citizenship has become a real issue for these fuckers.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Weeks after the Supreme Court narrowly upheld the Constitution,
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: the black and white letter of the Constitution,
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: allies of the regime held a meeting about their plans to make the issue
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: the next Roe v.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: Wade because,
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: after all, they need red meat to feed their base of rabid, lunatic racists.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: And what better victims than the brown immigrant children?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: According to a political report,
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: because Politico, but,
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: you know, sometimes they don't bother lying.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: Several conservative lawyers,
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: including Iowa Solicitor General Eric Westman,
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: a bunch of immigrant hawks,
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: and former Trump aides have had a meeting over coffee in July.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: And they plotted how they could begin this campaign to target birthright citizenship.
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: And they made it clear this was going to be a decades-long battle.
- 7:46SPEAKER_01: Much like the one they waged against abortion rights starting 50 fucking years ago.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: Quote, they turned birthright citizenship into the next Roe v.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: Wade that we're going to have to spend the next 50 years overturning,
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: Mike Davis,
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: the founder of the Article 3 Project,
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: a Trump-aligned legal organization, said at the event.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: They have destroyed our most crucial sovereign power as we the people,
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: which is our sovereignty, controlling who comes and goes and who becomes one of us.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Last week,
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: Trump continued his effort to make America white again
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: and once again announced executive orders to limit birthright citizenship,
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: despite the Supreme Court ruling just a month ago that he can't do that.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: The first executive order expanded the existing definitions of non-citizens
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: whose kids aren't eligible for birthright citizenship.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: The Supreme Court just said he couldn't do.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: Parents who,
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: kids whose parents, quote, are engaged in fraudulent activity to obtain citizenship.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: Again, that's irrelevant.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: It doesn't matter what they're doing because it doesn't matter if they're successful.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: That's what the Constitution says.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: It also says,
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: You're a citizen.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: And any babies that are born in
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: That gets a little wobbly because territories,
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: if it's considered the United States,
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: you're a citizen because it's the United States.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: If you're living in a territory, you're a citizen.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: And that's considered under control of the United States.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: It's a territory and you have the rights of a citizen there.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: Your kid's a citizen.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, why is it a territory?
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: These fucking people.
- 10:12SPEAKER_01: The second executive order directs the Secretary of Homeland Now,
- 10:15SPEAKER_01: that's really fucking interesting because for a while...
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: I don't know if they're still doing it,
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: but there were a lot of Russians were coming to the United States because that was
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: a thing for a while.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: I know they love screaming about birth tourism,
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: but the only ones that I ever heard of that were doing
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: an actual birth tourism thing were the Russians.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: And I'm really super curious if they're going to stop Russian women from coming here
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: or if they're just going to target Now,
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Stephen Miller,
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: American's Joseph Goebbels,
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: was standing next to Trump when he signed the EOs and declared,
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: He also said the real reason pregnant tourists come to America is to have kids
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: who have access to welfare benefits.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: Can vote.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: And all the other rights and privileges that belong solely to Americans.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: And honestly,
- 11:33SPEAKER_01: we here at the AgPod think it is a real fucking shame
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: that Stephen Miller's mother didn't abort him.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: Birth terrorism is really not approved.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: That is a problem that they want boomers,
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: Gen X and maggots to believe that it is less than 10,000 tourists gave birth
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: in America in 2024.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: That is of the millions of tourists that came here.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: Millions.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: So we're not even talking a percent of a percent.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: And that's according to government data.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: So Jesus fucking Christ.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: This is just the latest bullshit issue that's meant to drive racist morons to the voting booth.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: And like we talked about last week,
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Trump has closed the border and made it hard to migrate here without documentation.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: So they need something new to focus on.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: And here it is.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: Birth tourism.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: They've taken this issue and they've attached it to birthright citizenship in
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: the hope that they can limit this because it's something deeply,
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: deeply racist white nationalists.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: And this is quite literally...
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: The same blueprint the right used for abortion.
- 13:01SPEAKER_01: They're going to pick at it over and over and over, non-fucking-stop.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: They're going to carve out a little exception here
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: and another little exception there,
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: and they're going to get the courts to weaken it just a little bit at a time.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: And while convincing the public that it's a huge problem that just can't be allowed
- 13:17SPEAKER_01: to continue, we have to do something about it.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: Have to.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: And they're going to move the conversation to the right again and again and
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: a fucking again while the press continues.
- 13:28SPEAKER_01: Reframes upholding the plain language of the Constitution as left-wing extremism
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: because that's what the fucking press does.
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: And once it becomes a full-blown culture war issue,
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: left versus right,
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: it doesn't matter what the Constitution actually says in plain fucking English.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: All that's going to matter is who has the power to do what they want and if
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: the Supreme Court Because it's that simple.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: They'll just get rid of it.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: Because they can.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: So, fuck these people.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: Let us move on to Mr. Art of the Deal's incredible, amazing, super awesome economy.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: Now that he's in charge, it's the best it's ever been.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: In fact, it's doing so well, we lost 26,000 jobs last month.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: No, that's bad.
- 14:38SPEAKER_01: Oh, shit.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: Okay, so anyway,
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: we were supposed to add 95,000 jobs, and no, that is not what fucking happened.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: The Department of Labor reports that we actually did lose 26,000 jobs,
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: and that's a huge old flashing warning.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: Now, that means in June, we went from...
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: What did we get?
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: We were supposed to have like plus 26,000 jobs and we ended up getting like zero.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And the month before, we had 170,000 jobs and that lost 70 something.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: So it dropped down to 100,000 jobs.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: That just sucks.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: The last two months was just crap.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: Overall, for the last three months, we had a combined total of maybe...
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Summers in the area of 70,000 jobs added in the last three months combined.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: The last 18 months has been possibly the worst set of job numbers since the Great Recession.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: But, hey.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: Best economy ever.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: Economists have been shocked, surprised.
- 16:01SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness, how's this happening?
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: But we out here in the real world, we've been feeling this for months.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: Florida woman says, because she...
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: Helped with the notes before she went and had her problem.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Earlier this year,
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: her husband, Mr.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: Florida Woman,
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: filled out dozens, like over six dozen job applications all around the state.
- 16:23SPEAKER_01: And he only had a handful of interviews.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: And none of those led to a job.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: And his story is not unique.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: And while this is only anecdotal,
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: she wants you to know she's heard the same story All over local Facebook groups down
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: in Florida from other people.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: So it's a fucking train wreck out there.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: And Lila,
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: my daughter,
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: spent most of the summer looking for a job before she She finally found something at
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: a farmer's market.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: And mind you, summer, there should be tons and tons of summer jobs.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: She couldn't find shit, and she put in a ton of fucking applications, right?
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: But the stock market and the AI boom, Oh my God, everything's fucking awesome.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: No, it's not.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: And this is supported by Nick Puckrin.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: He's a former Goldman Sachs analyst and market expert.
- 17:17SPEAKER_01: He told CBS, quote, hiring has gone into reverse.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: The economy is...
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: We actually shed jobs last month,
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: and it turns out many of the jobs we thought were here
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: in previous months never really existed.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: But that's okay.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Kevin Hassett,
- 17:30SPEAKER_01: Trump Economic Advisor and Director of National Economics Council,
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: he came out and he did, oh my God, he fucking humiliated me.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: That's what he did.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: He just made an absolute fucking ass of himself.
- 17:42SPEAKER_01: He came out on Fox News on Friday,
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: and I swear to God, he blamed snow, teachers, and the World Cup for bad job numbers.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: He said...
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Quote, one,
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: there was a big decline in government employment,
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: which is partly because of Doge and Publicos.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: There was so much snow over the winter and that there were extra school days at
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: the end of the year.
- 18:05SPEAKER_01: So the normal time when teachers would take summer off was June.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: But a lot of that pushed into July.
- 18:10SPEAKER_01: So when they show up as a layoff in July and the end of the World Cup meant that
- 18:14SPEAKER_01: a lot of hospitality workers were laid off after the World Cup ended.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, my God.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: The Bureau of Labor Statistics disagrees.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: According to the federal agency,
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: it was actually employment in local government education
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: that hemorrhaged 50,000 jobs.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: There was little change over the leisure and hospitality industries.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: And what makes it even more humiliating that Hassett said this out loud is
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: that he is a professional economist,
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: literally a Anyone who has ever looked at a monthly jobs report,
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: like me,
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: knows the Bureau adjusts for seasonal and temporary jobs,
- 18:51SPEAKER_01: like, for instance, teachers being off for the summer and events
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: That doesn't show up in the data because it would skew the numbers.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: They actually know how to account for that sort of thing.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: If I know this,
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: Kevin Hassett knows this,
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: which means he's lying and doing it so badly,
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: a five-year-old would do a better job if they were caught with their hand in
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: the fucking cookie jar.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: And if Hassett doesn't know it,
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: he's too fucking stupid to be an economist and the University
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: of Pennsylvania should demand he give back his degree.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: Now, if the jobs market wasn't bad enough, the Trump regime is going after leaders.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: Lisa Cook, the Fed governor again, because of course they fucking are.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: Deputy White House Chief of Staff Daniel Scavino sent Cook a letter informing her
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: that she has 21 days to respond to allegations that she committed mortgage fraud.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: The letter stated,
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: even if your conduct does not rise to the letter of felony offense,
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: it appears to demonstrate a level of gross negligence in financial transactions
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: that calls into question your competence and trustworthiness as
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: a financial regulator.
- 20:00SPEAKER_00: Rawr, rawr, rawr, rawr, rawr, rawr.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: Abe Lowell,
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Cook's attorney,
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: released a statement calling the allegations baseless and accused Trump of trying
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: to, quote, interfere with the independence of the Federal Reserve.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: The move comes after the Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that Cook could not be removed without cause.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: The regime is just now trying to establish that Even though
- 20:20SPEAKER_01: the DOJ has not indicted her for alleged crimes
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: because they don't have any fucking evidence to support the allegations.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: This is just trash.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: They want to get rid of her because she's black and they're trying to take control
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: of the Fed from top to bottom so they can use it to manipulate the economy in ways
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: that will cause hyperinflation.
- 20:45SPEAKER_01: Trump is a moron and all fucking dictators try to manipulate the economy,
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: which leads to very, very bad things.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: But they can't leave it alone.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: The economy is already starting to crumble and Trump He wants to manipulate
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: the interest rates because he thinks that will help him, and it won't.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: It will just make things worse.
- 21:12SPEAKER_01: He's in constant conflict.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: What's his name?
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: Kevin Warsh, the head of the Fed right now, the guy he put in charge.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: And they keep saying, oh, no, he's not really talking to them that often.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: They're not in contact.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: They aren't.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: We're in constant contact because this guy is his puppet and they're going
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: to do terrible things and it's going to be a fucking disaster.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: But sure, whatever.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: When it happens,
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: when everything crashes,
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: I'm sure they'll just blame birthright citizenship and immigrants and trans kids
- 21:50SPEAKER_01: because of course they'll be their fault somehow.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: Right now,
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: we are going to get to my personal,
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: personal favorite,
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: What you
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: May God have mercy on your soul.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: Sammy, Lila, her tuition is somewhere in the area of $19,000 to $20,000 a semester.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: So, Yahoo.
- 22:24SPEAKER_01: Fortunately, I don't have to pay for that.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Her mom does.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: But when Anastasia goes in two years...
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: Me and Mrs. Ogre will be paying for that.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: So college is a coming.
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: So we originally were going to do a section on ice.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: You scream ice cream.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: We all scream because fucking ice.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: But that's a Florida woman and she's not here.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: So we're going to do Trump and vaccines.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: If you missed it,
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: Trump put out some executive orders and federal guidelines murdering children.
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: And I can say that because he's going to murder children.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: What he's doing...
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: He doesn't give a shit about this because he doesn't understand it.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: He doesn't really care.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: But he's surrounded by anti-vaxxers.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: And this is all part of Project 2025 because they're a fucking death cult.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: So I'm reading this off from what did Donald Trump do today?
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: They put out the newsletter.
- 23:29SPEAKER_01: They put this out.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: Trump's order reduces the diseases for which vaccines are universally recommended to 11.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: It was much higher.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: It relegates others to high-risk or shared clinical decision-making categories,
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: pushes eventually to separate the MMR,
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: so measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine, into three individual shots.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Now, this is something the anti-vaxxers have been screaming about for decades.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, now,
- 24:23SPEAKER_01: Trump made a huge fucking stink about this in the Oval Office.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: Like, oh my God, yeah,
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: I've seen the children getting these vaccines pumped into them and talking about how
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: the amount of it is like, Soda bottles and gallons and vats are so huge, right?
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: Which is, if you have children, you've watched him get these injections.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: It's a fucking syringe and they're small.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Even for a fucking baby, it's a little tiny syringe.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: They have a vaccine.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Maybe two shots.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: At most, three.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: And they're still tiny little fucking syringes.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: They're not giant fucking needles.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: They're not, you know, huge amounts of liquid.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: They're just boop.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Syringes.
- 25:12SPEAKER_01: So no fucking idea what he's talking about.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: It's just gibberish.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: And a reporter did be like, what are you talking about?
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: What evidence do you have for this?
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: Trump didn't have any.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: It's all bullshit.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: It's all fucking validation.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: And they're going to do studies.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: They're going to do studies to check on this stuff.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: It's like, okay,
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: but if you're saying that you have to separate these vaccines and you have
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: to do less of them because...
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: Because it's dangerous.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: Why are you doing the studies looking for proof?
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: If you don't have the studies to back it up, then you're looking for proof.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: And
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: of course, they're all saying they always say the same thing, right?
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: RFK on his his crazy foaming at the mouth, rabid interview last week.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's just what the medical industry says.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: That's what the healthcare industry says.
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: You just repeated what they say.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: And it's like, okay, so anything that shows what you don't want to hear is fake.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: It's all lies because you don't want to believe it,
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: but you don't have any proof, so we're supposed to believe you.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: You literally have no evidence whatsoever, but we're supposed to believe you over...
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: Literally half a century plus of study after study after study after fucking study
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: that shows everything you're saying is a fucking lie.
- 26:56SPEAKER_01: Everything you say is a fucking lie that you can't prove even one fucking thing.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: Not one fucking thing you're saying is true.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Everything they say...
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: They have multiple studies in different countries,
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: in different circumstances,
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: involving hundreds of thousands of fucking children and adults and men,
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: women, girls.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: You can't prove one single thing.
- 27:33SPEAKER_01: And when they do these fucking studies,
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: I promise you they will suppress the results they don't want.
- 27:40SPEAKER_01: They will not.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: They're going to cherry pick it.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: They're going to warp the fucking findings and they're going to not release the data.
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: They won't release the raw data because they don't want actual fucking science.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: They don't have a single shred of proof for this stuff
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: and they're still fucking insinuating that vaccines cause autism.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: Which again, they've done dozens and dozens of fucking studies.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: Some of them involving hundreds of thousands of children.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: And there is no link between autism and vacations.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: It's a fucking lie and they can't prove it.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: So they're just going to lie about it over and over again.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: Now the problem here with splitting the vaccines and making So,
- 28:47SPEAKER_01: for a family like mine,
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: we were able to, because we had good insurance, we could keep going to the doctor.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: It's a pain in the ass.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: But we could keep going.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: We could take our kids to the doctor again and again and again and again and again.
- 29:05SPEAKER_01: And we could have done this, right?
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: If we had to go 20 different times over the course of three years just
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: to We could have done that.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: But if you have to take off of work,
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: if you live in a rural area and it takes you an hour to get to the doctor,
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: you're not going to be able to do that, which means you're this this.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: This is if you want to do it, mind you.
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: That means you have to miss work.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: You have to drive a long fucking distance,
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: which takes time, which again, if you're working, you can't.
- 29:40SPEAKER_01: Or if gas costs a billion fucking dollars for your
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: And
- 29:53SPEAKER_01: that's assuming you don't have co-pays, right?
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: Just co-pays alone.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: Every time you bring your kid to the doctor, it costs another $30.
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: That adds up very, very fucking quickly.
- 30:04SPEAKER_01: So now you're looking at hundreds and hundreds of dollars just
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: to make sure your kid has vaccines.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: And at that point, it's like...
- 30:12SPEAKER_01: Maybe I can skip this one.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Or maybe I can skip that one.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: And then next thing you know, your kid has fucking measles.
- 30:19SPEAKER_01: And they're either blind,
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: swelling of the brain, because that's the type of shit that measles does to you.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: Or they end up getting sterilized because that's the type of shit.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: And that's never mind all the other delightful diseases that are popping up again.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: They found polio in New York because people aren't getting their kids vaccinated
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: because right now.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Robert F. Kennedy and all the crazy fucking morons are telling people, do not vaccinate.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: It's dangerous.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: So they're killing children.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: They're killing them.
- 30:57SPEAKER_01: As if...
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Somehow Democrats are the ones killing their kids with childhood diseases
- 31:17SPEAKER_01: that we've been telling them for years.
- 31:19SPEAKER_01: Get the fucking shots.
- 31:21SPEAKER_01: Get the fucking vaccines.
- 31:23SPEAKER_01: And they were like, well, no, I don't need that.
- 31:26SPEAKER_01: I want my child.
- 31:29SPEAKER_01: And they're going to start blaming us for it.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: I guarantee you when there starts to be mass casualty events from fucking diseases
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: that we haven't seen in generations, they're going to blame immigrants.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: And it's like, isn't it weird that never happened until you stop taking vaccines?
- 31:46SPEAKER_01: You don't?
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: You don't see the link there.
- 31:58SPEAKER_01: You don't see how that could possibly be related somehow.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: Maybe if you do the fucking vaccines and shut the fuck up about being,
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: you know, I did my own research.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: No, you didn't.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: You went on Wikipedia.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: You went on YouTube or TikTok.
- 32:12SPEAKER_01: And you listen to a guy who sounds like he gargles fucking rocks and
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: then chugs fucking raccoon cum.
- 32:18SPEAKER_01: You're a moron.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, that's what they're doing now.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: They're just a bunch of...
- 32:25SPEAKER_01: It's a fucking death cult.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: And I fucking hate these people.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: I swear to God,
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: I want nothing more than Robert F.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: Kennedy to die from a slow, painful form of cancer.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: And I don't...
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: Desperately, desperately want it to be something slow, inoperable, and excruciating.
- 32:46SPEAKER_01: The type of thing that he's inflicting on so many other fucking people.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: Something that cannot fucking be cured because he...
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: He's destroying cancer research.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: He's destroying vaccine research.
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: And I just want him to suffer so fucking much before he dies screaming in agony
- 33:05SPEAKER_01: because he's a monster and so are all the people around him.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: All right, we need to move on here because I will rant about this for the next three hours.
- 33:14SPEAKER_01: And while that might be fun for me, it probably won't be fun for you.
- 33:19SPEAKER_01: It is time for headlines for short
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: attention.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Well, it happened.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: The YOLO caucus caved like a house made out of paper bags
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: and confirmed Todd Blanche's attorney general.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: I'm sure nothing's going to go wrong there.
- 33:35SPEAKER_01: After the confirmation hearings we saw and his behavior thus far, we guarantee a...
- 33:40SPEAKER_01: All Democrats and Republicans, Senator Lisa McCartney,
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: And Susan Collins, because she's still trying to save her ass, voted against him.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: Senator Bill Cassidy,
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: the guy Trump got fired and the genius who gave
- 34:05SPEAKER_01: a secretary brainworm slash anti-vaxxer,
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: became the key vote that got Blanche through.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: What a piece of shit.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: He didn't have to do this.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: He's not going to be senator anymore, but he still fucking did it.
- 34:17SPEAKER_01: And he did his best to defend himself on Sunday in an interview
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: with Margaret Brennan on CBS's Face the Nation.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: Cassidy claimed that he was super concerned about the $1 billion.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: When Brennan asked him if he was worried about Blanche wouldn't uphold
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: the Constitution,
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: he said, no,
- 34:42SPEAKER_01: there isn't always existential anxiety about whether or not
- 34:45SPEAKER_01: an attorney general is going to follow the Constitution.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: That only happens when Republicans are in office because they have No respect for
- 34:51SPEAKER_01: the rule of law.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: If a Democratic senator had something like that after voting for Eric Holder,
- 34:57SPEAKER_01: Loretta Lynch,
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: or Merrick Garland, the press would have flamed them to a fucking crisp.
- 35:04SPEAKER_01: It would have been the biggest mistake.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: But, you know, America complete with bipartisan panels on all networks.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: No big fucking deal.
- 35:13SPEAKER_01: Kennedy, Cassidy admits he has no idea if Blanche will follow the rule of law.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: And nothing.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: Nothing.
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: It's just another fucking day on the news.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: And why?
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: Because Republicans are not held to a lower standard.
- 35:25SPEAKER_01: They're held to no standard at all.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: So fuck this timeline.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: Joe Biden's cancer has spread, unfortunately.
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Hunter Biden sat down with the BBC last week and revealed the former president is in
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: a lot of pain now that the cancer has metastasized.
- 35:43SPEAKER_01: Hunter explained that even though his dad's health is getting worse,
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: he's still speaking out on issues that are important to him.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: He's still doing his thing, Hunter said.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: He so believes in this country.
- 35:52SPEAKER_01: And We just want to say we firmly believe that the way the Democrats turned
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: against Biden is one of the saddest displays
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: of political cowardice we've ever witnessed.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: After serving this country for decades, the way he was treated was fucking disgusting.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: And yes, he should not have run again.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: And yes, he should not have waited until there was 107 days left to go to drop out.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: But Jesus fucking Christ, the way it was handled is always going to piss us off.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: And fuck Jake Tapper and everyone else.
- 36:22SPEAKER_01: So, Iran has casually reminded Trump that we lost the war by making demands.
- 36:37SPEAKER_01: Politico is breathlessly reporting these new demands as dramatic.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: And here they are.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Tell me if these demands seem new or dramatic to you.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: The United States must never threaten Iran again,
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: the statement said, and must The Opinionated Ogre, opinionatedogre.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: Now, if you're feeling a weird sense of deja vu,
- 37:13SPEAKER_01: that's because we've literally heard these demands before.
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: We were,
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: in fact,
- 37:18SPEAKER_01: going to give Iran a bunch of this stuff just a month ago before Trump's ego Got
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: the best of him.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: And we, yet again, started lobbing bombs and missiles at them.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: So why is Iran acting like it's in a position to make demands
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: while offering absolutely nothing of value in return other than opening
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: the straight-of-form Because we fucking lost this war and everyone knows it.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Why did we lose?
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: Because we approached this war like a drunken frat boy in Vegas with mommy
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: and daddy's credit card.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: No matter how loudly Trump and Hex Seth scream otherwise,
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: all of the reporting is saying the same thing.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: We severely depleted our defensive defense.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: And offensive missiles in a reckless opening gambit that completely failed.
- 38:08SPEAKER_01: Now we're running on fumes and Trump is so bad at bluffing.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: Iran is just laughing at him.
- 38:14SPEAKER_01: He keeps talking about how we're going to attack.
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: We can't.
- 38:18SPEAKER_01: We tried and we didn't.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: And now we do not have the capability of launching that kind of thing.
- 38:32SPEAKER_01: We are not willing to go with a full ground invasion.
- 38:38SPEAKER_01: So Iran knows this and they don't give a shit about Trump fuming and jumping up
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: and down and crying and whining.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: They know he can't back it up.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: There's no military Viagra for Trump.
- 38:50SPEAKER_01: So he's limp and they know it.
- 38:53SPEAKER_01: Now, a quick side note here.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: The New York Times reporting on this story talks about how Russia
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: and China are watching us for signs of weakness.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: And I, for one, would like to know what the actual fuck they're talking about.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: China?
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, China's I'm sure as well.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: And they're losing.
- 39:10SPEAKER_01: What are they going to do?
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: Invade Europe?
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: Europe that's in the current
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: The one that's chronically underfunded and
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: And undersupplied?
- 39:41SPEAKER_01: Are they going to go to war with the United States, perhaps?
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: Sure, we may be low on missiles, but we still have all of our tanks and planes and guns.
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: And hey, our troops haven't been in a major warfare.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: They're not worn to the bone like Russia's military,
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: and they're still the most highly trained killing force in history.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: But sure,
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: New York Times,
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: Russia's eyeing our depleted missile stockpile and waiting to make its move.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: Any fucking time now.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: Definitely, that's what Russia's doing.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: Let me move on here.
- 40:16SPEAKER_01: Last week,
- 40:17SPEAKER_01: we talked about Representative Max Miller,
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: the Republican credibly accused of breaking his toddler's collarbone
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: and beating his ex-wife.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: The deadline passed for him to get off the ballot and he refused to leave the race.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: That's a theme with We are talking about a Republican base that glorifies patriarchy
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: and sadistic cruelty.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: And again, we have to point out that the press crusaded against Graham Plattner.
- 40:51SPEAKER_01: And gee, isn't it weird?
- 40:53SPEAKER_01: They don't seem to be nearly as outraged at the guy who snapped the collarbone of a baby.
- 40:57SPEAKER_01: And like we never, ever get tired of saying, Republicans are not held to a lowest standard.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: They're held to no fucking standard at all.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: All right, let's wrap up headlines with some good news.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: Republicans have thrown in the towel on the SAVE Act and they fucked off for the summer.
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: Trump has been demanding Senate Republicans pass the massive Voter Suppression Act all year.
- 41:21SPEAKER_01: And they've been refusing.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: The bill does not have the votes.
- 41:27SPEAKER_01: And the reason for this is Republicans are well aware
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: that cutting off every American who does not have a passport from the ability
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: to vote will wipe We've discussed this repeatedly.
- 41:37SPEAKER_01: Trump is not
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: And a Democrat in the White House in control of red state elections is the end of
- 41:59SPEAKER_01: the Republican Party.
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: Not because they would rig the election,
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: but because Republicans wouldn't be able to And that will mean not passing
- 42:07SPEAKER_01: the SAVE Act, which they won't have time to include.
- 42:20SPEAKER_01: They're not ready.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: They have to focus on maintaining their majority.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: That means pouring at least half a billion dollars each into Maine,
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: Michigan,
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: and Texas and praying to God that Trump keeps his fucking mouth shut and
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: the economy doesn't plode until after the ballots are cast.
- 42:55SPEAKER_01: So good luck, you fascist scumbags.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: You're going to need it.
- 42:58SPEAKER_01: In the meantime, the SAVE Act is dead.
- 43:01SPEAKER_01: It's super unlikely Republicans are going to try to ram it through the lame duck session.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: And once Democrats take control of the House and probably the Senate,
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: Trump's dreams of seizing control of the elections
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: through unconstitutional laws is dead forever,
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: which means he's probably going to have to go for another coup.
- 43:19SPEAKER_01: And that's not going to be nearly as easy as he thinks it will.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: So good luck, buddy.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: We're all not rooting for you.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: Fuck off.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 43:27SPEAKER_01: It's time for some self-care of the week.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: This is a very, very, very sad week for me.
- 43:33SPEAKER_01: This is it.
- 43:35SPEAKER_01: Lila leaves for college.
- 43:36SPEAKER_01: I'm totally fine with this.
- 43:38SPEAKER_01: No, I am not at all.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: Sad Sunday.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: A couple of days ago,
- 43:43SPEAKER_01: I took Anastasia and Lila out to lunch and we sat and we ate and we laughed for
- 43:48SPEAKER_01: a couple of hours over Japanese, which is our go-to when we go out.
- 43:52SPEAKER_01: I take them out every couple of months.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: We go out and it's pretty much always Japanese food.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: We love Japanese food.
- 43:59SPEAKER_01: Monday night, which today recording on Tuesday, this would have been yesterday.
- 44:03SPEAKER_01: Monday night, we had white people tacos and pie from our favorite local pie place.
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: And we had a great time.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: June was over.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: So.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: It was all of us.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: We all had white people tacos over next door at Claudia's place.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: And then we spent like two hours after that playing Heads Up,
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: which is, I forgot what game it is.
- 44:24SPEAKER_01: Like, it's the one where you like,
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: you hold up the thing and it tells you, It has a word or a phrase or whatever.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Everyone has to tell you stuff in order for you to guess what it is.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: We love that game.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: We play it like every holiday or every time we get together as a family.
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: We all love it and it's great.
- 44:39SPEAKER_01: We had an awesome time.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: It's hilarious that We really enjoy it.
- 44:58SPEAKER_01: And it was nice because we hadn't seen June for like a week or so.
- 45:03SPEAKER_01: And she's also going to college and we're not going to see her for a while
- 45:07SPEAKER_01: because she won't be away at college.
- 45:09SPEAKER_01: So it was nice to be able to say goodbye, give her a big hug.
- 45:12SPEAKER_01: Say adios.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: We'll see you soon.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: And Lila's going to spend the rest of the week packing,
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: getting her last minute appointments done.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: She's on her way up to Baltimore right now.
- 45:24SPEAKER_01: She's going to see BTS, which has been like her...
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: That was like her first K-pop love.
- 45:30SPEAKER_01: And she's always wanted to go see them,
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: but she's never had the chance because they went on hiatus like four years ago,
- 45:38SPEAKER_01: five years ago.
- 45:39SPEAKER_01: So they didn't break up.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: They're from South Korea and military service is mandatory there.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: So they all did their mandatory military service.
- 45:49SPEAKER_01: So they You know,
- 45:50SPEAKER_01: they were temporary on break and now they're back together and they're on tour
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: and it's a big deal.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: And she finally gets to see them right before she goes to college.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: So this is a big deal.
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: So she's spending the day up in Baltimore.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: She's going to go see them tonight.
- 46:03SPEAKER_01: And she's super excited about it.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: It's like,
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: it's been a dream of hers for literally,
- 46:08SPEAKER_01: I don't know,
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: Eight years, nine years at this point, almost as long as we've known her.
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: She's been foaming at the mouth about BTS.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: So it's a huge deal.
- 46:17SPEAKER_01: She'll be back tomorrow where she's going to finish packing.
- 46:21SPEAKER_01: Then Friday, we drive her.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: We're down to her school, unpack her stuff, and we say goodbye.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: Me and Anastasia are going to go.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: We're going to bring our car.
- 46:32SPEAKER_01: We're going to pack a bunch of her stuff.
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: She'll be with her mother.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: She's going to have a bunch of her stuff.
- 46:37SPEAKER_01: Jordan will be...
- 46:39SPEAKER_01: With Mrs. Ogre at work.
- 46:41SPEAKER_01: We'll bring her down.
- 46:42SPEAKER_01: Mrs. Ogre said goodbye.
- 46:43SPEAKER_01: She's going to say goodbye tomorrow.
- 46:45SPEAKER_01: Jordan and Mrs. Ogre will say goodbye tomorrow night.
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: And we'll drive down on Friday.
- 46:49SPEAKER_01: And we'll say goodbye.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: And, you know, there definitely won't be any crying at all.
- 46:53SPEAKER_01: None at all.
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 46:55SPEAKER_01: Definitely not.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: And then that's it.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: Then she'll be gone.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: And I don't know when we'll see her again after that.
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: Maybe in a month we'll go down and visit and,
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: you know, take her out to lunch and grocery shopping.
- 47:09SPEAKER_01: But I don't know.
- 47:10SPEAKER_01: And that's not fun.
- 47:13SPEAKER_01: Not looking forward to that.
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: And it's going to hurt because she's my little girl.
- 47:18SPEAKER_01: I've raised her for the last 10 years and I'm not looking forward to this at all.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: I'm very excited she's going to school, but I am not excited for her not to be here anymore.
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: And that sucks.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: She's only two hours away, which is, thank God, she's relatively local.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: You know, she was like four, five, six hours away.
- 47:37SPEAKER_01: That would have been so much worse because
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: then we definitely wouldn't have been able to visit her that often
- 47:42SPEAKER_01: because it would have been too far.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: But, you know...
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: This is a happy medium.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: It's close enough for us to get to, but far enough that she's not local.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: But it is what it is.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: This is the next chapter.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: This is what happens.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: Your kids grow up, and they go on to do their stuff.
- 47:59SPEAKER_01: But she's going to have friends there.
- 48:01SPEAKER_01: She's going to have June there.
- 48:03SPEAKER_01: They're still stupidly in love, which makes me very, very happy.
- 48:07SPEAKER_01: And she's going to be okay.
- 48:10SPEAKER_01: And I'm super happy for her, and I'm just going to miss her a lot.
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: Because she's, you know, she's my little girl and stuff.
- 48:18SPEAKER_01: But I wish I could say I talked to her on the phone, but her generation does not do phones.
- 48:23SPEAKER_01: They text, but they don't talk on the phone and they don't do video calls, that sort of thing.
- 48:27SPEAKER_01: Not really.
- 48:28SPEAKER_01: We'll see.
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: I'll be fine eventually.
- 48:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 48:31SPEAKER_01: What are you going to do?
- 48:33SPEAKER_01: All right, that is it for today's show.

- 49:43SPEAKER_01: Remember, you are never alone.

- 49:59SPEAKER_01: I will definitely not be sad in any way at all.
- 50:01SPEAKER_01: Don't worry about it.
- 50:02SPEAKER_01: I'll be fine.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: And presumably Florida Woman will be back,
- 50:06SPEAKER_01: you know, assuming her kid's car doesn't break down again.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: And I'll see you guys later.
- 50:12SPEAKER_01: Thanks for sticking around for a solo show and catch you next week.
- 50:16SPEAKER_01: Bye.
