- 0:34Speaker 1: You know what?
- 0:34Speaker 2: I'm a little bit nervous, though, Candice.
- 0:35Speaker 5: Why?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Because I'm going to tell you right now. I might
- 0:38Speaker 2: not be here tomorrow.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Why?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Because I think I'm going to get recruited today.
- 0:42Speaker 6: You're going to get a new job today?
- 0:44Speaker 1: Here he goes. I might get a new job.
- 0:46Speaker 6: Where?
- 0:47Speaker 1: Well, because I'm going out to hang out with the
- 0:49Speaker 1: Tarrant County Sheriff's Office today.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 0:52Speaker 1: I'm going to their job fair.
- 0:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:54Speaker 1: And everybody should come out. It's going to be one
- 0:55Speaker 1: to three. We're going to Fort Worth today. Yeah, I mean,
- 0:58Speaker 1: it's going to be fun. Sheriff Opdahl, he's the best, right? Yes,
- 1:00Speaker 1: that's my boy.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Sheriff Opdahl, though, knows what an asset I would be.
- 1:04Speaker 1: For sure.
- 1:05Speaker 6: I mean, that's kind of always been your low-key dream.
- 1:08Speaker 6: Billy PD is what I call you.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Right. And I don't know if they want me to
- 1:11Speaker 1: be a sheriff, forensics expert, detention officer. I don't know.
- 1:15Speaker 1: So I'm going to get out there today and come
- 1:18Speaker 1: see me because it might be the last thing I
- 1:19Speaker 1: do in public.
- 1:20Speaker 6: Wow.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I might go undercover. He mentioned that.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Oh, that's a good idea.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I mean, but how are you going to do that
- 1:24Speaker 2: and do this job?
- 1:25Speaker 1: Well, I know.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I might have to quit this job.
- 1:27Speaker 6: Well, you could start there at like 11. Can't you
- 1:30Speaker 6: get an 11 o'clock shift over there?
- 1:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I'll ask him. But either way, they're
- 1:32Speaker 1: having their job fair today. So shout out to Sheriff Abdel.
- 1:35Speaker 1: We're going to see him later on this afternoon. But
- 1:37Speaker 1: come out. It's from like 1 to 3. And, you know,
- 1:39Speaker 1: you can test on site and do all this stuff.
- 1:41Speaker 1: No experience needed. So I'm kind of excited. That's great.
- 1:44Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It pays good.
- 1:45Speaker 2: So you can get a job today.
- 1:47Speaker 6: And you know every episode of Cops.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Right. Yeah, you do. And obviously I don't need to
- 1:50Speaker 1: go to school because I've watched so much live PD
- 1:53Speaker 1: and Cops.
- 1:53Speaker 6: It serves as your training, right?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Exactly. Yeah. So I could do hostage negotiating at this point.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I could do anything.
- 1:59Speaker 4: What?
- 2:00Speaker 6: Oh, well, that's exciting.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So, yeah, it is exciting, but hopefully I'll be here tomorrow. So,
- 2:05Speaker 2: we'll see.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 2:06Speaker 2: They might recruit Pooh, too. They might want you.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Me?
- 2:09Speaker 6: Or, like, the people listening? You listening?
- 2:11Speaker 2: No, they might want you as the sheriff's operative.
- 2:14Speaker 4: Oh. Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yeah, special op. Special ops.
- 2:17Speaker 6: That's good.
- 2:18Speaker 2: That's what they wanted me in for.
- 2:19Speaker 7: I forgot.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Yeah. Okay.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, special. Extra special.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Either way, we'll see them out there.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Extra special ops. Extra special ops.
- 2:27Speaker 6: Well, good luck with that.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm going to go do the basic stuff.
- 2:31Speaker 6: Yeah, do you have to take your resume?
- 2:33Speaker 1: Oh, no, no, no.
- 2:34Speaker 2: It speaks for itself.
- 2:35Speaker 6: Okay.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Nice.
- 2:36Speaker 6: No.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, all I have to show is my, you know,
- 2:39Speaker 1: maybe my Netflix or something and show them how many
- 2:41Speaker 1: episodes of Cops I've watched.
- 2:42Speaker 4: Oh, yeah?
- 2:42Speaker 6: Is that your number one watched show on Netflix?
- 2:45Speaker 1: And I think they're just going to give me a badge.
- 2:48Speaker 1: And he listens to podcasts, so, you know. That's true.
- 2:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:51Speaker 2: And I do, yeah, true crime podcasts and stuff.
- 2:53Speaker 1: For sure. I've solved so many.
- 2:54Speaker 6: You're checking every box right now for Tarrant County?
- 2:56Speaker 1: Well, Sheriff Abdallah, he goes, I've heard you've solved so
- 2:59Speaker 1: many Dateline cases.
- 3:01Speaker 4: What?
- 3:01Speaker 2: And I was like, I have.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Before I even get to the ending, I'm like, I'll
- 3:04Speaker 1: tell you who did it and what happened.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 3:07Speaker 6: You were pretty good at that.
- 3:08Speaker 2: We could use that.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 6: Did you ever play Clue?
- 3:10Speaker 4: No.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I was doing real crimes.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Yeah. All right.
- 3:13Speaker 2: You play those little board games.
- 3:14Speaker 6: That was my jam back in the day.
- 3:16Speaker 1: He tackled a couple of people when Chris Hansen used
- 3:18Speaker 1: to be on it.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Well, we don't really talk about that anymore.
- 3:23Speaker 6: Yeah, you signed an NDA, right?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Oh, a couple. Yeah, be careful.
- 3:27Speaker 2: A couple of them.
- 3:28Speaker 6: Be careful. Don't say too much.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So we'll be out there this afternoon in Fort Worth.
- 3:31Speaker 2: How are you, Candace?
- 3:32Speaker 6: I'm good, except I just saw something that kind of
- 3:34Speaker 6: made me sad this morning.
- 3:36Speaker 1: What?
- 3:36Speaker 6: Did you guys know that Starburst is now a Boomer
- 3:40Speaker 6: Halloween candy, supposedly?
- 3:42Speaker 1: No, it's not. No, it's not.
- 3:43Speaker 6: Dude, well, I just saw this list of favorite Boomer
- 3:46Speaker 6: Halloween candy, and Starburst was number six behind Butterscotch. It
- 3:50Speaker 6: can't be that Boomer-y.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Boomer-y.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Butterscotch is absolutely deserving to be on that list.
- 3:57Speaker 6: Well, yeah, and so are Werther's, number one.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Can we go over this list later, actually?
- 4:01Speaker 6: Yeah, we can, but I just saw that Starburst was
- 4:04Speaker 6: on the list, and that made me upset.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Yeah, there's no reason for that. Although Starburst.
- 4:09Speaker 6: I know, I'll say Starbucks. Starburst.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I know, you got me saying Starbucks. Although Starburst, though,
- 4:15Speaker 1: the only good flavor is orange and pink.
- 4:17Speaker 6: For sure.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Yep.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Everything else can get thrown in the trash immediately.
- 4:21Speaker 6: They should have sold the all pink packs only.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I know. Yellow tastes like pledge. Who's out here eating
- 4:27Speaker 1: lemon Starburst? I know.
- 4:30Speaker 6: Maybe that's what it is. Maybe it's just the lemon
- 4:32Speaker 6: Starburst or Boomer candies.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Throw them in the Tarrant County jail immediately.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Well, good.
- 4:39Speaker 1: All right.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Well, we're not a Boomer, but Pooh is. What's up, Pooh?
- 4:42Speaker 1: Oh, no, you didn't. All right, y'all.
- 4:44Speaker 7: We got to say happy birthday to Dr. Morgan May,
- 4:47Speaker 7: my sister. Today is her birthday.
- 4:49Speaker 1: She's like, I never ask you for anything, but all
- 4:52Speaker 1: y'all better say happy birthday to me. So I was like, yes.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Morgan.
- 4:55Speaker 2: It's Morgan's birthday.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Morgan. She's already at work.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Matter of fact, I got something special for Morgan real quick.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Oh, you do?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Hello.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Here's a happy birthday announcement you can use for your listeners.
- 5:06Speaker 1: When is their birthday? Happy birthday to you. Morgan May.
- 5:10Speaker 5: Happy birthday to you.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Morgan. Happy birthday. I love it. Happy birthday.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Yay.
- 5:19Speaker 2: There you go.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Good for her.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Yeah, a doctor speaks 17 languages.
- 5:22Speaker 6: Yes, she does.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And who can barely speak English?
- 5:25Speaker 1: 102.9.
- 5:27Speaker 4: The new Mix 102.9. It's Texas Top.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Stories on the 10s with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 5:35Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9. Oh, yes.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Bright and early on a Tuesday morning.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Candace Lopez, what.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Is going on?
- 5:41Speaker 6: Well, we're going to have above normal temperatures today before
- 5:43Speaker 6: that cold front gets here by Friday. We'll get up
- 5:46Speaker 6: to 92 today. That's 10 to 15 degrees above normal.
- 5:49Speaker 6: It's 78 right now. But Friday, by Friday, we're good.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Back in the 70s.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Now, I saw something. I don't want to spread rumors.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I saw Saturday's temp.
- 5:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:58Speaker 1: And the high was 67. I hope that happens. I'm
- 6:02Speaker 1: talking 67. Crispy. Crispy PSL degree. Start the fire. Put
- 6:08Speaker 1: up the Christmas tree.
- 6:09Speaker 4: No.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Merry Christmas.
- 6:10Speaker 4: No.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Mariah's here.
- 6:12Speaker 6: No, she's not.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yes, she is.
- 6:15Speaker 6: Stop.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Saturday, this is being replayed nonstop.
- 6:19Speaker 1: No, it's not.
- 6:22Speaker 6: Once we get into the 40s, you can do that.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:24Speaker 2: No, I'm doing it.
- 6:25Speaker 4: No.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Okay, she's still frozen. But Saturday, she wakes up. No. Yes,
- 6:30Speaker 1: she does.
- 6:32Speaker 6: Guys, actress Selma Blair was arrested and charged with assault
- 6:35Speaker 6: after an alleged altercation with flight attendants on a Delta
- 6:38Speaker 6: flight to New York. A rep for Selma says she
- 6:41Speaker 6: experienced a medical emergency on the flight. She reportedly punched
- 6:46Speaker 6: a flight attendant, bit another flight crew member. One of
- 6:50Speaker 6: them was taken to the hospital. She was also taken
- 6:52Speaker 6: to the hospital for evaluation. Her attorney said she boarded
- 6:56Speaker 6: the flight after extensive hours on set, that she fell
- 6:59Speaker 6: and hit her head on the plane and that she
- 7:02Speaker 6: missed her medication. You know, she suffers from MS. It's
- 7:05Speaker 6: been really hard to watch her. you know, decline and
- 7:08Speaker 6: suffering from, you know, MS over the years.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 1: That's not good.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 6: She, I guess back in 2016 was also removed from
- 7:15Speaker 6: an international flight, you know, after mistakenly mixing alcohol with medication. Um,
- 7:19Speaker 6: so I'll keep you updated on that one. Investigation is ongoing.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You know, it's sad too, is, I mean, listen, she
- 7:26Speaker 1: had an episode. Yeah. But if you get put on
- 7:28Speaker 1: the no-fly list and you're her and you've got to
- 7:30Speaker 1: travel for work, what do you do?
- 7:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know.
- 7:32Speaker 1: And, I mean, I hope she's okay because obviously this
- 7:35Speaker 1: is a mental breakdown.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Right.
- 7:37Speaker 6: Yeah, they said she was in stable condition.
- 7:39Speaker 2: But why do people have to have these on planes?
- 7:41Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 7:42Speaker 1: That's the scary part. Right.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Yeah, it's stressful, I guess.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Imagine you're on a plane and you see Selma Blair.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Right.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Freaking out and trying to bite people.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Like, I'm duct taping her to the seat immediately.
- 7:53Speaker 6: I mean, yeah, that's possible for sure.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Are you the guy that's going to get up and
- 7:58Speaker 1: be like, hey, what's going on? Like, I'm going to
- 8:01Speaker 1: be the guy who's getting up. No, I'll take poo
- 8:03Speaker 1: and duct tape him to the seat. I'm not going
- 8:07Speaker 1: to sit there and wait for this guy. Let's see
- 8:08Speaker 1: if he opens the door.
- 8:09Speaker 6: Do you bring your own duct tape?
- 8:11Speaker 1: Yeah. You do? Okay. Yeah. That's obvious reasons. I don't
- 8:15Speaker 1: want to go back into it, but that's exactly why
- 8:17Speaker 1: the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office wants me. Okay. I'm always prepared.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I got some right now. You want to duct tape
- 8:21Speaker 2: who to the scene?
- 8:22Speaker 1: Oh, my God. No.
- 8:24Speaker 6: No. Guys, Instagram would like to apologize for a glitch
- 8:28Speaker 6: in their system that keeps suggesting creed in Instagram stories.
- 8:32Speaker 6: This is funny because I was posting a story the
- 8:35Speaker 6: other day and I thought, oh, that's interesting. Why do
- 8:37Speaker 6: they want me to use hire for this? Because, you know,
- 8:39Speaker 6: they can kind of see what you're posting and try
- 8:41Speaker 6: to suggest something that makes sense for your video. Instagram
- 8:45Speaker 6: is investigating and says they did not make a deal
- 8:48Speaker 6: with Creed to promote the song. Yeah, so if you're
- 8:52Speaker 6: seeing higher.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I mean, I don't understand what the problem is.
- 8:55Speaker 6: No, I don't either.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Why do people hate on Creed? I hope they.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Suggest it all the time.
- 9:02Speaker 6: It did seem kind of random for me to see
- 9:05Speaker 6: it pop up. And I just thought, oh, yeah, people
- 9:06Speaker 6: are using it. You know, they thought the same thing
- 9:08Speaker 6: with Soulja Boy. But apparently they said Turn My Swag
- 9:11Speaker 6: On was actually popular at the time on IG. So
- 9:16Speaker 6: speaking of Soulja Boy, did you see he teased a
- 9:18Speaker 6: potential run for president in 2028?
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm exhausted.
- 9:23Speaker 4: I know.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Now that should be arrestable.
- 9:25Speaker 6: Yeah, he posted a picture in front of the flag
- 9:28Speaker 6: with the word Soulja Boy. 2028 says he would focus
- 9:31Speaker 6: on four things. Economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education, and
- 9:35Speaker 6: the future of tech and AI.
- 9:36Speaker 1: You know what?
- 9:37Speaker 2: At this point, I might vote for him.
- 9:39Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. He's definitely in the running.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Are we really doing Soulja Boy for president?
- 9:42Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 9:43Speaker 2: And the funny part is.
- 9:45Speaker 1: It's not even like a year where he's relevant.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Right.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Why don't you do this when you were popular?
- 9:51Speaker 5: Well, yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 2: And now you're going to do it?
- 9:53Speaker 1: When was that? I don't know.
- 9:54Speaker 2: A long time ago.
- 9:55Speaker 1: 07, 08.
- 9:55Speaker 7: It was popular.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Right. I don't get it.
- 9:59Speaker 6: Well, nobody paid attention to the president back then.
- 10:01Speaker 3: No.
- 10:01Speaker 4: You know.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 10:02Speaker 6: Now you have to.
- 10:03Speaker 2: But that was like when Kanye. If Kanye didn't win.
- 10:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 10:06Speaker 6: 2020, was that when Kanye?
- 10:09Speaker 2: You're not winning, Soulja Boy.
- 10:11Speaker 4: All right.
- 10:11Speaker 6: I'll keep you posted on the campaign, guys. I'm Candace Lopez.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 10:16Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid. Candice Lopez is here. Producer
- 10:20Speaker 1: Poo is here. Let's do it. Let's get you in.
- 10:22Speaker 1: We're going to be out there at Thrillvania this Saturday.
- 10:24Speaker 1: The place is amazing. We're going to be smashing pumpkins,
- 10:27Speaker 1: filled with prizes, but you've got to win your spot.
- 10:29Speaker 1: So we'll do it right now for first call of
- 10:32Speaker 1: the day all week, and then 4 o'clock again with
- 10:34Speaker 1: Zan later on this afternoon.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Let's get you in. Let's win you some stuff.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Who's this?
- 10:37Speaker 3: This is Ashley.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Ashley, what's up, Ashley? Guess what?
- 10:40Speaker 2: You're caller number one.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Congratulations!
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm so excited. That is crazy.
- 10:46Speaker 1: There you go. I thought I lost you for a minute. Congrats.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Ashley, where are you from?
- 10:51Speaker 3: I'm from Annis, Texas.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Annis. All right. Well, hey, you'll be out there Saturday.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You're going to smash a pumpkin. There'll be surprises and
- 10:58Speaker 1: it'll be a good time. So thank you so much.
- 11:00Speaker 1: What are you doing right now?
- 11:01Speaker 3: I am driving an hour to work.
- 11:05Speaker 2: You're driving an hour to work?
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Every day. Where do you go?
- 11:10Speaker 3: I work in Plano.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Man, can't you work from home?
- 11:16Speaker 3: I still can, and it is remote, but it's beneficial
- 11:21Speaker 3: being in the office.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right.
- 11:23Speaker 2: So you like seeing people and talking to people? That's weird.
- 11:27Speaker 4: I know, right?
- 11:29Speaker 3: And I'm on the phone all day long with people.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's the crazy thing. No, that's good. Listen, I like
- 11:35Speaker 1: being in the office, too. I like seeing people and interacting. Well,
- 11:38Speaker 1: thank you, Ashley. We appreciate you for listening. Thank you.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Have a great day and stay right there, okay?
- 11:43Speaker 3: Okay, sounds good.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I like it. All right, Ashley's going to.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Be out there.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So see?
- 11:46Speaker 8: Cool.
- 11:46Speaker 1: We're starting our VIP list. Yeah, it'll be fun. We'll
- 11:49Speaker 1: do it again 4 o'clock with Zan or tomorrow again
- 11:51Speaker 1: for First Call of the Day. Are you ready for
- 11:52Speaker 1: some real or fake news?
- 11:54Speaker 6: Yes.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Let's do it because the news is crazy. I feel
- 11:56Speaker 1: like it's extra crazy the last couple days.
- 11:58Speaker 6: No, for sure.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Who knows? All right, three headlines.
- 12:00Speaker 2: You've got to tell me which one is fake.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Headline number one, South Carolina woman suing funeral home after
- 12:06Speaker 1: she says wrong body was in her mother's casket. What
- 12:11Speaker 1: is wrong with these funeral homes?
- 12:12Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 12:13Speaker 1: How do you misplace a body? Lately, a South Carolina
- 12:15Speaker 1: woman suing funeral home after she says wrong body was
- 12:19Speaker 1: in her mom's casket.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You're like, who's this dude? All right, next headline.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Only 9% of people would walk through a cemetery at
- 12:29Speaker 1: night without a light or a weapon.
- 12:32Speaker 6: Okay.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Only 9% of people would walk through a cemetery at
- 12:35Speaker 1: night without a light or a weapon.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Headline number three.
- 12:40Speaker 1: P.E.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Teacher arrested for teaching first graders while drunk.
- 12:45Speaker 1: P.E. teacher arrested for teaching first graders while drunk. You
- 12:51Speaker 1: got three headlines right there. You got to tell me
- 12:53Speaker 1: which one is fake. Candace, you want to go first
- 12:55Speaker 1: or you could pass it. to La Poo Poo. What
- 12:57Speaker 1: you want to do?
- 12:58Speaker 6: I'm a little foggy today. I'm going to pass it
- 12:59Speaker 6: to La Poo Poo.
- 13:00Speaker 1: You are a little foggy, aren't you?
- 13:02Speaker 6: Yeah, go for it, Poo.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Okay, Poo.
- 13:03Speaker 1: What do you think? He's always foggy. Yeah. I'm going
- 13:06Speaker 1: to go with that last story. P.E. teacher arrested for
- 13:09Speaker 1: teacher P.E. drunk. Okay.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You want to lock that in?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Lock it in.
- 13:12Speaker 2: The way you said that, I thought you were drunk
- 13:13Speaker 2: for a minute.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Doing those jumping jacks. All right.
- 13:16Speaker 4: No.
- 13:18Speaker 2: You are officially locked in.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Now, Candace Lopez, which one do you think is the
- 13:21Speaker 1: fake story?
- 13:22Speaker 6: Ooh, lock me in for that second story. The cemetery story?
- 13:25Speaker 4: Really?
- 13:26Speaker 1: Why?
- 13:26Speaker 6: People walking through without a light?
- 13:27Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:28Speaker 2: You don't think, you think people would do that or
- 13:30Speaker 2: not do that?
- 13:30Speaker 6: I think it's more people wouldn't do that.
- 13:32Speaker 1: More people?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Okay, so you're saying that's pretty low.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Right.
- 13:34Speaker 2: All right, stay right there. Let's lock you in. Is
- 13:36Speaker 2: the locked in button working?
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yes, it is. There it is.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I'll hold it up. Yeah, please don't. Please don't. Don't
- 13:43Speaker 1: ever say I oiled it up ever again. You are
- 13:46Speaker 1: locked in. And the winner today is... Oh, wow.
- 13:50Speaker 2: The winner today.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Candice Lopez! Congratulations, Candice.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 13:59Speaker 2: All right, yeah, you won. Actually, that was a real headline,
- 14:02Speaker 2: but I changed the number.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 14:04Speaker 1: So you know what's going on.
- 14:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 2: And you were right. It was more than 9%.
- 14:08Speaker 6: I feel like it's close to half.
- 14:09Speaker 1: No, but it still wasn't as much as I thought.
- 14:11Speaker 1: So only 17%. Oh, wow.
- 14:15Speaker 6: That's still pretty low.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Of people said they would walk through a cemetery at
- 14:18Speaker 1: night without a light or a weapon.
- 14:19Speaker 4: Huh.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Which, I don't know, would you do that?
- 14:22Speaker 4: No.
- 14:23Speaker 1: You know what's funny? Is I think that's the least
- 14:26Speaker 1: scariest place of most places.
- 14:27Speaker 4: What?
- 14:28Speaker 1: You know what I mean? I bet you Billy would
- 14:30Speaker 1: do it. You would do it.
- 14:31Speaker 2: I would walk through a cemetery at night without a light.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Or a weapon.
- 14:33Speaker 6: Why do I need to do that? There's just no
- 14:35Speaker 6: need for me to ever do that.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Yeah, for what? Candace, you don't have to, but I'm
- 14:39Speaker 1: just saying, I mean, if somebody said, hey, I'll give
- 14:40Speaker 1: you a hundred bucks to walk through this cemetery with
- 14:44Speaker 1: no light or weapon, would you do it?
- 14:45Speaker 2: You don't have a weapon anyway.
- 14:46Speaker 6: No, I don't.
- 14:47Speaker 1: You got your shoe. You got a chancla.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Okay. You wouldn't do it for a hundred bucks?
- 14:52Speaker 4: No.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Really? Yeah, no. Oh, I would.
- 14:55Speaker 6: Those places are big.
- 14:57Speaker 1: For $ 100? Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I would do it for free. It's interesting.
- 14:59Speaker 1: No.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Yeah, you would.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Pay me.
- 15:02Speaker 6: Y'all go do it.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Who, you want to do it?
- 15:06Speaker 1: I'll stay in the cars. Are you paying me? I'll
- 15:08Speaker 1: do it. I do it for free.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Cemeteries don't scare me.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:10Speaker 2: What's going to happen? Oh, you think a ghost is
- 15:12Speaker 2: going to... It doesn't happen.
- 15:13Speaker 6: I mean, I don't want to walk anywhere in the
- 15:14Speaker 6: dark without a light.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Do you hold your breath when you go past cemeteries, too?
- 15:18Speaker 4: No.
- 15:19Speaker 2: You've never heard of that?
- 15:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Hold your breath while we're driving past the cemetery so
- 15:23Speaker 1: the souls don't get in your body.
- 15:25Speaker 4: What?
- 15:26Speaker 6: That's so weird.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I ain't doing that.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You've never done that?
- 15:29Speaker 4: No.
- 15:29Speaker 6: No, I like say a little prayer to myself.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You do?
- 15:32Speaker 6: You keep driving, yeah.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Oh, every time you pass the cemetery?
- 15:36Speaker 4: Wow.
- 15:37Speaker 2: I've never really done that. Maybe I should start doing that.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I turn the music down when I pass the cemetery.
- 15:42Speaker 6: You do?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I do. Why?
- 15:43Speaker 2: No, you don't.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I do. I do.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Why would you do that? I got made fun of
- 15:47Speaker 1: because I do it. Yeah, I do. Why? I just,
- 15:49Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 15:50Speaker 2: That's the exact opposite of what I do.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Or if I see a funeral.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Procession, like I turn the radio off while they drive by.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Well, okay.
- 15:57Speaker 2: That's respectful.
- 15:58Speaker 1: But why?
- 15:59Speaker 2: You don't think dead people want to hear music? That's
- 16:02Speaker 2: the thing I'd miss the most.
- 16:04Speaker 1: No. I mean, seriously.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Cardi B.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Like, actually, I do the opposite. I drive by and
- 16:10Speaker 2: I'm like, turn this up.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Turn this up.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Come on let's get up everybody put your hands up
- 16:19Speaker 1: come on grandma you don't fit there's no pain anymore
- 16:23Speaker 1: so cash money take it to the next level i
- 16:32Speaker 1: haven't seen nana move like that in a while who
- 16:38Speaker 1: doesn't turn his music down I've driven past 100 cemeteries,
- 16:42Speaker 1: and if anything, I heard him scream one time, sucks
- 16:44Speaker 1: to be you. Oh, who? Yeah.
- 16:47Speaker 4: No.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Sucks to be you. No, he wouldn't do that. All right,
- 16:53Speaker 1: let's get to the real stories, okay? Oh, yeah, this
- 16:56Speaker 1: South Carolina woman, she's suing the funeral home because she said,
- 17:00Speaker 1: The wrong body was placed in her mother's casket.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Why are we so dark today?
- 17:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 17:04Speaker 6: What's up with you?
- 17:05Speaker 2: I knew Candace was going to hate all these.
- 17:08Speaker 1: According to the lawsuit, Iris Gordon paid more than $ 13, 000
- 17:12Speaker 1: to the Ocean View Funeral Home. By the way, Ocean
- 17:14Speaker 1: View Funeral Home, no Ocean View. That's your first mistake. Right.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Garden View, no garden. Ocean View, no view.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Either way, she showed up and she's like, who's this?
- 17:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:28Speaker 2: They're like, oh, that's not your mom? No, it's not.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Let me go.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Check the back real quick.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That's Carl.
- 17:36Speaker 6: Check the back.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Well, obviously, Pooh is doing inventory.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Either way, lawsuit claims the funeral homeowner later admitted a
- 17:45Speaker 1: mistake had been made. And yeah, they missed up the viewing.
- 17:49Speaker 1: So I guess they had mom in another room or something.
- 17:52Speaker 1: That's awful.
- 17:54Speaker 2: It's not that big of a deal.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Wheel it around.
- 17:57Speaker 6: Yes, it is.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Wheel it around.
- 17:59Speaker 6: It's a marriage deal.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Hey, we got to swap rooms.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yeah. Sorry.
- 18:03Speaker 2: You know, do you move rooms or do you move bodies?
- 18:05Speaker 1: Whatever. All right.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Well, Candace, why are you so uptight?
- 18:08Speaker 6: Let's talk about something fun.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Wait, was that all the stories?
- 18:11Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh.
- 18:13Speaker 1: No, the PE teacher. Oh, the PE teacher. God, you
- 18:14Speaker 1: guys suck. You're so distracted by your dark stories.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Well, I can't find the PE story. Yeah, he was drunk.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I had this story. Either way, it turns out this
- 18:25Speaker 1: first grade teacher, a PE teacher, they were going in.
- 18:30Speaker 1: The kids were like, we don't do anything the whole class. Yeah.
- 18:34Speaker 2: We just kind of sit there.
- 18:35Speaker 4: Right.
- 18:36Speaker 1: And they're like, well, that's weird. So the parents are
- 18:38Speaker 1: getting complaints. The parents were like, hey. I'm going to
- 18:41Speaker 1: call the principal and see what's going on. Principal's like, well,
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm going to try to stop by one day and
- 18:45Speaker 1: see what's happening. And they stop by one day, and
- 18:48Speaker 1: the kids are just playing dodgeball and just losing their mind.
- 18:52Speaker 1: And the teacher's in the corner sipping on a little
- 18:54Speaker 1: something drunk.
- 18:55Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Yeah, it's got to be dodgeball day or just relay
- 19:00Speaker 6: day where you just run relays the whole time. Why
- 19:02Speaker 6: are we doing this?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I never did that. I was going to run these
- 19:04Speaker 1: kids to their tire.
- 19:06Speaker 4: No.
- 19:06Speaker 6: Oh, we did.
- 19:07Speaker 2: We like played, I mean, we played tag a lot.
- 19:09Speaker 4: Oh.
- 19:09Speaker 1: You ever play TV tag?
- 19:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Mr. Friar, our drunk PE teacher, he used to make
- 19:16Speaker 1: us play TV tag all the time.
- 19:17Speaker 6: I forgot all about that. What was it? You had
- 19:19Speaker 6: to say a TV show?
- 19:20Speaker 1: So I'd be running towards you and like you had
- 19:22Speaker 1: to say a TV show to be safe. oh okay
- 19:25Speaker 1: so i'm about to tag you and you'd be like
- 19:26Speaker 1: cops and i'd be like oh you're safe that's right
- 19:30Speaker 1: but if you didn't if you couldn't think of one
- 19:31Speaker 1: quick then you're out that's.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Right i forgot about tv tag should we.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Play tv tag nobody.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Plays that anymore because i don't watch tv.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Yeah we could play like youtube tag exactly i like
- 19:45Speaker 1: it hopefully you're having a good tuesday so far it's
- 19:48Speaker 1: mix 102.9 appealing Kid, Candice Lopez, Producer Poo is here.
- 19:52Speaker 1: We got a dirty little secret at 7.30. Also giving
- 19:54Speaker 1: away some money. We got the cash cow. So if
- 19:56Speaker 1: you want $ 1, 000, your chance at that money, we'll do
- 19:59Speaker 1: that around 8.40, and then we'll do it all day.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So listen to win.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Okay. I love a good list. No surprise there. We
- 20:06Speaker 1: know I love a list.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I also love candy that I've stopped eating because I'm
- 20:11Speaker 1: trying to watch what I do.
- 20:12Speaker 2: And that sucks.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yeah. But around Halloween, that makes it really hard. They
- 20:17Speaker 1: came out with a list of the best, and I
- 20:18Speaker 1: think you talked about it. You mentioned it earlier.
- 20:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I was just shocked by this.
- 20:22Speaker 2: The best boomer candy.
- 20:23Speaker 1: What? Which, to us, is everything because, I mean, our
- 20:28Speaker 1: parents are pretty much boomers, right?
- 20:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Our parents boomers?
- 20:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 2: So this is kind of the candy we grew up on.
- 20:34Speaker 6: It's people like age 62 to 80.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:36Speaker 1: 62 to 80. So like, yeah. But my mom is
- 20:40Speaker 1: a boomer.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Same.
- 20:41Speaker 1: So, yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 2: So, okay. Pooh's a boomer.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Noah.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:44Speaker 6: 62 counts.
- 20:47Speaker 1: 62 counts.
- 20:49Speaker 2: You're right in there.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I know people always ask me, they're like, is Pooh
- 20:52Speaker 1: really 62? And I'm like, I think he's older.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Who knows?
- 20:57Speaker 1: I don't know what he's doing over there. Okay, so
- 20:59Speaker 1: they ranked them. They ranked it the best from worst
- 21:02Speaker 1: to best. I don't even know if it's worst to best.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Either way, it's the top 10. I'm going to go
- 21:06Speaker 1: through some of them real quick, though, because number 10,
- 21:09Speaker 1: I don't even remember these. Oh, I do remember these,
- 21:11Speaker 1: but I never knew what they were called. This should
- 21:13Speaker 1: be number one. Number 10 on the list of the
- 21:16Speaker 1: best or top 10 boomer candies, strawberry bonbons.
- 21:20Speaker 6: Is that what they're called?
- 21:21Speaker 1: Oh, the famous grandma's strawberry candy. I love those.
- 21:25Speaker 6: Yeah, the grandma's purse candy.
- 21:27Speaker 2: Those are called bonbons? I didn't know that.
- 21:29Speaker 6: I didn't either.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I didn't know they had a name, but they're the
- 21:32Speaker 1: strawberry candy with the gooey middle. Right.
- 21:35Speaker 6: The packaging looks like a strawberry.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I apologize.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I just said the word gooey.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Oh, it doesn't bother me.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Why would I ever do that first thing on a
- 21:41Speaker 2: Tuesday morning?
- 21:41Speaker 1: It's all gooey.
- 21:42Speaker 6: Yeah, gooey doesn't bother me.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 21:44Speaker 2: You want strawberry gooey candy?
- 21:46Speaker 4: Sure, yeah. Yeah.
- 21:47Speaker 2: All right. That's great. Number 10.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Number nine on the list. Oh, what a classic. Root
- 21:52Speaker 1: beer barrels. Oh, my God. I love those. Do you
- 21:55Speaker 1: remember those?
- 21:56Speaker 6: Are those like the waxy things?
- 21:57Speaker 1: No. No. No, it's just the barrels. They look like barrels.
- 21:59Speaker 2: It's just candy, hard candy.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:01Speaker 6: Oh, I don't remember those.
- 22:02Speaker 2: No, you're talking.
- 22:03Speaker 1: About the soda bottle. Yes. Wax with the soda, whatever
- 22:07Speaker 1: it was in the middle.
- 22:07Speaker 4: Weird. Weird.
- 22:08Speaker 2: No, root beer barrel candies. They were just hard candy,
- 22:10Speaker 2: but they were big.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Yeah. And they taste like root beer, and they were awesome.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Number eight, Smarties.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 22:17Speaker 6: Yeah, let's be done with those.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I'm over Smarties. If you're giving out Smarties, do me
- 22:21Speaker 1: a favor and do the kids of this next generation
- 22:23Speaker 1: a favor.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Turn your porch light off.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Oh. Just cut up some chalk. Yeah.
- 22:27Speaker 2: And just go to bed.
- 22:29Speaker 6: They're pointless.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Number seven, Cinnamon Disc.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Cinnamon Disc.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I don't remember Cinnamon Disc.
- 22:34Speaker 6: No.
- 22:35Speaker 4: No.
- 22:35Speaker 2: I'm probably just calling them something else.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Right.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Number six, Candace is right, was Starburst.
- 22:40Speaker 6: I can't believe that.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Wow.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Are they that uncool and old school?
- 22:45Speaker 1: I mean, are kids buying Starburst? Like, do you see
- 22:48Speaker 1: your kid? Like, Enzo, you don't allow him to have candy.
- 22:51Speaker 4: No, I do.
- 22:51Speaker 6: We have a lot of candy in the house right now.
- 22:53Speaker 6: I just prefer the chocolate candies, not fruity stuff.
- 22:56Speaker 1: See, I like fruity over chocolatey. But Starburst... That's weird.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Because kids are getting like, nowadays they get, you know,
- 23:04Speaker 1: Sour Patch Kids, maybe, or Trollies. What are those things called? Trollies? Trollies? Oh, yeah, Trollies.
- 23:08Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, little gummy, like sour worms and stuff.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I can't believe it was on the list. Number five, Butterscotch,
- 23:14Speaker 2: for sure.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Butterscotch. You don't like Butterscotch?
- 23:18Speaker 6: Are those even for sale anymore?
- 23:20Speaker 4: I mean.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yes, they're for sale.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Why? Are they even for... Why?
- 23:24Speaker 6: Do you like Butterscotch?
- 23:25Speaker 4: Yes. Really? No.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Yes, I do. Number four, I used to love these
- 23:31Speaker 1: cinnamon jawbreakers.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 23:33Speaker 6: Yeah, what were they called, though?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Hot.
- 23:36Speaker 6: Yeah, hot something.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Hot balls? No. Okay.
- 23:40Speaker 6: What were they?
- 23:41Speaker 1: Fireballs.
- 23:41Speaker 6: Atomic fireballs.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Fireballs.
- 23:43Speaker 6: Yes, hot balls. Same thing.
- 23:46Speaker 1: DJ Hot Balls.
- 23:47Speaker 6: Atomic hot balls.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Okay, yeah. Don't save that. No. Number three on the list,
- 23:54Speaker 1: Boomer Candy Milk Duds.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 6: Oh, Milk Duds.
- 23:58Speaker 1: Those are so bad. Yeah. I mean, somebody said one
- 24:00Speaker 1: time to me, they were like, well, Milk Duds are
- 24:02Speaker 1: good if you get them fresh. What? I'm like, well.
- 24:04Speaker 1: When do you get them fresh? When do you get
- 24:05Speaker 1: them fresh?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Whenever you ever said, wow, these are some fresh Milk Duds.
- 24:09Speaker 4: What? No.
- 24:10Speaker 6: They're disgusting. I hate those.
- 24:12Speaker 2: Oh, I don't hate them.
- 24:13Speaker 6: Oh, I do. I'd rather step on them and just
- 24:17Speaker 6: smash them in the street. You know, when you're a
- 24:18Speaker 6: kid and you're trick-or-treating, yeah, they fall out of my bag.
- 24:21Speaker 6: I'd just rather smash them.
- 24:23Speaker 1: You're rude.
- 24:23Speaker 6: Yeah, well.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Number two on the list, Laffy Taffy.
- 24:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Okay. Yeah. And then number one, the all-time boomer candy
- 24:32Speaker 1: of all time.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Werther's Originals.
- 24:35Speaker 6: Oh, of course.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 24:36Speaker 6: That's not like a Halloween candy. Like, you can't give
- 24:40Speaker 6: that out at Halloween, can you?
- 24:41Speaker 1: You're not supposed to.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Go in Grandma's purse and grab you a Werther's.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Okay, Granny. And mine would always taste like perfume and cigarettes.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Like White Diamonds, Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds. Never did you
- 24:54Speaker 1: taste Werther's. You would taste something else, but you were
- 24:57Speaker 1: a kid, so you'd be like, well, I don't care. Yeah.
- 25:00Speaker 1: What did they miss on the list? Because I got one.
- 25:02Speaker 1: What did they miss on this list of Boomer Candy?
- 25:04Speaker 1: You can't think of anything they missed, Candace?
- 25:05Speaker 6: Those little soda things. I don't even know what they
- 25:08Speaker 6: were called.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't either.
- 25:09Speaker 6: We know the Circus Peanuts belong on there.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah, but no, they're missing something else. I can't believe
- 25:13Speaker 2: you're missing it.
- 25:14Speaker 1: What?
- 25:15Speaker 2: You don't have anything to add to this list?
- 25:17Speaker 1: No. Those are good.
- 25:19Speaker 6: Pop Rocks?
- 25:20Speaker 1: Almond Joy?
- 25:21Speaker 4: No.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good one, though. Whoppers. Oh, Whoppers.
- 25:26Speaker 6: That's what it is.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Whoppers.
- 25:28Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't like Whoppers either.
- 25:30Speaker 4: What?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Yeah. What about the little bit of honey? Remember that?
- 25:34Speaker 6: Those taste good, but why?
- 25:36Speaker 2: Well, they taste good, but I also enjoy my teeth.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Right. So if you can actually chew one, it doesn't
- 25:41Speaker 1: taste like actually you're chewing.
- 25:42Speaker 4: On a rock.
- 25:42Speaker 1: My granddad used to love a bit of honey. Bit
- 25:44Speaker 1: of honey.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Now, I'm going to give you one. Do you remember these?
- 25:46Speaker 4: What?
- 25:47Speaker 1: Remember Chico sticks? Yeah. Oh, yeah. You remember those? Yeah.
- 25:51Speaker 6: They weren't bad.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Yeah, Chico sticks were good. No, they weren't.
- 25:54Speaker 6: Yeah, like little lollipops?
- 25:56Speaker 1: No, they weren't. Candace, do you even have a childhood?
- 25:59Speaker 1: What candy?
- 26:00Speaker 2: Every time we talk about a candy.
- 26:01Speaker 1: You don't remember Chico Sticks? Every time we talk about
- 26:03Speaker 1: a candy, she's like, oh, like the gummy bears? No,
- 26:05Speaker 1: not at all. Oh, root beer barrels like the soda pops? No.
- 26:13Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, the Chico's.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Oh, get out of here.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Too late now. The new Mix 102.9.
- 26:19Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 26:22Speaker 5: Kid in the Morning.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 26:26Speaker 1: We were just talking about Boomer Candy. Kayla sent me
- 26:29Speaker 1: one I forgot about.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Shout out to Kayla. She said, what about Sugar Babies?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Oh, sugar babies.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 26:34Speaker 6: Yeah, the packaging was bad, too.
- 26:36Speaker 1: And shout out to Derek. He said, how dare y'all
- 26:38Speaker 1: slander Smarties? Ha ha ha. Sorry, Derek.
- 26:41Speaker 6: You can have them all.
- 26:42Speaker 1: He likes them.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Derek, I will save you all the Smarties.
- 26:45Speaker 7: Yeah, for real.
- 26:46Speaker 2: All my Smarties.
- 26:47Speaker 1: All right, Candace Lopez, what is going on?
- 26:48Speaker 6: Well, DFW International Airport has been ranked the most stressful
- 26:52Speaker 6: airport in the country. High rates of flight delays and cancellations,
- 26:56Speaker 6: as well as significant travel distances, are the reasons why. So,
- 27:00Speaker 6: flight data shows DFW had nearly 28% of all flights
- 27:04Speaker 6: last year delayed. So, congratulations, guys.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Geez.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Yeah, congrats.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Well, it's... It's a big airport. It's one of the biggest.
- 27:11Speaker 1: So when I feel like it's the biggest and it's
- 27:13Speaker 1: the busiest, we're naturally going to be also the most stressed.
- 27:16Speaker 6: For sure. Yeah, it's stressful flying and traveling no matter what.
- 27:19Speaker 1: But, yeah, that airport.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Plus, with all the construction right now, I mean, I
- 27:22Speaker 6: was the most stressed out the last time I was
- 27:24Speaker 6: there ever before because our whole gate was closed. You
- 27:27Speaker 6: had to, like, go around. It was completely shut off.
- 27:29Speaker 1: And people don't know when you switch gates at DFW,
- 27:33Speaker 1: you usually have to get on a shuttle train or,
- 27:35Speaker 1: you know, some kind of bus or something to go
- 27:37Speaker 1: to another hole, another terminal.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 27:38Speaker 2: And that's what happened to me. That's why I'm going
- 27:41Speaker 2: to fly out of McKinney.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:43Speaker 6: Okay, good.
- 27:43Speaker 1: The McKinney Airport.
- 27:45Speaker 2: Is it open yet?
- 27:45Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 27:46Speaker 6: Is it? I think flights start soon. Maybe next month.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Well, I think this month.
- 27:50Speaker 6: Oh, okay.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Either way, catch me flying out of McKinney.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Isn't that weird to say?
- 27:55Speaker 6: It is weird.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:57Speaker 6: Guys, there's a new scam that you should know about.
- 27:59Speaker 6: It might be showing up on your calendar. So it's
- 28:02Speaker 6: called ICS Phishing because I guess calendar files are... are.
- 28:06Speaker 6: ics files. Have you seen this? So if you have
- 28:09Speaker 6: a meeting on your calendar that you don't recognize, it
- 28:11Speaker 6: might be because of this. These calendar invites can sneak
- 28:14Speaker 6: malicious links past your spam filter and they don't even
- 28:18Speaker 6: make you open an attachment. Yeah, I know. It's weird.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Prime targets, they say, are people who often meet with strangers.
- 28:25Speaker 6: So like salespeople and recruiters. But this usually happens if
- 28:29Speaker 6: you have one of those AI programs that accepts invitations
- 28:32Speaker 6: for you, which a lot of people are using right
- 28:34Speaker 6: now just to make their workdays a little more streamlined.
- 28:38Speaker 6: But you do have to check your settings and make
- 28:39Speaker 6: sure you're not automatically adding every invite to your calendar.
- 28:42Speaker 1: That's something else we got to worry about.
- 28:44Speaker 4: I know.
- 28:45Speaker 6: It's so weird.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Another scam.
- 28:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I have seen things on my calendar before and
- 28:49Speaker 6: I didn't know what they were. And one of them
- 28:51Speaker 6: I couldn't even delete. So I just had to wait
- 28:53Speaker 6: until the date. Pass.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I see a bunch of stuff on my calendar all
- 28:56Speaker 2: the time.
- 28:57Speaker 1: You do?
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, deny, because I don't trust it. I think it's
- 28:59Speaker 2: actual work stuff.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Uh-oh.
- 29:02Speaker 6: Unavailable.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Unavailable. Yeah, 10 a.m. meeting. Ew. I'm getting scammed.
- 29:06Speaker 7: Yeah, exactly.
- 29:08Speaker 6: Guys, there's a new Britney Spears song that was released
- 29:11Speaker 6: from the vaults. It's co-written by Justin Timberlake. So I
- 29:15Speaker 6: guess this is one of the five songs that's going
- 29:18Speaker 6: to be on the Britney 25th anniversary deluxe edition album
- 29:21Speaker 6: that comes out next month.
- 29:22Speaker 1: Really? So she did it with Justin and they were together.
- 29:26Speaker 6: Yeah, he's listed as one of the co-writers. The song
- 29:28Speaker 6: is called She'll Never Be Me. Okay, let me hear it.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Listen to this.
- 29:41Speaker 1: She didn't even bother to change one ounce of production
- 29:44Speaker 1: to make it sound like it was made this century.
- 29:47Speaker 6: Yeah, this was recorded 25 years ago. Yeah, while she
- 29:50Speaker 6: and Justin were dating, her official Facebook page says more
- 29:53Speaker 6: surprises are coming every week until the release.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Wow.
- 29:58Speaker 6: Sounds so familiar.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Okay.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Good. I mean, it's like every other song.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:19Speaker 1: From that era that she did, it sounds the exact same.
- 30:23Speaker 6: Yeah, having not listened to that type of music in
- 30:25Speaker 6: so long, it sounds so dated.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Yes, it does.
- 30:29Speaker 2: I know, but it's so nostalgic.
- 30:31Speaker 6: I know. I'm here for it, though.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And her nose seems closed. She's so nasally.
- 30:36Speaker 6: Yeah, she always was.
- 30:38Speaker 1: I know, but I just.
- 30:39Speaker 6: That was like her signature. Oh, baby, baby.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Oh, baby, baby. God, I love her, though.
- 30:45Speaker 6: I know, same. All right, I'm Candace Lopez. Those are
- 30:47Speaker 6: your Texas Top Stories.
- 30:49Speaker 1: About to do the banger. We got Dirty Little Secret
- 30:51Speaker 1: coming up next. Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candice Lopez, Producer Poon.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Don't forget, we start giving away money, too.
- 30:57Speaker 1: We got cash. Cash Cow.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Our Cash Cow's name is Mudana.
- 31:02Speaker 1: You get it? That's cute. Yeah, of course.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Be giving away.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Oh, there she is. Giving away some cash. We'll do
- 31:06Speaker 1: that at 840. First chance to win. And then on
- 31:08Speaker 1: the 40s all day. So make sure you win some
- 31:11Speaker 1: of that cash. Candice Lopez, this might be the last
- 31:14Speaker 1: day I see you at work.
- 31:15Speaker 4: What? What?
- 31:16Speaker 1: Just letting you know, because today's a big day. Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 1: Pooh and I, we're going to the Tarrant County Sheriff's
- 31:22Speaker 1: Office job fair today, and I have a feeling they're
- 31:24Speaker 1: going to try to recruit me again.
- 31:26Speaker 6: And not Pooh?
- 31:28Speaker 4: No.
- 31:28Speaker 2: No, they don't want Pooh.
- 31:30Speaker 6: You mentioned this to me earlier, saying that they were
- 31:31Speaker 6: going to recruit you, but I'm just curious why just
- 31:33Speaker 6: you and not Pooh?
- 31:34Speaker 2: Well, I think there's some... Issues with his record.
- 31:38Speaker 1: History. History there.
- 31:41Speaker 6: Disqualifying history.
- 31:43Speaker 1: But I'm just letting you know that we're going to
- 31:44Speaker 1: be out there. I'm going to be out there from
- 31:45Speaker 1: 1 to 3 today in Fort Worth. 1500 Circle Drive
- 31:48Speaker 1: in Fort Worth. But, I mean, it's cool, though, that
- 31:49Speaker 1: they're doing a job fair.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Why not?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Get you a good job.
- 31:52Speaker 1: They do on-site testing, so you can do it right there.
- 31:57Speaker 2: You can be a detention officer.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Nice.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Sheriff Abdallah, he's been trying to recruit me for a while.
- 32:02Speaker 1: He has. He's like, bring Billy out here. I need
- 32:04Speaker 1: to get him on the squad.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I mean, I've been undercover for years.
- 32:07Speaker 6: You have?
- 32:08Speaker 1: Have you? And you didn't even tell us?
- 32:09Speaker 2: Well, that's what, you know, no, in all seriousness, yeah,
- 32:12Speaker 2: I can't tell you if it's undercover.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that's right. But you can at least tell us.
- 32:15Speaker 6: Neighborhood watch or what?
- 32:17Speaker 1: Whoa. Whoa, Candace. Candace, you got two neighborhood apps downloaded.
- 32:23Speaker 6: Oh, the next door app?
- 32:24Speaker 1: First of all, put.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Some respect on my name.
- 32:28Speaker 6: Two next doors.
- 32:32Speaker 1: No, okay.
- 32:33Speaker 2: You guys are going to be laughing, but I'll tell
- 32:34Speaker 2: you what.
- 32:36Speaker 1: When I'm working for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.
- 32:38Speaker 6: Yeah, we're going to be sorry.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I'm a special op.
- 32:41Speaker 6: You're right.
- 32:41Speaker 2: An extra special operative. Thanks to Sheriff Opdahl.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Guess what?
- 32:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 2: You're going to be like, man, Billy, please don't give
- 32:49Speaker 2: me a ticket.
- 32:50Speaker 4: Don't arrest me.
- 32:50Speaker 6: Yeah, we'll miss you for sure.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, we will. All right. We'll be out there
- 32:54Speaker 1: either way. But no, in all seriousness, that's what I
- 32:56Speaker 1: was going to do. When I was a kid, my
- 32:58Speaker 1: dream was to be a cop.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Nice.
- 33:00Speaker 1: That's all I cared about. I mean, that's all I
- 33:03Speaker 1: thought about. I watched cops 24 hours a day. I
- 33:05Speaker 1: wanted to be a federal agent. I wanted to, you know,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I was going to start at a local level.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 2: And then work my way up to run the FBI.
- 33:12Speaker 6: Okay. I can see that for you.
- 33:14Speaker 1: But here I am. I don't know what went wrong. Instead,
- 33:21Speaker 1: I got bangers. I'm playing bangers.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Candice, what were you going to be?
- 33:25Speaker 6: Probably a sports reporter or a meteorologist.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I could see that. I could see Candice.
- 33:29Speaker 2: I could see you being a meteorologist.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Maybe both.
- 33:31Speaker 6: Yeah, I always wanted to do the weather on TV.
- 33:33Speaker 2: I was going to say, you're still kind of obsessed
- 33:34Speaker 2: with the weather anyway.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 33:35Speaker 6: I love weather.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:37Speaker 4: So nerdy.
- 33:38Speaker 2: You are so nerdy.
- 33:39Speaker 1: What is the.
- 33:39Speaker 6: Recruiting day for that?
- 33:40Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know if there is one.
- 33:43Speaker 6: Let me know.
- 33:44Speaker 2: No one's like, God, we need some more meteorologists.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 2: What are we going to do?
- 33:49Speaker 1: Oh, my God. Candace, what do these clouds look like?
- 33:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:52Speaker 1: What do them clouds do? Okay.
- 33:54Speaker 6: Messed up.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I'm curious, though. I don't know if I ever knew
- 33:57Speaker 1: Pooh when you were a kid. You were like, oh,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I'm going to dress. I'm going to grow up to
- 34:00Speaker 1: be this.
- 34:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, because things just happened to me. You know,
- 34:03Speaker 7: I didn't set out to be in the military. What
- 34:05Speaker 7: do you mean, things just happened to me? Because I
- 34:07Speaker 7: didn't set out to be in the military. I got
- 34:09Speaker 7: in trouble, and my lawyer said, hey, he just... Signed
- 34:11Speaker 7: up for the Army.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Oh, he signed you up? Oh, she did, yes. Oh,
- 34:14Speaker 1: she did? Yeah, she told the judge.
- 34:16Speaker 6: Yeah, you were kind of forced to.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I was voluntold. Okay, well, still we appreciate
- 34:20Speaker 1: your services. Yeah, for sure.
- 34:22Speaker 2: In the Army, but you didn't grow up going, I
- 34:23Speaker 2: want to be in the Army?
- 34:24Speaker 1: No, uh-uh, not at all. What did you want to be?
- 34:27Speaker 1: You know what? I kind of wanted to be a
- 34:29Speaker 1: truck driver.
- 34:29Speaker 6: Oh.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Well, it's not too late.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Yeah, my Uncle Johnny was a truck driver, you know?
- 34:35Speaker 6: Really?
- 34:35Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, I always had like 10 or 15
- 34:38Speaker 7: jobs back in the day, so.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Truck driver.
- 34:40Speaker 2: But you never were a truck driver.
- 34:42Speaker 1: No. Uh-uh.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Thank God, actually, because the way you drive.
- 34:45Speaker 1: No. The way this dude drives, we don't need him
- 34:49Speaker 1: behind an 18-wheeler. I mean, I can drive one.
- 34:52Speaker 6: I can drive one. I'm sure you could.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Says who? Says me. I did it before. What do
- 34:57Speaker 1: you mean you did it before? I would move trailers
- 35:00Speaker 1: at some of the warehouses I would work at. Nice.
- 35:02Speaker 2: No, you would move some of your ex-girlfriends from trailer
- 35:04Speaker 2: to trailer.
- 35:06Speaker 1: No. They weren't that big.
- 35:08Speaker 4: No.
- 35:10Speaker 2: That's what you would do. Do you have your, what
- 35:12Speaker 2: you call it?
- 35:12Speaker 1: A CDL?
- 35:12Speaker 4: No.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Well, then how are you driving trucks?
- 35:15Speaker 6: He means he physically could drive it.
- 35:17Speaker 4: Legally, no.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Yeah, legally I can't. I don't have a CDL. And
- 35:20Speaker 1: you have to renew it every year. Hey, do you
- 35:21Speaker 1: hear this, Sheriff Opdahl?
- 35:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Wow, already snitching. You ain't even on the force. That's
- 35:27Speaker 1: why we bring him to the job fair, so you
- 35:28Speaker 1: can see.
- 35:29Speaker 6: Here's an example of what not to do.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Here's an example.
- 35:33Speaker 1: And here's how you can arrest someone, and we use
- 35:35Speaker 1: him as an example with his criminal record.
- 35:37Speaker 6: Okay.
- 35:38Speaker 2: What are you doing? You can't drive a truck if
- 35:40Speaker 2: you don't have the qualifications.
- 35:41Speaker 7: Back then, back in the day when I worked at warehouses,
- 35:44Speaker 7: I was allowed to move just back the trailers into
- 35:47Speaker 7: their port or whatever.
- 35:48Speaker 1: The 1920s were different. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:54Speaker 7: Get it off your chest.
- 35:55Speaker 1: It's Dirty Little.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Secret with Billy the Kid in the Morning on Mix 102.9.
- 35:59Speaker 5: Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 36:01Speaker 1: All right, it's time to confess. By the way, got
- 36:04Speaker 1: Weezer tickets coming up next, too.
- 36:06Speaker 6: Cool.
- 36:07Speaker 1: All this week, right around 7.30, Weezer tickets up for grabs.
- 36:10Speaker 1: They put on such an incredible show, so we'll hook
- 36:12Speaker 1: you up with that. All right, Dirty Little Secret. It's
- 36:14Speaker 1: Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez, Producer Poo. And if you
- 36:17Speaker 1: got one, you just call us anytime you want.
- 36:18Speaker 4: 833-787-1029.
- 36:21Speaker 2: And confess, and you got something. What's going on?
- 36:24Speaker 3: Okay. I have a secret that I've literally never told anyone,
- 36:28Speaker 3: but I already know that you're going to think I'm
- 36:30Speaker 3: completely insane once you hear about it.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I don't think so, but go ahead.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 36:35Speaker 3: I've always been pretty, like, OCD. My friends and family
- 36:38Speaker 3: know that I'm just, like, ridiculously organized. My closet is
- 36:42Speaker 3: organized by color, season, and sometimes, hey, even alphabetically by
- 36:47Speaker 3: brand within, like, the colors and seasons.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Really? So your closet is organized alphabetically by brand and
- 36:56Speaker 1: color and everything.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I'm jealous.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Hey, I'm taking commissions. I'll come do your closet.
- 37:03Speaker 2: His closet is nothing but black t-shirts.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Mine's a mess. So anyway, go ahead.
- 37:07Speaker 3: The thing is, I'm really organized, but I think that
- 37:11Speaker 3: nobody really understands how far my obsession with being organized goes.
- 37:15Speaker 3: For the past 15 years, I've kept like This detailed
- 37:19Speaker 3: spreadsheet of every single person in my life.
- 37:23Speaker 4: What?
- 37:23Speaker 3: Like family, friends, coworkers, ex-boyfriends, even my current boyfriend has
- 37:28Speaker 3: a section in it. And so I call it a system.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 37:32Speaker 1: What?
- 37:33Speaker 2: You have a name for it. So wait.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 37:36Speaker 6: What's the system for?
- 37:37Speaker 1: You keep a spreadsheet on your friends, family, everybody around you. Yeah.
- 37:42Speaker 1: What does it do? Like, wow.
- 37:43Speaker 4: Wow.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's not just the basics like birthdays
- 37:47Speaker 3: and favorite colors. It's like I have a file on
- 37:50Speaker 3: each person and I have notes about like everything. Wow.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Who does?
- 37:55Speaker 6: You're like recording your life.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Yeah, notes on what though?
- 37:58Speaker 3: Well, like I put like the last time we talked,
- 38:00Speaker 3: what we chatted about, and when we last hung out
- 38:04Speaker 3: and what we did. And sometimes I even rate our
- 38:07Speaker 3: interactions on a scale of one to ten based on
- 38:11Speaker 3: how much I enjoyed my time.
- 38:13Speaker 1: So you'll rank people, rate them, say, I'm going to
- 38:17Speaker 1: note what we did, how much I liked it, what
- 38:20Speaker 1: we talked about this person's, the notes and history on them.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:23Speaker 6: Like a doctor would do after your appointment. Cause I
- 38:26Speaker 6: feel like they, how did you remember that I was
- 38:27Speaker 6: about to do that last year?
- 38:29Speaker 1: Right. Okay.
- 38:31Speaker 3: So I remember some things, but also just writing them
- 38:34Speaker 3: down helps anyway.
- 38:35Speaker 1: So you do this because it, and what do you
- 38:37Speaker 1: do with it?
- 38:38Speaker 3: Well, I can, based, so, like, the way I have
- 38:41Speaker 3: the system, I can just type someone's name into the system,
- 38:43Speaker 3: and it'll pull up, like, a complete history of us.
- 38:46Speaker 3: And so, like, I can pull up somebody I've been
- 38:49Speaker 3: on a date with, and, like, I can look at, like,
- 38:52Speaker 3: somebody I've been with before, and, like, every argument we had, and, like,
- 38:55Speaker 3: can look at patterns, and every gift someone has ever
- 38:58Speaker 3: given me. Like, I could look up what Aunt Susie
- 39:01Speaker 3: got me for Christmas from, like, eight years ago.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Wow.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Wow that is kind of fascinating.
- 39:06Speaker 6: It's very fascinating how long have you been doing.
- 39:09Speaker 3: This i mean since i was a teenager but back
- 39:12Speaker 3: then i carried around a notebook and i would write
- 39:14Speaker 3: things down throughout the day but now i like make
- 39:16Speaker 3: notes on my phone and then sometimes i'm like i'm
- 39:19Speaker 3: excited to get home and put everything in the system so.
- 39:22Speaker 1: It's called a system that's another thing i can't get
- 39:24Speaker 1: over So you've done this since a teenager and you
- 39:28Speaker 1: just keep doing it.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Is it getting better? Is it getting worse? I mean,
- 39:30Speaker 2: when I say better or worse, are you doing it more?
- 39:32Speaker 3: Often i mean the older i get the more detailed
- 39:35Speaker 3: it becomes because i mean it's i think some people
- 39:38Speaker 3: could say it's like a diary except like yeah instead
- 39:41Speaker 3: of writing just about my day i'm documenting like everyone
- 39:44Speaker 3: else yeah i.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Don't know if it's like a diary it's more like
- 39:47Speaker 1: it's not a job but does your current boyfriend.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Know that our interactions yeah.
- 39:52Speaker 1: That's true that does your current boyfriend i think you
- 39:54Speaker 1: said you had one does he know you do.
- 39:55Speaker 3: This Uh, no, I think you'd think I'm a psychopath,
- 40:00Speaker 3: but like no one, no one knows about this. Not
- 40:02Speaker 3: even like my best friends.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Huh.
- 40:06Speaker 1: But why do you do it? Did you have a
- 40:09Speaker 1: bad memory?
- 40:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:09Speaker 6: Because I do, and I write stuff down to try
- 40:12Speaker 6: to remember. You do?
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know necessarily why I started doing it, but, like,
- 40:17Speaker 3: it's nice to have, and there's just something super satisfying
- 40:21Speaker 3: about having everything documented and organized. Like, my brain doesn't
- 40:26Speaker 3: get much, but, like, if I do, it's there.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Wow. So it's satisfying to you. It makes you feel good.
- 40:31Speaker 3: Yeah. I swear I'm a normal person otherwise. I just
- 40:35Speaker 3: happen to have, like, a searchable database of basically every
- 40:40Speaker 3: human being I've ever come in contact with.
- 40:43Speaker 6: I love this.
- 40:43Speaker 1: So if you go to lunch with one of your
- 40:45Speaker 1: friends and lunch was so-so. Yeah, I get that. So, like,
- 40:49Speaker 1: I went to lunch with Pooh yesterday. I'm going to
- 40:51Speaker 1: rank it a four.
- 40:51Speaker 6: Why?
- 40:52Speaker 1: Why was it a four? Out of ten.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I paid for the bill.
- 40:55Speaker 1: He didn't talk. He was on his phone the whole time.
- 40:58Speaker 2: I'll put that note. Matter of fact, I might start
- 41:00Speaker 2: doing this.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Oh.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Well, everybody was calling me. But your friends don't know
- 41:05Speaker 1: that you do this, though. They don't even know.
- 41:06Speaker 3: No one knows.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I think it's kind of interesting.
- 41:09Speaker 6: It feels like you have your life together. Like, people
- 41:12Speaker 6: will tell me from years ago, oh, I remember when
- 41:14Speaker 6: you gave me that thing or whatever. And I'll be like,
- 41:16Speaker 6: don't remember that. And they'll be like, wow, I was
- 41:18Speaker 6: really thoughtful. And I just do things in my heart
- 41:20Speaker 6: in the moment and forget.
- 41:21Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 41:22Speaker 3: Right.
- 41:22Speaker 1: And I think that's pretty normal. But you could go
- 41:25Speaker 1: back and be like, I remember that.
- 41:26Speaker 2: It was August 8th. We had Chipotle.
- 41:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:31Speaker 1: You had the burrito.
- 41:32Speaker 6: We talked about the drama with your sister and all
- 41:35Speaker 6: of the things with whatever.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Hey, whatever makes you happy.
- 41:37Speaker 1: If that makes you happy and it brings you a
- 41:40Speaker 1: satisfying feeling, do it.
- 41:41Speaker 2: It's not hurting anybody.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Right.
- 41:43Speaker 2: I wish I was that organized.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Yeah. I really do. I'm not. Well, thank you for
- 41:48Speaker 1: your secret. Wait, are we in the spreadsheet? Will we
- 41:52Speaker 1: be in the spreadsheet after this? Yeah, what are you
- 41:55Speaker 1: ranking us?
- 41:57Speaker 3: I don't want to know. I guess we'll have to
- 41:58Speaker 3: chat another time for you to find out.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Okay, good.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Well, stay right there.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Hold on. That's so fascinating. Yeah, it is.
- 42:05Speaker 2: What's the most OCD thing you do?
- 42:07Speaker 4: Right.
- 42:08Speaker 1: You might have to let me know in my DMs
- 42:09Speaker 1: or call me. Either way.
- 42:10Speaker 4: The new Mix 102.9. All right. It's time for Candace Court.
- 42:17Speaker 5: It gets settled here with Billy the Kid.
- 42:19Speaker 1: In the morning. All rise for the Honorable Judge Candace
- 42:23Speaker 1: Lopez as she approaches the bench.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Good morning, Your Honor.
- 42:26Speaker 6: Good morning.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Are you ready for today's case?
- 42:28Speaker 6: I'm ready.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Okay, you got so serious for a minute.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Really thought you were a full-blown judge.
- 42:32Speaker 4: I know.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Almost threw poo in jail just from looking at you.
- 42:36Speaker 1: I know, right? All right, it's Mix 102.9. If you've
- 42:39Speaker 1: got an issue for Candace Court, just hit her up
- 42:41Speaker 1: at CandaceOnAir.com. Hey there, I need Candace's help to help
- 42:44Speaker 1: settle something because my son is furious with me right now.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I have a 25-year-old son who's been dating his girlfriend
- 42:50Speaker 1: for almost a year now. Thanksgiving is obviously coming up,
- 42:53Speaker 1: and I told him she is not invited to our
- 42:57Speaker 1: house this year.
- 42:59Speaker 2: And before you judge me, hear me out.
- 43:01Speaker 1: His girlfriend was married before, and the reason her marriage
- 43:04Speaker 1: ended is because she cheated on her husband. And from
- 43:08Speaker 1: what I understand, it wasn't just a one-time mistake. She
- 43:11Speaker 1: had an actual affair. I'm sorry, but I have a real,
- 43:15Speaker 1: real big problem with that. I raised my kids to
- 43:18Speaker 1: believe marriage means something. And I don't think someone who
- 43:21Speaker 1: knowingly destroyed a marriage is a person I want sitting
- 43:24Speaker 1: around my Thanksgiving table. My son says I'm being judgy
- 43:29Speaker 1: and that people change. And I have the right to hold,
- 43:32Speaker 1: I have no right to hold her past against her.
- 43:34Speaker 1: He even threatened not to come to Thanksgiving if she
- 43:36Speaker 1: wasn't welcomed. I told him, you're a grown man and
- 43:39Speaker 1: you can date whoever you want, but that doesn't mean
- 43:41Speaker 1: I have to welcome that person into my home. Now
- 43:45Speaker 1: he's accusing me of choosing my morals over my own son.
- 43:48Speaker 1: But isn't that what being a parent is all about sometimes?
- 43:51Speaker 1: Standing by what you believe is right, even when your
- 43:54Speaker 1: kids don't like it. So, Candace, am I really wrong
- 43:59Speaker 1: for refusing to invite her or does my son need
- 44:02Speaker 1: to respect that it's my house, my decision, my rules?
- 44:07Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, he can respect that. But, you know, if
- 44:11Speaker 6: he's not holding it against her, why are you holding
- 44:13Speaker 6: it against her? You know, he's the one dating her. Like,
- 44:16Speaker 6: you can have these thoughts inside your head. You can
- 44:18Speaker 6: tell your son to have his guard up because of
- 44:20Speaker 6: her past. which is a parental thing to do, I think,
- 44:24Speaker 6: but you can't act like she doesn't exist and she's
- 44:25Speaker 6: just going to go away.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but I think, you know what? I think
- 44:29Speaker 2: you can wait a little longer.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Wait a little longer for what?
- 44:31Speaker 1: For what?
- 44:32Speaker 2: They haven't been dating for a year. I'm like, you know.
- 44:34Speaker 1: I don't think anybody should come to family get-togethers unless
- 44:37Speaker 1: you've been together for at least two years. Oh, come on.
- 44:41Speaker 6: He's serious about her. If they've been dating just under
- 44:44Speaker 6: a year and he wants to bring her.
- 44:46Speaker 2: He's not serious.
- 44:46Speaker 7: And the only reason mom knew any of those things
- 44:49Speaker 7: is because son probably confided in her and told her.
- 44:52Speaker 6: Right, he trusted her.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Yeah, so like if I trust you.
- 44:55Speaker 6: That's not stupid.
- 44:56Speaker 7: If I trust you, mom, to tell you, hey, here's
- 44:58Speaker 7: a little history about my girl. I love her, though,
- 45:01Speaker 7: or I'm going to love her. Like, she should accept her.
- 45:04Speaker 6: But is she crappy to your son, or was she
- 45:06Speaker 6: crappy to her ex?
- 45:07Speaker 2: Well, obviously crappy to her ex.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Right.
- 45:10Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Well, you don't think that's going to happen again?
- 45:12Speaker 6: Well, if it does, then she'll see her way out
- 45:15Speaker 6: eventually anyways, you know? You're going to push your son away, though.
- 45:18Speaker 6: He's already thinking about not coming at all. Do you
- 45:20Speaker 6: want to risk not seeing him?
- 45:21Speaker 1: And he's going to be back next Thanksgiving when this
- 45:23Speaker 1: girl cheats on him. Yeah.
- 45:25Speaker 4: I mean.
- 45:25Speaker 6: Well, that's fine.
- 45:26Speaker 1: No, it's not fine. Try to stop it from happening,
- 45:28Speaker 1: because I kind of get where mom's coming from. I
- 45:31Speaker 1: get that, but... You really want to get involved with
- 45:32Speaker 1: this girl who just had an affair on her husband?
- 45:36Speaker 2: If it was my son, I'm like, Ryder, you really
- 45:38Speaker 2: want to do this, bro?
- 45:39Speaker 6: I mean, did they not tell us that he's the
- 45:41Speaker 6: one she had the affair with?
- 45:43Speaker 1: Are we missing something?
- 45:45Speaker 2: It wasn't him.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:46Speaker 5: Okay.
- 45:46Speaker 1: I don't think it was... That'd be different. That'd be
- 45:48Speaker 1: even worse. That'd be hella messy.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Because then your son is sketch.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Right.
- 45:52Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
- 45:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:53Speaker 6: He can respect your decision, though, and just not come.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Yeah, well, yeah, but why does it have to be
- 45:58Speaker 1: this Thanksgiving?
- 45:58Speaker 2: Y'all just met.
- 45:59Speaker 6: I mean, they've been dating almost a year, right?
- 46:02Speaker 2: Almost a year, not a year.
- 46:03Speaker 1: No holidays, no other strangers at our holidays. No. I
- 46:09Speaker 1: just think that, why not? I can't have my rules.
- 46:13Speaker 6: You can have your rules. That's what you want to do, Mom,
- 46:16Speaker 6: have your rules.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Someone tell my son, you've got to be dating a
- 46:19Speaker 1: girl for at least a year and a half.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Two years.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Before she comes to your house.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Before she comes to Thanksgiving. No, I didn't say to
- 46:26Speaker 2: my house.
- 46:27Speaker 1: I mean, for Thanksgiving. Celebrating holidays together.
- 46:30Speaker 7: Yeah, that's a big commitment.
- 46:32Speaker 6: It's just Thanksgiving.
- 46:33Speaker 1: That's my point. Realize that. Maybe mama just don't want
- 46:36Speaker 1: to cook. For all these extra people.
- 46:39Speaker 2: She's cooking either way.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. The whole point is. She just grouchy.
- 46:43Speaker 6: That's an interesting thought.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Why bring strangers to holidays?
- 46:46Speaker 4: I get it.
- 46:46Speaker 6: Like, you have a bad taste in your mouth because
- 46:48Speaker 6: of this girl's past. I get it. But, like, what
- 46:50Speaker 6: are you going to do? Your son picked her. They're dating.
- 46:52Speaker 6: You know, you can tell him. Have a side conversation.
- 46:55Speaker 6: Be like, hey, dude. Like, she might do this to you.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I would say, listen, if I were my son, I'd
- 47:00Speaker 1: be like, I don't love the fact that she had
- 47:01Speaker 1: an affair. We're not going to judge her forever because
- 47:04Speaker 1: I do believe people get second chances. But maybe we
- 47:07Speaker 1: just wait until next Thanksgiving and.
- 47:11Speaker 6: See if you're still into her.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Let's see, because I don't want to bring her around everybody.
- 47:15Speaker 1: And I'm going to tell you, as a 25 year
- 47:16Speaker 1: old guy, you should probably pump the brakes a little
- 47:19Speaker 1: bit and be like, you do your family thing. I'll
- 47:22Speaker 1: do my family thing this year. We'll meet later. And
- 47:25Speaker 1: then you know what?
- 47:26Speaker 2: It'll be different next year because they won't even be together.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 47:29Speaker 6: It's possible.
- 47:30Speaker 2: No, it's possible that they won't.
- 47:31Speaker 7: But if he don't invite her, that's probably going to
- 47:34Speaker 7: cause an argument in itself.
- 47:35Speaker 1: I don't think so. Why? Hey, I'm going to go
- 47:37Speaker 1: to my family. You're not married. It's not like that.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I know.
- 47:40Speaker 7: But girls like that type of stuff. They like to
- 47:43Speaker 7: be accepted.
- 47:43Speaker 1: No, they don't.
- 47:44Speaker 2: I don't want to be invited to people's houses.
- 47:45Speaker 1: If I'm dating a girl. You don't. I'm talking about females.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Girls like that. If I'm dating a girl and she's like,
- 47:50Speaker 1: I'm going to go do my thing for the holidays.
- 47:51Speaker 1: You do your thing.
- 47:52Speaker 2: I'm like, perfect.
- 47:53Speaker 4: Perfect.
- 47:53Speaker 7: See you in the spring. I would love for you
- 47:57Speaker 7: to come to my family's Thanksgiving.
- 47:59Speaker 1: What are you going to do then?
- 48:00Speaker 2: I'm going to go, no, I appreciate it, but I
- 48:01Speaker 2: got to go to my family's Thanksgiving.
- 48:03Speaker 6: And you're not invited.
- 48:05Speaker 7: No.
- 48:05Speaker 1: You're not invited. I didn't say you weren't invited. I
- 48:08Speaker 1: just said you weren't invited. You were not invited. Just
- 48:11Speaker 1: let's not talk about it. Exactly.
- 48:13Speaker 6: That's not a good way to start.
- 48:15Speaker 1: The first year and then like afterwards.
- 48:17Speaker 6: My mom has a rule. No one comes unless they've
- 48:20Speaker 6: been here.
- 48:21Speaker 4: What?
- 48:23Speaker 1: No, not my mom has the rule. I have the rule.
- 48:26Speaker 2: My mom would have.
- 48:26Speaker 1: A stranger over right now.
- 48:28Speaker 6: He doesn't have the rule, though.
- 48:29Speaker 2: No, I'd be dating a girl for a month. My
- 48:33Speaker 2: mom would be like.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I know she murdered four people, but she's so sweet.
- 48:38Speaker 1: See if she wants a sandwich. Take some of this
- 48:39Speaker 1: turkey home. You're fine.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Don't worry about my son.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Oh, Billy, people deserve second chances.
- 48:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Who cares? Oh, Mama Judy. So I'm just saying. I'm
- 48:52Speaker 1: just throwing out that rule, but it's not my court.
- 48:54Speaker 1: It's your court.
- 48:55Speaker 6: Yeah, it is my court. Unfortunately, I think you're guilty
- 48:57Speaker 6: of being an extra seat, Sally. You're going to push
- 49:01Speaker 6: him away. You're going to have two extra seats if
- 49:04Speaker 6: you're not careful. Just take it in stride. He's probably
- 49:07Speaker 6: not even going to be dating her by next Thanksgiving anyways.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Here's what's funny. Remember this date, October, what is it, 13th?
- 49:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:14Speaker 1: One day, if Enzo ever dates some girl that had
- 49:17Speaker 1: an affair on her husband.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Oh.
- 49:20Speaker 6: I'm going to invite her to my house so I
- 49:22Speaker 6: can have eyes on her, right? I'm watching you. I
- 49:25Speaker 6: get it. I know what you did. I know what
- 49:26Speaker 6: you're capable of. Not to my son.
- 49:28Speaker 1: You're going to feed her the bone so she can
- 49:30Speaker 1: choke on the wishbone. That's why you want her right here.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Yeah, right?
- 49:35Speaker 2: All right, she is guilty of being a he, whatever.
- 49:37Speaker 1: Whoever's guilty.
- 49:38Speaker 6: Guilty of being an extra seed, Sally.
- 49:40Speaker 1: There you go.
- 49:43Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 49:46Speaker 5: Kid in the Morning.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Bright and early on a Tuesday morning. Candace Lopez, what.
- 49:52Speaker 2: Is going on?
- 49:52Speaker 6: Well, we're going to have above normal temperatures again today
- 49:55Speaker 6: before that cold front gets here by Friday. We'll get
- 49:57Speaker 6: up to 92, though. That's 10 to 15 degrees above normal.
- 50:01Speaker 6: It is 78 right now, though, so just a heads up.
- 50:03Speaker 6: I guess it's more humid today as well.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:06Speaker 4: So, yeah.
- 50:06Speaker 1: It looks just like muggy out and just sticky.
- 50:09Speaker 6: Yeah, that's the vibe today.
- 50:10Speaker 1: But the good news is, I was looking ahead, Saturday,
- 50:13Speaker 1: they're saying the high Saturday is going to be 67.
- 50:15Speaker 6: Perfect. Oh, I'm so ready for that.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Me too.
- 50:19Speaker 6: Yes, guys. Instagram says they would like to apologize for
- 50:22Speaker 6: a glitch in their system that keeps suggesting Creed in
- 50:25Speaker 6: Instagram stories. So I guess they are investigating this. They
- 50:30Speaker 6: said they did not make a deal with Creed to
- 50:32Speaker 6: promote the song higher, but it keeps coming up as
- 50:34Speaker 6: a suggestion in people's story. Yeah, I saw that the
- 50:38Speaker 6: other day. I think I was posting something from my
- 50:41Speaker 6: kiddos baseball game and I was like, Creed.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Well, Creed has a tendency to do that. They just
- 50:45Speaker 1: pop up when you least expect them.
- 50:46Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
- 50:47Speaker 1: I mean, let's not forget, though. Creed had the best
- 50:49Speaker 1: halftime show at the Cowboys game of all time.
- 50:51Speaker 6: Oh, my gosh.
- 50:51Speaker 1: Yeah, they did. I forgot about that. Remember when Scott
- 50:54Speaker 1: Stapp flew across?
- 50:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 50:57Speaker 2: That was at Old Texas Stadium.
- 50:58Speaker 1: He looked like Jesus.
- 50:59Speaker 6: That was a good one.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Oh, there he is. See, you never know when he's
- 51:03Speaker 1: going to come out.
- 51:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:05Speaker 1: It makes me kind of sad, though, hearing this now,
- 51:06Speaker 1: because I think about the Rangers winning the World Series.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I know.
- 51:09Speaker 6: It made me so happy. It still does. I'll forever
- 51:12Speaker 6: cherish that season.
- 51:17Speaker 1: Sing it.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Flying across the.
- 51:22Speaker 6: I guess people thought the same thing was happening recently
- 51:25Speaker 6: with Soulja Boy, but apparently Turn My Swag On was
- 51:28Speaker 6: actually popular on IG at the time. And funny enough,
- 51:31Speaker 6: that's the song I picked for my video after it
- 51:33Speaker 6: suggested Creed.
- 51:34Speaker 1: Oh, you did?
- 51:35Speaker 6: Yeah. Really weird.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Easily influenced over there.
- 51:38Speaker 6: I guess so. Soulja Boy, by the way, did tease
- 51:40Speaker 6: a potential run for president in 2028. Thank God. I know.
- 51:45Speaker 1: Because I had no clue who I was going to
- 51:46Speaker 1: vote for.
- 51:47Speaker 7: Right.
- 51:47Speaker 2: But now I'm like, well, obviously, Soulja Boy.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:50Speaker 6: He posted a picture in front of the flag with
- 51:52Speaker 6: the word Soulja Boy 2028. He says his focus is
- 51:57Speaker 6: on these four things. Economic opportunity, criminal justice reform, education
- 52:01Speaker 6: and the future of tech and A.I. He's been kind
- 52:04Speaker 6: of vocal about his concerns of like, you know, A.I.
- 52:07Speaker 6: criticizing the A.I.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Videos online.
- 52:09Speaker 6: But yeah, this is kind of a la Kanye of 2020.
- 52:11Speaker 1: I mean, if Kanye didn't win, I don't know if
- 52:13Speaker 1: Soulja Boy is going to win. No. You need to
- 52:16Speaker 1: vote for me.
- 52:16Speaker 2: I mean, that'd be better.
- 52:18Speaker 6: Than the political ads we have right now. I would
- 52:21Speaker 6: enjoy that.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Can we pause real quick?
- 52:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:23Speaker 1: What was that, Pooh? You need to vote for me.
- 52:27Speaker 6: I like it. Remember we were talking about that Halloween
- 52:34Speaker 6: house in Oak Cliff? I guess it's Dr. Stephen and
- 52:37Speaker 6: the Dallas Mannequin House. It's got all those mannequins out
- 52:40Speaker 6: front that are staring.
- 52:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I love it.
- 52:42Speaker 6: Well, we have some new details about it from the homeowner.
- 52:46Speaker 6: He originally says he planned to have 60 mannequins in
- 52:49Speaker 6: front of his house, only to find that they were
- 52:51Speaker 6: $ 100 each. So he had 40 because that fit his
- 52:54Speaker 6: budget for Amazon.
- 52:55Speaker 4: Jeez.
- 52:56Speaker 6: But they actually each have bracelets with the names of
- 52:59Speaker 6: his exes on them. So if you take a close look,
- 53:02Speaker 6: there's Jennifer, Dusty, Jessica.
- 53:06Speaker 1: I know.
- 53:07Speaker 4: Weird.
- 53:07Speaker 1: That took a weird turn.
- 53:08Speaker 6: It did.
- 53:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:09Speaker 6: Originally, I guess he said he had the idea to
- 53:11Speaker 6: crash a helicopter in the front yard. But his current
- 53:14Speaker 6: girlfriend kind of influenced him not to do that because
- 53:17Speaker 6: she's a skydiver and didn't really want to see that.
- 53:19Speaker 6: She jumps out of helicopters.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I still want to talk to this guy in the air.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:23Speaker 6: We should call him because, you know, he's already got
- 53:25Speaker 6: the theme for next year, too. He said he's halfway
- 53:27Speaker 6: through building a Ghostbusters-style laser shooting gallery. And you can actually,
- 53:31Speaker 6: you know, it has proton packs and you can play
- 53:33Speaker 6: the game for a dollar.
- 53:35Speaker 4: Oh.
- 53:36Speaker 6: Yeah, so it'll be interactive next year, but he's got
- 53:38Speaker 6: his Venmo and his bio if you want to, you know,
- 53:40Speaker 6: donate to the cause of whatever he's going to build
- 53:42Speaker 6: out there for next year.
- 53:43Speaker 1: How would you like it if your, you know, your
- 53:45Speaker 1: current boyfriend had his exes... All on the front lawn.
- 53:49Speaker 1: And they were like, you know, mannequins. And that's a
- 53:51Speaker 1: lot of exes.
- 53:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 53:53Speaker 1: 40 exes?
- 53:53Speaker 6: I mean, I don't know if all 40 of them
- 53:55Speaker 6: have different names or if some of them have, you know,
- 53:57Speaker 6: if there's like eight Jessicas or whatever it is.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Well, first of all, nobody dated eight Jessicas.
- 54:03Speaker 6: Well, no, I mean, it's the same Jessica just like
- 54:05Speaker 6: eight times.
- 54:05Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Or he dated eight Jessicas.
- 54:07Speaker 6: He may have.
- 54:08Speaker 1: But you learn your lesson after the first one. You
- 54:11Speaker 1: learn your lesson after the first Jessica. Yeah, you don't
- 54:14Speaker 1: go back after the first.
- 54:15Speaker 6: And the first Ashley.
- 54:17Speaker 1: Dusty? Yeah.
- 54:18Speaker 2: I've never, no.
- 54:19Speaker 6: Oh, I have a Dusty friend. She's awesome.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Really?
- 54:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 54:24Speaker 1: Sounds like a psycho.
- 54:24Speaker 6: She was my best friend in elementary school.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Well, she sounds, I'm sure she's great. I'm sure she's, oh.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Oh, they're all beautiful.
- 54:33Speaker 1: In the inside. Yeah. Yeah.
- 54:35Speaker 6: Anyways, wanted to update you on that. I'm Candace Lopez.
- 54:38Speaker 6: Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Oh, that's a hot take.
- 54:42Speaker 4: Let us know what you think. Here's today's hot take.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Mix 102.9.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Hopefully you're having a good morning. It's Bailey the Kid,
- 54:48Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, producer Pooh. By the way, we got some
- 54:50Speaker 1: money if you want some. Coming up, we got our
- 54:52Speaker 1: cash cow. So if you want $ 1, 000, make sure you
- 54:55Speaker 1: listen for your chance to win from Mudana. Get it, Candace?
- 54:59Speaker 6: I like it.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I'd explain it to Pooh. You did?
- 55:02Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 55:02Speaker 2: I was like, moo, Donna.
- 55:04Speaker 6: The cash cow.
- 55:06Speaker 2: Gotcha.
- 55:07Speaker 6: Moo, Donna, Madonna, moo.
- 55:08Speaker 1: You get it.
- 55:08Speaker 2: Either way, we got money.
- 55:09Speaker 1: Moolah. 840, another shot to win. And then we'll do
- 55:12Speaker 1: it all day on the 40s. So get your cash.
- 55:15Speaker 1: Why not? It's an expensive time of the year coming
- 55:17Speaker 1: up with the holidays and everything. All right. Now, hot
- 55:19Speaker 1: take of the day. I think I figured out something
- 55:21Speaker 1: because there's such a weird, I don't know. It's tough
- 55:24Speaker 1: to date, especially when you get a little bit older.
- 55:27Speaker 1: You know, I mean, dating's tough in general, but when
- 55:30Speaker 1: you're in your like 40s, 30s, 40s, it's just like,
- 55:33Speaker 1: what is happening?
- 55:34Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:34Speaker 1: And I think I figured it out because I think
- 55:35Speaker 1: there's a disconnect between, especially in your 40s, a disconnect
- 55:40Speaker 1: when it comes to what you think is like acceptable nowadays.
- 55:44Speaker 1: There's been a shift in our world.
- 55:45Speaker 4: Right.
- 55:46Speaker 1: And this was a good question I saw somebody ask
- 55:48Speaker 1: on Reddit. They said, what used to be romantic that
- 55:51Speaker 1: is creepy today? And they brought up a specific example.
- 55:54Speaker 1: You know, I'm not a movie person.
- 55:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:56Speaker 1: But they were like, if this were to happen nowadays,
- 55:59Speaker 1: this would be considered creepy. And it used to be
- 56:02Speaker 1: considered one of the most iconic, most romantic movie scenes
- 56:05Speaker 1: in history. What is it? John Cusack, where he holds
- 56:10Speaker 1: up the boom box in the movie Say Anything.
- 56:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Right. And he's outside of the girl's house, you know.
- 56:16Speaker 1: And he's playing, what was it, In Your Eyes? Yeah,
- 56:19Speaker 1: Peter Gabriel.
- 56:20Speaker 6: Peter Gabriel.
- 56:20Speaker 1: That's right.
- 56:21Speaker 2: And it was really romantic. He just showed up at
- 56:23Speaker 2: her house.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Right.
- 56:24Speaker 1: People were going off about it online, saying, if you
- 56:27Speaker 1: did that in 2026, you are a psychopath.
- 56:30Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, maybe a little bit. But if a
- 56:32Speaker 6: kid did this for a promposal or asked to ho-co,
- 56:36Speaker 6: that would be cute.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Yeah, they'd think it's cute. Well, I don't know.
- 56:39Speaker 6: A grown man with a boombox.
- 56:41Speaker 2: Well, I think it's because you expect it around homecoming.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Are you expected around prom?
- 56:46Speaker 1: So then people started listing things that used to be
- 56:47Speaker 1: acceptable that wouldn't be today.
- 56:49Speaker 2: You want to hear some of them?
- 56:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Because some I don't.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Agree with this.
- 56:52Speaker 1: They said in general, secret admirers are just creepy in 2026. Oh, yeah.
- 56:58Speaker 6: That is a little creepy.
- 56:59Speaker 2: They're like, do not be a secret admirer. Oh, don't
- 57:03Speaker 2: do it.
- 57:03Speaker 1: It's weird. It's just bad.
- 57:05Speaker 2: It's never going to come across in the right way.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Which we've had people call up for dirty little secret
- 57:10Speaker 1: and say they left notes on people's cars.
- 57:12Speaker 6: Right.
- 57:14Speaker 1: And, you know, I work with this girl in the
- 57:15Speaker 1: strip mall. One guy, I work with this girl in
- 57:17Speaker 1: the strip mall and I thought she's really cute. So
- 57:19Speaker 1: I left something on her, a note on her car. Yeah,
- 57:22Speaker 1: that's cute.
- 57:23Speaker 6: But we're always watching our backs. We don't trust anybody.
- 57:25Speaker 1: And she called the cops, you know, and you're like, well,
- 57:29Speaker 1: I get it. Yeah.
- 57:30Speaker 2: Secret admirers. OK, I think that's hit or miss.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, this person said, yeah, back in the day
- 57:37Speaker 1: when I was younger, my dad used to tell me
- 57:39Speaker 1: if I was going to ask a girl out, I
- 57:41Speaker 1: should send them flowers. Right. And most of the women
- 57:45Speaker 1: in this thread said no.
- 57:47Speaker 4: No.
- 57:48Speaker 2: That is creepy.
- 57:49Speaker 6: To ask them out?
- 57:50Speaker 1: Sending flowers to ask someone out. What's wrong with that?
- 57:55Speaker 1: First of all, what's wrong with that, Pooh? You've never
- 57:57Speaker 1: done that in your life. No lie. I have in
- 58:00Speaker 1: the past. You've sent a girl flowers to ask her
- 58:02Speaker 1: out for the first time?
- 58:03Speaker 4: Yes.
- 58:04Speaker 1: Like back in the day-day. Really? Yeah. Look, I'm somewhat romantic, Billy.
- 58:11Speaker 1: Where's the line music? Yeah, I have.
- 58:14Speaker 7: Matter of fact, C-Murder, the first time I asked her out,
- 58:19Speaker 7: I sent her flowers to her job.
- 58:20Speaker 6: And the card said what?
- 58:23Speaker 7: I don't remember exactly what the card said. Well, C-Murder
- 58:26Speaker 7: is a girl we used to date, by the way.
- 58:28Speaker 7: Can we call her by her real name?
- 58:29Speaker 1: Yeah, sorry. Cindy. Come on. Cindy.
- 58:32Speaker 6: I didn't know her real name.
- 58:33Speaker 1: You didn't?
- 58:34Speaker 6: That's the only way I've known her.
- 58:35Speaker 2: Well, I like C-Murder, too, but people think I'm dating
- 58:37Speaker 2: a cellmate.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Right. You sent her flowers to her job when she
- 58:42Speaker 1: worked downtown? Yeah. To ask her out.
- 58:45Speaker 6: And she obviously said yes.
- 58:46Speaker 4: Yeah, of course.
- 58:47Speaker 1: All right. She was feeling me back in the day.
- 58:49Speaker 2: That surprised me.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah.
- 58:51Speaker 2: I think that's sweet.
- 58:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:53Speaker 6: If he knows the person or you know them, it's
- 58:55Speaker 6: not like, you know, secret admirer flowers.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Well, but most of the people online said no.
- 59:01Speaker 2: They don't think it's... It's very forward. It's too much.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Okay. Another thing on the list they said would be
- 59:07Speaker 1: creepy now. And, you know, romantic back in the day
- 59:09Speaker 1: was showing... up at someone's house unannounced. Yeah.
- 59:12Speaker 6: Yeah, creepy.
- 59:14Speaker 4: Weird.
- 59:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 59:15Speaker 2: That makes it feel like you're trying to catch me
- 59:16Speaker 2: doing something.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Oh.
- 59:18Speaker 6: See, I didn't think that.
- 59:19Speaker 2: What did you think?
- 59:20Speaker 6: I just thought, like, you can't call me, FaceTime me,
- 59:22Speaker 6: text me, DM me.
- 59:24Speaker 1: You got to show up. Yeah, but back in the day,
- 59:26Speaker 1: you just show up.
- 59:27Speaker 6: Take your chance.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Yeah. I never have done that. Never just show up
- 59:31Speaker 1: at somebody's house. I mean, since I was a kid.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Last time I did that was probably in fourth grade.
- 59:35Speaker 1: I'd show up and say, I'll see if they could
- 59:36Speaker 1: play outside. But I'm never going to do that to
- 59:39Speaker 1: somebody like a, no, a girl or a woman. I
- 59:42Speaker 1: know some girls have done it to me.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but probably because you were doing something stupid.
- 59:48Speaker 4: Right.
- 59:48Speaker 6: They were checking on you.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Right. That's what I would think if somebody does that.
- 59:52Speaker 1: They're trying to pop up to catch you doing something. Hey,
- 59:55Speaker 1: just thinking of you. They said this was creepy. Sending
- 59:58Speaker 1: flowers to their job after the date. Oh, why?
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: I don't know. There's nothing creepy about that. If you're
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: bringing the flowers yourself unannounced, I could see where someone
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: might think that's creepy.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: So I can send them to your work, but I
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: can't take them to your work.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: Right. I think it's sweet either way.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:00:15Speaker 6: I do, but I could see where someone might be like, ooh,
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: this is showing up unannounced.
- 1:00:18Speaker 7: And also, doesn't it depend on what kind of flowers?
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: Because if you just, like roses, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: But if you just hit them with a summer... bouquet
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: you know it's.
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: Not a summer bouquet yeah it's not as who.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Are you what it depends on what flowers now you're
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: getting down to what flowers yeah.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: Because i've heard if you do if you send them
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: roses it's like whoa.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: That's yeah that's a serious that's serious.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: Thing girl like girls have told me this so that's
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: what i'm saying but if you send them like with
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: a subtle summer what did you send yeah what did
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: you send sea murder yeah i sent her like some
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: a summer bouquet like tulips.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: And That's a whole arrangement.
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: Just a variety.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't send her like roses.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: Red roses.
- 1:00:56Speaker 7: Yeah, because I know that would have been like, you know,
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: I'm in love with you. And I really wasn't in
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: love like.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: In the beginning. Oh, but then you were?
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Who broke up with who?
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Huh? Who broke up with who? Which time? Like, I
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: told her I was through. She was like, I'm through
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: with you. And then somehow, someway.
- 1:01:12Speaker 6: I'm more through.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Did you send her flowers then?
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: No, I didn't.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Did she ever send you flowers?
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: No. You know that.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: You'd be there sometimes. She'd be cussing me out.
- 1:01:21Speaker 8: On the phone.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: She'd send you to the hospital.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, what about this one? Now, this is the
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: one I'm curious what women think about. And this is,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: to me, the one that is interesting. Tracking down someone
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you thought was beautiful.
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: Tracking them down?
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: For example, and people were talking about it in the thread.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: They're like, for example, you see someone, you know, at
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the mall. You're at the gallery across the street and
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you're like, oh, my God, she's gorgeous.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Yeah. And then you see her walk into, I'm just
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: going to name a place, Sunglass Hut. Okay.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: And you're like, oh, she works at Sunglass Hut.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: And now, you know, she works there.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Would it be creepy if you sent her a note
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: or came the next day and said, hey, I saw
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: you walk in and you want people. I mean, 90
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: percent of people thought that was creepy in the comments.
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: Yeah. But I'm like, is it if she works there?
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: I don't think it's creepy.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: Well, she works there.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: You'd know where to find her.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: But if you ever had somebody track you down because
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: they happen to see you out and they thought you were.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and they found you somehow on Instagram or they found
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you somehow.
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: No, that's too much.
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: You think so?
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: Being physically there and being like, oh, I saw her
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: walk in a sunglass hut. She works there. Let me
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: swing through. That's totally fine. That's normal.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: That is?
- 1:02:32Speaker 6: I think so.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think I can do that. See,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I think. I'd have to go through somebody like, hey.
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: I'd have to get somebody to get her attention. I'd
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: be like, hey, Billy, go talk to that girl.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: No.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: You would definitely cruise in and try on some Ray-Bans
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: and act like you were just shopping.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: For sure.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: That, to me, makes most... See, no, you would send
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: somebody else into.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Yeah, like.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: That's not creepy.
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: Versus, like, you know, hey, send it something to Sunglass
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: Hut and say, hey, I.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I noticed you or something like that. That sounds creepy.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: Oh, well, a lot of people thought that.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: I didn't think they would be that creepy.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: No. Like you can't approach people. I mean, and then again, though,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I do get it. Do women, do you ever want
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: to be approached if you're just out and about? Not really. Exactly.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: How hard? This is what I'm saying. It's so hard.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know because they're not looking to meet someone.
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: I feel like at a bar or like somewhere like that,
- 1:03:27Speaker 6: it's like people are more likely to like want to
- 1:03:28Speaker 6: meet people. But when you're just like running errands and stuff.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: So at a bar, yes.
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: Probably, yeah. It'd be more acceptable.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Where can we approach you? Bar, yes.
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: Bar, yes.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Okay. Gallery, no.
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: You can't approach them at the bar because all these
- 1:03:42Speaker 7: girls always travel with one ugly friend.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: I didn't mean to say it like that. But, you know,
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: one friend that nobody's talking to. I'm telling the truth.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: That's not true. That's not true.
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: She usually hates on you. Well, it's been my experience. Like,
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: there'll be a girl I see at a bar and
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: I'll be like, I want to holler at her. But
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: I know for a fact she got a friend that
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: nobody's paying attention to. So I always talk to the friend.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Well, that's rude. The friend's going to put in a
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: good word. Oh, girl, he's nice and yada, yada, yada.
- 1:04:09Speaker 6: But that girl thinks you're talking to her to talk
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: to her.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Then you're getting her hopes up.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: No, but I tell her. I say, hey, I want
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: to talk to your friend. Like, I know how to
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: do it.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: That's obvious. You've been single.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: For 17 years. You got it all figured out.
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: The new Mix 102.9.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: As I'm sitting here making fun of Pooh for being
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: single for the last 17 years, guess what? Yeah, what?
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: This might change. We have an update.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it's Mix 102.9, Ability Kid, Candice Lopez, Producer Pooh. Well,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: we mentioned this yesterday because, well, there was a bunch
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: of stuff going on where he met this girl.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: And then, well, basically she ghosted him. Yeah, you called
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: her spirit.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: I said, she just get ready for Halloween. She's just
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: ghosting you.
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: No, we're going to go to La La Land or something.
- 1:04:56Speaker 6: A coffee date.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: They were supposed to go to La La Land and
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: she never. Yeah, on Saturday.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: And she never, she text him last minute, like right
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: before they were supposed to go on the date. Right.
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: Within an hour and a half and said she couldn't
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: do it and really didn't explain why. Yeah. And then
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: just was like.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: That's it. That's it. No explanation. I said, let me
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: know if you need anything. Nothing. Yeah.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Some came up and some things do come up.
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: But that is, you know, canceling that soon kind of sucks.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: And then he just casually said, we got an update,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: a breaking news update.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I know. She reached back out.
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: She did?
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Oh, good. Oh, she did. Yeah, she reached back out,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: said sorry again. She said again, I'm sorry. She reached
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: back out and she was like, hey, let's... Let's see
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: if we can link up tonight. Tonight? Like tonight, tonight? Yeah,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: this evening. But she wants to link. She said, are
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: you free around 5 or 630? Maybe 5 or 630.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: This evening? Come on, girl.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Well, what's wrong with that?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: I don't get that. What do you mean?
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Come on, girl.
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: Why is that disappointing?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: Well, first of all, because I got to be in
- 1:06:01Speaker 7: Fort Worth today.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Oh, that's right. We're going to Fort Worth.
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: And then I'm going to try to rush back. I
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: know I'll be late. And I don't want to be,
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: you know, even though she.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Well, we're doing the Tarrant County Sheriff's job fair. Right.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: From one to three.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: So, and then once, you know, because I got to
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: run some.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: People don't know I'm an operative. Yeah.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: For Sheriff Abdaal. Out there. We're going to be out there.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: So after I get done with my police work.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: Yeah. Right.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Then I said, poo, he can do whatever he wants.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Okay. He's going to dismiss me. Yeah. What? Yeah, I just,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: We'll get done at three.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: You got plenty of time to get back out here
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: and do whatever. La La Land or whatever.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I just, I don't know. I'd rather. No, you're going
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: to play hard to get.
- 1:06:42Speaker 6: Y'all can't go to coffee at five.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I just, I want to do. Why not?
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: If anything, I'd rather go to a dinner or something like.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: That, but not.
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: Wait, so she can only hang from 5 to 6.30?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: That's it.
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: He said 5 or 6.30. 5 to 6.30?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: Yeah, 5 to 6.30. That's her time constraint. I'm like, golly.
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: She has kids probably and things going on.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Well, she does have two kids. Well, then that's what
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: the time she has.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: So do it. So why not?
- 1:07:10Speaker 6: Just meet up with her.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: What's wrong with that?
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: What do you want to do dinner?
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: Yeah, and then you have an out. If it's weird,
- 1:07:15Speaker 6: it's like, oh, well, she has to go at 6.30 anyways.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's perfect.
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: That's a dream come true. So you think I should
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: try to do it? Well, I mean, I think you
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: should try to do something at this point in your life.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: The clock's ticking.
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: Make it happen, Paul.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Make it happen.
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: You'll be back over here. You have time to shower
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: and get ready.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Listen, I said if she reaches out, we don't need
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: to shower. Yeah, we do.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: You don't need to shower. You're fine.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: But either way, what I'm saying is. Well, he's not
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: going to be training. I'm training out there.
- 1:07:45Speaker 6: Okay, fair enough.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: So I won't break a sweat out there.
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: No.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: At the job fair. Exactly. But what I'm saying is,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: I said, if she reaches back out, then you should go.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: And she did. She made the effort to reach back out,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: so you should definitely go on a date with her.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: But my thing is, if a woman tells you what
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: they want to do and they're specific about it, do that.
- 1:08:06Speaker 6: For sure.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Don't do dinner. She doesn't want to do dinner.
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: I'm trying to set the tone, though. And obviously, when
- 1:08:12Speaker 7: I set the tone, it don't work. Because I said, let's,
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: you know. If she says, Candace, you know.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Yeah. If you say, hey, I'd love to grab coffee,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: you know, from 530 to 630.
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: That's the expectation in her mind that she is cool with.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: She's laughing.
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: I think it's kind of funny now.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: No, just go. I would go.
- 1:08:32Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: But don't try to change the plans. Be like, oh,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I'd love to, but I'd really, I'd rather go get
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Chipotle instead. No, she doesn't want to get, she doesn't
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: want to eat.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: In front of you.
- 1:08:41Speaker 6: She might not.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Or, you know, I mean, some people don't like doing
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: that on the first date.
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: Right, she already knows what she's comfortable with because she
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: was going to be comfortable with it on Saturday.
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: Now, let me ask both of y'all this because she
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: hadn't really explained herself about, she just said something came
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: up and then she let me know then leave it
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: so I shouldn't bring it up when we know so
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: if we get there I get there and she don't
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: say anything about doesn't matter why she stood me up
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: I bet she'll bring it up but if she don't is.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: That a red flag that's a red that's a red
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: flag ain't it well.
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: Kind of she canceled on him last minute I want
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: to know what's.
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: Going on yeah I mean no be honest be cool
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: you can be if you feel comfortable but if she
- 1:09:17Speaker 7: doesn't she doesn't want to get into it move on
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: dude What, are you going to hang on to the past?
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: She can't. Saturday. Yeah. It was like two days ago.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: I know, but she couldn't. She had to cancel plans.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: What if she doesn't want to tell you what happened?
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Maybe it was personal. She doesn't know you like that.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: Move on. She does know me. She's known me for years.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: She hasn't seen you and hung on with you. All right,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: then go ahead and investigate. Okay, if I just accept it,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: am I accepting a pattern? That's what I'm asking you.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 1:09:45Speaker 8: Listen.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I'm exhausted. I'm already asking you for help.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: She's going to explain herself. I guarantee you she'll explain it.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: Candace, if he does this to her, she's going to
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: be like, red flag.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: Y'all are both waving red flags.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: Yeah. She's going to be like, listen, we just. It's
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: coffee date. Now you're asking me, is this a pattern?
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I'm just asking. I'm me speaking freely to y'all. I'm
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: just asking.
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: If she cancels you tonight, then it's a pattern.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Then I never speak to her again.
- 1:10:13Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: If she cancels today after she suggested it, then that's
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: a red flag. But if not, go and have fun.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Come on.
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: Stop overthinking it.
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: Otherwise she has baggage and she's not ready to date.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Yes. Hey, can I borrow some money? For me?
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Oh, thanks. I need you to get a girlfriend. Yeah,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: me too. This will make, trust me, this is an
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: investment for us.
- 1:10:38Speaker 5: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: Kid in the morning.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Only on the new Mix 102.9. We got some more
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: money coming up in the 40s.
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: We do it all day, so make sure you listen.
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: If you want $ 1, 000 worth our cash cow, Candace.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: Lopez, what is going on?
- 1:10:52Speaker 6: Well, DFW International Airport was just ranked the most stressful
- 1:10:56Speaker 6: airport in the country. High rates of flight delays and cancellations,
- 1:11:00Speaker 6: as well as significant travel distances, are the reasons why.
- 1:11:03Speaker 6: But FlightAddis shows DFW had nearly 28% of all flights
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: last year delayed.
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I like DFW Airport, though. I do. Some
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: of the terminals.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: Every airport's going to have its issues.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: What terminal don't you like?
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: I can't remember which one.
- 1:11:19Speaker 5: Is it C.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Well, is that the one? It's the worst one to me.
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: Some are older than others. Is that what you mean?
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the old one.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I don't know. I just can't wait to
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: fly out of McKinney. I can't believe we're getting in
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: like a real airport in McKinney.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: We have it.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: I think it's up and running.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Okay. Non-stop, like nine non-stop flights. You can fly to Vegas.
- 1:11:38Speaker 6: That's awesome.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Miami. Yeah.
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: Take some of the traffic from DFW.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. So now we'll have another air
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: in McKinney.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: I like it.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: Guys, uh, actress Selma Blair was arrested and charged with
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: assault after an alleged altercation with flight attendants. This was
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: on a Delta flight to New York. A rep for
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: Selma says she experienced a medical emergency and She reportedly
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: punched a flight attendant and then bit another flight crew member.
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: One of them was taken to the hospital. She was
- 1:12:06Speaker 6: also taken to the hospital for evaluation. Her attorney said
- 1:12:10Speaker 6: she boarded the flight after extensive hours on set that
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: she fell and hit her head on the plane, missing
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: her medication. You know, she suffers from MS and it's
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: pretty debilitating.
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: But, yeah, I guess she was going to be back
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: in court in January. She was also removed from an
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: international flight back in 2016 after mistakenly mixing alcohol with medication. So, yeah, hopefully,
- 1:12:35Speaker 6: you know, they can get this figured out. And I
- 1:12:37Speaker 6: just feel bad for the crew on this flight and
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: her not being able to, you know, take her medication.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: I mean, these flight attendants have to put up with
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: so much ridiculous stuff. Now I'm getting bit. Yeah.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: Selma Blair's biting me.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: What is going on? What a weird world.
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: It's very weird.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:12:53Speaker 6: I mean, it's hard to see her, you know.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Well, bottom line is she's going through obviously some mental
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: issues and that is something I'll never make fun of.
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely not.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: So I hope she gets better. Listen, I mean, there
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: is something also, too, about traveling. that does kind of
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: bring up your anxiety. Yeah.
- 1:13:11Speaker 6: It's stressful.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: It is stressful.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: So sometimes just here, if you're experiencing something, you know,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: that might just trigger it and be just enough. And
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: then medications and drinks, if they're involved and, Yep, yep.
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: I'll keep you posted, though, for sure. Guys, I don't
- 1:13:25Speaker 6: know if you heard about this, but there is a
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: new Britney Spears song. It was released from the vaults
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: and co-written by Justin Timberlake. So this is one of
- 1:13:34Speaker 6: five songs that's going to be part of the Britney
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition album that comes out next month.
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: So the song is called She'll Never Be Me.
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: Hold on, I'm going to play a little piece of it.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: It's playing right now, actually.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 1:13:48Speaker 6: I love it.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: There's a reason it didn't make the album.
- 1:13:51Speaker 6: I know, but I still love it because it's her
- 1:13:53Speaker 6: and it's that vibe from, you know, 25 years ago
- 1:13:56Speaker 6: that was everything we were listening to.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: You know, it does sound like the very, yeah.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: It makes me sad because her path should have gone
- 1:14:04Speaker 6: where it is today.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: No.
- 1:14:05Speaker 6: It's not fair.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: It's not fair. That's another issue of mental problems. It's
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: just mental health's important. I would love if Britney was
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: healthy enough to.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: To do a show at the Sphere.
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: For sure.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: With NSYNC and Backstreet Boys. Take that tour and put
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: it on the road.
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: No, it'd be sold out everywhere.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: You could easily do AT & T Stadium with a
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: TRL tour.
- 1:14:26Speaker 6: Yeah. For sure. Let's make it happen, guys. Expect more
- 1:14:30Speaker 6: surprises coming every week from Britney Spears. That's according to
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: her official Facebook page. I'll keep you posted. I'm Candace Lopez.
- 1:14:37Speaker 6: Those are your Texas Top Stories.
- 1:14:39Speaker 8: The new Mix 102.9. it's dirty little secret with billy

- 1:14:59Speaker 1: lopez producer poo and if you've got a secret 833-787-1029
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: and you got one.
- 1:15:05Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: I have a secret that I've literally never told anyone,
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: but I already know that you're going to think I'm
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: completely insane once you hear about it.
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: I don't think so, but go ahead.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: I've always been pretty, like, OCD. My friends and family
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: know that I'm just, like, ridiculously organized. My closet is
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: organized by color, season, and sometimes, hey, even alphabetically by
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: brand within, like, the colors and seasons.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Really? So your closet is organized alphabetically by brand and
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: color and everything.
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: I'm jealous.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: Hey, I'm taking commissions. Welcome to your closet.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: His closet is nothing but black t-shirts. Mine's a mess.
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: So anyway, go ahead.
- 1:15:48Speaker 3: The thing is, I'm really organized, but I think that
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: nobody really understands how far my obsession with being organized goes.
- 1:15:56Speaker 3: For the past 15 years, I've kept like This detailed
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: spreadsheet of every single person in my life.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: What?
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: Like family, friends, coworkers, ex-boyfriends, even my current boyfriend has
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: a section in it. And so I call it the system.
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: What?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: You have a name for it. So wait.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: What's the system for?
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: You keep a spreadsheet on your friends, family, everybody around you. Yeah.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: What does it do? Like, wow. Wow.
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's not just the basics like birthdays
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: and favorite colors. It's like I have a file on
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: each person and I have notes about like everything.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Wow. Who does?
- 1:16:36Speaker 6: You're like recording your life.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Yeah, notes on what though?
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Well, like I put like the last time we talked,
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: what we chatted about, and when we last hung out
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: and what we did. And sometimes I even rate our
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: interactions on a scale of one to ten based on
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: how much I enjoyed my time.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: So you'll rank people, rate them, say, I'm going to
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: note what we did, how much I liked it, what
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: we talked about this person's, the notes and history on them. Yeah.
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: Like a doctor would do after your appointment. Cause I
- 1:17:06Speaker 6: feel like they, how did you remember that I was
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: about to do that last year?
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: Okay. So I remember some.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Things, but also just writing them down helps anyway.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: So you do this because it, and what do you
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: do with it?
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Well, I can, based, so, like, the way I have
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: the system, I can just type someone's name into the system,
- 1:17:24Speaker 3: and it'll pull up, like, a complete history of us.
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: And so, like, I can pull up somebody I've been
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: on a date with, and, like, I can look at, like,
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: somebody I've been with before, and, like, every argument we had, and, like,
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: can look at patterns, and every gift someone has ever
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: given me. Like, I could look up what Aunt Susie
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: got me for Christmas from, like, eight years ago.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: That is kind of fascinating.
- 1:17:47Speaker 6: It's very fascinating. How long have you been doing this?
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: I mean, since I was a teenager, but back then
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: I carried around a notebook and I would write things
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: down throughout the day. But now I like make notes
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: on my phone and then sometimes I'm like, I'm so
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: excited to get home and put everything in the system.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: So it's called a system. That's another thing I can't
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: get over. So you've done this since a teenager, and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: you just keep doing it. Is it getting better? Is
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: it getting worse? I mean, when I say better or worse,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: are you doing it more often?
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: I mean, the older I get, the more detailed it becomes. Because,
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: I mean, I think some people could say it's like
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: a diary, except, like, instead of writing just about my day,
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: I'm documenting, like, everyone else's.
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if it's like a diary.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not a diary. But does your current boyfriend
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: know that? our interactions yeah that's true does your current
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: boyfriend i think you said you had one does he
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: know you do this uh.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: No i think you'd think i'm a psychopath but like
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: no one no one knows about this not even like
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: my best friends.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Oh okay um but why do you do it like
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: i mean did you have.
- 1:18:49Speaker 6: A bad memory because i do and i write stuff
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: down to try to remember you do yeah yeah i
- 1:18:55Speaker 6: don't know necessarily why i started doing it but like.
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: It's nice to have and there's just something super satisfying
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: about having everything documented and organized like my brain doesn't
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: forget much but like if i do.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: It's there Wow. So it's satisfying to you. It makes
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: you feel good.
- 1:19:12Speaker 3: Yeah. I swear I'm a normal person otherwise. I just
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: happen to have like a searchable database of basically every
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: human being I've ever come in contact with.
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: I love this.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: So if you go to lunch with one of your
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: friends and lunch was so-so. Yeah, I get that. So
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: like I went to lunch with Pooh yesterday. I'm going
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: to rank it a four. Why? What was it for?
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Out of 10.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: I paid for the bill.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: He didn't talk. He was on his phone the whole time.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I put that note. Matter of fact, I might start
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: doing this. Well, everybody was calling me. But your friends
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: don't know that you do this, though.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: They don't even know.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: No one knows.
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: I think it's kind of interesting.
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: It feels like you have your life together. People will
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: tell me from years ago, oh, remember when you gave
- 1:19:55Speaker 6: me that thing or whatever? And I'll be like, don't
- 1:19:57Speaker 6: remember that. And they'll be like, wow, I was really thoughtful.
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: I just do things in my heart in the moment
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: and forget.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: And I think that's pretty normal. But you could go
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: back and be like, I remember that. It was August 8th.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: We had Chipotle.
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: You had the burrito.
- 1:20:12Speaker 6: We talked about the drama with your sister and all
- 1:20:15Speaker 6: of the things with whatever.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: Hey, whatever makes you happy.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: If that makes you happy and it brings you a
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: satisfying feeling, do it. It's not hurting anybody. Right.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: I wish I was that organized.
- 1:20:25Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I really do. I'm not. Well, thank you for your secret. Wait,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: are we going to get in? Are we in the spreadsheet?
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Will we be in the spreadsheet after this? Yeah, what
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: are you ranking us?
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: I don't want to know. I guess we'll have to
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: chat another time for you to find out. Okay, good.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Tell us later. There you go. Dirty little secret. We'll
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: do it again tomorrow. All right, we're about to get
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: out of here. We'll see you later. So much money
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: all day. So many chances to win with our cash cow.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: So make sure you listen on the 40s all day.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez, Producer Pooh. We're
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: out of here. Hopefully, I'll see you all tomorrow.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: Just don't know.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: Well, keep me posted. Well, with everything going on in
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: my life, and now, today, we're going to Tarrant County
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Sheriff's Office, the job fair down there.
- 1:21:08Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: It's at 1500 Circle Drive in Fort Worth. If you
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: want to come by, say hi from 1 to 3.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: But they've been trying to recruit me for a while.
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:21:17Speaker 7: I don't understand why you wouldn't tell us that, that
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: they were trying to recruit you on the Lola.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: First of all, I was undercover. They wanted me to
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: go undercover, so I wasn't going to tell you, an
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: average civilian, that. Okay. Wow.
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: Who's coming out with me today, though?
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: But they're not going to recruit him, just you.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: No, we need someone to help. We need to practice
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: tasing someone. So shout out to my boy, Sheriff Opdahl.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: He's going to let me use his taser, he said. Wow. Wow.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you want to come out.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: No, but for real, I mean, in all seriousness, they
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: are doing a job fair, which I'm like, why not
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: go down there?
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: They're doing like on-site testing.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Wow. They're looking for different things, you know, including like
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: detention officers and whatnot.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: And starting pay is like $ 27 an hour.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Okay. So, yeah, you can be, you know, work for
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: the Tarrant County Sheriff. Why not?
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: So we're going to go out there one to three.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: We'll see out there.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: We're hanging out.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Just whatever. Candace, you're more than welcome to come if
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: you'd like.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: I know you got things to do.
- 1:22:10Speaker 6: They might try to recruit me, too. I run pretty fast.
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: You are pretty speedy.
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm pretty strong.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: What job would you do?
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: That's a good question. That's for them to tell me,
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: I guess.
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: I know what I would assign you on.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: Yeah, what? You could easily sneak in as a high
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: school student. Oh, she'd be undercover as a high school student.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:22:29Speaker 6: I would love that.
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: Or, yeah.
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: Yeah, if I wear a backpack, I could totally walk
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: into high school.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if they need, like, I was
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: going to say.
- 1:22:35Speaker 6: Just be on my phone, super normal.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: Because you do look like certain celebrities, especially one. But
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know if they could utilize that
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: in any way.
- 1:22:41Speaker 6: Dora the Explorer.
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: I wasn't going to say that.
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: Yes, you were.
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: No, I wasn't. But either way, we're going to be
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: out there.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: Pooey and I will be out there today from 1
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: to 3.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Nice, guys.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Just doing police stuff.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Yeah. It's not a big deal. Maybe they'll give me
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: a bag. Yeah.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: No, probably not. What do you got going on today?
- 1:23:01Speaker 6: I'm going to the fair today.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: You're going to the fair?
- 1:23:04Speaker 6: Yeah, because I haven't seen Big Tex yet. When we
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: went for the corny dog walk, remember we went in
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: and went to opening ceremonies. I didn't get to see
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: Big Tex.
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: Right. So, yeah.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Well, tell me tonight. I got to see him in
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: his new shirt. Yeah, he does look good.
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: Last week at the fair.
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: I think he's on a GLP-1, too.
- 1:23:17Speaker 4: Is he?
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: I'll ask him.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: I'll ask him which one, yeah. Yeah, he looks great.
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: Peptide, yes.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, cool. Well, then we'll see you later.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Have a great day, whatever you do. If we see
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you out there in Fort Worth, we'd love to see you.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: I'm sure I'll be here tomorrow, but, you know, just
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: in case.
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: Well, let me know before I go to bed so
- 1:23:34Speaker 6: I can turn off my alarm.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: Oh.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: Well, maybe it's just going to be your show. So
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: you might just show up and do this alone.
- 1:23:40Speaker 6: Oh, my God.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: Well, you'll have Pooh.
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: He'll be. Trust me, he'll be here. Yeah, I'll be here. Yeah,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: he'll be here. We're not recruiting him.
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: We'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: All right. See you tomorrow.
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: Have a good day.
- 1:23:50Speaker 4: Bye.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: The Metroplex is spoken.
