- 0:00Speaker 1: A routine souled smear confirmed the presence of pure evil.
- 0:03Speaker 1: It was then I knew the only option was to
- 0:05Speaker 1: separate you two immediately. You'll both need to design these.
- 0:12Speaker 1: But what to do with poor Hugo too crazy for
- 0:16Speaker 1: boys down, too much of a boy for crazy town.
- 0:19Speaker 1: The child was an outcast. So we did the only
- 0:22Speaker 1: humane thing.
- 0:23Speaker 2: We changed you go up in the attic like an
- 0:25Speaker 2: animal and fed them a bucket of fishheads once.
- 0:27Speaker 3: So we it saved our marriage.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Welcome to four figure discounts upon us. Now the spooky
- 0:44Speaker 4: season here, it's up, Toriber. I'm not quite Halloween yet,
- 0:47Speaker 4: but it's coming. So we thought what we'd do is
- 0:49Speaker 4: we go back and turns out we've done Treasa Horror five,
- 0:52Speaker 4: Trias of Horror six, and recently we did Simpsons did
- 0:55Speaker 4: it on Going down to Southwark, which talks about the
- 0:57Speaker 4: Genesis tubs. So now we're doing Triasa Horror. Evan, I'm
- 1:00Speaker 4: down and I am guy.
- 1:01Speaker 5: That was a very good explanation, Dan, I appreciate it.
- 1:04Speaker 5: And for those of you are not watching on YouTube,
- 1:06Speaker 5: not watching our videos, Dano did spirit fingers when he
- 1:10Speaker 5: was talking about spooky season. He's the spooky ghosts. He's
- 1:14Speaker 5: really getting into the spirit of things, which which I
- 1:16Speaker 5: want to appreciate. This was and I'm sure you will
- 1:19Speaker 5: do too. This was, of course a spooky season, so
- 1:21Speaker 5: it's good to revisit the Treehouse of Horror. But this
- 1:23Speaker 5: feels relevant in a lot of ways this episode because,
- 1:26Speaker 5: as he mentioned, we recently covered Simpsons did it on
- 1:29Speaker 5: going down to South Park by all means chined into
- 1:31Speaker 5: that one.
- 1:32Speaker 4: So yes, Genesis tub, it's pretty much what connection there,
- 1:36Speaker 4: That's what South Cartman story is the entire episode pretty much. Yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 4: it's pretty much.
- 1:40Speaker 5: But we also have well, our American friends have an
- 1:44Speaker 5: election coming.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Up in what is it next three weeks? It's November, right, Yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 4: it's sometime in November. Yes, the true spooky season for
- 1:52Speaker 4: America and the rest of the world.
- 1:54Speaker 5: So Citizen Kang is quite relevant in that play. And
- 1:58Speaker 5: of course me being a former can joined twin the
- 2:01Speaker 5: thing and I is always ever green relevant content not true,
- 2:04Speaker 5: not true.
- 2:04Speaker 4: There's only were you the evil one who's then been
- 2:06Speaker 4: realized that it were the evil one?
- 2:08Speaker 5: Or we raised with fish heads? Certainly raised with fish heads.
- 2:13Speaker 5: I am catholic.
- 2:14Speaker 4: I never realized that fishead song that Homo syncs was
- 2:16Speaker 4: a song was actual fish head? Fish is roly poly
- 2:18Speaker 4: fish head?
- 2:19Speaker 5: You realize, yeah, yishads fish heads. They were probably not
- 2:23Speaker 5: the correct lyrics that I just say.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I've seen that song all not all the time. Sometimes
- 2:27Speaker 4: I just be walking by myself and I was going
- 2:28Speaker 4: fish sheds.
- 2:30Speaker 5: Why now, you know?
- 2:32Speaker 4: Because of that song, also because of this Yeah, but yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 4: a good treehouse of horror. This one a gory one
- 2:41Speaker 4: at all, Which is why do I think I sound silly?
- 2:43Speaker 4: Why I didn't really enjoy it as much as a kid.
- 2:45Speaker 4: I didn't really feel like proper horror. I always loved
- 2:48Speaker 4: the thing, and I but Lisa Stories wasn't a fam
- 2:50Speaker 4: when I was a kid and citizen king, I had
- 2:52Speaker 4: no idea what was going on. I don't know who
- 2:54Speaker 4: these presidents, I don't know who may have heard of Clinton,
- 2:56Speaker 4: Bob Dole, Who the hell is bobbed doll Right.
- 2:58Speaker 5: It feels very much of its time now, although I've
- 3:00Speaker 5: got to say I love what they do with Bob Dole.
- 3:04Speaker 5: I just I don't really remember much about him as
- 3:06Speaker 5: a person or a politician.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Simpson's character, but is he real?
- 3:10Speaker 5: He feels like it belongs in Springfield well, they need this.
- 3:15Speaker 5: That's what I loved occasionally refomed was from the third
- 3:19Speaker 5: person because I'm sure that have they used Bob Dole
- 3:21Speaker 5: more than once?
- 3:23Speaker 4: I can't.
- 3:23Speaker 5: I get the feeling he's been in the Simpsons more
- 3:26Speaker 5: than more than this episode.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Bob, do don't need this? What is it some kind
- 3:31Speaker 4: of tube?
- 3:35Speaker 5: Let's have a look. It's just comment It sounds like
- 3:36Speaker 5: a Harry Sheer, I reckon, it's just commentating his own life.
- 3:38Speaker 5: What is this?
- 3:39Speaker 4: What is this? I'm going to do? All right, Bob Doll.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Simpsons turns out to get Bob Doll. He was voiced
- 3:47Speaker 4: by Harry Sheer. He's got that news report a deep
- 3:52Speaker 4: kind of voice. Get the feeling. Bob Dole at some
- 3:54Speaker 4: stage did ads for like ed medicine, like a rect
- 3:58Speaker 4: doll dysfunction medicine.
- 4:03Speaker 5: Bub don't need this, bu do need this?
- 4:07Speaker 4: But this he do need?
- 4:08Speaker 5: But yeah, I just a good combination of stars and elements,
- 4:13Speaker 5: And you're right not Sometimes a tree House of Horror
- 4:15Speaker 5: episode can act as a bit of a gateway.
- 4:17Speaker 4: To actual horror, to actual horror stories.
- 4:21Speaker 5: I mean, not just the genre, but oh, like you've
- 4:24Speaker 5: always said, like you're sure the shinning before you saw
- 4:26Speaker 5: the Shining.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Still referred to as the shitting by many people. Of course,
- 4:29Speaker 4: many people.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Are saying this, so yeah, a very pleasurable tree House
- 4:33Speaker 5: of Horor episode.
- 4:33Speaker 4: This one. Well, we've mentioned at the start, you mentioned that,
- 4:36Speaker 4: you know, I set up the story from the go
- 4:38Speaker 4: why we're doing this episode right at the very beginning.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I thought every segment just got into the story without
- 4:42Speaker 4: wasting any time. That's true, That's true. I mean I
- 4:45Speaker 4: think I was particularly thinking that with the thing and yeah,
- 4:48Speaker 4: it's just like straight into a horror film, not gory horror,
- 4:50Speaker 4: but just spooky, Yeah, which I really appreciate. Would you go,
- 4:53Speaker 4: like a monster, what kind of horror? Would you call this?
- 4:56Speaker 5: More thriller?
- 4:57Speaker 4: I guess so, yeah. I mean they.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Our friends Wikipedia will say this is not in all
- 5:05Speaker 5: related to the movie basket Case.
- 5:07Speaker 4: One of those covers that I always talked about, the
- 5:09Speaker 4: covers at the video store and like, that looks like
- 5:11Speaker 4: something I want to watch one that's a that's a
- 5:13Speaker 4: real eighties video. Nasty had like three or four of
- 5:17Speaker 4: it they did.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah, and it sweet because it was clearly made for
- 5:21Speaker 5: like the change that you found at the back of
- 5:22Speaker 5: your couch. Yeah, but it's got real low budget, let's
- 5:27Speaker 5: put on a show energy, a bit of fun. Yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 5: except it's fun. But yeah, except when it isn't. Because
- 5:33Speaker 5: that's the thing. I saw this when I was a kid,
- 5:35Speaker 5: like my teen Yes, and there's aspects I was like, oh,
- 5:39Speaker 5: this is grossing your Oh what is it? Is ridiculous?
- 5:41Speaker 5: What a ridiculous monster? And then there's a bit of
- 5:44Speaker 5: the ms like oh fuck, let's I'm not going to
- 5:48Speaker 5: blow for anyone.
- 5:49Speaker 3: No.
- 5:49Speaker 5: No, But at the same time, right at your own
- 5:52Speaker 5: risks when you watch Basketcase, just saying but yeah, wikipedia
- 5:57Speaker 5: as guys from The Simpsons saying no. Not related to Basketcase,
- 6:01Speaker 5: not inspired, but something it reminded me of was an
- 6:05Speaker 5: early film by the great Brian Departmer Major of the
- 6:07Speaker 5: Untouchables and a bunch of other stuff called Sisters, which
- 6:11Speaker 5: has Margaret Kidder aka Lewis Lane from the Supman movies.
- 6:14Speaker 5: This is not really a spoiler, but she's playing Siamese
- 6:17Speaker 5: aka you can join twins. Good line by the way,
- 6:20Speaker 5: we'll get to that. And yeah, there's a mystery involving
- 6:26Speaker 5: a woman who may have a sister who may have
- 6:28Speaker 5: been conjoined at some stage. It's very Brian Depalmer being
- 6:32Speaker 5: me out for a Hitcock two, So it's definitely worth
- 6:35Speaker 5: checking out. It's a really good movie, and that reminded
- 6:37Speaker 5: me of that a little bit in some ways.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, but the Thing I've always been one of
- 6:40Speaker 4: my favorites, even since I was a kid. I've always
- 6:42Speaker 4: loved The Thing and I because it just feels so
- 6:44Speaker 4: it's a simple horror story, but it's so spooky at
- 6:46Speaker 4: times as well. It really is.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, I mean I love the idea of
- 6:50Speaker 5: an attic, but at the same time, I had an
- 6:51Speaker 5: addict always scary.
- 6:52Speaker 4: I would never go into it. I have to go
- 6:54Speaker 4: into the roof sometimes it what's it called in Australia
- 6:56Speaker 4: we don't have a roof. Is the roof?
- 6:57Speaker 5: Yeah, we go into the roof.
- 6:58Speaker 4: I'm going under the roof. When you got boxes for
- 7:00Speaker 4: things that you want to keep the box and we
- 7:02Speaker 4: just chuck them in the roof.
- 7:03Speaker 6: Right.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I got so much shit in the roo point everytime
- 7:04Speaker 4: I got there, I'm like, it's going to be something
- 7:06Speaker 4: up here.
- 7:07Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, even if it's not your evil can
- 7:10Speaker 5: join twin living on fish heads.
- 7:11Speaker 4: It's probably a spider. Yeah, I want one one time.
- 7:14Speaker 4: I got so scared, and it sounds ridiculous. I was
- 7:17Speaker 4: up there all of a sudden I heard. I was like,
- 7:20Speaker 4: get me out of here, and I started and that
- 7:23Speaker 4: was like, well, I just put the air conditioning on.
- 7:24Speaker 4: I was like, oh sweetness. But it was just felt
- 7:29Speaker 4: like I was getting closer to me. I thought it
- 7:32Speaker 4: was like a ratted, giant rat coming towards me.
- 7:35Speaker 5: In my old family house we had I guess he'd
- 7:37Speaker 5: call it a basement.
- 7:38Speaker 4: It wasn't really that big of a room.
- 7:40Speaker 5: It was fairly small and on longesty and we stored
- 7:43Speaker 5: a little bit of stuff down there. But and of course,
- 7:45Speaker 5: you know, I was in my late teams like they're
- 7:47Speaker 5: not scared of anything. I was scared of everything. And
- 7:50Speaker 5: Zych puppets.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Yeah, in that room of weired me out a little bit.
- 7:55Speaker 4: And it wasn't until years later that.
- 7:58Speaker 5: My good friend Sabby Steve imported a copy of the
- 8:01Speaker 5: Blair Witch Project on DVD before it had been released
- 8:04Speaker 5: in Australia. It's like, what a concept, we can chat,
- 8:08Speaker 5: what a time to be a live and went over
- 8:11Speaker 5: and watched it late one night. It was a yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 5: dark stormy night and we're watching Blue Witch Project and
- 8:15Speaker 5: they got to the very end. Sorry spoilers for the
- 8:18Speaker 5: Blue Witch Project, you know, how to ends in the
- 8:19Speaker 5: basement and it was a lot like the basement we had,
- 8:23Speaker 5: and that it wasn't you know, like a cool basement.
- 8:26Speaker 5: It was like it was like yeah, yeah, it actually
- 8:30Speaker 5: had like a dirt floor or just a dirty floor.
- 8:32Speaker 5: It was like, Bobby, it's never cleaned.
- 8:35Speaker 4: There's too much of this place like that. We're not
- 8:37Speaker 4: going down there. But yeah, I remember, yeah, watching the
- 8:40Speaker 4: Blue Witch projecta, oh, that's what was down there. That's
- 8:43Speaker 4: what was there.
- 8:45Speaker 5: So yeah, but I love the idea. I love the
- 8:48Speaker 5: idea of an attic more of it, or of a
- 8:50Speaker 5: good basements. Like you know, when you get old enough
- 8:53Speaker 5: to say this is my this is my room, now
- 8:55Speaker 5: this this is my space.
- 8:57Speaker 4: If they've played up in Home Alone where you're like yes, yes,
- 8:59Speaker 4: to sleep in the that's right. Yeah yeah, So I
- 9:01Speaker 4: think the basement has the is it the oven or whatever,
- 9:04Speaker 4: and he's like terrified of it and Home Alone, yeah,
- 9:06Speaker 4: and it's like it's weird when you're a kid you
- 9:09Speaker 4: see these devices. They're a machine or they're the fireplace,
- 9:12Speaker 4: but they're alive in your mind. Absolutely. Yeah.
- 9:15Speaker 5: But also just love the idea of having that trap door,
- 9:18Speaker 5: not even trapped door, but the door you pull down
- 9:19Speaker 5: with the ladder that comes down. It's like this seems like,
- 9:22Speaker 5: you know, at least five people a year would die
- 9:25Speaker 5: from this just by getting hit the head it readily.
- 9:29Speaker 4: But at the same time.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Wow, what a very practical idea, haven't you, Hado.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I have to get the old school like proper ladder,
- 9:35Speaker 4: bring it in the house. Yes, that's lift the roof
- 9:37Speaker 4: thing off the little what have you got? The trap
- 9:40Speaker 4: whole thing like manhole. I've got door door, but it's
- 9:43Speaker 4: not a door that I've got pushed up fifty kevin
- 9:45Speaker 4: doesn't fall back and bunk you on the head.
- 9:47Speaker 5: Anyone who knows if this actually a real name, that'd
- 9:50Speaker 5: be weird. Appreciate it the whole, you know, as you know,
- 9:52Speaker 5: Dan or I not handy. Yeah, the door that gets
- 9:54Speaker 5: to the roof, Yes, the door of the roof. We're
- 9:57Speaker 5: talking about the thing and I loight, I think that
- 9:59Speaker 5: it both of us. I think it might be the
- 10:01Speaker 5: best one. I think the one we remembered. Yeah, a
- 10:02Speaker 5: lot of people say Citizen Kane is the best one.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Now go if you're an American maybe, yeah, I mean,
- 10:08Speaker 5: but I think it's David X. Cohen said that he
- 10:10Speaker 5: thinks that that one seriously dated the segment because it
- 10:14Speaker 5: was such a time and place. However, I will say
- 10:16Speaker 5: that is written so well that as a kid, I
- 10:20Speaker 5: didn't know who Clinton and Dole were, so I didn't
- 10:22Speaker 5: get that aspect, But it was still funny.
- 10:24Speaker 4: It's still a good political story regardless of the.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Actual naming of names of Clinton and Doll.
- 10:29Speaker 4: So just it's just it's just a piss take of
- 10:30Speaker 4: politics in general.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Yeah, And you've got a lot of people saying that
- 10:33Speaker 5: what is it abortions with some miniature flags rather is
- 10:36Speaker 5: like one of the best lines and Simpsons history, I'll
- 10:38Speaker 5: tell you what not that segment, but there's one of
- 10:41Speaker 5: the for mine, one of the best line readings in
- 10:45Speaker 5: all the Simpsons is in the Thing and.
- 10:47Speaker 4: I can we can we go to that?
- 10:49Speaker 5: Now? Can we tell you?
- 10:50Speaker 4: We want in the Favorite Thing? That's just a favorite.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Moments, my favorite.
- 10:55Speaker 4: All right, what's your favorite moment?
- 10:56Speaker 5: I honestly, this is one of the best low key
- 10:59Speaker 5: line deliveries. Senseence history is where Hibbitt's going. A random
- 11:03Speaker 5: source smear conferred the existence of pure evil I never.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Heard that line before and I was I was like,
- 11:08Speaker 4: that is fucking unbelievable. It's just delivered so oft.
- 11:12Speaker 5: That's what's so great about great. You don't realize it's
- 11:14Speaker 5: a joke.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Non you realize did he say what I think he
- 11:17Speaker 4: said and the way he said it?
- 11:19Speaker 5: I thought, Yeah, that's just an absolute winner for my Yeah. Him,
- 11:23Speaker 5: it's a real m v P in this.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean not just by virtue his behavior, but
- 11:27Speaker 4: virtue everything he does. In his episode Crazy for Boys Town,
- 11:33Speaker 4: the boy was an outcast.
- 11:37Speaker 5: I bet you've net even looked at it for in
- 11:38Speaker 5: the Mirror.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Yeah, one of the most iconic memes now. But I
- 11:46Speaker 4: posted on the page reason there's a guy I think
- 11:47Speaker 4: he might be in Spain, but he makes custom Simpsons
- 11:50Speaker 4: things and you can hang that on your walls frame
- 11:53Speaker 4: but it's three D so his fist is coming out
- 11:55Speaker 4: through so good. Yeah, check it out in the page.
- 11:58Speaker 4: I'll posted on the on the fourth Facebook. But we
- 12:00Speaker 4: haven't talked about the genesis, so that's basically Okay, that's
- 12:02Speaker 4: the reason why we picked this one because we just
- 12:04Speaker 4: did Simpsons did it for going down to South part
- 12:06Speaker 4: and I enjoyed this one. But it's definitely as an
- 12:10Speaker 4: adult now probably my second favorite of it's probably my last.
- 12:15Speaker 5: It's not my least favorite in the in this episode, yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 5: it's second in the thing.
- 12:19Speaker 4: But yeah, I think I enjoy Citizen Kang second now
- 12:21Speaker 4: obviously thinking nice my favorite this one here, it's great,
- 12:25Speaker 4: it's not. Yeah, it's nothing wrong with it. And we
- 12:27Speaker 4: haven't touched on the favorite moment from One of my
- 12:29Speaker 4: favorite moments from this is something I say all the time.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I love this line. It's just the reading of it.
- 12:34Speaker 5: I don't know where why am i soul?
- 12:36Speaker 4: Fact?
- 12:36Speaker 5: Yeah, Lias has created this? Yeah, I was about to
- 12:45Speaker 5: say environment, kingdom, whatever, world, Yeah, out of nothing. Basically
- 12:50Speaker 5: just the bums from the Springfield who are geting together
- 12:52Speaker 5: in any public meaning.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Where where, what's going on?
- 12:56Speaker 5: It's just why am I so fat?
- 12:59Speaker 2: I love?
- 13:00Speaker 5: I've always loved that so much?
- 13:02Speaker 4: But other favorite moments so for me, I don't know
- 13:05Speaker 4: why this ticking me so much. But and communication and
- 13:10Speaker 4: the Bart being made I've always loved you get made
- 13:12Speaker 4: to stay home to techn hockey game. The whole reason
- 13:14Speaker 4: is to keep Bart safe, but you stay home by yourself.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Think.
- 13:18Speaker 4: It was one of my trivia questions I didn't have
- 13:21Speaker 4: that many either. That's all right, but dog, the dog
- 13:23Speaker 4: is barking, I directed it might be someone delivering a parcel.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Maybe I got a parcel quick, look you tell me
- 13:29Speaker 4: about that in the one second's very much on guard today.
- 13:33Speaker 4: When I when I rocked.
- 13:34Speaker 5: Up, the record of this room like, oh wow, fearsome.
- 13:37Speaker 4: Except when I went skidding, he was just like wade
- 13:39Speaker 4: his tails, this guy, there's no treats. So you got
- 13:48Speaker 4: a parcel today? Well there was no parcel there by
- 13:50Speaker 4: the way, he was barking. Somebody walking by Okay, no, no,
- 13:53Speaker 4: just what was it? A review copy of Stanley Tucci's
- 13:58Speaker 4: new book. Stanley Tucci wonderful actor. Everybody loves him. He's
- 14:01Speaker 4: sort of got a new career. As you know.
- 14:04Speaker 5: I'm off to Italy to show you what people like
- 14:05Speaker 5: to eat. Okay, Stanley will pay for that.
- 14:08Speaker 4: I love that you've just cheated the game and just
- 14:10Speaker 4: getting still get review copies of books. Well, no, no, no,
- 14:14Speaker 4: there's going to be reviews of these books. Yeah.
- 14:18Speaker 5: I think I mentioned it the other day on a
- 14:21Speaker 5: show that we're eventually going to a premiere eventually. But
- 14:25Speaker 5: it was like this book is coming out by I
- 14:26Speaker 5: mean he's checking out, and yes, we'll do the same
- 14:28Speaker 5: with this one eventually. But yeah, Stanley Tucci now writes
- 14:30Speaker 5: books about I like food. Here's some Food eight this year,
- 14:34Speaker 5: and he's actually pretty good writer, So yeah, not bad.
- 14:37Speaker 4: But it was also not.
- 14:38Speaker 5: To give a shout out to our our other overlord,
- 14:43Speaker 5: not King and Kodos, but actually Amazon and Bezos. But
- 14:46Speaker 5: it was Prime Day or Prime Week class, so you're
- 14:48Speaker 5: saying going wild on the sales, and it's like, I couldn't.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Find anything that I wanted. I've found a lot of
- 14:53Speaker 4: stuff that I wanted.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and but also stuff it's like, Okay, I'll
- 14:59Speaker 5: leave this in the thing over and yeah, I'll come
- 15:00Speaker 5: back tomorrow. And if it's if I still feel like
- 15:03Speaker 5: I want to, and then.
- 15:03Speaker 4: The price has just gone Sometimes I put it like
- 15:05Speaker 4: a doll and you're like, oh, should supped me? Go up?
- 15:07Speaker 4: I have to buy now? Oh yeah, or it goes up. Yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 4: that's once the price goes right up, you go, oh,
- 15:12Speaker 4: I should have should have.
- 15:13Speaker 5: Done it, so, which led me to buy something else.
- 15:15Speaker 4: But it's all genius marketing by them, it really is.
- 15:18Speaker 4: They really they hook you system, They've gained us. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:23Speaker 4: did you use my hack about getting after paid passes?
- 15:25Speaker 4: I certainly did.
- 15:27Speaker 5: So that's that's not going to end badly at all,
- 15:32Speaker 5: because yeah, there was initial stuff that was like, oh, okay, yes,
- 15:36Speaker 5: I'll get this all that. Yeah that's Mark Dan, get that,
- 15:38Speaker 5: get that, get that. I had, like a pair of jeans,
- 15:40Speaker 5: put a sign. There was a US brand that I
- 15:42Speaker 5: really enjoy. I've got a pair of I was like, oh,
- 15:44Speaker 5: you're getting saved for later. Yeah, I'm not buying now, Like, wow,
- 15:48Speaker 5: that's Mark Dan.
- 15:49Speaker 4: That's man, that's pretty expense. Okay, look, do I need
- 15:52Speaker 4: more jeans. I've gone.
- 15:53Speaker 5: I've gone all the pants I need. Coming the next day,
- 15:55Speaker 5: it's gone up by one hundred bucks.
- 15:57Speaker 4: I should have brought them jeans.
- 15:58Speaker 5: My my thing is now I buy I go. What
- 16:00Speaker 5: will Nikola say? Well, I found out what Looks said,
- 16:05Speaker 5: because the other thing was like initially it's like, oh,
- 16:09Speaker 5: time to stuck up on Blu.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Rays or stuck up on books or whatever. Haven't you
- 16:13Speaker 4: already got a thousand of them? Yeah, that's the thing.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I've got so many I don't need anymore. I have
- 16:18Speaker 4: no space left for my Blue Rays. They're literally stacked
- 16:20Speaker 4: up on the floor in front of the shelf. Now,
- 16:21Speaker 4: oh yeah, I.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Need that thing where I'm like actually putting things away. Yeah,
- 16:26Speaker 5: like a human. But I said to Lou, like, ooh uh,
- 16:32Speaker 5: it used to be cultural stuff. Now dice and vacuum
- 16:35Speaker 5: plan a half price.
- 16:37Speaker 4: I saw the robovacuum and it was half priced, and
- 16:39Speaker 4: it was five hund dollars. Still at half price and
- 16:41Speaker 4: usually a thousand. I thought they probably just marked it
- 16:43Speaker 4: up like a fake RP to make it seem like
- 16:45Speaker 4: a half price.
- 16:45Speaker 5: I go and Google.
- 16:46Speaker 4: I was like, oh, usual rps a thousand dollars. Nicola,
- 16:49Speaker 4: you said you wanted a robo vacuum, she goes, not
- 16:50Speaker 4: a five hundred dollar one. I don't.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Well, I said to Lor was like, should I get
- 16:55Speaker 5: the dice and at half price? And I said, I
- 16:57Speaker 5: don't think the km out equivalent that I bought is cutting.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Dyson's vacuum clean is one of the things worth investing in.
- 17:02Speaker 4: A good vacuum cleaner, Yes, a good bed, good pillows.
- 17:06Speaker 4: They think like, you can't go wrong with a good
- 17:09Speaker 4: crumpy old man good couch as well, except I'm sending
- 17:12Speaker 4: the catch back. Oh no, yep, but you hadn't the
- 17:14Speaker 4: guy come over and adjust it. Yeah, you know it's
- 17:16Speaker 4: not the Moto this time the Infinity what's it called
- 17:20Speaker 4: the zero gravity zero gravity, not infinity zero gravity. So
- 17:24Speaker 4: it basically feels like you're floating. It's fucked on my
- 17:26Speaker 4: side of the couch. So I get a saw back
- 17:30Speaker 4: sitting on my on the couch, which I paid extra
- 17:33Speaker 4: money for to ensure I don't get a saw back.
- 17:35Speaker 4: So I took a video of it and photos.
- 17:37Speaker 5: It's the photo you ow my back.
- 17:41Speaker 4: No, I just basically just showed the comparisons. Sent it
- 17:44Speaker 4: through to Harvey Norman last night and I was like,
- 17:46Speaker 4: I want this fixture immediately. Yeah. I think I'm just
- 17:49Speaker 4: going to get a new couch. I'm like, don't send
- 17:51Speaker 4: your bite out because you may didn't fix it.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah, you may didn't fix it last night. I don't
- 17:54Speaker 5: trust him this. I've had this.
- 17:55Speaker 4: Coucht I've had this catch for less than three months.
- 17:57Speaker 4: It shouldn't be broken. I want zero gravity. Yeah. I
- 18:01Speaker 4: was like, I couldn't get come to us and Nicholas,
- 18:02Speaker 4: something's not right. And then we looked at the side.
- 18:04Speaker 4: She goes your side sinking to the left, and it's
- 18:07Speaker 4: not like puffy on the foot rest anymore. We're not
- 18:09Speaker 4: as close as we used to be.
- 18:11Speaker 5: It's just weird. Yeah, so happy with the couch. Looking
- 18:14Speaker 5: around at this. You know, those of you watching on
- 18:16Speaker 5: YouTube will look around. There's plenty of pop culture stuff here.
- 18:19Speaker 5: And yes, both Dan and I like to buy cultural stuff.
- 18:22Speaker 4: I used to.
- 18:24Speaker 5: It was like couches, pillows, vacuum clean.
- 18:27Speaker 4: Yeah, we got a dice in. Yeah, you can't go
- 18:30Speaker 4: wrong with it.
- 18:30Speaker 5: Yeah, Lou's got one, and I'm like, I was occasionally like,
- 18:33Speaker 5: can I.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Borrow the dash? Remember when we said vacuum cleaners with
- 18:36Speaker 4: a corpus put into the wall and he said, like,
- 18:39Speaker 4: what was?
- 18:40Speaker 5: What the on going on?
- 18:43Speaker 4: My mum had one of those resail was like mom
- 18:45Speaker 4: by dice. He goes, no, you don't need to want, Mum,
- 18:48Speaker 4: the love.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Of God, I'll buy you one. You'll notice the show
- 18:51Speaker 5: is pivoted from Simpson's contenter to consumer role.
- 18:54Speaker 4: We're talking about old things, so let's return. But why
- 18:58Speaker 4: are we so fat? Any other favorite moments I did like.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Julie Kapla's line reading, I'm very disappointed and terrified and terrified.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Yes, would you say it's hide for trivia trivia?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Next question?
- 19:13Speaker 4: You there eating the paste.
- 19:14Speaker 1: All right.
- 19:14Speaker 4: My first question for you is what did Marge promise
- 19:18Speaker 4: for breakfast to Lisa in the Genesis tub Well, she
- 19:21Speaker 4: promised waffle, Yes, but just square pancakes, which I don't
- 19:24Speaker 4: think is a bad compromise. I mean, I guess if
- 19:26Speaker 4: you're in the mood for waffle, he's be like pancake.
- 19:28Speaker 4: We've talked about waffles recently, but I would much prefer
- 19:30Speaker 4: pancakes if it's a good pancake.
- 19:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not even necessarily a waffle guy.
- 19:35Speaker 4: You gotta be right in the mood as we're saying. Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:38Speaker 4: So first question, fried chicken and fried chicken and tries
- 19:40Speaker 4: that in the States. Yeah, not bad, not necessarily something.
- 19:44Speaker 4: I'd go back to chicken and biscuit.
- 19:48Speaker 5: I've done that thing where I've written the written answer.
- 19:52Speaker 4: What is the answer?
- 19:53Speaker 5: It's from the thing and I the answer is Switzerland.
- 19:55Speaker 4: I'm going to play my Gloria from White Men Can't Jump.
- 19:57Speaker 4: All right, So Switzerland. Yeah, so we think we just
- 20:01Speaker 4: saw Hugo. He was bodying a plan to Switzerland. What
- 20:05Speaker 4: so the question is what where did Homer think Hugo
- 20:10Speaker 4: was bought in the planet troop?
- 20:12Speaker 5: Well, you didn't you had thoughts about about white men
- 20:16Speaker 5: count job.
- 20:16Speaker 4: I can't remember what podcast I was talking about. I'm
- 20:19Speaker 4: pretty sure I was forking a discount, but talking about
- 20:20Speaker 4: how halfway through white men can jump. And I just
- 20:22Speaker 4: finished it on the weekend. I'm going to say, to
- 20:25Speaker 4: quote Guy Davis, it felt like just a bunch of
- 20:28Speaker 4: stuff happening just I got to the end of it.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Wait a minute, So the Big Grand Finale is then
- 20:35Speaker 4: playing for a two thousand dollars prize in just a
- 20:37Speaker 4: game of hustle basketball. I'm like, okay, And he was
- 20:40Speaker 4: willing to risk this gorgeous woman for the sake of
- 20:43Speaker 4: two thousand dollars kind of funck up is this guy?
- 20:47Speaker 6: Well?
- 20:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's the thing. It just felt like
- 20:49Speaker 4: such a unnecessary, like what are you doing kind of thing?
- 20:53Speaker 4: You know. He's like, well, it was heither, you've got
- 20:55Speaker 4: a gamble at two thousand dollars, you're gonna lose me.
- 20:57Speaker 4: And he's like, mong and gambled two thousand dollars, Like
- 20:59Speaker 4: so you got two dollars extra in your pocket. So
- 21:03Speaker 4: he's a And it was like ten minutes of like
- 21:06Speaker 4: slow mode. He's big and who gives this shit, it's
- 21:09Speaker 4: for two thousand dollars. The dog is a big there's
- 21:11Speaker 4: no there's nothing up for offer here. It just felt
- 21:14Speaker 4: like such a grand, over the top, ridiculous shot ending
- 21:18Speaker 4: for something that's not worth all that much.
- 21:20Speaker 5: I think that's not to say that's the joke, but
- 21:23Speaker 5: I think it's kind of the point is that it's
- 21:27Speaker 5: it's ending where you think most films their second act
- 21:32Speaker 5: would end. It's like, oh, now he's he's got to
- 21:34Speaker 5: get her back in the third act and learn something
- 21:36Speaker 5: about itself. Like we're not getting we're not going to
- 21:38Speaker 5: get him. We're not going to see him learning about himself,
- 21:42Speaker 5: and he's not going to get her back. Or maybe
- 21:43Speaker 5: he's somewhere down the line but he's realized that he's like, oh,
- 21:47Speaker 5: I'm a fuck up and I've been doing this stuff
- 21:49Speaker 5: and I really need to get on the straight and narrow.
- 21:52Speaker 5: I mean, I think it ends with him asking like
- 21:54Speaker 5: asking Wesley for a job doesn't because I mean, Wesley
- 21:56Speaker 5: stops has actually got a proper job. He's like an
- 21:58Speaker 5: architect or an engineer.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Yeah, And it ends with them just walking off the
- 22:03Speaker 4: basketball court, just like walking off. They go back to
- 22:06Speaker 4: the apartment and She's gone, yeah, and just walking off
- 22:08Speaker 4: making jokes with each other.
- 22:09Speaker 5: Yeah, so he's he's learned something, but in a very
- 22:14Speaker 5: hard way.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Yeah. It's like yeah, it just felt just felt like
- 22:20Speaker 4: what happened? What am I watching here? A lot of
- 22:23Speaker 4: the scenes as we're talking, man, you're saying, that's what
- 22:24Speaker 4: you liked about. It was just the dialogue. It felt
- 22:27Speaker 4: like it wasn't scripted. It was just a bunch of
- 22:29Speaker 4: you'll fuck your man, No, no, fuck you, you're your mother,
- 22:31Speaker 4: you'll be I'm like, can we get to the story? Apparently?
- 22:34Speaker 5: Wesley's answer Woody Alison were friends before this, yeah, or
- 22:38Speaker 5: had they worked together at least one movie before it?
- 22:41Speaker 5: And then when you got this one. I mean I
- 22:43Speaker 5: remember the scene the poster of this back in ninety two,
- 22:45Speaker 5: and I didn't even have that certain, said Wesley. Would
- 22:47Speaker 5: he It's like cool, that seems right? They like I
- 22:52Speaker 5: think people.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Are like, look at I don't know, get me wrong,
- 22:54Speaker 4: but maybe time and place. But I guess maybe if
- 22:56Speaker 4: you were in the right target demo at the time,
- 22:59Speaker 4: you have nostalgia for it. Oh, watched it in twenty
- 23:02Speaker 4: twenty films like I just this, nothing's happening here? That's
- 23:06Speaker 4: captivating me. It's just okay, it's like the same basketball
- 23:08Speaker 4: game three times shown through the film, but there was
- 23:10Speaker 4: nothing different about the end basketball game that was the
- 23:12Speaker 4: previous two.
- 23:13Speaker 5: It was just the same shit.
- 23:15Speaker 4: It must have been.
- 23:16Speaker 5: It's been a long time since I've seen it, but
- 23:18Speaker 5: I think it might be one of those movies as.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Well where it starts off so great.
- 23:23Speaker 5: It does so energetic yet and so vibrantly that that's
- 23:25Speaker 5: what you remember and that sort of trickles over to
- 23:27Speaker 5: your europe. It felt like.
- 23:29Speaker 4: The recollection of the Reason didn't have an end. It
- 23:30Speaker 4: didn't have an ending inside. It just felt like I'm
- 23:32Speaker 4: like because I watched the first half and I was like,
- 23:33Speaker 4: I'm up forward whatever they're going to throw at me,
- 23:36Speaker 4: and then there's nothing was thrown at me. It's just
- 23:37Speaker 4: the same. The first half felt like the last half. Yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 4: I do recall the ending.
- 23:41Speaker 5: I remember feeling kind of wrong footed, but also like
- 23:45Speaker 5: I kind of appreciate it and that The guy who
- 23:47Speaker 5: made is the guy named Ron Shelton. He made one
- 23:49Speaker 5: of the great baseball movies called Bull Durham with Kevin
- 23:51Speaker 5: Costner and Susan Sarandon, and I think something he traffics
- 23:56Speaker 5: in is men who were kind of falling solves, who
- 24:00Speaker 5: think they know all the angles and are kind of
- 24:02Speaker 5: fuck ups and who learn lessons but very very slowly
- 24:05Speaker 5: and sometimes not at all. So I think white Man
- 24:08Speaker 5: count Jumps is in that realm as well. I think
- 24:12Speaker 5: I enjoyed it more than you. But I'm I'm going
- 24:14Speaker 5: to go back and revisit it now.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Maybe I won't. So I'm we were doing.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Trivia, yes, yeah, you know, I gave you my FAXT
- 24:22Speaker 5: question is, yeah, it's campaign What America flips a coin? Oh,
- 24:27Speaker 5: nineteen ninety six?
- 24:31Speaker 4: Uh?
- 24:32Speaker 5: In the Genesis tub Bill Watson lives where?
- 24:36Speaker 4: Ah that's a s right? No, No, Bill Watson something place,
- 24:43Speaker 4: isn't it. It's a building Clark building, Yes, yes, I
- 24:46Speaker 4: was like Stark Stark was one of my Ah, Clark Stark.
- 24:50Speaker 5: It's a different superhero. It's not Tony Stark, it's Clark Kent.
- 24:52Speaker 4: It's Clark Kent.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Yes. And my final question is which of the aliens
- 24:57Speaker 5: is Bob.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Doh codosk okay ah.
- 25:02Speaker 5: After coin and got it wrong? David slips the coin.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Plus I know progressive and the Cotas was his sister. Yeah,
- 25:10Speaker 5: I didn't know that I didn't remember that.
- 25:13Speaker 4: I think they may have said that in the It
- 25:15Speaker 4: feels like it's a reveal here, it doesn't it and
- 25:18Speaker 4: it's my sister, but I feel like they may have
- 25:21Speaker 4: revealed it in the first Chairs of Horror when they
- 25:23Speaker 4: get abducted. Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 5: One thing I love about well about this episode being
- 25:28Speaker 5: a middle aged man who came mage in a different time.
- 25:32Speaker 5: I love how, you know, because I actually started writing down,
- 25:35Speaker 5: you know when when Doctor Hibbitt says in the thing
- 25:37Speaker 5: and I was like, oh, here's a Siamese twin, and
- 25:40Speaker 5: I was about to write right down. I think they
- 25:42Speaker 5: I think the meaning is. I think the saying is conjoined.
- 25:45Speaker 5: And then Lisa, no, Lisa maybe doing, but him saying
- 25:49Speaker 5: after that, well, yeah, and confederates lad to be called something.
- 25:53Speaker 5: He'll yeah, and he'll he's liked to be called sons
- 25:55Speaker 5: of soul.
- 25:55Speaker 4: That ain't happening.

- 27:01Speaker 5: a proto Jason Blum, kind of guy from Blumhouse and
- 27:04Speaker 5: that he'd come up with gimmicks and all this kind
- 27:06Speaker 5: of stuff. She put a picture of him up and

- 28:10Speaker 5: Thanks for heap guys really appreciate it. So the original edit.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Of Trios of Horror seven was October twenty seventh, nineteen
- 28:16Speaker 4: ninety sixty. First ever Trios of Horror episode to be
- 28:19Speaker 4: a season premiere. Okay, then yes, they're usually premiere now
- 28:22Speaker 4: in like September time, so usually the Tresa fows episode
- 28:25Speaker 4: four or five. But I just think kicking off with
- 28:27Speaker 4: the Treos of Horror with a bang, I think so. Yeah.
- 28:30Speaker 4: So it was directed by Mike b Anderson and written
- 28:33Speaker 4: by so the thing and I'd written by Ken Keeler,
- 28:35Speaker 4: The Genesis Tubet Dan Greeney and Citizen Kane David X.
- 28:38Speaker 4: Cohen And oh I didn't realize this until this very moment.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Bill Clinton was played by Phil Hartman.
- 28:44Speaker 5: I did see his name in the credits and was
- 28:48Speaker 5: wondering what he because I thought I heard him in
- 28:50Speaker 5: something else or that. Oh that sounds why am I
- 28:53Speaker 5: all fat? All right?
- 28:56Speaker 4: So the first thing we see here but the credits
- 28:58Speaker 4: is Homer dislikes the jackal and gets catched on fire.
- 29:01Speaker 4: And that's it. We're gett into the episode. It's got death.
- 29:03Speaker 4: I believe it's death. The skeleton on the couch and
- 29:06Speaker 4: everyone dies. Every feet so the thing and I so
- 29:09Speaker 4: button Lisa, they over here noises in the attic. Which, yeah,
- 29:13Speaker 4: I've had moments like this where I'll be watching something
- 29:15Speaker 4: on TV that's mildly spooky, right, and all of a sudden,
- 29:19Speaker 4: he's like a bang outside, and I'll just walk over
- 29:22Speaker 4: and pull the.
- 29:23Speaker 5: Blind down and make sure they're locked.
- 29:26Speaker 4: You remember, you look at side and you see like
- 29:27Speaker 4: a weird shadow. You go, I know that's just the
- 29:30Speaker 4: tree shadow, but I'm just gonna pull that fine down.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Didn't have that.
- 29:34Speaker 5: But the other night woke up at like three in
- 29:37Speaker 5: the morning and hearing this. But I'm bum bum bum,
- 29:41Speaker 5: and it's like it's the possum back. It could be
- 29:43Speaker 5: a possum. Basically, the cat could just be woken up
- 29:47Speaker 5: and be running around knocking it over like a dickhead.
- 29:49Speaker 5: But you know, you get those three an thoughts, like, Okay,
- 29:53Speaker 5: is this this is a home invasion? Someone break into
- 29:55Speaker 5: my house. I'm i gonna have to get the dusty
- 29:57Speaker 5: or baseball bat from the side.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Of the bed.
- 29:58Speaker 5: That's the name of your bat. I think I called
- 30:01Speaker 5: it the manager at some stateger got a problem, talk
- 30:04Speaker 5: to the manager. Do I have it in me to
- 30:11Speaker 5: get it and pick up the bat and you know,
- 30:12Speaker 5: sort of put on get out of my house kind
- 30:14Speaker 5: of boys. Or I've got a fu my motherfucking house.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I've already killed the cops. Or I've got triple I've
- 30:22Speaker 4: just got to press you know, I've got to press
- 30:24Speaker 4: send is the thing to do, like call trivial o
- 30:27Speaker 4: then put it on the out speaking to leave them
- 30:28Speaker 4: on the line. I think it might be the case.
- 30:29Speaker 5: Yeah, that's a good tip from your panels get broken
- 30:32Speaker 5: into but kids are kicking.
- 30:33Speaker 4: The garage door.
- 30:35Speaker 5: But like it's three in the morning, it's a week night.
- 30:39Speaker 5: I don't think anyone is invading my house now. And
- 30:42Speaker 5: I mean I was not literally paralyzed with here, but
- 30:44Speaker 5: I was like.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Oh, I'm scared. I'm scared. Racing a little bit. Run
- 30:49Speaker 4: the numbers. Okay, what are the odds? What are the
- 30:52Speaker 4: odds that someone's breaking into your house? At three am
- 30:54Speaker 4: on a Tuesday morning?
- 30:55Speaker 5: There was three people breaking into the house.
- 30:58Speaker 4: And I literally felt the physically felt the fear, just
- 31:03Speaker 4: washing it common sense. Yeah, yeah, run the numbers. Yeah,
- 31:07Speaker 4: run the numbers. Kid, Have you run the numbers? Have
- 31:12Speaker 4: you tried turning your fear off? And then on again,
- 31:17Speaker 4: so so Lisa. Here she says the cat's not the
- 31:20Speaker 4: cat in the attic because she's with her. Reminds me
- 31:22Speaker 4: of a kid sister's to dress the cat up. We
- 31:25Speaker 4: had a cat called Queenie, and she was just like
- 31:27Speaker 4: so just passive, you know. And my sister dressed up
- 31:30Speaker 4: and doles out. Yeah, put her in a pram, push
- 31:33Speaker 4: her around. Cat loved it, absolutely loved it. They asked
- 31:36Speaker 4: the parents at the breakfast table the next day, though,
- 31:38Speaker 4: and hers there's nothing seriously ever got just the.
- 31:43Speaker 5: Love goes on just a little bit seriously though, don't
- 31:45Speaker 5: ever go out there.
- 31:46Speaker 4: But Marge reminds them to reminds Homer to feed what's
- 31:50Speaker 4: up there? Fish heads? Fish heads? Do the kids watching
- 31:54Speaker 4: go up there? And they hear the eating sounds and
- 31:56Speaker 4: has been sort of scared by it. But then here's
- 31:59Speaker 4: the sounds. Got a little story here. I recorded this
- 32:02Speaker 4: one was on TV. Except my memory of watching this
- 32:05Speaker 4: episode is that tape I used somewhere in the garage
- 32:08Speaker 4: when I would tape the shows on Channel ten, cut
- 32:10Speaker 4: out the aas blah blah blah. But for some reason,
- 32:12Speaker 4: I don't know why this happened. This very scene here
- 32:16Speaker 4: when bartlaying in bed as he hears the sounds in
- 32:19Speaker 4: the what was called the vent. Yeah, yeah, and you're
- 32:22Speaker 4: looking through the vent at Bart scared. The little M
- 32:25Speaker 4: logo appeared at that point in time, and for years
- 32:28Speaker 4: I thought that was just a joke by the Simpson
- 32:29Speaker 4: saying this is the scary part. And then I watched
- 32:33Speaker 4: I was like, oh, oh, that was Channel ten saying
- 32:36Speaker 4: you should be watching this six. But that whenever I
- 32:40Speaker 4: see that one shot at the vision of the M
- 32:43Speaker 4: appearing in the corner, you're super imposing the mline. Yeah.
- 32:45Speaker 4: But Homer, let's slip here that you know you four kids,
- 32:49Speaker 4: three kids. We have three kids, and you know what
- 32:52Speaker 4: happens to nosy kids who asked him any questions? They
- 32:53Speaker 4: asking a bunch of questions, and the kids use Maggie
- 32:56Speaker 4: to sneak up because their imagination is running wild. Now
- 32:58Speaker 4: Mage helps them pull that app door whatever that thing is,
- 33:01Speaker 4: down to the ladder and they find Homer's unsold copies
- 33:04Speaker 4: of his autobiography What was it cooling? In no one?
- 33:07Speaker 4: I've never been to me something I hardly knew me.
- 33:09Speaker 4: It hard I hardly knew me. Yes, we will there
- 33:12Speaker 4: ever be a rainbow is that, mister, I think that's
- 33:17Speaker 4: and they see a shadow, so this is scared for
- 33:20Speaker 4: a kid, is pretty scary.
- 33:21Speaker 5: This kind of jumps towards them.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Reminds me, you know, Et, obviously you need to inter
- 33:25Speaker 4: when Aliot's waiting outside for him for the first time,
- 33:28Speaker 4: and Et, I know wise Bilbog filmed all like this,
- 33:30Speaker 4: but like Et is walking rathers walking passively towards Ali,
- 33:34Speaker 4: he goes ed, it stops and goes like this kid.
- 33:40Speaker 4: It always reminds me of that. And then they run downstairs.
- 33:44Speaker 4: I love this little reveal here. You think they're in
- 33:46Speaker 4: the vases, breathe in here, and they're in the cupboard.
- 33:49Speaker 4: The margin and Hammer get home from driving in the
- 33:51Speaker 4: rain to give their car the car wash. They're very much,
- 33:55Speaker 4: very disappointed and terrify. They went to the attic, so
- 33:57Speaker 4: Homer goes up there with the golf club and they
- 33:59Speaker 4: realized it's it escaped. It's a really good play on
- 34:02Speaker 4: not revealing that it's just a human, you know. It's
- 34:04Speaker 4: like it's escaped as a kid, you think its a monster.
- 34:07Speaker 5: And then they.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Hear it leave leaves a bit of blood. He cut
- 34:10Speaker 4: himself lit a bit of blood on the door, and
- 34:14Speaker 4: then Madge called up the hibbit.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Yes, doctor, it's what we've always feared.
- 34:18Speaker 4: It's loose.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Hugo is loose?
- 34:21Speaker 3: See us soon, Who or what is Hugo. I'm afraid
- 34:26Speaker 3: we haven't been entirely honest with you.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Bart.
- 34:29Speaker 3: You see you have a brother, So I have two brothers.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Lisa, please, yes, Bert, you have a twin brother. You see,
- 34:37Speaker 2: when you were born there was an irregularity.
- 34:41Speaker 1: A monstrous irregularity. Yes, I remember Bart's birth. Well, you
- 34:48Speaker 1: don't forget a thing like Siamese twins.
- 34:54Speaker 3: I believe they prefer to be called conjoined.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Twins, and Hubilly is preferred to be called sons of
- 34:59Speaker 1: the soil. But it ain't good.
- 35:01Speaker 4: It happened. Then he explains how one of them was
- 35:04Speaker 4: pure evil, but it's little the good butt well by, yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 4: bottle feeding that one and wet the routine. What the
- 35:13Speaker 4: routine saw Smith, the existence are pure evil? How good
- 35:16Speaker 4: is that?
- 35:17Speaker 5: Incredible and incredible routine?
- 35:19Speaker 4: Soul spar and he separates them immediately because he's too
- 35:24Speaker 4: crazy for a boy's town, too much of a boyfood
- 35:25Speaker 4: crazy town. The child was an outcast, so they did
- 35:27Speaker 4: the only human humane thing, change him in the attication
- 35:30Speaker 4: bucket officials once a week save their marriage. And then
- 35:34Speaker 4: Bart reveals the scar here. You're not realizing that you're
- 35:37Speaker 4: just watching this right, and you think they've actually revealed
- 35:40Speaker 4: here that he's the evil You've already seen that the
- 35:42Speaker 4: evil one was on that side, but reveals his scar.
- 35:45Speaker 5: You should have been paying attention.
- 35:46Speaker 4: Kids. Do you think I was blooded by the humor?
- 35:49Speaker 4: Do you think many people wash this and realizing that moment,
- 35:52Speaker 4: I don't reckon because it's not played up, is it? No?
- 35:55Speaker 5: Not at all. They don't telegraph it one bit.
- 35:57Speaker 4: No, So they go to look for him. But what's that?
- 36:00Speaker 4: A place where only sick, twisted misfit would go at this?
- 36:03Speaker 5: Later night?
- 36:04Speaker 4: Radio Shack? What is radio Shack?
- 36:07Speaker 5: I guess our version of strain would be like Dick
- 36:09Speaker 5: Smith Radio. Okay, yeah, let's sell electronics and stuff on
- 36:12Speaker 5: the powerhouse. Yeah that's right, Smith Powerhouse. What a place.
- 36:17Speaker 4: I bought so many TV shows from there, DVD's and CDs.
- 36:20Speaker 5: I think Radio Shack was probably more.
- 36:22Speaker 4: Yeah. Electronic Gear Electronics Retailer, which was established in nineteen
- 36:26Speaker 4: twenty one as an amateur radio mail order business. It's
- 36:29Speaker 4: original parent company, Radio Shack Corporation was purchased by Tandy Electronics.
- 36:34Speaker 4: Oh my god, Tandy. Yeah, we don't have Tandies anymore,
- 36:37Speaker 4: do we?
- 36:38Speaker 5: No, it probably still exists.
- 36:40Speaker 4: I would love to go to a Tandy. Yeah, just
- 36:42Speaker 4: in a very low key handy. Let's look at that
- 36:45Speaker 4: Tandy Electronics Australia. I swear it must be gone. Tandy
- 36:48Speaker 4: Electronics was n a retailers originally operated by the American
- 36:54Speaker 4: Tandy Corporation, later International Tandy. Tandy, what a good word, Tandy,
- 36:58Speaker 4: very very Tandy.
- 37:00Speaker 5: Well, I'm assuming that it was started by mister or
- 37:04Speaker 5: miss Tandy. I can only hope that they cashed out.
- 37:08Speaker 4: And I guess who bought them, the Woolworths group. Wool
- 37:12Speaker 4: Is what are you doing? Come on? The brand exists,
- 37:15Speaker 4: ceased to exist after it was phased out by Woolworths
- 37:17Speaker 4: and twenty eleven so it got up to twenty eleven.
- 37:20Speaker 4: So I made it in the twenty first centry. What
- 37:21Speaker 4: do you think the meaning of Tandy would be if
- 37:23Speaker 4: Tandy was a way to describe somebody, it might it
- 37:25Speaker 4: feels like a bit of a bit Randy, Like, oh she's
- 37:28Speaker 4: a bit Tandy? In't he's a bit Tandy? Tandy and Randy.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Oh you're not that, you bit Tandy.
- 37:36Speaker 5: It's summertime and everyone's feeling a bit tandy.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like touchy and handy together. It's a bit handy.
- 37:40Speaker 4: It's too great taste taste together. That's under where Tandy.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Yeah you did get merchandise of Tandy on it. Nick
- 37:47Speaker 4: feeling a bit Tandy, Yeah, I feeling a bit is
- 37:49Speaker 4: a Bart you take a shower? I think is when
- 37:52Speaker 4: he's it's just a love joy at dinner. He's feeling
- 37:54Speaker 4: a bit randy. Cat.
- 37:57Speaker 5: But but we.
- 37:59Speaker 4: Should do that episode. We should girlfriend. But for now
- 38:01Speaker 4: we're doing the thing.
- 38:02Speaker 5: And I we now return you to Yeah, treehouse apart
- 38:05Speaker 5: Tang Electronics.
- 38:06Speaker 4: What a time to be alive?
- 38:10Speaker 5: Where were we up to?
- 38:10Speaker 4: Though? In the episode Ready radio shack? You still haven't
- 38:14Speaker 4: take the hockey game?
- 38:16Speaker 2: You're here, aren't you?
- 38:19Speaker 4: Yes?
- 38:19Speaker 7: Bart, I never left you.
- 38:23Speaker 4: What do you want from me?
- 38:25Speaker 3: You'll see after the surgery.
- 38:30Speaker 4: You go here and he's got a plate of fish
- 38:32Speaker 4: heads which people eat fish heads, which disgusts me. Yeah,
- 38:36Speaker 4: like they cut it like it's a steak.
- 38:38Speaker 5: You're like, no, no, literally really dry reachsticking about to
- 38:43Speaker 5: quote missus Barolowski.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Just give me a nice fish, filet fish a fish
- 38:48Speaker 4: or filet file it to fish? You say philet or
- 38:52Speaker 4: fill it. I've always said phil it because that's that's
- 38:55Speaker 4: just because what everyone says you. But it's filet a fish, right.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Apparently so has anyone. I've never seen anyone to a
- 39:00Speaker 4: file fish field of fish at any days. I've never
- 39:03Speaker 4: seen anyone eating one. I've never seen one. I've never
- 39:05Speaker 4: seen one in the flesh. I've never seen one. Oh no, no,
- 39:09Speaker 4: I means it's still in the menu. Must be. I
- 39:11Speaker 4: guess it's just a round of fish finger yess't act rectangle,
- 39:19Speaker 4: that's not even let's not even think about it. The
- 39:22Speaker 4: food was an outcast, but you're going to sew them
- 39:25Speaker 4: back together. Everything's going to be all good, he guys, says,
- 39:28Speaker 4: so don't worry. I made a pigeon rat. And then
- 39:30Speaker 4: we get the punch in the framing because he arrives
- 39:32Speaker 4: and stop, you go, stop here, don't do this, and
- 39:35Speaker 4: we get the punch frame bang.
- 39:37Speaker 1: You know, isn't it interesting how the left or sinister
- 39:41Speaker 1: twin is invariably the evil one. I had this theories.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Wait a minute, you go, Scar is on the wrong side.
- 39:51Speaker 1: It couldn't have been the evil left twin. That means
- 39:54Speaker 1: the evil twin is and always has been.
- 39:58Speaker 3: But oh, don't look so shocked.
- 40:04Speaker 5: So is the reveal here that Button knew this whole time?
- 40:07Speaker 5: Because it doesn't. Really, it doesn't doesn't make sense. Well,
- 40:10Speaker 5: if why is he being so sort of scared of.
- 40:14Speaker 4: It doesn't make sense he always knew, But this kind
- 40:16Speaker 4: of revealed kind of gives a vibe that I always knew,
- 40:18Speaker 4: but I was evil. Maybe I didn't know that I
- 40:21Speaker 4: had a he was the evil one who knows? Look
- 40:23Speaker 4: at it both ways. Does this kid's spent his entire
- 40:27Speaker 4: life locked in the attic getting fed fish ets trop
- 40:30Speaker 4: This one up to careless that's in my part cuts
- 40:34Speaker 4: to the family eating a roast youner with dodr Hibbitt
- 40:37Speaker 4: and Hugo, who eats his napkin and but is now
- 40:38Speaker 4: locked in the attic.
- 40:39Speaker 5: You'd like some roast finishing fish fisher, fish ets person.
- 40:42Speaker 5: I put the foot down last night with the kids.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Hollies now realized I'm not hungry, and she sort of
- 40:48Speaker 4: it and she's got away with it a couple of
- 40:50Speaker 4: nights in a row, and I went you know what. No, no, no,
- 40:52Speaker 4: it's tea time. You're not getting anything else. You will
- 40:55Speaker 4: sit at the table. I'm not hungry. I'm like, that's fine,
- 40:57Speaker 4: but you will sit at the table until everybody else
- 40:59Speaker 4: is finished. To Alliot has finished his food. You'll say
- 41:02Speaker 4: that litt but I'm not hungry. I'm like, that's fine.
- 41:03Speaker 4: I'm gonna tell you right now, if it was ten
- 41:05Speaker 4: nk Nuggas sitting right in front of you, smash him
- 41:06Speaker 4: all down. So she just sat there and eventually she.
- 41:09Speaker 5: Ate her food.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Well done, yeah, nick For once it was it was
- 41:13Speaker 4: Nicholas kind of like. I was like, no, no, Nicola,
- 41:16Speaker 4: I've got this. And then she ate her lasagna. It
- 41:19Speaker 4: was lasagna. I'm like, I know you like lasagna. Lasagna
- 41:23Speaker 4: is delicious. No kid should be turning down lasagna. Eat
- 41:25Speaker 4: your damn lazagnia, and she ate the damn lazagna.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Parenting tips from Brendon very good parenting tips as well.
- 41:32Speaker 4: I said to I said, well, if you don't hat
- 41:34Speaker 4: it now, it's what you're getting for breakfast tomorrow. Nicholas
- 41:36Speaker 4: says you can't have Nikola help. You won't be here.
- 41:40Speaker 5: I'm telling you this will be her breakfast, but Nicola
- 41:43Speaker 5: appreciated that whole finger do a little finger wave, but
- 41:50Speaker 5: that went down a tree.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Next episode, Genesis Tub so Lisa has lost her tooth.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Alice lost five teeth as we record this, So I
- 42:01Speaker 4: got holds everywhere, gaps everywhere. The moment I got a gap,
- 42:05Speaker 4: I had had it ripped out.
- 42:06Speaker 5: That's right.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Yeah, Luke was like what Yeah, I said, margis were
- 42:13Speaker 4: do nothing?
- 42:15Speaker 5: These are the options the dentists. Preadsent me, Well, there's
- 42:16Speaker 5: not much on South Park. Yeah, do nothing, remove tooth,
- 42:22Speaker 5: root canal, die.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Yeah, there is also option.
- 42:26Speaker 5: Deep deep sense for death.
- 42:28Speaker 6: Yea, And.
- 42:31Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean the root canal is something going to
- 42:32Speaker 5: be something like three grand And he said there was
- 42:35Speaker 5: a possibility that it wouldn't even work, that it's a
- 42:38Speaker 5: bit of a mess and all that, And I'm.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Like, it sounds painful a root canal. It really does.
- 42:43Speaker 5: I said, look, is this going to affect you know,
- 42:46Speaker 5: the shape of my face, the structural integrity of my jaw,
- 42:50Speaker 5: like me, my ability to to stay. You're gonna be
- 42:55Speaker 5: fine if I've got the wearwe all of the later on,
- 42:58Speaker 5: just getting get an implant whacked in.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Was like you had your tooth ripped out.
- 43:03Speaker 5: Shod.
- 43:03Speaker 4: It's like, well, like that, how did you do it?
- 43:04Speaker 4: You tied a string around it, and then a cheeseburg
- 43:08Speaker 4: and a fact you chased out wingers and a hungry dog,
- 43:13Speaker 4: but nobody is You took me to a butcher shot
- 43:16Speaker 4: you get a little wiener dog.
- 43:19Speaker 5: I I make it a just a what do you
- 43:21Speaker 5: call it? An implant? Slept in there a little bit later,
- 43:24Speaker 5: but it's right up the back.
- 43:25Speaker 4: Who gives a kid? Who gives a care? No one cares,
- 43:29Speaker 4: No one cares at all.
- 43:31Speaker 5: We don't care. Move on, story about your teeth. Nobody cares.
- 43:35Speaker 4: But so I want to touch on first. It was
- 43:38Speaker 4: one of my favorite moments because I have the bit
- 43:40Speaker 4: of a factory. I saved it for this. So the
- 43:41Speaker 4: sequence were the tiny spaceships attack bart right. I loved
- 43:45Speaker 4: the visual of that. It reminded me of the canyon
- 43:47Speaker 4: shot in Star Wars. Almost that's not called the canyon,
- 43:50Speaker 4: what is it? Trench? The trench, That's that's the word. Yes,
- 43:54Speaker 4: it mean of like a video game, something like like Galaxyan,
- 43:57Speaker 4: so that or Galagher. That was the very one of
- 43:59Speaker 4: the very first times they use computer animation on The Simpsons. Yeah,
- 44:03Speaker 4: it did feel different too, did yea? And the computer
- 44:06Speaker 4: was used to build models for reference, and then the
- 44:08Speaker 4: animators later retraced over it. Yeah, but it keeps off
- 44:11Speaker 4: of Lisa. She's lost her tooth.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Sciences already proving the dangers of smoking, alcohol and Chinese food,
- 44:17Speaker 3: but I can still ruin soft drinks for everyone.
- 44:20Speaker 4: So basically her plan is it's a science fair and
- 44:22Speaker 4: she's going to leave her tooth and let it rot
- 44:25Speaker 4: or be going to be dissolved by it's going.
- 44:27Speaker 5: To pull the buzz and yeah, see what the because
- 44:30Speaker 5: yeah that was a big thing for a while. Yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 5: if your parents want to turn you off cokes, like
- 44:35Speaker 5: you know that tooth that teeth, Yeah, you know that
- 44:37Speaker 5: tooth that just fell out instead of you know, well,
- 44:39Speaker 5: we'll give you twenty cents for it, or that's inflation.
- 44:42Speaker 5: But also we're going to take that tooth and put
- 44:44Speaker 5: in this glass of coke and see what does the tooth.
- 44:46Speaker 5: It's going to do it to your teeth. I don't care,
- 44:48Speaker 5: it's tasty coke.
- 44:48Speaker 4: When you were a kid, did you put your teeth
- 44:51Speaker 4: when it fail out your tooth? Did you put it
- 44:52Speaker 4: in a glass of water for the toothairy in England,
- 44:55Speaker 4: they don't do that. They put it under the pillow,
- 44:57Speaker 4: under the pillow like savages.
- 44:59Speaker 5: Look, Nicolay, I put it.
- 45:01Speaker 4: The glass of water. Nicola goes, what are you doing?
- 45:02Speaker 4: I said, for the tooth fairy. The tooth fairy just
- 45:05Speaker 4: put under the pillow.
- 45:07Speaker 5: How am I meant to reach in and get that
- 45:10Speaker 5: us and replace it with a shiny gold coin?
- 45:12Speaker 4: That that's true, yes, but also said, but how do
- 45:15Speaker 4: you explain to Elliott how the tooth fairy was able
- 45:17Speaker 4: to do that? And look, magic doesn't work all the time.
- 45:20Speaker 4: You caps have always fall back on magic. I said
- 45:22Speaker 4: that the.
- 45:22Speaker 5: Tooth you put it in the glass of water keeps
- 45:24Speaker 5: it clean.
- 45:25Speaker 4: She goes, well, you can get your hand were I'm like,
- 45:27Speaker 4: never showered, never down the raine. But she looks me
- 45:30Speaker 4: like I was some kind of insane person putting a
- 45:32Speaker 4: glass of water beside the bed. Said, you know, sometimes
- 45:36Speaker 4: you are very differently. So Elliott does it the Australian,
- 45:41Speaker 4: the correct Australian. So Bart is going to be doing
- 45:46Speaker 4: the experiment of do nerds conducting electricity. I thought this
- 45:49Speaker 4: was a really nice touch.
- 45:50Speaker 5: The whole standard alectricity creating the Yeah, yeah, it gives it.
- 45:53Speaker 5: It gives it a flimsy and probably non factual basis
- 45:57Speaker 5: in science.
- 45:58Speaker 4: I'm not sure does any one else suffer from this?
- 46:01Speaker 4: Pushing the kids around in the trolley right.
- 46:03Speaker 5: We don't have to pushing the kids around like y
- 46:06Speaker 5: I did that.
- 46:07Speaker 4: But whenever I'm pushing kids around the trolley right and
- 46:09Speaker 4: they're sitting in the trolley at the front, if I'm
- 46:11Speaker 4: in the supermarket, ever, and they touched me every time,
- 46:15Speaker 4: and then I set the whole thing zap, zap, zap,
- 46:17Speaker 4: and I'm like, stop touch a bad because I've never
- 46:22Speaker 4: I thought this fear of the zap. When I was
- 46:23Speaker 4: a child on the trampoline, I'd always jump over the bars.
- 46:26Speaker 4: I just got the fear of the static. It doesn't
- 46:29Speaker 4: hurt you, but I just it's a literal shock. Yeah,
- 46:33Speaker 4: but balloon's popping. I hate the sound of balloon's popping.
- 46:35Speaker 4: That's why I can't blow balloons. What else you like.
- 46:39Speaker 3: That?
- 46:39Speaker 4: We got all? But do you have like a ridiculous
- 46:44Speaker 4: fear of something? Not a fear but people.
- 46:50Speaker 5: Some people have fears of moths, you know, not like moths.
- 46:52Speaker 5: Something I really don't like is there was like an.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Acrylic fabric that track sis used to be made out of.
- 47:00Speaker 4: You Now, now now that we've got like you, I
- 47:03Speaker 4: swear you wear like a variant of the north Face
- 47:05Speaker 4: jacket every time you're here, north Face Friend of the Poor.
- 47:08Speaker 5: It's the same jack which different color.
- 47:11Speaker 4: Blue, won a grain one green. We would gought three
- 47:13Speaker 4: days a week, so it's correct with the same three jackets.
- 47:16Speaker 4: The maths is uh yeah, there was a croolic sort
- 47:21Speaker 4: of fabric that tracks. It's just to be made of
- 47:22Speaker 4: like nylon or something, and if you touched it just
- 47:27Speaker 4: the right one, Oh god, this feels terrible. Well to me,
- 47:29Speaker 4: it felt terrible. Or if you had the slightest bit of.
- 47:32Speaker 5: A hangnail or something, it would catch in it and
- 47:35Speaker 5: it would just send like full body. And to this
- 47:40Speaker 5: day it's like ana, still don't like it. Don't like it,
- 47:42Speaker 5: do not.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Want The sound I hate is nails being clipped. Oh
- 47:48Speaker 4: I hate it. Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 5: Fingernail stuff is right up there for me, real trauma
- 47:53Speaker 5: inducing stuff like cutting.
- 47:55Speaker 4: A nail too close to the quick.
- 47:56Speaker 5: Oh yeah, you know, you get a little bit of
- 47:59Speaker 5: a hangnail and goes a little bit too far. You
- 48:02Speaker 5: ripped the hangout. Now the too far now now now
- 48:05Speaker 5: it's like down to the second. This is the kind
- 48:09Speaker 5: of quality competent people tuning in. I don't want to
- 48:11Speaker 5: hear us talk about the genesis tub.
- 48:14Speaker 4: But Lisa then finds mold the following night. He's very happy.
- 48:18Speaker 4: It's signs fair pay dirt, as she says, and she's
- 48:20Speaker 4: looking through the microscope. What was it the changes from
- 48:24Speaker 4: one to ten. Well, that's the emphasise increasing the magnification.
- 48:28Speaker 4: At first, she's like, it looks the same. Ah, then
- 48:30Speaker 4: you changed the first of all was just on one time,
- 48:33Speaker 4: and she changed it the tent of one hundred, and
- 48:35Speaker 4: she realized there's little people. She's created life Lisa breakfast,
- 48:38Speaker 4: I meet wiffles. Oh, waffles, I've created life waffles. More important,
- 48:42Speaker 4: gets down there, realized that it's not waffles, it's square pancakes.
- 48:45Speaker 4: Square pancakes. That was just the reason to get her
- 48:47Speaker 4: to leave the room and come back. Correct. Well, they
- 48:49Speaker 4: they evolved pretty quickly two minutes, yes, but they've they've
- 48:54Speaker 4: reached a renaissance. I've created Lutherans and then the electricity overnight.
- 48:58Speaker 4: So the evolving very very quickly. It's like looking into
- 49:00Speaker 4: the future potentially, you know, the lights are coming on
- 49:03Speaker 4: the little glow from over the bed.
- 49:04Speaker 5: It was really good.
- 49:06Speaker 4: This episode is really good visually, it wasn't it. I
- 49:08Speaker 4: love the opening shot of the next one as well,
- 49:10Speaker 4: Went Home. It's just fishing at those sons going down
- 49:12Speaker 4: the front thing. But so she's like looking to the
- 49:15Speaker 4: future and Bart walks in and squash it with his finger,
- 49:17Speaker 4: and very traumatic.
- 49:19Speaker 5: Very traumatic. Now I know that he doesn't know what he's.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Doing, doesn't Yeah, he's trying to grow a friend. But yeah,
- 49:28Speaker 4: very annoying on Bart's part that someone would just fuck
- 49:31Speaker 4: with your project like that. But a little guys. I
- 49:34Speaker 4: like the detail of the fingerprint in the tooth. Yeah,
- 49:37Speaker 4: that's an actual fingerprint. Yeah. But the ships then at
- 49:40Speaker 4: night attack Bart and as we're discussing his computer animal,
- 49:42Speaker 4: it just looked cool, did Yeah, they don't mess with
- 49:46Speaker 4: these guys, Absolutely no. But then I like the visual
- 49:50Speaker 4: of them going through his head. Did you see them
- 49:52Speaker 4: in the eyes? Very cartoony, but I like that. Then
- 49:54Speaker 4: he goes to confront them and he says, if you
- 49:55Speaker 4: can't watch them all the time, eventually's going to be
- 49:57Speaker 4: flush toilet time for Tiny Tank, toilet time for Tiny town. Yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 4: and they've sucked Lisa down in now, which apparently those
- 50:03Speaker 4: rings were.
- 50:04Speaker 5: Shout out to the classic German sci fi movie Metropolis.
- 50:08Speaker 4: That's it, you're one of your favorite films?
- 50:09Speaker 5: Right, not one of my favorites, but certainly it's the
- 50:11Speaker 5: poster of it though, right, I do, because.
- 50:13Speaker 4: It's just cool art decker looking stuff.
- 50:15Speaker 5: You post her. Oh, I am a complete poster on
- 50:17Speaker 5: the wall, and you're like, I like the movie. I
- 50:20Speaker 5: didn't say I disliked the movie.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Tell us your favorite song by Nirvana, like Spirit one
- 50:25Speaker 4: of those girls I saw. We saw girls walking around
- 50:28Speaker 4: the beach yesterday, went to the beach and they were
- 50:29Speaker 4: wearing like guns n' roses Nirvana and did you go
- 50:33Speaker 4: up and say who I was walking past? And then
- 50:35Speaker 4: they and then they put on they had that, They
- 50:37Speaker 4: had a boom box. They had these like you know,
- 50:40Speaker 4: like we're in a hot tip time machine. They had
- 50:42Speaker 4: these eighties all one was like van Halen like it's
- 50:45Speaker 4: basically all going to cotton on and bought like a
- 50:46Speaker 4: different band shirt and then they put on no Scrubs
- 50:49Speaker 4: by TLC. I'm like, what is happening here? You're wearing
- 50:53Speaker 4: a Nirvana shirt with TLC no scrubs.
- 50:56Speaker 5: You encountered a bunch of classic Young Lady well done. Yes,
- 51:00Speaker 5: I was impressed.
- 51:01Speaker 4: It's kind of cool that these kids are like listening
- 51:03Speaker 4: to the classics as it's now a classic, I guess,
- 51:05Speaker 4: but it was bizarre Navana with TLC. By the way,
- 51:09Speaker 4: my favorite Nevana song is Lithium is it? I like
- 51:12Speaker 4: that one a lot Cha Box. I like archa Box
- 51:15Speaker 4: a lot. I have always been a fan of Have
- 51:19Speaker 4: you ever heard of Sliver? Yes? Yes, that's sort of
- 51:22Speaker 4: like a B side one that I really really liked.
- 51:24Speaker 4: But the Train New has always been my major song favorite,
- 51:27Speaker 4: but smells like teen spirit. I can very take it
- 51:29Speaker 4: or leave it. I understand it changed everything. Yes, but
- 51:32Speaker 4: I don't need to hear that song of regain in
- 51:33Speaker 4: my life.
- 51:34Speaker 5: It's sort of it's not reaching piano man status, but
- 51:36Speaker 5: it's like we're hearing this too often?
- 51:41Speaker 4: Did you know that? By supporting our show on Patreon,

- 52:14Speaker 4: in now by the debigulator and uh, it's basically just
- 52:18Speaker 4: frank in there speaking of that. Spoke to our Mankazari
- 52:22Speaker 4: last week. Now, Yes, so if you want to hear that,
- 52:25Speaker 4: it's on the two new a Gym Comings podcast. Jim
- 52:27Speaker 4: and I spoke with Hankazaria for over an hour. Wow,
- 52:30Speaker 4: it was I was halfway through the episode going, this
- 52:34Speaker 4: is a big deal for me. Thankfully I didn't come
- 52:38Speaker 4: across like a super fan. He came across like a
- 52:40Speaker 4: super fan for Jim Cummings. That's very nice. Yeah, yeah,
- 52:42Speaker 4: it was quite good. But check it out. Yes, and
- 52:44Speaker 4: then yeah, we we've learned to speak English because we
- 52:47Speaker 4: listened to you speak and we can imitate you exactly.
- 52:52Speaker 8: You think I'm God, but of course you look down
- 52:55Speaker 8: on us from heaven. You'll give us life, and only
- 52:59Speaker 8: your device intervention can save us from the devil.
- 53:03Speaker 4: The devil.
- 53:03Speaker 1: What devil the one you call bond?
- 53:11Speaker 4: No, no, no, you don't understand.
- 53:14Speaker 7: That's just my brother, not devil is your brother.
- 53:21Speaker 8: I must say, we find that quite perplexing.
- 53:24Speaker 4: God.
- 53:25Speaker 7: Hi, Bill Watson, I live in the Clark Building.
- 53:27Speaker 4: I have a question.
- 53:29Speaker 7: If you're so good, why do you allow bad things
- 53:31Speaker 7: to happen?
- 53:32Speaker 4: Why am I show fat?
- 53:37Speaker 5: That's probably the first question you ever ask God.
- 53:39Speaker 4: It's really the traditional yeah God, ever case, like, why
- 53:43Speaker 4: do bad things having to good people? That's what give
- 53:45Speaker 4: me a legitimate reason why that happens? That's Baby's first atheism.
- 53:50Speaker 4: Why am I so fat? That's the second question. And
- 53:53Speaker 4: she says, she says she needs to get back up
- 53:56Speaker 4: this so she can fix things. And that's going some
- 53:59Speaker 4: kind of read Big Leader. And then Bart the Destroyer
- 54:01Speaker 4: of returns. This shot here has always felt like it's
- 54:05Speaker 4: from something where there's a crowd and Holy Baby goes no, yeah,
- 54:09Speaker 4: from something it feels like it is.
- 54:11Speaker 5: It feels like a nineteen fifties like sci fi. Actually,
- 54:15Speaker 5: the Oh Later. It's the ship hit in the in
- 54:19Speaker 5: Citizen Kang when the Flying Sourcer hits H's the White House.
- 54:23Speaker 5: That's a director lift from Earth versus the flying sources.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 54:25Speaker 5: I think it's been name checked on the show once
- 54:27Speaker 5: before it okay, by which I mean on full thing
- 54:31Speaker 5: a discount, but yeah, that's yeah, sort of people running
- 54:35Speaker 5: looking back with like that. That's straight out of a
- 54:37Speaker 5: nine in the horror movie or sci fi movie. Yep.
- 54:40Speaker 4: I think he's going to kill them all, but no,
- 54:42Speaker 4: he's going to be winning the science contests or or
- 54:44Speaker 4: Martin couldn't even get it with these milk milk box,
- 54:46Speaker 4: ukulelea whatever, yeah juice box yeah, yeah, yeah, And Lisa
- 54:50Speaker 4: is now stuck in her lousy tub for the rest
- 54:52Speaker 4: of her life. Shouldn't you people be groveling give me shoes.
- 54:55Speaker 4: She want sucks, I'll get sucks. That it's Citizen Kang.
- 54:59Speaker 4: And I love the opening shot here. I was talked
- 55:01Speaker 4: about early morning. This is like dusk. So I was
- 55:04Speaker 4: just fishing on a boat, relaxing. No, I don't care
- 55:06Speaker 4: about catch a fish. Then start screaming the fish the
- 55:09Speaker 4: bait don't maybe come down there. Then a ship comes
- 55:12Speaker 4: down with the claw machine. You talk about lovely visuals.
- 55:15Speaker 5: By the way, the fact that he's sort of looking
- 55:16Speaker 5: in the in the water of the shop from the
- 55:18Speaker 5: water looking up and you see the animation really good.
- 55:21Speaker 4: Yeah, And I just love the piss take of the
- 55:22Speaker 4: cor machine here where just comes down, picks him up
- 55:24Speaker 4: and drops him. Now, we went to time zone yesterday.
- 55:26Speaker 4: Here there's the West time zone. And I watched this guy,
- 55:29Speaker 4: legit I Reckon spent probably fifty dollars on the corn
- 55:31Speaker 4: machine trying to pick up an Optimus Prime toy, like
- 55:35Speaker 4: a pretty fairly big one, right, not not huge one,
- 55:39Speaker 4: like a decent sized one. And he still didn't get it.
- 55:42Speaker 4: And I was just like, it's just a toy. Just
- 55:44Speaker 4: go to the shop and buy one for ten Bucksack.
- 55:47Speaker 5: He sat there.
- 55:48Speaker 4: It's just it was there for like fifteen minutes, just
- 55:50Speaker 4: trying to win his Optimus Prime to It's an obsession,
- 55:52Speaker 4: I guess, isn't it. Oh.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Absolutely, I've never been a big claw machine guy.
- 55:55Speaker 4: I like the candy ones because you generally, generally you
- 55:57Speaker 4: win something in the canyon, even if it's just a
- 55:58Speaker 4: couple of chocolates. But you think this probably costs like
- 56:01Speaker 4: ten centence of.
- 56:02Speaker 5: Correct, yes, yeah, if you start thinking about again, if
- 56:05Speaker 5: you start running the numbers.
- 56:06Speaker 4: Like ah. I was a bit scared for my parents
- 56:08Speaker 4: this week because they came in like, we just went
- 56:10Speaker 4: to the pokes. We won three thousand dollars, and I
- 56:12Speaker 4: was like, oh no, that's where it starts.
- 56:13Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, to quote the Steve Millerman, take the money
- 56:17Speaker 5: and run. So then how this is an old timer
- 56:24Speaker 5: of a line by the way.
- 56:25Speaker 2: From Homer, Oh my god speech aliens, don't you have
- 56:29Speaker 2: a wife and kids?
- 56:30Speaker 4: Hit them? Hit them? That's iconic, that's fantastic. A lot
- 56:36Speaker 4: of good stuff in the in these three segments. Yeah, yeah,
- 56:39Speaker 4: it is. What it's revealed that Codos is King's sister.
- 56:43Speaker 4: And then they home thinks, well, you're an alien. You
- 56:45Speaker 4: can have to probe me, because that's just to go to,
- 56:46Speaker 4: isn't it. You know, probing me. It's the only way
- 56:48Speaker 4: I can go inside through the bum And they've reached
- 56:51Speaker 4: their limits with recto probing. Well what they can teach us,
- 56:53Speaker 4: So now they want to be taken to the leader.
- 56:54Speaker 4: I suppose you gets President Clinton, but there's gonna be
- 56:57Speaker 4: an election he's gonna get said mumbley Joe Bumble Joe. Wow,
- 57:01Speaker 4: since since his reds the future again? Yes, and then
- 57:08Speaker 4: there's Bob Doll grab grab doll in Clinton from their
- 57:11Speaker 4: various beds. What is this?
- 57:14Speaker 5: I don't need this.
- 57:17Speaker 4: Some kind of do yes, And they commenced the bio duplication,
- 57:22Speaker 4: and which is why I never really understood the reveal
- 57:24Speaker 4: at the end. It's a slight thing, it's not a
- 57:25Speaker 4: nippy but it's just they become the person. Then why
- 57:29Speaker 4: did they rip off the mask to the end, it
- 57:31Speaker 4: doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Duplication war off that has
- 57:34Speaker 4: made fancy suits. That's a good justification. Well so home's like,
- 57:39Speaker 4: I'm a conspiracies. Was it naked conspiracies? You know, aliens invasions?
- 57:42Speaker 4: Linden and Laruche was right? Who's Linden and Laruche? That's
- 57:44Speaker 4: a good question. Can you tell me? Oh, I just
- 57:47Speaker 4: whenever it's like an old timy reference. I'm like, guy,
- 57:49Speaker 4: well know, guy does not know who Linda Laruche is.
- 57:51Speaker 4: Let's have a look.
- 57:52Speaker 5: Linden H. Larus LaRue lar Lyndon LaRouche was an American
- 57:58Speaker 5: political activist who founded the Laruche Movement and its main organization,
- 58:02Speaker 5: the National Court. He was a prominent conspiracy theorist and
- 58:06Speaker 5: perennial presidential candidate. He began in far left politics in
- 58:10Speaker 5: the nineteen forties and later supported the civil rights movement,
- 58:13Speaker 5: but in the nineteen seventies he moved to the far right.
- 58:16Speaker 5: His movement is sometimes described as liken to a cult.
- 58:19Speaker 4: Convicted of fraud, he said five years in prison from
- 58:21Speaker 4: eighteen nine to ninety four. Lynn, it started off so
- 58:25Speaker 4: strong conspiracy theories. When that happened, that's a great thing
- 58:31Speaker 4: about conspiracy, or is you can just tie any thing.
- 58:33Speaker 4: It was like I got too close the bars. You're
- 58:37Speaker 4: sure you went a fraud. That's why I was talking
- 58:40Speaker 4: recently just off there then about AFL and Straight for Board,
- 58:44Speaker 4: the trade period. And it's just when media just write
- 58:47Speaker 4: out a story like my source, and it's like it's
- 58:49Speaker 4: all bushes. Well, I can't reveal my sources.
- 58:52Speaker 5: You're just making it up.
- 58:55Speaker 4: That's why I can't reveal my source. My sources say,
- 58:58Speaker 4: But they spray Homer with so nobody will believe in
- 59:01Speaker 4: the story.
- 59:01Speaker 5: And I thought that's quite nice of them. They could
- 59:02Speaker 5: have killed him. They just kick about covering.
- 59:04Speaker 4: M Rum and the family are now watching that the
- 59:06Speaker 4: following So that was overnight, I'm assuming So it was
- 59:09Speaker 4: out all night fishing. Yes, the sun was going down,
- 59:12Speaker 4: wasn't it.
- 59:12Speaker 5: So?
- 59:12Speaker 4: Yes, he comes back in the morning, the family watching
- 59:14Speaker 4: Clinton on the news, and yeah, just said something silly
- 59:17Speaker 4: and communication flick WILLI Why, yeah, that's lick will talk. Yes,
- 59:22Speaker 4: so there are a few moments here where it's obviously
- 59:24Speaker 4: it's Clinton and Dole. But this here could just be like,
- 59:26Speaker 4: as I said, a direct parody of as politics in general.
- 59:28Speaker 4: You can assign these to any politician race, very race,
- 59:32Speaker 4: but just slick Willy. Yeah.
- 59:34Speaker 5: So then did actually call him slick Willy?
- 59:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, Homer says he caught I
- 59:39Speaker 4: love that. He starts the story. I was just catching
- 59:41Speaker 4: the biggest fish you've ever seen, every fisherman and yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 4: sure you were rumming. You weren't abducted by aliens at all.
- 59:49Speaker 4: And Bob Dole is on the news says your planet
- 59:52Speaker 4: is doomed.
- 59:53Speaker 6: Doomed.
- 59:54Speaker 5: That's very much, that's Ralph.
- 59:55Speaker 4: Yeah, there we go, and a refreshmently frank response from
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: candidate bubb Doll.
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: Abortions for all, very well, no abortions for anyone, abortions
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: for some miniature American flags for others.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: So good. You feel like you can say this is
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: twenty twenty four and it will still get like does
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: still work.
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: It's an evergreen line. It's fantastic.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: And then the dole in Clinton are now holding hands
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: down the street and they're talking about how easy politics
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: in America is. He always to do is just bland
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: pleasantries and followed by either a sax solo or an
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: infant kiss. Yes, and the Democratic National Party arrivee they go.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: So I just want to ask him, why are you
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: holding his hands? Why are they holding hands to exchange
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: long protein strings? Protein strings? Yeah, you can think of
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: a better way. I'd like to know it. And then
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: I've never noticed this, I call me never knows how
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: it was following them as I was running behind him.
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: He's like sneaking and watching them, and it's debate night,
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: and I think this is the probably the line always
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: I love the most. When I was a young boy,
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I always dreamed of being a baseball. They've nearly got it,
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: they have m quite got it, but people does numb
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: enough to buy into it anyway.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: My fellow American.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: As a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball.
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: But tonight I say we must move forward, not backward, Upward,
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: not forward, and always twirling, twirling, swirling towards freedom.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: So fun.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Fact, now you played this at the Simpsons panel at
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: the SACAC this year. Right. So, back in twenty thirteen,
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: there was a clip of Kamala Harris filmed reciting that
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: the line. Right, do you know why? It was part
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: of a scavenger hunt in Chicago for the University of
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: Chicago where they had to get so. Challenge number sixty
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: eight required an elected public official who asserts, either on
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: video or in person, in their country should move forward,
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: not backward, output not forward, and always torn towards freedom.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: And she did that. And I don't think you watched
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: a video. I don't think she quite realizes she thinks
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: it's a funny, silly line, but it's now Simpsons reference
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: and now they're using it as saying she's like us.
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: So this was filmed eleven years ago. Oh my goodness,
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: but people are using that video. The video went viral
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: again and they were saying, look, she's she's just like
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: she's just like I was looking at her. She's even
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: quoting the Simpsons. He goes, yeah, she didn't know what
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: she was doing. We never quoted the Simpsons in her life,
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: never watched the Simpsons, that's for sure. But that's just
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: twelve in towards me, and everybody's falling for it. But
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: then how interrupts though, and he says they're all terrible
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: space aliens, and no, I'm believing. They throw him out
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: and take your sting and flag with you, and he
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: finds the ship, which was a great reveal, a tiny bush.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: Oh it was a giant ship behind it, and then
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: he lets the fluid out of the tube. He saves Clinton,
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: saves Dole as well, and they realize here, America can
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: only be great if we worked together. So be a
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: bright future ahead for America. But unfortunately Homer kills them.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: Yeah that was a little bit of a surprise, and
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: they're out in space and oh no, they're not going
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: to read it. They're dying. Ye. So the very thing
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: is they're in Springfield, right, the debate is being held
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: in Springfield. Where the fuck was he driving the space ship? Oh?
- 1:03:20Speaker 5: Yeah, space?
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: But the politics of failure have failed, and they look
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: forward to an orderly election tomorrow to luinate any need
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: for a violent blood math. And Homer eventually rips off
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: the mass here and as revealed, they are terrible.
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: Imagine this happened in real life?
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: Oh my, what would you actually think if it was
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: like all this time the celebrities were lizard people and
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: like it was proved, Oh ship they were? They actually were?
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: Oh god, I think my initial thought would be like,
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: this is a very elaborate, deep fake.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: Yeah, unless I saw it with my own if you
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: were there in person and they revealed that they actually
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: were lizard.
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: People, and even then I have we go, what kind
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: of stunt are they pull in it?
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: Yeah? Who's who's behind all this? You know? Have I
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: been have I been dosed with some kind of hallucinogen?
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: What's going on?
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: Would you apologize to all the crazies?
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: Oh? Of course, I don't deserve it. But it's a
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: two party system. You have to vote for one of us.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: I well for a third party. Now, who's the guy
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: has a hat?
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: That's Ross Perot, who actually was an independent candidate, whether
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: it was in ninety six or before then. But he
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: was like he was a like a billionaire or a
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: millionaire out of Texas, okay, and not a weird little guy,
- 1:04:36Speaker 5: but he was like a little guy and he kind
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: of seemed like a bit of a Okay, he seems smart,
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: but not in the way that you want necessarily a
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: leader to be.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: He's kind of like, we're gonna do it by way.
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: He actually seemed like that way the way he seems
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: like that kind of person, like I don't know, you
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: always seems it's good to have an alternative. But also
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: he seemed kind of crazy.
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: Yeah, not crazy, but just you wouldn't suscribe to his news.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: Like a little bit eccentric.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: I think you might need to be running up against
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: the Democrats and the Republicans.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Yeah. But the guy though, who says I vote for
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: a third party. He the design of him is just
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: skinner with black hair. Oh okay, Yeah. It always puzzled
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: me the head by because season eight they always made
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: sure that they didn't do this kind of shit. But yeah,
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: it was just skinn of a black hair. But it's
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: an inauguration day and Kang is now president President Kang
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: am we get the iconic.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: I don't understand why we have to build a ray
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: gun to aim in a planet I never.
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: Even heard of.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Don't blame me. I voted for Kodos.
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: At the end of Trios of Horror seven. It is
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: what a pearla.
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: It's a good one. Yeah, not, I don't think there's
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: too much in this. Almost anything in this that we're
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: going that kind of sucked.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: Or nothing sucked.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: No, no, no, I mean some bits were better than others,
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: but there weren't any bits that maybe going well, I
- 1:05:49Speaker 5: forget it. It was good.
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: It was a good blend of it felt like Twilight
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: Zone horror. Yeah, didn't it. That's what Genesis Tub was absolutely, Yeah.
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: No, it's a good yeah, blend of horror stars and
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: all good blae of genre styles as well.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Got a bit of sci fi and thething I could
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: put on for the kids. Yeah, you've got they're going
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: to be scared by this.
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: Yeah, you've got legitimate science fiction in the Genesis Tub and.
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: Side fiction with the aliens as well. That's yeah.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: But in the first horror it's actual science related first
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: one horror without gore pretty much. Yeah, good stuff. I
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: really really like this one.
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: Treos of Horror seven.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: Good selection by you, Dando. Yes. Now, next week we
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: shall be doing our review of the finale of season nineteen.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: And I'm got to say, last week I was talking
- 1:06:31Speaker 4: about how.
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: Excited I was.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: I haven't washed it yet, but it's the it's the
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: episode I've been warned about oh okay. Then it is
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: narrated by one side show Mal, so it's a Lisa
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: episode narrated by sidecho Mal. Lisa becomes his assistant. I
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: think chausse He's assistant.
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: These are two great taste that don't taste great together.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: We shall find out maybe could be good. As we say,
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: go in with low expectations and we should be fine.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: But yeah, Trisafar said, have you guy enjoyed our review?
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: What are you doing for Halloween? Do you do anything
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: for Halloween? Not really doesn't savvy Steve savy Steve it.
- 1:07:06Speaker 5: Goes wild on Halloween. I will go over and help
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: him out. I will hand out a few goodie bags
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: for the kids.
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: That's just tomorrow. It's something I do every week.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: Much of that, that's Tuesday.
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: Much of the sugarine of every parent.
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: And they it's like, stop giving our kids stuff.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: You're creeping us out. No, But otherwise nah, I don't
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: really sort.
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: Of go too crazy for Halloween. Maybe watch a spooky movie. Yeah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 5: when is it on the weekend this year?
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: Well, I don't think it is. So Holy's birthdays are
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: twenty first and it's on a Monday. Ten days of seven.
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: It's going to be Thursday. Yeah, like quickly we did that.
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: That's pretty clever. Next year, we just reminded me my
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: friend he got into the ballot for o wasted tickets,
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: which is today at ten am as we recall this,
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: I hope you got tickets.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: Oh god, I've got to get tickets tomorrow for Fat
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: Boy Slim.
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: Oh okay, see with a waste because the reason I
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: said this is because they're gonna be playing October thirty
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: first next year. So basically I had to enter a
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: drawer to go into a ballot to be able to
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: get access to tickets for Oasis.
- 1:08:12Speaker 5: And he's from the good old days of like you know,
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: blood up, putting your sleeping BG out front of the
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: ticket mat not even Ticketmaster were. They're good old days though,
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: better than these go.
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: Into a ballot to be able to buy you. I
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: don't know if I mean you felt like a boss
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: if you lined up and you're like, you know what
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: the thing is, Though someone got good tickets for a concert,
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: you know they earned them. Yes, your grand Fire tickets,
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: you earned them. This this feels like more like a lottery. Yeah,
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: I don't ever like it. Yeah, these girls were in
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: a Vanagh shirts. Never been an Oasis song in your life,
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: you have a line up of tickets in your life? Yes,
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: all right, So Halloween for us, I've got my I'm
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: going to be dressing up as Alan grant one Dressy Park.
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: I've got the glasses, the hat, the shirt, the red bandanna,
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: and I've got an electronic puppet that is a baby
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: t Rex so it looks like I'm handling a baby
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: t Rex. Ah, I'm going all out this year, but
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: the last three years of it has been just up
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: a Scooby Doo case. I'm like, well, I've got a
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: mascot Scooby Do out it. I'm just gonna wear this.
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: But it's hard to walk around. It's okay, it's hot
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: in there, and people never say can I.
- 1:09:14Speaker 5: Get a photo with you?
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: I'm just like, I can't see you, and the kids
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: are walking up like winning a high five, but I
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: know they're then I feel bad because like you needn't
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: snow my head.
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: I'm like, I can't see you.
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: Kid, Bro, you get in front of me, like I've
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: got like this much space to see, just this fin area.
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: But so I'm not gonna Scooby Doo this year. I've
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: given that to Uncle Darren. Oh but I never appreciate that.
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: Yeah he does.
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: He love Scooby Doo.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: Anyway, all right, guys, thanks for listening to our review

- 1:10:08Speaker 5: Wow, what are they are they? What are they saying
- 1:10:11Speaker 5: good things? Saying good things?
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: Yes? See nice to us? Why are they so fat?
