- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning, everybody. Are you listening to the voice?
- 0:09Speaker 1: Come on, dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 0:13Speaker 1: got a radio show. Okay, I got something for you today.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna have a conversation this morning about my understanding
- 0:25Speaker 1: of grace now that I've gotten older and I've come
- 0:29Speaker 1: into a better understanding of a lot of things I
- 0:32Speaker 1: didn't know about when I was younger. This is just
- 0:35Speaker 1: my interpretation of grace. Now once again, y'all listen to me.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I ain't nobody's pastor, I ain't nobody's minister. So you know,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure you can go to church and get
- 0:48Speaker 1: a far more extensive definition of one I'm giving you.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm just talking to people.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 0:55Speaker 1: Grace is this thing that God provides for us, and
- 1:02Speaker 1: grace is just things that you get that's really undeserving,
- 1:07Speaker 1: you know. I mean, I look in my life as
- 1:10Speaker 1: it is today and now, look, I work hard and
- 1:12Speaker 1: I have faith in God that I do so things
- 1:16Speaker 1: are going to happen in my life. But the way
- 1:18Speaker 1: my life is now, I don't don't.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I don't deserve all of this.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I don't don't I don't look at it that way,
- 1:25Speaker 1: I have been the beneficiary of God's grace. I have
- 1:30Speaker 1: aligned myself in a position to accept whatever grace God
- 1:35Speaker 1: has for me, and it will be far abundant and
- 1:40Speaker 1: exceedingly in anything you could think of. His grace supersedes
- 1:46Speaker 1: anything you could possibly imagine. You know, the goals that
- 1:49Speaker 1: I set, and the aspirations that I shoot for, and
- 1:51Speaker 1: the things that I have on my dream board. I
- 1:54Speaker 1: have the faith that God will give it to me.
- 1:56Speaker 1: But what He does with grace, he gives you far
- 1:59Speaker 1: more than that. He gives you what He has for you,
- 2:03Speaker 1: not what you can see. You can't see all He
- 2:05Speaker 1: has for you. It's impossible.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Who are you?
- 2:08Speaker 1: How can you possibly imagine what he can imagine? How
- 2:11Speaker 1: can you possibly think how he can think? How can
- 2:14Speaker 1: you possibly do what he can do? How can it
- 2:17Speaker 1: be that isn't a single mind living or a collection
- 2:21Speaker 1: of minds that could have thought of Earth? What in
- 2:25Speaker 1: your wildest imagination could have made you think of Earth?
- 2:28Speaker 1: The stars, the heavens, the oceans, the galaxy, the constellations.
- 2:35Speaker 2: What in your mind? What in any man's mind?
- 2:39Speaker 1: We can point at it and analyze it, but we
- 2:41Speaker 1: show couldn't have thought of it. So come on, now,
- 2:44Speaker 1: I'm talking about lining yourself up with God's grace, which
- 2:50Speaker 1: he will give.
- 2:51Speaker 2: To you if you want some of it now. But
- 2:54Speaker 2: now his thing about grace, it can't be bought.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Could If it could be bought, I'm telling you I
- 3:00Speaker 1: would pull all the money I have and dump it
- 3:04Speaker 1: into grace, because, after discovering what it is, it's this
- 3:10Speaker 1: goodness that God shines on you simply as a reward
- 3:15Speaker 1: of some type for His love for you and for
- 3:18Speaker 1: you attempting, for you attempting to do.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Right, not because you get it right.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Because if He judged us purely on how we are
- 3:28Speaker 1: the right and wrong of it, we would all be doomed,
- 3:31Speaker 1: all of us, every last one of us, would be
- 3:35Speaker 1: doomed because we all fall short, we all make mistakes,
- 3:40Speaker 1: we all sin, we all get.
- 3:42Speaker 2: It wrong from time to time. Nobody's perfect.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Man. Now I understand what my mother was saying about
- 3:49Speaker 1: cleaning the house. All I want is a little more grace.
- 3:53Speaker 1: All I need is a little more grace when the
- 3:56Speaker 1: last time you ask God for some grace. Now, I'm
- 3:58Speaker 1: not talking to you like I know. If if you
- 4:02Speaker 1: just benefit from His grace, what you already have. But
- 4:06Speaker 1: if you're not aware of it, you don't know what's
- 4:08Speaker 1: going on. Become aware of grace, Get aware of the
- 4:12Speaker 1: fact that God does things for you simply because He
- 4:15Speaker 1: loves you.
- 4:16Speaker 2: He does things for you that you don't even deserve.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Somehow, you just wonder how you just got over when
- 4:22Speaker 1: you didn't even do the things to get over. Sometimes
- 4:27Speaker 1: you don't even know how you got that job you
- 4:29Speaker 1: got when you ain't even really do the things to
- 4:31Speaker 1: get your job. How you end up where you are
- 4:33Speaker 1: all the education you thought you went and got, and hey,
- 4:37Speaker 1: how you end up where you are today in a
- 4:39Speaker 1: much better position than your education could have ever gotten you.
- 4:43Speaker 2: That's grace.
- 4:45Speaker 1: How I get every place I am today. I didn't
- 4:48Speaker 1: plan this, Man. If I could have planned my life
- 4:50Speaker 1: the way it is, don't you know, I'd have done
- 4:51Speaker 1: it when I was living in that car if I
- 4:53Speaker 1: knew how to do it.
- 4:54Speaker 2: No, I benefited from his grace.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I'm just a beneficish of his grace, of his goodness
- 5:03Speaker 1: and his mercy. God's goodness is better than your goodness.
- 5:07Speaker 1: God's goodness is better than your mother's goodness. It's better
- 5:10Speaker 1: than your wife's or your husband or your boo's goodness.
- 5:14Speaker 1: God's goodness is different. His goodness, man covers some stuff
- 5:19Speaker 1: you can't even imagine. So why are you trying to
- 5:23Speaker 1: put your life together when the last time you asked
- 5:26Speaker 1: him for just a little.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Bit of grace?
- 5:29Speaker 1: When have you thought of your life in terms of
- 5:32Speaker 1: the grace that it has already benefited from?
- 5:35Speaker 2: Have you ever done that? Man?
- 5:38Speaker 1: Just thought about you know you hear songs like my soul,
- 5:40Speaker 1: look back and wonder how I got over?
- 5:42Speaker 2: That was grace.
- 5:44Speaker 1: That's all I can call it. Now, Like I said,
- 5:46Speaker 1: you can go to church or somewherever you want to
- 5:48Speaker 1: and ministers that the window at school to teach this
- 5:51Speaker 1: thing way better than me. I'm just giving you from
- 5:53Speaker 1: a layman standpoint, Man, have you thought about his grace?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Would you not bewalled to be a beneficiary of his grace?
- 6:01Speaker 2: With it not?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Sert? Now check this out. The better you try to do,
- 6:06Speaker 1: the more grace he'll give to you. Now that grace
- 6:09Speaker 1: can't be bought, Like I said, it's free. You can't
- 6:12Speaker 1: purchase grace. But the better you try to become the
- 6:16Speaker 1: more the more grace he gets to put your way.
- 6:19Speaker 1: So man, just try why don't you just try to
- 6:23Speaker 1: do better? Look, man, quit talking about it. I'm gonna
- 6:26Speaker 1: start next week. I'm gonna start at the new year,
- 6:28Speaker 1: now you not, Yeah, you do that every year ever
- 6:31Speaker 1: at the new year. I wanna eat better at the
- 6:32Speaker 1: new year. I'm gonna I'm gonna go on get in
- 6:35Speaker 1: here and the new year. If you're gonna do it,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you're gonna do it now. Man, You're gonna do it now.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Stop trying do something, do it, Stop talking about it,
- 6:45Speaker 1: do it now. The best way to benefit from his
- 6:48Speaker 1: grace is starting action now, n o W now, right
- 6:54Speaker 1: now today, what you're waiting on, all you doing is
- 6:58Speaker 1: delaying his opportunity to bless you.
- 7:02Speaker 2: You know, men, you know do you know how many
- 7:03Speaker 2: times we do that?
- 7:04Speaker 1: We delay his opportunity to bless us by not starting now.
- 7:09Speaker 2: If you gonna get healthy, why don't you start now?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Now. You're gonna trip a little bit because the holiday's coming,
- 7:14Speaker 1: But you ain't got to eat bad all the time.
- 7:17Speaker 1: You could start eating correct today you could. You could,
- 7:21Speaker 1: and then guess what, there could be some grace on
- 7:23Speaker 1: the end of that. I'm just giving you a little
- 7:26Speaker 1: cheap analogy. But do you feel what I'm saying to you,
- 7:29Speaker 1: start thinking in terms of grace, what he has done
- 7:32Speaker 1: for you and provided for you that you ain't even
- 7:34Speaker 1: see coming.
- 7:35Speaker 2: That you know.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You keep calling them blessings, and I got that a
- 7:38Speaker 1: lot of it house all it is, But man, have
- 7:40Speaker 1: you thought about the stuff that didn't happened to you
- 7:42Speaker 1: you can't account for. For me, that's been grace and
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm beneficiary of it, and that's available to everybody that
- 7:52Speaker 1: won't sung. Next time you're talking to him, just check
- 7:54Speaker 1: in with grace. See what that is. That's that's better
- 7:58Speaker 1: than money held it as Steve Harvey Morning Show
