  [SPEAKER_00]: This is the type of bulletin board material that we know Jaguar's head coach Liam Cohen will use at different points throughout the off season to inspire to motivate right when you give him ammunition like this and this is good ammunition when you look at where the Jaguar's are ranked on the ringers power rankings.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but let's see, the number 14, the 14th place, and these power rings, Jacksonville Jaguars, Deontay writes, even when the Jaguars were red hot late last season, it was hard to truly believe in them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing this team does carries over on a weekly let alone yearly basis.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They won 13 games last season, thanks to their prolific offense, their defense, which regularly forced turnovers and some savvy coaching.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just gonna go ahead and say,

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're telling me prolific offense and savvy coaching.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are not things that carry over a week to week or a year to year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: OK. OK. Head Coach Liam Cohen clearly knows how to design a good offense in defense of coordinating at the Campanile, who quickly turned and underwhelming unit around will likely get a head coaching job in the not-too-distant future.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But it's hard to look at Jacksonville's 2026 roster and feel confident that it would be better this season than it was when it lost to Buffalo in the wildcard round in January.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Ventura Miller can perform there, but if you just start on the outside looking in, I can understand how you could say, okay, add off ball line backer they are not as good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think Ventura Miller is as good as Devon Lloyd, but I do think he's a damn good player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the way the Jaguar is utilized Devon Lloyd Ventura Miller can absolutely thrive in that situation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted the Jaguar to keep Travis ET in, but I think that they have a clear vision for how they're going to utilize this backfield with Chris Rodriguez and Bachelorette and Lee Quint Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the biggest difference is that Greg Newsom is no longer in the starting lineup, and Travis Hunter is at corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I feel a lot more confident about the defense because Travis Hunter's going to be out there than I did heading into that playoff game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Deontek continues, Jacksonville had a little money to spend in for agency and lack of draft capital because of last year's trade for Travis Hunter, okay, did they lack a draft capital or did they lack first run pick?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I guess you can say lacking a first round pick means you're lacking draft capital, but they walk the way with 10 draft picks, okay?

  [SPEAKER_00]: The only way it will be a contender in 2026 is if quarterback Trevor Lawrence stays hot and Hunter who will primarily, like, corner back this season, proves to be Jacksonville's missing piece.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguars should easily be in the top 10, and if you're putting the Texans at five, the Jaguars objectively should it either be right below them or right ahead of them.
