- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's get into ECC today. We're going to break down
- 0:02Speaker 1: some of the biggest news coming out of that event.
- 0:04Speaker 1: You guys can visit ETHCC dot io and learn a
- 0:07Speaker 1: little bit more about what's going on over there in France.
- 0:10Speaker 1: A lot of news coming out, but the key thing
- 0:13Speaker 1: has really been centered around yields and also borrowing within
- 0:17Speaker 1: the DeFi architecture. And if you look at some of
- 0:19Speaker 1: the things that are happening right now, this is interesting
- 0:22Speaker 1: to me. Only twelve percent of US crypto holders currently
- 0:26Speaker 1: use a cold wallet. First of all, how are you
- 0:28Speaker 1: guys not getting into self custody? That's what I want
- 0:30Speaker 1: to know. One of the ways you can do that
- 0:32Speaker 1: is jump over to Tangum. Tangum you can actually get
- 0:35Speaker 1: yield inside your wallets and it's very easy to set up.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Just go to tangent dot com. Use our link. It's
- 0:41Speaker 1: going to give you a little bit of a discount.
- 0:44Speaker 1: You can start your whole self custody role and then
- 0:47Speaker 1: you can start to take benefits and advantages of DeFi.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Very secure and easy setup, so check it out. I
- 0:53Speaker 1: want to go to a clip here from ECC that
- 0:55Speaker 1: kind of leads this off, and the first thing we
- 0:58Speaker 1: want to get into is how instantetions are actually degenerates.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Basically, institutions when they use real world assets on the blockchain,
- 1:07Speaker 2: they optimize for a high yield, so they're not putting
- 1:11Speaker 2: things on the blockchain or holding these assets on the
- 1:14Speaker 2: blockchain to have like a safe haven in of the horizon.
- 1:18Speaker 2: This institutional product, you know, how much bigger ten percent
- 1:22Speaker 2: API product is versus these sort of t bill exposures
- 1:28Speaker 2: that you have on the right side here this is centrifuge.
- 1:32Speaker 2: So they have one point five billion put on the blockchain,
- 1:35Speaker 2: but they only have twelve million of all of this
- 1:38Speaker 2: in the blockchain, And so why is that When there's
- 1:41Speaker 2: institutional holders on the other end, there's a lot of restrictions,
- 1:44Speaker 2: and then in general the liquidity is thin. But when
- 1:47Speaker 2: you can connect to these permissionless protocols like Morpho, you
- 1:52Speaker 2: do suck up a lot of these type of assets.
- 1:56Speaker 1: All of that is starting to lead into one major
- 1:59Speaker 1: move ethereum is making I put out a tweet on
- 2:02Speaker 1: this talking about remapping L two consolidation. This is of
- 2:05Speaker 1: course all coming from Ittallic an L one renaissance, which
- 2:09Speaker 1: is where I think we're going to truly see some
- 2:11Speaker 1: high value DeFi sing on main net and he put
- 2:14Speaker 1: out the statement of hey, eth no longer makes in
- 2:18Speaker 1: terms of the L two, is that the role in
- 2:19Speaker 1: ethereum no longer makes sense and we need a new
- 2:22Speaker 1: path forward. This is what's been kind of the focus
- 2:24Speaker 1: of what's going on at ECC. And I think when
- 2:27Speaker 1: you look at that, I've got a clip that I
- 2:29Speaker 1: want to jump to because this one goes into one
- 2:32Speaker 1: of the announcements, which is the EEZ announcement. Take a look.
- 2:36Speaker 3: So there's a reason why the average transaction fees came
- 2:39Speaker 3: down again, why they're no longer fifty dollars. So look
- 2:43Speaker 3: at the number of L two's kind of on the
- 2:45Speaker 3: same timeline. Today we have hundreds every two weeks and
- 2:50Speaker 3: new L two launches. It moved the execution largely off
- 2:56Speaker 3: main net. We use zero knowledge.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Proofs that in the last month, I'm talking the last
- 3:01Speaker 4: month literally, this has advanced a lot the performance.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Okay, since we are able to prove blocks in real time.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The world says it's not possible.
- 3:12Speaker 3: The builder pushes on, He.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Strikes the keys with all his heart.
- 3:20Speaker 3: Is to you, builder is to ease.
- 3:27Speaker 1: So that's a good one. I like the lego side
- 3:30Speaker 1: of that. The ethereum economic zone is what it boils
- 3:33Speaker 1: down to. There's a good post out there that kind
- 3:35Speaker 1: of breaks it down. This is going to be the
- 3:37Speaker 1: L two area where we're going to start to see
- 3:39Speaker 1: a lot of these kind of things take place. They
- 3:41Speaker 1: had another another clip there at the event that gets
- 3:45Speaker 1: into the demo itself and how L two bridging is
- 3:49Speaker 1: officially dead. Take a look at this one.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Let's look at a couple of examples, because I understand
- 3:54Speaker 3: this was really high level. Let's look at bridging uscs
- 3:58Speaker 3: on network one, you want to send them to network
- 4:00Speaker 3: to What you do is you go to the bridge
- 4:02Speaker 3: contract on the other network owes your token, so you
- 4:05Speaker 3: go there, you claim the tokens, and then you have
- 4:06Speaker 3: the tokens on the other network. That is how bridging
- 4:09Speaker 3: currently works in the etherio economic zone. What you can
- 4:12Speaker 3: do is you can just execute a transaction across both networks,
- 4:16Speaker 3: so you touch both states simultaneously. Example to liquidity, Currently
- 4:22Speaker 3: you have the same polls deployed on many different networks.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Arbitrage is kind of what barely stitches it back together
- 4:30Speaker 3: in the etherio economic zone. However, you still have all
- 4:33Speaker 3: of these various pulls on the various chains, but they
- 4:36Speaker 3: stop behaving like separate markets and they find the best
- 4:42Speaker 3: way to kind of set at your trade. And if
- 4:44Speaker 3: the liquidity for the token you're trading is better on
- 4:47Speaker 3: another easy network, kind of it routs it via that
- 4:50Speaker 3: network and then kind of loops it back. I give
- 4:52Speaker 3: you more examples. I hope you're ready.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Okay, all right, so you can kind of see they're
- 4:56Speaker 1: dropping quite a few things that are changing some of
- 4:58Speaker 1: the infrastructure around. AVE also announced their V four now alive,
- 5:04Speaker 1: and you look at that in comparison to where Ave's
- 5:07Speaker 1: insights right now. Look how fast this is starting to grow.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Just launching the key here, I think will be how
- 5:13Speaker 1: does this look in thirty days? What do we start
- 5:16Speaker 1: to see as some of the things roll out within
- 5:18Speaker 1: AVE V four. I think this is going to be
- 5:20Speaker 1: one of the bigger revelations that come out of ETHCC
- 5:24Speaker 1: and also why it might affect some of what we're
- 5:26Speaker 1: going to see around the EZ. All right, another clip here,
- 5:30Speaker 1: This is where AVE is about to be fully composable
- 5:34Speaker 1: through the EZ. Take a look.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Next example is composable finance. Say I have ETH on
- 5:40Speaker 3: chain A I want to stake it on another chain.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Then I want to borrow against it on another chain,
- 5:45Speaker 3: and I want to use that liquidity I just got today.
- 5:48Speaker 3: This is a bunch of steps with bridging in between
- 5:51Speaker 3: a delay and a failure risk at every step. It
- 5:55Speaker 3: will take you a long time. In media economic zone,
- 5:59Speaker 3: you can touch upon all of the estates in a
- 6:02Speaker 3: single transaction, so all of this can happen in a
- 6:05Speaker 3: single block. It also allows completely new mechanisms. Say you
- 6:10Speaker 3: have a PRODUCTO like AVE. Okay, today, Aves deployed on
- 6:14Speaker 3: many different networks, and the AVE deployment always sees the
- 6:19Speaker 3: tokens that you have on that network, and you can
- 6:22Speaker 3: borrow against them. It's capital inefficient because AVE doesn't see
- 6:26Speaker 3: you entire balance. It just sees what's on that network.
- 6:29Speaker 3: In principle, kind of, as soon as AVE understands what
- 6:32Speaker 3: the state of the other easy networks is, you can
- 6:36Speaker 3: now borrow against your one collateral base. It's all possible
- 6:40Speaker 3: because it's synchronously composable.
- 6:45Speaker 1: So that would be a pretty big deal for AVE,
- 6:47Speaker 1: and I think in general, I think for lending on crypto.
- 6:50Speaker 1: The real question though, is when does all this take place.
- 6:53Speaker 1: They actually reveal some of that Take a look.
- 6:55Speaker 3: This isn't just theoretical. Okay, you just saw it. Will
- 6:58Speaker 3: give the demo from a contract on L one. He
- 7:01Speaker 3: called a contract on L two, reverted back to L
- 7:05Speaker 3: one and kind of completed the loop. You have seen
- 7:09Speaker 3: that it works. All the major block builders on board, Titan,
- 7:12Speaker 3: Beaver and Flashpots, all the depths, cow save Ave, Spark, Monarium, Xtox,
- 7:21Speaker 3: and so on. They are all founding members of this.
- 7:24Speaker 3: This will be available from day one and may net
- 7:29Speaker 3: will be pretty soon sometime this summer.
- 7:34Speaker 1: All right, there you have pretty soon sometime this summer. Now.
- 7:37Speaker 1: One other thing that got revealed here I think is
- 7:39Speaker 1: around x stox. This was a statement around whether if
- 7:42Speaker 1: eth was going to Nasdak or Nasdak is coming to Ethereum. Well,
- 7:46Speaker 1: this is what they had to say.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Take a look, Nasdak is coming on chain. They saw
- 7:51Speaker 4: what we were doing and they said, we want to
- 7:54Speaker 4: be a part of this. Nasdak is building their tokenization
- 7:58Speaker 4: framework that is different than what x stocks is. They
- 8:01Speaker 4: want to build a permission chain that they can permission
- 8:04Speaker 4: token that they can control within a walled garden. Great,
- 8:09Speaker 4: well we're going to do with x stocs is allow
- 8:11Speaker 4: that token to come into the xtox ecosystem and be
- 8:16Speaker 4: interoperable as a DeFi token.
- 8:19Speaker 1: All right, So you can see a lot of things
- 8:22Speaker 1: being revealed, and it really kind of is mapping the
- 8:25Speaker 1: new financial system. When you look at some of the
- 8:28Speaker 1: hot topics during each SEC, it was really permission versus
- 8:32Speaker 1: permissionless some of those tempo Canton a permission chain and figure.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And as you look at some of the heat that's
- 8:40Speaker 1: been going on around Canton, Ethan kind of hit on
- 8:42Speaker 1: it right here. Canton is what you get if a
- 8:44Speaker 1: prometheum was run by people whose competence match their narcissism. Ooh,
- 8:49Speaker 1: the strikes are coming out hot. I want to go
- 8:52Speaker 1: to a clip around this because this gets into some
- 8:54Speaker 1: other things that I think are interesting, and that is
- 8:57Speaker 1: the ZAMA CEO talking about Canton.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Do you remember the ninety cent cale intranets, right, that's
- 9:05Speaker 5: right right. Every company had like their own many internal
- 9:08Speaker 5: Internet and you could connect your private network to another
- 9:10Speaker 5: company's private network to exchange data. Does that sound familiar? Sure?
- 9:14Speaker 6: Right?
- 9:15Speaker 5: Then people created the Internet, one global public network that
- 9:19Speaker 5: everybody could use and with a SHGPS which brought encryption
- 9:23Speaker 5: in privacy to the Internet, you could able to use
- 9:26Speaker 5: it for financial transactions, for commerce, and today nobody's using
- 9:29Speaker 5: an intranet anymore. The Internet actually one the reason why
- 9:33Speaker 5: people use intranets at the time was privacy and security.
- 9:38Speaker 5: But once the Internet offered that, people migrated to the Internet.
- 9:41Speaker 5: We're going to see exactly the same with institutional finance.
- 9:44Speaker 5: They're all going to move to public permission less blockchain
- 9:47Speaker 5: encrypted using technologies like FAG or why not ZK.
- 9:52Speaker 1: That's a good explanation by by Zama, and I think
- 9:57Speaker 1: for most people they understand that, and they also understand
- 9:59Speaker 1: the evolution of words technology has kind of come from.
- 10:01Speaker 1: And I think privacy is the point that he's making
- 10:04Speaker 1: right there. And it's also the point that I know
- 10:06Speaker 1: Canton and others make around this when it comes to ZK.
- 10:09Speaker 1: But here is what privacy will look like very soon.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Singer's composibility also allows things that we genuinely do not
- 10:19Speaker 3: have today. Your private identity on a privacy preserving chain
- 10:23Speaker 3: doesn't have to be EVM. This is all call based,
- 10:27Speaker 3: so kind of you could have it on asteg or
- 10:28Speaker 3: wherever you like, so your private identity never leaves the
- 10:32Speaker 3: privacy chain, just the proof you no longer need to
- 10:36Speaker 3: replicate your identity across every single network or kind of
- 10:40Speaker 3: use a trusted that party.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Very powerful, and that is something that is accelerating quickly
- 10:46Speaker 1: coming fast within the network. Other things that are coming
- 10:50Speaker 1: fast as post quantum ethereum. They even have a roadmap
- 10:54Speaker 1: in place. If you go over to pqetherum dot or
- 10:58Speaker 1: you can learn more about this and hit that view roadmap.
- 11:00Speaker 1: You can kind of see some of the layouts of
- 11:02Speaker 1: what they've got planned. And it seems like it's much
- 11:04Speaker 1: faster or coming much faster than I think a lot
- 11:06Speaker 1: of people anticipated. And if you look at this right here,
- 11:10Speaker 1: it's called EIP eighty one forty one. This is decoupling
- 11:13Speaker 1: accounts from fixed signature schemes and this would provide a
- 11:16Speaker 1: new migration path to a post quantum secure signature scheme.
- 11:22Speaker 1: So much faster, I think, maybe quicker than I think
- 11:25Speaker 1: even what we've anticipated around this. So big news all
- 11:29Speaker 1: on ECC. This is just beginning of the conference. Likely
- 11:33Speaker 1: to see a lot more news coming out. I want
- 11:34Speaker 1: to play one more clip for you, which is Morpho
- 11:37Speaker 1: revealing a new fixed rate lending platform.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Take a look so you can see that fixed rate
- 11:43Speaker 6: markets are the primitive that we think is going to
- 11:47Speaker 6: scale the DeFi space, and this is missing at the moment.
- 11:51Speaker 6: This is more for TBA so to be announced. I'm
- 11:54Speaker 6: not going to lig the name, but we've built lending
- 11:59Speaker 6: prot coal where anyone can on Earth can like make
- 12:04Speaker 6: and create offers where you can say, hey, I want
- 12:08Speaker 6: to lend my USDC to those bunch of people at
- 12:12Speaker 6: that rate, and maybe you can specify a range of rates.
- 12:17Speaker 6: You can actually create broad offers and you can update
- 12:21Speaker 6: every day like your offers every minutes if you want,
- 12:24Speaker 6: depending on the markets.
- 12:27Speaker 1: This is gonna be awesome I think for lending, especially
- 12:31Speaker 1: in stable coins, and the ability to modulate the offer
- 12:34Speaker 1: as needed. I can't wait till MOREPHO drops a little
- 12:37Speaker 1: bit more news about that. We're gonna be watching ECC
- 12:40Speaker 1: this week. I anticipate big stuff is coming. If you
