- 0:19Speaker 1: You're here for a good time, but not a long time.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Is that what's written on the pillow and Blanche's bedroom? Yes, hey, kids,
- 0:30Speaker 2: welcome back.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Hie did you miss us? I missed you? Not you
- 0:39Speaker 1: over there? You?
- 0:40Speaker 2: Yeah? You you with the hair?
- 0:43Speaker 1: I like you with the face. Yeah, let's do this.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Hey, speaking of things we should do, let's introduce.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What introduce?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Let's introduce. Let's introduce our guest today, the one the
- 0:58Speaker 2: only you know him, you love him. You bought me
- 1:00Speaker 2: this cute little turtle, as well as my sturgeon who's
- 1:03Speaker 2: in my bedroom. Fill me.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Hi, everybody, welcome, so excited to finally have you on.
- 1:12Speaker 3: You've been on our bucket list of guests.
- 1:15Speaker 4: So days off don't seem to align with your recording schedules.
- 1:20Speaker 4: So luckily they called off work today.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So they called off work.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Yes, what what does that?
- 1:28Speaker 4: I get a day off free paid?
- 1:32Speaker 1: They didn't have anything for you to work on.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Uh yeah, that's we're in what is called it's the switchover.
- 1:39Speaker 4: They're generally changing model years there.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 1:44Speaker 4: The assembly plants that we supply have been down for
- 1:47Speaker 4: two weeks. On one of that phone call, Oh yeah,
- 1:55Speaker 4: I'll take an extra Saturday paid.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, impossibly, not a problem.
- 2:01Speaker 4: No, I'll come in. Yeah.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Can I scrub the toilets or something for eight hours?
- 2:07Speaker 2: Can I just come sit there and stare at the
- 2:08Speaker 2: work I'm not doing? So I'll tell you where being
- 2:15Speaker 2: called out for your shift, because something like that's going
- 2:17Speaker 2: on is wonderful Disney. That's the same relief you feel
- 2:26Speaker 2: when they're like, hey, we don't mean genday, we're overstaffed.
- 2:30Speaker 2: That like almost never happens. When it does, you're like, whoa,
- 2:34Speaker 2: that was amazing. But it's less fun from when I
- 2:38Speaker 2: hear when that happens at the course place, because the
- 2:41Speaker 2: course just I mean it's course, but they brew other stuff.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You get beers at the end of your day if
- 2:48Speaker 2: you work, when you're done, you get to go sit
- 2:50Speaker 2: in there like the taste room and drink free beer.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I think you get like two per shift.
- 2:56Speaker 4: That'll drive home.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Yeah right, maybe have it at lunch.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I don't know if you heard the name of what
- 3:03Speaker 2: I said. It was Cores, So it's like three percent alcohol.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Abby could drive home after two pints of course, and
- 3:10Speaker 2: she weighs five pounds.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Excuse me, This is basically water but i'd like to
- 3:18Speaker 1: catch a buzz.
- 3:24Speaker 4: That's after smelling it all day. You might not want
- 3:27Speaker 4: to be like okay or two.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, like I'm fine, you got a new flavor.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I'll try that. That's it.
- 3:34Speaker 3: It's like the people that work at the movie theaters.
- 3:36Speaker 3: You offer them popcorn, they're like, oh, no, thank you.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I mean that one's not true for me.
- 3:45Speaker 2: I don't know. I've hit my popcorn a year. I
- 3:49Speaker 2: had some when I went to see Oh Hi, uh
- 3:53Speaker 2: you know, weeks ago, and it was fine.
- 4:00Speaker 1: It started making me sick. I don't know if there's
- 4:03Speaker 1: something in it. It doesn't agree with my tummy anymore.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Do you have diverticulatus? No, that's what I have. I
- 4:10Speaker 4: can't eat popcorn anymore.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Oh, you can't eat like strawberries. You can't eat nuts.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Huh nuts, Since strawberries are okay for some reason, I
- 4:19Speaker 4: don't have an issue with them. Seeds, Yeah, but yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 4: I can't.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Diverticulatus sounds rough it you get pain, right, Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Luckily I have a very slight case, so it's if
- 4:33Speaker 4: I do eat it, it's not too bad. But I
- 4:35Speaker 4: just avoid it just to avoid the problems.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I was incorrectly those with diverticulates many years ago.
- 4:46Speaker 1: But that's fun for you.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't eat a lot of things for a
- 4:50Speaker 2: lot of time. But as it turns out later a
- 4:53Speaker 2: different doctor they did like a full record, said that
- 4:56Speaker 2: because I get so dehydrated from my birthday rock scene,
- 4:59Speaker 2: that I'm just actually susceptible to uh gasternitis. So I
- 5:05Speaker 2: will get like the inflamed infected, just intestines because something
- 5:11Speaker 2: in there disagrees with me. And so it's it's similar
- 5:15Speaker 2: pains reticulators. But but I just need a little penicillin.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Well I can't take them.
- 5:22Speaker 1: But oh you're allergic to penicillin.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I just get hives. But like it's itchy, so they
- 5:30Speaker 2: stray away from it.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Let's avoid that.
- 5:33Speaker 1: And I don't know if you if you California girls
- 5:36Speaker 1: would recognize. But Bill is recording from what's called the
- 5:39Speaker 1: basement underneath the house.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, so you've seen one
- 5:49Speaker 2: I have. Now, does your basement have a free standing
- 5:53Speaker 2: toilet and a shower next to it?
- 5:55Speaker 5: Because my grandparents' basement it looks kind of unmils.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Yeah, it's on finished, but my son's got a computer
- 6:01Speaker 4: gaming systems, all that set up over there. I'm in
- 6:04Speaker 4: my wife's crafting area.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Missus mannis.
- 6:09Speaker 2: She hasn't accomplished, she's dare I say, better than me?
- 6:12Speaker 2: And many modalities of draft like truly, she showed me
- 6:18Speaker 2: stuff that one day when we were zooming, and I
- 6:21Speaker 2: was like, oh.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I've never had the pleasure.
- 6:25Speaker 4: You are fantastic at what you do.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So yeah, when I do it?
- 6:35Speaker 4: Mm hmm, it's okay. I procrastinate a lot.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Too, mm hmm. What's been going on in your world?
- 6:42Speaker 2: Bill?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Just busy with between work and driving my daughter everywhere?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Is just she's driving you crazy?
- 6:52Speaker 4: Yes?
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yes, so you're both driving then?
- 6:56Speaker 4: Right? Yeah, well she is driving because I'm teaching her
- 6:59Speaker 4: to drive. Oh no hours, she's seventeen. She's foteen hours
- 7:05Speaker 4: away from getting her driver's license.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Oh that, what's that like?
- 7:10Speaker 1: You're nervous?
- 7:11Speaker 4: Oh no, she's actually a really good driver for how
- 7:13Speaker 4: little she knows.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I'm a good driver.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Yeah when you say it like that, for how little
- 7:18Speaker 2: she knows. Yeah, a woman you know, no, wow.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Expirs driver compared to her father that drives two to
- 7:30Speaker 4: three hours daily.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Sure, sure your commute is too long?
- 7:36Speaker 2: Ago? Yeah, I don't love that for you.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yeah, can you can move?
- 7:40Speaker 4: It's an hour forty five minutes or an hour or
- 7:44Speaker 4: forty five minutes. Yeah, right, depending on traffic. I've been
- 7:47Speaker 4: doing it for twenty years at this point.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I'm because then when you get out of work and
- 7:51Speaker 1: you're like cooked, You're like, I still got to sit
- 7:53Speaker 1: in this car for an hour.
- 7:55Speaker 4: It's the freeways are empty. I'm just I'm used to
- 7:59Speaker 4: it usually takes.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Home because you don't work like normal hours. Yeah.
- 8:05Speaker 4: I think he works at night, right, Yeah, five thirty
- 8:08Speaker 4: pm to five thirty am.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Oh, so it's after twelve hour day you get in
- 8:12Speaker 1: the car.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but you should get a beer before Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 2: drink two course. He'll be fine.
- 8:21Speaker 4: I will say, I get a two hour break during
- 8:23Speaker 4: the day.
- 8:24Speaker 1: That's nice.
- 8:25Speaker 4: And my job's not exactly demanding. It's I have a
- 8:31Speaker 4: job that you have after twenty five years.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but still that's I'd be like, I just want
- 8:36Speaker 1: to go home. I've got to get there.
- 8:39Speaker 3: He gets in his car to drive home, He turns
- 8:41Speaker 3: on on the LINAI and we keep him company, right yep,
- 8:45Speaker 3: for a portion.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Of his drive.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I like how you made.
- 8:53Speaker 2: How many miles? Is it for you to take that
- 8:56Speaker 2: like hour drive since the Yeah, it's.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Fifty three miles.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Yeah, if it makes you feel it all better. I
- 9:06Speaker 2: used to live eight miles from where I work in California,
- 9:09Speaker 2: and it would take me almost an hour and a half.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Holy, that's more frustrating than just having to go. I'd
- 9:17Speaker 1: rather do what Bill's doing.
- 9:20Speaker 2: There was no freeway for like eighty percent of my drive.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I just had to fight my way through the Orange
- 9:25Speaker 2: County grid. And all of Orange County is set up
- 9:28Speaker 2: like Manhattan, where it's a perfect gride.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I could see why there's road rage.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I would get home and I'd be like girl
- 9:38Speaker 2: dinner when I had that job, was like I'm gonna
- 9:42Speaker 2: eat this piece of string cheese and who fucked? Like
- 9:44Speaker 2: I could not be asked or I couldn't be asked
- 9:52Speaker 2: actually make food because I was so exhausted from my
- 9:55Speaker 2: long journey home.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you probably could have walked it faster or biked it.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. Our listeners haven't seen me, but
- 10:04Speaker 2: you guys have. I think we know. I couldn't have
- 10:06Speaker 2: walked that faster. I do like a twenty minute mile.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So the Midwest hour drive is very different than the
- 10:14Speaker 1: southern California hour drive get a lot further in the Midwest.
- 10:19Speaker 2: It's beautiful.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I average eighty miles an hour.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Yeah, plants and things to look at, you know, right, Well,
- 10:31Speaker 2: sure in California, you're like, oh, look, here's another fucking
- 10:35Speaker 2: seven eleven. Let me sit on this corner for like
- 10:38Speaker 2: ten minutes. Still the light changes.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Actually, I guess.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Here's a guy tweaking on who knows what drug.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, I literally watched a lady take a shit
- 10:47Speaker 2: behind a bus stop one day on my way to work,
- 10:50Speaker 2: and I was like, and I remember I because said
- 10:52Speaker 2: something about it, like I was like, you know what,
- 10:55Speaker 2: I wasn't planning on watching almost lady take a shit
- 10:57Speaker 2: in front of me. And I got so much shit
- 11:00Speaker 2: for that shit because people were like, homeless, what she's
- 11:06Speaker 2: supposed to do? And I was like, you don't understand.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I was on like ball at State College in Anaheim.
- 11:13Speaker 2: It is like one of the largest busiest intersections, like
- 11:16Speaker 2: a couple blocks from Disneyland, and this lady was just
- 11:20Speaker 2: shitting on the corner.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Surprised. I haven't seen that more few so I don't
- 11:23Speaker 1: know if they're finding public bathrooms or they're better at
- 11:26Speaker 1: hiding it. But I'm surprised I haven't seen that more.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Are the homeless people that live behind the seven eleven
- 11:32Speaker 2: that's right by my apartment complex. They just all live
- 11:35Speaker 2: in the trees behind the seven eleven and they go
- 11:37Speaker 2: to the bathroom in their area. This lady was before
- 11:41Speaker 2: the homeless problem was like what it is now, and
- 11:43Speaker 2: she was just I'm telling you, inches from the curb
- 11:46Speaker 2: on the street.
- 11:47Speaker 1: I mean wow, She's like, yeah.
- 11:50Speaker 2: She probably could have shipped on a car if she
- 11:52Speaker 2: wanted to, Like, that's how close to the road.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Shame.
- 11:55Speaker 2: And so it was just like it was a shot.
- 11:57Speaker 2: It's different.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And you're like, madam, do you want a napkin? Do
- 12:00Speaker 1: you need to wipe?
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah? I don't have any. Kristin and I hit you
- 12:04Speaker 2: ball in March.
- 12:07Speaker 1: You're gonna get a rash, Madam, don't just pull your
- 12:09Speaker 1: pants up.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Here's some wet wipes.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah, give her some wet wipes, she says in March,
- 12:15Speaker 2: like I leave my house, I have like five thousand miles.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Bitched about McDonald's didn't give you what you wanted. You
- 12:21Speaker 1: could ask for a bunch of napkins.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, hold the hash brown give me some napkins.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Oh, what's.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Better in your coat? Your glove box?
- 12:34Speaker 2: They're going in the glove park set in the side
- 12:37Speaker 2: they're going, and then you see the lady and very aggressive. Also,
- 12:43Speaker 2: now people that listen to our show are like, she
- 12:46Speaker 2: ate terrible McDonald's two weeks in a row. That's so upsetting.
- 12:49Speaker 1: No, this was last week's McDonald's.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Oh so that lazy fuck left napkins on her desk
- 12:57Speaker 2: all week.
- 12:59Speaker 1: Better food out like Blanche fuck Blanche woa bold stance.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Since this show, I've never I never noticed that they
- 13:11Speaker 4: left the food out for everybody until I started listening
- 13:13Speaker 4: to your guys' shoes.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Just the creamer, the milk forget everything out.
- 13:25Speaker 1: And then just leave it goodbye.
- 13:27Speaker 4: Every show.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:30Speaker 4: The only show I think I've ever seen them put
- 13:32Speaker 4: away food was Roseanne.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah Roseanne. They would like just make a sandwich.
- 13:38Speaker 1: You never see them eating like normal people where it's
- 13:41Speaker 1: like we're not having a big meal, we're just having
- 13:43Speaker 1: a sandwich.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Or they'd have like a giant amount of takeout.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's yeah.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I just gonna say that wasn't really the biggest problem,
- 13:57Speaker 2: the biggest problem, but.
- 14:01Speaker 4: I mean, after thirty years of drug abuse? What do
- 14:03Speaker 4: you expect?
- 14:05Speaker 2: I read an interesting article about that. I know this
- 14:07Speaker 2: isn't the Roseanne Podcast, but I just literally yesterday read
- 14:11Speaker 2: an article about John Goodman saying that they had an
- 14:14Speaker 2: incredible time when they filmed the first series. They didn't
- 14:18Speaker 2: really interact more than just on set when they started
- 14:20Speaker 2: what is now The Connors, but that he hasn't spoken
- 14:23Speaker 2: to her in eight years, that she's just not interested
- 14:29Speaker 2: in anybody, that she went off on her crazy craziness,
- 14:34Speaker 2: and the interviewers like, well, what's your relationship like now
- 14:38Speaker 2: that she's said some CONTROVERSI He's like, I don't fucking know.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I'm doctor.
- 14:42Speaker 1: How fuck would that bitch?
- 14:44Speaker 4: Now he seems like the least problematic out of anybody
- 14:47Speaker 4: on that show. Yeah, yeah, it's.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Just just I love him. I just love him so much.
- 14:52Speaker 2: He's god damn national treasure.
- 14:54Speaker 4: Yeah it rose Ane's the least of what he's done it.
- 14:58Speaker 4: He's so good in everything us.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Welcome to the John Goodman Podcast.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Yeah, we're starting that next week. All right.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I wanted to ask Bill, did you watch The Golden
- 15:14Speaker 1: Girls was a younger man.
- 15:17Speaker 4: That was must ce TV for my family. It's nice.
- 15:20Speaker 4: That was. I even remember watching, uh, being excited for
- 15:25Speaker 4: Golden Palace, coming out with watching it at my grand
- 15:27Speaker 4: with my grandma's.
- 15:29Speaker 1: The last season we don't talk about.
- 15:33Speaker 2: We will watch. We have well. I was gonna say
- 15:38Speaker 2: when we wrapped seven, when we wrapped the seven seasons
- 15:42Speaker 2: of Golden Girls, I did the math e vain. It's
- 15:45Speaker 2: going to be like three years or something. But when
- 15:47Speaker 2: we get through all of those episodes, we will watch
- 15:50Speaker 2: Golden Palace. I demand it.
- 15:52Speaker 4: You're going to do Empty Nest.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I think that's the lot to move also because that's
- 15:57Speaker 1: shin off.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Yeah, let's in off to that. Let's Golden Palas and
- 16:02Speaker 2: then Empty Nest. We will do this podcast longer than
- 16:06Speaker 2: anything ever. We will be there. We have to change.
- 16:10Speaker 1: Will it be on the Luni Empty Nest?
- 16:14Speaker 4: Transition to or mid Modern?
- 16:17Speaker 2: Uh?
- 16:17Speaker 4: What is it? I don't know why? No, the new
- 16:22Speaker 4: one with Nathan Lane.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Mid Century we all enjoy that is.
- 16:29Speaker 5: I hope we get a season two that show.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I hope so I'd watch it.
- 16:35Speaker 2: Those people are funny. You know. I had the audacity
- 16:37Speaker 2: to reach out to Nathan Lynn on Facebook one day.
- 16:40Speaker 1: How dare you?
- 16:40Speaker 2: Because I am in so many circles of different like
- 16:44Speaker 2: friends from the many hats I have worn. I have
- 16:47Speaker 2: a tremendous amount of friends that do Broadway theater and
- 16:50Speaker 2: then also do like l A theater. So I had
- 16:53Speaker 2: like eight friends in common with Nathan Mean's personal page
- 16:57Speaker 2: and I was like, uh, I got the balls for this,
- 17:01Speaker 2: and he said him a friend with us, and it's
- 17:03Speaker 2: just like sitting there unread, and I was like, truthfully,
- 17:06Speaker 2: why did I think that super successful Nathan Lane was
- 17:09Speaker 2: just hanging out on Facebook looking to see if he
- 17:11Speaker 2: had mutual connections?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Yeah, how do you even know it's really him?
- 17:15Speaker 4: If he even runs it?
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, yeah. Also, I'm gonna do the same thing
- 17:20Speaker 2: to Alan tu.
- 17:21Speaker 5: Dick by the way, because he might ed you.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I want him on our show. I sent the girls
- 17:28Speaker 2: a clip yesterday of this YouTube podcast it's called Last Meal.
- 17:33Speaker 2: I'm watching him on the show, and I was like,
- 17:35Speaker 2: we have to get him on this show. He was
- 17:37Speaker 2: the most I've always loved him. I met him when
- 17:40Speaker 2: I went to see spam ala I have a picture
- 17:43Speaker 2: with him, and he was so much better than Hanka's area.
- 17:46Speaker 2: And Hanka's area originated the role that he had in
- 17:49Speaker 2: spam Alot but he played all those like he was
- 17:51Speaker 2: Lancelot and then all those other Sidis characters, and he
- 17:56Speaker 2: was phenomenal in that and I'm just I couldn't be
- 17:59Speaker 2: more before him. And spoiler alert, one of the girls
- 18:03Speaker 2: on this podcast brought this like fucking pile of all
- 18:07Speaker 2: of her firefly shit. It just like laid it out
- 18:11Speaker 2: on the table and he was like, I don't even
- 18:13Speaker 2: have this stuff anymore, and like it was.
- 18:15Speaker 1: It's welcome to the Allen Tutic portion of the John
- 18:20Speaker 1: Goodman Podcast. Fuck, why don't we talk about today's episode?
- 18:26Speaker 4: Yes?
- 18:27Speaker 2: What?
- 18:28Speaker 1: Season two, episode eleven is called Twas the Nightmare Before Christmas?
- 18:35Speaker 2: You?
- 18:38Speaker 1: The original air date was December twentieth, nineteen eighty six,
- 18:43Speaker 1: directed by Terry Hughes, written by Barry Fonaro and Morton
- 18:47Speaker 1: Nathan Old mort What do you think Twas the Nightmare
- 18:52Speaker 1: before Christmas is gonna be about?
- 18:57Speaker 4: Is this their first Christmas together and they don't know
- 19:01Speaker 4: how to celebrate it together, So everybody has their own ideas,
- 19:04Speaker 4: so everybody's fighting over it.
- 19:07Speaker 1: I like it.
- 19:11Speaker 3: There's some kind of natural disaster. It's not a snowstorm.
- 19:15Speaker 3: It doesn't snow, and I don't know anything about Florida
- 19:17Speaker 3: climate and it's hot. H maybe maybe there's a hurricane
- 19:21Speaker 3: or something that happens the night before Christmas and so
- 19:24Speaker 3: it delays all the family members and people from coming
- 19:27Speaker 3: into town.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Okay, I Ward, Miami isness.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I'll say it thrice Miami it is. Who will the
- 19:40Speaker 1: villain be? You guys, who would be the biggest grinch?
- 19:52Speaker 4: A grinch wise? Dorothy very dear, so honest and true.

- 20:20Speaker 2: glasses and the kiki. Here.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Hey, I'm pantsl Saron.
- 20:27Speaker 2: This is Stevie and I'm Aggie, and we.
- 20:29Speaker 6: Are because fuck you. That's why the podcast it's all
- 20:32Speaker 6: about playing games and having fun. Our games are mostly
- 20:34Speaker 6: based on British panel shows or British game shows, but
- 20:37Speaker 6: we'll play just about anything that catches our attention and imagination.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Our show is all about laugh So please come by
- 20:43Speaker 6: and have a great time.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Why because fuck you?
- 20:47Speaker 4: That's why?

- 20:56Speaker 2: it was heartfelt, it was fun, little of everything.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a couple of different, very different acts.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys want to just jump seemed prepped and ready.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Let's jump in.
- 21:16Speaker 7: Splash.
- 21:18Speaker 2: So Bill, welcome to the show. As a first time
- 21:21Speaker 2: guest on the show. I'm want to explain the rules
- 21:23Speaker 2: of the game to you. Please wait for me to
- 21:25Speaker 2: finish the entire question before you buzz in and the buzzer.
- 21:29Speaker 2: As you know from being a loyal listener to our show,
- 21:32Speaker 2: is your name? So you want to say your name?
- 21:36Speaker 2: Then whoever says it? I I can't even right now.
- 21:45Speaker 1: No one ever say that before say what?
- 21:48Speaker 2: Yeah, don't say whatever the fuck you want to, but
- 21:51Speaker 2: we'll know it's they don't. Don't muppet flail. A few
- 21:55Speaker 2: weeks ago, Wesley was here and she just kept flailing,
- 22:01Speaker 2: like to say your name, idiot.
- 22:03Speaker 1: She was excited.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Also, just you guys know, a little update on the
- 22:07Speaker 2: Westley thing. She is super busy, you know, being on TV.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I don't. So she has reached out. She apologized that
- 22:16Speaker 2: she didn't finish Big Getting a Little Lady in time, but
- 22:19Speaker 2: she will still be providing us like a review of
- 22:23Speaker 2: that episode because she elicited that one. Yeah, so I
- 22:27Speaker 2: told her we'd play.
- 22:28Speaker 1: It in four years when we get it. Yeah, that's fine.
- 22:34Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell her you said, please do.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Hello, Please do it, Hello, Please do.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Going back and watching this show, though, I'm like, this
- 22:45Speaker 4: is why I'm a sarcastic asshole. I grew up just
- 22:48Speaker 4: watching this, and I don't know why I kept getting
- 22:51Speaker 4: smacked in the back of the head by my grandparents.
- 22:53Speaker 1: This the Muppet show, Mystery Science matters.
- 22:57Speaker 3: The wit and the teasing and the come so it's
- 23:00Speaker 3: just very snarky but lovable.
- 23:03Speaker 1: It kind of made us think, growing up in the eighties,
- 23:05Speaker 1: that's how you were supposed to talk to adults, and
- 23:08Speaker 1: then that's why you'd get like grounded. How dare you?
- 23:12Speaker 4: I always I eventually learned to say stuff away like away.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Friends out of swat range.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, no, my friend like Hank close friends, hangs
- 23:23Speaker 4: out with my family. He even complains to this day
- 23:25Speaker 4: that you know, he got hit more than I did
- 23:27Speaker 4: because I would say something so.
- 23:30Speaker 1: They'd reach over and spect him.
- 23:32Speaker 4: She goes like, what's it? Do you think? The same
- 23:41Speaker 4: in the two thousands and.
- 23:42Speaker 1: They make a show about that hitting someone's kids.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I think they did. Sorry, guys, just for a second,
- 23:48Speaker 2: I realized that our producer had laughed, but she's probably
- 23:52Speaker 2: I'm Maddy.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Oh, that's okay.
- 23:54Speaker 3: She checks on her. In thirty forty five minutes, she'll
- 23:56Speaker 3: still be dead.
- 23:57Speaker 2: So it's fine.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Oh take your poking stick.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Excuse me, I'm getting your cheesecake from the other room.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Oh my god. One time, one time we have a guest,
- 24:13Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't know where my dog is. They're like,
- 24:16Speaker 2: you should check on her, and I'm like, she'll still
- 24:17Speaker 2: be dead later. Let's just finish the episode. And they're like, no,
- 24:21Speaker 2: you should check on her. So now this is a
- 24:23Speaker 2: thing that we're going to bring up every week. If
- 24:27Speaker 2: Abby leaves them. I feel like I got legally obligated
- 24:33Speaker 2: to check on my senior citizen.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Don go to a wellness check on your dog. It's okay,
- 24:38Speaker 4: it's fitting that on one and I had a silver alert.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Is that a thing? A silver alert like an amber alert?
- 24:48Speaker 4: Ye?
- 24:49Speaker 1: I never heard that one.
- 24:53Speaker 2: You just.
- 24:56Speaker 1: Don't you love dog smudge on your glasses?
- 25:00Speaker 2: Yeah? You should see the passenger signed windows.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Doggy knows ye so much like they're doing a little
- 25:08Speaker 1: spider graph.
- 25:11Speaker 2: Yeah. If she ever passes away, I'm gonna sell that
- 25:15Speaker 2: piece of glass that was like a puppy Picasso. It's
- 25:21Speaker 2: I've seen it's gross.
- 25:23Speaker 1: You know it is washable. I don't know if you
- 25:25Speaker 1: knew that.
- 25:27Speaker 2: She's out. Did we start the queens get before?
- 25:36Speaker 1: No?
- 25:36Speaker 2: I do not?
- 25:39Speaker 1: Please?
- 25:39Speaker 2: Should we start?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Please do?
- 25:41Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 25:44Speaker 1: M hmmm mm hmmmmmmm hmmm.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Recap of the rules. Let me finish the question. Bill,
- 25:52Speaker 2: please say build to buzz In or will whenever you.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Prefer, William managed Junior.
- 26:01Speaker 2: This is what happens when I let friends come home show.
- 26:04Speaker 2: All right? What is the name of the mall Santa
- 26:09Speaker 2: that Blanche brings home?
- 26:11Speaker 1: Kristin?
- 26:14Speaker 2: This is gonna be a spicy one. I might keep
- 26:16Speaker 2: track of my own. Bill was hot on Kristin's tale.
- 26:20Speaker 2: All right, but Kristin you were for so Ed Kleckner.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Ooh you got last name? Honestly super impressed on that. Okay,
- 26:33Speaker 2: all right? What were the three wise men wearing in
- 26:40Speaker 2: the window display at bird Dimes?
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yep, I think you get this one.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, Well, I also just drew a tiny stump
- 26:53Speaker 2: on my sticky notes to keep track of when I
- 26:57Speaker 2: stump you, guys.
- 26:58Speaker 7: I love it.
- 26:59Speaker 2: It's a blueish it's a bluey reference. We'll call it
- 27:01Speaker 2: stump Fest. Henceforward oh, the answer is Ralph Lauren Ski Parkaes.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Now here's a no stump bonus.
- 27:11Speaker 4: We must have been talking.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Does anyone know what Birdine's is?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Gina, all right, cool? I assume it's a department store.
- 27:21Speaker 2: It is so. Burdin's was an American department store. It
- 27:24Speaker 2: was found in eighteen ninety eight by William Burdein or Birdine.
- 27:29Speaker 2: I'm not really sure. It operated exclusively in Florida. Its
- 27:34Speaker 2: flagship store was located in Miami. It evolved from a
- 27:38Speaker 2: carriage trade shop into a full line department store named
- 27:41Speaker 2: the Florida Store. That was its like nickname. And so
- 27:44Speaker 2: here's why it was important. You needed to notice. The
- 27:47Speaker 2: store was decorated with palm trees in the center of
- 27:50Speaker 2: the store, painted in pink and blue and other subtropical
- 27:54Speaker 2: colors and motifs. Chan was later purchased by a federated
- 28:00Speaker 2: apartment stores in nineteen fifty six and it was code
- 28:03Speaker 2: branded as Burneim's, mace Berdine's, Macy five. It was completely
- 28:10Speaker 2: dissolved and just absorbed into the Macy's brand, which is
- 28:14Speaker 2: interesting because Macy's was started good trivia. Yeah, anyway, I
- 28:20Speaker 2: was like when and then I looked up and I
- 28:22Speaker 2: was like, I can't un see all these things.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I don't know fashion, so I would just assumed it
- 28:27Speaker 1: was a well known store.
- 28:28Speaker 2: That.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Yeah, if you had said Hudsonce, I would have known that.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 2: The fact that it was called a nicknamed the Florida
- 28:36Speaker 2: Store because of the Florida of course, sounds like it
- 28:38Speaker 2: looked like the inside of the Golden Girls. Yeah.
- 28:41Speaker 1: I'm looking up photos on Google. There's like a blue
- 28:44Speaker 1: neon sign. I love it. It's very eighties and palm
- 28:49Speaker 1: trees out the front.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, so what let's move on. Sorry, thanks
- 28:56Speaker 2: for indulging my history meetings.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I appreciate any interest.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I used to teach people, teach me trace. It is
- 29:06Speaker 2: the thrice question because I.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Used the word questions or I'll say it.
- 29:12Speaker 2: So I'll say it thrice. What does Dorothy say when
- 29:16Speaker 2: Rose is done shaming the mal Santa and telling him
- 29:20Speaker 2: the only thing on his mind in uniform should be
- 29:24Speaker 2: giving people what they want for Christmas?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Tina and missus Kleckner?
- 29:32Speaker 2: Oh no, no, oh Bill, Yes, Bill, you don't have
- 29:39Speaker 2: to whisper it.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Sorry, please speak up for editing purposes. Yes, sorry, Bill,
- 29:45Speaker 1: thank you?
- 29:47Speaker 4: Yes, she was giving it to He was giving it
- 29:51Speaker 4: what she wanted.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yes, she says, I saw, Yeah, she says, yeah, he
- 29:58Speaker 2: was trying to love this list. Yeah all right, Bill,
- 30:03Speaker 2: good work, Bill, good job. How much was the doll
- 30:10Speaker 2: Sophia charged to Dorothy's credit card? Oh?
- 30:16Speaker 4: Eighty nine dollars.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I knew it, but he had already said, Bill.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Sorry, I jumped out.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I almost hadn't even finish speaking.
- 30:25Speaker 1: But it will be nice. Yeah, sorry your ass, Bill Man,
- 30:32Speaker 1: home wrecker, Luni wrecker.
- 30:40Speaker 2: Where's the true spirit of Christmas?
- 30:44Speaker 6: Oh?
- 30:45Speaker 1: Gina? Yes, Nieman Marcus Women's Department, third floor, Women's all right,
- 30:56Speaker 1: I've heard of Memon Marcus, but I don't know if
- 30:58Speaker 1: I've ever been in one.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Are they still reacts or it's like Nordstrum kind of Ye,
- 31:07Speaker 2: it's a bougie store.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and I wonder why I never get when Ford
- 31:11Speaker 1: re released the Pennies, Girl had a Marcus edition.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Oh it was overpriced.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it was at the rich sie it's on the
- 31:21Speaker 2: rich like didn't and Marcus on it? Although not at Christmas?
- 31:26Speaker 2: When do Saint Olaf residents drink eggnog while wearing casts
- 31:29Speaker 2: iron braziers? Wow? That was wild but Christen was first
- 31:37Speaker 2: Easter Easter, I like you said it. What does Rose
- 31:49Speaker 2: give Dorothy for Christmas? My god, you guys are on
- 31:56Speaker 2: top of it. But Pete uh Farley.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It's a handcarved syrup spicket for.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Tree Farley fastiat.
- 32:08Speaker 2: I feel like spigott is a I love that word.
- 32:12Speaker 1: It might be, but yeah, I know spiggott, Yeah yeah,
- 32:17Speaker 1: I usually like if you're looking for where to put
- 32:19Speaker 1: the hose on the outside of.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Apparently this is an eighties word versus anyway. Great. So
- 32:32Speaker 2: when does Dorothy say that that will come particularly come
- 32:36Speaker 2: in handy?
- 32:39Speaker 1: Gina?
- 32:40Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he was when she's lost in the woods?
- 32:47Speaker 1: Finish it? I can't well was she lost with that?
- 32:53Speaker 4: She needs syrup for pancakes?
- 32:56Speaker 1: There you go, Hm, I'll give you the assist.
- 33:02Speaker 2: This will come in handy next time. Shut up, look here,
- 33:14Speaker 2: God damn we want our guests to come back.
- 33:17Speaker 4: Christ Oh, I can handle it.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I'm the middle child, all right, twist nipples? Wait one?
- 33:23Speaker 2: All right? What what that got? Weird? What is blanches gift?
- 33:29Speaker 4: Kristen's who.
- 33:32Speaker 1: The man of blanches bodir? We're going to talk about that?
- 33:37Speaker 4: Oh?
- 33:37Speaker 3: I know, I have the rest of the lines that
- 33:39Speaker 3: I'm waiting just in case.
- 33:41Speaker 2: It's the questions, Yes, please don't give a hello, Please
- 33:46Speaker 2: don't hello, please don't. What does Sophia say in response
- 33:53Speaker 2: to the calendar? Kristen oh Bill was first that.
- 33:58Speaker 4: She's surprised she can walk after October?
- 34:03Speaker 1: Well walking, yeah, September close enough.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:10Speaker 2: I liked the way Dorothy examined that for such a
- 34:13Speaker 2: very long time.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Did you give it like a.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:16Speaker 1: Like when you check your watch and you don't know
- 34:18Speaker 1: what time it is, You're like, I gotta look at
- 34:20Speaker 1: that again.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Or are you checking your wrist and you don't have
- 34:23Speaker 3: a watch.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I'm not wearing a watch.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Next question, why do Blanche's ears perk up when Dorothy
- 34:33Speaker 2: begins to describe Christmas time in New York City? Sheas
- 34:39Speaker 2: are on fire today, but a speedy fireley got it.
- 34:44Speaker 1: It's a sin on every corner. We got to talk
- 34:47Speaker 1: about that too.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Wow, I want to unpack that weird that she has.
- 34:53Speaker 2: I tried to do a question on the Insane List,
- 34:57Speaker 2: but she was so overly dis ripped of the turn
- 35:01Speaker 2: ons early on that I was like, fuck it, I don't,
- 35:03Speaker 2: I don't. I can't rewind this anymore.
- 35:05Speaker 4: I I caught like a block right there. That's like,
- 35:08Speaker 4: let's not hear Grandma talk about fish.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Well, the two of the three women, she's only for
- 35:16Speaker 2: one set.
- 35:18Speaker 1: It looks terrible, but she's forty.
- 35:22Speaker 2: All right. Who who does Rose say that sant Olaf
- 35:27Speaker 2: tried to have start in a production of Christmas Carol.
- 35:32Speaker 4: Sorry, I had to jump the gun. I mean to
- 35:34Speaker 4: get all chicken cast?
- 35:39Speaker 2: Right?
- 35:41Speaker 1: Why would you run out on that story? Like? Tell
- 35:43Speaker 1: me more?
- 35:44Speaker 2: I want more?
- 35:45Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 35:48Speaker 2: I really wanted that story, particularly that story.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that needs to be a book, Like I mean,
- 35:56Speaker 1: we're gonna get the Henny Penny one where.
- 35:58Speaker 2: The chickens in any episode? Oh man, that's a good one.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Okay, sky is fall? What pres.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah? What movie did Rose's second patient, mister Thomas say
- 36:19Speaker 2: he lost all his money as a backer? Yes? Howard
- 36:25Speaker 2: the dog?
- 36:26Speaker 8: All right?
- 36:28Speaker 2: Yeah? The duck? That was the duck shade. It was
- 36:36Speaker 2: so weird.
- 36:37Speaker 1: It's a weird.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Mhm.
- 36:39Speaker 2: We're almost there. Stick with you, guys. Who does Blanche
- 36:43Speaker 2: say that she has been told she bears a striking
- 36:47Speaker 2: resemblance to.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yes, Cheryl Ladd from all right, this next.
- 36:57Speaker 2: One might be a stump, and I'm excited about it.
- 37:00Speaker 2: What is on the cover of the magazine that mister
- 37:04Speaker 2: Meyer is holding me?
- 37:06Speaker 1: I didn't fuck it.
- 37:07Speaker 5: Look you see.
- 37:09Speaker 2: It for like three minutes. He is clutching it the
- 37:12Speaker 2: way I hold my drinks like he's got the Love Island, Like.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I believe it. I just didn't catch it.
- 37:22Speaker 4: Recollection of it, but it's just it's not clicking. What
- 37:26Speaker 4: it is?
- 37:26Speaker 2: All right? Put a point in my stump. So there
- 37:31Speaker 2: was a man and a woman like embracing, and then
- 37:33Speaker 2: the covers of beautiful people and it was all green background.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Was it analoge?
- 37:40Speaker 2: It was like weirdly it was so weirdly fake. There
- 37:45Speaker 2: was so much lack of detail. I couldn't take my
- 37:47Speaker 2: eyes off of it. In the episode, I'll have.
- 37:51Speaker 1: To look at that again.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, two more questions. Let's get through this
- 37:55Speaker 2: and let's head into the trivia portion. So what gate
- 38:00Speaker 2: do the girls eventually end up at the Miami International Airport? Oh? Fuck?
- 38:07Speaker 2: Bill was first, but you guys were photo.
- 38:12Speaker 4: I thought Kristen was, but yeah, uh eighteen.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yep, yep, all right, final question, uh h. Anyone that
- 38:24Speaker 2: had close capturing on is going to have a slightly
- 38:29Speaker 2: easier time at this. But what song did Rose accidentally play? Oh?
- 38:37Speaker 4: Fuck Bill again, let's go surfy.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Christ it's not the name.
- 38:47Speaker 1: What the so?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Kennedy toddo Are you worrying?
- 38:55Speaker 1: Why are you mad about your own name?
- 38:59Speaker 2: Yeah? Go ahead, Yeah, I love that exact you said.
- 39:07Speaker 2: You said the lyrics, and I wish I could give
- 39:09Speaker 2: you the point, but I have to talk to Kristin
- 39:12Speaker 2: more often than I talked to you.
- 39:13Speaker 4: And it's okay.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Okay.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Now I feel bad because we were tired and then
- 39:17Speaker 3: I got aggressive and now I won, and I feel
- 39:20Speaker 3: guilty now.
- 39:20Speaker 2: That she doesn't have a uterus.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Bill.
- 39:22Speaker 2: She's so mean to us.
- 39:26Speaker 1: She hits us when you're not here, Bill, It's okay.
- 39:30Speaker 4: How did she get you when you're you're not in
- 39:32Speaker 4: the same room?
- 39:32Speaker 1: She axes it.
- 39:33Speaker 2: I mean she she hit me a lot while she
- 39:38Speaker 2: was here in March. I just mailed them.
- 39:40Speaker 1: He mails it. Yeah, we have to hit ourselves with it.
- 39:43Speaker 2: And it says, hit yourself with this. It was a
- 39:47Speaker 2: slotted wooden spoon, and I was like, you know, child.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Childhood trauma.
- 39:55Speaker 1: They weren't slotted, but yeah, those would be more our
- 39:58Speaker 1: dynamic get a little and.
- 40:00Speaker 2: They can get more speed on those I didn't get
- 40:02Speaker 2: hit with a slot of the spoon, but.
- 40:04Speaker 5: Oh, my friend did I got with the worst spoon.
- 40:08Speaker 2: Hair brush. Let me tell you, flat back old school eighties,
- 40:12Speaker 2: like big hair brush that fucking stun. And my dad
- 40:16Speaker 2: every once in off I was really in trouble, would
- 40:17Speaker 2: be like I'm going to get the fraternity paddle off.
- 40:21Speaker 2: But I was never in that much trouble that it happened.
- 40:24Speaker 2: I usually got myself out of that. Yeah, but like
- 40:26Speaker 2: my dad's fraternity paddles, like this giant flat piece. It's
- 40:30Speaker 2: like a one by four with shit painted on it.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Yeah, my husband got paddles. Yeah, well I have a paddle.
- 40:40Speaker 2: But I'm making the face rosemade on the couch when
- 40:50Speaker 2: she was having her Santa fet it? All right, would
- 40:54Speaker 2: you like to tell us some trivia?
- 40:56Speaker 4: I would.
- 40:58Speaker 1: Terry Kaiser was Santa Claus, sorry, the psychotic Santa Claus.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I should specify. You might remember him from Weekend to Bernie's.
- 41:08Speaker 1: He was Bernie.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Familiar, but I knew it wasn't something I watched all
- 41:14Speaker 2: the time.
- 41:14Speaker 1: So it was also on Night Court a bit as
- 41:17Speaker 1: a press guy. So yeah, he was around the eighties.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Craig Richard Nelson was mister Thurber, which was the guests
- 41:27Speaker 1: who liked the matches, and he one time was on
- 41:30Speaker 1: Star Trek Next Generation. I was like to shout that out.
- 41:34Speaker 1: Sam Anderson was Meyer the liar, he was the principal,
- 41:37Speaker 1: and Forrest Gump he was on some Mattlocks. Teddy Wilson
- 41:43Speaker 1: was Albert the diner owner. He was on Good Times.
- 41:48Speaker 1: And Buddy Daniels Friedman was the airport beggar. Harry Krishna
- 41:55Speaker 1: guy and he was also on Star Trek. Now, this
- 42:00Speaker 1: is where it gets wild. If you remember the photos
- 42:04Speaker 1: that Blanche handed out during rehearsals, members of the prop
- 42:10Speaker 1: department took photos of themselves and exaggerated erotic nude or
- 42:15Speaker 1: semi nude poses and compiled them into the calendar the
- 42:19Speaker 1: men Blanche's boudoir. When the girls saw the calendar for
- 42:24Speaker 1: the first time on set, they fell into hysterical laughter. Afterwards,
- 42:30Speaker 1: each girl got their own copy signed by the prop department.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Ru's copy sold for over four thousand dollars after her death.
- 42:38Speaker 2: They definitely can't do that nowadays.
- 42:41Speaker 1: No, you'd get like a for harassment. Yeah. Uh. The
- 42:45Speaker 1: only time in the past two hundred years that Snow
- 42:50Speaker 1: was seen in Miami was nineteen seventy seven, so it
- 42:54Speaker 1: actually has happened.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Wow, and.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Aaron mentioned but yeah, it was surfing Safari by the
- 43:01Speaker 1: Beach Boys that we heard. And I think and we
- 43:05Speaker 1: can discuss, but I'm I think Blanche has something called santaphilia,
- 43:10Speaker 1: and I'm wondering if it's because she met her husband
- 43:12Speaker 1: on Christmas Eve. Maybe she's really into santas which is
- 43:18Speaker 1: a real thing.
- 43:18Speaker 3: It's a real thing.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I apologize. I don't think our audience I can't
- 43:24Speaker 2: see this picture, but I just want to show you.
- 43:26Speaker 2: This is one of the actual pictures from the prop
- 43:29Speaker 2: guys on this bench. It on those barstools with just
- 43:33Speaker 2: a towel and their towels hot dog.
- 43:36Speaker 1: I thought it was skirts.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, they just have a terry cloth towel dropped
- 43:43Speaker 2: draped across both of their laps and they're sharing a
- 43:46Speaker 2: hot dog.
- 43:47Speaker 4: You could get away with that as long as you're not.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Actually want this calendar. Now that was March. It looks like, yeah,
- 43:56Speaker 2: that was I'm trying to find it for you guys.
- 44:03Speaker 1: But why did I not think to look up the photos?
- 44:09Speaker 4: I think the Relph Report did it on Thursday on
- 44:15Speaker 4: Santa Filia or something along those.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I think so, because there's people the same way
- 44:19Speaker 1: with like clowns and stuff. Sorry, if you can hear that,
- 44:24Speaker 1: somebody is doing some kind of power tool outside.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Ying.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Okay, good, I see the hot dog photo. That's all
- 44:37Speaker 1: I'm seeing. So maybe someone only took that one photo.
- 44:42Speaker 1: But if if it's sold, you think they would have
- 44:44Speaker 1: released all of it.
- 44:47Speaker 4: The rest of them might be too risky.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 1: I did say somewhere nude, but future when I that trivia,
- 45:00Speaker 1: I was laughing.
- 45:01Speaker 5: I was like, oh my god, that's amazing.
- 45:06Speaker 1: But you're right, Kristen, like they or Bill or whoever
- 45:09Speaker 1: said it, like they wouldn't get away with that. Now
- 45:11Speaker 1: you'd get sued and like hr would come in. How
- 45:15Speaker 1: dare you?
- 45:16Speaker 3: Yeah, all takes is one person to be offended, so
- 45:19Speaker 3: which isn't hard.
- 45:20Speaker 1: So yeah, but yeah, I don't know if Blanche's Santa
- 45:25Speaker 1: fetish comes back.
- 45:28Speaker 4: Probably one off thing.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. It was funny how it turned on.
- 45:32Speaker 1: She was getting Santa on every street corner.
- 45:35Speaker 4: It's the eighties. They might have gotten some clap.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Back about that about the Santa. How dare you sperch
- 45:42Speaker 1: Santa yep, sexualizing Santa. I don't. I don't, but I'm
- 45:48Speaker 1: not gonna kink shame. But it's just I don't see
- 45:50Speaker 1: him and go, oh yeah, maybe maybe it's the sitting
- 45:54Speaker 1: on his lap thing. I don't know.
- 45:59Speaker 4: It doesn't do it for me, you know, I think
- 46:03Speaker 4: I just remember the whole time I was thinking of
- 46:06Speaker 4: bad Santa on my lunch break.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah, why would you want Santa to yell at you?
- 46:14Speaker 1: People like to be yelled at, That's true. I don't know,
- 46:28Speaker 1: but that was a good episode. They threw in some
- 46:31Speaker 1: guest stars, so it's kind of it was almost like
- 46:34Speaker 1: their version of like a holiday special if you if
- 46:36Speaker 1: you knew where to look.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you know early in this, you know, early on,
- 46:41Speaker 4: that's a good one.
- 46:41Speaker 1: You know, they just needed someone to sing a song,
- 46:44Speaker 1: you know. I guess Betty White did sing a little bit,
- 46:46Speaker 1: and then she got distracted.
- 46:49Speaker 2: I love it, just as they were about to sing
- 46:51Speaker 2: with her.
- 46:52Speaker 8: Ye.
- 46:53Speaker 2: She did not.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Ever tell you, hey, look a squirrel.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yeah you got a great episode. Bill tell us about
- 47:07Speaker 1: the villain, Miss Aaron.
- 47:09Speaker 2: I will after I read this, Oh please please do it.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Uh.
- 47:16Speaker 2: This this particular picture says, this is the one that
- 47:22Speaker 2: was rus that was auctioned, and so the signature on
- 47:26Speaker 2: it is from the two prop or from one of
- 47:28Speaker 2: the prop guys in the picture, and it says to Rue,
- 47:31Speaker 2: we wanted to take the towels off for you, but
- 47:33Speaker 2: we didn't know how the others would react, so use
- 47:35Speaker 2: your imagination. Wow wow, wow wow, hilarious. Anyway, Sorry, okay,
- 47:43Speaker 2: villain you.
- 47:45Speaker 1: Dorothy, Dorothy, she was busy writing the quiz, did and
- 47:49Speaker 1: take note? That's okay?
- 47:52Speaker 2: I lot, yeah, audience members, I lost part of the
- 47:56Speaker 2: quiz somehow. Not your fault son uploading, I guess.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:02Speaker 2: And so then when I opened the stuff this morning,
- 48:05Speaker 2: about seventeen minutes before we started to record, I found
- 48:10Speaker 2: out that I had like just one through eleven.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Which would which would still work, you know.
- 48:18Speaker 2: It would still work. It looked like maybe just stopped
- 48:21Speaker 2: watching the episode. Yeah, yeah, anyway, Okay, So I think
- 48:27Speaker 2: for me, Dorothy's a villain because of her baham spirit
- 48:31Speaker 2: bohambug spirit. At the beginning, I think like if she
- 48:33Speaker 2: could have maybe positioned it better, and also her mom's
- 48:38Speaker 2: on like a fixed income, so I mean, just let
- 48:41Speaker 2: her use your credit card. And then also she picks
- 48:51Speaker 2: on the gift she got the beautiful maple syrups pigot.
- 48:57Speaker 2: You asked for that. I'm sorry it's not the pearl
- 48:59Speaker 2: ear you fell in love with, but you asked for
- 49:03Speaker 2: homemade gifts and joy. And then she steals chocolate syrup
- 49:09Speaker 2: from the diner at the end when she's like, yeah,
- 49:11Speaker 2: I go home to your family. You guys know we
- 49:12Speaker 2: need all this cheesecake, the chocolate syrup. They didn't fucking
- 49:15Speaker 2: pay for.
- 49:18Speaker 4: Work.
- 49:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:19Speaker 1: I don't know if the guy would mind.
- 49:21Speaker 2: But yeah. Also when that guy gets fired on Christmas
- 49:26Speaker 2: Eve because he left four uh late middle aged ladies
- 49:31Speaker 2: in charge of his diner and the owner finds.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Out definitely an insurance liability if they got injured.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Yeah, can you cook? Super villain? Yeah that was interesting.
- 49:45Speaker 2: I every once in a while there's like a thing
- 49:49Speaker 2: that like just is like what and so.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Yeah of the time, yeah, yeah, he goes can you cook?
- 49:59Speaker 1: And so fee goes are you black?
- 50:01Speaker 2: Are you black?
- 50:03Speaker 1: Which it's not super stroke.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Here's the thing.
- 50:08Speaker 1: She's also not great.
- 50:10Speaker 2: It's not great, but like she's also had a stroke,
- 50:13Speaker 2: So I feel like even if that happened.
- 50:15Speaker 1: In maybe she was just genuinely catact.
- 50:21Speaker 3: It's like saying doesn't bear shit in the woods.
- 50:23Speaker 4: You know, it's like.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Yeah, probably maybe We're not sure though, because no one
- 50:29Speaker 2: sees it.
- 50:30Speaker 1: There's a homeless person ship near Erin.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I mean I did see. I've seen the amount of people,
- 50:38Speaker 2: the amount.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Of Disneyland near errand the amount of.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Human beings that I have watched take a ship is
- 50:45Speaker 2: like shockingly high considering I'm not in elder care and
- 50:49Speaker 2: you're not trying to work in a hospital environment you
- 50:53Speaker 2: don't enjoy. Have seen many people take a ship and
- 50:57Speaker 2: it's upsetting.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Oh, we should make you in a war.
- 51:02Speaker 2: A little.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Yeah, a little brown eyes set you.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Most surprised, pooped?
- 51:14Speaker 1: So what did you guys think? You loved it?
- 51:17Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 51:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a good episode.
- 51:19Speaker 4: Episode.
- 51:19Speaker 2: I really like this episode.
- 51:21Speaker 1: Yeah me too.
- 51:23Speaker 2: I was excited when it started. Although as a artistic
- 51:29Speaker 2: person and someone that's worked in props and costumes, I
- 51:31Speaker 2: will say the generic shopping bags that got used in
- 51:37Speaker 2: the eighties always really blooming me out because they didn't
- 51:40Speaker 2: want Back then, they would have had to pay like
- 51:43Speaker 2: Name and Marcus to use an Emon Marcus bag, whereas
- 51:46Speaker 2: now Name and Marcus would be like, please use our
- 51:48Speaker 2: bag for free and advertise and because of that culture
- 51:51Speaker 2: flip actually famously, that's how Reese's pieces became kind of
- 51:55Speaker 2: famous because Eminem wanted too much money for ET to
- 51:59Speaker 2: eat them em and oh yeah, so they all come
- 52:04Speaker 2: in with these like the full of stuff. I was
- 52:07Speaker 2: impressed at the prop master that it wasn't just like
- 52:09Speaker 2: tissue paper and empty bag. There were things in it
- 52:12Speaker 2: to give a bulk, but they were very much like, Hey,
- 52:14Speaker 2: we went to whatever party city was called in the
- 52:16Speaker 2: eighties and bought these three different colored bags. It was weird.
- 52:24Speaker 2: You almost had a question about who used the prison
- 52:26Speaker 2: cups first in that one, but I couldn't tell who
- 52:29Speaker 2: picked it up off the table. I only knew Doors
- 52:31Speaker 2: saw Dorothy, but she was pouring something on the table
- 52:36Speaker 2: and I think technically I couldn't figure it out, so
- 52:39Speaker 2: I didn't. But that's how hard I'm trying to make
- 52:41Speaker 2: these games now, because you guys are getting so good.
- 52:47Speaker 4: We're good, baby, everybody. I got two pages of notes here, So.
- 52:56Speaker 1: Were you writing down like what their outfits were?
- 53:00Speaker 4: No, that's I got chicken scratch, so I don't know
- 53:02Speaker 4: if you guys.
- 53:03Speaker 2: That's what.
- 53:05Speaker 4: I double spaced it so I could read it after nobody.
- 53:07Speaker 7: Else could read my notes.
- 53:09Speaker 3: Sometimes I can't even read that fast or what.
- 53:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Kristen's really missed her Cohen. She should have been
- 53:20Speaker 2: a doctor orgentist, because even when she's here, I could
- 53:26Speaker 2: not read her writing. In fact, we were supposed to
- 53:28Speaker 2: post it notes, and I'm glad we didn't because I
- 53:30Speaker 2: don't know if I would have been able to read
- 53:33Speaker 2: you're writing.
- 53:36Speaker 4: That's probably the best thing about the digital age for
- 53:38Speaker 4: me is I don't have to have a handwriting. Everybody
- 53:43Speaker 4: can read text messages.
- 53:45Speaker 2: There's something autocorrect, there's something wrong with Kristin and I
- 53:51Speaker 2: and we have a lot of staky note I had
- 53:54Speaker 2: to take down up but I'm not done, so I'm
- 53:59Speaker 2: like a crazy bag lady.
- 54:03Speaker 4: At least they're not held up by thumb tacks and
- 54:05Speaker 4: connected by twine.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Like on Jeff's Little Traffic.
- 54:19Speaker 2: That's all I had to share with you from my
- 54:21Speaker 2: sticky notes. But you can see behind me I have
- 54:24Speaker 2: quite a few more everywhere else. This nine thousand dollars, No,
- 54:30Speaker 2: it was three or four euro but I got this.
- 54:33Speaker 2: It's the loop. It's a vision labroon painting and rant
- 54:37Speaker 2: in it and inside of it and on it are more.
- 54:43Speaker 8: Oh well, mister Mannus, Yes, I'm sorry it is mister
- 54:54Speaker 8: mannis your father?
- 54:55Speaker 2: Bill? Where would where could people find you? Would you
- 55:00Speaker 2: like to do?
- 55:01Speaker 1: You have anything? You want to play?
- 55:02Speaker 2: Projects going on? You want to plug?
- 55:04Speaker 1: Or no?
- 55:06Speaker 4: I don't you know. I haven't started any projects or
- 55:10Speaker 4: done anything. I'm occasionally on The Fink Show with Gina
- 55:14Speaker 4: and John, but always a fun time.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, let me know if you want to
- 55:18Speaker 2: start a podcast.
- 55:19Speaker 4: It's actually on my mind what would be about?
- 55:23Speaker 2: Bill?
- 55:25Speaker 4: I was actually cars No, I was actually thinking about
- 55:28Speaker 4: stealing a little bit from you guys and doing eighties
- 55:32Speaker 4: cartoons nice and seeing how they held up, hold up,
- 55:35Speaker 4: starting with voice Man and moving like doing the first episode, yeah,
- 55:40Speaker 4: and seeing how they hold up, and once we get
- 55:43Speaker 4: through a certain point, just go back and do the
- 55:46Speaker 4: episodes of various.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Like like how like you remember it as a kid
- 55:50Speaker 1: and then you watch an adult and you're like, I
- 55:52Speaker 1: don't this is dumb now like that kind of thing. Yeah, oh,
- 55:55Speaker 1: I like that idea.
- 55:57Speaker 2: You know what holds up? He Christmas?
- 56:03Speaker 4: I know, yeah, it's I love.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I don't know if I've seen that.
- 56:08Speaker 4: I have it on HS in the garage, the whole
- 56:12Speaker 4: of the other episodes are rather cheesy, and I could
- 56:15Speaker 4: watch for nostalgia mm hmm, but that is fun to
- 56:18Speaker 4: watch that and the and the first episode is she
- 56:22Speaker 4: Ra with the crossover? Any of the crossovers I can watch.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Who did they crossover with?
- 56:29Speaker 4: Uh? He Man and Sheira?
- 56:30Speaker 1: Oh?
- 56:31Speaker 2: He Man was first she came on and then they
- 56:38Speaker 2: did like to intro. It was like this empty nest
- 56:41Speaker 2: spin off of basically, yeah, it's because man is every
- 56:45Speaker 2: woman needs a man.
- 56:47Speaker 4: That's right, Well, it's their twins and she was.
- 56:55Speaker 1: We also if you ever get into that, love to
- 56:58Speaker 1: hear that. Yeah, that sounds amazing. So look in the
- 57:04Speaker 1: future for Bill Mannis's podcast. Do you have a cute
- 57:07Speaker 1: little name you'd name it in your mind? Or no?
- 57:10Speaker 4: I thought about doing hold up or something along those lines,
- 57:13Speaker 4: just real short, yeah, something along those lines. But I'm like,
- 57:17Speaker 4: I'm too white to do it that way.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Right right, I don't know if that's true. I've said
- 57:23Speaker 2: a lot of things that probably a white person shouldn't say,
- 57:26Speaker 2: and people still seem to like me. So you think
- 57:29Speaker 2: about it. I said Shaddy earlier today, So there's that.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Yeah, that's old enough that you can get away with
- 57:37Speaker 4: it though.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Memory in my head.
- 57:43Speaker 2: That's awesome. Well, we would love to obviously have you. Yes,
- 57:47Speaker 2: Helly love to be on your new show that's coming up.
- 57:50Speaker 2: I am a little sad that what you didn't mean
- 57:53Speaker 2: was that you wanted to do another show.
- 57:56Speaker 4: I would gladly do it with you, because I have
- 57:58Speaker 4: no idea who to do it with, do one with,
- 58:00Speaker 4: So it's but I didn't want to step all over
- 58:03Speaker 4: you doing that. I know. I just whoa.
- 58:10Speaker 1: Gonna end up?
- 58:12Speaker 4: She didn't hear you.
- 58:14Speaker 2: It's gonna end up a teaser now that is gonna
- 58:18Speaker 2: my mom is Janet is gonna be Instagram and it's
- 58:23Speaker 2: gonna go erin will do it with anybody.
- 58:28Speaker 4: Maybe that's the name of the podcast.
- 58:33Speaker 1: And then you just it's like Shark Tank. You just
- 58:35Speaker 1: pitch podcast Aaron.
- 58:37Speaker 4: The first episode and see if she wants to do
- 58:40Speaker 4: it again, and she's.
- 58:43Speaker 2: Guys, I know you're making fun of me, but I'm
- 58:45Speaker 2: not mad.
- 58:46Speaker 1: That's not a bad idea. Yeah, also a good idea.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Our hearts will go on That didn't didn't last.
- 58:53Speaker 2: So she tries to hey, hey, we just when we
- 58:59Speaker 2: when we did episode two of that, we already had
- 59:03Speaker 2: nothing to talk about and we're reading facts about the
- 59:06Speaker 2: Titanic from the internet. It was hands down the most
- 59:11Speaker 2: boring episode I ever tried to edit.
- 59:17Speaker 4: And I love history, so I enjoyed it.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was like, did you know there were
- 59:23Speaker 2: only enough lifeboats for twelve hundred people? Like everyone knows.
- 59:28Speaker 2: It is like always talking the Titanic ship. It was
- 59:34Speaker 2: called the ship of dreams, but.
- 59:36Speaker 1: For me, it was taking me back to It was
- 59:40Speaker 1: a ship of screams.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Now that's a podcast. Yeah, all right, cool, Let's let's
- 59:52Speaker 2: make some more podcasts. Guys, let's stalk in the interim,
- 59:56Speaker 2: let's talk about this podcast. Where can they find us, Kristen.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: You can reach us across all socials at omealanipod. You
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: can email us at omealanipod at gmail dot com, and
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: you can download the podcast wherever you listen to podcasts.
