- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, the world's most trusted conspiracy
- 0:16Speaker 1: Beary podcast, with your hosts Adam Todd Brown and Olivia Hidar.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy The Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Who are you?
- 0:39Speaker 3: I'm Olivia Hidar.
- 0:40Speaker 2: You know what that makes us? Makes us? Your hosts?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Who?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yeah? Deep? Huh pretty deep? Olivia?
- 0:46Speaker 3: How's it going?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Happy post Halloween day? After Halloween? Did you get a
- 0:51Speaker 2: lot of candy? I did?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Yeah, totally.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I went trick or treating and my neighbors are like, hey,
- 0:55Speaker 3: aren't you thirty five? What's going on?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Yeah? And you just say no, my costume it's thirty five.
- 1:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I'm just up. It's a very realistic. Yeah,
- 1:06Speaker 3: I'm a thirty five year old. Actually I went a
- 1:08Speaker 3: little overboard, kind of looks about forty.
- 1:11Speaker 2: But uh, yeah, we're not talking about anything Halloween related.
- 1:17Speaker 2: We should have. I guess we just dropped the ball.
- 1:19Speaker 2: There's not really any Halloween conspiracies to.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Talk No, not really. I mean it's kind of all
- 1:26Speaker 3: played out by Halloween itself. I feel like it's tough
- 1:30Speaker 3: for any conspiracy to break through the mass of like
- 1:34Speaker 3: especially now Halloween last the whole damn month.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I guess last week's episode was kind of
- 1:40Speaker 2: our Halloween episode with Alex Jones descending into the forest
- 1:45Speaker 2: of northern California to show us a burning owl. Yeah.
- 1:49Speaker 3: We talked about how it was kind of blair witchy,
- 1:52Speaker 3: so it counts.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yeah, good job us. Good enough. Now it's Thanksgiving time,
- 1:58Speaker 2: so well, now it's election, my friend, Oh my god. Yeah. Yeah,
- 2:02Speaker 2: there's nothing really conspiracy related to talk about around the election.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Huh No, totally nothing at all.
- 2:09Speaker 2: We're actually going to talk about some election related stuff
- 2:12Speaker 2: because we're doing a conspiracy news round up. Every once
- 2:16Speaker 2: in a while, I'll go to my RSS reader and
- 2:19Speaker 2: just type the word conspiracy in and see what kind
- 2:23Speaker 2: of stuff comes up, and you'd be surprised. It's more
- 2:27Speaker 2: than you'd expect. Sometimes, even some mainstream news stuff like
- 2:31Speaker 2: this this first story from ScienceDaily dot com. Ever heard
- 2:35Speaker 2: of science? Yes, it rules. It's very cool. I have
- 2:39Speaker 2: a T shirt says science on it.
- 2:42Speaker 3: I have a T shirt that says NASA on it.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Oh wow, I do I have an ASA shirt. I'm
- 2:47Speaker 2: wearing a Nirvana shirt right now. That's science. Hell yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 2: So this first story truly unsurprising news, But thinking COVID
- 2:57Speaker 2: is a hoax is a gateway to belief in conspiracy
- 3:03Speaker 2: theories in general. Yeah, that means does sure super duper
- 3:07Speaker 2: surprise me.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Is not believing that COVID is a hoax, like believing
- 3:13Speaker 3: in a conspiracy theory in itself? Is that not a
- 3:17Speaker 3: conspiracy theory?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Yeah? And I guess what they're getting at is that
- 3:23Speaker 2: there are some people who just believe one conspiracy theory
- 3:27Speaker 2: that doesn't seem right.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's this whole network. When you find out about one,
- 3:31Speaker 3: there's always gonna be you're gonna find out about the other.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's kind of how the internet's working now.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I would argue that a belief in COVID being a
- 3:41Speaker 2: hoax does speak to a person not having a high
- 3:45Speaker 2: degree of critical thinking skills or not necessarily being able
- 3:51Speaker 2: to ascertain if a source they're looking at is legitimate.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So in that way, I could very much see a
- 3:59Speaker 2: belief in COVID as a hoax leading a person to
- 4:02Speaker 2: believe some of the more outlandish conspiracy things, because there
- 4:07Speaker 2: are the true ones like Elvis faked is death, but
- 4:11Speaker 2: then you know there's also the wild nonsense like Aliens
- 4:16Speaker 2: did nine to eleven.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I mean, hey, that's a good one way. We should
- 4:20Speaker 3: do an episode about that one. But I do think
- 4:23Speaker 3: maybe what they mean is that thinking COVID is a
- 4:26Speaker 3: hoax is a gateway to belief in right wing conspiracies,
- 4:31Speaker 3: because that makes sense.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that definitely would be a gateway. And also I
- 4:38Speaker 2: could see it being an on ramp to election fraud
- 4:42Speaker 2: conspiracies because that's a thing where a lot of people
- 4:46Speaker 2: who believe the twenty twenty election was stolen, a lot
- 4:49Speaker 2: of them also think COVID was invented for that purpose,
- 4:53Speaker 2: right to steal the election. And it's like, I mean,
- 4:56Speaker 2: for sure, come on, we got the CIA on our side.
- 4:59Speaker 2: We don't need to create pandemics to steal elections.
- 5:04Speaker 3: It's interesting use of the word hour.
- 5:07Speaker 2: I would say, yeah, yeah, that's a good point. I
- 5:11Speaker 2: always do that though. I always fall into wee an
- 5:13Speaker 2: hour when I'm talking about the American government, because I mean,
- 5:17Speaker 2: it is my government, no matter what I get it.
- 5:20Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, I didn't mean we, I just meant
- 5:23Speaker 2: Olivia specifically. Yes, CIA is a specifically on Olivia's side.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Yeah, My handlers are very providing.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Researchers as part of this study assassinated. Oh yeah, yeah, sure, sure.
- 5:40Speaker 2: So In this study, researchers asked five hundred and one
- 5:43Speaker 2: participants to answer questions assessing their beliefs in COVID conspiracies,
- 5:48Speaker 2: political ideology, and something called conspiracist ideation. Does five hundred
- 5:53Speaker 2: one people seem like enough?
- 5:55Speaker 3: Well, I don't know. It's tough with anything like this,
- 5:58Speaker 3: with any sort of socials, it's gonna be tough to
- 6:01Speaker 3: find a sample size that will satisfy everyone. Yeah, you know,
- 6:06Speaker 3: because I don't think it could ever be big enough,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and you're never gonna get a big enough one to
- 6:10Speaker 3: accurately like totally. No, I don't think so. Five hundred
- 6:14Speaker 3: and one is not very many. Yeah, I would think
- 6:16Speaker 3: at least a thousand, But you know, I'm like a
- 6:18Speaker 3: dummy and I have no brain for statistics or anything.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So, and the questions they were asked there was a
- 6:26Speaker 2: five point scale ranging from definitely not true to definitely true,
- 6:31Speaker 2: and they were rating statements such as some UFO sidings
- 6:35Speaker 2: and rumors are planned or staged in order to distract
- 6:39Speaker 2: the public from real alien contact or new in advanced
- 6:44Speaker 2: technology which would harm current industry is being suppressed. Is
- 6:48Speaker 2: that last one? I mean, yeah, I guess it's a
- 6:51Speaker 2: conspiracy theory. But we know that kind of stuff happens.
- 6:55Speaker 2: There's that really famous story of the light bulb that
- 6:59Speaker 2: does not burn out, and when the lighting industry heard
- 7:01Speaker 2: of that, they were like, oh no, no, no, no,
- 7:03Speaker 2: no no, We're gonna make light bulbs that burn out.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Well, I will say, not speaking to either of these examples,
- 7:12Speaker 3: but like oftentimes on a survey like this, they will
- 7:15Speaker 3: include questions on a spectrum of objective reality or you
- 7:20Speaker 3: know whatever. Like they're not always saying if you say
- 7:23Speaker 3: this is true, then that is a conspiracy theory. It's like,
- 7:28Speaker 3: you know, it's a spectrum, So I don't know what
- 7:30Speaker 3: other questions are on there to see where these questions fall, yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 3: on that spectrum or you know, or I don't know
- 7:37Speaker 3: their methodology, but yeah, I mean, I would say my
- 7:40Speaker 3: biggest problem with like the UFO one is it just
- 7:43Speaker 3: goes a little too far. It's a little too specific.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I feel like saying that the government is the purpose
- 7:49Speaker 3: is to stage in order to distract the public from
- 7:52Speaker 3: new alien contact instead of for another reason. Why, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 3: they might stage an alien cut or whatever, Like I
- 7:59Speaker 3: don't know, it's kind of leading if that makes sense.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I'm kind of stumbling.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Yes, staging it to hide actual alien contact would be
- 8:08Speaker 2: a weird choice.
- 8:09Speaker 3: And right, like, I wouldn't probably I would not say
- 8:14Speaker 3: definitely true. Yeah, I would do that question.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I would if anything sighed more with the notion that
- 8:21Speaker 2: maybe we fake some of it to make people think
- 8:25Speaker 2: UFOs are real.
- 8:27Speaker 3: But also I don't think COVID is a hoax, and
- 8:30Speaker 3: so I'm obviously not the target audience. Excuse this survey, no,
- 8:35Speaker 3: I know.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Oh well, I guess we're gonna have to have a
- 8:38Speaker 2: philosophical debate after this episode. But fine, yeah, nothing anyone
- 8:42Speaker 2: would want to hear. We'll do that off the.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Air, right exactly.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, what I would want to know is, was a
- 8:49Speaker 2: previous belief in conspiracy theories also conducive to believe in
- 8:54Speaker 2: COVID was a hoax?
- 8:55Speaker 3: Right? It's interesting to posit a causal relationship between these
- 9:00Speaker 3: two things without having a survey of these people before
- 9:04Speaker 3: they believed that COVID was a hoax, you know what
- 9:06Speaker 3: I mean? Like, yeah, yeah, we don't know whether they
- 9:09Speaker 3: already held so like, then we don't know that the
- 9:12Speaker 3: hoax theory is causing It's not a gateway, it correlates
- 9:17Speaker 3: like it's not really causal.
- 9:19Speaker 2: And there was actually another follow up survey to this one.
- 9:24Speaker 2: This study was led by the seemingly fictional University of Nottingham,
- 9:30Speaker 2: but apparently that's a real place.
- 9:33Speaker 3: And yeah, Robin Hood went there, Yeah exactly.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Researchers there found that people who were subjected to workplace
- 9:40Speaker 2: bullying are also more prone to conspiracy theory beliefs. So
- 9:46Speaker 2: this dates back to when unpops started. We had a
- 9:50Speaker 2: whole office. Every time I would walk past Olivia in
- 9:53Speaker 2: the hallway, just fucking get shoved right into a fucking wall.
- 9:58Speaker 2: And now here I am hosting the conspirac theory podcast totally.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And it's totally cool and I'm fine with it.
- 10:04Speaker 2: It's actually me and Olivia both getting thrown into the wall.
- 10:09Speaker 2: So here we are. We just got me severely bullied.
- 10:13Speaker 2: In those early on pop stays.
- 10:16Speaker 3: It does make sense. I mean, like, I don't know,
- 10:18Speaker 3: it just kind of fits that view of the put
- 10:21Speaker 3: upon beta basically.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, the Joker, Yeah.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, he got Joker fired. You know, he got black pilled,
- 10:30Speaker 3: he got all this stuff, clown build you know. Yeah,
- 10:34Speaker 3: that makes sense because we also see that in kids
- 10:37Speaker 3: you know, if a kid is bullied and outcast, that
- 10:40Speaker 3: can lead to defined sanctuary and extremist groups. So yeah,
- 10:45Speaker 3: I don't know, it makes sense. That makes more sense
- 10:48Speaker 3: than I mean, the COVID one makes sense. It's just
- 10:51Speaker 3: I don't think it's causal.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah, with the COVID one, I don't know how many
- 10:55Speaker 2: people would have gone into thinking COVID as a hoax
- 10:59Speaker 2: without already having some conspiracy theory belief under their belt.
- 11:05Speaker 2: That's a weird one to start with. But also, I
- 11:07Speaker 2: don't know, I feel like I could see QAnon being
- 11:10Speaker 2: a lot of people's starter conspiracy theory just because it's.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I think that is definitely true.
- 11:16Speaker 2: But in both cases, I think it's just because it's
- 11:19Speaker 2: so prevalent online. Like COVID denial and QAnon both are
- 11:24Speaker 2: like communities basically m hm. So I guess it makes
- 11:27Speaker 2: sense that someone would start there. Yeah, I guess. Here's
- 11:32Speaker 2: a quote from the Bullying Study. Bullying experiences can significantly
- 11:37Speaker 2: impact the victim in numerous ways, with the development of
- 11:41Speaker 2: conspiracy beliefs being another detrimental consequence. We believe victims of
- 11:45Speaker 2: bullying may find conspiracy theories appealing because bullying experiences frustrate
- 11:50Speaker 2: the exact psychological factors, such as disempowerment, that are a
- 11:55Speaker 2: route to developing conspiracy beliefs. End quote. Here's the thing.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Shut up, linger, Like all this fucking science, science, science, science,
- 12:06Speaker 2: bullying conspiracy theories. Shut the fuck up before I give
- 12:10Speaker 2: you a swirly.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I do study bullying scientists can lead to conspiracy beliefs.
- 12:18Speaker 3: But I mean that quote is what we and were
- 12:20Speaker 3: just saying. Yeah, basically they have to say it in
- 12:24Speaker 3: a science way. They're scientists.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing. So much about conspiracy theories is
- 12:31Speaker 2: not science. There's not that much science to it. I
- 12:35Speaker 2: think people overthink it sometimes, and like, especially when you
- 12:40Speaker 2: see articles about, oh, here's how conspiracy theory is spread online.
- 12:45Speaker 2: It's like but information ziologists. Yeah, I just I don't know.
- 12:50Speaker 2: I think people overthink it. I think people just don't
- 12:53Speaker 2: trust the government sometimes, and I think sometimes it's warranted
- 12:56Speaker 2: and sometimes it's not.
- 12:57Speaker 3: For sure, I mean probably, But people got to study
- 13:00Speaker 3: this shit, you know, they got someone has to. It
- 13:04Speaker 3: just is interesting when they reach some conclusions.
- 13:08Speaker 2: All right, let's move into the criminal justice phase of
- 13:11Speaker 2: this episode. Talk about some court happenings. For example, three
- 13:16Speaker 2: men were convicted in the plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Remember that a bunch of dudes wanted to abduct Michigan's
- 13:25Speaker 2: smoking hot governor. Isn't she a Republican? Is she even
- 13:28Speaker 2: a Democrat?
- 13:29Speaker 3: Yes, she's a Republican.
- 13:31Speaker 2: And they're just mad that she's like, we, hey, maybe
- 13:33Speaker 2: wear a mask, and they're like, we're going to fucking
- 13:36Speaker 2: kidnap you and blow up the bridge to your summer home,
- 13:38Speaker 2: which was part of the plot.
- 13:40Speaker 3: You can't look around with extremists, like if you're going
- 13:42Speaker 3: to go in and try to get their votes, then
- 13:44Speaker 3: they're gonna get pissed off if you say or do
- 13:49Speaker 3: literally anything that they disagree with.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, they're called extremists for a reason, right, because they're
- 13:55Speaker 2: pretty extreme.
- 13:57Speaker 3: But no, Republicans keep courting the fashion. I'm sure nothing
- 14:01Speaker 3: bad can come of that.
- 14:03Speaker 2: No, No, definitely not. So the ship's finally hitting the
- 14:06Speaker 2: fan over that debacle. Three men accused of taking part
- 14:10Speaker 2: in the plot, Joe Morrison, no Relation, Pete Musico, and
- 14:15Speaker 2: Paul Beller were all convicted of supplying material support for
- 14:19Speaker 2: a terrorist act. When I said no relation, I meant
- 14:22Speaker 2: to Jim Morrison. By the way.
- 14:25Speaker 3: So they're not like Jim Belushi. They're not like they're
- 14:29Speaker 3: they're unrelated.
- 14:30Speaker 2: A little different. They were also found guilty on gun
- 14:33Speaker 2: and gang charges, with prosecutors successfully arguing that the group
- 14:37Speaker 2: they were part of, the Wolverine Watchman, was a criminal enterprise.
- 14:43Speaker 2: That's a dumb name. I bet they had like Michigan
- 14:47Speaker 2: football logos on their ship, because that's Michigan's that's a
- 14:51Speaker 2: Michigan's mascot. Is the Wolverine?
- 14:53Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I'm sure they're also like in Red Down.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Oh was that a Red Dawn thing?
- 14:59Speaker 3: Well, I mean the wolver was Wolverines and you know
- 15:02Speaker 3: and red Don.
- 15:03Speaker 2: That was the Oh right, Oh that's right. Yeah. I
- 15:06Speaker 2: haven't seen Red Dawn in a long long time.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Like since high school. Probably. It's just a pretty good movie.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Did you see the remake?
- 15:14Speaker 3: I did see the remake with North Korea? Like were
- 15:16Speaker 3: they c gied North Korea instead of China? But they
- 15:20Speaker 3: still all Chinese actors.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Korea's army can't afford to fly here. Get the fun?
- 15:27Speaker 3: That was very fun. But like that was like a
- 15:29Speaker 3: thing for a while, like in the early twenty tids
- 15:32Speaker 3: people were like North Korea, they're gonna fucking they're gonna
- 15:35Speaker 3: come get us.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Yeah, totally, Yeah, sure that would end very well for them.
- 15:41Speaker 2: I know, North Korea is a whole other thing. I
- 15:43Speaker 2: have weird feelings on, Like, I'd probably be a little
- 15:48Speaker 2: loosey goosey with my nuclear threats too if I was
- 15:51Speaker 2: living in that.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Also, just the Red Dawn narrative I just find interesting. Sure, Yeah,
- 15:57Speaker 3: it pops up over and over again in different things,
- 15:59Speaker 3: and I'm just like, I always find it really interesting
- 16:03Speaker 3: how it's pulled off. Yeah, Like, who the invading army is,
- 16:06Speaker 3: how they invade, how people react, It's very I think
- 16:10Speaker 3: interesting on the sociological level. Anyway, these guys.
- 16:14Speaker 2: These guys, they are not accused of directly plotting to
- 16:19Speaker 2: kidnap Gretchen Whitmer. Instead, prosecutors used evidence like social media posts,
- 16:25Speaker 2: text messages, and secretly recorded conversations to paint the trio
- 16:31Speaker 2: as dangerous anti government extremists pushed over the edge by
- 16:37Speaker 2: COVID lockdown measures. Very interesting note in this article, the
- 16:41Speaker 2: defense was prevented from arguing that the three were entrapped
- 16:48Speaker 2: by undercover FBI agents who infiltrated the group. Because here's
- 16:53Speaker 2: the thing, they almost certainly were.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's very interesting. I had not the secret recording
- 17:02Speaker 3: aspect of this, and that is quite interesting.
- 17:05Speaker 2: Well, that's been one of the big rumblings around this
- 17:08Speaker 2: case ever since it started going to court and people
- 17:12Speaker 2: started going to trial for it, is that this is
- 17:15Speaker 2: just another one of those examples of the FBI showing
- 17:19Speaker 2: up to a group of people who probably did hold
- 17:22Speaker 2: some extremist beliefs and being like, hey, you want to
- 17:25Speaker 2: kidnap the governor of Michigan, and then when people say yes,
- 17:28Speaker 2: they're like, ah, gotcha, you're under arrest. They did it
- 17:32Speaker 2: a bunch After nine to eleven. There was a group
- 17:34Speaker 2: in Buffalo, New York. They're called like the Buffalo Five,
- 17:38Speaker 2: who were just like dudes who didn't necessarily love the
- 17:41Speaker 2: United States, but they weren't right terrorists, And the FBI
- 17:46Speaker 2: shows up with bomb making material and it's like, hey,
- 17:48Speaker 2: you want to help us put this together? And then
- 17:50Speaker 2: once they do, they're like, all right, you're terrorists.
- 17:53Speaker 3: So it happens over and over again. There's a great
- 17:57Speaker 3: song by Laura Jaine Grace of Again Me about a
- 18:00Speaker 3: group of people who were what do you call it, honeypotted? Yeah,
- 18:04Speaker 3: a fucking FBI agent and yeah, it's fucked up.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's it's one of those really uncomfortable things
- 18:11Speaker 2: where like after the mar Lago raid and all these
- 18:15Speaker 2: people on the right are like, defund the FBI, and
- 18:18Speaker 2: it's like, yeah, but like twenty five years ago, like
- 18:23Speaker 2: forever ago. I don't know if it speaks more to
- 18:26Speaker 2: how shady the FBI is or to how shady the
- 18:31Speaker 2: right is in the Trump administration, but it's like you
- 18:35Speaker 2: have finally bumped up against the one possibly egregious FBI
- 18:39Speaker 2: action also where I'm like, I don't give fuck, I
- 18:42Speaker 2: don't care. Yeah, you motherfuckers have been putting up with
- 18:44Speaker 2: the FBI killing progressives for decades, bomb in the fucking
- 18:49Speaker 2: move house in Philadelphia, and now you want to defund
- 18:54Speaker 2: the FBI. Fuck you too late, too late, motherfuckers.
- 19:00Speaker 3: I mean it's the same with everything that the fucking
- 19:02Speaker 3: right does. They don't have beliefs, right, really, they only
- 19:05Speaker 3: have hatred, and so if something happens to them, they
- 19:09Speaker 3: react by lashing out. And so yeah, this defund the
- 19:14Speaker 3: FBI call is like a it's like a child having
- 19:17Speaker 3: a tantrum. But also I'm like, yes, defund the FBI
- 19:22Speaker 3: when people say defund the cops. They don't just mean
- 19:25Speaker 3: like they're fucking city.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Cops, right.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Defund the FBI, Defund the CIA, Defund the NSA, Defund
- 19:33Speaker 3: the fucking TSA. Get rid of all of these motherfuckers.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't even want PSAs anymore. I'll fucking tell
- 19:41Speaker 2: you my life. I'll figure shit out on my own.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 2: So Yeah, it's one of those things where I know,
- 19:50Speaker 2: these three dudes, we are not aligned politically or ideologically
- 19:55Speaker 2: in any way, but when I hear their lawyers say, hey,
- 19:58Speaker 2: the FBI entrapped our client, I'm like, yeah, probably, Like
- 20:02Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not enough of a leftist zealot that
- 20:05Speaker 2: I would be like, no, uh, FBI wouldn't do that.
- 20:08Speaker 3: And like, I don't necessarily think that they wouldn't have
- 20:12Speaker 3: committed violence without being in trap And even if they
- 20:16Speaker 3: weren't in trapped, they definitely had an informant within their group. Oh, like,
- 20:20Speaker 3: because that's how you get those secret recordings.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah, we know that there was an FBI informant within
- 20:29Speaker 2: this group, and that's their whole argument is, we weren't
- 20:32Speaker 2: thinking about any of this until old Yeah Joe Fed
- 20:35Speaker 2: showed up.
- 20:36Speaker 3: And that's the classic story. Though, if you're in a
- 20:39Speaker 3: fucking political group, you gotta be fucking careful. I'm not
- 20:43Speaker 3: saying it's never justified for there to be action taken,
- 20:47Speaker 3: but make sure that you know where that idea is
- 20:51Speaker 3: coming from.
- 20:54Speaker 2: So, yeah, they were probably set up. But I'll tell
- 20:57Speaker 2: you who probably was not set up. Stuart Rose. Sure,
- 21:01Speaker 2: oath Keeper's leader. Oh no, Olivia, terrible news out of Washington,
- 21:06Speaker 2: d C.
- 21:07Speaker 3: What He's healthy and safe.
- 21:11Speaker 2: No, the seditious conspiracy trial had to be delayed because
- 21:15Speaker 2: he tested positive for COVID. Oh no, No, And that's
- 21:20Speaker 2: crazy because COVID's not even real if you're an oathkeeper,
- 21:24Speaker 2: right do they is a thing?
- 21:27Speaker 3: He's like, how did I get COVID? I'm not black exactly.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Stuart Rhodes. That's another thing where people are like, okay,
- 21:37Speaker 2: but everyone inside the capitol they were all FBI. And
- 21:39Speaker 2: that's a case where I'm like, no, probably not no
- 21:43Speaker 2: like that.
- 21:43Speaker 3: There are too many FBI agents.
- 21:47Speaker 2: That's a whole lot, like I'll buy and we have.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Way too much background on so many of them separate
- 21:53Speaker 3: from being in the FBI.
- 21:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing what people don't take into account
- 21:58Speaker 2: about those January sixth. Those motherfuckers rioted in one of
- 22:02Speaker 2: the most heavily surveilled areas in the country, Like, we
- 22:07Speaker 2: know what everyone looks like if there were a bunch
- 22:09Speaker 2: of FBI agents in there agitating.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Yeah, like that guy from Mister Show.
- 22:14Speaker 2: That's right. They were like Olympic swimmers.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Nuts, what the country?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Such a cross section of America coming together over their
- 22:27Speaker 2: shared desire to lynch Mike Pence.
- 22:31Speaker 3: If they had done that, then I would still care
- 22:33Speaker 3: about January. Like it just was such a nothing. I
- 22:36Speaker 3: was so mad that nothing happened anyway.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Yeah, If anything, it felt like a test of what
- 22:43Speaker 2: our current facial recognition capabilities are, because you got a
- 22:47Speaker 2: bunch of people at a time when we're all supposed
- 22:50Speaker 2: to be wearing masks. Yeah, the best possible moment to
- 22:53Speaker 2: wear a mask would be when you're storming the capitol,
- 22:56Speaker 2: and these motherfuckers were still too anti mask to wear
- 23:00Speaker 2: when storming the capitol.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Yep.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I feel like it was just a big test of all, right,
- 23:05Speaker 2: what are these facial recognition cameras we got, what can
- 23:08Speaker 2: they do? Let's see if we can identify every fucking person.
- 23:12Speaker 2: And I bet they did yeah, probably someday those photos
- 23:17Speaker 2: will be used to make trading card sets of the
- 23:19Speaker 2: people who storm the Capitol.
- 23:22Speaker 3: When I imagine if you storm the Capitol and then
- 23:25Speaker 3: you did it get arrested by the FBI like six
- 23:28Speaker 3: months later, Like, how do you not live the rest
- 23:31Speaker 3: of your life in total fear and paranoia? Yeacause like, oh,
- 23:36Speaker 3: I'm the one that they let go.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Oh no, when are they coming for me?
- 23:43Speaker 3: Right? Or like they're just watching me for whatever I do.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah. So back to Stuart Rhodes. He's the leader of
- 23:52Speaker 2: the Oathkeepers. He is not accused of going in the Capitol,
- 23:56Speaker 2: but he is accused of January sixth stuff and so
- 24:03Speaker 2: quarantine protocols they don't permit Roads to participate in his
- 24:06Speaker 2: trial via video conference or to be transported to the
- 24:10Speaker 2: court for at least a week. But he does have
- 24:12Speaker 2: the right to waive his in person presence during trial,
- 24:17Speaker 2: and he ended up just doing that, so he waived
- 24:21Speaker 2: his constitutional right to be present during the testimony of
- 24:24Speaker 2: eight government witnesses, who was his attorneys said were less
- 24:28Speaker 2: critical to his defense because they would speak to events
- 24:32Speaker 2: inside the Capitol and he's not accused of entering the
- 24:35Speaker 2: capital here's the thing. Why didn't he enter the capitol? Yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 2: you're the leader of the Oathkeepers. What were you doing?
- 24:42Speaker 2: He was jerking off outside?
- 24:44Speaker 3: I mean probably, yes, almost any of these fucking white
- 24:48Speaker 3: nationalists right wing groups, I don't think of their leaders
- 24:51Speaker 3: as paragons of bravery. I actually think of them as
- 24:55Speaker 3: people who are good at manipulating other people into being
- 24:58Speaker 3: paragons of bravery.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Right.
- 25:01Speaker 3: But also, I don't know, maybe he's a fucking maybe
- 25:04Speaker 3: he's a fit. There will not be a single accusation
- 25:07Speaker 3: you can make against Steward Roads of the Oathkeepers that
- 25:11Speaker 3: I would not at least consider. I mean, that might
- 25:14Speaker 3: be true.
- 25:15Speaker 2: It would absolutely be the easiest way to keep an
- 25:18Speaker 2: eye on the most extreme element in this country would
- 25:23Speaker 2: be for law enforcement to just set up their own
- 25:26Speaker 2: right wing group.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Sure, which but also the government is right wing.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Well yeah, that's the whole thing.
- 25:34Speaker 3: But also it might just be in it.
- 25:37Speaker 2: But a right wing government, it doesn't have room for
- 25:40Speaker 2: right wing Oh yeah, agitators like it's still gonna happen
- 25:44Speaker 2: to care a military wing.
- 25:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 25:48Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown dot substack dot com. I just wrote
- 25:51Speaker 2: an article about how we should stop arguing about whether
- 25:54Speaker 2: the United States is becoming fascist. We have always been fascist, absolutely,
- 26:00Speaker 2: been a moment when we weren't.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Do you know how many days of detention I got
- 26:04Speaker 3: as a kid for not saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Yeah, like, yeah,
- 26:11Speaker 3: I never said it.
- 26:12Speaker 2: That's one of the tenets of fascism is romantic symbolism
- 26:17Speaker 2: and this extreme nationalism. And people are like, we don't
- 26:20Speaker 2: have that. It's like, the fuck we don't.
- 26:22Speaker 3: The fuck we don't.
- 26:23Speaker 2: If nothing else, we've had it in full force since
- 26:27Speaker 2: the first War in Iraq.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Yes, ever since my whole life.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been that after that. I'm not joking at
- 26:34Speaker 2: all when I say there was the dream Team at
- 26:37Speaker 2: the nineteen ninety two US Olympics.
- 26:39Speaker 3: Sure.
- 26:40Speaker 2: We've been a highly fascist, highly patriotic country for yeah,
- 26:46Speaker 2: as long as most of the people I know have
- 26:48Speaker 2: been alive.
- 26:49Speaker 3: And it's just gone into overdrive after nine to eleven.
- 26:52Speaker 3: My sister doesn't know a country that isn't like this. Yeah,
- 26:57Speaker 3: it's awful.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's bad times. Road still sucks and Stuart Roads
- 27:02Speaker 2: fucking sucks.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah, he's never he dies of COVID.
- 27:05Speaker 2: That one would be awfully funny, but yes, yeah, for
- 27:10Speaker 2: these seditious conspiracy charges. He's facing a maximum penalty of
- 27:14Speaker 2: twenty years in prison, and I'm assuming he'll get something
- 27:17Speaker 2: more along the lines of probation and then he'll like
- 27:20Speaker 2: assassinate an elected official a few years later. Maybe I'm
- 27:26Speaker 2: interested to see how this plays out and what kind
- 27:28Speaker 2: of sure charges he does get because I joke about
- 27:32Speaker 2: him not going inside, but I think he's kind of
- 27:35Speaker 2: accused of being the general of it and like directing shit,
- 27:39Speaker 2: which is that's what people in charge of militaries do,
- 27:42Speaker 2: is they order them around from a safe distance.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Right. If he's the leader of the oathkeepers, then decent
- 27:50Speaker 3: percentage of people who were inside the building were there
- 27:53Speaker 3: at his behest. Yeah, if nothing else.
- 27:57Speaker 2: So let's talk about some good news for a change, Olivia. Okay, finally,
- 28:03Speaker 2: the two Thousand Mules book is available in stores.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Oh shit, Okay, I gotta, I gotta preorder it. Yeah.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Do you think it's available at Barnes and probably?
- 28:15Speaker 2: I mean NPR found the banned version of it in
- 28:18Speaker 2: Barnes and Noble. Sh this book? Oh man, we did
- 28:23Speaker 2: an episode about the movie version of two Thousand Mules,
- 28:30Speaker 2: which is yes, we did Denesh Desuza's highly respected and
- 28:35Speaker 2: flawlessly researched twenty twenty election fraud documentary.
- 28:40Speaker 3: That was co starring Sebastian Guerca and Charlie Kirk right.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Right right, and a dog who had his face blurred out.
- 28:52Speaker 2: That's still the absolute best moment from that documentary. Yeah. Absolutely,
- 29:00Speaker 2: here the dog's face to protect us. I donate that
- 29:06Speaker 2: was Alex Jones.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Okay, but I mean that's is much more spoken.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, of course. Yeah. You weren't on the episode
- 29:13Speaker 2: where we talked about this book being recalled that I
- 29:17Speaker 2: recorded with Andy Sell, So you weren't there when we
- 29:21Speaker 2: mentioned that. After two thousand Mules came out, it was
- 29:25Speaker 2: noted that all of the scenes of Denesh Desuza filming
- 29:28Speaker 2: in his home and in his office, not his home,
- 29:31Speaker 2: not his office. He just like staged all of that,
- 29:37Speaker 2: and it's like, you have a home, what's happening there
- 29:40Speaker 2: that you can't just film there?
- 29:42Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 29:44Speaker 2: And when they asked him about it, he was just like, movies, man,
- 29:48Speaker 2: some movies work. That is how Denesh Desuza talks. Well
- 29:51Speaker 2: mane just.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Movies make mom man movies man.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Fit creole accent on Denesh Desuza.
- 29:56Speaker 3: That is blowing my mind. It's so weird that part
- 30:02Speaker 3: is fake. Oh my god.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it's such a weird thing to fake.
- 30:08Speaker 5: Why not just have that on your set? Why just
- 30:11Speaker 5: have that happen on your set. You've got this whole
- 30:14Speaker 5: newsroom set. Oh my god, that movie is so shitty.
- 30:19Speaker 2: So this book came out and uh huh, it was
- 30:22Speaker 2: announced that it was coming out, and there's this immediate
- 30:25Speaker 2: recall and NPR actually drove around La traffic. They said
- 30:32Speaker 2: they were in La traffic for nine hours, just going
- 30:35Speaker 2: bookstore to bookstore looking for one who would have fucked
- 30:39Speaker 2: up and put those books out early before they got recalled.
- 30:43Speaker 2: And they found a copy at a Barnes and Noble
- 30:46Speaker 2: in the San Fernando Valley, And so they know what
- 30:50Speaker 2: was in the book before it was recalled.
- 30:52Speaker 3: That's funny. Why was it recalled?
- 30:54Speaker 2: Well, first, here's a quote about what was changed compared
- 30:59Speaker 2: to the version they found at that Barnes and Noble.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Most notably, a passage in the recalled version of the
- 31:05Speaker 2: book that accused specific named nonprofit organizations of involvement in
- 31:11Speaker 2: illegal ballot trafficking has been rewritten, softening certain claims and
- 31:16Speaker 2: outright removing the names of the groups end quote. The
- 31:21Speaker 2: NPR article also mentions that sections that purported to link
- 31:25Speaker 2: Black Lives Matter and Antifa to election fraud were removed.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And the obvious reason, like they even said it back
- 31:33Speaker 2: at the time, is if this book comes out the
- 31:35Speaker 2: way it's written, Denesh Jeseuz is getting sued into a boot. Yes,
- 31:40Speaker 2: because he is naming names and making these borderline treasonous
- 31:45Speaker 2: claims about these groups with.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Very little yeah in print, right, Well, what the.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Things he's accusing them of? I mean, hmm, libel on
- 31:56Speaker 2: his part for sure, But they're being accused of fixing
- 32:00Speaker 2: the fucking presidential election. That's not minor, Like if that
- 32:04Speaker 2: was proven to be true, that is not a thing,
- 32:06Speaker 2: Like you wouldn't get a slap on the wrist for that,
- 32:09Speaker 2: Like you're getting stoned in the town square. So what's
- 32:13Speaker 2: especially damning about this, though, is back in July, a
- 32:18Speaker 2: person who watched Two Thousand Mules told Denesh Desuza that
- 32:22Speaker 2: he wanted to see more evidence and would.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Be because there's no evidence in the movie itself.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that could have something to do with it. The
- 32:31Speaker 2: million hours of video footage and we get to see
- 32:33Speaker 2: three minutes of it. Yeah, And his response was that
- 32:38Speaker 2: the book version was coming out soon and that he
- 32:40Speaker 2: was gonna name names. This is a tweet from July.
- 32:44Speaker 2: I am going to reveal the names of several of
- 32:46Speaker 2: these nonprofit stash houses in my book two thousand Mules.
- 32:52Speaker 2: And so now all those names have been removed. And
- 32:55Speaker 2: that question from July still stands, can we see this evidence?
- 33:00Speaker 3: And also, I just you know, it seems like video
- 33:03Speaker 3: evidence would make more sense for a movie than the book.
- 33:07Speaker 3: But hey, I'm not the multi best seller Danish to
- 33:11Speaker 3: sus this, so what do I know. I do think
- 33:13Speaker 3: it's funny that he thinks of Antifa as an organization. Still,
- 33:18Speaker 3: that's just funny, Like it's like a place that has
- 33:21Speaker 3: like a leader that you can like get in trouble,
- 33:24Speaker 3: who like colludes with shit. Like that's not how that works. Sorry, man.
- 33:29Speaker 4: An ideology sure does not denesh And he was in
- 33:34Speaker 4: trouble in this regard even before the book came out,
- 33:37Speaker 4: because the group who provided most of the information for
- 33:43Speaker 4: the two Thousand Mules movie is called True the Vote,
- 33:47Speaker 4: and they executive produced the movie.
- 33:49Speaker 2: They supplied a lot of the evidence for it, and
- 33:53Speaker 2: They even distanced themselves from the book before it came out.
- 33:56Speaker 2: This is a quote from them. True the Vote had
- 33:58Speaker 2: no participation in this book and has no knowledge of
- 34:01Speaker 2: its contents. This includes any allegations of activities of any
- 34:06Speaker 2: specific organizations made in the book. We made no such allegations.
- 34:12Speaker 2: That's so bad for Denes de Susa.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Which organization got a pre release copy of this book
- 34:20Speaker 3: and called the net Jsuza and True the Vote and
- 34:23Speaker 3: threatened to sue them if this was published. It has
- 34:26Speaker 3: to be that. It's got to be, because I want
- 34:29Speaker 3: to know which one.
- 34:30Speaker 2: It obviously got to the point where the book had
- 34:34Speaker 2: been published, like it had been printed and was shipped
- 34:38Speaker 2: off the stores because Barnes and Noble had one.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's post movie being released because nothing is named,
- 34:45Speaker 3: no organizations are named in the movie. But True the
- 34:48Speaker 3: Vote is all over the fucking movie. They are all
- 34:52Speaker 3: over the movie.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Actually, I wonder if it is this next group that
- 34:58Speaker 2: I'm about to mention, I should also mention though in
- 35:01Speaker 2: the book. Now instead of those specific allegations, Denesh Desuza
- 35:05Speaker 2: just says, quote True the Vote shared their names with
- 35:08Speaker 2: me and has offered to make them available as needed
- 35:11Speaker 2: to the appropriate law enforcement authorities. End quote. Sure, sure, sure,
- 35:16Speaker 2: but also I bet this is the group that may
- 35:19Speaker 2: be caused this. In the film version, it's claimed that
- 35:22Speaker 2: True the Vote used a database from the Armed Conflict
- 35:26Speaker 2: Location and Event Data Project to make a connection between
- 35:32Speaker 2: Ballot Mules and Black Lives Matter and Antifa. That group,
- 35:37Speaker 2: the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, before the
- 35:40Speaker 2: book even came out, went public and demanded a correction
- 35:44Speaker 2: from Denesh Desuza over that claim. This is a quote,
- 35:48Speaker 2: this is not the type of analysis you can use
- 35:51Speaker 2: ACLED data for and it is highly unlikely that these
- 35:56Speaker 2: conclusions have any basis in fact. And that was before
- 36:02Speaker 2: the book came out, and now they're not mentioned in
- 36:04Speaker 2: the book at all.
- 36:06Speaker 3: Hey, I probably had that for the episode about the movie,
- 36:09Speaker 3: because that just is everything we were fucking saying about
- 36:14Speaker 3: that data that.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Oh man.
- 36:17Speaker 3: And what's funny is like they spent so much fucking
- 36:20Speaker 3: time in that movie explaining how they got all the
- 36:22Speaker 3: information and it's not creepy at all, and then the
- 36:28Speaker 3: company that does this for real is like, look, it's creepy.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I'm sorry, it's creepy.
- 36:34Speaker 2: You can't use the data for that I've read articles
- 36:37Speaker 2: with people since that movie came out who were like,
- 36:40Speaker 2: I was probably part of that data because I drive
- 36:45Speaker 2: to and from work past that dropbox all the time.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I was doing a lot of campaigning in the area.
- 36:51Speaker 2: So there's no way that person wasn't included as a
- 36:54Speaker 2: ballot mule in this insane fucking movie. But what sucks
- 36:59Speaker 2: is this movie he's gonna do its job.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 37:03Speaker 2: The people who want to believe the twenty twenty election
- 37:06Speaker 2: were stolen, they're not gonna listen to this podcast and
- 37:09Speaker 2: be like, well that Adam and Olivia they said Denes
- 37:12Speaker 2: Deeseuz is full of lies. No, they're just gonna believe it.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Are they even gonna read the book? You probably just
- 37:17Speaker 3: own it because you watch the movie.
- 37:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, I doubt many people are even gonna
- 37:22Speaker 2: read the book.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and no one's gonna know that this happened. No
- 37:26Speaker 3: one who is not us cares about these things being
- 37:30Speaker 3: factually accurate. Like you said, the target audience doesn't give
- 37:33Speaker 3: a shit about any of this legal stuff. They don't care,
- 37:37Speaker 3: doesn't matter.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Yeah, and ever since I had to sign up for
- 37:42Speaker 2: Denish de Seuz's fucking on locals or whatever, so we
- 37:46Speaker 2: could watch this goddamn movie. He is relentless with emails
- 37:53Speaker 2: and oh, I'm doing a live stream. Like you can tell.
- 37:57Speaker 2: He's just constantly in these motherfuckers ears with all of
- 38:01Speaker 2: his claims and all of his proof, and yeah, they're
- 38:04Speaker 2: not listening to any of this shit. They don't care
- 38:07Speaker 2: that the book was recalled. It's fun that it's been
- 38:11Speaker 2: recalled and that all these people are calling it into question,
- 38:14Speaker 2: but it's not going to help.
- 38:15Speaker 3: No, And we think it's fun. And I bet if
- 38:17Speaker 3: anybody on the quote unquote other side liam's about this,
- 38:21Speaker 3: they think it's funny too. Like they either get mad
- 38:25Speaker 3: about it, which feels their you know, craziness, or they
- 38:29Speaker 3: think it's funny because their brain is poisoned, right, And
- 38:34Speaker 3: so they're like, Ah, we got the libs mad with
- 38:36Speaker 3: this one.
- 38:37Speaker 2: They're running, let's talk about this next story. Yes, this
- 38:40Speaker 2: one is fascinating to me, but I don't know, probably
- 38:44Speaker 2: not for the reason it's supposed to be. There's a
- 38:47Speaker 2: new report from the human rights group Global Witness and
- 38:51Speaker 2: the Cybersecurity for Democracy team at New York University. You know,
- 38:55Speaker 2: the one that shows that Facebook and TikTok they held
- 39:00Speaker 2: to block paid advertisements spreading misinformation about voting in the
- 39:06Speaker 2: twenty twenty two midterm elections. That part I don't find
- 39:10Speaker 2: fascinating or surprising at all. I find it very run
- 39:14Speaker 2: of the mill. What I find fascinating is that they
- 39:18Speaker 2: actually ran this experiment on three platforms, one of them
- 39:23Speaker 2: being YouTube, and that YouTube actually passed and did manage
- 39:29Speaker 2: to block all of the misinformation that this group tried
- 39:33Speaker 2: to post.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Has YouTube gotten better? Like? Is the algorithm not as
- 39:39Speaker 3: shitty anymore? That might be cool.
- 39:41Speaker 2: It seems possible. What happened for this test, Global Witness
- 39:45Speaker 2: created dummy accounts on all three platforms and attempted to
- 39:50Speaker 2: run ten identical advertisements on each platform in both English
- 39:55Speaker 2: and Spanish. And each of those ads contained quote outright
- 40:00Speaker 2: false and misleading election misinformation end quote, as opposed to
- 40:05Speaker 2: the other kind of misinformation, which is true and helpful.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I guess the ads contain lies like you have to
- 40:11Speaker 2: be vaccinated to vote, or that you have to vote
- 40:15Speaker 2: twice for it to count. That's good writing right there.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Whoever came up with these ads put some thought into it.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I like that, And other ads just gave incorrect dates
- 40:24Speaker 2: for when voting was going to take place, and all
- 40:28Speaker 2: of the ads targeted battleground states, and all of the
- 40:31Speaker 2: ads clearly violated all three platforms policies. YouTube not only
- 40:39Speaker 2: was the only of those three platforms that blocked all
- 40:42Speaker 2: of the ads, it also blocked all of the accounts
- 40:46Speaker 2: that tried to run those ads.
- 40:48Speaker 3: That's good, Yeah, this is a quote.
- 40:50Speaker 2: YouTube's performance in our experiment demonstrates that detecting damaging election
- 40:55Speaker 2: information isn't impossible. But all the platforms we studied should
- 41:00Speaker 2: have gotten an A on this assignment. And since we're
- 41:03Speaker 2: talking about YouTube being the best, we should talk about
- 41:06Speaker 2: how TikTok if you can believe it was the absolute worst.
- 41:10Speaker 2: M They claim they don't even allow political advertising on
- 41:14Speaker 2: their platform, sure, whatever, But the only ad they managed
- 41:19Speaker 2: to block was the one that claimed you had to
- 41:21Speaker 2: be vaccinated against COVID to vote. Everything else got through,
- 41:25Speaker 2: and they also did not block any of the accounts
- 41:30Speaker 2: that posted those ads.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Right, go figure, great. I don't know anything else about TikTok.
- 41:35Speaker 3: I've never used TikTok. I'm too old.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Yeah. I briefly had set up and un pops TikTok
- 41:41Speaker 2: and had someone else running it. But now I don't
- 41:44Speaker 2: trust it. I don't trust TikTok at all.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, it's just not my vibe for one thing.
- 41:50Speaker 3: So I just don't know the details about how it
- 41:52Speaker 3: works there. But I do know that people like them
- 41:55Speaker 3: saying that they don't allow political like they almost have
- 41:58Speaker 3: a very specif a definition of political advertising. Yeah, because
- 42:04Speaker 3: there is definitely political shit all over TikTok, which is fine,
- 42:08Speaker 3: I gues. I mean, you know, it's a social media platform,
- 42:11Speaker 3: but still.
- 42:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like they don't get enough criticism for
- 42:16Speaker 2: the same kind of shit like Twitter and YouTube and
- 42:19Speaker 2: Facebook get criticism for.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Well. I do think it's a demographic problem, kind of
- 42:25Speaker 3: a unique thing. I mean, obviously, you know, older people
- 42:29Speaker 3: do use TikTok, but the user bases I have to
- 42:33Speaker 3: assume overwhelmingly young people.
- 42:35Speaker 2: And I think that is a big part of it.
- 42:37Speaker 2: I think a lot of it as well, young people
- 42:38Speaker 2: use it. How bad can it be?
- 42:40Speaker 3: Well, not just how bad can it be? But like
- 42:42Speaker 3: the people who are paying attention, like reporting on these things.
- 42:45Speaker 3: You know, reporters have a Twitter account, reporters have YouTube,
- 42:49Speaker 3: they have access to Facebook or whatever. I don't know
- 42:51Speaker 3: how many reporters have tiktoks. You know, again, I'm speaking
- 42:55Speaker 3: out my ass here, but it's just kind of what
- 42:57Speaker 3: my gut tells me about it.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Yeah, who knows, But who knows. The question that probably
- 43:03Speaker 2: everyone wants an answer to is no, these heads were
- 43:06Speaker 2: not actually shown to any users. Once good they were approved,
- 43:12Speaker 2: the researchers removed them immediately.
- 43:14Speaker 3: Well that's good.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And I just I found it interesting that YouTube
- 43:18Speaker 2: did as well as it did. Maybe they knew. Yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 2: maybe someone tipped them off, like when you own a
- 43:24Speaker 2: restaurant and someone's like, hey, a food reviewer's coming tonight
- 43:27Speaker 2: on your toe.
- 43:28Speaker 3: I will say my YouTube algorithm has felt less fucked
- 43:34Speaker 3: up by the shit that I watched for this podcast
- 43:37Speaker 3: than usual, you know what I mean?
- 43:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I would agree with that. Mine, Like, I don't.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Get as many recommendations for awful right wing shit or
- 43:46Speaker 3: just crazy people. Yeah, I get more actual recommendations.
- 43:51Speaker 2: It's just Bohemian Grove movies now.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I did just get a guy after
- 43:56Speaker 3: doing the Bohemian Grove episode. I did get a guy
- 43:59Speaker 3: who had like twenty different videos on his page that
- 44:03Speaker 3: were just about how the pyramids dominate every aspect of
- 44:07Speaker 3: our lives. Because I watched all of them. They were
- 44:12Speaker 3: like a minute each.
- 44:14Speaker 2: Were you convinced?
- 44:16Speaker 3: No, oh, no, not at all. But it was interesting
- 44:20Speaker 3: to see this man's sickness.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Uh this next story. Of all the scandals involving China,
- 44:28Speaker 2: none has hit closer to home for me than the
- 44:32Speaker 2: Huawei spying scandal.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Well, we're just all in on Huawei right now.
- 44:37Speaker 2: The thing is back when the government first started railing
- 44:40Speaker 2: against Huawei phones and how the Chinese government could use
- 44:45Speaker 2: them to spy on us, I immediately bought a Huawei
- 44:48Speaker 2: phone because my first thought was this sounds like you
- 44:52Speaker 2: can't spy on me with this phone. And that's the
- 44:54Speaker 2: real problem because I'm just barely a Chinese dissident if
- 44:59Speaker 2: at all. So if they need to spy on me,
- 45:02Speaker 2: that's a okay. I don't want the American government spying
- 45:06Speaker 2: on me, and so my immediate thought was, Okay, I'm
- 45:09Speaker 2: going to get a Wawei phone. It was almost like,
- 45:12Speaker 2: you know, your parents tell you not to do something,
- 45:14Speaker 2: so you're like, okay, well, I'm obviously going to do
- 45:16Speaker 2: that now that you told me not to. And Olivia,
- 45:19Speaker 2: here's the thing. It's still maybe the best goddamn phone
- 45:22Speaker 2: I've ever owned. Yeah, they make a really good phone.
- 45:27Speaker 2: I believe, still the number two smartphone maker in the world.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Everywhere else, Huawei phones are perfectly acceptable and widely used,
- 45:40Speaker 2: and it's just here that we don't allow them because
- 45:44Speaker 2: we claim it's because the Chinese government could spy on us,
- 45:47Speaker 2: but we really just I guess the mainstream argument would
- 45:50Speaker 2: be that the United States wants their companies to build
- 45:52Speaker 2: all the five G infrastructure in this country. I think
- 45:57Speaker 2: they just don't want rural areas to get five G
- 46:00Speaker 2: too soon, and Huawei is already putting all that shit
- 46:03Speaker 2: in So yeah, whatever the case.
- 46:05Speaker 3: But like, you can buy it. It's not like it's banned.
- 46:09Speaker 2: You can, but it's a lot harder now. Sure they
- 46:12Speaker 2: were never like widely marketed in the United States, but
- 46:17Speaker 2: I think even like on Amazon, now I don't know
- 46:19Speaker 2: if you can even buy them anymore. And god damn it, it
- 46:23Speaker 2: was such a good phone. It was like having an
- 46:25Speaker 2: iPhone at like Android prices. It was so nice.
- 46:30Speaker 3: And I've got the Samsung, which is like having an
- 46:34Speaker 3: Android iPhone prices, but I do like it.
- 46:38Speaker 2: But yeah, I have an iPhone. I finally broke down
- 46:41Speaker 2: and I switched over to an iPhone when I got
- 46:44Speaker 2: my last.
- 46:45Speaker 3: I'm all about the Android. I'm all in. I got
- 46:48Speaker 3: a Samsung computer for school. I got a Samsung earbuds.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Oh I like Samsung.
- 46:54Speaker 3: I'm big. I love the Samsung. Shit. I can't help it.
- 46:57Speaker 3: It just works for me.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they make a good product. So anyway, the Huaweie,
- 47:04Speaker 2: the Huawei scandal. It eventually culminated in Canada arresting the
- 47:10Speaker 2: CEO of Huawei and having her extradited to the United
- 47:14Speaker 2: States to face like spying charges. And that's what this
- 47:18Speaker 2: most recent development is about. Two Chinese intelligence officers apparently
- 47:23Speaker 2: tried to bribe a US law enforcement official to get
- 47:27Speaker 2: information about the case against the Huawei CEO. I don't
- 47:32Speaker 2: think I care. On the list of things intelligence agencies
- 47:36Speaker 2: across the board have done, this seems like page one.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Like you open the book. You're an intelligence agent. You
- 47:44Speaker 2: open your manual to find out what you do in
- 47:46Speaker 2: this situation to get information. And the first thing it
- 47:49Speaker 2: says is have you offered him sixty one thousand dollars
- 47:53Speaker 2: in bitcoin? And you go, oh, no, I haven't tried that.
- 47:56Speaker 2: You slide a stack of bitcoin across the table and
- 48:00Speaker 2: see what happens, and that's what happened here, and it
- 48:03Speaker 2: didn't work. Turned out it was a double agent who
- 48:04Speaker 2: was also working for the FBI.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Then we'll see that. I'll get you now, I'll get you.
- 48:09Speaker 3: I mean whatever. This sounds like, yeah, like you said,
- 48:11Speaker 3: intelligent shit. I think it's crazy that Canada arrested this
- 48:16Speaker 3: corporation ceo, an accuser of spying, and then center to us, which.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Is yeah, because because Canada. There's a reason people flee
- 48:28Speaker 2: to Canada. Yeah, it's because they don't usually extradite people
- 48:32Speaker 2: back and like.
- 48:33Speaker 3: And look, not to speak ill of the American prison system,
- 48:39Speaker 3: but I hear it's not great. I don't think it's
- 48:43Speaker 3: world class. I'm pretty sure it's bottom of the barrel.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Yeah. The whole Huawei thing just seemed weird to me.
- 48:51Speaker 2: It feels more like like a favor to American telecommunications
- 48:56Speaker 2: companies to keep Huawei from getting all the five G
- 49:00Speaker 2: infrastructure in place before they were able to.
- 49:03Speaker 3: I mean that wouldn't surprise me necessarily, I don't know,
- 49:06Speaker 3: but it definitely is weird.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Yeah, damn it. They make a nice phone, all right.
- 49:11Speaker 2: This next story Newsmax bands Lara Logan after QAnon rant.
- 49:18Speaker 3: You always love when you hear a band from newsnext story. Yeah,
- 49:22Speaker 3: we watched the Fuck of My billow Guy documentary where
- 49:25Speaker 3: they distanced themselves from it. Like it's always fun because
- 49:28Speaker 3: you know you're getting some wild shit.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like they're trying to be like the moderate
- 49:33Speaker 2: Nazi network and it's like there's no such thing. Just
- 49:37Speaker 2: stop it. Yeah, Lara Logan is a complicated figure. It's
- 49:40Speaker 2: twenty twenty two. I know we're supposed to just immediately
- 49:44Speaker 2: hate everyone who says anything QAnon related, but also, like,
- 49:49Speaker 2: fuck off, Lara Logan has been through some shit sure,
- 49:53Speaker 2: and by that I mean she was, according to her account,
- 49:57Speaker 2: brutally gang raped during an Arab spring celebration in Egypt,
- 50:05Speaker 2: and the details of that, at least according to her
- 50:08Speaker 2: and the people who were with her, are fucking horrifying, right,
- 50:13Speaker 2: But it also seems like people don't necessarily believe her.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Yeah, well, it's complicated when you spend your career promoting
- 50:23Speaker 3: hatred against a bunch of different groups of people, including
- 50:26Speaker 3: people who belong to the group who you say attack
- 50:30Speaker 3: you Like that's a classic racist tactic. And so as
- 50:34Speaker 3: much as it is believe women and I'm not saying
- 50:37Speaker 3: that nothing happened to her. I'm definitely not saying that.
- 50:40Speaker 3: But you know, you have to expect a little bit
- 50:43Speaker 3: of skepticism if you are feeding into the racist machine
- 50:48Speaker 3: in the way they.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Are, right. The thing is, the skepticism started before she
- 50:54Speaker 2: started feeding into the racist machine. Sure there's a twenty
- 50:58Speaker 2: fourteen New Yorker article or New York magazine. Now I'm
- 51:01Speaker 2: gonna get sued New York Magazine article that she eventually
- 51:07Speaker 2: filed a defamation suit over because it described what happened
- 51:12Speaker 2: to her as she had her clothes torn off and
- 51:16Speaker 2: she was groped, And that is a radically different description
- 51:23Speaker 2: of events than what Laura Logan and people she was
- 51:27Speaker 2: with say happened. So I don't know. If it happened
- 51:31Speaker 2: the way it did and her media colleagues downplayed it,
- 51:35Speaker 2: I could see why she would be upset. I guess
- 51:37Speaker 2: I don't know if it's necessarily a reason to embrace QAnon.
- 51:41Speaker 2: But I'm also not sure there's not some PTSD issues involved.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Maybe, And I'm sure a lot of people who believe
- 51:49Speaker 3: in hateful theories have similar trauma, not maybe not similar.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Noah have suffered trauma, but like, I'm sorry, a lot
- 51:58Speaker 3: of people have suffered and don't become right wing avatars.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not apologizing for Laura Logan. I'm not
- 52:05Speaker 2: saying you are being what she is now. Yeah, I
- 52:10Speaker 2: just I think I, like a lot of other people,
- 52:13Speaker 2: wonder how it happened the way it did because she
- 52:16Speaker 2: used to be like she used to be on fucking
- 52:18Speaker 2: sixty minutes. I mean, a lot of it has to
- 52:20Speaker 2: do she filed a report on ben Ghazi that people
- 52:26Speaker 2: called into question, and it seems like a lot of
- 52:30Speaker 2: it started kind of going downhill after that. But that
- 52:33Speaker 2: was also post Arab Spring incident. But now she's full QAnon,
- 52:40Speaker 2: like yes all the way. Like again, she got banned
- 52:44Speaker 2: from Newsmax.
- 52:46Speaker 3: That takes a look.
- 52:47Speaker 2: What Yeah, this is her quote in full. Here we go.
- 52:52Speaker 2: I'll just read the fucking quote. God believes in sovereignty
- 52:55Speaker 2: and national identity and the sanctity of family and all
- 52:59Speaker 2: the things that we lived with from the beginning of time,
- 53:02Speaker 2: and he knows that the open border is Satan's way
- 53:06Speaker 2: of taking control of the world through all of these
- 53:10Speaker 2: people who are his stooges and his servants and they
- 53:13Speaker 2: may think that they're going to become gods. That's what
- 53:16Speaker 2: they tell us, you know, the ones who want us
- 53:18Speaker 2: eating insects, cockroaches and that while they dine on the
- 53:22Speaker 2: blood of children. Those are the people, right, They're not
- 53:24Speaker 2: gonna win. They're not gonna win. God damn Laura Logan.
- 53:28Speaker 3: It sounds like she's describing snow Piercer.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and it also sounds like she wants to be
- 53:33Speaker 2: the one dining on the blood of children. She's like,
- 53:35Speaker 2: why do I gotta eat the roaches while they're drinking
- 53:38Speaker 2: kids and blood?
- 53:40Speaker 3: That's not fair?
- 53:41Speaker 2: Where's my l fair point?
- 53:43Speaker 3: Didn't that absolutely kids? Yeah, that's crazy that there's just
- 53:49Speaker 3: nothing else. I mean, she's just obviously disturbed in some
- 53:53Speaker 3: way and is fully in on this shit. It's kind
- 53:56Speaker 3: of sad, but it's happened so many times that I
- 54:00Speaker 3: just can't get too upset when someone falls to the
- 54:05Speaker 3: dark side.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Yeah, in this case, I mean, I'm not upset. I
- 54:09Speaker 2: think it's shocking that anyone gets banned from Newsmax. Yes,
- 54:14Speaker 2: that's more the thing. Yeah, I don't know. Her fucking
- 54:18Speaker 2: character arc has been fucking wild.
- 54:22Speaker 3: I just God believes in sovereignty and national id. What
- 54:27Speaker 3: a boring God you.
- 54:28Speaker 2: Have, I know, And it's that same American exceptionalism, fucking
- 54:34Speaker 2: narcissistic bullshit where it's like, mm hmm, you think God
- 54:39Speaker 2: cares that much about the southern border of the United States?
- 54:43Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 54:44Speaker 2: Fuck off? What version of God are you thinking of?
- 54:49Speaker 2: The one that blesses the USA? Obviously the Yeah.
- 54:52Speaker 3: The American Christian God, which is all of that's what
- 54:56Speaker 3: it is.
- 54:57Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing Christian nationalism has become. I think
- 55:01Speaker 2: that's gonna be like the global problem because that's such
- 55:05Speaker 2: a convenient umbrella for all these fucking hate groups to
- 55:09Speaker 2: align under.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Ethno nationalism and Chrysto fascism. You know, you say that
- 55:15Speaker 3: America is a fascist nation. It's a Chrysto fascist nation. Yeah,
- 55:19Speaker 3: we have a Judeo Christian fascist oligarchy basically pretty much. Cool.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Yay, all right, let's close on something that I think
- 55:30Speaker 2: crosses party lines we can all agree most importance, the
- 55:36Speaker 2: Biden administration has been sued over the delayed release of
- 55:41Speaker 2: jfk assassination files. There's got to be something in those
- 55:46Speaker 2: files at this point. It's a nonprofit group that's suing
- 55:49Speaker 2: the Mary Farrell Foundation, which keeps a comprehensive online database
- 55:54Speaker 2: of records related to the JFK assassination. In the suit,
- 55:58Speaker 2: lawyers a nineteen ninety two federal law, the President John F.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act, which set October twenty seventh,
- 56:09Speaker 2: twenty seventeen, as the deadline for the government to make
- 56:14Speaker 2: records related to the incident available to the public. Trump
- 56:17Speaker 2: was in office when that happened, and he just decided
- 56:20Speaker 2: to push it back to twenty twenty one, which is
- 56:22Speaker 2: kind of funny.
- 56:23Speaker 3: Yeah, very almost like kick the can.
- 56:26Speaker 2: Yeah, just kick it down to Biden right before the
- 56:28Speaker 2: fucking mid terms, halfway through his presidency. And when that
- 56:33Speaker 2: date came around, Biden signed another memo and delayed the
- 56:38Speaker 2: release until December twenty twenty two, after the midterms. And
- 56:43Speaker 2: so this group, I guess, wants those records to come
- 56:46Speaker 2: out immediately, because it's almost December twenty twenty two, it is,
- 56:51Speaker 2: that's not that far away. There's gotta be some crazy
- 56:55Speaker 2: shit in those records.
- 56:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, but also like if there was, then
- 57:00Speaker 3: why wouldn't whoever was I don't know, could the people
- 57:03Speaker 3: who were implicated not do anything to these records? So
- 57:08Speaker 3: that when they're released, it's not implicating. I don't know.
- 57:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they could be going back and redacting
- 57:14Speaker 2: them more. But I think then what's the point of release.
- 57:17Speaker 3: They have done that before twenty seventeen. Honestly, at this point,
- 57:20Speaker 3: if I were Biden, I would push it back to
- 57:22Speaker 3: November of twenty twenty three, because then it's sixty years.
- 57:26Speaker 2: Yeah, rush it back clean, push it back to thirty
- 57:28Speaker 2: twenty three.
- 57:29Speaker 3: I just I cannot presently care about the JFK assassination,
- 57:35Speaker 3: like I get it as like an intellectual like I'm
- 57:37Speaker 3: not anti assassination conspiracy theories. It just it's sixty years.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the thing. I wonder if there's something in
- 57:48Speaker 2: it that would maybe lead to like a domino effect
- 57:52Speaker 2: where we find out, oh, that's how the JFK assassination happened. Right,
- 57:56Speaker 2: maybe we should look into Malcolm X and MLK and
- 58:00Speaker 2: well Bobby Kennedy because the Bobby Kennedy assassination is the
- 58:04Speaker 2: shadiest of them all.
- 58:05Speaker 3: Right, Well, it's interesting that both times it's gotten delayed
- 58:10Speaker 3: to past a midterm election, which makes you think it's
- 58:14Speaker 3: gonna be something that like Biden or Trump would think
- 58:18Speaker 3: would sway a midterm election, but again, like Trump's a Republican,
- 58:22Speaker 3: Biden's a Democrat, what would the information possibly be and
- 58:25Speaker 3: how would it sway a midterm? And also, is there
- 58:28Speaker 3: any sort of news, especially sixty year old news, that
- 58:32Speaker 3: would sway someone's voting preference right now?
- 58:38Speaker 2: There could be fucking I don't know.
- 58:40Speaker 3: I guess there could be, but I don't know what.
- 58:42Speaker 2: It would What if it says the FBI did it?
- 58:44Speaker 3: But then how is that affecting the midterm?
- 58:46Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah, the midterm thing could just be coincidence,
- 58:50Speaker 2: but there has to be a reason they keep.
- 58:53Speaker 3: But he delayed it to right after the midterm, right.
- 58:57Speaker 2: So again, the midterm thing could be incidents or yeah,
- 59:01Speaker 2: maybe it's something he thinks will sway it. But there's
- 59:05Speaker 2: gotta be fucking something in there.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Baby, I don't know, I would. I'm sure we're doing
- 59:09Speaker 3: an episode about whatever's in there.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Yeah, pending our lawsuit if the records ever come out,
- 59:16Speaker 2: I still.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Really will December hopefully.
- 59:19Speaker 2: I still really want more information about Bobby Kennedy. That
- 59:23Speaker 2: is the weirder. I get that Sir Hans Sirhan didn't
- 59:26Speaker 2: like the guy, but he also was not in close
- 59:29Speaker 2: enough physical proximity to fire the shot that killed Bobby Kennedy.
- 59:33Speaker 2: He was shot at point blank range behind his left ear.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Sir Hans Sir Han didn't get to within point blank
- 59:40Speaker 2: range of Bobby Kennedy at all. There's video like that's known. Yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 2: so someone else killed him, but we'll never know who.
- 59:48Speaker 2: I mean, it was the security guard who was walking
- 59:50Speaker 2: him through the kitchen, but we'll never know.
- 59:52Speaker 3: Who it was. The Yeah, the LAPD, I mean right,
- 59:56Speaker 3: I thought that was I think it's am I just
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: like saying that's going to give people mad at me.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: No, the security guard who was walking him through the
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: kitchen was like a right wing type and LAPD. So
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: I think we've reached the end of the episode. Do
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: we have anything to plug before we get out of here?
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Uh, you can plug going back. It's our Lost Rewatch podcast.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: It's great time.

- 1:01:04Speaker 2: I might write an article about flame and hot mountain dew.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: You know that was a thing. God, Oh yeah, people.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Need it just made my stomach hurt. You saying that
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: people need to.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Quit acting like flaming hot cheetos or some kind of
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: delicacy a fucking life.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean yeah, it's become like a personality trait
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: for people. I just like the taste, that's it. It's
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: a snack.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Yeah, But I refuse to take shit about eating at
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Arby's from people who stand in line for two hours

- 1:01:40Speaker 3: those people. Honest.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: That's that's not gourmet food. That is Midwest fair food
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: at best. Yeah.
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: So the Midwest fair food usually doesn't have hot cheetos.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: I think it's starting to now, but I hope not yet.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Give me that fucking corn dog. That's all I want.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: I want a corn dog the size of a baby arm.

- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Chips, a fork. Hell yeah, let's go to a fair.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Let's go to jazz Fest and Sioux Falls. It's actually fair.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: The state fair here in India.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Actually very fun. So yeah, Adam tod Brown out substock
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: dot com. I think that's it. Let's get out of
