- 0:18Speaker 1: recording will help you find peace with food and kindness
- 0:23Speaker 1: towards your body, all whilst drifting into a beautiful night's sleep.
- 0:29Speaker 1: And the narrative has been inspired by my own journey
- 0:33Speaker 1: where I moved away from chronic dieting and disordered eating
- 0:37Speaker 1: towards a healthy acceptance of my natural curves and a
- 0:41Speaker 1: healthy approach to eating and exercising with a moderate amount
- 0:45Speaker 1: of treats. And the setting is the most beautiful place
- 0:49Speaker 1: in Sydney, Australia and the beaches of Manly, which create
- 0:53Speaker 1: a beautiful natural backdrop for the healing transformation you will experience.
- 0:59Speaker 1: And I've also had input on the narrative from an
- 1:02Speaker 1: eating disorder specialist in the US. So thank you very
- 1:05Speaker 1: much to you for your help in creating a lovely
- 1:09Speaker 1: narrative for our listeners that I'm sure they will find
- 1:13Speaker 1: very helpful. And a big hello to all my subscribers

- 2:12Speaker 1: to relax and let go of the day, listening to
- 2:18Speaker 1: my words as they wash over you. And drifting down
- 2:26Speaker 1: into a deep state of peace. This is a beautiful
- 2:34Speaker 1: time that you can look forward to every night. As
- 2:41Speaker 1: you climb into bed and pull the soft covers over you.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So you might like to spend a few moments now.
- 2:54Speaker 1: stretching out the kinks of the day release and relax
- 3:03Speaker 1: your shoulders move your head side to side stretch your
- 3:16Speaker 1: hands just find the most comfortable position for you when
- 3:26Speaker 1: you're ready just gently closing down your eyelids sinking deeper
- 3:41Speaker 1: into the surface below you feeling the support and the
- 3:50Speaker 1: connection being gently aware of our lovely hypno community. You
- 4:06Speaker 1: are connected with other people who are also listening in
- 4:13Speaker 1: in their beds. Softly. Calmly. In distant lands. You are
- 4:32Speaker 1: not alone. We are all here. Feeling that connection. The
- 4:46Speaker 1: shared human experience. united in a common purpose, to heal
- 5:04Speaker 1: and be healed, to rest.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And relax.
- 5:17Speaker 1: And as you relax, you might like to take a
- 5:23Speaker 1: couple of nice deep breaths in through the nose and
- 5:30Speaker 1: out through the mouth in through the nose and out
- 5:40Speaker 1: through the mouth and as you release that last breath
- 5:50Speaker 1: you feel your body sink even deeper the mattress below
- 5:56Speaker 1: you and you may notice sounds in the foreground within
- 6:07Speaker 1: these four walls perhaps further afield maybe voices in the
- 6:21Speaker 1: distance Or a siren.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Further.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Further away. Tuning in to these different stimuli. You may
- 6:44Speaker 1: observe the temperature of the air on your skin. The
- 7:01Speaker 1: way your limbs connect with the surface below you. The
- 7:09Speaker 1: way that thoughts seem to rise like bubbles. And then pass.
- 7:23Speaker 1: And up to the surface. Float away. as your mind
- 7:32Speaker 1: moves from different stimuli, just observing, just noticing, and since
- 7:50Speaker 1: you're feeling more relaxed now, I would like you to
- 7:55Speaker 1: imagine you're standing at a pause ready to embark on
- 8:04Speaker 1: a ferry that will take you to a beautiful beach
- 8:08Speaker 1: for the day. The ferry is large and painted cream
- 8:22Speaker 1: with a green hull. The name of the boat is
- 8:31Speaker 1: A New Dawn This boat will take you to your
- 8:40Speaker 1: beachside destination, but will also lull you deep into relaxation
- 8:50Speaker 1: as you travel smoothly across the water. Such a beautiful day,
- 9:01Speaker 1: a warm and sunny morning. The sun shines down and
- 9:10Speaker 1: warms your body gently. And since the weather is so good,
- 9:19Speaker 1: it might be nice to sit at the top of
- 9:21Speaker 1: the boat. There are steps leading up to the top
- 9:29Speaker 1: part of the boat. With each step you take, you
- 9:34Speaker 1: will float higher and higher. into an easy state of
- 9:42Speaker 1: deep relaxation. As I count the steps off from 1
- 9:51Speaker 1: to 5 you will feel more relaxed and peaceful. One,
- 10:00Speaker 1: gently flowing with my words. Two, up and up, easy
- 10:08Speaker 1: and peaceful. Three, looking forward to your lovely day. Four,
- 10:18Speaker 1: the more you let go the better you feel. Five,
- 10:24Speaker 1: all the way up to that beautiful sunny spot at
- 10:30Speaker 1: the top of the boat. And when you reach the
- 10:37Speaker 1: top of the boat you can see out across the harbour.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It's the most delightful view. The sunlight sparkles on the water.
- 10:56Speaker 1: The water is a gorgeous shade of blue that plays
- 11:01Speaker 1: with the light on these fine days. You have a
- 11:05Speaker 1: nice wooden seat to sit on, a prime spot to
- 11:10Speaker 1: enjoy this journey across the bay. As the boat begins
- 11:20Speaker 1: to move on its journey, you can feel the fresh
- 11:24Speaker 1: breeze on your skin and hair. It's so lovely to
- 11:32Speaker 1: take a relaxing day for you. Some time out to
- 11:38Speaker 1: focus on your health and well-being and to begin to
- 11:44Speaker 1: heal your relationship. with food and your body. And it's
- 11:56Speaker 1: something you may have been wanting to do for a
- 11:58Speaker 1: long time now. To find peace and acceptance of the
- 12:07Speaker 1: unique and wonderful person that you are. And by listening
- 12:15Speaker 1: to my narrative you can begin to move away from
- 12:23Speaker 1: any unhelpful conceptions of the body as our society has
- 12:40Speaker 1: such a narrow definition of beauty which can sometimes lead
- 12:47Speaker 1: us be dissatisfied with our natural shape. And this dissatisfaction
- 13:02Speaker 1: can lead to frustration, dieting, sometimes chronic dieting and overall
- 13:18Speaker 1: unrealistic expectations of who we think we should be and
- 13:30Speaker 1: on this journey as we move away from the port
- 13:36Speaker 1: towards the peaceful beachside resort you will also be moving
- 13:45Speaker 1: away from these unhelpful conceptions and moving towards a deep
- 13:54Speaker 1: acceptance of the body you have been blessed with to
- 14:01Speaker 1: become the healthiest and happiest version of you rather than
- 14:11Speaker 1: comparing yourself to a photoshopped image of someone you're not.
- 14:23Speaker 1: And many of us from time to time, particularly when
- 14:28Speaker 1: we're young, can get sucked into thinking about these narrow
- 14:34Speaker 1: conceptions of beauty and have paid the price for doing so.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I myself can relate to this as I felt that
- 14:49Speaker 1: life would really begin when I could achieve the tiny
- 14:54Speaker 1: size I was once age 16. But in actual fact
- 15:02Speaker 1: as adults we all have a natural set weight which
- 15:09Speaker 1: is the weight we find ourselves we exercise, eat well
- 15:16Speaker 1: and don't restrict our food intake. That is our perfect weight,
- 15:29Speaker 1: the version of ourselves as the unique individual that we
- 15:32Speaker 1: are and on this journey we're finding freedom with food,
- 15:41Speaker 1: an acceptance of your shape, a confidence within yourself that
- 15:49Speaker 1: goes beyond what the label on the clothes say. A
- 15:58Speaker 1: deep acceptance of the unique beauty you possess. It takes time,
- 16:11Speaker 1: but you will as the days and the nights go
- 16:15Speaker 1: by you will find peace and balance and equilibrium in
- 16:26Speaker 1: mind and body will help you move forward into a
- 16:35Speaker 1: new and healthier relationship with food and with yourself and
- 16:54Speaker 1: as you look out across the water you can see
- 16:59Speaker 1: small boats passing by larger boats taller boats all wending
- 17:13Speaker 1: their way through the water All beautiful, yet unique in
- 17:22Speaker 1: their own special way. Carving through the waves on their
- 17:28Speaker 1: own course. And you feel a sense of freedom, positivity
- 17:38Speaker 1: and optimism. As you realise you have an amazing opportunity
- 17:44Speaker 1: to really set yourself up now. healthy, confident and carefree
- 17:53Speaker 1: approach to food and exercise. And as you move towards
- 18:00Speaker 1: the new port, you can let go of the past.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Let go of any negative comments that may have been
- 18:10Speaker 1: made by others about who they think you should be
- 18:15Speaker 1: or how they think you should look. is simply a
- 18:19Speaker 1: reflection of their own insecurities and flawed narrow perception of beauty.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You bid farewell because you realise that is all in
- 18:30Speaker 1: the past now, their opinions cannot touch you as you
- 18:36Speaker 1: move forward, knowing that you are on the right path
- 18:42Speaker 1: in accepting yourself. you are a beautiful and unique individual
- 18:57Speaker 1: and you realise that there is so much more out
- 19:00Speaker 1: there to enjoy. So many good feelings to harness when
- 19:11Speaker 1: you find peace with your natural curves, your set weight
- 19:20Speaker 1: and with Food is just food. It's just energy for
- 19:25Speaker 1: your body. And from now on you are moving forward
- 19:31Speaker 1: into a straightforward relationship with food. Normally eating three meals
- 19:41Speaker 1: a day. Healthy, nutritionally balanced meals. A few treats. Regular exercise.
- 19:51Speaker 1: which doesn't have to be every day, 3 times a
- 19:55Speaker 1: week is perfect, listening to your hunger cues, resting at
- 20:03Speaker 1: night and feeling energised.
- 20:06Speaker 2: In the day.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You are moving away from any conceptions of restrictive dieting.
- 20:16Speaker 1: The desire for a quick fix, it doesn't work. If
- 20:22Speaker 1: it did, you wouldn't be listening to me now. You
- 20:27Speaker 1: are letting go of all of this now and moving
- 20:32Speaker 1: forward into a moderate approach to food and exercise. is
- 20:40Speaker 1: in the distant memory of the city behind you as
- 20:44Speaker 1: you move forth into the openness and beauty of the
- 20:49Speaker 1: soft sandy beaches of Manly. An expansion in your mind
- 21:00Speaker 1: and body and as if by magic you are transported
- 21:11Speaker 1: the ferry and down onto the beachfront promenade. The promenade
- 21:23Speaker 1: is characterised by swathes of tall pine trees that flank
- 21:30Speaker 1: the beachside vista. Their tall chocolate brown trunks grow tall
- 21:38Speaker 1: and proud And the large branches are covered in pine needles.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Hundreds and thousands and millions of the dark green needle-shaped
- 21:52Speaker 1: leaves covering each pendulous branch. The fresh scent of pine
- 22:04Speaker 1: invigorates you as you take a gentle walk along the promenade.
- 22:10Speaker 1: towards Shelley Beach, a lovely little cove at the end
- 22:19Speaker 1: of Manly Beach. You move gently and peacefully along the promenade.
- 22:27Speaker 1: You're feeling energised, happy, so comfortable in your own skin.
- 22:35Speaker 1: The clothes that you wear are not too tight. They
- 22:39Speaker 1: allow you to breathe move, be comfortable and happy and
- 22:46Speaker 1: you enjoy looking out across the sea as the waves
- 22:50Speaker 1: roll in on the shoreline the white foam lapping at
- 22:54Speaker 1: the shore moving in and out in and out rhythmically
- 23:06Speaker 1: you can feel a deep sense peace and self-acceptance as
- 23:13Speaker 1: you are moving forward into this straightforward relationship with food,
- 23:19Speaker 1: exercise and self-care. As you look across the waves, their
- 23:31Speaker 1: movement ever-changing, you recognise this as the similarities of the
- 23:41Speaker 1: passing nature of our emotions. Sometimes stress, other times anxiety, anger,
- 23:57Speaker 1: frustration or loneliness. These emotions may have triggered you to
- 24:06Speaker 1: overeat in the past, now you recognize these feelings are
- 24:12Speaker 1: transient and food is just food it's not a friend
- 24:19Speaker 1: or an anger management tool it's just energy for your
- 24:24Speaker 1: body and now you're using much more healthy coping strategies
- 24:31Speaker 1: to manage your emotions to live your life with more
- 24:36Speaker 1: balance instead of turning to food for solace, the emotions
- 24:43Speaker 1: are like the waves on the beach, they too shall
- 24:48Speaker 1: come to pass, moving on across the shoreline, the shifting
- 24:56Speaker 1: sounds of time, moving away from the centre of manly
- 25:10Speaker 1: looking forward to spending some time in a beautiful little
- 25:13Speaker 1: cove at the end of the beach the secluded bay
- 25:20Speaker 1: with sand lovely rocks and smooth pebbles washed in and
- 25:26Speaker 1: out by the sea such a quiet and peaceful spot
- 25:33Speaker 1: where you can really take time to heal and find
- 25:37Speaker 1: peace with you Such a lovely time for a swim
- 25:49Speaker 1: in the cool and refreshing waters. You lay your soft
- 25:54Speaker 1: large towel on the sand and carefully undress. As you
- 26:02Speaker 1: take off your clothes you feel totally unselfconscious. You feel
- 26:08Speaker 1: comfortable in your body. and you're really enjoying being here
- 26:13Speaker 1: right now, taking in the sights and the sounds and
- 26:19Speaker 1: bathing your soul in this beautiful and natural tranquil scene.
- 26:32Speaker 1: You take some steps gently into the water, submerge your
- 26:37Speaker 1: body in the crystal clear sea waves lap gently around
- 26:47Speaker 1: you and the water feels amazingly fresh and cleansing on
- 26:53Speaker 1: your skin. As you begin to swim your limbs take
- 27:04Speaker 1: smooth strokes, you feel powerful and strong as your arms
- 27:11Speaker 1: and legs carve through the water. propelling you forward, cleansing
- 27:18Speaker 1: and refreshing you completely. Swimming gently across the bay, moving
- 27:26Speaker 1: with grace and ease. It feels amazing to take this
- 27:31Speaker 1: time to exercise. The cool water is so invigorating. as
- 27:42Speaker 1: if your whole body feels energized and alive you're feeling
- 27:51Speaker 1: good about you feeling the water all around you the
- 28:03Speaker 1: swirl of the tide so beautiful to be in the
- 28:11Speaker 1: crystal cool waters. After some time you wade back to
- 28:18Speaker 1: the water's edge and as you come back to shore
- 28:25Speaker 1: your body is tingling all over and you feel alive
- 28:30Speaker 1: with positivity and happiness as it marks a new phase
- 28:35Speaker 1: for you. and after all this lovely exercise it's time
- 28:46Speaker 1: to take a rest you walk back to your soft
- 28:51Speaker 1: towel and lie down in the sunshine close your eyes
- 29:00Speaker 1: and feel the warmth radiating over your body warming you
- 29:10Speaker 1: gently and as you close your eyes you find that
- 29:18Speaker 1: you can direct the light of the sun over your body,
- 29:25Speaker 1: beginning at your face, all the facial muscles relaxing now,
- 29:34Speaker 1: even your eyebrows are relaxing, as that warm sunlight passes
- 29:43Speaker 1: down into your jaw area your jaw releases and relaxes
- 29:54Speaker 1: the top and sides of your head now bathe in
- 29:59Speaker 1: the gentle warming sunlight, as it flows down into your
- 30:05Speaker 1: neck area, and all the tendons of the neck, release
- 30:13Speaker 1: and relax, and down into the shoulders, shoulders sink down,
- 30:22Speaker 1: feeling the warm sand underneath your towel, as the sunlight
- 30:30Speaker 1: moves into your chest area. chest lets go. the more
- 30:43Speaker 1: you let go the better you feel. it's that soothing
- 30:49Speaker 1: healing balm as the sunlight moves into your tummy and
- 30:56Speaker 1: the organs. tummy become calm and quiet energy moves into
- 31:09Speaker 1: your right arm now flowing smoothly down your shoulders.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Into your elbow forearm.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Your right hand now feels warm heavy, lying on the
- 31:34Speaker 1: soft sand, down into your left arm now, down through
- 31:43Speaker 1: the shoulders, warmth radiates to your left.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Elbow, down into your forearm, on your left hand, feels heavy, Warm.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Loose. Relax. You're really enjoying being in your body right now.
- 32:17Speaker 1: It feels really good to be alive. To be enjoying
- 32:23Speaker 1: this beautiful beachside experience. There's the warmth from the sun.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Travels into your pelvic area now. Then down into the
- 32:36Speaker 1: right thigh. Smoothly, smoothly down into the knees. The knees
- 32:45Speaker 1: are a place we can hold tension and tiredness. But
- 32:50Speaker 1: you just let that go now. As that healing, soothing
- 32:56Speaker 1: energy flows into your right calf. down into the ankle
- 33:02Speaker 1: the right foot toes and then the left thigh now

- 33:29Speaker 1: knee the whole of your body is perfectly peaceful and
- 33:46Speaker 1: at ease lying on your beach in the sunshine perfectly calm,
- 33:57Speaker 1: happy and peaceful And as you continue to listen to
- 34:09Speaker 1: my words, you'll take these affirmations deep into yourself as
- 34:20Speaker 1: you drift into a beautiful night's sleep.
- 34:26Speaker 2: This is my place.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I am learning to release judgements towards my body. My
- 34:56Speaker 1: body is uniquely mine and I feel a deep sense
- 35:02Speaker 1: of gratitude for all that I have. I am moving
- 35:18Speaker 1: away from narrow conceptions of beauty that are often portrayed
