- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 3: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:09Speaker 3: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go to uh eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 4: It was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Wow that Prime Time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 3: Betty Rubbell.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I honestly, until after the segment ended and we went
- 0:22Speaker 2: to a commercial break, had no idea that Jonathan Coachman
- 0:25Speaker 2: was black.
- 0:25Speaker 3: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 3: the game. You're listening to Stu Gottson Company.
- 0:32Speaker 2: It is Stegotson Company, presented by FanDuel and the FanDuel Sportsbook.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Mike Golocks Senior is with us. Taylor is in the
- 0:39Speaker 2: VIP room. Mikeya on Zoom. Hello, Mike Golics Senior. It
- 0:43Speaker 2: is March Madness. Happy March to you, my friend.
- 0:46Speaker 5: Oh listen, I and by the way, congrats Taylor in
- 0:49Speaker 5: the VIP studio.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Wow, that's pretty impressive.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I don't know what kind of perks you get from
- 0:54Speaker 5: being in that studio, but I hope they are. They
- 0:56Speaker 5: are multiple and many.
- 0:59Speaker 3: He gets no perks. I just wanted them out of
- 1:01Speaker 3: the studio. That's how.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't play that.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Hey, listen, I love March Madness. I loved it since
- 1:06Speaker 5: the Mic and Mike days at ESPN. I've already have
- 1:10Speaker 5: ten brackets basically filled out. I go on about six
- 1:15Speaker 5: or seven different contests because and I'm not one of
- 1:19Speaker 5: those guys that if I win, say, oh I knew
- 1:24Speaker 5: I was smarter than everybody else. I'm just throwing everything
- 1:27Speaker 5: up against the wall. I'm just trying to win the cage.
- 1:30Speaker 5: As I used to say, I want to win the
- 1:32Speaker 5: pool and win the cage.
- 1:34Speaker 4: That's what it's all about.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Of the ten brackets, though that you filled out, you're
- 1:38Speaker 2: not alone. I filled out ten, maybe twelve. But of
- 1:42Speaker 2: the ten you filled out, do you have like a
- 1:44Speaker 2: first bracket? Do you do you have a bracket that
- 1:46Speaker 2: you hold all the others?
- 1:48Speaker 5: Yeah, and that one has Arizona winning it. I think
- 1:51Speaker 5: Arizona's in a good region to move through. I think
- 1:55Speaker 5: they have, you know, three good guys that play down low.
- 1:58Speaker 5: They've out rebounted everybody but teams this year, and by
- 2:01Speaker 5: the way they won those two, They're not really reliant
- 2:04Speaker 5: on the three a lot. But I just I just
- 2:08Speaker 5: think they're in a good position to win it. So
- 2:09Speaker 5: I have Arizona winning it my main sheet.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I mean, mikey A, does this guy know march or
- 2:15Speaker 3: what I mean?
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's a Hall of Famer, Mike, we should How far
- 2:21Speaker 1: do you have Nebraska going in your best bracket? Because
- 2:25Speaker 1: Stu seems to be all in on Nebraska, Uh, not
- 2:29Speaker 1: only going to the final four, but I think winning
- 2:31Speaker 1: it all.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm entrenched. I have Nebraska out of the South
- 2:34Speaker 2: going to the final four. I love the mayor, I
- 2:36Speaker 2: love Fred Hoiberg.
- 2:38Speaker 4: You know, I'll tell you what.
- 2:41Speaker 5: Nebraska is looking good, but I'll be honest, I don't
- 2:44Speaker 5: know if they get past Vanderbilt.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I mean I I don't know.
- 2:49Speaker 5: If they do, they're gonna they'll give Florida all they
- 2:51Speaker 5: can handle. But that's a that's a that's a that's
- 2:54Speaker 5: a ballsy call. But you know that's kind of what
- 2:57Speaker 5: you have to do on some of your sheets. But again,
- 3:00Speaker 5: you gotta have that main one and if you if
- 3:03Speaker 5: you screw up early in that, it definitely costs you
- 3:05Speaker 5: some points.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Let me tell you my strategy here. I took the
- 3:09Speaker 2: brask I have every team. Okay, it just depends on
- 3:11Speaker 2: the media relations guy I'm talking to and case trying
- 3:15Speaker 2: to get Fred Hoiberg on and he thinks the rest
- 3:17Speaker 2: might big.
- 3:20Speaker 4: That's a good way to do it. That's a stut
- 3:22Speaker 4: Goatsian way to go about your business. I do like that.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Well, it got me Speedy Claxton. I had hobstro going
- 3:27Speaker 2: to the to the final four as well. About that's
- 3:30Speaker 2: the thirteen Oh my god.
- 3:32Speaker 4: That's uh.
- 3:33Speaker 5: And you know everybody sees through your your attempts, right,
- 3:37Speaker 5: I mean you understand that at this point you have
- 3:39Speaker 5: a reputation.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yes, and you understand I don't care, right, Oh, I know, yes,
- 3:44Speaker 2: I do know that ski right through me all you want.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Yeah, you are transparent and that's fine.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Yes, Stu.
- 3:52Speaker 6: I don't even think Speedy Claxon has hopshore in the
- 3:54Speaker 6: final four.
- 3:55Speaker 4: In his.
- 3:59Speaker 3: It didn't seem to rely confident. I have to be
- 4:01Speaker 3: honest with you.
- 4:02Speaker 4: No, no realization sets in. Yes.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Oh god, it is so great, Mike. I wanted to
- 4:09Speaker 2: We'll get to some NFL stuff here. Yeah, in just
- 4:12Speaker 2: a second. But I'm wondering, uh, because well, let me
- 4:15Speaker 2: ask Taylor first. Taylor, who was into the World Baseball
- 4:19Speaker 2: Classic it ended last night. Congratulations to Venezuela for winning
- 4:22Speaker 2: the entire thing. Uh, they rob Bryce Harper the all
- 4:26Speaker 2: time great moments in sports history. But I'm wondering Taylor
- 4:31Speaker 2: because as a Yankee fan, you have said many times
- 4:33Speaker 2: you cannot root for Roman Anthony. So down three to two,
- 4:36Speaker 2: Roman Anthony is the last battery. I want to hear
- 4:39Speaker 2: Goally thoughts on this as a Yankee fan, were you
- 4:43Speaker 2: rooting for Roman Anthony in that spot because he's a
- 4:45Speaker 2: red sock.
- 4:46Speaker 6: So one of the things the Hispanic crowds do when
- 4:49Speaker 6: there's two strikes is they do this chant where they're
- 4:51Speaker 6: like paunche paunche and it means just punch out in Spanish.
- 4:56Speaker 6: When Roman Anthony got up there with two strikes, Dow
- 4:58Speaker 6: I was in my couch going unt.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Terrible.
- 5:03Speaker 4: I mean, he's a terrible American.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Put that aside.
- 5:08Speaker 2: To put that aside, he can't the tea and Taylor
- 5:11Speaker 2: stands for Trader.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I mean that's ah.
- 5:15Speaker 5: Well, listen, I mean, listen, this came out. What Bryce
- 5:20Speaker 5: Harper went two for four, the rest of the team
- 5:22Speaker 5: won one for twenty six. I mean the bats didn't
- 5:26Speaker 5: show up. Harper gave him a chance ty going into
- 5:29Speaker 5: the top of the ninth, where was Mason Miller right.
- 5:33Speaker 5: I mean that was the talk before the closer, and
- 5:37Speaker 5: and Deroso was asked about it after and he said
- 5:39Speaker 5: he basically deferred to the Padres. He said, if we
- 5:42Speaker 5: were winning, I would have put him in basically to
- 5:45Speaker 5: save it. But it was a tie game, so I
- 5:47Speaker 5: wouldn't put him in. I'm like this, this is why
- 5:52Speaker 5: it meant more to Venezuela than it meant more to
- 5:54Speaker 5: the US, right. And you could tell that by the
- 5:57Speaker 5: celebration that it meant boy.
- 5:59Speaker 4: And I'm not saying that in.
- 6:00Speaker 5: A bad way at all, but it's before the season starts.
- 6:04Speaker 4: The teams.
- 6:05Speaker 5: Quite honestly, management and coaching staffs of the teams are
- 6:09Speaker 5: more concerned with their individual teams than the USA in
- 6:13Speaker 5: the WBC if it comes down to their guy. And
- 6:16Speaker 5: that's what it came down to with Mason Miller. Now, again,
- 6:20Speaker 5: we didn't hit the ball, but Venezuela they had no
- 6:23Speaker 5: problem throwing their closer out two nights in a row.
- 6:26Speaker 3: You know.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Again, it's just I think it just meant more to them.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Interesting that they would defer to the Padres, their dads,
- 6:35Speaker 2: Venezuelan dads. Yes, yeah, Taylor put my head set but
- 6:40Speaker 2: it was a good joke jokes in there, and I've
- 6:43Speaker 2: God and I'm upset with myself.
- 6:46Speaker 3: But Taylor, that was a good joke. Go ahead, Mike, yet.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Good old hippollick Arnold, Mike. Do you think they need
- 6:56Speaker 1: to move when this is played so that major league
- 7:00Speaker 1: teams might not have such a say in what happens?
- 7:03Speaker 5: I saw a buster only have a schedule on it
- 7:07Speaker 5: for like All Star week, right, have the Home Run Derby,
- 7:12Speaker 5: had the semis the same day, have the All Star Game,
- 7:15Speaker 5: and then have the WBC Finals.
- 7:17Speaker 3: I love that.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Yes, you know, so.
- 7:21Speaker 5: I get it because then it's a week of just
- 7:24Speaker 5: absolutely star studded baseball. But now here's also the thing.
- 7:28Speaker 5: Remember you're coming out of that baseball weekend, You're you're,
- 7:33Speaker 5: you know, through part of the season. At this point,
- 7:36Speaker 5: it's not the beginning of the season. You got players
- 7:39Speaker 5: who are playing. Would you have players playing on the
- 7:43Speaker 5: WBCUSA team also in the All Star Game, also in
- 7:47Speaker 5: the Home Run Derby? I mean, how much would they
- 7:50Speaker 5: be asked to do? Because you love the stars in
- 7:53Speaker 5: the in the Home Run Derby? What if some of
- 7:56Speaker 5: those guys were playing in the WBC and like, well,
- 7:58Speaker 5: I'm not going to go on the home run Derby.
- 8:00Speaker 5: If I'm playing in the WBC, And if I'm playing
- 8:03Speaker 5: in the WBC, am I also playing in the All
- 8:06Speaker 5: Star Game? And if I'm playing in the All Star Game,
- 8:08Speaker 5: am I playing and or pitching the next day in
- 8:11Speaker 5: the WBC Final. It's a lot of baseball, and already
- 8:15Speaker 5: we saw how players were sometimes used, sometimes not used.
- 8:20Speaker 5: T scooball only one start, and this is going into
- 8:23Speaker 5: a season. How about you try and use these guys
- 8:26Speaker 5: during that week of all these different events and then
- 8:30Speaker 5: you're going into the continuation of a season. I know
- 8:34Speaker 5: it sounds good, but I think there'd be some unintended
- 8:37Speaker 5: consequences of it.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and one of those unintended consequences under the radar,
- 8:42Speaker 1: think of how Spicy would make the trade deadline. You
- 8:44Speaker 1: put a bunch of those guys on different teams together,
- 8:47Speaker 1: have them competing with each other. Then all of a sudden,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know what, I kind of want to go play
- 8:51Speaker 1: with that guy.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Yeah, we talk it.
- 8:53Speaker 4: There you go. That's a way to throw a wrench
- 8:55Speaker 4: into it all.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Hey, Mike, I don't mind the club putting strictions on
- 9:00Speaker 2: certain players.
- 9:01Speaker 4: He said.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Miller would have came into the game if they had
- 9:03Speaker 2: a lead, right, they were down a run going into
- 9:06Speaker 2: the going into the ninth.
- 9:08Speaker 3: So I don't mind that.
- 9:09Speaker 2: It's like Mark Cuban saying he doesn't want his players
- 9:11Speaker 2: playing in the Olympics.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I'm paying them their salaries. I want them healthy and
- 9:15Speaker 3: playing for me.
- 9:17Speaker 4: You know, yeah, I love the Olympics.
- 9:21Speaker 5: I think every you know, the league should let to
- 9:25Speaker 5: teams play in the Olympics. Hell, the NFL is talking
- 9:27Speaker 5: about letting at least one player per team play on
- 9:30Speaker 5: the flag football in the Olympics. So but I get
- 9:34Speaker 5: it from the owner side. Listen, they're paying out millions
- 9:37Speaker 5: and millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in salaries.
- 9:41Speaker 5: So I mean, there's part of me that understands it.
- 9:45Speaker 5: And real quick back on Mason Miller. If they were winning,
- 9:49Speaker 5: he were to put Mason Miller in to close the
- 9:51Speaker 5: game out. What if they were tied and he put
- 9:54Speaker 5: Mason Miller in just to throw one inning, He'd have
- 9:56Speaker 5: thrown the same one inning. If you're just going to
- 9:59Speaker 5: pitch him one inning, he'd have thrown the same one inning. Now,
- 10:02Speaker 5: if it went to extras, you pull them out and
- 10:04Speaker 5: you say, okay, we took our chance with them.
- 10:07Speaker 4: But one inning is one inning if you were gonna.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Use them if you were winning, I don't understand why
- 10:11Speaker 5: you didn't use them for one inning when it's tied, right.
- 10:14Speaker 2: If that's the restriction of one inning, just pitch them
- 10:16Speaker 2: one inning. It doesn't inting you pitch them. What the
- 10:19Speaker 2: scenario is, what situation we're in. Yes, I understand what
- 10:22Speaker 2: you're saying, but I also do understand. Like you think
- 10:25Speaker 2: Andy Reid really wants Patrick Mahomes competing in the Olympics
- 10:28Speaker 2: as a flag football quarterback.
- 10:30Speaker 3: He does not.
- 10:31Speaker 5: No, I'm sure coaches and management and ownership don't. But
- 10:36Speaker 5: I think they understand. They take a hard gulp and
- 10:39Speaker 5: they understand the magnitude of the moment that this is
- 10:44Speaker 5: the freaking Olympics, this is worldwide, and they just, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 5: cross their fingers and hold their breath.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Quite honestly, stuck out to her.
- 10:52Speaker 2: College basketball is NonStop, big games, tight spreads, momentum swings
- 10:56Speaker 2: every single night, and now FanDuel is giving you way
- 11:00Speaker 2: to turn that energy into even bigger wins with a
- 11:03Speaker 2: college basketball parlay profit boost.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Here's how it works.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Build any college hoops parlay you like the early tip,
- 11:10Speaker 2: the rivalry game, the rank matchup, the late night West
- 11:13Speaker 2: Coast shootout, mixed.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Spreads, totals, props, whatever fits your red of the slate.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Then just apply your profit boost and instantly bump up
- 11:21Speaker 2: that potential payout. Go safe, Go spicy, Go with the

- 11:29Speaker 2: style now with more upside behind it. I'm looking for

- 12:56Speaker 2: Mike, We'll get to some Max brosbiesund here in just
- 12:58Speaker 2: a second. I just find it interesting that Mel's latest
- 13:01Speaker 2: mock draft came out and he has your boy, Jeremiah
- 13:04Speaker 2: Love going.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Fourth to the Titans. I mean, insane, I'm running.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Back going for Mike Well. I mean I had either
- 13:11Speaker 4: thought it was it's good. It's got to be that
- 13:13Speaker 4: they picked up a lot.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Of defensive players in free agency, so they need to
- 13:17Speaker 5: help cam Ward.
- 13:19Speaker 4: So I had thought.
- 13:20Speaker 5: I had originally mocked Jeremiah Love to like New Orleans
- 13:25Speaker 5: at eight or Kansas City at nine, but they both
- 13:27Speaker 5: picked up running backs. Washington picked up a running back
- 13:30Speaker 5: at seven, so you're starting to run out of spots.
- 13:34Speaker 5: But then you see Tennessee at four. I think it
- 13:36Speaker 5: was either Jeremiah Love or Carnel Tate, the wide receiver
- 13:40Speaker 5: from Ohio State. A guy who's a three level receiver
- 13:43Speaker 5: can take the short route and go the distance, middle routes,
- 13:46Speaker 5: and deep rout So he's not a blazing speed guy.
- 13:48Speaker 5: He's got hype though for a fifty to fifty ball.
- 13:52Speaker 5: But Jeremiah Love, I mean, listen, he's cut out of
- 13:55Speaker 5: the mold of John Robinson and and how he plays
- 13:59Speaker 5: with carrying the ball uh and and also catching the.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Ball out of the backfield.
- 14:05Speaker 5: That that that's obviously why these guys are why a
- 14:08Speaker 5: guy like Jean Robinson UH has has gone in the
- 14:12Speaker 5: first round and he's going to be the highest paid
- 14:14Speaker 5: wide receiver time kind of out.
- 14:17Speaker 4: Of the Christian McCaffrey foll.
- 14:18Speaker 5: But these guys are bigger, uh than than McCaffrey uh
- 14:22Speaker 5: and how big he is. But but out of that
- 14:24Speaker 5: mold of being the dual threat running back that these
- 14:28Speaker 5: are you have to be. You can't just be a
- 14:30Speaker 5: runner anymore, Jeremiah Love. You can split out in a slot,
- 14:33Speaker 5: you can split out a wide receiver.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Uh.
- 14:36Speaker 5: He can be a mismatch for you in the receiving game.
- 14:38Speaker 5: And he's a great running back, so I could definitely
- 14:41Speaker 5: see him going forward to Tennessee.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Did you guys, Mikey, did you hear that correctly?
- 14:45Speaker 4: Mike?
- 14:45Speaker 3: Did you did? Did you do a mock well.
- 14:50Speaker 5: Mike, Mike and I, my son and I did a
- 14:52Speaker 5: mock top ten where we traded off picks.
- 14:55Speaker 4: I had one, he had two. I had three.
- 14:57Speaker 5: So basically I did five picks in the first ten picks.
- 15:01Speaker 5: So that was maybe a little overstatement by my part
- 15:05Speaker 5: saying I did a mock draft.
- 15:07Speaker 2: As a player and as a person, Jeremiah Love he
- 15:11Speaker 2: seems too good to be true, but you have you
- 15:14Speaker 2: have an intimate knowledge and relationship of the person and
- 15:17Speaker 2: the player.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Is he that good of a player and is he
- 15:20Speaker 3: that good of a person?
- 15:22Speaker 4: He is both. I mean his parents are great, the
- 15:25Speaker 4: kid is great.
- 15:26Speaker 5: He's a great not only a great player, but a
- 15:28Speaker 5: great teammate as well. I mean split in time with
- 15:32Speaker 5: Jadari and Price, who may go in the first round
- 15:35Speaker 5: as well, the backup and I do that with quote fingers,
- 15:39Speaker 5: this guy is going to be a starter in the NFL.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Price a great kick returner as well.
- 15:45Speaker 5: Yeah, he is everything that you read about him as
- 15:49Speaker 5: far as on the field. I mean, the dude can
- 15:51Speaker 5: jump over you, he can stutter step you, he can
- 15:55Speaker 5: spin on you, he can catch the ball out of
- 15:57Speaker 5: the backfield. He can do everything. He is going to
- 16:00Speaker 5: be a star. I mean that's why. Yeah, And where
- 16:03Speaker 5: you go in the draft and where you rated in
- 16:05Speaker 5: the draft class, there two different things. And he's basically
- 16:08Speaker 5: the top prospect in this draft.
- 16:10Speaker 4: Mike.
- 16:11Speaker 6: I saw a stat from Sharp Football Analysis, Jeremiah Love
- 16:15Speaker 6: faced the lowest rate of light boxes in this draft class.
- 16:18Speaker 6: Last season. When he did face a box with six
- 16:21Speaker 6: or fewer defenders, he averaged nine point one yards per carry.
- 16:26Speaker 6: She's the most in the country.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Well, I mean yeah.
- 16:29Speaker 5: I mean when you're playing Notre Dame and they have
- 16:31Speaker 5: the top two, they have the best running back tandem
- 16:33Speaker 5: in the country and the two best draft prospects.
- 16:36Speaker 4: If you don't play with a more a loaded box,
- 16:38Speaker 4: you're you're foolish.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Uh So, then when you are in a light box,
- 16:42Speaker 5: you know he's going to destroy you. And even in
- 16:45Speaker 5: a in a loaded block box he does well. And
- 16:48Speaker 5: you have to give credit to the old line as well,
- 16:50Speaker 5: but he is he is fantastic at making you miss
- 16:53Speaker 5: a tackle.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Mike I love the trade yesterday between the Dolphins of
- 16:57Speaker 2: the Broncos. The Broncos inside a Super Bowl window. They
- 17:00Speaker 2: have the rookie, they have the quarterback on a rookie contract.
- 17:03Speaker 2: They needed a wide receiver. They get Jaylen Waddell the
- 17:05Speaker 2: Dolphins in exchange, who we are completely rebuilding in poor Malieue Willis.
- 17:09Speaker 2: He has no wide receivers to throw the football to.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Perhaps they'll change that moving forward here. But for the
- 17:15Speaker 2: Dolphins to get a first round pick and a third
- 17:17Speaker 2: round pick, that's a good trade both sides, I thought, Mike.
- 17:20Speaker 5: Well, I mean that that's what the achieved. You try
- 17:22Speaker 5: to achieve, right, both sides winning. And now Denver adds
- 17:26Speaker 5: another you know, prize possession to the to the wide
- 17:29Speaker 5: receiver corps. They're deep at wide receiver, kind of like
- 17:32Speaker 5: the Packers have been, though the Packers have dealt with injuries,
- 17:36Speaker 5: but they are deep at that position.
- 17:38Speaker 4: And for the.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Dolphins, I mean they're basically saying, listen, we're in we're
- 17:41Speaker 5: in rebuild mode. They have seven picks in the first
- 17:44Speaker 5: three rounds. That's tied for the most ever since the
- 17:48Speaker 5: draft I think started in sixty seven. So I mean
- 17:51Speaker 5: they're understand, we're going to build assets to either make
- 17:55Speaker 5: the picks or use them as trades to get established players.
- 17:59Speaker 5: But they're basically getting rid of all their established players.
- 18:02Speaker 5: You know, Jalen Phillips has gone, too, is gone, Mega
- 18:05Speaker 5: Fitzpatrick is gone. They said a chan they're going to
- 18:08Speaker 5: keep though, they said he's not going to be traded.
- 18:10Speaker 5: He's got to be like going, why the hell you
- 18:12Speaker 5: keeping me here? You know, why can't I go somewhere else?
- 18:15Speaker 5: And then and then it seemed kind of odd you
- 18:17Speaker 5: sign Malik Willis and basically give him no team around him.
- 18:22Speaker 5: The only thing I can think is you can decide if.
- 18:25Speaker 4: He's your quarterback of the future.
- 18:27Speaker 5: It's not a monster, big starting quarterback salary that you
- 18:31Speaker 5: have to pay. So if you don't think he's the answer,
- 18:35Speaker 5: and you have a high pick next year, you can
- 18:37Speaker 5: draft a potentially your future quarterback next year.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Max Crosby picked a good time to start a new podcast. Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I love that athletes can do this. Something good or
- 18:49Speaker 2: bad happens to him. Hey, I'm going to start a podcast. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 2: it's called The Rush. So interesting sound. Max takes you
- 18:56Speaker 2: inside what was happening that day at least through his prism. Mike,
- 19:00Speaker 2: and I want to play this down for you and
- 19:02Speaker 2: get your reaction, because all of it just feels terrible.
- 19:05Speaker 9: Like before I left, I wanted to see the head coach,
- 19:08Speaker 9: just chop it up, talk football, talk ball, like he's
- 19:10Speaker 9: the defensive guy. Never met him before like that, so
- 19:13Speaker 9: I wanted to chop it up. So I didn't get
- 19:14Speaker 9: to meet with him. To the end of the day,
- 19:16Speaker 9: I didn't get to see the GM at all. I
- 19:18Speaker 9: thought I was going to see him when I first
- 19:19Speaker 9: got there. I didn't see him for five hours. And
- 19:22Speaker 9: I don't know why. I'm not going to speculate. At
- 19:24Speaker 9: the end, they're like, yeah, i'll take you up. Joe's like,
- 19:26Speaker 9: I'll take you up and you go see the head
- 19:27Speaker 9: coach whatever just before you leave. I went back up.
- 19:30Speaker 9: I dap him up, and they can just tell, like
- 19:32Speaker 9: the energy was a little bit off, and the GM
- 19:34Speaker 9: was standing in like the hall, like in the room
- 19:36Speaker 9: next to me to the right, And that was the
- 19:37Speaker 9: first time I seen him. And you know, I'm just
- 19:39Speaker 9: in my head like I'm just this a whirlwind, Like
- 19:41Speaker 9: I'm so excited, like fired up, you know what I mean,
- 19:43Speaker 9: Like this is new opportunity whatever, and you could just
- 19:45Speaker 9: tell the energy was off. Like I dapped him up.
- 19:47Speaker 9: He had like a blank face, and I'm like, okay,
- 19:51Speaker 9: I'm not thinking anything of it. Maybe it's just different.
- 19:53Speaker 9: I don't know, I don't know him whatever. I go
- 19:55Speaker 9: into the room, they sit me down on the couch
- 19:58Speaker 9: and he's like, man, I don't know how to say this,
- 19:59Speaker 9: but you know, one of our doctors has concerns with
- 20:02Speaker 9: the results and whatever, like with your knee, like some
- 20:05Speaker 9: of them have, you know, are concerned about the future
- 20:08Speaker 9: and da da da da da, and you know we
- 20:10Speaker 9: really want you and this is what it is. But
- 20:12Speaker 9: you know we're just gonna have to get more and
- 20:14Speaker 9: more opinions.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Wow, I know, business grows. Sometimes that just feels wrong.
- 20:19Speaker 2: All of it just feels wrong.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Poor Max Crosby, well, I mean, I mean, well, I'm
- 20:23Speaker 5: not going to say poor Max Crosby. He's still going
- 20:25Speaker 5: to break out just fine. But it does seem odd
- 20:28Speaker 5: in this day and age that you're not met by
- 20:31Speaker 5: the head coach or the GM and the and the
- 20:34Speaker 5: meeting even before the physical starts off a little more
- 20:37Speaker 5: positive and up beating that if you get like Baltimore
- 20:40Speaker 5: says they got bad news from the physical and then obviously,
- 20:44Speaker 5: as Max said, it felt like the air was left
- 20:46Speaker 5: out of the room, which obviously it was.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Uh.
- 20:49Speaker 5: And again, will we ever believe what Baltimore said that
- 20:53Speaker 5: the DaCosta said we were I would. Nobody was more
- 20:55Speaker 5: crushed than me that it doesn't work out. I mean, yeah,
- 20:59Speaker 5: gut it. Obviously it was about the future, not about
- 21:03Speaker 5: this year, because they knew he was just coming off crutches.
- 21:05Speaker 5: They knew that he wasn't in a way to pass
- 21:08Speaker 5: a physical, just like Daniel Jones wasn't in any way
- 21:11Speaker 5: to pass a physical for the Colts, yet they re
- 21:13Speaker 5: signed him for forty four million year.
- 21:16Speaker 4: Right, you can.
- 21:16Speaker 5: You can pass or fail a player on a physical
- 21:19Speaker 5: however you want to. You you control that, and they
- 21:23Speaker 5: had concerns about his future, where I think most of
- 21:26Speaker 5: us believe they had concerns about the price tag. I
- 21:29Speaker 5: think that that eventually got to them and they got
- 21:33Speaker 5: cold feet.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Taylor put it on the poll.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Can you say poor Max Crosby when he's making thirty
- 21:38Speaker 2: five point five million dollars per season, I can't feel
- 21:43Speaker 2: badly for him.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Go ahead, Mikey, Mike if Trey Hendrickson signs with the
- 21:47Speaker 1: Colts for forty million dollars. Max Crosby passes that physical.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Right yes, oh yeah, okay, Now reason the reason he
- 21:58Speaker 2: couldn't see the GM and the head which is because
- 22:00Speaker 2: they were on the phone, which ray Hendrickson.
- 22:03Speaker 4: They were getting that deal done.
- 22:04Speaker 5: But I also felt that they felt two number ones
- 22:07Speaker 5: was too steep, and so even if they didn't get
- 22:10Speaker 5: Trey Hendrickson, it would have been interesting if they would
- 22:13Speaker 5: have carried that out and gave up the two number
- 22:16Speaker 5: one picks, even though their number one picks are.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Normally later in the draft because they're a.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Pretty good team. But that would have made it more
- 22:24Speaker 5: of an interesting situation. But yes, the proximity of how
- 22:27Speaker 5: quickly they signed Henderson was interesting.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I mean, and we all know, like when you're going
- 22:32Speaker 2: in for a DAP and you're expecting someone to be
- 22:34Speaker 2: excited and they're a little less exciting.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Yeah, you know something's up right away.
- 22:39Speaker 4: It's an oh moment. Yeah, definitely an oh moment.
- 22:42Speaker 3: I'm going back to Las Vegas. Very exciting.
- 22:45Speaker 2: We have more Mike Lee's here, which is a game
- 22:48Speaker 2: that we have played before with Mike olign God bless
- 22:51Speaker 2: football Mikey, are you ready here? A Golick has about
- 22:54Speaker 2: five minutes left with us, So let's get to some
- 22:57Speaker 2: more Mike Lees here, because I'm told this is a
- 22:59Speaker 2: good batch more Mike Ley's.
- 23:00Speaker 3: I just put unfair pressure. Go ahead.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I don't know who lied to you.
- 23:05Speaker 3: But okay, yeah, the voices of my all right, Well.
- 23:11Speaker 1: We'll start where we just were. More Mikely to regret,
- 23:14Speaker 1: regret the whole Ravens, Max Crosby saga the Raiders. The
- 23:19Speaker 1: Ravens or Max Crosby.
- 23:22Speaker 5: I think the Ravens because I mean, listen, their their
- 23:25Speaker 5: defense the last couple of years for at least parts
- 23:28Speaker 5: of the season, and had given up monster plays downfield,
- 23:32Speaker 5: and a lot of it was because you know, they
- 23:34Speaker 5: weren't getting enough of a pass rush and Max Crosby
- 23:37Speaker 5: could have solved that. Plus, by the way, Max Crosby
- 23:40Speaker 5: is great against the run as well, so you're probably
- 23:43Speaker 5: you're trying to put your team over the top. In
- 23:45Speaker 5: the a f C where it was a Battle of
- 23:47Speaker 5: Kansas City of Buffalo. Now Denver's entered the fray as well.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Other AFC teams are getting better. I think Baltimore will
- 23:55Speaker 5: regret this most.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I think Baltimore will regret it the most as well.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I have the Raiders in the playoffs because they got
- 24:03Speaker 2: Max Crosby back.
- 24:04Speaker 3: How about that.
- 24:04Speaker 4: Huh, that might.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Be a little bridge gone too far there with the
- 24:09Speaker 5: rookie quarterback.
- 24:10Speaker 3: I mean, come on, Mike, I mean rookie quarterbacks have
- 24:14Speaker 3: done it before.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it's but it's more the exception than the rule
- 24:18Speaker 5: for them doing it before, like a CJ.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Stroud or Jayden Daniels.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right, all right, go ahead, Mike.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I did not realize we were gonna have mister mock
- 24:27Speaker 1: draft on. So this is perfect more mikely to be
- 24:31Speaker 1: drafted in the first round. More guards or more quarterbacks?
- 24:37Speaker 4: Oh, more guards. I think you could get two to
- 24:41Speaker 4: three guards.
- 24:42Speaker 5: Where you're wondering if you'll get two quarterbacks.
- 24:46Speaker 4: Right in mel Kiper's latest draft, you.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Had Ty Simpson going sixteen to the Jets and Daniel Jeremiah.
- 24:54Speaker 5: The latest mock draft he doesn't have Ty Simpson going
- 24:58Speaker 5: in the first round at all, so you only have
- 25:01Speaker 5: a max of two with I think you have the
- 25:03Speaker 5: possibility of two to three guards going in this draft.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Yes, Todd, Mike Shay, how about that? I mean nothing
- 25:15Speaker 3: worked with Mel. Believe me, we work dropped at me
- 25:17Speaker 3: and Taylor.
- 25:17Speaker 4: The entire time.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I have your words you said.
- 25:21Speaker 3: I didn't hear your question. I have no idea what
- 25:23Speaker 3: the question was or his response.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Mel mcgoldick, all right, last one for me. How about
- 25:28Speaker 1: that more mike Le to miss the playoff next season?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Indiana or Miami?
- 25:37Speaker 3: Oh wow, wow, wow wow wow.
- 25:42Speaker 6: I thought you meant the Dolphins, right.
- 25:43Speaker 2: Are we talking Dolphins, Paul, No, no, we're talking Kanes.
- 25:47Speaker 4: We're talking Kanes.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Kanes.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Are Hoosiers more likely to miss? No no, no no no,
- 25:53Speaker 4: more Mikely to miss more.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Likely to miss?
- 25:58Speaker 4: Both are going to have new quarterback.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Obviously, I would say Miami is more Mi likely to miss,
- 26:04Speaker 5: even though they're in the easier conference. I think I
- 26:11Speaker 5: trust Kurt Signetti and the job he's done in the
- 26:14Speaker 5: last two years, and winning begets winning.
- 26:16Speaker 4: You're gonna get the players that you.
- 26:17Speaker 5: Want from the portal as well, so I'll say more
- 26:21Speaker 5: Mikely to miss will be the Canes.
- 26:24Speaker 2: All right, how's the next four days gonna look for
- 26:26Speaker 2: the for the Golic household? Are you gonna watch it
- 26:29Speaker 2: the way we watch it? Just you know, sheets all
- 26:31Speaker 2: over the place, brackets all over the place, food all
- 26:33Speaker 2: over the plays.
- 26:34Speaker 3: All over your face, and just watching college basketball for four.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Days without a doubt, because this is when you pick
- 26:39Speaker 5: your most of your first upsets.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Right.
- 26:42Speaker 5: It's the second weekend, you start to go a little
- 26:44Speaker 5: more chalk, but you try and grab those early points.
- 26:48Speaker 5: So yeah, it will be non stop a college basketball action.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Right, regardless of the outcome.
- 26:54Speaker 2: You will have that team in one of your twelve brackets, correct,
- 26:57Speaker 2: so you'll be there's no doubt.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Oh, I will have Final four participants all over the
- 27:03Speaker 5: place without question.
- 27:06Speaker 3: God bless March, Mike, God bless it.
