  People are born every day. To the parents, family, and friends of the newborn,
• 1:07
  it is a miraculous event.
• 1:09
  But outside of the miracle of birth, the newborn child has nothing extraordinary
• 1:13
  to offer and nothing new to give.
• 1:15
  But once there was a newborn whose birth would change the world.
• 1:20
  Join us in this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries as Kim reads the account

  of this wonderful and miraculous birth of the newborn king.

  His birth brought life to all who receive him.

  And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus
• 1:37
  that all the world should be taxed.

  And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.

  And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

  And joseph also went up from galilee out
• 1:50
  of the city of nazareth into judea unto the
• 1:53
  city of david which is called bethlehem because he
• 1:57
  was of the house and lineage of david to be
• 2:00
  taxed with mary his espoused wife being great with
• 2:03
  child and so it was that while they were
• 2:06
  there the days were accomplished that she should be delivered and
• 2:10
  she brought forth her firstborn son and wrapped
• 2:12
  him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a
• 2:15
  manger because there was no room for them in the
• 2:18
  end and there were in the same country
• 2:21
  shepherds abiding in the field keeping watch over their flock by night and lo
• 2:26
  the angel of the lord came upon them and the glory of the lord shone round about
• 2:30
  them and they were sore afraid and the angel said unto them fear not for behold
• 2:36
  i bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all people Thank you.
• 2:41
  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior,
• 2:45
  which is Christ the Lord.
• 2:47
  And this shall be a sign unto you. You shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling
• 2:51
  clothes, lying in a manger.
• 2:54
  And suddenly there were with the angel a multitude of heavenly hosts,
• 2:58
  praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.

  And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven,
• 3:08
  the shepherds said one to another let us now go
• 3:11
  even unto bethlehem and see this thing which
• 3:14
  has come to pass which the lord hath made known
• 3:17
  unto us and they came with haste
• 3:20
  and found mary and joseph and the babe lying in a manger when
• 3:24
  they had seen it they made known abroad the saying which was told them
• 3:27
  concerning this child and all they that
• 3:29
  heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds
• 3:33
  but mary kept all these things and
• 3:36
  pondered them in her heart and the shepherds returned
• 3:39
  glorifying and praising god for all the things they had
• 3:42
  heard and seen as it was told unto
• 3:46
  them that is luke's account
• 3:50
  of the birth of jesus christ in luke chapter 2 beginning in verse 1 and concluding
• 3:56
  in verse 20 i don't believe there is a greater story that tongue hath ever told
• 4:03
  i have ever read and pen hath ever Repent.
• 4:09
  For all the other stories in the world are stories.
• 4:14
  And they may make you feel good and they may inspire you and they may even motivate you.
• 4:20
  But this is an actual account of a real event.
• 4:25
  That when grasped upon the meaning of what this account tells us,
• 4:30
  it will inspire you and it will motivate you. It will encourage you.
• 4:36
  But oh, my friend, it will change you. because the Bible says that for unto
• 4:42
  you was born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
• 4:50
  There's something different about this baby.
• 4:55
  This baby is the Savior of the world.
• 4:59
  And like that account, where when Mary and Joseph came into Bethlehem,
• 5:07
  and mary was ready to give birth to
• 5:10
  the savior of the world there was no
• 5:13
  room in the end for mary there
• 5:17
  was no room in the end for joseph but
• 5:21
  my friends there was no room in the end for baby jesus to be born because baby
• 5:27
  jesus was born in a manger and the account says it's because there was no room
• 5:33
  in the end as we look at that particular piece of this scripture very closely,
• 5:40
  i want you to see that not much has changed some 2 000 years later there's still
• 5:48
  no room in many of your hearts for jesus to dwell you haven't made your heart.

  Prepared to receive the gift
• 6:01
  of the newborn king inhabiting your
• 6:04
  life you haven't prepared your
• 6:07
  heart to be a manger where the lord
• 6:10
  can lie and grow
• 6:13
  and dwell and abide
• 6:17
  many of you within the
• 6:20
  sound of my voice do not have a personal relationship with
• 6:23
  jesus christ and it's a choice that you have made and i
• 6:26
  want you to see the consequences of that choice and
• 6:30
  i want you to have to face the truth of who jesus is over the next few moments
• 6:36
  and i want you to see him as savior of the world and i want you to realize that
• 6:41
  he says in romans 10 13 that whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved.
• 6:47
  I want you to see that in that account that I read in your hearing,
• 6:51
  he says, for unto you is born this day a Savior, Jesus.
• 6:57
  There's just something about that name.
• 7:02
  The songwriter said kings and kingdoms shall all pass away.
• 7:07
  But there's just something about that name.
• 7:12
  My friends, you know what is powerful about that name?
• 7:17
  It's because that name depicts the Savior of the world.
• 7:23
  For the Bible says in John chapter 3 and verse 16, that for God so loved the
• 7:30
  world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever shall believe in him
• 7:34
  should not perish, but have everlasting life.
• 7:37
  The Bible tells us in no uncertain terms that Jesus is the Savior of the world.
• 7:44
  My friends, we need to pay attention. to who
• 7:48
  he is and we need to receive him
• 7:51
  as savior because jesus paid
• 7:55
  it all let's look at the account let's
• 7:59
  look at what the bible says in luke
• 8:03
  chapter 2 and the very beginning we
• 8:07
  see that mary and joseph are pretty
• 8:10
  special people they're special because
• 8:14
  jesus has been given to them to
• 8:17
  raise on this earth but they're
• 8:20
  ordinary and that they haven't done extraordinary things by
• 8:24
  man's standards they're a lot like me
• 8:27
  and you joseph was a carpenter he didn't have a kingdom he wasn't prominent
• 8:34
  among the world no jesus wasn't a son of god 100% man and 100% God he was deity incarnate.
• 8:46
  But when he was here, he dwelled among common folk.
• 8:51
  Yet he astounded the scholars in the temple when he was just a lad.
• 8:57
  He could turn water into wine and perform miracle after miracle and raise the
• 9:02
  dead and heal the sick and make the deaf to hear.
• 9:07
  But he didn't exclude himself from anyone.

  The rich the poor the
• 9:15
  educated the uneducated the working
• 9:18
  class the high social class the beautiful
• 9:22
  the ugly they were all precious in
• 9:25
  his sight and they were all given
• 9:28
  equal opportunity to meet the
• 9:31
  savior for in john chapter 3 nicodemus
• 9:35
  comes to jesus a high
• 9:39
  ruler in john chapter 4 jesus
• 9:43
  goes to the woman at the well a social
• 9:47
  outcast in john chapter 11 jesus
• 9:51
  raises lazarus from the dead after having several chapters before raised the
• 9:57
  sick to walk jesus didn't exclude anyone thus in romans chapter 10 and verse 13 we hear him say.

  Whosoever shall call upon the name of the lord shall be saved,
• 10:15
  jesus loves us all the same this is why he said for god so loved the world that
• 10:22
  he gave his only begotten son the opportunity to be saved is available to all
• 10:30
  who will receive this jesus,

  the account that i'm read in your hearing and
• 10:38
  that we're discussing speaks of
• 10:41
  jesus being a babe born in a manger but when he comes again he's going to come.

  As king of kings and lord of lords for you see that babe in that manger was
• 10:55
  god that babe in that manger was our salvation,
• 11:01
  and he left the splendor of
• 11:04
  heaven dwelt among us that
• 11:08
  we might know him that we
• 11:12
  might have confidence in him and that
• 11:14
  we might believe in him that he could save our souls the bible says in luke
• 11:20
  19 10 that the lord come to seek and to save those which were lost and in romans
• 11:25
  3 23 says that we have all sinned and come short of the glory of god by making your heart a manger,
• 11:33
  where christ can dwell your housing the redemption brought through jesus christ.
• 11:42
  Manifested in the Holy Spirit that comes to dwell in you when you believe in Jesus.

  That manger held more than just a babe.
• 11:52
  That manger held the answer to your every need.
• 11:58
  You see, a walking relationship with Jesus Christ does not guarantee that you'll
• 12:07
  have a life without trouble and struggles,
• 12:09
  that you won't have problems what it
• 12:12
  guarantees is that you'll have a home not made with hands eternal to
• 12:15
  the heavens in eternity what it
• 12:18
  means is that you'll never walk alone that he'll never
• 12:20
  leave you nor forsake you what it means is that
• 12:23
  you can call upon him and he will answer you and show you great and mighty things
• 12:27
  which you just don't know what it means is that you can tap into his resources
• 12:32
  and that he will supply all of your needs according to his riches and that you
• 12:36
  can do all things in his strength what it means is that you have the opportunity,
• 12:42
  to live in the center of his will and to
• 12:45
  have a walking talking living real relationship
• 12:50
  with the god of the universe as the
• 12:52
  holy spirit indwells inside of you and jesus christ sits at the right hand of
• 12:57
  the father ever living to make intercession for us and in john chapter 17 praying
• 13:02
  for you and praying for me if we are children of god that's what it means to
• 13:08
  make room in your heart for jesus christ.
• 13:12
  You see, the end couldn't stop him because he came with a purpose.
• 13:18
  You see, some of us, had we been given anything that was a little bit inconvenient,
• 13:23
  and even today when God asks us to do something that's just a tad inconvenient,
• 13:28
  we walk away from it and we leave it undone.
• 13:31
  But even as the steps became difficult going to the road of Calvary,
• 13:36
  as the cross became heavy to bear, he didn't throw it away. He didn't call 10,000 angels.
• 13:43
  He walked that road and they called on a man in the crowd who had the opportunity
• 13:48
  to help assist Jesus Christ in carrying the cross.
• 13:52
  But as he stood and hung, suspended between heaven and earth,
• 13:57
  there was no one who could assist him.
• 14:00
  God the Father had turned the entire universe black at noonday because he couldn't look upon sin.

  And Jesus Christ that once babe in a manger bore your sins and my sins that
• 14:13
  we might have life eternal if we but believe.
• 14:17
  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior.
• 14:21
  You can call him Jesus. That's his name. You can call him the Alpha and Omega.
• 14:29
  That's his name. You can call him Emmanuel. God with us. That's his name.

  Abraham called him the friend because God spoke of Abraham as the friend of God.

  Mary and Martha and Lazarus referred to Jesus as their friend,
• 14:50
  and they made room for him in their home.

  Book of revelations in the third chapter the bible says behold i stand at the door and knock,

  that's jesus christ you see
• 15:04
  some 2 000 years ago he came into this
• 15:07
  world as a babe in a manger and every
• 15:10
  since he went to the cross of calvary and shed
• 15:14
  his blood freely blood that
• 15:17
  was without sin and blood that was without blemish and
• 15:19
  blood that was without spot and blood that took
• 15:22
  away the multitude of sins so they'd be as scarlet there
• 15:25
  as white as snow blood that only jesus christ
• 15:28
  the lamb of god could shed for you and me that would pay the penalty for our
• 15:34
  sins that my friend was what jesus gave as he bled and died on the cross of calvary and every since,
• 15:46
  he went to the grave and three days passed and on that third and glorious morning
• 15:52
  he arose victorious over hell death and the grave he's been knocking on men
• 15:58
  and women and boy and girl's hearts.

  Asking them to let him in every
• 16:05
  sense you were formed in your
• 16:08
  mother's womb he knew you and jeremiah
• 16:11
  29 11 says that he has a plan for you you're
• 16:15
  no accident you're no mistake you're no
• 16:18
  icing on the cake you are a planned
• 16:21
  person that god has a planned purpose
• 16:25
  for that god wants to have a
• 16:28
  planned and a personal and a real and a deep rich relationship with oh jesus
• 16:37
  loves you he loved you enough to leave the splendor of heaven and become the savior of the world.

  That the inn was too crowded for jesus and the
• 16:52
  residents of the inn they no doubt missed the most
• 16:55
  miraculous thing ever but let's
• 16:58
  talk about just how miraculous it really was because in
• 17:02
  verse 7 of luke chapter 2 she brings forth her son in verse 11 of chapter 2
• 17:08
  he is called and it is revealed that he is the savior of the world in verse
• 17:15
  13 there's a multitude of angels.
• 17:19
  Praising god and saying glory
• 17:22
  to god in the highest and on earth peace goodwill toward men
• 17:25
  you see they recognized that he
• 17:28
  was the savior of the world and they praised and gave him glory but
• 17:31
  did you notice they said peace goodwill toward men
• 17:34
  they realized that in this manger laid
• 17:38
  the only solution to that
• 17:41
  war in our hearts and that war in our souls and that war of our sinful nature
• 17:46
  to be made right with God because it was only through and by the death and the
• 17:50
  resurrection of Jesus Christ that his sinless blood could buy our salvation
• 17:56
  and wipe away our sins and make us whole, every whit hole.

  And when they proclaimed that there was peace, they were proclaiming that that
• 18:06
  war of sin had just been won because there's victory in Jesus.
• 18:14
  But friends, some of you are like the innkeeper and you've pushed him aside
• 18:20
  and you've said he can be over here.
• 18:23
  And perhaps even on Sunday mornings and Sunday nights, maybe even if you're
• 18:27
  really good at it, on Wednesdays, you sort of pick him up, kind of let him get around you,
• 18:34
  and you try to make everybody else think that you know him and that you've made room for him.
• 18:38
  But when it comes down to it, you've missed it because you didn't make room in your heart.
• 18:45
  Didn't accept him and you didn't believe in him and unlike
• 18:48
  the angels who were singing of his glory and praising him
• 18:51
  and realizing the power of the savior and
• 18:55
  i want you to realize these were people who had not been redeemed because
• 18:59
  they didn't have a soul to be sinful it's a
• 19:03
  song the angels cannot sing and some
• 19:06
  of you who have received the gift of
• 19:09
  his salvation you're not praising him
• 19:12
  and you're not letting the world know in verse
• 19:16
  16 the shepherds came with haste they ran
• 19:19
  to baby jesus because the shepherds
• 19:23
  knew what the lord had told them and let me tell you something they
• 19:27
  told everybody about it friends this
• 19:31
  is a big deal jesus came as
• 19:34
  savior of the world and he's free to all and ephesians 2 8 9 says for by grace
• 19:40
  are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of god
• 19:44
  not of works lest any man should boast the bible says that whosoever name is
• 19:50
  not found written in the lamb's book of life shall be cast into hell fire,
• 19:54
  in john chapter 3 he says marvel not that i say unto thee you must be born again.

  He continues to say except the man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of god,

  in john chapter 14 and verse

  6 he says i am the way the truth and the life and no man cometh unto
• 20:09
  the father but by me he declared his
• 20:12
  deity the angels declared his
• 20:15
  deity he proved his abilities and
• 20:18
  his capabilities his supernatural strength
• 20:21
  and his love for you and me when he
• 20:24
  came I implore you to be as the shepherds and make haste I implore you to prepare
• 20:33
  your heart a manger to receive the soon coming king and the only savior of the world.
