- 0:00I'm shocked you don't get to the choppa Arnold Schwarzenegger,
- 0:03man. I just haven't seen it.
- 0:04I haven't seen it. Alright, let's get it.
- 0:07But at an outbound banger management fantasy hockey
- 0:10podcast, Woo woo, Josh says woo somewhere else.
- 0:17Not here I. Didn't harmonize like we did.
- 0:21No, no, none of that. But OK, Benvenuti Bangor
- 0:27management Ill Podcastle Fantasy Hockey Connie Padroni di Casa
- 0:32Jake, Josh, Kevin. Guess what language that was?
- 0:37Italian. Actually, yes.
- 0:41Yeah, yeah, it's on is just classic Italian.
- 0:43You know you gotta. You know it, you recognize it.
- 0:46Yeah, I think that every Italian word ends with a vowel.
- 0:50Maybe I'm wrong. If there's any Italian listeners
- 0:53please correct me if I am or let me.
- 0:56Know in the vowel. I think it's like a thing
- 0:59though. No, I think they all end in
- 1:01vowels. But, but we'll see.
- 1:02Please comment and let us know if I'm right or not.
- 1:05But yeah, as far as Bangor management goes, that is just so
- 1:10English that it can't be, it can't be italicized.
- 1:16But yeah, so welcoming everyone to our Week 17 Buy Low, Sell
- 1:20High Trade targets episode. As always, the link to all of
- 1:25our social media can be found in the link tree, which is in the
- 1:28podcast description. And also follow us on Spotify or
- 1:32Apple Podcasts if you like what you hear.
- 1:34Let's start with Joshua's Buy low.
- 1:37And he's not here. So Jake and I are going to be
- 1:40sharing Josh duties today, yes, but if you're upset with the
- 1:44pigs, take it up with him because it's not our fault.
- 1:47Yeah, yeah. And let's see his bylaws.
- 1:50Decent. She still has.
- 1:52Pretty good, yeah, he has a good pics he has a good.
- 1:53Picture he's got a good pics but if you do have a problem with
- 1:56it, it's not ours and if you don't like any of ours, it's
- 1:58also Josh's fault so. I agree.
- 2:01Cool. So yeah, Josh is Bilo.
- 2:03We've got Brayden Point. He has been very underwhelming
- 2:07the past month after being on fire to start the year.
- 2:10In the past month, he's only got .64 point per game, points per
- 2:14game, .21 power play, points per game.
- 2:17Meanwhile is Buddy Couch over there on Kevin's team is at 1.33
- 2:21power play, 1.33 points per. Game not power play points.
- 2:25Yeah, sorry that. .53 power play points I I sorry I thought it
- 2:29was power play goals. It was like well what could have
- 2:31been amazing point has been not great point was one of our cell
- 2:35highs two months ago, so it's not surprising to us that he
- 2:38slowed down. But this slowdown is way too big
- 2:41and he should definitely bounce back to being a point per game
- 2:45player soon, pun intended. This decrease in production
- 2:49could also be related to the Lightning shifting, um, their
- 2:53power play units around into A1A1B.
- 2:56But point is still playing on a unit with Kucherov and Gensel,
- 3:00and the Lightning are on the 4th best power play, the 4th best
- 3:04power play team in the league. So his power play points should
- 3:07go up a bit. I also wouldn't be surprised.
- 3:09OK, Josh, wouldn't be surprised to see them go back to their
- 3:13normal power play one unit in the next few weeks.
- 3:16So now could be a great time by low on the premise that point
- 3:21has been demoted to power play 2.
- 3:23It's air quotes for power play 2.
- 3:25You know it is one A1B, but it does look bad when you see it.
- 3:29And so some good one for one targets are Matt Duchene, Wyatt
- 3:32Johnson, Thomas Hurdle. Personally, I think point is way
- 3:36out of reach for all these guys. Hurdle and Johnston have been
- 3:40actually, you know what they've all been.
- 3:42Amazed some strong takes on this as well.
- 3:44Yeah, they've all been amazing, but I just think that point is
- 3:47significantly too good to be. You can't sell just them, but
- 3:52maybe them plus isn't a good idea.
- 3:54I mean, listen, I really agree with Josh's by low.
- 3:58I think Brayden Point is in a great place right now where he's
- 4:01attainable in a trade for a lot of players.
- 4:04The only thing is I kind of disagree with a little bit with
- 4:06Josh's targets, especially even for A1, For one targets, I
- 4:09think, I think these guys just don't have the name value and
- 4:12the pedigree that that Britain Point has.
- 4:14Like Britain Point is a top three fantasy centre for for
- 4:19fantasy lucky. I don't think Duchene Johnson or
- 4:21Hurdle gets it done. I think Johnson has a lot of
- 4:23pull because he's like a a great player and exciting to have on
- 4:26your fantasy team. And he's also just been insane.
- 4:28But I don't think Shannon Hurdle have like the the name value or
- 4:32the consistent production year after year to be able to get
- 4:34that done. So I don't think managers gonna
- 4:35be training brilliant point for one of these guys on really hot
- 4:39streak right now. But I'd give you a lot of other
- 4:41names that I'd trade for for Brayden Point, Like if you have,
- 4:44if you have Bull Horvat, I think right now who's really hot, I
- 4:46try to flip him for a Britain point.
- 4:49If you could get Dylan Larkin for written point.
- 4:52Yeah, these are these are names that you could probably do.
- 4:55I think Larkin Larkins like the perfect one.
- 4:58Horvat. I actually still don't think it
- 5:00gets done, but. He's also just been nuts and he
- 5:03has some name value as well. Obviously with the Islanders
- 5:05it's less so, but people know that he's been solid for years
- 5:09when he was on Vancouver as well.
- 5:10So I think the the name kind of definitely stronger than Duchane
- 5:14Johnson and Hurdle, I think, yeah.
- 5:16But I think Larkin is a great name to put that if you can flip
- 5:19for Britain point, which I think is very possible, I would look
- 5:23to to do that. Yeah, no point.
- 5:25Point is like an elite, elite talent and it just not been it
- 5:31for him as of late. But I mean look like if you can
- 5:35pull it off with. These, yeah, obviously we just
- 5:37want to give you some realistic targets as well.
- 5:39Yeah, same with Horvat. But I just think that at the end
- 5:43of the day, like it's just point is, yeah, he's.
- 5:47Either way, obviously trying to get the best deal as we can, we
- 5:49just want to give you some names that would be willing to give
- 5:51like the the highest, the best name possible that would be
- 5:52willing to give in a trade. I think Larkin is probably that
- 5:55guy. Yeah, I agree.
- 5:57And actually one other quick one on that.
- 6:00What about Jack Hughes, given the fact that the Ranger, sorry,
- 6:03the Devils playoff schedule isn't that good?
- 6:06Yeah, if you're looking to optimize your playoff schedule,
- 6:08I think Jack Hughes. I think Jack Hughes for for
- 6:11Britain point maybe. I feel like you're overpaying,
- 6:13like maybe you can get point. Plus, if the other person
- 6:16especially doesn't realize that the devil's play two games in
- 6:18Week 24. I think that'd be a great trade
- 6:21if you're a savvy manager. But even one for one, if it
- 6:24really comes down to it, I'd probably take Brayden Point rest
- 6:27of the season. Yeah, it feels like an overpay
- 6:30as you said, but it it could workout for you in the long run.
- 6:32Cool. So let's move on to your buy
- 6:34low, Kevin. Alright, my buy low is a guy
- 6:37that I think I'm clearly higher on than both of my Co hosts, but
- 6:41it is Mikhael Sergachev, former Montreal Canadian.
- 6:47I mean, listen, he's been hurt since January 16th.
- 6:50So it's one of those opportunities where he hasn't
- 6:52really been on the ice lately. And maybe the manager is
- 6:54frustrated because even before he got hurt he wasn't doing
- 6:58super hot. And we've seen as of late, the
- 7:01Utah have been nuts and their power play is honestly a really
- 7:04good power play. So the fact that he's been dated
- 7:07day for two weeks, I think increases the frustration in the
- 7:10managers gonna have because you're like, OK, he's not on my
- 7:13IR. And every night you kind of
- 7:14think he's gonna play and he's not playing.
- 7:16And it's just like, it's been 2 weeks of that, right?
- 7:18So the frustration is building up their manager's head where
- 7:21maybe just is undervaluing him right now given that he's been
- 7:25so frustrating. And rest of the season, I think
- 7:27Sergachev is a fringe top 10 fantasy defenseman.
- 7:30There's not many other defensemen that are going to
- 7:33contribute in shots and blocks and also be on a top, top power
- 7:37play in the league and that have no, no, you know, somebody
- 7:40behind them trying to fight for their spot as well.
- 7:43I think he's on a great power play.
- 7:45He's going to get you 2 blocks a game, two shots a game and then
- 7:48some exposure to some high flying assets.
- 7:50I think it's a great opportunity to buy a little before he comes
- 7:52back and gets up and running again.
- 7:54And I think you can probably get it for cheaper than expected.
- 7:56I'm giving you some names like Seth Jones, Dougie Hamilton,
- 8:00Jacob Chikurin, who I'd swap all one for one for Michael
- 8:03Sergachev, but you can maybe even get him for guys that are a
- 8:05little worse than that. And like we're seeing in the
- 8:08financial landscape right now, like guys like Haskin are
- 8:10getting hurt, guys like no adopts are getting hurt.
- 8:13So there's not really as many of these, you know, top one's on
- 8:18their team that are power play quarterbacks on a great power
- 8:21play anymore that are still healthy and attainable.
- 8:24Yeah, I agree. And one thing that you didn't
- 8:26mention is with Dylan Gunther coming back, that Utah power
- 8:30play is only going to get better.
- 8:31So hopefully that nicely coincides with the circuit she's
- 8:34returned as well. It's crazy to me because for
- 8:38some reason thinking that circuit has a top 10 fantasy
- 8:42defenseman rest of season does not compute in my head.
- 8:45Like I'm just like. There's so many names that you
- 8:47take ahead of. But if you look more into it,
- 8:49yeah, he really is there. Dougie Hamilton is the one I'm
- 8:54most scared of as far as the target goes.
- 8:57But I do think you. Think you'd be overpaying giving
- 9:01Dougie? I just think that like there is
- 9:03a chance that Dougie is better than Sergachev, but I'm not
- 9:06convinced by any means, whereas Jones I.
- 9:08Think that you will for sure get more points, not points are
- 9:11shots, but I think circuitry will get more points blocks and
- 9:15has a better playoff schedule. Whereas you know you don't
- 9:17really want to be training for Dougie and if you can flip them
- 9:19for somebody else too. Given that 22 game week that
- 9:22we've spoken about, I think it's something to consider.
- 9:25No, it's a fairpoint. Yeah, honestly, but especially
- 9:29Chicken and Jones. Honestly probably Doug with the
- 9:31playoff schedule you mentioned. Like I think that Sergachev is
- 9:34just he doesn't have the elite name value yet.
- 9:38Yeah, he doesn't, but he's performing at that level and I
- 9:40think the fact that he's hurt and guys don't associate, like
- 9:44you just said, the name value to him, he's really going under the
- 9:47radar. I think I'd trade Josh Morrissey
- 9:49for circuit shows. That's another name I put.
- 9:51Yeah, that feels to me also like that feels crazy, but you know
- 9:55what I mean? Numbers don't lie at the end of
- 9:57the day. Like you're getting an elite
- 9:58defenseman in Sergiev. It's just that he's not as
- 10:01appreciated as the other one. So I really like it and by low,
- 10:04I don't know if this will get it done, but if you can trade, Drew
- 10:07Dowdy just came back from injury this week, I think that that
- 10:11could be a nice option as well. Do you think that there is a
- 10:14shot that you can do that? Yeah, I think it's definitely
- 10:16possible Drew Brody has some weight to him and the fact that
- 10:20by the time you're listening to this that it will have played
- 10:22his first NHL game. So if he pops off, he may be
- 10:25able to do it. If he doesn't popped off yet,
- 10:27maybe you can still sell them on the name value.
- 10:29But yeah, I I like that a lot. I think Daddy is going to be
- 10:32obviously somebody that a lot of people are have been stashing
- 10:35for a while or who just picked up and are excited that they got
- 10:37him for free. But I would flip him for
- 10:38searches. You just called Drew Dowdy fat.
- 10:42Did I say that? He's got some weight to him.
- 10:44I said I say wait. I said wait like wait like name,
- 10:49value, weight. OK.
- 10:50Drew Daddy, you are a skinny legend.
- 10:53Just to clarify. OK no no shit, no fat shaming
- 10:57Mitchell players. We're all in way better shape
- 11:00than we are. Even Phil Kessel who is an
- 11:03absolute beast and both hot dog eating and playing hockey.
- 11:09Eating on that. So sure, you give him a run for
- 11:11his money. I I I think I would.
- 11:14Yeah, he probably would. I think he'd probably win.
- 11:17Yeah, I know, but cool. So let's move on to my buy low.
- 11:22For this week's Buy Low, I have Matchbox 20 lead singer Robert
- 11:26Thomas ha ha ha, smooth transition on my.
- 11:31Right. I, I, I think last time you made
- 11:33that joke, I didn't know who it was.
- 11:35So. OK, you need this.
- 11:37Time around I also still don't know who it is they are.
- 11:39Such a good band. Like they were super popular in
- 11:42the early 2000s. I'm gonna play a few songs for
- 11:44you after. Do they have more slaps than The
- 11:46Beatles? Kit now anyway.
- 11:50So you know. Ohk gosh.
- 11:53OK, Anyway, no, they're not The Beatles, but they're they're
- 11:56elite. Cool.
- 11:57So yeah, as far as Robert Thomas goes, the NHL hockey player, I
- 12:00think I'm probably the highest on him of all of us.
- 12:03And he has really slowed down from how good he was at the
- 12:07beginning of the year. But he has exceeded one point
- 12:10per game over two of the last three years, and I can easily
- 12:14see that happening again. Over the last month.
- 12:17Thomas's average .57 points per game, which makes him tied 6th
- 12:22on the Blues over that stretch. It strains to see the best
- 12:25player on a good team negatively regressed with the coaching
- 12:28change, especially because that coaching change bought so many
- 12:33of the blue scores success. But yeah, that seems to be the
- 12:37case that for some reason this coaching change is not helping
- 12:41Thomas out the Kevin move your mouse.
- 12:44Thank you. The demotion to power play too
- 12:47is clearly hurt his value. But nonetheless, he's still
- 12:50playing line 1 and short handed line one with big minutes.
- 12:55So I still think he's poised for some positive points regression
- 12:58and if he gets promoted to probably 1 again, I think that
- 13:01this is going to tremendously help his value.
- 13:04So some good one for one targets.
- 13:07If you have Gabe Vilardi, Nikolai Elers or cross position
- 13:11Shea Theodore, I think that you could definitely try to send
- 13:14those for Robert Thomas and you'll be really happy when it's
- 13:18at the end of the season. Yep.
- 13:20I mean, I agree with a lot of what you said.
- 13:22I think the fact that he's kind of underperforming right now
- 13:24compared to other Blues assets when he's technically supposed
- 13:27to be maybe the best Blues asset kind of shows you that there's a
- 13:30there's a window here to buy him.
- 13:32If you need a pure CI think he's a great option in terms of buy
- 13:35lows. He's not the guy that's gonna, I
- 13:37think when you you're not like beat the game breaker to win
- 13:40your fantasy league. But I think it's gonna be like a
- 13:43really big important roster contributor for your team,
- 13:46especially if you can give guys like Vilardi, Euler's or
- 13:49Theodore. I think would Theodore is
- 13:51probably close given the the cross position and and how
- 13:54valuable, you know, defensive points are.
- 13:56So that just depends on the makeup of your team.
- 13:58But I really like the cross position offer.
- 14:01Velardi I would trade for Robert Thomas and Ellers as well.
- 14:05I think. I think Thomas is just a really
- 14:07well-rounded fantasy asset. And right now you have the
- 14:10opportunity to buy a little. So Yep, degree.
- 14:13Yeah. Do you have like a name that
- 14:14comes to mind that kind of just like?
- 14:16It's Robert. Thomas, yeah, pushes the
- 14:19boundaries because to me, I was looking to this and I think
- 14:21these are three really great names.
- 14:23Yep. I don't know if you could offer
- 14:26any less. Like what about Bo Horvat, who
- 14:28as you mentioned has been super good?
- 14:30I think I'd rather have Boho Arvat.
- 14:35The knock on Thomas is that the power play is probably not going
- 14:38to be the best. So if you can give guys a have
- 14:41lesser power play production, I think that's something to take
- 14:45note of. But I would give if you can give
- 14:48like I think right now you might be even able to give like a
- 14:51maybe a Jonathan Drouin, like if you're a leader doesn't have
- 14:53face off wins. I think that can possibly get it
- 14:56done cause he hasn't really been super solid.
- 14:58Right? But would you do Josh Norris for
- 15:02Yeah, Thomas I? Don't know if that necessarily
- 15:05gets it. Done.
- 15:06You don't think Ryan O'Reilly who's actually available?
- 15:10That's a good option, yeah. Yeah, because.
- 15:12The manager did. Yeah.
- 15:15Also, I mean the manager has been up and down at the end of
- 15:17the day, like I really like Thomas for us to season.
- 15:21I would happily pay up for him. And I think he's just kind of
- 15:24like a step above most of these names that we mentioned.
- 15:27But even Horvat I would probably give Horvat for Thomas
- 15:30personally. I like Thomas a lot have and
- 15:34Brayden Schenn is now on that Power play 1, so that's kind of
- 15:38why things have. Yeah, they're kind of mixing and
- 15:40matching there, which has definitely hindered his value.
- 15:43Ultimately, if they end up consolidating and 11 serious
- 15:46power play unit, you'll see his value like really take a step
- 15:49up. But until then, the power
- 15:50production is just gonna be kind of scarce in the fact that he's
- 15:53on that less favored unit right now.
- 15:55But that's why you have a buy window right now and that's why
- 15:58you know, you're you're banking on him getting back to where you
- 16:00should be because he's the best centre on that team.
- 16:03Yep, absolutely. Cool.
- 16:06So Kevin, why don't you start us off with the sell highs and
- 16:10we'll do Josh's first. All right, so if you're upset
- 16:13with me, take it up with Josh, but his cell high for this week
- 16:17is Lucas Raymond. He says it's not surprising to
- 16:21see Raymond have a breakout year this year as he's Detroit's best
- 16:24young player who was drafted 4th overall in the 2020 draft.
- 16:27What is surprising is just how much he's broken out this year,
- 16:30but also in the past months since the coaching change.
- 16:33He's had incredible production in the last month.
- 16:35He has 1.47 points per game with 0.67 power play points and three
- 16:40shots on goal, which is just insane production.
- 16:42It's like elite elite level. This is a certain amount of
- 16:45points and power play points there will definitely regress.
- 16:48Josh expects him to finish around one point per game and
- 16:500.3 power play points, so now is the time to sell high on him.
- 16:53I think those are very reasonable numbers.
- 16:56He's also shooting more than he usually does with three shots on
- 16:58goal where he's usually close to two shots on goal normally.
- 17:01So shooting at least one shot on goal over a expected as of right
- 17:04now. And the whole team is benefiting
- 17:06from the new coach bump and the power play has been one of the
- 17:08top in the league since they changed was 0.67 is just
- 17:11completely unsustainable and a major sign of regression to
- 17:14come. With how well Raymond has been
- 17:16playing, you could probably get a serious elite player in
- 17:18return. Josh, listen, some names that
- 17:20you can probably aim for like Jack Hughes, Jake Guentzel,
- 17:23William Nielander, Matthew Kuchuk.
- 17:26So obviously these are really elite talents.
- 17:28And I really agree with Josh in terms of selling him high.
- 17:31Like averaging almost 1.5 points per game over a month is just
- 17:34insane, right? Like that's like McKinnon,
- 17:37McDavid, Kucherov level numbers, right?
- 17:39And those guys aren't even hitting that recently.
- 17:41So obviously you know that the value is going to come down and
- 17:440.7 power play points is not. The Detroit power play should
- 17:48not be anywhere close to that. Obviously the new coach bump is
- 17:50great, but like Josh said, if that gets cut down to from by
- 17:540.4, back down to 0.3, which is already a serious power play,
- 17:58that already brings it down to a point per game.
- 18:00And if he regresses anymore, he'll be right below that level.
- 18:03If you could get Jack Hughes, that would be insane.
- 18:06Obviously the two game playoff schedule, like we mentioned
- 18:08earlier in the episode is is not ideal.
- 18:10But if you're flipping a guy like Lucas Raymond forum, it's
- 18:12obviously worth it. Jake Guentzel I love I would do
- 18:15that slip in a heartbeat. Matthew could Chuck as well and
- 18:17William Nylander, who also has A2 game playoff week.
- 18:20So you have to keep that in mind if your team is already stacked.
- 18:22But we're gonna get so much value rest of season and already
- 18:25he's such a high level player that you're getting in exchange.
- 18:29It would be a great options. Yeah, I really like this as a
- 18:33sell high as well. I think like, you know, the
- 18:37whole Red Wings team has kind of been a sell high for the past
- 18:39little bit, but mainly Raymond and Larkin have been the main
- 18:44beneficiaries of this. So yeah, to me, I think it's
- 18:48fantastic. It's just that the targets seem
- 18:50a little bit unrealistic personally, only because they
- 18:53have such tremendous name value. Yeah.
- 18:57I mean, if you can pull it off, that's fantastic.
- 18:59It's just that I'm, I think you could even aim a little bit
- 19:02lower and still be pretty happy. Like if you were to trade him
- 19:05for like, I don't know what Matt Boldy that would feel.
- 19:08Good, honestly, one of the names I had in mind.
- 19:10I think if you get boldy, if you can get Marsha so who has a
- 19:13great playoff schedule as well. Body has a great playoff
- 19:16schedule like those are great guys.
- 19:18Maybe even get Jason Robertson who was a good playoff schedule
- 19:22in Dallas. Like that's what the kind of
- 19:24names that have in mind try to capitalize on on the tier up and
- 19:27also optimize the playoff schedule.
- 19:29Yeah, how about, that's an interesting one.
- 19:32How about Wyatt Johnston? I think I'd rather have Lucas
- 19:36Raymond, but that's close. Like the deal breaker may be the
- 19:40the playoff schedule. Like if you're in a position
- 19:42where you know you're on a team that's going to be for sure in
- 19:45the playoffs and you want to get a better schedule, I think I
- 19:49think Johnson would be good. The issue is if you're a playoff
- 19:52starting Week 22, which is, you know, the first round of the
- 19:55playoffs in leagues that you have to your championship match
- 19:57in the Week 24, Detroit only has two games.
- 19:59So that's going to be tough if you have Raymond for that week,
- 20:02if you can flip it for somebody that has a better week.
- 20:04Then then great, but then Detroit has a four-game week in
- 20:07the championship I believe. So then obviously it pays
- 20:10dividends. So you just gotta see how your
- 20:12team fits. But I think you can probably get
- 20:15higher than Johnston. Yeah, yeah, without good
- 20:18Raymond. That's true.
- 20:19Cool. So then for my sell high this
- 20:21week, I have someone who has been on an absolute surge
- 20:25recently. It's been really something to
- 20:28watch. It's Thomas Hurdle of the Vegas
- 20:30Golden Knights. For a while.
- 20:33He was really slumping so much and he was actually my week 14
- 20:37hold on our AD drop hold episode.
- 20:39Add, hold, drop, whatever you wanna call it.
- 20:42But yeah, I really hope you held on to him because since then
- 20:46he's been an absolute stud. He's currently averaging 1.4
- 20:49points per game over the last two weeks, as well as .5 power
- 20:53play points, 3.3 shots, one hit, and 1.4 blocks, which is absurd
- 20:59for forward. And at the time I recommended
- 21:03him as a hold with the Golden Knights, they they were trying
- 21:06him out as the on with the wing. But as you can see, he's able to
- 21:11be much more productive as a centre.
- 21:14This is simply beyond what we can expect from him rest of
- 21:18season though it's not gonna continue with this insane pace.
- 21:21I expect this points to regress to about point 8.9, which still
- 21:25outpaces the scoring from last year.
- 21:27And I also expect to shots to be around 2 to 2.5.
- 21:30So it's pretty tremendous regression.
- 21:33There's nothing wrong with keeping them on your team,
- 21:35especially in a bangers leagues and especially in one with
- 21:39faceoff wins. But this is going to be as high
- 21:41as value on the season. So I chop them around.
- 21:44Now if I could, some targets I'm looking at are celebrity on the
- 21:49sharks. I think Robert Thomas Thomas my
- 21:52aforementioned buy low that could be a pretty good one.
- 21:55Tim Stutzel on the Senators and William Nylander and I actually
- 22:01think that I would aim for Nature's Plus if you can do that
- 22:08and if not plus then I think I would just rather Natures than
- 22:11Hurdle rest of season. So to me Natures is a pretty
- 22:14good target if you can sell Hurdle for him.
- 22:18Yep, I agree with everything you're saying.
- 22:20Like he's producing an absurd rate right now so now's the time
- 22:23to capitalize. I think some of the targets are
- 22:26great. I think Nylander is maybe tough
- 22:29unless they're doing a package due to as well as those are like
- 22:32guys that you know, have been drafted high and are gonna hold
- 22:35a lot of weight and managers are not gonna want to part ways with
- 22:37the too easily. Nature is a great name.
- 22:41I think I also rather natures. I just feel like that's hard to
- 22:44trade for him now because people obviously are going to consider
- 22:47his value to have gone up since the trade.
- 22:49So people may be excited and not really want to get rid of them,
- 22:51but maybe when they look at what hurdles been doing, it really
- 22:54moves the needle because I would also take nature's rest of
- 22:57season. And yeah, I agree with
- 22:59everything else you said. I I think it's a great time to
- 23:02trade him right now and capitalize on on the absurd
- 23:05production. Yeah, and I won't like try to
- 23:08divert too much and with the natures element of it, but the
- 23:11reason I think that people would maybe be willing to do the
- 23:15nature swap, maybe natures plus even is because people may be
- 23:19low on natures now that he's on the avalanche and he's not
- 23:23ranting in. So given the fact that I.
- 23:26Don't know you have to play your league that way and see where
- 23:28your managers thinking another head is up.
- 23:30Exactly. That's exactly it.
- 23:32But yeah, Hurdle is just over performing simply and I think
- 23:35you could sell them for a tier up for sure.
- 23:39Alright, I'll end it with my cell high this week.
- 23:42It is a player that I almost never roster in fantasy because
- 23:47of his category coverage, but it is defenseman Adam Fox of the
- 23:52New York Rangers. So the Rangers have been better
- 23:55as of late because they were atrocious for what, like two
- 23:57months? But Fox is notoriously one of
- 24:00the defensemen that gets the most points with no category
- 24:02coverage. So if you're paying playing a
- 24:04bangers league or league that does value hits, shots, blocks,
- 24:07he's not really going to help you complete there, even though
- 24:10he is one of the more elite than reliable point producing
- 24:13defensemen. So that being paired with the
- 24:16fact that the Rangers played two games that week 24 of the of the
- 24:19fantasy season, which is the championship weekend most weeks,
- 24:21I'd be looking to flip them for guys that have better playoff
- 24:23schedule and also better well-rounded players overall,
- 24:28because I think if you can trade them for a guy like, you know,
- 24:30Mackenzie Weeger, who is his PowerPoint production has not
- 24:33been, you know, up to par, but it's category coverage is
- 24:36insane. One of the most elite in the
- 24:38whole league if you can get Evan Bouchard, who maybe isn't
- 24:41playing to his top producing a potential right now, or if you
- 24:44can get Sergachev plus like ice straight up prefers circuit chip
- 24:47over Adam Fox rest of season. I know that a lot of people may
- 24:50think that's a hot take, but yeah, that's how I feel.
- 24:53So you can get surf plus that would be a great trade.
- 24:56You just really want to take advantage of the Rangers recent
- 24:58resurgence and you know, get a guy that does have a 2 game
- 25:02playoff championship week off your roster for a guy that's,
- 25:05you know, better overall as well.
- 25:08Because I don't know about you, but if you're playing a guy,
- 25:10he's not getting a point and he's also getting zeros across
- 25:12the board, it's not really fun to have on your team.
- 25:14I really like building my team where guys are, you know,
- 25:17contributing in multiple categories at the same time that
- 25:19also have points upside. So I think that's really why I
- 25:22don't usually have Adam Fox on my rosters.
- 25:24But if you do and you're looking to capitalize on this last month
- 25:28of production, there's almost a point per game.
- 25:30I think it's a great time. Yeah, agreed.
- 25:33And I actually think that these are fantastic targets.
- 25:36Pretty much. Weaker is different archetype
- 25:40and so is searched to a certain degree, but Bouchard is and Fox
- 25:45are similar I guess. And I mean I think Boucher gets
- 25:49more points than him for sure rest of season and Bush shoots a
- 25:51lot more. Also Edmonton is a is a great
- 25:53power play. Not that the Rangers aren't, but
- 25:55the Rangers, the Oilers don't have two games in the
- 25:57championship week right? I also think if you compare Fox
- 26:01with maybe somebody else and tear up to a Dalene who hasn't
- 26:04been playing to the best of his abilities lately like that might
- 26:07be also a good option. Yeah, I really like that idea.
- 26:11I'm, I'm with you here for sure. It's on a previous episode, we
- 26:15kind of were talking about Shea Theodore and Adam Fox.
- 26:19And like, these are two players who don't have much for
- 26:22backyards going on, but they're really good with points.
- 26:24And it's depending on the makeup of your league.
- 26:26In a points league, you're happy having Adam Fox, but I still
- 26:29think that you could trade him for something more reliable as
- 26:32people. Love Adam Fox like he has a
- 26:34name, values a former Norris Trophy winner.
- 26:37He has pull. People know that he's a good,
- 26:39good points defenseman and that carries a lot of weight.
- 26:42Yeah, yeah. And the only thing I got is that
- 26:45maybe you can, I don't know how much you have to add to the
- 26:49trade if you want to get Darlene.
- 26:51I think in Bangers league, like there's a sizeable difference,
- 26:56but I would try to just send folks for deleting straight up.
- 26:59And if you can't get that, then I would add something modest.
- 27:03But you don't have to go too crazy with it because I think
- 27:04that's a very attainable trade right now.
- 27:07So yeah, I really like it, Kevin.
- 27:09It's good. I.
- 27:10Love that. Cool.
- 27:11So yeah, that wraps it up for our Week 17 buy low and sell
- 27:18high episode. Sorry, I forgot he.
- 27:20Doesn't have enough fingers. That Council takes him a while.
- 27:22Yeah, that was mean. Anyway, I'm just gonna do this
