- 0:02Speaker 1: This is am I the problem?
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's me?
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hill On the problem.
- 0:08Speaker 3: It's me. We'll hear one side of the story and
- 0:11Speaker 3: with your help probably decide if it's right or if maybe.
- 0:17Speaker 1: You're the problem.
- 0:18Speaker 3: That's right, I am the problem on Big ninety eight
- 0:21Speaker 3: point seven.
- 0:24Speaker 4: All right, we had Brad right into us.
- 0:26Speaker 2: He's engaged and he's worried he's about to be a
- 0:29Speaker 2: bad fiancee, a bad husband before he even gets married.
- 0:33Speaker 5: Oh man, join the club. We meet on Tuesdays.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Game And am I about to be a bad.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Husband before I'm even married? Here's the situation. My fiance
- 0:43Speaker 2: and I attended a wedding and my buddy also attended
- 0:47Speaker 2: the wedding and is invited to ours.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Lots of mutual friends getting married this year.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Anyway, he brought his plus one and she basically looks
- 0:55Speaker 2: like a model and wore a sexy dress. Let me
- 0:58Speaker 2: be clear, my fiance say pointed this out, not me.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Since my buddy.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Since my buddy is coming to our wedding, my fiance
- 1:08Speaker 2: has asked me to tell him that his plus one
- 1:11Speaker 2: either has to tone down the sexy look or not
- 1:14Speaker 2: bring her. She doesn't find it appropriate and she wants
- 1:17Speaker 2: to be the center of attention.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Since she's the bride.
- 1:20Speaker 2: I told her she will be the center of attention
- 1:22Speaker 2: regardless of what anyone wears, especially to me.
- 1:26Speaker 4: I really don't want to say.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Oh, I really don't want to tell my guy he's
- 1:30Speaker 2: got to tell his girl to tone it down. That's
- 1:32Speaker 2: uncomfortable and I really think unnecessary. Help me out, Gabe,
- 1:38Speaker 2: you have been a groom before I have.
- 1:42Speaker 4: What are your thoughts on this?
- 1:43Speaker 5: This is very simple, Brad, very very simple. Welcome to marriage.
- 1:50Speaker 5: When you are a dude. Okay, when you are a
- 1:52Speaker 5: guy and you get married, the rest of your life.
- 1:55Speaker 5: And I'm stealing this from something I learned on that
- 1:58Speaker 5: seventies show. Okay, when you are a dude and you
- 2:00Speaker 5: get married, your life is going to be just full
- 2:04Speaker 5: of doing stuff you don't want to do.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Okay, so you just do this. Here's what I will say.
- 2:11Speaker 5: You don't have to tell the girl this, this is
- 2:13Speaker 5: your friend. Can't you just have an honest conversation with
- 2:16Speaker 5: your buddy and be like, hey, dude, my wife kind
- 2:18Speaker 5: of wants to be the star of the show, star
- 2:20Speaker 5: of the day, center of attention that day.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Is there any way you.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Can ask I don't know whatever her name is, Bethany,
- 2:25Speaker 5: to maybe just wear something a little more modest. That
- 2:29Speaker 5: should be a conversation you can easily have with your buddy.
- 2:32Speaker 5: If you had to say this to the girl, I'm
- 2:34Speaker 5: running to the hills. I'm not doing that. I'm definitely
- 2:36Speaker 5: not having that conversation. But this should be a very
- 2:39Speaker 5: simple request from your friend or to your friend, and yes,
- 2:45Speaker 5: you gotta do it, bro, That's what being a guy is,
- 2:47Speaker 5: just doing stuff you don't want to do.
- 2:48Speaker 2: What do you think seven oh one two eight oz
- 2:51Speaker 2: one nine eight seven We also have this up on
- 2:53Speaker 2: the Big nine Day Points. I have a Facebook page.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I do not agree with you, Gabe. I think that
- 2:57Speaker 2: his fiance is being ridiculous. I think that's wow.
- 3:01Speaker 4: I do not think that she should ask him to
- 3:03Speaker 4: say that.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I think that he can tell I'm sure that's his friend,
- 3:07Speaker 2: he can talk to him candidly cool, but I don't
- 3:10Speaker 2: think he should have to.
- 3:11Speaker 4: I think that is ridiculous.
- 3:13Speaker 2: If that girl was wearing white to the friend's wedding,
- 3:16Speaker 2: then that would be a problem.
- 3:17Speaker 4: You don't want to white to someone else's writing that's
- 3:19Speaker 4: a movie.
- 3:20Speaker 2: But in terms of like, well, her dress is too
- 3:22Speaker 2: sexy and I want to be Okay, you gotta get
- 3:24Speaker 2: over the insecurity.
- 3:25Speaker 6: Girl.
- 3:25Speaker 4: You have to get over that because also you're.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Not dating the friend, Like what do you care what
- 3:30Speaker 2: his plus one is doing your What you should care
- 3:34Speaker 2: about is that a you're the by virtue of being
- 3:37Speaker 2: the bride, you will be the center of attention. The
- 3:39Speaker 2: literal entire event is catered for that. And if your
- 3:43Speaker 2: man that you're marrying is the one that's telling you, like, hey,
- 3:47Speaker 2: I will be the one that is super into you,
- 3:49Speaker 2: that is all that you should care about. I don't
- 3:51Speaker 2: think it's giving hater and I don't like that. I'm
- 3:54Speaker 2: a girl's girl, Okay, which may I kind of sound
- 3:57Speaker 2: like I'm not because I'm saying that the fiance is
- 3:59Speaker 2: the problem. Okay, I digress, and I just backed herself
- 4:04Speaker 2: into a car now corner. But I think it's absurd.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I think that there's some insecurity that she needs to
- 4:10Speaker 2: deal with herself, because I don't think it should matter
- 4:13Speaker 2: what unless it was a bikini Like I can't imagine
- 4:16Speaker 2: this girl was at the other friend's wedding in.
- 4:19Speaker 4: A bikini or something like. I don't know. I feel
- 4:23Speaker 4: like it's a ridiculous.
- 4:24Speaker 5: Ask what kind of wedding is that? Seven one two
- 4:28Speaker 5: eight zero one nine eight seven. Give us a call
- 4:30Speaker 5: right now or you can text us obviously. I'm sure
- 4:32Speaker 5: this is up on Facebook as well the time on in.
- 4:35Speaker 5: Let's see if we can help out Brad today, and
- 4:43Speaker 5: we do have Rob on the phone. Rob, what do
- 4:45Speaker 5: you think here this morning trying to help out Brad?
- 4:49Speaker 2: Rob?
- 4:50Speaker 6: Well, I have to say I am teen gabe today.
- 4:53Speaker 6: You know, yes, I needs to man up a little
- 4:55Speaker 6: bit because I've been been married for a few years,
- 5:00Speaker 6: around fourteen years with my wife. And the one phrase
- 5:04Speaker 6: that he's going to have to learn very quickly is yes, dear.
- 5:06Speaker 5: That's always a good one to have in the back pocket.
- 5:09Speaker 5: That's like the Swiss army knife of husband sayings.
- 5:12Speaker 6: Absolutely yes dear, whether you like it or not.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yes dear, you know what I actually do?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Like that energy, Rob.
- 5:19Speaker 5: Would you agree half of being a husband is just
- 5:22Speaker 5: doing a bunch of stuff you don't want to do?
- 5:24Speaker 3: Oh?
- 5:24Speaker 6: Absolutely, absolutely, yep, that's that's percent. You just have to
- 5:29Speaker 6: do it. Yes, dear, that's all I could say. Just
- 5:31Speaker 6: remember those two words there.
- 5:33Speaker 5: And we thank you Rob for the phone call. We
- 5:35Speaker 5: appreciate it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good advice. Good to be nice O.
- 5:37Speaker 2: So Brad and his fiance they have an upcoming wedding.
- 5:41Speaker 2: The fiance is worried that one of their friends who's
- 5:45Speaker 2: attending the plus one dresses very sexy, and she doesn't
- 5:49Speaker 2: want that.
- 5:50Speaker 4: At her wedding. She wants to be the center of attention.
- 5:52Speaker 2: She wants Brad to say to his buddy, hey, make
- 5:54Speaker 2: sure you're plus one?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Where's a frock?
- 5:57Speaker 2: Essentially, no, make sure you're plus one?
- 6:00Speaker 4: Tones it down, but Brad.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Like he feels uncomfortable. He doesn't want to ask his
- 6:06Speaker 2: buddy to tell his date that. So I think it's ridiculous.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I think that she's asking him to do something absurd.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I do not agree with this. Brad, You are not
- 6:18Speaker 2: the problem. Your fiance is the problem for asking you
- 6:21Speaker 2: to do this. However, Gabe is on the other side
- 6:24Speaker 2: of this, and Rob agreed with him. Just go ahead
- 6:28Speaker 2: and tell your buddy, hey, make sure your plus onst
- 6:31Speaker 2: dress is modest.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I find this kind of funny.
- 6:34Speaker 5: And she is the bride, you know, It's kind of
- 6:36Speaker 5: one of those when the bride says jump, you just
- 6:38Speaker 5: say how high that got?
- 6:40Speaker 2: Well?
- 6:40Speaker 5: I find it interesting that this bride is now going
- 6:43Speaker 5: to get two dudes to have an awkward conversation that
- 6:46Speaker 5: they have to have one Brad is you know in theory,
- 6:49Speaker 5: you're going to have to say to his buddy, Hey,
- 6:51Speaker 5: could you tell you know, Cindy or whatever, Yeah, to.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Not wear this at our wedding.
- 6:56Speaker 5: And now this dude has to go to Cindy, his
- 7:00Speaker 5: girlfriend or whatever. Yeah, I'd be like, hey, could you
- 7:02Speaker 5: not wear this at the That's a double dose of
- 7:06Speaker 5: dudes doing stuff they just don't want to do.
- 7:08Speaker 1: That's what being a husband's all about.
- 7:10Speaker 4: You're so white. I can't believe.
- 7:12Speaker 2: I feel like on the Facebook page siding with me,
- 7:16Speaker 2: and it's ladies. It's all of the ladies are against and.
- 7:21Speaker 5: And I'm seeing this on Facebook. There's a lot of
- 7:24Speaker 5: ladies here saying, what is it, Angie? If the plus
- 7:28Speaker 5: one isn't in the wedding or trying to wear white,
- 7:30Speaker 5: then she doesn't get to dictate what she wears. Yeah, yeah,
- 7:34Speaker 5: fair enough. I suppose that's true. But and we're seeing
- 7:37Speaker 5: a lot of that where people agree with Angie. The
- 7:39Speaker 5: point is, though no one's giving Brad actual advice. You're
- 7:42Speaker 5: just saying that she's being ridiculous. Well, Brad's gonna say
- 7:45Speaker 5: that to his fiance, get out of here. That's that's
- 7:47Speaker 5: not gonna go over.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Well, Gabe and Angie and the Big ninety eight points
- 7:51Speaker 2: even listeners said, you're ridiculous.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you know what, I don't think that is gonna fly.
- 7:56Speaker 5: That's like a you know, why don't you calm down?
- 7:58Speaker 5: That works that one so well too. So I'm seeing
- 8:02Speaker 5: a lot of people who do think this is ridiculous,
- 8:04Speaker 5: and it kind of is right. It is a little
- 8:06Speaker 5: bit strange for a bride to be worried about someone
- 8:08Speaker 5: else being the center of attention. But I'm not seeing
- 8:11Speaker 5: anyone actually helping out Brad. You know who came to
- 8:13Speaker 5: Brad's defense. The two dudes this morning. Okay, who are
- 8:17Speaker 5: hobbies and we're trying to give you the real advice, Brad.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Your life from here going forward is doing a bunch
- 8:23Speaker 5: of stuff you don't want to do.
- 8:24Speaker 1: You're just gonna have to do it. Bro.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I hate to say it, but I think Gabe's.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Right celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude
- 8:38Speaker 3: on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 8:39Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 8:42Speaker 2: past and job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Share your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 8:48Speaker 3: two and Oho one ninety eight seven kids.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I also needed to win that day.
- 8:52Speaker 5: Now, Angie, typically I let you go first here, but
- 8:55Speaker 5: I want to share Amelias with us because you're someone
- 8:59Speaker 5: who has been involved in subscriber land before. Okay, Amelia said,
- 9:05Speaker 5: I just got my very first subscriber for a website
- 9:08Speaker 5: I made. I know it's not much, but at least
- 9:10Speaker 5: I now, at least now I know someone out there
- 9:12Speaker 5: found my idea and thought that's worth it.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So way to go, Amelia.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Yes, text us back, let us know the website. I
- 9:18Speaker 2: can't guarantee I'll subscribe. I'm kidding, but that is amazing. Honestly,
- 9:23Speaker 2: I used to do a million years ago. I was
- 9:26Speaker 2: a YouTuber and every time my subscriber count went up,
- 9:29Speaker 2: it was exciting because it's a payoff. You're working hard,
- 9:32Speaker 2: you're doing something, and you think is anyone even interested?
- 9:37Speaker 2: And then once you hit a subscriber, it's like, Okay,
- 9:40Speaker 2: at least one person, that's dope.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I love that, Amelia.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Do you have a little victory for us from the
- 9:45Speaker 1: weekend Angie.
- 9:46Speaker 2: I do my son Liam. It was his birthday yesterday.
- 9:50Speaker 2: He turned nine, his last year in.
- 9:53Speaker 4: The single digits. I could hardly believe it. Wow.
- 9:57Speaker 2: But we recently, in the last a month, discovered that
- 10:02Speaker 2: he really likes to hit golf balls.
- 10:04Speaker 4: He's into golf.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Golf is now his thing, and so Mikey it was
- 10:08Speaker 2: Mikey's great idea to surprise him for his birthday with
- 10:11Speaker 2: his very own set of golf clubs. And when we
- 10:15Speaker 2: surprised him with it, he was so stoked and he said,
- 10:17Speaker 2: this is like the best, the best one ever about
- 10:21Speaker 2: like of all the gifts that he got.
- 10:22Speaker 4: Sure, And so then we went over to sweet shots.
- 10:25Speaker 4: He was hitting golf up.
- 10:26Speaker 2: This kid has a swing on him and like he
- 10:30Speaker 2: hits the but he's good.
- 10:32Speaker 4: He's good. So I think we're gonna.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Like really nurture this foster this because I think we
- 10:36Speaker 2: got a little golfer.
- 10:37Speaker 4: On our hand.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm all about that. You know.
- 10:39Speaker 5: At some point I got a caddie one of these
- 10:41Speaker 5: kids to go out and go to the PGA tour
- 10:43Speaker 5: or if baby g is on the LPGAO. Yeah, so
- 10:47Speaker 5: I got it. That's my retirement plan. I is no savings.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Nothing like that. It's just kids playing professional golf.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Well, little Liam is on his way, so yeah, it
- 10:57Speaker 2: was just nice to celebrate him.
- 10:58Speaker 4: And it's just wild that nine year years ago I
- 11:00Speaker 4: had a baby.
- 11:01Speaker 1: What wow, what about.
- 11:02Speaker 5: You, Gabe, my little victory. Well, I got to go
- 11:06Speaker 5: to a baby expo thing this weekend with Corey and
- 11:11Speaker 5: it was a lot of fun.
- 11:13Speaker 1: It's always kind of fun to go to these.
- 11:14Speaker 5: And learn all the different supports and helps there are,
- 11:17Speaker 5: and things that you might not even think about for
- 11:20Speaker 5: baby g But it was the Fargo Belly, Baby and
- 11:22Speaker 5: Kids Expo nice over at the Holiday Inn on thirteenth,
- 11:27Speaker 5: and it was great.
- 11:28Speaker 1: We were walking around. All that was fun.
- 11:30Speaker 5: You know, you got the pamphlets of things you might
- 11:32Speaker 5: be interested in, things you might have questions on, things
- 11:34Speaker 5: you might have questions on in the future. All that
- 11:36Speaker 5: part was wonderful. But let me tell you, this little
- 11:39Speaker 5: victory is so vain. Okay, but your boy and my
- 11:45Speaker 5: lovely wife, Corey, we took a photo I at this
- 11:49Speaker 5: Fargo Belly and Baby and Kids Expo. Yeah, and I
- 11:53Speaker 5: my hair is kind of long all because of this bet. Yeah,
- 11:56Speaker 5: with Angie. My hair is now it's like grabbable. Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 5: you know, because forever I just always would buzz it
- 12:03Speaker 5: down to basically nothing, and now you can grab chunks
- 12:07Speaker 5: of hair.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Well, one day I was talking to Angie.
- 12:09Speaker 5: I was like, you know what, I think I'm gonna
- 12:10Speaker 5: start pushing my hair back just for fun, Like I
- 12:13Speaker 5: just wanted something to do.
- 12:15Speaker 4: And I told you not to do it.
- 12:16Speaker 5: Yeah, And after taking that photo at which you can
- 12:19Speaker 5: see on my Instagram, which I never plugged, by the way,
- 12:22Speaker 5: but on my Instagram you can see how long this
- 12:23Speaker 5: hair is getting, I've kind of slicked it back a
- 12:26Speaker 5: little bit here. Yeah, it looks so good.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Looks so good, looks so good. So good, Gabe, I
- 12:32Speaker 4: have such a full head of hair.
- 12:33Speaker 5: It is so nice to know at thirty five, I'm
- 12:36Speaker 5: not losing any of it.
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's pretty great.
- 12:38Speaker 2: But no, it looks good. Here's the thing I'll say.
- 12:42Speaker 2: I definitely was wrong. You're what is that quote for
- 12:47Speaker 2: me and girls? Doesn't his hair look sexy pushed back?
- 12:50Speaker 4: Tell him his hair looks sexy pushed back. Gosh, dang it, Gabe,
- 12:53Speaker 4: you look really good.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Good.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Appreciate we saw the picture.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I love for you to be a little vain we
- 12:58Speaker 2: saw the picture, Mikey and I. We're scrolling through and
- 13:01Speaker 2: I showed Mikey and he goes, oh, yeah, he's got
- 13:05Speaker 2: a full head of hair, Like, yeah, you look so good.
- 13:08Speaker 4: So you know what, the best thing that ever happened
- 13:10Speaker 4: to you, and I'll take this as my victory.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Is you losing a bet to me where the punishment
- 13:18Speaker 2: in quotes is that you had to grow your hair
- 13:20Speaker 2: out until baby Gena is born.
- 13:22Speaker 4: I think you should keep it forever. It looks so good.
- 13:24Speaker 5: I got hotter. That's a little fifty life. This weekend,
- 13:37Speaker 5: the Minnesota Wild. They beat the Dallas Stars to tie
- 13:40Speaker 5: up the series two to two, and what an awesome
- 13:45Speaker 5: hockey game. Even better that had started at about four
- 13:48Speaker 5: thirty on Saturday, very back and forth. I think Wild
- 13:52Speaker 5: players and fans have learned a couple of things in
- 13:56Speaker 5: this series. The Minnesota Wild, if they stay out of
- 13:58Speaker 5: the penalty box, which kind of goes without saying, but
- 14:01Speaker 5: stay out of the penalty box, they're gonna win the games.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Yeah, five on five, they are just better.
- 14:07Speaker 5: And that kind of proved on Saturday and on Saturday.
- 14:11Speaker 5: The reason we're talking about this is I have this
- 14:13Speaker 5: Minnesota Wild hat that I had been waiting to wear
- 14:17Speaker 5: for the playoffs as kind of a superstition sort of thing.
- 14:22Speaker 5: And Game one I wore it, they won. Game two,
- 14:26Speaker 5: I wore it until the end when I had to
- 14:28Speaker 5: lay down in my bed and took the hat off.
- 14:30Speaker 1: They lost.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Same thing happened in Game three. Now Saturday rolls around
- 14:34Speaker 5: a nice afternoon game. Do you think I was prepped
- 14:37Speaker 5: and ready to go with this hat, Angie.
- 14:38Speaker 2: That's what I would hope, because I feel like you set.
- 14:41Speaker 4: The precedent when you took off the hat. They did
- 14:43Speaker 4: not win.
- 14:44Speaker 5: Yeah, and well, of course I did not have the
- 14:46Speaker 5: hat on on Saturday. I did have a Minnesota Wild
- 14:48Speaker 5: hoodie on, but I did not have my Minnesota Wild
- 14:52Speaker 5: hat and they ended up winning. So really, I've learned
- 14:55Speaker 5: a big lesson here. My hat might not have much
- 14:58Speaker 5: to do with the game. Okay, I want to believe that,
- 15:01Speaker 5: but right it probably is a sad fact. But that
- 15:04Speaker 5: does not mean we don't have superstitions all right, Like
- 15:07Speaker 5: in baseball growing up right, a lot of players when
- 15:12Speaker 5: they jog out onto the field, they avoid a stepping
- 15:15Speaker 5: on the chalk the white line for the foul or
- 15:18Speaker 5: fair tas. Yeah, a lot of baseball players do that.
- 15:21Speaker 5: I was the opposite. I would purposefully step on it
- 15:25Speaker 5: just because I thought it was funny. And I would
- 15:27Speaker 5: have players who deny are teammates who did not love
- 15:29Speaker 5: that I would do that. So I wanted to know,
- 15:32Speaker 5: do you have any sports superstitions? Is there a chair
- 15:35Speaker 5: you have to sit in when the Vikes are playing?
- 15:37Speaker 5: Or is there a section at the Fargo Dome you're like,
- 15:40Speaker 5: I gotta sit here when NDSU is hosting a game.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Let us know seven oh one two, eight zero one,
- 15:46Speaker 5: nine eighty seven. This is also up on Facebook, Angie,
- 15:50Speaker 5: Are you superstitious or do you have some type of
- 15:53Speaker 5: a superstitious thing you do?
- 15:54Speaker 2: For the first sports specifically? So, I'm an Eagles fan,
- 15:58Speaker 2: which is I'm married into it. I said if I
- 16:00Speaker 2: ever got divorced, I wouldn't leave the team.
- 16:02Speaker 4: So here I am anyway, I'm an Eagles fan.
- 16:06Speaker 2: But back when the first time the Eagles won the
- 16:09Speaker 2: Super Bowl during the playoffs, I did not watch the
- 16:14Speaker 2: playoff game, and my ex at the time but I
- 16:17Speaker 2: just kept refreshing the score on my phone and my
- 16:19Speaker 2: husband at the time wore a pair of Eagles socks
- 16:23Speaker 2: and because.
- 16:24Speaker 4: They won that playoff game.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Then we decided, Okay, we have to keep this energy
- 16:29Speaker 2: to get them to the super Bowl.
- 16:32Speaker 4: So next game I did not watch.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I just refreshed the score on my phone, and he
- 16:36Speaker 2: wore those socks all the way until the actual Super Bowl,
- 16:40Speaker 2: and to.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Keep the energy, I did not watch.
- 16:43Speaker 2: I did not watch my team play in the Super
- 16:46Speaker 2: Bowl because I thought I had to keep the good
- 16:48Speaker 2: juju going and commitment.
- 16:50Speaker 4: It is.
- 16:51Speaker 2: So I was just refreshing the score on my phone
- 16:54Speaker 2: and he was wearing the socks, and they won.
- 16:57Speaker 4: So I fully believe that it was.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Because of the two dumb things that me and my
- 17:03Speaker 2: then husband didn't that's why they won the Super Bowl,
- 17:06Speaker 2: not you know, practice and skill right coaching or anything down. No,
- 17:11Speaker 2: it was fully because I didn't watch. In fact, anytime
- 17:14Speaker 2: the Eagles play, I feel.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Like I was.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I watch as little of the game as possibly because
- 17:18Speaker 2: I think they can sense my anxiety through the screen
- 17:21Speaker 2: and then they.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Make errors and they can. Yeah, yeah, they definitely can. Uh.
- 17:27Speaker 5: Was that the year they beat the Vikings in the
- 17:29Speaker 5: NFC Championship game?
- 17:30Speaker 4: Probably?
- 17:31Speaker 1: Okay, so that's.
- 17:32Speaker 5: Why they got to the Super Bowl and had nothing
- 17:34Speaker 5: to do with you not watching seven oh one two
- 17:37Speaker 5: eight zero one nine eight seven. Are you superstitious? It
- 17:40Speaker 5: doesn't really have to be about sports either. If it's
- 17:42Speaker 5: something else, we'd love for you to share. Let us
- 17:44Speaker 5: know here this morning. I know there are like you know,
- 17:47Speaker 5: when the Little League World Series rolls around, you'll see
- 17:50Speaker 5: it on Sports Center. There are players who will not
- 17:53Speaker 5: watch their jerseys when they win, not change their underwear.
- 17:56Speaker 5: There are some people who are fully committed to the
- 18:00Speaker 5: superstition bit, and it's really gross. We don't need to
- 18:04Speaker 5: get into a ton of details, but this lady has
- 18:07Speaker 5: gone viral for all the wrong reasons and honestly, something
- 18:10Speaker 5: she'll probably suffer from for the rest of her life.
- 18:13Speaker 1: This lady.
- 18:14Speaker 5: Yeah, this lady fell into a porta potty or the
- 18:17Speaker 5: floor collapsed or something along those lines, and then she
- 18:20Speaker 5: was stuck in it for three hours, which is quite
- 18:23Speaker 5: literally a new nightmare unlocked.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Worse, Yeah, that is a new nightmare unlocked.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Yeah, hopefully that's not the case for you. But have
- 18:31Speaker 5: you ever been stuck somewhere? Elevator, roller coaster, anything? Seven
- 18:36Speaker 5: oh one two, eight zero one eight seven, Angie, have
- 18:40Speaker 5: you ever been stuck somewhere?
- 18:41Speaker 1: I was stuck on something.
- 18:42Speaker 5: It wasn't for very long, thankfully, but it's like a
- 18:44Speaker 5: worst case scenario for some people.
- 18:46Speaker 2: I was stuck in an elevator, like an industrial elevator,
- 18:50Speaker 2: for about an hour.
- 18:52Speaker 4: This was back in two thousand, I would buy I
- 18:54Speaker 4: like that. I was doing the trash run.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I worked at a kid's clothing store, and I was
- 18:58Speaker 2: doing the trash run.
- 18:59Speaker 4: And it's this.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Big, gigantic elevator, but it's like in the back and
- 19:03Speaker 2: it's scary and ominous, and it just stopped.
- 19:07Speaker 4: Thankfully.
- 19:08Speaker 2: I had my phone on me in terms of like
- 19:10Speaker 2: trying to get help, but it was a flip phone
- 19:13Speaker 2: because the year was two thousand and five. So I
- 19:16Speaker 2: was bored. I was really bored stuck with a big,
- 19:19Speaker 2: heaping pile of trash inside this elevator for an hour.
- 19:26Speaker 3: No.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I mean it was funny, and you know, I got out.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Obviously I'm not broadcasting from the elevator. But it was
- 19:33Speaker 2: not great. I didn't love it. Where did you get stuck?
- 19:36Speaker 1: Gable?
- 19:36Speaker 5: Well, quickly, You're not the only one who's been stuck
- 19:38Speaker 5: in an elevator. Kelly said she was maybe maybe ten
- 19:41Speaker 5: minutes in an elevator at this assisted living home she
- 19:44Speaker 5: worked at. She says, luckily the residents were chill as
- 19:47Speaker 5: it happened a couple times not to me again, and
- 19:50Speaker 5: the elevator did get fixed. Pam was also stuck in
- 19:53Speaker 5: an elevator twice within a month, each time with her
- 19:59Speaker 5: less than one year old sun.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, that sounds like a nightmare.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I'd start to panic.
- 20:04Speaker 5: And then Emily was also in an elevator for about
- 20:06Speaker 5: an hour and a half.
- 20:07Speaker 2: You know what, if this were sitcom Land, every time
- 20:10Speaker 2: we were stuck in an elevator, there would also be
- 20:12Speaker 2: a pregnant woman about to give birth. Yeah, that was
- 20:15Speaker 2: such a ninety sitcom trope.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Such an elevator.
- 20:19Speaker 5: I was stuck on a roller coaster like at the
- 20:23Speaker 5: its peak for about it was only about ten minutes, thankfully.
- 20:27Speaker 4: That feels like an eternity if you're just sitting up there.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Yeah, if you're afraid of heights, that would be an
- 20:31Speaker 5: absolute nightmare.
- 20:32Speaker 1: It is terrible.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Now I'm not really afraid of heights per se, but
- 20:36Speaker 5: it is a bit uncomfortable because you hear the stories
- 20:39Speaker 5: of people who are stuck like upside down. Yah, for me,
- 20:42Speaker 5: it wasn't anything like that. For me, we were all
- 20:44Speaker 5: just stuck.
- 20:45Speaker 2: But then were you worried that it was like a
- 20:47Speaker 2: like what kind of malfunction was that?
- 20:49Speaker 4: I would be scared for it to start up again too.
- 20:52Speaker 5: It is kind of interesting because it's not like they're
- 20:54Speaker 5: gonna like roll you back down this giant incline.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 5: So yeah, you just kind of get to the end
- 21:00Speaker 5: and then they shut the ride down for a little bit.
- 21:03Speaker 5: That's horrible. Yeah, I hate that. That made me feel
- 21:06Speaker 5: away in my spine. Yeah, it wasn't the worst, but
- 21:10Speaker 5: definitely not my favorite thing of all time. Seven oh
- 21:13Speaker 5: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. Have you
- 21:16Speaker 5: ever been stuck in an elevator or anywhere?
- 21:19Speaker 1: I guess Veronica.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I got stuck in shapewear in a restaurant pathroom, like
- 21:24Speaker 3: fully trapped, couldn't get up or down.
- 21:26Speaker 6: My friend had to crawl under the stall and help
- 21:28Speaker 6: peel me out, like I was being reborn.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I missed the advertiser and a little bit of my dignity.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Can you help me, Angie, Like, can you explain how
- 21:36Speaker 5: would you get stuck in shapewear because I kind of
- 21:38Speaker 5: know what shapewear is?
- 21:39Speaker 2: No, Okay, so you're wearing shapewear literally to like suck
- 21:43Speaker 2: everything in, but sometimes if it's too ti, you can't
- 21:48Speaker 2: get out.
- 21:48Speaker 4: This is so I hate that. It's so relatable.
- 21:52Speaker 1: It's like so funny.
- 21:53Speaker 5: It's like trying to take a workout shirt off when
- 21:55Speaker 5: you're all sweaty and you can't pull it up.
- 21:57Speaker 4: And oh my gosh, that's the new fear unlocked.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 22:10Speaker 3: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Oh we got a good one today.
- 22:15Speaker 5: This is about Rhett Barberg from North Fargo, and this
- 22:18Speaker 5: kid is turning his lemonade stand into something pretty darn special.
- 22:22Speaker 5: Rhett set up his stand along tenth Street North this week,
- 22:26Speaker 5: braving the wind, waving down cars to sell his signature.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Cold lemonade, and he has a goal in mind.
- 22:32Speaker 5: He's raising money to attend Camp Maverick this June, which
- 22:35Speaker 5: is a camp for kids living with diabetes. It's something
- 22:38Speaker 5: his whole family has done, running lemonade stands to earn
- 22:41Speaker 5: their way, and now Rhet's carrying on the tradition. He
- 22:44Speaker 5: runs the stand himself. He makes the change himself. He
- 22:47Speaker 5: waves to the traffic and says the key to more customers.
- 22:50Speaker 5: You gotta wave like this kid's learning little entrepreneurial skills.
- 22:55Speaker 1: I suppose yes.
- 22:56Speaker 5: This will be his second year at camp where he
- 22:59Speaker 5: gets to connect with other kids just like him, and
- 23:02Speaker 5: he says he plans to be out selling as much
- 23:04Speaker 5: as possible because he wants to make a ton of money.
- 23:08Speaker 5: And that is a direct quote, and I love the
- 23:10Speaker 5: way you think, rhet. Honestly, it's pretty hard not to
- 23:13Speaker 5: root for a kid like that. So once again, this
- 23:16Speaker 5: is a long Tenth Street North for RHTT and his lemonade.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Stan help Brett attend camp, and if you see him,
- 23:23Speaker 5: stop by and grab yourself some lemonade.
- 23:25Speaker 4: I love that so much.
- 23:26Speaker 5: You know my favorite quote, Broken Crans. They still color
- 23:29Speaker 5: and the world is full of nice people. If you
- 23:31Speaker 5: can't find one, you gotta be one.
