- 0:53Glad to be here with you on this chilly February day we have. I
- 1:00made it to the halfway mark. Doesn't seem like it halfway mark of February
- 1:06Valentine's Day last night. So what you do is just wait about three o'clock
- 1:12today and go buy those same flowers for two Thursday price. Just just walk
- 1:21in there, get those same bouquets yesterday were one seventy nine. Today they'll
- 1:26be giving them away for seven dollars and ninety nine cent. They got to
- 1:30get rid of them flowers die. Gotta get all that inventory because we got
- 1:34a lot of guys here who sit on here with me. I know they
- 1:40didn't spend any money on flowers. I already know these guys here they're gonna
- 1:49die. They didn't even buy anything red right yesterday? Say it's true,
- 2:00but I don't think. I don't think you should just start with that,
- 2:04is what I'm saying. No, go ahead, true the devil looking at
- 2:10all gentleman's eyes and no no money got spent. Hit my wife with the
- 2:16fist. Bump you. I didn't say. You ain't bout no gibts or
- 2:21dinner or something like that, or value card or you know. Start.
- 2:25I know you didn't buy any flowers yesterday. I bought flowers. You did.
- 2:31I didn't buy flowers. Okay, Who did you buy flowers for from
- 2:37my girl? From my girlfriend? You bought them? Yeah yesterday? Yes,
- 2:43at a store. He paid full price. First of all, you
- 2:46buy everything online. Command. Wait, wait, so you say, you
- 2:51say line that would have arrived on Saturday. You say the flowers arrived at
- 2:59seventify How many dozen did you buy? One? One doesn't, one doesn't
- 3:06Okay, where you at the gas station you just a quick trip, you
- 3:10just just it hits you halfway home? Did you you saw everybody with flowers
- 3:15and belows like, what is this? What did you buy your your one
- 3:20dozen from? Uh? Publics? Publics? Okay? Okay? And what
- 3:23made you buy them? Did you specifically go to publics to buy them?
- 3:28Or it just hits you when you was in publics because everybody because if you
- 3:31go because if you went into public yesterday, because I went in to get
- 3:35some different items, and it was the first time I saw Publics kind of
- 3:43selling itself almost like a floral store, more flowers than I've ever seen.
- 3:49They had more different price range. And when I said that had like a
- 3:52one bouquet that was like one, I was like, Publics, these same
- 3:57red roses that was in here, you had to go for twelve ninety nine.
- 4:00You have to put in a bundle called it eight glass base and now
- 4:08you're charging one ninety nine. And so was this a pressure by or was
- 4:14this intentional? I walked in the store, my girl is going to love
- 4:18me tonight. Roses. It was the kind of flowers that she wanted.
- 4:26They that Publics had them, that knew they had them. Okay, pressure
- 4:30so they bought. Okay, so they were tulips. Okay, she wanted
- 4:35to see pressure by pressure by that. That wasn't your decision, that was
- 4:41Valentine's. And you wanted to get her flowers for Valentine, Yes, okay,
- 4:46and you decided to go with the tulip because that's her flower, right,
- 4:49Okay, gotcha, Okay, we can ride with that. Commands.
- 4:53So do you buy flowers from Publics on the Red because they do so.
- 4:56I mean I know people who go in there. They have great public display
- 4:58and stuff. So, but do y'all for you that might be listening.
- 5:00Publics is a grocery store because sometimes you have to remember we go out worldwide.
- 5:06They might not have This is not a national everywhere, I don't think
- 5:14right now, because you go up nor Giant Eagle, you go a lot
- 5:17of places, just a bunch of grocery store change. I always felt like
- 5:21it's just Public's under a different name. We're all by the same by the
- 5:27thing two or three people, they just have the sense of naming them something
- 5:30else in the region. But because Jack in the Box and Harty seem like
- 5:36they're on the same cars. Yeah, but Greg bought flowers but Kenny gave
- 5:45a fist bump and the bad producer did who Nathan was that Samuel L's character
- 5:56and Jangle might have been who is that giving them flowers? But Valentine's Day
- 6:10which followed up the super Bowl, which followed up New Year, I mean
- 6:15that's three holidays because super Bowl has become a holiday. It is. It
- 6:21is. That's why I said it is the winner. Fourth of July.
- 6:25It is when you talk about records as far as you know, becoming the
- 6:29second most food consuming we already know with the alcohol. I'm quite sure if
- 6:33you go into the marijuana industry and those kind of things, well, I'm
- 6:41saying speaking as the things that go up in a certain season, that might
- 6:46be this was one of those. That's what the you know, the fourth
- 6:48of July brings that super Bowl kind of brings that same you know environment,
- 6:55except you're watching a game instead of fireworks, right sense. So, but
- 7:00the super Bowl went on record as the most watched super Bowl. Sure performance
- 7:05most This is what happens when you sell something. Stop making it seem like
- 7:11it's just a particular The NFL is doing a worldwide job of marketing its brand,
- 7:17and it's showing that people are tuning in. They've they've expanded games to
- 7:24Mexico, They've expanded games to Germany, They've expanded in London. Next year
- 7:29they're going to Brazil and Ghana, aren't they. They're going to Spain the
- 7:33year after that. Yeah, they're going to So these numbers aren't just because
- 7:36they said Usher was going to be on there. Sure that helps a worldwide
- 7:42ticket. I put him on there too, Running back next year, running
- 7:46bike, right, you do another set? Yeah, come out with you.
- 7:54Yeah, I'm one of them kind of people. Man, it worked
- 7:56last you know, it was work, work, working to it phase,
- 7:59just keeping me back. And this is why the artist does not get paid
- 8:03to do the halftime show because of the It's like you get paid in the
- 8:07exposure. The sales go up, the ticket sales, the album sales,
- 8:11all that goes up, so they that heat. So I think Usher may
- 8:18have made at least fifty million dollars just off the halftime because he brilliantly dropped
- 8:24an album right after his performance, like Okay, that's my time about the
- 8:28world to the A and you can get my out on Spotify it right now,
- 8:35And all it was was remastered remastered. It was fourteen songs remaster remastered,
- 8:41and you know what, I don't know hell hold makes Yes, I'm
- 8:43not saying I don't know what usher heads on out. That's how that's how
- 8:48we have done it. And I was decided that you can put it remastered
- 8:54CD out. Yeah. Well, I mean you got mixed out these days,
- 8:58and all that is is you turn the volume up or down a little
- 9:03bit and then they hit you with the same twelve ninety nine. But he
- 9:07did. He does have a new album and it's a couple of good new
- 9:09songs on. There's one good song though song there's this charting real well form
- 9:13good good good good with the Walker somea Walker and yeah, okay, good
- 9:20good. I'm I've never really been a fan of the older artist stuff much.
- 9:31I'm still more of the first, first version of them, right,
- 9:37you're not into their new stuff. I've never been pulled, you know,
- 9:39into the newer stuff when they be dropping new stuff. No knock against them,
- 9:43but I'm still somebody says, you know, Maxwell got a new album,
- 9:48and you're like, who yeh pulled me in as much as and I
- 9:54think sometimes just like music life jokes, anything you do as you grow up,
- 10:01you get past those things, so your story becomes something a little less
- 10:09because you know your love. The impact of how love might hit you is
- 10:13different. Yeah, when you're twenty two year old heartbreak right and fifty one
- 10:18year old heartbreak? Twenty two year old heartbreak was playing songs and drinking in
- 10:22the dark by yourself, and this heartbreak, Now, what's the old girl
- 10:28number? Man? My wife left me? I wonder what old girl doing
- 10:35this evening? And that's life experience, what will change? I watched something
- 10:41that was highly touted on social media and online was a Scarface, a legendary
- 10:48rap artist did a tiny desk concert for National Public Radio, and even during
- 10:56one of his songs, he said that didn't aid twelve like just him during
- 11:01the doing the lyrics that he wrote made him kind of cringe because of where
- 11:07he was at that time wasn't where he is today. That's why a lot
- 11:09of hip hop artists, it's hard on them to tell the story of something
- 11:15on that fifth four to fifth album of what it is if they can't creatively
- 11:22tell spend how now I'm living this life right because the first was about something
- 11:28else right and all day Trap, all night Trap, all day and now
- 11:31I got six kids, you know, and I'm saying I'm doing family movies
- 11:35now. So it's hard. It's hard to you know, it's hard to
- 11:41say, see the oppos in the carpool lane. It's not the same.
- 11:46Unfortunately, we got some sad news the report coming out of Kansas City.
- 11:50That's why I was trying to keep this first segment like, because tragedy in

- 15:09a price you can afford. No, no, no, no, Now
- 15:13it's time to present the Jock of the Day on The Sports Jock Show has
- 15:16taken it to a completely different level this year where we highlight an appolete that
- 15:22has taken their game to the next level. What the sport Shock show on
- 15:48the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. As we went to break, we got a
- 15:54question from our man Donnie Brown about the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl fifty
- 16:00nine will be in New Orleans next year. Party City Gumbo everywhere a similar
- 16:07a smaller version and a lot of aspects as a Las Vegas. Uh.
- 16:14The New Orleans area has always been known for its great time. Fat Tuesday
- 16:19has passed us a couple of days ago. What kind of show they would
- 16:26be able to put on if they went into the New Orleans area based on
- 16:32using the talent out of there now, the biggest is for his name recognition
- 16:40for most people into modern days society would be someone like al Wayne. Could
- 16:45lol Wayne pull off a show like this. I think he could. He
- 16:49could very well, like a doctor Dre did out in LA if he would
- 16:56allow the stage to come with some of the member that he started with from
- 17:00a group called Cash Money. Even maybe some kind of way of letting Master
- 17:07P get involved on a song. Oh yeah, some kind of way.
- 17:15If that's the way that the NFL. I feel like we need to break
- 17:22that and stop that now. And whoever is performing is performing right right,
- 17:27Whoever is hot, whoever is a performer, is a performer, and just
- 17:33let it be that everybody seems to be on this. No, you need
- 17:37to get the talent, but if the talent doesn't fits your situation in these
- 17:45some of these cases, especially how society is today with you've got to check
- 17:48so many boxes. And some of the people that the Wayne might have connections
- 17:55to, even himself as an artist, people have gone back through their catalog
- 18:00and pulled out the big point finger about different lyrics that were said, different
- 18:07actions that had been done, uh, different crimes that'd be got, you
- 18:12know, whereas it would be great to move over to the side and let
- 18:17mystical come out if I'm a little Wayne, But mister Cole has been sent
- 18:22to jail for a crime that people don't really give in this country. So
- 18:27I can't and I hope I'm perfect sense it makes sense. I mean because
- 18:33someone a lot of people woul suggest for years, someone like Chris Brown,
- 18:37Like I don't know if if Chris Brown will be someone He has the catalog,
- 18:45but I don't know if it'll be someone that, uh, the NFL
- 18:48would want to bring in because they look into They do look into all those
- 18:52things. They look into what you've done, you know, off the stage,
- 18:56and they look in they look into all the lyrics of your hit songs,
- 19:00like if because the halftime show is going to be the hit songs,
- 19:04So if it's something that is on the line of being inappropriate, they might
- 19:10scratch, like with Doctor Dre that had Kendrick Lamar removed the line about police
- 19:15and We're gonna be all right. I do think though, sometimes with that
- 19:21scrutiny of looking into That's why I'm saying a cash Monty Lil Wayne has the
- 19:27catalog, but his public image, his lyrics may strain the embracing of the
- 19:36public at large in allowing him to do something like that. There may be
- 19:41people who are with the NFL that are fans of his music, but to
- 19:45be able to sell that to whomever sponsoring the halftime show, say Pepsis,
- 19:49it's going to be difficult. Well, I'm with sports Zaka. I think
- 19:53we need to stop it right now because thing's gonna turn into a situation like
- 19:57right now are we talking about We're not even really talking about all the genres
- 20:02music. There's artists out there. There's some country music artists that has a
- 20:04great shows and great performances. Pop stars that could possibly feel this, I
- 20:11mean don't necessarily have to be a rap or hip hop. I mean,
- 20:17I look at they might bring Taylor Swift to perform next year. You never
- 20:21know. At this point, she drew that many people in to want to
- 20:25see what much better way for the NFL to jump in bed possibly with her
- 20:30to do that situation. But again, you say country music, and I'm
- 20:34not lodging any accusations at country music, but even in rap, if there's
- 20:41any breakout star, if there's a major artist from that genre that does something
- 20:47that is deemed inappropriate and unforgivable by the public at large, it will affect
- 20:52them choosing people from that genre. Ah, I don't want to, you
- 20:56know, the political stuff. It's too They had the little dust up about
- 21:02like he said, it would be great Mystical could do a halftime show based
- 21:04on his hits. He's got hits that are lyric friendly and all of that
- 21:11and sold millions of copies, but his off the stage resume would never allow
- 21:17it. Well, I wonder out there listening land, Who would you like
- 21:19to see perform next year? If you could put somebody on the stage,
- 21:25Big Kenny right just right off the cuff, who would you like to see?
- 21:30Uh? I would like to see for a super Bowl halftime show.
- 21:41I'd have to think about that, Sports Jack. I don't have an artist
- 21:45right at the top of my head that Red Hot Chili Peppers Okay bad producer
- 21:49with the Red Hot comanchi Drake Okay, I wrote down Bruno Mars for myself.
- 22:03He he done, and he did a wonderful job. We might be
- 22:07at a point where the one in the one in New York, that's the
- 22:11one he did. But we might be at a point where you're gonna have
- 22:15to bring some of these people back because if you're still going off like in
- 22:18the world now. I can't remember him, Yeah, I don't remember him,
- 22:22And I'm saying, did Bieber do one? Did justin Bieber? He's
- 22:29got the catalog, he's got the Biber can do one I think he would
- 22:33do? And then he's got the uh, the connections to all of his
- 22:37collaborations. He could bring out everybody from hip hop, two country music during
- 22:42a Super Bowl halftime show and Bruno Mars did which year because it was one
- 22:48of the best. It was the one that was in New York. Okay,
- 22:51yeah, and it was one of the best. I know that one
- 22:53and someone else that could have a great shot is a DJ callit yeah,
- 23:00because that's kind of how his is just a revolving circus of artists. It's
- 23:07not necessarily him as much as it is everybody. He's yeah, he's gonna
- 23:11bring this person on this song, this person on this song. We're the
- 23:15best. We're the best. That's all he's going to say. The whole
- 23:18town and his collaborations are international. And that's the key to everybody coming out.
- 23:22When I say we the best, that means the next artist just start
- 23:26coming on. DJ callip Miami Mixable Bowl in Miami. We well, we
- 23:32just talked about you just said you wanted to break the cycle. He did
- 23:36say he wanted to break He said he agreed. I want to talking about
- 23:37breaking the cycle on this hip hop. I thought that's what you would mean
- 23:41to you. Okay, we're just going you know what I'm saying, I
- 23:45might incriminate myself if I get into his case, if I get involved in
- 23:48his case, then they might want to investigate me, So just leave it
- 23:52alone. Ask you for your filleral. Okay, you say he couldn't have
- 23:57done that? How you know so much? Yeah, because I didn't remember
- 24:02us even getting on hip hop because us you had nothing to do with hip
- 24:07hop, did it? So? I was not talking about I was talking
- 24:11about where the city had to provide the artists, right, what the what
- 24:15the one with Doctor Drake, that was the first time where it really like
- 24:18somebody local. When it was here in Atlanta, they had everybody. That's
- 24:26when everybody kept saying they needed to have somebody who performed here in Atlanta.
- 24:33Remember the whole thing going into that was everybody was getting when they were down
- 24:37in Miami. The last time it was the same, y'all forget the pressure,
- 24:42you forget who was who ended up on the stage. The sentiment going
- 24:47into it was how you're going to have a halftime show and not let someone
- 24:52from the city perform. And in the one moment, that's how we got
- 24:56around. That's how we got around to Doctor Dre And we had outcasts of
- 25:00Sleepy Brown here in Atlanta. During Maroon five's performance, they bought out outcasts
- 25:07with Stable Brown, Big Well big Boy Sleepy Brown. We'll be back more
- 25:11to Sports Shock Show right after that, John't Bowl, Wayne Or of the
- 25:18Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dandridius coming up next. Attention homeowners, Now is

- 28:49man, what's the air I'm saying? Hold on, no, don't play
- 28:56it. Why does this dude always like to just kill your joy? Yeah,
- 29:00to kill joy? Did you see everybody on board? Everybody trying to
- 29:03get some super dubal fly drop some lose control and he want to bring in
- 29:10his words, could even get me some music? Can Can I make a
- 29:15suggestion? Cut his mic and cut on that, mister Elliott, that was
- 29:22my suggestion. Cut him off. Cut that said let me get that.
- 29:32Yeah, miss you could do it. And she doesn't need Sierra to come
- 29:36on. How about that welcome back to the show. She doesn't need Sierra
- 29:49to come on, she doesn't need She made this dude right here. Kill
- 29:57Joy might have to say that I have to be his new name because he
- 30:02is a keel to the joy. Oh I love it, little Joy,
- 30:06So stop laughing into the mic. Oh fun, Because he said, because
- 30:15you mentioned her name, like Sierra made Missy right that song? When you
- 30:19start doing that, I was. I just started then, y'all. Everybody,
- 30:22you weren't doing nothing, was just sitting there still, y'all did y'all?
- 30:26My part was like what she says, say something on the mic,
- 30:27like somebody in the corner always got something to say. And just to be
- 30:32clear, we're talking about no, no, no, no, it's taken
- 30:33to the vortex. Let's move on. Sad news out of Kansas city right
- 30:41now, law enforcements still no answers and no motives behind uh. This tragedy
- 30:48that seems to be having its little trend. We saw this in twenty thirteen
- 30:56at the Boston Marathon. We've seen different sporting events even since then, regardless
- 31:03of whether tragedy, gunfire bombs go off, We've seen people decide that they're
- 31:10going to interrupt the sport itself celebrations. They're going to chain themselves to the
- 31:18tennis net, they're going to glue themselves to the basketball floor. They're going
- 31:25to find some kind of way. They're going to kill the trees in Auburn.
- 31:32We have decided that there's almost like an attack on sports. Sport has
- 31:37become as comanchie Greg was mentioning Super Bowl the most watched super Bowl, most
- 31:42watched program on TV. Ever, sports has become the juggernaut of our society.
- 31:51People place themselves at sporting events just to enhance their image. That's where
- 32:00their PR people are sending them, That's where their A and R people.
- 32:04Hey go sit down, We're gonna get you next to Spike Lee at the
- 32:08Lebron James game and put the camera on you and see if that can get
- 32:15you more likes, more sales. We see that this year in the NFL
- 32:20with Taylor Swift. It was like a movement. Is it such a movement?
- 32:24It needs to be Time Magazine's Movement of the Year. Man. That's
- 32:30how they need to actually put it on there. Don't just put it like
- 32:34Taylor Swift. Need to be the movement of out the NFL. And Taylor
- 32:38blended to create this cyclone that just swept the country. She was on screen
- 32:45for fifty four seconds during the game. Yeah, so it doesn't take much.
- 32:52So yesterday, at the end of the Kansas City Super Bowl celebration,
- 33:00people injured. One person passed away the mass shooting outside of Union Station near
- 33:12the end fans were leaving the parade. More than eighty law enforcement officers were
- 33:19on duty in the area. Nearly a million parade goals were there as well,
- 33:28so basically that would be everybody in the city of Kansas City there standing.
- 33:36They have detained three suspects. At least one firearm was recovered, so
- 33:44we had a half there. As we always say here, let this hopefully
- 33:46by next show we have more information. But this is the same we seem
- 33:52to have to always living these moments in this country where people have decided and
- 33:59the mind they're going to get their pound of flesh. They're going to interrupt
- 34:05things that they know people are enjoying and going to with a lightheartedness. We
- 34:16say parade. Most people go in in a very lax way. Yes,
- 34:22I think it was last year. And was it in Illinois? Illinois?
- 34:25Yes, for there was the bombing as well. Now a gentleman on a
- 34:30roof with a or something that was in California earlier and later last year.
- 34:37But the one in Illinois young man in the twenties. Yeah, from a
- 34:42rooftop shot. But there was one where somebody drove a car. Yes,
- 34:45that was in California. That was in Wisconsin. Was it was a parade
- 34:49when it drove the car. It was Wisconsin, I'm sorry. Yeah,
- 34:52that was about two or three years ago. And then you had to shoot
- 34:54in the Denver last year at the NBA at the Denvers into their own parade
- 35:00last year. So so it's a thing of when these people get these ideas
- 35:05in their head. And I know this, there's a lot of law enforcement
- 35:08there, but how we have our law enforcement now it's more as a symbol
- 35:14than it is for the law enforcement to really be I guess I would be
- 35:20profiling. And there was a time where I'm I want you to go out
- 35:23there and I want you to really be looking examining people right right, And
- 35:28now it has become just I just want you to stand there. So now
- 35:31the person who's coming to do something doesn't feel as fearful and not going to
- 35:37be caught. I wanted to ask, do you think that what happened?
- 35:40And I'm not pointing any fingers at anybody. God bless all of the people,
- 35:44and I pray that everything works out in Kansas City. But we see
- 35:47events like in New York City with the New Year's Eve celebration. I'm sure
- 35:53it has a million or more people present. They set up metal to they
- 36:00have barriers surrounding Times Square, they're checking bags there are are we so concerned
- 36:08about our civil liberties that we're making ourselves soft targets? Because I'm imagining that
- 36:15the NFL itself could be willing to help some of those costs of securing these
- 36:22events. We're the NFL champions. So Kansas City and the NFL combined to
- 36:27set up a task force and a celebration zone are we looking at a time
- 36:30when only the people who play and their invitrale we're ran. We don't know
- 36:35whether the Kansas City and the state of Missouri didn't have these things in place,
- 36:39true, because they did have barriers. Yeah, we don't know that
- 36:43they didn't have these things in place, and in any situation, the three
- 36:49suspects didn't. You know, there's no report that any of them killed themselves,
- 36:53right or was killed. But a lot of times I think people go
- 36:58on these things being okay, being killed with being killed, and that's a
- 37:02harder target to stop. To stop. You can't stop somebody that's already planning
- 37:07on being stopped. Correct. I was expecting for you when I shot this
- 37:13gun that someone was gonna shoot me. Right, So I'm gonna just until
- 37:17they come. I'm gonna just as much havoc as I can. So in
- 37:22these celebrations, I would be wrong just to say, oh, these things
- 37:27were not in place. It's just the mindset, and like you're saying with
- 37:32New York, it could have been in play and whoever decided not to.
- 37:37You know, it's not like it's a lot of things that don't happen that
- 37:42we just don't see and get reported. But sad news. About eight or
- 37:46nine of these people that were shot were kids. That correct. I think
- 37:52the one fatality was a middle age mom. Yeah, she was a TV
- 38:00show host, radio disc jockey go by the name of Lisa Ga and she
- 38:04had a TV show that she worked on and kids and Donnie. It's just
- 38:09shared with us that it's reported that eight hundred police officers were on the scene,
- 38:14six hundred who actually are from Kansas City PD. SO. And then
- 38:20yesterday there was an incident in d C where policemen got shot. And then
- 38:24four students here in Atlanta at Mays High School were shot in the school parking
- 38:30lot. And we are seeing this yet again every day because the day before
- 38:37that, another school here in Atlanta had a shooting on the parking at the
- 38:42parking lot on the school ground. So I don't know exactly what the catalyst
- 38:47is for the emergence of gun violence, but it is definitely an uptick.
- 38:57Yeah, it seems to be. As we've talked to before, we know
- 39:01that the bad producers four guns. I think the three of us were more
- 39:07of less figure out a way. I'm big, I'm big on the restrictions.
- 39:15I'm big on the fines. I'm big on letting you know I'm okay
- 39:22with the twenty five year minimum. I think you have to when you want
- 39:28to fix something, you have to fix it. And a lot of times
- 39:32that's going almost the complete opposite way that is going to be handled. It
- 39:40has to be so annoying, such a drastic for someone like the bad producer
- 39:46that every year each gun, on every particular day he has to go register.
- 39:52He wants to take all twenty down there, but no, this can
- 39:54only be done on this day, our June thir the seventh. Correct that
- 40:01way, and now I need a bullet count. It says you bought one
- 40:05hundred bullets and I need everything. I want to make it so bad that
- 40:08he goes from twenty guns to nineteen, because each time I can get him
- 40:14to decide, one less gun means that it's one less possibility. We'll be
- 40:22back more to the Sports Jock Show right after this. Don't Boy, Wayne

- 43:29the ad Council. And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gay,
- 43:45it's win lock as you can see a sports I ain't all sing Welcome back
- 44:04to the show. And that's what shuck wing Candy. Tonight there may be
- 44:09a record broke in Caitlyn Clark out of Iowa. The superstar that she has
- 44:16become on the college level. We'll be trying to break the record of Kelsey
- 44:24Plum. She needs eight points to pass this record, which how Caitlyn Cark
- 44:34plays could be three shots and the record could be broken. If you haven't
- 44:40seen this young lady play, her game is really comparable to the idea of
- 44:49Steph Curry. And I'm not saying that in any disrespect to Steph Curry,
- 44:53but it's the way in which he plays, where you never know when the
- 45:00SHOT's going to go up, and as much as you want to believe it's
- 45:06out of the range, it's not. Nobody ever hit that it's not out
- 45:10of range. And I was and the defender was right there. It was
- 45:15lucky. It was like she would never do it again. But she is
- 45:19going for the record for ale. She has brought an excitement over the last
- 45:24two years to college basketball in a way that very few have with her game
- 45:35record sales as far as attendance record sales, as far as prices when she
- 45:40enters an arena really something to see. But tonight she only needs eight points
- 45:47to break that record. I said in a lightweight commands. She big Kenny,
- 45:53bad producer because she averages like thirty one points a game. I don't
- 45:59think maybe two games this year she scored under thirty. She has something going
- 46:04on like that, some kind of record going on. I think that she
- 46:07was one and that she was under thirty, she still had a triple double,
- 46:09so right, and that Iowa would be with her. IOW would be
- 46:16the far favorite to win the n C Double A title if Iowa had a
- 46:22center or a big guy. That that's their only weakness. I've watched them
- 46:25play two or three times. Uh. They basically are playing with four guards
- 46:30and a small forward. So any team they come against like an LSU or
- 46:36even kill them inside and it's hard for them to stop. And that's what
- 46:43LSU's advantage was when they played was give it to me and this little girl
- 46:47here and go be able to do nothing with this. They try to speed
- 46:50the game up, score a lot of points. Their big weaknesses they have
- 46:53one you know which for college basketball, uh, women's college basketball. I
- 47:01think their centers like maybe six one six' two. That's it. That's
- 47:07all the sides they have everything else is more in the five ten and down.
- 47:13But she can score a great record to break. As I was informing
- 47:17the bad Producer, it's in the framework of her four years. So this
- 47:21is not she did it, and she's actually on schedule to do it in
- 47:24seven eight less games than Kelsey Plum, the great Kelsey Plum, who just
- 47:30won the WNBA title with the Vegas Aces. But that is tonight. Who
- 47:37are they playing Comanche Borts record? I just saw their schedule. I think
- 47:44it was Michigan. Who Yes, Michigan, Okay, floor Steat's going for
- 47:50a lot of money when you talk about already Michigan. Did you hear that
- 47:55where her coach is on subscrutiny from the loss the other night for screaming at
- 48:00while Nebraska was doing their press conference. She was screaming at the Nebraska team.
- 48:07Apparently it was a hot mic after they lost. They were in Nebraska.
- 48:10She was screaming that it's not fair, it's not the big ten way
- 48:14we're supposed to go, and then she started screaming, holling they and they
- 48:17were playing music while we were shooting free throws. Apparently the press conference is
- 48:22the wait team, which I don't. I'm not familiar with because it can
- 48:27vary. But the wait team supposed to do the first presser and then they
- 48:32then after that the home team, apparently Nebraska went first. She was screaming,
- 48:37hollering, Hey, we got a flight to catch, We're supposed to
- 48:38go now, and everybody was saying that there was she was acting like that
- 48:43because of the loss and hollering and screaming and hollering, and then she started
- 48:46hollering about the playing the music during the free throws. So that's how that
- 48:51scrutiny of coach being upset after a loss. Well, it was a hot
- 48:53but I'm saying, all of a sudden, right right now, you got
- 48:57the hottest player, one of the hottest players. So everything you're doing is
- 49:00like, even you as the coach, you just have to be careful,
- 49:02right And for someone to have a mic on in the middle of this,
- 49:07no, I'm asking you, since you have a little more information on it,
- 49:10what out of character of a losing coach did she display doing the press
- 49:19conference over another team that was a presser. She shouldn't have been hollering and
- 49:22screaming. If if you're right here in the press conference, right there and
- 49:27they've already on the stage their coach to them, Why would you start hollering
- 49:30inside the press room that it's not fair we should be going now. Oh
- 49:36so you splitting hairs that losing coaches. She should have went outside by the
- 49:43dumpster. I don't know where she's I mean, if they're not a decorum
- 49:47with coaches. I know they asked a great deal of the athlete to maintain
- 49:53their composure. I know that nearly a week after the Super Bowl who asked?
- 49:59Who asked that? I'm saying, well, a media coverage there has
- 50:02been a great deal made about Travis Kelcey screaming at any reader Bowl es.
- 50:12Yesterday he released some sort of statement. It's and here's the thing, as
- 50:15I keep telling people, that's you sitting in your cubicle having a belief that
- 50:24this thing is always going to be stifled. You're asking me to be emotional
- 50:34on the edge, but then never react to the emotion. We've all good
- 50:37athletes, people that we have made bronze statues, have had moments where you
- 50:42yell. Travis Kelsey is not the only superstar that's ever gotten in the face
- 50:49of his coach. So there is no sensibility other than people that are not
- 50:57doing it want it to be a sensible thing that there is no yelling,
- 51:01there is no fighting, there is no where. What world are y'all living
- 51:06in where these things don't happen. We've all punched and kicked friends, people
- 51:15that we have have loved and taken care of on a field. So I
- 51:21don't get what y'all are just trying to find something on the Iowa coach because
- 51:25she's upset. And then Travis Kelsey and running into Andy Reid is why they
- 51:32have three super Bowls? That's what you're looking for? And then he was
- 51:40mad enough to apologize, was he not? Yeah? Okay, Andy mad?
- 51:45And they went the in and out burger right or something. They got
- 51:52burger somewhere. Everything was worked out. Yeah. And all I'm saying is
- 51:58when athlete display some of that same fire, they shouldn't be trying to place
- 52:02it at the feet of the organization or the institution on some why didn't you
- 52:07do something? The truth of the matter is sometimes people get emotional. We'll
- 52:12be back more to Sports Jock Show right after this. Rulers one full brings

- 55:17Spotify, Amazon podcast, Audible, Deezer, or iHeartRadio after the show and
- 55:25catch us. Maybe, guys, I have to ask it to the three
- 55:29of you, why do society thinks athletes, coaches, people that are in
- 55:35this business never have flare ups. And now this is just my personal opinion.
- 55:45One of our listeners, Kubasa Hawthorne, said that good morning. Remember
- 55:49spree Whale. He was emotional and you see where he is. And sometimes
- 55:53I think what happens is there's a there's a disconnect in the average cubicle watching
- 56:05sports fan and what it is. Sports has been selling us. Sports has
- 56:08been selling us sportsmanship, a good conduct, it's your pride, your Has
- 56:15sports been selling that or has society been telling sports this is what they want
- 56:20to see. Well, I'm saying, maybe it's a twofer. Maybe society
- 56:23we want to see that. Well I'm saying, but at the end of
- 56:28the day, we got a rooster. And that's what I'm saying. The
- 56:31rooster is here in the room with us. How it got here it's chronology
- 56:37and all of the biology that goes into it. I don't know. I
- 56:39just know that sports is predicated on good sportsman, show, being honest.
- 56:45Winners don't cheat, you just don't win. No, that's something you read
- 56:49in a textbook. No. No, that's something that you see and hear
- 56:52throughout all of the sports. What what what sports You've heard somebody said they
- 56:57don't cheat. No, I ain't saying they don't cheat. But I'm gonna
- 56:59I'm a piggyback with Kenny. The sportsmanship part of it is, No,
- 57:02he said good sportsmanship. Good sportsmanship is talked. Did you supposed to have
- 57:06a good sportsmen? No? Good? I don't have to help you off
- 57:07the ground. But what okay, what we're saying here, that's good sportsmanship.
- 57:12I get every Hawk game, I get mad because they helped somebody that
- 57:15they just filed off the guy I used to get fined for that. Yeah.
- 57:20I was just saying that coaches would find their own players for helping them
- 57:23team. But sportsmanship, sportsmanship is that I didn't step on you, and
- 57:28those are some of the things you Okay, now I'm saying this. Trey
- 57:31Young just got fined thirty five thousand dollars. I believe it was because the
- 57:36other day in the game, or maybe been last night, in a game
- 57:38against the Bulls, they called a tech on him, uh, and he
- 57:43raised his hands in the Johnny Manziel money sign sort of to suggest that the
- 57:47ref had been paid off to help the Bulls win. They find him thirty
- 57:52five thousand dollars because that was quote unquote inappropriate, unprofessional in that arena.
- 57:58Now, to me, he was just being emotional, he was just being
- 58:01salacious. But the NBA, the governing body that runs that sport, says
- 58:07that, no, you got to be nicer than that, and so they're
- 58:12trying to I just told you couldn't do the money sign. I'm so that
- 58:17goes back to behave and I didn't. You couldn't be mad or stare at
- 58:22him or even go over there and tell him what issue you had. But
- 58:24see, I think I said you can't show him up. Well let's well,
- 58:29I'm saying, well, well screaming and fighting me doing this and me
- 58:36walking over and telling you I think that's a bad call. It's two different
- 58:39and asked to that confusion. That's what I'm saying. You're saying on one
- 58:45hand, that I can get emotional enough and that I can be Draymond Green
- 58:50and turn around and punch of dude and people go, oh man, that
- 58:52happened all the time. But then I embarrass a referee. And now that's
- 58:57gonna cost me money. You can't do that. That's gonna cost you can't
- 59:00embarrass the rest. You can't even criticize him, but I can punch you,
- 59:04no, because but I can get in your face. There will be
- 59:07times. You know why, it's it by law because that means sometimes it's
- 59:10going to be broken. Yeah, I get that, and that's what because
- 59:14you are made of you are a human. And that's my point that as
- 59:19human beings, they sell us one knowing Yeah, well can I when I
- 59:24want to say and just back. It starts at an early age, like
- 59:29we can the sportsmanship. It starts from coming on the line and if you
- 59:32play little league baseball, to say the pledge, getting in line after the
- 59:37game and shake hands. You don't see that on the professional level, but
- 59:42college and high school on down, they shake hands. That's that's mandatory.
- 59:45We see it now. I'm seeing it now he's an official. Kids don't
- 59:49even want to shake hands with other kids after they lose. Now that's poor
- 59:52sportsmanship. But that's not sportsmanship. But all that's not no sport. I
- 59:55mean, we just want to see sportsmanship, whether it's good or bad.
- 59:59Have some kind of sportsmanship about yourself. And I'm saying, if we're not
- 1:00:02going to care about sportsmanship, then let's stop acting like we care about sports.
- 1:00:08You be on the flow punching people. I'm I think it still happens
- 1:00:15on the pro level, just not any inofficial. It's not like a handshake
- 1:00:19line. But you see guys shake hands. The coaches always shake hands NBA.
- 1:00:23I'm saying, I'm saying, let's make sure we got like let's let's
- 1:00:29make sure we got this right. In high school, little league, and
- 1:00:32in college, the coach typically demands this is how we start the game and
- 1:00:39ended in the pros. We don't have to talk to you. I don't
- 1:00:45have to come across the field and shake your hand. There is no bad
- 1:00:51law that says I have to get in a line and shake your hand.
- 1:01:00When Michael Jordan or Isaiah Thomas or whoever those people were back in the they
- 1:01:04walked off the court, it wasn't because you ain't coach shake their hands,
- 1:01:07but then you walked off the court before the game was over. Those are
- 1:01:10two different things. If you don't want to shake my hand, you don't
- 1:01:13have to come shake my hand. We ain't in college, Coach Smith,
- 1:01:17coach Dean Smith, ain't over here. Demand adn't gonna make me run tomorrow.
- 1:01:22I went to the locker room. Now, I can't leave the floor
- 1:01:25with two minutes on the clock. That's bad sportsmanship. But I don't have
- 1:01:31to walk over there and shake your hand. That is amateur sports. Now
- 1:01:37I'm talking about as we talk about conduct. If players and coaches can scream
- 1:01:43and get emotional, but then a Lebron James will get a fan kicked out
- 1:01:46for screaming and being emotional. He didn't touch him, he didn't throw anything
- 1:01:52at him, He just got on his nerves. Well, I thought this
- 1:01:54was an emotional sport. And that's what I'm saying. There's a cognitive dissonance.
- 1:02:00It's you. It's cool when they do it, it's a problem when
- 1:02:02not do it. You see what I'm saying. And that's where I think
- 1:02:05a lot of fans get confused. Just as well, you're not doing the
- 1:02:07sport. You just came to watch it. So you're not doing what I
- 1:02:12is. So you keep you cool. Well, you're not doing what I'm
- 1:02:15doing. And yeah, yeah, Well if you're back with more than Sports
- 1:02:19Jock Show right after this until the Phlosophy with All One Reason John Boy,
- 1:02:38Wayne Board of The Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dante is coming up next.
- 1:02:44And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three quarters of Americans
- 1:02:49believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine
- 1:02:52percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my
- 1:02:57wife were just getting started with our family and thought we lived for a life
- 1:03:00insurance. What's the last thing on my mind? What about you? Will
- 1:03:02you be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a kid
- 1:03:06in college and bills piling up, I was worried how my family will survive
- 1:03:08without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informants. Information
- 1:03:13gives you power, and life insurance gives your family security no matter what stage
- 1:03:16of life you're in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether
- 1:03:20I leave my family with bills or benefits. The answer is easy. Whether
- 1:03:22you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a little or a lot,
- 1:03:25all you need is the insurance informant to help you build a foundation of security,
- 1:03:30because without you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills.
- 1:03:35Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today benefits or bills?
- 1:03:39Dot Com? That's benefits or bills dot Com? Offcuse en, i't why
- 1:03:51sharers and we hold the world ransom for when you excuse me while I whip
- 1:03:58this out sure broadcasting live and it leta Georgia. This this is the Sports
- 1:04:04Shock Ship with Wayne Dante. You paid me up? Can you put me
- 1:04:14come to come to podcast? Come to podcast. I'm do it. I'm
- 1:04:24gonna go on the way till Vega tell me. Welcome out to Swart Shock
- 1:04:29Show. I'm just sport Shock Wayne Candy, Good morning to you out there
- 1:04:31and listening. Man, glad to be here with you. Uh Big Kenny
- 1:04:36Commanchi Greg Pat producer all in the building today. H I like we got
- 1:04:41some energy on the show talking about sportsmanship and just explaining uh in sportsmanship for
- 1:04:47the pros. We were talking about handshaking when you go out with the coin
- 1:04:50toss. It is customary and sportsmanlike that you're supposed to shake the team hand
- 1:04:58the three people to people whoever you send out there, they're supposed to reach
- 1:05:00over shake the people's hand on the opposing team. That's really the only law
- 1:05:06in the pro level that has to occur. That's why when they go out
- 1:05:12for over time, the two people don't have to shake hands. Half the
- 1:05:16time, they don't even send the people who originally started the game out there.
- 1:05:20Now, can I tell you that I should reached over to shake everybody's
- 1:05:26hand out because sometimes that Baltimore still a rivalry was more a bunch of words.
- 1:05:33I can't say a lot of stair down And we are here to do
- 1:05:40some business today, and I really don't like y'all sportsmanship. You threw it
- 1:05:45out the window. I threw it out. We both understand. We neither
- 1:05:47one of us are mad that we didn't shake each other hand because you see
- 1:05:51it. I can't wait. Yeah, our sportsmanship right now in some rivalry
- 1:05:58is that we aren't fighting out here. So right now we're showing great sportsmanship,
- 1:06:02just letting y'all sity here. And if you do that, dance one
- 1:06:06more time, ray and see And that's my thing sports job. I think
- 1:06:12that sports itself and the marketers of sports have done sports of discservice by trying
- 1:06:17to separate the twoll. We think it's wonderful when an aspiring athlete, that's
- 1:06:26a young athlete is on the field, he scores a touchdown and he does
- 1:06:30the gritty Oh look at the impact of the NFL. But when Louki gets
- 1:06:33in his coach's face and goes, I'm just trying to be great like Travis
- 1:06:36kelce Now everybody's trying to go, oh, Travis kelcey, you were wrong.
- 1:06:41That's sports, and sometimes people will behave that way. Let's just accept
- 1:06:46that. Let's accept that college athletes aren't student athletes anymore. They're college level
- 1:06:53athletes. And a lot of the whitewashing of the reality of sports has confused
- 1:07:00fans like myself. I'm from an era where the defensive lineman might throw a
- 1:07:05little dirt in the offensive lineman face and that was cool. And it has
- 1:07:12to be spun because since very few people have ever done it, do it
- 1:07:18make it? They can only accept it in a gentler way. Yeah,
- 1:07:27as I say, when they do the little camera in the locker room for
- 1:07:30the pregame. The coach is giving you the cameras in the room speech,
- 1:07:38right, they're giving you the I know, I'm miked up. I applaud
- 1:07:44those coaches for being able to control it to that level, right because I
- 1:07:48know what the speeches a lot of the time are, and some of them
- 1:07:55in today's society. Is one person in there getting bullied with a whole bunch
- 1:08:00of choice words for about four minutes, berated and let's go back. But
- 1:08:10I have to because ABC is Sunday three thirty game. Come on, guys,
- 1:08:17just we're right there. A little closer, a little closer, hey,
- 1:08:20just get back on defense. That's the three thirds, that's the I
- 1:08:24don't know those because my time it was a very I'm gonna say it the
- 1:08:28way I said, you had coaches that coach for Meal were Dick for Meal.
- 1:08:33He was not a brute, so his were more like he talked to
- 1:08:42you like he was your dad almost kind of way. You know, you
- 1:08:46had those kind of speechies. Coach Coward he could get it a you know
- 1:08:53some more like my dad. And it's different ways, and it was different
- 1:09:02based on the team. So the guy the way he gave it one year
- 1:09:06and one he would be back to that is two different sets of teams where
- 1:09:12he thinks you are. You know it is where you are. It's not
- 1:09:16the same. But if to the outside, it needs to be sold that
- 1:09:19we're all in here and those same Baltimore guys we work out together in the
- 1:09:25offseason. We might go on trips together. But today you know what it
- 1:09:30is. It's the rivalry out here where gladiators and the rivalry is on.
- 1:09:36Does that do a disservice to coaches? Does that do a disservice to teams?
- 1:09:41When we're in a critical situation. I really want to win this game
- 1:09:45because that means we get into playoffs, that means that we go to divisional
- 1:09:47championship. But you, because you're selling sports, you got the camera in
- 1:09:53here, and I need to tell you that don't be Atlanta and go out
- 1:09:59here and blow this halftime lead. But I can't say that because the camera's
- 1:10:02in here. So I got to play nice with you and maybe whisper that,
- 1:10:05and then I don't feel like I'm being as effective as I could be
- 1:10:09as a coach. Do you think that sports is boxing in teams and players?
- 1:10:15And well, it's it's making athletes and coaches have to act a little
- 1:10:19bit, and to me, that's a bad thing. It's all. That's
- 1:10:24a bad thing when you have to ask. You know, we're gonna find
- 1:10:28out bad producer ran a route and he came back, he came in.
- 1:10:31Let us know, Hey, after that last route, I saw Big Kenny
- 1:10:35grab his hamstring. Okay, well let's run this deep route. Let's see
- 1:10:43right, and people that's watching trying to why would they run that same play
- 1:10:46because he gave him some information that you, for some reason, youse massage
- 1:10:51your hamstring and now we're gonna test it. I need to see maybe maybe
- 1:10:57he was baiting, maybe he could be. Yeah, but we're gonna see
- 1:11:01right now right whether it was you know how like in basketball they said they're
- 1:11:05doing a heat check. Yeah, they'd be on hit two or three shots
- 1:11:09and then they just shoot from anywhere. To see, it's the same thing.
- 1:11:12So when you say sportsmanship outside make it seem like, well, oh
- 1:11:16no, you you shouldn't run that play. He's you see, he's visibly
- 1:11:20hurt, right noot on his leg, kick him in his knee where the
- 1:11:27hurt knee or the one the one he got that big pad on. Oh,
- 1:11:30let's step on that one. And and you see that's what I'm saying.
- 1:11:33I think that those realities just exist and to pretend like they don't is
- 1:11:39disingenuous in sports that they keep selling us the you know, this beef been
- 1:11:45frozen the whole time. You keep me that's just like fresh customer. Now
- 1:11:49this beef and frozen in time you've been open. In the Super Bowl last
- 1:11:54week, I mean the week the week before that, when de Bo played,
- 1:11:57you know, he was guarding that left short. He was trying not
- 1:12:00to fall on it or anything. But in the Super Bowl that he was
- 1:12:02going a little harder. He didn't have that many catchup. He still was
- 1:12:06trying to and you can see him trying to protect himself. But everybody else
- 1:12:09they know that left that left side, so that you're gonna take upon someone's
- 1:12:14weakness. I mean, I don't think that's bad sportsmanship when you do that.
- 1:12:17That's just another part of the rules taking advantage of the game. Well,
- 1:12:20it's bad sportsmanship when they get out of society on that player a lot
- 1:12:25that he would do that to him. If that linebacker went in there and
- 1:12:29hit Debo on that intentionally and got on the mic like, well, why
- 1:12:31are you tackle him like that because he had a hurt shoulder, or you
- 1:12:34shouldn't. People expect that you shouldn't exploit people's weaknesses, and that how society
- 1:12:42works, man, people exploding people weakness. I didn't say they were not
- 1:12:45I was saying we shouldn't do that nobody. And that's what you do,
- 1:12:51and that's what you do in sports as much as you possibly can. But
- 1:12:55in sports they'll call that cheating or you're bad sportsman to take it. You're
- 1:13:00in dangering other players. That's what they That's what they've duck deemed it.
- 1:13:04Now, soul take the press off, even though we'll by twenty, but
- 1:13:10I'm still pressing. You're spoilting that team by they can't get the ball of
- 1:13:15the court, but you're just gonna get it. I'm a guy on offense
- 1:13:16and de Mar Hamlin is out there for Buffalo and I hit him in the
- 1:13:19head. People in our society now will draw and paint a picture as though
- 1:13:25I was wrong. You know, that boy just got back. It's never
- 1:13:30considered that maybe he shouldn't be out on the He did have a choice,
- 1:13:38and I think that that's been pulled back in the larger society, in society
- 1:13:46at large, in my opinion, And there used to be a time when
- 1:13:50playing pickup basketball or football, a little kid would get hit and want to
- 1:13:55cry, and people go, well, you shouldn't be out here, and
- 1:13:58you had to decide to either get up or stop playing. And now it's
- 1:14:01no, you gotta be nicer to the little kid and pull your punches and
- 1:14:06your tackles and all of that. So I even said that last year when
- 1:14:10I was talking about the baseball game. And now the batter gets he has
- 1:14:15the ability to basically walk up there with his whole open side covered with something.
- 1:14:21Yes, yeah, yeah, the elbow, you got the hold on.
- 1:14:25Everything that's exposed to the picture is covered. And I was talking about
- 1:14:29I feel like that's unfair to the picture. Yeah, because now that batter
- 1:14:34gets to go up the back without the fear of being beam really being beamed
- 1:14:39up because with that arm cover, you can't smell that arm half s engin,
- 1:14:43you know, Like, so you took one of my most effective weapons,
- 1:14:46the intimidation that this curve might not curve. Now you up there at
- 1:14:53the batter, you're not worried about it as much. Sure, I'm still
- 1:14:57I'm quite sure it's still a little steam to But with all this padding,
- 1:15:00I've cut off notcent of this sting and hitches used to use that as get
- 1:15:08away from the plate. And now they tell you and now they tell you
- 1:15:11what all that? You give me some more plate they throw inside to push
- 1:15:15you back. Now it's like, no, I can stand right in.
- 1:15:16Yeah, do what you know? They tell them now with all that pad,
- 1:15:20hey stay in there, staying crowd the plate. They stay in there.
- 1:15:25Kid last night he dug his teammates, was like, you will stay,
- 1:15:28We'll be back more. A sports shot show right after this that sort
- 1:15:38she was fends less spotize that salt. She don't go awayne Born of the

- 1:16:10is going on? This has to stop. Let's not forget school sports aren't
- 1:16:15just about winning, and they're definitely not an excuse to take your frustrations out
- 1:16:19on the official or the opponent. They're about teaching lessons like perseverance, respect,
- 1:16:26and empathy so students can learn and grow as people, not just as

- 1:22:38He is famously known for wearing a age with that one. I know,
- 1:22:42I know, And what I'm saying is sometimes with age comes wisdom and maybe
- 1:22:47I can shine a little light on all these people's darkness. But then again,
- 1:22:51maybe he was doing Wednesday Atoms. You see what I'm saying. I've
- 1:22:54lived through, but that's that's the most recent. Yeah, that's what I'm
- 1:22:57saying. I've seen both those arras, the ac DC and the Wednesday Adams
- 1:23:00and Wednesday never wore uh what they would call knickers, which are the shorts
- 1:23:06that go with the sports coach. She never wore that. That was something
- 1:23:11that I believe Eddie Munster wore the outfit some people competing at but that's also
- 1:23:16a dated reference. Then they were talking about the socks, you know,
- 1:23:19he made reference to the socks that he had on. Well, I had
- 1:23:23it all. It's Vegas, so and outfit went along with with Vegas.
- 1:23:30Seven days in Vegas, with partying the way JD might be partying. Usha
- 1:23:34had on a fa like Usha had on a chess plate with fake abs and
- 1:23:40pecks, and everybody man a JD bought some socks. This dude got a
- 1:23:45whole plastic six pack and nobody said a thing. Rumors Brandon Marshall says that
- 1:23:51Kanye West was kicked out of the Super Bowl. Is that any some truth
- 1:23:56to that? Uh, there's, I mean there's I haven't seen any footage.
- 1:24:00I saw a couple of pictures where if that was indeed, Kanye got
- 1:24:04a box or seats in front of Taylor Swift. So she made a call
- 1:24:11to get him kicked out. Okay, well, now I want to ask
- 1:24:15something kicked out of that section because she couldn't have gotten kicked out. Okay,
- 1:24:23now, now that's the part that's the party. I can't believe that.
- 1:24:27I can't believe that you, as a celebrity, are going to get
- 1:24:31I'm not harassing you. But then that would be the police that have to
- 1:24:39come in and arrest him with some sort of evidence that he had actually violated
- 1:24:43that restraining order. For you to say that this guy who paid for his
- 1:24:46section doesn't like me, I want him removed, seems like Kanye got a
- 1:24:53lawsuit against the NFL or lost Vegas, like somebody was being messy. You
- 1:24:58knew that Kanye was getting the week, so you gonna put him near Taylor's
- 1:25:01sweet That doesn't make sense to me either. So well, if there was,
- 1:25:05I don't know how the stadium is would build that, but a lot
- 1:25:09of times stadiums sometimes only have a certain side that's sweets. Yeah, but
- 1:25:15I'm just saying that it would like if that was is that information when you
- 1:25:20buy a ticket for a suite? Well, when I seen Floyd's thing when
- 1:25:25it showed, he said money Mayweather's Promotions purchasing this suite, and when he
- 1:25:30sent the money in for the suite, So whoever, your company or whoever,
- 1:25:33you have to some kind of ways build out or someone someone's name has
- 1:25:38to manage your management team or something. Well. The only reason I didn't
- 1:25:42fully believe it because I don't know that you have the power to put me
- 1:25:45out of a stadium. That's what I'm saying. You can. You can
- 1:25:47create something where maybe the powers that be could maybe move me down or sweet
- 1:25:54or two. But I don't know that she has the power to put another
- 1:25:58mega star that's on her same level on her saying level a liss. She
- 1:26:03wasn't. There was already a Bobby put out. We'll be yeah, we'll
- 1:26:10be back right. How it is, don't bowl away? Or of the

- 1:29:13The Shackster. The big lefcon number thirty two jersey was retired down in Orlando
- 1:29:20with the Magic. We talked about this a couple of weeks ago. Was
- 1:29:26this just marketing by the Magic to retire shacks jersey, especially when you talk
- 1:29:33about he only played there four years, he didn't bring him a championship in
- 1:29:40that four years. He went on to spend most of his career in LA
- 1:29:46where he won two titles, three titles, three titles, and then he
- 1:29:50went to Miami and one one. So those two places I think we all
- 1:29:54agreed could easily put a his jersey up right Orlando And this was the first
- 1:30:02jersey Orlando has ever retired, and they started with Shaq. Shaq was what
- 1:30:09their third year they drafted him. That was their fourth feed No, third,
- 1:30:17fourth, fourth fourth. It was the fourth year of existence when they
- 1:30:20got Shack. I know Nick Anderson was their first. It was their first
- 1:30:26eighty nine, so I know it's no knock against sh Shack is Shack.
- 1:30:31He's one of the greatest top five eight ten players that ever played the game.
- 1:30:38But we were talking about but in our uniform in a short window,
- 1:30:43uh, and was that rightfully deserved? I would have I was thinking maybe
- 1:30:47Dwight Howard at some point would have been the first person as far as longevity
- 1:30:55there because the White was there like eight nine years before they moved him on.
- 1:30:58Right, Yeah, he's there time leading scorer, that kind of thing,
- 1:31:02But that isn't I mean, Shack's a better player than Dwhite. But
- 1:31:04we're just talking about in the time you were in the Magic uniform, what
- 1:31:10you did with Shacks. Jersey now is hanging up and he said he would
- 1:31:14leave TV. I was reading one article if the Magic wanted him to work
- 1:31:18down there, sounds like he's pulling for a GM Do you think do you
- 1:31:26think that's the only position he would take is GM team president. Well,
- 1:31:30I'll see him coaching, So it would be some GM team present owner Yeah,
- 1:31:35that's what I'm saying. I don't I don't think he's saying that in
- 1:31:38a way that I will right right. I was thinking that if not GM,
- 1:31:43maybe you know, pardon owner, just get me in the front office
- 1:31:45somehow. You think sitting on the T and T for these years, just
- 1:31:50sitting, He's like, man, I could put put these players here,
- 1:31:53I could move these pieces. Like you said, he putting it out there.
- 1:31:57You know, he's thinking about leaving TV, so he sat there,
- 1:32:00want to you know, some bank, some movements. Definitely his interest into
- 1:32:05going into that field. Even when you call games, it starts making you
- 1:32:12interested in maybe going into the front office or going in where you might not
- 1:32:16have ever had that feeling. I don't think that everybody, like a Steve
- 1:32:19Kerr left basketball to coach. But you start doing the broadcast and things like
- 1:32:28that. Next thing, you know, yeah, you start seeing excell I
- 1:32:32wonder if I could put this together anything. You know, you're on the
- 1:32:35sidelines. So I don't think everybody some of these you know, Chauncey Billups.
- 1:32:40I don't know Chauncey Billups, but uh he's the head coach of Portland.
- 1:32:43I don't know that he retired to be a coach. Allah like a
- 1:32:47Jason Kidd who retired and went immediately into coaching. Chauncey Billups seemed like maybe
- 1:32:53he just got the coaching itch after doing years of broadcasting game. And that's
- 1:32:59why I wanted it, and that's why I was saying a lot of times.
- 1:33:00When you get that, you see a lot of like these guys.
- 1:33:02We bought Bernie Bigger Staff, We brought him up the death he would go
- 1:33:05back from coaching NBA TV coaching NBA TV. So that transition, like it
- 1:33:12gives you that that powered like you, I can see and make that move
- 1:33:15better than that next guy did. Steph Curry and Sabrina An sq With All
- 1:33:19Start Weekend coming up this week, remember today is the last game before the
- 1:33:27All Star Break. Sunday is the All Star Game. Uh, they are
- 1:33:30going to be in a three point shootout. Ascue will be under the w
- 1:33:36NBA rules, Steph Curry will be under the NBA rules. Really, Sabrina
- 1:33:44An Nescue of the New York Liberty, she has everything the game. When
- 1:33:49you look at this kind of situation as far as marketing and things like that,
- 1:33:55Steph really doesn't have anything to gain When you're already considered the greatest shooter
- 1:34:01ever, you don't really have anything to gain, do you Ah, I'm
- 1:34:11saying like they would go, oh man, he really beat her. You
- 1:34:16know, it's all just exhibition. I don't think he can really go in
- 1:34:20trying to dominate this type of exercise. He's just got to go out there.
- 1:34:27Everybody's enjoying seeing Stephan her shoot around. Yeah, and I just thought
- 1:34:31about it. It's just good play, fun and good too. Because the
- 1:34:36NBA, regardless of how we see it, they're doing and we know that
- 1:34:41they have a lot to do with the w NBA still exists, right and
- 1:34:46they're pulling in any kind of way they can to make sure those w NBA
- 1:34:50players are viewed. Do you'all think the next step will be some kind of
- 1:34:58mixed game, co ed All Star game. Well, I'm not saying it,
- 1:35:04so I'm not saying it couldn't happen. I'm saying that sports right now,
- 1:35:08in my opinion, especially the NBA has got to be careful of a
- 1:35:12jumping the shark exercise, Like there's going to be something that you do to
- 1:35:16make people go, man, y'all, just y'all just floundering. Now you're
- 1:35:20trying anything to get us engaged, and I'm just through with it. I
- 1:35:26mean, we're already struggling to focus because you got the multicolored courts with the
- 1:35:31different colored uniforms in this. If they move back fifty feet, this becomes
- 1:35:36a thirty point shot. But all the leagues are having to do something with
- 1:35:41their All Star Game, and a lot of the All Star Game that technology
- 1:35:47and modernization and all that access has really killed the All Star Game because you
- 1:35:54have the ability to see all that all the time now, right, and
- 1:35:57so let's eliminate that part. So now they're trying to find different ways to
- 1:36:00create and still have the weekend. That's why I mentioned that maybe it will
- 1:36:06have some kind of maybe maybe that's the next but jumping over cars, there's
- 1:36:15the world all but everybody's already looking at it is like a show as comical.
- 1:36:23So if he was to have the guys playing the girls or playing with
- 1:36:26them or get together, I mean I don't think that it would be still
- 1:36:29trying to make it a display of these are the best the best players in
- 1:36:35the league playing in this game, and it's all the events that are they
- 1:36:41feel good about all the events leading up to the game, the All Star
- 1:36:44weekend, as far as the skills combindition, a three point contest, even
- 1:36:47though they're digging in the G League barrel again for the dunk contest. But
- 1:36:54those events are for the most part, they're they're okay with that, but
- 1:36:58they're just trying to make the game, which is anti climactic compared to all
- 1:37:02the other stuff that goes on, still trying to make that an event worth
- 1:37:08watching, right, because what happens to the people that actually want to see
- 1:37:12a competition and that I mean, these are the best players that the league
- 1:37:15has to offer going up against each other, Well, there should be some
- 1:37:17great fireworks, but it's usually vary five that five hundred thousand for the end
- 1:37:23game. They should have offered that in the All Star Tournament instead of the
- 1:37:26end game. Why because because that would have gave us that competition of the
- 1:37:31best of the best. When you got you got the best on the East.
- 1:37:34Because Lebron James and Anthony Davis don't care about the five hundred thousand dollars
- 1:37:41at all. Neither do staff most of them. It was it was Sawyer
- 1:37:45six through thirteen that was ready to cut somebody's arm. I just thought it
- 1:37:51might be interesting an exc throw alley you to Donovan Mitchell something. What else?
- 1:38:00Somebody walks in the exec room right now, we're the people that's supposed
- 1:38:02to save the All Star Game, and they tell us they're keeping this.
- 1:38:06Y'all got to you guys have to come up with something that's the next frontier,
- 1:38:13right, we got to figure out something. We tried the celebrity justin
- 1:38:15Bieber versus Nelly. You know, we've been trying everything else. Let's do
- 1:38:21a throwback game with the dudes who've been retired. They tried the old kind
- 1:38:29of like the ice que thing where they had three old player there's they mix
- 1:38:32in that on the Saturday night stuff. Still like they used to have like
- 1:38:35a Legends game before they started the Rookie Sophomore Challenge. They used to have
- 1:38:41a Legends game where they had like the older players, but they stopped doing
- 1:38:44that because it was it was the older players. And but I'm saying,
- 1:38:47what about the older maybe retired maybe not far out of the league w NBA
- 1:38:55players playing current w NBA players like in a real game, maybe the rookies
- 1:39:02playing the people who have just been out of the league several years so because
- 1:39:10again then a lot of THEIRS is trying to get them to participate, and
- 1:39:14a lot of the w NBA girls they're overseas right now during this time because
- 1:39:17their season is already over, so they would have to make that trip back
- 1:39:20or so. I don't know if Steph is going to have a shootout,
- 1:39:27then to me, you're on the verge of just having a kind of more
- 1:39:30mixed all Star game anyway, and it just my and I'm not It might
- 1:39:35just be three w NBA players added to each team, and this may be
- 1:39:41debate of tests just to see how many people are willing to tune in and
- 1:39:45pay attention. And if they're willing to do it for he and she,
- 1:39:47then yeah, I don't expand it. Yeah, I don't think it will
- 1:39:50hurt at all for how people watching anyway. No, I was just gonna
- 1:39:56say the same thing. People going to tune in to see this because man
- 1:40:00versus woman or however they're building it, but they don't. She's a great
- 1:40:03shooter, so this is you gonna see a She could really shoot. So
- 1:40:06if she beats Steph, don't surprise. Yeah, I would expect both of
- 1:40:13them the best three point shooters in there in their leagues. So and it's
- 1:40:17not like neither one is having to do She's not asked to shoot from where
- 1:40:21Steph is shooting right, and he's not allowed to shoot from where She's gonna
- 1:40:27be comfortable. And we'll be back more to Sports Shop show right after this.

- 1:43:45this time around, the NFL has went on and let the announcement be known.
- 1:43:48Amazon Prime to air an NFL playoff game next season, so you're not
- 1:43:55caught off guard like this year. This year they just sprung it on you
- 1:44:00at the end. If you don't have the peacock. Yeah, and you
- 1:44:03won't get to watch the Dolphins Chiefs game right just out of the blue.
- 1:44:08But at least I can respect this that you gave me time to make a
- 1:44:13decision. Amazon Prime will air a playoff game next season, so you got
- 1:44:19time, Big Kenny. Two weeks before the Combine come Bin NFL Combine up
- 1:44:24in Indianapolis, the Draft Chicago is on the clock. Stre's a lot of
- 1:44:29speculation of what will happen. Will the Bears trade justin fields? The Bears
- 1:44:35have picked one and pick eight I think this year, I know they have
- 1:44:43two top ten picks. It might be even higher that second pick than eight,
- 1:44:47But a big question is what will they do with that. The Stellers
- 1:44:50are interested in Justin Fields. The Stellers are interested in Russell Wilson. So
- 1:44:57are the Atlanta Falcons. Uh interested? But with either one of those quarterbacks
- 1:45:03still on the table, is that you draft a quarterback as well, so
- 1:45:11you never especially if you get Russell Wilson, be a great time if you're
- 1:45:15the Falcons or the Stealers to also take that first round pick and draft who
- 1:45:23you think is the future. If the Stellers don't be Kenny Pickens, is
- 1:45:27it? You know, if we don't get Justin Field, I prefer Kirk
- 1:45:30Cousins over Russell. Okay, why until Kirk got hurt, he was playing
- 1:45:40MVP, and go ahead, he was playing like an MVP man. I
- 1:45:45mean he was doing his thing. Okay. I thought you're gonna say you
- 1:45:48still don't like him on Future's behalf, which is his second reason. I
- 1:45:58would take Russell too, but I mean he's third choice. He's not in
- 1:46:00the top two now, He's just a if all else fail, will take
- 1:46:05Russell. So you'll take just over Kirk Cousins. And you just said Kirk
- 1:46:12Cousins was playing at an MVP level, So which one? I'm taking?
- 1:46:16Justin Field still, So you're gonna take a guy that was not playing at
- 1:46:19an MVP level, a guy that was playing at an MV you want the
- 1:46:26other guy? Now. I'm just making sure I understand, all right,
- 1:46:30your sensibilities that Kirk Cousins, before he got hurt, was playing at an
- 1:46:34MVP level, and you will make him the second choice to a guy that
- 1:46:42a team who drafted him first and Justin Fields no longer wants him, and
- 1:46:46very few people even see why they drafted him. But you still don't want
- 1:46:51to go with the guy that was playing at an MVP level, because I'll
- 1:46:59go away going with Justin Fields. Man, he's younger'n He's ready, He's
- 1:47:05ready. It's time. It's time. Why is it time? It's time
- 1:47:10for the Falcons land. It's our time. We give us a good we
- 1:47:14get Justin Fields. You sound like one of the people that be racist,
- 1:47:17and then when somebody call you on your racism, you try and explain yourself
- 1:47:21without being racist in the moment, but it just sounds even way more racist
- 1:47:26now that you keep going, well, it's time, because you know,
- 1:47:30he's a guy, and I just think he's a better guy because of the
- 1:47:33way that he's the guy. I think he would probably be a better fit
- 1:47:39in Pittsburgh, a place that has a little more tradition, an established head
- 1:47:45coach, in a city that won't feed into any of what he might want
- 1:47:51to do. It's a football city that will keep him focused. I don't
- 1:47:57know that he can handle going from Chicago to it them back to the area
- 1:48:00in which and he's not proven already. You want to be proven when you
- 1:48:05go back home. You don't still want to be searching for yourself when you
- 1:48:12take on a city like this. Yeah, does that I understand if he
- 1:48:18was already the justin fields you thought he would be, and you brought him
- 1:48:23home, that's one thing. But to bring him home to now try to
- 1:48:27hope that you can find him, that's a lot of asking if he was
- 1:48:31even more distracted he But if he was, If he was, that Chicago
- 1:48:35wouldn't even be trying to get thinking about getting rid of him if he was
- 1:48:39doing what you thought he was supposed to be doing him. I'm thinking,
- 1:48:42once he gets here, he's going to be able to do and you and
- 1:48:46you still I guess we're there. Still haven't told me why Because I just
- 1:48:50told you why I don't think he should come here, and you just said
- 1:48:55that Chicago probably wouldn't even be talking about this if he was who I mean
- 1:49:00to the if you looked at his numbers, I bought a stat it was
- 1:49:02like two weeks into left of the season he had just status was just as
- 1:49:05good as I don't know. We're not doing the comparison thing that that on.
- 1:49:11That's that doesn't work. That doesn't work to get ahead in sports.
- 1:49:19That just works to sell TV hours and that's not why the athlete looking over
- 1:49:25at the other guy has nothing to do with you. So I'm saying,
- 1:49:31Justin Field, you want to bring Justin Fields here after four years of not
- 1:49:35finding who Justin feels is, to the city and tell him to save the
- 1:49:39city. And he hasn't even become Justin Fields yet that you want him to
- 1:49:44be. And he's going to develop into that why here? And you're going
- 1:49:50to pay him to develop here because we're gonna because he's black. And I'm
- 1:49:58saying, if it's because he black, say because he's black, I ain't
- 1:50:02got nothing to do with I wouldn't let Serena coach the Falcons because her legs
- 1:50:06stick. That's it. That's it. I know she is a great doesn't
- 1:50:12am I making if Lamar Jackson's, Lamar Jackson's or Mahomes or anybody that has
- 1:50:19established themselves was from Atlanta and you said, okay, I want to bring
- 1:50:24them back, Well, they already who they are. I'm not bringing somebody
- 1:50:29back to figure help them figure out who they want to be, right,
- 1:50:33but to place a franchise on somebody who hasn't figured out who he is.
- 1:50:38He if you go to Pittsburgh. They're not going to be requiring him who
- 1:50:42you think you are to carry the city. So you think we're gonna expect
- 1:50:47Justin to carry the team, when then we got other these other young players,
- 1:50:50Pits and Drake London and all these other young in the defense. I
- 1:50:55mean, well, Atlanta football only holds the quarterback responsible since Matt Ryan was
- 1:51:01drafted in the years of Michael Vick. It was everybody else's fault except Mike
- 1:51:08Vick. It was because we ain't lighting that nobody could catch the ball.
- 1:51:11Sure he did, or maybe maybe maybe Mike didn't throw a good ball at
- 1:51:18that time. M Ever thought that wow, wow, we'll be back with
- 1:51:28more the Sports Jock Show right after this with the room baton over we Share
- 1:51:36and shut it up off my little bit, don't boy, Wayne Board of

- 1:52:24believe that coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine
- 1:52:29percent actually have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my
- 1:52:31wife were just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever life insurance.
- 1:52:35What's the last thing on my mind? What about you? Will you
- 1:52:38be leaving benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a kid in

- 1:53:15That's benefits or bills dot com. And now back to the sports job Wayne
- 1:53:24Gandy. Now it's time for a school board when we put a spin on
- 1:53:30life and sports and how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:53:47Yeah what Temen, how long the time it fits you with Jama Jama
- 1:54:06and I hope you're welcome back to this what shock shaw, I'm this what
- 1:54:15shock wing knd UH in Minnesota, they are going to try to help out
- 1:54:24youth sports and youth games by installing a law based on if you interrupt the
- 1:54:30game. Is that right, Big Kenny. Yes, you can be fined
- 1:54:35up to a thousand dollars and interrupting meaning coming out onto the court or field,
- 1:54:42throwing something onto the court or field, or trying to intimidate or influence
- 1:54:47one of the officials. I think it needs to be higher. I think
- 1:54:51it needs to pass too, and I think it not only need to be
- 1:54:56higher. I think I think it not only needs to be higher, but
- 1:54:59there needs to be an an incarceration element added to it, because you have
- 1:55:02some people who will enter something like that and feel like it was worth it.
- 1:55:08Yeah, I got a thousand, thousand dollars. I got a thousand
- 1:55:11It was worth it to me. It sounds like because you might not when
- 1:55:15I say you a person, Other people might not see it that way.
- 1:55:19But some people, it's just like watching an NFL game, NBA game,
- 1:55:24of Major League Baseball game. Some of those guys have decided because the night
- 1:55:29the game is on prime time, they're gonna break the rule, and it
- 1:55:35was worth the five thousand dollars fine to where the dog tag around my neck
- 1:55:41said so and so on, it made sense. That's really some people.
- 1:55:45I remember the great Aaron Glenn, who's the defensive coordinated for the Lions.
- 1:55:51He didn't like his pass below his knee in his pants, so he cut
- 1:55:57him that way, and he intentionally knew he would set aside what the eight
- 1:56:01or ten or whatever games he wanted to do that would cost him, Like,
- 1:56:04yeah, I know you're gonna find me this fifty thousand dollars, but
- 1:56:09I want to look like this right. Some people function that way. I
- 1:56:14want to scare everybody away. I want to put things. That's why I
- 1:56:16was saying with the gun thing I wanted to be sold, and it's like,
- 1:56:19man there, like do I really need ten guns? Because now I
- 1:56:25would just get it done as you said. Some people would figure I got
- 1:56:28a thousand dollars, but I've personally been in situations where I felt like I
- 1:56:31was struggling to control myself, and I had my friends go with, look,
- 1:56:35if you feel like you just got you, we'll come get you.
- 1:56:40Even got to worry about getting yourself, so you know, take one for
- 1:56:43the team. We can afford it. And there will be people like that
- 1:56:46at these games. A thousand bucks five of us kind of feel like that
- 1:56:51was a bogus call. I got my two hundred on it, and now
- 1:56:55I'm out on the field. So I think there needs to be an incarceration
- 1:56:59element and needs to increase based on certain acts. I'm going to a band,
- 1:57:05I think some stuff. If you come out on this court, yeah,
- 1:57:08coming out is going to be banned from youth sport. Yeah, coming
- 1:57:11out if you throw something out on this court, maybe a fine. Yeah,
- 1:57:15but coming out you actually come and get him. This referee face or
- 1:57:19something like that, the kids face, You're going to be on out of
- 1:57:24you sport and we're prosecuting into a whole nother county. Yeah, it's not
- 1:57:30just your stated, not just you, your kid can't play anymore. Well,
- 1:57:33I like that, I pretty much. I like that that they're they're
- 1:57:36trying to make an example. I know this has been a big push because
- 1:57:43one reason they doing things like this because we're short across the United States of
- 1:57:46America. Referee shortage in all sports. Coming out is unexcusable. Right,
- 1:57:54I can get that you got upset through the Coca Cola, but coming out
- 1:58:00can take us to a whole another level of incident. And now they did
- 1:58:05cite incidents like there have been some referees that even have been followed home because
- 1:58:12of the game that they called and someone wanting to threaten them. So we
- 1:58:16saw last year, a couple of years ago where someone got shot at a
- 1:58:20youth sports league because they got into it in the center of the football field
- 1:58:26and someone had a gun and shot somebody. So again, more penalty,
- 1:58:30more financial obligation, and incarceration should be added to it. There has been
- 1:58:36an arrest for that Jackie Robinson statue stealing forty five year old man. I
- 1:58:42can't yeah know what his name was. They arrested last week for stealing that
- 1:58:47Jackie Robinson's statue from the ballpark. Yeah, it happened yesterday. Yeah,
- 1:59:00okay, I thought it was African American man too. Yeah, they got
- 1:59:05a come on now, uh do any Ricky Alder ready? Okay, forty
- 1:59:15five year old gentleman. I think it was three or four charges they put
- 1:59:18on him, but one of them was stealing the Jackie Robinson statue. Did
- 1:59:23he say what was there? It was his motive? Now the police said
- 1:59:29there's no evidence that it was hate and motivated and the intent was just to
- 1:59:34sell the medal for scrap hm hmm. Okay, okay, that's Fay,
- 1:59:40That's who it was. Instead of hitting the academ going ahead and getting some
- 1:59:44coppa, he gonna take the statue salvage. Surely they won't know. Tiger
- 1:59:50Woods uh is launching said to launch his Sun Sunday Red brand. Yes,
- 2:00:00okay. He left Nike a couple of weeks ago and now he's going to
- 2:00:04launch his own brand. Does he have enough? Is he waited too late
- 2:00:10to launch this? I thought the same thing. When he's in the back
- 2:00:15his power of his power. Yeah, it's kind of faded as far as
- 2:00:21influence. He still people still wants to see. Yeah, if he can
- 2:00:26do it, But do I want to be seen making him his stuff?
- 2:00:30Right? Well, I think that it's gonna be great for him because great
- 2:00:33Normans, the Shark, his stuff still sell. Jack Nicholas the Bear,
- 2:00:38his golf clothes still sell. It's a different market. I didn't say they
- 2:00:42wouldn't sell something. He's Tiger Woods. I'm saying, And those guys help
- 2:00:46you out. It's like Nike only getting around to Michael Jordan when he got
- 2:00:50to the Wizards. How much influence with the Norman and getting that far into
- 2:00:58his career. You just got the Chicago Bull Mike and decided to only get
- 2:01:02in the game in that part, or the young Ali versus the old I'm
- 2:01:09not saying Tiger won't have success. I'm saying image of car wrecks and the
- 2:01:15divorce and all that stuff kind of tailed off his influence a little. Where
- 2:01:24her father be home talking about I want you to be like Tiger. We
- 2:01:28may not see for a while, and you know if we might not know
- 2:01:31until Charlie. Charlie, and that's the second thing I've seen might be starting
- 2:01:35this for his son to be able to push forward. Once he gets there,
- 2:01:41he can put him under that brand Sunday Red and Sunday Red and push
- 2:01:46him that way. So that was my second thought he when he left Nike.
- 2:01:49I was thinking, maybe this is a Charlie thing right that he thinks
- 2:01:55he has the problems and the thing about it too. If he could get
- 2:01:58a couple of players like a just To Thomas, who's a good friend of
- 2:02:00his, who was kicked off for Polo because of him having a breakdown on
- 2:02:05the course, and then recently they got mad at Tiger forgiving Justin Thomas a
- 2:02:10tampon. They thought that was insensitive. He gets someone like a Justin Thomas
- 2:02:13wearing it, a couple other players wearing it, you never know. Like
- 2:02:17I said, they'll build it up for Charlie and keep it moving. It
- 2:02:19won't be the Nike Global, Nike the Tiger Woods brand, but it will
- 2:02:27be sufficient enough if he can get the right players with it on and bad
- 2:02:30producer sometimes you have to listen that we didn't say it was gonna fail.
- 2:02:32No, I'm not talking about was he late in his career. No,
- 2:02:36I don't think he's all. I don't think that's why. But I'm telling
- 2:02:40you, I don't think Tiger has the Tiger pool today. Yes he doesn't
- 2:02:44have to mean we know Tiger does not make me run to watch the TV
- 2:02:48as he did ten years ago. That's not well. When I I would
- 2:02:53ran run and plan my day for that Tiger. Now you I don't have
- 2:02:59to eat and see the highlight. You could just tell me what Tiger did
- 2:03:01yesterday. As far as my interest in it, we don't even know if
- 2:03:06you played or not. Where it's the last time I used to know each
- 2:03:11where he was going, so I know he's his influences fought faded off.
- 2:03:15We used to the masses, we used to know his tea time, and
- 2:03:18we are in the ocean. The truth is he will throw your to the
- 2:03:25ocean. It's time to rap things up on the Sports Junk Show with Wayne
- 2:03:30and when he decided an ocean to give the Sports Talk says a minute to
- 2:04:03Ben, we'd like to thank you for tuning in to today's show. Vick
- 2:04:05Kenny comanch, your Grand Bad producer. Thank you for your contributions. Today
- 2:04:12we're bringing someone onto the ship. For his act I should throw him off,
- 2:04:16but for his honesty, I have to bring him on. Former Ohio
- 2:04:21State quarterback Art Slittern, who played back in the late eighties, early late
- 2:04:30seventies, early eighties, was pulled over. His car broke down. Officers
- 2:04:35came to help him out, and when Art saw that it was officers,
- 2:04:43he just handed him the crack pipe. They hadn't even asked him. They
- 2:04:49was coming to see why Art Carr was broken down, you know, but
- 2:04:53for the honesty comments, I ain't gonna even fight, y'all. Man,
- 2:04:56Look man, I'm sixty three. I was in here on some of this,
- 2:05:00on this pipe. It's good. And the officers I don't need no
- 2:05:03more. So they arrested him, but it was a friendly arrest. Now,
- 2:05:08you can't hurt a man. He was sharing. He was admitted to
- 2:05:13share. That's in a climent where everybody says they're not guilty. Art was
- 2:05:16just owning his guilty. Try this. It's pretty good. This stuff is
- 2:05:20really good. Art. Hey, I'm bringing you on for your honesty.
- 2:05:26And I thought people aged out of crack. I thought, after like fifty
- 2:05:30five you just started doing prescription meds. You're still doing crack at sixty three
- 2:05:35ARC. That's that's special. It's a rare breed it's over that art slip
- 2:05:41turn a man, I know that officer laughed, it's a whole day Art
- 2:05:50need some insurance. He had to take the rest of the day off he
- 2:05:54was laughing so much after Art handing him that crack pipe. Sign up for
- 2:05:57a prescription plan. Aren'tie. But from this jock shall we hope you have
- 2:06:00a good weekend. As we always say on Thursday, we'll see you in
- 2:06:02the future. Peace,
