- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on you.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody, y all
- 0:06Speaker 2: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now, one
- 0:09Speaker 2: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man, oh man,
- 0:13Speaker 2: oh man, God being good to me.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Man.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I can't explain it all really, Hey, you know, I
- 0:21Speaker 2: want I want to remind everybody of something that I
- 0:23Speaker 2: need reminding of myself all the time. And I'm I'm
- 0:29Speaker 2: I'm dealing with a couple of things now and I
- 0:31Speaker 2: had to remind myself. Uh, you know what I have
- 0:34Speaker 2: to remember. I have to constantly remind myself to stay
- 0:38Speaker 2: in constant communication with God. Constant communication with God, you know.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Uh sometimes you know, I have a tendency and maybe we.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Do all the people.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I don't know, but I know for me that when
- 0:51Speaker 2: it's going okay, I slack up in sometimes having conversations
- 0:57Speaker 2: with Him because I'm not coming to him on a
- 0:59Speaker 2: daily with something that's pressing or something, and I find
- 1:02Speaker 2: myself slacking up in the communication.
- 1:06Speaker 1: The danger I have learned in that is this, I think,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I mean, we've all heard old people say, you know,
- 1:14Speaker 2: you got to stay prayed up, you know, and you
- 1:18Speaker 2: know prayed up means, you know, you got some stored up,
- 1:22Speaker 2: You just got an abundance of them where you're putting
- 1:25Speaker 2: it in. Because what happens is is when you're not
- 1:28Speaker 2: in constant communication with God, when you're not constantly praying,
- 1:32Speaker 2: doing those good times, that allows for the enemy to
- 1:37Speaker 2: slip in and do the little things that can be upsetting.
- 1:42Speaker 2: And then the next thing, you know what, you get
- 1:44Speaker 2: several little things in a row. Now you got an
- 1:47Speaker 2: issue you're dealing with. You know, I have to remind
- 1:50Speaker 2: myself when it's going like that, Man, have I really
- 1:53Speaker 2: been praying though? Have I really been in constant communication
- 1:57Speaker 2: with God? Because you know that help God against that
- 2:01Speaker 2: little bitty stuff coming in. Sometimes it's big stuff, sometimes
- 2:05Speaker 2: it's major stuff. But I've noticed, man, that when I
- 2:08Speaker 2: get on a more of a smooth plane in life,
- 2:12Speaker 2: I have a tendency to slack up in that department.
- 2:15Speaker 2: And that ain't the time to slack up. I'm really
- 2:19Speaker 2: learning that I have to stay in constant communication with
- 2:23Speaker 2: God because it enables me to ward off those little
- 2:28Speaker 2: things coming up that can get in the way. And
- 2:31Speaker 2: so I just wanted to make you well of that
- 2:34Speaker 2: as I'm learning it myself, that staying prayed up.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Is important that you try to stop prayers, you.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Know, you try to you know, have some prayers in
- 2:43Speaker 2: the bank, so to speak, and just constant communication with him,
- 2:47Speaker 2: because it'll just safeguard you against a lot of stuff
- 2:50Speaker 2: back doing you. You know, I just wanted to make
- 2:52Speaker 2: sure you understood that because on your journey, it's gonna
- 2:56Speaker 2: be many obstacles. I've said this one hundred times on
- 3:00Speaker 2: the show. The road to success is always under construction.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I say that all the time, and it's to let
- 3:06Speaker 2: you understand that it's not going to be easy, but
- 3:11Speaker 2: we can make it more difficult than it has to be,
- 3:15Speaker 2: you know, when you go out strike out on the journey.
- 3:18Speaker 2: You know, let's say I got in my car. Let's
- 3:21Speaker 2: say I'm in New York and I get in my
- 3:24Speaker 2: car and I say I'm going to LA. I know,
- 3:28Speaker 2: if I drive west and continue to drive west, eventually
- 3:35Speaker 2: I should get to California, or I may wind up
- 3:38Speaker 2: in Portland or Seattle or something like that. But if
- 3:42Speaker 2: I drive west, I'm going to eventually get to the
- 3:46Speaker 2: West Coast.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Now wouldn't it be smarter though? If I mapped out
- 3:54Speaker 1: the route.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Which saved me a bunch of driving out need and
- 4:00Speaker 2: figuring that I don't have to calculate when you know
- 4:04Speaker 2: the way to go. You know, if you know you
- 4:09Speaker 2: want to cut cross on the twenty, or you want
- 4:13Speaker 2: to cut cross on the seventy, or you want to
- 4:16Speaker 2: cut cross on the Tin, you know you.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Got to devise a route.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Now, if I want to go visit some people I know,
- 4:24Speaker 2: then I know I got to I need to go down.
- 4:26Speaker 2: You know, I might go through Ohio, come down on
- 4:29Speaker 2: the eighty, then get on seventy one and take that
- 4:32Speaker 2: all the way down to the Tin and then ride across.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Or I might take it to the twenty, cut through
- 4:37Speaker 2: Texas and then and then let it link back up
- 4:40Speaker 2: on the ten. I know a lot of different ways,
- 4:42Speaker 2: but guess what the best way is to map it out.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You can go anywhere, but if you go with a map,
- 4:50Speaker 2: it's more precise. You save yourself a lot of time.
- 4:54Speaker 2: And that's what prayer has taught me that when I
- 4:57Speaker 2: will dentify continuously, pray that I stay in the in
- 5:01Speaker 2: the in the I stay in.
- 5:03Speaker 1: A prepared mode.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I have more idea of where I'm going. I'm more
- 5:07Speaker 2: secure with my route. If you just take off driving
- 5:11Speaker 2: heading west. Yeah, you'll eventually get to the west coast
- 5:14Speaker 2: if you out east. But guess what though, had you
- 5:17Speaker 2: mapped it out, you can see when you veering off,
- 5:20Speaker 2: you may stop, come out and not be paying attention.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Next thing, you know, you're on a route and you
- 5:26Speaker 2: go on another way. You're going north when you could
- 5:27Speaker 2: easily still be going west. You've got to constantly be
- 5:30Speaker 2: aware of that. And I'm just pointing that out to
- 5:32Speaker 2: you because I know that on your journey, a lot
- 5:35Speaker 2: of times you get sidetracked.
- 5:37Speaker 1: And part of the ways we get sidetracked is we.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Lose out on that very the very beneficial resource of prayer.
- 5:45Speaker 1: We lose out our connection with God gets strained.
- 5:49Speaker 2: The thicker you can keep the cord connected to God
- 5:55Speaker 2: if you thin out your communication with God. And instead
- 5:58Speaker 2: of having a big thick case, now you're dealing with
- 6:01Speaker 2: a little thread. You know, a cable is stronger than thread,
- 6:06Speaker 2: and so it just decreases your opportunity. And so you know,
- 6:11Speaker 2: I wanted to just make you aware of that, and
- 6:14Speaker 2: you know, to ever be encouraging to say to everybody
- 6:16Speaker 2: out there and just keep your head up. It is
- 6:19Speaker 2: going to be dark days for you. There are going
- 6:22Speaker 2: to be situations where it's going to be daunting and
- 6:25Speaker 2: hard to face. But man o, man oh man, everybody
- 6:29Speaker 2: has to face these challenges.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Everybody get dark sometimes.
- 6:33Speaker 2: You know, Look, if you didn't lose, if you didn't lose,
- 6:38Speaker 2: you wouldn't even appreciate winning because if it all went
- 6:42Speaker 2: your weight all the time. Do you know how complacent
- 6:46Speaker 2: and content and how easy life would be if it
- 6:51Speaker 2: just went your way.
- 6:52Speaker 1: All the time.
- 6:53Speaker 2: So when it kept going your way, you wouldn't even
- 6:56Speaker 2: appreciate it because guess what, it's been going this way
- 6:58Speaker 2: the whole time.
- 6:59Speaker 1: So what life does is it has its checks and balances.
- 7:04Speaker 2: These hard times are coming, and you need the hard
- 7:06Speaker 2: times to appreciate the good times. You need the clouds
- 7:11Speaker 2: and you need the rain to appreciate the sun and
- 7:15Speaker 2: the flowers. It's just when it comes to prayer, though,
- 7:20Speaker 2: just stay prayed up, stay constant with it, because the
- 7:24Speaker 2: challenges of life are coming, whether you pray it up
- 7:27Speaker 2: or not, they're coming. Understand that you could pray every
- 7:31Speaker 2: day all day. When you get through praying every day
- 7:34Speaker 2: all day, something gonna happen to you that's gonna be challenging. Now,
- 7:39Speaker 2: I would rather have been in communication with God on
- 7:42Speaker 2: a regular than wait till every time something pop off
- 7:45Speaker 2: to have to go to and reintroduce myself. Okay, was
- 7:49Speaker 2: over a little around the board with it today, but
- 7:53Speaker 2: that's how it came to me, so that is I
- 7:55Speaker 2: ain't mad at it.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Y'all have a great day. We're gonna have a good
- 7:57Speaker 1: one day. Let's go listen easy to see Eve Harvey
