SPEAKER_04: Let me ask you one question The note floor is bored not floor is bored the note floor is boring network is the You gotta give us a job You know what you're the notes floor is boring Netflix the last time the first time of this year Happy New Year everyone week 18 let's go over the records from last week before we get started not a not the banner week I uh was eight and eight yeah not bad but everybody else uh Mike and Justin goes seven and nine Jimmy five and eleven overall I am 137 and 117 on the season Mike 122 and 134 Jimmy 119 and 138 and Justin 113 and 141 we're doing hard rock in case you want to join us for the line no Thursday night football but we got a Saturday doubleheader and it's darts and none other than the AC I mean the NFT South Witches couldn't get more ACC than it has and here are the scenarios leading up to that game Carolina wins they're in Tampa wins that's not necessarily a win and end that's gonna come down to if New Orleans is able to win or tie against Atlanta if Atlanta wins and Tampa Bay wins Carolina goes back how deep made the ACP championship is in the yeah it is the perfect the perfect way to end the NFC and that is the way I'm picking it there's no way that this is not gonna end that way so I will go with Carolina uh no I'm gonna go with Tampa to win this game they are minus two and a half at home I'm gonna take the Bucks Mike who you got we're going Carolina and that one I don't think Tampa Bay's got one of things anymore I'm not believing in that well I got the Buc to win but then not go I got the Buc the the Panthers to win the division based on tiebreaker so NFC South and they'll get a home game all right let's go to the yeah I'm sorry uh Justin who you got in this yeah I'm with Mike I'm gonna say the Panthers you the Bucs have just been a dumpster fire the whole second half of the season that's too easy Jimmy Panthers all right as he points to his shirt that says Panthers North Pinellas Panthers let's go baby all right let's um let's go to the night game on Saturday this is gonna be a fun game um this is for the one seed this is for the NFC West it's also bullshit that it's on Saturday yeah well no we gotta have Aaron Rodgers man we gotta have him on Sunday night you know gotta gotta have that see who's gonna gonna win the NFC North and lose their first first round playoff game right but I mean you think that mat well San Francisco it does shorten the week for both teams Seattle's gotta fly back for I mean it's no advantage to anybody just bullshit it is what it is um San Francisco's getting one and a half at home Mike who you got I've got I've been uh I've been in Seattle all year but I think tonight or this week I'm going uh San Francisco to cover one and a half okay do you think they win the game uh I do yeah yeah I noticed you said that a couple weeks ago you liked him to win the division that's what they're gonna have to do Justin who you got in this yeah I think I gotta go with uh God man I don't know this is a tough one dude I think I think I'll take Sam Fran because uh why not yeah I mean both teams are really really good and Brock Purdy's been on fire so so give me Sam Fran.
5:13
SPEAKER_04: Um Jimmy going Hawks baby yeah I knew that was gonna happen because you just the Niners you got damn friend uh I'm gonna go Seahawks though as well um I think that the Niners D is just kind of gonna catch up to him with the injuries um and I think they'll the Seattle will be able to score enough and Brock Purdy has been rolling but they're fate he's about to face a defense it's only giving up like 20 pass touchdowns all year that's a good number um they're gonna give up some yards but they're gonna keep him out of the end zone I got the Seahawks in a close game all right um but I'm rooting for the Niners man all right let's go to Cincinnati on Sunday as the Browns will be in Cincinnati they're getting seven and a half the Browns coming off the big win over the Steelers the ugly 13 to six win the Bengals big blowout win at home but they're playing their guys if it was in the dog pound I would take the Browns but it's not I think the Bengals will score enough and the Browns won't score because the Bengals defense is actually playing better.
6:41
SPEAKER_04: I'll take the Bengals minus a seven and a half Jimmy no I'm gonna take the Browns man all right there you go it's gonna be a shitty game still looking for that sack record though yeah so we'll see the weather report there awful it's a wintering mix awful WMA Brown snow cold ugly people you know since the Browns Browns cover do they win?
7:12
SPEAKER_06: No oh yeah all right uh Justin who you got in this yeah I think I think that's seven and a half too much uh with the Browns defense I so I'm gonna take the Browns to cover but I think the Bengals win.
7:24
SPEAKER_07: All right Mike man so I I actually did some research before this call and I've made all these picks but I'm so close to Jim in the standing that I kind of need to like hedge against him catching up with me.
7:38
SPEAKER_07: But I I'm just gonna go with with my picks anyway I actually got the Bengals here.
7:43
SPEAKER_04: Yep minus the seven and a half I'm with you there.
7:46
SPEAKER_04: Alright let's go to New York um the Giants will be hosting the Cowboys um the Giants are getting three Mike who you got in this I got Dallas minus three all right oh all right I guess it's got a move and it's a big one it's a hook.
8:08
SPEAKER_04: Three and a half huh?
8:10
SPEAKER_07: So I'm gonna ask that a question I actually had I had three and a half written down anyway I thought he was gonna get a point so I'll still go Dallas.
8:18
SPEAKER_06: Alright go in Dallas alright uh Justin Yeah uh dude the Giants are freaking awful um I I think the Cowboys will score enough points and I kind of think they're blown out dude I mean the Giants are really bad.
8:33
SPEAKER_05: Jimmy is Dak playing?
8:35
SPEAKER_05: Yeah he's I mean he has then that's what they'll incentives and shit.
8:40
SPEAKER_04: Right they'll kick the shit out of him man it's there's nothing on the line they'll look great that hook will bring me back and I'm taking the Giants plus three and a half alright Jacksonville the Jags lock it up with a win over the Titans the Titans coming in playing better getting 13 Justin in honor of Mike Haynes I'm taking Cam Ward outright with the win that would be a total jags win way to do it I mean this game I mean this has got to be this is like a coronation for them you know just it's inevitable right and then to lose that game that would be total jags.
9:37
SPEAKER_07: Mike who you got teams a lot uh it is gonna go oh shoot uh I wrote down Jacksonville I guess I'll stick with it I was hoping Jim would pick first but I'll go with Jacksonville on this one I was with I'm I'm I was thinking the same thing I think the Jags get up big here but I think that they're gonna lock up their playoff spot and they're not they're gonna kind of take their pedal off the metal and the Titans are gonna not do that and they're gonna backdoor cover this thing classic backdoor cover.
10:12
SPEAKER_04: I I think I had the Jags at like 11 and a half but 13's too much I'm gonna I'm gonna go with the Titans here to cover and uh I don't know man maybe I'll have to come back to that one Jimmy were they playing in Jacksonville.
10:28
SPEAKER_04: I'll take the Jags all right uh let's go to Atlanta as I mentioned them earlier if they win this game and Tampa wins that will be a three-way tie giving Carolina the division which is just so NFC south they're playing the Saints though who have won what like three or four in a row shucks balling so this this is actually going to be a fun game um uh cousins is playing he looks like the better option for Atlanta honestly and they should have gone with him all year yeah um but the uh falcons are at home minus three jimmy who you got take the falcons all right yeah I just don't want to pick the Saints that's why well I'm gonna take the Falcons because I'm picking the NFC South three-way tie and yeah this is this hinges on that mine's more about the Saints just still being shit yeah well I don't care how many games they've won right still just ass all right uh so I'm going I'm gonna I'm gonna take the Falcons as well Mike who you got I'm safe man I've been rolling haven't lost since week 13 to the Mighty Dolphins all right uh Justin yeah I'm I'm gonna give you I'm I want the KO give me the Falcon.
11:53
SPEAKER_04: All right let's go to Minnesota as this game doesn't mean anything Green Bay's locked into the seven seed um Minnesota is minus eight I'll tell you that um this is a hard game to pick because of that uh I'm gonna take the Vikings because I think that they're still building and they still want to like try to get this quarterback some momentum the defense is pretty tough.
12:23
SPEAKER_04: I I think they're gonna blow Packers are just gonna mail it in.
12:27
SPEAKER_04: I see this to be in like 20 to three something like that.
12:31
SPEAKER_04: So I'll take the Vikings um you ain't got no faith in Malik Willis Jimmy yeah I'll take the Vikings well they're just not gonna play and yeah yeah I get I got you and again Brian Flores I mean you literally have a game you know who you're gonna play the next week yeah so just knowing that the Vikings have this is it this is it yeah I got you I'll take the Vikes try to end and they still have good players it's gonna be at home that place does is a is a this is this is why I picked him last week against the Lions it's because of that skull crowd man just Justin who you got yeah I'm with the Vikings for all the seasons y'all just said yeah I mean there's the the Packers can't go up or down playoffs.
13:29
SPEAKER_04: I mean yeah and they're they're limping they're limping in so they're not they're already down guys they're not uh Mike though what do you think I'm gonna go uh Green Bay just to fuck the trend again yeah Malik Willis I mean no I mean he's really good for yeah I mean he's showing off you know he wants to be a starter in the league exactly exactly this is always you're always putting on film like it it's different in football it's like you don't see like tanking if anything you see people going against it like Lovey Smith and thing right like the dolphins or you saw the the Giants last week yeah the Giants last week it's like they would have lost they would have guaranteed the first pick nah we're gonna go beat the hell out of the Raiders um all right so let's go we all have picked that one um I picked Green Bay yeah you got Green Bay and then we all three got Minnesota let's uh go to Houston as the Texans have been on a roll number one defense they look to be um uh the five seed probably if they win this game and Jacksonville wins as well they're getting my it's minus ten in Houston Justin minus ten that's that's a big friggin' line yeah yeah I think the Texans covered though the Texans all right uh Mike I'm going indie here that's who they're playing right yeah no it's in Houston no but they are playing Indianapolis yes they are playing Indianapolis in Houston I don't have Houston on my team I just have Indianapolis plus 10 all right so I'm going uh Indianapolis plus 10 all right I am too 10's too much they still have good web good players on the Colts starting Riley Leonard at quarterback the rookie against the Texans defense never mind I'm going Texans I was literally thinking with with Phillip Rivers yeah honestly Rivers wouldn't he doesn't like he knows what he has and he'll get he'll be like you know what we'll win this we'll lose this game close yeah we'll lose this game close I'll control the ball I'll get a like three first downs and you know have to punt or something but yeah I do think if if a Rivers was having like 10 points it would the line wouldn't be 10 if Rivers was playing so I'll I'll take the Texans Jimmy gimme D'Amico yeah um and Justin yeah I'm going with the Texans too I was in the culture of that all right New England New England is hosting the Dolphins oh here we go for this one here we go to something to play for they should have an outside shot at the one seed barring but that's I mean Vrabel knows that's not happening.
16:43
SPEAKER_04: Does he?
16:44
SPEAKER_04: I don't know he does they could be locked up before too right because they don't no they this these games are at the same time they do that this is at 425 Denver is at 425 if New England were to win and Denver were to lose New England would get to buy but LA is starting Trey Lance you know they're they've already they've already they're not yeah they're resting and Denver's at home they're they have to play for the one seed that's gonna yeah so and but Trey but like you said Mike you're putting on film this would be what a chance for Trey Lance to uh show show himself he needs a lot more help than Malik will I think I don't know all right but let's go back to uh this uh ten and ten and a half the dolphins are getting I'm gonna take the fish to cover that ten and a half's too much they've been playing a little bit better since they went to court is is digging yours is digs going to play probably not yeah well I mean he's got arrested for choking a bitch out so well I just think that Miami's gonna do what Miami does when they can affect their draft the negative the reverse way yeah we'll win yeah yeah we'll win we have a worse pick but they're not gonna win but they'll try it they'll try who's not gonna I would not be surprised if they didn't win this game I would not but I'm thinking they're gonna cover Jimmy yeah give me the fit they're gonna win outright Mike I'm gonna go with New England they're still trying to think they got a lot to play for so I'll go with them.
18:27
SPEAKER_04: Minus 10 and a half Justin yeah yeah I'm I'm with Jimmy 10's outright we screw our draft pick all right let's go to Chicago this is a fishy one for me I I don't under the the Giants I mean the bears the bears um are hosting the Lions I think this is some this is about matchups and the familiarity because the Lions the Lions actually destroyed the Bears the first time yeah like demolished them and but you would think the Bears hosting this game they have to win it they win they get the two seed uh Detroit's they're only it's minus two and a half that's it so they win they get the two seed what seed are they if they lose so Vegas I mean this is this is why I thought it'd be more you know with all the scenarios but there's some matchups matchups here that I think the Lions just have on the Bears but I'm gonna go bears I just think but they still need it so it could only be two or three right yeah but you you want to get the two because then it's Oh yeah no I hear you but Jim said what would they fall to if they lost I think they could only three because you have NFC South who gets four.
19:56
SPEAKER_04: Right.
19:56
SPEAKER_04: So you're not gonna go below that.
19:59
SPEAKER_04: Eagles are sitting Guys, too.
20:01
SPEAKER_04: So it's all about who you're going to play in that first.
20:04
SPEAKER_04: Right.
20:05
SPEAKER_04: So this is an interesting line.
20:07
SPEAKER_04: I guess I'll go.
20:08
SPEAKER_04: I mean, I'm going to Chicago here.
20:09
SPEAKER_04: I'm I'm driving the bus, but uh, who you guys got?
20:12
SPEAKER_04: Can I get a brat for you, Jimmy?
20:16
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
20:18
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, bech.
20:19
SPEAKER_04: Alright.
20:19
SPEAKER_04: And I mean, you get your ass whooped like they did.
20:22
SPEAKER_04: Right.
20:22
SPEAKER_04: They're gonna have to have something for that.
20:24
SPEAKER_04: And he's playing against his former team.
20:28
SPEAKER_04: But alright, let's uh Mike, who you got in this?
20:33
SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna go with uh Hedge and go with Jimmy's uh Chicago Bears here.
20:37
SPEAKER_04: All right, uh trying to pull him off.
20:39
SPEAKER_04: Jimmy Jr.'s um let's let's go to Justin.
20:44
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he was at the uh he got for his present.
20:47
SPEAKER_04: How about this?
20:48
SPEAKER_04: Uh Jimmy Jr.
20:49
SPEAKER_04: was we got tickets to see the Bears in the Niners last week.
20:53
SPEAKER_04: Went with his mama.
20:54
SPEAKER_05: He got over it quick.
20:56
SPEAKER_05: He got over it quick, but man, like he That was a hell of a game.
20:59
SPEAKER_05: He could barely talk, dude.
21:00
SPEAKER_05: Horse losing his mind.
21:02
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
21:03
SPEAKER_05: Journey at halftime.
21:07
SPEAKER_04: All right, uh Justin.
21:11
SPEAKER_06: I'm picking the Lions because Caleb One sucks.
21:14
SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
21:15
SPEAKER_04: Consistency.
21:16
SPEAKER_04: Yep.
21:17
SPEAKER_04: All right, let's go to Denver.
21:19
SPEAKER_04: Uh the Chargers, as I mentioned, are starting Trey Lance.
21:24
SPEAKER_04: Uh the Broncos still need to win it to lock up the one seed.
21:30
SPEAKER_04: Uh, but they don't Broncos don't blow people out, as you saw last week, which uh they didn't cover against the Chiefs.
21:38
SPEAKER_04: This is they're gonna try it again against a division opponent, 12 and a half.
21:42
SPEAKER_04: The Chargers are getting.
21:44
SPEAKER_04: Mike, who you got?
21:47
SPEAKER_07: Well, with my Denver Broncos, Trey Lance does not strike too much fear in me against the Broncos defense.
21:54
SPEAKER_07: So I'm gonna go take the Broncos by luck.
21:57
SPEAKER_07: Um Justin.
22:00
SPEAKER_06: Even with Trey Lance, 12 and a half is too much.
22:03
SPEAKER_06: Uh give me the Chargers.
22:06
SPEAKER_05: Jimmy.
22:07
SPEAKER_05: What's gonna happen is they're gonna run Trey Lance a ton.
22:10
SPEAKER_05: He's eventually gonna get hurt, and then DJ Ukulele is gonna come in off that bench.
22:16
SPEAKER_05: Yes, throw a couple dimes.
22:20
SPEAKER_03: He's gonna look great.
22:22
SPEAKER_04: And cover.
22:23
SPEAKER_04: Yep.
22:24
SPEAKER_04: I like it.
22:24
SPEAKER_04: Give me that.
22:25
SPEAKER_04: I'm taking that.
22:26
SPEAKER_04: Just to piss me off.
22:28
SPEAKER_04: Right.
22:29
SPEAKER_04: God.
22:31
SPEAKER_04: All right.
22:31
SPEAKER_04: Uh, let's move on to um LA as the Rams, man.
22:36
SPEAKER_04: God.
22:37
SPEAKER_04: An egg was laid in Atlanta last Monday night as they blew that game to the Falcons.
22:44
SPEAKER_04: Maybe, I mean, what's up with that?
22:46
SPEAKER_04: Familiarity with the coach Raheem Morris being on the staff so long?
22:50
SPEAKER_06: Maybe.
22:51
SPEAKER_06: I don't I don't know.
22:53
SPEAKER_06: Bijan going off, is all that was.
22:55
SPEAKER_04: Not yet.
22:56
SPEAKER_04: He's he's really incredible.
22:59
SPEAKER_05: That block kick returned for a touchdown by Verse.
23:04
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and they still break.
23:08
SPEAKER_04: Um Falcons are been a different team with uh cousins here.
23:14
SPEAKER_04: Um, but we're not talking about the Falcons this week.
23:17
SPEAKER_04: We're talking about the Rams right now, and they're against the Cardinals.
23:22
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
23:23
SPEAKER_04: So good for you, Rams.
23:25
SPEAKER_04: They're covering.
23:26
SPEAKER_04: Minus seven and a half.
23:27
SPEAKER_04: I'll take it.
23:28
SPEAKER_04: Mike?
23:29
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, I'm with you on that one, Rams.
23:31
SPEAKER_04: All right, Justin.
23:33
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, that's that's easy.
23:35
SPEAKER_07: Rams.
23:36
SPEAKER_04: Uh Jimmy.
23:38
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I don't that should be double.
23:40
SPEAKER_04: That's another one, though.
23:42
SPEAKER_04: And I'm like, what's going on with this line?
23:44
SPEAKER_04: This one in the Chicago's nothing going on.
23:48
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'm not gonna.
23:49
SPEAKER_05: Nah, dude, the Cardinals suck.
23:51
SPEAKER_05: Familiarity?
23:52
SPEAKER_05: What familiarity?
23:53
SPEAKER_05: We know how bad they suck.
23:54
SPEAKER_04: Uh good no.
23:56
SPEAKER_04: All right.
23:56
SPEAKER_04: Uh all right, let's go to Buffalo.
23:59
SPEAKER_04: As the Jets are going to play the Bills.
24:03
SPEAKER_04: They're getting eight points in Buffalo.
24:07
SPEAKER_04: It won't be enough.
24:08
SPEAKER_04: Give me the Bills.
24:12
SPEAKER_04: Jimmy.
24:12
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
24:14
SPEAKER_04: Jets, man.
24:14
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
24:15
SPEAKER_04: You're Jets, huh?
24:16
SPEAKER_04: You're Jets.
24:18
SPEAKER_04: Uh, Mike, who you got?
24:20
SPEAKER_07: Is it minus seven?
24:22
SPEAKER_07: Eight.
24:23
SPEAKER_07: Eight.
24:24
SPEAKER_07: I don't care.
24:27
SPEAKER_07: Oh, wait.
24:29
SPEAKER_04: Justin, who you got?
24:32
SPEAKER_06: You know I'm taking my boy Josh Allen and my bills.
24:36
SPEAKER_05: K-boat.
24:36
SPEAKER_06: I gave you the table on that.
24:38
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, just to clarify, I'm picking the bills.
24:40
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
24:42
SPEAKER_04: K-boat.
24:43
SPEAKER_04: There we go.
24:44
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I'm I'm also gonna pick the bills.
24:49
SPEAKER_04: Mike, who are you gonna pick?
24:51
SPEAKER_07: I'm taking the tables as well, Mike.
24:54
SPEAKER_07: Yeah, there we go.
24:56
SPEAKER_04: Hit it again.
25:00
SPEAKER_04: All right.
25:01
SPEAKER_04: Let's go to let's go to Las Vegas.
25:05
SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
25:07
SPEAKER_04: Degenerates only at this game.
25:09
SPEAKER_04: Yep.
25:09
SPEAKER_04: As the Chiefs.
25:11
SPEAKER_04: The Chiefs are coming to town with who the hell is gonna be playing quarterback for them?
25:19
SPEAKER_04: A guy.
25:20
SPEAKER_04: Somebody.
25:22
SPEAKER_04: And there's the Raiders are still favored.
25:26
SPEAKER_04: I mean no the Chiefs are favored.
25:27
SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be that old Ola Ducan.
25:29
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
25:30
SPEAKER_04: That Ola Ducan guy.
25:32
SPEAKER_04: So Chiefs minus five in Las Vegas.
25:37
SPEAKER_04: Mike, who you got?
25:42
SPEAKER_07: No! Really?
25:45
SPEAKER_07: Home dog.
25:47
SPEAKER_07: Yeah.
25:49
SPEAKER_07: I'm off the Chiefs, man.
25:54
SPEAKER_04: So they're going with Chris Oladucan.
25:56
SPEAKER_05: Ola Ducan.
25:57
SPEAKER_05: Where's he at?
25:58
SPEAKER_05: Where'd he go to school?
25:59
SPEAKER_05: I mean he started at USF.
26:00
SPEAKER_05: I don't know where he where he matriculated to.
26:04
SPEAKER_07: Alright, uh, Jimmy, who you got?
26:07
SPEAKER_05: Tina Smith is out there, so I'm going with the Chiefs just because the Raiders are just straight up garbage.
26:15
SPEAKER_05: Um I'm looking forward to Fernando Mendoza being in in Las Vegas.
26:23
SPEAKER_05: That guy in Vegas.
26:25
SPEAKER_05: Will it corrupt him or will he stay pure?
26:30
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they need somebody.
26:33
SPEAKER_04: Um oh man, Justin, who you got in this?
26:38
SPEAKER_06: Oh yeah, I I I can't I can't pick the Raiders.
26:41
SPEAKER_06: They're they're a mess.
26:43
SPEAKER_06: I can't pick them, so I I I gotta pick the Chiefs begrudgingly.
26:46
SPEAKER_04: Right.
26:47
SPEAKER_04: I mean God, it would be so this would be just a terrible win for the Raiders, right?
26:54
SPEAKER_04: To go all season and then win and not get the one pick to and they open the season beating the Patriots.
27:03
SPEAKER_04: Right.
27:04
SPEAKER_04: They're gonna close the season beating the Chiefs.
27:07
SPEAKER_04: I'm taking the Raiders.
27:10
SPEAKER_04: They're gonna be like, wow, man, they must have had a great season.
27:13
SPEAKER_04: Nah, man.
27:14
SPEAKER_04: One is one of the worst of the things.
27:15
SPEAKER_05: You know what?
27:16
SPEAKER_05: Pete Carroll's still still doing his Ric Flair as he's running off.
27:19
SPEAKER_05: Yep.
27:20
SPEAKER_04: Hands up.
27:20
SPEAKER_04: Woo! Going surfing.
27:22
SPEAKER_04: It's all optimism, man.
27:23
SPEAKER_04: They're about to get it, they're about to get it rolling.
27:27
SPEAKER_04: All right.
27:28
SPEAKER_04: Um bonus time.
27:31
SPEAKER_04: Uh the playoffs, first round of the playoffs uh concluded.
27:35
SPEAKER_04: Uh Justin's Hurricanes were the big winner.
27:39
SPEAKER_04: As New Year's Eve night, they took down the defending national champion, Ohio State Buckeyes, a two seed, 24-14.
27:50
SPEAKER_04: All right, buddy.
27:52
SPEAKER_04: Go ahead.
27:53
SPEAKER_06: Oh, dude.
27:56
SPEAKER_06: Best New Year's Eve ever.
27:57
SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
27:58
SPEAKER_06: 20, 20, some odd years in the making to get that revenge game, dude.
28:02
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it had to be.
28:04
SPEAKER_03: I sent you a picture of where I was.
28:06
SPEAKER_04: I was at taking my kids.
28:08
SPEAKER_04: We went and saw Stranger Things at the theater, but I I had to check it.
28:12
SPEAKER_04: And I right when I walked out, the pick six happened.
28:16
SPEAKER_04: He threw it.
28:17
SPEAKER_04: I mean, the dude just read that.
28:19
SPEAKER_05: What's crazy is the last time the defending national champion was down two scores at halftime was when Ohio State was ahead of Miami in 2002.
28:30
SPEAKER_04: Wasn't it?
28:31
SPEAKER_04: What about uh Florida State, Auburn?
28:34
SPEAKER_04: Defending national champion.
28:36
SPEAKER_04: Well, there's not many defending national champions that get into that game.
28:44
SPEAKER_04: Interesting stat or not.
28:46
SPEAKER_04: Miami's defense is for real.
28:48
SPEAKER_04: Uh they both lines.
28:50
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but those dudes, uh, Ole Miss in a fun win last night over Georgia.
28:56
SPEAKER_04: So now they'll they'll play Miami.
28:58
SPEAKER_04: They get to get their ass.
28:59
SPEAKER_04: Indiana beat the brakes off Alabama.
29:03
SPEAKER_04: I mean, that was impressive.
29:05
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that was the most impressive showing of all the playoffs.
29:09
SPEAKER_04: I mean, you had had a trend there where you were looking at the teams with the buys that they were getting beat right by short rush.
29:16
SPEAKER_04: So they they bucked that trend.
29:18
SPEAKER_04: They looked good.
29:20
SPEAKER_04: Um they're gonna be able to do that.
29:21
SPEAKER_04: But they they they also beat a team that that got their LK.
29:25
SPEAKER_04: Still 38-3, man.
29:27
SPEAKER_04: Right.
29:27
SPEAKER_05: All right, this is but the argument can be made that they played a team just like James Madison or Tulane that didn't really belong in the playoffs.
29:35
SPEAKER_05: There you go.
29:35
SPEAKER_04: I agree with that.
29:36
SPEAKER_04: I I I I still, yes, I don't think Alabama or Oklahoma should have been in.
29:41
SPEAKER_04: Right.
29:42
SPEAKER_04: But it's okay.
29:43
SPEAKER_04: And Indiana's probably, you know, they're they're getting the title game.
29:46
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, the Indiana's uh they're gonna be playing Oregon, who shut out my pick, my surprise pick.
29:54
SPEAKER_04: God, they need to use that oil money to find a quarterback.
29:57
SPEAKER_04: Good God.
29:58
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
30:01
SPEAKER_04: Uh initially, I think Indiana is gonna win again in that game.
30:05
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you're you're setting up for Fernando Mendoza, Columbus High School.
30:10
SPEAKER_05: Against his against Mario Cristobal, Columbus High School.
30:13
SPEAKER_04: Or even if, or how about this?
30:15
SPEAKER_04: What if Miami were to play Carson Beck and like that?
30:20
SPEAKER_04: That's over, I'm sorry.
30:22
SPEAKER_04: Or if he gets to go against Oregon as a whole team.
30:24
SPEAKER_05: Regardless, there's gonna be that.
30:26
SPEAKER_05: There's gonna be a storyline either way.
30:29
SPEAKER_03: How about this?
30:30
SPEAKER_03: That did that.
30:31
SPEAKER_03: They put Georgia in after they lose.
30:34
SPEAKER_03: The committee just says that was too quality of a loss.
30:37
SPEAKER_03: Right.
30:38
SPEAKER_06: It is a great loss.
30:40
SPEAKER_06: Great loss.
30:40
SPEAKER_06: They knew that.
30:41
SPEAKER_04: Uh, first initial thoughts of the old miss Miami game, Justin.
30:46
SPEAKER_06: Miami blows them out.
30:48
SPEAKER_03: Really?
30:50
SPEAKER_06: Yep.
30:52
SPEAKER_06: I I think this is the best matchup for Miami.
30:54
SPEAKER_06: Uh, Georgia would have been a tougher game for us.
30:57
SPEAKER_06: I think Miami blows Ole Miss out.
31:00
SPEAKER_04: That that's what I'm afraid of because of the quality of defense.
31:05
SPEAKER_04: Miami has just played the last two weeks.
31:08
SPEAKER_04: Now they're gonna go against a defense that they can finally probably push around a little bit, and it's just gonna get their defense excited.
31:17
SPEAKER_04: And although I was really impressed with the quarterback, and I mean, old miss, man, everybody's against him, and nobody's giving him credit because the Lane Kiffin thing, then that we're off on that one.
31:29
SPEAKER_04: So I'm rooting for Ole Miss.
31:32
SPEAKER_04: But I think Miami's got the better players.
31:35
SPEAKER_04: Uh I think it's gonna be Indiana Miami.
31:39
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
31:39
SPEAKER_05: Uh my two takeaways.
31:41
SPEAKER_05: I think it's over already, dude.
31:42
SPEAKER_05: Nobody's beat Miami.
31:44
SPEAKER_05: But also, the SEC, like what the fuck, dude?
31:48
SPEAKER_05: Five teams from this conference.
31:50
SPEAKER_04: You should have made that bet before the playoffs.
31:52
SPEAKER_04: They had great five teams, yeah.
31:55
SPEAKER_04: That's the that's the initial they got in just two of their old miss should definitely be in.
32:02
SPEAKER_05: I I guess.
32:03
SPEAKER_04: I mean, they played Tulane in another SEC.
32:06
SPEAKER_05: Georgia should have been in.
32:08
SPEAKER_05: And that's it.
32:10
SPEAKER_05: Texas AM, great.
32:12
SPEAKER_05: You went 11 and 1.
32:13
SPEAKER_05: You didn't beat anybody the entire season.
32:15
SPEAKER_05: Right.
32:16
SPEAKER_05: Alabama, dude, you lost to Florida State.
32:18
SPEAKER_05: Get the fuck out of here.
32:20
SPEAKER_05: They only look at the good stuff for the SEC.
32:22
SPEAKER_04: They never talk about the bad stuff.
32:24
SPEAKER_05: They have an entire network that is their propaganda arm.
32:27
SPEAKER_05: It really is.
32:27
SPEAKER_05: Pushing it in the sport.
32:29
SPEAKER_05: It really is.
32:30
SPEAKER_05: But the hurricanes move on.
32:33
SPEAKER_05: God dang it.
32:35
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, you know.
32:37
SPEAKER_05: I remember back in 2006 when Bobby, you know, when we sucked, we sucked a little less than we do now.
32:45
SPEAKER_05: And and Florida was was you know, it's like, holy shit, they got a shot.
32:49
SPEAKER_05: And then once it came closer and they got to the SEG championship, it was obvious.
32:53
SPEAKER_05: It was like there nobody's beating these guys.
32:55
SPEAKER_05: All right, you guys want to pick them?
32:57
SPEAKER_04: We got lines.
32:58
SPEAKER_04: Might as well.
32:59
SPEAKER_04: Sure.
32:59
SPEAKER_04: Old Miss getting two.
33:00
SPEAKER_07: Did we ever pick the last did we ever pick the last pro football game?
33:05
SPEAKER_04: Did we?
33:06
SPEAKER_04: Which was it?
33:07
SPEAKER_04: Was it Vegas and Kansas?
33:09
SPEAKER_07: I think in Baltimore.
33:10
SPEAKER_07: We didn't pick up the city.
33:10
SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, dude.
33:12
SPEAKER_04: You're you're right.
33:13
SPEAKER_04: Wow, look at that.
33:14
SPEAKER_04: Look at that.
33:15
SPEAKER_04: What a treat.
33:16
SPEAKER_04: What a treat.
33:18
SPEAKER_04: Just when you think it's over, but two games.
33:22
SPEAKER_04: Jeez.
33:23
SPEAKER_04: Two games I didn't pick.
33:25
SPEAKER_04: So back to the NFL.
33:27
SPEAKER_04: We go.
33:28
SPEAKER_04: I didn't I I thought I heard a shuttle, but it I didn't.
33:32
SPEAKER_04: Um the Eagles are hosting the commanders, and who cares?
33:41
SPEAKER_04: I think the Eagles will I think the Eagles will win because they're at home and they're just gonna be like, I guess, trying hard with the guys that are playing.
33:50
SPEAKER_04: What's the line?
33:51
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
33:51
SPEAKER_04: Three and a half.
33:53
SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
33:54
SPEAKER_04: Jimmy?
33:54
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I'll take the Eagles.
33:56
SPEAKER_04: Uh Justin?
33:58
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I can't either a mask.
33:59
SPEAKER_06: Give me the Eagles.
34:00
SPEAKER_04: And Mike.
34:02
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, Eagles.
34:03
SPEAKER_04: Alright, this is the one.
34:04
SPEAKER_04: Thank you.
34:05
SPEAKER_04: I can't believe it.
34:06
SPEAKER_04: But hey, it gets its own little segment.
34:09
SPEAKER_04: The Steelers are hosting the Ravens for the NFC North title.
34:16
SPEAKER_04: It's gonna be Snoop Hunley.
34:19
SPEAKER_04: Snoop.
34:20
SPEAKER_04: They're gonna go back.
34:21
SPEAKER_07: Jackson said he's coming back.
34:23
SPEAKER_04: He did?
34:24
SPEAKER_04: Jackson said he's playing.
34:25
SPEAKER_04: Alright, well I'm going Steelers.
34:27
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I I heard yeah, I heard Lamar Jackson was playing.
34:29
SPEAKER_04: We're going Steelers then.
34:30
SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
34:32
SPEAKER_04: Same here.
34:33
SPEAKER_04: Um I thought they had a chance by just giving the ball to Henry 40 times if you have to.
34:39
SPEAKER_04: Just run it, get a fullback out there.
34:42
SPEAKER_04: I liked what they did.
34:43
SPEAKER_04: And just power run it, control the clock, give your defense, which has been playing a little bit better, and make it easy for the quarterback.
34:51
SPEAKER_04: Lamar's gonna require more plays for him, which aren't gonna work.
34:56
SPEAKER_04: And I'll take the Steelers.
34:59
SPEAKER_04: I'll take the three and a half.
35:01
SPEAKER_04: Jimmy.
35:02
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, give me the Steelers.
35:04
SPEAKER_05: Justin.
35:06
SPEAKER_06: I'm taking the Ravens, dude.
35:07
SPEAKER_06: Without DK Metcalf and without uh that big giant tight end Washington, dude, the Steelers aren't gonna be able to move the ball for shit.
35:15
SPEAKER_06: So I'm taking the Ravens.
35:17
SPEAKER_07: Mike.
35:19
SPEAKER_07: I'm gonna go Steelers try and keep up with Jimmy here.
35:24
SPEAKER_05: Alright.
35:25
SPEAKER_05: So is is Lamar Jackson?
35:28
SPEAKER_05: Like the less effective he becomes running the football, he's just gonna get worse.
35:34
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
35:35
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
35:36
SPEAKER_05: Catching up with him.
35:36
SPEAKER_05: Father Time.
35:38
SPEAKER_04: I mean, he's he's already in the Hall of Fame.
35:41
SPEAKER_04: But yeah.
35:44
SPEAKER_05: He can't do.
35:45
SPEAKER_05: I mean, you can't be like You gotta eventually learn how to play quarterback.
35:50
SPEAKER_05: Learn how to pass.
35:52
SPEAKER_05: Or when your legs go, you just turn into Randall Cunningham at the end of his career.
35:58
SPEAKER_06: Dan Newton.
36:00
SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
36:02
SPEAKER_04: Well, uh, he was on my fantasy team this year.
36:06
SPEAKER_04: I'm fading him.
36:07
SPEAKER_04: I literally am changing my pick because he's playing.
36:13
SPEAKER_05: Wow.
36:14
SPEAKER_05: That's why you finished fourth, buddy.
36:17
SPEAKER_03: Ha ha!
36:18
SPEAKER_04: Alright, uh like you said, we have uh playoff games, we'll have the bowl games, the Fiesta Bowl, where's the Peach Bowl?
36:29
SPEAKER_04: Yeah, those are the two host spots for the semifinal.
36:36
SPEAKER_04: And we'll see who comes out on top for the second place, I guess, because you know who the champ is.
36:41
SPEAKER_04: Regular season is my first ever championship.
36:46
SPEAKER_04: Where's that Latin Jug?
36:48
SPEAKER_04: The war, boy.
36:49
SPEAKER_04: That Latin Jug will reside here for this year.
36:54
SPEAKER_04: But we will do playoff picks to give ourselves more fun as the playoffs will start here in a couple weeks.
37:07
SPEAKER_04: Next week.
37:08
SPEAKER_04: Next week, so we'll get to pick those games, go over to the national championship matchup.
37:19
SPEAKER_04: Probably not gonna talk much hoops yet.
37:23
SPEAKER_04: UNC didn't win by that much.
37:26
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, that just tells me UNC's not that good.
37:31
SPEAKER_04: We'll see, man.
37:32
SPEAKER_04: You got Duke tomorrow coming into town.
37:35
SPEAKER_04: Uh still tickets available.
37:38
SPEAKER_05: Oh, really?
37:38
SPEAKER_05: That's shocking.
37:39
SPEAKER_05: Yeah, for like 50 bucks, though.
37:41
SPEAKER_05: Oh dude.
37:44
SPEAKER_05: For this team.
37:46
SPEAKER_05: I don't think it's for this team.
37:49
SPEAKER_05: Four four four tickets, 50 bucks, something like that.
37:52
SPEAKER_05: Then you get one.
37:56
SPEAKER_05: Alright.
37:56
SPEAKER_04: 14.
37:58
SPEAKER_04: We'll watch them all.
38:00
SPEAKER_04: Happy New Year, everyone.
38:02
SPEAKER_04: And we'll talk to you next time, right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
38:18
SPEAKER_01: You gotta give us a shot.
38:20
SPEAKER_01: You know what?
