  That is that someone being very sweet and encouraging.

  There you go with extra enthusiasm and excitement.

  Yes, today is the day they get on a plane and come home, which

  will be very good. Cups of tea with the family, ah

  ah. Fantastic.

  I'm not great at making cups of tea while he's away.

  the feet of that wise King Solomon and hear his reflections

  on life over his long and very curious and observant life.

  Great, let's read together Proverbs 2215 to 21.

  A youngster's heart is filled with foolishness, but physical
• 1:59
  discipline will drive it far away.

  A person who gets ahead by oppressing the poor or by

  showering gifts on the rich will end in poverty.

  Listen to the words of the wise. Apply your heart to my
• 2:17
  instruction. For it is good to keep these
• 2:21
  sayings in your heart and always ready on your lips.

  I'm teaching you today, yes you, so you will trust in the Lord.

  I have written 30 sayings for you, filled with advice and
• 2:35
  knowledge. In this way you may know the

  truth and take an accurate report to those who sent you.

  And again. A youngsters heart is filled

  with foolishness, but physical discipline will drive it far

  away. A person who gets ahead by

  oppressing the poor or by showering gifts on the rich will

  end in poverty. Well, this is a bit of a

  different reading. That second chunk really kind of
• 3:13
  sets up 30 sayings, which of course will come next week, but
• 3:17
  we're not quite there yet. It's got a different rhythm to
• 3:20
  it, doesn't it? That second half this after
• 3:23
  sayings of the wise. I'm trying to process these two
• 3:26
  that we've just read again. Yeah, that set, that last one.

  A person who gets ahead by oppressing the poor or by
• 3:35
  showering gifts on the rich. Just that there are other ways
• 3:38
  to get ahead and neither of those is the right choice.

  And I mean really, it's hungering after after God and
• 3:46
  following His way is the best way to get ahead.

  And it, it all comes back to character, doesn't it?

  And particularly that first one that talks about shaping
• 3:53
  character through discipline, you know, getting rid of that
• 3:56
  foolishness through discipline. We don't like discipline.

  It doesn't seem to be a very popular topic at the moment.
• 4:03
  It's more about what you want and follow your heart.
• 4:05
  But then in the introduction, it kind of brings it back to wisdom
• 4:09
  is teaching us to trust in God and knowing the truth that we
• 4:13
  find in Him. Absolutely.

  So look out for that next Friday, the start of our 30
• 4:19
  sayings of the wires. Oh Lord, thank you for for
• 4:24
  wisdom. Not in not in pithy little one
• 4:28
  liners, but in continually drawing us back to you,
• 4:32
  continually reminding us that shaping our character to be more
• 4:37
  aligned with you and your ways and your truth, that is the
• 4:41
  seat, that is the foundation of all the wisdom.
• 4:46
  So we come back to you and we pray that you transform our
• 4:50
  hearts, that you draw us closer to you, more closely aligned
• 4:55
  with you, so that our hearts can reflect and mirror the beating
• 4:59
  heart of of you and your Kingdom.
