- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, a little bit later.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: So there was a situation where I was with multiple men, and one of them may have been a coworker, and one of them may have not been a coworker.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And neither of them would carry an umbrella, and they were like, hmm, not uh not for me.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: For men, we can get wet.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, I think that they were like, uh if it's a steady downpour, you run to your destination.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Sounds gay, but not.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: I guess.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Would you carry an umbrella?
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Or no?
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: You're not- of course, because well, why?
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Because it's I'm not rugged.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, that too.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: Look at these hands.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: There's not a callus anywhere.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: If you didn't have kids, let's say you and I No, I've I've had to do the run.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Sometimes I don't have the umbrella.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: And I mean, if there's no kids around that I have to, you know, like, you know, more so Lydia and well, you ain't given to.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Uh, but uh, if there was no kids, I would just run to wherever I have to be.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: I'm like, ah, screw the umbrella.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: But it's sometimes it's raining so much.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Because I I was like, you guys, do you want do you want an umbrella?
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: The only way to do it is you give not gonna melt, Allie.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm at my house.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: I've got three umbrellas for the ready.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: You guys want to have an umbrella?
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: No.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: You don't need one, no.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Don't umbrella me.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: No, that's right.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Excuse me, I'm sorry.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: You all gotta watch your hair and all that stuff, you know.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: Uh whatever.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: And you're like, I'm just gonna walk through the rain.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, you're gonna be cold and wet.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Be alright.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: See, I'm you're proving my point.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: We're dry.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: How does that sound gay?
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: I sound rugged.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: I mean, not that you can't be ruggedly gay.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Those are called bears.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: That that would be yes, they are.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: That would be if you were carrying an umbrella.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Oh, that would make me gay.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Sounds gay, but not.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Not okay, got it.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Switching gears totally.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Can I can I uh I have to share this with you because this is gonna make you feel old, but it ain't old.
- 2:45SPEAKER_01: What?
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: So the other day we're driving in the car.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: Gavin was uh uh he was telling me about a song that he likes.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: Because you know, kids discover music usually from a game.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Yes, honest to God, this is how they find it.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: Like it's on a game or or um if it's uh Remember Rihanna's uh was it Panda Replay that was really big with the the toilet?
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: What was the toilet that talked?
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Uh Skibbity?
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: Skibity Toilet, thank you.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: Oh Skibity Toilet had put out an old Rihanna song that was in the like the Skibity world.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Oh and I remember Gavin really liking this song.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Right, right.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: It was an older song.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: They find they find songs like this.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: So he's explaining this to me, and he goes, Oh yeah, and I found it.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: He found the song while he was driving in the car.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, and it's by a group Gavin was driving at 12.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Wow, that's amazing.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: He's good.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Uh and he found it, and it was a group called Catfish.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: And he goes, and he says, he goes, apparently they got their name from some old show.
- 3:44SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Oh, the Catfished MTV.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: And I'm thinking to myself, okay, for you that's an old show.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: For anybody else that's listening, Catfished was like the biggest show.
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: College show just prior to the pandemic, even.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: If you think about it, because it stayed alive.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: That was one of the shows that stuck around for a while on MTV.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Which now MTV is gone.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: So uh, but I it when he said it, I was like, oh, your 12-year-old mind does not know.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: So here I am trying to explain to him what catfished was.
- 4:18SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, what did you say?
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: I would love to hear this explanation.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: I kind of went, I kind of said, okay, it's like if you're online and someone is talking to you, but they're telling you things that are not true.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: Very good.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: But you don't really know about it until well later you find out about it.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, because it's it's we all know what catfished is, don't we all know?
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: But try to explain that.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Right, exactly.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: They're being putting on a fake personality.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Yes, and he even mentioned that.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: He goes, so they're faking to be someone else.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: I said, Yes, excellent way to look at it.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: But it stopped me in my tracks because I'm like, to me, catfished is not an old show.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Like it's just not.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: No, I don't even know when it was out, but it was like it's one of the.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: It doesn't feel old though.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 5:04SPEAKER_01: You know, there are certain old shows that feel old, you know, like Full House feels old.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: You know, I mean catfish doesn't feel old.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: First episode was 2012.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's not that long ago.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: No, how long it was.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: But Gavin was born in 2014.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: That show was actively on.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: Not that he was watching it as a toddler.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: I skip right past Bluey and where it went right to catfished.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to see how long it lasted.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: I think on and off.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: It was around for years.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: I think so too.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: I I honestly don't.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Oh, actually, it went through 2024.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Wow, 12 years of that show?
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: See, I don't think it was very commonly on, like it was intermittent.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: It would be here, you wouldn't see it for a while, then they'd have a special or something like that.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: But it was the weirdest thing that I'll that he's like, yeah, because it was all him saying their name they got from a show, some old show.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Oh, it's not old.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: No, thanks.
