- 1:33Speaker 3: Welcome to your meditative prayer on healing grief. To get
- 1:37Speaker 3: the most out of your spiritual journey, use Pray.com every
- 1:40Speaker 3: day and make prayer a priority in your life. Again,
- 1:45Speaker 3: our goal for today's meditative prayer is healing grief. Grief's
- 1:50Speaker 3: a heavy emotion to process. So take a minute this
- 1:55Speaker 3: day to gather your thoughts and to quiet your spirit.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Accommodate yourself into a comfortable state. Close your eyes. Breathe easy.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Now turn your heart and fix your attention to what
- 2:19Speaker 3: God has for you. Today, again, we'll be meditating on
- 2:23Speaker 3: John chapter 14, verse 27 from the King James Version.
- 2:29Speaker 3: It says, Peace I leave with you. My peace I
- 2:32Speaker 3: give unto you. Not as the world giveth, give I
- 2:36Speaker 3: unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let
- 2:41Speaker 3: it be afraid. Let us take time to adore God
- 2:45Speaker 3: in these moments. God, I worship you, for you are
- 2:51Speaker 3: who you say you are. I praise you for granting
- 2:56Speaker 3: me your unmatched peace, a peace that surpasses all knowledge
- 3:02Speaker 3: and understanding. I praise you for your loving kindness over me. God,
- 3:09Speaker 3: I worship you for you are always with me. You
- 3:13Speaker 3: never leave me nor forsake me. I praise you for
- 3:17Speaker 3: your care over me in this time of need. My friends,
- 3:22Speaker 3: grief is one of, if not the most difficult emotions
- 3:25Speaker 3: to process. Grief can overwhelm the heart and it can
- 3:30Speaker 3: paralyze the mind with fear. But Jesus can help you
- 3:35Speaker 3: deal with grief. Why? Because he offers you his peace.
- 3:41Speaker 3: The peace of God is different from what this world
- 3:44Speaker 3: has to offer. Human peace is dependent upon control of circumstances.
- 3:51Speaker 3: It requires everything to be going well in order for
- 3:55Speaker 3: it to be real. That's not so with God. Jesus
- 4:00Speaker 3: offers a peace that will prevail against all all odds.
- 4:05Speaker 3: It is tranquility in the middle of the storm, a
- 4:09Speaker 3: solid foundation amidst shifting sands. The peace Christ offers is
- 4:16Speaker 3: not contingent on your control or your understanding, just your acceptance.
- 4:24Speaker 3: His peace is the reassurance that no matter what, God
- 4:29Speaker 3: is in control. Not only is he in control, but
- 4:36Speaker 3: also he has a plan. And not just any plan.
- 4:41Speaker 3: He has the best plan. Because God is who he is.
- 4:48Speaker 3: His peace reigns supreme. So confess your grief to God
- 4:53Speaker 3: right now. For he is waiting for you. Let us
- 4:59Speaker 3: now thank God for his peace. Thank Him for His
- 5:04Speaker 3: peace that is divine. Thank God that you do not
- 5:09Speaker 3: have to live under fear. Thank Him for peace in
- 5:15Speaker 3: the healing process. Thank Jesus that in the middle of
- 5:20Speaker 3: your grief, you have His assurance. And thank Him that
- 5:27Speaker 3: you can trust that He will work all things out
- 5:30Speaker 3: for good. God is present and he is listening to you.
- 5:37Speaker 3: He cares for you and he longs to ease your suffering.
- 5:43Speaker 3: This is your moment to reach out to him. Ask
- 5:48Speaker 3: God to reassure your heart in this difficult time. Ask
- 5:53Speaker 3: him to grant you his peace that surpasses all understanding.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Peace that is greater than any circumstance or situation. Ask
- 6:04Speaker 3: the Holy Spirit to help you receive this peace and
- 6:07Speaker 3: to trust in His Word. Remember, God promised to give
- 6:13Speaker 3: you His peace. God's peace is greater than anything the
- 6:18Speaker 3: world has to offer. It prevails all obstacles and triumphs
- 6:24Speaker 3: over all fear. Have courage and know that you're not alone.
- 6:31Speaker 3: God is for you. and He will help you through this.
- 6:36Speaker 3: With God's peace, when it rains in our hearts, my friends,
- 6:40Speaker 3: you can overcome anything. Thank you for completing today's meditative
