  Speaker 1: help you grow stronger in your spiritual life. And so

  Speaker 1: each weekday morning at this time we go to God's

  Speaker 1: word together and just take a little time out of

  Speaker 1: our day to spend time with God, just the beginning
• 0:22
  Speaker 1: of a day spent in fellowship with Him, listening to Him,
• 0:26
  Speaker 1: speaking to Him, asking His involvement in our lives.

  Speaker 1: We're talking about becoming strong in the Lord this week.

  Speaker 1: Yesterday we saw that one of the ways of becoming
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: strong in your spiritual life is to learn to give
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: financially to the kingdom of God. God is not desperate
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: for your money, but God wants.
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: You to learn what is really important in life. He
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: wants you to invest in his kingdom, to say, I
• 1:01
  Speaker 1: am willing to sacrifice something for myself in order to
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: build the kingdom of God. I want to be involved
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: in eternal things, not just in things that will make
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: me happy for a little while and then will be gone.
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: You know,
• 1:18
  Speaker 1: When you give to God, really you're just using His
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: money in the way that He would want it used.
• 1:26
  Speaker 1: Everything we have was given to us by God. Your job,
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: whatever you inherited, the money you're making in your investments,
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: all of those things are from God, and we need
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: to learn to use that money in the way that
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: God would want us to use it. And the result
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: is God at work in our inner lives.
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: Today we come to Hebrews chapter 10, and it says
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: starting in verse 19, Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
• 2:01
  Speaker 1: by a new and living way which He inaugurated for
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: us through the veil that is His flesh.
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: Talking about when he died on the cross.
• 2:11
  Speaker 1: And since we have a great priest over the house
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: of God.
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: And let us hold fast the confession of our hope
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: And let us consider how to stimulate one another to
• 2:46
  Speaker 1: love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together,
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: and all the more as you see the day approaching.

  Speaker 1: The day when Christ returns.
• 3:04
  Speaker 1: And so one of the most important steps to becoming
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: strong in the Lord is to learn not to be
• 3:13
  Speaker 1: a solitary Christian.
• 3:15
  Speaker 1: Not to try and maintain your spiritual life by yourself,
• 3:20
  Speaker 1: and maybe you would say, well, I hang out with
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: other Christians quite a lot, but do you share together
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: in each other's spiritual lives? Do you talk about what
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: God is teaching you? Do you share what you're getting
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: out of your times in the Word? Do you ask
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: one another, how can I pray for you?
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: Do you support each other in the struggles of life?
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: Do you even know what the people you spend time
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: with are struggling with? Learn to get down to a
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: deeper level in your relationships with people and learn to
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: turn that time together into something that makes you strong
• 3:58
  Speaker 1: in the Lord.
