Latest / The Paulie & Tony Fusco Show / Why 49ers "fraud" Daejon Love is an INSPIRATION, Tua UNFAIRLY attacked & Dak loses AGAIN
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: On today's show, we'll tell you why the so-called 49ers imposter,
- 0:04Speaker 1: Dajon Love, should be an inspiration for all young athletes.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Let's go. Roll the intro. Coming to you live from Philly,
- 0:18Speaker 1: it's the number one rated Pauly and Tony Fusco show. Yo, yo, yo.
- 0:23Speaker 1: As always, Pauly Fusco here with Tony Fusco and Tony.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Yo.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Huge show today. The cowboy's making another foolish mistake. Of course.
- 0:32Speaker 1: To an underfire, even though he did nothing wrong. Nope.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And will once again defend Tiger Woods now that he's
- 0:38Speaker 1: no longer allowed to drive, which is stupid. But first,
- 0:41Speaker 1: we need to quickly address the elephant in the jungle here.
- 0:44Speaker 1: as they say, you know, YouTube used to have this
- 0:46Speaker 1: rule where you had to watch a video for 30
- 0:49Speaker 1: seconds to get a view, right? To get it counted
- 0:51Speaker 1: as a view. But now the rule is that if
- 0:54Speaker 1: you only watch one second, well, now that counts as
- 0:57Speaker 1: a view, which, you know, to me, Tony makes total sense,
- 1:00Speaker 1: you know, and also, you know, because we already had
- 1:03Speaker 1: a huge cure. Which is, as you know, the total
- 1:05Speaker 1: number of views and downloads across all their content.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Of course.
- 1:08Speaker 1: But now this is going to make our QM even bigger,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know, Tony?
- 1:12Speaker 3: You know, finally, people will begin to understand the real
- 1:16Speaker 3: volume of our QM. Because I've always said QM doesn't
- 1:21Speaker 3: always need to come in those longer streams. you know,
- 1:25Speaker 3: of your podcasts and content, but quick short bursts that
- 1:29Speaker 3: might only last a second or two, you know, especially
- 1:32Speaker 3: if you've been putting out a lot recently, you know,
- 1:36Speaker 3: putting out a lot of content.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Of course.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:38Speaker 1: But you know, we still must say, while we're glad
- 1:41Speaker 1: to see the boost in our QM, we also want
- 1:44Speaker 1: to make sure you stick around, you know, to watch
- 1:46Speaker 1: the whole show and not just a few seconds, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 1: because another important measurement in the content business is stickiness.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:54Speaker 1: That's how long you stick around the watch, right? Exactly. So,
- 1:57Speaker 1: you know, you want your cume to be full, but
- 2:00Speaker 1: also sticky, right, Tony? Exactly.
- 2:03Speaker 3: And that's important to appreciate because I know when I
- 2:07Speaker 3: tell people, specifically our female viewers, that our cume is
- 2:12Speaker 3: voluminous and very sticky. they kind of get this weird
- 2:15Speaker 3: look on their face. But I think that's because our
- 2:19Speaker 3: cum is so big and sticky that it's hard for
- 2:22Speaker 3: them to swallow.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That's the explanation there, Tony. Anyway, on that note, make sure,
- 2:27Speaker 1: you know, give us that long view. Listen to the
- 2:31Speaker 1: whole episode. Watch it. Subscribe, like, comment, and rate and
- 2:34Speaker 1: review on Apple Podcasts. And without further ado, let's get
- 2:38Speaker 1: right into our top story. All right, first out the gate,
- 2:44Speaker 1: a man named Dajon Love has been accused of posing
- 2:48Speaker 1: as a San Francisco 49ers player, allegedly convincing people he
- 2:52Speaker 1: was an NFL wide receiver, even though he never actually
- 2:55Speaker 1: played for the team. He was doing it, posting these
- 2:57Speaker 1: videos of him catching balls and whatnot, wearing a helmet. Now, Tony.
- 3:02Speaker 1: A lot of people that are coming out of the
- 3:04Speaker 1: woodwork criticizing this guy, but I think they're overlooking something
- 3:08Speaker 1: important here, don't you? Of course.
- 3:10Speaker 3: You want to know what I see when I look
- 3:13Speaker 3: at Dajon Love?
- 3:14Speaker 1: Initiative.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Every year, you've got these lazy, undrafted free agents just
- 3:20Speaker 3: sitting around and waiting for some NFL team to call them,
- 3:24Speaker 3: but not Dajon Love. No team drafted him or signed
- 3:29Speaker 3: him or even knew he existed. But he didn't let
- 3:33Speaker 3: that stop him. To me, that's called taking control of
- 3:37Speaker 3: your career. People are always telling young players, don't wait
- 3:42Speaker 3: for somebody to give you an opportunity.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Go out there and take it.
- 3:46Speaker 3: But now Dajon Love actually does that and everybody gets
- 3:50Speaker 3: all upset.
- 3:51Speaker 1: You know, you can't have it both ways. You can't
- 3:54Speaker 1: have it both ways. Great point, Stoney. And, you know,
- 3:56Speaker 1: another thing, too, everybody's criticizing Dajon Love for deceiving all
- 4:01Speaker 1: these people. Well, to me, that just shows his skill set,
- 4:05Speaker 1: you know? Yeah, I mean, exactly. What's the entire position
- 4:08Speaker 1: of wide receiver in every position in the NFL based on?
- 4:12Speaker 1: Disguising your game plan, of course.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And nobody's better at that than Dajon Love. If you
- 4:20Speaker 3: ask me, I think the 49ers should run with this
- 4:24Speaker 3: great concept that Dajon Love has given them. Imagine you
- 4:28Speaker 3: have 53 Dajon Loves. The 49ers could create an entire
- 4:33Speaker 3: separate team made of 49ers imposters. You know, then they
- 4:38Speaker 3: could post videos of that fake team practicing with Dajon
- 4:42Speaker 3: Love at wide receiver. Then the other teams would see
- 4:46Speaker 3: this footage of the team practicing on a beach and think, wow,
- 4:51Speaker 3: the 49ers really suck and don't know how to play football.
- 4:55Speaker 3: But then come game day. and the real 49ers take
- 4:59Speaker 3: the field, boom, surprised, full Judea Jean love style.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You know, it's just a terrific slam dunk idea, Tony,
- 5:07Speaker 1: when you think about it. Thank you. Well, on the
- 5:10Speaker 1: subject of terrific ideas, boy, do we have one for you.
- 5:13Speaker 1: A new product that Tony and I are launching, and
- 5:18Speaker 1: we're going to do a word for it right now.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Are you worried that the NFL player you are currently
- 5:24Speaker 1: dating may have not actually played in the NFL? Then
- 5:29Speaker 1: do we have the app for you, Pro Football Player Match.
- 5:33Speaker 1: You just use this app, you sign up, and you
- 5:36Speaker 1: say the name of the man you are currently dating,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and our extensive database will tell you if this man
- 5:43Speaker 1: has or has not played in the NFL. Here's a demonstration.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Please say the name.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Of the NFL player you are currently dating.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Fernando Carmona. Confirmed. Fernando Carmona plays right guard for the
- 6:01Speaker 1: Tennessee Titans. Now watch this example too.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Please say the name of the NFL player you are
- 6:08Speaker 4: currently dating.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Jaquez Prime. Alert. Alert. Jaquez Prime is a busboy. So
- 6:20Speaker 1: there you go. You see it in action. Get that
- 6:22Speaker 1: peace of mind and get the assurance that the man
- 6:25Speaker 1: you are dating is an actual NFL player. Download the
- 6:29Speaker 1: pro football player match now because it literally is the
- 6:33Speaker 1: only way to find out. If a man plays at
- 6:36Speaker 1: the NFL or not, it's the only way. All right. Uh,
- 6:40Speaker 1: let's move on to other stories. Uh, the Dallas Cowboys, well,
- 6:43Speaker 1: they cut backup quarterback, Joe Milton. Uh, and then they
- 6:47Speaker 1: brought him back and then they put him on the
- 6:49Speaker 1: practice squad.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Yup.
- 6:50Speaker 1: You know, last week on the show, as you all know,
- 6:52Speaker 1: we presented overwhelming statistical analysis that shows that Joe Milton
- 6:57Speaker 1: is the better quarterback than Dak. Well, no, because the
- 7:00Speaker 1: Cowboys cut Joe Milton. People are saying that this means
- 7:04Speaker 1: Dak won the QB competition and Joe Milton lost. Tony,
- 7:08Speaker 1: your thoughts. Are you kidding me? Dak lost.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Dak Prescott has to spend another entire season embarrassing himself
- 7:17Speaker 3: as the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, Joe Milton
- 7:21Speaker 3: gets to go to the practice squad, which means he
- 7:24Speaker 3: doesn't have to play in all the games that the
- 7:27Speaker 3: Cowboys are guaranteed.
- 7:28Speaker 1: To mostly lose. He's never lost.
- 7:32Speaker 3: He finishes the season at an undefeated 2-0 with the
- 7:37Speaker 3: Cowboys atop the NFC East preseason standings. That's literally going
- 7:43Speaker 3: out on top. Great points all around, Tony. Thank you.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Talking about another quarterback who no one seems to understand,
- 7:51Speaker 1: Falcons quarterback Tua. Tua. He's getting mocked online after his
- 7:57Speaker 1: own Instagram account left a supportive comment on one of
- 8:02Speaker 1: his posts. Apparently, the comment was supposed to come from
- 8:05Speaker 1: a different account, but came from his own account with
- 8:08Speaker 1: the handle TuaMan. And the comment said, we're so proud
- 8:12Speaker 1: of you, you got this heart symbol. Now, Donnie, people
- 8:16Speaker 1: are calling this embarrassing for Tua. I don't see it
- 8:19Speaker 1: that way. Do you? No, not at all.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Isn't it the quarterback's job to support every player on
- 8:26Speaker 3: the roster?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Well, Tua's on the roster. What's he supposed to do?
- 8:30Speaker 3: Support everybody else but not himself? That's terrible leadership. Also,
- 8:35Speaker 3: you have to remember, Tua's taken so many hits that
- 8:39Speaker 3: it's highly probable that his brain literally has been split
- 8:43Speaker 3: in half. So what you're seeing might just be one
- 8:46Speaker 3: side of his brain communicating with the other side of
- 8:50Speaker 3: his brain. Like, hey, Tua's right brain. Good job. You
- 8:54Speaker 3: got this.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Signed, your friend, left brain. Just valuable football and also
- 9:00Speaker 1: scientific perspective there, Tony. Thank you. And to an annoying
- 9:04Speaker 1: story out of the NFL, the Rams. Aaron Donald has
- 9:09Speaker 1: decided to come out of retirement and return to the
- 9:12Speaker 1: NFL after being away from football for two years. Everybody
- 9:16Speaker 1: seems thrilled about this, Tony, but I'm not. I have
- 9:19Speaker 1: a real problem with what Aaron Donald's doing here.
- 9:22Speaker 3: I think it's disgusting because what kind of precedent are
- 9:25Speaker 3: we setting here? You retire and then two years later
- 9:29Speaker 3: you can just come back and take somebody's job from them?
- 9:32Speaker 1: It's a very slippery slope.
- 9:34Speaker 3: You know, first it's Aaron Donald, then tomorrow you're at
- 9:38Speaker 3: your job sitting at your desk and some 82-year-old guy
- 9:42Speaker 3: walks in and says, hey, I had this job back
- 9:44Speaker 3: in 1987, but I'm back now. You can go sell
- 9:47Speaker 3: vacuum cleaners somewhere else. And now you're unemployed. Who's celebrating that?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Nobody. All right, moving on. College football. Clemson coach Dabo Slade. Sweeney, whatever. Anyway,
- 10:01Speaker 1: he says it's embarrassing that these college football teams are
- 10:05Speaker 1: now taking players who are already in the NFL. Like
- 10:09Speaker 1: LSU is trying to do.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Tony.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't understand what this guy is complaining about, do you? No,
- 10:15Speaker 1: what's he even talking about?
- 10:17Speaker 3: The NFL's been taking players from college football for 180 years. Now,
- 10:23Speaker 3: college football takes two players back and suddenly he's upset?
- 10:27Speaker 1: That's called leveling the playing field.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Frankly, if I'm LSU, I'd be recruiting more NFL players.
- 10:35Speaker 3: And you know, if Joe Burrow really wants to win
- 10:38Speaker 3: a title, shouldn't he go back to LSU?
- 10:42Speaker 1: Great point, Tony. And you know, another thing here where
- 10:44Speaker 1: I think the NCAA is getting themselves into trouble. What's
- 10:48Speaker 1: the rule about players who only pretended to be in
- 10:52Speaker 1: the NFL?
- 10:53Speaker 3: You know, can they go back? Yeah, that's a great question.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I was wondering the same thing. Is the NCAA going
- 10:59Speaker 3: to block people like Dajon Love? Because personally, I think
- 11:04Speaker 3: Dajon Love would be a valuable addition to a college
- 11:07Speaker 3: team because so many players dream about making the NFL.
- 11:12Speaker 1: And Dajon Love lived that dream. Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Technically, it was a dream he made up in his head.
- 11:19Speaker 3: But still, he lived that dream.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Yep.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And you can't take that away from him. But no. Unfortunately,
- 11:25Speaker 1: what you can take away apparently is a Tiger Woods
- 11:28Speaker 1: driver's license and Yeah, exactly. He's been wronged and we're
- 11:31Speaker 1: going to defend him on the show for another time.
- 11:35Speaker 1: And we're going to do that right after this break.
- 11:38Speaker 1: All right, we're back from break. If you saw the news,
- 11:41Speaker 1: Tiger Woods, after that whole rollover car incident he has, well,
- 11:45Speaker 1: he's now had his driver's license suspended for five whole years. Unbelievable. Exactly.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I agree, Tony. And, you know, when this happened a
- 11:54Speaker 1: few months ago, you know, we came out and we
- 11:56Speaker 1: defended Tiger Woods. We explained why this is not a
- 12:00Speaker 1: terrible thing and people are blaming him when they shouldn't
- 12:03Speaker 1: blame him.
- 12:03Speaker 2: No.
- 12:04Speaker 1: What we decided to do, we're going to play that video.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Here we go. Cue that up. This is from a
- 12:11Speaker 1: few months ago after the incident, us defending Tiger Woods
- 12:14Speaker 1: and our special report on it. Play it. Tiger in trouble.
- 12:19Speaker 1: All right. So, you know, the news, Tiger was charged
- 12:23Speaker 1: with a DUI after his car rolled over. And, you know,
- 12:26Speaker 1: it was after he clipped some guy in a truck
- 12:29Speaker 1: who was going to drive away. Whatever. You know, everyone's
- 12:31Speaker 1: rushing to blame the guy who hit the other guy. Exactly.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That's just the media recklessly coming to conclusions. Talk about reckless.
- 12:42Speaker 1: They don't think these things through. Exactly. You know, they're
- 12:45Speaker 1: claiming Tyga is a bad driver. Tony, what's the one
- 12:48Speaker 1: thing we all know about Tyga? He's ugly. He's a golfer.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Of course.
- 12:53Speaker 3: And what do we know about golfers? They're used to
- 12:57Speaker 3: driving golf carts. You know, Tiger probably got in the car,
- 13:03Speaker 3: pressed the pedal down, thinking that the car was going
- 13:06Speaker 3: to go five miles per hour max. You know, like
- 13:10Speaker 3: any normal golfer would.
- 13:11Speaker 1: We've seen this before.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Scotty Scheffler probably thought he was going to pull away
- 13:17Speaker 3: from the security guard at a speed of one mile
- 13:20Speaker 3: per hour because he thought he was in a golf
- 13:23Speaker 3: cart too.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Exactly. That's what I said then. I'll say it again.
- 13:28Speaker 1: People aren't asking, well, where was Tiger coming from? Well,
- 13:32Speaker 1: he's a golfer, so he was probably coming from one
- 13:35Speaker 1: of these she-she country clubs, right? What do they have there? valets.
- 13:40Speaker 1: So he probably went up to the valet and said,
- 13:42Speaker 1: give me my cart. And this valet, because he's an idiot,
- 13:46Speaker 1: thought he said car. I gave him a car, you know?
- 13:49Speaker 1: There you go.
- 13:50Speaker 3: You know, must have been a total misunderstanding. And you know,
- 13:53Speaker 3: when you think about it, He was in Florida, which
- 13:57Speaker 3: is basically one big golf course. You know, Florida is
- 14:02Speaker 3: more golf course than it is state. So Tiger must
- 14:05Speaker 3: have thought he was driving a golf cart on a
- 14:09Speaker 3: golf course and then realized, no, he was on a street.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Perfectly reasonable explanation. And, you know, he said that when
- 14:17Speaker 1: the accident happened, that he was on the phone. Well,
- 14:21Speaker 1: what if Tiger was on the phone with his caddy? Exactly.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And the caddy said something like, you need to work
- 14:28Speaker 1: on hitting a driver. Well, Tiger was just following the
- 14:32Speaker 1: caddy's orders as any good golfer would. So clearly you
- 14:35Speaker 1: got to blame the caddy, you know?
- 14:38Speaker 3: 100%. And you know what else you blame the caddy for?
- 14:41Speaker 3: If a caddy can help pick the right golf club,
- 14:44Speaker 3: then why isn't the caddy helping Tiger pick the right car?
- 14:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 3: You know, clearly Range Rover is the wrong way to go.
- 14:52Speaker 3: You got to go with something like one of those
- 14:55Speaker 3: automatic self-driving cars or at the very least a Volvo or,
- 15:01Speaker 3: and you know, if not a Volvo, then what about
- 15:04Speaker 3: a tank? A, he can afford it. And two, everyone
- 15:09Speaker 3: would see him coming and get out of the way.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And three, you know, it wouldn't roll over.
- 15:15Speaker 3: And four, well, he'd be standing with the troops because,
- 15:20Speaker 3: you know, he'd literally be standing with the troops in
- 15:23Speaker 3: the tank.
- 15:25Speaker 1: All great points there, Tony. And you know, in this
- 15:28Speaker 1: whole blame game with the media, how come I've never
- 15:32Speaker 1: heard one person blame the guy driving the truck that
- 15:36Speaker 1: got in Tiger Woods' way? Exactly. You know, if you've
- 15:39Speaker 1: got Tiger Woods behind you, you've got to let him
- 15:42Speaker 1: play through. Got to. Whether that's on a golf course
- 15:45Speaker 1: or a residential street, doesn't matter. You think you got
- 15:49Speaker 1: more important places to be than Tiger Woods? Who do
- 15:52Speaker 1: you think you are? Exactly. And you know who else
- 15:55Speaker 1: I blame? That TGF.
- 15:58Speaker 3: You know that dumb simulated golf show where they hit
- 16:01Speaker 3: the ball into the screen like a bunch of wusses.
- 16:04Speaker 3: He was playing that TGF right before the accident. you
- 16:09Speaker 3: know maybe when he was driving the car he thought
- 16:12Speaker 3: he was still in the simulation like the other day
- 16:16Speaker 3: i put on one of those meta head quest things
- 16:19Speaker 3: and i couldn't tell you know reality from the headset
- 16:24Speaker 3: and since then i've been all confused like am i
- 16:27Speaker 3: playing simulated ping pong right now or am i doing
- 16:30Speaker 3: a show i can't tell the difference You know, seriously,
- 16:35Speaker 3: is this the real show or or is this taking
- 16:38Speaker 3: place right now in my meta head quest?
- 16:40Speaker 1: I really can't tell. Don't worry, Tony. You're in real
- 16:45Speaker 1: life right now. But I can see you're making the
- 16:47Speaker 1: point that how confusing it must have been for Tiger Woods.
- 16:50Speaker 1: You know, exactly. You know, the other the other person
- 16:54Speaker 1: that I blame you, Tony, and I know this is controversial,
- 16:58Speaker 1: but I have to blame the cop. who pulled him
- 17:00Speaker 1: over yeah because you know he asked tiger to walk
- 17:03Speaker 1: in a straight line and then tiger was apparently wobbling
- 17:07Speaker 1: around and unable to do it yeah because the guy has.
- 17:10Speaker 4: A metal leg exactly and you know we've all seen
- 17:14Speaker 4: this before of course i'm talking about terminator 2 You know,
- 17:19Speaker 4: there's a part where the T-1000 just had his leg
- 17:22Speaker 4: blown off.
- 17:23Speaker 3: And, you know, because he's made of liquid metal, it
- 17:26Speaker 3: first shapes the new leg into a kind of metal
- 17:29Speaker 3: pole kind of leg.
- 17:31Speaker 1: And even the T-1000 had trouble walking. So, you know.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Say no more, Tony. Makes total sense. And, you know,
- 17:41Speaker 1: the other thing that I've been thinking about in this
- 17:43Speaker 1: whole thing, isn't it suspicious to anyone that this crash
- 17:47Speaker 1: happened right before the Masters? Good point. You know, that
- 17:51Speaker 1: way when Tiger Woods, you know, could easily wait in
- 17:54Speaker 1: his sleep. Yeah. How do we know this isn't some,
- 17:56Speaker 1: you know, Tanya Harding, Jeff Kalugi kind of thing? You know,
- 17:59Speaker 1: we don't. Where was Phil Mickelson when this happened? Where
- 18:02Speaker 1: was Scotty Scheffler when this happened? How come nobody's reporting that?
- 18:06Speaker 1: You know, in fact, I went and looked this up, Don.
- 18:08Speaker 1: It turns out at the time of Tiger's accident, there
- 18:12Speaker 1: was a very highly suspicious number of golfers in Florida.
- 18:17Speaker 1: In fact, there were more golfers in that state at
- 18:21Speaker 1: that time than there were anywhere in the world. But
- 18:23Speaker 1: underreported by the media, you know.
- 18:25Speaker 3: I was thinking the same thing. And why hasn't the
- 18:28Speaker 3: media asked Phil Mickelson about that, you know, or Scotty
- 18:32Speaker 3: Scheffler about that?
- 18:33Speaker 1: You know, that silence is very suspicious. The silence says everything, Tony. Exactly. And,
- 18:40Speaker 1: you know, the other thing that people just, you know,
- 18:43Speaker 1: because they get so wrong here. They're saying, well, Tiger
- 18:46Speaker 1: Woods is stepping away from golf. You know, he made
