Hello, I am Shauna here with Olivia.
• 0:10
And this is your PCJ Pop.
• 0:14
As I mentioned in a recent Pop,
• 0:17
I have been rewatching all of the Marvel movies
• 0:20
that are on the Road to Doomsday
• 0:23
  according to the internet/Disney+.
• 0:27
So I recently rewatched a Marvel movie
• 0:30
that I really liked that I think more people need to see,
• 0:35
called Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
• 0:39
So this movie is a 2021 superhero film
• 0:43
based on Marvel comics featuring the character Shang-Chi.
• 0:47
It stars Simu Liu as Shang-Chi.
• 0:51
Benadict Wong is also in it.
• 0:53
  Awkwafina, Michelle Yeoh, Ben Kingsley.
• 0:57
  This movie is amazing.
• 1:00
It has some of the best, like, hand-to-hand combat scenes
• 1:05
that I've seen in a Marvel movie.
• 1:07
There's this scene where he is fighting on a city bus.
• 1:12
And it almost looks like a one shot, but it's not.
• 1:14
But it's just so well done and so badass.
• 1:18
And like Seemu Liu is so handsome and charming
• 1:23
  and funny.
• 1:25
And then Aquafina plays his best friend in the movie
• 1:27
  and she's also hilarious.
• 1:30
The movie definitely was like an exploration
• 1:34
  and representation of Asian culture
• 1:36
that we haven't seen in Marvel movies
• 1:39
or in like a lot of superhero movies before that
• 1:42
  or really since that.
• 1:44
  - Wasn't there a big controversy around it
• 1:47
  or was it just racism?
• 1:48
  - Honestly, just racism.
• 1:50
I mean, there's a lot to be said about like,
• 1:53
  internet trolls taking down movies
• 1:56
that star people of color or women,
• 1:59
especially if they have the audacity
• 2:01
  to be superhero films.
• 2:03
I got really great critic reviews
• 2:05
and like anybody that I have talked to who saw it,
• 2:07
  thought it was amazing.
• 2:09
And that it's really sad it never got like a sequel.
• 2:12
But Shang-Chi is going to be in Doomsday.
• 2:15
  - Okay. - Fine.
• 2:16
  - Yes.
• 2:17
So I am definitely gonna recommend
• 2:20
if you are a fan of just action movies,
• 2:22
if you're a fan of martial arts movies,
• 2:24
if you are looking forward to Doomsday,
• 2:27
definitely rewatch or watch for the first time.
• 2:30
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,
• 2:34
it is now streaming on Disney+.
• 2:37
And that will be your PCJ Pop.
• 2:40
