- 0:23Time to leave your worries outside and join us here in the treehouse. I'm
- 0:29Dan, O'Malley, joined by tree Trendholme and our very special friend in today's
- 0:35guest, the rock and Roll attorney Ever Newton. Hello, Everett, Hey,
- 0:39what's up, guys. Good to hear from you and d Well.
- 0:45I don't see you right now, but it's good to hear your sweet voice.
- 0:47Well, I don't know about the sweet part. I'm glad. I'm
- 0:53glad to have you in the treehouse. Good to be here. As always.
- 0:57It's been a minute. So in the the last episode ever we had,
- 1:03we had our friend rash Arma on and I'm still in town by the
- 1:07way, so you and I still need to go grab sushi. I've not
- 1:11forgotten, but there was I was. I was telling Raj and Trey a
- 1:17few of the things I have not missed about living state side. There are
- 1:19a number of things I do miss don't get me wrong, you know,
- 1:23only having to go to one grocery store to get everything on my list and
- 1:30a few other things. But I forgot there were a couple of things I
- 1:36have not missed about state Side living, or really, I guess North Texas
- 1:42specific living and one of them is construction slash landscaping crews making ungodly amounts of
- 1:53noise at seven thirty in the morning. I don't have that in my house.
- 1:59It's Thomas. No. No, you have chickens crowing starting at the
- 2:04crack of dawn. Yeah, but we have storm windows that muffle out a
- 2:07lot of those chicken noises. When you stayed at our house. When you
- 2:12stayed at our house a few months ago, did any chicken ever wake you
- 2:15up? Did any rooster crow ever rustle you from your slumber? You know,
- 2:21I can't say specifically, but no, it did not. There there
- 2:24is. Okay, but Daniel will let me ask you this question. Dany
- 2:29you ten, are you have you been sleeping a little bit later since you've
- 2:31been Stateside? Yes? But okay, because I think it's because you're there's
- 2:39some subconscious thing when you start hearing chickens are roosters crowing that you get up.
- 2:44It is not a chicken related It is not a chicken related thing at
- 2:46all, mister Turnholm. In fact, what it is it's twofold number one.
- 2:51The blackout curtains we have at our airbnb in Dallas right now are actually
- 2:55pretty good compared to the curtains I've gotten Saint Thomas. So it's some sunlight
- 3:00pours in in Saint Thomas very early, by the way, and stuff wakes
- 3:07me up. Drawback of living in Paradise is you know that sun comes over
- 3:10the water and floge flooge your bedroom window. Yeah, it's a real bitch,
- 3:15you know. But also you don't hear rooster's growing. Well, I
- 3:21don't hear them anyway. The other reason, the other reason I think it's
- 3:23because I'm sleeping a little bit later here is because I think I think I'm
- 3:29getting the real melatonin here versus the island melatonin. It's more of a question
- 3:34mark as far as the dosage, Like it says five milligrams, but it
- 3:37might be more like one, whereas like the five milligrams I got at CVS
- 3:42or Walgreens the other day here feels more like a ten. I mean,
- 3:46it's like there many a couple of times I've had, like I think it
- 3:47was yesterday morning, I had the sleep crud in my eyes so bad I
- 3:53had to heal them open on my left eyelid. Yeah, that counterfeit and
- 3:58melotonin. It's no joke. And you know, it's it's it's it's a
- 4:04somewhat of a concern living, you know, on an island. Is some
- 4:09of the stuff you get. You wonder, Okay, how's the efficacy of
- 4:12some of these medicines, especially because the melotonin that I've been buying lately,
- 4:18So I've been getting most of my over the counter medicines from Kmart and it's
- 4:30hard to argue at the price. I mean, I don't know if it's
- 4:31a blue light special every day, but my melotonin at the at there's two
- 4:36kmarts on Saint Thomas. The one I go to the melotonin costs like four
- 4:41dollars. That's probably because it's you know, there's a kmart. There's a
- 4:45kmart warehouse somewhere in the state side because they've all closed here, you know.
- 4:49I mean, your melotonin might be ten years old, but yeah,
- 4:51it's cheap, or it may not even be melotonin. I don't know what.
- 4:57I don't know what it is, but I know that it does help
- 5:00a little bit, but it doesn't seem to be as strong as the Texas
- 5:02melatonin. So you're gonna pack a separate suitcase filled with nothing but melatonin to
- 5:06take back with you. I've actually considered it. Yeah, I've actually considered
- 5:13it greatly. You know, there are some things we are like, um,
- 5:17now we're planning on taking back with us type of a situation, and
- 5:21you know if if you know, certain things are cheaper here than yeah,
- 5:26we're gonna you know, kind of stuff a suitcase a little bit. So
- 5:30that's a no. What do you mean that's a no? Well, you
- 5:33said, well, I'm gonna try to It sounded very wishy washy. Well
- 5:40I haven't. I haven't started shopping yet for the return trip. We still
- 5:43don't go back for another or for another couple of weeks. So I'm not.
- 5:46I'm not. It's not front of mine just yet. I think there's
- 5:48a zero chance that you go back to Saint Thomas with a suitcase full of
- 5:53melatonin tray, a suitcase full. No, but you know, hell if
- 5:59nothing else, Dan, I have someone I'll give you to take back because
- 6:01I can't take it. So you can't take melatonin. It doesn't work on
- 6:05me. In factually, it keeps me up. It's the most frustrating thing
- 6:09ever. Is this what happens when you stop drinking. It's like certain things
- 6:13that are supposed to do that are supposed to have one reaction have the opposite
- 6:16or something. Melatonin has never worked on me. And melatonin and what was
- 6:24what was the original sleeping pill that made everyone nuts? GHB. No,
- 6:30ambient. Ambient doesn't work on me either, So it just leaves me in
- 6:34this zombie like state where I can't sleep and just laying there. It's it
- 6:40sucks, I do know, and no trust me. I've I've flew,
- 6:46flew and from flying from Dallas to London and uh yeah, they're especially going
- 6:54there. I remember, Yeah, ambien and alcohol and I still couldn't sleep.
- 6:58But man, ambient mess is ambien still a thing because I haven't heard
- 7:03anyone. I've not heard any recent ambience stories in years. And they used
- 7:08to be what it was it the it was the mid two thousands. Ambient
- 7:13was like everyone was trying ambient. If anyone had any problems sleeping, boom,
- 7:15just go take some ambient. The problem with it was you might be
- 7:19asleep, but then at some point you would quasi wake up and then do
- 7:27stuff in the middle of the night that you didn't remember because your conscious self
- 7:30was asleep. Yeah. I had a client in a DBI case one time
- 7:34who got up in the middle of the night, left her husband behind,
- 7:39still in her panties, got in her car and started driving down thirty and
- 7:43got pulled over. Well, this was I feel like I've heard way worse.
- 7:47Well, and then she pulled out an axe and murdered several people.
- 7:54All right, I would be bad. Okay, did you get her off
- 7:58of that that ticket? No, that's it was a DWI and he was
- 8:01clearly intoxicated. And yeah, well it's it's kind of hard to argue that
- 8:05case in court when they show the video and she's not wearing any pants,
- 8:09yeah, and acting a little bit off, But I mean, I have
- 8:13no doubt of her story. Unfortunately, it's not a legal defense because at
- 8:18that point it still is driving under the influence. Speaking of which, a
- 8:22quick question Everett, for you as the Rock and Roll attorney. Is there
- 8:26really a difference between d WI and d UI, Because I hear some people
- 8:31will say it. You know, it's like, obviously DWI would be alcohol,
- 8:35DUI would be something else. Is there really a difference or is it
- 8:39just a matter of people just using the two and interchanging them. Well,
- 8:43it's a good question, and the answer is it depends that's a short answer.
- 8:46The long answer is what we call DWI, some other states referred to
- 8:52as DUI. But to make it more confusing, we also have the offense
- 8:56of DUI, which in Texas is if you are under the age of twenty
- 9:03one and you are found to have a detectable amount of alcohol in your system,
- 9:07that's it's a Class C misdemeanor. And the reason for that laws if
- 9:11you're under twenty one, you're not supposed to drink at all. So if
- 9:15you're drinking at all and driving, that's an offense. Whereas if you're over
- 9:20twenty one in Texas you can drink, you just can't drink to the point
- 9:22of intoxication. So it's not automatically offense to have had something to drink and
- 9:28then drive, but again only if you're intoxicated. So we have DUIs which
- 9:35are different from DUIs, and other states we have dwis, which are typically
- 9:39analogous to DUIs in other states. So fating stuff, But well, no,
- 9:46I mean, it's I ask you because I'm genuinely curious, and that's
- 9:50That's one of the things that makes certain laws difficult to know to understand,
- 9:54is because different states have different versions of whether what are supposed to be same
- 10:00or similar laws, and that adds to the confusion. Yeah, absolutely it
- 10:03does, so Everett, if they if they suspected, let's say you were
- 10:09taking a prescription medication or something, and pulled you over because they thought,
- 10:15you know, you were driving erratically, would that fall under DWI or would
- 10:20they charge you with a DUI. Well, that would be a DWI.
- 10:22You can only get a DUI in Texas if you're under twenty one, okay,
- 10:28yeah, and have a detectable amount of alcohol in your system. So
- 10:31yeah, any any offense that involves impairment is going to be a DWI irrespective.
- 10:39So if you're under twenty one and the police are alleging not only that
- 10:43you had a detectable amount of alcohol, but that you were in fact,
- 10:48at the next level i e. Intoxicated, they would then charge you with
- 10:52DWI, as they would someone over twenty one who's alleged to be intoxicated.
- 10:58I for one, still feel I don't want to say, you know,
- 11:01blessed, because that seems weird to you know, to put on the lord
- 11:05umuh, fortunate, lucky, stupid as well to have never to have never
- 11:13been popped for a DWY because I've had I've, like like most people that
- 11:18that have had any amount of alcohol in their lives, at some point,
- 11:22you know you've driven and you shouldn't have. And in my case, I've
- 11:24done it a handful of times where I shouldn't have. Where I'm you know,
- 11:28you know, I'm I'm you know, one eyeing it down seventy five
- 11:31and I don't know what the correlation would be because I didn't have a you
- 11:35know, a breathalyzer in front of me. But the level of drunkenness that
- 11:39I remember a couple of times where I should not have been driving was how
- 11:43many lanes I'm trying to stay in the middle of So like like at the
- 11:48time, let's go back to early two thousands, going south on seventy five
- 11:54from Forest Lane, get on the highway at Forest Lane going south on seventy
- 11:56five towards downtown Dallas, and there was already I think four lanes at that
- 12:03time on seventy five. But the other problem was I saw eight lanes,
- 12:11so I'm trying to stay in like the middle, the middle two. So
- 12:16that's how I was able to gauge. Okay, this is how This is
- 12:18how bad I am, because they're supposed to be four lanes, but I'm
- 12:22now seeing eight. So I don't know if that meant I was two over
- 12:26or you know, whatever it was, because again I didn't have a breathalyzer.
- 12:30But obviously that's bad. So in your drunken state, they finally finished
- 12:35seventy five. That's how drunk I was. Dre you're listening to the Treehouse
- 12:43visitors online at Treehouse on Air dot com. Let's get Rodney and into the
- 12:54Treehouse right now his phone number nine seven two five fifty two D the website
- 13:00Rodney Anderson dot com. Let's jump right into it. Rodney, can you
- 13:03give us, let's say, the top four or five reasons people are wanting
- 13:07to move right now? Well, I'm going to give you some unusual reasons
- 13:09that we never talk about. Number one is commute time. As we have
- 13:13had over a million people moved to the DFW Metroplex and to the state of
- 13:18Texas. The one thing that hasn't fixed is the roads, and so traffic
- 13:22is getting unbearable. And I've had so many people moving lately that for mental
- 13:28health reasons, which is another reason, but because of drive times. I
- 13:31had a customer just close. They lived in this Salina prosper area and they
- 13:35worked at love Field and their commute was an hour and a half one way.
- 13:41And think about that, three hours one way. What does that do
- 13:43for you. Another gentleman I just talked to just the other day, he
- 13:48was moving from Fourney because he lived in Louisville and his commute was over an
- 13:52hour and a half as well. And it's like, we got a one
- 13:54year old baby, we got to make sure we're close. Another reason why
- 13:58people are moving is to be closer to kids school. When you have an
- 14:01hour an hour and a half commute one way to school, nurse calls and
- 14:05says, hey, you're kids sick. We need you to come pick him
- 14:09up right away, him or her. Then guess what, you know?
- 14:11Those are things dan that get in people way. Gas prices, tolls,
- 14:16just the unusual thing that a lot of people are saying, I've got to
- 14:20move closer. I need to be closer to family. I need to be
- 14:22closer because I've had medical conditions or something like that. So we just invite
- 14:26people to get pre approved up front. Let us talk about financing options that
- 14:31are available for you. What type of loan is best for you. How
- 14:35do we structure the perfect loan for you to get your finances under control?
- 14:39And most importantly, it's important that you get pre approved up front because sellers
- 14:43want to know are you for real? And most sellers and realtors will not
- 14:46accept an offered in without a pre approval letter from a quality lender. And
- 14:50you also want to make sure you get that quality lender. That's why we
- 14:54recommend Rodney Anderson here in the Treehouse. He will get it done for you.
- 14:56Nine fifty two hundred nine nine eight fifty two hundred, or of course
- 15:01Rodney Anderson dot com and if Landing is an equal housing lender three thousand,
- 15:05Village Parkway, Suite four hundred, Higland Village, Texas and MLIST two three
- 15:09two nine. Visit us online at Treehouse OnAir dot com. You're in the

- 15:24Treehouse is brought to you by Cooke DFW Roofing and Restoration. You know what
- 15:30makes Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration so great? Well, Number one, you
- 15:33get a free roof inspection. Number two, they're really good at what they
- 15:37do. And number three, let's say the absolute worst thing happens. You
- 15:41get a piece of hail so large it goes straight through your roof and right
- 15:45into your bathroom. It's like a big meteor just crashes right through the whole
- 15:50damn thing and destroys your roof all the way down into your bathroom. Your
- 15:52bathroom is screwed up as well. Well. What Cooke DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 15:56will do does not only fix your roof, they'll also redo the bathroom.
- 16:02That's the restoration part of their business. Most roofing companies, they'll fix the
- 16:06roof and then they're gone. Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration will take care of
- 16:08your stuff from the roof all the way down if that damage goes below the
- 16:14roof into your home. A pretty cool deal. Give him mccaf for your
- 16:18free roof inspection. Eight three three Cook DFW. That's eight three three Cook
- 16:22DFW or the website Cook dfw dot com. The other thing, evert that,
- 16:26in addition to construction crews and lawn crews that I at like seven thirty
- 16:30in the morning, that I did not miss about, you know, living
- 16:33in Dallas, living in North Texas in general. The other thing I have
- 16:37not missed is the is the goddamn heat we have. We have that,
- 16:44yeah, I mean it's look, it's been hot in Texas before. I
- 16:51lived in Texas for you know, thirty years, over thirty years, and
- 16:55it really really is a thing where if you go away from a place,
- 17:00even for a little while, and you come back, you have like I
- 17:04feel like, I feel like I've adjusted a little bit so to to my
- 17:10new climate. So coming back to a hot Texas summer, it really does
- 17:14feel a little bit hotter because I'm not as used to it as I used
- 17:18to be. I feel like I'm melting when I go outside. Well,
- 17:21yeah, I mean a heat wave in the islands as we in the nineties,
- 17:25Yeah, low nineties, like who is ninety two? And the heat
- 17:29in decks might might get on a really bad day during a really bad heat
- 17:33wave. It did, like a month or so ago, the heat in
- 17:37decks was like a hundred. But you still have a trade wind to cool
- 17:41things off. It still feels fine in the shade in Texas right now when
- 17:45the high is one hundred and three, the heat in decks is a thousand,
- 17:51and you can try to, you know, hide in the shade a
- 17:55little bit, but it's still hot in the shade. It's oppressive. Yes,
- 18:00it is an oppressive heat, so much so that I even learned what
- 18:03the heat dome is this year. And I don't think i'd ever heard of
- 18:07the heat dome. I don't know if they had always existed in meteorology and
- 18:11they just never really told us, you know, viewers about it or listeners
- 18:17about it, you know, as far as the weather guy's on TV,
- 18:18whether it's you know, Delkas or Henry or Andrews or whatever. I don't
- 18:22remember hearing about a heat dome until till like a few weeks ago. What
- 18:27is a heat dome? Thank you, I'm glad you asked. A heat
- 18:32dome occurs when stationary high pressure with warm air combines with warmer than usual air
- 18:37in the Gulf of Mexico and heat from the sun that is nearly directly overhead.
- 18:41That's according to Texas State climatologist John Nielsen Gammon. He goes on to
- 18:45say, by the time we get into the middle of summer, it's hard
- 18:48to get the hot air aloft. If it's going to happen. This is
- 18:52the time of year, it will. He also said July and August don't
- 18:56have as much sunlight because the sun is retreating from the summer. Soul Just
- 19:00why can't we get the heat aloft heat rises. I don't understand that either.
- 19:06I guess it's because that's a hang on, the heat from the sun
- 19:08and the combines with warmer air hang on. I'm sciencing by the time we
- 19:15get to the middle of summer, it's hard to get the hot air aloft.
- 19:18I guess because it's so hot it doesn't actually go anywhere. Yeah,
- 19:22there's no colder air that's pushing it up. Yeah. Or perhaps it's just
- 19:26hot all the way to purple. Could be it just doesn't matter. It's
- 19:30like, you know, you know, like like space is, you know,
- 19:32is is. I don't don't know what the exact temperature of space is,
- 19:34but it's very, very cold. So basically it's all the way up,
- 19:38you know, to where the billionaires fly in their space planes. Um,
- 19:41it's hot from all the way they're down. I guess that's the heat
- 19:45dome. Can we abolish the heat dome into constitutional amendment? You know what?
- 19:56I'm sure, I'm sure you could pass a resolution if you were to
- 19:59propose is one on the floor. It might be one of the few things
- 20:02that are that our legislatures might actually agree on right now, is that they
- 20:07wouldn't agree on it, but they'd at least hold a bunch of hearings and
- 20:11posture for the cameras for a couple of weeks and and hold up, hold
- 20:14up photos and video of one hunter by getting a blowjob, and say,
- 20:18this is what's contributing to the heatwave. This is why it's so hot around
- 20:23here. It's because of this guy. His laptop is overeating. I have
- 20:29never been more disgusted with our political leaders though. The thing is, though,
- 20:33is that Republican Democrat, whatever it is, even living libertarian, green
- 20:37Barty, whatever everyone would agree is hot. The problem is the why and
- 20:45the how. That's that's where everyone draws lines in the sand. Me,
- 20:48for one, I'm just gonna wait for Jason Aldeen to tell me what it's
- 20:52like in a small town as far as hot and cold, and then I'll
- 20:55formative thing. So I don't I don't miss the oppressive heat of Texas and
- 21:03the heat gnome, but I will say this, I don't miss all the
- 21:07shootings, you know where I live Now, keep in mind, shooting still
- 21:11happen, it's just not as many. Well there's not as many people down
- 21:18there, all right. Yeah, I guess it could be just a pure
- 21:21percentage thing, but the sheer volume feels less. I live on an island
- 21:26with roughly fifty thousand people as opposed to five million, So yeah, I
- 21:30guess, you know, it might just be a perceived thing versus you know,
- 21:37actual math. Speaking of shootings, have you heard the news about a
- 21:42Keeb Talib's brother, And I'm going to screw up the pronunciation of his name,
- 21:47I'm sure, but it's spelled y aqub, I believe, So I'm
- 21:48gonna call him you a cube or it sounds better than yakub. Yeah,
- 21:55I mean, I truly have no idea how to pronounce it, so I'm
- 21:57just giving it my best shot. Was this the guy that shot and killed
- 22:03like another football coach at a like at a kid's football game, Yes,
- 22:07in front of all the kids and the parents, And I remember there,
- 22:11Yeah, I remember that story. I think it was was it like two
- 22:14years ago that that had happened in Dallas? I think it was only a
- 22:17year ago? Oh wow? Or not? Yeah, it's it's fairly recent
- 22:21but a key delete for people who don't know, was a very good cornerback
- 22:25in the NFL for many years. And anyways, brother shot and killed another
- 22:30coach at this youth football event. I would say allegedly, but I think
- 22:37he's already played and been coned. Is that the Is that the new information
- 22:41about the story? Yeah, I read that he's taken a plea deal,
- 22:45so I've got to believe that that means he's pled. He's going to be
- 22:48sentenced next month, I think August seventh, So yeah, he he took
- 22:52a deal for thirty seven years. Jesus, that was the plea. Well,
- 22:59I mean there's so on murder. There's a halftime requirement, which means
- 23:03he's eligible for parole in eighteen and a half years. I think he's thirty
- 23:07nine, so you know, fifty seven fifty eight he'll be that's not bad,
- 23:11you know for killing the guy. He'll be out, and he'll be
- 23:15out in less time than than than than a previous show member. Yes,
- 23:22and a key to leave like he I believe he was implicated in some of
- 23:26this, but he's gonna skate, oh totally. Although I think he did
- 23:32lose his ESPN, gig or he was a commentator on some major network and
- 23:36he backed away from I think he was on Fox. Yeah, he actually
- 23:40was a fairly promising young like commentator. But you know what he's entertaining as
- 23:45hell. If I don't care, I don't. I don't care if his
- 23:48brother shot and killed somebody, he should be able to keep his job.
- 23:52If Skip, if Fox is willing to employ anything having to do with Skip
- 23:56Bayliss, why do you care if some if one of your one of your
- 23:59you know, talent pieces brother killed the guy. I think he was the
- 24:03one that chose to back away. If I remember the story correctly, at
- 24:07least that that's what was reported at the time, then I guess that would
- 24:11make sense because Fox doesn't seem to have a whole lot of standards when it
- 24:14comes to certain things like that. And I say that purely based on the
- 24:17Skip Bayliss employment. Yeah, but I think there's one thing if you're you
- 24:22know, turning into whatever the crap is that Bayliss is on now on FS
- 24:26one versus you know, big yeah, Big Fox in the NFL booth,
- 24:30and I'm sure the NFL probably is like MS lets let's play out a little
- 24:37bit before. Yeah, you put him back in there. I mean,
- 24:40he'll probably get another job. He was actually pretty good and like he literally
- 24:44if you ever hear an interview with a key to League, like he talks
- 24:47about how like I think it was his grandmother, like his uncle hit his
- 24:52mom or something I forgot, but like basically his grandmother shot his uncle and
- 24:56the uncle apologized, wow did oh. So she must have gotten her same
- 25:03gun training at the place where Dick Cheney got his. Uh No, I
- 25:07think she meant to shoot literally, like they called I remember, because that's
- 25:15one of those called her big Mama and said big Mama pulled out a gun
- 25:18and just popped his ass. Don't do it. Well, we don't know
- 25:22that the guy that I forget who it was that Dick Cheney shot in the
- 25:25face. But we don't know that that guy may have called Dick Cheney big
- 25:29big Mama. I mean, if you're gonna get shot in the face by
- 25:33the vice president, and it'll probably be in response to being called vice president
- 25:37big mama, and he probably apologized for getting in the way of Cheney's gun.
- 25:41So yeah, you might be right he did. Do you not remember
- 25:45that? No, the guy the guy that Dick Cheney shot in the face,
- 25:48later apologized to Dick Cheney for causing such a ruck as I'm sorry I
- 25:52stuck my face in front of your bird shot. What are you for the
- 25:56bullet change? He's just like you can vin moo me. Oh god.
- 26:06It is amazing though, because like with a Keeb to Leabe, like you
- 26:08said, every you know, very accomplished, you know, defensive player in
- 26:11the NFL on the field, but he was also pretty accomplished off the field
- 26:17as far as legal run ins. I mean, honestly, when the story,
- 26:21when the story happened in Dallas that you know, you saw the headline
- 26:23something about a Keeb to Leeb and his shooting, everyone just assumed it was
- 26:27a Keeb to Leabe that did it. Yeah, I mean he was never
- 26:33charged. From what I remember, there was there was quite the altercation,
- 26:38but yea, yeah, Cube, it was the only one to actually poetic.
- 26:45God, that's kind to be difficult names to say because the name's kind
- 26:48of like you're used to saying a Keeb to Leb and it rhymes like I
- 26:52want to say yakube to Lea, but instead it's yacube to Leab. But
- 26:57It makes me want to say, yeah, kup talub. Well you can
- 27:02say that he's in jail, will big You know he's gonna come and get
- 27:06me. What about Big Mamas? She might come and get me if I
- 27:07say his name wrong. Well, that's true. He always gotta worry about
- 27:11Big Mama. Sounds like you gotta worry about the whole damn family. Are
- 27:21there any other um? So, so you said he did a plea deal.
- 27:26And since it's it's a state thing, you so you do halftime on
- 27:30that. You said, as opposed to federal stuff. What's the federal thing?
- 27:33Now? Is it eighty five percent ninety percent of your sentence before you're
- 27:36eligible for parole? Yeah, I think it's roughly eighty percent, And it's
- 27:40not parole per se, but I mean it might as well be. You
- 27:44get good time credit for certain types of programming, and I think basically for
- 27:48just being there for the most part not causing too much trouble, they end
- 27:52up knocking about twenty percent off your time. Gotja. People were up in
- 27:56arms. I don't know if you saw there was a story a couple of
- 27:57weeks back Elizabeth home sentence drastically reduced. Well, you know, the Bureau
- 28:04of Prisons posted her release date, which was I don't know, a year
- 28:08and a half or so less than her sentence, And that's just standard.
- 28:12She's not getting any kind of special treatment. That's true of with her a
- 28:18couple of former show members. You know, I don't know if you can
- 28:23see the snot on. These kind of shot out of my nose right there.
- 28:30So what's more likely to happen, getting getting some time off your federal
- 28:36sentence for good behavior or an owl showing up in your backyard. Oh,
- 28:42that's an easy one. Since owls no longer exist. We went through this
- 28:45last time. Owls are extinct? Are they extinct in general or just extinct
- 28:55from your backyard? But they are extinct. They no longer exist, they
- 28:59have ceased to be collectively. You're just straight before the show because he was
- 29:07mouthing off about owls, and I said, when was the last time you
- 29:10saw one? He said, oh, personally, yeah, personally yeah.
- 29:14But I don't look for owls. I don't have an owl house. It
- 29:17wouldn't do any good. I feel like if I did have an owl house
- 29:18that you know, they would come and visit. That's what I thought too,
- 29:22it's here I am perpetrated by the owl house industry. But here's Everett
- 29:27with his owl house in his backyard and no owl. So therefore it must
- 29:32be that all owls are extinct. So what we need to do, then,
- 29:34treys you and I need to go, uh put up owl houses in
- 29:37our yards and and just you know, test it. Yeah, good luck?
- 29:45How mad wouever it be if the same we had families of owls in
- 29:49our owl house. You know what sucks too, is in my neighborhood,
- 29:55the neighbors have taken to putting up speakers in their trees. I haven't been
- 29:59actually seen the speakers, but I can hear the owl sounds coming from some
- 30:03of the neighbors trees when I go on my walks in the evenings, and
- 30:07I think, you know, that's just uncool. So your neighbors are just
- 30:11trolling you with owls sounds? Well, yeah, I mean it's got to
- 30:15be because there are no owls that say is this is this just your self
- 30:18delusion? And you're bitter that they're owls all around you, but they just
- 30:21don't like your house. I haven't seen a single one tray, but you've
- 30:25heard them. I hear owl sounds and have to be coming from speakers because
- 30:32owls no longer exist, you need to follow along. I think what you
- 30:34need to do, Everett, is you need to go on You need to
- 30:37go on next door to make sure that there's not some sort of neighborhood conspiracy.
- 30:41As you go walking down the street, everyone is playing owl sounds because
- 30:45they know you're on the hunt to make sure your neighbors aren't just jacking with
- 30:51you. Oh they're jacking with me. I don't And if I go on
- 30:53next door, they're all just gonna have some sense of satisfaction that oh,
- 30:57yeah, we're messing with his mind. I'm not going to give them the
- 31:00pleasure. So you just would rather just believe that there's a great conspiracy to
- 31:07keep owls away from you. There's no need to keep owls away from me
- 31:10trade they don't exist, see Tray, It's a lot easier to skip over
- 31:15the conspiracy theory and land somewhere in the realm of reality that a species is
- 31:19extinct. Damn, what was the last time you saw an owl? That's
- 31:26what I thought. Yeah, yeah, I have a poor memory. Evert

- 32:07to the roof. They had the insurance come out. An insurance sent them
- 32:10a nice big check for twenty five thousand dollars, but they've decided now,
- 32:14ooh, maybe I can shop this around and try to get some estimates,
- 32:17see if I can find someone willing to do the job for twenty in pocket.
- 32:21Five grants had a good idea, Hey Dan, Hey, no,
- 32:22it's not at all because a lot of times people will get that first check
- 32:27and they start thinking, well, I'm sure I can get this done cheaper,

- 32:40I don't know if I let that doctor do my back operation. And that's

- 32:52your roof sometimes could be worth thirty or forty thousand, and you find another
- 32:54roofing company that says, yeah, we'll do it for twenty five. There's
- 32:58some red flags there, Dan. They're not going to put a quality product
- 33:01on your house for twenty five thousand dollars. That's not going to happen.

- 36:45to get out of the treehouse pretty soon. You have like a like a
- 36:47like a major law appointment or something you have to go to court. Well,
- 36:52I have an appointment. It's with my phrenologist. Phrenologist, Yes,
- 36:57is that like a is that like a doctor for your frienulum? No,
- 37:02it's uh, basically professional, a doctor as it were, who determines your
- 37:08mental traits by examining the bumps on your head where they're located, and their
- 37:15size and so forth. So it is a doctor for your freenulum. Well
- 37:19you said head. Oh you mean like actual cranium head not less not not
- 37:22not the sweet soft spot on the underside of our penises. No, that's
- 37:28another specialty. Yeah it is. Yeah, Tray and I both smile,
- 37:34big eyebrows. Yeah it is. Yeah. Yeah. See this is this
- 37:37is the second time in less than like a week that edging has been brought
- 37:42up on the show. All right, so so what is it you so
- 37:45you're going to You're going to a doctor that is going to to check your
- 37:50head? Well, yeah, they, as I say, determine certain mental
- 37:54characteristics that you may have based on the bumps on your head, their location
- 37:59and side, and how they're closter together tell us you have too much free
- 38:05time on your hands, without telling us you have too much free time on
- 38:07your hands. Well, you know, I mean, I think it's important
- 38:12to get a full measure of your health at any age, certainly, but
- 38:17as you get older it's you know, you want to make sure that everything's
- 38:22in order, And I think phrenology for me is the next logical step.
- 38:27He's actually a veterinary phrenologist, but he did such good work with my dogs
- 38:34that I thought I'd give it a try, he offered, and I thought,
- 38:36well why not? So you have a You ever have an appointment with
- 38:43a veterinary to examine you? Phrenologist? Yes? How do you spell that?
- 38:51P R E N O L O G I S T. I'm surprised
- 38:58it popped up phrenology the detailed study of the shape and size of the cranium
- 39:01as a supposed indication of character and mental abilities. Every other time I've ever
- 39:07heard that word, it's an old It's an eighties movie with Charlie Sheen and
- 39:13Amelio, the Brothers Estevez minute work, minute work? Have you remember,
- 39:16Oh my god, today, he's a great day. You dropped in a
- 39:20minute work reference. I love that movie. Gotta love that movie. But
- 39:23ever, here's my question for you. Is this something you're doing, like
- 39:27for him to examine you? Or or is this some other like are you
- 39:30going to be a phrenology apprentice? And along with your blacksmithing and owl house
- 39:36building and don't don't forget about the falconry falconry? Yes, well, you
- 39:42know I've considered that, and that actually, you know, being examined by
- 39:46a phrenologist is actually the first step toward becoming educated as one. You know,
- 39:52to see if it's something that you like, you need to have experience
- 39:53with it as a patient. So you know, I'm considering it. But
- 40:00the same isn't the same sort of mentality that the guy had as the head
- 40:02of Men's warehouse. It's like, not only am I the president, but
- 40:06I'm also a client. Well it could be. And you know, I'm
- 40:09not sure what his views on phrenology were, but I wouldn't be at all
- 40:12surprised if he were an enthusiast. And and here's my next question, what
- 40:20was going on with your dog that you took your dog to a phrenologist?
- 40:23Oh? Yeah, good question. Well it's important, you know, with
- 40:28dogs to figure out what their traits are going to be. What can you
- 40:30expect from a puppy when you when you bring it home or contemplating bringing it
- 40:35home and taking it to a Taking your dog to a veterinary phrenologist is the
- 40:39perfect solution. So what what did what did the dog phrenologists tell you?
- 40:45I'm assuming you're talking about Gladys. You're a you're a newer addition to the
- 40:50family, the basset hound. Yes, So what did the dog phnologists tell
- 40:53you about Gladys's puppy dome? Well, he said that she would likely be
- 41:00a dog that follows her nose a lot, that sniffs a lot. And
- 41:07he was right, I mean, he was spot on. So that's really
- 41:10in part what impressed me to think, you know, maybe I should take
- 41:15the next logical step here. So he told you that about a hound dog
- 41:19puppy. Did he also he tell you that, you know, you might
- 41:22get a shoe torn up and carpet pet on. How'd you know that?
- 41:30Hey, Trey, Hey Trey, you remember the good old days when when
- 41:31we thought Everett was the smartest of us all. Behold Frono. So what
- 41:43is it, Everett that you're expecting the dog for knowledge is to find on
- 41:45your head? Well, bumps, you know that are going to um,
- 41:55that's right, yuck it up. But this is serious business. I'm sorry.
- 42:01Did he also tell you that you know there would be an your dog
- 42:05would have an eternal, lifelong battle with squirrels? How'd you know that?
- 42:12I've had a Bassett Hound. It sounds like you've had a phrenologist. Yes,
- 42:15that's what I was gonna say. Yeah, I think you'd probably did
- 42:19you take your dog to a phrenologist? I think what Trey did is Trey
- 42:23had Trey had his dog called Miss Cleo of phrenology. Yeah, it was
- 42:32a Deon Warwick Psychic Friends Network, phrenolog part of the network. Yeah you
- 42:37So, if you wanted human regular stuff, you know, you'd hit you
- 42:42know one, But then if you needed the dog you know, phrenology stuff,
- 42:45you hit two and that got you like LaToya Jackson instead of Deon Warwick
- 42:50or something. Phrenology has been around for I don't know, at least five
- 42:54or six years, so I think, is there is there a like a
- 43:00specific concern that you're wanting the dog fornologists to uh to address or to investigate
- 43:07on your head? Well, I want him to find out if if I
- 43:13have a proclivity to bark. What a better source than a veterinary phrenologist,
- 43:22you know? And sometimes in my sleep, I'll you know, or you
- 43:25know, I'll wake up and kind of make these sounds that are reminiscent of
- 43:30of of dogs. So so does that mean then it's it's your girlfriend Cynthia
- 43:35that is pushing you to go see a specialist for your dog like tendencies in
- 43:39your sleep. How'd you know that that's there a concern because you've been trying
- 43:45to lick your balls? Yeah, you know that's that's more a matter of,
- 43:52uh, that's a job for a chiropractor. All right. I believe
- 43:57we've we've we've now crossed the line of stupid, that I can that I
- 44:00can stay out, that I now have way too many visuals of Everett in
- 44:07my head that I'll never be able to erase. Wow. For all things
