- 2:37Speaker 2: that a lot of the children have just returned back
- 2:41Speaker 2: to school or in the process of returning back to school.
- 2:46Speaker 2: So this episode is going to focus on going back
- 2:52Speaker 2: to school, and like always, we're gonna begin with prayer.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Dear heavenly fault and the precious name of your son, Jesus,
- 3:04Speaker 2: we thank you for getting another opportunity to praise your
- 3:10Speaker 2: holy name. We thank you for this platform and for
- 3:17Speaker 2: the visionary Continue to touch up in a mighty way.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Continue to open up our creative portals and let the
- 3:28Speaker 2: creative ideas, books, seminars, whatever she touches, God, let it
- 3:35Speaker 2: come to fruition. In the name of Jesus, we thank you,
- 3:42Speaker 2: We praise you, and we give you glory. In Jesus' name,
- 3:47Speaker 2: we pray Amen. Our quote for this week is education
- 3:55Speaker 2: is the most powerful weapon which you can use to
- 4:00Speaker 2: change the world. And that quote was by Nelson Mandela.
- 4:07Speaker 2: So on tonight, I am going to share with you
- 4:11Speaker 2: ten practical steps that you can use to get your
- 4:19Speaker 2: children ready to go back to school. The first one
- 4:24Speaker 2: is re establish routines startedesting bedtime and wake up times
- 4:34Speaker 2: a week or two before school starts so mornings feel
- 4:40Speaker 2: smoother when the first day arrives. And as a former teacher,
- 4:46Speaker 2: I know that getting your proper rest and having a
- 4:50Speaker 2: routine is key to your day being productive, because if
- 4:55Speaker 2: you come to the school in the morning and you're
- 4:58Speaker 2: sleepy and grumpy, you're the whole day is ruined. So
- 5:02Speaker 2: get them children back into those routine of bedtime. We
- 5:07Speaker 2: know that during the summer about our routines are lax
- 5:11Speaker 2: and we don't really have structure. But we need to
- 5:15Speaker 2: get that structure back before a school start, set up
- 5:20Speaker 2: a learning space. Create a dedicated space at home for homework,
- 5:27Speaker 2: reading and projects, somewhere with minimal distraction and plenty of supplies.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Three Gather school supplies. Make a check list based on
- 5:45Speaker 2: the school's supply lists. Let kids help shop so they
- 5:51Speaker 2: feel excited and prepared. Review academic skills. Reach as it's
- 5:59Speaker 2: shown that during the summer there's usually a gap education
- 6:05Speaker 2: they usually received back are Grater two because you know
- 6:11Speaker 2: most people during the summer, they don't make their children
- 6:16Speaker 2: do academic work, so they lapse in their education. So
- 6:22Speaker 2: review their academic skills. Spend a little time each day
- 6:27Speaker 2: reviewing reading, writing, or math to refresh their memory and
- 6:34Speaker 2: boost their confidence. Update health needs, schedule animal checkups, eye exams,
- 6:45Speaker 2: and ensure immanizations are current. Also refill prescriptions and need
- 6:52Speaker 2: as needed. And you need to set these appointments early
- 6:56Speaker 2: because as you get closer and closer to school, a
- 7:01Speaker 2: lot of the pity attritions are going to be full
- 7:05Speaker 2: and appointments are going to be far out. So in
- 7:09Speaker 2: order to make sure that you make your school's deadline,
- 7:13Speaker 2: set those appointments early. Six Plan healthy meals and snacks.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Stop the pantryon fridge with balanced portions for breakfast, lunches
- 7:29Speaker 2: and after school snacks. Seven talk about expectations. Discuss the
- 7:39Speaker 2: daily schedule, after school routines, and what they can expect
- 7:45Speaker 2: during this school day, especially important for younger children of
- 7:52Speaker 2: those changing schools. I found that since I taught preschool
- 7:58Speaker 2: kids' children, that it was important for us to get
- 8:04Speaker 2: them queen in to leaving class for art, music, gym,
- 8:11Speaker 2: going to the cafeteria to have lunch, because in preschool
- 8:17Speaker 2: everything was done in one classroom, but as they went
- 8:21Speaker 2: to kindergarten, they needed to know how to go top
- 8:27Speaker 2: class to class. They needed to know how to open
- 8:31Speaker 2: up their milk, how to become more independent. So as
- 8:36Speaker 2: we went into the May and June months, we would
- 8:40Speaker 2: start activating them to kindergarten if they didn't take the bus,
- 8:47Speaker 2: we got them macumated to take the bus, talking about
- 8:50Speaker 2: routines that you did on the bus, and we find
- 8:55Speaker 2: that they were more prepared for kindergarten when we did
- 9:00Speaker 2: those things. Practice independence, encourage skills like packing their backpack,
- 9:09Speaker 2: tie in shoes, or organizing their things. Boost the responsibility
- 9:16Speaker 2: and confidence. And that's another thing that we started in
- 9:20Speaker 2: May and June is making them be more independent by
- 9:27Speaker 2: having them put on their own cold by having them
- 9:30Speaker 2: tie their own shoes. Because in preschool, in the beginning,
- 9:36Speaker 2: we used to do a lot of those things for them,
- 9:40Speaker 2: but as they age developmentally, we started boostering their independence
- 9:48Speaker 2: by encouraging them to do those things themselves. And when
- 9:53Speaker 2: they have completed the deaths, we would clap and have
- 9:58Speaker 2: a party and celebrate them on their win so that
- 10:03Speaker 2: they would be more independent and not so dependent on
- 10:07Speaker 2: the teacher because in the preschool classroom we had three teachers. Meanwhile,
- 10:13Speaker 2: when you go to kindergarten, there's one teacher and occasional aide,
- 10:18Speaker 2: so you need to be more independent. Nine reconnect with friends,
- 10:28Speaker 2: arranged playdates or calls with classmates, so your child feels
- 10:36Speaker 2: socially connected before the first day, and that's very important
- 10:42Speaker 2: because a lot of their children, they need to interaction.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They need to know like the children would enjoy when
- 10:51Speaker 2: they were in other classes, when they were in kindergarten
- 10:55Speaker 2: with other children from Headstart, friends that they met at
- 11:00Speaker 2: head Soon, create excitement, read books about going back to school,
- 11:09Speaker 2: do a fun countdown calendar, or plan a special first
- 11:15Speaker 2: day of school breakfast tradition to build positive outcomes. So
- 11:22Speaker 2: you need to have some special traditions. And we're going
- 11:26Speaker 2: back to school. This is our special go back to
- 11:29Speaker 2: school breakfast, and the teachers. We would greet each child
- 11:36Speaker 2: individually as they walked into the room, let them choose
- 11:43Speaker 2: what cobby they wanted, where they wanted to hang their code.
- 11:48Speaker 2: They get to choose all of that, so that makes
- 11:51Speaker 2: them feel like they have control over something that they belong.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So we need to prepare had children for going back
- 12:02Speaker 2: to school weeks before it's actually time to go to school,
- 12:09Speaker 2: so it won't be such a surprise. That it's easier
- 12:15Speaker 2: on the teachers and the child, because it's so heartbreaking
- 12:20Speaker 2: when you have a child that is so dependent on
- 12:24Speaker 2: their parents that when they leave they cry the whole day.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I had some children that cried for the first mixt
- 12:33Speaker 2: six months of school. Every day, they would eat breakfast crying,
- 12:38Speaker 2: they wouldat lunch crying. They would get on their cots
- 12:41Speaker 2: and take a nap, crying until they finally realized that
- 12:47Speaker 2: mommy has come back. I'm like, mom is leave you here,
- 12:51Speaker 2: but they're not going to leave you here overnight and
- 12:55Speaker 2: I don't live here, So Mommy is coming back, and
- 12:59Speaker 2: I'm going home, and we're both gonna come back tomorrow,
- 13:03Speaker 2: So it's no need for you to cry. I know
- 13:07Speaker 2: this is new for you, but Momy's gonna come back.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Mommy's not gonna leave you and not come back. So
- 13:16Speaker 2: parents seed to also reassure their children that they'll be back,
- 13:22Speaker 2: that they have to go to school like they have
- 13:26Speaker 2: to go to work, but they will return and pick
- 13:31Speaker 2: them up. Now that we've talked about ten practical ways
- 13:40Speaker 2: you can get your child ready for school, we're gonna
- 13:44Speaker 2: do a special prayer for the children that are going
- 13:50Speaker 2: back to school. We know that school has just started
- 13:56Speaker 2: like two weeks ago, and we've already had our first
- 14:02Speaker 2: school shooting where two children were pow power and we're unlive.
- 14:11Speaker 2: So we need to pay for our children the enemy
- 14:16Speaker 2: is running wild and he wants to destroy our children
- 14:22Speaker 2: before they have the chance to live up to their potential.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Dear Heavenly Father, and the presis match the name of
- 14:33Speaker 2: your son, Jesus, we thank you for this platform. Yet
- 14:39Speaker 2: once again, we thank you for the visionary and her vision.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Once again, Now, Father, we pray for all the children
- 14:51Speaker 2: that are going back to school, from head start to college.
- 14:58Speaker 2: We ask that you put a the hedge of protection
- 15:02Speaker 2: around them. Dear God, Father, God, we ask that you
- 15:07Speaker 2: protect them from all hurt, harm and danger. That you
- 15:12Speaker 2: protect the college students on their way to school. You
- 15:17Speaker 2: let your angels rally all around their car. In Jesus' name,
- 15:23Speaker 2: that you protect the children on school buses. You protect
- 15:29Speaker 2: them from accidents, from misuse abuse. In the name of Jesus.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Children walking to and fro from school, God, we asked
- 15:40Speaker 2: you to protect them on the dangerous highways and byways. God, God,
- 15:45Speaker 2: we asked you touch their mind in a mighty way. God,
- 15:49Speaker 2: you bring back there to their remembrance every concept that
- 15:55Speaker 2: they have been taught. God, in the name of Jesus,
- 15:59Speaker 2: open up their creative portals. In the name of Jesus, God,
- 16:05Speaker 2: we pray for every teacher, every social worker, every godance
- 16:12Speaker 2: counselor God, give them the heart that they need. God,
- 16:17Speaker 2: give them the wisdom and understanding to work with our children.
- 16:22Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus God.
- 16:25Speaker 3: We ask you to touch the leaders of this country God,
- 16:32Speaker 3: the things that they are trying to take away from
- 16:35Speaker 3: education in God, we ask them that you block it.
- 16:39Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus God. Every since they took
- 16:44Speaker 2: prayer out of the schools, God, the schools have been
- 16:47Speaker 2: running wild. God, we invite you back into our schools. God,
- 16:52Speaker 2: in the name of Jesus, protect our children. In the
- 16:57Speaker 2: name of Jesus O God, we give praise, and we
- 17:01Speaker 2: give you glory and God. Those that don't know You God,
- 17:07Speaker 2: in the pardon of their sin God, we invite them
- 17:10Speaker 2: to get to know You on tonight. God. All they
- 17:14Speaker 2: have to do is repent of their sins and acknowledge
- 17:18Speaker 2: the fact that Jesus is your son and he died
- 17:22Speaker 2: on the cross for when we were yet sinners. And
- 17:27Speaker 2: they're saved. They can find a Bible, believe in church,
- 17:32Speaker 2: and grow in the knowledge and the admonision of the Lord.
- 17:38Speaker 2: And those that us that know You, God, we thank
- 17:41Speaker 2: you for waking us up this morning and our right minds.
- 17:46Speaker 2: We thank you God for every creative idea that you
- 17:51Speaker 2: have given us. God in the name of Jesus, continue
- 17:55Speaker 2: to let these ideas flow creatively in our life. In
- 18:00Speaker 2: the name of Jesus. And everyone that is a part
- 18:05Speaker 2: of the crew podcast in their family. God, we're asking
- 18:09Speaker 2: you to touch them in a mighty way. God, remember
- 18:13Speaker 2: black diamonds. In the mighty way. God, I know what
- 18:16Speaker 2: she's going through. God in the name of Jesus, Oh,
- 18:20Speaker 2: give her a comfort huh that nobody else could give.
- 18:24Speaker 2: A God, give her a comfort and a peace that
- 18:27Speaker 2: surpasses all understanding. God in the name of Jesus, touch
- 18:32Speaker 2: a heart her mind. God in the name of Jesus,
- 18:36Speaker 2: be with their family in this time of sorrow. God,
- 18:41Speaker 2: thank you, Jesus. We thank you God. Ah, we give
- 18:45Speaker 2: you glory here. We thank you for the things that
- 18:48Speaker 2: you have done. We thank you for the things that

- 18:53Speaker 2: doors that you have closed, and we thank you for
- 18:56Speaker 2: the close doors that you're about to open. And Jesus' name, Oh,
