- 1:44Speaker 5: The phrase awesome, we uh my buddy's are on a vacation.
- 1:48Speaker 5: This is actually like two years ago, were like what
- 1:49Speaker 5: happened to the fray Somebody got a playlist. They were
- 1:52Speaker 5: performing somewhere around here like two years ago.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Alight here blew by you Noisiana.
- 2:04Speaker 5: Yeah, like like Louisiana and Texas area. They had like
- 2:07Speaker 5: two or three concerts do a forgotten band. Tearless Jake,
- 2:12Speaker 5: that'd be good. That'd be a good one like that.
- 2:16Speaker 6: That feels like it needs to be all next. Uh
- 2:19Speaker 6: yeas next Tearless?
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yeah, because Flynn would thrive in that too. Oh yeah yeah,
- 2:23Speaker 4: the music knowledge is it's pretty fast.
- 2:26Speaker 5: There you go. We can all make a trip to
- 2:28Speaker 5: Houston July thirty first to see the prey.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Who's with him? I don't know that matters. I'm talking
- 2:35Speaker 3: Gavin de Gral, gap Gral.
- 2:42Speaker 6: I was not ready for that at all, man, Like
- 2:45Speaker 6: you could have thrown out so many and I would
- 2:48Speaker 6: have been more prepared than I was.
- 2:50Speaker 5: From Gavin de Gral. Hey, we're one Tree Hill fans
- 2:55Speaker 5: here in the morning.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Joe Man.
- 2:59Speaker 4: But really, if having to grauln there all right, I
- 3:06Speaker 4: mean it's not just them, it can't be.
- 3:09Speaker 5: It could be like thirty eight bucks.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Again, Gavin could be with him and those are thirty Yeah.
- 3:16Speaker 6: I love getting with them.
- 3:18Speaker 5: It doesn't say who they're who are with really, I'll
- 3:22Speaker 5: look into it it.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Uh.
- 3:24Speaker 5: I just did like a quick searge, do.
- 3:26Speaker 4: We have do we have a It can be a
- 3:28Speaker 4: just a singer. It doesn't have to be a member
- 3:30Speaker 4: of a band. But do we have somebody that is known?
- 3:33Speaker 4: He's well known, but it's like, how did that guy
- 3:36Speaker 4: never make it? Like make it where he was on
- 3:39Speaker 4: like the billboard top forty whatever, top one hundred. Do
- 3:44Speaker 4: we have a name of somebody that you listen to
- 3:47Speaker 4: that again, it's not like he's an unknown.
- 3:50Speaker 3: It's not like the deepest of deep cut.
- 3:52Speaker 4: And you know, I hate flends like this sometimes too,
- 3:54Speaker 4: like oh, you just hadn't heard of you, bro, It's like, no,
- 3:58Speaker 4: it's okay, you found him first. Congrats, thanks for sharing,
- 4:03Speaker 4: Thanks for sharing.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I don't know. I'm gonna go with Mark Bruceard.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Louis and his own Mark Bruce I dude, he in
- 4:14Speaker 4: my college days, like he would come to the Varsity
- 4:17Speaker 4: of Time and be.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Like, Oh, that dude's gonna blow up.
- 4:19Speaker 4: That guy is gonna be he's gonna be huge, and
- 4:23Speaker 4: he's got a following for sure. I mean I still
- 4:24Speaker 4: follow Mark Bruceard. I was always like, why is he
- 4:28Speaker 4: not more popular? Dave Barnes kind of falls into the
- 4:32Speaker 4: category two back in the day, I think of my
- 4:35Speaker 4: time college radio. I know we're different ages. So maybe
- 4:38Speaker 4: the answer is a deeper deep cut for y'all I'm
- 4:40Speaker 4: not sure.
- 4:40Speaker 6: Well, I was kind of thinking about it. I don't
- 4:42Speaker 6: really know if I have that. I mean, I hear
- 4:50Speaker 6: music because it's it's out there and popular in mainstream.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Yeah, like, I don't.
- 4:56Speaker 6: I don't really know if I have if I have
- 4:58Speaker 6: an answer to that. I know that's boring and not
- 5:00Speaker 6: what we're looking for, but.
- 5:02Speaker 3: It's all right. You quite possibly run the morning in
- 5:05Speaker 3: the show.
- 5:05Speaker 6: And possibly the whole evening. Don't be mad at Dale
- 5:07Speaker 6: for ruining the story.
- 5:09Speaker 5: Yeah, you mean like somebody like could they have had
- 5:12Speaker 5: a hit and they just didn't have to stay in
- 5:15Speaker 5: power or what like.
- 5:16Speaker 6: A one hit wonder but I mean again, a one
- 5:18Speaker 6: hit wonder pri made Billboard.
- 5:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I'm think. Thee like somebody you heard
- 5:27Speaker 5: the first hit?
- 5:29Speaker 4: That could be that, I mean at the foster to
- 5:31Speaker 4: the category like because they kind of made it, but maybe.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Not a household name.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Chris Cagle for me, Okay, two thousand, that's a good.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 5: I think I think Chris Cagel had something like two
- 5:46Speaker 5: of his like on his on his first album, he
- 5:48Speaker 5: had like two hits that were in like the top fifty,
- 5:51Speaker 5: and I don't think he ever really replicated that same
- 5:53Speaker 5: sort of success. Like I've always been a big Chris
- 5:56Speaker 5: Gagel fan, but like, you know, the average person's not gonna.
- 6:02Speaker 6: Chicks digg it what a banger, dude.
- 6:04Speaker 4: It was song so good, dude, oh man, meriweather Is Yeah,
- 6:10Speaker 4: that's a good one. A couple of people have said
- 6:12Speaker 4: that in the chat, and that's that's one that certainly
- 6:14Speaker 4: felt like they were going to be big. Mark Kahn,
- 6:19Speaker 4: who sings walking in Memphis, Okay, no, wow, I try
- 6:23Speaker 4: to get Memphis to make that like his walk up song.
- 6:24Speaker 4: He's like, I'm not doing that. I'm like, what's funny?
- 6:26Speaker 6: It's your name? Good stuff.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and then it was is it Pam Tillis that sings.
- 6:31Speaker 6: Maybe that is Pam till Us, Yeah, so it could
- 6:36Speaker 6: be funny. He's like, I'm not doing that, dad, thin
- 6:39Speaker 6: that'd be even good. Yeah, that's what walk up songs
- 6:42Speaker 6: are supposed to. Back that, like, you gotta have a
- 6:44Speaker 6: like like Landon Hood when he gets tell us you
- 6:48Speaker 6: can we get like some I'm So Hood by DJ
- 6:49Speaker 6: Collegs that' that'd be awesome. Yeah, like that'd be so good.
- 6:53Speaker 7: I'm with you, cowboy mouth. Oh man, that's good. That's
- 7:08Speaker 7: good stuff.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Was the varsity like was it?
- 7:13Speaker 4: And I know you went to Southeastern, so maybe maybe
- 7:16Speaker 4: not as much for you. But did the varsity still
- 7:19Speaker 4: have good shows when you were in college?
- 7:21Speaker 3: Moose?
- 7:21Speaker 6: Not really?
- 7:21Speaker 5: No, No, Kevin Gates went there every every now and then.
- 7:27Speaker 6: Did they pop off of something? But no, not really.
- 7:32Speaker 5: Yeah, Kevin Gates, Uh, it's stay at that's the Chris
- 7:36Speaker 5: Dorian video.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Yeah it is.
- 7:41Speaker 5: Do you know the video we're talking about?
- 7:43Speaker 6: I know, but I know the song.
- 7:45Speaker 4: You don't know the Chris Doran video we're talking about.
- 7:48Speaker 4: I do not fund of Chris Doring at Mardi Gral.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Oh lord, and Kevin Gates is playing.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Oh my, how have you missed this?
- 7:58Speaker 6: Moose Dorian have a shirt on?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Shirt on? Okay, shirt on. We'll have to play that
- 8:05Speaker 3: for you.
- 8:06Speaker 6: C D. Goodness, gracious, I found it. Oh my gosh.
- 8:14Speaker 3: I don't think we can have down.
- 8:16Speaker 5: No, no, no, I'm gonna show him break.
- 8:18Speaker 3: We can't.
- 8:18Speaker 5: We can't play you.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Can play it.
- 8:20Speaker 4: You just play it, just play it, just play it.
- 8:23Speaker 6: I think I know what's playing in the background. Plus
- 8:26Speaker 6: you're super yeah yeah yeah.
- 8:30Speaker 4: And yeah I don't I don't remember where doing was
- 8:33Speaker 4: during Mardi Gras of course smiss a great name. By
- 8:36Speaker 4: the way, whoever put that in the chat? The twenty
- 8:38Speaker 4: one song that was a banger when we were in college.
- 8:42Speaker 6: Oh boy, I can just see thumb the thumbnail over
- 8:45Speaker 6: there on Taylor Sky.
- 8:54Speaker 4: All right, let's see, all right, if you're watching this
- 8:57Speaker 4: on YouTube, this is Chris Doring that one time he
- 9:00Speaker 4: went to girl Garade and yeah, you know he's got
- 9:05Speaker 4: his Yett cup.
- 9:07Speaker 3: He's ready to.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Go shades on.
- 9:11Speaker 3: That is doing.
- 9:12Speaker 6: I could tell the vibes are so high.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Although it's Chris Doran, but by god, if it didn't look.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I look at that guy that it has to be
- 9:21Speaker 3: Chris Dorian.
- 9:22Speaker 5: I know you've asked them about that.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Before a thousand times. They actually had that guy on
- 9:27Speaker 4: SEC this morning, did they really? That's that is when
- 9:32Speaker 4: I saw this, I was about to call Doring pissed
- 9:35Speaker 4: at because he didn't call me when he was in
- 9:36Speaker 4: town for Marti Gral like that is Doring if it
- 9:40Speaker 4: wasn't been the the Dad Blue polo.
- 9:43Speaker 6: I mean Colors Florida Gator for man.
- 9:46Speaker 4: For sure, it's not his polo is not really his style.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Those glasses could be hit or miss. But I was like,
- 9:52Speaker 4: that's Chris Dorry. He came down to Louisiana and went
- 9:55Speaker 4: to Marty.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Girl Jude, I mean in.
- 10:01Speaker 3: The American flag, yett cup America.
- 10:04Speaker 6: How many times was Dorian sent this video?
- 10:07Speaker 3: Oh?
- 10:07Speaker 4: He said, set his phone blew up. It was a
- 10:11Speaker 4: viral video because it was the guy just vibing to
- 10:13Speaker 4: Kevin Gates and then it just happened to be the
- 10:16Speaker 4: doppelganger of Chris.
- 10:17Speaker 5: Dor A blue shirt.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Like the height, the body, tide, the hair, the hair,
- 10:26Speaker 6: I mean the hair is really the hair is what
- 10:30Speaker 6: does it for me?
- 10:35Speaker 3: Oh?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Man?
- 10:35Speaker 3: This guy.
- 10:38Speaker 6: So good?
- 10:43Speaker 3: Oh my gosh.
- 10:44Speaker 4: All right, we will step away. We do have our guy,
- 10:47Speaker 4: Bobby Carpenter, Big ten. Bob said, to join us when

- 11:30Speaker 4: we come back to General, Bobby Carpenter joins us right
- 11:32Speaker 4: here on OTB off the bench.
- 11:43Speaker 8: I never knew, I never knew that everything was falling through,
- 11:49Speaker 8: that everyone I knew was waiting on a queue send
- 11:54Speaker 8: and Brunwin. All I needed was the shoes house.
- 11:59Speaker 6: Got.
- 12:01Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves, gets off the
- 12:04Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 12:10Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in OTV. Here live from the
- 12:13Speaker 4: Raisin Caines studio. No Matt Flynn today. Matt Flynn is
- 12:16Speaker 4: beaching down at the beach on thirty A. So we
- 12:19Speaker 4: are riding solo, but we are thrilled to be joined
- 12:21Speaker 4: by our guy, Bobby Carpenter, the General, Big ten Bob
- 12:25Speaker 4: joining us now, and I bet Bobby Carpenter used to
- 12:28Speaker 4: throw down to the fray as well, what do we say.
- 12:31Speaker 9: How to save a lifecester. I'm glad you put that
- 12:34Speaker 9: on there for me coming in, because you know exactly
- 12:38Speaker 9: what I needed to hear today. It's a beautiful day
- 12:40Speaker 9: in Columbus. Ohio's an eighty five degrees some pumps, but
- 12:43Speaker 9: it's not as pretty as thirty A. And I'll be honest,
- 12:46Speaker 9: I've hung out with Flynn down on thirty as you
- 12:48Speaker 9: guys went to college together. But she ever offered up
- 12:52Speaker 9: his house down there in Watercolor Sudio.
- 12:56Speaker 3: No.
- 12:56Speaker 4: No, I can't even get Matt to give me free
- 12:59Speaker 4: samples of his hydration product my high.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I can't even get that done. So you think he's
- 13:04Speaker 3: going to offer his home to me?
- 13:06Speaker 9: Gosha? You know what, hester I thought it was the brotherhood.
- 13:10Speaker 9: That's what we have in Ohio state. I mean it
- 13:12Speaker 9: must be a little different down there in the body.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Uh.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Well, he's from Texas, so you know, we don't really you.
- 13:17Speaker 4: Know, that's a whole different that's a whole different subject there, Bob.
- 13:21Speaker 3: And so yeah, I don't you know, like flynnis Flynn.
- 13:24Speaker 3: That's all I can say. You know, he is He
- 13:27Speaker 3: might not offer you to that.
- 13:28Speaker 9: But you had Colt McCoy, a Texas guy. He's spending
- 13:31Speaker 9: this punchow gears. So mean, what are we talking about, coach?
- 13:33Speaker 3: You know what. That's a hell of a point, Bob.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I bet if Colt McCoy had a house on thirty eight,
- 13:39Speaker 4: I could call Colt right now and say, hey, my guy,
- 13:41Speaker 4: I'm in a pinch. The reservation got canceled down here,
- 13:44Speaker 4: me and the family were a little stranded. He'd say,
- 13:46Speaker 4: I got you. The keys are under the mat. You're
- 13:49Speaker 4: exactly right. It's not a Texas thing. It's a Flynn thing.
- 13:52Speaker 9: It's a funnest thing all the way. And like you know,
- 13:55Speaker 9: I might at task at maybe it might be a
- 13:57Speaker 9: hester thing. To tell you the truth, kid, I'm not
- 13:59Speaker 9: thinking offered ajs the house. Tell you tell you that.
- 14:02Speaker 9: So I don't know what's going on.
- 14:04Speaker 4: That's very fair, that's very fair. So I don't know
- 14:08Speaker 4: about my partner. I don't know about him. I mean, look,
- 14:10Speaker 4: I know about you. Know, I know about you. We
- 14:12Speaker 4: did meet Head Radio together for a long time. I
- 14:14Speaker 4: know you're always ready to go. I know I can
- 14:15Speaker 4: ask you almost anything and you're gonna have an answer
- 14:17Speaker 4: for it.
- 14:18Speaker 3: So we're having a little fun this morning. You heard
- 14:21Speaker 3: the Frey there.
- 14:21Speaker 4: We were talking about bands that were forgotten about, like
- 14:25Speaker 4: Matchbox twenty and three Doors Down and the Wallflowers and
- 14:29Speaker 4: Train Lifehouse all these bands, Like what happens to them? Bob,
- 14:34Speaker 4: They're just like banger after banger and then all of
- 14:36Speaker 4: a sudden, we don't hear from him anymore.
- 14:39Speaker 9: It is wild now. I don't know how many bangers.
- 14:42Speaker 9: The Wallflowers they had a couple, but like I put
- 14:44Speaker 9: like eagle like cherry in there. No, they just had
- 14:46Speaker 9: stayed tonight. No, that was that was nice. Nice little
- 14:49Speaker 9: bands from the nineties. Yeah, they usually do these like
- 14:51Speaker 9: little truly what it is they should call it the
- 14:56Speaker 9: the Mix Tape or like the Burnt Speedy Tour from
- 14:59Speaker 9: all the people from the nineties and Million two Albans,
- 15:02Speaker 9: And they do those tours where they get like five
- 15:05Speaker 9: groups together because you really only want to hear about,
- 15:07Speaker 9: you know, four to six of their songs and there's
- 15:10Speaker 9: really not an opener. There's really not a close like
- 15:12Speaker 9: someone gets to close it, but there's no headline. Yeah,
- 15:14Speaker 9: because they're all playing like just their hits, and that's
- 15:17Speaker 9: what you love to hear that.
- 15:20Speaker 4: See, this is this is why you're, you know, a
- 15:23Speaker 4: meathead radio brethren. Like I knew I would throw the
- 15:26Speaker 4: question out there and you won. Up this the Burnt
- 15:28Speaker 4: CD Tour. We've got a name. Location, all right, let's
- 15:33Speaker 4: think about location. Where would be a prime location for
- 15:35Speaker 4: the Burnt CD Tour?
- 15:38Speaker 9: Oh gosh on colem But you probably played at a
- 15:40Speaker 9: smaller little venue, like a little indoor outdoor. They call
- 15:44Speaker 9: it Promo West is what it used to be called.
- 15:47Speaker 9: That's what you probably will do it some about five
- 15:49Speaker 9: thousand people have to you know, where it's not too
- 15:52Speaker 9: big because it's just you've had that nice intimate feel
- 15:54Speaker 9: you're looking for.
- 15:55Speaker 3: All right. I mean you've got the location, you've got
- 15:57Speaker 3: the name.
- 15:57Speaker 4: We are ready to go. We'll see if we can
- 15:59Speaker 4: get that done. Bob, want to have you on today.
- 16:03Speaker 4: I don't have a chance to really talk as much
- 16:06Speaker 4: broad college football anymore since I made the change over
- 16:08Speaker 4: to NFL radio. So like my college talk is more
- 16:12Speaker 4: focused on LSU and more focused on the SEC.
- 16:16Speaker 3: So one to have you on talk a.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Little Big ten football, because well, the Big Ten's won
- 16:21Speaker 4: national championships right three straight years and it's been three
- 16:24Speaker 4: different teams, and last year it was Indiana of all teams.
- 16:28Speaker 3: And so as you.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Take a look post spring at some of the top
- 16:32Speaker 4: teams there, is it going to be the usual suspects
- 16:35Speaker 4: of Ohio State and Indiana being back there where the
- 16:39Speaker 4: Michigan Wolverines, where the Oregon Ducks kind of post spring
- 16:42Speaker 4: right now, who do you think are the teams right there?
- 16:45Speaker 4: Let's say even the top three heading into fall camp.
- 16:49Speaker 9: I would say you got Ohio State number one, you
- 16:53Speaker 9: got and then this really is in any particular order.
- 16:55Speaker 9: I would say Ohio State, he got there, got four again,
- 16:58Speaker 9: and I would stay Indiana are kind of the cluster
- 17:01Speaker 9: of three teams I think are going to be at
- 17:02Speaker 9: the top. And ironically, like Dan Lanning, he's kind of
- 17:06Speaker 9: like Sharks. He's getting in that area now, that territory
- 17:09Speaker 9: where you become the best coach who hasn't won a
- 17:12Speaker 9: national championship, like and you know, it's cool to be
- 17:15Speaker 9: on that list when you're like, you know, in coaching
- 17:18Speaker 9: for two or three years, but when you've been but
- 17:21Speaker 9: when you've been coaching now at a place that's really
- 17:23Speaker 9: good for as long as you have been, it's just
- 17:27Speaker 9: crazy that at some point you got to get over
- 17:30Speaker 9: the top, and Lyon would be able to get over
- 17:31Speaker 9: the top. And you know you've got Shark, You've got
- 17:35Speaker 9: Dan Lanning, and so this is kind of Dan Lanning's time.
- 17:37Speaker 9: I mean, you know, they've got limitless resources, they've got
- 17:40Speaker 9: great players, they've got everything you need out there, and
- 17:43Speaker 9: so it feels like, you know, we've been in the
- 17:45Speaker 9: playoffs a couple of years with the number one overall streets.
- 17:47Speaker 9: Two years ago, had a couple of rough losses in
- 17:50Speaker 9: the tournament. Maybe now it's time to kick through below that.
- 17:54Speaker 9: I think you've got Michigan, I think you've got Penn State,
- 17:59Speaker 9: and I think you've got USC. And the good question
- 18:02Speaker 9: for me with Lincoln Riley is he's in that conversation.
- 18:05Speaker 9: You know, it's one of the best to not win it.
- 18:07Speaker 9: He's been close, but he hasn't really been all that good.
- 18:10Speaker 9: Since he's at USC. They've had good offenses, but as
- 18:13Speaker 9: a team they haven't really excelled. And so it's funny.
- 18:17Speaker 9: I was talking to my pros the other day, would
- 18:19Speaker 9: you rather take over the next three to five years
- 18:21Speaker 9: a future on the future on Indiana or a future
- 18:26Speaker 9: on USC is being a better program, and frankly, right now,
- 18:29Speaker 9: I probably lean into Indiana.
- 18:32Speaker 4: I don't think you'd have much argument right now, which
- 18:35Speaker 4: sounds crazy, but I think that is factual. And as
- 18:37Speaker 4: you were listening to some of those teams, Bobby, I'm
- 18:39Speaker 4: sitting there thinking of a couple of different questions, and
- 18:41Speaker 4: I'll start with kind of the first group Oregon right now,
- 18:46Speaker 4: like where are they ready.
- 18:48Speaker 3: To get over that hump?
- 18:50Speaker 4: Because they've been good, They've been really good, and they
- 18:53Speaker 4: they've got Dan Lanning, who's this physical coach, and they've
- 18:55Speaker 4: had offenses and quarterbacks and they've had the things that
- 18:58Speaker 4: you have to have whatever reason. And you know, I
- 19:03Speaker 4: watched him get punched right in the mouth from the
- 19:05Speaker 4: very first play from Indiana. They never got off the canvas.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Like what happens to them when it gets playoff time again?
- 19:12Speaker 4: Do they finally have what it takes to get over
- 19:14Speaker 4: that home well?
- 19:16Speaker 9: And what's interesting this year? You know last year, Dante Moore,
- 19:19Speaker 9: you know, started a year last of eligibility. Everyone thought
- 19:21Speaker 9: he was going to come out, and he comes back.
- 19:25Speaker 9: If you look at the last couple of National Championship championship,
- 19:29Speaker 9: you look at Mendoza, you look at Earl Howard. You
- 19:32Speaker 9: looked at JJ McCarthy, you look at Studston Benn and
- 19:34Speaker 9: at Georgia who's been playing for eighteen years. You have
- 19:36Speaker 9: a veteran quarterback now, so that should helped steady everything.
- 19:40Speaker 9: And they did. You know, they had a veteran quarterback
- 19:43Speaker 9: a couple of years back. But now you've got you've
- 19:45Speaker 9: got Dante Moore who was all everything, and transferred him
- 19:47Speaker 9: from USC or U s LA. He sat and he
- 19:51Speaker 9: was able to develop. Looks good last year. The question,
- 19:54Speaker 9: like you post there is a very good one is
- 19:56Speaker 9: the fact that, like you have Dan Lanning, who's he's
- 19:59Speaker 9: he's a line coach by trade, and so that's where
- 20:01Speaker 9: toughness begins. And it looks like they've gotten beat up
- 20:04Speaker 9: a little bit in some of those games by Ohio
- 20:06Speaker 9: State and by Indiana, and that I know that's something
- 20:09Speaker 9: that they've been working on. I talked to people that
- 20:11Speaker 9: have been up there, and they're focusing on toughness, toughness, toughness,
- 20:13Speaker 9: running the ball, being physical on defense. And it's not
- 20:16Speaker 9: like they're a solid program, but in those big games,
- 20:19Speaker 9: that's what it kind of looked like. And so I'm
- 20:21Speaker 9: curious that's the big question can make it over that
- 20:24Speaker 9: like physical element that help light there to be able
- 20:27Speaker 9: to make that push through.
- 20:29Speaker 3: All right, let's go to another group that you talked
- 20:31Speaker 3: about there. Who's in that.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Next tier and that's the Michigan Wolverines and Bryce Underwood,
- 20:36Speaker 4: somebody that came into college with as much fanfare as
- 20:39Speaker 4: any freshman quarterback possibly can, Like it was like Peyton
- 20:43Speaker 4: Manning levels. It was Arch Manning almost level, Like it
- 20:46Speaker 4: was that talked about and we know, like the dollar
- 20:49Speaker 4: amount that he got and maybe it's you know, because
- 20:52Speaker 4: we were here at LSU and he was committed to
- 20:54Speaker 4: LSU for such a long time, maybe it was a
- 20:56Speaker 4: bigger story here, but it felt like around the country
- 20:58Speaker 4: like him going to Michigan was like almost guaranteed success
- 21:02Speaker 4: and it hasn't really been that. And you've got a
- 21:05Speaker 4: new coaching staff, it's going to be a lot of
- 21:07Speaker 4: new you haven't heard great things coming out of Ann
- 21:09Speaker 4: Arbor for the all season. Where is Michigan and where
- 21:12Speaker 4: is Bryce Underwood as we head into this season?
- 21:15Speaker 9: Well, you know, you guys knew about it. It was
- 21:17Speaker 9: close in personal year Ohio statement, Oh my gosh, he's
- 21:20Speaker 9: sayed ten million dollars or whatever it was for this quarterback.
- 21:23Speaker 9: And like you know this, I too think stars stars
- 21:26Speaker 9: matter somewhat. I look at him in an aggregate, like
- 21:29Speaker 9: you obviously want to have the the best players you
- 21:31Speaker 9: can and are rated out of high school, but that
- 21:33Speaker 9: doesn't necessarily guarantee you success on an individual player basis.
- 21:37Speaker 9: And you know, Bryce Underwood is a great athlete. He's
- 21:41Speaker 9: got a live on He looked pretty good last year
- 21:44Speaker 9: for you know, freshman starter, first year starter. You feel
- 21:47Speaker 9: like he was, you know, playing pretty well and like
- 21:50Speaker 9: there were decent too must year. They're a good team.
- 21:53Speaker 9: You're going to take the step now they've had all
- 21:55Speaker 9: the coaching issues and everything. But I think you'll value
- 21:58Speaker 9: Kyle Whittingham as much as I do, and how how
- 22:00Speaker 9: tough of a coach he is, and how good of
- 22:02Speaker 9: a coach he is, and what he did in Utah.
- 22:05Speaker 9: And I was talking your guy former teammate Eric Weddle,
- 22:08Speaker 9: who played for winning him at Utah, Like, I don't
- 22:11Speaker 9: know if you heard his comments where he goes, you know,
- 22:14Speaker 9: a backup better be ready because he might be coming
- 22:16Speaker 9: in in the second half. And I'm listening to guh
- 22:18Speaker 9: say down and taking man, if you believe like this
- 22:20Speaker 9: Michigan team's so good, they're going to be vote racing people.
- 22:23Speaker 9: And then he kind of elaborated moment said, yeah, no,
- 22:26Speaker 9: I don't think right. Underwood's the guy like you're going
- 22:28Speaker 9: to be able to throw from the pockets. You've got
- 22:30Speaker 9: to be able to play it that way. And I'm thinking, wow,
- 22:33Speaker 9: Like that's the pretty steven thinker is you'd always do that.
- 22:36Speaker 9: That big jump usually happens between the first year and
- 22:39Speaker 9: second year as a starter, And so I think there
- 22:41Speaker 9: is some concern about, you know, he's a great actually
- 22:44Speaker 9: he got a live on but how good of a
- 22:46Speaker 9: quarterback is he? Actually?
- 22:48Speaker 4: Yeah, And if I'm a Michigan Wolverine fan and I
- 22:50Speaker 4: hear some things like that, man, I am terrified. I
- 22:53Speaker 4: am terrified of what we did to make sure he
- 22:56Speaker 4: got on campus. And I'm also terrified in the lack
- 22:59Speaker 4: of development. And that's going to be something that he
- 23:02Speaker 4: has to be good. He has to be great. I
- 23:04Speaker 4: think for Michigan to have an opportunity and Bobby, it's
- 23:06Speaker 4: the slippery slope of putting so much time and effort
- 23:10Speaker 4: into a high school prospect. And look, I hate even
- 23:13Speaker 4: saying that because like when I was coming out of
- 23:15Speaker 4: high school, if it was today's world, I probably don't
- 23:17Speaker 4: get a scholarship to LSU because of where I was
- 23:19Speaker 4: rated coming out of high school. But everybody used to
- 23:22Speaker 4: take a certain amount of high school players and that's
- 23:24Speaker 4: the way it was because that's how you acquire players.
- 23:26Speaker 4: But now it's like, Okay, do I want to go
- 23:29Speaker 4: get the guy that we think is going to be
- 23:31Speaker 4: incredible as a freshman because I understand you get, you know,
- 23:35Speaker 4: a job to do in high school recruiting still, but
- 23:37Speaker 4: it's like, or do I want to give that money
- 23:39Speaker 4: to the guy that's done it for two years in
- 23:41Speaker 4: the Big twelve and I think he can make the
- 23:42Speaker 4: transition to the Big ten.
- 23:44Speaker 9: Oh that's and that's the question there is like, hey,
- 23:47Speaker 9: do you want to get young players? I do because
- 23:49Speaker 9: you want them in your program, but you've got to
- 23:50Speaker 9: hit on him and you know that there's a lot
- 23:52Speaker 9: harder to do that. Like you get to the Cleveland
- 23:55Speaker 9: Browns trade the name of Miles Garrett, people were complaining
- 23:57Speaker 9: I only got one first. It's got cheers. Burd Se
- 24:00Speaker 9: was the first round pack. He's been a two time
- 24:01Speaker 9: pro bowler, Like give me that guy as opposed to
- 24:04Speaker 9: an unproven commodity that you're just taking. And that's the
- 24:07Speaker 9: same thing now with recruiting in college, where if you
- 24:12Speaker 9: want to be able to recruit and develop those guys
- 24:13Speaker 9: because it shows that you've got a culture in your program,
- 24:17Speaker 9: you're a company coach, and you can do all those
- 24:19Speaker 9: things that everybody wants to see. But there is a
- 24:22Speaker 9: risk that when you get that guy, he doesn't end
- 24:24Speaker 9: up being the player that you want him to be,
- 24:27Speaker 9: and especially now, and this is the reality. We're talking
- 24:30Speaker 9: about this in a salary era, Like you allocate a
- 24:33Speaker 9: lot of resources to him. Now you can't and he
- 24:38Speaker 9: can't overplay that allocation. Those are dollars you could be
- 24:42Speaker 9: spending on other positions, and that becomes a little bit
- 24:45Speaker 9: dangerous now as they try to figure all this thing out.
- 24:48Speaker 9: If he doesn't become that electric playmaker, you're paying a
- 24:51Speaker 9: lot to the dude who maybe isn't playing that well.
- 24:55Speaker 4: All right, Bob, I want to get your thoughts on
- 24:57Speaker 4: the team that we cover every single day and kind
- 24:59Speaker 4: of get an outsider's perspective on the LSU Tigers. It's
- 25:03Speaker 4: been very quiet all season, Bob. Nothing happening down here.
- 25:07Speaker 4: You know, not a lot of things going on. You know,
- 25:10Speaker 4: the basketball Will Waite situation has been very quiet. Lane
- 25:13Speaker 4: Kiffick coming over, as you know, that was a quiet
- 25:15Speaker 4: situation as well. But when you take a look at
- 25:18Speaker 4: LSU and Sam Levitt, a quarterback that you and I
- 25:21Speaker 4: have spent a lot of time talking about when he
- 25:22Speaker 4: was at Arizona State, certainly of the year they made
- 25:25Speaker 4: the playoff run with Camp Scataboo in that whole bunch,
- 25:28Speaker 4: how do you view LSU knowing what last year looked
- 25:31Speaker 4: like the expectations. You beat Clemson the first game, it
- 25:35Speaker 4: looked like the sky was the limit. But how do
- 25:36Speaker 4: you feel about the LSU Tigers on the outside looking in?
- 25:40Speaker 9: Well, I mean, if Sam a lother plays like he
- 25:42Speaker 9: did before he got hurt, you feel like you've got
- 25:44Speaker 9: the quarterback sitsum situation straighten up. You know, Lane Kiffins
- 25:47Speaker 9: the coach offensive football, so they should have a pretty
- 25:49Speaker 9: good offense. The question then becomes hester is this is
- 25:54Speaker 9: the same year last year at LSU defense and she
- 25:56Speaker 9: had become accustomed to for the last thirty years being great,
- 26:00Speaker 9: Like they've got to step up and play well, and
- 26:03Speaker 9: you know, bringing back in at home, which I think
- 26:05Speaker 9: is awesome because it's like, hey, everybody knows the guy
- 26:08Speaker 9: can recruit, he's a great position coach. Is the react
- 26:10Speaker 9: streat with the players. Maybe not the best of managing
- 26:13Speaker 9: the program, but you put him in a role where
- 26:15Speaker 9: he's gonna have success and he's endeared and loved by
- 26:18Speaker 9: the program. So I like that. But it's gonna to
- 26:21Speaker 9: me have to come down to that defense, like how
- 26:23Speaker 9: good is that defense and what the thing's been able
- 26:26Speaker 9: to build there and will they be able to have
- 26:28Speaker 9: success like that?
- 26:30Speaker 4: All right, Bob, on the way out, what's the workout
- 26:32Speaker 4: looking like today? Did we already get it in? Are
- 26:35Speaker 4: we about to head to the facility right now? And
- 26:40Speaker 4: have we done the the the you know, the one
- 26:43Speaker 4: ten tests yet to keep up with our high state.
- 26:44Speaker 4: I'm not sure if they're they're back working out yet,
- 26:47Speaker 4: because I know you like to do the Friday conditioning test.
- 26:50Speaker 3: If the boys are back and working.
- 26:51Speaker 9: Out, they're back. I am actually not working out today.
- 26:56Speaker 9: I'm gonna get it in tomorrow. I'm heading up for
- 26:58Speaker 9: the memorials. I know it's a little crazy. I'm heading
- 27:01Speaker 9: up to the Memorial Tournament. Today I spent some time
- 27:04Speaker 9: with some friends and my lovely wife up there. So
- 27:07Speaker 9: it's beautiful. It's nice out to The workouts going to
- 27:10Speaker 9: have to be put off till tomorrow. I know it's crazy,
- 27:12Speaker 9: but you know, I've still been running. I've still been
- 27:15Speaker 9: running the one tens and the gasterers and all the work.
- 27:18Speaker 9: And so I'm anticipating my birthday. I'll give you a
- 27:21Speaker 9: fill in on August first, I'm able to complete it again.
- 27:24Speaker 9: But yeah, we're going to take a little little hiatus
- 27:26Speaker 9: for today.
- 27:27Speaker 3: All right. Don't forget who you are, Bob. I'm just saying,
- 27:29Speaker 3: don't forget who you are.
- 27:32Speaker 9: Don't forget what guy's here, all right, that's true.
- 27:34Speaker 4: You know, Oh Bob, we appreciate it, man. It's good
- 27:37Speaker 4: to hear your voice. Good to catch up, and we'll
- 27:38Speaker 4: do it again soon.
- 27:40Speaker 9: Always to appreciate you, all right.
- 27:42Speaker 4: That is our guy, Bobby Carpenter, a serious XM college
- 27:45Speaker 4: football of course, former Buck guy, first round pick of
- 27:48Speaker 4: the Cowboys, and my meat head brethren. Always pleasure this guy.
- 27:51Speaker 4: Every year moves on his birthday. He does whatever the
- 27:55Speaker 4: Ohio State football conditioning test is. That's how he celebrates
- 27:58Speaker 4: his birthday every year. Whatever they do for their test.
- 28:01Speaker 4: He does it as well.
- 28:03Speaker 6: I gotta respect that level of commitment to the program still,
- 28:06Speaker 6: Like I mean, that's you hear all the time, Like
- 28:09Speaker 6: you know, once a tiger, always a tiger, wants a
- 28:11Speaker 6: buck out. That that's the definition of what's a Buckeye,
- 28:14Speaker 6: always a Buckeye. Oh it's my birthday. What do you
- 28:16Speaker 6: want to do? Work out college football strength and conditioning?
- 28:21Speaker 3: Yes, and he does. He does it every every year.
- 28:26Speaker 3: He does whatever the conditioning test is.
- 28:28Speaker 4: And I'm pretty sure on Fridays most Fridays he runs
- 28:31Speaker 4: the one tens with him as well. Whatever they do
- 28:33Speaker 4: now occurs or I don't even know if you're allowed
- 28:35Speaker 4: to do one tens anymore, but whatever it is.
- 28:38Speaker 5: I bet I bet they're pissed when Bobby shows up
- 28:40Speaker 5: because you know he's going to do well, and I
- 28:43Speaker 5: mean he's well out of college. They probably hate.
- 28:45Speaker 6: It, like you can't let Bobby outwork. Oh damn, Bobby's
- 28:51Speaker 6: here today. Everybody kick it in the year.
- 28:55Speaker 4: You know, they are like that old Man's why the
- 29:00Speaker 4: streets coach is gonna be like you go to forty
- 29:01Speaker 4: two year old over there.
- 29:04Speaker 5: God, Bobby, get it, Bob, you're old and in shape.
- 29:07Speaker 6: Bob, go home, Yeah.
- 29:09Speaker 4: Get out of here, Bob. All right, we will take
- 29:12Speaker 4: a break. We've got more O t B coming your way.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Before we do.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Hit that break button, though, I want to tell you
- 29:16Speaker 4: about our friends over at Tommy's Windows Doors insiding Go

- 29:35Speaker 3: You want to go ahead? I was not.

- 29:55Speaker 2: Off the bench.
- 30:00Speaker 10: We're still alive, but I'm barely breathing, just praying to
- 30:06Speaker 10: a god that I don't believe in. Because I got
- 30:11Speaker 10: time out, she got freedom, because when a hot breaks
- 30:16Speaker 10: Norman don't break.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Even from the locker room to the airwaves. It's off
- 30:21Speaker 1: the bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 30:28Speaker 5: Up. She's where are they?
- 30:33Speaker 3: Ass where's the script?
- 30:36Speaker 6: Because wearing the hot breaks, don't they're preparing for the
- 30:39Speaker 6: Burnt CD tour how.
- 30:40Speaker 4: They are and they're like the back end of the
- 30:43Speaker 4: Burnt City or like, you know, they barely got to
- 30:45Speaker 4: the burn CD.
- 30:47Speaker 6: There, they're there, It's there for sure.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Let me add them to the lift.
- 30:56Speaker 9: You got.
- 30:58Speaker 5: Pig's reaching out to all these bands.
- 31:00Speaker 6: I'm just saying, at a radio company that has, you know,
- 31:04Speaker 6: two music stations, I feel like we could kind of
- 31:07Speaker 6: put this thing together.
- 31:08Speaker 11: All right, So the script Lifehouse, turn to send to
- 31:12Speaker 11: Michelle after the show's twenty Matchbox, The Fray, Pray h
- 31:19Speaker 11: the Wallflowers, the Wallflowers, what do we say, Lifehouse?
- 31:23Speaker 3: There? Google Dolls might be the headliner.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Yeah, Google Dolls have to be on there.
- 31:28Speaker 5: Palmer's is there, third Eyeline?
- 31:32Speaker 6: Yeah, they got absolutely gonna be.
- 31:34Speaker 3: On thee.
- 31:38Speaker 11: All right, all right, the script Lifehouse, Matchbox twenty, The Fray,
- 31:43Speaker 11: the Wallflowers, Google Dolls.
- 31:45Speaker 3: Third Aybline.
- 31:46Speaker 6: That's a lineup, right, There is a lineup. Kings of Leon, Yeah,
- 31:50Speaker 6: Kings of Leon. Where'd they go? I mean that's definitely there.
- 31:53Speaker 6: Where did they go?
- 31:55Speaker 3: Where'd they go? All Right? I'm liking this.
- 32:04Speaker 4: This feels like a like I don't want to have
- 32:06Speaker 4: it just like in the River Center, Like I wanted
- 32:09Speaker 4: to be different. I want to be something a little
- 32:10Speaker 4: bit unique. And I know, like we typically have like
- 32:14Speaker 4: the big, big, big concerts in Tiger Stadium.
- 32:16Speaker 3: That's not what this is. That's not what this is.
- 32:18Speaker 3: But it could be at the box.
- 32:21Speaker 6: I think it needs to be bigger than that. Oh
- 32:22Speaker 6: do you I mean the boxes between ten and thirteen. Well,
- 32:26Speaker 6: I mean you'd have the field field seats. I mean
- 32:29Speaker 6: you could put you know, probably thirty k in their
- 32:32Speaker 6: field seats. I would think, I like the box, I
- 32:35Speaker 6: I mean you got your ten ten in the stands,
- 32:37Speaker 6: suites gott to fit at least twenty on the field.
- 32:40Speaker 5: This is an outage center.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Put stage in center, so maybe like the outfield seats
- 32:45Speaker 3: might actually be.
- 32:46Speaker 4: Kind of closed off. Yeah, but you're right, you're gonna
- 32:49Speaker 4: have some floor seats.
- 32:52Speaker 3: I'd be interesting, Daniel.
- 32:54Speaker 6: I just I think there'd be more demand though for it.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Daniel switch Foot, Oh.
- 32:59Speaker 5: Switch foots on there?
- 33:00Speaker 6: Which what's gotta go on there?
- 33:01Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 33:02Speaker 3: One and write that one down?
- 33:06Speaker 6: Which where did they go?
- 33:13Speaker 3: Where did they go? Guys? Where did they go? Look?
- 33:17Speaker 3: Kings of Leon are still relevant? I know, easy, I
- 33:20Speaker 3: know they are still relevant, but not to.
- 33:22Speaker 5: Where they were, right, like like Luke Mitchen Shine Down.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Yes, but they were the headlining jazz fest.
- 33:27Speaker 4: No, like all of these bands that we're talking about
- 33:30Speaker 4: could be a jazz fests like their bombs one hit Wonders.
- 33:35Speaker 5: All of these names are going to be the smaller
- 33:36Speaker 5: font on the poster a jazz fest.
- 33:38Speaker 3: Yes, absolutely, huh, I'm loving all right, Jason.
- 33:47Speaker 5: Maraz m or do you uh you got trained on
- 33:51Speaker 5: the list?
- 33:51Speaker 3: No, don't have trained trained on the list?
- 33:54Speaker 6: Yeah, trained for sure, train.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 34:02Speaker 4: I don't nickelback nickelback fields they might be a little
- 34:05Speaker 4: too much for this.
- 34:06Speaker 6: I was about to say they don't fit the genre here.
- 34:09Speaker 6: That's definitely more Divorced dad rock.
- 34:12Speaker 5: Nickel backs a little bit heavier, but also like they
- 34:15Speaker 5: were round longer. Like I get that they don't do
- 34:18Speaker 5: much anymore, but they they were around longer.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So we don't have any solo artists on this.
- 34:23Speaker 5: But somebody else put it in the chat. Good point.
- 34:25Speaker 5: We got Candlebox. Did they fit?
- 34:29Speaker 3: Are they big enough to be on this list?
- 34:32Speaker 6: I would say I would say no, but it's not
- 34:35Speaker 6: they didn't have a good run, right, They're good, yeah.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Just not for this list. We do need maybe a
- 34:41Speaker 3: solo artist? Do we maybe one?
- 34:45Speaker 6: All right?
- 34:46Speaker 3: Do we go ahead and just pull the trigger on Gavender?
- 34:49Speaker 5: I was actually about to.
- 34:49Speaker 6: Say, you had you had a Jake just wanted to
- 34:53Speaker 6: get Gavin to grow on the bill, Okay, that's all
- 34:56Speaker 6: he wanted.
- 34:57Speaker 5: Jake just wants to see Gavin de Graw in concerts
- 34:59Speaker 5: about I don't want to have it.
- 35:05Speaker 3: I can see.
- 35:06Speaker 5: I can see Jake being like Katie, we're gonna be late,
- 35:07Speaker 5: We're gonna miss Gavin de Girl's song.
- 35:10Speaker 4: He's got more than that. Cheriot's a danger he does,
- 35:13Speaker 4: all right? Tell me y'all, wouldn't I go pay money
- 35:16Speaker 4: to go see that?
- 35:17Speaker 6: I would go to that show.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Life House is on the list already. John Mary is
- 35:22Speaker 3: too big to.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Be No one's forgotten about John Mayor.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Mayor is like my favorite artist, so like I, I
- 35:28Speaker 4: would definitely want him to be there, but he's too
- 35:30Speaker 4: big for that.
- 35:31Speaker 3: You check out John Mayer on Serious six Channel four.
- 35:36Speaker 8: Uh.
- 35:37Speaker 11: Ryan Cabrera, mhm, he had two songs, but yeah, like
- 35:43Speaker 11: again big enough to make the list.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Rock the Box Music Festival. Okay, hey, okay, okay.
- 35:53Speaker 5: There's been worse names.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Oh man, it's not bad.
- 35:59Speaker 6: I still favorite Burnt CD. The Rock the Box the Box.
- 36:04Speaker 5: Rock the Box is good, but it's on everybody's burnt CD,
- 36:07Speaker 5: like it has to be there.
- 36:10Speaker 3: This is so good.
- 36:11Speaker 5: Daniel Besham says, dawtry.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Could be.
- 36:15Speaker 6: It could be, which maybe a little too heavy, though
- 36:18Speaker 6: too heavy, but we were.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Talking about three Doors Down was supposed to open for Nickelback.
- 36:25Speaker 5: They were replaced by Dultry.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yep, so it was.
- 36:30Speaker 5: It was Creed Indultry.
- 36:32Speaker 6: I still think a little too heavy.
- 36:35Speaker 5: And people still people still know Creed, like people are
- 36:38Speaker 5: still talking.
- 36:39Speaker 6: About Creed came back though, man like they were forgotten
- 36:42Speaker 6: and they were like, hey, hey, wait a minute, now
- 36:45Speaker 6: we're still Scott Staff was like, listen, you still.
- 36:47Speaker 4: Remember the halftime show Cowboys game back in Thanksgiving in

- 38:06Speaker 5: a good one.
- 38:08Speaker 4: You won't in the burn CD tour. It's got one stop,
- 38:11Speaker 4: so it's not really a tour. Yeah, but but we
- 38:14Speaker 4: could make it a stop. We could go from the

- 41:10Speaker 4: All right, let's get to a little bit of Ask
- 41:13Speaker 4: the Bench here, of course, asked Bench brought to you
- 41:15Speaker 4: by Ice Cool dos sekis go for dose this weekend,
- 41:19Speaker 4: kick the feed up, watch a little NBA Finals, and
- 41:21Speaker 4: go for dose hashtag asked the Bench. If the NFL
- 41:26Speaker 4: didn't work out, what was planned B. Plan B for
- 41:29Speaker 4: me was I was going to PT school. It's gonna
- 41:32Speaker 4: be a physical therapist. That's what the major was. That's
- 41:35Speaker 4: what I wanted to do, and so that was Plan
- 41:37Speaker 4: B at the time. Definitely not talking on the radio
- 41:41Speaker 4: for six hours today. That was definitely not in the plans.
- 41:45Speaker 4: I didn't go to journalism school. I didn't do any
- 41:47Speaker 4: of the things that you know, you prepare for a
- 41:49Speaker 4: radio career. I started radio in San Diego when I
- 41:53Speaker 4: was a player and really enjoyed it, did it in
- 41:55Speaker 4: the off season, kept doing it ever since, and would
- 41:57Speaker 4: do a little here, a little there, just to try
- 41:59Speaker 4: to get reps in. Said yes to every interview, and
- 42:02Speaker 4: then now here we are talking six hours an what
- 42:06Speaker 4: about you boys playing B.
- 42:07Speaker 6: I don't mean I didn't play in the NFL, so
- 42:09Speaker 6: I didn't really have a well, I mean, but you know,
- 42:11Speaker 6: I didn't really have plan B. I knew I wanted
- 42:15Speaker 6: to work at sports media, so I mean I just
- 42:18Speaker 6: pursued that the whole time college all that.
- 42:21Speaker 5: Yep, So this was I did at Yeah, I did
- 42:25Speaker 5: as well. This was plan A for me. Now, if
- 42:28Speaker 5: this didn't work out, Plan B was the NFL. So
- 42:31Speaker 5: probably strong that this was plan A. NFL was planning B.
- 42:35Speaker 5: Me and Jaker just flipped, Okay, we're very similar.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Fair enough.
- 42:39Speaker 4: Hashtag asked the bench do you prefer a music festival
- 42:42Speaker 4: or just a single band concert?
- 42:44Speaker 5: Single band concert?
- 42:46Speaker 6: It depends on the fest like it depends on the festival.
- 42:49Speaker 3: A lot of the.
- 42:49Speaker 5: Festivals I don't like, you know, the the five or
- 42:52Speaker 5: six big names. I'll be like, oh, hell yeah, and
- 42:54Speaker 5: then I'm like, who are these other ten people here
- 42:56Speaker 5: that I've never heard of?
- 42:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I probably go I don't know.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Vessals are fun, but festivals are kind of like sometimes
- 43:03Speaker 4: background fodder.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Yeah right, you're not really like there to feed that person.
- 43:07Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 6: I was gonna say, have to block out a whole
- 43:09Speaker 6: day too for it. So, I mean, single band concert's
- 43:11Speaker 6: the answer. But it's a good festival.
- 43:14Speaker 4: I do like going to like I want, I'm going
- 43:15Speaker 4: to see this person, and I know when I can
- 43:17Speaker 4: show up, I know how many people are gonna be there.
- 43:19Speaker 4: I know the ins and outs, and so there's something
- 43:21Speaker 4: about that as well. Hashtag ask the bench bucket list concert.
- 43:30Speaker 6: Yeah, bucket list, I've been to everybody I really can.
- 43:33Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I that's scratch one off the list.
- 43:37Speaker 3: You're a concert guy, I mean yeah, I.
- 43:38Speaker 5: Gotta go to a lot, so m any any bucket
- 43:42Speaker 5: list I have now is someone that's not performing anymore.
- 43:45Speaker 3: So you know what, I wouldn't mind going to see
- 43:47Speaker 3: Advance Joy. I've never seen Advanced Joy in person, and
- 43:50Speaker 3: I enjoy vance Joy.
- 43:51Speaker 4: So I would like to go see him in a
- 43:53Speaker 4: very small setting maybe, uh maybe like a small festival.
- 43:57Speaker 3: That would be one for me.
- 43:58Speaker 6: I'd have to really take some time to think about this.
- 44:00Speaker 6: That's the hardest one, what I know. But that's a
- 44:02Speaker 6: hard that's mentioned about rappid fire Moose. I'm not always
- 44:07Speaker 6: great at the rapping fire.
- 44:08Speaker 4: Jake Hashtag asked the bench, Musso, does LSU have another
- 44:13Speaker 4: baseball player before Monday?
- 44:15Speaker 6: Yeah, they already got one. Dawson Park committed from Texas State,
- 44:19Speaker 6: so they got another one on the board.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Love it there you go.
- 44:22Speaker 4: Hashtag ask the bench what bands are on your beach playlist?
- 44:25Speaker 4: I would say beach first thing and think of as
- 44:27Speaker 4: Jack Johnson.
- 44:27Speaker 5: Kitty Chesney, Skinny Kenny, Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett.
- 44:31Speaker 3: I mean, we love you, we thank you, we appreciate you.
- 44:34Speaker 3: Go America.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Top the bench, all right, certainly, wan't tell you about
