Fort Wayne mourns the passing of Bill Franke, 85, co-owner of the Komets hockey team, who leaves behind a legacy of seven championships across five leagues. Before his sports legacy, he built a career at Navistar, retiring in the 90s. Loved as a father figure and friend, Bill is survived by his daughters Tammy and Rachel, siblings Steve and David, and sister Mary — with his brothers Richard and Michael, and wife Barbara, having preceded him in death.
