- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with iHeartRadio. This is
- 0:05Speaker 1: almost famous the ogs and you might recognize.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I am not I am not with my standard my
- 0:11Speaker 2: normal co host.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Today.
- 0:12Speaker 2: I am with a special guest who is joining us.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And it's not Robinson.
- 0:16Speaker 1: It's Courtney Robertson Presciato, which I think is an absolutely
- 0:22Speaker 1: stunning last name. Sure beats Guinea, which Guinea is just
- 0:26Speaker 1: doesn't roll off the tongue like Presciato does. But I'm
- 0:29Speaker 1: so glad you could join us. Courtney, thanks for coming on.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks for having me. Bob. People call me Robinson
- 0:35Speaker 3: all the time, and Butcher, my husband's name. I'm sure
- 0:38Speaker 3: you probably have some fun nickname. It's like guinea pig.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Guinea pig was the standard throughout elementary school, and then
- 0:46Speaker 1: it just got you know, then it kind of became
- 0:48Speaker 1: like gen doggin all these other things.
- 0:50Speaker 2: And then somebody started calling me kid Dynamite.
- 0:54Speaker 1: I think it might have been me that called myself that,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and it was like, you know, and George Costanza tried
- 0:59Speaker 1: to red nickname him off t bone on Seinfeld. That's
- 1:02Speaker 1: kind of what I did, and none of them stuck.
- 1:04Speaker 1: So I'm just Bob just Bob is all I get. Well,
- 1:07Speaker 1: thanks for coming on the show, and especially I mean
- 1:10Speaker 1: you were in you were in the throes of it
- 1:12Speaker 1: right now. I mean, you have two beautiful children, your husband,
- 1:16Speaker 1: Umberto Preciado and the two. You have two beautiful children
- 1:20Speaker 1: and one on the way right.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I've got a three and a half year old
- 1:24Speaker 3: two year old. It's spring break in our house and
- 1:27Speaker 3: everybody's sick, of course.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Same.
- 1:30Speaker 3: You starting to get sick too, and I'm like, oh
- 1:33Speaker 3: my gosh, can you can we get a break? I
- 1:35Speaker 3: have all these big plans and you know, but yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 3: it's so fun. I've got another boy on the way
- 1:41Speaker 3: where I'm thirty one weeks but who's counting?
- 1:45Speaker 1: Wow?
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, who's counting?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:46Speaker 2: So what is the mix here? What do you have?
- 1:48Speaker 2: You have one girl and one boy already.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Thank goodness. Yeah. My son's older, he's three and a half.
- 1:53Speaker 3: My daughter is two, and she is just a pistol.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I don't know where she gets it.
- 1:58Speaker 2: But I wouldn't fall far from the tree on that.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:01Speaker 3: The other day, and she's just got my husband wrapped
- 2:03Speaker 3: around her finger. But the other day I was like,
- 2:05Speaker 3: I am so thankful we're having another boy. I mean,
- 2:08Speaker 3: don't get me wrong, a baby is a blessing, but
- 2:10Speaker 3: she's in like the terrible twos. Oh yeah, everything is
- 2:13Speaker 3: no and the sass is real. I just I'm like,
- 2:15Speaker 3: I don't know if we could deal with another sassy
- 2:17Speaker 3: baby like this.
- 2:19Speaker 2: You know, So we have two boys, we have a
- 2:21Speaker 2: five year old lace.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I've been following you for years. I have to say,
- 2:26Speaker 3: I don't remember meeting you ever, but I've heard such
- 2:28Speaker 3: lovely things a long time ago.
- 2:32Speaker 1: No, we haven't. I've actually always wanted to meet you.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So it's so crazy.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Because I feel like I know you because I've followed
- 2:38Speaker 3: you for so long. But I know I followed you
- 2:41Speaker 3: when you were single to like seeing you meet your
- 2:43Speaker 3: wife and then this beautiful family. So how old are
- 2:47Speaker 3: your boys and are they beating each other up yet?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Or what are they are constantly beating each other up?
- 2:53Speaker 1: This five are our oldest just turned five. Grayson turned
- 2:56Speaker 1: five in December, and then Blake is two and a half.
- 3:00Speaker 1: He turned two in July of last year, so he'll
- 3:02Speaker 1: be three this July.
- 3:03Speaker 2: But he's going through it.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You talk about your daughter with the with the you know,
- 3:06Speaker 1: the spiciness, and he's you know, every Disney movie. So
- 3:10Speaker 1: I love the Disney movies and stuff, but every Disney movie,
- 3:13Speaker 1: if you start thinking about it and paying attention to it,
- 3:16Speaker 1: they're not like benign and every single movie they're like,
- 3:19Speaker 1: you know, they used the word idiot constantly. So my
- 3:22Speaker 1: little two and a half year old literally right before
- 3:24Speaker 1: we came on their my mom's here helping me with
- 3:26Speaker 1: the kids, take my wife out of town, and I
- 3:28Speaker 1: go running into change his diaper and he's.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Like, no, idiot.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm like, buddy, I'm like working hard here. Come on.
- 3:34Speaker 3: It's hard not to laugh. Sometimes I'm like I have
- 3:37Speaker 3: to leave the room. I'm like, oh my god, did
- 3:39Speaker 3: you hear what he just said?
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Where do they get it from? I have no idea, you.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Know, I don't know. It's my son is everything is
- 3:48Speaker 3: a bribe.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 3:49Speaker 3: He's like, if you give me candy, you've come to
- 3:51Speaker 3: my birthday party. I'm like, type of news for you.
- 3:54Speaker 3: I'm throwing the birthday.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I am your birthday party, buddy.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Mommy and Daddy's wallet is wire head having this
- 4:00Speaker 1: party exactly.
- 4:01Speaker 3: It was so fun and I just I love watching
- 4:04Speaker 3: you have two beautiful boys. Are you guys, done you think.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, we actually thought we were pregnant about six months ago,
- 4:11Speaker 1: and it was terrifying at first because I'm fifty three,
- 4:15Speaker 1: so it's like for me to have a kid at
- 4:17Speaker 1: this age. I mean, IBB seventy one when they graduate,
- 4:20Speaker 1: like you know, not even not even thinking about it.
- 4:22Speaker 1: But we all of a sudden thought were pregnant. And
- 4:24Speaker 1: I was like, first of all, how this happened? Because
- 4:27Speaker 1: our five year old sleeps in our bed almost every
- 4:29Speaker 1: single night at some point or not.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't. I can't get them out.
- 4:33Speaker 3: We were trying everything. We just bought bump beds. It
- 4:36Speaker 3: works two nights, and we try to make it like
- 4:39Speaker 3: a party, like it's your birthday party here. Yeah, he snores,
- 4:43Speaker 3: he's It's hard, especially when they get bigger, yau, you
- 4:47Speaker 3: know how it goes. It's like tetris, so like flipping
- 4:50Speaker 3: around all night. You're like, ah, I got kicked.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I get I feel like yeah exactly, going to say
- 4:55Speaker 1: in the face the lower back, like I'll wake up
- 4:57Speaker 1: at four in the morning and just go just get
- 4:59Speaker 1: up and take a pillow to the guy. Yeah, I
- 5:01Speaker 1: was like, why I need I need to get sometimes sleep,
- 5:03Speaker 1: But yeah, we thought we were pregnant, and we were
- 5:06Speaker 1: excited for a second because we thought, well, maybe this
- 5:08Speaker 1: would be the girl that we always wanted. But then
- 5:10Speaker 1: the more I started going down the rabbit hole, I'm like,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I mean, thankfully I'm young, in okay shape and stuff
- 5:16Speaker 1: like that, but I'm like, I'm not gonna I'm gonna
- 5:18Speaker 1: be seventy one in high school, Like this is ridiculous.
- 5:23Speaker 3: That always the graduation you think of.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I don't know, it's those eighteen years, but I'm like,
- 5:27Speaker 1: am I ever not going to have to work? Like?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Am I ever going to be able just to stay
- 5:30Speaker 1: home and enjoy some type of golden years?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Probably not?
- 5:34Speaker 3: So yeah, well that would be exciting, but I totally
- 5:39Speaker 3: get it. I was on the fence. I'm forty now,
- 5:42Speaker 3: and my husband like, if he was like, I'm good
- 5:44Speaker 3: with two, I would have been like, perfect, we've got
- 5:46Speaker 3: a boy, We've got a girl. But it was kind
- 5:48Speaker 3: of like now or never, and like that happens. Great.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I had like two kind of miscarriages leading up to
- 5:55Speaker 3: this one. So as scary as you get older too,
- 5:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, they treat me like geriatric, like I have
- 6:01Speaker 3: to go every two weeks now and it's just been
- 6:04Speaker 3: a lot harder this pregnancy, just because I'm older and
- 6:07Speaker 3: I'm just two little ones around. I can barely even
- 6:10Speaker 3: like bend over to put my shoes on.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I can only imagine. I mean, you don't.
- 6:14Speaker 1: First of all, you look radiant, you look lovely. And well,
- 6:17Speaker 1: my wife was thirty five she gave birth to Grayson,
- 6:21Speaker 1: our first, and that age they literally called they said
- 6:24Speaker 1: she was geriatric then, and she was angry as a hornet.
- 6:27Speaker 2: She was not happy with that.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Oh absolutely, But you know it's kind of nice. They
- 6:30Speaker 3: give you extra care.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's very true.
- 6:34Speaker 3: You have to do like more tech like towards end,
- 6:36Speaker 3: which is kind of nice, Like you do the NST
- 6:38Speaker 3: testing where you go and they monitor the baby closely.
- 6:41Speaker 3: So yeah, I just put a spin on it. But yeah,
- 6:44Speaker 3: it's so fun. It's honestly, it's everything I have dreamt
- 6:47Speaker 3: it to be. I mean, the days are are long
- 6:49Speaker 3: and years are short. It's so true what they say
- 6:51Speaker 3: all the Yeah, but I just I just love being
- 6:55Speaker 3: a mom.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I really Cliches are cliches for a reason though, right, Like,
- 6:58Speaker 1: I mean, they come from some and that's what I've
- 7:01Speaker 1: heard that one a lot. And I I agree with you.
- 7:03Speaker 1: I swear by it. It's like, you know, I'll stay up,
- 7:06Speaker 1: you know, like my one got sick the other night
- 7:08Speaker 1: and I stayed up with them all night, and I
- 7:09Speaker 1: had an appointment the next morning at eight am, and
- 7:12Speaker 1: I was out the door, but I was like, you know,
- 7:14Speaker 1: it's like I love him so much, and I know
- 7:16Speaker 1: you feel the same about your kids. It's like, so
- 7:18Speaker 1: i'll get sleep later, you know, I'll sleep, but I'm dead,
- 7:23Speaker 1: which for me will be much sooner than everyone else
- 7:24Speaker 1: because I'm all good.
- 7:26Speaker 3: No, you're you're fifty years young, Bob coming.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Thank you, Courtney, thank.
- 7:31Speaker 3: You, absolutely well. It's so good to connect with you. You know.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I had a friend in La Jeff Die, and he
- 7:38Speaker 3: did an interview and he asked, who are your favorite
- 7:41Speaker 3: people from the Bachelor, and he said me and Bob Guinea.
- 7:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I love him always so funny, he's it's hilarious, and
- 7:48Speaker 1: that's so cool that he said that, because I I
- 7:50Speaker 1: was literally just talking about him with a friend of
- 7:52Speaker 1: mine named Mike Young, who's a comedian also, And oddly enough,
- 7:56Speaker 1: they've got a project coming out together very soon where
- 7:59Speaker 1: Jeff actually plays a young Mike, which is pretty cool.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And but you know, I always love Jeff.
- 8:06Speaker 1: We we had some girlfriends that were really good friends
- 8:11Speaker 1: years and years and years ago, and we got to
- 8:12Speaker 1: hang out at some different things, and I just when,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you know, when other people have like this, like great
- 8:18Speaker 1: success like he has had, and I was like so
- 8:21Speaker 1: happy for him because he was one of those people
- 8:23Speaker 1: that like, you see him blowing up and you're like, yes,
- 8:25Speaker 1: finally one of the good guys. You know.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, and this was a long time ago. I
- 8:30Speaker 3: could probably send you the interview, but I thought, oh,
- 8:32Speaker 3: that's so cool, like and he's he's just a nice guy.
- 8:35Speaker 3: We had mutual friends, so but that's so cool. I
- 8:38Speaker 3: just had to mention that little name. Thank you, Abe,
- 8:41Speaker 3: I love it.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I love it. Well.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You have always been one of my favorite people from
- 8:44Speaker 1: the show. And I have to tell you the many
- 8:47Speaker 1: reasons why.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Boy, I'm ready for my compliment sandwich. Oh yeah, they come.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Here, they come well first of all, and this is
- 8:55Speaker 1: what led me to this thing from last night.
- 8:58Speaker 2: You are the only.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Person from the Bachelor and I pardon me for looking
- 9:04Speaker 1: at my phone, but I want to pull this up
- 9:05Speaker 1: so we can I.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Do this my podcast I'm like, it's.
- 9:09Speaker 2: So good, so this I'm gonna show this for us.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Let's let's watch this and then we can we can
- 9:15Speaker 1: share our feelings on it.
- 9:17Speaker 2: But these are some of.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I don't know any other person from the Bachelor who's
- 9:22Speaker 1: ever been turned into a I wouldn't say it's a meme.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I don't know what this would be called.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Oh yes, I know the Bachelor auto tune. I just
- 9:29Speaker 2: hope you can hear it.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Oh you can't. Good.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a popular one.
- 9:38Speaker 2: So good.
- 9:44Speaker 3: And then they show up.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I love it like I honestly, I don't think I've
- 9:48Speaker 1: ever even seen it before until last night.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I'm like, this is the grazt thing I've ever seen.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I can't laugh. I might peed my pants.
- 9:58Speaker 2: It's so good. But you know it's funny. Is Oh
- 10:00Speaker 2: that's right.
- 10:01Speaker 1: You can't you can't even Yeah, you can't laugh right now.
- 10:04Speaker 1: But it's so good because you know what it does.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I mean, it immediately takes me back to that season,
- 10:09Speaker 1: makes me remember all the things that you were doing
- 10:11Speaker 1: on the show that I was like, oh my god,
- 10:13Speaker 1: I just wish I had the nerve to say things
- 10:16Speaker 1: in those moments that you would just say you'd be like,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I got the road, you know, and it's.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Just good and they made an autitude. It was God
- 10:24Speaker 3: the memes that came out after my season and how
- 10:26Speaker 3: much I got made fun of it was like a
- 10:29Speaker 3: love hate. Either people like me or they hated me.
- 10:31Speaker 3: So oh, that is so funny.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Boss. I remember during my season, which was when was
- 10:47Speaker 1: when was your guys season? What?
- 10:48Speaker 2: What Bashler?
- 10:49Speaker 3: Were you guys sixteen? So I think it was like
- 10:51Speaker 3: around twenty eleven, which seems okay crazy, It seems.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Like that's with three right, you are an og That's
- 10:59Speaker 1: why I love having you on the show. Yeah, And
- 11:01Speaker 1: I was two thousand and two, two thousand and three,
- 11:04Speaker 1: right with Trista and then and then with my season,
- 11:06Speaker 1: and so you were you were eight years later and
- 11:09Speaker 1: it was still like the I'm not here to make
- 11:11Speaker 1: friends mantra, which I know I'm almost positive if it
- 11:14Speaker 1: didn't start, if someone didn't say that at least once
- 11:16Speaker 1: on my season, I know there was something that you
- 11:19Speaker 1: just like took to the next level in a way
- 11:20Speaker 1: that you were kind of like, I'm here for the
- 11:22Speaker 1: guy and this fits into my So I have a
- 11:26Speaker 1: theory about the show, and I sent it for years, Gant.
- 11:30Speaker 1: I bet you agree with it. I bet you agree.
- 11:32Speaker 1: So people always say, you know, you have any advice
- 11:34Speaker 1: for the new bachel I'm like, yeah, it's not about you,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and they're like, what do you mean. I go, well,
- 11:39Speaker 1: if the guys go on the show and they think
- 11:40Speaker 1: they're going to turn into Ben Affleck when they come
- 11:42Speaker 1: off the show, they are sadly mistaken.
- 11:44Speaker 2: You go on the show and you realize it.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Has nothing to do with you. You can have a
- 11:47Speaker 1: monkey hand and out a flower. It's they find thirty
- 11:51Speaker 1: alphas who never lose, right, they're gorgeous. They come on there,
- 11:55Speaker 1: they're like, you know, hey, and it's never about like
- 11:59Speaker 1: the guy and all of his attributes. It's about this
- 12:01Speaker 1: girl is not going to lose to that check, you
- 12:03Speaker 1: know what I mean. And every girl that they cast
- 12:05Speaker 1: in the show feels that way. You were usually the
- 12:08Speaker 1: only one who actually said it.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It was great.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I definitely got myself into some hot water with like,
- 12:14Speaker 3: you know, being like I kind of forgot the cameras
- 12:17Speaker 3: were there too, but you know, say, I interviewed Brad Smith,
- 12:20Speaker 3: the first Canadian Bachelor, and he said something very similar
- 12:23Speaker 3: to what you just said, and He's like the girls
- 12:25Speaker 3: would have come out and if there was a perking
- 12:26Speaker 3: cone there, they would have fought over it.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I believe it, and I honestly think
- 12:31Speaker 1: it is because like, you know, let's let's think about it, right,
- 12:35Speaker 1: Like you go through the process to get it on
- 12:37Speaker 1: the show. Whatever that process is for everyone. Everyone's is different,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but part of it is always like this psycha exam
- 12:43Speaker 1: or whatever. Like I didn't feel I didn't fill out
- 12:45Speaker 1: an application, I didn't make a video.
- 12:47Speaker 2: My scenario is a little bit different. But what I
- 12:49Speaker 2: did do was when the guy they melt it in, Yeah, totally.
- 12:53Speaker 2: I would have had to.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I would have to like pony express it, but they
- 12:56Speaker 1: they had to have me do the the psycho l
- 12:59Speaker 1: and that kind of stuff. Still, and all I could
- 13:01Speaker 1: think of was, I was like that, that's for a reason.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And the reason is they're they're finding people who are
- 13:06Speaker 1: like refused to lose type people and who have always
- 13:09Speaker 1: I mean, you had a successful modeling career, You've done
- 13:12Speaker 1: so much. It's like you don't get to that point
- 13:14Speaker 1: when you aren't, when you don't have some type of
- 13:17Speaker 1: you know, motivation in you, that's like burning that you're
- 13:19Speaker 1: gonna win. And so now you're looking at these girls
- 13:22Speaker 1: and you're like, whatever, here I come.
- 13:24Speaker 2: You know, I love it. I just love it.
- 13:27Speaker 3: And they were like all talking about me, like I mean,
- 13:29Speaker 3: it was just a very and then he picked me
- 13:32Speaker 3: and like, so it's rare that like the villain who
- 13:34Speaker 3: I didn't have no clue I was gonna be the villain,
- 13:36Speaker 3: Like I knew. I like stood up for myself. I
- 13:38Speaker 3: felt like it and said some sassy things. But then
- 13:41Speaker 3: you picked me and I was like, oh, now I'm
- 13:43Speaker 3: the villain. So it was I think the show Money
- 13:45Speaker 3: was the villain. I don't know if she got picked
- 13:47Speaker 3: or not, but like it was rarity, like normally they
- 13:50Speaker 3: don't end up with the villain of the season.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Yeah, And isn't it funny like the like I mean,
- 13:55Speaker 1: I've known Michelle for years, farthest thing from a villain
- 13:58Speaker 1: ever in real life.
- 14:00Speaker 3: She tells it how it is for sure.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah, She's just honest, you know, and I want to
- 14:04Speaker 1: yeah very much. So I love her so much. But
- 14:07Speaker 1: when you came off the show, so like you and
- 14:08Speaker 1: Ben come off the show, and you know the whole
- 14:11Speaker 1: I mean, first of all, that meme thing or that
- 14:13Speaker 1: that auto tune thing is so funny how they keep
- 14:15Speaker 1: poking his headed. I need to meet the dude who
- 14:17Speaker 1: did that, who did his voice, by the way, But
- 14:23Speaker 1: it was like when you came off the show and
- 14:24Speaker 1: you're getting all the feedback, you know it was was
- 14:27Speaker 1: it a lot of you know, oh my god, you
- 14:29Speaker 1: know you chose the villain or was it like I've
- 14:31Speaker 1: been rooting for you the whole time, Like what were
- 14:33Speaker 1: you hearing?
- 14:34Speaker 3: More than anything, it was a mixed bag. I mean,
- 14:36Speaker 3: obviously people that knew me wanted to know how it ended,
- 14:39Speaker 3: and you know, can't really tell, but has it started airing,
- 14:45Speaker 3: like people either loved me or hated me. And also
- 14:48Speaker 3: my season got spoiled really early on, and I lived
- 14:50Speaker 3: in Santa Monica, so I had paparazzi following me every day.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Yeah, And it was just you know, every the girls
- 14:58Speaker 3: were talking like so badly about me on the show.
- 15:01Speaker 3: And then my relationship started like as it started airing,
- 15:04Speaker 3: things were going really well between us, and then I
- 15:06Speaker 3: think he kind of started being like, how are we
- 15:08Speaker 3: gonna this is so crazy, like this is really affecting
- 15:11Speaker 3: our relationship. But yeah, yeah, it was a mixed bag
- 15:14Speaker 3: for sure. Like I'd be walking down the street and
- 15:16Speaker 3: like I remember this, Like I was on Abbot Kenney
- 15:18Speaker 3: and this guy looked at me and he's like, you're
- 15:19Speaker 3: growing on me, and I'm like okay. Like so I
- 15:23Speaker 3: just had to take it all with a grain of
- 15:24Speaker 3: salt and like just knew that like it was going
- 15:26Speaker 3: to all get washed out to see. Luckily, I wrote
- 15:29Speaker 3: my book about it, which really felt nice for me
- 15:31Speaker 3: so I could share like, Okay, this is what was
- 15:34Speaker 3: really happening, this is what I was feeling, this is
- 15:36Speaker 3: what I was going through. But yeah, so it was.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I mean, god, I'm just glad it was a long
- 15:41Speaker 3: time ago.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I know, you and me. Both people are always like
- 15:44Speaker 1: to me, they'll go, oh, you know, I haven't watched
- 15:46Speaker 1: the season since yours, And I'm like, does that mean
- 15:48Speaker 1: I ruined it for you?
- 15:49Speaker 2: Or I set the bar so low? But you know,
- 15:52Speaker 2: you never know, because my.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Fear was when they asked me to be the Bachelor,
- 15:56Speaker 1: was I was going to take the whole ship down,
- 15:58Speaker 1: you know, like I'm like, oh, great, yeah it's going
- 16:01Speaker 1: to fail after my season. Here it is twenty years
- 16:03Speaker 1: later and it's still kicking. So there you go.
- 16:06Speaker 3: I know, and look at here you are. It's been
- 16:08Speaker 3: so fun to be like in the community. And I
- 16:10Speaker 3: know you guys still do like a lot of stuff
- 16:12Speaker 3: and you're friends with Chris Harrison, and it's I think
- 16:16Speaker 3: it's a good thing. You know, it's definitely it changed
- 16:18Speaker 3: my life course, and I love it, and I might
- 16:21Speaker 3: I still watch the show. Are you watching the show?
- 16:23Speaker 3: As your wife a good sport about it?
- 16:25Speaker 2: You know?
- 16:26Speaker 1: So my wife she doesn't watch the show. And it's
- 16:30Speaker 1: funny because she's forty. She doesn't watch the show. She's like,
- 16:33Speaker 1: I just never got into it. But it's so funny
- 16:35Speaker 1: because her mom will be like, oh, we watched every episode.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'm like interesting. So someone's not tellingly true, but she is. Actually,
- 16:41Speaker 1: she actually is a really good sport about it. Like
- 16:43Speaker 1: she's the first one to say, you know, oh here,
- 16:45Speaker 1: I'll take the picture for you guys, or you know
- 16:47Speaker 1: whatever in those moments. And and my son, my five
- 16:50Speaker 1: year old, actually is kind of taken to recently, Like
- 16:54Speaker 1: I will be at like McDonald's playland or something, and
- 16:56Speaker 1: he'll come over and some people be talking and he'll
- 16:58Speaker 1: walk up. He'll go, do you know him from from
- 17:00Speaker 1: Bob the Builder? And they'll say, they'll go, Bob the Builder, no,
- 17:03Speaker 1: and he goes, I'm just kidding. It's from The Bachelor.
- 17:05Speaker 1: That's what you know him from, isn't it.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I'm like, how does he even know what that is?
- 17:08Speaker 1: You know?
- 17:09Speaker 3: That is so cool? And as you get older, it's
- 17:12Speaker 3: just gonna be something that you always have. Yeah, my
- 17:15Speaker 3: kids don't know yet, but my nephews are older and
- 17:17Speaker 3: they they YouTube me. I'm like, oh my gosh, my sister,
- 17:21Speaker 3: I like, don't let them watch this stuff.
- 17:24Speaker 1: That's Do you have anyone from the show that are
- 17:26Speaker 1: you still in touch with from you know, from your
- 17:28Speaker 1: season or even seasons other seasons that you're still tight with.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I've made a lot of friends through other seasons.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Especially I've always reached out to villains that have been
- 17:39Speaker 3: villain like it's not villainized, but like I've just offered support,
- 17:43Speaker 3: like if you need help because you you come off
- 17:45Speaker 3: the show and you like don't know how to handle
- 17:47Speaker 3: the media. Yeah, and it's just a lot and I've
- 17:50Speaker 3: lived through it. So like I'm friends with Olivia Kariti
- 17:53Speaker 3: and I love Olivia.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Yes, I've run into her so many times in the
- 17:57Speaker 2: adulta Lounge.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Oh, it's crazy resulta forever, like.
- 18:02Speaker 2: A two million mile or fly.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I fly so much and I'll see her like, hey,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and I always really liked her too.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Oh, she's so great. And then obviously some of the producers.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I still keep in touch with the Law and Gale
- 18:13Speaker 3: and my my producer, Amy Bean is my best friend.
- 18:16Speaker 3: That was the best thing that came from my season.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I love that.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Two really good girlfriends from my season, and we do
- 18:23Speaker 3: like an annual girls trip. But yeah, like I've reached
- 18:26Speaker 3: out to Maria, like I've reached out to a lot
- 18:28Speaker 3: of people, and then ye, just you know, I'm doing
- 18:30Speaker 3: the podcast now too, so I've really connected with a
- 18:32Speaker 3: lot of people through that.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Oh I'm sure. Yeah, congratulations on that by the way, too.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, thank you. Welcome Lah. So, yeah, I know what
- 18:39Speaker 3: about you. I mean, you seem like you're pretty dialed in.
- 18:43Speaker 2: You know, it's really weird. I kind of.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:48Speaker 1: No, No, I live in Michigan. I moved to Michigan,
- 18:50Speaker 1: back home where I grew up. That's where I grew up. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I came home right before COVID. My wife's from LA
- 18:55Speaker 1: she doesn't love the weather here at all. But I
- 18:58Speaker 1: moved We moved back to Michigan right before COVID, and
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm so glad I did because you know, that COVID
- 19:04Speaker 1: lockdown thing happened right and you couldn't really go anywhere
- 19:07Speaker 1: and stuff. And then my dad unexpectedly passed away during
- 19:10Speaker 1: that time. And I think my wife every day, I'm like,
- 19:13Speaker 1: I know you don't love Michigan the way I do.
- 19:15Speaker 1: I'm like, but you made something happen for me where
- 19:18Speaker 1: my dad, who was just you know, the love of
- 19:20Speaker 1: my life. My dad got to know Mike Boys and
- 19:23Speaker 1: so that to me, even though yeah, they're like my
- 19:26Speaker 1: oldest still talks about them all the time. But you know,
- 19:29Speaker 1: I don't know how on that will last. But my youngest,
- 19:32Speaker 1: you know, will never My youngest was a baby and
- 19:34Speaker 1: my dad was holding him was a month before he
- 19:36Speaker 1: passed away. But it's one of those things that I have,
- 19:39Speaker 1: those moments, you know what I mean, So like, those
- 19:41Speaker 1: are things I wouldn't have had otherwise. But yeah, we
- 19:44Speaker 1: moved home to Michigan, and so we go back and
- 19:47Speaker 1: forth a lot, like we still her family's still in California,
- 19:51Speaker 1: So we go back and forth a lot. But I
- 19:53Speaker 1: wouldn't say I'm really that dialed in. I would say
- 19:55Speaker 1: the podcast, like the iHeart Family has probably gotten me
- 19:59Speaker 1: more dialed in than I ever was before. You know,
- 20:02Speaker 1: we do like they do fun events and they'll invite
- 20:04Speaker 1: some people, and I always love being in that mix.
- 20:07Speaker 1: And I get to know a lot of the younger
- 20:08Speaker 1: people that I would never know otherwise.
- 20:10Speaker 3: And the whipper snappers.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I want to talk to you about this when you
- 20:24Speaker 2: went on Zach season.
- 20:26Speaker 1: So we're in Vegas doing something, and this beautiful brunette
- 20:30Speaker 1: walks in, sits down right next to me, you know,
- 20:32Speaker 1: and they're all talking about, you know, well, here's how
- 20:35Speaker 1: we got here. We took this you know, this car
- 20:37Speaker 1: and it's you know, like a special you know, uh,
- 20:40Speaker 1: the Hundai, you know, ironic or whatever. I don't know
- 20:43Speaker 1: how to say it properly, but it wasn't my job
- 20:44Speaker 1: to say it properly, so I didn't have to. And
- 20:46Speaker 1: the whole way through, you know, we're talking about it,
- 20:48Speaker 1: and he goes and then my boy, Bob Guiney, and
- 20:50Speaker 1: she goes to the girl next to me. He goes,
- 20:53Speaker 1: looks at me.
- 20:54Speaker 2: She goes, who's Bob Guiney?
- 20:56Speaker 1: And I looked at her and I go oh my god,
- 20:58Speaker 1: hold on, guys, and so we pointed out it was
- 21:00Speaker 1: Victoria Fuller. Yes, I do too.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I thought she was so funny in that moment.
- 21:08Speaker 1: I mean all weekend long, you know, every time I'd
- 21:10Speaker 1: see her, I'd be like, oh hi, I'm I'm bob
- 21:11Speaker 1: Ginning by the way, and you know, it was just
- 21:14Speaker 1: so sweet. She was so sweet about it. But it
- 21:16Speaker 1: was like she's like, who the hell is and I'm like,
- 21:18Speaker 1: that's me, the guy that even sitting you're talking to
- 21:20Speaker 1: you for twenty minutes. You know.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Honestly, when I did that group date with her, I
- 21:24Speaker 3: don't even know if she knew who I was, so
- 21:27Speaker 3: I think she looked me up. It was so fun.
- 21:30Speaker 3: It was so fun to be brought back. Bennett's still there.
- 21:32Speaker 3: He's like the only producer that was like from my time.
- 21:35Speaker 3: I'm sure you've met him along the way. Yes, it
- 21:39Speaker 3: was so fun to be on the other side, like
- 21:40Speaker 3: we had a trailer Victoria Fuller is so fun and
- 21:44Speaker 3: then Lotto was like the group date host, which.
- 21:48Speaker 2: I was like, what, that's a weird thing, Like just.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Like it was. It was such a blast and for me,
- 21:55Speaker 3: you know, I have two kids. I got to go
- 21:57Speaker 3: to La for twenty four hours. Yeah, and I was
- 22:00Speaker 3: tired though. By the end of the night, I was like,
- 22:02Speaker 3: oh my gosh, now they have to go film the
- 22:03Speaker 3: night portion, which I think they filmed till like four am.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I was having cheeseburgers with Jesus had an early flight.
- 22:09Speaker 3: But I was like, brought me out of retirement. So
- 22:13Speaker 3: anytime they want to have me back, I'm always down
- 22:15Speaker 3: to do something like that. Absolutely, I'm so far removed.
- 22:18Speaker 1: And I was just like, I know, I always think
- 22:21Speaker 1: because I didn't, you know, I wasn't. I didn't propose
- 22:23Speaker 1: at the end of my season. So I'm always like, well,
- 22:26Speaker 1: that's probably why they never invite me back. And then
- 22:28Speaker 1: they do the Golden Wedding and Trista's like, oh, it
- 22:30Speaker 1: was great.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I'm sitting at this table and I'm like, what.
- 22:32Speaker 3: The heck, why weren't you there?
- 22:34Speaker 1: Miami got lost in the mail. I think because I
- 22:37Speaker 1: wasn't at that one.
- 22:37Speaker 3: I would have loved to go to that.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I would have too.
- 22:40Speaker 1: They dust me off every now and then, but it's
- 22:42Speaker 1: the iHeart family that keeps me in the mix. So
- 22:44Speaker 1: I appreciate that more night.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Oh well, it's a good family to be in. I
- 22:48Speaker 3: love Amy.
- 22:49Speaker 1: She's the bomb and Sugarman is it, it is all,
- 22:52Speaker 1: She's it.
- 22:53Speaker 3: I wish I had half of her energy and just
- 22:56Speaker 3: she's brilliant.
- 22:58Speaker 1: You know, a great story about her, and I tell
- 22:59Speaker 1: this time. So I hope I don't I hope I
- 23:01Speaker 1: don't get her in trouble by telling this story.
- 23:03Speaker 3: But well you can always delete it. That's the beautiful
- 23:06Speaker 3: that's true.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Yep. So yeah, So when I was on the show,
- 23:10Speaker 1: when I came off the show, I had a little
- 23:11Speaker 1: bit of legal wrangling to contend with, but in that moment,
- 23:15Speaker 1: you know, I was I was a musician when I
- 23:17Speaker 1: went on The Bachelor, and I wasn't allowed to talk
- 23:18Speaker 1: about that while it was like in this whole thing
- 23:21Speaker 1: and the only person who brought it up on air
- 23:23Speaker 1: was Ryan Seacrest because of Amy Sugarman, And so then
- 23:27Speaker 1: I could talk about it, and I'm like, I love
- 23:28Speaker 1: Amy Sugarman. But it was awesome. You know, She's always
- 23:32Speaker 1: been that kind of person. She looks out for everybody,
- 23:34Speaker 1: and yeah, I adore her. But well, I love that
- 23:37Speaker 1: you got asked back. Maybe they'll ask me back someday.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, they absolutely should what about the Golden Bachelorette,
- 23:43Speaker 3: you'd be a shoeing.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I thought I would be the right guy for it.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I mean I was probably the same age as Gary.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Well, you could go in there. No, but you could
- 23:50Speaker 3: go on in the Golden Bachelor and you could help
- 23:52Speaker 3: the guys, you know.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh that's right. The Golden Bachelorette's coming up. I
- 23:55Speaker 1: forgot about.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Like help her, help the guys. But you're the I'll
- 24:00Speaker 3: have you back that the right thing will come along.
- 24:03Speaker 3: They'll have like a building day or something where you
- 24:05Speaker 3: could come in and you know, just don't put you
- 24:08Speaker 3: in like a speedo and do dodgeball.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I don't think I would do that, even if they asked,
- 24:13Speaker 1: I'd be like, you, guys, Yeah, there's some other dudes
- 24:15Speaker 1: out there who are far more equipped for that type
- 24:18Speaker 1: of program.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Than Tyler im or something.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I get a guy who does doesn't ever want
- 24:23Speaker 1: to wear clothes. Throw that guy out there. I'd be
- 24:25Speaker 1: out there in like a sweatshirt, you know. I'd be like, oh,
- 24:27Speaker 1: it's just cold on here, it's cold on here today.
- 24:28Speaker 1: IM used to Michigan.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Then Skin, Well, you and Trista have done a lot
- 24:32Speaker 3: together too, and they have her back all the time,
- 24:34Speaker 3: so they do.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Yeah, well she's done.
- 24:36Speaker 1: She's a I always say she's the fairy godmother of
- 24:38Speaker 1: the franchise, you know, she's She and Ryan are like
- 24:41Speaker 1: just such a great couple, and it's like they you
- 24:43Speaker 1: know he I mean, I it's interesting. When we were
- 24:46Speaker 1: on Trista's season, Ryan and I were like kind of
- 24:49Speaker 1: like bunk mates, and so yeah, throughout the whole season,
- 24:53Speaker 1: I was always like, God, I love that guy. You know,
- 24:56Speaker 1: we got honest gott I think we'd do like the
- 24:57Speaker 1: best friends outside of the show. You know. We just
- 25:00Speaker 1: got along so well, and it was like, you know,
- 25:03Speaker 1: when they end up together. It was like one of
- 25:04Speaker 1: those things where I was like, this makes sense, Like
- 25:06Speaker 1: I get it. You know, he's he's awesome. So you know,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I've always had that kind of love for them. And
- 25:11Speaker 1: then it was kind of funny. We were in Tahoe
- 25:14Speaker 1: together not too long ago, and Tristan and I laugh
- 25:16Speaker 1: about it. But trist introduced me to her son, Max,
- 25:18Speaker 1: who I met when he was a baby, but I
- 25:19Speaker 1: haven't you know, seen him in fifteen years whatever. Yeah,
- 25:23Speaker 1: and she and he's like on his phone or whatever,
- 25:24Speaker 1: and she goes Max, this is mommy's ex boyfriend, and
- 25:27Speaker 1: he just goes, hey, what's up. It was so funny,
- 25:30Speaker 1: like a fifteen year old wood.
- 25:31Speaker 3: Yeah that effect.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I totally didn't care.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I think I watched that season. But how far did
- 25:37Speaker 3: you make it? Bob? Were you like the final two?
- 25:39Speaker 2: So nope, I was.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I was right before hometown dates, so they they had
- 25:44Speaker 1: like I think we were there were eight of us
- 25:46Speaker 1: left and it was going down to four and I
- 25:51Speaker 1: was essentially number five, right, I was the guy that
- 25:53Speaker 1: that was the last one to get sent home on
- 25:54Speaker 1: that date.
- 25:55Speaker 3: So you're the Maria of this season?
- 25:57Speaker 1: Is that what I Yeah, I was just saying there
- 25:59Speaker 1: like I guess I'm going on like you know, and
- 26:01Speaker 1: then uh, and then when I didn't get the ros,
- 26:03Speaker 1: but you know what, it was one of those things.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It was like the it was like the perfect scenario
- 26:06Speaker 1: because Tristan I have always been really good friends, and
- 26:09Speaker 1: it's like even throughout that season we had more of
- 26:11Speaker 1: a friend vibe, like we were on the friend zone,
- 26:13Speaker 1: I guess. And so that was kind of cool in
- 26:15Speaker 1: a way too, because you know, then when I go
- 26:17Speaker 1: to their wedding and stuff, I'm not feeling creepy and weird.
- 26:20Speaker 1: It was like I felt kind of good being there.
- 26:22Speaker 3: No, that's really cool, that's that's super neat. Well, I've
- 26:25Speaker 3: been listening to your podcast and I love what you
- 26:27Speaker 3: guys are doing so well.
- 26:29Speaker 1: Thank you very much. I can't I'm gonna start listening
- 26:31Speaker 1: to yours too. How do we hear your podcast?
- 26:34Speaker 3: You can get it listen to anywhere you get your podcasts.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I do a Wednesday episode and usually have you know,
- 26:38Speaker 3: a guest, and then I've been doing recaps too lately
- 26:43Speaker 3: of Bachelor and then as well as like Love is
- 26:45Speaker 3: Blind and we just talked about Farmer Wants a Wife.
- 26:48Speaker 3: You know, I just love I love reality TV.
- 26:52Speaker 2: I got to see that one.
- 26:53Speaker 3: It's like recapishes. I'm like, if you're listening to my podcast,
- 26:57Speaker 3: you probably watch the show, so I don't need to
- 27:00Speaker 3: give you like the play by play of the date,
- 27:02Speaker 3: but like, let's talk about like the meat and the
- 27:04Speaker 3: potatoes of the episode. Sure it's a smart move.
- 27:09Speaker 1: So when you when you went back during Zach season,
- 27:13Speaker 1: did you feel like the show has changed a lot
- 27:14Speaker 1: when you were when you were there as a guest
- 27:16Speaker 1: or were you kind of seeing it going, Oh yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 1: I remember this exactly, you know, is it the formula
- 27:20Speaker 1: is still the same or is it the sauce change
- 27:23Speaker 1: at all?
- 27:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I definitely felt like it there. I could see
- 27:27Speaker 3: some subtle changes for sure. First of all, like I said,
- 27:29Speaker 3: Bennett was the only person and Pollie who you see
- 27:32Speaker 3: on the show once a while who helps ever get
- 27:34Speaker 3: everybody lined up for the rose ceremony. He wears like
- 27:37Speaker 3: a page boy for the listeners, so keep an eye
- 27:40Speaker 3: out for Polly. He is like the nicest guy in
- 27:42Speaker 3: the world. But everybody was new, and they definitely have
- 27:47Speaker 3: like what she might call it, uh social media. People
- 27:50Speaker 3: now at our time like allowed to do it. They
- 27:54Speaker 3: I don't even remember them taking photos. Like I got
- 27:56Speaker 3: photos from the producers that took them and then they
- 27:59Speaker 3: would send us a couple after. But they were like
- 28:03Speaker 3: having the contestants do tiktoks and stuff like at the films.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Which I thought, oh my god, that's crazy.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and like they had me and Victoria doing like
- 28:10Speaker 3: kind of some behind the scenes TikTok stuff and I
- 28:13Speaker 3: was like, I don't TikTok, I don't you know. But
- 28:17Speaker 3: so yeah, definitely some changes like that, and it's but
- 28:20Speaker 3: the dates pretty much the same. But yeah, I've been
- 28:23Speaker 3: on I went on a lot of group dates, but yeah, you.
- 28:26Speaker 1: And me both. I was I was the group date
- 28:28Speaker 1: king on my season. I kept thinking, like, how am
- 28:31Speaker 1: I still around? Like I don't even get it.
- 28:33Speaker 3: I actually did it mind group dates. I was like, okay,
- 28:36Speaker 3: like we always got to do really fun things and yeah.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Well and you always got the rose at the end
- 28:40Speaker 1: of the group dates, so that's not so bad.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. I kind of got to the point
- 28:43Speaker 3: where I was like, stop giving me the rose. You're
- 28:45Speaker 3: putting a target on my back.
- 28:48Speaker 1: I remember my most like the quickest force turnaround thing
- 28:52Speaker 1: was I had a one on one date where we
- 28:55Speaker 1: flew to Vegas and we went from like La to
- 28:58Speaker 1: Vegas or whatever. And then I got back from that
- 29:01Speaker 1: date at like three thirty in the morning. They made
- 29:04Speaker 1: me do like an ITM or whatever, and at like
- 29:07Speaker 1: five forty five in the morning, they're like, okay, so
- 29:09Speaker 1: uh let's bring it in some wardrobe and uh in
- 29:12Speaker 1: about an hour, we're gonna pick you up. We're gonna
- 29:14Speaker 1: want a hunter and Balloon date. You're gonna grab these
- 29:17Speaker 1: three people. I'm like, what, Like, I mean, I thought
- 29:20Speaker 1: that would be like later in the day They're like, no,
- 29:21Speaker 1: let's go. It was like literally that fast, and I
- 29:24Speaker 1: was like, oh my god. So whenever I watched the
- 29:26Speaker 1: show now, I'm like, I wonder, I wonder, you know
- 29:28Speaker 1: how many hours they've been at it today? You know.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Oh. I felt for Zach. He's like it was so
- 29:33Speaker 3: they had filmed the night one the night before, and
- 29:36Speaker 3: then we filmed the first group day the next day.
- 29:38Speaker 3: I thought that there was a.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Down day there was when we did it.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought so when we did it too, and
- 29:43Speaker 3: I'm like, how are you feeling, and He's like, oh
- 29:45Speaker 3: my gosh, I'm so tired. I think he probably took
- 29:48Speaker 3: like a little disco nap during the day. Sure, but
- 29:50Speaker 3: the girls were so tired too. It's not the first
- 29:53Speaker 3: night is like the roosters are crying. Oh yeah, you
- 29:56Speaker 3: see the girls leaving now, especially like on this latest
- 29:59Speaker 3: season and the son's coming up.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Yeah, they let you see it now, I know.
- 30:03Speaker 3: But then on my date that I did with Zach,
- 30:05Speaker 3: there was a girl who from that was hosting with
- 30:07Speaker 3: me that showed up to the after party, and so
- 30:10Speaker 3: I got the tea the next day because she was saying,
- 30:12Speaker 3: like I like him I think there's something here. I'm
- 30:14Speaker 3: going to go to the night portion of the date.
- 30:16Speaker 3: She said they filmed like four o'clock in the morning.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Yeah, I couldn't do a cocktail party. And so she's
- 30:22Speaker 3: he didn't keep her spoiler alert cashwan.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Oh I couldn't do it when I was twenty eight.
- 30:29Speaker 3: I remember Ari did the show. When he came back,
- 30:31Speaker 3: he kind of told filled me in on a season
- 30:33Speaker 3: and he's like, Cordy, you need too much sleep. He's like,
- 30:36Speaker 3: there's no way you could do the show. He's like,
- 30:38Speaker 3: and I slept on my season a lot. That's what
- 30:40Speaker 3: the girls complained about a lot. They're like, Courtney's always napping.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Yeah, well, You're like, hey, man, I gotta be rested.
- 30:46Speaker 3: I was like, oh, I can't pour from an empty cup,
- 30:49Speaker 3: Like I have to like conserve my energy. You know
- 30:52Speaker 3: that's funny, come out firing on all cylinders, like my daughter.
- 30:56Speaker 2: You had to be ready to go, man, Yeah.
- 30:58Speaker 3: I gotta. And also, I didn't really drink a lot
- 31:00Speaker 3: back then. Like the girls were day drinking a lot
- 31:03Speaker 3: during the day, and I've never been a huge day drinker.
- 31:06Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm gonna be like falling is sweep.
- 31:10Speaker 1: It happens to so many people, right, I mean that's
- 31:12Speaker 1: why they Yeah, so true.
- 31:15Speaker 3: But I've heard they had the drink minimum now and
- 31:17Speaker 3: then I asked somebody recently about it. Apparently it's like
- 31:20Speaker 3: two drinks an hour. I thought it was like two
- 31:23Speaker 3: drinks like through the whole date night I worked too.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Oh I could handle that.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody was talking about it and they're like, oh,
- 31:29Speaker 3: you could just save it and you could do like
- 31:31Speaker 3: two drinks right before the hour changes and then you
- 31:33Speaker 3: can do.
- 31:37Speaker 1: That's funny. So really it's it was a rule put
- 31:40Speaker 1: into effect to be a rule.
- 31:41Speaker 2: That's about it.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I loved having you on. Thank you so
- 31:46Speaker 1: much for joining us, and thanks for the show. You
- 31:49Speaker 1: are an OG and so I'm really glad that you
- 31:51Speaker 1: got to be on the almost famous OG's Hour. Real
- 31:53Speaker 1: quick before we go, So you have a baby on
- 31:56Speaker 1: the way. Have you picked out the name yet and
- 31:57Speaker 1: are you willing to share it?
- 31:59Speaker 3: Well, I I think we've narrowed it down to two
- 32:02Speaker 3: and we know the middle name is probably going to
- 32:04Speaker 3: be Richard, which is my dad's name. But I think
- 32:08Speaker 3: we've narrowed the first name down and obviously we're gonna
- 32:11Speaker 3: wait and just do it when he gets here. Sure,
- 32:13Speaker 3: but I had a couple of names I could tell
- 32:16Speaker 3: you what we're not gonna do. I really liked Keanu.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Which, oh yeah, that's a beautiful name.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Cool breeze. But my son's walking and people call him Keno.
- 32:24Speaker 3: So I was like, we can't have a Keno and
- 32:25Speaker 3: a Keanu. Just that's too much, too similar, too close.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I really liked Sonny, I really like. I liked more
- 32:33Speaker 3: of the out there names. But my husband's like a professional.
- 32:35Speaker 3: He's an attorney's like Courtney. I don't want he can't
- 32:38Speaker 3: walk into court someday and be like Sonny Presciotto here,
- 32:41Speaker 3: you know, yes, your honor. I'm like, okay, although I
- 32:45Speaker 3: do like that. Yeah, I like the kind of like
- 32:47Speaker 3: things that are out there, but yeah, those were those
- 32:50Speaker 3: are scratched off the list. I liked Otis.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Otis is cool too.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I thought so too. It's hard to name a baby.
- 32:56Speaker 3: I like, you said, you have a Grayson, right, yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 1: We have Grayson and Blake in my my wife went
- 33:00Speaker 1: my wife's favorite name was Blake, and she thought we
- 33:02Speaker 1: were going to have a girl. And then we had
- 33:04Speaker 1: a boy. I'm like, well, I like, like every guy
- 33:06Speaker 1: I know, this name, Blake is super cool, and so
- 33:09Speaker 1: we went with Blake for his name and that worked
- 33:11Speaker 1: out pretty cool too.
- 33:12Speaker 3: So I love that name. One of my best friend's
- 33:15Speaker 3: son's name is Grace and they call him Gray. Do
- 33:17Speaker 3: you call him gray?
- 33:18Speaker 2: We call him gray? We call him g Man.
- 33:20Speaker 1: So we were just down in Mexico and he was
- 33:22Speaker 1: playing with this other little boy, you know, and I'm like,
- 33:24Speaker 1: g Man, come here for a second. Little Bloy goes,
- 33:27Speaker 1: what'd you say his name was? I said, oh, I call.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Him g Man like a nickname.
- 33:30Speaker 1: I go, do you have a nickname? Meanwhile, his dad's
- 33:32Speaker 1: standing right next to me, this kid's dad, and he goes, well,
- 33:35Speaker 1: my name's Jacob, but you know, all the kids at
- 33:37Speaker 1: school call me Diamond J. And the dad goes, Dad goes,
- 33:41Speaker 1: no one's ever called him that before. I'm like, Diamond J,
- 33:44Speaker 1: what's up, dude? So Diamond J and G Man we're
- 33:48Speaker 1: running the resort in Mexico. Last week.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Oh, I saw some pictures that looked awesome. We get
- 33:54Speaker 3: to really travel with the kids, like airplane. We've done
- 33:57Speaker 3: driving to the beach, but this number will have to
- 33:59Speaker 3: do it. And if we get to Michigan ever, we'll
- 34:02Speaker 3: definitely look you up. Please do Yeah, you know what
- 34:04Speaker 3: fun place.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I'll make sure we exchange information before we before we hang.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Up in that wollow you on Instagram?
- 34:10Speaker 1: So oh perfect?
- 34:11Speaker 3: Well DM, Yeah, I'll slide into the DMS. I don't
- 34:15Speaker 3: we'll be there anytime soon. But or if you come
- 34:18Speaker 3: to Arizona, let me know.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Where about and well you know what, Oh you're Phoenix. Okay, yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 1: I love that area. I was actually there in Scottsdale,
- 34:27Speaker 1: in uh in Phoenix last year. I wish I would
- 34:29Speaker 1: have known that for golfing.
- 34:31Speaker 3: Were you golfing?
- 34:32Speaker 2: We were?
- 34:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:33Speaker 2: We stayed at the where we stay.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Venetian, the Biltmore. The Biltmore's cool.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it was really nice and some fun stuff went
- 34:42Speaker 1: out like in the in the mountains, on the on
- 34:45Speaker 1: the big.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Like Camela hiking.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 34:50Speaker 1: We had so much fun. I love it out there.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I love that weather.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Oh my god, don't.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Come in the summer seriously too much. Yeah, boring Pan
- 34:58Speaker 3: of America. But we'll I appreciate you having me anytime.
- 35:01Speaker 3: And Trish, is it ever unavailable if you need me
- 35:03Speaker 3: to swoop in I'd be happy you got it.
- 35:06Speaker 1: We will definitely keep you on a short list. Thank
- 35:08Speaker 1: you so much, Courtney Robertson, not Robinson. I knew that Bob.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Boby slappy, slappy slappy.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Tell them Berto, I said, hello, and and give the
- 35:22Speaker 1: boys and the girls my best and we're very excited
- 35:25Speaker 1: for you. Keep us posted when your new baby comes
- 35:27Speaker 1: along so we can we can have you back.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Oh, I would love to be back. All right, you
- 35:31Speaker 3: guys have a good day.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Bye, Courtney.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Audios.
