- 0:25Welcome inside the treehouse on another Friday of twenty twenty four, I believe it's
- 0:33second one. Now, happy to have you inside our little neck of the
- 0:38Internet or neck of the woods. I guess I should or appropriately say,
- 0:44I need help, gentlemen, Ray Raj, I'm being bullied and I need
- 0:51your help. Oh I, I'm fairly well versed in that, So tell
- 0:56me what's going on. Well, that's my wife. Oh yeah, that's
- 1:00what happens. So you say, I'm on my own. What the hell,
- 1:07Trey, I get no backup. When my wife was picking on me,
- 1:11that's too much heat. I'm willing to help only because you're on an
- 1:18island. So are you willing to help verbally or emotionally, but clearly not
- 1:23physically. No, no, no, absolutely not. No. She's picking
- 1:26on me because as if this year hasn't you know, started out on a
- 1:30you know, kind of a murky foot to begin with with, you know,
- 1:34the death of our dog and Terror herself actually being sick at the end
- 1:41of last year, Tray, you had the flu as well. Now I
- 1:44caught something somewhere and now she's making fun of me because I keep adding because
- 1:49I've got a cold or a sinus infection, and I keep adding d's onto
- 1:55the ends of my words. So she's making fun of me because she feels
- 2:01better now and now that I'm sick. This is what marriage can be for
- 2:07anyone that's single in thinking, what's marriage like after a certain number of years,
- 2:12it's bullying. Yeah, yeah, till till sinus infections do we part?
- 2:20Well? It is pretty bad because she says, like she actually told
- 2:23me, She says, I'm going to laugh every single time that you added
- 2:27D to words. Now when you're when you're both sick, do you do
- 2:31you go to opposite sides of the the house and stay there so you don't
- 2:37get the other one sick? Are you? Guys? Back and forth?
- 2:40Like you said, if we're both sick, then it really doesn't matter about
- 2:44But I will say it's very rare that we've been sick at the same time.
- 2:49I did it again, damn it. So like she got the flu
- 2:53when we were out of town in Seattle. I just did it again town
- 2:58and I didn't get it right. I'm at the point now in my life
- 3:04where I'm fairly certain I'm somehow immune to the flu because I've never had it.
- 3:09I've asked my mom. I said, have I ever had the flu?
- 3:13And she said, no, you were sick with everything else, but
- 3:14you never had that. I've never had it as as adult. Ironically,
- 3:17I've never had the flu vaccine, so I just seem to be immuned to
- 3:21that. I did get COVID, so I wasn't immuned to that specific flu,
- 3:27and I'm obviously not, you know, immune to other things. But
- 3:30I think it's weird to be a forty four year old man and never had
- 3:32the flu. Yeah, I don't. I don't know how much of that
- 3:38I believe. I have to talk to your mom or just have her email
- 3:43me. I don't have to talk to your mom, but you can have
- 3:45email. Because it's almost impossible to not get the flu at least once in
- 3:51your lifetime. That's why I'm saying it's a it's a shocking thing. It's
- 3:54it's it's a massive deal. I should probably be studied by science. You
- 4:00would be you would be what we would deem a medical marvel, you know,
- 4:03or just you had your programming is really good. Yeah, so medical
- 4:08marvel medical programmed you to you know, quote unquote be sick. You know,
- 4:14but just the light stuff. Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I prove
- 4:16to you Trey in in the this week's previous episode when I couldn't make it
- 4:21through the dog pole. I'm talking about our dog Joel, who passed away
- 4:26last Friday. I couldn't make it through it reading it. Yeah, so
- 4:31they down? Did they download the Sadness and Emotion software from recently? Like
- 4:35on your is that like on a New year's New Year's Day, like you
- 4:40get an update on your software. It's one of the few like useful updates
- 4:44that Yeah, no, at least at least not unaware of. For all
- 4:47I know, I could be like a replicant from Blade Runner, where you
- 4:50know, I don't know I'm a replicant. I'm just here. Yeah,
- 4:55Dan, speaking of which, can you download your Zell software? And uh
- 5:00hey that bet thanks? Uh yeah, And now this is where he goes
- 5:06that this is when the amnesia program kicks in, that one that one's running
- 5:13on all the time, no updates needed, no bugs need to be fixed.
- 5:19Yeah, that that program has run perfectly from day one. Yeah,
- 5:25I'm just like what right? As you said that, Tram surprised he wasn't
- 5:28typing in forgetful Dan upload a sad thing is I just realized that, Uh
- 5:39there's the Ambusia program. I don't know. Yeah, see there is it
- 5:42just up. It just uploaded. I just got the software update. Yeah,
- 5:45uh, glitch. I want to look up on Google if there's well
- 5:56that don't get the flu ever, like, I want to look it up.
- 5:59Uh maybe maybe the next break we take, I'll look it up and
- 6:01see if it's possible that you are just a part of a small group of
- 6:05people that are ye. Scientifically, you shall contact one of the drug manufacturers
- 6:10and see if they want to put a test on you. Might might be
- 6:13a lucrative look at a lucrative thing. Yeah, and it want to be
- 6:17idea and it won't be human testing, so it's it'll all work out.
- 6:24They'll just they'll just take enough blood where I deflat man, I just got
- 6:30that. Pete is not gonna mind because clearly I'm not a I'm not a
- 6:44dog or a cat or a rabbit. Yeah, it's just it's just mechanical
- 6:48testing, that's all it is. You know, robots don't say out a
- 6:54lot. That's good. I actually do say owl a lot. I'm glad
- 7:04they uploaded that into your vocabulary. Yeah, well, I mean, it
- 7:15sucks that if you don't get the flu, but you do get other stuff,
- 7:19like you might as well just be like, you know, let me
- 7:21just get the flu once it's it's I mean, it's just it's just a
- 7:26horrible thing, like it lasts three days. But I mean, if you're
- 7:29like I was asking Tray, like did you get did you get the ripped
- 7:31flu? Like when you're done, like you're like, hey, this was
- 7:35two weeks at the gym, you know what I mean? Like this one
- 7:40was I Now I'm I'm like when I got the parasite in India, Like
- 7:43I was miserable for four days and then I got I was walking, I
- 7:46was taking a shower for the first time in four days, and I walked
- 7:48past the mirror and I was like, I look fabulous. This strain it's
- 7:55the part that made it so bad, like the worst I have ever had.
- 7:59Uh over the body aches, Oh yeah, you were saying yeaheah.
- 8:03I felt like, I you know, someone had been just kidney punching me.
- 8:07Oh god, I've never had I haven't had COVID. Oh yeah,
- 8:11that iPad, that's a that's a that's one you know, you know,
- 8:15Yeah, uh, and you know when you've got that, like it's one
- 8:18of those things you're like, why am I this tired? Why am I
- 8:22this miserable? And then you go, let me take that test? And
- 8:24then mine was like, you know, you got to give it about five
- 8:26minutes before you can see the line thirty seconds like lit up. I was
- 8:31like, yep, think I got it. A little pop up just sexually
- 8:39says you got it. Yeah, I mean winter, Yeah, COVID dinner.
- 8:50Yeah, but uh yeah, have you taken the COVID test to see
- 8:52if that maybe instead of a sinus efectual you might have COVID. You have
- 8:56been traveling, so you could have gotten from I. I have not.
- 9:00We have a couple because Tarah took one when she was sick and then so
- 9:07we just have a couple extras. And we talked about that yesterday about me
- 9:13taking a COVID test. But I remember back when I had COVID in twenty
- 9:16twenty one, it was over about six or seven days, and I experienced
- 9:22almost all the possible symptoms that you had read about on like a two day
- 9:26stretch each, So like the possible symptoms, you know what this is supposed
- 9:37to be a safe space for friends to come together. You know that today
- 9:43it was supposed to be a safe space away from my wife bullying me about
- 9:48me adding d's on the end of my words because I'm sick, and here
- 9:52you are dogpiling. No, no, no, you said you added d's
- 9:58to the end of words, not t's to the middle of words. I
- 10:00don't know if you're if you're if your software is glitching again, but you
- 10:03said postibilities like that sounds like okay, So is that what it is?
- 10:07So Terra has already got the knas on the end of words played, So
- 10:11raj, you're you're now going to pick on me for when I throw a
- 10:13tea in the middle of a word that shouldn't be there. No, I'm
- 10:16thinking you you might have stumbled onto a million dollar idea, is your own?
- 10:22Uh like freeze dried pasta creations where you called it postibilities. I think
- 10:26that would be you could sell them, sell that in every grocery stores.
- 10:31Dance possibilities and it's just you know, different resumes. But with pasta I
- 10:35like it. I would I would eat I would eat possibilities all right.
- 10:41Based on everything you just said, I want you to lean in a little
- 10:45closely right now? Okay, just a little a little bit closer them,
- 10:48a little bit closer. Fucked you. You're in the tree House. Listen

- 13:35there tomorrow night, Saturday on the Late Show. So come check it out
- 13:39a dry bar special. Are you sure you're the right host for event?
- 13:45I did their show. I was at their club in Salt Lake City,
- 13:50and I was working with Brad Williams, which is like, you know,
- 13:52open season. He's very very cool with it, like he doesn't mind if
- 13:54you're dirty before him. There's a lot of comics that will say, you
- 13:58know, don't don't be dirty before me, because it's too much like go
- 14:01out and say whatever you want. And like two days later they called my
- 14:05agent and they're like, we'd love for him to submit, and she's like,
- 14:09did you hear his set? Did you? But they're like, well,
- 14:11if you can just remove the swear words, and I was like,
- 14:15okay, so I've been writing like redoing my set in my head or I
- 14:18just don't because I use it. I just use it for emphasis. I'm
- 14:20not like I'm not like I'm just cussing all the time and use it for
- 14:22ephis It's not like it's not like it's absolutely necessary to your bits, right,
- 14:28So but yeah, come by tomorrow night and say hello now it's coming
- 14:31very cool and for ticket and fell again Dallas Dash Comedy Club. Excuse me
- 14:37not cop because if being sick in my head isn't bad enough, now I
- 14:41apparently have indigestion, so excuse me, burp. That's I'm just waiting for
- 14:46you to just malfunction completely. And dude, that's what I was thinking earlier
- 14:52this morning. My nose is running and I don't have any Kleenex, so
- 14:56it really was this morning. It was Uh. I went to the gym
- 15:00for the first time earlier this week in the new year, right, I'd
- 15:05taken about a month off for the holidays, and I guess my body is
- 15:09paying me back for it today because in addition to being sick in my head,
- 15:16I'm sore and out of nowhere. My left knee just started hurting and
- 15:22all I did was taking some stuff out of my car and into the house.
- 15:24And my spine has pretty much been unraveling for years. So I absolutely
- 15:30felt that way this morning, Ridge, which was I'm just coming apart.
- 15:33Yeah, it's called it's called getting old, you know, that's just what
- 15:37happens. I have taken a month off from the gym as well, but
- 15:41that was for but the car accident whatnot. And they've now they've they said,
- 15:46you know what, you're clear to go at forty to fifty percent.
- 15:50And I was like, okay, cool, So I don't know what that
- 15:52means, but I'll just take it easy and I got. I got as
- 15:56far as getting dressed for the gym before something clicked in my knee and I
- 16:02sat down. I was like, well, we we looked gym ready,
- 16:07but we we sure ain't it. Just leisure tread is here to stay.
- 16:12Just because you did go to the gym doesn't mean you can't look like you
- 16:15did. I just I was putting on because it's cold outside, so I
- 16:19put my you know, my my leggings with the exercise leggings on and then
- 16:23the shorts over it. And then I was getting my shoes on and I
- 16:26heard on the side of my knee and I went, oh, well,
- 16:30we're gonna sit down for a hot minute. And yeah, it is pretty
- 16:32bad. If if the joint start fighting back, would you just get dressed.
- 16:37Yeah. It was like, we're not really good one, are we.
- 16:42We let you put on the clothes, but we're not going that's ridiculous.
- 16:48So yeah, you're just you could look it, but you're not gonna
- 16:51do it. Yeah. I'll be forty. I'll be forty you know this
- 16:52year. I'll be forty nine in October. So I mean it's all letting
- 16:56me know, like, hey, we're gearing up for forty nine, like
- 16:59you look, you're ready to go get on the elliptical, but you're gonna
- 17:03watch Red Notice instead. For me this week it was it's been Reacher,
- 17:12so I totally get it. Oh the new season's out. Yeah, yeah,
- 17:18they're doing a slow drip. They're not doing you know, all the
- 17:21episodes at once. They released three episodes and then they're doing, uh,
- 17:26one episode per week. Yeah. And I don't know if you guys watch
- 17:30Bookie, but if you get a chance to watch that, it is excellent,
- 17:34excellent, excellent. Is that's just the documentary about the relationship between Trey
- 17:38and his book I've seen episodes of that over the years. It's very entertaining
- 17:48that one's called Bookie Nights. But no, this is what's funny, is
- 17:59the truth about it. My bookie is actually a very close friend of mine,
- 18:02I know, who actually got sober before me and helped me get sober.
- 18:07Actually, and even in sobriety. Where's one time I called him I
- 18:12wanted to make a bet and he goes no. That has got to be
- 18:18one of the best relationships ever where it's not only is he your bookie,
- 18:22but he's also your sponsor, which is a another great indication that you can
- 18:27be sober from drugs and alcohol, but that doesn't mean you're addictionless. What
- 18:34was your rock bottom? Putting a thousand on Troy State bottom Hawaii? Wow?
- 18:45Yeah, I can Understanday Saturday Night Special way in the over come on
- 18:52Rainbows. And what was really bad is you know before the internet there you
- 18:59would have to like there were these lines you could call score lines, and
- 19:03you know they would just do an update like every fifteen minutes, and you
- 19:06know you're on there at two thirty in the morning trying to figure out the
- 19:08Hawaii score. That's when you've hit rock bottom. Wow, that's you wake
- 19:15up in the morning after betting a thousand on Hawaii and he's there to take
- 19:18you to rehab. But he stopped atm so you can pay him for Yeah,
- 19:23because he knows he's not gonna get paid for at least thirty days,
- 19:26so he wants to be sure he gets it on the front end. Oh,
- 19:33that's right. When when your first step is when your bookie makes a
- 19:36mess? Oh damn, excuse me, pardon miss not all right? Oh
- 19:48jesus, all right, today is grad day. Some days it's just not
- 19:53as impactful as others. Today's one of them. January twelfth, twenty tw
- 20:00four birthdays. Today we will start with Melanie Chisholm. She is fifty today.
- 20:06She's best known as Melcy or Sporty Spice from The Spice Girl Rake One
- 20:11from Wu Tang Clan is fifty four and from Rage Against the Machine Zach de
- 20:18la Rocha is fifty four today. I think I saw earlier this week in
- 20:22the news, like a quick headline saying something about Rage Against the Machine may
- 20:25have broken up again. But it seems like one of those bands that seems
- 20:27to do it so often that I can't keep up with whether they're together or
- 20:32not, sort of like some of Trey's relationships. No, you know mine,
- 20:36well, you know mine. How they're going to end. Yeah,
- 20:40but it's a matter of how many times you get back together before it reaches
- 20:45its inevitable. That's true. Trey always has farewell tours. Where do you
- 20:53think? Where do you think all those bands got the idea to do numerous
- 20:57farewell tours? Kiss did it? The Eagles they saw they saw what Trey
- 21:02was doing, like that's a great idea. Can melt this for another ten
- 21:07years? Which is really odd to hear you say to your girlfriend other birthdays.
- 21:22Today, Rob Zombie turns fifty nine. Amazon's headman. Actually is he
- 21:29even the CEO anymore? Or is he now like a ceo emeritus and he's
- 21:32just sailing around the world and stuff now Basos sixty, he's still in charge.
- 21:38He still the head man in charge, I believe. So let's see.
- 21:42It's like it's amazing. There's a clip of him on Larry King back
- 21:48in like ninety eight ninety nine, and you know, Larry King asked him
- 21:52something like, you know, how are you gonna make selling books so profitable?
- 21:57And he goes, he goes, Larry books are the beginning? Is
- 22:00I almost sell everything? Wow? And damn if he wasn't right, Yeah,
- 22:04that's wild. And I'll tell you right now we rely on him.
- 22:07We rely on Amazon here, oh yeah, because there are certain things that
- 22:11we just cannot get Now. Amazon Prime is a different animal here on the
- 22:17Islands than it is in Dallas. Like in Dallas, you order something,
- 22:18it could be there in the afternoon. Here. If I order like some
- 22:22sort of a cord that I can't find at OfficeMax on Saint Thomas or at
- 22:26Kmart, we'll get on Amazon. I'll order acord that's like seven or eight
- 22:32bucks. It'll eventually show up in about ten to twelve days, but it'll
- 22:37cost me ten to twelve dollars in shipping, and nine or ten people in
- 22:42Puerto Rico will have used it by the time I got to you. So
- 22:48funny you mentioned that rush, because there's still a few things that Tera and
- 22:51I have ordered that got held up in Puerto Rico so long that they just
- 22:56never left the island. So someone saw what we had ordered to go like
- 23:00want that, and then they just kept it. That's what somebody's wearing your
- 23:04Halloween costume right now. That was a real messibility last year. We actually
- 23:11think someone did wear one of Terra's costumes to a party and then they repackaged
- 23:17it and then sent it over to finish the actual final leg of the Amazon
- 23:21ship. Wow. Actor. One of my favorite actors, Oliver Platt,
- 23:26I know, kind of random. He is sixty four today. He is
- 23:27a chief of psychiatry on NBC's Chicago med He also had a hell of a
- 23:33turn as I'm not even sure what he actually was in Lake Placid the first
- 23:38one, but he was a ladies man, even though he was grossly overweight,
- 23:44but Oliver Platt very good actor, Howard Stern king of all media.
- 23:48He turns seventy. Turns out he sort of leading the charge on the digital
- 23:52side of things when he left radio and took a whole bunch of serious XM
- 23:56stock options. And finally from the Oakreage Boys, one of my sister's favorites,
- 24:03William Lee Golden, is eighty five today. He's the one with the
- 24:10really long beard. Oh gotcha. And I think they just announced like a
- 24:14farewell tour or something. I can't I've just one of those random things you
- 24:22see probably on Facebook or something. I was scrolling by, and you know,
- 24:26it's like they're still alive. It's funny you mentioned that trade because I'm
- 24:30pretty sure it was the Oakreadge boys who were scrolling on Facebook, went past
- 24:33your profile, saw that, it saw that. It said it's complicated.
- 24:37They're like, it's time to hit the road. Boys. If this guy
- 24:42Trey is back on is back on it the med we shirt, we certainly
- 24:45could. Yeah. I love when bens do that. I'm like, we're
- 24:48gonna announce a farewell tour. I'm like, well, your career said farewell
- 24:51about twenty years ago. I don't know what we're what do we sell?
- 24:55Like where's the okay, like what venue? What size of venue? Do
- 24:57you think the Oakridge Boys going to fill at this point? Like they're not.
- 25:03You won't see like at the AAC the Oakridge Boys, like nobody have
- 25:08they released new music in thirty forty years? No, I And you're right,
- 25:18I definitely don't see them playing the maid arena at the Double Ac.
- 25:23Maybe one of the bathrooms. Yeah. If I was like at the State
- 25:32Fair and they're like, hey, after the pig races the Oakreage Boys,
- 25:34I'm like, okay, you know, saying farewell to their fans, that
- 25:47would actually be a good, good double feature the pig races followed by the
- 25:51boys. I'm pretty sure that one of those pigs every year is named Elvira.
- 26:00What would really be said is if you know where your career is if
- 26:03you had to open for the big races, like not even not even close
- 26:06out the big races in the Oakridge was it is pretty humbling with the pigs
- 26:14of the Bigger dressing groop and more. Fans in the Treehouse visit us online

- 26:56last you know, calendar year about free roof inspections and the important things that
- 27:00people can do to have you come out to their home and help them.
- 27:03But when someone actually calls you, how quickly is it that you get out
- 27:07to them to come check that roof? Dan. You know, we've been
- 27:11very fortunate. We got a wonderful office staff that answers the phone, immediately
- 27:17gets to the clients, and believe it or not, we almost at least
- 27:22seventy five percent of the time try to get out the same day, especially
- 27:26for clients that have major concerns and if it's emergency services, we make sure
- 27:32we find time to get out there and get it done. So between the
- 27:34guys, they all understand the importance and when somebody's home is affected in a
- 27:38negative way and they have a lot of pressure on them trying to find someone,
- 27:44you know, that's that's where we stand up and say we're going to
- 27:45be there for him. And so yeah, I would say seventy five percent
- 27:48the same day, if not next day for sure. And hearing the back
- 27:52to the future alert there on your phone, it makes me wonder if it
- 27:56was possible, would you go back in time to help somebody or would you
- 28:00not mess with that sacred timeline? You know, Dan, there's always opportunities
- 28:04to go back in time, and why would you not? Man, I
- 28:07think that would be a wonderful opportunity. So we would look at that,
- 28:11just run with it. Maybe not change any super important historical things, to
- 28:17not mess with the future or the present, but at the very least go
- 28:21maybe go stop a leak before it gets worse. Absolutely, give Daniel Cook
- 28:25to yourself. You can't see yourself, Dan, remember that you cannot manipulate
- 28:29what you're doing. Better not touch yourself either. I've seen time cop and
- 28:33that was gruesome. So be sure and give Daniel Cook a call from Cook
- 28:36DFW Roofing and Restoration eight three to three. Cook DFW. Take a look
- 28:40at all their fine work on their website right now at cookdfw dot com.
- 28:44It's a new year, but let's get a familiar face and voice into the
- 28:47treehouse. Now it's Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing. Give them a call for any
- 28:49and all of those plumbing ones and needs two, one, four, three,
- 28:52six, eight, thirty eight, thirty eight and Jacqueline. Since it
- 28:56is a new year, I'm curious, how is the new year started for
- 28:59you and for Brooks Plumbing? I mean smooth sailing. We had a record
- 29:03breaking year. I'm gonna blame you for that, so I will take all
- 29:07that. I will take all that smoke. Yeah, I intend on having
- 29:11another record breaking year. And I want to ask you if you've seen the
- 29:15meme and it's all verbal, it's all just words, and it just says,
- 29:18new year, knew me, better ingredients, better pizza, Papa John's.
- 29:23I have not seen that, but I think that fits a lot of
- 29:26people's resolutions. But I have lost weight already, so the goal is to
- 29:32lose weight. So I'm getting tremor and the boys are getting heavier because we're
- 29:37feeding them. Well, oh that's awesome. Well you know what, in
- 29:38that case, good for you. Your new year personally is already off to
- 29:41a good start. It sounds like it's already off to a great start.
- 29:45For Brooks Plumbing me, however, any sort of resolution stuff. I've extended
- 29:49my holiday break to continue through the weekend. So to me, the first
- 29:55day of the New Year really isn't going to start until Monday, as oppose
- 29:57to what it actually was, which was last Monday, the first. I
- 30:00don't think that count. But you have an excuse. You're on island time.
- 30:04You live in a whole different world, so you get to make your
- 30:07own rules. That is true, and island time is a very real thing.
- 30:11We're still waiting on, ironically enough, a plumber on Saint Thomas to
- 30:15give us a call back to help our tenants with a propane issue, and
- 30:21that's been going on for like three days. So what I'm getting at is,
- 30:26if you want a banger of a twenty twenty four, then you need
- 30:27to open up a Brooks Plumbing branch here on the Islands, because you will
- 30:32absolutely slay it. Well, you can fly Oliver and I out. He'll
- 30:36do the work and I'll just quality assurance. I'll be the QA person on
- 30:40the site. I think that sounds like a wonderful plan, all right.
- 30:44So we've already got new resolutions and objectives for the new year, and if
- 30:47you have any plumbing wants and needs, obviously, Jacqueline will go to the
- 30:51ends of the earth for you like she does for me. So give her
- 30:53entertain at Brooks Plumbing a call two one four three six eight thirty eight thirty
- 30:57eight and Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com. You're in the tree house, visit
- 31:04us online at Treehouseonair dot com. This segment of the Treehouse is brought to
- 31:12you by Brooks Plumbing. Brooks Plumbing for any and all of your plumbing wants
- 31:17and needs, give them a call for very fine plumbing work. Two one
- 31:21four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's two one four, three
- 31:23six eight thirty eight thirty eight and the website Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com. UH.
- 31:30They've they were in my house and numerous times UH in Dallas over the
- 31:33last year, and so I appreciate very much their excellent work and efforts in
- 31:38the UH in the plumbing business, and you will too should you need their
- 31:41help or again, sometimes you just want some cool plumbing stuff done, and
- 31:45they do that too. I want to make sure, since it is Friday,
- 31:48there's some really really good, UH stupid stories that I know that'll make
- 31:55us all very happy if we touch on them, especially especially the one I'm
- 32:00going to start with. We've all heard of Janue. I'm sorry, I'm
- 32:09gonna start that over. We've all heard of dry January. Yes, have
- 32:17you heard of the new trend Janue Harry? No? No, Yeah?
- 32:27What do you think Janue Harry is just based on the name? Right,
- 32:35Guys not shaving for a month like beards, beards grow out? That is
- 32:44incorrect, ra what do you think Janue Harry is? Ladies not shaving anywhere?
- 33:00That was the greatest response. Not only is it the greatest response,
- 33:04it's the proper response. Yes. Over the past six years, this period
- 33:09of January has been marked by January Harry, So you know it's usually times
- 33:15of change. Resolution, Gym membership spike, people seek new jobs and record
- 33:21numbers abstaining from alcohol, like the drive January, even not eating meat for
- 33:29the month, So meatless January is apparently a thing, but all that can
- 33:31move over and make room for Janue Harry. It is an initiative challenging women
- 33:38to put down their razors for the entire month. Despite its name, the
- 33:43message is evergreen. In the campaign's official Instagram account, which has over forty
- 33:47thousand followers, posts images of women celebrating their body hair year round in an
- 33:53attempt to normalize it. So, yeah, you know, that's a great
- 34:01way to you know, that's a great way I think you should do it.
- 34:05And that's a great way to not have a date by Valentine's Day.
- 34:08But that's a solid way to do that. But you know, well,
- 34:13actually the opposite. It may actually work in that in that way, raj
- 34:15because let's say, you know, a lady doesn't shave anything anywhere for the
- 34:21entire month of January indead, oh yeah, February first, she decides,
- 34:27all right, it's time time to shave it all down. And then it's
- 34:30sort of like one of those you know, eighties movies where it's like the
- 34:34geek turns hot, or like even the nineties remake and she's all that.
- 34:37It's like she shaves herself and all of a sudden, the guy, the
- 34:40new guy at work, is like, oh, this is not the Harry
- 34:43sasquatch woman that I thought she was. Any think it sounds like it's vagina
- 34:46reborn thirty day. I think it would be Wow. That is a yeah,
- 35:05that's a you know, I just always wonder when you hear things like
- 35:08that, who sat in the room and was like, I got an initiative
- 35:10force. It's like, go ahead, Harry Becky, what do you got?
- 35:19I need you guys stop calling me Harry Becky. How you wanted to
- 35:22do that? Everybody should be here and then that's how they let's get an
- 35:25Instagram page. What do you think you to brow Wendy. So just keep
- 35:40that in mind if you see someone talking about Janu Harry, now you know
- 35:45what it is. Yeah, there is something going around in addition to the
- 35:52flu or the cold that I have. It is this new sort of a
- 35:55pandemic that I have yet to hear anyone proper explanation to me to explain it,
- 36:05the explanation to see breaking on all cylinder type things today. But you
- 36:10get what I mean. Yeah, the Stanley cup tumblr chaos. I have
- 36:17yet to hear a reasonable explanation for the insanities surrounding these metal tumbler cups,
- 36:25which are not new to the market. I mean, for one, Stanley
- 36:30has had these thermoss for decades, probably pre dating the twentieth century, that
- 36:36were probably used in the minds in the eighteen hundreds. But and then you
- 36:42got the Yuttie cups, the Arctics, the Arctic Zone, like all these
- 36:45different brands popped up with these steel cups. And for some reason, the
- 36:51Stanley cup craze has reached a fever pitch. Have you heard any reasonable explanation
- 36:57as to why. I don't know what this is, so you have to
- 36:59expey, Okay, yeah, do you know the Stanley Cup, not the
- 37:04hockey deal, but the old stool thervice it had the was all metal,
- 37:07and it had a screw top and the lunch box handle right, typically used
- 37:14for soups or coffee for the blue collar worker for all goddamn day. That
- 37:19soup and that coffee, maybe even in the same holder's gonna be hot all
- 37:22day. Yeah. And then the marketing quote unquote genius that made crocs cool
- 37:29again or just cool period got hired by the Stanley company and he threw in
- 37:36some fun colors, a straw and a handle, and the next thing you
- 37:38know, there are people throwing fists and elbows at target to get the Valentine's
- 37:47colors. Gotcha. The only thing I know about him is that in that
- 37:52the top that they have and with the straw that it is some contraption that
- 38:00like comes down on the straw. So it's like leak proofs as much as
- 38:04one can. Gotcha. You also saw something that saw the whole thing about
- 38:07how oh hey people, you love that thing. Well when you don't clean
- 38:13it right and they pulled it apart, it's like just mold. It's like,
- 38:15oh, yeah, you're gonna want to clean that thing on a regular
- 38:17basis. Yeah. But yeah, like the like the yetties and all the
- 38:22other you know, steel cups that that people have had. The aftermarket accessories
- 38:25were pretty popular because you could get a handle to slide over one, you
- 38:30could get the new lid that had the slide top, or the straws that
- 38:32would you know, kind of go in there or something. Or I guess
- 38:37Stanley just decided we're just gonna do all of it in one cup and that
- 38:39was that was what made them better than everyone. I mean, I will
- 38:43say this, when you have the handle that's already attached to the cup,
- 38:45not only is a not only is it a convenient drinking apparatus, but it's
- 38:50also a weapon. Yeah. I just uh, when you say people are
- 38:55are fighting over these is can I can I assume, yes, you can't.
- 39:08I feel I feel fairly confident that I saw some. I saw a
- 39:13few people of color also rushing to the to the cup crazes. Say do
- 39:16you want to? You want you want to pull the picture up for the
- 39:20video. I just want to. I just want to, you know,
- 39:22I just want to know, like when this that kind of time, when
- 39:25the new Stanley cup colors come out, just so for for just for reference,
- 39:30I need to know a date so I know when the streets will be
- 39:32clear of white people, so we can just hustle about town because this is
- 39:44not Videos posted to social media showed customers camping outside of Target, jumping behind
- 39:50the cashier's counter, racing each other to grab limited edition Valentin's tumblers and pink
- 39:54and red that Stanley released on New Year's Eve. The twenty to forty five
- 39:59dollars travel cups quickly sold out with ad minutes at some locations, and many
- 40:04are now being resold on eBay and Murcari for more than one hundred bucks each.
- 40:09Wow, now here's some numbers behind it. The comically enormous quincher has
- 40:14gotten so popular that it's largely responsible for Stanley's revenue jumping from seventy four million
- 40:20dollars in twenty nineteen to seven hundred and fifty million dollars in twenty twenty three.
- 40:28Wow, that is a lot of white people with soup. I don't
- 40:36think it's I really do. I think it's I do think though, if
- 40:39you found one of these lines where people are camped out, I think you
- 40:44could sell some trips to Mount Everest, though, especially if it was me
- 40:47selling. That's gonna be how their revenue jumps into the billiard. Absolutely,
- 41:06and it's a great to take to the top of of average with you.
- 41:10Every trip gets a three pair of green boots, such a good cup and
- 41:19maybe the only thing that survives your trip. Oh, look at the Sherpas
- 41:29e Bay store slightly used, halfway full. I about that's great.
