- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: Hello there, and I'm welcome to another monthly edition of Film and TV review.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm joined by regular hosts, Andrew, Richard, and our friends.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_03]: And today we discussing for you the last month's releases, and we're including,
- 1:42[SPEAKER_03]: warm machine and emissable even.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, we'll work with crack on straight arms.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: So at the first obviously, it's a bit of a while, but we've caught up with it.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's the, there's a big release actually, we have the science fiction novel, or basins in the answer, because you know, the offer of the Martian is a project Hell Mary, getting another quite a bigger anticipation of that lot of
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: teacher of sorts, so a dropping teacher who's been called on to save the world by embarking on a mission of, well, a mystery at the beginning, but then things get revealed as they pan out.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_03]: I saw this, I think most of you guys saw this as well.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_03]: A lot of anticipated, I was
- 2:41[SPEAKER_05]: I really enjoyed it.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_05]: It's actually one of the few great cinematic experience of 26 so far for me.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_05]: What I mean is that with this new age of streaming, etc.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_05]: You always consider when you think about going to the movie theater, is it worth?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_05]: Worth it going to the movie theater to see this movie or this movie, etc.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_05]: worth buying a ticket for a movie theater experience.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_05]: I believe it has all the good ingredients.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_05]: I made my opinion anyway.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't know if you want to go to the details about this, the plot.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: I think we should, because it's passing off now.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_03]: If you haven't seen it, I think we must be able to see that people can come back and say, oh, you know, we should say it in a way.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: You should talk about it.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: We want to review.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_03]: Is it worth?
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of worth seeing as a person.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, let's just see most people have seen it right now.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of a mix between the kind of space opera and also it has the humor of the but you will find in a lot of work by these guys, a lot than Miller, which you can see that touch, let's say, back kind of famous for what we animated Spiderman stuff from recent
- 4:18[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's very, at first it's very funny story about yes, this random guy who has no space experience and who is sent on this mission to save you, as you said, well, I will not get into details about what is the threat, but because it's like
- 4:40[SPEAKER_05]: mumbo jumbo science, but that's not the point.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, he has to save the earth.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_05]: He's like the last person that you would send to a mission like this.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_05]: On another galaxy, or so a system or whatever, is kind of by himself for different reasons for most of the movie.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_05]: So that's why the acting is so important, because it's your DIY.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_05]: 99% of the time he's on screen and he does for me a great job for what he has to do, he has his natural ability, again, humor and kind of a funny guy, but at the same time he has a few scenes where obviously he's trendy, then he understands actually, he can be sometimes
- 5:37[SPEAKER_05]: is loneliness is an important issue and emits at some point, so spoiler alert, emits at some point, an alien form kind of a funny alien form at first coming from another, when you get an ever galaxy or whatever, and they will bond to save both of the species.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_05]: That's it.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_05]: So that's kind of the plot in the nutshell.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, as I said, I think it has all the ingredients for a success.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_05]: Again, the sci-fi spectacle that you have on the screen, the funny dialogues, a character that you care about.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, I think that it's a good pacing, it has a good also soundtrack.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I honestly believe that it will become kind of not a masterpiece with the cold classic that people will rewatch over and over again next few years.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_03]: Can you now see how Mary and what I don't think to that?
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, actually, I don't know about the, I think it's marketing that maybe is close to the
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: you know, especially at a later point focused on the character of Rocky as they call the alien life form and marketing for this thing or that.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: And so people probably knew that going in, even if they hadn't read the novel, something about seeing the film versus a novel, maybe not versus a novel, but just seeing the film versus the marketing is that it's not really
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: because you see him, or you see Ryan Gosling's character on the ship, you know, trying to do the mission.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: But you allow what you see on earth is flashbacks.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like in the marketing work.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: like Armageddon or something like that where he's on earth and then goes up here it's a lot.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: The story is told, uh, was it in media race?
- 7:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's not the expression.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_01]: He's already on the ship and he's trying to figure out what's going on and then that's when you flash back to stuff on earth and then throughout the film it's back and forth between him being on the ship and then flashing back to, you know, being on earth and how he came to be, you know, where he is.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of the strengths of the film is this the relationship between the main human character and the alien life form rocky and just how you come to really feel for this life form which looks just like a pile of rocks and it's a nickname or name that's given.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: And without going easy too much, it's a study of this person who never really connected with anyone and connecting to this new life form.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's also some reveal that happens laying the film and it makes the kind of wonder about certain things and it plays upon certain tropes for this kind of thing without trying to explain too much more.
- 9:07[SPEAKER_01]: So it makes it go, hmm, okay, it's a little different, you know, I usually see that in this type of film, but.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, I think my main concern with the film and it's not so much the film itself.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, I saw it as part of a group and they wanted to see it in a certain format but not the IMAX and this is probably one of those situations where you probably want to see it in the biggest screen possible.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: There's not even a lot of films like that, you can say, well, I see it and IMAX received them.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: just some other screen in the cinema, but here you probably want to see it on the biggest screen possible, because there was certain moments where I was looking and it was kind of like, yeah, this feels a little too small, I wish I had seen in the iMac, so that's just an observation that you don't really hear much with films, but I would say it's certainly too in this one, so
- 10:00[SPEAKER_03]: It was definitely a bit more of a light-hearted film compared to the Martian, so it was Andrea Weir obviously was really there.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_03]: I think the Martian was a bit more, for me, it was a bit more satisfying, because it seemed a very much a mission-based bit more grounded.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: kind of thing.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is kind of like more, I was like a fairy tale really, but I mean, so much racially, but yeah, the string fit was definitely Ryan Goslin as typical to lead, you know, get those actors who can actually lead an entire, you know, almost a one person job on this.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's like Tom Hanks in cast away, but Ryan Goslin, you're very impressed by him.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_03]: How he can actually put that off.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: It was, it did feel a bit, yes.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_03]: I mean,
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's a lighter tone and more optimistic, so but it's nicely done.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I say not master piece, but it is there.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_03]: Good, hold some fun, just a whole package and then, you know, that I've done really, but yeah, if you catch up for it on our weekend, yeah, it's commercial and streaming.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_03]: Right, next.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_03]: This was title that came out, and I kind of like a for a lot of sequel to it.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_03]: series, which shows picky blindness, which was popular a while.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: This is bigger blinders the more to man, and I think this follows on after us.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_03]: Sillian Murphy, as the title character, Thomas Shelby, or Tommy Shelby.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_03]: I think returning, and I think this is set during World War II around the human, so we've got a...
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean,
- 11:39[SPEAKER_03]: who were big fans of the television series because I was really on and off, but anyone, obviously, watched it and was it worth actually having a film like this after the perfect?
- 11:49[SPEAKER_05]: I think that the second question is the most important one because I think that question can be asked for any of the show is except for money.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_05]: Why would you actually go back to a TV show that has a proper ending?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_05]: I'll just leave this question, we'll be asked about Tipeee gang Tipeee binders, or in the, and overshows that might have this idea of actually doing a good closure and as a movie or whatever.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I, I, I, Tipeee binders, I think is a remarkable Tipeee show, first of all, that's responsible for sure.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_05]: It definitely entered the pop culture in the last 15 or 10 years.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_05]: great acting visually kind of beautiful show actually I don't know how much money they spent on it over the over the over six years but is it a BBC production in the first place by the way?
- 12:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah it was BBC that series is on Netflix but actually it's not Netflix yeah and which is like
- 13:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how it actually works, but I see me once we've partnered with it, but for a film, we had Netflix, we were supposed to have already paid out for it, and we would see it, and so I don't know how that deal works, because it wasn't shown in BBC.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_03]: This was just million Netflix.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_05]: Because for the union idea, I think it's the only BBC show that could be swayed, but you can have the whole thing, all seasons,
- 13:29[SPEAKER_05]: always on Netflix.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_05]: I'm trying to think about another BBC show purely created in England by the BBC, but you will find internationally an electric force.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_05]: You will have all seasons.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_05]: Some guessing Netflix have some part of the production, some where I'm
- 13:49[SPEAKER_05]: Anyway, it was a great show, I think, now about this conclusion, because definitely the objective, the goal was to give proper conclusion to the main character, as you mentioned, to me Shelby, no spoilers for the end of the shoot.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_05]: of spoilers.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously, if he's tying in this movie, obviously he survived the end of the TV show.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_05]: I get the TV show, yeah, he survived in a way.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_05]: But in my opinion, all the characters, arc, are done at the end of the TV show.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_05]: So here, yes, behind the middle of World War II,
- 14:39[SPEAKER_05]: The interesting part compared to the original idea is to introduce a grown-up son of Tommy Shelby, because it was a very young, obviously, in previous seasons, in the seasons, and he is paid by a retarded by a bag here again.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think it's a great movie, I think it's a good conclusion to the story of Tommy Shelby.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_05]: I think that the strength of the movie was, again, perhaps it could have been the relationship between the father and the son, because the son is kind of doing, making all the wrong decision in his life in the first half of the movie, and it's a shame that actually they don't share the screen so much in this movie, both of them see an
- 15:41[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because, yeah, it's a very simple story in the end.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_05]: It's a bike you're again working with, and that's it at first.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_05]: And then you just need to have a figure that comes back and show him the right thing, and then you sacrifice himself for the cause or for his son or whatever.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, I don't think that the plot is definitely bad great.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't think that it was worth the weight or what it is.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_05]: Now, that being said, yes, it is a proper conclusion for Tommy Shelby some guessing fans of the show will like this just for that reason.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: And when I saw what I had to think to that.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_03]: Next.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is something that will never, obviously, you can keep doing these forever because obviously, I've never ran out of a chair.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_03]: But that's scream seven.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't know how they come out.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: We've such humor to it and it's properly talking about.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_03]: I'm guessing this involves a new ghost face killer emerges in the town.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: where Sydney Prescott has built a life and then trying to get over it but I'm guessing a killer emerges.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: This is just me summarizing, I haven't seen it, but am I widely wrong and why is this admissible?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_03]: Who's all screened?
- 17:11[SPEAKER_03]: Seven.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_03]: Who's going to admit to seeing it because Andrew you did didn't you?
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, we saw it as part well.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: I mean a lot of people did see it opening weekend and I'm part of a meet up.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I guess I wanted to see it.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that's probably there's only not much that would really be memorable about this because it's probably best to go see it in a very.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: as I did in a crowded auditorium opening weekend because there's a lot of people who are into it, who are calling out to the film and making comments, you know, like it happens before in general, I guess, but here it was very much like, oh my god, I already don't do this, so to that type of things calling out to the screen.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: So like interactive, but
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if I were watching it home by myself, I probably wouldn't think much.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: That being said, the film is not so much that I found the film necessarily terrible, but it's just that the reveal without giving too much away.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's come down to it doesn't really make a lot of sense.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, thank you.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, I agree.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_04]: I agree.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_04]: I could be doing it.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, that's the general, maybe, almost unanimous to have seen the film, it's like the reaction of Poncing is like, really.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_01]: That's really the reaction.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: That's, so it's just like, and I guess I'm going on about what happened in real life to bring us to this,
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: in real life, that they've had to deal with, and they've come to varying quality.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the first movie is still the best, but the other sequels they've had things that have happened in real life that they've had to adapt to, and there certainly have some challenges.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_01]: And with those challenges, they could still made a,
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: possibly decent film, but I think it's just that whatever they originally came up with and then they had to scrap that idea and have the story centered around Sidney again.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they could have had Sidney and Gale and the other characters.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they could have had a decent dish film and I was seeing it in the crowd that I saw it in and there was some entertainment from that, but I don't think it's really something that I would be like revisiting.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: There's some moments that were kind of like, yeah, that's pretty cool or that's a pretty cool kill or I mean, there's a lot made of kind of grace being the film but you know, I'm not going to say much more about that.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it just
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, there's some moments that we're kind of like, yeah, that's cool, but again, I'm not picking with something that people are going to revisit among the screen installments.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, well, you will be letting out screen A is officially a development.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_05]: So anyway, you will have a thousand of them, as long as actually they break even quite easily.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_05]: Go either, I'm sorry.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was gonna say like if radio silence, or whatever the filmmakers call themselves, where to come back, you know, maybe be interesting, but I don't think they, I mean, that's a whole other story.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, if they brought those people back, but going forward as is, I don't know what they could come up with.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think quite well-screen 7.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think Box 7 is something we can.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: It was very fun.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was just that.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, and we gave this 45 million budget.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_05]: Box of this 2014.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_05]: Wow.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_03]: That's quite impressive.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_05]: Well, it is impressive.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_05]: Trust me, because honestly, it's a bullshit movie.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_01]: A brand and that brought people out opening weekend.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: It just after that.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_01]: didn't really have much in the way of box off the flight.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_01]: So that was the expected too.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: But that's basically what it was.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_01]: It was opening weekend.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: The brand brought people out after that.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: It was kind of like, yeah.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, we talked about X-Men and Transformers as good examples of franchise where sometimes it doesn't make sense anymore, you know, the chronology of events, et cetera.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, scream is another level to balance, because there are things that make no sense as Andrew mentioned about the killer in this one, but also, I mean, I know that they're like different issues, the cast has been fired or whatever, which I'm not going to details anyway, but still, I mean, it's like they say, okay, so we don't care if you watch.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_05]: The second, the fourth, the sixth, the sixth instalments.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_05]: We're gonna remove them all and we're gonna just do like a sequel, the first one.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_05]: It's almost like that.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_05]: Let's see how can you do this?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_05]: It's so stupid.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_05]: It's so stupid.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and even the characters are so one-dimensional.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_05]: All of them, all these young actors, you say, okay, you're just here to be the kills.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_05]: And that's all you're gonna bring to the table.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_05]: You're gonna be killed.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's so sad.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_01]: This is so sad.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: Well, one of the actors, I was kind of maybe helping them up for trying to be the actor's name, but he's the one who plays Sam on Gen V, so he's one of the cast members in this one.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I mean, I don't know if people will really remember most of the, I mean other than Campbell and
- 23:29[SPEAKER_05]: uh... maybe the mix marring twins i don't know if that's something that but uh... yeah i don't know people really remember all of them so well what i mean that when you look at the front you say that the first one is the best one i kind of disagree because i believe at you that they but not it's it's a very good movies the first one it definitely changed the the way you watch uh... uh... or movies with teenagers et cetera fan of it they had some ideas in sequels that they never actually
- 23:59[SPEAKER_05]: use for future installments when trying to say that I really enjoyed the fourth one that brought some ideas about social media and stuff etc.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_05]: And then they give up on this idea completely in the fifth one.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_05]: And then they had over ideas in the fifth and the sixth about the character of Billy and his
- 24:22[SPEAKER_05]: is descendant, et cetera.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_05]: But again, and again, we forget about it for completely because obviously of the cassette, but still, they actually work up, try to get the plot out of it, I don't know.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_05]: But just for me, it's almost insulting the people why not the fan, but people who are the fans, why treat you just to say, okay, we don't care about if you enjoy bad parts, we will never talk about it ever again.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_05]: And then why do you introduce these plots if you don't want to go all the way to the end?
- 24:49[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, that's crazy.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_03]: It's a shame, yeah, because you've got so much avenues for character legacy and character fruit lines, because you obviously, it does well, and you come familiar, if you're familiar with brand, then sometimes you want these characters a familiar character in a new environment or whatever, which they do I suppose with those two female leads, but then you could expand it a bit if you want some legs or a thing, but you know, you
- 25:16[SPEAKER_03]: but maybe it would turn into fast and furious if it did, you know?
- 25:19[SPEAKER_05]: Oh look, that's the goal of that.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_05]: I would be 15 of them to balance if it did.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_03]: All right then.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, next.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_03]: I think I Netflix.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_03]: Film, I think it's a survival.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe we have a good lead actress.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_03]: when she's given good materials, she's always delivers it.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's a shardies for on in apex.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know too much about this, but I think it's a mountain climber or a survivalist or some kind of like independent track or something like that.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_03]: But it seems intriguing.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_03]: I think it's done really well in the
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: Netflix, streaming charts, survivalist horror, I think, maybe, Apex, who's so, Apex, a phonzo, intriguing enough?
- 26:13[SPEAKER_03]: Good, I mean, Charles Francois is a safe bear actually when she's the one that's whatever she's in, but what did you think of Apex?
- 26:23[SPEAKER_03]: What was the premise actually?
- 26:27[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it's basically what you said.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_04]: She is a person who likes this kind of things in nature.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_04]: Climb in the highest mountains and go in kayaking through the Australian Wilderness and all this nature kind of adventures.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_04]: Well, if she goes alone for certain reasons to one of these kayaking kind of expeditions to the yet to the Australian Wilderness and she finds there, the character of Tarong Agerton,
- 27:26[SPEAKER_04]: will be basically chasing her.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_04]: In a non-romantic way, I would say, but there's definitely this is interesting in chasing her.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_04]: And the movie will ask who is the apex of this film,
- 27:56[SPEAKER_04]: Or Taran who has also gone to the gym and is basically mad as a hunter or not hunter in this film.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_04]: She is really depressed.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_04]: She is really euphoric, but both are, I don't know, like,
- 28:25[SPEAKER_04]: in a way, in the wilderness and see who survives.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_04]: So I like both actors.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_04]: I like, it's a way that it's, let's say, it's just when I were in a half, and it's good enough, good enough.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's marginally better than trash, the other kind of action, but with that Netflix is
- 28:50[SPEAKER_04]: I'm promoting these days about the attacking sharks in a co-hostile town.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_04]: This is also a venture, and I can't have a joint boat.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_04]: But this is the bear one.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: And the characters are not really that much developed in either one.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_04]: made them a little bit more developed but I don't I don't complain because it is it is what it is yeah it is action, chase, more action but it doesn't get into more than that so I mean it goes to the point also trash both both are very very short I guess I don't know if
- 29:49[SPEAKER_04]: like cat coes in that way they just want to sell you something that you can you can say okay I'm gonna watch that it's like Charlie's wrong or it's sharks attacking or it's like this It's like okay a strong concept but once you're there they don't really care much
- 30:11[SPEAKER_04]: if you're gonna watch one hour and a half or two hours and two hours and a half, if you're gonna be satisfied with one hour and a half, you're gonna be in and out.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_04]: It's basically an in and out film quick.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_04]: You get the thrills, the thrills are gone, you're out, you don't get much character development, you don't get much anything.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_04]: I kind of like it because I'm not
- 30:40[SPEAKER_04]: Here I was like, and finally enough, I think both and in a little bit of an anti-climax or something that you might expect more, especially apex, I would say it's more thrilling,
- 31:08[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, it's not bad, I mean, and both actors are fantastic in their own kind of ways.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_04]: So you could do, you could do worse than having a film with Charlie's and Taran.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and Eric Banner is a little bit of a thing in it though as well.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_03]: So it's a good cast there.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_03]: So I could see why, you know, you'd find it a bit frustrating.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you can give them some really good stuff, but that does seem to be like, like you said that that model that that fix had coming out a COVID way was there be movie there great be movie of the week and then for expensive, but then.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_03]: can undone kind of things.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but these ones are kind of like, it's not the same thing.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_04]: It's not like, there's not the big, you know, like these movies with the rock and Ryan Reynolds and all these, you know, that had bigger budgets than this.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_04]: These are much more budget conscious.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_04]: They just wanna do something that has enough of an appeal.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_04]: A good, like say,
- 32:12[SPEAKER_04]: a good interesting plot device that can bring you into the film, but they won't spend much.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_04]: Not this time, but that's this.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_04]: It's not spending what they used to spend.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_04]: And I think these films are to me.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_04]: They are a little bit better than those ones.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, read notice, those kind of things.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay, I don't know enough, but I'll watch it for you.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, okay, next, uh, so you would hear you for you, which season free I think is it?
- 32:49[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of like, it's been a bit of a gap between the initial, I mean quite popular.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_03]: but season and second and make kind of stars out of order then actually, all of them are made with Zandian, even Jacob or Lordy, you know, does really well stuff since then, but they kind of returned here and it was a silly, sweetie, I think, you man.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_03]: So, I'm guessing you all, you watch just having a fun show, you watch just in a year.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_03]: Ah, it hasn't been a bit of a gap since seasons one and two.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_03]: It feels like it, but,
- 33:25[SPEAKER_04]: euphoria?
- 33:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it has been a lot of a gap.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_04]: They all have become famous.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_04]: They all have each shot many films, some more than others, that yeah, in general.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_04]: And now they are out of high school in another completely different situation.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_04]: Um, it's, well, it's really euphoria, the reunion, they, they, if euphoria was kind of a fantasy inside of a high school, this is one of these fantasies where the characters are only like five years
- 34:16[SPEAKER_04]: in their 40s or something like that, they are not doing what regular 20, 3-year-olds would be doing.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, they are in like in sex, drugs, and rock and roll, kind of, or only
- 34:46[SPEAKER_04]: The Sam Levinson is playing, again, that kind of fantasy with tracks, music, good lighting, interesting.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_04]: I have never seen a strip club with better lighting than this show.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_04]: Where everybody's working there.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_04]: Even Rosalia is working there.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_04]: The female form appears naked a lot, very beautiful in short, very appealing.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_04]: It's clear that this is not a string woman directing this series, but it's a feast for the eyes.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_04]: And so it is what the plot, you haven't told me yet.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, there is a plot, there is a plot.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, how can I say it?
- 35:52[SPEAKER_04]: Rue is still, like Sunday, I is still.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_04]: involved in drag related activities that leads her to be on a street club, working for street club owner also.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_04]: And the other ones are Nate is married with as well.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_04]: Geicobaloli with Nate is married with Trinys Sweeney which is who is Casey and they have a suburban life although with their problems.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_04]: And then the Alexademy, who is playing Maddy, is a social influencer who will also connect with them.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_04]: They are preparing their wedding, which is also a way to get the cast together again for, because mostly,
- 36:52[SPEAKER_04]: before that, they are mostly in their own separate plots.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_04]: Let's say, I don't think they shut a lot of it together because of, I guess, film schedule or something.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_04]: But, you know, it's a lot of star power.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_04]: So, you're gonna enjoy it.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_04]: You can enjoy watching it.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_04]: Watching it.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_04]: You might find it a little bit too much sex and drugs and stuff.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: Let's say, interesting, the plot is interesting enough.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_04]: The way that it's shot, it's, I think San Levin's and has still something special in the way that he likes to shot his TV series.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_04]: I would say it's, and you like, if you like him, you Fourier, there's something here for you.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_04]: real experience of the high school show.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_05]: May I ask you, have you seen the whole season 3?
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's not out yet, the whole season.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_05]: No, not out yet.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_04]: Now, all the three episodes.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_05]: Is there, do you think it will be, will there be an ending or, well, I mean, is that, do you think that season 3 will be the last one or last one?
- 38:16[SPEAKER_04]: It is the last one.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_05]: I think I have a planning to do future install.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_04]: No, I think it's the last one for sure.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_04]: I think the cast must have in their contracts that they could, if they, if HP or wanted, they could do it up to a system three.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_04]: That's why they have returned.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_04]: Because they were already contracted to do it.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_04]: But if not, they wouldn't have returned.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_05]: I would say, I would say, I would say, I would say.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, they don't need you for you anymore, kind of.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, they don't, they don't need you for it anymore.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_04]: And it's basically, I think, because HVO wanted them, of course, to be in you for it again.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's, I mean, and it's fair, let's say, because you for it is, it was a launching path for most of them.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_04]: So, I mean,
- 39:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's a good way to pay.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, absolutely.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_03]: Jesus, I suppose, yeah, but you have to see why, but yeah, they've all cooked.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm very well, actually, I mean, on the modern.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and it's a euphoria, euphoria really is one show that really, you can understand why stars come out of euphoria, because it's a mix of being really well shot and very sexy.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_04]: So, if you cannot make a star of that,
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, next.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_03]: Now, ready or not, where you are, too.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_03]: This is what I've got a horror sequel to a survivor's horror.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen the first one.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_03]: Don't know.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_03]: It's a horror comedy.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_03]: Richard, fill us in.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_03]: What is ready or even if you haven't seen the first one?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_03]: What's this one?
- 40:17[SPEAKER_05]: What's the premise?
- 40:19[SPEAKER_05]: Well, no, you can enjoy the second one without watching the first one, but still because there's a few quick recap if we've some flashbacks at the in the beginning of the second one I'm guessing.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_05]: No, um, okay, I have to sum up if someone doesn't like oral in too much blood, I think the way actually these movies are made make it okay because they're said it's kind of funny most of the time.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_05]: So, yeah, it's Samar weaving, who is the main player, the main character, in these two movies.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_05]: And quite quickly, the first movie she uh, supposed to get married to, well, she gets married to a very rich guy who is the heir of very powerful than rich family in US or UK or whatever.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_05]: And on the night of when she just got married,
- 41:16[SPEAKER_05]: she really has attacked 3D, but her in-laws are actually kind of a crazy satanist family, but what I think, pre-Satanist family, who has a tradition, where they play your game, every time they raise a new member in the family, so she is a new member of the family.
- 41:37[SPEAKER_05]: And they are very, very sweaty.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_05]: Sorry?
- 41:39[SPEAKER_05]: You are very, very sweaty.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_05]: Sorry.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_05]: I'm I'm I'm I'm I'm explaining badly.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_05]: You're just saying.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_03]: No, I said that.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's your average wedding.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_05]: He said it's average wedding.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_05]: And they play hide and seek at midnight on the night of the of the wedding, literally.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_05]: And she literally has hunted by every single member of her.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_05]: Namely, it's in Hall Castle.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_05]: And they have all different weapons, et cetera.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_05]: It's very funny, I swear you got them.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_05]: And literally, the only way for her to escape is to survive until dawn, which she does.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_05]: And because she survives until dawn, every single one of the family members of her in-laws are dying, exploding, literally explodes, because they literally made the pact in the 17th century, whatever, 18th century,
- 42:33[SPEAKER_05]: kind of the forced pact and they fail this tradition, they die.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_05]: So they all die.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_05]: She survives and hears a second installment of these French eyes.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_05]: I guess it's a French eyes, right?
- 42:47[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to be a French eyes.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_05]: She was straight away, straight away.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_05]: She just survived this night.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_05]: She went to, she goes to the hospital and at the hospital.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_05]: It's like she doesn't have time to even rest because her sister comes to visits and other and her sister comes to visits.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_05]: Some people come to try to kill her again and who are these people?
- 43:12[SPEAKER_05]: It's because actually the second movie is interesting because all of all is kind of again the same story is people trying to chase her and her sister to kill her.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_05]: The guys who wrote this movie, at least it's an original idea and they try to expand the world of ready or not, because this time we find out that this family, very powerful family of the first movie is only one of five or six powerful family who own the world, which really control the world.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_05]: And when one of these family is killed and there is a survivor
- 43:52[SPEAKER_05]: they literally have to all of this family sit around the table and decide who's going to be the new seats on the high chair, which is like the big bus of these big buses.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_05]: It kind of so kind of the competition between all these families and because she's a survivor which never happened a survivor of this game of the first movie.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_05]: If any member of any of these powerful families kill her, they would get the high seats.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_05]: But it's kind of the rules of that game.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_04]: Because the previous family have the high seat.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, thank you.
- 44:36[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, and you have all these new families, one of them is David Kronenberg, family, by the way, does a cameo in this movie.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_05]: He died after five minutes, but David Kronenberg,
- 44:52[SPEAKER_05]: Sami Shagalar in this movie, the lawyer of the devil, it's calling this way is Elija Wood, so it's kind of funny cast.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_05]: So, yeah, again, it's kind of for 90 minutes, it's kind of, I said, hunting Samar weaving and her sister.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_05]: She obviously survives and spoiler alert, so she finds another way to kill them all.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_05]: So there will be probably a photoist moment, but it's always, as it's always, again, it's not or a movie, it's quite funny.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_05]: Again, I don't know how to explain it, but it's because all these people will try to kill her are not professional killers.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_05]: Most of them actually, they don't know what they are doing or they are very bad at what they're doing, so that's kind of funny as well.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_05]: because she finds new strength every time to survive, but at the same time she looks like a John Wick female version because I mean she must have like five different times where she break break bones and she has part of her hands that has been cut five times and so many things happen to her but she's still standing for something so yeah it's I think it's an enjoyable moment
- 46:15[SPEAKER_05]: go watching the movie theater because it's not worth buying a ticket, but when it comes to digital or streaming, it's worth watching it, it's worth watching it, so that's okay.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to say nice horror comedy then, not too.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_05]: It's not scary at all, I guess.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just kidding.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just kidding.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_05]: Trust me, if I can say about this true, it's definitely not scary at all.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, yeah, that's good.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, if you're not huge horror fan, but okay, not fun.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's pretty good.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_03]: Sounds kind of intriguing.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: Next, uh, warm machine, which, uh, so it follows like some recruits of a special ops team, but we may be in counter a deadly force from behind the world.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_03]: Actually, it looks like science fiction, which is actually makes me a bit more intrigued than if it was just a warm movie, but you've got some, um, good strong needs, um, the hell it enriches them.
- 47:10[SPEAKER_03]: Jai Kotpi.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: And then it's quiet.
- 47:13[SPEAKER_03]: This was good to see you this quick.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_03]: Um, who's so warm machine?
- 47:17[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, Andrew, have you seen it as well?
- 47:20[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, you want to see it?
- 47:21[SPEAKER_05]: So I drew you see it.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_05]: I think you were a long time ago.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I started a while ago.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, you want to say something?
- 47:28[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_01]: But it's basically, uh, it's not.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: It was entertaining, I guess.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: But.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_01]: how memorable it was, basically to set it up is that you have the protagonist who's an Afghanistan at the very beginning of the film is a prologue and he loses his brother due to some kind of explosive device in search and does before his brother is killed,
- 48:09[SPEAKER_01]: have this interest to join the Army Rangers, branch of the military, or sub branch.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so after the prologue, some time passes, and the protagonist, I guess to honor his brother is memory, wishes, is in training to join the Army Rangers.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: with another team, and it's while they're on their exercise that the encounter, some kind of what they assume as part of the mission or part of the exercise.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it turns out to be the beginning of this attack by this
- 49:07[SPEAKER_01]: metal gear, yes, metal gear, yes, but not quite.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_01]: So, and so the rest of the film is the protagonist's protagonist's group trying to survive the attack from this metal gear or
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: And that's basically the bulk of the film.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_01]: As the same time, the protagonist is dealing with his own issues of having lost his brother from the events of the beginning of the film.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_01]: So that's basically the film.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that could say the film, you know, you're reading.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_05]: On the issue, I think I can add about two things I can add.
- 49:59[SPEAKER_05]: That's my opinion, but I'm about to say them.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_05]: But this movie, although produced by Netflix, let's have also have some kind of, I don't know, not help, but it may be helped by the US Army almost, because for me, there were a lot of scenes where it was kind of a movie
- 50:36[SPEAKER_05]: assembly of a symbol of men, what you can save the world.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_05]: I know that we can we see that in many movies that the US Army will save the world, but in this way, particularly, it was crazy how much they actually emphasize that the world actually focus on this.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean they have like zero chance of surviving.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_05]: during the movie, especially at the end, because they're like a tea finger when they say, okay, so this is getting of the world, because what's happening at the end of it?
- 51:06[SPEAKER_05]: But still, there's like montage about the crazy, I don't know if it's the delta force of the rangers who are going to save us all, etc.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_05]: What's going, it's made me think of Starship Proopers, but if Starship Proopers was not ironic, because in Starship Proopers, you have all these scenes where you actually say, yeah, good, the infantry will save us, etc.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_05]: But it's obviously, the joke around, basically, they make fun of this idea.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_05]: I'm pretty sure that these scenes in one machine were to be taken seriously, which is a problem, so that's what I remember.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_05]: That's my opinion.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_05]: And the second thing I want to say is, yeah, obviously, and the director, I know that it's deaf,
- 51:49[SPEAKER_05]: bit of the movie is definitely inspired by Metal Gear Solid movie video games.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I didn't know anything about it, but after 10 minutes, we do think it's same.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_05]: This is the Metal Gear, but I played thousand hours of it.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_05]: Like, yeah, the same weapons, I don't know, can't be a nerd there.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_05]: The same weapons, the same way of his behaving is it.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_05]: That's crazy, is it?
- 52:11[SPEAKER_05]: And I find out that ideal Kujima with the creator of Metal Gear Solid franchise actually is happy and a lot of it is happy, but someone actually finally made the Metal Gear on the big screen or on the small screen actually.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_05]: Since actually, not gonna get a movie.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_05]: Well, that was true until last month when one machine was announced released and now we're gonna have probably a Metal Gear Solid movie but anyway, that's another topic.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you've been waiting at the gates for a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a little bit of a
- 53:08[SPEAKER_03]: The comic ship, we have a superhero, we have a bit of a teenage anx, it's Mark Grayson as a, as the titular character, who has subanity's kind of like family life and his parentage and
- 53:26[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I'd be watching this since seasons one and two and three and it's been always very good.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's actually strangely enough.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes it's the best kind of like writing on DB for a work for, and it is a kind of my cartoon, but it is.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_03]: It's quite intriguing.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_03]: Andrew.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_03]: you watch this as well, season, season feel for, I think, when I do it.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_01]: No, season four, I think the show and I said they're going to try to do the whole run of the comics, but then could take a while, so hopefully it doesn't take too many years, especially the gap between seasons and giving times the animators to do their work.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, I think that's one of the issues.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_01]: Not so much of what you'd actually see, but the idea that, you know, what you see is good.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the time to incorporate the stuff from the comics and trying to do that.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_01]: So that doesn't wind up taking decades.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, I mean, you want to get time to, like I said, the animators and
- 54:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think that is the one that's the one that complains so you know that that's your is good and that people want to see more and you know not to have too long gap between seasons so and also I guess when the earlier seasons would they have like a break you know between within the season itself so that didn't go over too well so it have it be continuous not you know four episodes then a few months and four more episodes so
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so yeah, I mean, what you have is good without going into what actually will happen.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_01]: It is adapting the comics or trying to be relatively close to what is in the comics.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_01]: So to give it so far, is that you have Mark or
- 55:18[SPEAKER_01]: as he's known, also an invincible title character, applying to deal with the effects of the previous season or seasons, and the potential attack on
- 55:34[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they've already been attacks, but more attacks on Earth by the Viltramites and how Earth is dealing with that and Earthlings are still a little bit stressful of Mark because of what it has happened in the last couple episodes of the
- 56:03[SPEAKER_01]: The vulgar mice coming, you know, do they really trust Mark?
- 56:06[SPEAKER_01]: Do they really trust in municipal?
- 56:08[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's dealing with that.
- 56:12[SPEAKER_01]: Same time, there are other issues unrelated to that.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_01]: There are potential villains, other, you have the the sequids who come back as a threat.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_01]: And, um,
- 56:28[SPEAKER_01]: I guess as a Mr. Liu, there's another threat and then that whole issue and then there's Damien Darkblood.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_01]: who's basically, I guess like there are version next be of Hellboy or Austin team or whatever.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, basically that kind of XB within this universe.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_01]: So all these characters and issues that you've seen in previous seasons, they come back because you know, people know what's going on with them, they set up the things and future seasons.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not just the built-in mites but other threats as well and then you have the gardens to the globe and things that happen with them and some of the guardians get separated by being in another universe or another reality.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_01]: So you're trying to get them to come back from that reality from dealing with the flaxons.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_01]: So there's definitely a lot of stuff going on
- 57:36[SPEAKER_01]: And then in addition to all that, there's the issues that Mark is dealing with in his personal life with Eve and his social life.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then that's something that impacts this season.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, there's definitely a lot to unpack a lot going on this season.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_01]: So it's definitely good.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so hopefully, you see the story is continue.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_01]: And you usually hopefully don't have to wait too long.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_03]: So they, I guess they're trying to explain people
- 58:06[SPEAKER_03]: there's a lot going on so in a lot of these seasons you get it's oh this must be a filler this is a flet episode it does not have time for a flet episode you've got so many different genre almost sort of characters and not them are very almost satire of different characters in another comic book like this.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_03]: and so and they explore such different worlds of spiritual realm or science fiction and this be kind of like galactic empires it's it does it packs a lot and it's only eight episodes but you are almost side stories happening simultaneously so it is that's why you conclude to each episode because so much is happening sometimes they wrap it up in the in the backstory in one episode
- 58:52[SPEAKER_03]: You get your bang for your buck, honestly, that we'll be with this series, because then and you do show a lot of bloody adults.
- 59:02[SPEAKER_03]: consequences of this destructive power, which these super-powered bigs.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I always say, you know, when you have an off season, when you, you've got the boy is going on as well on another prime series, but then you've got this when that ends.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_03]: So you kind of like, between the two, you've got this kind of like very much, I say grounded consequences of super-powered beings on people on
- 59:29[SPEAKER_03]: you know, it's a good mix, but yeah, a lot of dense properties going on as well.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_03]: And it's funny as well.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's got a nice, you know, satire and nice comic edge to it as well.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_03]: They can.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and speaking of which, when the other characters who get some time like the,
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: I guess what you'd call like alternate of subplots is the character of Alan.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_01]: And then the miclops out of space.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: And Dylan's growl isn't a planet.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: And he's voiced by subrogan.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_01]: Also one of the producers of this show.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, he's comic, but also serious at the same time.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_01]: So, they're dealing in the coalition of planets, the coalition against the filter
- 1:00:17[SPEAKER_01]: Mark's father or the former Omni man and dealing with that speaking which another thing that they're dealing with is Oliver Mark's half brother
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_01]: and how Oliver wants to kind of be his own heroes, own superheroes.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, definitely a lot of stuff on the back, a lot of stuff, only eight episodes, I guess, but yeah, yeah, that's it.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_01]: Last up going on in those eight episodes.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm a great voice cost when you do this, oh yeah.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_03]: Sandra, I mean, even...
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_03]: Frug and all that I recognize that voice and I prefer is it one but yeah, if you just look at the credit's great voice car So it's so you can be a testament to the kind of Showing the writing and the quality that you got going here.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_03]: So if you haven't caught up with it.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, definitely give it a go if you like That genre but you like to go a bit beyond it and it's quite good so I've got a lot of sand pack there
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_03]: Right, thanks, I think that's it really for this month, but thanks for our request, which would, I found out an Andrew, and we'll see you next time, thanks.
