- 0:09Speaker 1: Advice Shot. It's he lower lower, lower lower. Welcome to
- 0:15Speaker 1: the Naughty but Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and it is Thursday, which means our dear friend Mark
- 0:21Speaker 1: Lee Bow joins us. Hey, Lubi there, Lippy louis here,
- 0:25Speaker 1: Hey Lupilus. We prepare for this podcast. Let's let everybody
- 0:31Speaker 1: in behind the scenes here. Let's let's draw the curtain back.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Pull that curtain back. So we prepare, and even though
- 0:37Speaker 1: it's not scripted, we do have a lineup. We have
- 0:41Speaker 1: our stories. We know what we're going to talk about.
- 0:44Speaker 1: We talk about it the night before, we text each other,
- 0:46Speaker 1: we go back and forth with ideas, so we have
- 0:49Speaker 1: a whole outline for a show. And I think that's
- 0:51Speaker 1: one of the reasons thankfully our podcast us so well,
- 0:55Speaker 1: is that we come prepared. It's not just two friends,
- 0:58Speaker 1: Mark chattering for chatting, chatting away for thirty rambling on minutes.
- 1:03Speaker 1: We we know all those podcasts out there, and I'm
- 1:05Speaker 1: not trashing them. I'm not. They're really fun, but I
- 1:08Speaker 1: try to make this as polished and as professional as possible.
- 1:12Speaker 1: You Mark, I We've worked on TV shows, We've worked
- 1:14Speaker 1: on radio shows. This is how real A list TV
- 1:18Speaker 1: show works, Yes, exactly, So another that before, we have
- 1:22Speaker 1: a full idea of what the show is going to
- 1:24Speaker 1: be every night. Yes, And they do this on television too.
- 1:27Speaker 1: When you turn on and you see Hoda and Savannah,
- 1:29Speaker 1: they're not just chatting away. This is not just random thoughts.
- 1:33Speaker 1: The show is mapped out and it gives the show
- 1:36Speaker 1: a structure, a framework. So we do that always the
- 1:39Speaker 1: night before. But then this morning, I woke up early
- 1:43Speaker 1: to go on TV and talk about Harry and they're
- 1:45Speaker 1: gonna part two, and it's just so much stuff that
- 1:49Speaker 1: I've thrown out the script. Mark, you didn't know I
- 1:51Speaker 1: was going to do this, but I've thrown out the script.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So we're flying blind, so to speak, today, And instead
- 1:57Speaker 1: of going over all the news that we are going
- 2:00Speaker 1: to cover, we're just going to dedicate this entire episode
- 2:02Speaker 1: to part two of Megan and Harry. So don't worry.
- 2:06Speaker 1: It's not really spoiler alerts. It's it's the headlines. It's
- 2:09Speaker 1: it's our interpretation of what's going on here. So even
- 2:13Speaker 1: if you haven't watched the show yet, don't worry. You
- 2:15Speaker 1: can still listen to the podcast. Now. I think it'll
- 2:18Speaker 1: actually make the viewing experience even better because you'll have
- 2:22Speaker 1: some real insights. Hey are you ready to jump in?
- 2:24Speaker 1: My friends? Who I'm a bit nervous. Hey, what time
- 2:27Speaker 1: is it? It is t time? Okay. So the biggest
- 2:31Speaker 1: story for me, the biggest takeaway from the newer part
- 2:35Speaker 1: two documentary is that Harry reveals that he was heartbroken
- 2:41Speaker 1: after Prince William, his brother, broke their pack. Let me
- 2:45Speaker 1: explain what this is. So the two of them agreed
- 2:47Speaker 1: they made a pack that they would not let each
- 2:50Speaker 1: other's office trade negative stories about each other. Harry said
- 2:55Speaker 1: the following quote, William and I saw what happened when
- 2:59Speaker 1: add AD's office, Remember their dad's office allegedly leaked stories
- 3:04Speaker 1: about Princess Diana. So they saw that, and they said,
- 3:08Speaker 1: we made an agreement as young boys, and agreement as
- 3:11Speaker 1: young boys growing up, we're never ever going to let
- 3:14Speaker 1: that happen to our offices. And then Harry said, I
- 3:17Speaker 1: would rather get destroyed in the press then play along
- 3:21Speaker 1: with this game or this business of trading. And to
- 3:24Speaker 1: see my brother's office do the same thing that we
- 3:27Speaker 1: promised each other we would never do is heartbreaking. This
- 3:31Speaker 1: is a bomb, shall Mark, because what's going on here
- 3:34Speaker 1: is Harry is a llegend that the negative press that
- 3:37Speaker 1: he got that Megan got came maybe not from his brother,
- 3:42Speaker 1: but from his brother's office. I mean, Rob, it's just
- 3:46Speaker 1: so amazing to hear this because they're sort of attachment
- 3:49Speaker 1: from the reality that most of us live, like we
- 3:52Speaker 1: have a problem with our siblings. We don't think about like, well,
- 3:55Speaker 1: their office releases story. I mean, it must be incredibly
- 4:01Speaker 1: hurtful to know that your your brother is somehow involved
- 4:04Speaker 1: in in your demise, you know, in the press right
- 4:08Speaker 1: it's it's it's shocking revelation. Now I should point out
- 4:11Speaker 1: to somebody that has been a publicist for big stars,
- 4:14Speaker 1: this is how it works. It really is how it works.
- 4:18Speaker 1: In my PR days, the hottest star that I represented
- 4:20Speaker 1: was Jennifer Lopez. She was the one that everybody wanted
- 4:23Speaker 1: on the cover, and I certainly made it clear that
- 4:26Speaker 1: if you want Jennifer Lopez on the cover of this magazine,
- 4:29Speaker 1: you have to put Alicia Keys on it. On a
- 4:31Speaker 1: different months, I also represented Alicia Keys. I traded all
- 4:35Speaker 1: the time Jessica Simpson and Ashley Simpson. I had both sisters,
- 4:38Speaker 1: and everybody wanted Jessica. Nobody wanted Ashley. I know, it's
- 4:42Speaker 1: all I know, but there really was sort of a
- 4:45Speaker 1: deal where if Entertainment Tonight wanted to talk to Jessica,
- 4:50Speaker 1: then I expected a really nice piece on Ashley Simpson.
- 4:54Speaker 1: You've dealt with publicist Mark throughout your career. This trading.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It's part of the game. It is, and as a
- 5:00Speaker 1: reporter at US Weekly for many years, it was the
- 5:03Speaker 1: same kind of thing. It's like, if you want the scoop,
- 5:05Speaker 1: you'll have to, you know, give my other client a
- 5:07Speaker 1: feature that might be as well known. I've done that
- 5:09Speaker 1: for people, you know, random fitness instructors and blah blah.
- 5:13Speaker 1: But then you get this this huge scoop which could
- 5:16Speaker 1: be you know, a changing moment for you or for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the outlet you're working for. Yeah, whenever I see somebody's
- 5:21Speaker 1: hairdresser getting a page feature in the vagazine, I'm like, oh,
- 5:25Speaker 1: they're talking about that. Start. There's the way they would
- 5:29Speaker 1: get four pages on how to do a perfect button? Now, well,
- 5:33Speaker 1: how to do a perfect ponytail or their life if
- 5:36Speaker 1: they were trading stuff. It's the same in page six
- 5:39Speaker 1: and the gossip columns. If you really look closely, you'll
- 5:42Speaker 1: know who the sources are. Because the fingerprints are everywhere.
- 5:46Speaker 1: If there's something that stands out that shouldn't really be there,
- 5:49Speaker 1: that feels too much of a promotion, then the person
- 5:52Speaker 1: they're promoting is most likely the person who's given them
- 5:56Speaker 1: good discs. So I hate that their brothers and has
- 6:00Speaker 1: happened to them within the family, but it is how
- 6:03Speaker 1: the game is played, and I think it's naive of
- 6:06Speaker 1: Harry to not understand that. He also said that the
- 6:09Speaker 1: moment everything exploded, the moment the negative press was overwhelming,
- 6:14Speaker 1: was after their two thousand and eighteen really successful tour
- 6:18Speaker 1: of Australia. Remember when they went to Australia, they were
- 6:21Speaker 1: they were everywhere. We love them, they were funny, Harry
- 6:24Speaker 1: said the following, and are shocked he said it. He said,
- 6:27Speaker 1: quote the issue is when somebody who's marrying Ina into
- 6:32Speaker 1: the family, who should be the supporting act, is stealing
- 6:36Speaker 1: the spotlight or is doing the job better than the
- 6:41Speaker 1: person who was born to do this. So he's saying
- 6:45Speaker 1: here that Megan at Sean, his brother, Kate, the Queen, everybody,
- 6:50Speaker 1: he said, it shifts the balance and this can lead
- 6:54Speaker 1: to the perception that all your charities and your reputation
- 6:59Speaker 1: it's not going to grow if you're not on the
- 7:01Speaker 1: front pages. So this is such an insight into a
- 7:04Speaker 1: really messed up family. You're worth is on how many
- 7:08Speaker 1: covers you're on. We know this from celebrities, Mark A
- 7:11Speaker 1: lot of celebrities love to be in the press. The
- 7:13Speaker 1: housewives are the are the clearest example of this. They
- 7:16Speaker 1: feel like they're dying if we're not talking about them,
- 7:20Speaker 1: so they keep doing more and more outrageous things, saying
- 7:22Speaker 1: stupid stuff so that we talk about them. They value
- 7:25Speaker 1: their self by how much press they get. Harry is
- 7:28Speaker 1: saying that happened too within the family. It's such a
- 7:31Speaker 1: great point. And that was a revelation that I really
- 7:33Speaker 1: enjoyed learning this morning because when I worked at US Weekly,
- 7:36Speaker 1: the story that was the big you know, Megan was
- 7:39Speaker 1: everything to us at that time. Everything every week she
- 7:41Speaker 1: was on the cover, cover, cover, every online story is Megan, Megan, Megan,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and you know, everyone else kind of got lost in
- 7:48Speaker 1: the shovel. And I can see how they would create
- 7:50Speaker 1: jealousy and jealous Yeah, it was wild, isn't it? And
- 7:53Speaker 1: I just got the numbers. At the end of the year,
- 7:55Speaker 1: Google gives out their most searched person. It's Megan a million.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Kate comes in number two, then Harry and William's last.
- 8:03Speaker 1: But it's amazing the competitiveness, and we know that too.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Famous people are so competitive. They pretend not to be,
- 8:10Speaker 1: but they know exactly how much press another person's getting
- 8:14Speaker 1: in my pr days. I'm not going to name who,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but I think you might know him. He's a famous rapper. Hello, didude.
- 8:20Speaker 1: If he ever saw another rapper getting more pressed than him,
- 8:25Speaker 1: he was furious. I knew, I knew he would change
- 8:27Speaker 1: his name the next day because he needed to get
- 8:29Speaker 1: the spat light back on himself. Okay, let's move on
- 8:32Speaker 1: with the royals. Harry said that he wants a genuine
- 8:37Speaker 1: apology from the Royals. Well, he shouldn't hold his breath,
- 8:41Speaker 1: so he said the following quote. None of us really
- 8:44Speaker 1: wanted to talk at my grandfather's funeral, but we did
- 8:48Speaker 1: remember after the funeral, Kate set them up to talk
- 8:52Speaker 1: and then they had a meeting afterwards. He said, it
- 8:54Speaker 1: was really hard, especially spending time having chats with my
- 8:59Speaker 1: brother and my father, who were focused on some misinterpretation
- 9:04Speaker 1: of the whole situation. I'd like to know exactly what
- 9:07Speaker 1: that means here because he thinks they have misinterpreted what
- 9:11Speaker 1: is going on. He added, I've had to make peace
- 9:14Speaker 1: with the fact that I'm probably never going to get
- 9:16Speaker 1: a genuine apology. My wife and I were moving on,
- 9:21Speaker 1: We're focused on the next chapter. Well, I don't think
- 9:24Speaker 1: that's quite true, because you are now talking about your past.
- 9:28Speaker 1: If you were really focusing on the next chapter, you
- 9:31Speaker 1: wouldn't be doing this exactly. And I think this narrative,
- 9:35Speaker 1: you know, them being misunderstood or treated poorly. We're tired
- 9:39Speaker 1: of it, and it's and it's all they've been talking about.
- 9:42Speaker 1: I don't know what there is to talk about at
- 9:44Speaker 1: this point. Like you've said it over and over and
- 9:47Speaker 1: over again. Right, we've had it in our own lives.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Have you had a friend that you fell out with
- 9:51Speaker 1: and you both see the same event through totally different eyes,
- 9:54Speaker 1: Like it's just it was like different events, Like we
- 9:57Speaker 1: went to the same party and something can't and and
- 10:00Speaker 1: we both interpreted it in a different way, and we'll
- 10:02Speaker 1: never ever agree. We're never going to agree on that. No.
- 10:05Speaker 1: But and I I don't think that going on TV
- 10:08Speaker 1: and talking about it for hours it's going to help
- 10:10Speaker 1: you get that apology. I think you've just solidified and
- 10:12Speaker 1: you'll never get that apology, right, right, right, Well, Harry
- 10:15Speaker 1: claims the Palace lied when denying that Prince William bullied
- 10:22Speaker 1: them out of the family. So Harry heavily hinted this
- 10:25Speaker 1: was a bombshell. He heavily hinted that the real reason
- 10:29Speaker 1: behind exit was his brother, Prince William, and he accused
- 10:34Speaker 1: the Palace of lying to protect the heir to the throne.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And so Harry recalls, on the same day as the
- 10:41Speaker 1: Sandrington's summit, that's when they all got together with the Queen,
- 10:46Speaker 1: a story came out saying that part of the reason
- 10:49Speaker 1: they were leaving was because William had bullied them out.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Harry said the following. Once I got in the car
- 10:56Speaker 1: after the meeting, I was told about a joint statement
- 11:00Speaker 1: that had been put out in my name and my
- 11:02Speaker 1: brothers quatching the story about him bullying us out of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the family. I couldn't believe it. Nobody had asked my
- 11:09Speaker 1: permission to put my name on the statement like that,
- 11:13Speaker 1: He seived, strongly, suggesting that he would not have made
- 11:18Speaker 1: this denial. So he ranked M. That's Megan, So we
- 11:22Speaker 1: ranked M, and she burst into tears, not helping Megan,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and then the young Prince said the saddest part of
- 11:28Speaker 1: the whole scandal was the wedge this had created between
- 11:33Speaker 1: him and his brother. You know, I it's sorry to
- 11:38Speaker 1: say what the truth is here. I would imagine there
- 11:41Speaker 1: is some truth somewhere in the middle of all this.
- 11:43Speaker 1: But Rob, we have to remember that the firm, the institution,
- 11:46Speaker 1: this is a business and they have to protect their assets.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And right now William is going to inherit this throne.
- 11:52Speaker 1: He's going to inherit the business. And I don't I
- 11:54Speaker 1: am not surprised at all that they would do what
- 11:57Speaker 1: they have to do to make sure that this continues
- 11:59Speaker 1: on and it can be so stainable. They look after
- 12:01Speaker 1: the boss. You know it. In your own office, your
- 12:03Speaker 1: own shop, your own restaurant. You're not going to beat
- 12:05Speaker 1: the boss. They will look after the boss. I've been
- 12:07Speaker 1: fired many times because I've took home the boss. You
- 12:10Speaker 1: can't if you're going to fight. I don't want you
- 12:12Speaker 1: to bully people, but if you can fight, fight with
- 12:14Speaker 1: somebody a little lower down on the totem pole. Bark
- 12:17Speaker 1: because if you fight with the boss, you're not going
- 12:19Speaker 1: to win. And William is the boss here. He's going
- 12:22Speaker 1: to be the king, and everything is really created around
- 12:26Speaker 1: William to make sure this happened. I did laugh though.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Harry said that his brother screamed at him. I can
- 12:32Speaker 1: imagine it now. So he said, I was terrified to
- 12:35Speaker 1: have my brother scream and shout at me and my
- 12:38Speaker 1: father say things that simply were not true. He defended
- 12:42Speaker 1: his late grandmother, So his grandmother was at this meeting.
- 12:45Speaker 1: So it was Charles, it was William, it was the queen,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and he defended his grandmother, and he said she just
- 12:51Speaker 1: sat there and took it all in, noting that her
- 12:54Speaker 1: goal in life has been to defend the institution. He
- 12:58Speaker 1: did point out, though, if people telling her something, particularly
- 13:01Speaker 1: if it's Charles and William, she's probably going to take
- 13:05Speaker 1: that advice. He ultimately said that they finished the meeting
- 13:08Speaker 1: without any plan, and he said that his family blamed
- 13:13Speaker 1: him and his wife for the situation, not the institution
- 13:16Speaker 1: and not the media. That's the fundamental problem here. They
- 13:20Speaker 1: blame Harry and Megan for this mess. Partly right, Megan
- 13:25Speaker 1: and Harry blame the media and the institution. They're partly
- 13:30Speaker 1: right too. They both can be right, but no one's
- 13:33Speaker 1: willing to budge here, No, I mean right, this is
- 13:35Speaker 1: just it's a reminder that they're just like us. This
- 13:38Speaker 1: is the most dysfunctional, bizarre thing, and there they are
- 13:42Speaker 1: no better than any other dysfunctional family in America or
- 13:45Speaker 1: anywhere else. And so this makes me laugh, like just imagining,
- 13:49Speaker 1: like if I screamed my brother Jonathan, which he used
- 13:52Speaker 1: to it, I mean, yeah, I just would be laughed.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I can imagine Williams Jonathan ever screamed at you. I
- 13:58Speaker 1: mean that in recent years, but he has. I'm of
- 14:01Speaker 1: the screamer. I would screw more of the screamer. Well,
- 14:04Speaker 1: you're the William. You're the older brother. Correct, that's so
- 14:07Speaker 1: Jonathan's Harry, Harry, you're William. I'm the Harry because my
- 14:11Speaker 1: brother Douglas is older. He screamed at me about a
- 14:15Speaker 1: year ago. I got a vicious email. I know, my
- 14:18Speaker 1: father had gone to the hospital and everybody was a
- 14:21Speaker 1: little on edge. And I'm three thousand miles away and
- 14:24Speaker 1: five hours behind, so my edge was probably a little sharp.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Or my brother Douglas always screwed. I tell you, I
- 14:32Speaker 1: was terrified, just like just like Harry terrified. Okay, moving along,
- 14:37Speaker 1: William's last text to Harry. That's a good cover line
- 14:42Speaker 1: for US Weekly, isn't it? The last text? So Megan's
- 14:45Speaker 1: on the phone to Tyler Perry as she would be
- 14:48Speaker 1: chatting away, and she said, Tyler, h just got a
- 14:52Speaker 1: text from his brother. And then she said, all right,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I'll talk to you later. So she she hangs up,
- 14:58Speaker 1: and Harry puts his heir Oh my goodness, his head
- 15:01Speaker 1: down into his knees and he's sort of size. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: wish I knew what to do. It's so dramatic, and
- 15:09Speaker 1: it's very surprising. The cameras happened to be there for this.
- 15:13Speaker 1: It's very real. House moves. Megan hugs him. She hugs him,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and she says, I know, let's take a breather, get
- 15:19Speaker 1: some air, and then decide. Of course, the dramatic content
- 15:24Speaker 1: of the text we don't know. It wasn't revealed. What
- 15:28Speaker 1: do you think that text said? It said, are you
- 15:30Speaker 1: filming Netflix? I mean, I'm still stuck with the fact
- 15:34Speaker 1: that William uses the cell phone. I didn't know that
- 15:36Speaker 1: the Royals had access to I guess, but I mean,
- 15:39Speaker 1: I can't imagine what the last quote unquote text said.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It probably said still don't ever talk to me again,
- 15:45Speaker 1: or you know you're out of the family. I don't know,
- 15:46Speaker 1: but I want my crown back, my crown back, jewels again.
- 15:51Speaker 1: So dysfunctional. I can't imagine like ending your relationship on
- 15:55Speaker 1: the on the text. You know this is your brother,
- 15:58Speaker 1: Come on, but I know, But have you I've had
- 16:00Speaker 1: some fights on text, Mark, I'm ashamed to admit it.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I have, and I've always said to myself, I'll call
- 16:06Speaker 1: them the next day, and often I don't rub I know,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I don't. I try to be honestly, I try to
- 16:13Speaker 1: be the boy if Mark, if I said you, if
- 16:16Speaker 1: we fall out, it's going to say the last text
- 16:18Speaker 1: really dramatic, and the last that's that's that's in fact,
- 16:22Speaker 1: that might be the entire content, the last text about it.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And like Scandal as Plaze. The one part of the
- 16:30Speaker 1: documentary that I thought was kind of charming and really
- 16:33Speaker 1: made me full of hope was right in the beginning
- 16:36Speaker 1: where Harry filmed them on the Freedom flight. So he
- 16:39Speaker 1: was leaving the UK for the very last time, flying
- 16:42Speaker 1: to California, and he breaks out into this huge smile
- 16:45Speaker 1: and he starts to to chuckle, and he says he's laughing.
- 16:50Speaker 1: He's on a freedom flight. It was the most obvious
- 16:54Speaker 1: place to come. He looks so happy here. Part of
- 16:58Speaker 1: me questions, then, if you're so happy leaving, why are
- 17:01Speaker 1: we going back. I know it's about the money, and
- 17:03Speaker 1: that's not a crude thing to say. They're getting a
- 17:05Speaker 1: hundred million dollars. They gotta pay their bills. I'm not
- 17:08Speaker 1: slamming them for that. It's just so curious. If this
- 17:11Speaker 1: time is so painful it clearly is, why are they
- 17:14Speaker 1: reliving it? I don't know, but I do want to
- 17:16Speaker 1: plug something about myself. The day they announced that they
- 17:18Speaker 1: were leaving the institution, I was like, you know what,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I need to call Megan's father and I called. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: called Thomas. I was like Thomas, Hello, He's like hello.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Of like, hey, it's more most weekly. I want to
- 17:29Speaker 1: know how you feel about your daughter leaving the institution.
- 17:32Speaker 1: He said to me, I'm very disappointed. And I was like, wow,
- 17:37Speaker 1: I just I became part of this history. That just
- 17:39Speaker 1: become part of this story. Become part of the story.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I love that we have access to these people. Back
- 17:43Speaker 1: to Tyler Perry. So Tyler Perry that pops up to
- 17:47Speaker 1: and he compares the treatment of Megan to battery. He
- 17:50Speaker 1: said that he saw his mom abused for yours and
- 17:53Speaker 1: he knows the symptoms, and this is what it was like.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Tyler allowed them to stay in one of his mansions. Now,
- 17:59Speaker 1: meg and says the Royal family blocked her from getting
- 18:03Speaker 1: help while suicidal. This is something not to be laughed at.
- 18:07Speaker 1: This is really serious and I just can't imagine this happened,
- 18:10Speaker 1: and if he did, there needs to be an inquiry
- 18:13Speaker 1: about this. So she said, I wanted to go somewhere
- 18:15Speaker 1: and get help, and I just wasn't allowed. They were
- 18:18Speaker 1: concerned about how it would look for the institution. After
- 18:22Speaker 1: admitting his own shame about this, Harry went on to
- 18:27Speaker 1: say that he just didn't know what to do and
- 18:30Speaker 1: he just couldn't. I couldn't figure this out. Nobody, he said,
- 18:35Speaker 1: would have a private conversation with the newspaper editors, saying enough.
- 18:40Speaker 1: His dad told him, quote, darling boy, you can't take
- 18:43Speaker 1: on the media, and Harry replied, I fundamentally disagree, and
- 18:48Speaker 1: I think that's the sense of this documentary that is
- 18:51Speaker 1: all over the place. Is it the palace's fault? Is
- 18:53Speaker 1: it the family's fault? Is it William's fault. Is it
- 18:56Speaker 1: the media's fault? It seems that they are blaming everybody
- 18:59Speaker 1: here for this situation that they partly created themselves. Mark, Yeah, exactly.
- 19:03Speaker 1: I think there's blame to be had all around. And
- 19:06Speaker 1: you know what, My understanding is that the British media
- 19:09Speaker 1: and the Royal Institution have some kind of connection. There
- 19:12Speaker 1: is that exchange of like, we'll give you access to
- 19:15Speaker 1: our lives and it's the trade. And again it isn't it.
- 19:17Speaker 1: But you can't control the US media. You haven't control
- 19:21Speaker 1: that we're going to publish a story. We're gonna publish
- 19:22Speaker 1: a story. You have no control over that. So no control.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I think it must be hard for them when when
- 19:26Speaker 1: they realize that they don't have the say in everything,
- 19:29Speaker 1: and you can't have a provor on every story, you know,
- 19:32Speaker 1: good or bad. Right. I remember when I was working
- 19:34Speaker 1: with Jessica Simpson, there was a bad story on her
- 19:36Speaker 1: and I tried to trade the press. It was a
- 19:39Speaker 1: true story, so I couldn't kill it. It was true
- 19:41Speaker 1: and it was not good, and I was like, well,
- 19:43Speaker 1: why don't we sort of let that go away? And
- 19:46Speaker 1: you do at home with Jessica for Christmas or baby
- 19:49Speaker 1: Thanksgiving with Christmas. If ever you see a celebrity on
- 19:52Speaker 1: the cover of a magazine cooking the turk or opening
- 19:55Speaker 1: a Christmas gift, you know there is truy. Well, so
- 20:00Speaker 1: we didn't do a break on this show. My heart
- 20:02Speaker 1: is going to be furious, but it's all about us
- 20:04Speaker 1: today and Megan naughty, So let's end with two more delicious,
- 20:09Speaker 1: delicious items. Maybe the most curious thing said is that
- 20:14Speaker 1: Megan said she always were seen as a foreign organism
- 20:20Speaker 1: in the Royal family. So she had a chat with
- 20:22Speaker 1: Harry's private secretary, who works for the Queen for almost
- 20:25Speaker 1: twenty years, and he described the Royal family the institution
- 20:29Speaker 1: like a fish that's swimming perfectly in its own current,
- 20:33Speaker 1: and then this little organism comes along and it's a
- 20:35Speaker 1: foreign organism and it upsets everything. And the advice was basically,
- 20:40Speaker 1: don't swim against the tide. You're not gonna win. The
- 20:43Speaker 1: family is going to win. Not bad advice, not bad advice,
- 20:47Speaker 1: not bet advice. And she is she was the you
- 20:49Speaker 1: know that, the addition, the new person, and she brought
- 20:51Speaker 1: something very different. And I think that always is hard
- 20:54Speaker 1: when you enter a family and you're you're the new
- 20:56Speaker 1: person and you're not accustomed to those traditions. Who again,
- 20:59Speaker 1: it goes back to the showing them that are showing
- 21:01Speaker 1: us at least that they are just like us. They are,
- 21:04Speaker 1: they're just like well to show how just like us
- 21:09Speaker 1: they really are. This one makes me scream and I
- 21:11Speaker 1: think they're going to get some bad press for this.
- 21:13Speaker 1: They claim that their royal house was just too small,
- 21:17Speaker 1: so literally too small. Harry complained, as far as people
- 21:23Speaker 1: were concerned, we were living in a palace, but we're
- 21:26Speaker 1: actually in a cottage. And then Negan pipes up we
- 21:31Speaker 1: were in the palace grounds. So Kensington Palace. It sounds
- 21:36Speaker 1: very regal, doesn't it. I mean, palace is even in
- 21:38Speaker 1: the name, but not Ingham Cottage is not Kensington Palace.
- 21:44Speaker 1: The six ft one prince complained, the ceilings are really low.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I don't know who lived here before me, but they
- 21:52Speaker 1: must be really short. Not a good look. This is
- 21:55Speaker 1: not a good look. We have rent free on the
- 21:58Speaker 1: grounds of Kensington Alls. It might be a cottage, but
- 22:02Speaker 1: we would kill for this cottage. Of course. You know,
- 22:05Speaker 1: it was really fascinating to seeing pictures of them at
- 22:08Speaker 1: home and like seeing their mess and the shoes on
- 22:11Speaker 1: the floor and like the clothes like it's just a
- 22:14Speaker 1: really fascinating and side look into like this one's life.
- 22:16Speaker 1: But I mean to then go to Tyler Perry's humongous mansion.
- 22:20Speaker 1: It's like, come on, come on, I don't think they're
- 22:23Speaker 1: doing themselves any good with this, just to wrap up
- 22:27Speaker 1: explosive bonds shells they went there with, particularly William Williams,
- 22:30Speaker 1: the one that he went after here to claim William
- 22:33Speaker 1: was behind or his staff was behind leaks. Is that
- 22:36Speaker 1: Rachel's The stuff about suicide is just heartbreaking and hopefully
- 22:41Speaker 1: if that's true, their changes are made within the palace overall,
- 22:46Speaker 1: really worth sitting down and watching. I'm not sure you
- 22:49Speaker 1: need to do the whole three hours, but fascinating, you know,
- 22:53Speaker 1: six hours. They do come across a little winey though.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I have to say that there's a little bit of
- 22:58Speaker 1: a say. They live like they're so rich Mark, everything
- 23:03Speaker 1: around them so luxurious. Mark. They don't have a job
- 23:05Speaker 1: like we do that they have to go to every day,
- 23:08Speaker 1: so they have to be careful here. But I guess
- 23:11Speaker 1: that cat is already out of the bag. That is
- 23:14Speaker 1: it for today. Thank you so much for listening to
