- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Have you ever found yourself doing all the healthy things and wondering why don't I actually feel any better?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's drinking the water or taking the supplements or eating more protein and walking and exercising, getting enough sleep.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: You know, all the right things.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Maybe you even went out and got a smartwatch, a smart scale, and it's telling you how many steps you've taken and how long you've slept or how your recovery's going, when you should stand up and when you should sit down and what your heart rate is and when you should breathe.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: You're doing it all.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Or at least you feel like you're doing so much of the right stuff, but yet you don't necessarily feel the way that you thought doing all of this was going to make you feel.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: If that's you, today's wellness reset episode isn't about giving you five more things to add to that list.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Actually, what I want to do is almost the opposite.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: I want you to take a look at what you're already doing, and I want you to start asking yourself is this really working for me?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Did it ever work for me?
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Or if it did, is it still working for me?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: So welcome back to the Wellness Reset Thursday episode of the Limitless Living Podcast.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: I'm Frederica Davis, creator of the Limitless Reset Method.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: And every Thursday, we're talking about practical ways to care for your body, for your energy and your nervous system, your whole self, actually, so that you can sustain it, so you can feel whole again instead of like you are just all of these different parts that feel so disconnected.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: This week, what we're gonna talk about on Limitless Living is about getting unstuck.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: On Tuesday, I talked about places in our careers and businesses where routines can quietly become somewhat of a rut for us and how to move forward from that.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: Today, what I want to do is bring that conversation into wellness, but we're going to approach it a little differently today because sometimes what keeps us stuck in our wellness isn't that we don't know what to do.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's actually that we've been doing the same things for so long that we've stopped asking whether they're actually helping us.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: And your body, the body you have today isn't exactly the same body you had five years ago.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: I know you may wish it was.
- 3:09SPEAKER_00: I have those moments too.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: However, it's not.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: And it's certainly not the same body you had 25 or 35 years ago.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Your hormones may have changed, your muscle mass changes, your recovery needs can change, schedules change, our stress loads and demands change, responsibilities change, sleep, nutritional needs in your body can change.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: All of it is variable, and it is not static.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Life changes.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: It's the one thing we can count on.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: It is consistent change throughout our life.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: Yet sometimes we are still trying to care for ourselves according to the rules we picked up decades ago.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: You know, I grew up in the 80s and 90s, uh, no pain, no gain.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: We didn't have boot camps quite yet.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: We had aerobics classes, step classes, kickboxing, tae bow, all that stuff.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: Harder, faster, you know, bigger, bolder, badder, injuries, wear and tear, stress on the body, it was really something.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And if you grew up in that, I'm guessing you might be able to reminisce a little bit on that with me.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: But if you are still at this stage and age believing that exercise only counts if you work up a crazy sweat, or if you work yourself to complete depletion, or it's fast and it's hard.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And yes, there's a moment for all of that to test yourself and push.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: But if that's what you're believing is the only way, it's probably not working for your body these days.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: So maybe you still think that taking a day off means that you're being lazy, or you're afraid if you take a day or two off from what you're doing, you won't get back on, or you'll lose ground.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've learned that eating less is always the better way.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: That was the other thing.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm old enough to remember when, you know, we used to eat real whole foods all the time.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Then TV dinners came out.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Then we had, you know, McDonald's came to the area, then but just kept growing on and on.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: But we had this whole big movement to go fat-free.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Well, that's exactly when our world in America, especially, just got fatter.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: And you can look at this, you can look at the statistics.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Then we were sugar-free, and that's when we got more toxic.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: And we were taught that in order to lose weight, you have to eat less, eat less, eat less.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: And there is a truth in some of that.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: However, at this stage in our life, our needs change.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: Less can be part of what you need.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: More can be part of what you need.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: So if you're still following what you learned in your teens, your 20s, your 30s, your 40s, it may simply not be working because it's not serving the body you have now.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Maybe you are still trying to follow a morning routine that worked beautifully before kids.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're doing something because somebody else on social media, this is a biggie today I see all the time.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Somebody else on social media said every woman over 40 absolutely needs to be doing this.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's a perfectly good recommendation, but there is another question that should come with that.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: And it should be: is it good for you?
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: Is it good for you as your own person?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: I teach a lot of things.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: You could say, I'm that person on social media, I'm that person in a program saying you have to do this, but I'm not.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: I want you to approach things differently and figure out what your own individual body needs.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Because there's a difference between something being generally healthy for you and something being what your body really needs right now, given your situation, your circumstances, your life, your health, your well-being.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: So consistency is really valuable, but rigidity isn't.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: I talk a lot about consistency because the things we do regularly, they really do matter much more than the occasional heroic big deal things that we do.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: But consistency and rigidity are not the same thing.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: So consistency will say, okay, I care for myself regularly.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: I do something every day that is caring for myself, my well-being, my body, my whatever.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: Rigidity says, I have to take care of myself exactly this way, or I have failed.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I have to push myself really hard.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, it doesn't count.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: You get that distinction?
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: These are very different.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Maybe you have always walked three miles every single morning.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Wonderful.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: But what if you barely slept last night?
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: What if you are exhausted?
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: What if your body is asking for something gentler today?
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: Taking a shorter walk or doing some stretching instead mean that you failed?
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: Of course not.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: It means that you paid attention to your body.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: On the other hand, maybe what you've gotten into is a habit of telling yourself that you're just too tired to move.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: You've come home, it's been a long day, you dealt with people, you did this, you did that, you're just tired, you just want to sit again every day.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: But maybe what your body actually needs is more movement.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: This is where we have to pay attention.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: There isn't one answer that fits exactly right every day.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: And maybe that movement's going to be a slow walk, maybe it's going to be stretching, maybe it's going to be a run.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: It depends on what your body needs and what it has the capacity for based on everything else going on.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: So what happens a lot for women is we tend to think of wellness as another job, another to do on our list, our long list, another must, another have to.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: We take this, we drink that, we track this, don't eat this, eat that, get your steps in, hit your protein, meditate, journal, strength train, stretch, meal prep.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: These are all good things, by the way.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Sleep eight hours, manage your stress, and so on and so on.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: So I could go on on.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And now we're stressed because we aren't managing our stress correctly.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Now, that's not what wellness is supposed to become.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: I don't want you spending your entire life managing your health.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: What I wish for you is health that helps you live your life so that you can be limitless.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: There's an important difference here.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: If your entire wellness routine has become this one giant checklist of things that you're supposed to do, then maybe it's time to look at it again.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Not necessarily throw it all away, just look at it.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: And I want to just share: if you're not familiar with blue zones, there are blue zones around the world.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: These are places in the world where people live the longest and the healthiest and the most vibrant.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: At no point have I read anything as I study these practices and different things in the blue zones that says that they spent their lives sitting at a desk eight to 10 to 12 hours a day and then went home and sat some more.
- 10:39SPEAKER_00: Now they have jobs, they sit, but they don't do that.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: At no point have I seen that these people in the healthiest blue zones are doing boot camps, endlessly pushing themselves hard or sleeping six hours a night, or pushing through.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I could go on and on about the practices of people around the world that are the healthiest, the most vibrant, living the most pain-free, happy, and joyous.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: And I know a lot of you would be thinking, oh, well, we don't live there.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: We don't live in uh the rainforest.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: And life is very different there.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: And that's absolutely true.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: But the point is, we can learn a lot from studying these things.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: We can learn a lot about our lifestyles and we can take into account where we're at and work with where we're at to find ways to meet ourselves with what we need versus trying to keep up.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: So here's something I want you to try.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: Instead of adding anything this week, take an inventory of what you're already doing.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Without judgment, of course, okay?
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: We're just collecting information here.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: Think about your meals, your movement, your sleeping routines, supplements, your morning routine, your evening routine, caffeine intake, hydration, recovery, appointments, self-care.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: And then start asking yourself.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: And if you're not part of the free limitless living community that I have, go on in there.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna put this checklist in there for you.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: Or you can grab it in the show notes if you want to go back over this or just listen to the show again and write it down into your journal.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: But start thinking about this.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to add to your to-do list here.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: What I want you to do, and this is temporary, do this for a week or two or even just a few days.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: I want you to notice what of these things, or anything that you're doing in your efforts, what are the things that your body is responding well to?
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: What gives you energy?
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: What makes you feel better?
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: What makes helps you think clearer?
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: What gives you clarity of thought and joy?
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: What do you enjoy?
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Then I want you to think, what am I doing simply because I've just always done it?
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: And what am I doing because somebody told me I should?
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: And most importantly, what am I doing that I've begun to dread?
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Or maybe just isn't working.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean you should actually stop doing it just because you dread it necessarily.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: I don't particularly believe we should only do things that we feel like doing because we don't grow unless we get uncomfortable.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: It's just a fact.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: There are plenty of things that are good for us that we're not going to wake up excited about doing every single morning.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: It's just a fact.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: However, having the dread becomes information for you.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: The resistance you may have around it is information.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: The fatigue is information.
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: So is feeling good or sleeping better or having more energy from it, or the feeling stronger or calmer.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: So pay attention to the feedback that your body is giving you from all of these things.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: And then I want you to think about something else.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: If you're not getting the results or feeling the way you want to from all your efforts, maybe you're just bored.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Yes, bored.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: And you're thinking to yourself, oh, bored.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: I don't have time to be bored, right?
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: However, maybe you've been eating the same healthy breakfast for three years, or walking the same route in your neighborhood, or doing the same workout, or making the same chicken and vegetables, following the same routines, or going through the motions.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And that can be good for a little while, but maybe you have gotten a little bit bored.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: You're doing everything right, potentially, but you have absolutely no joy in it anymore.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe your body doesn't need more discipline.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Maybe it needs a little bit more play brought back in, like a dance class, versus the same exact route every day around the neighborhood, swimming.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Walk somewhere different, somewhere that's more beautiful instead of around the same block.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: I actually will stop and sometimes when I want to walk, uh, I'll think to myself, you know what?
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go out and I'm gonna run errands and I don't know, wherever I'm at, I'm gonna pull over to somebody's neighborhood and I'm gonna walk that neighborhood.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: I will literally walk a beautiful neighborhood where there's really pretty houses and landscaping, and I'll just admire it, walk their neighborhood, get back in my car and come home.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: It's a change of pace.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: You can go to a farmer's market, buy something you never cooked before, and figure out with a new recipe.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: Take your stretching outside in the garden or rent a kayak.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: Try some yoga at the park instead of in your living room or whatever.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Maybe try Tai Chi, something different.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Put some music on, dance around your kitchen, book a massage.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: That's self-care as well.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: Spend an afternoon somewhere new, somewhere beautiful.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Wellness doesn't have to look like punishment all the time, and it doesn't always have to look like optimization all the time either.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the healthiest things that we can actually do are the things that make us feel alive.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: And that can help with that feeling like you're stuck, like you're in a rut.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Now, here's something I teach often.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Instead of constantly asking yourself, what should I make myself do?
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Start asking yourself, what can I gift my body today that will help me feel the way I want to feel?
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: It's a very different question.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: And really look at it like that, like you're gifting it to your body because it's you care enough about yourself, you care enough about your body, gift it to that.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: One of the greatest mindset shifts we can have when we're trying to make some dietary shifts or some health and wellness shifts, is instead of trying to eliminate everything that you might currently want or be having, instead of doing that and taking things out and saying good or bad, how about if you just say, you know what, I'm gonna choose to gift myself this this morning, and then I'm gonna do my best to choose something else at lunch and at dinner that my body needs.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And then if I want the rest, I'll have the rest.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: It's a it's a mindset shift.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: It's a very different question.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe today your gift is going to be movement to yourself or protein or water.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna be getting outside or turning off your phone, disconnecting for a while.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna be going to bed earlier or calling a friend and connecting somehow.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna be strength training or just saying no.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: And I will remind you all, no is a complete sentence.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: It's okay to say no.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna be laughing or doing absolutely nothing productive for an hour.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: The answer won't always be the same.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: The answer will not always be the same.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And that's the point here.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Wellness isn't something you accomplish once and then put it on autopilot forever.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: And we have a tendency to do that, or a tendency to say, well, I used to be able to do this, I'm gonna do this again.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: That worked for me then.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: And it's really not what's working for us now.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Your body isn't a project that you complete, it's ever evolving and it's and it's a relationship you maintain.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: And relationships require listening.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: Your body is always giving you information.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: This is where I want you to get really curious and ask yourself, how do I feel after I eat?
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: How do you feel after you move?
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: How do you feel after sitting at your computer for four hours straight?
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Some of you, it's a lot longer.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: How do you feel after scrolling on your phone?
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: That's a biggie.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: How do you feel after spending time with certain people?
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: Do they lift you up or drain the heck out of you?
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: How do you feel after being outside?
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: And how do you feel after that third cup of coffee?
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: How do you feel when you've gone several days or maybe even more without some kind of meaningful movement?
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: And how do you feel after a good night's sleep?
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: And the opposite of that, how do you feel if you've had some meaningful movement?
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: How do you feel after a good night's sleep versus a bad night's sleep?
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: And how do you feel when you have an afternoon when nobody needs anything and you get it to yourself?
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: That's information.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: We're so accustomed to looking outside ourselves for somebody to tell us what our bodies need that sometimes we forget how to observe our own experiences.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: And I'm certainly not saying that we don't need professionals.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I've built an entire career on being the professional.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: And we do.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: I've hired professionals for myself.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: And there are times when symptoms need medical evaluation.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: There are times when we need physicians, therapists, nutritional professionals, coaches, and other qualified people to help us.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Listening to your body isn't a replacement for that appropriate care, not at all.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: In fact, it's part of the appropriate care.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: It's the first step in getting the appropriate care.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: Because nobody spends as much time in your body as you do.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, after all, I said this a couple different ways this week and other things.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: Wherever you go, that's where you are.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: You can't get away from yourself.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: Before you decide your wellness plan isn't working, there's one more thing I want you to consider.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Are you trying to evaluate your entire life from a depleted state?
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Maybe you aren't sleeping well.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe you aren't sleeping well or enough.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe your work has become really intense and the stress is just off the charts, or you've been caregiving.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: There's some serious stress like no other when you are a caregiver with your parents or when you are a caregiver.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Maybe you are traveling and there's been a lot of different changes, a lot of triggers for your diet, your body, things that are draining you as much as they might be wonderful.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've been eating on the run for two weeks and you've had absolutely nothing really healthy.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Or you've had absolutely no downtime.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: And of course, you're not gonna feel wonderful if these things are happening, but that doesn't necessarily mean you need another wellness protocol.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: You may need some time to restore.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: We as women, we just automatically, most of us, tend to push through.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: And we push ourselves, we think, okay, I'm gonna just push myself out of this rut.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling stuck, I'm feeling like I'm in a rut.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And we just push, push, push, push, push.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And then we add to it instead of actually getting ourselves out.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: We need to give ourselves enough resources to climb out.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Imagine if you gave yourself the resources, just a few of the things that we've been talking about, the difference that might make.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: And this is why I want you to stop automatically assuming the answer is always more effort.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: I see this with glass.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Clients.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: I have witnessed clients who just push and push and push and push and push and push.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: And yes, maybe they're losing weight.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: And yes, maybe they are keeping it all together.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: But what I'm watching with them is uh I'm thinking about several clients in particular whose names shall remain anonymous.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Uh, but they push and push and push.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: And yep, they get so far, then they plateau, and they push a little harder and they plateau harder, and then they feel more run down and more drained.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: And the joy, I see it.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: The joy in their life is just not there.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: The reward, the sense of purpose, the clarity is not there because maybe they are getting some rewards physically, but mentally it's draining them.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Are you this person?
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Or are you the person who needs to do more?
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: These are the things we're looking for when we're asking all these questions.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: And this is why I want you to stop automatically assuming the answer is always more effort.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: So this week's reset for your wellness reset is for the next three days.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: I want you to become an observer.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: After your meals, observe.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: After your movements or lack thereof, after your morning routine, after your evening routine, after some of the things that you regularly do in the name of taking care of yourself, I want you to pause a few seconds and ask yourself after observing did this give me energy?
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: Did that take energy?
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: Or did I feel pretty much the same?
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Very simple.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: You don't need another big spreadsheet or anything like that.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: You don't need to score yourself.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: And this is not a good or a bad thing.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: This is just information and data.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: It's not a big assessment, okay?
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: At the end of these three days, what I want you to do is choose three things.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: One thing that you've been doing that you're gonna keep, that's something that's genuinely serving you after you observing how you react to everything.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: That's gonna be something that's genuinely serving you.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: One thing that you want to adjust.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: So that's gonna be something that may still be valuable for you, but needs to work a little better for the person that you are now.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: And then the third thing is one thing to experiment with.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: Something new.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's gonna be something fun or something that you've been curious about.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's doing something ridiculously small or making a change somehow because you don't need to completely reinvent your wellness routine every time you start to feel stuck.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: Sometimes all you really need to do is listen again and make a little adjustment.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: And before you go, if you've listened to Tuesday's episode about feeling stuck in your career or your business, you may already be noticing a theme here.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: We're not changing anything in a big way this week.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: We're just simply getting curious.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: We're paying attention, we're interrupting the autopilot that you might be on because you cannot change a pattern if you haven't recognized the pattern.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: You have to notice it first.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: And sometimes the smallest adjustment is enough to begin changing the way that you feel.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: So on Saturday, we're gonna take this conversation somewhere deeper because sometimes the rut isn't really your career, and sometimes it isn't really your wellness routine.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you've actually changed.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: But the life around you is still organized around the old version of you.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna talk about what happens when you begin to realize that you may have outgrown parts of who you've been and the identity that you've been carrying.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: So thanks for joining me today.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: If this episode resonated with you, share it with a friend, leave a review, and come back Saturday for another conversation.
