- 0:04Speaker 1: See a podcast called twenty five Wists stuck in and
- 0:09Speaker 1: they went whist So, yeah, it's too bad, but what
- 0:12Speaker 1: did you expect? It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Twenty wine shift works all right, Bobby and Eddie. I
- 0:22Speaker 2: text Eddie half an hour ago and said, hey, do
- 0:24Speaker 2: you want to come to a podcast? And you asked
- 0:26Speaker 2: not what the podcast was about. You have no idea
- 0:28Speaker 2: what we're doing a Bobby Cast Bobby Bone show. I
- 0:31Speaker 2: figure we're doing sports forty five whistles.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 0:33Speaker 2: I have no idea. Cares dude, and I admired that
- 0:36Speaker 2: you can't. I haven't seen it since before.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Chris. I know how you been.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I've been good.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Happy holidays.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I have your Christmas gift.
- 0:41Speaker 3: First of all, yeah, speaking of this.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Hold on, no, I don't even say anything yet because
- 0:46Speaker 2: I got questions yet. This is twenty five Whistles presented
- 0:51Speaker 2: by Draftking Sports Book. Okay, so I have yours first,
- 0:53Speaker 2: and then I'll get questions.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Questions about what my gift to you. Wait, so this is.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Why I got you? Oh yes, it's what you always
- 1:05Speaker 2: George had one.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Dude, this is amazing. It's not even wrapped. I love it.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:09Speaker 2: So our friend George Burge is a really great golfer
- 1:14Speaker 2: and he in his bag he had one of those
- 1:15Speaker 2: sticks with a ball in the end of it that's heavy,
- 1:18Speaker 2: and you would act like you were better after you
- 1:19Speaker 2: used it.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I was like, as soon as I would have warm
- 1:22Speaker 3: up with this, like my drives were straight as an arrow. Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 2: So anyway, when I was like, what can I get him,
- 1:27Speaker 2: that's I got you that.
- 1:28Speaker 3: It's called an orange whip. Yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I think some people use it for like fifty shades
- 1:33Speaker 2: of great stuff, but I think for golf.
- 1:34Speaker 3: So I can take this as the bedroom.
- 1:36Speaker 2: You could, or you could also just stick it in
- 1:37Speaker 2: your butt. It's long enough to just turn it all
- 1:40Speaker 2: the way around.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Dude, thank you. This is amazing. So I'm serious. Every
- 1:44Speaker 3: time I use this, say that I play a lot better.
- 1:46Speaker 2: It's called a placebo. But if it works, a working
- 1:48Speaker 2: placebo is still something that worked.
- 1:50Speaker 3: No, this is this is like the batter is using
- 1:52Speaker 3: the weight on the end of the No, that's not
- 1:55Speaker 3: that's the same deal.
- 1:56Speaker 2: But okay, whatever, Mery Christmas. I ha did at work
- 1:59Speaker 2: the day that our last day. It's always awkward for
- 2:03Speaker 2: me to give presents to you at work because there
- 2:06Speaker 2: are nine or ten other people and a few years
- 2:09Speaker 2: ago we just decided we're all going to buy one gift,
- 2:11Speaker 2: so nobody feels pressure to buy everybody something or like
- 2:14Speaker 2: a few people. Yeah, so I'm always like, ah, I
- 2:16Speaker 2: give this, And there was never a minute where I
- 2:18Speaker 2: could like slide in.
- 2:20Speaker 3: So that's why I brought yours to your house.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Okay, can I ask a couple of questions?
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, what's up? Dude? What's up?
- 2:25Speaker 2: I don't know what it is?
- 2:26Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 2:27Speaker 2: I opened it and I thought you gave me the
- 2:30Speaker 2: wrong gift. No, the only thing that I understood was
- 2:32Speaker 2: it was red. It's a bag and it looks like
- 2:35Speaker 2: do you know the There have been times when I've
- 2:37Speaker 2: been swimming and I've been like, oh my god, do
- 2:40Speaker 2: I for some reason I have panties on and I
- 2:41Speaker 2: didn't realize it. And then you're like, oh, it's the truck.
- 2:43Speaker 2: That thing's inside of the shorts. You ever had that experience?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Uh huh you're a mesh Yeah, and you're like, oh
- 2:47Speaker 2: my god, why do I have panties on? And have
- 2:51Speaker 2: you ever thought of that?
- 2:51Speaker 3: No?
- 2:52Speaker 2: Oh, I have I really heard.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, my god, I know what you're saying,
- 2:54Speaker 3: but I've never thought that.
- 2:56Speaker 2: And so cause it's kind of the meshy stuff. And
- 2:57Speaker 2: then I hope you drove by and like dropped off. President.
- 3:01Speaker 2: I hate opening presents in.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Front of people, and I knew that, so I just
- 3:04Speaker 3: give it you did you like do your thing?
- 3:06Speaker 2: You like threw it in the house and ran go
- 3:07Speaker 2: like a Maltov cocktail.
- 3:09Speaker 3: I didn't even want to give you the I threw
- 3:11Speaker 3: it and.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Took off, and so I opened it not the same
- 3:16Speaker 2: day though, Okay, you waited a little bit. Waited a day, okay,
- 3:19Speaker 2: And why.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Don't you wait for Christmas to open all your We
- 3:23Speaker 3: were going to be in Oklahoma, Okay, you don't want
- 3:24Speaker 3: to take it out there?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Well, I knew it's probably gonna be some awesome I
- 3:26Speaker 2: want to experience it now.
- 3:27Speaker 3: It is awesome.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Okay. I don't know what it is.
- 3:29Speaker 3: It's a pickleball bag, that's what that is. Yeah. Yeah,
- 3:32Speaker 3: it's kind of like room for two rackets and balls
- 3:34Speaker 3: and your like shoes.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Why didn't you say that? It doesn't say it on
- 3:37Speaker 2: the bag at all.
- 3:38Speaker 3: Figured I just I mean I figured it just kind
- 3:40Speaker 3: of you open it.
- 3:41Speaker 2: It looks like the mesh in a pair of swimmers.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It's just the house.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Honestly, I never saw it. I ordered it, I liked it.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I had no idea what it was, and I thought
- 3:50Speaker 2: it was some sort of joke. I didn't know what
- 3:52Speaker 2: it was. That makes sense.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Did your wife say anything about it? Like, did you
- 3:55Speaker 3: ask her what is this? No?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Because I was kind of embarrassed because I didn't know
- 4:01Speaker 2: if it was like a joke or I don't know.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Now that makes sense, Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Dude, speaking up. I played pickleball over the break with
- 4:11Speaker 3: all of artists.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Tell dude, it's awesome.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I'm so good at it. Now, doesn't everybody say that? Yes,
- 4:17Speaker 3: everyone says that. And I was playing against like ten
- 4:20Speaker 3: year olds. It's like dodgeball.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Everybody thinks are good till they play against somebody a
- 4:23Speaker 2: little better, and all of a sudden you're like, oh,
- 4:24Speaker 2: maybe I'm not that good.
- 4:26Speaker 3: But yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 2: The good thing about pickleball is you can become pretty
- 4:29Speaker 2: good pretty quick. Therefore, it's a game that a lot
- 4:31Speaker 2: of people can play.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Are you good at your backhand? That's the one I
- 4:34Speaker 3: can't I can't really get right now.
- 4:36Speaker 2: You asking me if I'm good at pickleball would be
- 4:38Speaker 2: like me asking you if you're good at golf because
- 4:41Speaker 2: I am. No, you would be like.
- 4:45Speaker 3: No, I mean sometimes you'd be like, I'm okay.
- 4:48Speaker 2: It depends on playing with I'm not good enough to
- 4:50Speaker 2: But it's the same because when I've played elite people,
- 4:53Speaker 2: it's not even close. Now I can crush on some
- 4:56Speaker 2: people that are decent athletes and like I'm pretty good.
- 5:00Speaker 2: But no, you start playing even rector Is he plays
- 5:05Speaker 2: a lot, and he is a deceivingly good athlete because
- 5:12Speaker 2: you see him.
- 5:13Speaker 3: He's long, he's got long limbs.
- 5:14Speaker 2: He also doesn't look like from pictures he would be
- 5:17Speaker 2: that tall. But then when you meet him, he's taller.
- 5:21Speaker 2: But then you're like, okay, he's taller, but he's kind
- 5:23Speaker 2: of tall, like too tall, you know. But he's he's
- 5:27Speaker 2: a hand eye coordination a plus, plays golf awesome. He
- 5:30Speaker 2: started playing pick aball and he was like, let's play,
- 5:32Speaker 2: and I was like, all right. And he's also very competitive,
- 5:36Speaker 2: so we went and played and we got into a
- 5:39Speaker 2: big fight once I told you that, right, Yeah, but.
- 5:41Speaker 3: You got over on the same team, see all. But
- 5:44Speaker 3: you were doing doubles and you blamed each other.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we're both until we got into a huge fight
- 5:49Speaker 2: at the end and then like I think he left
- 5:51Speaker 2: or I left at the end of it, and then
- 5:53Speaker 2: we were working out here at the house the next
- 5:55Speaker 2: day meet you and him and at the end of
- 5:56Speaker 2: the day because I moved on. It's I plan when
- 6:01Speaker 2: I compete, I'm probably gonna get extremely mad at myself
- 6:05Speaker 2: or something because that's just how I play.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Like how quickly do you move on, like from competing, Yeah, oh,
- 6:13Speaker 4: twenty minutes after I went home, okay, from somebody that
- 6:16Speaker 4: I feel like has done me in disservice or has
- 6:19Speaker 4: been unjust never I still hold.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Grudge just from like third grade, I know, but if
- 6:25Speaker 2: it's like competition, because I know how I compete, I'm
- 6:28Speaker 2: super competitive. Like a little bit. I'm still mad at
- 6:31Speaker 2: you for whenever you told Caitlin take it easy on
- 6:34Speaker 2: when we're playing basketball to why because me and you
- 6:36Speaker 2: versus her and a mod.
- 6:37Speaker 3: No, But that's competitive. You should have gotten over that
- 6:39Speaker 3: twenty minutes after we were done.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I know, I'm just saying a little bit. I remember
- 6:41Speaker 2: that though we were on the same team. Yeah, and
- 6:43Speaker 2: I'm not mad about it, but I remember you telling her.
- 6:45Speaker 3: That just he just lay off, just lay.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Off a little bit. I'm tired. Yeah, for see, I'm
- 6:50Speaker 2: not holding it against you. I just remember it. But
- 6:53Speaker 2: Ben and I got into a fight because I was
- 6:57Speaker 2: he was I'd let him play the net and then
- 6:59Speaker 2: I would play back. And a lot of times you
- 7:01Speaker 2: get up and you both play the net at first,
- 7:02Speaker 2: but he was pretty long and quick, and so I'd say, okay,
- 7:05Speaker 2: play the net, I'll play back. Well, whatever, And then
- 7:07Speaker 2: we were getting crushed by Brett Eldridge and another guy
- 7:10Speaker 2: and yeah, no, we're just irritated, and he's like, well,
- 7:13Speaker 2: get out. So getting a big fight, he leaves. I'm
- 7:19Speaker 2: over it. Next day he over at the house we work.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I'm even thinking about it. Meet you and him, Kevin.
- 7:24Speaker 2: We're all working out and he waits behind and usually
- 7:27Speaker 2: you guys all leave and I sit there for like
- 7:29Speaker 2: five minutes and.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Cry after the work yes, and he stops.
- 7:33Speaker 2: He goes, hey, man, we good. I remember thinking, did
- 7:38Speaker 2: you hurt yourself? Like what happened? I said, yeah, He goes, no, yesterday.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I was like, oh yeah, oh, that won't be the
- 7:45Speaker 2: last time that happens.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I told him.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I said, we'll fight either against each other or two teams.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I said, that's I just have a sometimes a two
- 7:52Speaker 2: competitive spirit. But he's really good. And I thought I
- 7:54Speaker 2: was pretty good until I played him. And we've probably
- 7:59Speaker 2: played just ones against each other four or five times.
- 8:02Speaker 2: He's probably three and one against me. Jake's good, although
- 8:05Speaker 2: I pounded Jake last time. Brett and Brett's good. Brett
- 8:09Speaker 2: and I are about equal.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Okay, because he's tall, I figure he's got a lot
- 8:13Speaker 3: of reach.
- 8:13Speaker 2: And Brett's got a court at his house, but it's winter.
- 8:16Speaker 3: But it's kind of hard. If you have a court
- 8:17Speaker 3: and no one to play with, you gotta have like people.
- 8:20Speaker 2: You get a ball machine and it shoots them. Oh
- 8:22Speaker 2: my god, that's what I'm gonna give it.
- 8:23Speaker 3: That'd be amazing.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Build this over here. We're building one.
- 8:25Speaker 3: We're gonna build one with a machine too.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Probably an AI partner to play with. Yell at it,
- 8:31Speaker 2: and they now be mad at me the next day
- 8:32Speaker 2: and then ask everything cool, were good? We are very good.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Thank you for asking.
- 8:37Speaker 2: But pickleball is fun. I think you and Kaitlyn. I
- 8:42Speaker 2: think you'd lose to Kaitlyn. Okay, she's really good.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Well, I'm new.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You said you were good.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I'm better than I thought because I played with you.
- 8:49Speaker 3: What I mean that was six months ago, and I
- 8:52Speaker 3: was terrible. I didn't not hit the ball.
- 8:53Speaker 2: It's not that it's I made you terrible.
- 8:55Speaker 3: What do you mean?
- 8:56Speaker 2: You were playing against somebody that was better at a
- 8:58Speaker 2: ten year old, right, And that's when I'm terrible, when
- 9:00Speaker 2: somebody that's really good like sets me up for crap
- 9:02Speaker 2: and I'm like, I had no chance.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So then me playing a ten year old, like I
- 9:06Speaker 3: felt like I was.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Yeah, welcome to your kingdom.
- 9:12Speaker 3: But it is fun, right, Yeah, I loved it. It's
- 9:14Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll play more in the spring. I'm sure a lot.
- 9:17Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I did not know this pickleball bag. Well, thank you
- 9:19Speaker 2: for the.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Give pickleball bag. You're welcome.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Now it makes sense you should have because it's hanging
- 9:23Speaker 2: up in my closet. Just so I remember to ask Eddy,
- 9:26Speaker 2: wtf is this?
- 9:28Speaker 3: Do you have a pickleball bag? Yeah?
- 9:30Speaker 2: I got a couple, but not like that.
- 9:32Speaker 3: I figured it's cool. It's kind of like it. It's stylish.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It's not like an athletic pickle bag. Like it's not
- 9:38Speaker 3: like one of the pickleball brands or whatever.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That's what I have, and I feel like a douchebag
- 9:42Speaker 2: carrying it because I'm not good enough to have a let's.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Just call it a tennis bag.
- 9:47Speaker 2: That's what it looks like. A cool name like fire Shot.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I show up with a fire Shot bag with a
- 9:53Speaker 2: strap over my shoulder that looks built like a racket
- 9:56Speaker 2: with all this stuff in it, and then I'm terrible. Oh,
- 10:00Speaker 2: yours is just a red bag.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Just looks like a bag, fits the paddles perfectly. But
- 10:05Speaker 3: I didn't think about that, like, man, is he gonna
- 10:07Speaker 3: want like a fire Shot?
- 10:08Speaker 2: No, I have a fire Shot.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Walking in there like Andy Roddy, and I don't even.
- 10:12Speaker 2: Know what the That's how I got the fire Shot front, honestly,
- 10:14Speaker 2: because I had a big deal with pickleball coming us
- 10:18Speaker 2: open and I don't even know it's not even called
- 10:19Speaker 2: fire Shot. But for those who are, don't be googling
- 10:21Speaker 2: fire Shot because that's not it. I just don't know
- 10:23Speaker 2: what the brand is.
- 10:25Speaker 3: But yeah, I had a pickleball with a flame behind it. Yes,
- 10:28Speaker 3: exactly what you're talking about.
- 10:29Speaker 2: There we are, okay, So okay, let's just start because
- 10:33Speaker 2: I have no notes either.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Oh, I'm going on memory me too, but it's been awesome, Like, yes,
- 10:38Speaker 3: football every day.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Let's just start with the Cowboys. Yeah yeah, but there
- 10:44Speaker 2: are two games we've not been able to talk about.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Miami they paid their taxes, look like crap, and then
- 10:50Speaker 3: well that has double taxes because yeah, they didn't look
- 10:54Speaker 3: very good. That was tough, and that was Christmas. Was
- 10:57Speaker 3: that Christmas Eve?
- 10:58Speaker 2: Is something?
- 10:58Speaker 3: Oh did that ruined Mike my my Christmas?
- 11:01Speaker 2: No it didn't. It did, okay.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Until Christmas actually came, and then we forgot that.
- 11:04Speaker 2: It didn't run your Christmas. They'd run leading up to God.
- 11:06Speaker 2: They run the countdown to Christmas, the.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Countdowns, running down the stairs looking for the president.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Oh no, but when you got to the presidents, we're good.
- 11:16Speaker 3: We're good.
- 11:16Speaker 2: So let's move past that one because it stuck because
- 11:18Speaker 2: whatever people already heard about that. I'm just curious before
- 11:22Speaker 2: I give any of my thoughts on the game, your
- 11:24Speaker 2: thoughts on the game. It's Cowboys and Lions.
- 11:26Speaker 3: We got to stop the run. Like if we can't
- 11:28Speaker 3: stop the Lions run, like we're in trouble.
- 11:31Speaker 2: But they do have a pretty god off. It's the
- 11:32Speaker 2: line and two good running backs.
- 11:33Speaker 3: To be fair, they do. But I mean, I just
- 11:35Speaker 3: feel like that's gonna be our Achilles heel, Like, is
- 11:37Speaker 3: that right? Aches heel? Do you know why they call
- 11:39Speaker 3: it that?
- 11:39Speaker 2: No, whenever Achilles the god it was.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 2: So they put him in the river because the river
- 11:47Speaker 2: made him basical, I'm gonna paraphrase, made him invincible. And
- 11:50Speaker 2: so when his mom dipped him in the river, the
- 11:52Speaker 2: only thing she could hold on to not keep them
- 11:53Speaker 2: not getting in the water herself was his achilles, and
- 11:56Speaker 2: it was the only thing that wasn't wet. So she
- 11:58Speaker 2: lifted him and everything about him was vincent. Boy was
- 12:00Speaker 2: a god except for his heel, and that's where they
- 12:02Speaker 2: shot him.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Oh wow, that's cool. I didn't know that. Yeah, anyway,
- 12:05Speaker 3: I'll never forget it, Achilles heel. I just think that
- 12:07Speaker 3: that's it. Uh, And that's that's just kind of hard
- 12:10Speaker 3: to kind of watch them like there, their pass coverage
- 12:13Speaker 3: is good, but all of a sudden that defense can't
- 12:15Speaker 3: stop the run, and that worries me.
- 12:17Speaker 2: You're getting way too granular though, by the things that
- 12:19Speaker 2: nobody cares about. I know, is all we care about
- 12:21Speaker 2: is the last was it rigged? There were two no
- 12:24Speaker 2: two plays at the end.
- 12:25Speaker 3: I mean, I don't think it was rigged.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I what about the tripping call where they called it
- 12:29Speaker 2: on the Lion but it was on the Cowboys.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Sure hender shot? Yeah, I saw that. I mean, I
- 12:34Speaker 3: think the refs definitely screwed up the big call though,
- 12:38Speaker 3: the big two point conversion call to me eligible tackle? Yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 3: And I haven't really kind of I want to hear
- 12:44Speaker 3: from the Cowboys defense like who did they say was eligible?
- 12:47Speaker 3: Like what what? What did the ref say to them?
- 12:49Speaker 3: And then I want to hear from both of those
- 12:52Speaker 3: linemen like Okay, what did you say? What did you
- 12:54Speaker 3: not say?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Well, they can't really and I listened to I listened
- 12:57Speaker 2: to the lineman talk both of them, and the press conference.
- 13:01Speaker 2: You can finish your thing and I'll tell you what
- 13:02Speaker 2: I well.
- 13:03Speaker 3: I just feel like there's so many people to ask
- 13:05Speaker 3: because the ref one alone, like did he hear him?
- 13:08Speaker 3: Did he not hear him? Did he walk away too quick?
- 13:11Speaker 3: Or did he ignore the fact that he was registering
- 13:13Speaker 3: himself as a eligible receiver? I don't know. We don't
- 13:17Speaker 3: know those things. To me, what I saw was seventy
- 13:23Speaker 3: who was running up like it looked like all the
- 13:27Speaker 3: attention was like, hey, seventy is the dude.
- 13:30Speaker 2: And the ref said seventy right, go ahead.
- 13:32Speaker 3: And sixty eight, which was the receiver, which whatever his
- 13:35Speaker 3: name is, was the guy right in front. But ref
- 13:38Speaker 3: wasn't even looking at him, so I don't know. To me,
- 13:41Speaker 3: I think that he was trying to like they were
- 13:42Speaker 3: saying on the broadcast, I think the sixty eight was
- 13:45Speaker 3: trying to be like, hey man, I'm eligible, but don't
- 13:48Speaker 3: don't bring any attention to me, like trying to whisper
- 13:52Speaker 3: it or something. Seventy and sixty eight I've.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Never eligible to say he was whispering. By the way,
- 13:56Speaker 2: I don't think anybody on the broadcast I list say
- 13:58Speaker 2: the same game you did. And I heard Joe Buck
- 14:00Speaker 2: saying nothing. I don't think it was Joe Buck say
- 14:02Speaker 2: nothing about a whisper.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Somebody said that he was not trying to draw attention
- 14:06Speaker 3: to himself registering himself as an eligible receiver.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Did you go down TikTok and watch all the angles
- 14:12Speaker 2: of all the videos of all the people.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Of course, Okay, of course I did. Of course I did. So.
- 14:17Speaker 3: I just feel like the ref didn't hear it.
- 14:20Speaker 2: So this is what not only do I think I'm
- 14:23Speaker 2: fairly certain like I bet on this.
- 14:25Speaker 3: This is what happened.
- 14:26Speaker 2: So part of that play, part of the confusion of
- 14:30Speaker 2: that play, which is supposed to be confusing to the team,
- 14:33Speaker 2: is the two tackles. Because unless you're familiar, and I'm
- 14:37Speaker 2: gonna assume everybody is, but in case you're not, the
- 14:41Speaker 2: last person on the line of scrimmage is eligible to
- 14:44Speaker 2: catch the ball. If you're a ligneman who is a
- 14:47Speaker 2: seventy or sixty number and you haven't, you have to
- 14:51Speaker 2: check in yes.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Now, I'll tell the ref.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Now, a wide receiver can still be outside of you,
- 14:55Speaker 2: but he has to be off the line correct, basically
- 14:57Speaker 2: like a slot spot, just just wide.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Receiver just a little bit behind the line.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah. So seventy was never eligible because he was covered up,
- 15:07Speaker 2: which means there was a wide receiver covering him up
- 15:10Speaker 2: on the line. What they try to do on that play, reive,
- 15:13Speaker 2: what do you mean on the side on but seventy
- 15:19Speaker 2: the right side of the office line to tackle? He
- 15:21Speaker 2: was there, but there was also a wide receiver over
- 15:23Speaker 2: there covering him up on the line. So the only
- 15:25Speaker 2: person eligible over there was the wide receiver.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Got it.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So it doesn't even matter if the dude says seventy
- 15:29Speaker 2: is eligible or not. What the purpose of that play
- 15:34Speaker 2: is not just to get sixty eight eligible and open
- 15:38Speaker 2: and big Man touchdown. It's to confuse the Cowboys whenever
- 15:42Speaker 2: two guys go up to the referee, So they had
- 15:45Speaker 2: seventy and sixty eight go up. Only sixty eight is
- 15:47Speaker 2: the one that checked in, but seventy was standing there.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Now the referee only heard one of them go hey,
- 15:53Speaker 2: I'm eligible. Seventy didn't say it. Seventy never checked in,
- 15:58Speaker 2: sixty eight did. But there were two dudes and there's
- 16:01Speaker 2: a crowd, and the ref messed up and said the
- 16:03Speaker 2: wrong one. He said seventy is eligible.
- 16:06Speaker 3: So and his job after that, though, is to tell
- 16:09Speaker 3: the defense seventy is an eligible receiver, so he need
- 16:12Speaker 3: to cover.
- 16:12Speaker 2: He did, but he screwed up which she wasn't.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Which the Cowboys covered seventy but left sixty eight wide
- 16:17Speaker 3: open because he was an eligible But.
- 16:19Speaker 2: The Cowboys didn't even need to cover up seventy because
- 16:21Speaker 2: he was already covered up by the wide receiver. It
- 16:24Speaker 2: was the referee's fault. I also don't think there was
- 16:27Speaker 2: a fix in right. That play is meant to confuse
- 16:31Speaker 2: the Cowboys by two linemen going up. However, it confused
- 16:36Speaker 2: the ref and that can't happen.
- 16:38Speaker 3: No, it can't, like the refs, And it looked like
- 16:41Speaker 3: the ref just ran off like got it, I got it? Good, good.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It's like that. It's like that server that doesn't write
- 16:46Speaker 3: down your order, like got it, I got it, And
- 16:51Speaker 3: it looked like sixty eight was like what one are
- 16:52Speaker 3: you stret I said, no, mustachio, Why did they put
- 16:55Speaker 3: him in there? Okay, here we go.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I told you didn't write it down. That's a great
- 17:00Speaker 2: it's a great analogy because that's what happened. Yeah, I
- 17:02Speaker 2: don't think there. It was very cowboys got very very
- 17:05Speaker 2: fortunate twice. That tripping and that play. I also don't
- 17:10Speaker 2: think it was rick. The tripping was a little suspect
- 17:12Speaker 2: because that's not even like a met that's just right
- 17:15Speaker 2: tripping call on the wrong team.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Bizarre on the wrong.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Team if somebody doesn't trip and you call it, or
- 17:22Speaker 2: somebody does trip and you don't call it, Okay, but
- 17:25Speaker 2: on the wrong team.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But I think ref's man in the in the moment
- 17:29Speaker 3: call things and they're just like even if you know,
- 17:31Speaker 3: it's like it's like even if you know you're wrong.
- 17:33Speaker 3: You're just like I just let it go, just let
- 17:34Speaker 3: it go, and then we'll well, I don't.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Make it up later, make it up later. And some
- 17:38Speaker 2: of those are non reviewable, like right, like that tripping
- 17:40Speaker 2: like that one.
- 17:41Speaker 3: And and but the Lions had four shots. The Lions
- 17:45Speaker 3: had four shots.
- 17:47Speaker 2: The first shot they had they made sure, so it's fine.
- 17:51Speaker 2: But that second shot was from seven yards back too,
- 17:54Speaker 2: so it's not like it was an even second shot.
- 17:56Speaker 3: What what do you think about going for the two?
- 17:59Speaker 3: Like I understand that his thing, Dan Campbell, he'sn a
- 18:02Speaker 3: g y let's go, We'll go for the win. But bro, like,
- 18:05Speaker 3: let's just tie it up. You see the cow you
- 18:07Speaker 3: saw the Cowboys weren't scoring a lot. They weren't really
- 18:10Speaker 3: the offense wasn't clicking the way it normally does. Let's
- 18:12Speaker 3: just tie it up and win it overtime.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It's hindsight. Always easy to say stuff in hindsight, especially
- 18:17Speaker 2: for me. I love hindsight.
- 18:18Speaker 3: But I did think about that when he when they
- 18:20Speaker 3: went for the first two, and like, that's bizarre.
- 18:22Speaker 2: The first one I totally was down with because if
- 18:24Speaker 2: I'm on the road. And also that game really didn't
- 18:27Speaker 2: matter that much because they had already won the division
- 18:28Speaker 2: for the first time in seven hundred years since Columbus landed.
- 18:31Speaker 2: It was the first time that Yeah, so they were
- 18:34Speaker 2: a bit playing with house money, as they say. Yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 2: and Dan Campbell, he's I love consistency, even if you're inconsistent,
- 18:41Speaker 2: as long as you're consistently inconsistent. Like I like that.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I like consistency. That's what he does. So he was
- 18:46Speaker 2: staying true to who he is.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I like that.
- 18:48Speaker 2: When they were back at the seven, I thought he
- 18:50Speaker 2: would kick it because I think the percentage probably goes
- 18:53Speaker 2: way down more so than who you are. I think
- 18:54Speaker 2: it's it's it's tough fourth and seven a first in
- 18:58Speaker 2: or it's basically fourth and seven.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Then sure, one down.
- 19:02Speaker 2: So I probably would have kicked it there. But then
- 19:05Speaker 2: the third time I probablyud have gone for it again
- 19:07Speaker 2: because I think more times than not. And analytics will
- 19:10Speaker 2: tell us in about five years once there is a
- 19:12Speaker 2: sample size, because we're getting close to a sample size.
- 19:15Speaker 2: But the first couple of years of the two point conversion,
- 19:18Speaker 2: first three four years, nobody really did it that much
- 19:20Speaker 2: because everybody was scared of it. It's just now starting
- 19:22Speaker 2: to be that time where people are not only going
- 19:24Speaker 2: for them a little bit more. The big sample sizes
- 19:26Speaker 2: we're getting are the fourth and ones, fourth and two
- 19:28Speaker 2: is fourth and threees on different parts of the field.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Like those are exciting because people go for it. Yeah,
- 19:32Speaker 2: which is cool. I've always done it in Madden, and
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm pretty good at Madden.
- 19:34Speaker 3: So if I tell you, well, fourth and seven even
- 19:37Speaker 3: then you're like, oh, they're definitely gonna try to draw
- 19:38Speaker 3: them off sides, and then they go for it, You're like, okay, wow.
- 19:41Speaker 2: So I'm glad he went. I think that he also
- 19:45Speaker 2: since it didn't matter really that they lost so much,
- 19:49Speaker 2: it also shows this team that he believes in them regardless,
- 19:52Speaker 2: which has been kind of his brand, like you're my guys,
- 19:55Speaker 2: I believe in you. You know, he played for the
- 19:57Speaker 2: Lions that when they went oh in eighteen oh and seven,
- 20:00Speaker 2: sixteen sixteen, he played for the Lions and went on
- 20:03Speaker 2: sixteen like he was on that team. Yeah, So I
- 20:07Speaker 2: like Dan Campbell. I don't think he's the coach of
- 20:08Speaker 2: the Year anymore. But that was a weird game. And
- 20:13Speaker 2: I bet the Cowboys minus one and a half and
- 20:21Speaker 2: they won by.
- 20:21Speaker 3: You bet them one and a half because was that live?
- 20:24Speaker 3: Was that a live bet? Yeah? Okay, yeah, because I
- 20:26Speaker 3: think I think.
- 20:27Speaker 2: They won by one, and I was pissed. I bet
- 20:28Speaker 2: like three hundred bucks.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Oh damn, sorry dude, I know. Sorry.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I still I have a future. I have two future
- 20:34Speaker 2: on the Cowboys, though.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Yeah, how do you what do you think about the
- 20:36Speaker 3: MVP one.
- 20:37Speaker 2: It's there's no chance and the zero chance no chance,
- 20:39Speaker 2: that's just great. It's all Lamar. So that's a thousand
- 20:41Speaker 2: bucks out wasted.
- 20:42Speaker 3: It's Lamar.
- 20:43Speaker 2: It's all Lamar.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's going he's going off right now.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It's all Lamar. I think if I were to look
- 20:48Speaker 2: at the odds now, he's probably and I haven't looked
- 20:51Speaker 2: because I don't want to be sad, but he's probably
- 20:54Speaker 2: plus I mean sorry, minus eight thousand what, I don't know.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I made that up.
- 21:05Speaker 3: That's like for sure, for sure, I made it up.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I did make it up. But let me look.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Minus eight thousand was the Washington money line last night.
- 21:15Speaker 3: White late late in the game.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Uh huh, okay, stand by Okay. So if I go
- 21:19Speaker 2: over to DraftKings NFL Futures, MVP super Bowl forty nine,
- 21:32Speaker 2: AS is still the favorite.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Well, No, that's that's crazy to me, Like, look, how
- 21:35Speaker 3: how far everyone else is after the Ravens. Yeah, I
- 21:38Speaker 3: mean you're you must have seen this. I saw it.
- 21:41Speaker 3: It was crazy. But how they got pushed to plus
- 21:44Speaker 3: eight fifty? How do you know that? Dude? I washed it.
- 21:47Speaker 2: He's freaking weirdo. Definitely definitely walmartfe like Cowboys eight fifty
- 21:51Speaker 2: Walmart yesterday.
- 21:52Speaker 3: I'm like, that's crazy. The odds think that one percent
- 21:55Speaker 3: of the Super Bowl is going to be the forty
- 21:57Speaker 3: nine Ers and the Ravens.
- 21:58Speaker 2: So forty plus two twenty he's still the favorite. Ravens
- 22:01Speaker 2: of plus three hundred. Now, third is the Bills a
- 22:03Speaker 2: plus eight hundred.
- 22:04Speaker 3: That's bizarre.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Do you know if the Bills lose this next week?
- 22:06Speaker 3: They don't even they're done. They're done. Zough get in.
- 22:09Speaker 3: But that's how much they believe in the Bills.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Cowboys a plus eight fifty. If I were me, which
- 22:14Speaker 2: I have, I would be loading up, not loading up,
- 22:17Speaker 2: I'd be middle loading on the Chiefs at plus nine
- 22:20Speaker 2: to fifty.
- 22:20Speaker 3: You believe in the Chiefs.
- 22:21Speaker 2: It's not that I believe in them. I believe in
- 22:22Speaker 2: them way more than plus nine to fifty because they've
- 22:25Speaker 2: done it before, they've been there. Patrick Mahomes has done
- 22:27Speaker 2: it multiple times like that, even the Eagles, who have
- 22:31Speaker 2: looked terrible. Yeah, I agree, they're at plus eleven hundred.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It's a bizarre, dude, Like, it's not that I think
- 22:36Speaker 2: after two losses they go down to eleven hundred. It's
- 22:39Speaker 2: not even that I think for sure they're gonna win
- 22:40Speaker 2: the Super Bowl. And for those again who are new
- 22:43Speaker 2: to understanding betting odds, and there was a time when
- 22:46Speaker 2: we were two, So we're not acting like you're dumb.
- 22:48Speaker 2: You just maybe like us, and we were behind and
- 22:50Speaker 2: knowing how this stuff.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Works for a long time. We still don't know what
- 22:52Speaker 3: we're done.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Okay, I agree with that. But plus eleven hundred means
- 22:56Speaker 2: if you bet one hundred dollars, you're gonna make eleven
- 22:59Speaker 2: hundred dollars.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Means that they think that they have not a good chance.
- 23:03Speaker 2: To win a one and eleven chance. And then the
- 23:05Speaker 2: sixth team, Yeah, that's tough. So I put a little
- 23:11Speaker 2: something on the Chiefs and the Eagles because I feel
- 23:14Speaker 2: like those are the two teams that with bad enough
- 23:15Speaker 2: odds it could actually do it.
- 23:17Speaker 3: And you're saying that because you already have the Cowboys
- 23:19Speaker 3: future I both what about what about your Saints? No,
- 23:23Speaker 3: that's our Saints, Our Saints, the whole show.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I can read you on my field. I
- 23:26Speaker 2: want to look at MVP real quick.
- 23:28Speaker 3: Sorry, what got sidetracked?
- 23:30Speaker 2: Okay, and then i'll future awards. Okay, MVP, Oh my god, yeah,
- 23:39Speaker 2: it's more than it's worse than I thought it was.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, worse than minus eight thousand.
- 23:45Speaker 2: And to be fair, I did say nine thousand.
- 23:47Speaker 3: I think I think you said eight. You said eight?
- 23:48Speaker 3: Did you said eight? Okay, what's it? Ten?
- 23:51Speaker 2: Twenty thousand?
- 23:52Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, that's crazy.
- 23:54Speaker 2: It's at minus sucking rock Percy. It's at minus twenty thousand.
- 23:57Speaker 2: If I were to put one hundred bucks, listen to this.
- 24:00Speaker 2: If I were to put a hundred bucks on Lamar
- 24:02Speaker 2: too win the MVP right.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Now, that's going to give you what five bucks.
- 24:05Speaker 2: One hundred dollars and fifty cents.
- 24:10Speaker 3: That's crazy, dude, you can get fifty cents.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Dak's a plus eighteen hundred.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Wow.
- 24:16Speaker 2: If I put a thousand bucks on Dak right.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Now, I think Dak's still playing great.
- 24:19Speaker 2: I'd win nineteen thousand dollars.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Dak is still playing great, and obviously Lamar is going.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Off party or three Josh Allens, the four Christian mcaffreys
- 24:26Speaker 2: and five Christian mcaffreys. I'm going to play next week. Yeah,
- 24:29Speaker 2: so that won't happen plus four thousand, Tyreek plus seventy
- 24:32Speaker 2: five hundred and he he got banged.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Up a little bit, huh, he did, He was out
- 24:37Speaker 3: for He came back though, right and then he played.
- 24:40Speaker 2: So Okay, how's the tax situation with the Cowboys? Right now?
- 24:43Speaker 2: You got one game left.
- 24:44Speaker 3: You've been playing Washington next week Washington. But this is
- 24:47Speaker 3: a big game for the Cowboys because if they beat Washington,
- 24:50Speaker 3: we win the division, which is just as it stands.
- 24:54Speaker 3: That's even if if Philly wins. If we lose the
- 24:57Speaker 3: Washington and Philly wins, we lose the division. And here
- 25:00Speaker 3: we are, we're in the same situation where we're probably
- 25:02Speaker 3: gonna play the Lions again. Possible. No, sure, I saw
- 25:06Speaker 3: a scenario generator.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I've seen a scenario for every situation possible. Listen, because
- 25:15Speaker 2: if you're the five, well that if they win the division,
- 25:18Speaker 2: if they finished second, if you're the five, you end
- 25:20Speaker 2: up playing the four, which is gonna be the winner
- 25:22Speaker 2: of the division with the Saints the Bucks. Well, one
- 25:26Speaker 2: of those two probably gonna be the Bucks, but you
- 25:28Speaker 2: have to go on.
- 25:28Speaker 3: The road going to be the Bucks. Regardless, we'd be
- 25:30Speaker 3: on the road.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Yes, however, would you yeah, please look that up.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I don't know you can look it up.
- 25:35Speaker 2: But obviously, what would you rather? Would you rather pee
- 25:37Speaker 2: out of your nose or poop out of your eye?
- 25:40Speaker 3: What do you got?
- 25:41Speaker 2: Would you rather go on the road and play Tampa
- 25:45Speaker 2: with the horrible road record horrible performances on the road
- 25:49Speaker 2: as the Cowboys, or would you rather be at home
- 25:54Speaker 2: and play somebody better than that, like the Ram.
- 25:56Speaker 3: No, I'd rather go on the road. I mean I don't.
- 25:58Speaker 3: I don't believe they could play the Rams?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, what what does your what's your situation?
- 26:04Speaker 3: Say? Well, I'm the situation I'm looking at is with
- 26:08Speaker 3: the win. But with the win you're looking at three
- 26:10Speaker 3: different options with depending on who wins and who loses
- 26:14Speaker 3: on the other sides. Like, it's just a lot, Honestly,
- 26:16Speaker 3: it's a lot to break down because.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Do my thing though, what you would rather do go
- 26:19Speaker 2: on the road and play a worse team or stay
- 26:22Speaker 2: home and play a better team.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I don't believe on the whole road situation they sucked on.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I understand that. I understand that, but I don't believe
- 26:30Speaker 3: in that. Like there's the what what is at home?
- 26:33Speaker 2: To make the to you the road as COVID not real.
- 26:38Speaker 3: I just feel like it's playoffs time. Give me the road,
- 26:40Speaker 3: give me a home. They're gonna they're gonna play their
- 26:42Speaker 3: butts off and they're gonna win the game. And I'd
- 26:44Speaker 3: rather play a worse team, whether on the road or
- 26:47Speaker 3: at home. I'd give me the Bucks at in Tampa.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Okay, So here we go, if the if I have
- 26:53Speaker 2: it right here, if the Cowboys end up winning this
- 26:58Speaker 2: week against Washington, they will be the two seed. They
- 27:04Speaker 2: will have to play Week one, but as the two seed,
- 27:07Speaker 2: they will get to play. It looks like the Packers. Now,
- 27:09Speaker 2: the Packers still have to do a little.
- 27:11Speaker 3: They have to beat the Bears and the Rams have
- 27:13Speaker 3: to beat the Niners to play the Packers.
- 27:14Speaker 2: But I'm saying all percentages in right now, Yes, that's
- 27:19Speaker 2: the best we got right now.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Yeah, which I'll take it.
- 27:22Speaker 2: So Cowboys with the Packers, with the Packers come in
- 27:25Speaker 2: to Dallas, yes, and they've been playing really well.
- 27:28Speaker 3: The Packers have been playing well. Yeah, sure, or that
- 27:31Speaker 3: run game again, man.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Or the Bucks in Tampa.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I'd rather play the Bucks in Tampa.
- 27:42Speaker 2: It's a little closer to Orange to the Packers and
- 27:44Speaker 2: not the Rams. But I yeah, I hear you.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I'd rather play the Bucks in Tampa. I just think
- 27:48Speaker 3: I think the Packers are sneaky good. I think Jordan
- 27:51Speaker 3: Love is going to be tough because he's got legs.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Baker doesn't have legs. Baker's awesome. He's awesome, he makes
- 27:57Speaker 3: amazing throws under pressure, but he's he don't have legs.
- 28:00Speaker 3: To me, I think the defense can handle that. He
- 28:02Speaker 3: doesn't have the legs. Like, dude, Yes, give me the
- 28:11Speaker 3: Bucks any day. Okay.
- 28:12Speaker 2: If they were to play the Saints, because the Saints
- 28:14Speaker 2: could still win that division.
- 28:16Speaker 3: God damn that'd be a dream scenario, but.
- 28:19Speaker 2: They have to go to New Orleans. I'd still rather
- 28:21Speaker 2: go to New Orleans.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Dude. Yes, what what is your your theory on the
- 28:25Speaker 3: home thing? Though? Like? Why why are they were they undeft?
- 28:29Speaker 3: I think they were undefeed at home?
- 28:30Speaker 2: I think some what do you mean they won every game?
- 28:33Speaker 2: I've anybody that I've talked to, and it's different in
- 28:36Speaker 2: all sports. Maybe I've talked to just played or plays
- 28:38Speaker 2: professional football. Weather it is a factor at times. Now
- 28:44Speaker 2: you have to think that the Cowboys, they basically plays
- 28:46Speaker 2: play indoors in a dome like nothing opens, but they
- 28:50Speaker 2: never opened, right, So I just don't want to get
- 28:52Speaker 2: hated up for sand dome. It's not we got it.
- 28:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Yeah, So that's definitely a factor. If you're always comfortable
- 28:59Speaker 2: and then you have to go somewhere and you're not comfortable.
- 29:01Speaker 2: It's why Miami goes and loses a lot. When you're
- 29:03Speaker 2: living comfortably, when you're practicing comfortably all the time, and
- 29:06Speaker 2: you're playing comfortably when you're not, it does affect a bit.
- 29:11Speaker 2: Even if you were born in Minnesota and you move
- 29:14Speaker 2: to Florida and you have a job as a banker,
- 29:17Speaker 2: but then you go back to Minnesota during Christmas, you're like, god,
- 29:19Speaker 2: I guess so cold, Like no, you're from here.
- 29:21Speaker 3: That's true, Like look at us, Yeah, you're like you're
- 29:23Speaker 3: from here.
- 29:24Speaker 2: Like no. But still when you get down your blood,
- 29:25Speaker 2: you think, I think that could be a factor. You're
- 29:28Speaker 2: also not sleeping in your own bed.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not a ten minute drive to the stadium.
- 29:31Speaker 2: And then I think also the depending on the fan base,
- 29:37Speaker 2: because some teams, if you go to LA you know
- 29:40Speaker 2: you can have more probably your team there than their's.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Oh yeah, some you go to Pittsburgh, you know it's
- 29:45Speaker 2: about to be terrible, tow City, you're Philly, and it's
- 29:47Speaker 2: gonna be harder to actually play the game. So I
- 29:50Speaker 2: do think there is something to it. I would say
- 29:53Speaker 2: twenty two percent change. Nothing crazy, because if you're really good,
- 29:57Speaker 2: you're just a better team. But I don't know what.
- 30:01Speaker 2: I don't know what's up the Cowboys, like I don't.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I don't know, but I do think there is a
- 30:06Speaker 2: bit of a difference. The end of the betting lines
- 30:08Speaker 2: in the NFL have have not changed as drastically as
- 30:11Speaker 2: they have in the past. Used to be three, it'd
- 30:14Speaker 2: just be three points sure, regardless in college it still
- 30:17Speaker 2: is pretty much that. In the NFL, it's like one
- 30:19Speaker 2: one and a half now, So that to me is interesting.
- 30:25Speaker 2: And some players like Peyton Manning were he was not
- 30:31Speaker 2: good playing outdoor cold games. You have to think about
- 30:34Speaker 2: when you'd have to go and think about whenever he
- 30:37Speaker 2: would play, Uh, well, he's living there at that time.
- 30:41Speaker 2: So again his bloods getting along.
- 30:42Speaker 3: What's not long that.
- 30:45Speaker 2: When he was with the Colts it was tough for
- 30:47Speaker 2: him to go and that he'd lose in New England.
- 30:49Speaker 2: That's why Brady won all the freaking Super Bowls. Who
- 30:52Speaker 2: Drew Brees another Dome quarterback that struggled. Luckily, their super
- 30:56Speaker 2: Bowl was in Miami when he won that one. So
- 31:00Speaker 2: I'm basically just saying a lot of words. But I
- 31:03Speaker 2: think that's if you're always comfortable in one situation and
- 31:07Speaker 2: you're put into another, even if it doesn't feel like
- 31:09Speaker 2: it's that big of a difference. If it's fans, if
- 31:11Speaker 2: it's temperature, I think that is a factor, not a lot,
- 31:15Speaker 2: but enough to matter if it gets down to the
- 31:17Speaker 2: point where something that small could actually tip the scale.
- 31:22Speaker 2: The Cowboys can they win the Super Bowl?
- 31:24Speaker 3: I still think anybody can win the Super Bowl. Yes,
- 31:26Speaker 3: the Cowboys can win the Super Bowl. Right now, I
- 31:28Speaker 3: don't see I don't see the raven I've seen the
- 31:31Speaker 3: Ravens crack five or six times this season, just break.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but you've seen the Cowboys like be worse than break.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Yeah, they've been pretty bad.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but you've seen the Ravens beat the forty nine ers.
- 31:41Speaker 2: What the Cowboys do?
- 31:42Speaker 3: I've seen I've seen the forty nine ers crack.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Hold on though. You saw the I'm just asking you
- 31:47Speaker 2: one to one. You saw the Ravens, I believe, go
- 31:49Speaker 2: into San Francisco.
- 31:50Speaker 3: And just dominated, terrible, dominate.
- 31:54Speaker 2: So you see you saw the Cowboys play San Francisco
- 31:56Speaker 2: and just fall apart. Yeah that effect anything?
- 31:59Speaker 3: Yeah, But I mean you learn from those things. You
- 32:02Speaker 3: learn from those games. You learn how to shift things
- 32:05Speaker 3: and change plays and and change. But what about different
- 32:08Speaker 3: ways to defend the Rams?
- 32:09Speaker 2: We're losing? They didn't arn anything from those.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Amen, Like, what do you want from me?
- 32:13Speaker 2: You just love the Cowboys. They just need you to
- 32:15Speaker 2: say you love the Cowboys more than you can.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Do you really think that right now there are only
- 32:19Speaker 3: two teams that can win the Super Bowl?
- 32:21Speaker 2: No, I think.
- 32:22Speaker 3: They're like you still think that the Chiefs look like crap, dude.
- 32:26Speaker 2: But the Chiefs have a history of so what so
- 32:30Speaker 2: what it's the same people have done it before. Who
- 32:32Speaker 2: Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelson.
- 32:36Speaker 3: That's it, those three dudes. That's it. But check go
- 32:39Speaker 3: in and know what he's doing.
- 32:40Speaker 2: You know, one at for him last year.
- 32:41Speaker 3: That's right, I forgot about him. Okay, I forgot about him. Yeah,
- 32:45Speaker 3: good point, Good for it.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Twenty five Bosts presented by Draft Kings sports Book, an
- 32:49Speaker 2: official sports betting partner of the NFL. Download the DraftKings
- 32:52Speaker 2: app and used to code Bobby Sports to get in
- 32:55Speaker 2: on the action. You know, the whole deal is with
- 32:57Speaker 2: a parlay, it's you need to make well, let's just
- 33:00Speaker 2: say three, it can be nine. Eddie likes to do
- 33:02Speaker 2: the sixteen game parlays for a dollar. But a parlay
- 33:04Speaker 2: you make multiple bets and if they all win, you win.
- 33:07Speaker 2: If one of them loses, you lose, but you get
- 33:08Speaker 2: better odds. If you do that right, it's super fun.
- 33:11Speaker 2: So go to DraftKings sports Book, go to the app.
- 33:13Speaker 2: New users use the code Bobby Sports when you download
- 33:16Speaker 2: the app twenty one and up in most eligible states,
- 33:18Speaker 2: but age varies by jurisdiction, eligibility and de positive restrictions.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Supply a gambling problem called one hundred gambler in New
- 33:23Speaker 2: York call eight seven seven eight Hope and wire text
- 33:25Speaker 2: Hope and White at four six seven three six nine. Okay,
- 33:32Speaker 2: then here are the four teams I think can win
- 33:34Speaker 2: the Super Bowl. I think, well, you go to the Niners,
- 33:39Speaker 2: forty nine ers, I'm gonna put them inn order.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Okay, the forty nine ers, Wow, you're gonna put them
- 33:45Speaker 3: over the Ravens, the Chiefs, Yeah. The Eagles, Wow, over
- 33:49Speaker 3: the Ravens. Still haven't been named in the Ravens. The
- 33:51Speaker 3: Eagles over the Cowboys.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah, but close. And I would put the Cowboys in
- 33:56Speaker 2: that next line of Hey, if they did it, I
- 34:00Speaker 2: know I didn't say they could, but I'm not surprised
- 34:02Speaker 2: because they were. They were good and Dak went on
- 34:03Speaker 2: quite the run. H Ceedee lamb is all they have offensively?
- 34:08Speaker 3: How about those hands, but man he is well it's
- 34:10Speaker 3: not his hands, how about those hands, his legs, his legs.
- 34:12Speaker 3: He's so fast.
- 34:15Speaker 2: He had a two hundred yards.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Or seven amazing, amazing but see look at you gotta
- 34:18Speaker 3: give Dak credit for that, Like, dude, he was about
- 34:20Speaker 3: to get sacked in the end zone.
- 34:22Speaker 2: And and oh yeah, I know it's a great play.
- 34:24Speaker 3: And see ceedee Lamb went. I think he's over under
- 34:26Speaker 3: that day for that game was one twenty five.
- 34:29Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 34:30Speaker 3: I think he hit that in the first like five
- 34:32Speaker 3: minutes of the game.
- 34:32Speaker 2: It was awesome. I except I was playing seed Lam
- 34:35Speaker 2: in the Fanas Football Championship and he put up forty
- 34:36Speaker 2: that night.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Did you win? You won the whole Congrats man, thank you.
- 34:40Speaker 2: You deserve that because I had Lamar. I had Lamar
- 34:43Speaker 2: Jackson from Baltimore.
- 34:44Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 34:45Speaker 2: I was gonna read, So, wait, who are the teams?
- 34:48Speaker 2: You think? I win the Super Bowl? And I'm reaching
- 34:49Speaker 2: my futures and then we're gonna play commercial and then
- 34:51Speaker 2: we're gonna finish up with some other stuff.
- 34:52Speaker 3: Okay, I think that the Ravens can win the Super Bowl.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I think that the Niners can win the Super Bowl.
- 34:57Speaker 3: I think that the Cowboys can win the Super Bowl.
- 35:00Speaker 2: You probably want to start with that one.
- 35:01Speaker 3: He just didn't.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Nope, Nope, because the Cowboys at right now.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I know, but but I gotta be on it. I
- 35:06Speaker 3: gotta be like realistic, realistic here. If they were to
- 35:09Speaker 3: play today, the Niners look like the huge favorite, and
- 35:12Speaker 3: then I would put the Ravens and then I would
- 35:15Speaker 3: put the Cowboys.
- 35:15Speaker 2: You already put the Cowboys in there.
- 35:17Speaker 3: When I'm just doing rehashing my top, I'm start at
- 35:19Speaker 3: one again. I'm redoing it. I'm doing Niners at one,
- 35:22Speaker 3: Ravens at two, Cowboys at three, and then give me
- 35:26Speaker 3: at four. How do you not put the Chiefs in
- 35:27Speaker 3: there because they're terrible? Yeah? Okay, And Mahomes is pissing
- 35:31Speaker 3: everyone off his little baby tantrums going on at the
- 35:35Speaker 3: end of the end of the game. Is pissing the
- 35:37Speaker 3: whole team off them, like, stop stop being a baby,
- 35:39Speaker 3: be a leader, stop making excuses. Go win.
- 35:43Speaker 2: He's made so less, so few and so less excuses
- 35:46Speaker 2: than I whatever you would have. His receivers have dropped
- 35:50Speaker 2: Pauls and cost him games. And he gets on the
- 35:52Speaker 2: podium and goes, I've got to do better the podium.
- 35:54Speaker 3: But what's he saying in the locker?
- 35:55Speaker 2: Who cares?
- 35:56Speaker 3: That's what's saying on the sideline.
- 35:57Speaker 2: We don't know, but we can see it.
- 35:59Speaker 3: We see, you can see him like a child.
- 36:01Speaker 2: I told Ben Rector, hey man, you cover the net
- 36:05Speaker 2: about Yes, that was me. That's child.
- 36:08Speaker 3: And what did he say the next day? Hey man?
- 36:10Speaker 3: Are we cool? The whole team? You think he's gonna
- 36:12Speaker 3: go to the whole team and check, hey man, are
- 36:13Speaker 3: we cool?
- 36:14Speaker 2: No team like the Hull Super Bowl champion multi m
- 36:19Speaker 2: VP anyway, you're not picking the Chiefs.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Fine, fair not picking the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.
- 36:23Speaker 2: No, win it. You don't think they can win it.
- 36:25Speaker 3: They cannot win it, not this year. So those those
- 36:28Speaker 3: are my four. I put the Eagles in there.
- 36:30Speaker 2: They've been playing terrible, I know, but.
- 36:32Speaker 3: I still think they can do it. Syria, I believe.
- 36:34Speaker 3: I believe in Sirianni.
- 36:35Speaker 2: You believe in Sirianni more than Andy Reid.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Yeah, who's who actually beatri Serrianni has tools? By the way,
- 36:42Speaker 3: is DeVante Smith out.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Like a mild ankle sprain of what I read? So
- 36:47Speaker 2: he'll be okay, that's what I read. As long as
- 36:49Speaker 2: it's mild, south Side, we have no notes in front
- 36:52Speaker 2: of us, So I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure it's
- 36:56Speaker 2: a mild.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Because if it was a medium, we'd be in trouble.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they're thinking of urest of their players anyway. Sure,
- 37:01Speaker 2: why not because they're like, we don't win the division
- 37:04Speaker 2: or not if we don't have people healthy, we can't.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Because they could win and still not win the division.
- 37:10Speaker 3: But they need the Cowboys to win to uh to
- 37:13Speaker 3: beat the Commanders. They still need that the Commanders, not
- 37:19Speaker 3: the Philly because they're tired they're tired right now. But
- 37:22Speaker 3: with with Dallas having the.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Tiebreaker, yes, oh, but the commanders don't matter.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Right, So if Philly wins and Dallas loses, Philly takes
- 37:28Speaker 3: that to do. Yeah.
- 37:29Speaker 2: My point is Philly's in regardless in the playoffs. Yeah,
- 37:32Speaker 2: And I think what they're saying, and what they're thinking
- 37:34Speaker 2: to themselves is if we hurt our players even by
- 37:38Speaker 2: winning the division, we're going to be terrible because we
- 37:40Speaker 2: have to play next week. And it goes back to
- 37:42Speaker 2: the scenario. Maybe Sirianna's thinking, would we'd rather go and
- 37:44Speaker 2: play Tampa and Tampa or have Green Bay come to us?
- 37:49Speaker 2: And that's so close anyway, I'm sure the owner's not
- 37:52Speaker 2: thinking that because the owner wants the money. Sure, But
- 37:54Speaker 2: same time, the owner probably want everybody to be healthy
- 37:56Speaker 2: so they can try to win a Super Bowl.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, it's it's like watch some of these bowl
- 38:00Speaker 3: games and you know, like, did you watch ball games,
- 38:03Speaker 3: by the way, Yeah, some of them, Like they got
- 38:06Speaker 3: to stop with the Bowl games.
- 38:07Speaker 2: I mean, I did a whole podcast about this the
- 38:08Speaker 2: other day. Okay, I can, I can go ahead. I
- 38:10Speaker 2: want you to say what you're gonna say in a minute,
- 38:12Speaker 2: but yes, well, I.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Just feel like it's such a money grab for for college.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Like it's great, it's a money grab. It's all about
- 38:18Speaker 3: sponsorships and all that. But it's hard for us. It's
- 38:21Speaker 3: hard to bet it. Like I don't know who's playing
- 38:24Speaker 3: now we're at the roote. I never know who's playing.
- 38:26Speaker 3: I never know who's not gonna play many games.
- 38:28Speaker 2: It's so hard to watch it preseason football.
- 38:31Speaker 3: To me, Yes, that's what it feels like. It's hard
- 38:34Speaker 3: to bet it. It's hard to watch it. Yeah, and
- 38:36Speaker 3: I think, like you see all these starters that aren't
- 38:38Speaker 3: dressed for the game and they're just staying on the sideline,
- 38:41Speaker 3: just having fun, having a blast. They don't even want
- 38:43Speaker 3: to be there. Nobody wants to be there.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Yeah, the ball things, it'll fix itself though.
- 38:48Speaker 3: My whole.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Theory slash. What I'm looking for to what I enjoy
- 38:53Speaker 2: are the ball games and NIL and the portal because
- 38:57Speaker 2: it has got to get so bad before it gets better,
- 38:59Speaker 2: because if it just stays in medium bad, it's never
- 39:01Speaker 2: going to change. It's like anything else. You really need
- 39:03Speaker 2: it to be just so ft up that they're like,
- 39:05Speaker 2: we've got to change it, because if it's not. Nothing's
- 39:08Speaker 2: going to change it where we're going to stay in
- 39:09Speaker 2: this perpetual loop of the bowl game suck. It had
- 39:13Speaker 2: been like the Pro Bowl. You ever tried about the
- 39:15Speaker 2: Pro Bowl?
- 39:16Speaker 3: It's impossible, Yes, it's impossible. All Star games impossible.
- 39:18Speaker 2: So I love that Georgia beat Florida State seven hundred
- 39:22Speaker 2: and one because that game just shows that nothing matters.
- 39:27Speaker 2: They have to fix it so that it matters a
- 39:29Speaker 2: little bit. And there are a few of those. Oregon
- 39:32Speaker 2: and Liberty. Yeah, Liberty did.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Try and undefeated Liberty.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and bo next played. But h okay, here are
- 39:40Speaker 2: my futures, and we'll do this so every time I
- 39:42Speaker 2: make a big win, I'll throw a little scritchy scratch
- 39:46Speaker 2: on a.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Future Okay, just a little something.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yeah. So some of my future bets are bigger than others,
- 39:51Speaker 2: and some are just me scritchy scratching, just in case
- 39:53Speaker 2: to make.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Up these all NFL.
- 39:55Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because I mean I wouldn't read my Arkansas basketball.
- 39:58Speaker 2: THAT'SAL Championship one.
- 39:59Speaker 3: I mean that one's there.
- 40:02Speaker 2: But I have Okay, here we go. These are my
- 40:03Speaker 2: scritchy scratches. I have the Eagles, which I bet this
- 40:06Speaker 2: week because they lost and those odds plummet. So I
- 40:11Speaker 2: have one hundred bucks twenty thousand.
- 40:12Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Ready for this one?
- 40:15Speaker 3: Come on?
- 40:16Speaker 2: I like this one, Come on because the odds were
- 40:19Speaker 2: so bad and this could be that team that rides
- 40:22Speaker 2: in on the.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Horse Cleveland and It'sland.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I put a little scritchy scratch one hundred bucks on
- 40:31Speaker 2: Cleveland to win thirty six hundred dollars.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Defense is awesome. Flag has been there before. Sure, Amari
- 40:38Speaker 2: Cooper playing out of his mind. Somebody to get the
- 40:41Speaker 2: ball to him. So do I think they're on the
- 40:42Speaker 2: Super Bowl?
- 40:43Speaker 3: No? But that be awesome.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Was it worth it to bet one hundred to win
- 40:46Speaker 2: thirty six hundred?
- 40:47Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 40:47Speaker 3: Absolutely, I might do that too, So I scritchy scratched
- 40:50Speaker 3: that one.
- 40:50Speaker 2: I don't know what the odds are now.
- 40:52Speaker 3: But after this podcast, yeah change.
- 40:55Speaker 2: I'd be December tenth. I bet Kansas City. I just
- 40:59Speaker 2: put us a small screetch scratch on that, fifty bucks,
- 41:01Speaker 2: twenty four to fifty.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:04Speaker 2: I bet the day before that on the Chiefs, a
- 41:06Speaker 2: little script scratch. But the odds were a little better
- 41:08Speaker 2: because they I guess they lost.
- 41:09Speaker 3: After this and he doubled down on them.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Well, I just bet more once I lost, because I'm like,
- 41:13Speaker 2: I still believe in them. I bet two hundred to
- 41:15Speaker 2: win sixteen hundred on the Chiefs. That's pretty good.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Screakie scratch, really good.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Have another Chiefs one hundred dollars Buffalo bills. Now this
- 41:25Speaker 2: is when they were losers.
- 41:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I bet one hundred to win thirteen hundred.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Wow, that's really good. That see. I like that one
- 41:35Speaker 3: better than your Chiefs screachie scratches. But whatever I bet.
- 41:41Speaker 2: I bet dak Press got a thousand bucks win the MVP. Sorry,
- 41:44Speaker 2: that's terrible. I have another Chiefs one from earlier in
- 41:47Speaker 2: the year.
- 41:48Speaker 3: You have three Chiefs, bat like four.
- 41:50Speaker 2: I have five hundred bucks twin twenty six hundred.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Oh my goodness.
- 41:54Speaker 2: I have a little screw scratch on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Fifty bucks because some of these Again, if I win,
- 41:59Speaker 2: I like that couple grand all thow fifty bucks out
- 42:01Speaker 2: because I'm gonna lose that anyway. And a stupid bet.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I get fifty bucks to win eight hundred on Jacksonville.
- 42:08Speaker 2: The Alabama. I was pretty proud of my Alabama because
- 42:11Speaker 2: when they were like they're not getting in their seventh
- 42:14Speaker 2: I bet one hundred bucks on them.
- 42:16Speaker 3: That was to win the whole thing.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Yeah, and so I lost that yesterday though, but one
- 42:19Speaker 2: hundred bucks twenty thousand, that was my big loss yesterday.
- 42:23Speaker 2: College of Basketball. I bet fifty bucks on Yukon win
- 42:25Speaker 2: the national championship for seven fifty.
- 42:27Speaker 3: That still looks okay. I have although I lost to
- 42:31Speaker 3: someone random recently.
- 42:32Speaker 2: They all do like I have Arkansas win of the
- 42:34Speaker 2: NCAA tournament one hundred bucks to pay basically three thousand.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I just do that because if they don't I didn't
- 42:41Speaker 2: make that bet, I'm gonna hate myself. I have the
- 42:43Speaker 2: Eagles back in June of last year, I bet three
- 42:48Speaker 2: hundred and fifty net. So I only made a couple
- 42:50Speaker 2: bets that were like hundreds of bucks. I have the
- 42:54Speaker 2: Eagles three hundred fifty bucks to win the Super Bowl
- 42:57Speaker 2: over three thousand dollars.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Well, that'd be nice.
- 43:00Speaker 2: And then I have the Ravens. I bet two fifty
- 43:02Speaker 2: to win thirty seven to five.
- 43:04Speaker 3: That was early. I'll good for you.
- 43:06Speaker 2: And I have the Cowboys. Oh, this was a big one.
- 43:10Speaker 2: I don't remember betting this one.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Oh, sleepwalking, I bet on June.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Thirtieth, twenty twenty three, seven pm.
- 43:18Speaker 3: What was going on that day?
- 43:20Speaker 2: Had it even started yet?
- 43:21Speaker 3: The season June thirtieth in the summer. No, it hasn't
- 43:25Speaker 3: happened yet. And you were feeling the Cowboys. I love it.
- 43:30Speaker 3: You must have been watching at thirty for thirty or something.
- 43:33Speaker 3: The train robbery June.
- 43:37Speaker 2: January. Huh, I bet five hundred dollars. Let's go to
- 43:42Speaker 2: win five thousand, five hundred dollars.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Let's go see dude, that's I mean right there alone.
- 43:47Speaker 3: You should be won in the Cowboys, I do. I
- 43:49Speaker 3: want the Cowboys, it's going to happen.
- 43:51Speaker 2: And then to have the Saints, which the show all
- 43:53Speaker 2: the show has the Saints. We all put fifty bucks in.
- 43:56Speaker 2: There were twelve of us, six hundred bucks. And if
- 43:59Speaker 2: the Saints get in, which they have to win this
- 44:00Speaker 2: next week.
- 44:01Speaker 3: I think that who they playing. I think I remember
- 44:05Speaker 3: thinking like, okay, maybe Panthers.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Yeah, but Bucks have to lose two.
- 44:09Speaker 3: I think.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I'm not sure the Saints are planned. Maybe Panthers, I'll
- 44:14Speaker 2: tell you. But if the Saints win, it's six hundred
- 44:17Speaker 2: bucks twin eighteen thousand, six hundred.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Oh my goodness they're playing the Falcons playoff spot.
- 44:23Speaker 2: No, because the Bucks can still win. Who are the
- 44:25Speaker 2: Bucks playing.
- 44:26Speaker 3: The Panthers' That's how they're loving life right now, That's
- 44:31Speaker 3: what I was thinking about.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Uh So, okay, let us do this commercial here.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Okay, so let's do that.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Let's do the bowl games, the two Bowl games, okay
- 44:46Speaker 2: last night. Yeah, the Alabama Michigan game is an awesome game.
- 44:50Speaker 3: It's so good.
- 44:50Speaker 2: I'm going to remove the fact that I lost money
- 44:52Speaker 2: on it, although I did win the first to score
- 44:55Speaker 2: I show. I'll put that in our group thread.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Oh and you picked uh who's the word for Alabama?
- 44:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 45:00Speaker 3: But I thought Alabama would win the game.
- 45:02Speaker 2: I really did, me too, And I thought they would
- 45:03Speaker 2: win it mostly all the way through the game, even
- 45:05Speaker 2: down at half. Give it up to Michigan.
- 45:08Speaker 3: Now, damn man. They came and they didn't quit.
- 45:10Speaker 2: And Harball went for in that fourth down ball nearish midfield.
- 45:14Speaker 2: That was the game if he didn't get it. Yeah,
- 45:16Speaker 2: Harball's got freaking nuts like me.
- 45:18Speaker 3: So just like you and that Quorum kid dude, like,
- 45:23Speaker 3: oh my gosh, he can run, he is he is awesome. Yeah,
- 45:27Speaker 3: and I think that's why they could win the whole thing.
- 45:30Speaker 2: So, okay, that game was freaking great.
- 45:36Speaker 3: The very end. Oh, I got a question for you.
- 45:38Speaker 3: I got a question for you. So when they go
- 45:40Speaker 3: to overtime and they get the coin toss and Alabama
- 45:44Speaker 3: wins the toss, everyone's acting like, oh, they're gonna play defense.
- 45:48Speaker 3: They did. Okay, right, and they did. But but even
- 45:51Speaker 3: before then, the announcers like, obviously they're gonna pick defense.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Why would you obviously pick defense?
- 45:57Speaker 2: Just Saban plays defense first. As a matter of fact,
- 46:00Speaker 2: he always when they win the aus he may have
- 46:01Speaker 2: noticed at the persure of the game they deferred, which
- 46:04Speaker 2: means they're going to get the ball at half.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I understand, that's just him.
- 46:08Speaker 2: That's just Saban wanted to play defense. Generally, the rule
- 46:13Speaker 2: has been played defense and see if you can stop
- 46:15Speaker 2: him in score. But more in the past two or
- 46:17Speaker 2: three years, that's that's not been the case, where the
- 46:19Speaker 2: new strategy is let's score first and then put the
- 46:22Speaker 2: pressure on them. But Saban got a burp. Historically has
- 46:28Speaker 2: just been a I mean, he's a defensive coach anyway,
- 46:30Speaker 2: he wants to play defense first. That's why they were
- 46:32Speaker 2: saying that. Mostly Saban related more than anything, else.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Not just a general rule and over time, like you
- 46:36Speaker 3: want to play defense, because I thought that was strange.
- 46:39Speaker 2: They used to be a generalist rule, but now more
- 46:41Speaker 2: people are doing the opposite. But I think that because
- 46:43Speaker 2: they even said it at the beginning on the coin
- 46:45Speaker 2: flip whenever Alabama won and they deferred, maybe that's kind
- 46:51Speaker 2: of what yeah, I was referring to. So then went
- 46:53Speaker 2: to overtime, and I still thought going into that last
- 46:57Speaker 2: play that Alabama's gonna pull it out, and they didn't.
- 47:00Speaker 2: And I don't like Michigan. I think it's hilarious they've
- 47:02Speaker 2: kept winning. I said it from the beginning, like I
- 47:04Speaker 2: don't like Michigan, but I was rooting for him to
- 47:06Speaker 2: get the National Championship game. That was before I bet
- 47:09Speaker 2: in Alabama, honestly. But it's we've forgotten so much about
- 47:14Speaker 2: that scandal because the Florida State stuff. Sure remember Michigan cheated.
- 47:18Speaker 3: They did cheat, and but I don't think anyone cares.
- 47:21Speaker 2: They don't now because it got turned up and bring
- 47:25Speaker 2: it up.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Even if you bring it up to people that didn't
- 47:27Speaker 3: know about it, like like I was there. I was
- 47:29Speaker 3: with family and a lot of the wives. They didn't
- 47:31Speaker 3: know anything about that. So we kind of brushed them up,
- 47:33Speaker 3: and they're like, don't they all do that? And these
- 47:35Speaker 3: are like people that don't watch sports, saying don't they
- 47:37Speaker 3: all do that?
- 47:38Speaker 2: Like, but that's who it is, people who don't watch sports.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Who cares about them anyway? Screw them because they didn't
- 47:45Speaker 2: know about it anyway.
- 47:46Speaker 3: But I'm saying in the whole scheme of you know,
- 47:48Speaker 3: the the big picture, like, really, was it that big
- 47:50Speaker 3: of a deal? It wasn't that big of a deal, which.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Is it's not the big deal, but it's a big
- 47:53Speaker 2: deal to get caught because they're stupid, right, that was dumb.
- 47:56Speaker 2: I I'm like, I'm surprised every team isn't doing it.
- 47:59Speaker 2: They may be they are doing but I'm surprised, But
- 48:02Speaker 2: I'm just surprised that everybody else isn't getting caught. Then
- 48:04Speaker 2: that's that's that's all I cared about. If you're so
- 48:07Speaker 2: dumb to get caught, you should be penalized. I don't
- 48:09Speaker 2: care they were doing it. You could have somebody at
- 48:11Speaker 2: every game doing.
- 48:11Speaker 3: That and I was doing it. What's the Indiana Pacers
- 48:13Speaker 3: sign doing back there?
- 48:14Speaker 2: Oh?
- 48:15Speaker 3: I saw it. I saw when they flashed the Ana
- 48:17Speaker 3: then when Texas flashed the Indiana Pacers signed, what did
- 48:19Speaker 3: that mean? Oh that's a run. I'll remember that now,
- 48:22Speaker 3: I mean, what's the no.
- 48:23Speaker 2: But that's how that works. Oh, it's not well because
- 48:25Speaker 2: they could have four different people calling signs and they
- 48:29Speaker 2: could actually switch, or there could be an indicator. They
- 48:33Speaker 2: could switch the person who's calling the signs every quarter, right,
- 48:36Speaker 2: even downs or odd downs.
- 48:38Speaker 3: And they're just trying to break the code, right, that's
- 48:39Speaker 3: what they were trying to do.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but you won't see a Pacers and no, it's
- 48:42Speaker 2: that easy.
- 48:43Speaker 3: I saw the Facers sign though.
- 48:45Speaker 2: Maybe you were right. Maybe you're right. They cheated and
- 48:49Speaker 2: got caught and that's stupid and you should be penalized
- 48:52Speaker 2: if you get caught. Did she get that's it?
- 48:55Speaker 3: And they got penalized three three games?
- 48:58Speaker 2: Coach, sorry, takes take the championship away once over if
- 49:01Speaker 2: they win, no chance, no chance they're gonna do that.
- 49:04Speaker 2: So I was rinking from Michigan to get the championship game,
- 49:06Speaker 2: but not over Alabama. That sucks. But they played awesome,
- 49:10Speaker 2: but just did I mean it was they hung? Alabama
- 49:12Speaker 2: hit them hard right in the mouth early. I thought
- 49:14Speaker 2: it was gonna be a thirty eight thirty six type game.
- 49:17Speaker 2: It wasn't. Michigan played really well. Jim Harball had balls
- 49:21Speaker 2: like mine went forward of and it was a good game.
- 49:24Speaker 2: And then so we go to the Texas and Washington
- 49:26Speaker 2: game and I bet a thousand bucks on the Washington
- 49:31Speaker 2: money line.
- 49:32Speaker 3: You're you're making up.
- 49:34Speaker 2: I didn't lose that though. I bet one hundred bucks
- 49:37Speaker 2: on Alabama.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Yeah, but so. But but to you, I think you
- 49:40Speaker 3: and I are similar to this, like even if it
- 49:42Speaker 3: was one hundred dollars, Like for me, when I lose
- 49:45Speaker 3: a dollar bet, I'm pissed.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Oh I'm not pissed.
- 49:48Speaker 3: And in the next game, I want to double down
- 49:50Speaker 3: trip I can't.
- 49:52Speaker 2: I'm not gonna chase unless it's like funky, unless I'm
- 49:54Speaker 2: like publicly chasing, and I'm gonna get put in the
- 49:57Speaker 2: town square to be made fun of or to be celebrated.
- 49:59Speaker 3: But don't you see two three games left? Like don't
- 50:02Speaker 3: you look at like, oh my gosh, I got one
- 50:04Speaker 3: game left tonight. That's it, Like let's know, Oh, that's
- 50:06Speaker 3: how I look at it. And then and then we
- 50:08Speaker 3: got one more championship game. That's that's all we got.
- 50:10Speaker 2: I got a lot of college basketball, buddy, Well, that's
- 50:12Speaker 2: there's a lot if if I was just looking for that. Now,
- 50:15Speaker 2: when college basketball ends, I'll probably be trying to fit
- 50:17Speaker 2: in some bets because then I'm done for a while.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Then he got golf. He got golf.
- 50:21Speaker 2: I don't.
- 50:21Speaker 3: I don't bet golf. Oh you're gonna start hitting golf.
- 50:23Speaker 2: I bet it a little bit, and it's just so
- 50:25Speaker 2: hard to win.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but dude, the payoff is so good when you
- 50:27Speaker 3: pick that one golfer.
- 50:29Speaker 2: I did hit an eight game parlay?
- 50:31Speaker 3: You did on what basketball? I sent it to you, guys,
- 50:33Speaker 3: I didn't see it. I'm tired, bad service for most
- 50:35Speaker 3: of the most of the trip.
- 50:36Speaker 2: Let me finish this Washington, Texas. I bet the Washington
- 50:40Speaker 2: money line.
- 50:41Speaker 3: I talked to.
- 50:43Speaker 2: I heard from uh John Middlecoff. I guess I didn't
- 50:47Speaker 2: talk to him.
- 50:48Speaker 3: So what do I mean you heard from him?
- 50:49Speaker 2: I heard him on a podcast.
- 50:52Speaker 3: What did he call you?
- 50:53Speaker 2: I texted him a bit.
- 50:55Speaker 3: But I'm gonna start saying that.
- 50:57Speaker 2: No.
- 50:57Speaker 3: At first I saw it on Twitter. I heard from him.
- 50:59Speaker 2: At first I thought I talked to him. That's how
- 51:02Speaker 2: that's how podcasts are in my head.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Oh my god, Well, he was speaking.
- 51:06Speaker 2: I think I'm having a conversation with these people. He
- 51:09Speaker 2: was really bullish on for their coach, no and all
- 51:15Speaker 2: the nation championships he's won there. He was just like,
- 51:19Speaker 2: I just feel like with this much time, they're going
- 51:21Speaker 2: to beat Texas and he's like a place in the
- 51:23Speaker 2: biggest bet I've ever placed.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Blah blah blah.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Not no, I guess not to me, no to everyone,
- 51:28Speaker 2: But I wonder if he's around, I'll text him and
- 51:30Speaker 2: see if he talk on the phone here. But so
- 51:33Speaker 2: I went and I bet it. You around for five
- 51:39Speaker 2: minutes to.
- 51:39Speaker 3: Talk on this pod. I just put you on speaker.
- 51:49Speaker 2: If not NBD talking.
- 51:54Speaker 3: About you now.
- 51:59Speaker 2: So I bet it, and you did money line money line,
- 52:02Speaker 2: which they were a four point dog. You bet them
- 52:04Speaker 2: in I bet the dog.
- 52:05Speaker 3: But I bet the dog before I left. I left
- 52:07Speaker 3: to Texas, which was, oh, you bet it a while ago? Yeah,
- 52:10Speaker 3: because I mean, I I can't bet in Texas, and
- 52:12Speaker 3: I figured I was gonna be in Texas.
- 52:14Speaker 2: You bet I have a VPN on I can tell
- 52:19Speaker 2: you they don't work.
- 52:20Speaker 3: Then you shouldn't do that anyway, they don't work, so
- 52:23Speaker 3: don't do it. Oh yeah, So I bet those early
- 52:25Speaker 3: so I don't know. I only got him at like two.
- 52:27Speaker 3: I think, dude, the line that you got him at four.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Maybe I did. I don't know. I don't remember. Look,
- 52:32Speaker 3: I don't remember. I mean, I want even if they're
- 52:34Speaker 3: an underdog, I just want them to win anyway, which
- 52:35Speaker 3: I did end up betting the live money line. But
- 52:39Speaker 3: do so we all want, we all want on that one.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Except I want.
- 52:43Speaker 2: Washington plus four. There we go, Washington plus four. You
- 52:47Speaker 2: made the bet on December twenty second, yeah, before you left,
- 52:51Speaker 2: and you made you bet ten and you won nine bucks.
- 52:56Speaker 3: It's a great day, it's great. Yeah. But then I did,
- 53:01Speaker 3: I did spend the bank on the money line because
- 53:03Speaker 3: they were up. I think, by gosh, dude, what I bet.
- 53:06Speaker 3: I think they were up by ten or eleven?
- 53:10Speaker 2: Did I post my bet slipping here with you guys?
- 53:13Speaker 3: You did?
- 53:13Speaker 2: You said on the same Oh, so I bet Washington
- 53:16Speaker 2: before the game plus one forty two. John Middlecoff told me,
- 53:19Speaker 2: especially just me, all alone, just me, I just you.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I bet a thousand bucks and I won twenty four
- 53:23Speaker 2: hundred twenty dollars.
- 53:24Speaker 3: That's awesome. Were you puckered at the end there a
- 53:25Speaker 3: little bit? Yeah?
- 53:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I was too, because and I don't even know
- 53:29Speaker 2: that it's that Washington made any sort of terrible, bad
- 53:32Speaker 2: strategic decision. They're running the ball, their player gets hurt,
- 53:35Speaker 2: sure that you can run the rest of the clock out.
- 53:38Speaker 2: This happens all the time, Yes, And you could see
- 53:42Speaker 2: him trying to fight to get off the field real quick.
- 53:44Speaker 2: For a minute he was like and then he just
- 53:46Speaker 2: couldn't do it and he stopped and they had to
- 53:48Speaker 2: carry him. But I did see him after the game
- 53:49Speaker 2: in just a boot, no crutches.
- 53:51Speaker 3: I saw him going out from the cart kind of
- 53:53Speaker 3: celebrating the win. All you did. Yeah, he was going
- 53:56Speaker 3: to the tunnel like, just celebrated.
- 53:58Speaker 2: And then Texas just chunked, Yeah, chunk, chunk, chunk nail.
- 54:01Speaker 2: But the thing about Washington what I did admire was
- 54:04Speaker 2: they weren't playing a prevent defense. A lot of times
- 54:07Speaker 2: you get got because you play a pre event just
- 54:09Speaker 2: to make sure they don't score and all of a sudden,
- 54:11Speaker 2: but they had their corners up playing i won't say press,
- 54:14Speaker 2: and at times they were given a little cushion, but
- 54:15Speaker 2: it was not a straight prevan defense. But I was
- 54:19Speaker 2: puckered a little bit. I was happy to see Washington.
- 54:21Speaker 2: I think Washington could be Michigan.
- 54:23Speaker 3: You do, yeah, see, I don't think. I don't think
- 54:26Speaker 3: Washington can stop that run because that's kind of what
- 54:29Speaker 3: they were getting beat. And I think Texas Texas lost
- 54:32Speaker 3: their their running back. So these are two guys. I
- 54:35Speaker 3: think two freshmen were running the ball against Washington. And
- 54:37Speaker 3: if they could move the ball like that with two
- 54:39Speaker 3: freshmen or two younger guys not their their stud I
- 54:43Speaker 3: think they're gonna have a problem with Blake Corm.
- 54:45Speaker 2: I think you're exactly right on. If there is a problem,
- 54:47Speaker 2: that's it because they're not as strong inside as they'll
- 54:54Speaker 2: need to be to stop that Michigan offensive line and
- 54:57Speaker 2: run a Korm's awesome. He set the record for touchdowns
- 55:00Speaker 2: all time in Michigan, which is cool. But yeah too, those.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Games were good, two great games back to back because
- 55:06Speaker 3: both teams cared. I know that's what happens. When teams cared,
- 55:11Speaker 3: you get a good freaking game. Oh man, but was crazy?
- 55:14Speaker 3: I was gonna talk to you about the Florida State game.
- 55:16Speaker 3: Is I bet that on the twenty second too at
- 55:18Speaker 3: the airport when I was before I left, and that
- 55:22Speaker 3: that line changed. I got it at four at plus fourteen,
- 55:25Speaker 3: Florida State plus fourteen, and it was plus twenty one.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Started the game like I'd never seen a line change like.
- 55:30Speaker 2: That because nobody was playing yeah, right, Like eventually more
- 55:33Speaker 2: and more people weren't playing yeah. Is that probably?
- 55:35Speaker 3: Well, then obviously it didn't matter because they got beat
- 55:37Speaker 3: by sixty points.
- 55:38Speaker 2: I'm here, Oh god, I felt bad for them.
- 55:41Speaker 3: Yeah, and you cause you know they wanted it so bad.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Well, and also all the people going see we told
- 55:47Speaker 2: you the Bowl community. What sucks is they were playing
- 55:50Speaker 2: fourth stringers and so it isn't actually reflective of if
- 55:55Speaker 2: they could have done right. I still don't think it
- 55:57Speaker 2: would have mattered. I still think they would have lost
- 55:59Speaker 2: and it had been ugly. However, it sucks for Florida
- 56:03Speaker 2: State now fans because even though everybody knows it was
- 56:06Speaker 2: bull craft, they lost so bad because all the players
- 56:08Speaker 2: at Florida State, they say anything like dude, you lost
- 56:09Speaker 2: sixties or did they have no I know it, but
- 56:12Speaker 2: they deserve a little ground to walk on for the season.
- 56:15Speaker 3: Florida, Florida. As far as getting in the playoffs, no,
- 56:17Speaker 3: you can't say anything about it. That game just solidified
- 56:20Speaker 3: any argument.
- 56:21Speaker 2: That game solidified for idiots. But everybody's an idiot. That's
- 56:25Speaker 2: my point.
- 56:25Speaker 3: Everyone before it happens is an idiot.
- 56:27Speaker 2: Everyone's yes, because people if someone argues, let's say I'm
- 56:31Speaker 2: a Florida State fan, h and I'm like, oh man,
- 56:34Speaker 2: we got screwed. Like we went undefeated in a Power
- 56:37Speaker 2: five conference. Yeah, we lost our starting quarterback, but our
- 56:39Speaker 2: second string guy, four star kid played.
- 56:41Speaker 3: We beat Louisville, he won the he won the conference,
- 56:44Speaker 3: the conference champ.
- 56:45Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like we should have been there. What would
- 56:47Speaker 2: you say.
- 56:49Speaker 3: I was with them, I'd say, yes, you should be there. No, no, no, no,
- 56:53Speaker 3: I I was with them. No today, oh today, you're
- 56:55Speaker 3: an idiot? Why because look what happened? What they lost
- 56:59Speaker 3: by sixty point?
- 56:59Speaker 2: No, but we all our whole teams, fourth s ringers.
- 57:02Speaker 2: It was like the we had like twenty seven scholarships
- 57:04Speaker 2: on the whole team.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Did they know, because like I would think the Florida
- 57:08Speaker 3: State would put all their efforts to win that game
- 57:10Speaker 3: just to shut everyone up.
- 57:11Speaker 2: But they don't have enough scholarship players. They don't.
- 57:13Speaker 3: So even if so if you're not a scholarship player.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Even if West Lake High School put all their efforts
- 57:18Speaker 2: in to beat Georgia, all their efforts.
- 57:20Speaker 3: They can't beat them.
- 57:21Speaker 2: They're gonna do it.
- 57:21Speaker 3: I get it.
- 57:22Speaker 2: My big losses were the Alabama Future kicked me in
- 57:27Speaker 2: the nads. I did have an Alabama one hundred dollars
- 57:29Speaker 2: loss spread first half point oh five. I thought they'd
- 57:32Speaker 2: be in the lead there.
- 57:32Speaker 3: They didn't.
- 57:35Speaker 2: Let's see, I bet one of your stupid bets. Well,
- 57:40Speaker 2: my stupid bet Phil gold attempt on the seventh Miami
- 57:42Speaker 2: Dolphins driver result live betting. Yeah, I do that because
- 57:44Speaker 2: that was just like Eddie loves doing these punts. Punts though,
- 57:48Speaker 2: See that's what I bet a punt. I bet forty five?
- 57:50Speaker 2: Could you always say punt? I bet punt. I was
- 57:52Speaker 2: watching the game, dude, I just pulled it up. I
- 57:53Speaker 2: was like, I want to bet punt without watching it.
- 57:55Speaker 2: And I lost that one.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Yeah, those are fun. Those are fun until you like
- 57:59Speaker 3: you just like, how am I losing five points in
- 58:01Speaker 3: a row? I don't understand it.
- 58:02Speaker 2: The Dallas Cowboys minus one and a half live game.
- 58:05Speaker 3: I lost that by one point fifteen bucks.
- 58:10Speaker 2: I must say we're we're doing it now. But that's okay.

- 59:20Speaker 3: I enjoyed the game. I mean, I'm I didn't think

- 59:27Speaker 3: to the game, I thought, man, this is no big deal.
- 59:29Speaker 3: It's gonna be fun. Families here, We're gonna be watching
- 59:31Speaker 3: the Cowboys beat Detroit. It'd be great. And then it
- 59:34Speaker 3: was just stressful the entire game. It was stressful the
- 59:38Speaker 3: entire game. And then in the end, I'm like, oh
- 59:39Speaker 3: my gosh, are we gonna win this stupid game or not.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Oh, I'm gonna find you that parlay I hit so
- 59:43Speaker 2: I can show you.
- 59:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you can probably pull it up too.
- 59:48Speaker 3: I have it.
- 59:48Speaker 2: I don't yeah, oh yeah, I did send it in
- 59:50Speaker 2: a thread here, but that's pretty happy with it. Because
- 59:54Speaker 2: I don't bet a lot of your parlays, which as
- 59:56Speaker 2: you just pick every team in the whole world. Oh
- 59:58Speaker 2: you know what, I bet too.
- 59:59Speaker 3: Don't going right now that I.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Don't often win. I don't ever bet because I don't
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: win them. If I do, I bet ceee lamp first
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: touchdown score. Nice with twenty four dollars one hundred and
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: fifty six dollars. What I'm talking about, dude, I never
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: do those because it's so hard, like.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: Yeah, out of every player on the field, like he's
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: gonna be the first touchdown.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Never, those those are the craziest stupid bets ever.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: That's awesome. That's all. What I've been doing a lot
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: is NBA.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I hit Joe Flacco over passing yards for bete hundred
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: and fifty one two eighty nice, I bet five. I
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: had a five game parlay. I didn't even know Joe
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: Flecco passing yards, Joe Flacco passing touchdowns over one point five,
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: over forty eight and a half, David yokup receiving yards,
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: and Cleveland run the money line, okay, and then over
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: fifty seven.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: That's same game parlay. I'm alright, Markoper, what same game parlay? Yeah,
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: that's awesome, dude, I.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Just want to find this one because I don't.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: I'm not gonna do all. That's okay, we go eight picks,
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: eight eight picks. I've been college basketball.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: I bet thirty three dollars eight picks. I had Nevada
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: money line over TCU and they won eighty eight seventy five.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: I had SMU money line over Murray State. They won
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: ninety two sixty five.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: Random game, I know.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: I had South Carolina I took. I took a line
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: here minus fourteen and a half because I just look
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: to see if Elon was any good and South Carolina
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: is actually playing really well and they won seventy to
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: forty three. I took a Baylor money line minus forty
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: and a half Versussissippi Valley and they won. Yeah, I
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: took bro I just clicked this one. I'll be honest
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: with you because I do a couple of just clicks.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: High point beating canisis who exactly so like something I
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: do with the cans candel Canisis Who were these themes?
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Could you watch this game at all?
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Dude, I don't even know m plus I think it
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: was just played in the metaverse.
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: It's like when I used to be yeah, yeah, overseas.
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Saint Bonaventure beating Binghamton.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: I got that one.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, Notre Dame beating Marist moneyline got that.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: One, Okay, good because Notre Dame and nu'er one.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: I picked Kansas minus fifteen and they played Yale, and
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: I watched that game and Yale scored to make it
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: a fifteen point game at the end. Wow, that one
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: got rubbed, so it just didn't count either way. It
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: was a six game seven, so I bet so it
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: was eight to begin with that one the time of
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: the seventh. Nice, I bet thirty dollars and thirty six
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: that's amazing, fun, dude, those are the best.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: That's fun.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Yeah, but it never happened.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: No, And thirty three bucks is like, that's literally like
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: all right, throwing this money away. Good job, dude, that's awesome.
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: I'll do a couple of other things real quick, and
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: then we'll wrap it up. Because I let's see here
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: when in the last episode that I did, when I
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: was by myself, I was talking about the Pistons twenty
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: eight game losing streak. It's over now they won a game,
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: but they've lost every game since they won that game.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: But I was then I went and started talking about
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: the best streaks, most entertaining streaks ever.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Okay, like winning streak.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: It doesn't just matter if they're winning. And I was
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: talking about squash squash. Yeah, what do you think squashes squash?
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: Because I mean I just thought I might go ahead.
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: I'm not an expert in squash either. Don't worry.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: I I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: So you can look it up on your phone, because
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: I never did. I just assume it's all what do I.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: Put in there? Because it's just gonna give me the vegetable.
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: Right, we'll do squash sport.
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: Yeah, squash sports.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: Or just sport?
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Is it like records sport?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: Okay. It's a racket sport played by two players or
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: four players for doubles in a four walled court with
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: a small hollow rubber ball. So racquetball base that's what
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: I thought, basically racketball. Yeah.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: This guy named jonga heir Kahn won five hundred and
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: fifty five matches in a row baller. It is the
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: longest sporting win streak of all time in any sport.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: How did you find that?
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: I think I googled what's the longest winning streak in
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: all time.
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: And homeboy came up. Yeah, that's awesome.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: He had won the first championship because apparently I don't
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: even know where he lives. Type in jaw as in
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: jaw rule h a n g a r jaw hang ir.
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: But hanging over with an Ir It's what's first name?
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Jaw hanger with an I Kahn like Genghis. And see
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: where he's from.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Con got it as a former He's Pakistani.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: Okay, so it must be huge in the Middle East,
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: because I thought the dude right there that's an athlete
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: looks like.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: It looks like me. He's just older.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Yes, he's older, but I thought I wish I had
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: an American sport to compare it to because I don't
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: know enough about it. So another one, Della cl High School. Okay,
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: they held the national record high school of one hundred
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: and fifty one game winning straight hig school football. Wow,
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: they won every game from ninety two to two thousand
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: and four.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: That's crazy. Well, they must be in a really small
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: like no division they want, but they.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Want state championship too. So even if you're a small division,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: I mean you have a small school.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Yeah, but like, well look up, but what what's the
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: like how competitive was Mountain Pine? Like you had to
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: be what five schools?
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: Our conference was eight or nine? But even if we
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: won that, that's not state championship. Then we have to
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: go and play rising Yeah, like we went we went
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: to the playoffs and just got runs. Sometimes that's pretty
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: much by the private schools.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Sure, who can bring anyone?
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Bring anyone in? Yeah? Look up De La Salle High
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: School lies in de la Hoya de e space La
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: La Dela Sal s a l l E.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: High School, Dallas South Football. Here you go.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: What conference do they?
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: Ah, they're in Concord, California. Uh huh they are. Let's
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: see max Preps. We got here. Where's their conference?
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: I guess you could just decide what size is Dela.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Like what I'm trying to see what conference they're in?
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: How big is it? I mean, what conference? What classification?
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: I'd probably do that, I got it? What classification is
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: dell Uh so I can't. I don't know. I spelled
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: how d e l d E space l A space
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: s a l l e. Okay, Della Sal.
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: I did classificate Delsa University.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: That's not it, Della sal High School?
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Okay, here we go. It's a it is a private school.
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: And you got that. Oh, Division one double A Division
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: one double A. That's like, are you sure.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: You're not looking at the university Because a lot of
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: private schools, like even here, like Belmont, they you can
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: go to college there too.
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: This say is varsity football, which NFL.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: Players went to Dallas l DJ Williams, Simonmike. They have
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: c NFL players. I don't know, dude.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: That's pretty cool though. It's impressive.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: How many state championships same coach twenty five North Coast
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Section championship, one hundred and eighteen Northern California championships, twenty
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: five CIF championships, six national titles. Dang, I don't even
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: know what the California system is. Okay, so there's that one,
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: which I thought was pretty cool. But they but they
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: ended up getting beat by a school from Seattle, so
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: they were playing schools outside of their conference too.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Yeah, these public schools can pick whoever they want to
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: play these private schools.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Another one was Chris Dudley.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: Do you remember him?
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: No, played basketball, he played forever, but just a big, tall, goofy.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: Dude.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: I don't even know where to play college. I feel
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: like Chris Dudley played college.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Chris Dudley, did you play in the nineties? Oh yeah, yeah, okay,
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: I think he was in my team. You might've been
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: on my two K team?
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Oh really?
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Think so? Well?
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: You haven't played in two years to two player two player,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: your competer, training your players off and everything.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: I tried to log in today and it didn't work again.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: He missed thirteen straight free throws. Wow, obnutly not at
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: one time, no foul, that's that hard.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: Thirteen. I could probably do that.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: No, yes, you probably could do that. But he missed
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: thirteen straight free throws.
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: That's crazy and I feel for that. I feel for that, dude.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: I have another one.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Cal Tech men's basketball lost two hundred and seven games straight.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: M Like, how do you even play for that team?
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: Well, you played for them when no one else wants
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: you to play for that.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: No, this is brutal.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: So I did that whole thing. You can go back
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: and hear that too. And then we did an episode.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Kaitlyn and I hopped in. Kaylen hoped in for one.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Did you do twenty five whistles?
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: No?
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: I did a Bobby cast, which you'll talk about. Well,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: she didn't know she was coming in for it. She
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: was coming to tell me that maybe food is ready
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: or something.
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: She's just walking in here to tell you.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: No.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: She walked in and it was dark, and she scared
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: the crap out of me. And I was like, come
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: in and then she sat down and we talked about something.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: Let's talk about some movies.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: What about the food? Did you just get cold?
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Yeah? But I don't know if you've heard of this.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: It's crazy.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: We have a microwave too warm, but that's not the same.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Food's ready means like, dude, it's ready to eat. Mm hmm. Hey,
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: let me ask you this. Do you think it's racist? Oh?
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: God, I don't. I'm out. All right, We'll see you,
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: see you next week.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Every but why does my wife's family always make me
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: cook fajitas Christmas time? Like there's a faeta night, Okay,
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: and like I've always I always have to do it. Now,
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: it could not. It could not be racist because I
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: do make good fahidas.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Can I say that? I do not think it's racist.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: But you're also asking a white guy to make a
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: decision about somebody who's Hispanic. Sure, I do not think
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: it's racist, because if there were two things I would
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: ask you to make, I would say, hey, would you
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: mind cooking the steaks or would you mind making fijidas steaks?
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Not races not.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: But but I'm not asking you because either you're a
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: rancher or a Mexican fair. I'm asking you because in
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: our history together, the two things you have made the
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: most and have made really well are steaks and fijidas. Okay,
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: and two things you've taken pride in our steaks in fijidas. Right,
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: So I would say that as well, would you make
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: steaks or fajidas not because of your skin color, but
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: because of your history of doing it successfully?
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: And I think that's okay, because you got you got
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: the options. Unless they're like, well, they do buy tequila
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: to make margarita's.
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: Okay, but that's what you do that too, but you
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: want that done, correct.
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: But see, here's the deal. So there's three three siblings, right,
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: My wife has two sisters. They're all white. I'm the
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: only Mexican. Okay. So one family is responsible for one
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: night of dinner. Right. So the first night, the one
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: of the other couples, they made pork butt, barbeque, pork butt.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Okay, Now are they white?
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: They're white?
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Checks off? Go ahead, okay. The second night, cheeseburgers.
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: Hold on, second, are they white they're white?
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: Checks off? All right, go ahead. Third night, it's our night,
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: bahitas and margaritas.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Maybe they're asking you that as a favor to you
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: because they know that's easy for you and you don't
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: have to like look it up. Also, did you are Mexican?
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: I understand.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: I don't think it's racist to me racism, but it's.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: Not like Eddie. You choose whatever you want to choose.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: It's your night to cook.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: Did they ask the other people would you mind cooking
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: cheese meat?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: No?
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: They just say you're doing pork, but you're doing cheeseburgers.
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: I got you. That's it. You know what I'm talking about.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: All right, you guys, we're back on the air on
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: Thursday Morning Live. So I don't know how you're hearing this,
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: but we're back on your Thursday Morning Live as a
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: Boybone show. Thanks for listening to twenty by Whistles Eddie,
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: thank you for the Christmas gift.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: You're welcome. Now you know it's a hey, what do
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: you mean?
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: That's right, it's pickleball bag and then we hope this loads.
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Let's I hope it recorded.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: Well, I'll worry about that too because I'm running at myself.
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: But I used to run the board all the time,
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: so I still have knowledge of it. But what I
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: do is Mike uploads it. I leave it here on
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: the I save it and leave it on the desktop
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: and he uploads it.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: You can to tell him there's these spaces where we're
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: looking up stuff. Cut them out.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: No, I think you should leave them in.
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: Okay, all right? Who cares at la space?
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: So Mike, if you hear this, leave it in, all right?
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: Thank you?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Guys follow at twenty five whistles and so quickly. We're
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: going to the Pacers next week. Yeah, to shoot it
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: too much?
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Excited and we're going the night before to watch a game.
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: Who are they playing?
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: The Celtics.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: Oh, Kevin's gonna love that. I can't wait to hear
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Kevin's story about going to the rose Bolt.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: I was talking about them, but yeah, apparently he didn't
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: get in.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: I can't wait to hear that one.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: So they just asked me if I want I didn't
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: have another tradition.
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: Oh, halftime, halftime dunks on a trampoline and a monkey.
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Come on. They have asked me to ask you to
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: cook pietas for everybody, and I think they do. Who
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: just the monk is? The Suns? Has the girla the
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: dunk and girl? They've asked me to get in the
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: indy car before the game and started up. They do
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: that apparently, so because it's Indianapolis, obviously, maybe that's how
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: they start their games. They begin no, no, no, So
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: that's cool. They're like, Bobby want to do that? And
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: I was like, I told my wife was like, that's
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: that's so cool. She's like, why is that not? Why
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: is it cool? But she's like, why is that cool
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: to you? I was like, because I'm not famous, Like
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: I'm like known in places, but I'm not famous, and
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: for a professional team where our show doesn't like we're
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: not even on the terrestrial radio in Indianapolis.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but you want to dance with the stars, but
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: that doesn't matter.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: They remember you, Like realistically, here's the thing. Nobody cares
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: IM joke about it because it's hilarious. You aren't American
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: Idol again, not anymore.
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: Though they might know you from that.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: It turns out they're all breaking bybones fans.
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: They breaking my bones. But Snake in the Grass I
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: hear you.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: But I just feel like like I'm not worthy of
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: it and that people are gonna be like, huh who,
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: But I don't care. I'm trying to I'm trying not
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: to worry about who cares about that. I'm trying to
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: worry about that. But I think that's awesome.
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: That's gonna be really cool. We're gonna have fun. So
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: you start the car and then that's the game starts.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: Then I drive it around the car and you crash it.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: I have no idea what's happening. I don't know anything
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: about it. But that's if I want to start the car,
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: that's really cool. Maybe it's up somewhere and the cameras
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: on it, or I don't think they're driving on the court.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: But I don't know. Do you know who we're talking to? No?
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: Okay, And Kevin said he's gonna find he's gonna get
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: a call next week and figure out who it is.
- 1:14:50Speaker 3: His buddy. Heeled would be cool that he That is awesome.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: I had him my two K team.
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: All right. Well, speaking of two K, asked if we
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: can talk a wall he's a RBA because I guess
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: he is?
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: He there?
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: Well, he does their play play that amazing?
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: I meet that guy? Why? Just because he scored like
- 1:15:06Speaker 3: fifty points on me and mothered my mother.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: I was like, can I get while he's a REAC
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: And it turns out he works for the knicks as well,
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: and goes back and forth, and he will not be
