- 0:00Speaker 1: Stick to me, like, God, what.
- 0:20Speaker 2: But what's going on? Everybody? I'm the one, the only
- 0:25Speaker 2: the w oh okay, I e we're throwing the ban
- 0:28Speaker 2: hammer at Dexter. We just actually want to throw hammers
- 0:31Speaker 2: at Dexter. Doesn't necessarily have to be a band hammer.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Could be a ball peen, maybe a framing nailer. What
- 0:40Speaker 2: a ball.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Hammer like the one that from Dexter, the TV show Ballpen?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah, ball hammer.
- 0:46Speaker 4: About balls and peans in the first two minutes.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Right we absolutely what else is the show good for
- 0:53Speaker 2: if we can't talk about balls and or pens?
- 0:56Speaker 3: What does this start?
- 0:58Speaker 2: What does what start?
- 1:01Speaker 3: Whatever we're talking about right now?
- 1:03Speaker 2: And it's it is what it is? Man, nobody's listening.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Remember where the bad were? The bad boys have altered?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we're the only boys have altered. Really,
- 1:14Speaker 2: I mean.
- 1:15Speaker 4: We got our new best friends.
- 1:16Speaker 2: We have our new best friends that I could have.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Where are they from? Are they? Are they UK? Spain?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Utah?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Utah? Utah? Same guntry? Why not?
- 1:31Speaker 4: One of them is originally from Australia but they both
- 1:35Speaker 4: live in Utah.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I wasn't even close, So did you know?
- 1:39Speaker 4: So neither of you listened to my episode is what
- 1:42Speaker 4: you're saying.
- 1:42Speaker 3: So now I don't remember anything that you said, but
- 1:46Speaker 3: I listened to it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I haven't gotten that. I have not gotten a chance
- 1:49Speaker 2: to yet. No, I've work, work, work, work, work all
- 1:54Speaker 2: day long, dusing in this song.
- 1:59Speaker 5: Oh yeah, going to ask Artha has published a lot
- 2:02Speaker 5: of episodes very quickly.
- 2:04Speaker 2: That you can do that when you have clear determination
- 2:11Speaker 2: and some focus, of which this podcast that we talk
- 2:16Speaker 2: about balls and peans.
- 2:18Speaker 3: This is true.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, but what's going on? Everybody? Welcome to our This
- 2:24Speaker 2: is not Arcans Corner. This is altered joined here by
- 2:28Speaker 2: the normal cast of misfits. We have my right hand man,
- 2:31Speaker 2: mister Cole Robbie Hello, Hello, and that kid that might
- 2:36Speaker 2: murder you later on tonight. He may have also slipped
- 2:39Speaker 2: a mickey in your drink Dexter.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Hello, everybody?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Does that? Does that phrase mean anything to you?
- 2:46Speaker 3: Young Nicky?
- 2:48Speaker 2: Do you know what a mickey is?
- 2:51Speaker 3: No idea, got it? So can you explain it?
- 2:56Speaker 4: Uh?
- 2:57Speaker 2: It's it's a date rape drug.
- 3:00Speaker 5: Oh okay, something that somebody I just hear roofies nowadays.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's the same thing. I think it's
- 3:06Speaker 2: just I think Rufie took over mickey. Okay, I could
- 3:10Speaker 2: be wrong.
- 3:11Speaker 5: I assume that's what it was referring to, but I
- 3:13Speaker 5: had never actually heard the term mickey before.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Like I said, could be wrong too. I'm not real
- 3:16Speaker 2: big of the drug community, so I hosted Altered and
- 3:21Speaker 2: a key Forge podcast, not a drug podcast.
- 3:25Speaker 4: So I am very big in the drug community, but
- 3:29Speaker 4: not that kind, because that's very wrong.
- 3:32Speaker 2: So he just likes he likes the drugs that Mother
- 3:35Speaker 2: Nature provides you.
- 3:37Speaker 4: Yeah, like, oh yeah, hocine.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Oh very nice?
- 3:42Speaker 2: Wow?
- 3:42Speaker 4: What what is this episode? Already?
- 3:45Speaker 2: We are we have already gone down the rabbit hole.
- 3:50Speaker 2: We're just making sure.
- 3:51Speaker 3: We haven't even introduced any of our topics yet.
- 3:53Speaker 2: If you had cocaine on your bag, on your Altered corner,
- 3:56Speaker 2: bingo cards, stampede one off, good on you, because I
- 3:59Speaker 2: did not see that. I didn't have it, that's for sure.
- 4:03Speaker 2: But we are one week away from Dallas. Te Maults,
- 4:08Speaker 2: I have no idea about Wisconsin t molts. But that's okay.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Dallas is the only people that actually listen to this show.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I'm kidding lots. I think lots of people listen to
- 4:19Speaker 2: this show.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Some people, probably more people outside of Dallas than in Dallas, US,
- 4:24Speaker 4: more people out.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Texas, Texas.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't know about all that. Are you talking about
- 4:31Speaker 2: that listen to the show or just in I don't
- 4:34Speaker 2: know about all like on the podcast. That may be
- 4:40Speaker 2: a thing or maybe not a thing. But marketplace and
- 4:45Speaker 2: print on demand And I got to say this because
- 4:48Speaker 2: you typed it in ye or do I need to
- 4:52Speaker 2: do I need to put a little Texas touring on it.
- 4:55Speaker 4: That was pretty good, very good.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 5:01Speaker 4: You say so.
- 5:02Speaker 2: So I'm guessing you got access to the marketplace in
- 5:05Speaker 2: the Print on Demand.
- 5:07Speaker 4: Yeah I did not.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I thought I am I allowed to talk about things
- 5:14Speaker 3: from the first one.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Okay, maybe not. Maybe we're gonna stick with no dexter.
- 5:22Speaker 2: I think just just go with no dexter. Okay, call handle.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Yeah, I can talk generally about what I know about
- 5:31Speaker 5: marketplace without saying anything.
- 5:33Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 5:33Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I thought that Dexter also
- 5:40Speaker 4: got access. I thought he just didn't get it on
- 5:42Speaker 4: the first day. But I guess that's.
- 5:47Speaker 2: When.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Uh, nobody reads the show notes until ten minutes.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Before I read the show notes, like three days in advance,
- 5:57Speaker 2: and I didn't get access.
- 6:00Speaker 4: You didn't even apply for access.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Though, don't tell everyone.
- 6:05Speaker 3: I read this before when I thought that Fell was
- 6:07Speaker 3: going to be on the show, and it said that
- 6:09Speaker 3: half of the cast had Marketplace, and I assumed that
- 6:11Speaker 3: he had Marketplace.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm assuming, Oh I thought. I thought he did too.
- 6:17Speaker 4: No, I don't.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Uh.
- 6:19Speaker 4: I think he applied a little too late and wasn't
- 6:22Speaker 4: in the first round. But I'm not sure.
- 6:24Speaker 2: How do you know if I applied or if I
- 6:25Speaker 2: didn't apply.
- 6:27Speaker 4: Because I know things. How it worked out for those
- 6:33Speaker 4: who don't know, is once upon a time there was
- 6:36Speaker 4: a beta Phase one. Yes, and it was under NDA.
- 6:42Speaker 4: That's why you didn't see very much information about it.
- 6:46Speaker 4: But the sign up was basically true. I don't even
- 6:51Speaker 4: know how long ago it was now. The sign up
- 6:53Speaker 4: maybe was in early January.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah, months ago, man, it was that.
- 6:58Speaker 2: I thought it was longer than that.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Now the game six months to me, it really does
- 7:05Speaker 3: seven months total.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Man, it's crazy time flies. I thought, yeah, I thought
- 7:11Speaker 2: it was earlier than that. But I'm like, oh, okay,
- 7:13Speaker 2: near mind.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 4: So if you were accepted into the phase one but
- 7:24Speaker 4: didn't get a chance to actually use it, then it
- 7:27Speaker 4: is very likely that you'll have access during Phase two.
- 7:32Speaker 4: And also if you got access and we're able to
- 7:38Speaker 4: use it, you'll probably have access in phase two as well,
- 7:42Speaker 4: but probably no one else until it is open open.
- 7:51Speaker 4: I think this week was technically a really small part
- 7:58Speaker 4: of the pool, and it might have been one that
- 8:03Speaker 4: was meant for specific people to actually be last week,
- 8:09Speaker 4: but they were wrapping up some final things, so it
- 8:13Speaker 4: just got pushed to Monday. So on Monday, I believe
- 8:21Speaker 4: one hundred people or so got access, and then as
- 8:25Speaker 4: time goes on they slowly add in more and more people.
- 8:30Speaker 3: Wow, they started with one hundred, Yeah, yeah, so tiny.
- 8:35Speaker 4: The first day was a lot of like listing cards
- 8:40Speaker 4: and things like that, and then we ran into some
- 8:45Speaker 4: card issue stuff so you couldn't load your wallet, so
- 8:49Speaker 4: there wasn't a lot of buying.
- 8:51Speaker 5: And I heard some people talking about that on discords,
- 8:54Speaker 5: a lot of people being upset that their bank transfers
- 8:57Speaker 5: weren't working or something about the wallet not working.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Up and then and then next week it'll transfer double
- 9:03Speaker 2: the money or however many times you press the button.
- 9:07Speaker 4: That would be funny, but yeah, it'd be pretty funny
- 9:11Speaker 4: if you tried to do it, you know.
- 9:13Speaker 3: That would also take kind of a lot of people's
- 9:15Speaker 3: money out of their bank accounts.
- 9:18Speaker 4: I mean, you guys are gonna make me soapbox already.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Go for it, Soapbox.
- 9:27Speaker 4: So I feel like a huge percentage of the community
- 9:32Speaker 4: do not know what the hell of beta is. You
- 9:36Speaker 4: You are signing up to test a feature with you know,
- 9:42Speaker 4: the idea that it's not going to be fully complete.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Your job is to help test and find bugs and
- 9:50Speaker 4: report bugs. Maybe not as critical as an alpha, but
- 9:55Speaker 4: that is what a beta is supposed to be.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I know that turn.
- 10:00Speaker 4: It's kind of been ruined, you know, with how gaming
- 10:04Speaker 4: has worked recently.
- 10:05Speaker 5: But yeah, I done beatas for some other games, and
- 10:08Speaker 5: that's kind of less the focus. It's more of just
- 10:11Speaker 5: like testing it to make sure that everything works, and
- 10:13Speaker 5: while you're doing it, it should be mostly working, and
- 10:17Speaker 5: you're there to also enjoy doing the thing, and like,
- 10:20Speaker 5: if it's not working, that seems to be a problem.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I agree some people has been ruined by the video
- 10:28Speaker 2: game industry. Yeah, and I'm going to say it's the
- 10:32Speaker 2: video game industry because it's exactly what Dexter said. It's oh,
- 10:37Speaker 2: joined the beta and it's pretty much that's the finished product,
- 10:42Speaker 2: and now we kind of all assume that that's how
- 10:44Speaker 2: all beta's go, and it's like, that's not really what
- 10:46Speaker 2: a beta is.
- 10:47Speaker 4: But yeah, so if you are part of a beta,
- 10:52Speaker 4: you should be in the area of you know, wherever
- 10:57Speaker 4: the discussion is happening, like coordinating talking about bugs, and
- 11:02Speaker 4: there is that section of discord. So if you have
- 11:06Speaker 4: an error, you should go to that section and see
- 11:10Speaker 4: if it's like an everyone error or something they've communicated.
- 11:15Speaker 4: So if you did neither of those things, and you
- 11:18Speaker 4: also know it's a beta, and you tried to load
- 11:20Speaker 4: your wallet twenty times, I think it is a little
- 11:25Speaker 4: funny if it is randomly it regards to you next week,
- 11:29Speaker 4: but I don't think it will. They're doing a really
- 11:34Speaker 4: smart system right now, which is also making people mad,
- 11:38Speaker 4: but it's very smart where it's twenty four hours open,
- 11:42Speaker 4: twenty four hours closed, twenty four hours open, and it's
- 11:47Speaker 4: so they can instead of doing a whole, you know,
- 11:51Speaker 4: couple of weeks and trying to keep up with bugs
- 11:54Speaker 4: as they fled in, they'll do the twenty four hours open,
- 11:58Speaker 4: fix everything the next day, and then reopen it. And
- 12:02Speaker 4: it's been working pretty well so far. This week, the
- 12:07Speaker 4: card issues were basically solved after that first twenty four
- 12:12Speaker 4: hour period closed. I think now one of the weird
- 12:17Speaker 4: kinks is just around the exclusive cards and the limit
- 12:26Speaker 4: to how often you can print them, which is which
- 12:29Speaker 4: is a whole nother thing that people complain about and
- 12:32Speaker 4: get annoying about. But going back to the whole beta thing,
- 12:37Speaker 4: a lot of people act more entitled, like everything should
- 12:43Speaker 4: just work and they're there to get what they want
- 12:46Speaker 4: instead of it's for some of the data. Yeah, it's
- 12:51Speaker 4: part of being in the beta to know that there
- 12:53Speaker 4: will be bugs and to test it and then submit
- 12:56Speaker 4: tickets or give f youback. I don't know. Maybe I'm
- 13:00Speaker 4: biased because I actually do like paid testing on the side,
- 13:07Speaker 4: like for mobile games, console games, websites, all that kind
- 13:11Speaker 4: of stuff, So maybe maybe I'm just used to it.
- 13:15Speaker 4: But it works very well all things considered, and I
- 13:23Speaker 4: really enjoy the system so far. It works wonderful. It's revolutionary.
- 13:31Speaker 4: I really can't think of anything that compares even slightly
- 13:36Speaker 4: that I've used before, except for maybe the Steam Market.
- 13:42Speaker 4: But the Steam Market is kind of a whole different beast,
- 13:47Speaker 4: and I think I have to say that the Altered
- 13:51Speaker 4: Market is a little prettier and easier to Navigate, which
- 14:00Speaker 4: the team is much smaller than Valve as a company.
- 14:04Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean I would agree that it seems
- 14:10Speaker 5: to work very smoothly and everything works well, and it
- 14:13Speaker 5: looks pretty nice. It's a lot nicer than the trades
- 14:17Speaker 5: are in my experience, whenever I'm trying to get trade
- 14:19Speaker 5: with other people, I have to like squint to see
- 14:21Speaker 5: the cards, like they're too small. However, the trading system
- 14:24Speaker 5: is I would like an improvement there, But the marketplace
- 14:27Speaker 5: is great. You can see all the cards you want,
- 14:29Speaker 5: use all the search filters and everything, and find a
- 14:33Speaker 5: card in the price range that has the things that
- 14:35Speaker 5: you want on it. And yeah, I think the marketplace
- 14:39Speaker 5: is great. I do have kind of a complaint on
- 14:43Speaker 5: the fees kind of thing, both for printing the cards
- 14:47Speaker 5: and just buying and selling.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Do you have any thoughts on that call?
- 14:51Speaker 4: So are you referring to what the fees were previously
- 14:58Speaker 4: or did you read the new document?
- 15:01Speaker 5: So I'm pretty sure I'm the first one. There weren't
- 15:03Speaker 5: any fees for buying and selling cards, but I read
- 15:07Speaker 5: that now it's a five percent for all buying and selling.
- 15:11Speaker 5: And also just it's kind of deep cost to sell
- 15:15Speaker 5: your card to get your cards printed after you buy them,
- 15:19Speaker 5: and that seems to be a problem how expensive those
- 15:22Speaker 5: are and how you can't really do like bulk with
- 15:26Speaker 5: like group shipping and get multiple things shipped at once
- 15:30Speaker 5: to lower the shipping price, because right now it's like
- 15:32Speaker 5: a dollar card if you're only doing one pack of
- 15:34Speaker 5: twenty right.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Yeah, so that kind of goes back to and you
- 15:39Speaker 4: guys can definitely tell me if you've ever seen anything
- 15:45Speaker 4: like it, But I don't know if I've ever used
- 15:49Speaker 4: a system that is like this, and I don't know
- 15:53Speaker 4: if one has ever existed in a TCG.
- 15:57Speaker 5: So have you got well deforgchs deck reprinting deck reprinting. Yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 5: so you can get your deck reprinted. I think it's
- 16:06Speaker 5: twenty dollars, maybe thirty.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It's like thirty bucks.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's for a whole deck of thirty six cards.
- 16:14Speaker 5: So it's and the decks are one of a kind.
- 16:16Speaker 5: So it's also kind of a different thing than printing
- 16:18Speaker 5: out card by card. You aren't just going to reprint
- 16:21Speaker 5: decks willy nilly. You're only gonna print reprint like one
- 16:24Speaker 5: or two of your best decks.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Yeah, if you think about it, you kind of just
- 16:31Speaker 4: prove that it's the same cost or either one, because
- 16:36Speaker 4: what mean yeah, yeah, what people think is, oh, in
- 16:42Speaker 4: the office somewhere they just have you know, five hundred.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Al of AI.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Yeah, until they do have to reprint all the cards,
- 16:50Speaker 3: so it is it.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Is a reprint, So it's like printing a whole deck
- 16:55Speaker 4: and they package it into a booster of twenty back
- 17:00Speaker 4: of twenty. Now there are discounts for ordering more packs.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I think the most you can order right now is fifteen,
- 17:09Speaker 4: and I don't remember how low. I guess I could
- 17:12Speaker 4: pull up the document and make sure.
- 17:15Speaker 2: I mean, doesn't sound that bad. Yeah, maybe for commons
- 17:21Speaker 2: and uncommons.
- 17:23Speaker 5: Nobody's getting those printed, right, I mean maybe for there's
- 17:27Speaker 5: millions at your locals.
- 17:29Speaker 2: And I guess if there's a fee, like now, buying
- 17:34Speaker 2: commons is going and maybe even rares really is going
- 17:37Speaker 2: to be a problem.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yeah, so there is not a fee, I'll find it exactly.
- 17:44Speaker 4: So first, like upfront, there has to be a fee.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yes, there does, like there, I mean obviously time. Well,
- 17:54Speaker 2: I think that's just talking more about like the fee,
- 17:58Speaker 2: like a transaction fee, where not not so much reprinting,
- 18:01Speaker 2: but a transaction fee for trading in the marketplace. Yeah,
- 18:05Speaker 2: that's that's kind of what I got. You can tell
- 18:06Speaker 2: me if I'm wrong.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Yeah, so there is only a five percent fee to
- 18:17Speaker 4: the seller. There is no fee to the buyer, but.
- 18:21Speaker 2: That will that will.
- 18:25Speaker 3: It'll raise the price. Yeah, it's small action probably.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Isn't that much, but like what's a like Okay, so
- 18:34Speaker 2: for some of us who didn't buy, like I didn't
- 18:36Speaker 2: buy any right now trial by Frost, Right, I figured,
- 18:40Speaker 2: I just pick up what I need on the secondary market. Right,
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not rushing out to play in anything
- 18:49Speaker 2: anytime soon, so like, I just pick up commons as
- 18:52Speaker 2: I see fit, and I kind of you know, I
- 18:56Speaker 2: did that with Beyond the Gates, which was pretty seamless
- 19:01Speaker 2: and easy process, right, a little bit of a hiccup
- 19:05Speaker 2: because of obviously how the digital and the physical works,
- 19:09Speaker 2: but once I got it figured it out, it really
- 19:12Speaker 2: wasn't terrible. And then the second time I did it
- 19:14Speaker 2: was even easier. But like, who's going to want to
- 19:18Speaker 2: do rares and commons if it's like it's a five
- 19:21Speaker 2: percent fee, Like is it even worth it to do that? Then?
- 19:26Speaker 2: At that point, I guess.
- 19:29Speaker 4: I think a lot of people will, and they might
- 19:33Speaker 4: not always print them like what I've done, because I guess,
- 19:39Speaker 4: I guess I'm the only one that has access this week.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I so I was one.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Drack one Jack Frost short that I wanted in my deck,
- 19:53Speaker 4: and eighty percent of the time I'm playing on BGA.
- 19:56Speaker 4: So I just went and I bought a Jack Frost
- 20:03Speaker 4: rare on the market for like ninety cents or something
- 20:08Speaker 4: like that, and then I just threw it in my
- 20:11Speaker 4: deck and started playing. And then later on I traded
- 20:17Speaker 4: two more for ortiest ones from Simon, So now I
- 20:21Speaker 4: have three. Well, if I need to play them in person,
- 20:26Speaker 4: what I would more likely do than just print them
- 20:31Speaker 4: is I would print them in foil. And it's the
- 20:34Speaker 4: same cost for foil. There's no up charge for foil, which.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, no.
- 20:43Speaker 4: So I think how they've built it is a way
- 20:47Speaker 4: that it eats some of the costs in some of
- 20:52Speaker 4: the areas to benefit the consumer. So while if you did,
- 20:58Speaker 4: for some reason order a print on demand order of
- 21:02Speaker 4: twenty commons, which you should probably never do, but if
- 21:06Speaker 4: you did, yeah, but you shouldn't, you should just ask
- 21:13Speaker 4: or I will send you some.
- 21:15Speaker 2: But if you do, just trying to support my local, friendly,
- 21:19Speaker 2: local game store. Okay, my friendly not so local game store. Yeah.
- 21:24Speaker 4: I mean, if they sell singles, then buy it that way.
- 21:27Speaker 4: But I'm just talking about if you need to print
- 21:31Speaker 4: a common for some reason, I would not just print
- 21:35Speaker 4: twenty commons in a pack one or two. You might
- 21:39Speaker 4: balance out, you know, or just order them in foil,
- 21:41Speaker 4: unless you hate foils, which some people do.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Yeah, I will probably honestly get some foiled Common cards
- 21:49Speaker 5: if I like have my deck completely figured out, I
- 21:53Speaker 5: know all the commons that I need, I'll print a
- 21:55Speaker 5: set of twenty commons that are foiled to just get those.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:01Speaker 4: So the thing with fees is like always unfortunate, but
- 22:06Speaker 4: with how everything is set up nowadays, like everything has
- 22:10Speaker 4: a fee. So every time that someone uses.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Well, everything costs money. Yeah, don't forget that out they're
- 22:17Speaker 2: grown ups. Yeah, I just want to say, grown ups,
- 22:20Speaker 2: don't forget everything costs money. Everything that area breathing that
- 22:26Speaker 2: ain't free.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Not. Yeah, every time someone you know runs a credit card,
- 22:33Speaker 4: it costs equinox money. That's why sometimes you'll see stores
- 22:37Speaker 4: like have a five dollars limit, or there was a
- 22:41Speaker 4: period of time where Kroger like tried to say no
- 22:44Speaker 4: to a very specific brand of credit card, and it
- 22:48Speaker 4: did not work out well because people through a fit.
- 22:52Speaker 4: So there's there are fees, but I feel like they've
- 22:55Speaker 4: tried to soften them as much as possible. So the
- 23:00Speaker 4: the only other area you will see another fee in
- 23:06Speaker 4: is withdrawing the money that you've made out of equinox
- 23:12Speaker 4: into your like bank or whatever. And that is highly
- 23:18Speaker 4: dependent on what currency you have, where you're located, what
- 23:23Speaker 4: currency you're withdrawing, because one of the crazy things, and
- 23:28Speaker 4: this is regulatory, this is laws. But if you are
- 23:32Speaker 4: outside of the US and you're withdrawing in US dollars,
- 23:37Speaker 4: the fee is ten dollars. What, Yeah, it's it's because
- 23:42Speaker 4: it's like financial like stuff and currency like conversions and
- 23:49Speaker 4: all of that is so insane. That's a huge reason
- 23:52Speaker 4: that the market has taken longer. Well, if you're in
- 23:56Speaker 4: the US and you withdraw US dollars, the fees eighty cent, Okay.
- 24:02Speaker 3: For any amount that you withdraw I think so, but they're.
- 24:07Speaker 4: Yeah, there may be some limits right now just for
- 24:10Speaker 4: the beta. Well that's exactly what I was gonna say,
- 24:12Speaker 4: is a lot of companies will do scaling fees, like PayPal,
- 24:18Speaker 4: has pretty pretty bad fees in some places they have
- 24:22Speaker 4: a cap but like, yeah, so for the print on demand,
- 24:31Speaker 4: and this is this is really what blows my mind.
- 24:34Speaker 4: I don't know how they're doing it. I don't know
- 24:37Speaker 4: how much of a loss leader that shipping is gonna
- 24:42Speaker 4: be or what they're gonna eat on this. But for
- 24:47Speaker 4: right now, shipping costs are like flat and they give
- 24:51Speaker 4: you a discount for the more packs that you order,
- 24:55Speaker 4: which is going to way more. So you normally wouldn't
- 24:58Speaker 4: expect a discount on shipping, but they're trying to, you know,
- 25:05Speaker 4: lower fees as much as possible.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Well, and I think I'm gonna tell you, like cards
- 25:10Speaker 2: don't weigh that much.
- 25:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but I mean one pack versus fifteen packs
- 25:16Speaker 4: is going to have a weight difference in it.
- 25:17Speaker 2: It's gonna have a So here's a crazy thing about shipping. Okay,
- 25:21Speaker 2: are you guys ready for this? I do tons and
- 25:24Speaker 2: tons of shipping, right, tons and tons and tons and
- 25:27Speaker 2: tons of shipping. I work for a small company and
- 25:32Speaker 2: we handle all of our shipping in house. I means
- 25:34Speaker 2: every store handles kind of their own shipping.
- 25:37Speaker 4: Yep.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Obviously we go through a system right that like display
- 25:41Speaker 2: is the stuff. You know, here's what it's going to
- 25:42Speaker 2: cost you. But weird story, weight has a very little
- 25:49Speaker 2: factor on shipping. Everyone always thinks it's the weight that
- 25:53Speaker 2: is the big, the big piece on shipping. It's not.
- 25:57Speaker 2: It's actually size. Size has a much bigger fact on
- 26:02Speaker 2: shipping than anything else. So if you're shipping a pack
- 26:08Speaker 2: that is four by four by four, that's gonna be
- 26:12Speaker 2: pretty cheat right and it's and I can ship something
- 26:17Speaker 2: that's four by four by four that's five pounds, and
- 26:20Speaker 2: something that's four by four by four that's ten pounds,
- 26:24Speaker 2: and the shipping cost does not change that much. It
- 26:28Speaker 2: always goes by size of the package as opposed to
- 26:31Speaker 2: the weight of the package.
- 26:33Speaker 4: I feel like that's definitely a business look at it
- 26:36Speaker 4: because a reason a lot of consumers worry about weight
- 26:40Speaker 4: is because if you are just a solo person shipping something,
- 26:43Speaker 4: it does increase by weight. Because if I go to
- 26:48Speaker 4: the post office and I weigh something wrong and then
- 26:53Speaker 4: I put more stuff in, it's like boom, here's another
- 26:55Speaker 4: three dollars. But how often do you ship out of
- 27:00Speaker 4: the United States.
- 27:01Speaker 2: We don't ship out of the United States, so it's
- 27:03Speaker 2: always within the US. But I mean, like, like I said,
- 27:07Speaker 2: I've done shipped. I've shipped so much stuff over the
- 27:11Speaker 2: past five or seven years that I've worked there that
- 27:16Speaker 2: I mean, I can look at it and I can
- 27:17Speaker 2: literally ship the same size package and it doesn't matter
- 27:24Speaker 2: what the weight is, right, It's it's very menial. It
- 27:28Speaker 2: doesn't it doesn't have zero effect, but it's very menial.
- 27:31Speaker 2: But if I ship something in a small package it's
- 27:34Speaker 2: very heavy, it's gonna cost me significantly less than a
- 27:38Speaker 2: large package that is very light. Yeah, it's all about space.
- 27:44Speaker 2: How much how much ship can they put on the truck?
- 27:47Speaker 4: Yeah? For sure? How how much do you think it
- 27:51Speaker 4: would cost to get a pack of cards from Belgium?
- 27:55Speaker 2: Though that I don't know. It's time I shipped something.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Last time I shipped a Keyfarge deck internationally, I think
- 28:08Speaker 2: it was like ten bucks H's and that was a
- 28:12Speaker 2: key forge deck. So you're talking thirty six cards, you know, normal.
- 28:17Speaker 2: I think I just shipped it in a bubble mailer,
- 28:20Speaker 2: you know, not even in a box. I think I
- 28:23Speaker 2: want to say it was like seven to ten dollars.
- 28:26Speaker 2: The paperwork was more of a pain in the ass
- 28:28Speaker 2: than anything, because like the paperwork is just absolutely like
- 28:34Speaker 2: addresses overseas are very different than addresses in the United States.
- 28:40Speaker 2: I live in Wisconsin, in a part of Wisconsin that
- 28:45Speaker 2: still uses all the fire code addresses, so my address
- 28:49Speaker 2: still has an N and a W in it, so
- 28:53Speaker 2: like we actually use latitude and longitude addresses where I'm at.
- 28:59Speaker 2: You go further into the sticks into Wisconsin, it's even
- 29:02Speaker 2: worse because like just you know, try to put in
- 29:07Speaker 2: a highway ZZ into your Google Maps and see how
- 29:13Speaker 2: far you get. I'm gonna I'll give you a spoiler alert.
- 29:17Speaker 2: It's not far right, Like it's terrible right like or
- 29:21Speaker 2: county road j It's you know, because it all depends
- 29:25Speaker 2: on how you put it in. It's just terrible, absolutely horrid.
- 29:30Speaker 4: So with with these card packs, I think they're coming
- 29:34Speaker 4: from Belgium. Either way, they're coming from somewhere in the
- 29:37Speaker 4: European Union. Until they lock down how they really want
- 29:42Speaker 4: it to be, they're happy with the card quality, and
- 29:45Speaker 4: then I think next step is to get a printer
- 29:49Speaker 4: in the US, but that that is not the case yet.
- 29:53Speaker 4: I have no idea how they do this. But the
- 29:55Speaker 4: shipping costs are flat right now, so like I order
- 30:00Speaker 4: their one pack in you know, Texas, which is middle
- 30:03Speaker 4: of the United States, it was twelve seventy one. If
- 30:07Speaker 4: someone on the East Coast orders a pack, it's twelve
- 30:11Speaker 4: seventy one. Something in California orders a pack, it's twelve
- 30:16Speaker 4: seventy one, which you might think, okay, that is obviously,
- 30:21Speaker 4: you know, me in Texas being charged more than I
- 30:25Speaker 4: should be. But if you look at it and they
- 30:28Speaker 4: break it down here, the shipping price is eighteen dollars
- 30:35Speaker 4: to ship to the United States, and they give you
- 30:38Speaker 4: a thirty percent discount for one pack. If you order
- 30:41Speaker 4: eight packs, they give you a eighty percent discount on shipping,
- 30:46Speaker 4: and it's five dollars shipping. And this is UPS. This
- 30:50Speaker 4: is like three to five day shipping ups. It's not USPS.
- 30:57Speaker 4: I have no idea how they're doing it.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I have seen three to five days is pretty dang good.
- 31:04Speaker 4: Well, and for twelve dollars across the ocean, that is impressive.
- 31:12Speaker 4: And then getting down to five dollars for like fifteen packs.
- 31:18Speaker 4: I don't know how they're doing it. I'm sure they
- 31:22Speaker 4: figured out some way.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Like I said, you're talking about three to five days,
- 31:26Speaker 2: and they said three to five days, Yeah.
- 31:30Speaker 4: I think it's the market is down right now, because.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember which was somebody had said one
- 31:37Speaker 2: was cheaper than the other. So like when you go overseas,
- 31:40Speaker 2: you can either go buy boat or you can go
- 31:43Speaker 2: buy plane. Yeah, and one I remember some people were
- 31:47Speaker 2: upset and it was like, oh, oh, I think they
- 31:51Speaker 2: went by plane, which was actually taking longer than by boat.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, I know for whatever reason. So like
- 31:58Speaker 2: boat was faster, which I was actually kind of surprised that.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I was like, why is boat faster than you think
- 32:04Speaker 2: plane would be faster? Right, Like that's just like, yeah,
- 32:07Speaker 2: can you take a boat anymore?
- 32:09Speaker 3: You know?
- 32:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that's that's highly volatile, especially right now. Whenever, So,
- 32:15Speaker 4: I when I worked in tech, we had to deal
- 32:17Speaker 4: with shipping all the time because everything tech related is
- 32:20Speaker 4: made in like China or Vietnam or Singapore, so it
- 32:26Speaker 4: has to come from there to the United States. If
- 32:29Speaker 4: we really really wanted something to be to a company
- 32:33Speaker 4: on time, we had to air freight it. But I
- 32:40Speaker 4: think you can only air freight it and have it
- 32:43Speaker 4: be beneficial if the boat that originally took it from
- 32:48Speaker 4: you know, Vietnam to somewhere closer arrived with the product.
- 32:54Speaker 4: So it's shipping is a whole thing, and over the
- 32:57Speaker 4: last four years it's it's gotten worse than it's ever been.
- 33:03Speaker 4: The I shipped a first player token one of those
- 33:06Speaker 4: trial by Frost tokens to someone in Hungary. It cost
- 33:09Speaker 4: me nineteen dollars and it took a month and a
- 33:11Speaker 4: half to get there.
- 33:14Speaker 3: Yep, sounds about right.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:16Speaker 3: So, because you know I shipped key forged decks, I.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Wonder if they've got something going on with Asthma Day,
- 33:23Speaker 2: because they're with Asthma Day, right, So whether they got
- 33:28Speaker 2: like some sort of like oh we're getting some awesome
- 33:30Speaker 2: prices via Asthma Day, or if like somehow, some way
- 33:38Speaker 2: they're using something Asthma Day has to get it here.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I mean, five to seven days is lightning fast from overseas,
- 33:46Speaker 2: as crazy as it is to say, that's like so quick.
- 33:50Speaker 2: So I was when you said five to seven days.
- 33:52Speaker 2: I was like, really that's fast, like really fast.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Yep, that's real good.
- 33:59Speaker 4: So I think kart Mundy is the printer that's out
- 34:03Speaker 4: there in like Belgium or whatever. So I believe that's
- 34:07Speaker 4: who's doing all of the beta stuff and they've been
- 34:12Speaker 4: working closely with My only theory is like when you
- 34:17Speaker 4: have a big business account with like ups, the more
- 34:20Speaker 4: you ship, they're going to give you discounts. So they're
- 34:24Speaker 4: probably eating the cost in some areas and then maybe
- 34:29Speaker 4: some areas they'll you.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Know, well, I would assume like if they're doing because
- 34:34Speaker 2: I'm I'm my assumption at this point, is there a
- 34:37Speaker 2: lot of their shipping is going to be done more
- 34:43Speaker 2: European side?
- 34:47Speaker 4: Is that fair to say, more like more orders will
- 34:51Speaker 4: be placed in Europe?
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 34:53Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah for sure.
- 34:54Speaker 2: So I mean are they paying the same amount or
- 34:57Speaker 2: are they are they getting cheaper shipping?
- 34:59Speaker 4: They we have a whole breakdown of every country and
- 35:03Speaker 4: how much it costs the cheapest country for one pack
- 35:09Speaker 4: I think is I mean, obviously France, Belgium and Germany.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Do they just have a pickup system that I can just.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Go to the.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Yeah, what's really I mean, we could spend so much
- 35:23Speaker 4: time on shipping. But what's really interesting is Australia for
- 35:29Speaker 4: one or two packs, it's eighteen dollars shipping. That makes sense,
- 35:33Speaker 4: but they give you an eighty percent discount when you
- 35:37Speaker 4: hit three packs, so it's six dollars and forty seven cents,
- 35:42Speaker 4: and I think.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Shipping to Australia is a nightmare.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know why visions and like fees and
- 35:51Speaker 4: all sorts. I feel like Mandarin PJ did not read
- 35:58Speaker 4: this document because I'm pretty sure that they ordered one
- 36:02Speaker 4: pack and were shocked by the shipping costs. I was like, yeah,
- 36:06Speaker 4: that unfortunately, that actually just makes sense to me.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:12Speaker 2: The people who are usually shocked by shipping costs don't
- 36:15Speaker 2: ship anything, yep, you know. And then all of a sudden,
- 36:19Speaker 2: when you're like, oh, this is what it costs, you're like, oh,
- 36:21Speaker 2: that's not bad. And then the people who don't ship anything,
- 36:24Speaker 2: what do you mean is this terrible? That's outrageous. It's
- 36:27Speaker 2: like you've never shipped anything. Huh yeah that or you.
- 36:31Speaker 4: Just only you know, Amazon and other things have kind
- 36:34Speaker 4: of warped our brain. I have I have a friend
- 36:39Speaker 4: who has like a gaming apparel company and it's based
- 36:46Speaker 4: in the UK, and I can only order like something
- 36:52Speaker 4: from him once a year because of the shipping.
- 37:00Speaker 2: It's just do they not normally ship things to the
- 37:02Speaker 2: United States or well, it's just just.
- 37:05Speaker 4: In general, like if I buy from a company in
- 37:09Speaker 4: the US for a T shirt or something. My shipping
- 37:12Speaker 4: is probably like five to eight dollars, but when I'm
- 37:18Speaker 4: buying it from the UK, that's like thirteen dollars.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Now, okay, crazy thought here, right, we're in the United
- 37:26Speaker 2: States for the We do have a huge listenership overseas.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Not a real big shock there considering this game as
- 37:33Speaker 2: mostly played overseas. Do they say anything about tariff craziness
- 37:39Speaker 2: on all of this.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Yeah, so I've kind of been keeping up with it.
- 37:47Speaker 4: I haven't done like a deep dive, but spoiler alert,
- 37:54Speaker 4: tariffs are gonna be very, very bad for TCGs, and
- 37:59Speaker 4: the only TCGs that probably won't feel it are Magic
- 38:05Speaker 4: and Pokemon. That's that's key Ford.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Well key Ford just printed, just printed in Minnesota. See.
- 38:17Speaker 4: But that doesn't even matter though if you think about it.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Companies that make everything in the US are still going
- 38:23Speaker 4: to be affected because either people will order outside of
- 38:27Speaker 4: the US or maybe they'll get some filament or something
- 38:32Speaker 4: from somewhere. Like the tariffs are so broad that they
- 38:36Speaker 4: are going to just rush, like you know, They're going
- 38:40Speaker 4: to be bad.
- 38:40Speaker 3: For the materials. Yeahs for printing and stuff.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Again and key Forge because there I will reasons. Yeah,
- 38:51Speaker 2: all they sort of saw. I get a feeling like
- 38:54Speaker 2: somebody goes to Kinko's with the store credit card and
- 38:56Speaker 2: just buys a whole bunch of shit. That's kind of
- 38:59Speaker 2: the the the vibe I get for key Forge, but
- 39:01Speaker 2: obviously not so much for this. But that was like,
- 39:05Speaker 2: it was kind of like sitting here the question, I'm like,
- 39:07Speaker 2: you know, we're going unto this print on demand. Yeah,
- 39:11Speaker 2: I don't know how shipping is going to be. Are
- 39:13Speaker 2: these going to be ah, because I mean it's a
- 39:18Speaker 2: print on demand. Would these I don't even know if
- 39:23Speaker 2: these would be terrifable. That's I don't even know if
- 39:26Speaker 2: that's the word.
- 39:26Speaker 3: I mean, there are products that we order from overseas.
- 39:31Speaker 2: True.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I think when you realize that the tariffs were
- 39:37Speaker 4: decided by AI and they also are tariffing islands that
- 39:41Speaker 4: are only inhabiteds.
- 39:46Speaker 3: This is true. This is the thing that happened.
- 39:48Speaker 4: I'm not being facetious. It's it's actually like real news.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Now we're going to get a whole bunch of hate mail.
- 39:56Speaker 2: You fucking lib tards over there playing all. It's like, no, no,
- 40:01Speaker 2: we're just we're just talking about you know, real life,
- 40:04Speaker 2: not a big deal news, horror pies are being tariffed.
- 40:11Speaker 4: The worst thing you can call me is a liberal,
- 40:15Speaker 4: So definitely don't do that because I am not a liberal.
- 40:19Speaker 2: He's a Texan.
- 40:21Speaker 4: I'm I am a leftist and got guns. But yeah,
- 40:31Speaker 4: the switch, like preorders have already been affected in the US,
- 40:34Speaker 4: Like it's a mess, so I we'll see, we'll see.
- 40:38Speaker 4: I have not heard anything on the altered side, but
- 40:40Speaker 4: I would be very surprised if it is not hit
- 40:44Speaker 4: in some way because when I saw we were talking
- 40:47Speaker 4: about this week, I was like, what poor timing?
- 40:50Speaker 3: Yeah, all the terriffs.
- 40:54Speaker 2: How how couldn't have gotten much worse at that point?
- 40:59Speaker 4: You know? So just as just as an example, the
- 41:02Speaker 4: company that makes a Zomba.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Sidekay, it's a board game, yeah, okay, actually it's a
- 41:11Speaker 2: pretty boss ass board game. But beyond that, okay, Yeah.
- 41:15Speaker 4: That company was going through a hard time starting at
- 41:19Speaker 4: the end of twenty twenty three and they were maybe
- 41:23Speaker 4: going to survive it. And I literally today read a
- 41:26Speaker 4: report about how the tariffs will probably kill the company
- 41:30Speaker 4: and not enable them to get out of like the
- 41:33Speaker 4: debt they were in.
- 41:35Speaker 2: So that's crazy.
- 41:37Speaker 4: That's how it can affect like board games and TCGs
- 41:40Speaker 4: and stuff. But do you want to play a game dexter?
- 41:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 41:45Speaker 2: Maybe, all right?
- 41:47Speaker 4: I pasted this Snowball Commando in here. It's a unique
- 41:51Speaker 4: is that you printed, uh not printed. I bought this card.
- 41:56Speaker 4: I want to read. You want to read down the car.
- 42:01Speaker 2: So it's a Snowball Commando two from hand, two from reserve,
- 42:06Speaker 2: three zero one when played from anywhere in my expedition.
- 42:10Speaker 2: If my expedition is behind, you may exhaust target card
- 42:13Speaker 2: and reserve quick action the next card you play. This
- 42:16Speaker 2: turn costs one less.
- 42:19Speaker 4: So yes, if you know Snowball Commando, it's usually a
- 42:26Speaker 4: double sided exhaust where you, as the opponent, have a
- 42:32Speaker 4: chance to exhaust me back depending on what I roll.
- 42:36Speaker 4: This is just straight up as long as I'm behind
- 42:39Speaker 4: in an expedition where I play it so I can
- 42:42Speaker 4: kind of stretch he strategically choose. I get to exhaust
- 42:46Speaker 4: a card in your reserve, and then the quick action
- 42:50Speaker 4: is very fucking good. Reducing quick action two manna from
- 42:56Speaker 4: both hand and reserve pretty good. Stats are all right,
- 43:02Speaker 4: A three, yeah, a three on nature forest whatever, It
- 43:09Speaker 4: could be pretty good. So the question is for the
- 43:13Speaker 4: audience and you can guess you can leave a comment
- 43:16Speaker 4: and then say, when I tell you the price, you
- 43:18Speaker 4: can say if you were right or wrong, how much
- 43:22Speaker 4: do you think I paid for this unique on the
- 43:26Speaker 4: official marketplace.
- 43:27Speaker 3: I'm gonna guess six dollars, all right, we ki.
- 43:32Speaker 2: What is your guess you took? I'll go seven dollars.
- 43:40Speaker 4: All right? Anyone in the audience, or when you listen
- 43:45Speaker 4: to this back, you can put it in the comment section. Yeah, yeah,
- 43:52Speaker 4: you gotta. You gotta enter the comment before you hear
- 43:55Speaker 4: time stamp it. I feel like Dexter has a good
- 44:00Speaker 4: idea of the price difference from the official market to Discord.
- 44:05Speaker 4: So I guess the follow up question is how much
- 44:08Speaker 4: do you think someone would try to sell this for
- 44:10Speaker 4: on Discord? Dexter? Okay, that's fair. I paid five dollars
- 44:15Speaker 4: for it.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Yep.
- 44:19Speaker 4: I think that's a very good.
- 44:22Speaker 3: I think that's solid. Yeah. I like the card rhymes
- 44:27Speaker 3: the little body, and you can also quick action to
- 44:31Speaker 3: play more stuff.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Yep.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Pretty cool.
- 44:34Speaker 4: Yep.
- 44:35Speaker 2: So, so you think the marketplace right now is good
- 44:38Speaker 2: or bad for I mean it's obviously good for the players, right,
- 44:42Speaker 2: I mean you said five bucks or what did you say? Five?
- 44:45Speaker 2: You said five? Right?
- 44:47Speaker 4: So I think the only people that the market is
- 44:52Speaker 4: bad for are people who have inflated their unique pricing
- 44:57Speaker 4: and made the market out of control.
- 45:01Speaker 3: I don't think that they can sell cards for that much.
- 45:04Speaker 5: Now they will realize that they are probably worth like
- 45:07Speaker 5: less than half what they thought.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Yeah, so I think it's very good. Some people in
- 45:15Speaker 4: regards to looking for uniques have complained about not having
- 45:20Speaker 4: exact card text search. I believe that is a feature
- 45:26Speaker 4: that's intended to come out in the future.
- 45:30Speaker 3: But.
- 45:32Speaker 4: While we're in beta, Like, I'm not saying that that's
- 45:35Speaker 4: not a valid request, Like, hopefully that's a thing someday,
- 45:38Speaker 4: because just more ways to search the better. But while
- 45:41Speaker 4: in beta, it is very easy to find what you're
- 45:45Speaker 4: looking for, because all you do is I'm looking for
- 45:49Speaker 4: a unique for Muna. So on the filter, I click muna,
- 45:53Speaker 4: I click unique as the rarity. And then most often
- 45:58Speaker 4: when people are looking for you N, they're going to
- 46:01Speaker 4: have a sum in cost limit, so you can then
- 46:05Speaker 4: filter by some in costs, so I can go, uh,
- 46:08Speaker 4: in muna, I want to at most have three hand costs,
- 46:14Speaker 4: and then if I don't want to limit it to
- 46:16Speaker 4: hand cost, I can scroll down instead and go to
- 46:19Speaker 4: keyword hmm, I want a eternal, you know, unique, and
- 46:28Speaker 4: then hit submit. What I do after that is I
- 46:33Speaker 4: then just I have a price limit in my head
- 46:35Speaker 4: as well. I swort by price, and I only look
- 46:38Speaker 4: at the ones I can afford, yep, and it's it's
- 46:41Speaker 4: literally like two pages at most, and then I just
- 46:44Speaker 4: click through them and boila, it's it's.
- 46:48Speaker 2: Very good.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Yep.
- 46:52Speaker 5: So being able to search by price and then all
- 46:54Speaker 5: the kind of strength you want is super cool to
- 46:57Speaker 5: get the cards that you want, especially for uniques.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Sometimes I feel like stuff like this. People also don't
- 47:02Speaker 2: realize how hard that would be to code, Like to
- 47:06Speaker 2: code specific text would be incredibly difficult. Yeah, Like that
- 47:13Speaker 2: means somebody now has to go through what's.
- 47:17Speaker 3: That arkan arkana does it? I don't know how they
- 47:20Speaker 3: do they do it.
- 47:21Speaker 2: They don't do it like that, not quite.
- 47:24Speaker 3: You can sort cards by text that it has.
- 47:29Speaker 4: But okay, here's here's the difference is people want to
- 47:35Speaker 4: be able to enter an exact phrase like that isn't
- 47:39Speaker 4: a keyword, so see if I can find.
- 47:44Speaker 2: The next card you play a cross one last?
- 47:47Speaker 4: Yeah, like they want to search just that phrase and
- 47:50Speaker 4: then see all the uniques that contain that. Is it possible?
- 47:55Speaker 2: It's possible, but holy Christ, are you going to have
- 47:58Speaker 2: to pay a pay a developer or you know, programmer
- 48:03Speaker 2: a kajillion fucking dollars to do that? I mean, now
- 48:06Speaker 2: you have to have them figure out every possible set
- 48:10Speaker 2: of keywords, which I suppose is probably somewhere in their algorithm, right,
- 48:15Speaker 2: like they know which ones are allowed to be out
- 48:17Speaker 2: there and which ones aren't. So I guess maybe it's
- 48:20Speaker 2: not as difficult as I thought. But now somebody's gotta
- 48:23Speaker 2: program that so that that comes into like a textbox,
- 48:26Speaker 2: and I suppose they want to type it in right,
- 48:28Speaker 2: like they just don't want to drop down.
- 48:30Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, because that's already a drop down for keywords.
- 48:33Speaker 2: Yeah yeah that I mean if it was a dropdown
- 48:36Speaker 2: like all one similar to this, you know, like if
- 48:40Speaker 2: there was a dropdown for costs one less or you know,
- 48:43Speaker 2: like ones that were known, Yeah, that's that's gonna be.
- 48:47Speaker 2: So it's it's it's like our buddy Drascore always said,
- 48:52Speaker 2: who's a computer programmer? Anything in computers as possible. It
- 48:56Speaker 2: just depends on how much you want to spend to
- 48:58Speaker 2: do a thing. Yeah, because again nothing's free, people, That
- 49:03Speaker 2: thing is free, and all that programming that you want
- 49:08Speaker 2: costs money. So if you don't want it to cost
- 49:11Speaker 2: you seventeen dollars in a transaction fee, maybe don't request
- 49:16Speaker 2: ridiculous things.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Yeah, right, right now, all the keywords you can sort
- 49:23Speaker 4: by fleeting, anchored, boosted, eternal time.
- 49:26Speaker 2: And that makes sense because there are a ton of
- 49:28Speaker 2: cards that have that. I mean, that's those are pretty
- 49:30Speaker 2: standard keywords. But the next card you play costs one less.
- 49:35Speaker 2: That's that's gonna be a little more intensive.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Yeah, what was the what was the exact one you wanted?
- 49:42Speaker 5: Dexter repeating abilities like at dusk when a character you
- 49:49Speaker 5: control intersplay, when a character you control gains a boost,
- 49:54Speaker 5: stuff on uniques that whenever something happens, I get to
- 49:57Speaker 5: do a whole bunch of cool stuff like anchoring cards,
- 50:01Speaker 5: boosting more cards, making bugs, making or dis recruits, returning
- 50:06Speaker 5: a card from your discard.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Pile to your hand. I think, yeah, I think for now,
- 50:11Speaker 3: the reserve your hands. Sorry.
- 50:14Speaker 4: The way that I have put out there on how
- 50:16Speaker 4: to look up uniques if you get access to the market,
- 50:18Speaker 4: is a really good solution for now, they have said,
- 50:22Speaker 4: And I don't know if it's still a plan, because
- 50:24Speaker 4: it is a huge undertaking. It's basically like creating Google
- 50:28Speaker 4: within you know, the altered database, and it's only going
- 50:31Speaker 4: to be harder. They have said it's something that I
- 50:35Speaker 4: want to do in the future or at least better
- 50:38Speaker 4: than it is now. But the you know, the market
- 50:43Speaker 4: is a huge undertaking, and there are a lot of
- 50:46Speaker 4: filters and sorting available, so I would definitely use that.
- 50:52Speaker 4: There's the people who were like, I don't have time
- 50:54Speaker 4: to go through eight pages of uniques, and then there
- 50:57Speaker 4: was one guy who, like, thirty minutes later, it was like,
- 51:00Speaker 4: I just looked through every single page of uniques on
- 51:03Speaker 4: the market and it only took me four hours. Wow,
- 51:08Speaker 4: I'm like people, so to be fair, this was the
- 51:13Speaker 4: second day, so it was more than a hundred. I
- 51:17Speaker 4: just I just loved that someone just came in and
- 51:19Speaker 4: said that, like, it didn't take me that long. I
- 51:22Speaker 4: just looked through every single unique.
- 51:26Speaker 2: I did that person. I did it on a part
- 51:28Speaker 2: time shift.
- 51:31Speaker 4: Yeah shoot, yeah. I kind of wish we were on
- 51:35Speaker 4: an on cycle as well, so I could have you
- 51:37Speaker 4: guys test, like, give me something and I would look.
- 51:43Speaker 4: But I I looked up uniques for other people like
- 51:47Speaker 4: in the community. They asked me like, I'm looking for this,
- 51:50Speaker 4: can you look for it? And I didn't. I didn't
- 51:53Speaker 4: have too much of a hard time at all. I
- 51:58Speaker 4: put another question, did we print anything? I did. I'm
- 52:04Speaker 4: more of a chaotic person, so it's not like the
- 52:09Speaker 4: print order made a ton of sense. It was just
- 52:12Speaker 4: me foiling certain cards that I play a lot, like Dracanas,
- 52:20Speaker 4: I think Hydras, just to have them rare spindle Bashian
- 52:26Speaker 4: and I did it mainly just so I could test it.
- 52:31Speaker 4: What are what are things what he wants to print?
- 52:34Speaker 4: Like thirty magpen quarters right.
- 52:37Speaker 2: Yep, yes, yeah, I want all the Magpie horders, best
- 52:42Speaker 2: card in the game.
- 52:45Speaker 4: What are you wanting to print? Dexter no.
- 52:51Speaker 5: Cards specifically, I would probably want to foil out all
- 52:55Speaker 5: of the good uniques that I have, But there's a
- 52:58Speaker 5: problem there, see, because I don't have any good uniques.
- 53:03Speaker 5: So I would probably go on the market, buy a
- 53:05Speaker 5: couple of solid uniques from Moona since that's what I'm
- 53:08Speaker 5: playing right now, get those foiled, and print out the
- 53:12Speaker 5: rest of my current deck build that would be foiled.
- 53:16Speaker 5: That I would of course want to have the deck
- 53:19Speaker 5: build pretty solidified. So right now, I'm like kind of
- 53:22Speaker 5: unsure of some of the choices I've made in my deck,
- 53:25Speaker 5: not sure if it's doing what I wanted to do.
- 53:27Speaker 5: And I don't have great uniques, so I wouldn't do
- 53:29Speaker 5: it now, but in the future that would be something
- 53:31Speaker 5: that I would look at doing. So get a full
- 53:33Speaker 5: foiled out deck that I like.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Nice.
- 53:39Speaker 4: We also have another issue that we're both going to
- 53:42Speaker 4: run into. When you want to go foil a bunch
- 53:47Speaker 4: of uniques, we.
- 53:50Speaker 3: Don't have any unique foilers.
- 53:53Speaker 4: Yeah, because I get away awesome. I just.
- 53:59Speaker 3: I think I have a few.
- 54:00Speaker 4: Actually, I have a bunch, yeah, So if you do,
- 54:04Speaker 4: like in the ten range back in I think I
- 54:09Speaker 4: started it in season two. I started a bonus star
- 54:15Speaker 4: for the weekly Ace event, and I predetermined some weird
- 54:22Speaker 4: thing like how Mario party does like something random or stupid,
- 54:27Speaker 4: and whoever won that star got a unique boiler. I
- 54:31Speaker 4: gave away all of mine and ran out, so then
- 54:34Speaker 4: Dexter gave me like nine, and then I ran out
- 54:38Speaker 4: of all of those.
- 54:39Speaker 2: I was like.
- 54:41Speaker 4: Thirteen, damn. Oh yeah.
- 54:43Speaker 5: I opened a few in uh what's it called the
- 54:49Speaker 5: promo packs. Those had a lot of unique boilers for me,
- 54:52Speaker 5: and I also just opened to two boxes of kickstarters,
- 54:55Speaker 5: so I got another like seven unique foilers just now.
- 55:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I forgot.
- 55:01Speaker 3: Uniques from that box.
- 55:02Speaker 5: I got a foiled Loki and a foiled Athena that
- 55:06Speaker 5: are both pretty cool cards, but no super chase uniques
- 55:10Speaker 5: that I was looking for.
- 55:11Speaker 4: What's crazy is those Loki uniques are pricey? Did you post?
- 55:18Speaker 4: Oh you did?
- 55:19Speaker 3: I posted mine?
- 55:20Speaker 4: Yeah, that one I bet you could get.
- 55:22Speaker 3: I mean, how well looks actually pretty solid for a
- 55:25Speaker 3: Loki unique, like I'm runnable in a deck.
- 55:28Speaker 4: No, I'm not sure if they're actually selling, but Loki
- 55:33Speaker 4: uniques were anywhere from like fifty to one hundred and
- 55:36Speaker 4: fifty dollars this week.
- 55:37Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 55:39Speaker 3: So are all of them foiled? Is that how it
- 55:41Speaker 3: would work in the Kickstarter?
- 55:44Speaker 4: I think the art is different.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it different yep, yes, yes, and they all come.
- 55:49Speaker 4: Foiled if it's that different art. Yes, yes, because I
- 55:55Speaker 4: think you can get a regular Loki and then it
- 55:59Speaker 4: wouldn't be foiled from the Kickstarter. But I could be wrong,
- 56:03Speaker 4: but I don't think so.
- 56:04Speaker 3: I think it's guaranteed. The alternate art, I don't know.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Have four unique boilers. So you're welcome.
- 56:13Speaker 3: You need three.
- 56:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you're you're welcome. Community in altered corner. I sacrifice
- 56:20Speaker 4: for you.
- 56:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so make sure you hit the U, hit the
- 56:25Speaker 2: subscribe or follow or whatever it is, whatever button that is. Yeah,
- 56:29Speaker 2: we're on our We're on our way to the sixty
- 56:31Speaker 2: eighth best altered.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Forty. We're forty fifth.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Now I told you, Oh we're forty fifth.
- 56:38Speaker 3: We're just taking that number.
- 56:40Speaker 2: You don't know rand, right, But.
- 56:44Speaker 4: Did you see the gift that I posted after?
- 56:49Speaker 3: Yes, but I forgot what it was.
- 56:52Speaker 4: But yeah, the market is super cool. I like it
- 56:56Speaker 4: a lot. I think it's very revolutionary. They've done a
- 57:00Speaker 4: great job. The last question I had here is are
- 57:05Speaker 4: there any improvements we would like to see in full
- 57:08Speaker 4: release besides the search function?
- 57:12Speaker 3: Because yeah, search function?
- 57:15Speaker 2: Will I lie to you? That's search fine?
- 57:18Speaker 3: The other day, Yeah, I was. I think I was
- 57:24Speaker 3: the one that literally brought up the topic.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I said, it's been mentioned too much already, So
- 57:29Speaker 4: don't mention that.
- 57:32Speaker 2: That search functionality is like a bridge too far, like
- 57:36Speaker 2: people asking for that, like I guess don't know how
- 57:39Speaker 2: computers work.
- 57:41Speaker 3: People have been abst asked. But it's still a good
- 57:44Speaker 3: function to have that would be super useful for all
- 57:46Speaker 3: of us.
- 57:47Speaker 2: It would be a useful function. But oh my goodness,
- 57:50Speaker 2: would that be an expensive function? I mean it's just wow,
- 57:56Speaker 2: it's something like that.
- 58:00Speaker 4: What would you like to see on full release of
- 58:04Speaker 4: the Marketplace?
- 58:07Speaker 5: I would like to get into the beta first to
- 58:09Speaker 5: see where you are. But I think everything's good right now. Honestly,
- 58:14Speaker 5: I can't think of any great improvements. I mean, always
- 58:18Speaker 5: just updating the UI to make it look nicer is good.
- 58:23Speaker 5: But it's solid where it is at now. I can
- 58:25Speaker 5: see all the cards, navigate through everything I want. Just
- 58:29Speaker 5: make it look prettier, I guess it. All functionality seems
- 58:34Speaker 5: to work good, and they'll get all the bugs figured out, Like,
- 58:37Speaker 5: that's not really features ready to add fixing the bugs, Like, yeah,
- 58:44Speaker 5: the UI is very well done already.
- 58:47Speaker 4: Yeah, so the improvements when they happen will be nice.
- 58:50Speaker 4: Like did you see the foil improvement? Like when you've
- 58:53Speaker 4: unlocked the foil rights to a card?
- 58:57Speaker 3: No, but the foiled cards that I have glow and yellow.
- 59:01Speaker 4: So yeah, yeah, that's like a new feature within the
- 59:04Speaker 4: last month.
- 59:05Speaker 3: I like it.
- 59:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it's great for sure. You've mentioned one thing earlier
- 59:11Speaker 4: and I forgot to talk about it. You mentioned wanting
- 59:15Speaker 4: to like bulk order or things like that.
- 59:17Speaker 3: Yes, so is that what these stores are for.
- 59:21Speaker 4: Yeah, that is planned. We don't have very much information
- 59:25Speaker 4: on it yet because they want to get this finished
- 59:28Speaker 4: and out. But the idea is, first, of course, they
- 59:33Speaker 4: want to have a printer in the US last I heard.
- 59:35Speaker 4: At least second, there will be stores that are able
- 59:40Speaker 4: to be like order pickup stores, and so you can
- 59:47Speaker 4: probably submit an order of cards.
- 59:49Speaker 3: To them and they can and they shoot it to
- 59:53Speaker 3: equinox and then do a big bulk order.
- 59:55Speaker 4: Yep, yep, so that it's cheaper for you, cheaper for everybody,
- 59:59Speaker 4: and then you just pick it up from your LGS.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: So yeah, that sounds great.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: That should that should help. Why one improvement and this
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: I don't really have any improvements that are like this
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: has to happen or I really want this to happen,
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: but l e Oh mentioned a feature that would be
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: really cool is if you could submit buy orders on cards,
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: so much like you can on Steam Market. Like if
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: I want to buy something on the Steam Market for
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: a set price, I'll submit a buy order saying like
- 1:00:34Speaker 4: oh okay, thirty five cents for this and as soon
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: as someone lists.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: It for that, it'll automatically buy it.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that's like high in the sky feature. Though it
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: would be cool.
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: I just to be like whenever anyone lists a unique
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: that costs one that is this card that don't.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: Think I think wouldn't work it.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Well, I just for.
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: Commons.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that would still be an incredible feature.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I think if it doesn't happen though.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Nearly completely, but it's as good as it is. That's
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: a way over the top feature.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Alrighty, so let's move let's move forward here. What do
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: you say.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: To read?
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to make an executive decision. We're skipping
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: the lart tidbits this week. We're running We're running a
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: little long in a tooth this week. So so we're
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: gonna move into the Patreon questions. Draconis likes to ask questions,
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: a few too many questions.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Ever too many.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: In a game you've played on a single round, Oh,
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: in a game you played on a single round has
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: made you go wow? So I'm guessing in a game
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: that you've played, has there ever been a single round
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: that has made you go wow?
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: So I have a great example for the from this
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: for from a long time ago, back when Waru was
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: the big bad guy.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: I went up against a deck on BGA WAU.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: Who's that?
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: You remember that?
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: That old guy that had a weasel in its ear,
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: that had this robin Hood, guy that made everyone's cards
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: more expensive?
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Never heard of her? Okay?
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: Well anyways, back on on board game Arena, in like
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: the first few weeks of the game, I got triple
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: text and that's just wow. That is the definition of wow.
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: Right there, they had three robin Hoods on the board.
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: Every card I play now costs three more.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: So that was fun. That was that was a great
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: time there in its glory days.
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Was that what the highlight I made was over.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: What was the highlight that you made? It was about
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: me losing on time because Z set up the tournament wrong.
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: Oh I did?
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: That was what that highlight was. I don't remember why
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: I made the highlight that you made of me that
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: was like titled Dexter or something or other.
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: Was literally me about to win a game, like it
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: was one or two clicks away from me winning the match,
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: and then it hit the time cap and I lost
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: on time. Z set up the tournament wrong and only
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: gave me fifteen minutes.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that was a That was a funny.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: That was a great tournament. That was that was crazy.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: It didn't give you fifteen minutes, gave both people together fifteen.
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: Oh yeah. I believe their name on is J Smith Fallen.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: If I remember any parts wrong, it's because I keep
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: forgetting to go back and clip it. I think it
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: was in a wall, uh maybe a week not this week,
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: but the week before. I was playing against them and
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: they were on RAC and oh my god, they had
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: the best ROC triggers. At one point they had like
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: a hydra out and then freaking cast mind apothesis got
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: another hydra and just like all this crazy shit. And
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: the next turn they did mind apothesis again and they
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: got a khaibara and I was like, oh my god,
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: what is happening?
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: And then they probably got a flip from the RAC
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: a few times.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: It was. It was very cool. It's all on the
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: a Wall on YouTube. I think one of the Wednesdays somewhere,
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: if you watch those on YouTube, it was.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: It was very good.
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: I enjoyed it.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: You got anything wiki, I really don't. I wish I did.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: I haven't had any wowl moments. I'm sure I did,
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: but remembering them is another story short on brain cells
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: at ten o'clock at night. Another one from draconis if
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: there was a movie adaptation of Altered, would it be
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: better live action, animated or combo? What story should they
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: focus on?
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: So I immediately just x out live action in my mind.
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: Really, I think there's yeah.
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: I just don't think there's any reason to try. It
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: would take a huge budget to pull off gilt.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but I'm saying like live action is always best, right,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: But yeah, it's gonna take a huge budget.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: How to Train Dragon?
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Come on?
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: What are they doing with that?
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: I think, honest with you, I haven't seen it, so
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: I can't talk much about it.
- 1:06:19Speaker 4: I don't think it's come out yet. Well, the live action,
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: I think, Look, he hasn't seen any of them.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Oh no, I've seen the How to Train Your Dragons?
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: Oh yeah, there's a live action trailer you can go.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: No, no, I know, I haven't seen a live action
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: version yet. I've seen the cartoons. Like if you're going
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: for like cheap but best story, like absolutely, it's it's
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: gonna be Uh, it's gonna be like animated or like
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: I don't know what you want to even call it,
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: Like God, don't almost like like more adult Pixar. I
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: don't really know what that's called.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: I don't think there's a world where I would prefer
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: Altered being a live action movie. I would go animated,
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: and I would want the team that has worked on
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: the Spider versus animated films. Yes, and I think the
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: colors and just different things would lend really well if
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: they would. Yeah, if they used there because like for
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: those movies, they developed like revolutionary technology on the first
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: one and then just kept doing it. I think they
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: could do some really cool stuff just with how they
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: do it or you know, like arcane, very very good
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: styles of animation. I think that'd be super cool story.
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: I think really just as you know, far as they
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: want to get like beyond the Gates into Tildbye Frost.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Tell me, the best way you do it, right is
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: whatever story like you got coming up next, like the
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: tie in, right, so, like whatever story you're gonna tell us,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: like right now we're going into the maze, right so
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: right now, like the best story would be like, oh,
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: what's the maze? And then you've got the tie in
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: with what's you know with the gout, you know, go
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: join your local play in the Tumult Championships and you know,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: whatever the story is you're going into next, you know,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: tie that in to whatever movie is coming out. You know,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: you'd have to time that. But I don't think that's
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: that hard. George Lucas did it for like thirty years, so.
- 1:08:48Speaker 4: Yep, yeah, I I will say there is I think
- 1:08:53Speaker 4: maybe one single live action movie that I really enjoyed
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: that I don't think think ever had any right going
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: live action, and that is the Warcraft Movie. And you know,
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: whatever like super duper Wow nerds say about like the
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: storyline and what may have been changed, I don't care.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: That movie was very good.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: All the actors you made that movie live action.
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: Yeah, you've never seen the Warcraft movie.
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: No, it's look like a little bit of Wow too.
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: Probably doesn't know what Wow is.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, and the thing is is it's not the
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Wow movie. It is Warcraft. Okay, they kind of you know,
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: I mean, Warcraft loar over two games and including Wow,
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: has just a fuck ton of history, so they kind
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: of you know, mix things a little here. But it
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: was very good, like and the only reason the movie
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: was successful was because China loved it, but it did
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: not do as well here though they never did a
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: follow up. The director, I think his name something Moon
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: very good director too, but yeah, it was very well done.
- 1:10:19Speaker 4: I would I would just probably rather go like into
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: the Spider Verse style, uh movie, if I if I
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: were picking, Yeah, I think.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: Spider Verse is a super good pick.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: Alrighty, So wrapping it up here. Te Mault, Champion CGG
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: April twelfth, Agus April twenty six, and Rooted Games on
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: May third. I'm guessing those are all places in Texas.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Yes, those are our Texas tumults. I have heard that
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: Wonkos is maybe working on something same with Game Nerds,
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: but nothing has been locked in for either of those.
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: If you are considering going to one in Houston, I
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: am going to try my best to make it to
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: one of them, and I feel like I'm going to
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: have to apologize to Julio because it might end up
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: being the Rooted Games one, but we'll see or trying to, Yeah,
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: trying to coordinate with some of the Dallas people so
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: that like we all go to the same one, but
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: maybe we won't. We'll see. But April twelfth to April
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: twenty sixth is also a smaller gap, so it just depends.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: But yeah, Texas Tumults, I'm stoked to see how they go.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: Definitely show up and represent your infection.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Yep, for sure. I should be at both Rooted games
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: and ages. Blame Moon right now.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: And don't forget, guys, Patreons are getting the episodes early.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: So if we are listening to this right now, thank
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: you for being a Patreon. Cole has here Saturday question mark.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: It's possible.
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: All all you have to do is remember to throw
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: the file in the folder and I'll get it up.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Yep. And Altered dot com has t malt tag altered
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: corn I'm sorry. Altercorner dot Com has t malt tag.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: Yes, so if you go into the events on our website,
- 1:12:34Speaker 4: altered dot com, you will be able to click a
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: tag that says tumult and get to the information for
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: the ones in Texas.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Ah makes sense, makes sense, makes sense. But that's gonna
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: do it for us this week. Guys. We'll see you
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: all next week later.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: Son Seal frequent.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: Than as
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Fire of good Bye
