- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simon.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Show on seven tenor.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Hey, we got a lot to get to this hour.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Prince Andrew, as you know, was arrested like seven hours ago,
- 0:16Speaker 1: eight hours apparently he is still in custody as we speak.
- 0:20Speaker 1: He remains in custody and police are searching his residences.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I guess they're going through his computers. Oh my god,
- 0:28Speaker 1: could you mention what's on this guy's computer? This is
- 0:33Speaker 1: not going to go well for him. They're looking through
- 0:35Speaker 1: documents there. There are also a lot of people who
- 0:40Speaker 1: are saying that this guy's going to be in real
- 0:43Speaker 1: trouble Prince Andrew, and if they seize his computers and
- 0:45Speaker 1: look at his Google searches and what porn sites he
- 0:49Speaker 1: was on and this is it's going to be very
- 0:51Speaker 1: bad for him. So he's going to find himself in
- 0:54Speaker 1: major trouble, facing prison. Most people say that know him say,
- 0:58Speaker 1: this is a guy who will squeez'll talk, do anything
- 1:01Speaker 1: to get out of trouble, make a deal. He will
- 1:03Speaker 1: turn people in left and right. Who knows what he
- 1:07Speaker 1: knows and what he can trade. But this is going
- 1:09Speaker 1: to get very very interesting, you know, cops are you know,
- 1:15Speaker 1: although he's got a couple of residences. A convoy of
- 1:19Speaker 1: vehicles pulled into his various houses, convoys of vehicles, and
- 1:24Speaker 1: they're searching everything. The search is continuing as we speak.
- 1:29Speaker 1: This is again, this is going to be really ugly
- 1:31Speaker 1: before it's over. We have assembled off the Iranian coast,
- 1:36Speaker 1: off the near Iran. We have the biggest strike force
- 1:40Speaker 1: we've assembled in I think ever, maybe huge, huge, huge
- 1:47Speaker 1: strike force. We've just sent the USS gerald Ford there.
- 1:50Speaker 1: That is the largest warship on Earth. It's the most
- 1:54Speaker 1: advanced aircraft carrier we have nuclear powered. It's designed to
- 1:59Speaker 1: carry more than seventy five aircraft F thirty five c's
- 2:03Speaker 1: lightning two stealth fighters, super hornets, growler radar jamming jets.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I mean, this is serious stuff. This is in addition
- 2:12Speaker 1: to everything else. We've got four destroyers there. We've got
- 2:16Speaker 1: destroyers patrolling the straits of Hormoose. We've got the Lincoln
- 2:22Speaker 1: warship is there. So this is really really serious stuff.
- 2:25Speaker 1: This is way way way beyond what we did in Venezuela.
- 2:29Speaker 1: And Iran is doing what Iran usually does, being ridiculous,
- 2:36Speaker 1: threatening everything on Earth, threatening the president, threatening all kinds
- 2:41Speaker 1: of stuff. But again Maduro tried that it's not a
- 2:44Speaker 1: good strategy, but if they were smart, they would make
- 2:48Speaker 1: a deal of some kind. We are negotiating with them
- 2:51Speaker 1: in Europe. I think in Paris, if they had any brains,
- 2:55Speaker 1: they would make a deal. But they can think they're
- 2:57Speaker 1: just too stupid to do it. Here's the White House
- 2:59Speaker 1: Press Secretary.
- 3:00Speaker 3: President has always been very clear though with respect to
- 3:02Speaker 3: Iran or any country around the world, diplomacy is always
- 3:04Speaker 3: his first option. And Iran would be very wise to
- 3:08Speaker 3: make a deal with President Trump and with this administration.
- 3:11Speaker 1: The keywords they're very wise. That's not Iran very crazy,
- 3:15Speaker 1: but not very wise. Here's Vice President Vance.
- 3:18Speaker 4: We do have a very powerful military. The President's shown
- 3:20Speaker 4: a willingness to use it. He also has a remarkable
- 3:22Speaker 4: diplomatic team. He shown a willingness to use that too.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Our primary interest here is we don't want Ran to
- 3:27Speaker 4: get a nuclear weapon.
- 3:28Speaker 1: We don't want nuclear proliferation.
- 3:30Speaker 4: If I Ran gets a nuclear weapon, there are a
- 3:32Speaker 4: lot of other regimes, some friendly, some not so friendly,
- 3:34Speaker 4: who would get nuclear weapons after them. That would be
- 3:37Speaker 4: a disaster for the American people. The President has all
- 3:39Speaker 4: options on the table.
- 3:41Speaker 1: The brilliant response from Iran.
- 3:45Speaker 2: We have stated these many times. My own statements are
- 3:48Speaker 2: not important. What matters from an ideological standpoint is the
- 3:51Speaker 2: policy and the fautois of the Supreme Leader. We are
- 3:55Speaker 2: in no way seeking nuclear weapons. Whatever form of verification
- 3:59Speaker 2: they want to carry out, we are ready for that
- 4:01Speaker 2: verification to take place.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Well, that's great if you like lying gibberish. AOC is
- 4:06Speaker 1: more clear than that. What a word solid of nonsense.
- 4:09Speaker 1: So and again we've seen with the bombing of the
- 4:14Speaker 1: Iran nuclear facilities, which was an incredible military operation, from
- 4:19Speaker 1: the seizing of Maduro where we unveiled all kinds of
- 4:22Speaker 1: secret weapons nobody knew we had that just paralyzes the enemy. Literally,
- 4:26Speaker 1: we've seen all this. Obvious we always had the most
- 4:30Speaker 1: powerful military. But it's obvious that everything under Trump in
- 4:33Speaker 1: the last year has been cranked up to absolute state
- 4:36Speaker 1: of the art and beyond military weapons, tactics, techniques, and
- 4:41Speaker 1: say what you want about Pete Hegseith, but he he
- 4:44Speaker 1: is run now in his first year some of the
- 4:46Speaker 1: most amazing, unbelievable military operations ever. So if I were Iran,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I would take note of that. I would take note
- 4:54Speaker 1: of that. Obviously, our intelligence is very good over there.
- 4:58Speaker 1: When we took out the nuclear actress. If and people
- 5:01Speaker 1: are saying this could happen soon as soon as a Saturday,
- 5:04Speaker 1: a couple of days from now. But if this happens,
- 5:06Speaker 1: obviously we will very very quickly, in just seconds, take
- 5:09Speaker 1: out every military asset of Iran. If we wanted to
- 5:13Speaker 1: go in and just seize the leader and take them out,
- 5:15Speaker 1: physically take them out. We saw how we can do
- 5:18Speaker 1: that with Maduro. So keep an eye on that could
- 5:21Speaker 1: happen this weekend. State of the Union. It is Tuesday.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Maybe they want to have it done by Tuesday. Who knows,
- 5:28Speaker 1: but keep an eye on it. Nancy Guthrie, Hey, they're
- 5:33Speaker 1: looking in Mexico. There is a couple of these ransom notes.
- 5:36Speaker 1: They don't know if they're real, they're not real, but
- 5:39Speaker 1: a couple of them have indicated that she's in Mexico.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Where she lives is very close, like sixteen miles from
- 5:45Speaker 1: the border. So as the kidnappers escaped, obviously be smart
- 5:51Speaker 1: and quick to get over the border into Mexico. We
- 5:54Speaker 1: have apparently started working with Mexican authorities for them to
- 5:58Speaker 1: start helping. You know, there's a task. Everybody hates this
- 6:01Speaker 1: local sheriff there what's his name, Nano Nanos whatever, isn't it.
- 6:06Speaker 1: They just think he's a Barney Fife, grandstanding, small town
- 6:10Speaker 1: bumbling a show off. But we've got the FBI there.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Apparently with the FBI and the FEDS, the Trump is sent.
- 6:17Speaker 1: They have a team of four hundred people on the ground,
- 6:21Speaker 1: four hundred working on this. Here's Harvey Levin.
- 6:23Speaker 5: The search for Nancy got three has gone international. We
- 6:26Speaker 5: have learned the FBI has told federal Mexican law enforcement
- 6:31Speaker 5: to tell various police agencies to be on the lookout
- 6:35Speaker 5: for Nancy and her kidnapper. Now, our law enforcement sources
- 6:39Speaker 5: are telling us that it is possible. They believe that
- 6:43Speaker 5: Nancy was taken across the border, but they doubt if
- 6:47Speaker 5: she is across the border, that it happened directly after
- 6:51Speaker 5: the kidnapping.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Well, we'll see. Hey, Stephen Colbert, this is hard to
- 6:56Speaker 1: believe he lied to us. Could you believe that Albert lying? Well,
- 7:01Speaker 1: this all started when he was trying to push a
- 7:04Speaker 1: certain candidate who's running for the Senate in Texas, Tarrico,
- 7:09Speaker 1: what's his name, tall Ico? And they had him on
- 7:13Speaker 1: to do a big interview with him to help promote him.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Try to help him win that Senate seat that primary. Well,
- 7:21Speaker 1: the FCC stepped in. Now, there has always been this
- 7:24Speaker 1: equal time law. If you have a candidate on during
- 7:28Speaker 1: an election, you're supposed to offer a time to the
- 7:30Speaker 1: opposing candidate. This equal time law has been there for
- 7:32Speaker 1: a million years. However, over the last twenty thirty years
- 7:37Speaker 1: it stopped being a factor. They just stopped enforcing it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: They never bothered anybody with it. Nobody ever said anything
- 7:44Speaker 1: but the Trump administration because the media is so biased
- 7:47Speaker 1: now and such fake news, they decided to start enforcing
- 7:51Speaker 1: that again. So they've let people know they've been apparently
- 7:54Speaker 1: investigating the view because they've been having Also it's a
- 8:00Speaker 1: one sided nonsense. When they want to push a Democrat,
- 8:03Speaker 1: they're having a Democrat on and never allowing any Republican
- 8:06Speaker 1: equal time. And that's what Colbert was doing here, not
- 8:08Speaker 1: allowing the opponent equal time. Well, Colbert's been lying to
- 8:12Speaker 1: us all week claiming that a CBS stepped in and
- 8:15Speaker 1: said he can't have this guy on. They refused to
- 8:17Speaker 1: air the interview, and CBS and everybody involved pointing out
- 8:22Speaker 1: they never said that to him. They simply said you
- 8:24Speaker 1: can't air this unless you offer the other side equal time,
- 8:28Speaker 1: which is fair. We would all do that. Remember during
- 8:31Speaker 1: the mayor oll race, we had Curtis on all the time.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Every couple weeks we had Curtis on. Now, if I
- 8:37Speaker 1: ever got a call from Andrew Cuomo or the Mom
- 8:39Speaker 1: Donnie campaign said we want equal time, you'd say yes.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Of course, you would say yes. Well, why would I
- 8:45Speaker 1: say no? Now? They never called because they know it's
- 8:49Speaker 1: probably not going to be a a friendly interview. I mean,
- 8:53Speaker 1: we wouldn't be unfriendly, but we'd ask him tough questions
- 8:56Speaker 1: and debate them on. So they generally don't ask. But
- 8:59Speaker 1: of course would give equal time. But Colbert, being a
- 9:02Speaker 1: totally corrupt sleees ball partisan, wouldn't allow the other side
- 9:06Speaker 1: equal time. Jasmine Crockett says they tried, but they couldn't
- 9:11Speaker 1: get anywhere. So even the FCC commissioner on television yesterday
- 9:15Speaker 1: pointing out they never ever would say, you can't have
- 9:17Speaker 1: this guy on. You have to offer for equal time.
- 9:20Speaker 1: It's the right thing to do, it's the fair thing
- 9:23Speaker 1: to do. In fact, whenever if I went on and
- 9:26Speaker 1: said terrible things about somebody and they called and said, hey,
- 9:30Speaker 1: I want an equal time of course you'd give it
- 9:31Speaker 1: to him, you know, a major figure, a candidate, a politician,
- 9:35Speaker 1: of course you would. But Colbert being the dirty weasel
- 9:39Speaker 1: that he is, so he lied about all of this
- 9:43Speaker 1: and there's not going to be any real consequence. He's
- 9:47Speaker 1: already fired. There's nothing you can do. I guess that's
- 9:49Speaker 1: one reason he behaves so badly. He's already fired. His
- 9:53Speaker 1: last day is in May. He's already fired. What can
- 9:56Speaker 1: they do to him? They could pull him off their
- 9:57Speaker 1: early but it's you know, it's a big show. As
- 10:01Speaker 1: far as the production. It's like one hundred and twenty
- 10:03Speaker 1: people work on this show. So if you're the network,
- 10:07Speaker 1: when you cancel Stephen Colbert or any network show, you
- 10:10Speaker 1: have to leave it on for a few months. For
- 10:11Speaker 1: a lot of reasons. You got to figure out what
- 10:13Speaker 1: to do with these hundred and twenty CBS employees. You
- 10:16Speaker 1: try to place them somewhere else. You've got this massive
- 10:19Speaker 1: theater that you got to figure out what you're going
- 10:20Speaker 1: to do with that. Also, you do have affiliates. There's
- 10:23Speaker 1: a couple hundred TV stations that are affiliates, and if
- 10:26Speaker 1: it's a network show, you can't just drop it that night.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Because now what do the affiliates do? So you got
- 10:31Speaker 1: to figure out something to give them or give them
- 10:33Speaker 1: time to come up with an alternative plan. Hey, there's
- 10:39Speaker 1: a big trial going on with Mark Zuckerberg testifying the
- 10:44Speaker 1: company Facebook. It's actually called Meta, but the company is
- 10:48Speaker 1: being accused, like the other social media companies, TikTok and
- 10:52Speaker 1: all of that stuff, Instagram, of using these algorithms to
- 10:56Speaker 1: suck you in and make you binge. These algorithms get
- 11:01Speaker 1: you addicted, addicted to tiktoks. In the suit came from somebody,
- 11:08Speaker 1: twenty year old woman who said it ruined her life.
- 11:11Speaker 1: She got so addicted she was on Instagram or Facebook
- 11:16Speaker 1: sixteen hours a day. Listen. I'm kind of on Zuckerberg's
- 11:22Speaker 1: side on this. Hey, by the way, the other companies Google, YouTube, Snap,
- 11:26Speaker 1: TikTok all settled the case. They didn't want to go
- 11:29Speaker 1: through this. They cut last minute deals. But I don't
- 11:32Speaker 1: blame a meta. Zuckerberg is fighting this. Yeah, I'm sure
- 11:36Speaker 1: they do arrange the algorithm to try to keep you on,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but everybody does it. Hey, we do that here, every
- 11:43Speaker 1: radio show, every radio station does that. Every radio What
- 11:47Speaker 1: do you call that forward motion? When you go to
- 11:50Speaker 1: the commercial. Every newscast on TV, every TV show they
- 11:54Speaker 1: do that. They just don't say, here's the commercial and
- 11:57Speaker 1: then we'll be back. They say, hey, coming up next,
- 12:00Speaker 1: exclusive interview with so and so. That's to get you
- 12:02Speaker 1: to stay through the commercial. And there's all kinds of
- 12:05Speaker 1: things you do during a show to keep people listening.
- 12:09Speaker 1: It's called the teas. You tease them with something coming
- 12:11Speaker 1: up so they don't go away. It's done everywhere. It's done.
- 12:15Speaker 1: It's done in restaurants, it's done in supermarkets. You know,
- 12:19Speaker 1: when you go to the restaurant, you open the menu,
- 12:22Speaker 1: you think, well, they just listed what they have. Now,
- 12:24Speaker 1: there's all kinds of tricks on that menu. They lay
- 12:27Speaker 1: it out in a certain way to trick you into.
- 12:30Speaker 1: You know, they always put at the top of the
- 12:32Speaker 1: list something really expensive. Let's say it's the entrees. So
- 12:37Speaker 1: there's some caviat something this one hundred and ten dollars.
- 12:41Speaker 1: You go, oh my god. Now right under it they
- 12:44Speaker 1: got the chicken a dish and that's thirty two dollars.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Now when you see that, you go, well, that's better.
- 12:51Speaker 1: I'll get that. When if it was, if they didn't
- 12:54Speaker 1: put that ridiculous expensive thing at the top you would
- 12:57Speaker 1: have normally you would have said thirty three dollars or chicken.
- 13:00Speaker 1: That's a lot of money. So there's all kinds of tricks.
- 13:02Speaker 1: You know, when you walk into a supermarket, they've laid
- 13:04Speaker 1: it out. It's a trap. Everything is an algorithm designed
- 13:08Speaker 1: to get you to spend more money. You know, when
- 13:10Speaker 1: you walk into any supermarket, the part you walk into
- 13:13Speaker 1: is very brightly lit, and you notice wherever you walk in,
- 13:17Speaker 1: the first thing that's around you are flowers and happy stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 1: That's to get you in a good mood. Also, you
- 13:24Speaker 1: smell the flowers. It gets you smelling. Then everybody, most
- 13:28Speaker 1: people turn right because they're right handed, so you'll always
- 13:31Speaker 1: come in and turn right. What do you get when
- 13:33Speaker 1: you turn in right? The bakery is there, so you
- 13:36Speaker 1: smell the bakery. It gets you hungry, it gets you
- 13:38Speaker 1: in the mood, and then it's all laid out to
- 13:42Speaker 1: trap you. You know, they put the expensive items eye
- 13:44Speaker 1: level on the shelves. There are cheaper versions, but they're
- 13:47Speaker 1: down below. Eye level is the expensive stuff. And they
- 13:52Speaker 1: always put the essentials, the things you're probably there for,
- 13:56Speaker 1: way in the back, all the way in the back,
- 13:58Speaker 1: like eggs milk all the way in the back, so
- 14:02Speaker 1: that way you got to go through every aisle to
- 14:04Speaker 1: get to this stuff. It's all a trap. Everybody does
- 14:07Speaker 1: that restaurant, you know, restaurants do that. They've got it
- 14:10Speaker 1: all figured out. They know exactly the temperature that'll make
- 14:13Speaker 1: you hungry. It's seventy two degrees. The music is always
- 14:17Speaker 1: sixty beats per minute, right to your heart beat, makes
- 14:19Speaker 1: you comfortable, makes your order. It's all a trap. I
- 14:25Speaker 1: speaking to restaurants. I was in Connecticut last weekend. Lodon weekends.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I go to Connecticut. I Saturday, I can't find my
- 14:32Speaker 1: credit card. Did I lose it? Did I drop it?
- 14:36Speaker 1: And then I'm thinking where did I use it? Well,
- 14:38Speaker 1: the night before Friday night, I was at Jay House.
- 14:41Speaker 1: That's a great restaurant Connecticut, Greenwich, probably the hottest restaurant Connecticut.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Jay House. I said, I ate there, maybe I left
- 14:48Speaker 1: it there. I go over there. I walk in. There's
- 14:52Speaker 1: Tony the owner, and I said, hey, I think I
- 14:54Speaker 1: left my credit card here last night. I felt really stupid,
- 14:58Speaker 1: but he said, hey, let me check. Says something to
- 15:01Speaker 1: somebody behind the counter. They hand him a stack of
- 15:04Speaker 1: like thirty five credit cards and he's going through. I said,
- 15:08Speaker 1: that's how many people leave their credit card He says, yeah,
- 15:10Speaker 1: every day, it's normal. So I didn't feel so stupid.
- 15:14Speaker 1: There was my credit card in there. So then every
- 15:15Speaker 1: restaurant I went to, I said, you have a stack
- 15:17Speaker 1: of credit cards people left every restaurant. They pull it. Yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 1: here's one hundred and twelve these. Everybody leaves credit cards
- 15:23Speaker 1: every night. Now, a year ago, I lost these sunglasses,
- 15:29Speaker 1: really nice sunglasses. I couldn't. I don't know where. I
- 15:32Speaker 1: think maybe I was eating in a lascal last night.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Maybe I left them there. I went right over there.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I said, did you find a pair of sunglasses? And
- 15:41Speaker 1: the manager says well, and I start describing. He said, well, no,
- 15:44Speaker 1: wait wait, you can look for them yourself. I said,
- 15:46Speaker 1: what do you mean. He pulls out a box of
- 15:48Speaker 1: two hundred sunglasses that were left there. So it's not
- 15:51Speaker 1: just me unbelievable. So I'm looking through them now. And
- 15:57Speaker 1: then after that, every time I went to a restaurant
- 16:00Speaker 1: of a box of sunglasses and people left every restaurant,
- 16:03Speaker 1: they reach behind the counter, pull up a box of
- 16:05Speaker 1: two hundred, three hundred sunglasses that are left there. So
- 16:09Speaker 1: ain't know sunglasses. You pay a fortune for him. You
- 16:11Speaker 1: don't have to pay it for him. Just go into
- 16:12Speaker 1: a restaurant and say I left my sunglasses. They'll pull
- 16:15Speaker 1: up that box at two hundred. Just see any pair
- 16:18Speaker 1: of you're like, this is it? Thank you. Hey, we'll
- 16:20Speaker 1: take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two one
- 16:23Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 16:26Speaker 1: one zero seven ten.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Get instant access to Mark by setting a pre set
- 16:32Speaker 5: in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and his podcast.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simone show on wor.
- 16:41Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to John and Danberry, Connecticut. John,
- 16:45Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 16:47Speaker 6: Very well, mister Simone. I've been listening to you since
- 16:49Speaker 6: the report on the overturned Chinese food delivery.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Oh Chinese, the tractor trailer overturned and put Chinese food
- 16:59Speaker 1: over the highway. I gotta find that clip and play it.
- 17:02Speaker 1: It's pretty funny.
- 17:03Speaker 6: It's a great clip. Now, my question to you is
- 17:05Speaker 6: that you are the cars in the radio. So do
- 17:08Speaker 6: you ever see a time where you might pen all
- 17:10Speaker 6: your memoirs for all of us?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Well, I've had about six or seven book deals through
- 17:15Speaker 1: the years, and I keep trying. I can't sit there
- 17:18Speaker 1: and write. It's very tough to do. I just don't
- 17:21Speaker 1: have the discipline. But I've been trying. I've been making notes.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But you got to sit there for like four hours
- 17:25Speaker 1: a day typing.
- 17:26Speaker 6: You have to do it.
- 17:27Speaker 1: It's tough to do. All right, I'll get it done.
- 17:30Speaker 1: I'll get it done. A lot of stories to tell
- 17:32Speaker 1: about a lot of people. All right, John, great call,
- 17:34Speaker 1: thanks for calling. Let's go to lou and Union, New Jersey. Lou,
- 17:37Speaker 1: how you doing. Come on, hold it down. People are
- 17:42Speaker 1: sleeping here. Go ahead, So go ahead.
- 17:47Speaker 7: About isn't there an exemption to the to the a
- 17:52Speaker 7: rule that let's put on two people?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Well, yeah, there is an exemption if you're a news program.
- 17:58Speaker 1: You could put on a political candidate if you're a
- 18:01Speaker 1: news show. But the FCC has made it clear they
- 18:04Speaker 1: do not consider Colbert a news show. You know, The
- 18:07Speaker 1: View is under investigation for violating this equal time thing.
- 18:11Speaker 1: The View tried to claim they're a news show because
- 18:15Speaker 1: they do talk about stuff in the news, but you'll
- 18:18Speaker 1: never get away with it. The FCC does not believe
- 18:21Speaker 1: they're a news show. Because you got an actress, you
- 18:23Speaker 1: got a comedian. There's nobody there that's a newsperson, and
- 18:26Speaker 1: there are a bunch of goofy you know, Yenta's a
- 18:29Speaker 1: bunch of clucking hens. So I don't think you'll ever
- 18:32Speaker 1: ever be able to come in somebody. It's a news show.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing?
- 18:38Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark, Mark. I'm okay, Mark. I don't want
- 18:41Speaker 7: your audience to think I'm some shylock who's just interested
- 18:45Speaker 7: in squeezing jew side of people. I want to clarify
- 18:49Speaker 7: something I said yesterday. This proposed nine percent property tax
- 18:54Speaker 7: at Mundomie's proposing is above the ten percent property noticed
- 19:01Speaker 7: that I already received at the end of January. And
- 19:05Speaker 7: what most people don't know this goes through everything. The
- 19:10Speaker 7: power companies get a property tax increase, and sometimes they're
- 19:15Speaker 7: increased that fifteen percent or more because when they send
- 19:20Speaker 7: me the rate increases, they send also what building classification
- 19:26Speaker 7: you are? Commercial? This, that, and the other. The absolute
- 19:30Speaker 7: worst with the property tax increases was Build Blasio. There
- 19:36Speaker 7: were times when the homeowners in the city would get
- 19:42Speaker 7: fifty percent property tax increases. I got one from him
- 19:47Speaker 7: now atoms. This last property tax increase i'd gott in
- 19:51Speaker 7: January that was left over from the Atoms administration and
- 19:56Speaker 7: the whole day dug with all the illegal.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Vincent before we run at a time. You're an expert
- 20:03Speaker 1: on this because your own buildings, your own apartment plants,
- 20:06Speaker 1: your landlord, my family, and I yeah, explain, I know
- 20:10Speaker 1: you're an expert. Just explain to everybody. When you get
- 20:12Speaker 1: a property tax increase, you have to raise the rent, right,
- 20:15Speaker 1: you got to pass it along.
- 20:17Speaker 7: You have to because also what people don't understand. Your
- 20:21Speaker 7: electric rates are going to go up. Your fuel is
- 20:24Speaker 7: going to go up because the con edison owns property,
- 20:28Speaker 7: the gas company owns property, your local oil delivery man
- 20:35Speaker 7: owns property, or woman, they own property. All the goods
- 20:38Speaker 7: and services go up, even as I told Chris that
- 20:43Speaker 7: cup of coffee from the corner bodega to go up.
- 20:46Speaker 1: So the bottom line is when men Donnie does something
- 20:50Speaker 1: like this, increases the rent of everybody, middle income, lower
- 20:53Speaker 1: income rent increase Bock.
- 20:55Speaker 7: Yesterday there was a female black politician from Southeast Queen.
- 21:00Speaker 7: He's saying that this is killing black and Hispanic single
- 21:05Speaker 7: home ownership in the outer Bury's. Donald Trump said that
- 21:10Speaker 7: these property taxes in these Blue States is equivalent to
- 21:14Speaker 7: pay in the mortgage. So stane is they're finished paying
- 21:17Speaker 7: their mortgage off in their golden years, they're still paying
- 21:21Speaker 7: the mortgage.
- 21:22Speaker 1: It comes back in the form of properties. Ex Vincent,
- 21:24Speaker 1: We got to go for the news, but excellent call.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Will continue this topic and others in
- 21:29Speaker 1: a moment because Jimmy Fayla will be with us next.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Jimmy Fayler coming up right after the news on seven
- 21:34Speaker 1: to ten wr.
- 21:36Speaker 5: IS Martimony is back on seven to tenor well.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Jimmy Fayler, the great talk show host, the excellent comedian.
- 21:46Speaker 1: He's on every night at nine o'clock on WR. You
- 21:49Speaker 1: can hear him from nine to Midnight's great show, very
- 21:51Speaker 1: funny and in addition to five nights a week here
- 21:54Speaker 1: on WR at nine o'clock, he does the best late
- 21:57Speaker 1: night show in television every Saturday night at ten Fox
- 22:01Speaker 1: News Channel. Best monologue on TV. Donald Trump raves about it.
- 22:05Speaker 1: It's a great show. Watch at ten o'clock Saturday nights,
- 22:08Speaker 1: Fox News Channel. Jimmy Fayla, how you doing.
- 22:12Speaker 8: I'm doing better than Colbert That's how I'm doing. What
- 22:16Speaker 8: a dumb stunt that was? Mark Simone.
- 22:20Speaker 1: He lied.
- 22:22Speaker 8: Yes, He's like, yeah, they banned me from Evan this
- 22:26Speaker 8: guy on the show. And what I love about it
- 22:28Speaker 8: is the lawyers blew him up as he was taping
- 22:31Speaker 8: yesterday's episode that or the night before they sent out
- 22:34Speaker 8: the statement being like, oh, he could totally have him
- 22:36Speaker 8: on the show, and they just chose not to, which
- 22:40Speaker 8: is like he's trying to get fired because he wants
- 22:42Speaker 8: to be Basically, he wants to host the Oscars, you know,
- 22:45Speaker 8: like Kimmel, you know, kisses everybody's butt in Hollywood and
- 22:48Speaker 8: that kind of makes him attractive to them. He wants
- 22:51Speaker 8: to get the Kimmel for you know, leftovers when this
- 22:53Speaker 8: whole shebang shebu ends. Can you think of anything worse
- 22:57Speaker 8: to do with David Letterman's legacy than be trying to
- 23:00Speaker 8: become Jimmy Kimmel stunt double oh Ugh Hey.
- 23:07Speaker 1: A couple articles this week about how he and Kimmel
- 23:10Speaker 1: have ruined Late night. It used to be entertainment at night,
- 23:12Speaker 1: funny fun They turn it into like an angry, agenda
- 23:16Speaker 1: driven political nonsense. You on Saturday Night. You're the closest
- 23:21Speaker 1: thing we have now to Johnny Carson. You do a
- 23:23Speaker 1: great monologue. But you go after both sides, right, It's balanced,
- 23:26Speaker 1: isn't it.
- 23:26Speaker 8: Well, yeah, like you're supposed to be there to laugh.
- 23:30Speaker 8: That's the biggest crime for Colbert. It's not equal time
- 23:34Speaker 8: to Republicans. It's he needs to give equal time to comedy. Okay,
- 23:39Speaker 8: spend half of your show, just half of your show
- 23:42Speaker 8: making people laugh, and then they're doing you out the
- 23:44Speaker 8: other half. Make a cooking segment. I don't care. But
- 23:47Speaker 8: the point is when we get on our show, there
- 23:50Speaker 8: is not a wasted word, Like you'll never hear us
- 23:52Speaker 8: utter a word that's not aimed towards some type of
- 23:55Speaker 8: comedic outcome, regardless of what you think of a joke.
- 23:58Speaker 8: We're just trying to have fun because the thing is
- 24:01Speaker 8: in comedy specifically, these were the rarest jobs in television. Like,
- 24:06Speaker 8: if you want a guy on TV making a serious
- 24:08Speaker 8: point or yelling about something, you have seven million.
- 24:12Speaker 7: Of those people.
- 24:13Speaker 8: If you want a guy that's like legitimately trying to
- 24:15Speaker 8: make you laugh and is like, hey, I'm a mess,
- 24:18Speaker 8: so you.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Know, light up, it's gonna be okay.
- 24:20Speaker 8: There's like three of us. There's not a lot of
- 24:22Speaker 8: us left, you know, it's you know, it's me obviously.
- 24:25Speaker 8: You know Guttfeld, our little comedy dwarf here at Fox.
- 24:28Speaker 8: He does fine. And you know, Jimmy Fallon, to his credit,
- 24:32Speaker 8: is trying to do a fun late night variety show.
- 24:34Speaker 8: Their lips syncing, they're playing games, they're doing things. But
- 24:38Speaker 8: they kind of Colbert and Kimmel ruined him because they
- 24:41Speaker 8: made him play their game, like when Late Night got political.
- 24:45Speaker 8: You know, Fallon had to sit there for a few
- 24:47Speaker 8: years and pretend he cared. And he doesn't care about
- 24:50Speaker 8: anything except what time the bar opens.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You know, you're right, I can't picture Stephen Colbert doing
- 24:56Speaker 1: a cooking segment making fun of fun stuff with an animal.
- 25:00Speaker 1: You're right, you can't do any of that normal snuff.
- 25:02Speaker 1: So was he ever No? Was he ever a stand up.
- 25:07Speaker 7: No?
- 25:08Speaker 8: So what happened was he obviously you know, got his
- 25:11Speaker 8: big break off of John Stewart on The Daily Show
- 25:14Speaker 8: because he was playing the character as you know that
- 25:16Speaker 8: was basically impersonating like a right wing pundit. But that
- 25:20Speaker 8: was a character. You know, his actual personality is pretty unlikable,
- 25:24Speaker 8: and the truth is he's actually bad for real, He's
- 25:27Speaker 8: bad to comics. I'll give you two good examples. Okay,
- 25:30Speaker 8: you know when a you know, when a comedian does
- 25:32Speaker 8: a late night show like on Carson back in the day,
- 25:34Speaker 8: that would have been a career defining moment for a
- 25:36Speaker 8: comic if you went on Carson, had a good set,
- 25:39Speaker 8: he called you over to the couch. What Colbert does
- 25:42Speaker 8: back when he used to air stand ups, is he
- 25:44Speaker 8: would tape their stand up sets on a separate night.
- 25:47Speaker 8: He'd have like ten guys come into the theater and
- 25:49Speaker 8: do comedy sets, and he wasn't even there for them.
- 25:52Speaker 8: What So when you see, yes, when you see a
- 25:54Speaker 8: guy do stand up on Colbert, they're actually tossing to
- 25:57Speaker 8: a pre taped four minute package straight up like nobody
- 26:02Speaker 8: else does that. Kimmel doesn't do I mean your Fallon
- 26:04Speaker 8: doesn't do that. Fallon's great, he's great the comics.
- 26:06Speaker 1: That's the most demeaning thing I've ever heard. That's horrible.
- 26:10Speaker 8: Yeah, so think about it, like if Johnny Carson didn't
- 26:13Speaker 8: have you on the couch, you know, it wasn't the
- 26:15Speaker 8: best sign. But imagine Carson didn't even want to be
- 26:18Speaker 8: on the couch himself.
- 26:19Speaker 1: For your sex.
- 26:21Speaker 8: Forget you not coming to the couch. He's not coming
- 26:23Speaker 8: to the couch.
- 26:24Speaker 7: That's terrible.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Wow. Hey, and I don't know if you go ahead, no,
- 26:28Speaker 1: go ahead?
- 26:30Speaker 8: I was gonna say. Fallon famously, when I got my
- 26:33Speaker 8: late night show sent me a really nice note in
- 26:35Speaker 8: a case of his tonight show ice cream.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Wow. Yeah, yeah, Well it was a.
- 26:41Speaker 8: Lot nicer than the beg of Anthrax.
- 26:44Speaker 1: But hey, are you upset about the arrest of Prince Andrew?
- 26:53Speaker 8: Forget me for this, because I did tweet this. I said,
- 26:55Speaker 8: he's at least he's finally looking at something over eighteen there.
- 26:59Speaker 8: It is good, I but really funny stuff. One point
- 27:02Speaker 8: I would make is it looks like he's getting arrested
- 27:05Speaker 8: for trade secrets. Yeah, so it's not necessarily even all
- 27:09Speaker 8: of the shady misconduct in malfeasans we've read about down
- 27:13Speaker 8: at Epstein Island so much as this is his official
- 27:16Speaker 8: capacity in the government. So this doesn't make me more hopeful,
- 27:20Speaker 8: meaning like that people here are going to get arrested.
- 27:22Speaker 8: I don't actually think that's gonna happen to you.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Well, here's the bad thing though, He's apparently still in
- 27:28Speaker 1: custody eight hours later, and it said that the police
- 27:31Speaker 1: have now at both his homes are now searching. You know,
- 27:35Speaker 1: they'll go through his computer. Can you imagine what they're
- 27:37Speaker 1: gonna find on that.
- 27:38Speaker 8: To Yeah, that guy. I mean like like, you know,
- 27:42Speaker 8: it's bad when Hunter Biden's nervous about what they're gonna
- 27:45Speaker 8: find on your last top.
- 27:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:47Speaker 8: I don't know about the Vandrew guy. That's not good.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, Hey mom, Donnie, remember when he was running
- 27:54Speaker 1: he was so charming, smile and a great salesman who
- 27:57Speaker 1: was just Now he's in office, he looked It's like
- 28:00Speaker 1: the most bumbling idiot in the world and know what
- 28:02Speaker 1: to do? What happened to smile? What happened all the promises? Yeah?
- 28:06Speaker 8: I mean, maybe more importantly, what happened to the cop?
- 28:09Speaker 8: This is crazy. Yeah, listen, we're we didn't vote for this, okay, obviously,
- 28:17Speaker 8: but the people who did are getting what we told
- 28:19Speaker 8: them they would get. Okay, it was always a fraud
- 28:22Speaker 8: from word one. He was a catchy TikTok guy. But
- 28:26Speaker 8: there's a lot of catchy TikTok guy. You know what
- 28:28Speaker 8: I'm saying. There's a guy on TikTok right now who
- 28:30Speaker 8: slow dances with a cat gonna get ten million people click, Like,
- 28:34Speaker 8: doesn't mean, he should be.
- 28:35Speaker 1: In charge of our city ladies and gentlemen.
- 28:37Speaker 8: And that's the problem with electing a fancy TikTok guy.
- 28:40Speaker 8: Is this jackass who you know, as you know, was
- 28:44Speaker 8: going to freeze the rent is now jackie up property taxes, which,
- 28:47Speaker 8: as you know, is going to raise the rents.
- 28:49Speaker 7: Wow.
- 28:50Speaker 8: So the opposite of everything he was promised. And me
- 28:52Speaker 8: and you called it out because remember when he won,
- 28:54Speaker 8: We were on here that week joking about how he
- 28:57Speaker 8: had a cash bar at.
- 28:58Speaker 1: His victory point.
- 29:00Speaker 8: So if the guy ran on free healthcare, free groceries,
- 29:03Speaker 8: free everything else, and he's charging you twelve bucks for
- 29:06Speaker 8: a bud light, yeah, something tells me you're not getting
- 29:08Speaker 8: a ride home on a free bus.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Py the uh Mamdannie. A few years ago, AOC goes
- 29:16Speaker 1: to this European conference. She's asked the most basic, simple
- 29:19Speaker 1: foreign policy question. And I knew she was stupid, But
- 29:22Speaker 1: did you know she was that stupid to give that
- 29:24Speaker 1: dumb in answer.
- 29:26Speaker 8: No, I you know, I realized she had gone to college.
- 29:29Speaker 8: I just I didn't know she was a valedictorian at
- 29:31Speaker 8: the Quality Leering Center out in Minneapolis. Turns out she
- 29:35Speaker 8: graduated at the head of that class.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Yeah, uh dumb. So I think the only one that
- 29:41Speaker 1: liked that speech was Chuck Schumer. Well, actually, he probably
- 29:46Speaker 1: more nervous because now she probably screwed up any presidential chance,
- 29:49Speaker 1: which means all she can do.
- 29:50Speaker 8: Is yeah, but now she probably has to go Senate
- 29:52Speaker 8: and run against Chucky and he's got to keep lying
- 29:55Speaker 8: to us about voter I dated to see that clip
- 29:57Speaker 8: this week from ninety six of him being like, we
- 29:59Speaker 8: have to to have ID because all of these immigrants
- 30:01Speaker 8: are committing fraud. No one's even trying anymore in that party.
- 30:05Speaker 8: That's my frustration.
- 30:06Speaker 1: I have a lot of good.
- 30:07Speaker 8: Democrat friends, and they're so much better than the politicians
- 30:11Speaker 8: who represent them, and I think that's what we need.
- 30:14Speaker 8: We just need more of an effort because they're all lazy.
- 30:16Speaker 8: Like again, AOC flying to a foreign policy conference, Okay,
- 30:20Speaker 8: if you don't understand basic foreign policy, like you had
- 30:22Speaker 8: the whole flight over there to spend five minutes, put
- 30:25Speaker 8: down your Netflix on your iPad and read a book.
- 30:28Speaker 8: Imagine me, and you went to the Olive Garden convention
- 30:31Speaker 8: and they asked us about breadsticks and we didn't know
- 30:34Speaker 8: what to say for forty five seconds like, it's just laziness, Mark,
- 30:38Speaker 8: you know what it is?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, and chucks humor. Is he the biggest racist
- 30:43Speaker 1: on earth? To actually say minority voters why they can't
- 30:47Speaker 1: figure out how to get an idea? They wouldn't know
- 30:49Speaker 1: how to get it? What a racist thing to say?
- 30:51Speaker 1: How does he get away with?
- 30:52Speaker 8: That's it really is. It drives me crazy because comics
- 30:56Speaker 8: get in trouble for telling jokes. This is and they're like,
- 30:59Speaker 8: well that Joe soun of insult, but it's a joke.
- 31:01Speaker 8: Like the premises, we're kidding. He's not kidding. He's getting
- 31:05Speaker 8: on TV and saying these people don't know how in
- 31:08Speaker 8: the year twenty twenty five. Okay again, if black people
- 31:12Speaker 8: don't have ID that means the movie Snakes on a
- 31:14Speaker 8: Plane is Snakes and an uber or something because you
- 31:17Speaker 8: can't even get on the plane. Okay, that's the point.
- 31:20Speaker 8: Damuel Jackson is just standing outside the airport because he
- 31:22Speaker 8: can't get in.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Unbelievable. Well, hey, you got to listen to Jimmy Faile
- 31:26Speaker 1: on the radio every night at nine o'clock nine to midnight.
- 31:30Speaker 1: It's a great show, very funny. He does a great
- 31:32Speaker 1: what do you have on tonight at at nine.
- 31:34Speaker 8: Ooh, we got a lot going on. Comedian Dave Landale's
- 31:38Speaker 8: going to be here. Wesley Hunt's coming by because he's
- 31:40Speaker 8: the other candidates again. He's running as a Republican in
- 31:44Speaker 8: the Senate in Texas, so he technically is involved in
- 31:47Speaker 8: this cold Bear fiasco. And then tomorrow we got Tom
- 31:50Speaker 8: Holman in studios, so I got to tell my stamps
- 31:52Speaker 8: to hide their drugs.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Well, Tom Holman is always great. Nobody better with him
- 31:57Speaker 1: than you. So that's that every night nine to midnight
- 32:00Speaker 1: here on WOOR and make sure you watch his late
- 32:04Speaker 1: night TV show Saturday nights at ten, best late night
- 32:07Speaker 1: show on television. It's too early to know what you're
- 32:09Speaker 1: gonna do Saturday night, is it?
- 32:11Speaker 8: Oh? We got John Chaffer from bar Rescue on Oh
